What Is This modern Object Doing In An Ancient Tomb?
- Scattered throughout the world are objects that could not possibly belong to the time period in which they were found. A human footprint contemporary with the dinosaurs? The skeletal remains of men and women long before humanity appeared on the planet?[…]Time travel is not only theoretically possible, but the future generations may already be engaged in it.” – Excerpt from JH Brennan’s book Time Travel: A New Perspective.
Modern science is at a loss when attempting to explain the possibility of time travel. But we’ve come a long way in the last century and there’s still a long way to go.
Perhaps humans from the future have been regularly visiting us. This would explain many out of place artifacts, such as the one below.
This object was discovered in December 2008 by a team of Chinese archaeologists when they were excavating a 400-year-old Ming dynasty grave. The Si Qing tomb located in Shangsi County had been sealed off four centuries ago so you can imagine the surprise the archaeologists had when they discovered a small metal object that wasn’t supposed to be there.
As they were removing the dirt around the coffin, they saw a small ring in the shape of a Swiss watch.
“When we tried to remove the soil wrapped around the coffin, suddenly a piece of rock dropped off and hit the ground with a metallic sound,” said the former curator of the Guangzi Museum, Jiang Yanyu.
The metal piece was marked ‘Swiss’ and looked like it had been there for a long time. However, watches were not present in the early 1600’s, making this little timepiece an out of place artifact.
Some believe this strange find is evidence of time travelers leaving objects behind while some believe it is a hoax. However, the tomb had been sealed for four centuries. Maybe the future holds the key to this mystery.
