According to a new study, there were gigantic megafloods on Mars about 4 billion years ago. NASA’s Curiosity Rover found that some geological features on the Red Planet were formed by wind and water. More specifically, the Gale Crater had once been bombarded with huge amounts of water.

Since there were megafloods on Mars billions of years ago, that could potentially mean that the planet was once habitable with the real possibility of life once existing there.

As for what caused the exceptionally high amounts of water, the new study claimed that it happened when an asteroid impacted the planet. The impact would have created high levels of heat which would have caused the ice to melt in addition to releasing methane and carbon dioxide that were hidden in the ice. The water vapor clouds would have dumped large amounts of rain onto Mars which would have been part of a short period of time when the planet had warmer and wetter conditions.

A combination of the rain as well as the water that was flowing down from Mount Sharp (the central peak inside of the crater) would have created major flash flooding in the Gale Crater. This raises the possibility that perhaps there was microbial life that once existed in the crater.

In fact, researchers from Jackson State University, Cornell, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Hawaii found sediment structures inside of the crater as well as 10 meter tall (32.8 feet) symmetrical gravel ridges that looked like “antidunes” that suggested megaflooding. They were able to calculate the distance between the crest on the ridges and found that they would have been formed by flood waters that were at least 24 meters in depth (78.7 feet) and moved up to 10 meters (32.8 feet) each second.

Alberto G. Fairén, who is an astrobiologist and a co-author of the study, explained this further, “Early Mars was an extremely active planet from a geological point of view. The planet had the conditions needed to support the presence of liquid water on the surface—and on Earth, where there’s water, there’s life,” adding, “So early Mars was a habitable planet. Was it inhabited? That’s a question that the next rover Perseverance will help to answer.”

The Perseverance rover was launched in July of this year and is scheduled to land on Mars in February of 2021. It will search for signs of ancient life on the planet in addition to collecting soil and rock samples that it will bring back to Earth for scientists to study.

Their research was published in the journal Scientific Reports where it can be read in full.

In other related news, major dust storms may have removed most of the water from Mars. Strong summer dust storms on the Red Planet could have thrown water high up into the atmosphere which would have destroyed the molecules and let the hydrogen travel into space. This may have had a significant impact on how Mars would have gone from a planet full of water to the dry, dusty world that it is today. The study was published in the journal Science where it can be read in full.

Aliens in ancient Egypt helping build the pyramids? Believable. Aliens in pre-Columbian Central America inspiring drawings of spaceships? Sure. Aliens in ancient Bulgaria? Sorry, we’re gonna need some proof. Well, this might be it. An archaeologist digging in the settlement mound of the oldest town in Bulgaria discovered a small artifact carved with what looks suspiciously like a classic Grey alien face with large almond eyes and an oversized head. If it’s real, why Bulgaria?

The clay piece (see pictures here) was found by a team led by Professor Vasily Nikolov excavating what was once the town of Provadia Solnitsata (Salinas de Provadia) near the present-day town of Provadia in northeastern Bulgaria. The lines carved into the triangular clay artifact make it look like an alien face – a miniature version of a large mask – and has two holes drilled in the upper corners, suggesting it was worn as a necklace. Adding to the mask-like design is the fact that the flip side is indented.

What are you implying?

“[The face] has shaped eyebrows, a stylized nose, and elliptical eyes. The artifact was most probably a status symbol hanging on the chest of the person worthy of it. It is interesting that the artifact does have even a hint of a mouth. That is certainly not accidental and bears its own symbolism. The emphasis is on the eyes – their shape, their size as well as the vertical polished bands beneath them are saying a lot more than the missing mouth.”

They’re not saying “it’s aliens” to Archeology in Bulgaria, but it definitely looks like one. Why would aliens be visiting of Provadia Solnitsata in the 5th millennium BCE at the end of the Chalcolithic (Copper) Age just prior to the start of the Bronze Age? One clue might be that Solnitsata was the site of a massive salt mining operation at a time when today’s most common spice was a precious commodity. Salt was so valued back then that Solnitsata, which supplied salt across the Balkans, was walled to protect its residents and the mining operation from invaders and early pretzel makers. Could salt be a reason why aliens might have visited Provadia Solnitsata, prompting someone to capture their likeness on a stone necklace?

It turns out that a number of people claiming to have been abducted by aliens report having a craving for salt upon their return. This could be due to a loss of bodily fluids voluntarily or by force. Are aliens taking salt-filled fluids for examination or consumption? The carved artifact from Provadia Solnitsata could be the missing link to proving this theory.

This prehistoric society specialized in the production of salt which was exported to distant markets. The salt production boosted trade, and salt itself was probably used as a currency at first, before the arrival of gold.

Or … it could be the carving of an owl, a praying mantis or some other animal. Professor Nikolov thinks it’s a mixture of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic features, and is “categorically connected with the male beginning” but he doesn’t elaborate. The professor also found another alien-like artifact with a triangular face in southeast Bulgaria he calls “the goddess with hair in a bun.” And a prehistoric settlement near Telish in northwest Bulgaria has yielded artifacts resembling “space rockets” and more goddesses with triangular faces. Evidence or art? Other pieces of jewelry were discovered at Provadia Solnitsata, lending credence to the fact that this was once a town made rich by salt. However, all good things come to an end – climate change dried up the sources of salt and the resulting economic recession caused infighting amongst the citizens. Before they could switch to another line of work, an earthquake destroyed the city and covered it with the soil that is the mound today.

Does the clay face represent aliens, an animal, a person, a goddess or something else? Until more are found, the needle rests on ‘interesting but uncertain’.

Now and again I get asked to take part in regional radio shows back in the U.K. Usually, it’s late-night radio. In the case of a show a few nights back, the host claimed that it was “the fault of people like you” (meaning me, of course) for creating tales of the likes of black helicopters, chemtrails, M.I.B., government assassinations and so on. When we got to the matter of those aforementioned black helicopters, I told the host that it was ironic he should castigate me for promoting matters relative to those mysterious helicopters when much of the original publicity came from the FBI and the New Mexico police. The host huffed and puffed and basically accused me of lying – and fell back on his claim that it’s all down to people like me. So, I recommended that he check out the FBI’s website, The Vault, and have a look at their file titled “Animal Mutilation.” The file is a fairly lengthy one (it’s in three-figures) and contain significant material on black helicopters.

All of the following material was put together by U.S. agencies way back in the early-to-mid 1970s onward. And not by cattle mutilation researchers. As I’ll now demonstrate. By the way, all of the italics below are mine. In August 1975, Senator Floyd K. Haskell, of Colorado, made his voice known to the FBI, on the growing cattle mutilation controversy: “In Colorado’s Morgan County area there has [sic] also been reports that a helicopter was used by those who mutilated the carcasses of the cattle, and several persons have reported being chased by a similar helicopter.” One particular FBI document makes a distinct connection between the mutilations and mysterious, black helicopters. Dated February 2, 1979, it notes:

“For the past seven or eight years mysterious cattle mutilations have been occurring throughout the United State of New Mexico. Officer Gabe Valdez, New Mexico State Police, has been handling investigations of these mutilations within New Mexico. Information furnished to this office by Officer Valdez indicates that the animals are being shot with some type of paralyzing drug and the blood is being drawn from the animal after an injection of an anti-coagulant. It appears that in some instances the cattle’s legs have been broken and helicopters without any identifying numbers have reportedly been seen in the vicinity of the mutilations. Officer Valdez theorizes that clamps are being placed on the cow’s legs and they are being lifted by helicopter to some remote area where the mutilations are taking place and then the animal is returned to its original pasture.”

Much of the work was undertaken by Police Officer Gabe Valdez of Espanola, New Mexico. The FBI said: “Officer Valdez theorizes that clamps are being placed on the cow’s legs and they are being lifted by helicopter to some remote area where the mutilations are taking place and then the animal is returned to its original pasture. The mutilations primarily consist of removal of the tongue, the lymph gland, lower lip and the sexual organs of the animal.” The FBI continued: “Officer Gabe Valdez is very adamant in his opinion that these mutilations are the work of the U. S. Government and that it is some clandestine operation either by the CIA or the Department of Energy and in all probability is connected with some type of research into biological warfare. His main reason for these beliefs is that he feels that he was given the ‘run around’ by Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory and they are attempting to cover up this situation.”

There was also this from the FBI: “Tom Adams of Paris, Texas, who has been independently examining mutilations for six years, said his investigation has shown that helicopters are almost always observed in the area of the mutilations. He said that the helicopters do not have identifying markings and they fly at abnormal, unsafe, or illegal altitudes.” What all of this demonstrates is that from the mid-to-late 1970s, a great deal of the cattle mutilation data surfaced from well-respected people in the world of law-enforcement and from a respected senator. And, so, having a radio host stupidly saying it’s all down to people like me is…well…stupid!

Before the night of December 6, 1978, Pier Zanfretta was just a normal, unremarkable guy living out in the rural village of Torriglia, Italy, where he worked as an unassuming private security guard. Up until that evening there had never been anything particularly remarkable about him, and he likely would have been forgotten by history if it weren’t for a sequence of strange events that would unfold. And so begins a weird odyssey concerning UFOs, high strangeness, and lizard humanoids from outer space.

On this evening, Zanfretta was in his car on his usual night patrol, and as he peered into the gloom ahead trying to navigate the frigid icy roads, he noticed what appeared to be four mysterious lights emanating from a nearby home. At this very moment his car apparently sputtered and died, but he did not connect this to the lights he was seeing just yet. Indeed, he assumed the lights he was seeing to be flashlights from burglars trespassing on the property of the home, which he recognized as belonging to the wealthy doctor Ettore Righi. He estimated that there were four trespassers, and so when he left his vehicle to investigate, he did so with his weapon drawn and at the ready. He stealthily made his way onto the property, creeping around to the back were the light seemed to be coming from, and he had no idea that as he peaked around a corner his life was about to be changed forever.

There in the backyard of the estate there sat a glowing red, oval object with a diameter of over 33 feet, which was enough for him to start backing away and call it in to his supervisor. As he backpedaled out of there he claims that he had then turned around to be confronted with the astonishing sight of an immensely large being standing at around 10 feet in height looming over him, which he said was “An enormous green, ugly and frightful creature, with undulating skin… as though he were very fat or dressed in a loose, gray tunic.” Over its face it wore a mechanical mouthpiece of some sort, the creature’s skin was mottled and covered with scales like a reptile, its hands and feet bore wicked talons, and spikes protruded from its head, and it soon became apparent that there were several more of the same entities standing not far away. He would say “They are green, with triangular yellow eyes, with big thorns, they have green flesh and their skin is full of wrinkles as if they were old. Their mouths look like they’re made of iron, they have red veins on their heads, pointed ears and arms with fingernails.” In fact, they were so grotesque, savage, and frightening in appearance that Zanfretta started to run away, the reptilian creatures hitting him with some sort of “heat beam” as he did.

He would later be found unconscious after other guards responded to his screaming, panicked calls for help over the radio, and even after waking he was in an obvious daze and state of shock, even dangerously waving around his gun as if he were going to shoot them. Oddly, his clothes were found to be almost hot to the touch, despite the fact that he had been lying out there for who knew how long on the frozen ground. As soon as Zanfretta explained what had happened to him the police supposedly contacted the Italian military police, the Carabinieri, who arrived on the scene for a full investigation. They would apparently find some amount of physical evidence left behind from the encounter, such as large, anomalous footprints, scorched trees, and strange deep imprints shaped like horseshoes in the earth where the supposed UFO had rested. It was also uncovered that many other residents in the area had seen unusual aerial phenomena at around the same time that Zanfretta had had his bizarre encounter. Strangely enough, the gun that Zanfretta used was found to have been fired five times. Before long, word was out on the whole thing, and it was being splashed all over the news and on TV programs across Italy. It was all intriguing enough that a reporter by the name of Rino Di Stefano, with the newspaper Il Corriere Mercantile took it upon himself to look more deeply into what was at the time being treated as a sort of tabloid oddity.

Stefano would find Zanfretta to be very sincere in his tale, and would deem him to at least truly believe what he was saying. So convinced was Stefano that there was perhaps something to all of this that he had Zanfretta undergo hypnotic regression to try and uncover any lost memories from the missing time, which would unearth many new details. Under hypnosis, Zanfetta claimed that he had actually been taken aboard the reptilian aliens’ ship, where he had been examined and interrogated using some sort of translator device. The aliens had supposedly told him that they were from the planet “Teetonia,” located in the “Third Galaxy,” and that they were preparing to visit Earth in greater numbers. Making things even more bizarre is that this would apparently not be the last brush Zanfretta would have with these enigmatic beings.

On December 26, 1978, Zanfretta was driving on patrol when his car seemed to stop responding to him, steering itself and acting of its own accord, as if under some sort on intelligent control. The vehicle proceeded to go careening towards a remote area in the countryside, whereupon it suddenly stopped by itself and was bathed in a blindingly bright light. The aliens would then apparently take him aboard their ship again and examine him, as well as fit him with some sort of uncomfortable communications helmet, and this time one of the beings took his gun and fired it into one of the craft’s walls, seemingly out of curiosity. They also offered to take him with them, but he refused, so they let him go. However, they allegedly then abducted him yet again in July of the next year, on this occasion taking him to some sort of mothership in space, where they showed him a repulsive, frog-like alien in suspended animation that they claimed was of an enemy species. There were also a bird-like creature and a being like a caveman similarly ensconced within tubes. They also apparently gave him a transparent sphere containing a golden tetrahedron that would rotate in suspension, its purpose unknown. Zanfretta would later claim that he had hidden this sphere away in a safe place, and has always refused to show it to anyone, leaving its existence questionable.

Zanfretta would eventually admit to having been abducted no fewer than 11 times from between the years of 1978 and 1981, and on one occasion several security personnel would also see the UFO, even firing at it to no effect. Some of these encounters were truly strange, including one in which he stopped at a service station and was met by a being with an egg-shaped head wearing a checkered with a chest plate made of metal. Zanfretta has since appeared in numerous interviews and TV shows in Italy, he insists it is all true, and his case has become perhaps one of the more well-known and strangest alien encounter stories Italy has ever seen. What is going on here and is any of it true or not? It is certainly one of the more bizarre alien reports out there, and it will probably always remain just another very weird report that we will never have answers for.

Today, I come to the final article of my trio concerning the controversy of so-called “UFO Disclosure.” Part-1 was focused on the fact that when it comes to disclosure (or, rather, stalled disclosure) we’ve seen it all before. And nothing ever happened. So, why should it happen now? The second part of this series was on how and why a suspicious UFO research community might actually not accept disclosure (if it comes, of course) as the real deal. Now, to the last segment. This one is on the scenario of a manipulative, dangerous disclosure in our midst. In other words, I’m talking about something along the lines of disclosure secretly driven by a faked “alien invasion.” A situation designed to keep all of us under the grips of powerful manipulators. Even to have us watched to crazy degrees, and maybe even placed under never-ending curfews and 24/7 surveillance. Could such a thing happen in the real world? I honestly don’t know. I should stress, however, there’s no doubt at all that UFO-themed fabrications could very easily be put into place – and could cause huge numbers of people to believe we’re under attack and that we need to be “protected.” How do I know that such UFO fabrications could carefully and smoothly be put into place and make us think that deadly aliens are among us? Easy: the technology has already been used.

What if that explanation, if revealed, proved to be even more controversial than the theory that aliens arrived from a faraway world? The ramifications for the field of Ufology would be immense. In his new, sensational book, Nick Redfern reveals that one of the most famous UFO cases of all time was really a series of top secret experiments using holograms, mind-control programs, deception, disinformation, conspiracies and cover-ups. The shocking truth of a forty-year-old mystery is now revealed.”

If the incidents in Rendlesham Forest in December 1980 really were the secret, manipulative work of government and military agencies, then all of us should strive to find the answers and expose the shocking affairs for what they were – which is what I’m doing. Like it or not, there is good evidence that Rendlesham – as a highly-classified experiment – was not alone. Indeed, it’s clear that some of the prime UFO events of the last sixty or so years were carefully staged. I’m talking about the Antonio Villas Boas event of 1957, the 1961 Betty and Barney Hill case, the Hickson-Parker incident of 1973, and the Bennewitz story of the late 1970s/early 1980s. Ufology has been duped – and on a massive scale. Check out all of the links in this particular paragraph and it becomes obvious that someone has been faking UFO incidents for a long time. And to see how easy it is for their ruses to work on us, the public. Clearly, this isn’t being done by certain agencies just for the fun of it. Such a thing would be totally ridiculous. In light of all the above, it’s entirely feasible that a well-guarded organization is carefully and constantly finding ways to, one day, fake an alien invasion – as a way to keep us in shackles for our “own good.” There has to be an agenda behind all of this. And, whatever that agenda might be, I don’t see anything positive about it. At least, not for us.
