Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Natuurkundigen willen wereld van draadloze stroom voorzien met Tesla Tower
“Tesla had gelijk en wij zijn er klaar voor om dat te bewijzen!” Dat zeggen twee Russische natuurkundigen die een crowdfundingcampagne zijn gestart om aankomende herfst de Wardenclyffe Tower van Nikola Tesla te kunnen herbouwen.
Tesla was van mening dat de toren stroom door de lucht kon transporteren, maar hij heeft zijn idee nooit kunnen bewijzen met een demonstratie. Toen bleek dat het stroomverbruik van afnemers niet te meten was, trokken de meeste investeerders zich terug. Bovendien zou bij eventueel succes het reeds bestaande elektriciteitsnet met alle investeringen in één klap overbodig en dus waardeloos zijn geworden.
Met de toren willen de Russische wetenschappers de wereld voorzien van schone energie. Leonid en Sergei Plekhanov hebben vijf jaar onderzoek verricht naar de toren en denken dat het project haalbaar is.
De onderzoekers schrijven: “Nikola Tesla heeft het zogeheten ‘Magnifying Transmitter System’ tot in detail omschreven. Wij zijn een groep moderne natuurkundigen, die veel weten over de werking van zijn wereldenergiesysteem. We hebben zijn werk uitvoerig onderzocht en zijn tot de conclusie gekomen dat Tesla op de goede weg was.”
Het ontwerp van de toren is gebaseerd op het idee dat we al een relatief onbeperkte energiebron hebben: de zon. Een zonnecentrale met een omvang van 100.000 vierkante kilometer ergens in de woestijn is al genoeg om de hele wereld van elektriciteit te voorzien. Het probleem is echter dat al deze stroom moet worden gedistribueerd.

A U.S. ecologist has claimed that humans are not from Earth but were put on the planet by aliens tens of thousands of years ago.
Dr Ellis Silver points to a number of physiological features to make his case for why humans did not evolve alongside other life on Earth, in his new book.
They range from humans suffering from bad backs - which he suggests is because we evolved in a world with lower gravity – to getting too easily sunburned and having difficulty giving birth.
Dr Ellis says that while the planet meets humans’ needs for the most part, it does not perhaps serve the species’ interests as well as the aliens who dropped us off imagined.
In his book, HUMANS ARE NOT FROM EARTH: A SCIENTIFIC EVALUATION OF THE EVIDENCE, the ecologist writes the human race has defects that mark it of being ‘not of this world’.
‘Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth's environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more,’ he told Yahoo.
Dr Ellis says that humans might suffer from bad backs because they evolved on a world with lower gravity.

‘This suggests (to me at least) that mankind may have evolved on a different planet, and we may have been brought here as a highly developed species.’

Dr Ellis said the book is intended to create debate, instead of being a scientific study and hopes it will lead to people getting in touch with him with further suggestions of 'evidence'.
While other scientists have said some bacteria arrived on Earth from space, Chris McKay, an astrobiologist at NASA, said that to jump to the conclusion that it is alien life is ‘a big jump’.

Professor Wainwright from the University of Sheffield plans to investigate further, and believes that life is constantly arriving from space that did not originate on Earth.
Dr Ellis says that while his idea is an extreme evolution of that idea, it is intended to be thought-provoking and he claims to have had a largely positive response to it.
He is interested in whether humans came to Earth separately, perhaps by arriving on meteors and comets, before evolving into the species we know today.
‘My thesis proposes that mankind did not evolve from that particular strain of life, but evolved elsewhere and was transported to Earth (as fully evolved Homo sapiens) between 60,000 and 200,000 years ago,’ he says.

I was a soldier serving in Cyprus in 1958. Myself, a subaltern officer and a driver had visited an internment camp for EOKA men in the Troodos mountains. After we had made our visit we continued along the dirt track road in the Landrover until the road became hazardous. Whilst the driver turned the vehicle around the officer stretched his legs and I climbed up the steep side of the trackside towards a clump of bushes to use the bathroom. As I arrived at the bushes, which were about four feet high, I looked over and saw that they were on the ridge of a hollow. About twenty five feet away in the opposite side of the hollow two figures were bending over and looking intently at a boulder. They both stood up and looked directly at me. The striking thing about them was that they were both very white in appearance, as if wax, with very little features. I could only see the upper part of them and they appeared to have eyes and what I thought was their head had no neck but seemed to be part of their body. They just stood and stared at me; I turned and rushed down to the vehicle and urged the driver to leave immediately. I did not tell either of my companions what I had seen because I could make no logical conclusion for what it might have been. Those things, whatever they might have been, looked nothing like the images we see of aliens and if they had been, they would most certainly have challenged me. We were at a good altitude and a considerable distance from any village or settled habitation. I have puzzled over it since that time.

The World Genographic Project has been testing haplogroups worldwide and until recently has had no cause for alarm, until it was discovered that between 4000 – 6000 years ago a small group of extremely unusual DNA was introduced into the population of Denmark. Geneticists have named it “Haplogroup I1” and have no idea where it came from. It only appears in the Nordic races and to small degrees in countries that have been invaded by Nordics, such as England and Ireland. No other group of people on the planet Earth have this DNA unless they have come in contact with Nordic peoples. It is the root cause for the Nordic appearance. All other Europeans and most humans have R, R1a, or R1b haplogroups.

Witness said: A single object composed of connected white orbs is easily detected by the naked eye with the footage I took while videoing an overhead Air Canada flight. Although the object is moving quickly, the camera captured it clearly in 11 frames. The object appears metallic or reflective and bears no resemblance to any known bug or bird in my area.
De Europese wapenfabrikant MBDA heeft in de Amerikaanse staat Californië een reeks tests met een 'superraket' succesvol afgerond. De negen proeven met de 'Brimstone 2' werden eind vorig jaar en begin dit jaar uitgevoerd in opdracht van het Britse ministerie van Defensie. Maar waarom wordt het wapen een 'superraket' genoemd? Volgens de maker van Brimstone mist de superraket "bijna nooit" zijn doel, zo luidt het op een reclamewebsite van MBDA voor het projectiel. De tests die onlangs in de VS werden uitgevoerd, onderbouwden die stelling alvast. Van de negen lanceringen, miste geen enkele raket zijn doel. Indrukwekkend, wetende dat het doelwit bijvoorbeeld een voertuig betrof dat met ruim honderd kilometer per uur door de Mojavewoestijn scheurde.
De raketten werden afgevuurd door een drone die tot op elf kilometer afstand van het doelwit en op een hoogte van ongeveer zes kilometer vloog.
Een slim lasersysteem in combinatie met het betere radarwerk maken van de Brimstone een meer nauwkeurige raket dan zijn voorgangers, zoals bijvoorbeeld de Hellfire. Dergelijke tuigen worden nu nog gebruikt door de Amerikanen, maar hebben als minpunt dat ze in de omgeving van het doelwit ontploffen. De kans dat de scherven - die bij de explosie vrijkomen - ook 'collateral damage' zoals burgerslachtoffers veroorzaken is dan niet onbestaande.
De Brimstone 2 werkt met een zogenoemde 'shape charge', een lading waarbij de kracht van een ontploffing een precieze richting wordt uitgestuurd. De kans op 'collateral damage' is daardoor veel kleiner.
Volgens de Britse nieuwssite gebruikte de Britse luchtmacht (RAF) de projectielen al bij operaties in Aghanistan en Libië. De raket is momenteel de meest accurate op de markt, aldus MBDA. Het Nederlandse magazine Kijk schrijft dat de proeven met de raket in de VS werden uitgevoerd in de hoop de Amerikanen te overtuigen om met het Europese bedrijf in zee te gaan.
Eén raket kost tussen de 160.000 en 170.000 euro. Dat is ook goedkoper dan de kostprijs van de oudere wapens, aldus nog het tijdschrift.

Few Americans have any idea what Operation BlueStar is, or how it’s about to transform this country. That’s why 34-year Silicon Valley insider Michael Robinson performed his own investigation into it.
Robinson says there’s an “economic war” brewing among the states trying to control Operation BlueStar, which could be the biggest development project of the decade.
He says California was the early front-runner to secure rights to the project, but that status has faded.
Texas Governor Rick Perry has viciously made his way to the forefront of the fight. He’s even appeared on Fox News and other media outlets pitching his state’s case.
Besides California and Texas, three other states are fighting for control of Operation Bluestar. But, Robinson believes the base will encompass multiple states.
Robinson isn’t the only one investigating Operation Bluestar.
Morgan Stanley released its own report on the project and determined that, “We are witnessing the most disruptive intersection of manufacturing, innovation, and capital experienced in more than a century.”
Wired Magazine believes this will usher in a “truly transformative revolution.”
But what Robinson has discovered that others haven’t is unique evidence that points to the exact site that this secretive project, which is projected to be 1,000 acres and include a 10-million square foot facility, will be built.
1. What was your prime motivation knowledge wise in creating your book “Alien Viruses: Crashed UFOs, MJ-12 and Biowarfare?”
I had been authenticating “leaked UFO documents” professionally since 1998, and had given several papers at my son Ryan’s conferences on UFO crash retrievals about authentication technique and reverse engineering. One of the documents alluded to the deaths of four technicians who were handling alien bodies from the Roswell crash. I thought that the possible personal threats like those of the War of the Worlds radio program in 1938 would have both a big interest and appeal to emotions. Therefore, I worked with excellent researcher Nick Redfern to dig up new information about these pathogens, and it turned out that some of them may well have been viruses. Many scientists have been concerned about whether contact with aliensmight be hazardous to them or to us.
2. Could you go into your background as a doctor and your aerospace career and being a long time MUFON Director?
Attached is an extensive biography with many of my publications. What you can conclude is that I had an exciting aerospace career, starting with missiles and ending with the International Space Station. At one time my company, McDonnell Douglas, did ask me to see if we could figure out how the UFOs worked. This launched me into awareness of the UFO problem and the reality of the craft. However, it is really only since my retirement after 43 years of engineering management that I began to focus on the authentication of UFO documents. I became committed to the value of the Mutual UFO Network in 1994 upon my retirement from McDonnell Douglas, and have been on their Business Board of Directors ever since.
3. Would go you into some of your personal thoughts on alien viruses with us?
I have many opinions based on reading about the reports and research of others. Since I am not a biotech engineer or an MD, my thoughts on alien viruses are not particularly technical. My opinion is that the evidence is impressive that there have been several occasions when humans have been infected by aliens. There are three occasions where it is pretty clear the humans died as a result, but this is really a rare situation. In my opinion, we humans on earth have been visited so often by so many different civilizations that we have built up immunity to most of the pathogens over the centuries. Most aliens do not seem to require isolation from our pathogens and there are many reports of close contact with aliens that seem to not result in any infectious disease. Nevertheless, the current Government protocols of avoiding direct contact would seem to be on the safe side.
4. Can you share some information with us about the mysterious deaths of key microbiologists and virologists?
One of the facets of this research that my colleague Nick Redfern noted (nearly always from publicly available materials) was the deaths of a seemingly large number of 29 microbiologists between 2001 and 2005, many of whom were working on biological warfare for various countries. My book provides specific facts about each death as available, and encourages the reader to suspect that they could not be totally random. However, neither Nick nor I have access to any classified material that would answer the question of why were they murdered (if they were). Two obvious possibilities are to prevent them from telling others of deadly pathogens or of the cures for deadly pathogens not yet known. Mentioning such deaths suggests that those who ordered them are not to be trifled with.
5. When it comes to government secret expenditures, what can you share with us?
Personally, I can tell you that during the cold war our intelligence community was trying to learn everything they could technically about what the Soviets were doing. One of my fields was radar and I tried to help understand the Soviet ballistic missile defense radar systems. This program, was of course classified, although its existence was expected and unclassified. So, I can say with confidence that there ARE huge Government secret expenditures, in my opinion, vastly larger than most credible people are willing to speculate. Secrecy, although helpful in keeping technology from our enemies, also has the effect of permitting lack of ethics sometimes and always favors the power of those in control.
6. What is the incredible revelation regarding the autopsy of alien bodies shared by an Area 51 insider?
“Anonymous John” was interviewed by colleague Nick Redfern, and I never personally met him nor know how to contact him if he is still alive. The only information I have is that which is on the ten pages dealing with his “revelations.” Personally, I think the most interesting observation by John is the Suit Study on page 293 that alluded to the ability of the suit itself to appear to have memory and to the apparent ability of the suit to impose emotional messages relating to the inability of the immune system to respond to viruses.
7. What are some ways that an alien virus could cause a contagion on the Earth and to your knowledge has it ever happened before?
Two classic stories have answered this question. The War of the Worlds, by H.G. Wells, in which the invaders from Mars appear to die as a result of catching the common cold, for which they have no resistance. The other classic is The Andromeda Strain, by Michael Crichton, where a pathogen leaked from a satellite sampler causes blood to clot in an unknown way, presumably by lethal viruses. The hero works with the microbiologist in an underground laboratory to find the cure before everyone dies. One whole chapter of my book is devoted to the Andromeda Strain because shortly after the release of the movie version (1971) of the book a scientist at Fort Detrick, Maryland (a biological warfare center) wrote a “white paper” called Andromeda: Fact or Fiction? that was circulated there. Later, one of three copies that had been made came back from the CIA with red handwritten notations and a big red classification stamp reading: Majestic 12-12-12 Approved, Spike-Back. It was more than ten years later when the Fort Detrick witness remembered the wording Majestic 12 when the 1984 documents became public. It is noteworthy that, although polio cases have occurred in the past, that in the 1940s and 1950s, towards the beginning of the massive numbers of UFO reports, the incidence of cases of polio were systematically studied by the Air Force to assess the correlation with UFOs both in location and timing. The report did NOT conclude with a clear statistical statement, leaving open this issue. In the meantime, the World Health Organization and Rotary International have successfully implemented a vaccination program that has essentially eliminated this epidemic. I am not aware of any claims backed up with data that would support evidence of a specific epidemic, other than the deaths of the Mexicans in the Chihuahua Mexico crash case of August 1974.
8. Would you share a crashed UFO story from your book that you are very intrigued by?
I like the Kingman, Arizona 1953 retrieval story for various reasons: there were multiple witnesses, there were live aliens present, and they seemed to be cooperative, suggesting that they were “helping us.” Also, the stories come from multiple sources, one of whom was on the recovery team. The aliens were consistent with EBE 1 described in the Special Operations Manual. I think it is possible that this is one of the first failed flights of one of “their” craft, based on other witness reports. Those who entered the craft became ill, possibly with a virus, although there is no report that they died, they seemed to be unable to remember what they saw inside the craft. These multiple aspects make Kingman one of the most interesting to me. Furthermore, it has been reported that the fiction book by Whitley Strieber, Majestic, is actually an accurate summary of what appears to have happened. I can’t find my copy of this book right now to confirm that.
9. What about the AIDS / Cattle Mutilation connection, would you go into this with us?
Pathogens, or substances that cause one to become ill, can be loosely classified by size as fungi (largest), bacteria, viruses, and prions. Examples of the ailments caused might be (in order) athlete’s foot or yeast infections, tuberculosis or syphilis, smallpox or Ebola, and mad cow disease. HIV, or the human immune deficiency virus, is responsible for AIDS. There is an issue of whether the HIV could have been intentionally created by the BW folks or by aliens as distinguished from being a natural evolution from the monkey viruses. This debate itself if very complex. Cattle mutilation, or the systematic removal of specific parts and blood from cattle and occasionally other animals, has been associated with the presence of both UFOs and with unmarked helicopters. One issue is whether is it our personnel who are doing this or the aliens or both. Another is whether they are doing it to prevent or monitor the spread or mad cow disease or for alien food. These debates are also very complex. The conclusion is that very little has been ruled out, and it is important to listen to the evidence supporting the subtleties of all of the interrelated hypotheses. What I can state with reasonable confidence is (1) the mutilation of cattle is real and is accomplished with advanced technology; (2) the Government has gone to extreme measures to keep the extent of the activity and their own investigations from the public; (3) there are a number of reports that some aliens do require the ingredients of blood as food.
10. This is a wild card question. What from the book would you like to share with us that our readers might find fascinating?
One of the most important aspects of researching leaked UFO documents is the numerous examples before the Roswell crash, starting with the “Battle of LA” documents in early 1942 up to those of June 1947. You can read about these starting on page 50 of the book. For example, a 1944 memo from FDR deals with “non-terrestrial science and technology” although it does not specifically mention viruses. The reason this is so critical is twofold: (1) it clarifies the extreme state of readiness planning for crash recoveries at the time of the Roswell and subsequent “crashes”; and (2) it gave us a much earlier start on reverse-engineering the craft and the technology.
11. What are you up to next-book-wise and or projects-wise. Also, any links you’d like to share or a contact email? Thanks for this interview.
I have two projects in mind at this time. The first is to accumulate the hints from the Cape Girardeau 1941 recovery and those of the Battle of LA to show that it is impressively credible to state there is good evidence that Purdue University Physics Department, under a classified contract, was so deeply involved in the electrical properties of germanium and silicon that they were actually the ones who discovered the technology that led to the transistor in 1945. Bell Laboratories’ Bill Shockley led the group that resulted in practical manufacturing, and was an attendee of the Purdue contract work. I would like to be able to prove this claim beyond a shadow of a doubt. The second project would be to use the latest techniques of forensic linguistics to authenticate the identity of the writers of some of the “leaked” documents that have been questioned, and show that the majority of them are essentially genuine, as distinguished from psychological warfare products. This project would inevitably come to grips with the degree and processes used in the past and today to suppress genuine information on UFOs, alien visitors, and reverse-engineered craft flying today.

The witness was in bed sleeping when at approximately 3 a.m. he was awoken after feeling something touch his forehead. He opened his eyes and saw that his bedroom was flooded in a sort of red glow or color. He was lying on his back and he looked up the wall above his headboard and was shocked to see a “doorway” (portal?) coming out of the wall. There wer…e two men side by side, and he could see a stairway going up into total darkness. The men appeared to be wearing leather jackets. They appeared to him as human and both had thick wavy black hair. One of them pointed what he thought was a gun at his forehead and for a second, he really thought he was going to be shot in the head. He was partially paralyzed, but was able to raise his right arm enough to actually get a hold of the man holding the “gun” wrist. He then saw what looked like tiny blue lights where the open end of a gun’s barrel would be. There was a red dull white light slightly larger than the tiny blue lights which went around the tip of the “gun” in a circle. He then realized that it was not a gun, but it was roughly the same shape of a handgun, only a little thicker down the barrel and tapering off where the lights were. It appeared to be made of some sort of shiny plastic. They placed the tip of the gun-like instrument against his forehead and at that point both men had a “perplexed” expression on their faces. It appeared that they were confused at whatever it was they may have been expecting to see. He managed to push the man’s wrist up and away from his head, with what seemed to him with very little effort. He had the feeling that the ‘men’ were not allowed to resist him if he attempted to push them away. That is why he reasoned, afterwards, that he managed to push his hand away so easily. Suddenly they were just gone, and the wall was normal again. It took a while for him to be able to move normally, and he was able to see that his wife had slept right through the entire episode. There was a dim red glow on his ceiling for about ten or so minutes after they had disappeared. He could see reddish traces on the tiny lumps of his stucco ceiling for quite some time as it slowly dissipated. According to the witness he did not experienced any fear, except maybe at the time when he thought he was going to be ‘shot’, but even then not as much fear as he would have expected. It seems to the witness that the men, whoever they were, were able to control his emotions and his body. His wife has no recollection of anything out of the ordinary, or did his three adult sons. He has not had any further incidents.

Enkele maanden geleden maakten sterrenkundigen bekend dat ze mogelijk een gigantische ‘planeet X’ hadden ontdekt voorbij Pluto. Spaanse wetenschappers zeggen nu dat er wellicht twee reuzenplaneten in het buitenste deel van ons zonnestelsel kunnen worden gevonden.
Astronomen vermoeden dat de omloopbaan van rotsachtige objecten voorbij Pluto wordt beïnvloed door een onontdekte planeet. Wetenschappers hebben berekend dat deze wereld ongeveer 10 keer zo zwaar moet zijn als de aarde en op zo’n 250 AE (astronomische eenheid) rond de zon draait.
Baanresonantie
Carlos en Raul de la Fuente Marcos van de Complutense Universiteit van Madrid hebben nog eens gekeken naar deze verafgelegen hemellichamen. Het tweetal stuitte op raadselachtige patronen. Het blijkt dat kleine groepen objecten gelijksoortige omloopbanen hebben. Omdat ze zelf niet zwaar genoeg zijn om elkaar aan te trekken, denken de onderzoekers dat ze worden beïnvloed door een groter object. Ze spreken in dit geval van baanresonantie.
De omlooptijden van de planeten Neptunus en Pluto om de zon bedragen bijvoorbeeld 165 en 248 jaar, dat wil zeggen een verhouding van 2 op 3. Hoewel de banen van Neptunus en Pluto elkaar deels overlappen, is er geen gevaar voor een botsing omdat de baanresonantie een situatie in stand houdt waarbij Pluto de baan van Neptunus alleen kruist als Neptunus ver weg is.
Op dezelfde manier is de kleine groep objecten in de greep is gekomen van een grote, verafgelegen planeet, die ongeveer net zo zwaar zou moeten zijn als Saturnus en op 200 AE rond de zon moet draaien.
Sommige van de kleinere objecten hebben een zeer langgerekte omloopbaan, waardoor ze de afstand van 200 AE van de zon gemakkelijk halen. Een grote planeet draait niet zomaar zo dicht rond andere objecten tenzij er sprake is van een dynamische verbinding met iets anders. Het zal niet gemakkelijk zijn om de veronderstelde planeten waar te nemen. De kleinere lichamen hebben een elliptische baan en werden alleen gezien toen ze het dichtst bij de zon kwamen. De grote planeten zouden daarentegen een cirkelvormige baan beschrijven en langzaam bewegen. Verder zouden ze vrij zwak zijn, waardoor ze met huidige telescopen lastig te zien zijn. “Het is niet verrassend dat ze nog niet gevonden zijn,” zei Carlos.
A team of Harvard scientists believe the remnants of an ancient Earth, dating to the time another planet collided with ours to produce the moon, may still be lodged deep within the Earth’s mantle
If you thought it was a trip to see the Earth from space, then wait until you get a load of this: A team of scientists from Harvard University believe that have found evidence that an ancient Earth exists inside the Earth.
The team believes that a previously unexplained isotopic ratio from deep within the Earth might be a signal from material from before the Earth collided with another planet-sized body, which led to the creation of the Moon. This might be an echo of an ancient Earth that existed 4.5 billion years ago, prior to the proposed collision.
The current favored theory says that the Moon was formed 4.5 billion years ago when the Earth collided with a mass the size of Mars, dubbed “Theia.” This theory states that the heat generated by the collision would have melted the whole planet before some of the debris spun off to create the Moon.
But now, the team at Harvard, led by Associate Professor Sujoy Mukhopadhyay, believe that they’ve found evidence to support that only part of the Earth melted, and that an ancient part still exists within the Earth’s mantle.
According to Professor Mukhopadhyay: “The energy released by the impact between the Earth and Theia would have been huge, certainly enough to melt the whole planet. But we believe that the impact energy was not evenly distributed throughout the ancient Earth. This means that a major part of the impacted hemisphere would probably have been completely vaporized, but the opposite hemisphere would have been partly shielded, and would not have undergone complete melting.”
The team analyzed the ratios of noble gas isotopes from deep within the Earth’s mantle and compared the results to isotope ratios closer to the surface. They found that 3He to 22Ne ratio from the shallow mantle is significantly higher than the equivalent ratio deep within the mantle.
Professor Mukhopadhyay remarked: “This implies that the last giant impact did not completely mix the mantle and there was not a whole mantle magma ocean.”
Further evidence comes from analysis of the 129-Xenon to 120-Xenon ratio. Material brought to the surface from the deep mantle has a lower ratio than what’s normally found near the surface. Because 129-Xenon is produced by the radioactive decay of 129-Iodine, the isotopes place the formation age of the ancient section of mantle to within the first 100 million years of Earth’s history.
“The geochemistry indicates that there are differences between the noble gas isotope ratios in different parts of the Earth, and these need to be explained. The idea that a very disruptive collision of the Earth with another planet-sized body, the biggest event in Earth’s geological history, did not completely melt and homogenize the Earth challenges some of our notions on planet formation and the energetics of giant impacts. If the theory is proven correct, then we may be seeing echoes of the ancient Earth, from a time before the collision,” said Professor Mukhopadhyay.
Professor Richard Carlson of the Carnegie Institution Department of Terrestrial Magnetism stated: “This exciting result is adding to the observational evidence that important aspects of Earth’s composition were established during the violent birth of the planet and is providing a new look at the physical processes by which this can occur.”
The findings of the team at Harvard coincide with a German team’s findings supporting the theory that the Moon was formed 4.5 billion years ago after a catastrophic collision with a planet-sized mass.
Both the Harvard and German teams presented their findings to the Goldschmidt Geochemistry Conference in California this week.

Hybrid History: Sasquatch Sexuality and Prehistoric Pairing

Reports of hairy humanoids in the Americas like Bigfoot have captured the public’s fascination for decades. The proposed existence of such creatures beckons to us, after a fashion, and hints at a primal element that even modern humans seem to possess after all these many thousands of years of evolution and pairing that have made us what we are today.
Most often, the stories we hear about Bigfoot entail creatures much larger than humans, but similar in their general bipedal posture, physiognomy, opposable thumbs, and other human-like traits they are said to possess. Larger than life in the very literal sense, the problem scientists face when trying to understand them is how such a creature, with their humanlike appearance and potential for intelligence, could exist undiscovered; save only for the scant recollections of those claiming to have had remarkable encounters with the things.
The encounters, as circumstantial evidence, must account for something: these “scant recollections” actually number in the thousands, and no single complete survey of all reports that have appeared online, in books over the years, on podcasts and radio shows, and which have circulated by word of mouth, has ever been organized and collected. Indeed, mass delusion on this scale would require a new understanding of psychology and the workings of the human mind, as well as a bleak new acceptance of the fallibility of the senses.
By contrast, the hard questions remain just as well: what would a group of creatures like Bigfoot consume, particularly in the remote regions of North America? Why have no bodies ever been recovered? For enough of a breeding population to exist, there would have to be enough of the creatures in existence for their regular appearances to occur; are the plethora of reports mentioned previously capable of accounting for this, and if so, why does the academic establishment still hesitate to take this subject seriously?
For the sake of conversation, let’s suspend our disbelief for a moment about whether or not such a creature could exist, and explore a hypothetical scenario involving human and Sasquatch relations that may be remarkably similar to another potential scenario in early human pre-history.
During a correspondence I had with an academic friend of mine recently, the subject of purported “Sasquatch kidnappings” in relation to the idea of hybridization between humans and other hominid species was brought up, at which time I posed the following observations:
If Native American legends among bands like the Chehalis and other Northwestern tribes are to be taken any more than on count of the novelty of their existence as legends, the multitude of Indian tales involving kidnappings of women by Sasquatches might equally bring forth the notion of forced copulation between similar species (i.e. rape) which, in an evolutionary sense, could be viewed as characteristic of one (male) member of a species’ unsuccessful ability to find a mate and procreate; the psychological component linked to this act with modern humans is representative of the “ultimate intrusion,” which no doubt hints at the evolutionary paths to trust and nurture we also find in child-rearing and development. Ultimately, perhaps all of the “civilized” demeanor we now exhibit today, for which the rudiments have no doubt influenced trust-bearing in all cultures, with generous consideration of sexual attitudes that vary among them, could be rooted in the evolution of sexual interactions (this idea has a pronounced Freudian element to it, I think). But again, in an evolutionary sense, the act of forced copulation provides a very different picture: if we suspend our disbelief for long enough, stories of Bigfoot kidnappings (which were far more common among Native Americans) might suggest a species of humans or proto-humans whose gene pool is becoming so stressed due to limited numbers, that they may have sought forcible coupling based on instinct.
I know that this is pretty far out as a hypothetical, but the result, based on the genetic similarities between varieties of hominids which may have existed over the last several hundreds of thousands of years (and much earlier), might have led to occasional offspring that are effectively “hybrids.” As I understand, since mitochondrial DNA from a father’s sperm is destroyed at the time it fertilizes the female egg, there is really no way to trace forced copulation amidst, for instance, two species like Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons (in which case we might presume the male members of the Neanderthal group had been initiating these liaisons). Subsequent DNA studies about whether Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons may have interbred in this way are mixed, and hardly favorable, though a minority of cases suggest that interbreeding between the species in the way I’ve outlined above (and between two species with 99.5% genetic similarity) could have possibly occurred, but evidence suggests perhaps only a little more than 100 times over the course of thousands of years. Again, the problem with tracing the father’s mtDNA is partly the issue, but posed as a hypothetical scenario, it again also points to the likelihood of hybridization on count of forced copulation.
Return again to these old Native legends of “old Sasquatch men kidnapping Indian women,” and we have a very similar narrative that begins to emerge… if the stories are to be taken literally, which does, again, require some suspension of disbelief. But it is also representative of a theme which, in likelihood, has existed among hominid species for generations spanning thousands of years, and represents an integral component to understanding human evolution, and perhaps the evolution of other creatures that may have existed… or which may even still exist.
