The devil can certainly grazig grassy very well Christians, being just a little bit unattentive. He is greedy enough. - He prowls around like a roaring lion lookimg for someone to devour, 1 Peter 5 v 8 - always he wants to tempt, in a certain way of saying it is his profession; just like he watched upon Jesus...so he tries to pursuit the followers of Jesus, Matthew 4 v 1. You should not indulge him by carelessness or 'backsliding' - do not fall harmlessly in his snares laid for you, ( 1 Timothy 3 v 7). Regularly take counsel with God the Holy Spirit . Stick to the rule: "What would Jesus do". - Resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4 b 7
At the end of times satan falls down from heaven . But he uses this defeat for a fierce robber( Revelation 12 v 12).
God does take care of you...and he does take you in protection. But your spiritual armour you ought to handle yourself.
Satan in the swiftly approaching endbattle will attempt ' to close the door very strongly behind him', making as many victims as he only can.
