My loves,
Last week I read psalm 148.
The writer is full of praise. And he awakes everybody, every thing, every creature to praise with him the Lord.
- angels, heavenly hosts, sun , moon,1- 3 - shining stars, highest heavens, 4 - waters above the sky, - great sea creatures, ocean depths, 7 - lightning , hail, snow, clouds, stormy winds, 8 - mountains, hills, fruit trees, cedars, 9 - wild animals, cattle, small creatures, birds, 10 - kings, nations, princes, rulers, 11 - youth, old men, children, 12 And he ends his praisings: "The name of the Lord is splendour, above the earth and even above all heavens.13.
This is great to think it over. So often we hear about all differences between Christians. But is it not a good thing to realize ourselves, that the creatures, mentioned above, are standing for the whole of God's creation.
In a short time from now many of you are going on holidays. And some of you will see the splendour of God's creation. Then try to praise him, as the poet of this psalm did and I daresay: you will become joyful and very happy. For he is your God, if you accept Jesus Christ, his Son, as your Redeemer.
And then, most humble, knowing it is all grace and mercy from him, you can realize, that you are God's children , striving through the Holy Spirit for holiness and glorification, as Jesus was glorified on the mountain, in his transfiguration, Matthew 17.
All these great things are awaiting the strugglers, who struggle and strive therefore and who don't take it easy.
And in the end you will see : "the praise of all his saints. (spiritual) Israel, the people close to his heart`, 14. For all promises are for you, now and here, not for other people in other times and in other countries.
You will stand in the glory of your master, the Creator of all things.
Greetings Ger
