Hello all

You in U.S.A. are making the same suppositions as we always have done in Holland.

Before my birth, in 1910, and so the whole western world was caught by the new power in Asia , the Japanes empire and there was much talking of 'the yellow danger' as a coming threat in endtimes.

When I was a child I heard talking about 'the new Roman empire', that would come at the end of times, just before Jesus should come back. They were busy in those days - 1920- with Mussolini in Italy.

When I was a teener- in 1930 a.s.o.- they were talking about Germany, where Hitler came to power, as if he were the antichrist .

When I was a twen they spoke very long about communism and Russia, the Sovjet union and they made end time fantasies wit Ezekiel 38 and 39 and that power.
This talking went on to the eighties, when the S.U. collapsed.

And now they are talking about the Muslim world.

But it will be all quite else.

Our only goal now and in the future is to strive for this : to be a member of the universal congregation, Jesus is preparing , ( see Eph 5 v 25:
"Jesus loved the church ( the congregation) and gave himself up for her,
26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word and present her to himself as a radiant church , without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless".

That is the goal of Jesus with us. It is possible to be such a wife for him as congregation. But the road to it is the being filled with the Holy Spirit with all his gifts and fruit.
