There is good news. Romans 5 v 5 says: "God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit he has given us'. Now God's love , about which you are so joyful, is something he wants to give to US. His Holy Spirit, being also God, pours it out in us, people. All this has been made possible by Jesus. His cry from Golgotha: "Fulfilled, "( John 19 v 30), was the beginning of a new area.
The Holy Spirit, in the Old Testament coming over people at some times, is now constantly with us to tell us the great works of Jesus and making it thus, that we understand still more of Jesus' deeds and importance. And he also tells us sweet things about God, to whom he is leading us, if we clench our hand in his hand.
And that idea, that God's love is now beginning to awake in our hearts, is so overwhelming. Lord Jesus has said in Romans 8 v 29, that he wants that we become like him. For there is standing: "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers".
And now Jesus is preparing his church to be his wife, for in Eph is standing, 5 v 27: "Jesus loved the church and gave himself up for her, to make her holy, cleansing her by washing through water by the word and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless".
And at a far later stage, Jesus and the church will be the bride of God, as is said in Rev. 21 v 9: " Come...I will show you the bride, the wife of the lamb".
Jesus , with the same love as the Father and his wive, the congregation ( church), also with the same love as the Father, will then be together the bride of God.
And at a still later stage God will be all in all.. For 1 Corint. 15 v 28 says: "The Son will be made subject to him ( God)who put everything under him, ( the Son), so that God may be all in all"..
O..how beautiful idea, that things will be some day like this. Let us already now try to exploit and use in prayer and thanks that love of God, poured out in our hearts.
