The Echo Flight UFO Incident: James Carlson is Still Wrong After All These Years

     Saying that the moon is made of green cheese doesn’t make it true, even if one repeats that claim over and over, hundreds of times, or finds a small band of like-minded believers who parrot the claim.

It’s not entirely clear why James Carlson continues to post countless comments online, denying the existence of UFO reports during the Echo Flight missile shutdown incident at Malmstrom AFB, Montana, on March 16, 1967, in the face of witness testimony to the contrary—including from one of the missile launch officers present that day.

Carlson knows about the tape recorded conversation (see below) between myself and now-retired Col. Walter Figel, the deputy missile commander at Echo during the incident, in which he told me that he had indeed received a radio call from a security guard at one of the Echo missile silos, saying that he was observing “a large, round object” hovering “directly over the site.”


Figel also confirmed that he had, in response to the call, sent out two Security Alert Teams to investigate the report and that at least one of them confirmed seeing the object hovering over the missile silo. Figel also said that he and James’ father, Captain Eric Carlson, had been debriefed back at Malmstrom and told not to talk about the incident.

While my recorded conversations with Col. Figel took place between 2008 and 2010, he had made nearly identical statements in another taped phone conversation,(see below) with former Minuteman missile launch officer Bob Salas, in 1996.


There are other U.S. Air Force veterans who have also gone on the record about a UFO involvement in the Echo Flight incident, as well as a Boeing Corporation engineer, Robert Kaminski, whose job it was to find out why the missiles malfunctioned.

In 1997, in a letter to researcher Jim Klotz, Kaminski wrote that, “There were no significant failures, engineering data or findings that would explain how ten missiles were knocked off alert. In other words there was no technical explanation that could explain the event.”

Kaminski also wrote, “Meanwhile I was contacted by our representative at OOAMA [Office, Ogden Air Material Area], Don Peterson, and told by him that the incident was reported as being a UFO event—that a UFO was seen by some airmen over the Launch Control Facility at the time E-Flight went down.”

Actually, the large round object sighted by the missile guard and reported to launch officer Lt. Walter Figel, had been hovering over one of the Echo missile silos, not the launch control facility itself. Nevertheless, Boeing engineer Kaminski’s revealing testimony essentially confirms Figel’s account of a UFO-presence during the incident.

Of course, if James Carlson were ever to admit that Kaminski’s letter is important, or that Figel’s tape recorded statements to me and Bob Salas do indeed contradict his father’s now-discredited claim that there were no UFOs reported at Echo Flight, he would in effect be admitting that he has been making a complete fool of himself online for the past several years, by championing his dad’s untenable position and, in doing so, viciously insulting the other veterans and researchers who dare challenge it.

This is one reason why Carlson will never, in his many online rants about Echo Flight, provide a link to the tape recorded admissions by Col. Figel that are available online.

After all, one can hear Figel tell me that, while he was skeptical of the UFO report he received from the security guard, it nevertheless did indeed occur. Figel also says, clearly on the tape, that while he thought the guard might be joking, that individual’s demeanor was calm and businesslike. “He seemed to be serious and I wasn’t taking him seriously,” Figel told me.

When I posted the transcript of this conversation-excerpt in 2008, James Carlson doubted it’s accuracy and chided me to post the actual tape recording. When I eventually did, Carlson then claimed that I had doctored it to make it prove my points. All challenges by me, to have a team of audio experts examine the tape—to verify that it is pristine and unaltered—have been ignored by Carlson and his supporters. Of course, they would have to pay for that expensive analysis so, it seems, they are not prepared to put some money where their skeptical mouths are.

Another reason James Carlson does not want others to listen to my tape recorded conversations with Col. Figel is because he refutes Carlson’s claims, calling them “off-base”. Figel also says that Carlson “has an ax to grind,” something that James certainly does not want others to hear—given that Carlson incessantly cites Figel as someone who supports his own position. Regardless, James’ relentless hate campaign is quite obvious to anyone who reads his breathless tirades against me and Bob Salas.

Even Carlson’s handful of supporters have urged him to tone it down, given the manic, often hysterical tone of his blog comment postings in which he wildly attacks anyone who supports the notion of a UFO presence at Echo Flight during the shutdown incident. Other, unaffiliated readers of his rants—who have no strong opinion about the case, one way or the other—have called him a “nut”, “wacko”, “fruitcake” and the like.

Years ago I myself accused James Carlson of “foaming at the mouth”. However, that was before I learned that he had been medically discharged from the U.S. Navy due to a diagnosis of epilepsy. One symptom sometimes exhibited during epileptic “fits” is indeed a frothing at the lips during the seizures. Once I had James’ medical situation brought to my attention, I never again used that unkind characterization of his online outbursts.

Nevertheless, James’ usually bizarre, over-the-top tirades against me and Bob Salas—he has called us “liars and frauds” countless times—raises the issue of his state of mind. When I spoke with his father Eric, in October 2008, he continued denying that UFOs had been reported at Echo Flight, however, when I asked why his son was so out of control in his online posts, Eric responded, “James has some problems.”

That same month, in a phone conversation with an associate of mine, Eric told him that he was concerned that James would “have a nervous breakdown.” (I am willing to testify under oath in a court of law that the elder Carlson’s comment to me was exactly as I have portrayed here, and that I have accurately related the other conversation as it was presented to me.)

So, does James Carlson incessantly lie about the facts relating to the UFO events at Malmstrom Air Force Base because he is psychologically unbalanced, or is it just due to his complete lack of ethics? Or both?

Regardless, the questions remain: Why is James Carlson so unwilling (or perhaps unable) to accept the fact that his father misled him when he said that there were no UFO reports at Echo Flight at the time of the mysterious, full-flight missile shutdown? Why does James continue to deny or, in some posts, twist Col. Figel’s candid, taped remarks to me and Bob Salas?

Similarly, why does Carlson repeatedly lie about Salas’ former missile commander, Col. Frederick Meiwald, who has made emphatic remarks supportive of Salas? In 2011, Meiwald told me during a taped conversation (see below) that UFOs were indeed present at a different flight—Oscar—when those missiles malfunctioned eight days after the Echo incident.


Although Meiwald had been on a rest break in the launch capsule when the ICBMs began “dropping off alert status”, once awoken by Salas, he witnessed most if not all of the missiles malfunctioning.

Meiwald also confirmed that moments later, in response to triggered alarms at one of the silos, Salas had dispatched a two-man Security Alert Team to the site. Those men, said Meiwald, saw “a bright, flying object at low-level.” near the missile silo and immediately fled back to the Oscar Launch Control Facility. One man was so distraught that he had to be transported to the base hospital before completing his shift.

James Carlson has for years loudly proclaimed that Salas was lying when he said that he had witnessed a UFO-related missile shutdown at Malmstrom in 1967. True, until Salas located Meiwald in 1996, he couldn’t remember the designation of the flight and thought that he might have been at Echo or November.

Nevertheless, by the time Carlson started his public vendetta against Salas in the late 1990s, Col. Meiwald had already discussed the UFO-related events at Oscar Flight with Salas during a taped telephone conversation (see below). Meiwald later wrote him a follow-up letter (see below) containing more details.

Fortunately, James Carlson has a relatively small audience, even though he has posted hundreds of comments about these topics at various websites over time. Unfortunately, his hard core supporters, whose strong anti-UFO biases apparently allow them to endorse a delusional (or, perhaps, merely dishonest) person’s baseless charges, keep egging him on, rather than urging him to seek the help he obviously needs.

Now, in the wake of Bob Salas’ recent revelation about having had an apparent UFO abduction experience in 1985, the usual critics are gleefully sharpening their knives. Given their blanket rejection of anything UFO-related, Carlson and his crew can be expected to go after Salas with renewed viciousness.

Importantly, six other former U.S. Air Force personnel have provided similar accounts to me in recent years. Those individuals had previously been involved in a nuts-and-bolts UFO incident in one of the nuclear missile fields operated by various Strategic Air Command bases. Then, weeks, months or years later, they allegedly had an experience comparable to the one now being revealed by Bob Salas. In short, his account is not unique.

I will have more to say on this last subject at some point in the future. At the moment, I am still gathering data. While the number of military veterans who have told me of their strange follow-up experiences is quite small, compared with the number who make no such claim, their accounts obviously deserve serious, unbiased investigation.

Out of the closet, into the fire

For more than six years, De Void has tended to avoid the whole alien abduction thing because, well, radar tracks, multiple eyewitnesses, detectable electromagnetic effects and videos are one thing. Nasal probes, mindscans, teleportation, hybrids — that’s an entirely different conversation. Although, if UFOs are truly the manifestation of the technology they appear to be, running circles around our most advanced weapons systems, then it stands to reason that literally anything is possible. But if that’s true, if Zeta Reticulans or whatever can move like vapors into our bedrooms, then we’re all screwed, and De Void’s not into that. Furthermore, try to goad the mainstream media into getting a grip on the idea of beaming humans aboard starships seriously; hell, De Void can’t even get Texas public radio reporter Wade Goodwyn to examine ordinary FAA/National Weather Service records that painted a UFO incident he covered in his own back yard.

Retired Air Force captain Robert Salas has spoken publicly on several occasions about UFOs scanning U.S. ICBMs, but he never talked about his abduction experience until now/CREDIT: news.discovery.com

But, deep breath, here we go: Recently, retired Air Force captain Bob Salas went public with his own abduction experience. And there’s no getting around it because Salas was one of the first military veterans to go on record about UFOs tampering with and disabling U.S. nuclear missile systems. His example emboldened dozens of other USAF veterans to step up and share their stories about high strangeness in the missile fields. Salas took a no-nonsense stance and wasn’t afraid to call people out if he thought they were being dingbats. He spent years crafting a rep as a fully grounded left-brain type.

Now this -- an abduction in 1985 in Huntington Beach, Calif. You can read all about at the Open Minds site. The salient passage (cringe): “He floated off the bed towards the locked bedroom window, which he felt certain they [the aliens, presumably] would be unable to lock. Nevertheless, he went through the window in an upright position and was taken aboard a craft. He was shown a needle, eight to twelve inches in length, which was inserted into one of his testicles in order to collect semen.” Oy vey! “The pain was excruciating, and when Salas complained to his abductors, the pain suddenly ceased. This was followed by a physical checkup in which his back seemed to be of primary interest. He next remembers moving through a curved hallway and seeing a bright light before suddenly finding himself back in his bed.”

As abduction accounts go, this one’s pretty routine. Salas states he never forgot the incident after it occurred, but he didn’t recover the details until undergoing hypnotic regression in 2006. Only then did he begin discussing it with his wife Marilyn who, even today, recalls only the broader aspects.

“I don’t remember nearly as much as Bob does. I think I was being an ostrich about it, like, if I stuck my head in the sand it’d all go away,” Marilyn says from their home in Ojai, Calif. “I remember being on the side of the bed that faced the doorway, and when I opened my eyes, there was a foggy, bluish, gray light down the hallway that seemed to be coming from the living room area. That’s all I remember, but it was a freaky thing at the time and I shut my eyes, thinking ‘I don’t believe what I just saw.’ It was so strange I didn’t even mention it to Bob the next morning.” Nor did hubby say mention it to her.

Though they met in 1969, Marilyn says Bob didn’t even discuss the Minuteman missile shutdown at Malmstrom AFB, which happened just two years earlier, until the mid-1990s. Even then, it would be another decade before he started asking if she remembered a blue-light incident from Huntington Beach. Bob pressed the issue a lot farther than Marilyn did.

“Honestly, I don’t have any desire to know more than the blue light,” she says. “My concern, when Bob decided to discuss it openly, was how the general public was going to respond to it. But this is something Bob felt like he needed to do.”

Salas says he wanted to spill the beans as soon as he got sharper visuals through hypnosis. “Understandably," he says, "I wanted to fully establish my primary story before I talked about this. I did not factor my reputation into it — I’m not trying to make anyone’s life more difficult. But I feel a responsibility not only to myself but also to the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of people, who’ve been abducted.”

So there it is — the point man on UFOs and WMD, out of the closet. Will it damage his credibility? No doubt. Salas is unconcerned. “I’ve already received some blowback, but so be it,” he says. “But they’re not just here to fly around in our airspace. Something else is going on. If they're taking eggs and they're taking semen, then they're producing hybrid beings. And it could be either horrifying or unifying, depending on how you want to look at it.”

De Void doesn't want to look at it at all. Nevertheless.

A passenger aircraft had a narrow miss with an unidentified object “UFO” over Glasgow, a report has revealed.

The Airbus A320 was making its final approach to Glasgow Airport on 2 December when an object passed about 300ft underneath it.

The pilot of the aircraft said the risk of collision with the object, which did not show up on radar, had been “high”.

A report by the UK Airprox Board said investigators were unable to establish what the object had been.

The A320 was flying with its landing lights on, in clear conditions and at an altitude of about 4,000ft above the Baillieston area of Glasgow, when the pilot and non-flying pilot saw an object “loom ahead” at a range of about 100m.

The object passed directly beneath the aircraft before either of the crew members had time to take avoiding action or had “really registered it”.

But they both agreed that it appeared to have been blue and yellow or silver in colour with a small frontal area, but “bigger than a balloon”.

The pilot asked the controller at Glasgow Airport if he was “talking to anything in the area” as he had “got quite close” to a blue and yellow aircraft, travelling in the opposite direction, which had passed just below him.

The controller stated that he was not talking to anyone else in that area and that nothing was seen on radar.

Search action was taken with no result and the A320 pilot stated his intention to file a report to Airprox, which investigates near misses.

Air traffic control said they had no trace of any other objects in the area at the time of the incident, although the radar at Prestwick did spot an “unidentified track history” 1.3 nautical miles east of the A320′s position 28 seconds earlier.

Once the aircraft had landed, the pilot told the Glasgow Aerodrome Controller: “We seemed to only miss it by a couple of hundred feet, it went directly beneath us. Wherever we were when we called it in it was within about 10 seconds. Couldn’t tell what direction it was going but it went right underneath us.”

When asked if he thought it may have been a “glider or something like that” the pilot replied: “Well maybe a microlight. It just looked too big for a balloon.”

The Airprox report concluded: “Investigation of the available surveillance sources was unable to trace any activity matching that described by the A320 pilot. Additionally there was no other information to indicate the presence or otherwise of activity in the area.”

The report said the Airprox board had been of the opinion that the object was unlikely to have been a fixed wing aircraft, helicopter or hot air balloon, given that it had not shown up on radar.

It was also thought that a meteorological balloon would be radar significant and unlikely to be released in the area.

A glider could not be discounted, the report said, but it was unlikely that one would be operating in the area because of the constrained airspace and the lack of thermal activity because of the low temperature.

Similarly, the board believed that a hang-glider or para-motor would be radar significant and that conditions precluded them, as they did para-gliders or parascenders.

The report stated: “Members were unable to reach a conclusion as to a likely candidate for the conflicting aircraft and it was therefore felt that the board had insufficient information to determine a Cause or Risk”.

The Airprox report included a transcript of the conversation that took place between the aircraft and the controller at 12:55:

A320: “Glasgow Approach [A320 C/S]”

EGPF: “[A320 C/S] pass your message”

A320: “Er yeah we just had something pass underneath us quite close [1255:30] and nothing on TCAS have you got anything on in our area”

EGPF: “Er negative er we’ve got nothing on er radar and we’re n- not talking to any traffic either”

A320: “Er not quite sure what it was but it definitely er quite large [1255:40] and it’s blue and yellow”

EGPF: “OK that’s understood er do you have a an estimate for the height”

A320: “Maybe er [1255:50] yeah we were probably about erm four hundred to five hundred feet above it so it’s probably about three and a half thousand feet.”

UFO hotspots don’t get much hotter than an active volcano.  Mexico’s Popocatépetl volcano has been the site of hundreds of sightings over the past few years.  UFOs have been reported flying over the smoking mountain as well as entering and exiting the volcano.  

This is an amazing catch of a cross like UFO that is also caught cloaking on live cam. This footage was recorded at 13:53:50 or 1:53 pm. UFOs have been caught near around and over this volcano for many years,” says Scott C. Waring, author of UFO Sightings Daily.

Épave spatiale ou « Satellite » Extraterrestre, le « Chevalier Noir » tel qu’il est appelé aujourd’hui – a maintenant trainé dans le coin depuis quelques temps. Cette découverte est probablement la plus célèbre des objets spatiaux qui orbitent notre Planète. Ce « Satellite Artificiel » a provoqué un intérêt majeur des médias à partir de la deuxième moitié des années 1950, et est devenu l’un des objets de l’espace les plus discutés. D’abord considéré comme un satellite d’espionnage Russe, le Chevalier Noir a saisi l’intérêt de millions de personnes à travers le monde.

Selon les agences de surveillance à travers le monde, le Chevalier Noir transmet des signaux radio depuis plus de 50 ans.

Les Etats-Unis et l’Union Soviétique ont démontré un intérêt particulier pour cet « objet spatial non-identifié ». Depuis sa découverte, ce satellite a intéressé des pays comme la Suède et les passionnés de par le monde. L’un d’entre eux est un opérateur radio qui apparemment a décodé une série de signaux reçus du satellite OVNI et les a interprété en tant que plan stellaire concentré sur le système solaire d’Epsilon Bootis, et que le Chevalier Noir est venu de ce système il y a 13 000 ans. (Wikipedia – Epsilon Bootis est une étoile de la constellation du Bouvier. Elle porte également les noms traditionnels Izar ou Pulcherrima.)

Mais selon plein de gens, cette découverte a été faites plus tôt que nous le pensons.

Les rumeurs disent que c’était Nicolas Tesla qui a été le premier à avoir « intercepté » un signal de ce satellite d’un autre monde en 1899 après la construction d’un dispositif radio à haute tension dans le Colorado. Après la découverte de Tesla, 30 à 50 ans plus tard le signal a été intercepté plus fréquemment jusqu’à ce qu’il ne soit apparemment « décodé ». A partir des années 1930 les astronomes du monde entier ont rapporté d’étranges signaux radios qui prétendument proviennent du « Chevalier Noir ».

En 1957, le Dr. Luis Corralos du Ministère des Communications du Venezuela l’a photographié alors qu’il prenait des photos de Spoutnik II alors qu’il passait au dessus de Caracas. L’étrange objet n’était en rien similaire au premier ou deuxième Spoutnik, Le Satellite du Chevalier Noir orbitait la Terre d’Est en Ouest. Spoutnik I et II orbitaient d’Ouest en Est en utilisant la rotation naturelle de la Terre afin de maintenir leur orbite.

L’histoire du Chevalier Noir a fait ses débuts dans les médias dans les années 1950 quand leSt. Louis Dispatch et le San Francisco Examiner écrivirent à propos du « Satellite » le 14 Mai 1954. Le Time Magazine a écrit un article dessus en Mars 1960. Voila ce qui était dit à propos de lui.

Il y a trois semaines, les grands titres annonçaient que les Etats-Unis avaient détecté un mystérieux satellite « noir » se déplaçant au dessus de nos têtes sur une orbite régulière. Il y avait la spéculation nerveuse que cela pouvait être un satellite de surveillance lancé par les Russes, et il apporta la sensation désagréable que les USA ne savaient pas ce qu’il se passait au dessus de leur propre crâne. Mais la semaine dernière le Ministère de la Défense a fièrement annoncé que le satellite avait été identifié. Le 23 Août 1954 le magazine de technologie de l’aviation hebdomadaire et Technologie Spatialepublièrent une histoire qui a irrité le Pentagone qui essayait de garder l’information secrète.

La peur du Pentagone en rapport à l’observation de deux satellites orbitant la Terre, qui n’avaient pas été observés auparavant s’est dissipée par l’identification des objets comme étant naturels, et non des satellites artificiels. Le Dr. Lincoln LaPaz, expert des corps extraterrestres de l’Université du Nouveau Mexique, dirigeait le projet d’identification. L’un des satellites orbite à plus de 600 km, alors que l’autre est à plus de 900 km de la Terre. Le Pentagone pensa momentanément que les Russes avaient battu les Etats-Unis dans la course à l’exploration spatiale.

L’intérêt pour le Chevalier Noir était plus important chaque année, en 1957, un « objet »inconnu a été aperçu en train de « projeter son ombre » sur l’engin spatial Spoutnik I. D’après les rapports, l’ »objet non-identifié » était en orbite Polaire, et à cette période les Etats-Unis tout comme les Russes ne possédaient pas la technologie afin de maintenir un engin spatial en Orbite Polaire. D’après notre recherche le premier satellite orbitant le pôle Nord a été lancé en 1960. Les orbites polaires sont souvent utilisées pour cartographier la Terre, l’observation terrestre, prendre des photos de la Terre et pour des satellites de reconnaissances. Cela placerait le Chevalier Noir dans la catégorie des Satellite observateur, la seule question ici est, qui a placé le Chevalier Noir sur une orbite Polaire et dans quel but?

L’Objet continua d’époustoufler les astronomes du monde entier. En 1960 le Chevalier Noir était à nouveau localisé en orbite Polaire. Les astronomes et scientifiques ont calculé le poids de l’objet et ferait 10 tonnes, ce qui aurait été à cette période le satellite artificiel le plus lourd en orbite autour de notre Planète. L’orbite du Chevalier Noir n’était pas comme celle des autres objets en orbite autour de la Terre, car il se déplaçait deux fois plus vite comparé aux vaisseaux fabriqués par l’homme.

En 1963, Gordon Cooper a été envoyé dans l’espace. Sur son orbite finale, il a rapporté avoir vu un objet vert brillant en face de sa capsule au loin se déplaçant dans sa direction. La station de suivi de Muchea, en Australie, que Cooper avait contactée pour rapporter la présence de l’objet, a récupéré l’objet non-identifié sur son radar voyageant d’Est en Ouest. NBC a rapporté cela mais après le retour de Cooper sur Terre, le journaliste n’a pas été autorisé à demander à Cooper son avis sur l’objet non-identifié. L’explication officielle donnée aux observations de Cooper était « un très haut niveau de dioxyde de Carbone qui causa des hallucinations. »

Le Chevalier Noir a été un sujet d’intérêt partout dans le monde. Jusqu’à nos jours la plupart des informations « officielles » sur l’objet mystérieux sont gardées en sécurité et à l’écart de la société. Personne n’a répondu à certaines des questions les plus simples et logiques à poser, qui a placé ce « satellite » en orbite Polaire? Pour quel but?

Est-ce que le Chevalier Noir est un satellite Extraterrestre envoyé sur Terre pour étudier la Race Humaine? Est-ce que le Satellite essaye de communiquer avec la race humaine? Avons-nous ignoré les tentatives de communications? Une chose est certaine, le Chevalier Noir reste l’un des objets les plus mystérieux en orbite autour de notre Planète. Y a-t-il une connexion entre cet objet spatial célèbre et les anciens accomplissements de l’humanité?

1. Mysterious energy beam above the Bosnian pyramid of the Sun.
 

A team of physicists detected an energy beam coming through the top of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. The radius of the beam is 4.5 meters with a frequency of 28 kHz. The beam is continuous and its strength grows as it moves up and away from the pyramid. This phenomenon contradicts the known laws of physic and technology. This is the first proof of non-herzian technology on the Planet. It seems that the pyramid-builders created a perpetual motion machine a long time ago and this “energy machine” is still working.

In the underground labyrinth, in 2010, we discovered three chambers and a small blue lake. Energy screening shows that the ionization level is 43 times higher than the average concentration outside which makes the underground chambers into “healing rooms”.

Further electromagnetic detection in 2011 confirmed that levels of negative radiation through the Hartman, Curry and Schneider grids are equal to zero in the tunnels. There was no technical radiation (from power lines and/or other technology) found in the tunnels and no cosmic radioactivity. Ceramic sculptures are positioned over the underground water flows and the negative energy is transformed into positive.

A similar event occurred in 2009.

On June 24, 2009, a beam of light was captured on photo above the ChiChen Itza Pyramid (on the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico).

The witnesses that captured this photo, did not see anything there until seeing it in the photos.

2. Unique discovery was made in Bosnia Pyramids! 

Where exactly? It was near well known Sarajevo, beside the town of Visoko.

The main pyramid, Pyramid of the Sun is not a small or unimpressive structure. It is 220 meters high and the width of sides is more than 360 meters! Exterior of the revealed pyramid is covered, or better say tiled, by stone-hard blocks made of original mixture and by genuine technology. These pyramids are located in China, but up until a few decades ago, China has denied the existence of them.

Chinese scientists claim that the pyramids are burial mounds, but since these pyramids have never been (officially) excavated, it is pure speculation that these pyramids are part of the tombs mentioned in written records.
