Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Washington.

Sightings of UFOs were also reported in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ireland, Mexico, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research. I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

Special Reports

Argentina Air Force UFO Commission Includes Ufologists

Antonio Huneeus writes, "Besides the creation of a new air force UFO commission, which is important news by itself, I think the most relevant point here is that the Argentinean Air Force requested the assistance of the local UFO community and appointed five prominent ufologists as external members of the commission. So in Argentina we have a new situation where the government and the ufologists are working together to solve a mystery instead of fighting each other. There has been some cooperation in the past in other South American countries like Chile and Peru or Belgium in the 90s when the Belgian Air Force cooperated with SOBEPS, but this sets a new standard which hopefully will be followed eventually elsewhere.. Ituzaing -- Argentina is reporting a new wave of cases detected over Ituzaing that began last March. In conversation with Expedientes Secretos , Luis Burgos stated two and a half months have elapsed since the first sightings that merit "an explanation or at least information on the cases on the part of the organization constituted by elements of the Argentinean Air Force.

The official silence noted by Luis Burgos has given rise to speculation that the unidentified flying objects in Western Greater Buenos Aires "are triangular super-secret aircraft whose design and operation Burgos attributes to the United States and Israel. Note: I would be happy to work with the US Government to research UFOs

Moon Hangars

Dr. Richard Buchli writes, "There are three moon openings in an area 1400 feet wide. At this angle they look like underground hangers. They each seem to have a shoot like path leading out. The openings are over 300 feet tall so there would be enough room to launch space ships.

Note: Former US Government Remote Viewers claim to have observed mining operations of a dark mineral on the Moon.

Mars Structures

Norm Bryden writes, "The government should release the data for the existence of intelligent life in the universe. The secrecy prevents our planet from progressing to a clean-energy environment and gaining the knowledge to be civilized. You've provided a haven for corruption and look what you've done to the environment. You did this because you know about some of the civilizations beyond Earth and you saw how backward you may be.

Mars Bio-Station Update -- David Martines noticed a mysterious rectangular structure on Mar's surface while trolling Google Mars, a new map program created from compiled satellite images of the planet. He claims to have identified a human (or alien) base on Mars.

"This is a video of something I discovered on Google Mars quite by accident," said Martines, the armchair astronaut, in a now-viral YouTube video. "I call it Bio Station Alpha, because I'm just assuming that something lives in it or has lived in it."(click Link)

He zooms in the surface anomaly — a long, pixilated, white object — and lists the coordinates as 49'19.73"N 29 33'06.53.

Crop Circle Cyber Attack

1. BLT Research Team president Nancy Talbott and Dutch medium Robbert van den Broeke watched as three brilliant tubes of light shone into a field of string beans behind the farm house. The tubes light left a crop circle only 95 feet away from them. A recently edited video clip of the incident and the full report can be seen here:

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, V.M.J. Henrique's (sunspot), NASA Apollo 17

Fahrusha writes, "Now we are in the midst of a solar awakening waxing toward a solar maximum in around the year 2013.

However, today the solar physics division of the American Astronomical Society announced that the solar maximum following the one in 2013 is probably not going to be very active if it happens at all. It seems the Sun is going through a period of dormancy. If this turns out to be true, there is likely to be colder weather on Earth. This may act to combat the man-made global warming we have caused with our petrochemical excesses.

I am not a particularly religious person but I consider myself to be very spiritual. In the words of Robert Monroe, I certainly have experienced that, "I am more than my physical body. I can't help thinking that it is possible that a power greater than me has had a hand in this and is saving humanity and the other life on this planet from the excesses of mankind. I do not know the identity of this power, if it is a deity or an advanced alien civilization one hundred thousand years ahead of our own that somehow has a vested interest in our survival. Maybe I am simply a romantic to consider such a notion but I have experienced firsthand that there are other beings in our midst that are intangible to most of us in our 4D world.

Even if that turns out to be the case, long solar minimums are not without their downsides. Consider if you will the Maunder Minimum spanning from 1645 to 1715 which ushered in a mini-ice age. If the weather becomes sufficiently colder it will impact agricultural output and we all know what substantially less food would mean in a world already struggling with famine and overpopulation.

Centaurus A (NGC 5128) is a Prominent Galaxy in the Constellation of Centaurus.

NGC 5128. NASA and the European Space Agency released today a stunning image of NGC 5128. It shows dark clouds of dust and gas flecked by pink star-forming nebulae, all imaged in visible, ultraviolet, and near-infrared light.

According to NASA, it looks like "looming rain clouds on a stormy day". But these clouds are thousands of light years across.

Note: A couple billion planets in the galaxy.

China Wants To Construct a 50 Square Mile City South of Boise, Idaho

Thanks to the trillions of dollars that the Chinese have made flooding our shores with cheap products, China is now in a position of tremendous economic power and is buying up assets worldwide.

They have decided to buy up pieces of the U S and set up "special economic zones in many states. Just south of Boise, and the Idaho government is eager to give land to the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach). They plan to construct a "technology zone" south of Boise Airport which would ultimately be up to 50 square miles in size. It would include manufacturing facilities, warehouses, retail centers and large numbers of homes for Chinese workers. If the Chinese have their way, we will soon be seeing these "special economic zones" pop up all over the United States.

According to Dr. Jerome Corsi, the U.S. government has already set up 257 "foreign trade zones" across America. In 2010, China had a "current account balance" of over 272 billion dollars, which was the largest in the world. In 2010, the United States had a "current account balance" of negative 561 billion dollars to put us in last place in the entire world.

Sightings of UFOs in United States

Arkansas Pilots Spot Triangle

Little Rock -- At 10:28 PM, June 15, 2011, I received a text from a reliable source that there were multiple sightings of UFO's being reported by pilots flying over Arkansas and Missouri.
Apparently, commercial pilots were picking up radar returns where aircraft were not supposed to be, but ATC radar wasn't picking them up. Several pilots were getting visuals of the crafts as well.

An AWAC was in the area and they were able to get radar returns. The multiple UFO's were flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet. Pilots were reporting, "The UFO's were able to hover and reverse heading without turning the crafts. I went outside to see if there was anything in my line of sight. There was an aircraft approaching from the west moving to the ENE. There were three amber lights, one on each point of the triangular aircraft with a solid red light on the belly of the craft. This craft was out of my line of sight after three minutes.

A few minutes later on the eastern sky there were two aircrafts moving to the south...while I was watching one of them "disappeared", which I am guessing it went lights out. It appeared shortly thereafter either closer to me or much higher in altitude. It hovered and reversed heading to the north, just as being reported by pilots. Then they were out of my line of sight...as clouds moved in.

I was excited to see the aircraft which I believe are the Boeing TR-3B, from their Phantom Works project. I was able to catch a few photos with my digital camera. Thanks to MUFON Thanks to MUFON CMS. Note : Radar operators are instructed not to acknowledge UFOs.

California Triangle

East Los Angeles -- I saw weird orange lights in the sky that slowly disappeared on June 12, 2011. The witness states, "This is the real photo that I took on my I phone at 9:30 PM. My brother had just pulled in the drive way and I realized there was eight orange glowing lights in the sky. He told me to look as they faded away one by one.

Note: It appears that this photo has been edited. It is not known if it is a real photo or a graphic recreation on a photo background. Questions have been posed to the witness. These is a possibility the lights could be Chinese Lanterns but there is no direct evidence. SAN DIEGO -- On June 17, 2011, Took picture of airplane over downtown San Diego and noticed 2 disks in photo.

Elk Grove -- I saw a black silent bat-ray shaped object in daylight hours on June3, 2011. At 6:10 PM, I stepped outside to smoke and saw an object moving in circles at first then suddenly flew west, and then came to a complete stop. It then changed direction and sped back East and came to another complete stop. It hovered there this time at a lower altitude and made no sound. I could clearly make its shape to be round in the front with two arcs on the rear of the craft which was black in color.

It hovered for about thirty seconds before taking off west at high speed toward gaining altitude before disappearing behind clouds. Colorado Orb

Englewood -- I was sitting outside on my patio on November 4, 2010, when I saw two bright objects flying somewhat fast and slow down. I ran to grab my camera because I noticed these things flying in an odd formation and leaving a contrail, but not some sort of chemtrail. I never really looked at the film until now. You can clearly see an orb materialize in the middle of the screen at 00:00:04 and start to spiral vertically at 00:00:05. A second orb is seen on the left side of the screen moving at a linear path to the right of the screen. At 00:00:06 an orb vanishes before it leaves the right of the screen. A few milliseconds later the vertical one disappears at 00:00:07 and camera starts to blur out and the bright one on the bottom vanishes? I get images everyday now in IR mode and Sony says it's not possible on that camera Sony DSC-W370. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Gwinnett Co -- I was coming home after work, headed down Hightower Trail into Centerville and noticed two stars and realized it was awfully early to start seeing stars. We had thunderstorms that evening and the front was just pushing through so the sky was beginning to clear. The "stars" were in or in front of the thunder clouds. I noticed there were actually four "stars" forming a gentle arc. I quickly picked up my camera and snapped a picture of the objects. The lights were white stationary points of light, exactly what a star in the night sky looks like. My camera info shows I snapped the picture about 8:18 pm but my clock in the car read 7:45 PM. I watched the objects for about five minutes and by the time I reached the top of the next hill, the objects were gone. In that time, the "stars" never moved or blinked, not did they change position at all. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Red Round Light

Davie -- On June 16, 2011, a sighting lasted for over two hours between 6:30 PM to 11 PM. The objects looked like parachutes, but they were not. They were shaped like a pretzel. You could see the sky during the entire time. This was not a hot air balloon. There were no people on it or in it. The objects just kept flying from the east towards us in the west and then north. They just kept coming and coming like 3 or 4 at a time.

The camera is a Canon Powershot sd1200is digital ELPH. The weirdest thing is that the objects kept coming even after dark and they didn't have lights but they were white so you could still see them flying thru the clouds. I saw them still coming until about 11 PM

Note: The photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Digital Camera. This camera has a maximum resolution of 10 million pixels. (The photos were taken with camera setting of a lower resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.) I have no explanation for these objects. Anyone with information about these objects or may have seen them is urged to file a report.

Sarasota -- I saw a UFO in the sky over Sarasota, Florida. At 10 PM June 12, 2011, while taking garbage to the street I looked up and saw a red round light. At first I thought it was a helicopter with laser on it. I watched for 5 minute. It moved east, then stood still and then moved north. Georgia Stars

Centerville -- On June16, 2011, I was coming home after work in thunderstorms headed down Hightower and noticed two "stars" and I realized it was awfully early to start seeing stars. Four "stars" were in or in front of the clouds forming a gentle arc. I quickly picked up my camera and snapped a picture of the objects. Hawaii Lights

Moloaa , Kauai -- On June 15, 2011, the witness called and reported his sighting the morning after it occurred. He and his family saw orange red lights moving from a northeasterly direction from the ocean at 9 PM. The lights persisted for several minutes. No sound was heard. Illinois Orange Light Solid Red Lights All Around

Chebanse -- I took the dog out she was overly restless and barking on June 8, 2011. I looked up facing the south already and seen the same object I viewed on May 20th. It was just hovering above the graveyard at the end of our street. I came in the house for camera and a witness. We stood there and watched it a few minutes and it took off to the southeast very slow moving. The white background lighted the object but I couldn't tell the shape of it. It had solid red lights all around it as it picked up altitude. I chalked it up to another UFO sighting out here in the country. Thanks to MUFON CMS

CHICAGO -- I was looking at the sky on June 17, 2011, about 4 am, since I have seen many lights move across the sky I wanted to observe more. Standing in front of my house I was looking in the SW direction when I saw a ball of light moving across the sky at a high rate of speed I immediately moved to see where it was going since it was moving so fast NE as it moved across the sky it seemed to stop move in reverse the move forward again leaving a stream of white light and then disappearing immediately after about 30 seconds an airplane comes into view followed by two more they were in a triangular formation moving e to w the airplanes did not make any noticeable engine noise. CHICAGO -- I was walking north on Clark Street with four of my friends at about 2 am after leaving a bar when I noticed a bright orange light traveling across the sky on June 18, 2011. It was flying low and was extremely fast and larger than anything I've seen before. We knew immediately it wasn't a plane because we could see two other planes flying in the sky and they were much higher and farther away in the sky. The planes were more yellow or white and were moving much slower relative to the orange light. It wasn't a helicopter or plane and was literally a round very bright orange light moving forward very fast. One of my friends even described it as looking like a planet moving fast across the sky. We were watching for about 45 seconds as it flew very rapidly across the sky in a straight line, then the orange light dimmed, and completely disappeared. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Storm UFO and Triangle

LINCROFT -- Sean O'Neal takes three photos of probable disc moving near lightning storm. Thanks to Sean O'Neal.

Raritan River -- We were driving down the NJ Turnpike and we were between exits 9 and 10. It was exactly 10 Pm at night because I checked. My Mom, who was driving, told me to look ahead at the bright "moon". Turns out it wasn't a moon but a very weird object in the sky. At first we thought it was a blimp that was flying but after we kept looking, it looked very weird. To both of us it seemed as if it were triangular or pyramid like in appearance. Also of importance was a blinking red light it had on the bottom. It would blink about every six seconds. The craft was moving slowly to the right. After about two minutes, we lost sight of it but thirty seconds later, we saw it again by the Raritan River. I took a video while this was happening. It seemed to turning away from the turnpike and we eventually passed it and couldn't see it anymore. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New York Father and Daughter Abduction Experience

KINGS PARK -- In the mid-1970's I was riding my mother-in-law's bike and a very large disc shaped, silvery space ship hovered over me. I started riding around noon and suddenly five or six hours just vanished. It was getting dark...but I hadn't gone anywhere! But my sighting report is not so much about seeing this UFO...it is about my many encounters with extraterrestrial beings, mostly in my home. All together, there have been nine encounters and in the most memorable my daughter and I were coming home from a long day of work and school. She went directly to take her shower to get to bed quickly. I gathered up her things and walking to the living room suddenly three not human beings appeared before me. I was stunned and observed each was a different size and shape, but all had medium grey colored skin, longish arms, and fewer fingers than humans, a large head and prominent eyes. The first eye to the left was larger than the others...

He looked directly at me, as I was a foot in from of him and could see him well. The one standing next to him was a bit smaller and the third was smaller yet, standing in the doorway of the bedroom. The larger one said telepathically to me: "We're sorry you saw us; we're leaving now"...The whole room became bathed in a glow of sparkly substance...they literally went up through the ceiling and disappeared. All the time they were with me I sensed they were benevolent...almost kind. It was an amazing experience I could never, ever forget. I told my daughter immediately as she wrapped her towel around her...I was concerned that she was OK. We stayed up a long while, hugging and wondering who they were....The next morning as we were in the kitchen, she asked me "What are those red dots on your arm, Mama?" I looked and saw them in a circle. I then checked to see if she had them and she did. I realized they had come to see her too! I have told a few select friends, and family. Since that night both my daughter and I have had further encounters with them. I am glad to report they never caused us any physical pain and every time seemed to express a concern for our well-being. I am more curious now than afraid.

NOTE: The tall being seemed to have something on his head and all three had something high around the top of their torso. But I could clearly see their flesh was like a grey wrinkled dolphin. Their nose was just two holes and their mouths were all just slits...no lips. The third individual in the bedroom doorway was most unique in his facial structure from the other two...a very oversized head and very, very long fingers. NOTE: The above image is a rendering. Ohio Triangle

My friend and I were standing outside my apartment smoking when I saw an object out of the corner of my eye June 19, 2011. At first I just assumed it was a plane because we have military and civilian aircraft fly over allot. We both looked up at the same time and saw a low flying object that appeared to be a distinct triangle shape. It had three bright lights on each corner of the triangle, as well as a blinking red light in the middle of the triangle. As it went over us and into the distance, I could see more lights straight across the back of the object which confirmed to me the triangle shape I was seeing. The object did not make allot of noise and its approach was almost completely silent. After about 20-25 seconds after we first saw the object, it vanished in an instant. Amazingly enough, taking a picture was the last thing on my mind. I was so drawn in and amazed at what we were seeing. I have never seen anything like it before. Pennsylvania Orb Photo

Northeast Philadelphia Airport -- On June 17, 2011, around 10 PM, my friend and I were walking on the street. I looked up and noticed an orange-red object in the skies. I promptly took a picture with my phone. The subject was visible for about 20 seconds or so and then suddenly moved away at very high speed.

Tennessee Stars

As I was taking pictures of the stars as reported on June 19, 2011, as I do many times on clear nights, I came across some UFOs. I cannot identify the objects. They were not planes or rain drops, dew, or bugs. I have asked questions as to what they may be and no one can answer the question. So they are UFOs I did not see the objects until I placed them on the computer to look at. The Camera that took these was a Canon PowerShot SX30IS at X145. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Washington Three Orange Lights

Kennewick -- Several of us at a local sports bar on New Year's Eve were outside smoking at 10 PM, and looked up to see three orange lights in the sky off in the distance on December 31, 2010.

Worldwide Sightings of UFOs

Australia Giant UFO

Adelaide -- William Henderson writes, "I had a sighting, which lasted quite awhile on an especially clear nigh while talking to a friend outside his house about 3 am, in 1981, when we looked up to see a gigantic aircraft/ufo at a height of about 40,000 feet. I was at the time in training as a professional pilot, and we were trained to gauge such things. My friend and I watched this craft for about 15 minutes. We could only see the lights of the craft arranged in a triangle, or rather an arrowhead or boomerang shape. The lights were revolving as the craft moved suggesting that it was rotating.

This was a massive craft was 800 to 1000 feet across and slowly moved across the sky following deliberate vectors that may have drawn a definite pattern. It moved in a line then changed direction to instantly move along another line. There was no arc of turn that a man made aircraft would make, it was an unnatural abrupt change in direction, or vectoring. After it had traced these vectors across an area of sky at least a mile square, it then dropped lower, quite rapidly, to about 20,000 feet. It then retraced the exact pattern, but in almost lightening speed!

The abrupt, instant changes in direction were the same but at such a speed that I have never seen before. The G forces on the craft would have turned a human to mush. Even more than this, it moved at such a speed, at almost instant acceleration. There is nothing man has made then or since that can make those maneuvers, in either manned or unmanned aircraft. Canada Circular Orange Ball

St. Albert, Alberta -- I saw what appeared to be a big water bubble in the sky. It descended for about 20 seconds, disappeared for about 5 seconds and then reappeared for another 5 seconds on February 24, 2011, at 3:30 AM. Then it was gone. I have attached a sketch of what it looked like.

Winnipeg MANiTOBA -- I was bike riding late at night on June 18, 2011, and saw an orange glow in the sky. I could see a circular orange ball the size of a big star. It moved slowly and straight like a satellite but it was moving a bit quicker than a satellite usually does. It glided very smoothly through the sky dimming out occasionally then the light just went out. I was a little spooked when I saw this object, I thought it could be a satellite but I have never seen one with that vivid of an orange color; especially going over our small town. Javier Ortega writes, "The Puyehue Volcano in Chile is an active one. During a June 5th, 2011, the volcano began to send massive plumes of smoke up into the atmosphere as thunderous lava spat out. During the awesome display, someone managed to capture what they believe to be a UFO near the erupting volcano.

The website ElTiempo.com has the photos and link to a YouTube video that shows the location and close up photo of the strange object seen by many hovering about as the thick plume grows.

Although the photograph is interesting to say the least, like many UFO photos, this one too, is inconclusive. According to ElTiempo.com, many locals did see strange light and objects around the volcano as it began to erupt. Chile has had a lot of UFO sighting in the past few years, so no doubt that this image is something strange. Could it be something from out of this planet?

Ireland White Sphere

DUBLIN -- I was in my back garden having a cigarette on June 15, 2011, and I looked at one star and immediately noticed a very bright white orb/sphere coming directly over my garden and then slowly go away into the distance. It was flying very low, at 1000 feet and was silent and very bright and very clear to see. I have a strong set of binoculars and viewed it through them and could only make out a white sphere moving at a steady rate of speed. It looked unbelievable, and I just don't know what the hell it was. This was an incredible sighting the closest and most clear. I just can't believe what I saw. Flynn B

Mexico Flying Machine

Mexico City -- On June 19, 2011, our good friend shares this extraordinary photograph of a UFO can be seen close to a commercial aircraft. According to data provided this sighting was recorded at 5 PM north of Mexico City, the Towers of Satellite. The UFO was moving against the wind, this would preclude that it were a balloon, it is also important to note that has extensive experience in observing the sky and therefore knows this is a known flying machine. This UFO flew toward the Toluca Airport, thus losing sight of, but not before achieving a sequence of five photographs of the unknown object perfectly clear. The aviation technician could identify the aircraft we see in the image, which is an Embraer Aircraft. Turkey Cylinder

IZMIR -- After my experiences I decided to tape record my observations. I got my camera for the June 15, 2011 eclipse with an inner expectation that would see an UFO.
Walking at the sea-side for my turn back home and had the feeling just look up.

My first notice was it was a UFO and I observed the light that acts in the UFO category. The light was like Fluorescent, no signal lamps, very slowly moving like skiing/sliding in the sky, no voice approximately over at my top. I just focused to record the video good; I feel very happiness which mixed some exited. It disappeared slowly go out of my visual area.

London -- Harry St Louis was on his way home in the Greenway on the night of June 8 when he saw the large, bright light. At first he thought it was a firework but quickly discounted the theory as it continued to weave across the sky.

Harry, 19, who lives in Memorial Avenue, Stratford, then recorded the object's movements on his phone and put the resulting video on YouTube, where unsurprisingly, it has scored thousands of hits, including one from the occupant of a Stratford flat who also witnessed the sight.

He told the Recorder: "It was silent but considering it was so far away it was quite big. I must have been watching it for 30-40 seconds then I got my phone and recorded it for about 26 seconds. Then the flame disappeared and there were just these two dots with one coming in from the right hand side and then they went off at about 45 degrees.

BEDFORD -- On the morning of the 18th of July 2010 at 1:47 am, I decided to go outside for a cigarette as my 15 week old daughter was having trouble getting to sleep. As I lit the cigarette I noticed two orange lights in the distance. Today was the first day of a bi-yearly festival so I thought it was a couple of fireworks going off that should have finished at 11 PM. The first thing that struck me was the silence as these lights were silent and not making the firework sounds. As I kept watching I noticed they were not airplanes since they were moving far too fast and were far too bright. They covered the night sky in about 30 seconds.

UFO’S BESTAAN ECHT!

Of je nu een believer bent die gelooft in ufo’s of een scepticus, die niets van dit verschijnsel ernstig neemt; de gepensioneerde Amerikaanse kolonel John ALEXANDER komt nu naar buiten met een informatie, die beide kampen in hun voortdurende welles-nietes polemiek woedend kan maken. Meer dan 25 jaar spendeerde hij aan onderzoek binnen de topniveaus van de Amerikaanse regering en het leger op zoek naar ufo-informatie en gegevens over de vermoedelijke ufo-cover-up. Hij is een betrouwbare persoonlijkheid en zijn conclusies luiden: Er bestaat geen groepering, noch een cover-up, maar de openbaring van data over ufo’s gebeurde al op verschillende officiële niveaus.

Hij beweert dus dat de informatie over ufo’s al openbaar gemaakt werd door de officiële instanties, maar dat de reële oplossingen complexer is dan vele mensen denken. Volgens hem dienen de believers niet langer te eisen om gegevens vrij te pleiten, want de waarheid werd al veel vroeger verteld… Zo spreekt hij over president  Harry Truman die in 1950 vertelde: Ik kan u verzekeren dat als vliegende schotels bestaan, ze niet gemaakt zijn door enige aardse macht.” Ook de Amerikaanse presidenten Carter en Reagan en de Sovjet-Russische president Gorbachov hebben verklaringen in die zin afgelegd. Volgens hem kent hij tientallen generaals, zowel Amerikaanse als Sovet-Russische, die publiekelijk verklaarden dat ufo’s echt zijn. Hij begrijpt niet waarom de onderzoekers deze data negeren en vraagt zich gepast af hoeveel hooggeplaatste personaliteiten nog naar buiten dienen te komen en zeggen dat ufo’s echt bestaan vooraleer iedereen daar van overtuigd is… Hij kwam in contact met informatie  voor die werd vrijgegeven werd en hij beweert met klem dat 98% van de informatie over het ufo-incident al bekend was voor de vrijgave. Enkel de bronnen en de gebruikte methodologie werden / worden geheimgehouden.

Hij had het ook over Project Disclosure waar een aantal voormalige militairen kwamen spreken over hun ervaringen met ufo’s, die zich naar verluidt bemoeiden met de Amerikaanse atoomraketten. Volgens hem zouden de inlichtingendiensten geen onderzoek verricht hebben omdat het over éénmalige incidenten ging en ze er  daardoor geen direct gevaar in zagen. Hij gaat met zijn ervaringen in discussie met zowel de ware believers, die in elk vreemde waarneming of licht in de lucht een object van een andere planeet zien; als met de halsstarrige sceptici, die alle ufomeldingen ontkennen en al het bewijs afkraken. In zijn nieuw boek “Ufos : Myths, Conspiracies of Realities ( = Ufo’s: Mythes, Samenzweringen of Realiteiten) schrijft hij: “Ufo’s bestaan! Er trekken zonder meer fysieke objecten van onbekende oorsprong door ons universum. Je moet geen voorwaarden stellen of rond de pot draaien, het bewijs dat deze beweringen steunt is overweldigend.” Met dit bewijs bedoelt hij vooral de radar- en sensortechnologie, die regelmatig de echtheid van de fysieke objecten bevestigt en ook de hoge kwaliteit van uiterst geloofwaardige ooggetuigen. En het zijn zeker geen personen, die de feiten verkeerd weergeven of aan waanideeën lijden, zoals de sceptici beweren.

Ondanks het feit  dat hij decennia lang intens onderzoek deed naar de realiteit van ufo’s, dient hij het antwoord op de vraag – wat is de herkomst deze onverklaarbare machines (als het werkelijk machines zijn, zoals wij deze term interpreteren)? – nog altijd schuldig te blijven. Volgens hem is het probleem ufo’s uiterst complex, want als je over ufo’s praat dan gaat dit vanaf kleine lichtbollen tot aan harde objecten van een km of meer breedte en alles daar tussen in! Hij vraagt zich nog steeds af wat ufo’s in feite zijn… Hij zegt dat we niet alleen de problemen niet oplossen, maar ook niet eens de juiste vragen stellen, omdat we dit verschijnsel verkeerd benaderen. Volgens hem is ons bewustzijn een deel van de puzzel. Vele onderzoekers beweren immers dat Ufo’s de technologie hebben van een intelligentie, die 1000 jaar verder geëvolueerd zijn dan wij. Maar als je de geschiedenis van het fenomeen volgt, zijn ze volgens hem wel geavanceerder, maar liggen ze niet buiten ons bevattingsvermogen of onze verbeelding. Feit is dat ze soms vastgelegd worden door onze radars, en dan weer niet en daar weet hij geen afdoend antwoord op.

In de vroegere jaren 80 creëerde deze kolonel achter de schermen  een regeringsufostudiegroep, Advanced Theoretical Physics (Vergevorderde Theoretische Fysica) of kortweg ATP genoemd. Deze groep bestond uit leden, afkomstig van het leger en uit wetenschappelijke en inlichtingengemeenschappen. Volgens hem was door het bestaan van ATP niemand in de regering verantwoordelijk voor de ufo-informatie. Hij verklaart dat zijn ATP-groep vele ufo-gevallen analyseerden en ze kwamen tot de volgende bevindingen:

·         Er was voldoende bewijs , ondersteund door data van hoge kwaliteit, om zeker te zijn dat sommige ufo-gevallen echte afwijkingen waren, en dus zeker niet het resultaat van slechte waarneming of misinterpretatie.

·         Er waren cases, waarbij militaire wapensystemen betrokken waren en dat vormde een reële en betekenisvolle bedreiging, die onderzocht diende te worden.

·         Veelvuldige sensorgegevens, zoals radarmetingen, ondersteunden de waarnemingen van fysieke objecten, die intelligente bewegingen uitvoerden, die ver voorbij de menselijke mogelijkheid lagen.

·         Tevens waren er gevallen, waarbij fysiek sporenbewijs gevonden was.

·         De studie van de ufo-data kan een potentiële sprong in onze technologie verschaffen.

Volgens hem was de beruchte Roswell ufo-crash in 1947 in feite een top-secret militair project MOGUL in plaats van de crash van een vliegende schotel. Er ging dus wel iets fout met een prototype. Het was zeker geen weerballon zoals de luchtmacht eerst beweerde, maar een spionageballon om de Russishe activiteiten met kernexperimenten op te volgen...   

Na vele jaren van intens onderzoek naar ufo’s is deze ex-kolonel Alexander ervan overtuigd, dat het ufofenomeen, ongeacht het oogpunt – militair of burgerlijk, veel complexer is dat alleen het idee dat onze planeet door buitenaardsen bezocht worden. Hij spreekt over een precognitief bewust fenomeen: het punt is dat als er daarbuiten iets is, dat het bewust is. Wat dat bewustzijn inhoudt, hoe het reageert of hoe wij reageren, blijft nog steeds een open vraag. De grote massa zit met tegenstrijdige gevoelens over ufo’s ondanks hun belangstelling voor het verschijnsel. De mensen geloven in het bestaan van ufo’s, maar dit fenomeen heeft geen impact op hun dagelijks leven. Militair gezien verklaart Alexander is het beste voor je carrière, dat als je met een afwijking of een probleem naar voren treedt, dat je ook een oplossing of alternatief aanbiedt. Maar voor ufo’s is dit actueel nog niet mogelijk.

Over de uitspraken van ex-kolonel Alexander zal nog veel inkt vloeien, zowel bij de believers, als bij de sceptici. Volgens Georges Knapp, die een onderzoeksjournalist is en regelmatig te gast in het nachtelijk programma Coast to Coast Am van Georg Noory zal dit boek, zowel de fanatieke believers, als de fanatieke sceptici woedend maken. Ze zullen hem een rol toekennen als een MIB-achtige geheim agent, die de ufo-gemeenschap bespioneert. Ondanks de vele positieve zaken, die Alexander vermeldt, zal hij door vele ufo-onderzoekers vooral aangevallen worden over zijn uitspraken over het Roswellincident. Ondanks zijn hoge betrouwbaarheidfactor en decennia ervaring als officiële onderzoeker bij ATP, zullen er ufologen zijn die hem,  bvb met het Roswellincident, onvoldoende kennis van zaken toemeten, omdat voor velen de Roswellcrash het ultieme bewijs voor het bestaan van ‘buitenaardse’ ufo’s zijn…

Het raadselachtig UFO-verschijnsel is opmerkelijk, eigenaardig en volhardend, blijkbaar het meest unieke evenement in de moderne geschiedenis van de mensheid. Al meer dan 60 jaar rapporteren tienduizenden burgers over gans de aarde gespreid vreemde, onverklaarbare fenomenen in het luchtruim of op de grond... Deze rapporten gaan van eenvoudige, abnormale lichtverschijnselen tot onverklaarbare objecten in de lucht of op de grond. Misschien zag je zelf al eens iets vreemds... Bijkomende vreemde aanverwante verschijnselen, zoals de “cattle mutilations” en de graancirkels, stellen ons nog voor meer vragen. Veroorzaken de UFO’s deze vreemde, maar bizarre tekenen? Een angstwekkender, maar toch relatief nieuw element  in de Ufologie gaat over de ontvoeringen door aliëns. Een aantal personen verklaren dat UFO’s en hun inzittenden hen ontvoerden, meenamen tot in het ruimtetuig. Hier ondergingen ze meestal pijnlijke, medische onderzoeken; worden bloed, huid- of spermastalen genomen en soms planten de aliëns een implantaat in bij de ontvoerde...

Bizarre, ongeloofwaardige verhalen circuleren zo in het UFO-milieu. Bepaalde sceptici verwerpen het UFO-probleem gewoon zonder onderzoek. Ze geloven niet (meer) in de gerapporteerde UFO-meldingen. Volgens hen komen deze verhalen toch maar van gekken, aandachtzoekers, mediageile of fantasierijke personen of zijn het toch maar gewoon vervalsingen of trucages. Uit ons onderzoek blijkt dat dit bij de meeste UFO-meldingen niet het geval is. Inderdaad, het zijn meestal eerlijke, intelligente en wel opgevoede burgers, waaronder rechters, wetenschappers, politiemensen, militairen en zelfs ervaren piloten met hun bemanning, die UFO-waarnemingen rapporteren. Deze burgers als gek, idioot of belachelijk verklaren is laag bij de grond en getuigt van weinig wetenschappelijk inzicht. Zelfs al ben je scepticus, toch mag je niet verrast zijn te leren dat zelfs een aantal invloedrijke wetenschapsmensen met belangrijke diploma’s, naam en papieren, er stellig van overtuigd zijn dat UFO’s buitenaards zijn. Volgens hen zijn UFO’s het resultaat van buitenaardse ruimtetuigen, die onze planeet bezoeken. Indien deze buitenaardse hypothese inderdaad correct blijkt, dan is het UFO-verschijnsel de belangrijkste, wetenschappelijke gebeurtenis in het bestaan van het mensdom. En ... het gebeurt allemaal voor onze neus!

Vanzelfsprekend aanvaardt de huidige, georganiseerde wetenschappelijke gemeenschap en het overgrote deel  van  zijn wetenschappers deze stelling niet.  Waarom?  De meeste wetenschappers lopen gewoon mee met het ideeëngoed van de grote massa. De vooruitgang van de wetenschap is niet het resultaat van deze wetenschappers. Het is het werk van enkelingen, die het aandurven de bestaande wetenschappelijke stellingen en axioma’s in vraag te stellen en grenzen te verleggen... Is het mogelijk dat in een tijdperk, waarin de wetenschappers ruimteschepen naar Mars zenden in hun onderzoek naar buitenaardse levensvormen; dat ze met reusachtige radiotelescopen het heelal afspeuren naar radiosignalen van verre beschavingen, dat het bewijs van het bestaan van buitenaards, intelligent leven doodgewoon op aarde in grote hoeveelheid kan gevonden worden?

De believers, die geloven dat sommige UFO-rapporten buitenaardse bezoekers vertegenwoordigen, wachten vol ongeduld op die ene waarneming die alle twijfels wegneemt en het ultieme bewijs levert... De non-believers en sceptici proberen op allerlei wijzen de Ufologie te kelderen, soms verklaren ze gewoon één specifieke UFO-waarneming en stellen dan al de andere meldingen in vraag en eveneens als verklaarbaar... Simplistische denkpiste, denk je ook niet? In plaats van op een positieve manier SAMEN op onderzoek te gaan, maken ze elkaar het leven zuur door een afbraakpolitiek te volgen.  Maar tot het vinden van dat ene, onweerlegbaar bewijs voor UFO’s (buitenaardse theorie), vind ik dat wij objectieve en neutrale onderzoekers dienen te blijven, met beide voeten op de grond. De welles – nietes polemiek van wie het bewijs dient te leveren, is prietpraat.  Degenen die na 50 jaar nog steeds niet aannemen dat UFO’s bestaan, zijn ongelovige thomassen...  Wel is het een feit dat ondanks de vele duizenden UFO-meldingen, slechts een fractie voldoet aan de verklaring van UFO, onbekend vliegen objekt... Meer dan 90 % van alle meldingen kunnen wij verklaren als optische illusies, hallucinaties, vreemde natuurverschijnselen, testvluchten van geheime toestellen en zelfs trucages en vervalsingen .... 

Dus bij het onderzoek van een UFO-waarneming dienen wij vooral neutraal, objectief en zelfs sceptisch te blijven. Onze gepaste achterdocht leidt ons naar het zoeken van een “aardse oplossing” voor de melding. Slechts als alle mogelijke wetenschappelijke en aardse denkpistes uitgeput zijn, kunnen, mogen, durven wij van een UFO spreken. Bij de minste twijfel over een mogelijke oplossing, dienen wij deze laatste als verklaring te aanvaarden, tot het tegendeel bewezen is.  Even verduidelijken wat ik onder de term UFO versta. Voor mij is een UFO een onbekend, onverklaarbaar (na alle mogelijke oplossingen te checken) licht of object in de lucht of op de grond, die wij met onze huidige kennis niet kunnen verklaren. Een UFO is voor mij dus geen buitenaardse,” vliegende schotel met inzittenden”! Als je deze laatste stelling of verklaring van de term UFO zelf aanneemt, kan je geen objectief, neutraal onderzoek doen of dien je uitermate voorzichtig te werk te gaan bij je UFO-onderzoek...  Daarom vind ik dat wij tijdens ons onderzoek een aantal principes dienen na te leven of er ten minste rekening mee te houden. Deze stellingen kan je uitgebreid terugvinden in het boek van Philip J. Klass “UFO’s EXPLAINED”... Ondanks de jaren kwam er geen sleet op deze principes. Het kan geen kwaad om deze principes van de meester-scepticus in ons achterhoofd te houden...

PRINCIPE 1:        Normale eerlijke en intelligente personen, die plots blootgesteld worden aan een korte, onverwachte gebeurtenis, vooral één die een ongewoon object betreft, zullen meestal onjuist en onvolledig zijn in het nauwkeurig beschrijven van wat ze echt zagen. De reden is dat wat een persoon gelooft dat hij zag, sterk beïnvloed wordt door de vroeger reeds ervaren en opgeslagen informatie, misschien onbewust in de hersenen...

PRINCIPE 2:        Ondanks de strikte beperkingen van de menselijk waarneming, wanneer ze blootgesteld wordt aan korte, onverwachte en ongewone gebeurtenissen, zullen sommige details, gerapporteerd door de waarnemer bijzonder correct en juist zijn. Het grote probleem voor de UFO-onderzoeker is uit te zoeken welke details correct werden weergegeven en welke onjuist en onvolledig zijn.       Dit terugvinden of achterhalen van de correcte en alle details van een melding lijkt ons onmogelijk tot de ware identiteit van de UFO achterhaalt wordt, wat niet altijd het geval is... het gevaar schuilt er eveneens in dat de waarnemer een aantal details “onbewust” aanvult om zijn waarneming geloofwaardiger te maken. Niemand wordt graag belachelijk gemaakt, vandaar dit onbewuste proces...

PRINCIPE 3:        Als een persoon, die een ongewoon en vreemd object waarneemt, besluit dat hij waarschijnlijk een ruimteschip van een andere planeet zag, kan hij echt aannemen dat het object reageert op zijn a        aanwezigheid of acties ondernam, terwijl in realiteit er absoluut geen oorzaak-gevolg effect of interactie plaatsvindt...

PRINCIPE 4:        Nieuws media, die een grote aandacht besteden bij het eerst ontvangen van een UFO-melding, besteden weinig of geen aandacht, tijd of plaats om een aanvaardbare verklaring voor de waarneming te geven, wanneer al feiten ontdekt en verklaard zijn... Inderdaad voor de eerste melding durven ze de frontpagina te gebruiken, terwijl de verklaring meestal een gering, klein artikeltje inhoudt, ergens op een binnen blad.

PRINCIPE 5:        Geen enkele menselijke waarnemer, inbegrepen ervaren vliegtuigbemanningen, kunnen correct  de stand / de hoogte of de grootte van een ongewoon object  in de lucht schatten, tenzij het zeer sterk overeenkomt met een gekend voorwerp, waarvan ze de grootte of hoogte wel kennen en er dus mee kunnen vergelijken...

PRINCIPE 6:        Eens dat de nieuwsmedia uitgebreid vermelden dat ze geloven dat er Ufo’s in de buurt zijn, zijn er een aantal natuurlijke en door mensen gemaakte tuigen, vooral al ze bij nacht gezien worden, die ongewone karakteristieken vertonen in het brein van de hoopvolle waarnemers. Hun UFO rapporten voegen zich op hun beurt tot de opgewonden massa, waardoor nog meer waarnemers aangemoedigd worden om naar UFO’s te speuren. Deze situatie voedt zich net zolang tot dat de media hun belangstelling verliezen voor het onderwerp, waarna de “UFO-flap” snel alle stoom aflaat en stilvalt...

PRINCIPE 7:        In de poging vast te stellen of een UFO een vervalsing (hoax) is, dient de onderzoeker zich te baseren op het fysisch bewijs, of het gebrek eraan, wanneer het in een specifiek geval zou moeten bestaan. Hij mag niet enkel en alleen afhangen van karakterbevestingen van de belangrijkste betrokkenen of waarnemers. Mensen, die gewoon eerlijk zijn/lijken en zich aan de wet houden, kunnen evenzeer betrokken worden bij een vervalsing.

PRINCIPE 8:        Het onvermogen van zelfs ervaren onderzoekers om volledig en positief een UFO-melding te verklaren bij gebrek aan voldoende gegevens, zelfs na een harde en lange inspanning, impliceert niet echt het bewijs van de theorie dat ruimtetuigen van een andere planeet onze aarde bezoeken. Vaak brengt de toekomst raad en worden bepaalde meldingen achteraf toch op een “aardse” manier verklaard.

PRINCIPE 9 :       Wanneer een lichtverschijnsel s’nachts in de lucht waargenomen wordt en de waarnemer gelooft dat hij een UFO ziet en hij meldt dit aan een radaroperator met de vraag  om op zijn scherm te zoeken naar een onbekend doel, zal er meestal onveranderlijk  “een onbekend doel” gevonden worden op het scherm. Tegengesteld, wanneer een ongewoon punt op het radarscherm s’nachts waargenomen wordt, waarvan de operator aanneemt of verdenkt dat het een UFO is, en een waarnemer wordt gevraagd om te zoeken naar een licht aan de nachtelijke hemel, zal er onveranderlijk een visuele waarneming gebeuren... In de opgewondenheid van het ogenblik, lijkt het niet belangrijk dat het radarpunt zich in het westen bevindt, terwijl de visuele waarneming aan de oostelijke, noordelijke of zuidelijke hemel zichtbaar is...”de twee waarnemingen” lijken elkaar gewoon te bevestigen. Zelfs wanneer er tussen de 2 waarnemingen (radar / waarnemer) minuten of uren liggen, gaat men er vanuit dat de waarneming door twee onafhankelijke bronnen bevestigd werden..

PRINCIPE 10:      Veel UFO-meldingen lijken raadselachtig en onverklaarbaar, gewoon omdat de onderzoekers faalden om een voldoende inspanning te leveren om de melding te verklaren, ofwel door gebrek aan tijd, ofwel door gebrek aan kennis, ofwel door een specifiek geloof... Het is niet verrassend dat een aantal onderzoekers personen zijn die ervan overtuigd zijn dat UFO’s buitenaardse bezoekers zijn, bewust of onbewust. Hoe hoger het aantal onverklaarbare UFO-meldingen, hoe sterker de buitenaardse theorie wordt...

Ondanks het feit dat Philip Klass deze principe een 30 jaar terug aanhaalde, vind ik ze nog steeds brandend actueel. Om ons onderzoek een positieve en onweerlegbare basis te geven, zijn deze “raadgevingen” van levensbelang. Zijn doel was om alle UFO’s als verklaarbaar en aards te maken. Willen wij één of andere theorie bewijzen, zoals de buitenaardse of de meerdere dimensietheorie, dan dienen onze rapporten voldoende gestructureerd te zijn en de bewijzen onweerlegbaar... Geen eenvoudige zaak noch voor de believers, noch voor de non-believers of sceptici om hun stellingen hard te maken. Het belangrijkste is wel dat wij vaak door de welles-niets polemiek ons hoofddoel of bestaansreden als onderzoeker uit het oog verliezen, namelijk het zoeken naar de waarheid achter het UFO-fenomeen...

Zijn deze principes het evangelie? Verre van maar je kan altijd van een tegenstander / scepticus leren. Schakel zijn opmerkingen uit en je maakt je studie een stuk geloofwaardiger en krachtiger. Vanzelfsprekend heb ik Klass niet letterlijk verwoord, maar heb ik mijn persoonlijke opinie aan zijn principes gevoegd. Over het ontvoeringssyndroom wordt in deze principes niet gepraat, maar ook daar had zijn persoonlijke visie over. Jawel, negatief, maar van een scepticus kan je niet meer verwachten. Desalniettemin dien je wel rekening te houden met de visie en opmerkingen van de meester-scepticus in het zoeken naar de waarheid....

Clayton South residents remember the 1966 day they saw flying objects

FLYING saucers, crop circles, missing film, disappearing files, denials, military cover-ups, threats and shadowy Men in Black.

It couldn't happen here?

Most people would say it couldn't happen anywhere!

But more than 100 witnesses to one of the world's biggest UFO mysteries are adamant that it did, in broad daylight in Clayton South on April 6, 1966.

And 44 years after the event, many are still fuming that the military they say were swarming around the scene for days have offically denied the incident and no record appears to exist.

They say they spent their lives being doubted and want some official acknowledgment that something weird happened above and behind Westall high and primary schools that morning.

London's Telegraph newspaper rates it as the fifth-greatest UFO mystery of all time, but another mystery is how little-known the episode is here.

A documentary - Westall '66: A Suburban UFO Mystery - premieres on Austar and Foxtel's Sci-Fi Channel at 8.30pm tomorrow.

Producers hope it will flush out an official who can say what the military were doing and what they found.

Researcher Shane Ryan has spent five years tracking 110 witnesses, many found through an appeal in the Herald Sun in 2006, but could find no military officials, and no record of a military response.

But locals remember it vividly, saying it lasted days.

The 110 Mr Ryan has found who say they saw saucers include professionals, tradies and a Ministerial Adviser, but not one military official of the time.

He says time is running out for them to come clean.

"Whatever security concerns there were at the time, they are redundant now,'' he says.

A TV crew covered the incident and it screened on the 6pm news, but the film canister from the job was recently found empty in the station archives.

Several witnesses say they were warned off speaking by sharply-dressed men in dark suits, in the principal's office and at home.

Others recall school threats of detention for UFO talk.

But talk there was, and coverage.

The Dandenong Journal reported the incident on its front page for consecutive issues and ran interviews with witnesses.

Many were school pupils who say they saw flying saucers from their school yards. Some ran to Grange Reserve, where the craft appeared to have come down.

Terry Peck, 56, was among them. She says she was playing cricket on the oval, saw the saucer and chased after it to Grange Reserve.

"Two girls were there before me. One was terribly upset and they were pale, really white, ghostly white. They just said they had passed out, fainted. One was taken to hospital in an ambulance,'' she says.

Ms Peck says she saw a silver, classic-shape saucer rise up.

"I was about 6m away from it. It was bigger than a car and circular. I think I saw some lights underneath it.

"We all got called to an assembly ... and they told us all to keep quiet.

"I'd absolutely just like someone to come forward from the services just to say 'yes, it did happen, and it landed and there was a cover-up'.''

Jacqueline Argent, 58, in Form 3 then, says she saw a UFO from the oval and was one of the first three kids over the fence looking for where it came down.

"Originally I thought it must have been an experimental-type aircraft, but nothing has emerged like that after all these years,'' she said.

She says she was called into the headmaster's office and interrogated by three men: "They had good-quality suits and were well spoken. They said, 'I suppose you saw little green men'?

"I spoke to my parents about it at the time and they were pretty outraged.''

Retired engineer Kevin Hurley, a Monash Uni student then, missed the saucers but saw the aftermath.

"There were army or air force people in the area,'' he said.

"I'm pretty sure they were going around the area with geiger counters or metal detectors.

"I'm not a freak that thinks Martian people are coming. I don't think that kind of stuff, but it's bugged me.

"After 44 years, I reckon they need to come clean on this.''

War of the Sons of Light and Sons of Darkness

Astronauts have always been distinguished men of valor and exploits. A couple of years ago, Dr. Edgar Mitchell and I had a brief conversation after we spoke to about fifty Congressional staff personnel in Washington DC. He indicated as I do that we may be visited by some type of intelligence from space. I asked Edgar, what he thought was the real secret to all of this concerning UFOs. He said, "The answers are all in the Dead Sea Scrolls."

Even now not all of these scrolls have not been revealed. I searched the scrolls myself later to find some meaning. The text of the "War of the Sons of Light and Sons of Darkness" describes where two sides are in an apocalyptic battle for Earth. The angels are described as being part of the fight.

"Warrior angels are in our muster, and He that is mighty in War is in our throng. The army of His spirits marches beside us. Our horsemen come like clouds or like banks of dew, to cover the earth, or like torrential showers, to rain judgment on all that grows in it. Opposing the good forces are the forces of darkness.

But for corruption thou hast made Belial, an angel of hostility. All his dominion is darkness and guilt. All the spirits that are associated with him are angels of destruction. They follow only the laws of darkness, and their craving is directed toward it." Pages 414-416 The Dead Sea Scriptures.

In his scholarly book, "Egyptian Ideas of the Afterlife, British Egyptologist E.A. Wallis Budge said that the ancient Egyptians were preoccupied with life beyond the grave and that over thousands of years ancient Egyptians had a wealth of ideas and beliefs concerning immortality and the after life. Ancient Egyptian records described a fleet of UFOs moving across the clear blue sky over ancient Egypt.

UK Possible UFO Worship Stonehenge's Timber Twin and Cursus

During my four year Air Force tour in England I visited many prehistoric sites such as Stonehenge that could have been a landing place for disc shaped UFOs. A couple miles away is Woodhenge older than Stonehenge and was made from wood also in the shape of a disc. Archeologists claim the ancients worshipped the Sun or Moon, but these are balls not discs shaped. The timber circles were uncovered at Durrington Walls, the site of a Stone Age village and prehistoric earthworks were discovered in the early summer of 1925 as Squadron Leader Insall sat at the controls of his Sopwith Snipe and noticed the recently ploughed remains of several disc barrows which had been almost obliterated by decades of farming. One particular barrow in Dough Covert caught his eye as it appeared to resemble Stonehenge, visible two miles away. Woodhenge was made by skilled carpenters who lived 4000 years ago. It was 127 feet in diameter and contained 2750 yards of wooden framework that required ten acres of land. It was probably built prior to Stonehenge and may have been as a model for the stone monolith. I suggest the ancients worshipped Unidentified Flying Objects that are frequently seen over the Stonehenge area. Woodhenge Timberhenge, and Stonehenge are disc shaped structures.

Theunis Bates writes, -- Stonehenge, that ancient and mysterious circle of giant obelisks on England's Salisbury Plain, may once have had a nearby wooden "twin," according to a pioneering new archaeological survey. "The idea of finding something as significant and dramatic as this monument, so close to Stonehenge, is just brilliant," Henry Chapman , an archaeologist at the University of Birmingham and a member of the team that made the discovery, told AOL News. "It will completely change the way we think about Stonehenge and the surrounding landscape."
The discovery of the timber henge (a term used to describe any British circular ritual site dating from 3,000 to 2,000 B.C.) was made by a multinational team of archaeologists , who started surveying the land around Stonehenge with sensors that provide a high-definition 3-D view of what's under the ground. "Every time you excavate, you damage the site by moving material," Chapman says. "With the technology we use, such as ground-penetrating radar, there's no need to dig."

"The post holes are up to a meter in diameter, which suggests that the timbers they'd have held would have been at least 10 feet high," Chapman says. He adds that the towering structure was likely built "about 4,500 years ago, on the basis of comparing it with similar sites." That's approximately the same time that Stonehenge's world-famous trilithons -- a prehistoric structure with two upright stone blocks supporting a third placed across the top -- were erected.

And curiously, the newly discovered monument mirrors a similar henge some 4,270 feet southeast of Stonehenge, which was first uncovered in 1937. Like the newly discovered site, that circle overlooks the ancient stone structure and has two entrances. All three henges appear to have been deliberately aligned.

The latest find throws into question previous assumptions about Britain's most famous ancient monument. "Many interpretations have traditionally placed Stonehenge at the center of the site in isolation," Chapman says. "But what we're seeing is that Stonehenge, when it entered its very grand phrase, wasn't the only structure in the area. It was surrounded by other complex structures, that may have been used much like medieval cathedrals." So instead of being the focus of all the ancient folks' attention, Stonehenge was likely just one -- admittedly impressive -- part of the religious landscape.

As the ancient Britons didn't record their thoughts, we'll likely never know exactly why they built Stonehenge and its smaller siblings. But Chapman says the latest discovery offers an insight into their beliefs. He suggests that the "wood and stone" circles may have been placed close together as the two materials had intertwined "symbolic meanings" for Neolithic Brits. That ties in with the thinking of Mike Parker Pearson , a Sheffield University archaeologist and henge expert, who has suggested that the wooden structures might have been associated with feasts for the living, while stone circles were realms of the dead.

The discovery of the new wooden henge is likely just the first of many surprise discoveries to come from Chapman and his fellow archaeologists. By 2014, they intend to have scanned about 5 square miles of land around Stonehenge, which will then be collated into a detailed map.

"I think in the next four years, we're going to have quite a different understanding of Stonehenge," Chapman says. "We're going to fill in the detail between the standing monuments, and hopefully by doing that, show the complexities and subtleties of the Neolithic people who were here." http://www.vista.bham.ac.uk/

Nearby is the Stonehenge Cursus a long rectangular earthwork that runs for about 3km (1.8 miles) on an east-west alignment. It was built during the Neolithic period , around 3100 BC, making it slightly earlier than the circular bank and ditch of the first phase of Stonehenge.

Although similar cursus monuments exist in England and many theories have been put forward, we do not know the purpose of these mysterious monuments. They generally survive only as marks, shallow banks and ditches visible only from the air. Cursus (plural 'curs s' or 'cursuses') was a name given by early British archaeologists such as William Stukeley to the large parallel lengths of banks with external ditches which they thought were early Roman athletic courses , hence the Latin name cursus, meaning "course". Cursus monuments are now understood to be Neolithic structures and represent some of the oldest prehistoric monumental structures of the British Isles; ^[1] cursus may have been of ceremonial function.

They range in length from 50 metres to almost 10 kilometres and the distance between the parallel earthworks can be up to 100 metres. Banks at the terminal ends enclose the cursus.

Contemporary internal features are rare and it has been traditionally thought that the cursuses were used as processional routes. They are often aligned on and respect the position of pre-existing long barrows and bank barrows and appear to ignore difficulties in terrain. The Dorset Cursus , the longest known example, crosses a river and three valleys along its course across Cranborne Chase and is close to the henge monuments at Knowlton . It has been conjectured that they were used in rituals connected with ancestor worship, that they follow astronomical alignments or that they served as buffer zones between ceremonial and occupation landscapes.

Examples include the four cursuses at Rudston in Yorkshire , that at Fornham All Saints in Suffolk , the Cleaven Dyke in Perthshire and the Dorset cursus. ^[2] A notable example is the Stonehenge Cursus , within sight of the more famous Stonehenge. I chased a mile long Mothership over England and the ancient Britain's would have been impressed like I was.

Note: There is strong evidence that ancient man worshiped disc shaped and cylinder shaped objects. American Indians in Ohio were buried in their mounds with small flint circular stones. Air Force Gains Space-Surveillance Asset

The 1st Space Operations Squadron at Schriever AFB, Colorado has taken operational control of the Space Tracking and Surveillance System Advanced Technology Risk Reduction satellite from the Missile Defense Agency. This addition gives the Air Force another on-orbit asset for monitoring objects in space as part of the space situational awareness mission. "[B]ringing ATRR onboard will further enhance 1st SOPS' capabilities and contributions to the broader SSA mission," said Col. John Shaw, commander of Schriever's 50th Operations Group. STSS ATRR reached orbit in May 2009 for use in missile tracking experiments for MDA. After 20 months of testing that showed the satellite had operational utility, MDA last November announced plans to transfer the satellite to the Air Force. What on Earth? Inside the Crop Circle Mystery

Suzanne Taylor Producer/Director, What is ignored in the ET/UFO question is the positive effect that establishing contact might have. Science fiction portrays how bad it could be, but how about how good it could be? Think of the ideal. We are in contact. They are helping us. Their technology makes Earth thrive. Whether our relationship is directly physical or not, can you imagine what that would do to each and every one of us? It would be a new framework in which to experience life. We all would be learning life again. We would be so uplifted in our lifetimes. And while we have been confined to Earth, they have been travelling, so what is in this vast universe that they can open us up to? What picture they can bring us of life out there?

To get us open to a next reality, consider how likely it is that ETs would be friendly. If otherwise, wouldn't they have attacked by now? And why we've had no friendly visit yet could be they are waiting for us to get that they're for real. If we were open to them, they could come in with no force or fear in play. Alaska UFOs

SEWARD -- I saw two UFO's coming from the northwest at a fast speed on May 25, 2011. I ran to my motor home, grabbed my camera phone, looking out the window I saw another coming from same direction. I snapped this photo, it's the first one, I've been lucky enough to get. I usually, never have a camera around. I've seen these objects now and I've have been putting cameras all around my property, and now carry my phone camera with me all the time. It flew to the southwest. There is a lot of activity, in Seward area, but the summer is very cloudy, but when it clears in the night sky, it's off the hook.

Once in the day time one was just hiding in a hovering single cloud. I felt I was being watched, and kept my eye on the small cloud in the clear sky. It seemed out of place far away from the cloud front moving in, then the cloud dissipated and there it was. It must have noticed at the same time because right then it flew southeast to a cloud bank about two miles away. I clearly saw it in mid afternoon. I and many others have seen UFO's in Seward; some see them breaching the surface of the ocean, and flying away. Many others just drop in from space as it would seem, many times hovering over Bear Mountain, and Mt Marathon. I have to put salmon away for the winter, storing one year's supply of food hear the next few years might be extra hard and we may have earthquakes here soon.

No one has pointed out that these moving five star like objects passed behind a stationary star like object. I seen this type with my own eyes passing behind stars before; and that's why I noticed. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oakdale -- I was coming back from a poker tournament with a friend on June 10, 2011, when I saw something in the air about 75 feet high. I kept looking and couldn't figure out what it was, it stayed in the same spot and as we were getting closer to it coming down Mariposa Road toward Stockton. I asked, "Do you see that April?

It looked like a large jellyfish with a round top, something around the middle and large wavy things that hung down as it hovered silently that came to a point at a wide angle. I have NEVER seen anything like it and it had no lights, and it was a dark grey color.

We turned around to try to catch it on video on our phones, but were not successful. Shortly after we turned around a jet fast flying very low passed very near. Suddenly it was gone! POOF! It was definitely a UFO right above the road. Thanks to MUFON Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Disc

TAMPA -- I was testing out a thermal camera, about 1:20 AM, and noticed a heat signature above the tree line that was pulsing low to high heat. About that time a plane coming into Tampa airport was going by to the right of the object when it completely went cold. Once the plane flew by it started pulsing again. I switched the camera to black its hot setting and you could see that stereo typical disc shape. It then started getting smaller like it was flying away then went straight up very fast. Illinois Six Craft and Light

CARBONDALE -- I saw a long shinny cylinder in the northwest sky around 6:54 am, as I was going to work on November 2, 2002. The sun was out, and there were no stars in the sky. I went back into my house and got my camera, that took about three minutes; and to my surprise the object was still there. After snapping the first shot, it was gone. I've seen a lot of strange crafts in the skies, but this was the first time I was able to get a photo. Thanks to MUFON CMS

MORRIS -- I was outside at 10:15 PM, on June 3, 2011, looking up in the sky with a Genie night vision scope. I saw at least five different craft at very high altitude flying north and one was traveling west in a slightly erratic flight path. I was able to film this craft via night vision and iPhone. The last craft was a glowing orange sphere at a low altitude and could be seen with a naked eye. I was able to video a craft clearly moving south that was very bright glowing object. Will try to post them later. None of the craft left trails. The skies are getting busier. Just get outside and look up. Thanks to MUFON CMS

St. Charles -- My boyfriend I were taking a walk through my neighborhood on June 3, 2011, when I noticed a very bright, amber star in the w est traveling fairly quickly about 10:50 PM. I noticed the "comet continued in a steady unfaltering east path flicker ing very consistently. My father is an Air Traffic Controller and I am fairly familiar with aircraft and I assured him we had not seen a plane, probably just space debris.

Ten minutes later, I spotted another object, identical to the other flying east. By now, being halfway across the sky, this strange orb was fitting absolutely no description of anything I had ever recognized. It was much like the flame on a candle. It seems to be consistently traveling at a fairly low altitude and had a straight, steady flight pattern. We also both noticed that both objects had been entirely silent. Suddenly, the object just shut off.

Note: The witness who reported the sighting seems to have a good knowledge of the appearance of conventional aircraft. However, some of the characteristics listed fit the description of Chinese Lanterns. Thanks to William Puckett, Director http://www.ufosnw.com

Indiana Cylinder

FORT WAYNE -- On June 12, 2011, I was taking garbage outside and I saw a long bright silver object flying high. There was no sound, and even when it was flying right over me, I did not see any wings. I ran inside to get my cameras, and it was gliding across the sky pretty steady. There was another smaller grey object that flew from the opposite side of the craft at a faster speed, and it disappeared after they crossed the paths. I'm not saying it flew inside the other craft, but I did not see it anymore.

The silver craft had a little dark stripe across of it, like a belt. It was a little closer to the head, not in the dead center. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kansas Two UFOs

WICHITA -- My wife and I took our dog for a walk in Harvest Park about 9 pm, on June 8, 2011. I noticed the lights of two craft, closer than I've ever seen two craft together. They were identical, and had both solid and blinking lights a deep saturated yellow. They were traveling at a steady high rate of speed without sound. They were so low; they disappeared the behind trees on the horizon. Then we spotted another pair of identical craft to the north, heading west.

I called Wesley Medical Center, Wichita Life Watch, and Eagle Med to determine if they had any helicopters paired up and flying over Wichita. I called the FAA who said they didn't know of anything. I had a very weird conversation with a traffic control woman who denied there was any traffic. She suggested I talk to the TV news stations to see if they have any reports. Minnesota Triangle

BYRON -- On June12, 2011, my w ife was on the phone outside having a cigarette facing south. She came and got me and I ran out as it traveled behind the moon and it appeared as a bright light but in triangular. It traveled faster than a plane but made no sound and had no blinking lights. It looked like a ball of light as it got further away traveling NE and then seemed to veer east until it was out of sight. The sighting left us in awe and bewildered. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Flying Object

Ramapo Lake -- Something I saw a few weeks ago has been on my mind. Up until recently I considered myself a sane, normal person. That being said here is a picture taken from Castle Point above Ramapo Lake of a silent object. There is no blur seeming to imply it was standing still. The picture was taken by me on my, a Sony Eriksson 518 cell phone. My only witness is my developmentally delayed daughter. I'm not saying its UFO.

CAPE MAY COUNTY COURTHOUSE -- On June 8, 2011, around 8:30 pm, I was out in front smoking and spotted a fairly large bright orange glowing orb, traveling east. It made a few erratic turns, slowed up, and traveled into the space. Then it hovered for a minute, until it disappeared into thin air. I said to myself that it was probably a flare.

"The next time I came out was at 9:15 PM, and saw a similar object, with a bright orange light that performed the same types of weird maneuvers as the first and passed behind the tree across my street. Then two more objects that looked precisely the same as the first object appeared. However, the second two were flying in formation, matching each other's speed. The lead object went dark nearly simultaneously with the appearance of the second two craft, but this time I could make out a very feint, oddly colored strobe light that soon disappeared completely. Atlantic City -- I went outside early in the morning after having seen a particularly bright star from my bedroom window as I laid in bed watching TV on May 30, 2011. I decided to go outside and saw a similar thing to what I had seen last night. But this time, the object seemed to be much lower with another point of light connected to it. At dawn the object slowly floated towards the horizon and faded slowly into the sky as the two objects stayed equidistant from one another.

I have no idea what the objects were. The light was completely steady and white for the whole time until it dimmed as dawn was breaking... My reactions were one of awe because I didn't expect to see an object again like the anomalous object I viewed the previous night. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ohio Disc

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP - - A man who believes he saw a UFO in Geauga County shared his amazing story Thursday night. "There's this disc above the lake," longtime resident Glenn Frohring said. "It just hovered there and all of a sudden it was like it was on a giant rubber band and went woof just like that."

Frohring said he believes the disc he saw that day in 1954 was a UFO. And there were other sightings during that same decade. One man reported seeing a UFO leave a crop circle at Patti Clemson's grandparents' farm in Montville Township. "I just remember them saying it was a UFO and this man saw it and went home to get someone and came back and it was gone," Clemson recalled. She was seven years old at the time. The subject of UFO sightings resurfaced with the planned opening of Observatory Park, which will offer a unique look into outer space. The facility is about a mile from the farm Patti Clemson's grandparents once owned.

"I'm sure it happened, " she said of the mysterious crop circles.

Frohring has a theory about why there were so many UFO sightings in the 1950s. He believes it had something to do with the setting off of atom bombs. And why were the sightings in Geauga County and not Cleveland? "It's rural," Frohring said. "People are outside." By: Deb Lee, newsnet5.com

Wayne/Philadelphia -- I was taking pictures of airplane contrails on April 19, 2001. The next morning I was looking over my pictures, when I noticed an unusual object in the photo. I saw and heard nothing unusual. I have no idea what this thing is. I showed the photo to my wife, who is VERY skeptical of any kind of "paranormal" stuff. She couldn't figure out what it was. South Carolina Round Objects

33.836081 N 81.1637245 W -- I went outside just happened to look up at the sky from the back yard. I saw two objects I thought were aircraft at first. I thought one was a training craft and the other perhaps the instructor. Neither craft made a sound. I thought that maybe one was a glider but then I asked myself-no engine sound, and they both look alike. Then they banked as they did so I could see that they were round craft. Tennessee Orange Spheres

FRANKLIN -- We were driving home when my husband pulled the car over at 9:05 PM, on June 4, 2011, and he pointed up into the sky. Over a field to our left, we saw five orange sphere-like objects hovering around each other. They were divided into groups of two and three. These spheres appeared to be probe-like. This made us uneasy. My husband took a picture with his cell phone. After a couple minutes, the first group disappeared and then the second group. Thanks to MUFON CMS

West Virginia Cylinder

BIG OTTER Highway -- My family and I were visiting my Aunt on June 10, 2011 in Clay County on a warm clear evening when the moon caught my attention, and just above it was what I thought to be an airplane. I decided to test out the zoom on my recently bought camera and I tried taking several pictures of the airplane. The first picture I caught the whole object. The second picture I only captured half plus a random tree branch from the tree in her front yard. I thought nothing more of the object being anything other than an airplane until right when I took the second photo. After I pushed the button to take the second photo I looked up and it disappeared. I felt puzzled and zoomed in on the object in the images and realized it had no wings or tail. It just looked like the cigar shaped UFOs. It was white silver cylinder shaped object. When we came home we took the pictures and expanded them on the computer. It looked like five orbs together, making the cylinder object. Then I started looking up cigar shaped UFOs. Melbourne -- My name is Ed Catmull about one month ago I discovered a photo that was taken of me by a friend of mine somewhere in rural New South Wales or Queensland back in 1980, it was originally on slide film but I had it transferred to disc with a number of other shots of that road trip. Now the actual photo is not great quality ( a bit dark) and I had pondered on a number of occasions to delete the photo from my computer for that reason but because it was one of the few photos of that trip I never did! Thank goodness as I was casually looking at my computer screen one night as I use photos rotating as screensavers when I noticed something above the tree line in the background! After 31 years I discovered to my amazement and excitement as I started to enlarge the object that right behind me at that point in time was a disc craft UFO! Spa Gull -- A city in Santa Catarina State, The object was shot at 17:49 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Upon sighting there were no witnesses. I wish to have the video analyzed. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan -- I stepped outside and looked up to see a white cigar-shaped UFO heading East over Moose Jaw on June 9, 2011. It didn't appear to have any wings or trails. Scarborough, Ontario -- Paul writes, "When I was eight years old on a in mid afternoon on a Sunday in August 1967, I witnessed my first daylight UFO sighting, as pointed out by my neighbor. I witnessed an actual silver pear shape craft up close in August 1977. Through the years I witnessed several craft sightings include witnesses. One spectacular sighting I alone observed was in late August 1995, where over 80-100 lights appeared and disappeared in a bell shape form over Georgian Bay.

After experiencing my ninth sighting at camp about 2:30 AM, on August 3^rd 2002, a crop circle formation was found in Howick, Quebec and reported by the Toronto Star Newspaper. I found myself questioning; what the heck is going on around here and why was I witnessing all these UFOs so I contacted a local investigator. He helped me reveal childhood nightmares? I clearly remember being carried out in a cradle position along our bedroom hall by two tall non human beings. I could see thin long legs moving in a robotic motion. I felt very strange and could hear my parents snoring in their room as I passed my parents bedroom. I then looked into the face of a very hideous white grayish insect like creature what was carrying me.

It was looking at this large headed creature with wrapped around piercing black eyes similar to a praying mantis species. The huge eyes gave me a stunning stare with a message, "How dare you look at me? I was very frightened and could only move my eyes and could not scream as these two beings were quite tall and walked together side by side. I now find myself in a corner-less room with no lights and no furniture. The room seems to be like a murky light tone mushroom color. There was a group of about six smaller different creatures in a circle that resembled a white snowman. They were tossing me around to each other like a ball. While one was holding me, I noticed the large cranial head moving from side to side like an insect as checking me out from head to toe. I was deeply frightened in this dream. The group appeared to have some type of humor amongst them. I was like a ball in a game.

Furthering these nightmares, I remember being in a dark place without light. Then with my eyes open in this deep darkness, I could see this small spherical bright white light. It moved side to side like a pendulum then moved in closer to me getting bigger. It surrounded me with a crushing sensation to the chest. I woke up in my bed screaming for my parents that early morning. I was sweating and had a high temperature. My parents came into my room and my Father said,'should we take him to the hospital ? My Mother said, "He just has a bad fever. I'll take him to our bed and get a cold cloth to cool him down. I was terribly shaken from that dream.

Victor believes I was abducted as a child, so I decided to research UFO's and alien abduction reports worldwide. I could not get enough information and conducted an obsessive research during 2002 to 2003. The town of Oshawa, Ontario had a series of many power outages from January to April 2003. Adding that in 2003, I had witnessed about 16 UFO daylight sightings and pointed them out to many other witnesses. After witnessing a close encounter of a flying snake like creature at camp on August 7^th 2003, it became clear that this is utterly paranormal.

I decided to research my possible abductions and I got a hit from an article dated August 21, 1965, claiming UFOs were seen over Scarborough for several weeks. I was deeply shocked to learn my childhood nightmares; were not nightmares. This is obviously connected to why I've been witnessing these UFO's and associated paranormal in my life.

The answer I found was very over whelming to my psyche and I have the feeling I had been watched my entire life. Following day on August 14, 2003. There was a massive power outage along the eastern seaboard at 4:11 PM Eastern. Now I was in a deeper bewilderment.

Mars Structures

David Martines noticed a mysterious rectangular structure that appears to be on the Red Planet's surface while trolling the planetary surface using Google Mars, a new map program created from compiled satellite images of the planet.

This is a video of something I discovered on Google Mars quite by accident," said Martines, the armchair astronaut, in a now-viral YouTube video. "I call it Bio Station Alpha, because I'm just assuming that something lives in it or has lived in it."

He zooms in the surface anomaly — a long, pixilated, white object — and lists the coordinates as 49'19.73"N 29 33'06.53"W. "It's over 700 feet long and 150 feet wide. It looks like it's a cylinder or made up of cylinders," he says.

Some experts: "Bio Station Alpha" is simply a glitch in the image caused by cosmic energy interfering with the camera. "It looks like a linear streak artifact produced by a cosmic ray , " said Alfred McEwen, a planetary geologist at the Lunar and Planetary Lab at the University of Arizona. McEwen is the principal investigator of the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE), a powerful telescope currently orbiting Mars. Cosmic rays are extremely energetic particles emitted by the sun and other stars. For the most part, the Earth's protective magnetosphere blocks them from hitting the planet's surface, McEwen explained. "But with space images that are taken outside our magnetosphere, such as those taken by orbiting telescopes, it's very common to see these cosmic ray hits. You see them on optical images and a lot of the infrared images too," he told Life's Little Mysteries.

As a cosmic ray passes through a camera's image sensor, it deposits a large amount of its electric charge in the pixels that it penetrates leaving a bright streak on the image.

Google doesn't identify the source image. "I can't tell whether this image was taken by Viking or what," McEwen said. "The people at Google need to document what the heck they're doing. Egyptian Ideas of the Afterlife

In his scholarly book, "Egyptian Ideas of the Afterlife, British Egyptologist E.A. Wallis Budge said that the ancient Egyptians were preoccupied with life beyond the grave and that over thousands of years ancient Egyptians had a wealth of ideas and beliefs concerning immortality, the afterlife, the God Almighty, resurrection and immortality. Electrogravitic Propulsion Systems

Thomas Townsend Brown is the most prominent early figure in the recovery of actual data regarding electrogravitic propulsion systems in the United States. Many historians trace the source of the work to Nikola Tesla his role model and inspiration. Al-Qaida Could Have Nuclear Bomb

U.S. intelligence Chief James Clapper says terrorism is the top national security threat facing the U.S. homeland, and its allies. Al-Qaida has the time, materials and talent to assemble radioactive "dirty bombs, according to leaked documents obtained by the London Telegraph newspaper.

The cables, released on the WikiLeaks website, reveal that NATO security chief's briefed leaders in 2009 that al-Qaida had an active unit assembling "dirty radioactive improvised explosive devices (IEDs) using rogue nuclear scientists.

The makeshift nuclear bombs, which could be used against soldiers fighting in Afghanistan or against cities of the West, would contaminate the surrounding area for years to come, the Telegraph reported. The security officials also told leaders that al-Qaida papers found convinced security officials that "greater advances" had been made in bio-terrorism than was previously feared. The leaked reports also gave examples of nuclear smuggling. One memo detailed how a freight train on the Kazakhstan-Russia border was found to be carrying weapons-grade material while a "small-time" dealer in Lisbon tried to sell radioactive plates stolen from Chernobyl, the Telegraph reported. Australia Department of Defence has ''lost'' its UFO Files

COULD there be any better fodder for Australia's conspiracy theorists? For decades, Defence officials dutifully investigated an unknown number of UFO sightings being reported all over the country. Intelligence officers attached to the Royal Australian Air Force checked the known movement of aircraft against reported sightings, and politely responded by mail to everyone who claimed they saw floating lights or flat saucers or streaking vapor trails. Some of the files were marked as classified.

Last year, the British government released a large part of its dossier on unidentified flying objects after significant pressure from freedom- of-information applicants. More than 4000 pages of Defence Ministry documents, detailing 800 reported encounters during the 1980s and 1990s were posted online.

Fairfax sought access to the Australian version. But the response was more surprising than what the files might have contained - the material has largely gone missing. The department spent two months searching its offices for files that would be captured by the Herald 's FOI application, which sought a ''schedule of records held by the Department of Defence which relate to unidentified flying objects''.

But in late May, the department's FOI assistant director, Natalie Carpenter, delivered a reply that seemed almost designed to set online chat rooms alight with conspiracy chatter.

The only file Defence was able to locate was titled ''Report on UFOs/Strange Occurrences and Phenomena in Woomera''; the others had been destroyed.

Argentina Air Force to Investigate UFOs

Diario Tandil Newspaper reports t he Argentinean Air Force has launched a commission to investigate the UFO phenomenon. Tandil has been in the news due to alleged "sightings of unidentified flying objects and may become the subject of investigations by this new commission? The brand new Comisin de Investigacin de Fenmenos Aeroespaciales, as it has been dubbed, will be formed by civilian personnel and experts from the Fuerza Area Argentina (FAA) whose mission shall be to "conduct a scientific study of aerospatial phenomena. Over many years, Tandil has been in the news due to alleged UFO sightings including photographs taken last year. Tandil has been mentioned more than once by UFO researchers. Many of them -- according to their theories and their personal truth -- state that the city is a "transit corridor for extraterrestrial flying objects. California Five Dimly Lit Lights

LAKEWOOD -- I looked up to see the stars on June 3, 2011, and straight overhead saw five large dimly illuminated lights in the shape of a V' heading in a SSE direction. The flying object flew a few hundred feet in altitude, moving at 60 mph, about the size of a 737. A helicopter was flying about half a mile away and that's the only sound I could hear. I could just see the lights and it was very dimly lit, so the sighting was only about 15 seconds long. I live about 25 miles from LAX and about 10 miles from LGB. This object was nothing close to anything I've ever seen. I lost sight of it due to its dimming quickly. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Colorado Triangle Photo

Fort Collins -- My Family and I were having a very late Christmas celebration and went outside to take some photos of the kids by a snow fort on February 9, 2009. My sister in law and my brother pointed at something they thought might be a hang glider. I saw it in the western distance and took a few close-up photos of it. I do recall that it seemed to be flashing from underneath but I didn't photograph any light coming from it. It actually seemed to be rotating. I used my binoculars to see a covering of octagonal bumps like you find of the shell of a sand turtle. In the last photo you can enlarge it and see the stripe at a horizontal angle. Colorado Blue & White flashing UFO

Englewood -- My buddy and I were driving east bound on highway 285 near Simms St on May 27, 2011, at 11:26 PM. My buddy noticed a weird object hovering about 125 feet off the ground. It was a long cigar shaped object flashing white lights, then blue lights, and white. It would shoot up and down at rates of speed no human structure could ever pull off, then it would shot right really fast and up and down. At the end of the sighting it zipped from around Simms St. West towards the mountains, west about 3-4 miles away in about 3 seconds flat. Westminster -- I saw a small white orb moving north, at 5:45 PM on June 7, 2011, from a position near the moon. I took some photos which I have attached. The photo was enlarged.

Note: The photos were taken with a Kodak Cx7530 Zoom Digital Camera with a maximum resolution of 5 million pixels. The photos sent by the witness appear to have been "cropped." I have written to the witness to obtain the original photos. Updates will be posted. The orb was not a weather balloon because the local weather balloon wouldn't have been launched until 6 PM MDT. Also the orb was not drifting with the wind because the lower level winds were in the opposite direction. Therefore the orb would not have been any type of balloon or unpowered flotation device.

Florida Maneuvering UFO and Six Red Lights

PENSACOLA -- I have video of an object on security tape taken June 3, 2011. Don't know what it is and don't claim it to be from another world. You can review the video and make your own determinations. I'm curious for an explanation of what the camera caught. I just observed this transparent object and pressed the record button and noticed the object on the camera monitor... Six reddish-orange glowing balls of light were seen in the skies on New Year's Eve 2011. They were jumping spontaneously and would re-align back in formation. Have very clear video evidence, very interesting with no logical explanation.

Illinois Rectangle with Square Lighted Windows

BEMENT -- My sister and I were outside jumping on our trampoline. It was beginning to turn dark. I had just seen a plane go by in the same direction, and then I turned my head toward my house. The next thing I knew when I turned back, a turquoise glowing cigar-shaped object with diamond-shaped dark yellow-orange sparks emitting from its rear traveled at a remarkable speed at a 45 degree angle downward, in the direction of a nearby cornfield.

From what I saw, this thing appeared to be crashing. I lost sight of it as it moved behind a tree heading straight downwards, and did not have smoke or a visible fuse. Plus, the cigar split into two equal cigars with very little distance between them. I have a graphic design program on my computer, so I will try to recreate the object for you. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Highland Park -- I live a block away from Lake Michigan shoreline and around 10:30 pm on May 17, 2011, I saw the shape of the windows leads me to believe that it probably had the shape of a rectangle with four lit up incandescent rectangular windows. It was not moving and as I approached my house I lost sight of it because my home is at the bottom of a small hill and the trees blocked my vision... Kentucky Disc

Bowling Green -- On May 22, 2011, I took some photos and later when I looked through my pictures I noticed this possible UFO. I don't recall seeing anything in the sky that day. Louisville— On June 3, 2011, 11 PM, this was reported to 911 and Fox 41 News We live near the airport; but what we saw was not normal behavior for aircraft. My seven year old child and I saw what appeared to be an orange color hot air balloon like the moon when it appears close to earth? We literally saw flames just like on a hot air balloon but it was much too large to be a balloon. It moved at a steady pace toward the river far too quickly and steadily to be a balloon. It just glowed steadily with what looked to be flames on the bottom of it.

Note: Skies were mostly cloudy at 20,000 feet at the time of the sighting. Winds were from the southeast at 5 MPH. The winds aloft were from the south to southwest in the lower 5,000 feet of the atmosphere. If the object was at or below this height, then it would have been moving with the wind. Walkersville -- I was sitting on my deck facing south about 1/2 mile from Route 15 north of Frederick. I noticed a bright light move above the tree line, and then it went back down again, until I couldn't see it. A friend of mine in Thurmont MD could see it as well. I snapped a picture with my iPhone camera, and ran to get my digital camera, and filmed about 41 seconds of it. It appeared a few more times, and then didn't come back anymore. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Missouri Multiple Color UFO's

St. Joseph -- My dad and I were looking at the stars laying on the ground on May 31, 2011, when we saw a circle shaped UFO travelling at a high rate of speed. It was circle shaped and was blinking from red to green to white. It moved across the sky very fast and changed directions. We saw a total of four crafts that were all similar in their blinking colors. We are not sure it's a UFO but everything it did was the same as the from NASA website videos describing UFOs. Ohio Lights

NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- We were at the Autorama Drive-in theatre on May 21, 2011, around the beginning of the movie we saw five or six round lights appear to the right of the movie screen. They all seemed to float together staying about the same distance apart and flew behind the movie screen, then to the left of it. They stopped and slowly faded to small lights, then nothing. You could hear other people saying things like "what are those strange lights?" from other cars. I checked on face book and the newspapers the next day to see if anyone reported it, and apparently not. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oklahoma Large red elliptical shapes

It was about 11:10 PM, on June 4,-2011, when my wife took the dog out and came back in demanding that I get up and come to see "something wrong with the sky". She pointed at numerous large red elliptical shaped objects moving north at the speed of a slow moving helicopter. These objects were red in color, with a constant red glow. The objects all moved at the same rate of speed, same direction and at the same altitude staying in formation. When these objects came to a point in the sky, the lights would turn off. I could make out an outline of a rectangular like shape briefly before it was obscured by trees. I know Memorial Drive is a common approach land mark for planes flying into TIA however, these were not planes. There was absolutely no noise coming from there 25 or so lights. Puerto Rico UFO Witnessed Over Ramey Air Force Base

RAMEY AFB -- During the Cuban Missile Crisis, our B-52's, KC 135's, and U2 planes formed a net around Cuba in the air, and the navy controlled the seas. Transport troop carriers were parked on the taxi-way ready for drop on missile sites in Cuba.

At 5:30 am, while waiting for relief on the taxi way, I noticed off in the distance over the Caribbean Sea an unusual cloud, with flashing lights within it. My canine flight and I watched and radioed each other to try to figure out what it was, because the trajectory of the cloud was headed towards the no fly zone. The relief arrived, and we were picked up and driven across the active runway, still watching the object headed towards the parked B-52's alert area.

When we arrived at the armory within the restricted area, the cloud was there. It was drifting thirty feet above the ground, approximately 6 feet thick and 30 ft in diameter. Dark swirls of clouds and lights swirled around the object. The only thing that was visible was the lights spinning inside the dark swirling cloud like a carousel that were green, orange, yellow and blue. Our entire alert crew came out of the mole hole to watch. There were many mechanics, other flight crews and airmen observing as well. The object passed us and headed towards the U2 hanger, which was strictly off limits. My only concern was that nobody shot at whatever this object was. We all had our firearms, standing there watching it until it disappeared.

Tennessee Triangle

Nashville -- I took this photo at the corner of Riverside Drive and Eastland Avenue at 9:44 PM, on June 5, 2011, with my HTC Thunderbolt Phone camera. There was a large triangular form with lights at each point. It appeared to be massive, over a football field in size. It also appeared to be over the river or close to it. It gained altitude while rotating clockwise and the "faded out" while heading NW. The rear lights faded before the front one.

My wife and I were driving home when wife points to the left over some trees at these three lights. We stopped and I got out my phone and took the photo I realized that at least seven cars had stopped and were watching. It lasted three minutes from when we first spotted it. Texas Disc

FORT WORTH -- I went outside after the storm on May 24, 2011, and took several pictures with my cell phone but did not see anything strange other than the cloud formation. Two days later I was going over my photos and I saw this spot on the phone and that's when I noticed this object I would hope someone would come and investigate and tell what they think. SAN ANTONIO -- A UFO was caught on camera on May 22, 2011, at 8:15 PM, at the Drury Hotel where I am looking southeast on the 23rd floor.

I am using a tripod a Canon 30D Camera with an 18-55 mm Canon lens that I have balanced on a window ledge facing the southeast (through glass).

When I first set up I noticed the florescent lighting in the room was bouncing off the glass and right into my lens. The hotel had adjustable curtain/shades that are normally used to hide the morning sunlight. I pulled that same curtain/shade over my head and blocked out all of the fluorescent lighting and glare from the room. Virginia Moon Object

NEWPORT NEWS -- The date and time are pretty much forgotten, but that information will be in the picture data. I was trying to take a photo of the moon, using a Nikon D60 Gold Edition 10 megapixel camera. As I didn't want to shake or jar the camera, I used the timer button to take the picture so my button pushing wouldn't shake the camera.

I had it on manual setting, except for focus, so I had a longer shutter opening than normal. I stood next to the camera as it did its job, watching the sky, the moon, etc. I only saw the moon. I had no idea that a strange spot of blue light was in the picture until I loaded it into my computer and zoomed in. Oddly, when the object is magnified, it seems to take on the shape similar to the space ship that was wrecked at the beginning of the movie "Alien"... Thanks to MUFON CMS

Washington Flying Object

Seabeck -- On June 2, 2011, at 10 PM, I took the video on my cell phone I have seen ball lightning before around Mt Rainier and the Olympic Mountains, but it didn't look like that. The light was coming from the direction of Bangor Submarine Base. It had shape to it. A jellyfish shaped light was coming from it. A half hour later a few large planes passed through that area of the sky. It looked like it might be some electromagnetic phenomena. I don't think a solid craft would fly that sporadic.

Ufo Sighted Over Tasmania for Days

Mayfield -- Brendon Hill first saw the flashing lights on May 30, 2011, at night from his backyard balcony at Riverside. He then witnessed the same lights on Saturday night. "On Thursday I dragged my three mates outside to show them and they were bewildered - none of them could describe what they saw or could come up with an explanation of what it was," Mr Hill said.

Mr Hill looked at the site of the flashing lights through his binoculars the next day and said he could not see anything that would generate the same pulsing light. "There are no buildings or towers in that area that could generate that much light - it was very strange how I couldn't see anything during the day," he said.

On Saturday about 9 PM, Mr Hill saw the flashing lights again and this time caught them on his video camera. "It made my hair stand up on my neck," he said. "It seems so inhuman, it doesn't resemble anything I have seen before and after seeing it with my own eyes it feels very spooky."

A Bureau of Meteorology Launceston spokesman said no sightings of Mr Hill's description were reported to the office. However, there were reports of the Aurora Australis - or southern lights - which sends bright green and red lights flashing across the sky. "The Aurora is more of a swirling, wave-like look across the whole sky: it does not sound like his description," the spokesman said. Mr Hill said he had no reason to believe it was anything man-made.

"I don't mind if it turns out to be something really boring because it would put my mind at ease," he said. "It's annoying not knowing what it was. Bangladesh Disc Shaped Cloud

Dhaka -- Hoping for a tempting breeze, I went up to the terrace alone to the 5^th Floor of my cousin's house and noticed a small disc shaped cloud with a light green lining hovering there in a particular diagonal path across the night sky at 9:20 PM, on May 4, 2011.

As I was roaming around I noticed the light flew around and above. A clump of cloud seemed to be following me. First, I thought I was out of my mind; I even knocked my head and cleansed my eyes. I looked even more closely and it was REAL!! The so called "clump of cloud"/UFO was hovering here and there moving DIAGONALLY, and sometimes in ZIGZAG patterns.

I looked around thinking it was some kind of laser show, but there was none. The whole colony was shrouded in black. The "UFO cloud" was really faint and had some kind of a light fluorescent green lining across its body, rather than a silvery one. After observing it for more than 20 minutes, I was sure that I hadn't lost my senses. I called upon my cousin, and my little brother. It scared the lights out of them. My Dad and some curious neighbors came out and were startled to see a UFO flying like that.

He called the BSS (National News Agency) and informed them about the sighting. Suddenly, after around 30 minutes or so, it vanished into thin air. Then again it appeared out of the blue, and disappeared into the dark shrouds of the clouds above. We were left startled....

Canada Marina in Pilot Butte

Saskatchewan` -- The first night the object looked like a scalloped wing, high against the stars on August 11/12, 1997, from 11 PM, to 12:18 AM. It was much bigger than a jet plane at a high altitude and made no sound. The second night I was alone in my back yard. I spotted a flock of black birds, but this huge object sailed over my head so low I could have thrown a rock at it. It was a pale gold/silver colors just a huge wing with protuberances all over it. They looked like upturned loaf tins, about 18 inches long by about 10 inches, very smooth and no corners. It hovered over my head for several seconds, then moved about 30 feet away, then like a flash it was gone at an incredible speed.

The next day, I measured distances in my yard and figured that it was about 25 feet long by 90 feet wide. I contacted the authorities who denied any knowledge of the craft. The next day, up on a Northern Reserve a farmer found a crop circle in a field.
A few days later my red flowers had a strict demarcation line and one half was green and the other red, or one was red and yellow. My purple petunias got white flecks and white streaks. Nobody could give me a reason for the change to my plants. Thanks to MUFON Thanks to MUFON CMS

Israel Big Red Light in the Sky

Tel Aviv -- We saw a big red light in the skyline on May 23, 2011, that was bright and shiny. After a few seconds it started to fade out, but it wasn't a flare or some kind of fireworks for sure. Then it suddenly showed again the other side of the skyline again in red bright color and disappeared.

FLORENCE -- I saw six bright flaming orange-red balls on May 31, 2011, floating west over the hills of San Minato at 12:15 AM. Sweden Triangular Shaped Formation of Bright Yellow Dots

Lule -- These two triangle shape craft passed at a rather high altitude above a nearby forest on May 21, 2011, at 6 PM... The sun was a bit dimmed and I think this is the main reason we were able to see these craft since they didn't have much of a distinct shape, but about eight lights created this triangular shape.

West of Hucknall, Nottingham -- Lee Clements states, "I was sitting in my back garden looking towards the moon at 9:15 PM, on June 7, 2011, when I noticed what appeared to be a small static black object in the sky. After observing the object for several minutes I became more curious because it wasn't moving. At this point I looked at the object through my binoculars at double delta shaped object, black in color and sitting upright like a Christmas tree. The object was rotating clockwise at a constant speed. When observed with the naked eye the object appeared to fade in and out of view, but after viewing the object through my binoculars it became clear that this effect was being caused by the rotation of the object because the shape of it was wider than it was thick. This object was also observed by my wife and son who were just as bemused as I was as to the nature of this object. BELIEVING OR NOT BELIEVING IN UFO’S: THAT’S THE QUESTION.

1.    Voorwoord.

Er bestaan UFO-onderzoekers, die “geloven” dat alle Ufomeldingen het resultaat zijn van het creatieve brein of de verbeelding van de waarnemers. Dit zijn de sceptici of nonbelievers. Als zij over ufo’s praten, dan denken ze bij voorbaat dat alle ufo’s hallucinaties, zinsbegoochelingen, misinterpretaties, trucages, vervalsingen, ed. van doodgewone, aardse origine zijn. Andere onderzoekers daarentegen geloven dat alle ufo’s “nuts and bolts”- toestellen zijn; namelijk buitenaardse ruimtetuigen, bestuurd door aliën wezens. Dit zijn dan weer de believers.

De waarheid ligt ergens in het midden. Waarschijnlijk gelden beide theorieën juist voor een deel van alle meldingen, maar geen van beide geldt voor de totaliteit van het fenomeen. Wat mij betreft, ik ben er van overtuigd dat wat de vele verklaringen voor het gehele ufo-verschijnsel ook mogen zijn, het heel belangrijk is hoe onze geest omgaat met de echte, onverklaarbare ufo’s… Je mag er hoedanook zeker van zijn dat er meerdere oplossingen voor het complexe ufofenomeen bestaan, zo dat elk zijn waarheid heeft. Iedereen probeert immers dit vreemd verschijnsel in te bouwen in zijn eigen referentiekader, zijn eigen ervarings- en leefwereld. Op deze wijze probeert hij/zij een voor hun aanvaardbare en logische verklaring te vinden, zonder dat hun eigen visie en levensingesteldheid in gevaar komt.

Toch blijf ik als kritisch, neutraal en objectief onderzoeker ervan overtuigd dat een aantal, specifieke ufomeldingen het resultaat zijn van een extern gebeuren buiten de wil van de mensheid om, zeker niet altijd een product van de geest, maar iets dat je werkelijk kan aanraken, kan voelen, dus iets tastbaars… Hoe we deze gebeurtenissen interpreteren bepaalt de verscheidenheid aan voorgedragen verklaringen. Zo geloof ik dat je het ufo-verschijnsel beter kan plaatsen bij de paranormale wetenschappen en andere esoterische, aanverwanten fenomenen; het is ook beter om ze op deze wijze bestuderen los van de experimentele methodologie, die gebruikt wordt voor de exacte wetenschappen. Ufologie is verre van een exacte wetenschap; volgens de sceptici is het zelfs geen wetenschap!

2.    Voorstelling.

IK vraag mij af of wij, ufo-onderzoekers, ongeacht onze visie, wel weten wat we juist doen, wat we onderzoeken en waar we bezig mee zijn en vooral welk resultaat wij willen bekomen. Beeld je even volgende situatie in, waar een getuige een onderzoeker zijn waarneming van “iets” vreemds beschrijft. Enkel door die waarneming concreet en eenvoudig voor te stellen, en enkel om die redenen alleen, nemen sommigen van ons aan dat ufo’s ruimteschepen van andere werelden zijn. Ik zoek een gemakkelijkere manier om een “buitengewone” herkomst van ufo’s te beschrijven en dat vooral om mijn gedachtengang beter te kunnen stroomlijnen…

Stel je even voor dat de ufoloog die deze melding onderzoekt en na analyse van de karakteristieken van deze vreemde melding besluit dat deze waarneming naar de buitenaardse of misschien wel de paranormale oorsprong van ufo’s verwijst. Wat hebben we dan? Gewoon maar één persoon meer, die in een buitengewone herkomst van ufo’s gelooft! Met een wereldbevolking van 6 miljard aardbewoners, blijft het nog een hele klus om meer mensen op een efficiënte wijze te overtuigen van “jouw” waarheid over ufo’s. We hebben gewoon meer nodig dan een concrete beschrijving om andere mensen van het bestaan van ufo’s te overtuigen! Wat? We hebben concrete, tastbare bewijzen nodig om aan iedereen op een succesvolle wijze te presenteren en hen zo te overtuigen van de echtheid van het ufoverschijnsel.

Overweeg even een tweede situatie, waarin een getuige jou een waarneming meldt, waarbij hij een ruimteschip zag en aliën wezens ontmoette. Laat ons even overdrijven en onszelf het beste bewijsmateriaal geven dat mogelijk is. Je beschikt over een video-opname van 10 uur van deze ontmoeting: visuele beelden en een audio-opname van een gesprek tussen de getuige en de aliëns en jezelf. De aliëns gaven informatie vrij, die nagecheckt en geverifieerd  kan worden in de vele archieven in de musea, verspreid over de wereld. Verder beschik je ook nog over een reeks foto’s van de aliëns en hun ruimteschip. In de videobeelden vind je fragmenten terug waaruit op ondubbelzinnige wijze blijkt dat deze niet-aardse wezens niet-menselijke activiteiten verrichtten… Je beschikt tevens over magnetometingen, die duidelijk aantonen dat op het tijdstip van de ufomelding (= het verschijnen van het buitenaardse ruimteschip) zich sterke storingen voordeden in het magnetisch veld. Positieve signalen op een draagbare radar, film en warmte invloeden bevestigen eveneens deze gebeurtenis. En last but not least beschik je nog over een paar nog werkende onderdelen van het aandrijvingsmechanisme van het ruimteschip; de getuige als gift aangeboden door de aliëns!

WOW! En wat nu! Deze melding klinkt als muziek in de oren; dat is het soort bewijs, waarvan elke onderzoeker – believer, neutrale onderzoeker en nonbeliever – droomt… Dit is het ideaal bewijsmateriaal dat we nodig hebben on op onweerlegbare manier de echtheid van ufo’s aan te tonen, in de betekenis van buitenaardse ruimteschepen dan. Als je zo’n bewijzen kon verzamelen, dan is je broodje gebakken, niet alleen binnen de ufowereld, maar ook ver daar buiten. Je collega’s zouden naar jou opkijken en je prijzen voor jouw groot werk. Zelfs de wetenschap zou je roemen met het resultaat van jouw onderzoek, omdat je één van de grootste mysteries op aarde oploste. Je kan boeken schrijven, lezingen geven, uitnodigingen voor tv-optreden en zelfs filmvoorstellen verwachten en aanvaarden… Vergeet het, want denk je echt dat alles zo een sneltreinvaart zou volgen? Denk je echt dat actueel dergelijke positieve reacties zouden volgen op jouw uniek onderzoeksresultaat, indien je dergelijk bewijsmateriaal aan de wereld zou leveren? Utopia, ja..

3.    Wordt bewijs zomaar aanvaard?

Eerst en vooral dien je op te tornen tegen de eindeloze tweestrijd tussen de verschillende onderzoekers en hun tegengestelde standpunten onderling, of het nu de conventionele, seculiere onderzoekers zijn of de onderzoekers van esoterische wetenschappen. Ze zouden onmiddellijk jouw methodologie, jouw werkwijze, jouw integriteit en tevens jouw eerlijkheid in vraag stellen. Zoek jij geen media-aandacht, mannetje? Of erkenning? Of misschien we financieel winstbejag? Ten tweede, eens je het bewijsmateriaal verspreidde over een groter publiek, mag je je eraan verwachten dat je de rest van je leven jezelf zou moeten verdedigen tegen beschuldigingen van vervalsingen, van fraude, van trucages, van leugens. Opgepast, deze beschuldigingen zouden niet alleen geuit worden door het wetenschappelijk, materialistisch establishment, wiens instituten actueel een strijdbare houding aannemen tegen alle uitdagingen, die de actuele wetenschappelijke axioma’s en dogma’s in gevaar brengen, te bestempelen als larie en apekool… Ze zouden er alles aandoen om jou te verhinderen om jouw bevindingen te publiceren in “hun” wetenschappelijke tijdschriften. Ook de media zouden onder impuls van het establishment hun uiterste best doen om jouw te breken; om jou als ongeloofwaardig en onbetrouwbaar af te schilderen en zelfs belachelijk te maken…

Bijkomend zou jij als onderzoeker zeker geconfronteerd worden met de “expertises” van de zogenaamde collega-onderzoekers, die wel artikels, boeken schrijven; uren voor hun PC zitten om het internet af te schuimen, maar veldonderzoek laat hen koud of géén tijd daarvoor… Samen met bepaalde wetenschappers zoeken ze naar een drogreden, een minuscuul detailtje in de getuigenis om jouw onderzoek om jouw bewijskracht onder uit te halen. Fel overdreven vind je? Zo zouden ze zeggen gezien de getuige toevallig een paar pintjes gedronken had  op een feestje of dat hij een bepaald medicijn slikte voor een griepje, dat hij niet helder van geest was en hallucineerde. De videobeelden en de foto’s waren maar trucages en vervalsingen… Ze zouden verklaren dat je deze getuige, verslaafd aan alcohol, een alcoholist dus of een verslaafde aan medicijnen, toch niet ernstig kan nemen, gezien zijn waarnemingsvermogen niet 100% was, misschien waren het wel waanbeelden. Stel je slechts één vraagje, zou een rechter indien deze persoon getuige was van een moord of een auto-ongeluk zijn getuigenis ernstig nemen en geloven?

Deze redenering om aan te tonen op welk niveau de ufologie en de andere esoterische wetenschappen zich bevinden en tegen welke hypocrisie van de gevestigde, dogmatische waarden ze dienen op te boksen. Je kan er behoorlijk zeker van zijn dat voor hen alle actueel onderzochte en opgeslagen informatie over ufomeldingen onvoldoende bewijskracht bezitten om hen, of om een groot deel van het publiek en of de media te overtuigen van de echtheid van het ufofenomeen. Hun acties om de ufologie en aanverwante wetenschappen belachelijk te maken, heeft zijn doel wel bereikt ten opzichte van de “grote massa”… Bestaan er dan niet genoeg authentieke, echte en betrouwbare radarbeelden, foto’s, film- en video-opnames van ufowaarnemingen? Wat doe je met de eindconclusies van de vele internationale, officiële werkgropen, zoals GEPAN? BLUE BOOK, CONDON, MOD, ed.? Ondanks de actueel massa opgeslagen data over ufo’s  slagen de ufologen er niet in om het scepticisme bij een aantal onderzoekers (= nonbelievers) en bij een aantal wetenschappers weg te nemen. Het ontkenningsproces evolueert gewoon verder… Het seculier, wetenschappelijk establishment zet zijn strijd tegen alle items, die hun “belief in hun axioma’s, leerstellingen en dogma’s” in gevaar brengen.  Het gezegde “Wat baat den uil een bril, als hij niet zien en wil” is hier zeker van toepassing…

4.    Wat verstaan we onder wetenschap?

Wat is wetenschap eigenlijk? Wetenschap is niet meer of niet minder dan een manier om dingen, activiteiten, gebeurtenissen, ed. te meten en door een vooraf opgezette “filter” te jagen om de echtheid te testen en te bevestigen. Stel dat je een man vol zand- en rots korrels van verschillende dikte hebt. Op de bodem van die mand bevindt zich een filter, die sommige korrels doorlaat en anderen tegenhoudt. In analogie met de wetenschap manier van denken en  hun methodologie, bepaal je vooraf dat korrels groter dan 1 mm vals zijn en dat al diegenen, die kleiner zijn, echt zijn. Ze zetten dus een filter in van 1 mm, laten de “echte zand- en rotskorrels” door en schakelen de valse en de frauduleuze uit. Maar wij hadden toch ALLEMAAL zand- en rotskorrels, niet? Een te eenvoudige manier van denken?

Het probleem is dat de wetenschap bepaalt dat er geen aangepaste filter voor de omschrijving, de  “afmeting” van  ufo’s bestaat. De sceptici en nonbelievers volgen dezelfde filter, hetzelfde denkpatroon. De filter is totaal gesloten en dus kunnen volgens hen ufo’s niet echt bestaan! In vroegere en naïeve dagen van de ufologie en nog steeds bij bepaalde believers, zetten deze ufo-onderzoekers de filter totaal open: ALLE UFOMELDINGEN WAREN (ZIJN) ECHT! Als bleek dat een aantal ufomeldingen trucages, vervalsingen, misinterpretaties en illusies bleken te zijn, was de hilariteit groot in de media om zo’n lichtgelovigheid en amateurisme… Door deze “onkunde” was het een gemakkelijke klus om alle onderzoek onderuit te halen en de studie van ufo’s in het belachelijke te trekken. Gevolg was / is dat het wetenschappelijk establishment nog meer afstand nam / neemt van de ufologie uit angst om eveneens belachelijk en onprofessioneel over te komen. Laat ons niet vergeten dat het wetenschappelijk onderzoek vaak afhangt van financiële sponsering en dat een goede naam en faam héél belangrijk is om die fondsen te verwerven.

5.    Een oplossing?

Een oplossing zou volgens mij kunnen zijn dat we een soort “filter” uitbouwen, waardoor we alle fraudes, vervalsingen, vergissingen, misinterpretaties, ed. kunnen uitsluiten bij een melding. Hoe? Ik denk dat wij om een goede, zuivere en correcte filter te bouwen, nauwer samen dienen te werken met de getuigen zelf en dit op een open-minded basis. We kunnen enkel de waarheid achterhalen als wij de getuige de kans geven om te bewijzen wat echt is “in zijn eigen woorden”. Dit vertrouwen dat wij aan de getuige schenken, impliceert dat hij ons iets teruggeeft. Hij geeft ons het recht om zijn bevindingen, zijn verklaringen te onderzoeken, te toetsen aan soortgelijke cases en te analyseren om zo aan te tonen wat echt is, wat foutief is en wat confabulatie (= Het vertellen van verzonnen gebeurtenissen of overdrijving van echte gebeurtenissen. Een risico bij mensen die door een noodsituatie in paniek zijn geraakt) of zelf frauduleus of vals is. Het laat ons toe om alle mogelijke karakteristieken en parameters van een ufomelding terug te vinden en te reconstrueren. Hier verschilt de werkwijze van ons onderzoek grondig met de wetenschappelijke methodologie. De wetenschap zegt “ Ik zet hier een slagboom, ik bepaal de grens en indien je er door geraakt, dan pas zal ik jou geloven.” Als het over ufo’s gaat, bepalen ze testen zonder rekening te houden met de redelijkheid en de haalbaarheid. Zo vragen ze bijvoorbeeld het recht, de mogelijkheid om de gerapporteerd ufomeldingen vooraf te voorspellen en te reproduceren in experimentele vorm… Voor spontane paranormale verschijnselen, zoals klopgeesten, ed en zoals ufo’s, is deze situatie niet realiseerbaar. Dat is één van de hoofdredenen, waarom de wetenschap ufo’s en andere esoterische verschijnselen formeel verwerpt en ontkent.

Deze  benadering gebruik ik om aan te tonen dat  het seculier en materialistisch wetenschappelijk establishment actueel faalt om alle aspecten van de ons omringende wereld te verklaren met al hun axioma’s, hun dogma’s en hun terminologie… Door het vooraf verwerpen, negeren en ontkennen van degelijke data en / of bewijs uit de para-wetenschappen, het bestaan van de echtheid van dergelijke vreemde fenomenen, onthoudt de wetenschap zich van de mogelijk om vitale kennis te verwerven.

6.    Onze opdracht?

Wat kunnen wij, ufo-onderzoekers, hier verder aan verhelpen? Wij dienen bewijsmateriaal van alle ufomeldingen te verzamelen, niet alleen wat er gebeurde, maar ook onder welke omstandigheden ze zich manifesteerden. We dienen zoveel mogelijke factoren en karakteristieken van de waarneming te verzamelen en op te slaan. Dit proces kan evenzeer inhouden dat wij de getuige de mogelijkheid bieden om bepaalde aspecten van zijn waarneming te bewijzen, indien het fenomeen zo werkt. Daarna zoeken we relaties of overeenkomsten met zoveel mogelijk ander bewijsmateriaal of soortgelijke gebeurtenissen. Door gelijkenissen of raakvlakken met andere vreemde waarnemingen of paranormale fenomenen of natuurverschijnselen te zoeken, kan je al snel specifieke oplossingen en/of verklaringen vinden of uitsluiten. Door deze methode van deductie kom je uiteindelijk bij een plausibele, aanvaardbare verklaring, eventueel dat het om een echte “ufo” gaat. Voor specifieke cases kan je “het scheermes van OCKHAM” gebruiken om een verklaring te vinden. Het scheermes van Ockham is een term die je vaak terugvindt bij de wetenschap. Het gaat erom dat wanneer een bepaald iets, zoals een fenomeen, een  verschijnsel of een ufo, moet worden verklaard, dat je steeds moet trachten de meest economische of zuinige verklaring te vinden. Dit is meestal de verklaring die het dichts aansluit bij de reeds bestaande wetenschappelijke kennis, bijvoorbeeld uit de natuurkunde, de scheikunde, de evolutietheorie, de meteorologie, ed.…
Je hoort het ook wel eens het “spaarzaamheidsbeginsel” noemen. Dit betekent echter niet dat een eenvoudige verklaring beter is dan een meer complexe. Dan zou je immers aanvaarden dat het creationisme voor het ontstaan van de aarde een eenvoudiger en dus betere verklaring zou zijn dan de mechanismen zoals bekend uit de evolutietheorie van Darwin. Het gaat erom dat je de meeste geloofwaardige (op basis van de kennis die we nu hebben) verkiest bovenop een buitenissige, die vaak heel wat veronderstellingen vergt. De term is gebaseerd op de uitspraak “Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate” (“Men hoeft geen zaken toe te voegen zonder noodzaak”) van de Engelse filosoof (en Franciscaan) William of Ockham.
Het is evident dat ufologen enkel in hun opzet kunnen slagen om alle data en factoren van een melding te verzamelen, indien de getuigen bereid zijn  om in volle vertrouwen en in partnership samen te werken met de onderzoeker(s). De getuigen brengen ons een bron van gegevens bij; wij de bereidheid om deze gegevens na analyse in een wereldwijde databank (vb MUFON-databank) op te slaan. Het vergelijken van deze data kan ons toelaten om de puzzel van het ufofenomeen uiteindelijk op te lossen. De conventionele wetenschap heeft de moeilijke opdracht om een aantal compromissen te sluiten. Eén van hun wetten, dat elk experiment door iedereen met dezelfde uitrusting onder dezelfde omstandigheden dient te kunnen nagebootst te worden met hetzelfde vooraf bepaald resultaat, kan je noch op de parawetenschappen, noch op ufologie of andere esoterische items toepassen. Zo tonen studies van de parawetenschappen aan dat de geestestoestand van de onderzoeker en de getuige een onvervalste parameter vormt voor het spontaan optreden van specifieke verschijnselen. Om deze bewering een kans te geven zichzelf te bevestigen, daar we alle factoren van deze specifieke verschijnselen nog niet kennen, verplichten ons om open-minded te werken. Indien je als onderzoeker dergelijke openheid en vertrouwen schenkt aan de getuigen, mag je je aan de nodige kritiek verwachten van de media, van bepaalde ufo-onderzoekers en zeker van de wetenschappelijke wereld.

7.    Besluit.

Ik besef dat deze denkpiste een stap is op glad ijs, maar na meer dan 60 jaar staan we nog niet verder in het zoeken naar een degelijke oplossing voor het ufo-raadsel. De te volgen procedure en methodologie hangt volledig af van het wederzijds begrip en vertrouwen tussen onderzoeker(s) en getuigen. Begin je aan je onderzoek met een voorafgaande ontkenning en negering van de echtheid van sommige ufomeldingen, dan werk je in de optiek “ ALLE MELDINGEN ZIJN VERKLAARBAAR”. Je staat niet meer open voor de wereld rondom jou, maar staart je blind op axioma’s, definities, dogma’s… Niet alle meldingen zijn ufo’s, maar niet alle ufo’s zijn natuurverschijnselen, illusies, trucages, hoaxes, ed.

Bestaat er volgens jou, net zoals bij de visie van de seculiere, materialistische  wetenschap en de sceptici, echt niets meer tussen aarde en hemel dan we zien,  dan we denken? Vaak is het een kwestie van ergens in te geloven, ergens op te hopen, om tot een positief resultaat te komen. “SEEING IS BELIEVING”, deze uitdrukking is perfect van toepassing op de ufologie en andere esoterische en aanverwante fenomenen. In afwachting kan enkel een gezonde en positieve samenwerking met de getuigen van ufo’s en andere vreemde verschijnselen ons op de weg naar de waarheid leiden..

I frankly cannot remember the last time a “UFO” book was published that received as much attention as did the publication in May of Annie Jacobsen’s “Area 51: An Uncensored History of America’s TOP SECRET Military Base”. The book is a big one at 523 pages and was published by Little, Brown and Company. The last 133 pages are notes. I am listed as one of 45 secondary interviews along with investigative Journalist George Knapp, Norio Hayakawa and Robert Lazar. Strangely, what has received the most attention, despite the title, is the claim of a totally new explanation for the Roswell Incident.

There have, of course, been several official Roswell explanations put forth by the government, including a ”flying Saucer”; a weather balloon radar reflector combination; a Mogul balloon train and my favorite, to explain reports of alien bodies: Crash test dummies dropped all over New Mexico. Of course, none were dropped before 1953 and all were 6’ tall and weighed 175 pounds and were in USAF pilot uniforms. Unfortunately, this ridiculous explanation was uncritically accepted by the New York Times which also carried a favorable review of the new book.In stark contrast the Washington Post of June 3 carried a scathing review. As the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident, I have been convinced, based on my own very extensive research, and on that of other serious investigators such as Don Berliner (we co authored “Crash at Corona: The Definitive study of the Roswell Incident”), Don Schmitt and Tom Carey’s “Witness to Roswell” and Don Schmitt’s and Kevin Randle’s Roswell books as well as research by Dennis Balthaser, Dr. David Rudiak and others, that the explanation best fit by the evidence is an alien spacecraft. Of course, the debunker explanation is always “ABA” or “Anything But Alien”.

Annie, apparently only supported by an anonymous source who worked at Area 51 for many years, claims that in reality what was recovered was basically a hoax: a flying wing aircraft designed by the German aircraft designers brothers Walter and Reimar Horten.It was flown remotely somehow from Alaska containing 5 13 year old boys genetically modified by Dr. Josef Mengele (the Nazi angel of death at Auschwitz) by arrangement with Joseph Stalin. Stalin’s goal supposedly was to create a panic in the United States when this craft crashed, similar to what happened in response to the Orson Welles “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast in October 1938. People would interpret the deformed boys as aliens and there would be panic! Don’t laugh, she is very serious.

Anybody who recalls the radio broadcast knows it was presented as a live news broadcast in real time as people and buildings were supposedly being destroyed by strange Martian invaders. This was in New Jersey in one of the most densely populated areas of the USA. If the stories were believed, then there was certainly reason to panic. What could we do against such an attack? Of course, near Roswell there was no real time event, no reporters present, and no mention of killing or destruction. It was truly out in the boondocks. The Anonymous Source (AS) says the flying wing, with sort of a dome on top, was taken with the bodies, some of whom were alive, to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Then a special area was created in the Nevada desert to which the bodies and the craft were brought in 1951 because the guys in OHIO had been unable to determine how the vehicle worked. It was named area 51 because of the year!! No evidence was provided except the story by AS..

It should be noted that the Air Materiel Command under General Nathan Twining (who later became Chief of Staff of the Air Force and then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and was a member of the Majestic 12 group)had brought back literally tons of German Air Force research and development reports which they had translated. To say the least, it was very unlikely that the US couldn’t figure how the Horten Brothers flying Wing worked. It was made out of wood! Jack Northrop (with whom I spent some time years ago) had built flying wings and was the Godfather of the B-2. Annie says the craft could supposedly hover. It had 2 jet engines which would certainly have been noisy. Nobody has ever claimed the flying wings could hover. One could understand that Christopher Columbus in 1493 could not have back engineered a nuclear submarine.But nobody would have been fooled by a wooden flying wing.

I do recall that Joseph P. Farrell had a big book (“Roswell and the Reich: The Nazi Connection” -2010)claiming the Roswell saucer was advanced Nazi technology somehow shipped to Argentina and then flown to Roswell and the secrecy was because the USA did not want to admit that the Nazis were still going strong. One does have to ask, if the Nazis had perfected a truly advanced aircraft, why they didn’t use it in the war??

Nick Redfern’s “Body Snatchers in the Desert: The Horrible Truth at the Heart of the Roswell Mystery” (2005) claimed, again based on second hand information, that what crashed was really deformed experimental humans flying in a Japanese Fugo balloon carried aloft by a Horten brothers craft to perform radiation shielding experiments for the Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion program (on which I worked for 3 years)! The secrecy was because we didn’t want to admit, after Nuremberg, that we were doing such inhumane experiments! AS seems to have combined all this fiction in one grandiose scheme.

Annie mentions that Walter Haut, the PR man at Roswell, brought the press release about the crash to a Roswell radio station KGFL and the Roswell Daily Record on July 8, 1947, and that it also appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle the next day. For some reason she seems unaware of the fact that it also appeared on July 8 in many many evening papers from Chicago West. She then claims that three hours later she brought the new weather balloon press release to the station. That is nonsense. The 2nd press release was issued for General Roger Ramey, Chief of the 8th Air Force, based in Fort Worth, Texas.. a good ways from Roswell. She mentions that a statement by Walter testifying to seeing strange bodies was released after his death, but doesn’t reference the Carey/Schmitt book in which it appeared. She does mention “The Roswell Incident” by Berlitz and Moore, but none of the other books noted above. She does reference debunking books by Benson Saylor, Jim Oberg, Curtis Peeples.

She talks a lot about the CIA, but seems unaware that it was preceded by the Central Intelligence Group. Her lists include Blue Book Reports 1-12, which were progress reports, but doesn’t mention “Blue Book Special Report 14” which was comprehensive and included more than 220 charts, tables, graphs, and maps. She mentions the Congressional UFO Hearings of 1966, but not the much more comprehensive Hearings of 1968 with testimony from 12 scientists (including myself). She doesn’t mention Colonel Blanchard by name though he was the Roswell base commander and went on to be a 4 star General and vice chief of Staff of the USAF. She doesn’t mention Ramey’s chief of Staff, Thomas Jefferson Dubose. His testimony is included in a referenced DVD “Recollections of Roswell” with that of 26 other first hand Roswell witnesses. He and Ramey are in a widely circulated photo taken in Ramey’s office.

She also never mentions Air Force UFO consultant Dr. J. Allen Hynek. She doesn’t mention Dr. (Colonel) Jesse Marcel Junior or his testimony about the material he handled on July 7, 1947,which certainly wasn’t conventional or from a Horton Brothers flying wing. His father’s testimony (in our first conversation in 1978)made clear there was nothing conventional on the debris field. She claims that according to AS there was a ring on the craft with Cyrillic letters on it. If the purpose was to cause panic because of an alien invasion, why would there be Cyrillic symbols? Did Stalin really think there were no Americans who could read Russian?

She falsely claims that Bill Moore and I just showed up in Roswell in 1978 and started asking questions there! We spent a great deal of time money and effort tracking down 62 witnesses (huge phone bills in those pre internet days) after I had talked to Major Marcel, the intelligence officer of the elite 509th.I had located Walter Haut, the Rancher’s son, William Brazel, Brazel’s neighbors, etc. etc. Haut had a base yearbook with loads of names and pictures.

So I am obviously very much bothered by her ignoring first hand testimony from dozens of people who handled wreckage and even flew with it to Texas or Ohio.

In a note on page 474 Annie briefly mentions a published story about Stalin in 1947 asking Sergei Korolyev (his top Rocket Designer) to review documents about flying saucers and Roswell(some obtained from spies at Los Alamos).. in secret and with the help of translators to see if the saucers were a threat. Why in the world would Stalin have asked his top designer to waste his time if he had already known that the Roswell saucer was of Nazi/Soviet origin?? Details are given in “Crash at Corona”. One must also ask why the Russians did not build many of the jet powered Horten Brothers Flying wings? Years later they were building copies of a propeller driven B-29 to be used to deliver their atomic bombs. It was certainly slower.

Annie covers a lot of ground , seems terrified by anything nuclear, but for no good reason suggests that the Soviet Cosmos 954 satellite, one of many powered by a small nuclear reactor, must have required phenomenal power to get it into orbit “most likely nuclear” . This is nonsense. She mentions nuclear rockets many times, but doesn’t seem to understand that they were only designed as upper stages and would not be used, (not nearly enough thrust and serious concerns about launch pad safety), to launch payloads from the ground. She talks about operating them for long periods of time to get to Mars. Maybe she thinks rockets operate all during their flight. They actually operate for short periods of time. I worked on nuclear rockets for 3 years.

Summing up, she talked to loads of people connected with area 51 activities, could surely have used a review by knowledgeable people especially about Roswell, and certainly does not substantiate this latest fictional Roswell explanation. Far more fiction than fact about it is supplied.

         Een schokkende getuigenis over het Roswell Incident.
 “ Deze lichamen – de Roswell lichamen – waren geen buitenaardsen. De overheid trekt zich weinig aan van de verhalen omtrent de gevonden Aliën lichamen nabij Roswell, in het bijzonder om de echte waarheid verborgen te houden. Deze lichamen waren Japanse mensen. Ik zou al vele jaren geleden over deze zaak moeten gesproken hebben, ik had iets moeten zeggen.De Japanners en de Nazi’s voerden ontegensprekelijk verschrikkelijke dingen uit met deze mensen. Wel, het was waarschijnlijk onvermijdelijk dat iemand zich vroeg of laat zou realiseren te kijken welke hoge onderzoekswaarde de manier waarop de mensen en lichamen gebruikt werden, had / heeft … experimenten op grote hoogte, hoge druk testen, inspuitingen met ziektekiemen en virussen, met chemische stoffen, en – later, hier op eigen bodem – blootstelling aan radioactieve straling.
“Het woord is allang gevallen dat dit een ultrageheim, hooggeklasseerd project was. Indien het helpt om een voorsprong op de Russen te bekomen, doet wat je moet doen met deze mensen, maar je houdt het geheim en zet zeker geen enkel gegeven op papier”. Zij wisten, wij weten allemaal, dat deze testen zouden verdoemd worden en als mensonwaardig beschouwd. Iedereen had zijn eigen “huisdier”-projecten met deze mensen… En de woestijn was groot genoeg om voor iedereen een plaats, een schijfje te vinden.”

Voorwoord.

Het ROSWELL INCIDENT uit juli 1947 doet beslist bij velen onder jullie een belletje rinkelen… De believers zijn er rotsvast van overtuigd dat door een gerichte debunkingspolitiek de Amerikaanse overheid probeert het bergen van een neergestorte UFO (= hier wel degelijk een vliegende schotel!) met inzittenden verborgen te houden voor de rest van de wereld. De media, de wetenschappers en de sceptici echter geloven zonder aarzelen en zonder zich bijkomende vragen te stellen, de periodiek wijzigende verklaringen van de Amerikaanse overheid. Maar laat één feit 100% vaststaan: in de zomer van 1947 crashte er “iets” in de hete woestijn van New-Mexico, nabij Roswell! Wie daar nog durft aan te twijfelen, moet echt gek zijn en hoeft zich geen onderzoeker meer te noemen… Meerdere onderzoekers schreven diverse boeken, rapporten en artikels over dit bizarre incident. Zo had / heb je de boeken  ‘The Truth about the Crash at Roswell” van Kevin Randle en Donald Schmidt; “ The Roswell Incident”( 1980) van Bill Moore en Stanton Friedman; “ Crash at Corona “ van Don Berliner en Stanton Friedman; “ The Day After Roswell” (1997) van Col. Philip J. Corso ( op rust), samen met Willem J. Birnes en nog zo vele anderen.

De Amerikaanse overheid en de militairen voerden meerdere, officiële onderzoeken uit met een wisselend resultaat. Er werden een aantal Tv-documentaires en zelfs een bioscoopfilm gedraaid en de intense media-aandacht en verregaande speculatie leidden tot het ontstaan en het in stand houden van een ware controversie en een web van intriges, waarvan zelfs na 60 jaar het einde nog niet van in zicht is. Het voorval groeit stilaan uit tot een echte mythe, die wereldwijd bekend is bij het publiek als het ROSWELL INCIDENT.

Maar wat moeten wij met de vele verklaringen, die de afgelopen jaren rond Roswell verspreid werden? Hoe kunnen we een poging wagen om het verschil tussen fictie en feiten te onderscheiden? Want confabulatie zal je zeker terugvinden, steeds als een mythe als Roswell ontstaat…

Mysterieuze crash

In juli 1947 vond er in de woestijn nabij Roswell een incident plaats waarbij de nachtelijke crash van een onbekend voorwerp even voor wereldnieuws zorgde. De Amerikaanse luchtmacht verklaarde namelijk met een officieel persbericht, dat een neergestorte vliegende schotel, een UFO, was geborgen (USAF captures Flying Saucer stond in diverse Amerikaanse kranten). Een dag later kwam er een nieuw perscommuniqué waarin de luchtmacht deze keer sprak over een neergestorte weerballon. Daarna werd het meer dan dertig jaar stil rond Roswell.

Pas in 1978 kwam het Roswellincident weer in het nieuws toen de bekende Canadese ufo-onderzoeker Stanton T. Friedman in contact kwam met oud-majoor Jesse Marcel. Marcel was in 1947 betrokken bij de berging van de resten van wat de luchtmacht een weerballon noemde. Als majoor buiten dienst verklaarde Marcel in 1978 tegenover Friedman, dat het geen weerballon was geweest, maar toch een buitenaards ruimtevaartuig. Friedman vond in Roswell nog tientallen andere getuigen, onder wie zelfs een generaal, die de lezing van Marcel bevestigden. Friedman schreef een boek waarna nog meer getuigen zich meldden en er nog tientallen boeken verschenen. Maar je moet niet denken dat de sceptici zomaar het verhaal van deze getuigen slikken. Ze proberen alle mogelijke middelen aan te grijpen op de echte ufo-onderzoekers belachelijk en ongeloofwaardig te maken.

Overzicht van het Roswell Incident

Laat ons nog even een chronologisch overzicht geven van de gebeurtenissen in Roswell en de diverse feiten.

Vaststaand feit is dat de Amerikaanse luchtmacht door monde van Jesse Marcel begin juli 1947 een persbericht vrijgaf, waarin ze de “berging van een neergestorte UFO”, die gevonden werd nabij een ranch bij de stad Roswell, New-Mexico meldde. Het gevolg van dit persbulletin was een ongeziene, wereldwijde media-aandacht voor dit uniek gebeuren. Deze aantrekkingskracht van de media verplichtte de Amerikaanse luchtmacht ertoe om hun eerste bericht snel tegen te spreken. Tijdens een publieke persconferentie toonde Jesse Marcel, de luchtmachtofficier, die het eerste bericht verspreidde, de restanten van een weerballon en de luchtmacht verklaarde dat deze gevonden waren op de plaats van de crash. De aanwezige journalisten en de media geloofden deze uitleg zonder zich verdere vragen te stellen, misschien uit angst om zich belachelijk te maken in het verkeerd interpreteren van aardse dingen? Of op afspraak met de overheid om de nationale veiligheid te beschermen in deze postoorlogsperiode? De Amerikaanse luchtmacht hoopte dat door het verspreiden van een belachelijke debunkingscover story de aandacht voor de gebeurtenissen in Roswell vanzelf zou wegebben om zo in de vergetelheid terecht te raken.

In eerste instantie leekt de Amerikaanse luchtmacht in hun opzet te slagen, maar enkele decennia later beten een aantal UFO-onderzoekers, waaronder vooral Stanton Friedman, zich vast in dit incident. Zo wisten ze op korte tijd een 400-tal getuigenissen uit eerste en tweede hand te verzamelen, waaronder ook de verklaring van Jesse Marcel op rust, waaruit bleek dat crash in Roswell nooit een weerballon kon geweest zijn. Bij sommige getuigenissen was er zelfs sprake van de berging van diverse inzittenden (= ufonauten), waarvan één nog een tijdje zou geleefd hebben. Enkele jaren later dook een film op met de autopsie van een “Alien” wezen. Deze film deed opnieuw een controversie ontstaan over de echtheid van de beelden of dat ze fake waren… De meeste UFO-onderzoekers zijn ervan overtuigd dat deze beelden vervalst werden. Sommigen claimen dat de Amerikaanse overheid schuilt achter deze vervalsing om hun debunkingspolitiek te versterken.

De discussie rond het Roswellincident, die tot de dag van vandaag aanhoudt, leidde tot vragen in het Amerikaanse congres en een nieuwe verklaring van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht. In september 1994 presenteerde de US Air Force de nieuwe en derde verklaring in een persconferentie. Daarin kwam de luchtmacht met het Project Mogul-verhaal op de proppen. De crash was niet die van een weerballon geweest, maar van een veel grotere spionageballon, waarmee de Amerikanen de Russische vorderingen op nucleair gebied trachtten te monitoren.

Project Mogul was een ultrageheim project, waarbij ketens van ballonnen werden opgelaten, voorzien van instrumenten voor het vergaren van gevoelige informatie. De cluster van ballonnen waren zodanig geconstrueerd dat ze op een redelijke constante hoogte bleven zweven in plaats van steeds hoger te stijgen in de atmosfeer. Project Mogul startte onmiddellijk na Wereldoorlog II en de bedloeling was om de vorderingen te volgen die de Russen maakten in de ontwikkeling van kernbommen.

Opvallend detail is dat in de jaren veertig in Roswell de enige kernbommen van de wereld waren opgeslagen. Roswell was ook de basis van de vliegtuigen die de atoombommen op Hiroshima en Nagasaki lieten vallen in augustus 1945.

Inmiddels heeft de luchtmacht dus een derde verklaring voor het Roswellincident gepresenteerd. Volgens deze laatste lezing is er sprake geweest van een crash van een cockpit-dummie met etalagepoppen. De nieuwe verklaring en vooral het voortdurend wijzigen van de uitleg van de overheid heeft de aanhangers van de UFO-theorie er nog meer van overtuigd, dat er in Roswell meer is gebeurd dan dat wat de luchtmacht hen voorhoudt.

In elk geval onder druk van de onderzoekers kwam er dus een openbaar onderzoek en sinds 1994 en tot de dag van vandaag verklaart de Amerikaanse luchtmacht dat het om een geheim project MOGUL ging…

Ze gaven toe dat het niet om de restanten van een weerballon ging in Roswell, maar wel om de brokstukken van een ultrageheime project Mogul-ballon. Dit project was opgezet om de kernproeven van de toenmalige Sovjet-Unie van nabij te kunnen volgen. De getuigenissen over de geborgen “ongewone of Aliën” lichamen, die nabij Roswell zouden gezien zijn, weerlegden ze met de uitleg dat de getuigen “crash-test-dummy’s” zagen, die gebruikt werden bij valschermexperimenten. Het feit dat deze dummy’s slechts in de jaren 50 gebruikt werden, weerlegden de militairen door te verklaren dat de getuigen zich vergisten in hun herinneringen van die tijdsperiode en  twee gebeurtenissen door elkaar mengden. En weer geloofden / geloven de media en de sceptici dit “sprookjesverhaal” van de Amerikaanse overheid zonder tegenspraak… Ondanks de publicatie van een dik rapport van 1.000 bladzijden “The Roswell Report” in 1995 en een tweede boek met de veelzeggende titel “ The Roswell Report. Case Closed” in 1997 kon de Amerikaanse militiairen geen nieuw bewijs aanvoeren dat hun nieuwe verklaring kon staven en bleven de Ufo-onderzoekers verder research doen om hun gelijk te halen dat een echte UFO crashte in Roswell. In 1995 kwam de General Accounty Office met een nog sterkere, nieuwe variant “ alle documenten van de basis van Roswell van maart 1947 – december 1949 zijn vernietigd, alle verstuurde radioboodschappen gewist, opdrachtgever onbekend. De zoveelste poging om de feiten van de echte gebeurtenis te verbergen. In augustus 1995 was een zogenaamde opname uit 1947 van de autopsie op een humanoïde kadaver uit Roswell wereldwijd uitgezonden, ook bij België haalde deze filmhet Tv-nieuws. Het debat over de authenciteit van deze beelden is nog steeds niet afgerond…

Het spreekt voor zich zelf dat het meerdere keren wijzigen van hun uitleg over de gebeurtenis in Roswell en de toevallige vernietiging van de data van de basis voor die tijdsperiode de geloofwaardigheid van de Amerikaanse militairen tot een minimum herleidde. Logisch gezien stel je de hamvraag “ Spreken ze NU de waarheid of verbergen ze nog steeds de waarheid over het Roswell Incident?” Bij de believers wakkerde / versterkte deze uitleg het idee dat de Amerikaanse luchtmacht proberen  de crash van een “echte ufo met inzittenden” te  ontkennen en verborgen te houden voor de rest van de wereld. Tot de dag van vandaag blijft het Roswell Incident nog steeds een raadsel voor de UFO-onderzoekers of toch niet?

Nieuwe theorie in het boek van Nick REDFERN

Onlangs kwam ik héél toevallig in het bezit van het boek “BODY SNATCHERS in the DESERT” van de Ufoloog NICK REDFERN. Deze onderzoeker komt met een héél andere verklaring dan de ET-hypothese naar voren over Roswell. Hij bouwt in zijn boek zijn theorie stevig gefundeerd en degelijk gedetailleerd en geargumenteerd op. Met voldoende argumenten lijkt zijn stelling mij volkomen logisch, realistisch en zeker aanvaardbaar, maar zeker niet minder schrikwekkend dat de ET-hypothese… Na het lezen van zijn boek kan je je afvragen wat in werkelijkheid de ergste oplossing is – de crash van een buitenaards ruimteschip met inzittenden of de crash van een prototype van een ultrageheim, militair toestel, waarin krijgsgevangen, Japanse gehandicapten als proefpersonen gebruikt werden… Inderdaad, REDFERN beweert dat de Amerikanen de UFO-story ondersteunen en gebruiken om deze gruwelijke experimenten op hun bodem met Japanse krijgsgevangenen en gehandicapten te verbergen en vooral om de aandacht af te leiden van de gebeurtenissen in Roswell! In zijn boek tracht hij deze ontdekking te bewijzen. Nog verder gezocht dan de ET-hypothese of schuilt er toch waarheid in deze stelling van REDFERN?

Laat ons even terugkeren naar de tijdsperiode van Wereldoorlog II. Het is algemeen geweten dat de Nazi’s allerlei medische, biologische en andere experimenten (vb. het zoeken naar biologische wapens,…) uitvoerden op diverse krijgsgevangenen, Joden, … om hun oorlogsmachine te voeden. Ook de geallieerden zaten niet stil en zo eindigde het Project Manhattan met de eerste Atoombom, getest in Los Alamos. De Nazi’s ontwierpen hun onbemande V1’s, V2’s,… die ze gebruikten om hun vijanden, waaronder Antwerpen en Londen te bestoken. Ze hadden hun grootste onderzoekscentrum in PEENEMUNDE. Ook de Japanners werkten aan diverse projecten, zoals project FUGO en biologische wapens. Zo hadden ze “UNIT 731”, waar ze vooral bezighielden met project FUGO. Het doel van project FUGO was het ontwerpen van een ballon, die in staat was om de Pacific over te steken met een dodelijke lading (bommen of biologische bom) en zo het grondgebied van de USA te bestoken. Volgens historische gegevens zouden er minstens 9000 ballonnen ontworpen zijn, waarvan een 1000-tal het Amerikaanse vastenland zouden bereikt hebben, nadat ze opgelaten werden vanaf de oostkust van het Japanse eiland. De Amerikanen hadden zelfs een project SUNSET om deze ballonnen neer te halen, vooraleer ze schade konden veroorzaken. Een aantal Japanse FUGO-ballonnen seinden radiosignalen uit, waardoor de Amerikanen ze konden onderscheppen en vernietigen voor ze onheil brachten. Op speciaal verzoek van de Amerikaanse overheid verzwegen de media het impact van de neergekomen ballonnen, niet zozeer om paniek te vermijden, wel  om de Jappen op een dwaalspoor te brengen dat het opzet van hun project mislukt was. Maar intussen werkte UNIT 731 verder aan een “kamikaze-ballon”, waarin één of meerdere piloten zouden kunnen plaatsnemen, de Pacific overvliegen en boven een bewust gekozen doelwit op het Amerikaanse vastenland hun dodelijke lading lossen. De Japanse onderzoekers voerden ook experimenten uit op menselijke proefpersonen, waaronder ook gehandicapten, zoals progeriapatiënten, dwergen,… om de reactie van de piloten op grote hoogte en eventuele stralingen te testen. De Atoombommen op Nagasaki en Hiroshima maakten een eind aan de Japanse droom en leidde tot de overgave van Japan. Intussen hadden de Nazi’s de oorlog verloren, was Duitsland een bezet land en verliep de samenwerking tussen de Westerse geallieerden en de Russen in een steeds groeiend wantrouwen tussen beide partijen… De Koude Oorlog begon!

Als overwinnaars en dank zij hun geheime diensten, hadden de Amerikanen weet van de diverse biologische, medische en andere experimenten op menselijke proefpersonen door de Nazi-geleerden en de Japanners. De USA zetten project PAPERCLIP op om een aantal Duitse geleerden, de resultaten van hun experimenten en andere data naar Amerika te halen. Hun hoofddoel was de Russen voor te zijn om deze kennis en technologie zelf in bezit te nemen. Voor de krijgsgevangen genomen Duitse geleerden was de keuze simpel, ofwel aanvaardden ze om voor de Amerikanen te gaan werken in de USA, ofwel zouden ze als oorlogsmisdadigers berecht worden voor hun misdaden tegen de mensheid. Dank zij project PAPERCLIP wisten de Amerikanen minstens 1600 Duitse geleerden samen met tonnen materiaal en onderzoeksresultaten van de diverse experimenten naar Amerika over te brengen, bekende namen zijn STRUNGHOLD, Hermann OBERTH en Werner VON BRAUN. Onder Amerikaans toezicht konden de Duitsers op diverse, militaire basissen hun onderzoek verder zetten ten dienste van de USA. Ook de Japanse “UNIT 731” werd met personeel en onderzoeksresultaten naar Amerikaanse basissen gebracht.

We hebben kennis van de Duitse testen met “raketten” (V’s), een schotelvormig toestel en van de “Horton Brothers Flying Wing” (= maansikkelvormig)

Stilaan werd er ook meer bekend gemaakt over de Japanse experimenten met hun “bemande” FUGO-ballon, waarvoor ze gehandicapte proefpersonen gebruikten. Deze gegevens heb ik even vermeld om tot de theorie over het Roswell Incident van Nick REDFERN te komen. Uit een aantal documenten, historische opgezochte data en verklaringen van getuigen zal REDFERN besluiten dat het Roswell Incident effectief het resultaat was van een crash van een Horton Brothers Flying Wing met een motor aangedreven door kernenergie en de crash van een bemande FUGO-ballon. Volgens hem zijn er volgens de getuigenissen meerdere crashes geweest. Op het eerste zicht niets speciaals zeg jij, en waarom zouden de Amerikanen dit verhaal intussen niet bekend gemaakt hebben. Vergeet niet dat de Japanse geleerden hun ‘gehandicapte’ “crew”, waaronder zelfs progeria-patiënten, dwergen meebrachten naar de USA en de menselijke experimenten verderzetten op Amerikaanse bodem. Vergezocht zeg jij, maar als je de beschrijvingen van diverse getuigen over de geborgen “ufonauten” leest, lijkt dit beeld realistischer dan je denkt.

Bekijk je de opgedoken film over de autopsie van een Alien-wezen in deze context, dan is de gelijkenis ook treffend, niet? De Amerikaanse militairen keken stilzwijgend toe, want ze wilde ten alle prijzen een met kernenergie aangedreven bommenwerper bekomen. De actieradius van dergelijk toestel zou hun slagvermogen serieus vergroten. Maar om de impact van de radioactieve straling van dergelijke “atoommotor” op de piloten te kennen, dienden er testen met proefpersonen te gebeuren; in dit geval geen vrijwilligers, maar gehandicapte, Japanse krijgsgevangenen. Tijdens één van de testvluchten van een bemande FUGO-ballon, waarbij ook radioactief materiaal gebruikt werd, want deze testen gingen ook verder op Amerikaanse bodem, liep het fout. Een blikseminslag op het roer, maakte de ballon onbestuurbaar. De ballon kwam ook in “luchtzakken” terecht, waardoor de cabine met de crew bijna loskwam van de ballon. Uiteindelijk stortte de ballon en de cabine toch neer ver van de oefenplaats, maar wel nabij Roswell. Drie van de vier Japanse piloten waren bijna op slag door, één leefde nog een tijdje. De Amerikaanse luchtmacht kende de plaats van de crash niet, waardoor de farmer Mack Brazel de brokstukken van dit prototype kon vinden, vooraleer de bergingsploeg van de luchtmacht in actie kon treden. De militair Jesse Marcel van de nabijgelegen luchtmachtbasis was niet op de hoogte van deze experimentele testvluchten. Geen wonder dat hij besloot bij het aanschouwen van de brokstukken dat er een UFO neergestort was, niet?

Na de ongeziene, intense media-aandacht als reactie op de persmededeling van Jesse Marcel over de neergestorte UFO, moest de Amerikaanse luchtmacht snel reageren, want ze dreigde in een precaire situatie terecht te komen. De restanten van een weerballon tonen zou wel volstaan om de media te sussen, denk ook even aan het verzwijgen van de neergestorte Fugo-ballonnen en je weet dat de overheid wel een aantal media onder controle had. De Amerikaanse luchtmacht wilde vermijden dat de gruwelijke experimenten en proefvluchten met gehandicapte menselijke krijgsgevangenen op hun bodem bekend zouden raken. Dit mocht niet uitlekken in de periode dat in Nurenberg, Duitsland een aantal Nazi’s terecht stonden voor misdaden tegen de mensheid. De Amerikanen konden toch niet toegeven dat zij een aantal NAZI-geleerden naar de USA hadden overgebracht, niet? Vergeet ook niet dat we in de beginperiode zaten van de Koude Oorlog met het toenemen van de bewapeningswedloop, waarin de USA de bovenhand wilde behouden. Je weet wel voor de nationale veiligheid worden nog steeds een aantal documenten geheimgehouden…

Aangezien er in de vele getuigenissen omtrent Roswell spraken is van twee crashsites, namelijk de aluminiumachtige, zeer licht wegende ballonachtige brokstukken op de ranch van Mack Brazel en een twee site waar een “schotelvormig object” gevonden werd, waar ook de lichamen geborgen werden; dien je de vraag te stellen waarom de getuigen spreken van twee verschillende soorten materialen als het om de crash van één toestel zou gaan?

Er dient dus vooreerst gecheckt te worden of de Japanners in de USA effectief kamikazeversie van de FUGo-ballon ontwikkelde, dan zou je met zekerheid kunnen besluiten dat dit prototype, als object kan beschouwd worden dat crashte nabij Roswell in 1947. Het kan evengoed dat de USA probeerde een tweede versie van de FUGO-ballon te bouwen, ofwel een hybride toestel dat zowel de technologie van de de FUGO-ballon als deze van de Horton Brothers Fling Wing combineerde. De technologie van de FUGO-ballon om op te stijgen, alsook een toestel, gebaseerd op de Wing, waarin een bemanning kon plaatsnemen. Dan zouden de Japanse ingenieurs en de piloten, die na de overgave van Japan en het einde van de oorlog, naar de USA overkwamen, verder gewerkt hebben aan hun project. De dode “aliën “lichamen zouden dan deze Japanse bemanning kunnen zijn, niet?

Vele getuigenissen over Roswell spreken vooral over de wrakstukken, die Mack Brazel op zijn ranch vond, op een uitgestrekte vlakte. Maar velen zwijgen over het andere deel van het verhaal, namelijk de tweede site met het “schotelvormig object en de ongewone lichamen”. Het aantal brokstukken, die de rancher vond, waren er teveel om van dat object van de tweede site  te komen, dat daar bijna intact door getuigen gezien werd. Dit toestel, zoals je wilt, of UFO, zoals de believers aannemen, wordt steeds beschreven als een solide, uit vaste materie bestaand object – “een luchtschip”, terwijl de restanten, gevonden op de ranch, flexibele, aluminiumachtige en lichtwegende stukken waren. Als je ziet dat de getuigen over het gebruikt van twee totaal verschillende materialen spreken en dat de aluminiumachtige brokstukken gescheiden waren van het “object”, kan je enkel tot het besluit komen dat deze twee “delen” volledig apart van elkaar geconstrueerd werden. De UFO-schrijvers en believers  verklaren zelden wat dat “ gescheiden ding” was en waarom het zo verschillend was met de andere brokstukken? Maar kijk, als er zo een prototype een testvlucht maakte en uit twee delen bestond – een grote ballon, om een object met een zeker gewicht tot op een zeker hoogte te brengen en een object met bemanning, dat tot op een zekere hoogte moest gebracht worden – dan is het mysterie direct opgelost, waarom er op de twee verschillende crashsites twee verschillende materialen gevonden werden. Als je weet dat volgens specifieke, officiële bronnen, de FUGO-ballonnen in staat waren om een hoogte van 170.000 feet ( = +/- 60km) te bereiken met een last  van 15.000 pond ( = 7500 kg of 7,5 ton), dan kan deze ballon best en object met bemanning dragen, toch? Het bewijst niet alleen waarom er twee verschillende materialen en twee verschillende dingen gevonden werden, maar ook waarom er ongewone lichamen gezien werden. De beschrijving van de brokstukken, gevonden op de ranch van Mack Brazel, lijken inderdaad sterk op het materiaal, waaruit de FUGO-ballonnen gemaakt werden.

U zegt dat de Nazi’s ook experimenten uitvoerde met een “schotelvorm” (halve maanachtig, eerder elliptisch) vliegtuig? Inderdaad, maar blijkbaar kregen ze dit toestel toch niet stabiel genoeg om lange vluchten te ondernemen. Dit type, werd eveneens gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de Horton broeders, kan moeilijk alleen de basis vormen voor de getuigenissen over de crash van Roswell, gezien de totaal verschillende en gebruikte materialen op de twee sites. Na het echt falen om het type “schotelvorm” echt operationeel te kunnen gebruiken en inzetten, schakelde de luchtmacht in 1949 over op het ontwikkelen van een deltavormig toestel, een “vleermuisachtige vleugel” en een driehoekvorming toestel dat nauwer aansluit met de huidige Stealth-versie.

Verder mogen we niet vergeten dat door de ontwikkeling van de rakettechnologie, de behoefte van een langeafstand bommenwerper kleiner werd.

Voor het proces van Nuremberg, Duitsland, waar de Nazi-beulen berecht werden, werden de experimenten op mensen, vooral mentaal en fysisch gehandicapten, zoals dwergen, progeriapatiënten, oogluikend getolereerd. Na NUREMBERG werden de testen met deze proefpersonen snel afgebouwd en opgeschort, want dit was tegen alle regels van Nuremberg en de rechten van de mens. Data werden verbrand of vernietigd; de lichamen, bewaard in diverse labo’s, begraven en er zou niet meer over gepraat worden, want het was nooit gebeurd. Indien er toch iemand achter deze dingen zou vragen, de media of iemand anders, verspreidden ze de geruchten over gecrashte UFO’s en de lichamen van Aliëns en het werkte…

Het Roswell Incident Herbekeken - deel 2
Analyse van deze hypothese

Wat gebeurde er nu in mei 1947: een experimenteel vliegtuig, dat werd ontworpen op basis van het revolutionaire luchtvaartonderzoek van de Horton Brothers van Duitsland, was een onderdeel van een testvlucht in White-Sands, New-Mexico. De vlucht maakte deel uit van een groter project, dat begon in 1946 om de haalbaarheid van zowel de bouw als van een met kernenergie aangedreven vliegtuig te onderzoeken. Aan boord van het voertuig zaten een aantal lichamelijk gehandicapten, die waren gevonden in de overblijfselen van de Japanse 's UNIT 731 laboratoria en die daar gebruikt werden in deze donkere en verontrustende experimenten - het doel daarvan was om te proberen beter inzicht te verkrijgen in de effecten van de radioactieve straling van de met kernenergie uitgeruste toestel tijdens de vlucht op het vliegend personeel. Het experiment eindigde in een ramp toen het vliegtuig neer stortte neer in White Sands, he een aantal van de bemanningsleden kwamen om.

Twee maanden later, begin juli 1947, werd er opnieuw met een tweede, soortgelijk voertuig gevlogen boven White Sands. In dit geval, ging het om een geavanceerde Fugo ballon-prototype, ontwikkeld in de eindfase van de Tweede Wereldoorlog door de Japanse strijdkrachten. Het vliegtuig,  bestuurd door een bemanning van Japanse personeel, die  speciaal opgeleid waren voor deze testvlucht, crashte in de buurt van de Foster ranch nadat ze catastrofaal getroffen werden door de bliksem – het toestel, ontworpen op in de lucht geheven te worden door de ballon, de ballon materialen, en de lichamen van de bemanning werden teruggevonden onder het mom van overweldigende geheimhouding - hetzij opzettelijk of onopzettelijk - verborgen achter een rookgordijn van gecrashte vliegende schotel verhalen. Het zijn deze twee incidenten, die volgens de diverse getuigen uit het boek van REDFERN, leidden tot de legende van de Roswell incident.

Als je deze verklaring, de gedetailleerde uitleg en chronologische feiten van REDFERN in zijn boek met open geest leest, dan kan je het toch niet moeilijk hebben om de waarschijnlijkheid en de mogelijkheid van deze hypothese in overweging te nemen? In een historisch perspectief bekeken, lijkt zijn theorie mij persoonlijk realistisch, aanvaardbaar en mogelijk. Gebeuren er tegenwoordig ook geen militaire experimenten en acties die het daglicht niet mogen zien? Zou de publieke opinie niet geschokt zijn als ze weet moesten hebben van al deze “verborgen” experimenten en acties? Denk ook even aan het “Black budget” van de USA en je weet dat er meer gebeurt dan wij beseffen. Het doel heiligt de middelen en wat niet weet, wat niet deert… Pas je het principe van OCKHAM’s scheermes toe op het Roswellincident, dan is de eenvoudigste oplossing meestal de beste en dan lijkt de hypothese van REDFERN volkomen aanvaardbaar. Het voortzetten van de geheime Nazi- en Japanse projecten op Amerikaanse bodem met soms een aantal mislukkingen, waarvan Roswell een bewijs vormt, is toch niet zo ver gezocht.

Ook andere onderzoekers zoals Vicki Ecker, uitgeefster van het UFO-MAGAZINE en de Franse onderzoeker en schrijver Jacques VALLEE menen dat experimenten en proefvluchten van een prototype op grote hoogte aan de basis liggen van het ontstaan van de Roswell mythe. Enkel Ecker durft ook te spreken over het gebruik van Japanse krijgsgevangenen tijdens deze proefvluchten.

Je kan de hypothese van REDFERN ontkennen, negeren of in overweging nemen als een mogelijke verklaring voor het Roswell Incident. Als je het boek leest, dan raak je snel onder indruk van de gedetailleerde en historische weergave van de feiten, de data, de getuigenissen en de documenten. Je kan deze oplossing vergezocht vinden, maar denk toch even na. Wat is de meeste geloofwaardigste en aanvaardbare oplossing: de crash van een buitenaards ruimteschip met inzittenden ofwel de crash van een experimenteel bemand prototype van de Amerikaanse luchtmacht, dat in zijn historisch kader past? Persoonlijk acht ik de oplossing van REDFERN na het lezen van zijn boek mogelijk en denk ik dat hij het bij het rechte eind kan hebben. Als je een kansberekening zoudt maken van wat er kon neerstorten in Roswell een UFO of buitenaards ruimteschip met inzittende ofwel  een geavanceerd protype van een Amerikaans experimenteel toestel, dan denk ik dat de keuze snel gemaakt is, niet…Het blijft misschien voor u bizar en onmogelijk dat de Amerikaanse overheid aan dergelijke, menselijke experimenten zou meewerken; maar denk dan even na over de volgende historische gebeurtenissen en acties: het bombardement van het Duitse DRESDEN, de A-bommen op NAGASAKI en HIROSHIMA in Japan, de bombardementen met napalmbommen in VIETNAM, de drugsverkoop aan eigen burgers door de CIA om oorlogen te bekostigen, het gebruik van met radioactief uranium verrijkte kogels in de Golfoorlog en Irak, het behandelen van gevangen “terroristen” in “verborgen” gevangenissen,… Inderdaad, periodiek wordt het menselijk respect en aspect wel even vergeten, niet? Heiligt het doel niet altijd de middelen? Het klinkt misschien cru maar is het militair hoofddoel en idee niet “ Beter een paar mensenlevens opofferen om alzo het leven van duizenden van onze jongens te sparen of te redden!”?

Eén ding staat vast, dit artikel is geen proces om de USA en hun militairen in een negatief daglicht te plaatsen, want in elke oorlog plegen de diverse partijen acties, die het grote publiek niet mogen weten. Vergeet niet het geheel in zijn historisch perspectief te plaatsen. De Koude Oorlog woedde volop, het wantrouwen tegen de Russen groeide steeds meer en de USA probeerde zijn voorsprong in de bewapeningswedloop te behouden met als doel de nationale veiligheid. Dat daar offers diende voor gebracht te worden en niet alleen financieel was vanzelfsprekend, want de nationale veiligheid kreeg voorrang op alle andere zaken en kende zijn prijs…

Met dit artikel wil ik enkel aantonen dat de stelling van REDFERN veel realistischer en aanvaardbaarder is dan jij denkt en net zoals de ET-theorie, Project Mogul een verklaring kan zijn voor het Roswellincident!

Nu ik ben ervan overtuigd dat niet iedereen dezelfde mening zal delen en ieder zal zijn zienswijze verdedigen. Zo is er de scepticus Karl KORFF die in zijn boek “The Roswell UFO crash” verklaart dat de slachtoffers van de hele affaire geen aliens zijn, maar de Ufo-onderzoekers zelf. Hij weerlegt de crash van een Ufo in Roswell en ook de theorie van REDFERN haalt hij onderuit. Hij “zweert trouw” aan de uitleg van de Amerikaanse verklaring dat het om Project MOGUL gaat en om niets anders. Moet er nog zand zijn? De Franse onderzoeker Gildas BOURDAIS weerlegt zowel KORFF als REDFERN en blijft volhouden dat het om een Ufo-crash ging in Roswell en zelfs na het boek vind hij dat deze stelling standhoudt. Volgens hem zouden de gegevens en het boek van REDFERN om desinformatie berusten met als doel de UFO-onderzoekers nog meer in verwarring te brengen. Hij vond geen overtuigend, kredietwaardig bewijs in het boek van Nick REDFERN en vind het een dubieus verhaal. Dit boek zal zeker de polemieken en tegenstellingen over Roswell opnieuw opstarten. Als je weet dat scepticus Philip J. Klass in 1998 in zijn boek “The Roswell Crashed-Saucer Coverup” reeds de hypothese van project MOGUL verdedigde als de ultieme oplossing voor het Roswell Incident en dat andere sceptici, zoals KORFF, HULSPAS en beslist vele anderen, zich zonder veel vragen te stellen gewoon Klass achterna lopen, dan weet je hoe een scepticus “open minded, kritisch en objectief” te werk gaat..

Ook de Ufoloog Stanton T. FRIEDMAN maakte in juni 2005 een review van het boek van Redferm. Eerst zegt hij dat Nick Redferm meerdere boeken schreef en ook veel tijd doorbracht in archieven op zoek naar bewijs. Stanton vraagt zich wel af of Redferm zijn twee kroongetuigen de “Colonel” en de “Black Widow” wel voldoende gecheckt heeft op geloofwaardigheid. Volgens  deze bekwame onderzoeker kan hij enkel bevestigen dat er die tijdsperiode wel experimenten en onderzoeken via het NEPA-programma (Nucleair Energy for the Propulsion of Aircraft) en dat die de basis kunnen vormen voor het boek van Redferm. Volgens Stanton konden de testen om de gevolgen van radioactieve neutronen- en gammastraling evengoed op dieren gebeuren. Verder konden de wetenschappers de gevolgen van nucleaire straling gemakkelijker en beter opvolgen in de Japanse steden Hirochima en Nagasaki, waar in 1945 de eerste kernbommen ontploften. Verder komen de brokstukken van de ranch van Brazel  niet overeen volgens de getuigenis van Jesse Marcel en ook de uitgestrektheid van het gebied waar volgens de getuigen de brokstukken lagen klopt niet met dat van een ballon. Volgens Stanton Friedman is het best mogelijk dat de “kolonel” en de “black widow” hun verklaringen geloven als waarheid, maar volgens hem komt dat beeld niet overeen met het beeld en de feiten, bekomen via de vele getuigen over Roswell. Je kan afleiden dat Santon T. Friedman, een onderzoeker die het Roswell-Incident jarenlang bestudeerde en vele getuigen persoonlijk ondervroeg,  voorstander is van de crash van een buitenaards object in Roswell, eerder dan deze van de MOGUL-ballon, een weerballon in combinatie met radarreflectoren of van een gecrashte “Horton Brother Flying Wing”, gedragen door een grote Japanse FUGO-ballon met aan boord Japanse krijgsgevangenen en eventuele gehandicapten…

Ik vrees dat elke onderzoeker deze nieuwe theorie van Redfern zal interpreteren in functie van zijn “eigen belief”, maar dat geldt voor alle UFO-cases en hypothesen, nietwaar… Mathematisch gezien blijf ik volgens de kansberekening bij mijn stelling dat de crash van een “vliegende schotel in Roswell met inzittenden” veel, veel kleiner is dan de kans dat een prototype van het Amerikaans leger crashte in de woestijn…

Een ander incident, vergelijkbaar met Roswell, namelijk het AURORA incident of hoe een mythe kan ontstaan.

Het Aurora-incident is het oudste gedocumenteerde crashmysterie rondom een UFO. Het incident vond plaats bij AURORA, TEXAS, USA  op 17 april 1897, iets meer dan 50 jaar voor het  Roswell Incident.

Bij het Aurora-incident zou een kogelvormig projectiel na een botsing met de windmolen op het terrein van de plaatselijke rechter Proctor zijn neergestort en ontploft. Omwonenden konden volgens de overlevering de enige inzittende redden, maar deze overleed enkele uren later. Hij werd begraven op het plaatselijke kerkhof. Ook dit incident kreeg destijds veel publiciteit in de media, maar raakte snel in de vergetelheid.

In het kader van de Amerikaanse televisieserie "UFO Hunters" onderzochten wetenschappers en ufo-onderzoekers het incident in AURORA. Ze deden daarbij diverse ontdekkingen, maar vonden geen onomstotelijk bewijs van buitenaardse bezoekers. Wel vonden ze het vermeende graf van de "piloot", maar ze kregen geen toestemming dit graf te openen.

In 1979 beweerde Etta Pegues, toen 86, dat de schrijver van het krantenartikel over 'Aurora' dit gedaan had als grap en om Aurora op de kaart te zetten. De stad stond in 1897 op het punt dood te bloeden en hij wou ze nieuw leven in blazen door toeristen aan te trekken. Volgens Pegues zou rechter Proctor zelfs nooit een windmolen gehad hebben. In de aan het incident gewijde uitzending van "UFO Hunters" werden aan de hand van de beschrijvingen uit 1897 echter wel de fundamenten en enkele resten van een windmolen gevonden. Maar het mysterie blijft nog altijd bestaan. Het hangt gewoon van de interpretatie van de believer of de scepticus welke verklaring voor waarheid aangenomen wordt… Soms aanvaardden ze enkel die argumentatie, die hun stellingen en visies bevestigen en ontkennen alle andere argumenten als nonsens of verzinsels.

BESLUIT.

De “die hard” believers hebben het beslist moeilijk met REDFERN’s nieuwe hypothese, want zij houden bij voorkeur vast aan de ET-hypothese, die het bezoek van een buitenaardse intelligentie aan onze planeet zou bevestigen. Hoe de sceptici en criticasters reageren, weet ik niet, maar ik zie met KLASS, KORFF en HULSPAS als voorbeeld te nemen, dat hun voorkeur beslist uit gaat naar de seculaire verklaring van “project MOGUL”. Die stelling valt voor hun gemakkelijker en eenvoudiger te aanvaarden dan te beseffen dat geleerden en hun wetenschap zich onder specifieke situaties laten misbruiken door een militaire macht, of dat er een buitenaardse vliegende schotel neerstortte. Het zou het bewijs zijn dat de wetenschap onder militair impuls alle menselijk respect voor het leven verliest en ten alle koste hun doel willen bereiken en dat ze in staat zijn vele dingen verborgen te houden, zelfs de crash van een Ufo of gruwelijke experimenten met gehandicapte krijgsgevangenen of proefpersonen...

Verder zal de controversie over Ufo’s als buitenaardse bezoekers of aardse verschijnselen tussen de “die hard” en fanatieke believers en de “die hard“ sceptici regelmatig blijven voor vuurwerk zorgen. Persoonlijk probeer ik de gulden middenweg te bewandelen en hoop ik dat beide “partijen” eens tot de jaren van verstand mogen komen…

Als open minded, kritische en objectieve onderzoeker kan ik enkel besluiten dat de hypothese van Nick REDFERN minder ongeloofwaardig is dan je in het begin denkt en even geloofwaardig is als de crash van een spionageballon van project Mogul of een vliegende schotel…

Een goede raad, lees zelf het boek eens en oordeel zelf! En nogmaals, volgens mijn persoonlijke mening valt of staat de Ufologie en de buitenaardse hypothese niet met een eventuele “aardse” verklaring voor het Roswell Incident. Indien de Ufologie zich enkel staande kan / kon houden dank zij Roswell en een ET-hypothese, dan zou ze allang verdwenen zijn, niet…

Hacker Gary McKinnon's mother welcomes Obama comments

The mother of computer hacker Gary McKinnon has welcomed comments by President Barack Obama about her son's possible extradition to the US.

Janis Sharp, who is fighting to keep her son in the UK, described the president's words as "very positive".

Mr Obama, who is on a state visit to the UK, said he would "respect" the British legal process.

Glasgow-born Mr McKinnon, who has Asperger's syndrome, is accused of hacking US military computer systems.

The 45-year-old - who lives in north London - faces up to 60 years in jail for hacking into Pentagon and Nasa computers between February 2001 and March 2002. He does not deny hacking into the systems but insists he was seeking evidence of UFOs.

His case is currently before Home Secretary Theresa May, who has to make a final decision as to whether Mr McKinnon should be extradited.

'Widespread concern'

Speaking during a press conference in London, Mr Obama said: "We have proceeded through all the processes required under our extradition agreements. It's now in the hands of the British legal system.

"We have confidence in the British legal system coming to a just conclusion, and so we will await resolution and we will be respectful of that process."

The prime minister, referring to Mr McKinnon by his first name, said he understood the "widespread concern" about the way he would be treated if handed over to the US authorities.

"The case is in front of the home secretary who has to consider reports about Gary's health and his well-being and it is right that she does that in a proper and effectively quasi-judicial way," he said.

"I totally understand the anguish of his mother and family about this issue. We must follow the proper processes and make sure this case is dealt with in the proper way and I am sure that is the case."

There has been a long-running campaign for Mr McKinnon to be allowed to remain in the UK, and many politicians, including Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, have expressed concerns about the case.

'Farcical extradition'

Mr McKinnon's lawyer Karen Todner said she was "absolutely delighted" if the comments meant the US was relaxing its position.

"Bearing in mind we do have this special relationship, the fact Mr Obama has come out and said he would respect the English judicial system is wonderful," she said.

Shami Chakrabarti, director of human rights group Liberty, said: "If, as the president says, he will be 'respectful' of our legal process, then he should be happy for Gary to be dealt with here in the UK.

"If our government seeks to honour the words of both coalition partners in opposition, it will decide that Gary's condition warrants halting this farcical extradition immediately, so that justice and compassion can be dispensed at home."

It is not yet known when Mrs May will decide whether Mr McKinnon must be extradited.

A Home Office spokeswoman said: "Extradition can only be refused at this late stage in the process if the home secretary decides that extradition would breach Gary McKinnon's human rights.

"The home secretary aims to reach a decision as soon as is consistent with dealing fairly and properly with all matters raised by Mr McKinnon's legal team."

2. DE CONTRA 'S OF WAAROM E. T. ENKEL DROOM KAN ZIJN!

Het is vanzelfsprekend dat na het bespreken van = waarom het wel zou kunnen = wij even gaan overwegen waarom E.T. wel een probleem kan zijn - is.
Om een bepaald fenomeen of project te beoordelen, dienen wij alle voor- en nadelen goed te vergelijken en af te wegen. Dan pas nemen wij een beslissing of vellen wij een oordeel. Het helpt ons enkel met een mogelijke evaluatie van het verschijnsel. Het biedt volstrekt geen honderd procent zekerheid over de oorsprong en / of de existentie van het UFO-verschijnsel.

2.1. DE ONWAARSCHIJNLIJKHEID VAN VERRE RUIMTEREIZEN

Niettegenstaande sommige hoogstaande, buitenaardse beschavingen beslist over de mogelijkheden, de motivatie of de noodzaak beschikken om ons te observeren en te volgen in onze evolutie, kunnen zij de gedachte van een lange ruimtereis verwerpen. Zij kiezen misschien veeleer voor een goedkopere en snellere waarneming- of exploratiemethode, bijvoorbeeld radioboodschappen, lasertechnieken, één of andere holografische techniek met een virtuele realiteit of gewoon een robotsonde.

Ze ontwikkelden misschien een véél snellere of eenvoudiger manier om ons vanop afstand te observeren (vb. telepathisch of via droomwereld, waar geen grenzen bestaan), die wij met onze huidige wetenschap nog niet kennen - zij observeren ons misschien vanop afstand zonder dat ze hoe dan ook dichter (= zichtbaar) bij onze planeet of ons zonnestelsel hoeven te komen (evalueer

even het axioma of de stelling over GOD (= de kosmische macht): HIJ ZIET ALLES, HIJ IS ALOM EN OVERAL VERTEGENWOORDIGD!)- De wetenschap gelooft actueel nog niet == in vergelijking met onze huidige mogelijkheden = volgens mij een verkeerd vergelijkingspunt == dat verre ruimtereizen mogelijk zijn (de afstand bedraagt vele lichtjaren tot de dichtstbijzijnde " STER ", de duur van een dergelijke reis, levensduur van de mensen,...); vandaar dat ze alle bezoek uit de ruimte als onmogelijk beschouwen!

Als wij, mensen, dat niet kunnen dan zeker de Aliëns niet. Wij kunnen niet sneller reizen dan de lichtsnelheid (wet van EINSTEIN), maar hypothesen over fotonenschepen, antimaterie voortstuwingsmechanismen en wormgaten blijven de sciencefiction domineren.

Waar zit de waarheid? Actueel heeft de wetenschap hier wel een punt, maar wat binnen enkele decennia?

Als wij bijvoorbeeld naar EPSILON ERIDANI of TAU CETI zouden willen reizen of informatie sturen via radio- of lasersignalen, duurt het toch twintig jaar vooraleer wij op de gestelde vraag een antwoord krijgen. ALPHA CENTAURI A en B, de sterren die na de dwergster PROXIMA het dichtst bij de zon staan, hebben misschien planeten. Het verkenningsschip dat dit moet onderzoeken, moet aan enorme eisen voldoen en met geweldige telescopen en enorme zendapparatuur uitgerust zijn. Als het met een snelheid van zestig procent van de lichtsnelheid zou reizen zou het toch nog tussen veertien à zeventien aardse jaren onderweg zijn.

De aandrijving zal waarschijnlijk moeten geschieden door energie die vrij komt door fusie van waterstof en zuurstof; mogelijk gebruiken de ruimtevaarders ook helium. Over de ontelbare andere moeilijkheden die overwonnen dienen te worden om zo een ruimteschip te lanceren en op de juiste koers te houden, en met een eventuele bemanning en kolonisten zouden de problemen nog groter zijn en over deze laatste zullen wij maar zwijgen...

Zijn wij hier niet te simplistisch in ons denken? Waarom zou een meer gevorderde intelligente beschaving deze "menselijke" hinderpalen niet omzeild hebben? Is dit sterk, werelds negativisme van onze denkwijze over de onmogelijkheid van ruimtereizen geen wetenschappelijke, menselijke grootheidswaanzin?  Wat wij nu nog niet kunnen, dat kunnen de Aliëns immers ook niet! Laten wij er echter van uit gaan dat wij over X eeuwen soortgelijke ruimteschepen lanceren, misschien wel in de vorm van een ruimtekolonie, en dat voor lay-outs en andere eigenschappen de sciencefiction schrijvers onze beste bronnen zijn.

2.2. HET WAARNEMINGSVERMOGEN VAN DE MENSEN

Vaak nemen de mensen de realiteit niet juist waar, maar is de herkenning of het identificatieproces het gevolg van een spontane, onbewuste interpretatie. Met andere woorden het plaatsen van iets vreemd of iets onbekend in hun eigen referentiekader of eigen ervaringswereld. Inderdaad, de hoeveelheid van verkeerde waarneming, van verwrongen werkelijkheid, optische illusie, fantasie- of wensvol denken (wishfull thinking) of interpreteren of valse herinneringen, die bij de mensen bestaan,

is volgens mij inderdaad enorm.

ALLAN HENDRY vond deze verschijnselen herhaaldelijk terug, zoals een zéér sterke tendens om "koepelvormige ruimtetuigen" te zien, terwijl de getuigen in werkelijkheid een natuurverschijnsel of een reclamevliegtuig waarnamen. Ook de hersenspoeling door de grote media die alle UFO 's als "vliegende schotels met groene marsmannetjes" verklaren of wegcijferen, is één van de grote oorzaken voor misinterpretaties. Het is best mogelijk dat bepaalde delen van onze hersenen in staat zijn om in bijzondere omstandigheden (= nachtelijke eenzaamheid; na het zien of lezen van schrikwekkende sciencefiction verhalen,...) op bepaalde ogenblikken voor ons "levensechte ervaringen of beelden" te scheppen. Zeker wanneer de waarnemer ervan overtuigd is dat hij

een UFO ziet... Voor de meeste mensen staat UFO gelijk met VLIEGENDE SCHOTEL met GROENE MARSMANNETJES. Zo slaat de fantasie van de getuige snel op hol. Zijn onderbewustzijn vult de onbekende of ontbrekende details of leemten in zijn waarnemingaan. De Amerikaanse schrijver MARC TWAIN wist dit spitsvondig uit te drukken: --"YOU CAN NOT DEPEND ON YOUR EYES,

WHEN YOUR MIND IS OUT OF FOCUS !" (= je kunt je eigen ogen niet vertrouwen, wanneer je verbeelding op hol slaat!)

Misschien herkennen we deze ervaringen uit "dagdromen" of half wakker-fantasievol denken niet, die onze verbeelding(en) creëert,net zoals dat tijdens onze nachtelijke dromen gebeurt. Waarschijnlijk kunnen de onderdrukte gegevens of feiten (herinneringen) uit ons onbewuste een bepaalde graad van scheppingskracht teweegbrengen. Iets dat ons sterk shockeert of angst aanjaagt kan als negatieve reactie griezelige nachtmerries oproepen, misschien het wel opnieuw laten beleven van de bizarre feiten. Wat is er droom? Wat is er realiteit? De grens ligt vaak niet zo ver uit elkaar!

Mensen beleven soms levensechte, dramatische, psychologische gebeurtenissen, die niet in de buitenrealiteit liggen.

Sommige psychische mechanismen blijken in staat om soortgelijke ervaringen op te roepen bij meerdere niet met elkaar verbonden individuen. Onze kennis van de vreemde mentale en psychologische verschijnselen in achtnemend, kunnen wij in eender welk jaar verwachten dat één persoon op één miljoen een "realistische", nabije ontmoeting met een buitenaards wezen of

een vliegende schotel "ervaart". Deze veronderstelling alleen al vertaalt zich in vijfduizend "nabije UFO-ontmoetingen" of "ontvoeringen door een UFO" per jaar. Dit verklaart geenszins de verscheidenheid in de beschrijvingen per werelddeel, land of cultuur, waar vooral het plaatsen van een vreemd, onbekend waargenomen 'iets' in een bestaand referentiekader domineert, overheerst op het alledaagse...

2.3. UFO-MELDINGEN: VERVALSINGEN, ILLUSIES OF TRUCAGES...

Meerdere UFO-meldingen, foto's (vb. HESSDALEN, NOORWEGEN - de KODAK-publiciteitfoto, of de NAGORA-fotoserie, of bijvoorbeeld de ADAMSKI- en MEIER-foto's) en andere documenten (vb. de MAJESTIC 12-documenten) bleken achteraf vatbaar voor discussies over trucage of vervalsing. Publiciteitszoekers, fantasten, critici en onvolwassen grappenmakers vinden het fascinerend om bewust of " onbewust " vervalsingen of trucages over / van UFO 's te maken Dit vooral om aan te tonen dat alle UFO-meldingen VALS zijn.

Hun intenties zijn vooral de UFO-verdedigers of Ufologen belachelijk te maken. Niets is éénvoudiger dan dit, daar je als UFO-onderzoeker meestal slechts kan steunen op "getuigenissen van derden, uit de tweede hand verkregen". Door het onvolmaakt waarnemingsvermogen en de onbekende, onbegrensde verbeeldingskracht bij een eventuele UFO-waarneming is de realiteit steeds moeilijk te achterhalen of te scheiden van de verbeelding...

Achterdocht, voorzichtigheid en een zeer kritische instelling zijn een must voor elke objectieve UFO-onderzoeker. Goedgelovigheid straft zich vaak af en een wetenschappelijke onderzoeksmethodologie ter bestudering van UFO-meldingen is al lang een belangrijke noodzaak. Want als alle UFO-meldingen inderdaad misinterpretaties zijn van aardse fenomenen, optische illusies of vervalsingen blijken te zijn, dan mogen wij de E.T.-hypothese voor UFO 's vergeten. Maar zeker niet het bestaan van Aliën leven en intelligentie in het heelal.

Ik ben er van overtuigd dat tussen de massa data-, film en fotomateriaal over het UFO-fenomeen wel degelijk, authentiek en onvervalst bewijsmateriaal bestaat. Welke verborgen documenten, films en foto's van UFO 's liggen er nog steeds weggemoffeld in de geheime archieven van vele "landen", vooral dan van de USA en ENGELAND. Hun doel was altijd de aandacht van het groot publiek weghouden van het UFO-verschijnsel. Maak het belachelijk en de klus is geklaard. Zijn ze er in geslaagd? Die vraag moet je jezelf durven stellen...

Volgens mij hebben ze in samenwerking met de media hun indoctrinatie flink toegepast...

Het koren van het kaf scheiden! Als UFO-detective de 'misdaad' van de UFO-sighting opnieuw samenstellen en er een oplossing voor vinden, dat is onze moeilijke, maar niet onmogelijke opdracht. Het is niet omdat we kunnen aantonen dat één UFO-case, één crop circle, één biljet van 200 EURO, .... vervalst werd, dat gans het vreemde verschijnsel of het basispatroon vals en onbestaande is, niet? Onze onderzoeksmethodologie moet er op gericht zijn om deze vervalsingen, trucages en inbeeldingen zo snel mogelijk op te sporen, te identificeren en de vervalser zelf belachelijk te maken. Het ondoordacht handelen van vervalsers en mediazieke personages vind ik persoonlijk een misdaad tegen de mensheid. Waarom vraag jij wel af? Als het toch maar allemaal nonsens of larie is, als later blijkt dat het UFO-verschijnsel nefaste gevolgen voor de mensheid kan hebben en dat we er te laat tegen reageren, dan pas kunnen wij de omvang van hun 'misdaad' bepalen. Het voortdurend negeren van UFO 's als niet-bestaande is gewoon verder onze kop in het zand steken en alles proberen te verklaren in menselijke termen, maar wat als er voor de UFO 's toch geen aardse oplossing mogelijk blijkt...

2.4. NOG GEEN AFDOENDE BEWIJZEN GEVONDEN

Omwille van het hoog percentage van hoger vermelde, mis geïnterpreteerde waarnemingen en weloverwogen "vervalsingen" en trucages, vereist een JA antwoord, op onze vraagstelling over de ET-theorie zéér duidelijke, overtuigende en reële bewijsstukken voor de Aliën bezoekers en hun ruimteschip.

In feite vinden wij na vijftig jaar UFO-onderzoek weinig zéér degelijk onderzochte UFO-waarnemingen en daardoor ook weinig overtuigend bewijsmateriaal, vooral voor de ufologen die het materiaal zeer grondig napluizen. Zo kreeg het rapport van S.O.B.E.P.S., namelijk "VAGUE D' OVNI SUR LA BELGIQUE", gepubliceerd in september '91 zeer veel kritiek van een bepaalde groepwetenschappers, ondanks het feit dat meerdere van hun collega's hieraan meewerkten (L. BRENIG, A. MEESEN,…) Volgens de kritiekgevers was het rapport onvoldoende wetenschappelijk gestructureerd om tot een E.T.-conclusie te komen. Meestal vertikken deze "hoogstaande" wetenschappers om ZELF aan veldonderzoek te doen. Kritiek geven met hun luie kont vanuit hun zetel is veel gemakkelijker!

Vaak blijft er twijfel bestaan over al deze "getuigenissen" uit tweede hand verkregen, meestal omwille van hun absurd karakter en hun ongeloofwaardigheid. Het amateuristisch karakter van het SOBEPS-onderzoek en het ander UFO-research is doorgaans te wijten aan de laksheid en de koppigheid van de wetenschappelijke wereld die weigert het UFO-verschijnsel "au serieux" te nemen.

Ze weigeren om hun "effectieve methodologie en testsystemen" ter beschikking te stellen van het onderzoek naar esoterische verschijnselen. Onderzoek zonder direct financieel voordeel laten zij volledig links liggen. De Ufoloog heeft meestal slechts zijn idealisme om UFO-onderzoek te doen. Ook de wetenschap maakt dezelfde redeneringsfout die het grote publiek maakt. Welke?

Door het vaststellen van het trukeren of het vervalsen van één specifiek UFO-case en de grote reclame daar over, besluiten deze "slimme" onderzoekers veel te snel dat het allemaal nep is. Dus de UFO 's zijn de moeite van hun onderzoek niet waard. Als je de miljarden dollars bekijkt die ze jaarlijks aan het wetenschappelijk ruimtevaartonderzoek besteden, kan ik toch moeilijk begrijpen waarom er niets afkan voor een openlijk UFO-onderzoek. Het APOLLO-ruimtevaartproject kostte ongeveer 2.000 miljard BEF om een mens op de maan te brengen. Het spaceshuttleproject kost ongeveer 1.370 miljard BEF voor 10 jaar,... een ruimtestation wordt geschat op +/- 1.200 miljard BEF,… Hoeveel officieel belastingsgeld besteedden wij al aan het UFO-onderzoek? Het antwoord is zeer vlug berekend en gegeven... O EUR!

Zolang je als UFO-onderzoeker zelf niet de totaliteit en realiteit van het complex UFO-verschijnsel kan beleven of ervaren, blijft het enorm moeilijk voor je om een degelijk inzicht en overzicht van het fenomeen te krijgen. Geen enkele Ufoloog durft er actueel "zijn hand voor in het vuur steken" of er "zijn kop op verwedden" dat een bepaalde UFO-melding echt authentiek en van buitenaardse oorsprong is. De negatieve kritiek van de massamedia, de vele valse meldingen of trucfoto 's (waaraan de pers dan veel aandacht besteed, bijvoorbeeld zie de cirkelvervalsers uit ENGELAND; dit werd zelfs wereldnieuws!!), de onzekere houding van de wetenschapswereld en vaak de onmogelijkheid tot bewijskracht, stellen het UFO-verschijnsel regelmatig in vraag !! Daarbij komt dat wie niet wil zien of horen, ook nooit iets zal zien of horen. Met andere woorden hoeveel bewijsmateriaal er ook mag bestaan; noch de tegenstanders, noch de wetenschap aanvaardt het bestaan van het UFO-verschijnsel!

En de stelling van de wetenschappers en de sceptici dat de bal in het kamp van de Ufologen ligt om met afdoend bewijsmateriaal voor UFO 's voor de dag te komen, is wel aanvaardbaar en volkomen logisch, maar ook een zéér simplistische redenering...

Behalve wanneer de intelligentie achter het UFO-verschijnsel alles in het werk stelt om dit bewijsmateriaal verborgen te houden en dat... sommige overheden hieraan meewerken om massahysterie bij de bevolking te voorkomen. We moeten ons toch ernstig de vraag durven stellen waarom wijzelf en de wetenschap weigeren de duizenden  bestaande kwalitatieve getuigenverhalen ernstig te nemen? Zij wij zo bang voor een E.T.-antwoord? Of is het UFO-verschijnsel effectief enkel een mythe, gevormd door de Science  Fiction, de media en de diverse believers...

2.5. AMATEURISTISCHE AANPAK, WEINIG WETENSCHAPPELIJKE GEFUNDEERDE RESEARCH

Burgerlijke, individuele Ufologen, die de vele UFO-meldingen op amateuristische vrijetijdswijze benaderen, zijn meestal onvoldoende geschoold (= wetenschappelijke opleiding) en onvoldoende praktisch getraind om echt veldonderzoek te verrichten. Dit is niet alleen zo in onze contreien, maar ook in vele andere landen! Dit is een zeer spijtige vaststelling. Toch treedt er in de USA met het

MUTUAL UFO NETWORK (M.U.F.O.N.) met zijn UFO-JOURNAL en zijn vele wetenschappelijk geschoolde adviseurs en onderzoekers al jaren een kentering op.

De laatste jaren ben ik er meer en meer van overtuigd dat enkel teamwork tussen Ufologen en wetenschapsmensen van diverse strekkingen een kans tot slagen maakt om voor eens en voor altijd kmaf te maken met het complex UFO-verschijnsel! De praktische aanpak van PROJECT HESSDALEN, opgezet door de UFO-groepen uit NOORWEGEN, ZWEDEN en DENEMARKEN, om de vreemde lichtverschijnselen in de HESSDALEN-vallei, NOORWEGEN, te bestuderen is een schitterend voorbeeld van "teamwork" en hoe dit tot stand kan komen. Ook bij het onderzoek naar de Belgische DRIEHOEK-waarnemingen van november 1989 tot midden 1991, probeerde S.O.B.E.P.S., de rijkswachters en de Belgische luchtmacht een team klaar te zetten om waarnemingen te doen. Noch in HESSDALEN, noch in BELGIE vonden de onderzoekers voor de vreemde waarnemingen echter een volstrekt afdoende en solvabele oplossing.

Iedere keer brachten de veldonderzoekers verschillende oplossingen naar voren, maar elke keer verworpen de "zetel"-wetenschappers deze, zonder dat ze met alternatieve oplossingen naar voren kwamen. Ik heb niets tegen kritiek. Kritiek moet bestaan, moet mogelijk blijven, maar moet wel opbouwend zijn! Uit onze fouten van het verleden leren om naar een betere onderzoekstechniek te evolueren, om naar een objectieve methodologie in de studie van het UFO-verschijnsel en de andere vreemde fenomenen te streven, dat moet ons hoofddoel zijn. Error par error, you'll find the truth... Dit doel moet niet alleen bij de Ufologen bestaan maar ook bij de wetenschapsmensen groeien...

Het UFO-fenomeen is zo complex, dat volgens mij één enkeling of één wetenschapper onmogelijk de oplossing van het raadsel kan vinden. Bij een UFO-melding gaan eenvoudig één of twee amateur Ufologen op onderzoek uit, veeleer dan een getraind team met een uitgebreid scala van bekwaamheden, van diepgaande onderzoekstechnieken tot geavanceerde hulpmiddelen om eventuele "bodemstalen", stralingen of andere, mogelijke restanten terug te vinden, op te meten en te verzamelen voor later labo-onderzoek.

Wij kunnen ons inderdaad vragen stellen over de kwaliteit van de tot nu toe verzamelde UFO-data... Waar ligt de schuld?

Bij de Ufoloog die zijn uiterste best doet, of bij de wetenschapper die veinst dat er niets gebeurt?

Het lezen van boeken, artikels, tijdschriften over UFO 's; het zelf schrijven van UFO-rapporten of -artikels; het natrekken van UFO-meldingen 'on the field'; een doctoraatstitel in een bepaalde wetenschap... maken van mij, van jou nog geen objectieve, getrainde veldonderzoeker. Vaak is elke Ufoloog onbewust subjectief! Hij wil ten alle prijzen bewijzen dat UFO 's realiteit zijn, geen belachelijke, tweedehands vrijetijdsbesteding en zeker de moeite van zijn onderzoek waard. Hij zal zijn visie over UFO 's veralgemenen en tot axioma proberen te  maken en ambtshalve alle dogma's daaromtrent kritiekloos slikken...

2.6. EEN VASTE KIJK OP DE E. T.- HYPOTHESE

Teveel UFO-onderzoekers zien enkel de E.T.-theorie als pasklare oplossing voor het UFO-raadsel. Voor hen zou dit beter E.T.-geloof (= religie) heten, dan een hypothese... Sommige Ufologen interpreteren elke UFO-melding in het belang van hun persoonlijke visie, namelijk de ET-hypothese Dit is een welbepaalde vorm van "geleid, subjectief" onderzoek en zeker geen objectief streven naar de waarheid achter het verschijnsel... Zij zijn zodanig geobsedeerd door het buitenaardse of de Aliën verklaring voor het UFO-verschijnsel, dat ze alles in het werk stellen om deze exotische stelling te bewijzen en soms niet willen inzien dat voor een bepaalde UFO-melding een conventionele verklaring bestaat (kan bestaan)... Ook de wetenschapsmensen deinzen er niet voor terug om dezelfde methode toe te passen. Om hun stelling te bekrachtigen dat alle UFO-meldingen hallucinaties, misinterpretaties of illusies zijn van bekende natuurverschijnselen, gebruiken zij in hun boeken of rapporten net alleen IFO 's of misinterpretaties en optische illusies! Over de ECHTE UFO 's zwijgen ze in alle talen... Zo kan iedereen alles verklaren wat hij wilt!

In een lovenswaardige poging om de objectiviteit en de geldigheid (= bepaalde waarde) van toekomstige ondervragingen te verkrijgen, toonde een bepaalde, prominente Engelstalige Ufoloog de zwakheid van de interviews van UFO-meldingen uit het verleden

aan: = " Veel van ons, Ufologen, hebben eenvoudig een probleem met hun houding: een meteoor vinden als verklaring, voor iets dat eerst een onbekend verschijnsel leek te zijn, wordt hoe dan ook als ZWAKHEID beschouwd, een teleurstelling of tijdverlies...

Een ontstellend gebrek aan overeenkomst heeft het proces (= ondervraging) verdraaid, daardoor duizenden UFO-gevallen verwrongen, vervalst en ze soms nutteloos gemaakt... Wegens het vooroordeel en de slordigheid van de onderzoeker worden er onvoldoende voorbereidingen getroffen voor het gesprek; vaak kiest hij een ongeschikte omgeving uit.

Overdreven " lichaamstaal " (voorbeeld enthousiasme in stem, blik...) van de ondervrager ontlokt "kortsluiting" in het terug samenstellen van de feiten. Onaandachtig luisteren leidt tot het ontbreken van belangrijke gegevens of verkeerde samenstellingen of interpretaties door de ondervrager...

Het leiden van getuigen met één van beide vragen en referenties tot het "tuig" of de "UFO" schept stellig een verkeerd beeld."

Aandachtig en gedegen onderzoek door een niet vooraf ingelichte scepticus vindt soms uit dat vroeger onderzoek van ufologen sommige natuurlijke voor de handliggende verklaringen over het hoofd zagen. Dit bewijst dat de toekomst nog vele UFO-gevallen zal oplossen op een natuurlijke, conventionele wijze. Het UFO-verschijnsel en de ontvoeringen door Aliëns blijven verder evolueren.

Waar eindigt dit? Ik moet je het antwoord schuldig blijven. Misschien brengt de landing van een " VLIEGENDE SCHOTEL" in de tuin van het WITTE HUIS in WASHINGTON, of op het RODE PLEIN  in MOSKOU of op de GROTE MARKT in  BRUSSEL ooit  uitsluitsel.

Enkel de toekomst brengt voor dit fenomeen raad. Intussen zoeken wij, Ufologen verder naar de waarheid achter dit vreemd verschijnsel!

Ik kan je nog enkel deze raad meegeven;

ZOEK HET NIET IN HET BUITENAARDSE, ALS EEN CONVENTIONELE AARDSE VERKLARING VOLSTAAT...
