Nowhere in the bible is standing that 'being cremated' is a sin. But in old Israel it was always a habit to be buried. And always, when the apostles are talking about dying, they get their examples from 'a burial'., ( 1 Corinth 15 v 42- 45).
Now you can say it is a good habit to bury dead people, but it is not good to say, that cremation is a sin.
An example: lately there was this question in Holland; "is smoking a sin". I have answered then: "No" pointing to Galatians 3 v 3: "Are you so foolish ? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort".
The Galatians were introducing all sorts of Jewish laws of not eating this or not drinking that or not doing this and not acting like that.
And in the early pentecostal times in Holland, there came already 'a new time' law: "Thou shalt not have a television". and: "You shall not read the Telegraph, ( a journal) and of course: "You shall not smoke". But soon we stepped down from those things as 'rules'.
Of coure it is bad to smoke, but we cannot win heaven by 'no smoking'. Of course it is no habit in Christian circles to be cremated, but you cannot go to heaven, because you have been buried instead of cremated.
Galatians 5 v 1: "It is for freedom, that Christ has set us free . Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a joke of slavery, : ( neither by self - 'fabricated' rules, not finding their firm cementing in the bible).

They always try to come back. Yiou read this even in the history of Jesus. When the devil had given him all these difficulties in the desert and Jesus conquered , there is saidMatthew 4 v 11.: "The devil left him".
But...he came back, although Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit for the full 100%. You read that in Matthew16 v 23. When Peter became a temporary instrument of satan , saying: "Never Lord...this (the cross) shall never happen to you, ( 22), Jesus says: " Out of my eyes , satan".
Although you try to be filled with the Holy Spirit of the Lord to the utmost, the devil , who is absolutely lawless, will come back from time to time to tease you.
But you know wat James 4 v 7 says: "Resist the devil, ( of course in the name of Jesus)(Mark 16 v 17)...and he will flee from you".
But during all your fights you will become stronger and stronger.
How did you write this verey clearly: i will get all unfaithful thoughts against God.some fear will strike me. "will i see victory in my life" what will my son do. will i be put in shame? How to search a proper match for my daughter? will God give me long life. i feel satan is always tempting me one way or the other. I feel to over come all these fears, i need the touch of the Holy Spirit. please do, pray for me that all these fears should go away from me. and i should feel Gods presence all the days of my life. give me some encouraging words thank you
My reaction What can we do for you all of us with our hearts, burning for love for you. We understand this all so well, all of us: the fears, that can come up in the heart of a mother of children.
At first: satan is playing his part. What you however can know, is this: James 4 v 7 says; "Resist the devil and he will flee from you". Of course you do this in the name of Jesus.
But just herebefore Pastor David made me thinking of something else: Psalm 50 v 23 says; "He who sacrificies thankofferings honours God and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God". It is so very very good to praise the Lord God for his great deeds.

Ich versuche mit aller kraft nicht wütend auf meinen Gott zuwerden aber doch kommt auch wenn ich es nicht will dieser Zorn immer wieder in mir hoch. Ich weiss ja das es menschen gibt denen es schlechter geht aber ich will doch einfach nur freude am leben haben. Meint ihr ich verlange zuviel? Will Gott mich testen?

Dein Schreiben hat folgende Hauptmomente: - seit drei Monaten bin ich wieder bei Gott zurück - Ich wünschte wohl dasz Gott mir Verzeihung gibt für alles was ist passiert - aber in diesen drei Monaten habe ich so viel schlechtes erlebt: Depressionen. Körperlich geht es schlecht. Finanziël geht es schlecht. - Ich kann auch nicht auf dem rechten Weg bleiben mit Gott. Es ist als wie eine böse Macht mich verleiten wollte - Ich kann doch so böse werden auf Gott; das ist nicht gut, aber immer wieder kommt das in mir auf. - Will Gott mich testen.
- Das ist eben das beste was ein Mensch tun kann: zurückkehren zu Gott. Der verlohrene Sohn aus Lukas 15 tat das und liest du bitte die Geschichte: der Vater war so liebenswürdig zu ihm und er bekam Verzeihung. - Und das ist eben dasselbe dasz du erwarten könnst: Verzeihung. Why going so far?! Protestant, Baptist and Catholic....they have one central person: Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is alive. He is God and man. He is now on the righthand of God the Father and following 1 John 2 v 1 : "...he is there to speak to the Father in our defense".
And Jesus Christ has seen you amongst all the nearly seven billion members of mankind and he knew it was now the time for you to be awakened. He sent God the Holy Spirit to make it like this that you were drawn to Christianity.
And for the moment it does not matter that there are several points of view amongst the people, who follow Jesus Christ.
That is a thing we can talk of at a later stage. But the thing for now is, that Jesus can change everyone like this as is said in Galatians 5 v 22: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol".
And whoever shoudl not love it to be like that.
Jesus is calling you and he sent you his Holy Spirit, who wants to tell wonderful things to you.

Revelation 11 has such an important message to us.
V 1: I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshippers there. But excluse the outer court ; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.
You all know that there are a thousand ways to explain Revelation. Give me a chance to give to you the thousand-and-first way.
In the last days, when the antichrist is ruling , in awaitance of the everlasting kingdom of Lord Jesus, which is about to arrive, there is only one place to be save. That is: being in the immediate presence of the Lord in his unvisible temple. Being filled with his Holy Spirit, thinking the way God is thinking, looking to the world in the way he is looking to the world.
But the Christianity, who have not had the idea in their brain to be filled with the Holy Spirit of the Lord.....they are not IN the temple, but they are in the outer court, where it is NOT safe to be. Even the five foolish virgins from Matthew 25 are in the outer court, vainly trying to get into the temple. They made their way to meet the bridegroom, but they did not have enough oil of the Holy Spirit in their lamps. In the outer court the devils reign for a bad period of one 'year', for a worse period of ' one year' and for an utmost worse periode of 'a half year', symbolically.
V 3: And I will give power to my two witnesses. and they will prophesy for 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
The question is : who are these two witnesses ? - They are NOT Joshua and Zerubbabel, , mentioned in Zechariah 4 v14 . They are only alike to them on a bigger scale. These two men from the Old testament built up the temple after the exile. The ´two witnesses' build up the new temple of the Lord, the invisible temple of the Lord. And that after those long, long years of misunderstanding from the first coming of Jesus, till his second coming.
They are NOT Moses and Eliah. They are only alike to them on a bigger scale Eliah had the power to shut up the sky so that it would not rain. But they have the power to shut up the world of the Lord, so that heavenly rain cannot fall down upon mankind, loosing the sight on the real purpose of the Lod to build a new heavenly temple.( v 6) Moses had the power to turn the waters into blood and to do other great miracles in Egypt. But the two witnesses have the power to withold the blessings of the Lord from the earth in those days coming..trhose days of big revolt of a part of mankind, inspired by the antichrist.
But who ARE the two witnesses. They are YOU, when you go on with 'filling your lamps with the oil of the Holy Spirit and finding the way to the feast with the bridegroom NOT blocked by your own negligence.
If any one tries to harm YOU, fire comes from YOUR mouth and devours YOUR enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm YOU , must die, (5).
But who are the people who want to harm you. Those people are not the people, being indifferent to Christianity, bur these are the Christians , not having reached all the possibilities,the Lord has ready. The good things are always enemous to the better things.
So the persevering followers of the Lord will be the most hindered by the no persevering Christians. The most enemous of these 'backsliders' or 'not adult' believers will have become so reluctant that they even want to destroy you, perseverers. But ...spiritually they are destroyed themselves by the words of love, salvation AND fire coming from your mouth, words of grace and mercy, that do not reach them as such.
Now at the end of YOUR testimony the 'backsliders' will hand you over to the beast, the inhabiting evil spirit in the antichrist and the beast will kill you (7).
And all the people, living with their mind on this earth and not in the heavenly realms, will have big feast, because they only have thought of you as ' bores, naggers and so on'. But in fact they are glad you are dead, because you always made an appeal to their deeper knowing: "They are right and I am wrong. I should like to be with them, but I am forced to be bitterly against them".
Big feast during 3½ days. Everyone knows you are absolutely dead after such a period.
But after those 3½ days.....: A breath of life from God entering you !!!! Now you stand on your feet. Terror everywhere, (11).
And....just like Lord Jesus after 3 days..... He drank the bowl on thursday-evening and from then filled with all the bad things of all people of all times, even with the sins of the grandchildren of your grandchildren..... he was spiritually dead from that moment ......they entered into the invisble world in an cloud, just like Lord Jesus.
And then there is a big, last revival. Many people seing this.... say " NO" and perish in an earthquake, symbolically... they have lost their last chance ..... but others , belonging to the 'backsliders', the ' non perserverers', say "YES" and are saved at the very last moment.
Oh my dear friends...try to belong to the witnesses. Don't venture that you say "Yes" on the very last moment. Imagine that you should say "No".

Nein; zuerst haben Adam und Eva gesündigt. Die Sünde is nicht vererblich. Das ist ein falscher Gedanke, den man ´Erbsünde´ nennt.
Dieser Gedanke ist von Augustinus zum ersten Mal auf Schrift gestellt worden. Aber die Wahrheit steht in Epheser 6 v 12: `Denn wir haben nicht mit Fleisch und Blut zu kämpfen , sondern mit Mächtigen und Gewaltigen, nähmlich mit den Herren derWelt, die in dieser Finsternis herrschen, mit den bösen Geistern unter dem Himmel'' .
Der Teufel und seine Trawanten haben eine gute Position, weil sie unsichtbar für uns sind und uns unerwartet angreifen können. Kein Mensch kann diese Angriffe dauernd abwehren aus eigner Kraft und der Teufel fängt mit dieser Gewalt schon schnell an, wenn wir noch Kinder sind. So wird wahr , was Römer 3 v 23 sagt: `Sie (die Menschen) sind alzumal Sünder und mangeln des Ruhmes, den sie beim Gott haben sollten`.
Aber das ist ganz etwas anders als ´Erbsünde´. Wir, Menschen, haben, Haupt für Haupt, SELBST gesündigt und ´mangeln des Ruhmes´.

Der Antwort ist schon gegeben in Hesekiel 18 v 4;
"Jeder , der sündigt, soll sterben.."
Und Hesekiel sagt auch: 18 v 14 folgend...: Wenn der Vater dann aber einen Sohn zeugt, der alle diese Sünden sieht, die sein Vater tut- wenn er sie sieht und doch nicht so handelt.....soll der Sohn am Leben bleiben"
Also ist es nicht so dass die Kinder der Mörder auch im Gefängnis kommen..

Du bist selber ein Sünder, ebenso wie alle Leute. Aber dass auch die Anderen Sünder sind, ist für dich nicht von direkter Bedeutung: DU bist schuldig und DU musst Verzeihung empfangen. Und darum ist 'Gott das Wort' gekommen und hat sich auf Erden kennbar gemacht als Jesu Christus. Und er hat alle Sünden von allen Menschen getrunken, wenn er den Kelch nahm mit- in geistlichem Sinn- alle diese Sünden darin.... DEINE Sünden und auch die Sünden von den Enkeln deiner Enkel, (die noch getan werden müssen) und er hat sie alle ausgbüszt.
Und zwischen alle diese bleischweren Tröpfen war auch deiner Tropfen. Und die Verzeihung gilt für dich, wenn du zu Gott sagst mit deinem Herzen: "Dank HerrGott für das Opfer deines Sohnes...auch für mich".
Und dann der letzte Satz: Wozu dies alles. Hätte Gott nicht andere Möglichkeiten gehabt.
Gott ist gerecht. Er ist Liebe, aber auch...: gerecht. Sünden können nicht bestehen bevor ihn. Sie müssen ausgebüsst werden. Und das hat Gott selber gemacht. Bevor wir Jesum als Richter begegnen, war er unser Retter.
Ach...viel mehr zu erzählen. Aber das kommt vielleicht noch.
Hey, Letzten Dienstag ist mein Opa gestorben. Ich bin sozusagen bei ihm aufgewachsen, darum hat es mich wie ein Schlag getroffen... Am Donnesrtag wr die Beerdigung. Es war eine schöne Messe, auch wenn der Anlass nicht der tollste war. Der Tad meines Opas ist der Grund warum ich hier bin. Ich fühle mich gerade jetzt sehr einsam und alleingelassen. Ich kämpfe sehr mit diesem Schlag und weiß nicht genau wies jetzt weitergehn soll. Also ich meine im Thema glaube. Vllt kann mir ja jemand von euch einen guten Rat geben. From the holy scripture I know only three reasons, why a wife or a husband could leave her husband or his wife.
I begin with 1 Corinthians7 v 13 to 16: "If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
But....if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife.
From these verses I conclude, that there can be a situation, that a man - for instance- is ' no believer'. But his wife comes in contact with the evangely and the man says: "O K. sweetheart...do your thing. I remain with you. Perhaps times are changing".
But some day the 'unbeliever' might say: "It all lasts too long. I go away".
Now as long as he said: "I am o.k. with you, although you have become ' like that' " nothing changes. The wife is a very holy blessing, because she is in harmony with Jesus and God, a blessing, which blesses her children and also- though unknown by him- her husband. She should not alter such a situation. But when the man shuts the door close behind him, saying: "Now....bye bye...these doings seem to become permanent...I'm not going to go on with this..", the wife should not try to pray him back, even when he is 'unchanged'. Every Christian is called to the peace and harmony of God. A Christian finds this peace amongst the brothers and sisters in the Lord. One does not find his peace amongst the unbelievers. This advice; let the left wife make no further efforts to take up contact with her former husband. This form of evangelism is not after the will of the Lord, because it is cause of quarrel and unpeace.
So I conclude, that there are two well known reasons of divorce: - adultry of one of the two parties. Then the nuptial tie has already been broken. In my meaning divorce is not nesessary, but it is a possibility; there can be repairance, when the thing is incidental. - after having passed away of the marriage-partner, (Romans 7 v 3) - when a man sends away his wife, because she has become a Christian, or leaves her. In those cases a man or woman is not bound.

Zuerst ist es gut zu wissen, was Gott sagt in Jesaja 55 v 8: "Denn meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken , und eure Wege sind nicht meine Wege, spricht der Herr, sondern soviel der Himmel höher ist als die Erde, so sind auch meine Wege höher als eure Wege und meine Gedanken als eure Gedanken".
Gott ist der Allmächtige....nah ja das wissen sie ja alle. alle diese hohe Worte. Aber lasset uns darin ruhen dass wir seine hohe Gedanken nicht durchforschen können.
Aber natürlich können wir in aller Ehrfurcht wohl versuchen einiges zu sagen dazu.
Der HerrGott will seinen heiligen Tempel teilen mit einer Menschheit, die .... nach dem Worte von Epheser 5 v 27 ...."herrlich sei , die nicht habe einen Flecken oder Runzel oder etwas dergleichen , sondern dass sie heilig sei und unsträflich".
Um in diesen Tempel zu geraten, muss geprüft werden, ob die Mensche ihren freien Willen benutzen um zu Gott "ja"zu sagen oder auch "Nein".
Diee Antworten können nur absolut sicher kommen, wenn die Mensche in einer langen Kette von Ereignissen sich immer wieder bewähren als 'jasager'oder 'neinsager'.
Noch bevor es Mensche gab, waren da die Engel. Sie waren in der unmittelbaren Umgebung von Gott, sie wussten alles von ihm. Wenn sie 'Nein' sagten, so wäre das für alle Ewigkeiten entschlossen.
Hesekiel 28 zeigt, dass es ein hoher Engel gab, der "Nein" sagte, wann seine Prüfung kam..... der kommende Mensch ein SOHN von Gott....er, der hohe Engel nur ein DIENERr ....... und eine grosse Gruppe von Engeln war miit ihm. Er wurde aus dem Himmel hinweggetan und seine Aufgabe wurde es um die Mensche zu versuchen, ob sie "Ja" oder "Nein" sagen würden.
Aber Mensche, die zum Anfang " Nein" sagen würden, bekamen viele , viele neue Chancen. Die ersten Mensche für denen die Prüfung Gottes, die zusammenfiel mit einer Versuchung Satans, (das war der gefallene Engel) Statt fund, waren Adam und Eva. Sie gehorchten bei ihrer erster Prüfung an satan und das hatte grosze Folgen. Satan hatte nun freien Zugang zu der kommenden Menschheit un du weisst ja alle, was das bedeutete , schon in dem Fall Kaïn/Abel.
Der Kampf geht weiter. Alle Mensche, die je gelebt haben , leben und werden leben, werden oder wurden geprüft. Wer nach vielen, vielen Prüfungen (Versuchungen) endgültig "Nein" sagt, tut das für eigene Verantwortlichkeit. Wer nach vielen Prüfungen endgültig 'Ja" sagt, tut das durch den Gnaden von Gott, den unser Herr Jesus sagt, (Johannes 6 v 44): " Es kann niemand zu mir kommen, es sei dann, das ihn ziehe der Vater, der mich gesand hat".
Es bleiben viele Rätsel. Aber sie die alle als Schlussentscheidung "Ja" sagen zum Herrn Jesus, sind glückliche Mensche. Warte damit nicht zu lange, denn wenn sie das tun, wird es allmählig schwieriger. Jesus ist die die grosze Antwort von Gott auf die Rebellion von satan und die 'endgü;tigen 'Neinsager'.
Er ist gekommen um alle unsere Sünde... denn Sünder sind wir ja alle, (Römer 3 v 23): keiner kann die Angriffe wiederstehen des satans aus 'der Unsichtbarheit', (sein stärkstes Waffen) ....aus zu büssen. Und das hat er getan, wenn er den ganzen Becher mit allen Sünden von allen Menschen, (auch die Enkel deiner Enkeln), ganz leer getrunken hat unds rief: "Vollbracht".
Und schlieszlich können wir alle, (gewissen oder ungewissen) , (Romer 2 v 14), nur zu "Ja" kommen durch seinen Opfertod.

This text is standing in Luke 1.
Zechariah and Elizabeth....both of them honoured and 'feared' the Lord in uprighteousness. they loved to do, what the Lord had ordered and they avoided to do what he had forbidden. They were notg without sins. This showed itself out of Zechariahs unbelief, (18). But they made for themselves the following of the commandments and regulations of the Lord a matter of conscience.
'Upright in the sight of the Lord' does not mean that in the Lords eye they were by their way of doing without debt and totally corresponding to his law. It only means this: They were not only 'keeping up appearences'...: as far as onther people could see 'right and living after Gods laws'. No, in their 'inner person', their human spirit, they lived in ob****nce to God, be it with stumbling.
Now you can see it like this:
Romans 2 v 14 talks about Gentiles, who have very little light of God. But it shows that there ARE gentiles, who use the very tiny insight that they have in God to a level that is satisfactory in Gods eye. They show that they are 'Yes-sayers'. They had the fear of the Lord in the deepest of their human personality, their 'inner person'.
But the Jews from the old Testament had FAR more light . And Zechariah and Elziabeth were two specimen of Jews, who had not only Gods word at the outside of their being, but inside their deep heart
But nowadays Jesus has done his great work and left to us his Holy Spirit. We should have a righteousness, which is surely greater than that of the not-knowing Gentiles. We should have a higher righteousness even than the Phariseans, the old testament- 'uppper class', (Matthew 5 v 20).
We should have a righteousness, in which the Law of the ten Commandments is comprimed, not in the words "You SHALL not" but in the words 'you shall NOT" The menacing element has made place for the assuring element.
Now: - Gentiles, who were 'Yes-sayers', could do it very good and 'poorly' good - Jews, with their higher level' of 'righteousness after the Law'....when they were 'Yes sayers'... could do it very good and 'poorly' good. - Nowadays Christians , having the possibility by grace, by the sacrifice of Jesus and his glorious gift of the Holy Spirit, ...having the possiblility of the highest standard, can be- supposed they are ' yes-sayers'- pretty good and 'poorly' good. Let us all try to live after all the glorious possibilities, the grace of God has given for our time.
When you have read the answer to the first question, the answer to the second question is easy. There are the possibilities of living without stumbling. The heroes of Revelation 11 shall reach this standard. Let we all pray to God to have grace by him to reach higer than we do now.

Das Leben als Gottesdienst Ich ermahne euch nun, liebe Brüder, durch die Barmherzigkeit Gottes, daß ihr eure Leiber hingebt als ein Opfer, das lebendig, heilig und Gott wohlgefällig ist. Das sei euer vernünftiger Gottesdienst. Und stellt euch nicht dieser Welt gleich, sondern ändert euch durch Erneuerung eures Sinnes, damit ihr prüfen könnt, was Gottes Wille ist, nämlich das Gute und Wohlgefällige und Vollkommene. (Römer 12, 1-2)
Wie setzt ihr diese Bibelstelle in eurem Leben um? In dieser Hinsicht gehöre ich sicherlich noch zu den Anfängern. Es ist nicht leicht sich immer wieder dem Trend der Zeit zu entziehen. Für die meisten Menschen meiner Umgebung spielt der Glaube an Gott nur noch eine untergeordnete Rolle. Als gläubige Christin werde ich gerne belächelt und schnell als Außenseiterin abgestempelt. Wie sieht es in eurem Umfeld aus? Wie geht ihr damit um?

Vier starke Fragen: - wie setszt ihr diese Bibelstelle in eurem Leben um - könnt ihr sich dem Trend der Zeit entziehen - bemerkt ihr auch dass die Umgebung dich als ' untergeordnet' sieht, als' Aussensteher' . - wie sieht es in eurem Umfeld aus.
Vier Antworte: - ich pass soviel wie möglich diese Stelle in meinem Leben zu. Darin gelinge ich noch nicht all zu gut. Ich komme darüber noch zu sprechen. - ich kann mich besser dem Trend der Zeit entziehen, weil ich schon lange , - ich bin 84-in der Ruhestand bin und mit Karriëre u.s.w. nicht mehr zu tun habe. Aber ich habe vollen Begriff dafür, das jüngere Leute damit viel zu tun haben - das bemerke ich auch, dass man dinkt, das ich 'ein merkwürdiger Kerl' bin, wenn ich aus meinem eigenen Kreis ausgehe. Aber das geschieht mit mir nicht zu viel. - ich bin in meiner engen Umgebung umkreist von Leuten, die auch Herrn Jesus als ihren Befreier kennen. Und meine Kinder, die das Glück nicht haben, halten sich stille, weil ich eben ihr Vater bin.
Der Apostel sagt zuerst : "Christen sollen ihre Leiber geben zum Opfer"
Er spricht hier zu Christnen , die nicht nur wiedergeboren sind, sondern ´gefüllt mit dem Heiligen Geist Gottes'. Sie haben `Barmherzichkeit Gottes` Das bedeutet dass sie Rettung, Erlösung, Heilung und Erfüllung mit dem Heilgen Geist empfangen haben. sie können jetzt nach dem Willen von Gott leben. Auch der Körper is lebendig gemacht durch den Heiligen Geist (8 v 11) Er ist heilig, denn er ist 'apart' gestellt von den bösen Mächten . Er kann ein "Gott wohlgefällig Opfer" sein.
Aber du: wie bekommst du Teil daran. Gehe nur ruhig weiter mit dem Herrn und bete um die Erfüllung mit dem Geist.
Du wirst bemerken, dass Galater 5 v 22 Wirklichkeit in deinem Leben wird.. Da steht: "Die Frucht des Geistes ist Liebe, Freude, Friede, Geduld, Freundlichkeit , Gütigkeit. Glaube, Sanftmut, Keuschheit (Selbstbeherrschung sagen wir in Holland)
Wenn du an Gott fragst um diese herrlichen Sachen und wenn du bemerkst das dies dir gegeben wird, so wissest du, dass du gut auf dem Wege bist um dein Leib als ein Opfer an Gott zu geben, dass Gott wohlgefällig ist. Dann bist du auf den Wege um wirklich 'vernünftig' zu werden. Dann wird dein Sinn ' erneuert' . Dann erreichst du endgültig ' das Gute, und Wohlgefällige und Vollkommene'.

Well, I shall give my impression.
1 Jesus wants to have his glory through the disciples, given to him by the Father. ( v 10) Jesus' disciples are 'his stadtholders', his representants in the world. The disciples ought to be one as the Father and the Son are one, (11). He asks for the Father's protection for them, now that he is going to his Father himself(12) . He wants his children, his believers to have the same joy in their hearts as he (Jesus) has, (13) He prophecies over them that the hatred of the world shall certainly come to them, for they are not of the world, like Jesus was not of the world, (14). Jesus points out the devil as the real enemy, against whom the Lord shall protect them , if ( of course) they remanin with the Lord, ( 15) Jesus wants the Christians to spread his message wider, (20) Jesus wants the Christians to show his glory by being one witrh wih one another, (22)
Now I think , those are Jesus' goals for his church. And I think your first question to be answered with this, (one of the many possible opinions).
But how are the Christians of nowadays fulfilling this goal of their dear Jesus, so loved by them.
In many cases it could be better. Jesus gave one mighty help: the baptizm with the Holy Spirit with all his gifts and fruit. These are powerful means to spread Jesus' glory. They are known worldwide, but are not used bij every Christian.
Christians are not so ' one' as would be wishable. When you find another person and he is saying: "Oh...I love Jesus", and you see from his beliefworks, that it is o.k. with him, then you should feel 'one' with him. That should be better in the future than it is by now.
The world is hating the Christians, the devil is pursuing them, just as Christ has said. But Christians coming into difficulties, often are complaining, while the Lord has said, that they should be full of joy even then. Again a point of reflection.
The Christians always should be joyful, because they have such a splendid eternal future. They should not have to await so much of this -hating- world, but more of the coming eternal happy times. But there is not so much happiness as could be. Room for improvement.
Christians should see the devil as their main enemy, to be conquered with the armor of the Lord. But they often forget the evil one and fight a less efficient battle. Again: "boys and girls ...give the devil hell".
Christians should spread the evangely. But there are many of them, neglecting this task.
Now the answer to your second question is: Christians could do better. Much is reached...but far more is still to be reached. Come on...boys and girls.

Ein Satz in deinem Topic zog meine Aufmerkamheit an sich ins besondere: " Ich habe mich erst vor 3½ Wochen für den Christus entschieden...". Aber Jan....ich höre von den meisten Christnen, dass sie zuerst den lieben Herrn Jesus haben kennen gelernt und dass sie erst späterhin Gott den Vater und den heiligen Geist die Bekanntschaft haben gemacht. Gott der Vater, Gott der Sohn, und Gott der heilige Geist sind ein. Aber se kommen zu uns mit in sich die selbe Quelle von, (Galater 5 v 22: "Liebe, Freude, Friede, Geduld, Freundlichkeit, Gütigkeit, Santftmut"... und so weiter. Und Gott der Vater hat Gott den Sohn zu uns geschicket weiL er uns liebt und seinen Sohn zu uns wollte senden, um den Weg von Gott zu uns offen zu machen, (Johannes 3 v 16). Und der Sohn ist gekommen und hat alle Sünden von allen Menschen von allen Zeiten, in so weit als sie das für sichselber akzeptieren wollten, übergenommen und die für sie getragen.Und so machte er den Weg frei von Gott zu uns. Aber frag nicht, was das ihm gekostet hat. Und dann hat Gott der Vater Gott den Heiligen Geist gesand um es uns möglich zu machen um den vollen Weg zu ihm zurück zu finden. Und nun hast du allerhand Fragen. Warum ist Gott so stille. Warum spür ich nicht so viel vom Heiligen Geist. Sind es meine Sünde, die viele sind und sicherlich viele waren. Aber tue nun dieses - geh Jesum zu preisen dass er alle deine Sünde übernommen hat - gehe Gott preisen, dass er seinen ganzen Himmel leer gegeben hat um uns zu retten - gehe den Heiligen Geist zu loben und danken, dass er uns bei der Hand nehmen will und uns dichter an Gott heran zu bringen. - suche die Bekanntschaft anderer Christnen. In Amerika is het ook niet alles. Soms worden daar zulke vreemde meningen verkondigd. Zoals bijvoorbeeld, dat Jezus nu in de hemel toch nog in het huwelijk getreden is met Maria van Magdala. This topic I have read with in my remembrance 2 Thessalonians 3 v 2, which is in English: "Pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men for not everyone has faith". A dutch translation has here the word 'wargeesten', what in English is translated as 'muddleheaded people', somewhat more friendly.
At any case: do not pay too much attention to this writing. spend your time with all efficiency. Titus 1 v 13 writes: " Therefore ...rebuke them... (rebellious people and deceivers, v10) ...sharply, " They must be silenced , because they are ruining whole 'households'( the congregation also) by teaching things they ought not to teach(v 11)"
Yesterday in Germany I was asked, whether Adam and Eve had a navel. I have answered , that we should not give our strength of thinking to that sort of 'questions'.
Do not make too many efforts to talk to a 'mere talker', (Titus 1 v 10).
CHRISTMAS....we celebrate it as the greatest feast. And indeed: it is joyful. But it was still the beginning. God sent his Son to the world for the great solution. But at first there was only that baby....
EASTER.......it is the second in our celebrations: and indeed: big news. After those words : "Ït is finished", (John 19 v 30). the great work had been done. Our sins were taken over and atoned for by Jesus and he died, having done so. And on Easter, after having done a great work in the invisible world, he was resurrected and living for ever: greater than Christmas , the beginning, but still not the greatest.
But then came the day, that Jesus was crowned.
Daniel 7 v 17 says about this: "In my vision at night I looked, ánd there before me me was one like a 'son of man'...." and how often called Jesus himself 'a son of man' "....coming with the clouds of heaven..." and the disciples saw Jesus disappearing with those clouds. "He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority,glory and sovereign power; all people, nations and men of every language worshipped him His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed".
Ascension day is the day of coronation and 'coming into office'. This great day of Jesus is also our greatest day.
And the first deed of Jesus, being in power was to send out his Holy Spirit, by which we are blessed. But WHITSUNDAY is also a great feast, but does not be a match for Ascunsion day.
Let us be glad with all the feasts of Jesus. But let us not forget this day....

Aber...meine Liebe ...!!! ( ich nehme 'nur so 'an dass du weiblich bist, sonst Entschuldigung)...: das ist doch nicht gut...!!! Hebräer 6 v 4 sagt darüber schwierige und strenge Dinge. Hör mal: " Denn es ist unmöglich die, so einmal erleuchtet sind und geschmeckt haben die himmliche Gabe und teilhaftig geworden sind des heiligen Geistes (5)..und geschmeckt haben das gütige Wort Gottes und die Kräfte der zukünftigen Welt.. (6|) und dann NOCH abgefallen sind, wiederum zu erneuern zur Busze...." (Mensche können das nicht mehr, denn die Abgefallenen wissen ja alles.Gott aber kann es noch, wenn sie zurückkehren WOLLEN)
Es geht hier um Christnen, die sehr weit mit Gott gegangen sind, ja so weit, dss sie selbst getauft sind in den Heiligen Geist und von den Gaben wissen und die auch gehabt haben .
Aber sehr viele Leute sind nicht so weit auf den heilreichen Weg mit Gott gegangen, sondern sagen schon früher: "Äch...lass nur. Nun wieder etwas andres".
Aber auch zu diesen Leuten sage ich: "Kehr zurück auf den Liebvesweg von Jesus. Auf diesem Weg von ihm hinweg ist nur Unheil zu erwarten"
Und warum würde man von Gott sich abwenden. Ich bin 84 und Gott macht mich noch jeden Tag durch seinen Gnaden freudiger und freundlicher und voller Friedens.

Genesis 1 v 1 tells us, that God in the beginning made the heaven, the unseenable , the invisible world . The angels were created in this beginning. When God created the heaven, there were soon or somewhat later: the angels . After the invisible world God created the visible world....`the earth´ Job 38 v 4- 7´, partly: " Where were you Job, when I laid the earth´s foundation ..... while the morningstars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy".
All things between God and his angels on that moment were - seemingly- ' hand in glove'. But yet...yet...
Amidst the angels there was one special angel; Ezekiel 28 is telling about him;( v 12) " You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty (13) You were in Eden , the garden of God. Every precious stone adorned you : (...summary...) Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God ; you walked among the fiery stones You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created......".
What a glorious creature, this archangel, this 'guardian cherub' , this so- called 'stadtholder over the angels'. He could not rise further.
Yet .... ( v 15 b) ...." "till wickedness was found in you " and here is a keytext; "16): Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence ....and you sinned...." (Side-remark; there are also many Christians , working very diligent for the Lord, but at last through all their work FOR the Lord forgetting to obey TO him) "So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God and I expelled you , O ...guardian cherub.... from among the fiery stones...." ( marginal note: that's why many people call the devil before his fall: Lucifer, but this has no biblical background) (17) "Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor... ( marginal note: nowadays it could be imagined, that there might be Christians, so richly blessed with spiritual beauty, wisdom and splendor, that they begin to worship this beauty, wisdom and splendor and forget, that it is all grace) "So I ( God) threw you to earth..."
You have now seen, how satan became the origin of sin,. and yet his pitfalls were so actual; - proudness, for what he had got by grace of God - too busy with doing work FOR God and then forgetting to honour God
Isaiah also tells something of this sad story: ( 14 v 12): " How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn ! You have been cast down to the earth ... "You said in your heart: 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. (14) I will ascend above the top of the clouds I will make myself like the Most High"
These words from Isaiah mean this: ....I am an anointed guardian cherub. But I want more. I want to be standing ABOVE the angels, 'the stars of God'. I want to stand above the top of the clouds. For I have shouted for joy, when God made the visible world. But now I know what he meant with all this. He wants us angels, to be SERVANTS...and on that little planet of the plan'' he will make a creature, that becomes a SON. They will be the clouds, in which God dresses himself. Oh...I hate those creatures, even before they are there. I hate God, who wants to make me to a servant of ...of...them...!!!! I want to sit besides God and be his equal. Higher is not possible, but equal....that is my goal.
And when he had done so, he was expelled from heaven. His growing sin inside, (his own responsability, for he, as all the angels knew ervything of God), had now changed in haughtiness. And when he fell on earth, this was his first bad deed: He said: "Ï know that God has not created this 'planet of the plan' to make it a chaos... (Isaiah 45 v 18): "He who fashioned and made the earth , he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, (a chaos), but formed it to be inhabited"
And with his bad forces the devil caused the earth by an enormous explosion to be formless and empty and darkness was over the deep", (Genesis 1 v 2)
(Read furthermore what I have written in 'the Pulpit': the creation.).. But the Lord now uses the devil and his demons, (angels, misled by him and fallen with him) to test all people, whether they are ýes-sayers or no- sayers. And so this biggest of all no-sayers now has a negative task in the plan of God almighty to let it come clear, what is in the deepest heart of all mankind, individually.
The last thing I want to add is this. As I have already said: the angels did know everything. They were with God in his own world. So when they fell, it is unforgivable. But we, mankind know so little. We get many, many chances. And at the end not the devil will sit in the throne besides God. But Jesus is already there And the believers and trusters of God will be with Jesus in the throne of God, (Revelation 3 v 21)
