God is het middelpunt van alles....wij - mensen- niet
What is the centre of our life ?
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, famous president of U.S.A. one time said: "Don't ask 'what can my country do for me'. Better ask: 'what can I do for my country' ". Absolutely right.
But on a far higher level also can be asked: "What can God serve me the best", while should be asked: "How can I serve God the best".
Isaiah 43 v 7 says: "( Bring back to me) everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory". And this is an important thing. God created his church FOR HIS GLORY. (He created all mankind for his glory and he wants to have all mankind part of his church. But they should say " Yes" themselves. )
And the same thought we find back in Ephesians 1: In v 3 to 6 you find the most blissed things, but the end is : TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORIOUS GRACE.
And then it goes on with the sweetest thoughts.... I urge you to read yourself .... and again it ends in v 10: "TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY".
And again, till it culminates in v 14 anew in: TO THE PRAISE OF GOD'S GLORY".
Now the initial idea of all believers could be: - God sent US our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed US in the heavenly realms with every special blessing in Christ, (3). - In love God has predestinated US to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ( 5) - In him WE have redemption through his blood, - WE have the forgiveness of sins, ( 7). - God's grace lavished on US with all wisdom and understanding, ( 9) - God made known the mystery of his will to US (9) - In Christ WE were also chosen,( 11) - WE were included in Christ when WE heard the word of truth, the gospel of OUR salvation. - WE were marked in Christ with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, ( 13).
Now you can easily belief, that WE mankind, are the centre of all things, for it all is said here about the blessings, that are there for US. And so the idea can come, that one time, when things do not come so swiftly as we had wished..... healing, a better job, a proposal ..... then the Lord is unpredictable in our sight.
In series 2, just begun, I answer to a question of a young lady, who is upset, that the Lord is not healing her. In my answer I refer to the apostle Paul, who tells us in 2 Corinth 12 v 7 , that an angel of satan is tormenting him. And the Lord God does not take it away.
( oh yes ...besides...: when does come a question in series 2 from you, members of this forum. Also awake your sons and daughters to ask questions).
So the big lesson is this: God is good...but because his ways ar far above our ways, he seems to be unpredictable sometimes. But try to be always like this: God is not Santa Claus, but all things serve him and all things are in the end for HIS GLORY AND MAJESTY. So ....if some situations are not clear to you, always say: "O...Lord...Ik know myself saved by your Son. I want to become the likeness of your Son , (Romans 8 v 29). And I know that a big group of ' likenesses of your Son' .... the 144.000 from Rev.7 v 1- 6 and ' the great multitude' from Rev. 7 v 9 - 17. ......is also to the glory of your name. And in the sight of all these wonderful things o Lord, I trust in you, whatever is your way with me.
