UFOs Over London — We Investigate Latest Reports

The collective noun for a spate of UFO sightings is a ‘flap’ — which is exactly what some UFO sightees get themselves into. London’s skies have been flapping like crazy in the days around Christmas and New Year. As we previously reported, ghosts and out-of-place animals have dominated the strange news stories in recent years, but right now, it’s unearthly airborne objects that are causing a stir.

On 23 December, a video was posted on YouTube by a group called UFO Watch UK. The footage is called Group of White Orb UFO’s Over West London and the filmmaker, Mark Bennis, describes himself as a “a UFO watcher and researcher, and an avid enthusiast to this fascinating phenomenon”.

It’s a strange video and we weren’t sure what we were watching — perhaps distant birds or drones buzzing around. There is clearly a flight path in the area, and maybe some photographers were taking close-up shots of landing planes, with their drones. We showed the video to Sheffield Hallam University’s Dr David Clarke, author of The UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-life Sightings, who also thought these were drones — pointing out that one had got within 20ft of a plane at Heathrow in July 2014.

Mark Pilkington, writer of the book and film Mirage Men, was more cautious: “They could be balloons, or perhaps drones of some kind. For the time being anyway, I’ll have to agree that these are genuine UFOs — Unidentified Flying Objects.” This does not necessarily mean spaceships or inter-dimensional orbs — just something unidentifiable in the sky.

Meanwhile in Bexleyheath on 30 December, contractor Tony Histed was leaving his work site beneath gathering clouds. He looked up and saw “a bright light in the sky to the east” so he “stopped and watched it as it came across the sky towards the storm. Another light appeared in front of the first, and they both flew silently on into the oncoming storm.” Tony went back to the site and saw two more of these ‘orbs’ rise from the ground, level off and fly in a north-easterly direction. He was able to get one photograph which appeared in an 8 January 2015 news report, along with photos of Tony recreating the moment he saw the UFOs. He doesn’t look pleased to see them. Bexleyheath is a veritable UFO hotspot, having previously experienced close encounters of the first kind in 1952, 1955 and 2004.

The first UFO sighting of 2015 took place while the New Year fireworks were still exploding about the London Eye. One viewer not too distracted by trying to remember the second verse of Auld Lang Syne saw a circular light arcing around the wheel amongst the pyrotechnics. One YouTube comment advised that “It’s not uncommon for UFOs to be curious about our lights and electricity.” The UFO also got a very fine live view of the New Year fireworks without paying the Mayor of London’s office a penny.

The final part of the video below has a green object descend into the top right hand corner of the screen and gaze out as if it were scanning the viewer’s very soul.

The original footage has been picked up and shared among a number of UFO enthusiasts, and received a warmer and more credulous welcome than the original YouTube post. It looks like it has been filmed from a television screen by someone using a camera and the first UFO is clearly a camera drone filming the fireworks. That’s made even more evident when the footage cuts to an aerial shot of the London Eye, almost certainly taken from the drone itself. The green light is a little trickier to work out. Some have suggested it was the drone again, some that it was a decoration on the South Bank caught by an in situ camera. Others, noting that this is a screen being filmed, insist that someone has plopped an LED light or decoration between the camera and screen; hence the object’s jerky motion.

The day after, another UFO was spotted on some BBC footage. According to the poster’s Twitter feed this was an interview with someone from Clapham Rovers, during which time a UFO coasted into view from the right-hand side of the screen.

We can’t actually make anything out on the video except for sunlight breaking through the clouds and as there is no sound, and the video jumps from scene to scene, it’s hard to work out whether the video is linear or arranged in a way to make sunbeams look extra-terrestrial. Which they are, of course, but not in the way we’re talking about here.

Just to prove our point, seminal 1990s UFO show The X-Files is hovering back in to view and, just this very morning, Camilla Noble, of Caroline Road, Wimbledon shared her footage of ‘flashing spaceships’ filmed from her bedroom window with the Wimbledon Guardian. Camilla has been seeing UFOs regularly down in SE19: “Sometimes they will appear as fire-flies dots and sometimes as really really bright stars” she says, “then they stop and pretend to be a star and then they go in another direction and turn back into UFOs with flashing lights.”

London, of course, is full of wonders, and we shall continue to bring them to you from above, below, and all the stuff in-between.

It was approximately 12:35 pm on October the 7th when I was watching television and I had an immense urge to get up and go outside based on a force that was indescribable if there were a similar word to an intuitive brain response then that would be so. As I exited the 1st floor balcony door from the SW was a similar shape as a plane being downed in the scale of 2 747 back to back from about a 1/4 miles out with immense 2 beady bright star lighted beams of light that would throw most peoples senses off. However, I was well aware there were no airports in the close proximity and the size at the time of the aircraft was to immense. In complete and utter interest I was forced to stay in the exact spot on the balcony as this ship had gotten closer to my direct line of view. It was slightly hard to make out what I was at 1st viewing as it looked like a plane in distress from the angle it flew at 30 degrees. Within what seems like a minute closely between the proximity of the highest of tree lines to 750 came a cloaked like a cloud based triangle hoover craft in the dimensions of about 75 yards hovering by at 15mph over the tree line. The craft had a cylindrical orangey but different cylinder in the middle with no jet turbine. By all means the technology was extremely advanced to hold such as ship in it’s entirety in the air without hovering or jets. In this area these UFO are commonly spotted for quite some time never down so low. It was unearthly but the patterns of the lights as it got closer were much more intricate! For further detail as the metallic looking pattern of symmetry I am available for e-mail. This was a 100 percent identified to the most keenest of my abilities!  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

(N.Morgan) In the video presentation, done by Dahboo777, he shows what appears to be UFOs swarming around an active volcano, during an eruption, in Mexico. You must watch closely, but you see the objects appear and disappear in the sky above the volcano.This footage reveals very hard evidence of many UFOs caught zipping around the Colima Volcano In Mexico. They appear in frame right before, during and after the main explosion.

Lets be clear here. They are are not birds , drones or any other technology currently known to man. They are being seen more and more around volcanoes and they appear and vanish with lighting speeds. They may be able to evade the unaided human eye, but a closer examination of slowed footage tells the story. These things are everywhere.

 Mrs. Pat Norris, 28, lives with her husband, Carl, and three children in a suburb of Mobile, Alabama. On the evening of February 3, 1983, she had visited a friend in Mobile and when the friend’s husband arrived from work, Mrs. Norris left and headed home on Highway 90. She had turned off the Highway and when about 90 minutes’ ride from her home she heard an explosion. At this point, her car began to vibrate and continued to do so, making it difficult for her to steer. She negotiated another turn off the road she was on, brought the car to a halt, opened the car door and leaned out and down and looked to ascertain if the transmission could have been causing the trouble. It had not.  Mrs. N. continued driving and the vibrating stopped. She executed another turn onto another road and saw that the woods ahead were brilliantly illuminated. At first she thought that there was a helicopter search in progress because of the lights and was very frightened. She again stopped the car, and at this point sighted a huge object about l/2 mile west of her. She now feels the explosion she had heard earlier was the object coming down over a clay and gravel pit in the vicinity.

The thing was huge — later estimated to be 7 to 8 stories (70 to 80 feet) high and “six telephone poles” (210 feet) wide, and appeared to be moving toward her at 4-5 miles per hour. The evening had been clear and cool and she had driven with the car windows closed. After the explosion, she noted a “chopping wind, a high-pitched sound and a roaring sound” as well as the vibration.  She particularly noted the “whipping of the wind — like a tornado.” When the object reached a point fairly close it stopped and all of the noise stopped. It was completely silent and Mrs. Norris lost all of the fear she had felt before. She then got out of the car to get a better look. She strained to take in every detail — feeling like a child with “unbelievable happiness.”   Mr. Norris said that although Pat told him of her sighting after it happened, he didn’t realize how important it was to her until she started checking books out of the local library pertaining to UFOs and “related subjects.”  She estimates the time duration of the sighting as five minutes. As the craft appeared Mrs. Norris’ attention was drawn to a top deck with a long window which she estimates 53 feet and through which she viewed 20 to 30 persons, apparently oblivious of her presence, walking about as if they were changing shift. The wall behind them was curved and white. There were no instruments. The people did not give the appearance of looking out. The beings were pale skinned, dressed in white one piece suits. She judged them to be about our height, five feet 10″, quite slender but with chests larger than ours, the top of the head more prominent, no hair, and having the lower half only of ears similar to our own. She noted nothing out of the ordinary about the eyes. What did draw her attention was the great grace of their movements. The atmosphere seemed “sterile.”  Below this top deck window was an opaque window. The area around it was all white. This window was in sections and was inset. The glass was tinted.  Below the center of the craft a door was closing from right to left. (See drawing). And she looked onto a street that was dark as if made of asphalt or possible concrete. Off to the side of this street was tubular rectangular equipment. All across the craft she saw rivets and portholes. She said she could see the portholes “inside out” as she peered into the craft. She saw some construction that included “huge I beams like they put ships together with and beams holding the glass in there.” The bottom side was tiered upwards. The construction reminds her of a ship or submarine. She said it seemed possible, very likely, it could have been constructed here on Earth.  The very bottom of the craft was formed into a cross made with one foot square mirrors and an observation deck hung down and around the bottom with beings in it. In this case, unlike the top deck, the people were peering out, while overhead she heard a very low pitched but clearly audible (almost like a growl) “announcing” coming from the area of the observation deck now closest to her.
Mrs. Norris said she believes they didn’t realize she was there until directly over her position.  As drawn, she saw four pipes projecting six to eight feet out from the craft set in three or four foot square boxes. They had a hollow flange on the end like a tank cannon and she believes “it looked like a weapon.”  The craft took a southerly turn as it went on from where she was parked. She said it was staying in the wooded area and did not cross Highway 90 again. Possible it was doubling back towards Irvington and Pascagoula. It lit up the wooded area, and all beneath it as it moved on off. It had white spotlights and to the side blue and red lights that intermingled, pointing up to the clouds and then down to Earth.  She told Mr. Brown she had prayed she might have such a sighting. She had extensive dream material both prior to and after the February 4 incident. The late dreams contain a detailed physical examination and scan of her emotions, which we expect to present later, when prepared.  After the object was out of sight, Pat continued on home, arriving at 1:10 a.m.

USAF UFO Blue Book files forced to be taken down

The news was ablaze with the story of files regarding the U.S. Air Force’s investigation into the UFO phenomenon being posted online at The Black Vault website. Most news outlets neglected to report that these files were not new to the internet, but that what was new was that they were in a PDF format, and much more accessible than they had been previously.

Regardless, interest in the files soared, and many local media outlets combed the files for UFO cases in their neck of the woods. This spawned many stories about UFO sightings the U.S. Air Force took an interest in when they were officially investigating UFOs from the late 40s to the late 60s.

However, now, unfortunately, the files at The Back Vault have been forced to be taken down. Fold3, a site that posts military files and is a subsidiary to Ancestery.com, has claimed they have a digital copyright over the files.

John Greenewald, owner of The Black Vault, has sent out this statement:

The Black Vault’s Statement on the Project Blue Book Files

January 29th, 2015 – It is with great frustration to announce, that Ancestry.com, and their subsidiary Fold3, has laid down a claim to copyright on the Project Blue Book material – which has long been labeled as “public domain” by the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA).   Ancestry.com is claiming ownership to the digital version of this material – despite me having records that Fold3 doesn’t even have in their archive and I received under the FOIA starting back in 1996.  They simply claimed it was 100% theirs and I was forced to remove it.

Because of my attempt with properly crediting Fold3 with a DIRECT LINK to their site as partial credit for some of the material, they used that show of proper credit by me to issue a copyright claim under the Digital Copyright Millennium Act (DCMA). Anyone who knows anything about the law can attest; you are “guilty until proven innocent” so this was the beginning of the end. I never hid from Fold3 as a source, and even brought them up in some media interviews I did take part in, which were all cut out. No one cared about that part of the story – this new archive was what they wanted to report on because it was simple, straight forward, easy and free. And people loved it.

Based on an evidence-less claim I was forced to remove the entire site.  That’s right, there was ZERO evidence submitted to my web hosting provider of ownership or copyright or license, but rather, they simply placed the accusation which is all it takes.

In good faith, I took the site down in hopes a compromise could be reached. They already had credit given on the front page of the site for some of the material, and that link alone resulted in a 12%+ increase in their entire statistics since they posted records in 2007, and my link multiplied their weekly hits by 10x, yes ten times, in only 5 days (statistics are posted on their page, so I am not guessing on those statistics but rather took notes).

I stated there was much more information here than is cited to Fold3, but they didn’t care.  I offered giving them a full 100% “share of voice” banner ad to advertise Fold3 (in addition to the link already driving them traffic), or to sell ads with no profit share to me, and they didn’t care. I asked if they would work with me on any capacity, because CLEARLY interest was being generated by my audience (and obviously not by theirs) but they didn’t care.

In the end – they offered I become a member of their affiliate program – and offer a link to them in exchange for a portion of sales generated. ie: You have to sign up with them, pay a membership, and they give me a percentage.  I quickly declined.

This is public record material, and it should remain so. To lay ‘exclusive’ claim to it in the digital world, when both sites (my site and theirs) offer it for free – is ludicrous and a waste of time and money for everyone.

But at the end of the day, I am proud to have brought attention to information that although has been available for quite some time – the public at large never knew it existed.  I will let Google Trends prove my point.  Here is the popularity of Project Blue Book, since 2005, and a graph relating to people searching for information on it.

See that spike?  Yes, The Black Vault did that… and I am proud to be the one who caused such an uproar of interest by the public and the media (despite some erroneous facts in the reporting).

Did some media outlets misreport? Yes, and if this page was still up, there was a message on the front page setting the record straight.

But, call it corporate greed, a legal loophole, or a grey area in the copyright law, all of that is gone in the name of getting your personal information, and your credit card, by a corporation that has a wallet much thicker than mine. I’ll let you decide what the right label is to put on this entire mess.

In 18+ years, I’ve never seen anything like this, and it is a sad day for the world of public domain, public information, public record and the idea of “Freedom of Information”.

Sigaarvormige UFO duikt  in vulkaan ( Video )

Uit de praktijk blijkt dat UFO’s meer dan gewone belangstelling hebben voor vulkanen.

Ook dat er meer van worden gesignaleerd in Zuid Amerika dan waar dan ook ter wereld.


De afgelopen jaren maakten we druk UFO-verkeer mee in Mexico rond de Popocatépetl vulkaan.

Het is ook daar waar in 2012 één van de meest spectaculaire UFO opnames ooit is gemaakt.

Een sigaarvormige die met grote snelheid de krater van de vulkaan induikt.

Nu schijnt zich iets dergelijks te hebben voorgedaan in Chili bij de Osorno vulkaan.

Dit is een zogenaamde stratovulkaan van 2.652 meter hoog, gelegen in het Chileense merengebied. Hij vormt onderdeel van het zuidelijke Andesgebergte en is één van meest actieve vulkanen in Chili.

Een getuige die zich in een boot op één van de meren bevond, maakte de volgende foto van een sigaarvormige UFO die regelrecht de krater van de vulkaan lijkt in te duiken. 

Dit is niet de eerste keer dat dit bij deze vulkaan is waargenomen.

Ook in 2005 werd een foto gemaakt van een dergelijke UFO in de nabijheid ervan.

Boeren die rondom de vulkaan wonen maken regelmatig melding van vreemde lichten die onregelmatige bewegingen maken.

Wie weet, bevindt er zich diep onder deze vulkaan ook een buitenaardse basis of fungeren deze vuurspugers als dimensiepoorten naar andere werelden.

Simulated Documentary Takes On Intelligent Extraterrestrial Encounter

The event of first contact with an intelligent extraterrestrial would be explored in a new fictional film under the guise of a documentary movie.

The Visit attempts to describe the actual concerns to address the first contact situation in a very realistic manner. The documentary format of the film offers a very authentic element to the scenario that allows to make this natural feel.

In an effort to present the greatest realistic element, the film uses real people who are likely to be the ones to get involve with a first-contact scenario. Government officials, military personnel, and scientists made appearances in this film, including Mazlan Othman, the director of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs.

According to the official description of the movie, the question is not about the possibility of it to happen but when it will going to happen as humans continue to send signals into outer space to announce their existence to other civilizations for many years now. The film promises to present chillingly believable situation of first contact on Earth with unprecedented access from military advisors to Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, and from experts at NASA’s International Space University to researchers at Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute.

While many believe that first contact already happened a long time ago, and in fact extraterrestrials are already among humans, the official word still maintains that first contact has yet to happen. This issue is also discussed ranging from government reaction to the cultural impact.

The Visit premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 28.

Apollo 7 Mission Spotted With A UFO And Astronauts Obscured It With Duct Tape

In archive footage of the first manned space mission, Apollo 7, a UFO has been spotted. The mysterious flying object can be found in one of the frames from the mission.

UFO fanatics believe that the astronauts decided to hide the truth from the public after realising what was at stake.

Then they took out the duct tape.

The astronauts apparently forced to use what was at hand as censoring technology was not what it is today. In this particular case, they used sticky plastic.

UFO observers speculate that the astronauts breathed a sigh of relief after successfully blocked the concerned object from view. However, the relief would be short-lived as Mission Control almost slipped when they say that while they were very grateful for their effort to hide something, they need not have bothered because they could just not release the photos since redaction was in its infancy.

UFO hunters also discovered something alien in footage of Apollo 12 and 15 missions. However, alien life hunters at NASA still saying that they have yet to find extra-terrestrial life in their over a decade effort in space. So it could be either of the two; Apollo missions were very lucky or NASA just has an abundant supply of duct tape aboard International Space Station (ISS.)

A video shows a bizarre horse-shaped UFO near an erupting volcano in Mexico.

The Colima volcano in Mexico, located approximately 300 miles west of Mexico City, has erupted several times in recent weeks. These incredible eruptions have been captured on video by a webcam hosted by Webcams de Mexico.

According to the Daily Mail, a horse-shaped UFO appears in one of these videos. “The dark object appeared to have two legs and was seen hovering into view out of nowhere,” the media outlet describes. It continues, “The enigmatic ‘equine’ vanished moments later.”

The Daily Mail reports that “UFO hunters have said they think it could be an alien vessel and made reference to previous sightings at volcanic eruptions in Mexico.” The media outlet even quotes an alleged witness who describes, “When I first saw it, I thought it looked like a horse. It had a very large body and seemed to be an animal. It had a thin top, a bulging middle and two extremities at the bottom. But the legs weren’t moving so it clearly wasn’t a modern-day Pegasus.”

The Daily Mail also reports that Mexican authorities are investigating this horse-shaped UFO. But that claim is unverified . . . and unlikely.

UFOs near volcanos are commonly seen on these webcams. In fact, there are multiple UFOs in every Colima eruption video. And the behavior of these objects can appear other-worldly. But the webcam watching the Colima volcano records time-lapse video, which explains why these objects seem to appear “out of nowhere” and vanish “moments later.”

Most of the seemingly strange objects in these videos are just birds in flight.

Although many, if not most, of these anomalous objects that flash on and off the screen in these webcam videos have simple explanations, it’s certainly possible that some could be much more mysterious in nature. Low flying silent UFO reported over Missouri

A Missouri witness at Independence reported a huge UFO with “no sound under 500 feet flying directly overhead,” according to testimony in Case 62928 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The case was reported directly to the Missouri MUFON Assistant State Director Margie Kay who filed the report.

The witness was moving toward a vehicle parked on the home driveway when the object was first seen.

“I noticed a very large object flying directly overhead from the west (Kansas City) to east (Independence),” the witness stated. “It was flying extremely low as if about to land nearby, but there is no airport or highway to land near us.”

The witness described the object as having four bright, unwavering, large white lights on it, but no red or green navigation lights or strobe; and large, flat wings and a rounded body, but no tail. Pictured: Independence, MO. (Credit: Google)

The object had some unusual features.

“It had absolutely no sound whatsoever, but was the size of a 747 airplane. There were four bright, unwavering, large white lights on it, but no red or green navigation lights or strobe. It had large, flat wings and a rounded body, but no tail.”

The witness estimated the object’s size and distance.

“It would take my entire hand to cover it up at arm’s length. I estimate the distance to be about 500 – 1,000 feet from the ground. It flew directly over our house and continued on in a westerly direction until we could no longer see it. The total time we watched this object was approximately two minutes, so it was flying very slowly. I saw no emissions and heard no engines.”

The witness and two adult children were unable to identify the craft.

“The three of us are at a loss to explain what we saw. I took video with my cell phone and will send that to the investigator.”

Independence is the fourth-largest city in the state of Missouri, in Jackson County, population 116,830.

Orange bollen ook waargenomen door piloten ( Video )

Zoals we enkele weken geleden schreven, zijn we ook het nieuwe jaar weer begonnen met de mysterieuze oranje bollen die wereldwijd worden waargenomen.

Meer en meer mensen nemen de vreemde oranje en/of witte bollen waar in de lucht, maar echte een verklaring is er nog steeds niet.

Het is een raadsel dat dit soort dingen niet wordt besproken in de V.N. of bij nationale overheden. Duizenden mensen hebben intussen dit soort vreemde bollen waargenomen.

Nog immer wordt het afgedaan als mensen die wellicht het spoor enigszins bijster zijn of misschien iets te diep in het glaasje hebben gekeken.

Ondanks dat deze oranje bollen ook worden waargenomen door bijvoorbeeld piloten zoals onlangs gebeurde in de Amerikaanse staat Washington.

Op 15 januari rijdt Jim Dunn samen met zijn vrouw richting de universiteit van Washington Laboratories rond een uur of zes in de avond omdat ze daar een lezing wilden bijwonen.

Terwijl ze rijden ziet Dunn ineens drie vreemde oranje lichten in de lucht. Dunn is een gepensioneerde architect en zowel hij als zijn vrouw zijn fanatieke privé-piloten met veel ervaring.

Eerst dacht Dunn dat het een vliegtuig was dat wel heel erg laag binnenkwam op het lokale vliegveld van Friday Harbor. Toen dacht hij dat het misschien een helikopter was, maar de bewegingen van de lichten waren daarvoor te vreemd.

Ze stopten de auto om de lichten beter te kunnen bekijken. Ze kwamen tot de conclusie dat het ook geen drone kon zijn omdat de lichten onafhankelijk van elkaar bewogen.  

Ook in het geval van Jim Dunn zien we dat dit de eerste keer is dat hij een dergelijk fenomeen waarneemt. Daarvoor had hij noch zijn vrouw ooit iets te maken gehad met UFO’s. Wanneer dan zoiets gebeurd dan wil je ook de onderste steen boven hebben.

Dus, nam Dunn de volgende dag contact op met de verkeersleiding, maar deze konden hem ook niet verder helpen want er was volgens hen niets te zien geweest op de radarschermen. Dunn en zijn vrouw zijn honderden keren opgestegen en geland op het vliegveld van Friday Harbor en zij zien echt wel het verschil tussen een vliegtuig en drie onafhankelijk van elkaar bewegende oranje bollen.

Via de lokale krant heeft hij nu een oproep gedaan aan andere mensen met de vraag of zij die lichten ook hebben gezien.

Het is natuurlijk merkwaardig dat er niets te zien is op de radarschermen, er vanuit gaande dat de verkeersleider de waarheid spreekt.

Het zou kunnen want onderstaande video is twee dagen geleden gemaakt met een infrarood camera in Slovakije. Met het blote oog viel daar niets te zien, maar via het speciale toestel zie je de bollen door de lucht dansen.

Soms zijn ze ook wel te zien met het blote oog en zijn ze ook niet oranje, maar wit zoals in het volgende geval van een lezer:

3 januari, rond 21.00 's avonds rookte ik een sigaret in de tuin bij mijn moeder in Naarden. Zoals gewoonlijk kijk ik altijd even naar boven om te zien hoe de sterrenhemel eruit ziet.

Deze avond rond bovengenoemd tijdstip keek ik omhoog en zag een strak heldere hemel met volle maan en wat sterren. Ik wilde een mooie foto maken van de volle maan en zag een witachtige bol vliegen die zich in onregelmatige patronen bewoog.

Dit was geen helikopter, vliegtuig, straaljager of Chinese wenslampion. Nee dit object vloog in rare coördinaties en vlug! Ik zag ook geen knipperend licht zoals bij vliegtuig of helikopter. Hier volgen enkele afbeeldingen van de vreemde witachtige bol.

Op de eerste foto zie je de bol ten opzichte van de maan, rechtsonder op de foto en op de tweede is deze verder uitvergroot. 

Ook in andere delen van het land worden ze gezien:

Zaterdag 24-01-2015 omstreeks 17.30 uur zaten wij bij onze dochter in Zevenaar .  Ik zat op de bank met het gezicht vol op het raam gericht dus vol zicht naar de lucht .

Daar viel mij een klein fel licht op die leek op een te felle ster gezien het daglicht die langzaam overging van het invallen van de avond .  Ik bleef gefixeerd door het licht dat heel langzaam dichterbij kwam en op een gegeven moment bleef hangen op een vaste afstand jammer genoeg .

Het heeft er zeker een uur gehangen tot het of door de draaiing van de aarde of wat dan ook achter de huizen verdween uit het zicht .  Of het opject rond draaide of kantelde weet ik niet want daar was hij te ver voor weg maar het ging van 1 naar 2 felle lampen weer naar 1 visa versa.

Een helemaal merkwaardig fenomeen speelt zich af in de kop van Noord-Holland.

Wij inwoners van Lambertschaag zien bijna elke avond een paar lampjes (niet knipperend ) boven Opmeer vliegen telkens Rondje op een manier dat niet overeen komt met een vliegtuig of een helikopter. Ook hebben we gekeken of het satellieten konden zijn maar dat is ook niet zo.het is zelfs vaak zo dat ze er 10 minuten zijn en dan denk je effe buiten kijken wat het is en den is het meteen weg als je er naar kijkt. dan zie je ze als het waren heel snel weg gaan, helaas zijn er geen beelden van beschikbaar omdat het ons (nog) niet is gelukt. Dit fenomeen speelt zich al meer dan 10 jaar af.

Chance Of Finding Ancient Alien Life Increases As Scientists Discovered Earth-Sized Planets Nearby

Scientists believe the discovery of five Earth-sized planets around a distant star in the Milky Way galaxy increases the possibility of finding another rocky planet where water and life exist.

While the rocky, Earth-sized planets are too close to their sun and too hot for life, they could be more ubiquitous than previously believed because of the fact that they were formed billions of years ago, the time when the galaxy was still in its infancy.

Scientists found planets in the distant solar system with sizes that range between Mercury and Venus. They analysed gathered data by NASA’s Kepler space telescope, which already confirmed 1,013 true planets from more than 4,000 identified planetary candidates.

The five exoplanets orbit around the star named as Kepler-444, which is 25 percent smaller than the Sun. Found 117 light years away in the constellation Cygnus and Lyra, Kepler-444 formed 11.2 billion years ago, less than twenty percent of the age of the galaxy and far before the formation of the Sun.

It means that this solar system is the oldest group of terrestrial-sized planets ever discovered in the Milky Way, around 2.5 times older than the Earth, according to the study published in the Astrophysical Journal.

Tiago Campante of the University of Birmingham stated that the discovery of ancient Earth-sized planets, which formed throughout the Universe, could provide scope of ancient life’s existence.

Dr Campanete said the planets in this system were already older than today’s Earth by the time the latter formed. So, the discovery can help nail the start of what scientists might call the ear of planet formation, explained Dr Campanete.

Get UFO Detector For Free

Anyone can now spot UFOs easier with the invention of a new program that uses USB webcam to monitor the skies. Designed to record when it detects something out of ordinary, the program hopes to help produce better UFO videos. Developed by ProjectCE: Connecting Evidence, the program called UFO Detector is now available for free via the creator’s website.

According to the description provided by the site, the program features an algorithm that detects unidentified light emitting object.

The program promises to know whether the object is something terrestrial or extraterrestrial. But the developers admitted that the program is not yet in its advanced stage as they encourage users to submit photographs of objects that the detector mistaken as UFOs to help improve the algorithm. Reports on false positives will presumably help the software not to make a similar mistake in the future.

The software automatically records video in high definition, which can be reviewed later. However, the hoaxer can quickly alter the video and add a UFO into it. ProjectCE plans to create a secure video format for the program so that tampering will be easy to identify.

The developers plan to make an online forum for people to present their UFO videos, get them examined, and discuss their findings. Don’t forget that you can also report UFO sighting on our website.

Rendlesham Forest UFO Sighting Captured On Video

Multiple strange flashing balls of light made appearance in the sky, and someone captured the aerial activity on video. The witness who identified himself as George Taylor claims that his strange sighting on video was captured above Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, England on Sunday afternoon, January 25. Interestingly, the video also shows a military helicopter that is apparently monitoring the UFOs.

Taylor made his video live on YouTube on January 26. In the video description, he says that the sighting happened while he was walking through Rendlesham Forest. Upon seeing three mysterious balls of light in the sky, he had a very weird feeling that he should not have been in that area.

He then recorded the activity on video using his phone and decided to upload it to the video-sharing site to know if somebody else spotted the same thing on that day and time. Taylor says that he hasn’t seen anything strange for many years in living around Rendlesham despite its long history of UFO sightings.

Rendlesham Forest has become synonymous with UFO much like Roswell, New Mexico. Known as the major UFO incident happened in December 1980, Rendlesham Forest has been prominently featured in UFO lore. The famous UFO event involved military personnel who claimed to have experienced several UFO sightings over a span of few days.

SPECTACULAR UFO Footage From NASA's STS-48 Discovery Space Shuttle

January 29, 2015 - When it comes to real footage of UFOs (unidentified flying objects), film from the 1991 NASA STS-48 Discovery Space Shuttle mission is definitely one at the top of the list. This footage is real, well documented, and has been the subject of rigorous scientific investigation by multiple researchers and institutions. (1) (2) (3)

The video below shows as many as a dozen objects moving in unusual fashion. Apart from that, the most fascinating part is when we see one object at a point near the horizon, as a flash occurs, followed by another object or stream that moves rapidly across the field of view, the object shoots off into space.

Explanations have varied from intelligent extraterrestrial spacecraft, to space weather events and more. There is however, no definite explanation, and many of them don’t take into account the dozens of objects that are captured on film.

This might be some of the evidence O’leary (quoted above) is talking about. I have personally had a craft sighting that looked exactly like this one, minus the flash of light. I saw the object travel towards me, stop and then shoot up into space at a ninety degree angle a second or two after it stopped.

Dozens of governments have declassified thousands of pages of UFO related documents within the past few years. As a result, we’ve seen high-ranking military and political personnel step forward and share what they believe to be true. Not long ago, Canada’s former Minister of National Defence said that there are “at least 4 known alien species visiting our planet.”

The UFO subject continues to gain some much deserved attention as we move through 2014 and beyond.

General Wilfred de Brouwer UFO Mystery

Huge Tubes Mars

There are numerous images of a network of tubes on Mars that are large enough to house cities. We can speculate that the tubes create a transportation system and carry water from the poles to warmer areas.

Joseph P. Skipper, Investigator writes, “These images have been heavily tampered with at official level so as to destroy finer small detail. Notice that the light gleam and reflection reveals the edges of a narrow band of depression indentation that runs the entire longitudinal length of the main tube top surface and note it is fairly uniform in its width.” This looks very much like something due to fairly recent expansion stress. This factor may be an indicator that this entire giant tube system may have undergone an enlarging expansion as to its width and girth after it was already fully formed which in turn formed this healing depression down its length. Notice also the vague darker streaks on or inside the main tube. The tubes above ground level reinforce the fact that this giant tube system is many kilometers long. This knowledge gives us a little better insight of the huge colossal scale we are really looking at here. The  light reflections off of the tube’s top surface is strong evidence that the surface of these tubes is very smooth to the point of being slick like glass or resin and rounded as to their circumference width and girth. The visuals indicate strongly that this tube is occluded and also semitransparent. These factors demonstrate the glaringly obvious fact that we are not looking at any kind of sediment sand dunes here. Shrug off this manipulation we’ve allowed to be perpetuated on us and get on with the business of waking up to what is really on Mars. Certainly fault is with those perpetuating the con but then it is also with us for not being more alert and vigilant.

Now, if you will examine very very close by getting your eyes close to the screen, in the jumble of the natural terrain above the main tube you may be able to see what appears to be very tiny densely packed rectangular structures, many with uniform color tiny tops, defying and not aligning with the normal zoom pixel distortion. You have to look extremely close to see this.

Is this city building structure civilization evidence as it appears to possibly be, but mostly destroyed and hidden by direct blur and light color over saturation tampering? If so, that gives one a better idea of the colossal scale involved here and an understanding of how the distant resolution reduction technique combined with blur treatment and light color technique is able to effectively hide smaller civilization evidence when seen in relation to these colossal size objects. The mind forces adjustments, makes assumptions, and just doesn’t realize how colossal the main objects really are and therefore doesn’t think to look closely enough at the tiniest detail alongside it. First impression is that it is just natural geological terrain because that is what it is intended to look like and no need to examine it closer. Convenient for secrecy purposes isn’t it. The Islamic State is following the Quran’s Scripture

 Quranic Concept of War (1979) is one of “4 core texts of jihadists” today. US military officials are ending summaries of it in various languages on captured and killed jihadists.

This is more than just a study of the military campaigns of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad between 610-630 A.D. against the various tribes inhabiting Saudi Arabia, and those who refused to pay protection-taxes to Muhammad. This book religiously reviews and quotes from the Muslim’s Holy Book: the Quran/Koran, detailing how Allah outlined the principles of Islamic warfare.

The Quran — the Book of Allah

According to Islamic teaching, the Quran came down as a series of scriptures from Allah through the Archangel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad, who then dictated it to his followers. The early revelations were peaceful, but the Quran’s commandments to Muslims to wage war in the name of Allah against non-Muslims are unmistakable. They are, furthermore, absolutely authoritative as they were revealed late in the Prophet’s career and so cancel out and replace earlier instructions to act peaceably when weak. In 630, Muhammad and his forces marched to Mecca and defeated its defenders The Prophet rededicated the Ka’ba temple to Allah, and witnessed the conversion to Islam of nearly the entire Meccan population. Muhammad died in 632, having conquered nearly all of Arabia for Islam. Within 100 years of Muhammad’s death, Islam had reached the Atlantic in one direction and the borders of China in the other. Westerners who manage to pick up a translation of the Quran are often left bewildered as to its meaning thanks to ignorance of a critically important principle of Quranic interpretation known as “abrogation.” The principle of abrogation that directs that verses revealed later in Muhammad’s career to “abrogate” — i.e., cancel and replace — earlier ones whose instructions they may contradict.

Thus, passages revealed later in Muhammad’s career when his Army was successful in Medina, overrule peaceful passages revealed earlier, in Mecca.

Take Quran 9:5, commonly referred to as the “Verse of the Sword”, revealed toward the end of Muhammad’s life:

9:5. When the Sacred Months (the 1st, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun {unbelievers} wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat {the Islamic ritual prayers}, and give Zakat {alms}, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Having been revealed later in Muhammad’s life than 50:45, 109, and 2:256, the Verse of the Sword abrogates their peaceful injunctions in accordance with 2:106. Sura 8, revealed shortly before Sura 9, reveals a similar theme:

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

8:67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

9:29. Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Holland’s Religious Images

Nancy Talbott writes, although neither Robbert van den Broeke nor I have any formal religious affiliation (feeling instead that all religions represent the same basic spiritual truth) Robbert regularly gets photos which contain a wide variety of images associated with one or another of the world’s established religions.  The same night I sent out the new BLT Report about “Marks on Apples Taken into Dutch Crop Circles” other events were unfolding in Holland. Perhaps because Robbert’s family is Catholic he has many times experienced the “presence” of the Virgin Mary and Jesus and taken many photos which contain images representing them as they are frequently depicted. One evening, when he was 11 years old before bedtime, he visually saw the Virgin, and was so overcome by the energy associated with her presence that he lost consciousness.  His father carried Robbert’s unconscious body to his bedroom and called a doctor—and when Robbert regained consciousness and explained what he had witnessed both his parents and the doctor insisted that Robbert was imagining things, that actually “seeing” Mary was impossible.

Events of this sort filled Robbert’s childhood and are what led to him being admitted to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation at the age of 13, by his very concerned parents.  His parents could not conceive that Robbert’s constant encounters with unseen-to-them presences could actually be happening which caused Robbert intense anguish. But the doctors could find no evidence of psychiatric illness, and when Robbert returned to his family the encounters continued.  The presences Robbert constantly experiences also include many strange-looking creatures or beings as well as people known to be deceased [see http://www.bltresearch.com/robbert/apparition1.php.]

In October of 2008, when Robbert and I had gone to a field near Zevenbergen where crop circles had begun to appear Robbert, using my camera which I had just handed him, took several anomalous photos—one of which contained this image of “Mary”. On the night of January 8-9, 2015 Robbert again felt the “presence” of Mary and then actually saw her VISUALLY appear in his apartment, just for a moment, against his blue curtains—after which he felt he was supposed to take photos.  Although the “energy” associated with Mary’s presence this time was very strong, Robbert has himself become better able to tolerate this experience and did not lose consciousness.  Many images of the Virgin appeared, this time on his camera.  [Note:  Robbert’s friends Stan was present and watched Robbert take this photo.]

Here are some of the January 8-9, 2015 photos—I’ve cropped and added “brightness” or “auto levels” in Photoshop: Immediately after taking these photos Robbert felt a “burning” on his forehead and his friend Stan (who was with Robbert) saw a “cross” mark appear on Robbert’s forehead.   Stan knew to take photos quickly–because the marks disappear slowly over 10-15 minutes, leaving no sign they were ever there.

We have all noted for years the fact that the “file data” that is automatically stored on any digital camera nowadays will regularly be incorrect when Robbert gets anomalous images.  Although technical experts who have examined many of these photos say this is “impossible,” we know it happens—because we’ve checked the camera before Robbert uses it to make sure the date/time stamps are correct and because we’ve been with Robbert when he takes the photos.

When I put these “Mary” photos into Photoshop & checked the “file data” I found this had happened again…in this case the “file data” says that Robbert took these photos on May 19, 2029.   I asked Robbert if he thought the May 19, 2029 date meant anything in particular, but he didn’t know.  It is also a fact that when images of “creatures” appear in Robbert’s photos, or images of deceased people, the date and time-stamps will often be wrong — and the actual numbering of the various images will also be incorrect.  Again, something that is supposed to be “impossible” but which happens all the time. Robbert also got a message from “Mary.” She decries the Paris atrocity and states that now is a critical time for man-kind, advising that it would be good for people to (for the next 12 weeks, every Friday at 3 pm) send love to everyone and to all religions.

It is up to each of us to make of these ongoing events what we choose.  The fact that such a wide range of bizarre events are constantly occurring around the only person yet known who has accurately predicted (for going on 20 years) exactly when & where new crop circles are occurring is, I suspect, significant.  And therefore must be taken into consideration when pondering the circle phenomenon.

Arizona Light

 Mesa – These are actually my friend’s images taken on her cell phone on January 21, 2015.
She likes to take random pictures of the Arizona sky usually whenever she is out driving and thinks the sky looks pretty.
She was driving at the time pictures were taken and she did not notice the object. The next day we noticed an object moving in a few of her pictures taken in sequence. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California UFOs

Riverside — I first saw the object when I pulled up to my house after work on January 23, 2015, and noticed it in the sky. It appeared red at first, and I thought it was an asteroid that was supposed to fly by close to earth. But I noticed the inside of the red sphere was yellow and pulsated, it was bizarre. I never have seen any aircraft with lights like that. So I decided to film it with my iPhone 5 camera as it began to descend and eventually disappear. It was closer than what I originally thought and I felt excitement because I believe I filmed an actual UFO.

Turlock — I just witnessed tonight on January 24, 2015, something strange on Daubenberger Road at 7 pm while driving home. It was foggy but I saw three white lights in a possibly boomerang shaped craft 100-200 feet above my truck moving slowly at first, then speeding up quickly disappearing into the fog. The object was heading northbound over houses disappeared into the fog/haze bank.

I am a retired police officer and veteran USAF aircraft crew chief and veteran Army intelligence. It did not appear to look like any aircraft I am familiar with. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Colorado Objects

Colorado Springs – I took my girlfriend for a romantic walk up a path on Cheyenne Mountain shortly after I was released from the US Army. It was dark and warm in the summer of 1991. We saw a pair of lights surrounded by a “halo” connected to long tails moving east. The brightest was in front of the dimmer one. They traveled at a constant speed. There was a fuzziness of the lights compared to the crisp stars. The shooting stars I have seen did not have tails half as long as the objects. Florida Orb

Winter Park – I was taking a picture of odd shaped cloud with my phone on June 22, 2015.

I didn’t see the object until blew up the photo to get a better view of the cloud. The object showed in two frames.

I would have taken more shots if seen with the naked eye.

Milledgeville – I was leaving headed back to Atlanta and before heading to the Greyhound station.

I snapped two photos with my iPhone 6+ on January 21, 2015.

Idaho Disc

Rose Lake — I was very young and indoors while my older sisters and neighbor girls were outdoors and witnessed on June 15, 1966. They came running inside in terror and wouldn’t go out the rest of the night. It was reflective silver, cigar shaped, cruising smoothly over the trees lining the edge of the small lake. Afterwards, my oldest sister and I developed nosebleed problems, I had recurring dreams about “ugly old man doctors with big heads” and my sister later in life had a crystalline object removed from her arm. Despite the persistent dreams thinking I saw a Gray in the mirror when I would first look into it at my own reflection. I was not exposed to images of Grays until 4 years later. Even before puberty I began to have recurring dreams about the daughter I was supposed to have who would be able to talk at birth.

I eventually did have a daughter and while bright, she wasn’t talking at birth. Then one day when she was 3 years old, she told me the “white” alien people had taken her and me the night before, and they let her pet a yak, and an alligator, and were very nice to her. But she wasn’t too happy with how they made me “messy” on my upper left chest. She hadn’t seen any movies that would make her imagine such a scenario. Both she and her brother have had uncanny talent for knowing precise details about what they did not and could not have seen. There’s more under heaven than is dreamt of in our philosophies. Massachusetts Lights

Boston – I regularly check Camnet haze web cams and sometime an object or UFOs are in the pictures as happened yesterday evening:

Boston (Blue Hills) Camnet on January 23, 2015, between 2045 to 2145 hours: one to three UFO’s were hovering near the ground.

 Montana Triangle

Gallatin Gateway – I stepped outside to take my dog to the bathroom and saw a plane with blinking navigation and collision lights about 30 deg above the horizon. A triangular shaped object with no navigation/collision lights flew overhead being followed by an obvious airplane on January 13, 2015. I assumed the plane was coming in to land at BZN. I noticed what I thought was a satellite that was big enough to be the ISS, but moving much slower. I saw two lights–almost vertical–and about an inch in size at arm’s length that changed direction to the west. There were three lights in a triangle shape with a plane following behind. They both curved slowly around to the southwest. This object had only white non blinking lights. I have a MS in the quantitative sciences.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering. New Mexico lights

 Albuquerque —  A close friend of mine and prominent Air Force scientist photographed this rod hovering in the sky on November 10, 2014. When he first saw it he thought it was a banner being towed by an airplane.

But it didn’t move for at least a few hours. When he pointed it out to his friends in the balloon, they tried to explain it away but when they couldn’t they just ignored it. Fortunately he took one picture of it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Military Training Site — Three of us were on ECP guard duty on December 8, 2014, when we saw a light appear, then another, then one more about 9 PM. They were white with a red tint and hovered. The three of us were in a gun truck. One guy up on the gun, one passenger and I were in the driver’s seat. I tried getting a picture but it just wouldn’t take very good. My two buddy’s used NVG’s (night vision goggles) a regular picture did no justice. I got out for a better view and in 20 seconds they all vanished. The aircraft flew right through our line of sight and flew east of our position. West of us an artillery company was training and shot up multiple flares, but “these were not flares”! And the best part is our CP and 1st Sgt witnessed them as well. Word got out and my CO asked for me to come see him and he said, “There is a lot of missile testing.” I believe our presence and the artillery going off drew these UFOs attention. New York Object

Manhattan — As I was heading west over the Williamsburg Bridge on January 22, 2015, I saw a relatively large box-like object moving very slowly in a southerly direction. From distance and size it seemed to be over the Hudson River and in the proximity 20’s-40’s streets of Manhattan. There was heavy low cloud cover, and the object did not appear to be higher than the Empire State Building.

At first, it looked like a prop-plane with a sign behind it. It was flying against the wind. You see them advertising over the Hudson, but not usually during the winter. But, I could not see a plane in front. I have never seen anything like this. The photos were taken with a standard IPhone 4S. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Oregon Triangle

Canby – I was in the backyard trying to spot the comet Lovejoy on January 20, 2015, with my binoculars. I could see satellites, but no comet. My girlfriend came outside to see how I was doing and to let me know Obama was giving his speech about two years of free college. I expressed my frustrations with not being able to find this comet.

Gazing northwest I saw an actual object bigger than I have ever seen before. I was seeing 5 lights in a V shape pattern closely followed by 6 or 7 lights of the same frequency and size. The V shape was one single large object, dark enough to see through the clouds and blocking starlight as it passed. It was faster than a nearby plane!  Lights were traveling at the same pace not far behind.  Thanks to MUFON CMS

Texas Orb and Trail

Texas City – I was headed north to work and noticed something to west/southwest direction on January 20, 2015 and pulled into the church to take a look. I had noticed two objects heading south that looked like fire balls. One was trailing behind the other and both had taken on a horizontal path. A third object just appeared out of nowhere high in the sky. It was going fast and also left a trial behind it. I videotaped and snapped pictures of the three for a while and noticed a 4th one appear in the sky but this one was heading north instead of south.

I watched it do some kind of flip over and direction change to south. The first two flew too far away for me to watch. The third one flew on a straight horizontal path and the tail behind it was getting shorter. It was morphing into a sphere with a glow around it and hovered in place. The fourth one kept dropping in altitude and made a slight curve into a straighter path. The third one was starting to light up like its flames or tail was starting to get longer again. Then when the 4th one got close to the 3rd one, it started moving slowly south and just vanished. Note: This photo appears to be an aircraft with contrail, others are unknown. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Virginia Lights

Reston — I was going through photos I had taken when I came across two that had elements I hadn’t seen when I’d been taking them on January 21, 2015. I was at a construction site right by the Whelie-Reston Metro Station taking photos for a project. I set up my camera on a tripod for a long exposure of the highway figuring it might make an interesting shot. My camera settings for photos were ISO 200 f/11 at a 30 second exposure. The second picture was taken a minute after the first. During this time I did not see any unusual lights. Note: In a 30 second exposure, lights that don’t hold still will leave “light trails.” These objects however do not appear to have left any trail, indicating they either were only momentarily present, or they were completely still. Argentina Orb

Frias – This UFO was seen on January 23, 2015, not only in Argentina, but also in Brazil. I managed to locate an awesome video in Brazil of a close up of the UFO. I have read about orange ships that glow, from a sighting back in the 1981 when Carl Diaz met with aliens in Mexico. Check out the video, it’s loaded with actual alien data.

Australia Lights

Mt. Samson — On Saturday December 20, 2014 at Lyell Deer Sanctuary our Editor, Sharon Ann Rowland, captured an unidentified flying (and flashing intermittently) interesting object in the night sky. Woy Woy – I just found this website to see if anyone has seen the same thing as I have in two separate incidents. I saw one posted from 9th May 2014 at 10:30 pm, who says there was only one witness, but I also saw it from the hill above Umina Beach. I saw a huge super bright white light traveling south with a long tail behind that appeared to land in the ocean. I yelled out to my wife that I’d just seen something big that will definitely be on the news. I was concerned there would be a Tsunami as it was that big. Still today I have heard nothing of this till I stumbled on your website. Regards, Tony.

Bolivia Lights

La Paz — I was at the Titicaca Lake in the shores of Carabuco Town taking night pictures of the lake and the stars. I didn’t notice it until I saw the pictures. I thought immediately it was a big UFO as I saw one similar over Lake Titicaca. You can notice the difference between stars and directed lights taking night pictures of the lake and the stars. It moves a bit and then disappears. People from those remote places like Carabuco talk about it as a common event. Canada Cylinder

Abbotsford, British Columbia –- On January 14, 2015, I took these photos at 10 PM, looking east. Of interest is the object at the lower left. It is black and has a head and a long tail. Also some of the dark spots have color inside them. I believe the object in the background is Jupiter.  I was using a Canon 75 mm to 300 mm lens set at about 250 mm. I have photographed Jupiter many times over the last year. I also took photos of it on January 8, 2015 and the black object was not visible. Stroud, Ontario — I saw a UFO on January 26, 1983, as I wrote in my diary.  I was sleeping in my room and I heard a generator sound and I got up and looked out the window and saw a ball of light hovering over the house across the street.  I got my camera, but there was no film in it.  I watched it for about 10 minutes and it then took off at great speed.  I was 15 at the time and had heard of UFO’s but did not know much about them. This definitely peaked my interest, because I know what I saw.  Thanks to UFOinfo.com

Oshawa — When hearing the recent UFO reports over Whitby, Ontario, I thought to take some pictures of the moon towards Whitby. After taking three pictures I noticed on the first picture a long horizontal light in orange colored light above my neighbor’s roof. How fast could this be travelling? The photo was taken at 10:27 am, on December 28, 2014 with my new Canon Camera SX 700 that picked up something my eyes did not see. PS. I had three separate sighting all day on January 14, 2015 of a white one. Thanks to Paul Shishis

France Glowing Objects

Calais – I was on the Cross Channel ferry leaving enroute to Dover. As we left Port I went to the Stern of the Ship to view the Calais Skyline. I am ex-military and a pilot. The sky was overcast, and I took four frames over the glass fencing to capture the view. Without checking I put away my Phone and went inside to get coffee and checked what I had photographed. In the First and Second Frame I thought it was light reflection, but then in the third and fourth frames there were two glowing objects, seemingly moving from right to left. I went back outside to check the sky, but nothing could be seen. I then took photos of the same area and there was no reflection. I did not view anything unusual with the naked eye so it seems the camera picked something up?

India Disc

n movies where aliens arrive in UFOs and attack human beings with laser beams. It actually happened 12 years ago in a small town near Lucknow, India. A newspaper article published in Victoria Advocate on August 13, 2002 reads “UFOs are attacking and causing unrest in India.” Above this caption you can see a picture of a man who has multiple injuries to his face. This appears to be an authentic piece of news, because it was published in hundreds of newspapers around the world and was even broadcast on radio.

So here is the story. Around the end of July 2002, villagers started to see strange flying objects swarming the sky. Two kinds of UFOs were reported: One was a disc shaped or a ball like object with flashing lights which moved rapidly. The other was an insect shaped craft that was much larger and moved extremely slowly. While the smaller UFO was seen only around Lucknow area, the bug shaped craft was so large that people who lived 50 miles from Lucknow could see it directly above them. UFO experts say that the large cricket shaped craft was possibly the mothership, while the smaller disc shaped UFOs were deployed from it.

 After a few days of inactivity, things escalated and the UFOs started attacking people. 7 people died, and many of them suffered burn injuries, so the UFOs earned the nickname Muhnochwa which means face burner. Doctors confirmed that these injuries were electrical burns caused by electricity passing through the body. For example, Ramji Pal, a middle-aged man was attacked with a laser like beam and his stomach was ripped open. He died two days later. A similar attack on a 53 year old woman resulted in blackened forearms. Within a period of one week, more than 20 people went missing within a radius of 10 miles, never to be seen again.
It was so serious that 10,000 people gathered in front of the police station demanding action against these attacking aliens. Predictably, the police completely brushed off the possibility of extraterrestrials and dispersed the crowd. There are multiple eyewitness accounts and people with bodily injuries. But authorities refused to accept these as concrete evidences of extraterrestrial attack until actual video footage emerged showing these UFOs. These UFOs were captured on film on 6 different cameras. The first person to catch a large insect shaped alien craft on camera was a district judge. Four days later the smaller disc shaped UFOs were captured on 5 different cameras confirming that these were in fact flying objects that flew over village. The affected villagers created their own protection squad that roamed around the village after dark to prevent future alien attacks, while quote “educated Government officials” were trying to come up with alternate theories. http://www.phenomenalplace.com

Mexico Object

 Potrero Hidalgo — I was walking in the mountains of Potrero Hidalgo about 3:30 PM, and stopped to take nature pictures on September 26, 2007. I captured a copper colored object that I did not see until I zoomed in the object. It made no sound.

Another photo was taken on December 2, 2014, Potrero, Hidalgo, by a friend who apparently was also taking photographs of a similar object that did not emit sound. Thanks to MUFON CMS

UK/England Diamond

 Tynemouth — Craig Lowther, a 43-year-old venture capitalist from Tynemouth, North Tyneside, said he was letting his dog into the garden at around 11.30 PM, and captured on video a ‘UFO’ hovering in the northeast sky on January 17, 2015. He said, “I always look up at the night sky and saw an unusual color for a plane that was hovering.” Craig went back into the house to get his video camera and had to quickly recharge the battery, but the object was still there.  He said: “I used the zoom so I could get a better look, and what I saw surprised me.  “It appeared to be a dome with a bulge in the middle and it had pulsating lights on it.  Thanks to Ken Pfeifer MUFON NJ www.worldUFOphotos.org

M6 motorway – I would like to report a UFO sighting my girlfriend and I had on January 12, 2015, at approximately 20.00 hours whilst driving on the M6 motorway in England. The UFO was actually hovering over the motorway about 40 feet above us. Tanks to UFOinfo.com

London to Dublin – About 10 am while on a flight from London to Dublin, Ireland on January 17, 2015, I had a window seat and I noticed a bright object out the window. I took several pictures with my smart phone of the clouds of a stationary object.  After looking at the pictures I noticed a dome shaped cloud with a solid disc shaped object sticking out of the cloud. This object is dark in color and many times bigger than a glowing object that can be seen in two pictures. The object in the cloud can be seen in four pictures all at different distances. Witness said:
This UFO video was recorded during a flight on it’s way to Europe from the US. The person recording the video was filming the storm as announcements came in, for all passengers to buckle seat-belts. You can see the lightning in the video as we highlight it for you. After the lightning appears, we can see what appears to be two separate UFOs come together as one UFO. We do not think this UFO event is ball lighting based on the color & behavior of the object/objects. Hopefully, you can form a clear opinion on what this can be when we analyze the footage.

Reports Of Orbs Continue All Over North America

During the last few months I have had about four emails from people all over North America describing  sightings of strange Orbs . The reports were sent in by those who watched large round solid lights streak across the sky at enormous speed during clear winter nights, The sighting one from California and one from Kansas were similar in detail.  The objects were large round and bright white traveling at incredible speed.  The other reports came from Maine and Connecticut and both of those reports were from people who claimed they witnessed large round objects hovering over wooded areas. The two hovering reports both told me the Orbs were red in color and both told me they watched the Orbs hover high above the trees before simply disappearing with the blink of the eye.

None of the people who emailed me the above reports were able to take any photos of the objects yet they all claim that the sightings were clear and that they felt fearful of the objects

I thought the reports were interesting and pointed out  the fact that Orbs are still visiting and flying our skies  from coast to coast. 

I have a friend who lives on Long Island on a hill that overlooks the Long Island Sound. His house is on a cliff making his view of the water and the sky a clear view without trees or any objects to muddy his view of the water or sky.  He first called me about three weeks ago and told me he watched a fleet of round white to light pink objects shoot across the sky over the Long Island sound with such incredible speed that he did not have time to run to his phone to click a few photos of the event, He told me that the fleet of about 7 objects moved so quickly that it was like watching lightning flash across the sky however it was distinct objects of different colors arranged in a formation of a uneven V with four objects on one leg of the V and two or three on the shorter side or leg of the V.

My friend called my home again about three days ago about 8PM at night and told my husband that one of those large pink Orbs was moving quickly over the water but when he tried to video it he could not catch the image

I was aware that the Orbs were back or more likely still here . With the busy holiday season people were preoccupied with family and traditional parties and obligations keeping their eyes close to the earth and centered on the happenings directly around them. Now that the season is over and the cold clear nights of winter have taken hold people are more likely to take a break and look up at the sky making the new sightings possible. I think they have been flying over us without interruption for years now and we are the ones who look away with the busyness of life and now will once again start to spot and report the strange and unexplained unknowns that fly our skies as our daily routines slow

I did receive a more disturbing report from a couple in Canada yesterday and did urge them to call in to the authorities that  they have someone in their yard and continue to do so until they can get a government agent to show up during the time they have the reoccurring objects hovering over the back woods behind their home. I felt this couple may be in a more dangerous scenario as the objects keep returning to their yard.  I will attach her report below:

“Hello Chris,

I came across your very interesting website, and I’m wondering your thoughts on this.  However, please don’t print my name.

I live in Ontario, and since Tuesday, January 14^th I’ve seen a white orb above the tallest tree in our backyard 4 times.  This week it appeared at approximately 6:30 a.m., and leaves around 7:30 a.m. when it starts to brighten up outside.  Last week it appeared and left a little later, but our mornings are now getting brighter.   A couple of times I’ve actually seen it arrive and position itself in that same spot, then it moves over between two tree tops.  It can move quite quickly.  This morning I noticed two very faint lights in the distance, and it seems like they are waiting on it.  When it leaves it stays just above the trees tops and backs up until I can’t see it any longer.

The 2^nd time I saw was a week ago Friday I could have sworn that there were two, and I saw an orange one land in our trees.  Afterwards, I could see a light there.  Then later, I saw two leave and back up together.

Tuesday, the 3^rd time I saw it my husband hadn’t left for work yet so was able to see it also.  (He took the attached two pictures.  The first one he actually took last, and isn’t sure why it appears like a line.  He isn’t sure whether it was moving at the time, or whether he moved his hand.)

When it’s dark they look like a very bright moving star, but through the binoculars and camera look like an orb.

We usually just leave our blinds up in our bedroom window, as we live in a small town and just have trees in our backyard.  However, Thursday I woke up a 1 a.m., and looked out the window and the orb was positioned in the sky so that I could see it with my head on my pillow.  It was strange because I usually see it from our TV room window, and not our bedroom.  I immediately closed the blinds.

After my husband left for work this Thursday, I was surprised to see it arrive again to above the big tree top in our backyard.

Should we be concerned about this?

It is obvious that Orbs as well as many other strange unknown crafts continue to visit and fly above us all over the world. They may be simply passing by or part of large bases on the moon. There are numerous reasons and possible answers to these unknowns however we continue also on our hard nose refusal to demand answers, or to laugh these things off or insult those who have seen them. I have given up looking for help, logical real research or any organization to finding out what is going on as society simply does not want to know. My true sorrow is for the harsh way we  treat those who have had to handle being taken and abused by these unknowns only to be abused and tormented by the human race when they look for help or answers.

I can only warn you all that these things are out there and it will only be time , if you are aware of your surroundings, that you will see one or have to deal with on up front and alone. Keep your eyes open and your gadgets and devices ready to catch a photo or film of what flies freely in our skies. Years ago I had to deal with a strange red Orb and it was a life changing event and not something I would wish on anyone else . I do not think of Orbs as friendly or caring to the human species . 

Be careful out there and keep looking up

Cigar-Shaped UFO Appears To Take A Nose Dive Directly Into The Osorno Volcano, Chile

Witness report: I was on a boat near the Petrohué Falls in Chile and took some pictures of the Osorno Volcano.

One picture shows a burning cigar-shaped UFO and it appears to take a nose dive directly into the volcano.
  

Osorno Volcano is a 2,652-metre (8,701 ft) tall conical stratovolcano lying between Osorno Province and Llanquihue Province, in Los Lagos Region of Chile. It stands on the southeastern shore of Llanquihue Lake, and also towers over Todos los Santos Lake.
  

Osorno is one of the most active volcanoes of the southern Chilean Andes and sits on top of a 250,000-year-old eroded stratovolcano, La Picada, with a 6-km-wide caldera.

In 2005 a mysterious cigar shaped UFO was photographed in the vicinity of the Osorno volcano.

Farmers from neighboring communities furnished eyewitness reports in strange lights with irregular movements, usually vanishing from sight near the Osorno Volcano.

Local residents claim such phenomena are common in the region.

UFO called “The Thing” celebrates 50th anniversary in Warminster

50 years ago, mysterious events took place in the English town of Warminster that served as the impetus for the legend of a phenomenon called “The Thing.” An event will be held later this year marking the 50th anniversary of UFOs and other weirdness in Warminster.

The Warminster Journal article from January, 1964 that started it all.

Although UFOs are part of the Warminster phenomena, it all started with a weird noise. According to a story in the Warminster Journal printed in January, 1965, early in the morning of Christmas day, 1964, a housewife heard a strange sound on her way to church. She left at about 6:30 in the morning, and soon after heard a “crackling” noise. The sound got more and more loud and seemed to pass over head. However, nothing could be seen.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of being ridiculed, said the sound was like branches being pulled over gravel along with a faint hum.

A website called UFO Warminster chronicles the strange occurrences of the area, and it lists the anonymous housewife as Marjorie Bye in its timeline of strange events. According to the site, there were other witnesses that day. One man heard pounding on his roof, while a woman named Mildred Head apparently reported, “Our ceiling came alive with strange sounds that lashed our roof… as if twigs were brushing the tiles… ended up with a noise [like] giant hailstones.”

Little did the townsfolk know, this was only the beginning of a number of weird occurrences that would take place over the coming years.

One of the strangest stories comes from a news clipping from August, 1965 that, according to UFO Warminster, may have been the Warminster Journal, but they are unsure. The article reads like the plot of a 50s sci-fi movie. The story is about a Warminster town hall meeting that was arranged to discuss “The Thing.” The council chairman invited Mr. David Holton, a local scientist, to attend the meeting. Holton had been investigating the mysterious happenings, and was asked to share his findings.

The movie The Thing From Another World came out in 1951, but may have been the inspiration for the name for the Warminster phenomenon.

In dramatic fashion, Holton said he would rather destroy his dossier than read it aloud to the crowd. He did not feel a town hall was the right way to go about an investigation. He told the paper, “This is a serious matter and must not be thrashed out in a half-hearted way by local people in front of newspaper men and television.”

The article goes on to describe some of the strangeness that had gone on since the first Christmas day occurrence. They say people had heard a crackling in the sky that “killed pigeons in flight, peppered dormice with holes and stuns animals, partridges and pheasants. Some people say they have been knocked down by the force.”

The article also claims that Mr. Horton warned the townspeople weeks ago “that the happenings indicated that people in Warminster would soon be seeing objects in the sky.”

Sure enough, soon after, “the Vicar of Heytesbury, the Reverend Graham Phillips, and his family, reported seeing a glowing, cigar-shaped object over the south of town form the vicarage in the village.”

Arthur Shuttlewood, a journalist for the Warminster Journal, is credited with making “The Thing” famous. He reported on the events and eventually wrote books about it as well.

However, according to a BBC article by Kevin Goodman, one of the founders of the UFO Warminster website, “The Thing” first received national attention when a UFO photograph hit the news.

The image was captured by a man named  Gordon Faulkner in 1965. Faulkner shared the image with Shuttlewood who then gave it to the Daily Mirror. The Daily Mirror printed it in September of 1965, and Warminster’s “Thing” became famous. Goodman writes, “Within weeks, thousands of people began to converge on the town to see this strange phenomenon for themselves.”

Warminster’s notoriety as a UFO hot spot was sealed when BBC West produced a documentary on the whole affair in 1966. The documentary can be seen in Goodman’s BBC article.

Goodman says frequent sightings of “The Thing” continued until the early 1970s, then they began to decline.

Another documentary on “The Thing” was made in 1990, and can be seen below.

It was 50 years ago this month that the first news article on the hapless housewife who was terrorized by “The Thing” appeared in the Warminster Journal. According to an article by the Western Daily Press, a group of UFO researchers have decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary with a conference. It will be held at The Old Bell Inn in Warminster in August, 2015. You can read more about it on their Facebook page.

With any luck, “The Thing” will make an appearance. If it does, it sure does have a lot of explaining to do.

Louisiana UFO tethers 300-foot ‘chrome object’

A Louisiana witness at Mandeville reported watching a hovering, sphere-shaped UFO that appeared to lower a 300-foot-long “chrome tether” from its body, according to testimony in Case 62930 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving along eastbound I-12 about 4 p.m. with a clear sky on January 24, 2015, when a small airplane was noticed making a sharp turn at a low altitude.

“When I looked for the plane a second time I noticed a chrome object in the sky stationary about 1,000 feet above the next interstate exit,” the witness stated. “As I got closer the object had lowered a chrome tether about 300 feet long.”

The witness then noticed a second, smaller object.

“The object had a small orb moving around the larger object. The larger object with the tether was not moving.”

The witness stopped at the exit and observed the object still about 800 to 1,000 feet in the air above.

“After about five minutes, the object retracted the chrome tether and slowly moved to the east, and then the object increased speed and was out of sight in less than one second.”

The witness decided to investigate.

“I called the National Weather Service in Slidell, LA, just 15 miles from the sighting to see if they were doing anything that might explain what I saw. I also contacted local airports to see if any pilots reported a sighting, and also called the New Orleans International Airport to see if they could validate the sighting on radar.”

The witness did not have much luck.

“The FAA has not returned my call as January 28, 2015. I understand the principals of lift and airfoils. This was not a plane or a weather balloon. It defied gravity without wings and no noise from engines. I have tried my best to explain this, but so for it remains a UFO.”

Mandeville is a city in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, population 11,560.

Buitenaardse ontvoering in Maastricht, Nederland?

Enkele dagen geleden publiceerden wij een artikel over een vreemde UFO die boven Maastricht was waargenomen.

De getuige voelde daarna een enorme moeheid, sliep bijna een complete dag na de waarneming en heeft een aantal vreemde plekken op de linkerarm


Na plaatsing van het artikel ontvingen wij het volgende email bericht van een lezer (dank!):

Ik heb dat artikel gelezen van die studente op jullie site en het vreemde is dat ze vermelde :
"Fysiek voelde ze zich moe na de verschijning ". Dat is een van de meest voorkomende symptomen van een alien ontvoering . Raar dat niemand daar op in is gegaan en haar heeft onderzocht op kleine letsels.

Vanwege de naam dachten wij in eerste instantie te maken te hebben met een vrouw, maar dat blijkt niet het geval.

We hebben de vraag van bovengenoemde lezer doorgestuurd naar de getuige in Maastricht en kregen het volgende antwoord:

De dag na de verschijning (Zaterdag) Heb ik bijna de hele dag geslapen! Toen ik wakker werd had ik last van een tintelend gevoel in mijn linker arm, hier heb ik echter niks achter gezocht tot ik uw mail las.

Ik heb gister toch maar eens mijn arm gecontroleerd, en ik zag deze 3 plekken die ik niet thuis kan brengen. Dit kan natuurlijk toevallig zijn omdat ik er nu op gelet heb, maar misschien is het wat. Misschien dat u dat weet ! Ik heb een foto bijgevoegd.

Hier volgen een tweetal foto’s van de linkerarm, waarbij de tweede behoorlijk is vergroot.

Wat hebben nu concreet. 

Een vreemd gevoel tijdens de waarneming:

Net voor ik het zag voelde ik iets wat ik niet beschrijven kan. een soort spiritueel gevoel dat zei dat ik moest opletten. Toen zag ik een gloed.  Daarna een grote vermoeidheid. 

Fysiek voelde ik me moe na de verschijning.

Die vermoeidheid die zich dan vervolgens vertaalt in bijna een hele dag slapen:

De dag na de verschijning (Zaterdag) Heb ik bijna de hele dag geslapen!

Dan een tintelend gevoel in de linkerarm nadat de getuige wakker wordt. En als laatste, drie merkwaardige merktekens op de linkerarm die er eerst niet waren en waarvan de getuige geen idee heeft hoe deze op de arm terecht zijn gekomen.

Dit lijkt allemaal geen toeval te kunnen zijn. Alhoewel de getuige zelf niet het idee heeft dat er iets bijzonders heeft plaatsgevonden:

“Zoals ik aangaf had ik voor de verschijning een "gevoel" en was ik daarna erg moe. Daar tussen denk ik niet dat er tijd weg is want alles is mij gewoon helder.”

De lezer die met de opmerking kwam of er misschien sprake was van een buitenaardse ontvoering, voegt nog de volgende informatie toe.

Er zijn voor zover ik weet 2 types ontvoeringen de fysieke en de psychische .

Bij de eerste word je letterlijk aan boord gehaald en worden er medische tests op je gedaan. Meestal krijg je ook via telepathie tijdens een onderzoek beelden over de aarde toegestuurd over verleden heden en  toekomst . Waarom weet nog niemand. Er zijn er die denken dat dat is om je reactie te zien op al de ellende hier .

Maar er zijn er ook die denken dat ze ons attent willen maken op onze manier van leven. Dat we de aarde en de mensheid aan het vernielen zijn en ons willen waarschuwen voor onze eigen toekomst  .

De tweede is is een outer body experience. Je verlaat je lichaam en word onderworpen aan mentale tests. Als die voorbij zijn schiet je wakker door dat het lijkt alsof je uit de lucht word gedropt terug in je lichaam en word meestal gevolgd door nachtmerries  de volgende nachten.

 De vraag is nu, is er inderdaad “iets” gebeurd met deze getuige in Maastricht gerelateerd aan zijn UFO waarneming of berust het allemaal op toeval?

New video of a bright unidentified flying object hovering in the sky above Naples in Italy. This was filmed in early January 2015.

• Witness report: A super bright starship has been caught on video over the famous city of Naples in Italy. At an approx altitude of over 30k ft the ship cruises along the sky glowing an intense white, the cameraman zooms in and as you could see it is no aircraft of any nature neither is it the ISS. UFODI published this a while back but I thought its time to share the video again as its one of our most unusual sightings during bright hours.

Göbekli Tepe is an archaeological site at the top of a mountain ridge in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey, approximately 12 km (7 mi) northeast of the town of Şanlıurfa. The tell has a height of 15 m (49 ft) and is about 300 m (984 ft) in diameter. It is approximately 760 m (2,493 ft) above sea level. It has been excavated by a German archaeological team that was under the direction of Klaus Schmidt from 1996 until his death in 2014.

The tell includes two phases of ritual use dating back to the 10th-8th millennium BCE. During the first phase (Pre-Pottery Neolithic A (PPNA)), circles of massive T-shaped stone pillars were erected. More than 200 pillars in about 20 circles are currently known through geophysical surveys. Each pillar has a height of up to 6 m (20 ft) and a weight of up to 20 tons. They are fitted into sockets that were hewn out of the bedrock.In the second phase (Pre-pottery Neolithic B (PPNB)), the erected pillars are smaller and stood in rectangular rooms with floors of polished lime. The site was abandoned after the PPNB-period. Younger structures date to classical times.

Dwarka is one of the foremost Chardham four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites, and is one of the Sapta Puri seven most ancient religious cities in the country. Dwarka is often identified with the Dwarka Kingdom, the ancient kingdom of Krishna and is believed to have been the first capital of Gujarat. The Dwarkadhish Temple was built around 200 BCE and was enlarged in the 17th century. Prior to the reallocation of the districts, this city was part of Jamnagar district.

Yonaguni is one of the Yaeyama Islands. It is the westernmost inhabited island of Japan and lies 108 kilometers (67 mi) from the east coast of Taiwan, between the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean proper.

In the 12th century, it was incorporated into the Ryūkyū Kingdom.By 1879, the island was formally annexed into Japan. Until the early 20th century, Yonaguni was part of the larger Yaeyama Magiri (village after 1907), which included the neighboring Yaeyama Islands. In 1948, it became an independent village. From 1945 to 1972, it was occupied by the United States and was then returned to Japan to form a part of Okinawa Prefecture.

Uit de Kepler-waarnemingen blijkt dat er rond de relatief heldere ster Kepler-444, op 117 lichtjaar afstand van ons in de richting van de sterrenbeelden Zwaan en Lier, vijf planeten cirkelen in kleine omloopbanen, met omlooptijden niet langer dan 9,8 dagen (voor de verst verwijderde, Kepler-444f) en minimaal 3,5 dagen (Kepler-444b). Omwille van die nabijheid kan er geen leven zijn op die planeten. De ster zelf is zowat vier keer zo klein en koeler dan onze Zon.

Reusachtige planetoïde scheert langs de Aarde - HLN.be
 

Vanaf 17 uur scheert een planetoïde zo groot als vijf voetbalvelden voorbij onze planeet. Het gevaarte passeert ons op zo'n 1,2 miljoen kilometer, een steenworp volgens astronomen. Maar volgens de Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie NASA moeten we ons geen zorgen maken.

Disclosure boven Massachusetts? ( Videon )

Een kleine twee weken geleden plaatsten wij een opname van een UFO die we de meest spectaculaire opname van 2015 noemden.

Er zijn er nu nog een aantal beschikbaar gekomen uit dezelfde regio en ook hier zien we kleine UFO’s die door een grote worden gelanceerd.


De video van twee weken geleden toonde een UFO van waaruit als het ware kleinere versies werden gelanceerd.

In eerste instantie was de locatie niet bekend, maar later bleek dit in het westen van Massachusetts te zijn.

De video kwam bij ons terecht via Blossom Goodchild die later met het bericht kwam dat zij een channeling had doorgekregen dat de opname nep zou zijn.

Echter, nu zijn er nog een aantal opnames beschikbaar gekomen, eveneens uit Massachussets, die volgens dezelfde Blossom Goodchild wel echt zouden zijn.

We hebben hier twee verschillende spectaculaire opnames van een grote ronde UFO van waaruit kleinere worden gelanceerd. 

Wanneer deze opnames echt zijn dan zijn die van twee weken geleden dat waarschijnlijk ook. De beelden zijn ongeveer identiek en de locatie van beide gebeurtenissen komt exact overeen.

Hieronder de video met de twee verschillende opnames en aan het einde zit nog een leuke verrassing.

Op exact 1 minuut 50 seconden zie je de grote UFO in een fractie van een seconden met een onvoorstelbaar hoge snelheid recht omhoog wegschieten.

Wat het ook moge zijn daar in het westen van Massachusetts, duidelijk is dat we hier met iets bijzonders te maken hebben.

Wie weet zijn dit wel de eerste stappen op weg naar volledige Disclosure. Tenslotte is dat wat in 2015 volgens de Grays in hun aan Amerika afgegeven ultimatum, moet gebeuren.

Apparent UFO Activity Over Lumby Captured On Video

North Okanagan in Canada appears to be a UFO hotspot with many reported sightings of unidentified flying objects, and the latest one comes from Lumby where a cell phone camera captured strange lights.

Debbie Gelter says light or lights appeared before her eyes on three different occasions from her home in Lumby. She felt a bit of fear upon seeing something strange and excitement to tell somebody about it.

On the third occasion, Gelter saw two lights in the evening and called her son to use his phone and take a video of the lights.

Gelter says the two lights had moved slowly at first before they moved backwards at tremendous speed. Gelter was left shocked because the activity was the weirdest thing she ever witnessed.

Amateur astronomer Jim Failes says the flashing in the video doesn’t twinkle like a star or a planet shining in the sky, ruling out those natural objects. However, Failes, a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, notes that it does not exclude man-made objects even the kind of terrestrial objects used to create a hoax.

Gelter hopes to find anyone else who witnessed the same activity in the night sky in around the same time.

UFO Encounter in Tennessee

Between the hours of 5:00 a.m. And 5:15 a.m.on January 27, 2015. I was working doing my rural paper route in Silerton TN. As I stopped at a stop sign I heard what sounded like a helicopter. This is not unusual. As things get pretty boring on my route I tend to notice things out of the ordinary. I sat for a about two mins awaiting the helicopter as the sounds grew closer. I couldn't find them in the sky so I continued on my route. About 4 miles I traveled when I caught sight of the helicopter over the tree line. I sped up around the corner to see if maybe an accident had happened I initially thought this was a medical helicopter. As I rounded the corner. I could see three obvious military helicopters. I am not an expert on aircraft nor have I served in the military. we have a national guard armory in town so I am well versed in the site of military craft. I figured that's all it was. So I continued working. At approximately 6:15 a.m. I came to a wide open 3 Mile straight away on my route. I always look at the stars at this point on my route. As I looked to the north I noticed something completely Unusual two stars in the sky brighter than Venus. And they appeared to be traveling closer together as they were on opposite sides of the road. Initially I thought it could be a brain matrix as sometimes when you travel stationary objects appear to move, and there were two slight curves in the road. As I got to the straight away I tried to pay better attention to the lights to figure out why they were so bright. My first thought was perhaps they were landing lights of planes. Instantly I knew this was not the case as I see dozens of these every night. My focus went back to determining if they were stationary object or not. They appeared to still be traveling as both object were now in my windshield and I was traveling straight. I came to a complete stop to rule out anything I may be doing to cause these objects to appear to be moving. They continued to head towards one another until they crossed paths. Completely confused on what I was seeing I decided to something and I have no idea why I did this. I use very bright Hid lights colored pink. As this is a very open area and very secluded with little to no population I figured if I could see them perhaps they can see me. I flashed my lights in a distinct order two times fast and a pause for about half a second then flashed a second time. Feeling goofy about it in my own mind. I shifted to drive and was about to continue forward. When on a dime both object stopped without slowing down. As soon as this happened my heart sank and my face become numb and flush with panic. I froze in place and could not think fast enough what to do next. The object on the right blinked then the object on the left blinked then together they blinked about half a second later. In the exact sequence I flashed my lights in. I immediately sped to the next drive way. I felt as if I needed to hide. I pulled into a driveway and parked where the trees blocked my view of the object that was on the right. I sat for a few seconds and grabbed my phone I wanted to text my wife and just tell her what was going on I looked at my phone and watched the battery go from 92% to 0 and shut off. I was listening to the radio station 107.7 the Bob and sheri show was on. And the station completely went out. I hit the scan button on my radio and could not pick up a single station. The static in the station began to pulsate in the same sequence I flashed my lights. A minute or two had past at this point and my only thought was to drive home I didn't even finish my route I didn't want to continue north bound and see the objects. As I looked out of my window the object was now hovering just above the trees where I could see it. This felt intentional to me. I sped off southbound trying to get home. I could not see the objects in my rear view mirror. And felt relived. I was now on a road surrounded by trees on all sides. I noticed at this point it was a very cloudy sky usually the sun would be coming out at this point no stars in the sky. I could now see through the trees as I was driving one object was following me southbound. As I came to another clearing I noticed the object seemed further away but was not traveling away from me but in the same direction I then noticed that the objects were actually stacked on top of each other. And we're flashing what I can only describe as a beam. It appeared to look like when you shine a flashlight in the sky at night when some fog is present. The beam didn't come all the way down to the ground it appeared to only travel a short distance from the objects. They were shinning this light in all directions. I tried to slow down as I slowed the objects slowed. I turned East onto Montezuma Rd. The objects for a moment were behind me I turned off to hwy 100 e heading toward Henderson tn. And the object were now on my right hand side as if they just appeared there. I was becoming more and more scared at this point and decided to take a back road so that I was at least in a more populated area surround by more tree cover. As I turned north bound Wilson school Rd. After about a mile I entered into tree cover I noticed a school bus in front me and felt safer for some reason. As I looked to the sky I could not see the objects any more. I continued on this road for another two miles and turned East on Sanford Rd. As I looked out my window I could see the object again through the trees. Still had no radio stations. I was at almost the exact spot I saw the helicopters earlier and as soon as I noticed where I was at two helicopters flying about 150 feet above the tree lines headed in the direction of the craft. The radio made the static sound again in the same sequence and it popped back on. I could no longer see the craft. I reached down for my phone and pressed the power button and it booted up. Battery was 92% but my clock was in eastern time zone. After about a min changed back to Central time. This was without a doubt the most bizarre thing to ever happen to me. I don't feel comfortable even discussing this with my wife. I'm actually terrified to go back to work tomorrow. - MUFON CMS

Boston Yeti wanders snow-covered streets

A man in a Yeti costume has been seen prowling the streets after officials closed the roads to traffic.

While Boston residents were asleep in their homes this morning a lone figure was making the most of the snow and ice by wandering around outside dressed as the abominable snowman.

The unidentified prankster made light of the wintery conditions as he walked around in the snow while a second individual took photographs and posted them up on Twitter. One of the pictures shows him trying to hail a cab while another claims that his presence is responsible for the schools being closed.

The MoMo Tale

“No, not our MoMo — the MoMo in the folklore of our state.”

“Never heard of him,” was the reply — and as soon as the admission became an echo, I rubbed the dog MoMo’s ears and was out the door to find “MoMo The Unknown” at the State Historical Society of Missouri.

MoMo, the dog, is really named Mo because once he was always hungry and when he emptied his food dish — a large dish for an 80-pound pooch — he looked at you and grunted “mo” for more. We call him MoMo because it is a more lyrical name than just Mo.

“MoMo” of MoMo The Unknown is an abbreviation for “Missouri Monster.” In case you don’t already know that story, here’s the tale taken from articles in the Louisiana (Mo.) Press-Journal and the Columbia Missourian.

MoMo, the monster, was first sighted in July 1971, in the brush on a hillside in the Mississippi River town of Louisiana. Picnickers including Joan Mills and Mary Ryan reported encountering a foul-smelling, black, manlike, 7-foot-tall monster with a pumpkin-size head, furry body and hair obscuring its eyes.

The frightened picnickers locked themselves in their automobiles. MoMo ate their picnic food and disappeared into the brush. Reports that he had been seen along the river were never verified.

It was just about a year later, midafternoon on July 11, 1972, when the children of Edgar Harrison were startled to see a tall, upright creature carrying a dead dog into the woods fewer than 50 yards from the Harrison home. The monster matched the description of the 1971 sighting.

Marzolf Hill, which towers over Louisiana, was declared off-limits to the public after the area was inundated by armed vigilante groups out to kill the monster.

Others came forward to tell of hearing the monster roar and crash through the brush. Shelby Ward, Louisiana’s police chief at the time, organized an official search party of 30 and scoured the hillside for hours. They found fresh trails, broken brush and footprints, but no sign that could not have been made by horse or human.

The police chief was convinced that nothing in the way of a monster was on the hill. But he was alarmed by the number of people — including national news networks, a pair of reporters from the Missourian, and radicals carrying guns — who were on the hill. He feared someone becoming trigger happy and urged everyone to stay home.

Soon afterward, Hayden Hewes, director of a private UFO bureau, arrived to investigate. Edgar Harrison — father of the children who sighted MoMo with a dead dog — circulated reports of UFO sightings near Louisiana. Hewes found a single footprint and said the print belonged to a prehistoric man; he urged that the beast should not be killed. Previously, footprints had been submitted to Lawrence Curtis, director of the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden. He declared them a hoax.

For the next six years, according to a 1978 follow-up story in the Columbia Missourian, Harrison maintained the area was disturbed by an annual visit, usually around July 11, by something that howled and snorted like a cougar — though no cougars were known to be in the area. He also claimed that each spring something tore up a kennel at a neighbor’s house.

Fast-forward to 2015. Dave Moller, editor of the Press-Journal, wrote a piece about MoMo. He talked to the Harrison children, long grown into adulthood, and they chose not to discuss it because of the ridicule the family had endured after their first report. There was no longer a MoMo Street Festival, which had been very popular in the years after the story broke. Various sightings continue for a few years, but by 2015 none had been made in decades. MoMo seems to be “No Mo.”

Un système solaire incroyablement ancien découvert

La découverte est majeure. Et pour cause, puisque une équipe internationale d'astronomes vient de découvrir un système planétaire vieux de 11.2 milliards d'années. Soit "presque" l'âge de l'Univers, estimé actuellement à 13.8 milliards d'années. En d'autres termes, ce système planétaire, constitué d'une étoile et de cinq petites planètes, est ni plus ni moins le plus vieux système planétaire connu à ce jour.

"Nous n'avons jamais vu quelque chose comme cela. Cette vieille étoile et ce grand nombre de petites planètes est quelque chose de très spécial", indique Dr Daniel Huber (Institut d'astronomie de Sydney, Australie), co-auteur de l'étude, dans un communiqué publié par l'Université de Sydney (Australie).

Ce résultat est exceptionnel, car il vient tout d'abord démontrer que des systèmes planétaires dotés de planètes semblables à la Terre ont eu la capacité de se former beaucoup plus tôt que prévu dans l'histoire de l'univers. De fait, ce système planétaire, baptisé Kepler 444, est apparu 2.6 milliards d'années seulement après la naissance présumée de l'univers : "Il est extraordinaire qu'un tel système planétaire doté de planètes de taille semblable à la Terre se soit formé alors que l'univers était à ses débuts, au cinquième seulement de son âge actuel. Kepler 444 est 2.5 fois plus âgé que notre système solaire, lequel n'a que 4.6 milliards d'années", poursuit Daniel Huber.

A l'évidence, cette découverte va modifier en profondeur la façon dont l'univers et son développement étaient jusqu'ici vus par les astronomes : "Cela nous dit que des planètes de cette taille se sont formées durant la grande majorité de l'histoire de l'univers, et nous sommes bien placés pour comprendre quand tout cela a débuté", explique encore Daniel Huber.

Les implications sont également très importantes en ce qui concerne la détection de possibles formes de vie sur d'autres planètes. En effet, si de tels systèmes planétaires, constitués de planètes de taille aussi semblables à la Terre, ont existé aussi tôt dans l'histoire de l'univers, alors cela augmente sensiblement la probabilité pour que la vie ait eu le temps d'émerger ailleurs dans l'univers.

Et plus encore, en suivant ce raisonnement jusqu'au bout, il est même possible de faire l'hypothèse que, si des formes de vie ont eu la possibilité d'apparaître plus tôt que prévu dans l'histoire de l'univers, alors ces formes de vie ont probablement eu le temps de devenir éminemment complexes au fil du temps... Voire même, de s'éteindre. Et l'astronome Tiago Campante (Université de Birmingham, Royaume-Uni), autre co-auteur de ces travaux, d'expliquer : "Nous savons maintenant que des planètes de la taille de la Terre se sont formées durant la majorité de l'histoire de l'univers longue de 13.8 milliards d'ann"es, ce qui pourrait ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives quant à la possible existence de formes anciennes de vie dans la galaxie".

Venons-en maintenant à la nature de la découverte réalisée par cette équipe internationale d'astronomes : comment se présente précisément le système planétaire  Kepler 444 ? Situé à 117 années-lumière de la Terre, ce système planétaire est constitué de cinq petites planètes, dont les tailles approchent celle de la Terre puisqu'elles varient entre celle de Mercure et de Vénus. Quant à l'étoile située en son cœur, il s'agit d'une vieille étoile de type "naine orange", soit une étoile 25% plus petite que notre Soleil, et par conséquent moins chaude.

Ces planètes sont-elles situées dans la zone habitable de leur étoile ? Non. Elles en sont trop proches, toutes situées à quelques 12 millions de kilomètres de leur astre, dont elles font le tour en 10 jours au maximum.

Quant à la composition de ces planètes, probablement rocheuses comme la Terre et non gazeuses, elles seraient composées d'éléments légers comme le carbone, l'azote et le soufre.

Ces travaux sont publiés dans la revue The Astrophysical Journal, sous le titre "AN ANCIENT EXTRASOLAR SYSTEM WITH FIVE SUB-EARTH-SIZE PLANETS"

Unexplained Floating Ball Of Fire Spotted Over Argentina, Possible UFO

A bystander has caught video of a mysterious floating fireball that appears to hang over the sky in Argentina. With no explanation available many are claiming it to be a UFO.

The video was actually taken at the beginning of January but has only just been uploaded onto the internet. According to UFO Sightings Daily, local residents in Frías spotted the fireball and at first believed it was nothing more than a meteor.

Of course meteors move at very high speeds when entering the Earth's atmosphere and so tend to appear and disappear in seconds.

UFOs come in many shapes and sizes, from your 'classic metallic disc' that has a tendency to float above well-known landmarks, to your less common 'fiery ball of death' UFO which appears, burns very brightly and then promptly disappears.

There are usually explanations for all of these, and in time, one will probably present itself for this one too. Until that point however we're none the wiser and neither is everyone else so watch, enjoy, and relish in shameless speculation.

UFOs Outside The International Space Station: Why Do We Keep Seeing Them?

Humans have been in continuous orbit aboard the International Space Station for 14 years and 85 days.

In that time 216 individual astronauts from 15 nations have circled the Earth around 90,000 times, travelling just shy of 8km a second, watching the sun rise once every 45 minutes.

Occasionally, they see stuff outside in the dark.

And occasionally, so do people down here.

Whether NASA likes it or not, ISS is increasingly becoming a real focus for UFO hunters. Last week a piece of footage supposedly showing something rising above the horizon became the basis for one of the most popular stories on this website in recent weeks.

So what was it? And why do UFO hunters keep claiming that ISS is more than it appears - even though, as almost everyone knows, this is largely a huge waste of everyone's time?

The Astronaut Sightings

"I saw some lights that seemed to be in a line and it was almost like an upside-down check mark," astronaut Leroy Chiao told HuffPost last year, about a famous incident during a space walk outside ISS in 2005.

"And I saw them fly by and thought it was awfully strange."

But no, it wasn't aliens. Like several such 'eerie sightings' by ISS astronauts over the years, this was a case of disquieting - but mistaken - unidentity.

"It wasn't just one fishing boat, but a line of them strung out along the South American coast," Chiao said. "That's why it looked like five lights from the ISS."

Chiao's story is similar to several incidents in the long history of ISS.

The fact is that while 'unexplained' or weird sightings of lights and even objects have been reported throughout the history of the space race, none have ever held any real weight as UFO 'experiences'.

When astronaut Chris Cassidy saw a UFO floating past his window in 2013? That was an antenna cover. When Italy's Samantha Cristoforetti reported an "almost alien" presence outside the space station, she was commenting on the sunshine and not an actual alien. And no, slightly pausing before answering a UFO question is not the same thing as saying you saw one.

As it turns out, all the reports by ISS astronauts of aliens' fall into the same problems as those seen by other space travellers. Like the time Gemini IV pilot saw a rotating white cylinder in space? (A rocket booster.) The circular 'objects' that approached the Space Shuttle in 1996? A video illusion. And no, there weren't any aliens outside the Apollo 11 capsule, despite some poorly-worded quotes indicating the contrary.

The Sightings From Earth

There is a loose theory which states any sufficiently over-analysed event will eventually appear inexplicable.

Whether it's an assassination or a sports event, the theory says that if enough people scour enough video and photographic evidence, they can use it to explain pretty much anything.

In the case of ISS, that's a bit of a problem.

There have always been cameras on board the space station. And there have always been publicly-available archives of images and video clips to scour for any minute imperfection - a blip of data, a reflecting light - to blow up on Photoshop and claim as evidence of a UFO.

But as of 2014, NASA has been broadcasting - and archiving constant, live high-definition video of Earth. Almost immediately UFOs started showing up (on YouTube). And since then things have gotten a bit out of hand.

Since October alone at least four UFOs appear to have been recorded outside ISS. Earlier this year someone even spotted a ship 'docked' with the space station. Many of these typically pixelated, slowed-down clips are the work of the notorious UFO sleuth Streetcap1, who documents large numbers of UFO sightings on his Facebook page and on YouTube (he has almost 10,000 subscribers), which are collected by UFOSightingsDaily and - from time to time - republished by sites like ours. And now they turn up all, the, time.

In one clip recently the NASA feed seemed to cut off right after a grey shape (probably the Moon) emerged over the horizon. Streetcap1 said it definitely wasn't the Moon, but which turned out to be the Moon. In the meantime we wrote a short, sceptical post about it and it ended up being shared on Facebook 60,000 times.

So what's going on?

First, let's just assume for the moment that these objects aren't really aliens. There is, of course, a minute possibility that they are - though we'd need a bit more than a shiny light in the far distance of a 10-second video to believe it.

In reality, this just seems like a problem of volume. The amount of footage being streamed constantly from ISS means that something with some imperfection is almost always going to turn up somewhere in a week's worth of video - if you look hard enough, you'll find a bright object in the background, just as you would if it was live-streamed video of any other dark area.

And it's not as if there aren't a whole load of possible explanations: stray asteroids, space debris, reflections and even an oddly-shaped Moon have all been blamed for sightings in the past.

• "Spacecraft-generated 'dandruff' has been seen since the very first human spaceflights, when the non-intuitive relative motions and impossible-to-judge distances in the earthly environment of outer space tricked observers into misinterpreting visual stimuli," James Oberg, a former space engineer who specialized in NASA space shuttle operations, told HuffPost recently.
• "It shouldn't be surprising that only half a century later, most folks watching YouTube videos are still totally flummoxed by what they understandably and excusably can't comprehend… It's good to keep scanning space video for possible anomalies and reporting them quickly. The reason is, there is always a real chance that it could be a genuine anomaly, either a spacecraft malfunction or other threat, expected or unexpected. In the past, missions have failed because a clue that should have been seen out the window was overlooked."

Ultimately, though, sites like Examiner.com -- and us -- also share some of the blame. For whatever reason, 'UFO Outside ISS' makes for a fairly good and easy headline - and so we and others often end up taking the bait and publishing it, although usually in honest jest rather than pretend surprise. We'll try to resist that in future - and we'll always let you know what we really think is going on in a particular trending clip.

Whatever you think about aliens, however, it's hard not to admit that it is a nice idea - that an astronaut dreamily looking out of the Cupola window might see ET flying past in a saucer.

NASA: There Is A Giant Square Structure Hidden Under The Moon

Usually when someone on the internet writes about 'geometric forms' found on the Moon, it's a crazy UFO hunter who doesn't understand pixelation of composite images taken at high altitudes.

This is different.

Scientists report that rifts across large areas of the Moon's surface actually forms an enormous rectangle.

The area in question is the Ocean of Storms, an enormous and obvious feature of the Moon which was once thought to literally contain an ocean.

In the modern era of astronomy it has been understood - of course - that the 'Ocean' is actually just another area of basalt rock (the technical term is 'maria', which is just Latin for 'sea').

But it had always been assumed that the shape was a 2,000-mile-wide crater caused by an asteroid impact - and represented a lucky escape for Earth.

Now they're not so sure. In fact a new study suggests that the ocean was actually caused by cooling lava on the early Moon - and that the satellite was actually far more active and dynamic than we used to think.

The discovery was made using data from NASA's GRAIL mission, which mapped the gravity of the Lunar surface in exquisite detail. The images revealed that the topography of the surface in the area is almost a perfect rectangle - indicating it formed as the Moon's surface moved apart from itself.

• "GRAIL has revealed features on the moon that no one anticipated before we had this data in hand," said lead study author Jeffrey Andrews-Hanna, a planetary scientist at the Colorado School of Mines, according to Space.com. "One can only wonder what might lie hidden beneath the surfaces of all of the other planets in the solar system."

Andrews-Hanna added that the "pattern of gravity anomalies on the moon is so strikingly geometric and in such an unexpected shape that it is forcing us to think in new and different ways about the processes operating on the moon".

The working theory is that the early molten moon cooled in a similar way to the early Earth, where lava tends to cool in hexagonal columns. This happens because where three cracks intersect, they tend to do it at 120-degree angles - and a hexagon is the only shape on a flat surface where all the angles can be 120 degrees.

But on the Moon, in the Procellarum region, the surface is curved not flat - and a rectangle can form with 120 degree corners. Hence the square-like structure.

So no, it's not a giant space station under Lunar surface. But it's interesting and unexpected anyway, and could lead to lots of new interesting ways of thinking about the Moon and other planets.

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft zooms in on Pluto

January 27, 2015 - Pluto, get ready for your close-up.

After traveling nine years across more than 3 billion miles of space, a spacecraft the size of a grand piano is about to give humanity its first high-resolution view of the dwarf planet that's about two-thirds the size of our moon.

Nobody knows what the rendezvous will reveal. Pluto's icy surface may resemble an extreme version of Antarctica, with snow-capped mountains, steep crevasses and towering ice cliffs. The planet could be surrounded by rings of tiny ice particles, like its giant neighbor Neptune. There may even be evidence that an ancient ocean once sloshed beneath the frozen crust of its largest moon, Charon.

When it comes to Pluto, nothing is certain.

"Our knowledge of Pluto is quite meager," said planetary scientist Alan Stern, the principal investigator for the NASA mission known as New Horizons. "It is very much like our knowledge of Mars was before our first mission there 50 years ago."

New Horizons is poised to change all that. Sunday, the spacecraft's long-range cameras will begin snapping pictures of Pluto and its moons against a backdrop of stars. New Horizons has been taking detailed measurements of the dust and charged particles in the dwarf planet's environment since mid-January.

More data will be collected during the months leading up to the mission's big moment this summer: a close approach on July 14 that will take the spacecraft just 7,700 miles from Pluto's surface.

From that distance, New Horizons will be able to determine what the dwarf planet is made of, create temperature maps of its multi-colored surface, and look for auroras in its thin atmosphere. Scientists and the public will see the first high-definition images this summer.

Until now, the best pictures astronomers have managed to get consist of a few hazy pixels that were captured by the Hubble Space Telescope more than a decade ago. The resolution is so poor that if you looked at a comparable image of Earth, you wouldn't be able to distinguish the continents from the seas.

The instruments on New Horizons will take images so detailed that if they were pictures of Los Angeles, they would show individual runways at Los Angeles International Airport, said Stern, who is based at the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colo.

"What I'm most looking forward to is taking this point of light and transforming it into a planet," he said.

The existence of a planet beyond Neptune was first hypothesized in the early 20th century after scientists noticed what they thought were disturbances in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus. Those wobbles turned out to be measurement errors, but decades of searching for the elusive "Planet X" led astronomers to Pluto in 1930.

Despite its great distance and diminutive size, scientists have been able to glean a remarkable amount of information from the anemic data gathered so far. By watching Pluto's movements across the night sky, they deduced that it takes 248 Earth years to make one trip around the sun. Because Pluto's brightness oscillates in a regular pattern, they think it makes a complete rotation on its axis every 6.4 Earth days.

Astronomers also noted that Pluto ventures far above and below the paths of the major planets in our night sky, leading them to conclude that its orbital plane has a distinctive tilt.

Close observations have revealed that Pluto has at least five moons — the biggest being Charon, which is about the size of Texas.
