Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

USAF Investigation of UFO Over Travis Air Force Base Among Unidentified
I recently wrote about the United States Air Force's files regarding their investigation of UFOs, Project Blue Book, and how they have become more accessible. The news regarding these files has become a big national story, albeit much of the coverage has been inaccurate.
Among the cases listed as unidentified in Project Blue Book, there are many that left investigators baffled, and this is one of them. Originally investigated by Project Sign, which eventually turned into Project Blue Book, this sighting took place on December 3, 1948 at Fairfield-Suisun Air Force Base in California, now named Travis Air Force Base.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., the base control tower was manned by two airmen, a sergeant and a private first class. The private noticed an object about 2 miles north of the control tower. It was flying at an estimated 500 to 1000 feet, moving vertically and climbing slowly. It was moving fast. He estimated it to be 400 miles per hour. The private rushed to the side of the tower closest to the object. The object then slowed to about half its previous speed. The private estimated at this point it was at an altitude of about 1500 feet. He says the object also began to slightly undulate in a "bouncing" motion.
The object then suddenly began to climb nearly straight up until it reached an estimated 3000 feet and leveled off. By now the sergeant was also watching the object. He asked the private to call the Airborne Air Control Operations Officer while he continued to observe the object.
The sergeant says soon after the private went to make the call, the object shot up quickly to the south-southeast until it reached about 20,000 feet. He then lost sight of it.
The airmen had been able to view the object using 8-power binoculars, and described the object as a circular light between one and two feet in diameter. They compared the size to one of the base's high-intensity runway lamps. As for the shape of the object, they said it was so bright that it distorted the silhouette of whatever the object's true shape may have been.
The object could be seen with the naked eye. They said the light was bright, but not blinding. The private was certain that it was not a navigational light from an aircraft. Neither of the witnesses heard the object making any sound. Nor did they see any sort of trail left by it. It was a clear night, and the tower instruments indicated there was a 10 mile per hour wind blowing to the southwest. The two control tower operators were the only witnesses to the UFO, and the object was not caught on radar.
The Air Force investigators looked into the backgrounds of the two witnesses in order to establish their credibility. They found that they had no police records and were "considered fully reliable, competent airmen by their fellow NCO's [sic]."
It was also noted that their normal duties required them to know colors, estimate the speed of moving aircraft, and estimate size and distance. The investigators concluded, "AACS officer in charge of the observers consider them high type individuals fully qualified both mentally and physically for control tower duty: they are considered competent, reliable observers psychologically stable [sic]."
Having established the credibility of the airmen, investigators then looked to the object. First they checked if there were any known launchings of weather balloons in the area. They found there had been a launch 35 to 45 minutes prior to the sightings. However, the balloon could no longer be seen from the base 10 minutes after it was launched.
A meteorological assessment was also completed. The object was first compared to a fireball. It was noted that even trained observers can be fooled by fireballs. Often fireballs are reported to have fallen nearby when in actuality they are hundreds of miles away. It was also noted that they can appear to move up depending on the slant when they enter the earth's atmosphere. However, the analyst concluded that "a fireball would not come into view at 1000' and rise to 20,000'." Thus, "an astronomical interpretation for the incident can be ruled out."
It was taken under considered that the object might be a meteor. However, the expert noted the object made no sound and did not leave a trail. He concluded it was not likely that the object was "any known meteorological or auroral phenomenon." Still, the analyst's final word was that, although the description of the object did not fit the description of a meteor, that this possibility must be considered.
The sighting seemed to garner extra scrutiny, as did all of the unidentified cases. One of the files in the report is a relaying of the events from the witness that was a private to Major Arthur Conradi Jr., the USAF Chief of Intelligence at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The report to Major Conradi Jr. may have been part of a reevaluation of unidentified cases that was conducted by Project Grudge, Sign's successor and Blue Book's precursor, in 1949.
Dr. J. Allen Hynek, at the time a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio State University and a consultant for Project Grudge, listed this case under, "Evidence offered suggests no explanation."
This case, due to the high credibility and regard for the witnesses, and the mysterious nature of the unidentified object they observed, has remained unidentified. It is another example of a great case that underwent a high level of scrutiny only to remain one of hundreds of unidentified objects in the U.S. Air Force's UFO files.

“There might be people living out there, out in the middle of cold dark space, that don’t have a Milky Way,” says Harvey Moseley, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Astronomers have spotted a faint cosmic glow, unseen until now, that may come from stars that float adrift between galaxies. The discovery suggests that as many as half of all stars in the Universe lurk outside galactic boundaries.
The work shows, reported by Nature, shows how little astronomers know about intergalactic space, and how it contributes to the energy budget of the Universe, says Juna Kollmeier, an astronomer at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena. In June, Kollmeier and her colleagues reported a ‘missing light’ problem: there are not nearly enough stars and galaxies to explain other observations in intergalactic space2. She calls the latest finding “provocative”, but is not convinced by the models the new study used to conclude that the light was coming from extragalactic stars
The stars were probably tossed there when galaxies collided (trail of stars from colliding galaxies shown in Hubble above). A team led by astrophysicist Michael Zemcov, of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, reports the discovery in the 7 November issue of Science1.
The findings come from the Cosmic Infrared Background Experiment (CIBER), which flew briefly into space in 2010 and 2012 aboard a sounding rocket. As CIBER soared above the atmosphere, it looked at five different regions in space for about a minute each, gathering as many particles of cosmic light as possible. The flights took place at different times of year, so that the astronomers could subtract the confounding effects of the zodiacal light, the glow of sunlight that is scattered off interplanetary dust.
CIBER was designed to look for fluctuations in infrared light to hunt for signs of some of the first galaxies that formed in the Universe. The light of these galaxies has been redshifted to infrared wavelengths because of the Universe’s expansion.
But when Zemcov and his colleagues began to sift through CIBER’s data, they realized that the light it captured was not nearly red enough to have come from ancient galaxies. The light must be coming from something closer and more modern, they say — such as ordinary stars.
The scientists extrapolated from CIBER’s fields of view to the entire Universe, and concluded that there was much more light than could be explained by known galaxies. That means the light is probably coming from stars between galaxies, says team member Jamie Bock, an astrophysicist at Caltech. “These stars produce as much background light as the galaxies themselves,” he says. “That’s really exciting.”
Stars normally reside within galaxies, but can be yanked out by gravitational forces when galaxies collide. Bock suspects that a lot of these renegade stars could have come from relatively lightweight galaxies, which can lose hold of their stars more easily than more massive galaxies.
“If this is true, then there is an entire population of stars that’s been sitting out there, but because they are individually so faint we can really only see them in ensemble,” says Moseley.
Bock and his colleagues are now building a follow-up experiment, CIBER2, which will look at visible rather than infrared wavelengths. They hope that it will reveal new information about the background glow and exactly what kinds of stars could be contributing to it.

An asteroid the size five football fields is approaching Earth and is expected to pass by on Monday. It will be visible through strong binoculars – definitely worth getting; the next time such an asteroid could be this close again will be in 2027.
At the closest point to the Earth, asteroid 2004 BL86 will be at a distance of 1.2 million kilometers which – approximately three times the distance from the Earth to the moon. Estimated to be 0.5 km in diameter, it is classified by scientists as potentially dangerous.
A space object is considered “potentially dangerous” if it crosses the Earth's orbit at a distance of less than 0.05 AU (approximately 19.5 distances from the Earth to the Moon), and if its diameter exceeds 100-150 meters. Objects of this size are large enough to cause unprecedented destruction, or generate a tsunami in case they fall into the ocean.

A UFO hunter found the images in footage from the Apollo 7 mission, which featured the first ever live broadcast from space.
The spaced-out blogger claimed the image showed "aliens viewing human history being made".

Some oddballs claimed the UFO could even be an angel, whilst others were certain the images showed NASA trying to prevent humanity from knowing about alien life.
"There's def something being covered up here," one UFO enthusiast wrote. "No pun intended."
However, in the comment beneath the UFO bloggers' piece, one killjoy clever-clogs ruined everyone's fun.
"The tape is nothing sinister," wrote an anonymous commentor. "It is just the usual tape which holds the end of the film reel to the spool. I used to process film back in the 70's and many brands used adhesive tape in this way."

Adventurous consumers can purchase just about anything on Craigslist these days, including possibly “p**sed off” ghosts residing inside ordinary wooden chests.
The folks over at the Huffington Post caught wind of a guy who attempted to purchase some kind of supernatural entity residing inside a cramped wooden container from a seller on Craigslist. Unfortunately for the would-be ghost owner, the man sold it to another prospective buyer before he could close the deal.
The story of the Craigslist ghost first appeared over at Barstool Sports. According to a guy named Dan, he stumbled across someone selling the spectral being for $300. This included the aforementioned wooden container, which the ghost apparently called home.

“I have a male Ghost for sale. He came into my house when I purchased a old wooden chest. He is attached to the Chest. The chest comes along with the Ghost. He is attached to it. What ever room I put the chest in, he hangings around it. If I try to hide the Chest, he searches for it and even gets mad if he can’t find it for awhile. You get the chest and the Ghost for $300.00.”
After emailing the seller some questions — including if the ghost was a Green Bay Packers fan — Dan began a curious conversation with the seller. Unfortunately, the price of the ghost jumped from $300 to around $1,000, much to the would-be owner’s dismay.
Here’s what the ghost’s handler had to say about the entity in question.
“Hi there. I cant answer any of your questions, and if you showed up with $1000. I would not and could not sell to you. This is serious. I p**sed it off once and it hurt me. I have pics. I have also played around with it and had a little fun. I have a video of that. If I try to send it off with just anyone, it will hurt me. I am not a quack and this is real.”

This isn’t the first ghost-related ad to pop up on Craigslist. Total Sorority Move recently spotted a listing for a possibly haunted college house.
“The ad in question presented a relatively normal college house: old and slightly decrepit with low rent and a crushed red Solo cup on the front lawn. Nothing strange there. Upon further inspection, I noticed the title of the ad read ‘1 Bedroom / House / West Campus / Pool / Possibly Haunted.'”
Man Cooked To Death In Sauna When Timer Malfunctions
NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – A South Florida family is grieving following the sudden death of their loved one.
Dennis Antiporek, 68, left a note Sunday night saying he was going to the sauna. Hours later, when he hadn’t returned, his daughter went to look for him.
“When I opened the door, I looked and there was a black man in the sauna. It wasn’t my dad so I shut the door and I looked, the clothes hanging it was his clothes,” said Lara Antiporek, Dennis’s daughter.
Ronnie Antiporek, Dennis Antiporek’s wife, can’t get the image out of her mind.
“I close my eyes and I just see his face charred,” said Ronnie Antiporek. “And this sounds horrible, but there was skin on the floor and on the bench and we shouldn’t have had to see that.”
She says Dennis was her high school sweetheart. He died just shy of his 69 birthday and their 50 wedding anniversary.
The family has hired a lawyer who plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the management company and the condo’s homeowner’s association, Eden Isles Condominiums.
The family’s lawyer believes the timer in the sauna failed to shut off the heat.
“First and foremost, we want to make sure that this community maintains a level of safety for all residents,” said Attorney Joseph Madalon.
CBS4 reached out to Elite Management—in charge of care for the sauna. The company had no comment.
The association did not answer when CBS4 called for comment.
All though Dennis Antiporek’s death was first classified as a natural, his body has been turned over to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. - Miami.CBS Local

Man who admits killing mom wants cats' names on murder indictment
WOBURN, Mass. —A man who confessed to killing his mother and her two cats has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation before a judge will consider a request to change his plea to guilty.
Matthew McAveeney, 46, of Winchester, has pleaded not guilty to murder in the beating death of his mother, Barbara, and to animal cruelty charges.
McAveeney fled Massachusetts after her slaying and was arrested in North Carolina in October. He later confessed to the crime on camera.
"To my mother Barbara McAveeney and to her cats, Pumpkin and Puffy McAveeney, I apologize deeply," he said to news cameras in October as he got out of a police van.
McAveeney also requested to amend the indictment to include the names of the cats.
"(The indictment) does not name animals that were killed. The animals were living beings; they had lives; they had personalities; they had identities. If I am going to be convicted of killing them, I would like them to be known for what they were and who they were by their names," he said.
The judge allowed the change.
McAveeney will return to court after a mental evaluation. The judge will decide then whether to accept the plea change request. - WCVB

Matthew McAveeney, 46, of Winchester, has pleaded not guilty to murder in the beating death of his mother, Barbara, and to animal cruelty charges.
McAveeney fled Massachusetts after her slaying and was arrested in North Carolina in October. He later confessed to the crime on camera.
"To my mother Barbara McAveeney and to her cats, Pumpkin and Puffy McAveeney, I apologize deeply," he said to news cameras in October as he got out of a police van.
McAveeney also requested to amend the indictment to include the names of the cats.
"(The indictment) does not name animals that were killed. The animals were living beings; they had lives; they had personalities; they had identities. If I am going to be convicted of killing them, I would like them to be known for what they were and who they were by their names," he said.
The judge allowed the change.
McAveeney will return to court after a mental evaluation. The judge will decide then whether to accept the plea change request. - WCVB

No sign yet of extraterrestrial life found by Curiosity Rover on Mars, but a newly discovered cat statue among the Martian landscapes may just an evidence of alien life that researchers need, according to the report from Inquisitr.
Microbial life on the Red Planet has long been considered a possibility, but others are more thrilled to know if there’s another kind of life that exists or existed on the planet.
Many UFO and alien aficionados speculate that artifacts from Mars could prove a flourishing civilization or an existence of beings who lived on Mars at some point in time.
One of the alleged artifacts, which alien and UFO enthusiasts are referring, is an apparent cat statue discovered among the photos taken by the Curiosity Rover.
YouTube username UFOvni2012 posted a video on the site saying that there’s something more to the rock formation photographed by the Curiosity Rover on the planet’s surface.
Some UFO bloggers said that one could make out the ear, eyes, and mouth of the statue upon a thorough examination. At least one blogger also noticed another cat-like figure in other pictures from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab website.
Curiosity Rover made its landing on the Martian surface on August 6, 2012 and has since busy doing its missions, including examining the planet’s environmental condition and signs of life. Researchers speculate that some areas of the Red Planet are once lakebeds of chemical energy, mild water, and other essential elements that could give a hint that microbial life possibly developed on the planet.
One of the next missions of the Rover is to conduct a mini drill test on Mojave rock to assess the suitability of the stone for full-on drilling, and also collect samples of unknown crystal shapes that were discovered on the rock.
If the drilling of Martian rock becomes successful, researchers could look for mineral salts that evaporated on the planet after being left behind by a lake.
Someone is very interested in our nuclear plants around the world – interested enough to be flying various aircraft over and around them in plain sight. Who is doing this? While the media, government agencies and many people in France – a country with a large nuclear power industry where numerous sightings have occurred recently – believe the crafts are drones flown by nuclear protesters, the director of one of these plants recently said that, in his opinion, the recent one seen over his facility was a UFO.
In the fall of 2014, it was reported that there were anywhere from 13 to 18 incidents of French nuclear power plants being targets of surveillance or suspicious hovering by UFOs. One of them was the Blayais Nuclear Power Plant in southwestern France. In a presentation on the fiscal and security status of his plant, director Pascal Pezzani told the audience that there definitely was something flying over the facility (not the image above) but it was not a drone – it was a UFO. These UFO sightings over nuclear facilities worldwide have been occurring long before drones became available. While many plants do not hesitate to report them, none seem to want to contact or confront them. Why not?

Several UFOs have been seen over nuclear power plants in France and Belgium over the last few months. They have been reported as unidentified drones, but a director at one of the plants in France says, unequivocally, that these were not drones, they were UFOs.
We first wrote about the UFO overflights of nuclear power plants in France and Belgium last week. We were notified of the story, and this latest development, by German news blogger, Andreas Müller. He runs the website, Grewi.de, which covers “frontier-science and the paranormal.”
He had previously posted a story which included eye witness testimony from witnesses who had spotted the UFOs. Müller felt that their descriptions were not indicative of drones.
According to Austrian news site ORF.at, there were 18 separate occasions UFOs were seen flying over nuclear power plants in France between early October and early November. The latest incident was announced on January 3, 2015. The nuclear power plant in Nogent-sur-Seine, southeast of Paris, says two security guards saw “two flying objects.”
The media and authorities have suspected the objects were drones flown by anti-nuclear activists to demonstrate that the plants were open to terrorist attacks via drones. However, the drones are of such a high level of sophistication that the authorities have not been able to track them. The largest anti-nuclear organizations have also denied any involvement.
As the months have passed, and the concerns have grown, France has not come any closer to identifying the origins of the mysterious aircraft, and it appears not all of the authorities believe drones are to blame.
According to the French newspaper Sud Ouest, a director of one of the nuclear power plants has expressed his opinion that drones are not what has been flying over the plants. Pascal Pezzani, Director of Blayais Nuclear Power Plant in southwestern France, held a presentation on the plant’s results for 2014, and the outlook for the plant in the future.

Pezzani addressed the drone issue, and stated (translated by Google Translate): “Here, we have not seen drone. We saw a UFO and there was no impact on the safety of our sites. Our position is clear, when there overflight of the site and we complain we communicate.”
Although, there is a little lost in translation, according to Müller, Pezzani is expressing that when there is an overflight, they do file a complaint with the authorities. However, Sud Ouest points out that the overflight at this particular plant was in October, 2014, but was not communicated until December.
It has been reported that France is on “high alert” due to these UFO overflights, and with the latest being earlier this year, this mystery shows every indication of becoming an even bigger concern in 2015.

January 24, 2015 - It was about 10:20 p.m. on June 2nd 2000 when a couple of Mineola, NY residents noticed something in the northern sky that appeared to be wobbling back and forth. The two brothers scrambled for a set of binoculars that they had. After a few minutes of observation one of the young men exclaimed, “It’s a UFO.”
The other man was skeptical and thought it might be a commercial aircraft and snatched the binoculars for a look.
He tells us, “I took the binoculars and zeroed in on the object. I could not believe what I saw. It was not an airplane.”
What the two young men observed a rare cylinder UFO that eventually turned some 30 degrees to the right and disappeared in the haze.
Six days later on 8 June 2000, a Staten Island, NY resident witnessed a huge cylinder UFO with an estimated 400 lights on it.
“My friend first saw the cylinder UFO high in the sky; it was even more visible than the moon at 9:00 PM. It was a bit taller than the moon and about four times wider. It was bright white and he could see flashing lights on the bottom of the cylinder shaped object. The cylinder was totally silent!”
He tells us that an additional half dozen neighbors saw the craft as well as a couple of police officers.
Records prior to 1950 report virtually no cylinder UFO sightings. The decades of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s sport sighting levels with an average of about two sightings per decade. Around the year 2000, sightings began to increase to a little under a dozen per year.
Then in 2009, it was if some intergalactic starship dealer threw a gigantic sale because suddenly huge cylinder UFOs began appearing in New York Skies at a rate of about a dozen a year, as evidenced by the following chart.
World sightings for cylinder UFOs likewise has been on the rise. For example, the combined cylinder sightings from both the MUFON and NUFORC for 2014 total about 258 globally; giving New York State about 5% of the world cylinder sightings. I hope to continue my analysis of various classes of UFOs and their relative sighting numbers here New York.
Let’s look at some recent UFO sightings in New York skies:
27 December 2014: at about 7:15 p.m. a resident of Millbrook, NY observed blinking, wavering aircraft that shot off and disappeared.
27 December 2014: at about 10 p.m. a resident of Carmel, NY witnessed two red triangles flying close to the ground making no noise over Carmel.
29 December 2014: at about 6:30 p.m. a Yorktown, NY motorist saw an object out of the side of his car. He reports that it was large with a big neon green glow and that it disappeared shortly after he began observing it.
29 December 2014: at about 6:30 p.m. a resident of Ballston Lake, NY observed two large very bright, circular, white UFOs that appeared in a linear pattern for a brief moment then disappeared.
29 December 2014: at about 6:44 p.m. a resident of the Bronx reported a bright green object speeding in the sky.
It could even be the next step in piecing together the age-long conundrum of where life on Earth came from, with experts firmly pointing the finger outside our planet.
Professor Wainwright insists the particle, found in dust and particulate matter collected from the stratosphere, is biological.
Resembling a wisp of smoke under the microscope the minuscule organism, could hold the key to the long-pondered question are we alone?.
Professor Wainwright said: This is nothing short of a New Years present from outer space.
The width of a human hair and resembling a chiffon scarf with a ghostly appearance, the particle is definitely biological.
We can speculate that in its space environment this ghost particle is a living balloon which an alien microscopic organism might inflate with lighter than air gasses allowing it to float in the air or the seas of an unknown space environment.
The particle in the picture looks is more like a collapsed balloon, however in its natural state is probably inflated.
It is set to throw the scientific community into a frenzy of excitement and comes after the discovery last October of a similar dragon particle by Professor Wainwright and his team.
Both particles were found by sending balloons into the stratosphere 27 km above the Earths atmosphere and examining debris pulled back from space.
Professor Wainwright said: These are like nothing previously found on Earth.
It is amazing is that they appear on the sampling stubs in an absolutely pristine condition with no contamination like pollen, grass or pollution particles Unless a means of lifting them from Earth exists which selectively sieves them out from other Earth-derived debris then they must be incoming from space.
They also produce tiny dents we call impact craters when they land on the sampler so there is almost no doubt of their space origin.
Last year astronauts announced they had found traces of life on the surface of the International Space Station (ISS) which orbits Earth.
The discovery of tiny plankton on the ISS was the first time complex organisms were discovered in outer space.
Experiments previously showed bacteria can survive outside our planet but the discovery of the so-called diatoms supports the theory that the biochemical catalyst for human life originated elsewhere in the universe.
The research lent credence theories that not only does life exist in outer space, but extraterrestrial organisms including unknown viruses are continually raining down on earth.
Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology at the University of Buckingham in England, said newly released research shows DNA - the building blocks of life - can survive harsh extra-terrestrial conditions.
A small piece of DNA called a plasmid was sent into space from Sweden in 2011 on the exterior of a TEXUS-49 rocket.
After enduring 1,000C heat it was found to still be intact and with its biological properties when it returned to Earth.
Professor Wickramasinghe, who has long-maintained that alien life does exist, hailed the finding as further proof of this.
He said viruses and viral particles are constantly raining down on Earth from space in a process called cometary panspermia.
DNA carries the blueprint of all life, and its survival during space travel is essential if life is to be regarded a cosmic phenomenon, he said.
This finding shows that DNA and viruses can survive the rigours of space travel escape at high speed through the atmosphere of one planet and land in tact on another.
The result gives strong support for the Hoyle-Wickramasinghe theory of Evolution from Space.
It lends very strong support to the theory of cometary panspermia.
Professor Wainwright added: "Everything that we have on the Earth is derived from space, including humans".

A number of sightings of the unexplained satellite have been reported by government agencies over the decades, and reports confirm “unknown origin” from the US, Russian and European space agencies.

Monitoring stations around the world report strange, irregular signal transmissions from the object, these reports have been confirmed by the Muchea Australian satellite company responsible for monitoring space junk this year.
Also, claims that the broadcast signals are being monitored not only by the USA and Soviet Union, but also by other countries such as The UK, China and Sweden remain unproven.
It’s discovery is perhaps one of the biggest modern mysteries ever, and its being kept a secret.
Why?
This “Artificial Satellite” has caused mayor media interest since the late 50?s, and it has become one of the most talked about objects in space. First thought to be an Russian spy satellite, the Black Knight has gripped the interest of the US secret agencies.

Since the 1930?s Astronomers worldwide have also been reporting these strange radio signals which allegedly come from the object.
In 1957, Dr. Luis Corralos of the Communications Ministry in Venezuela photographed it while taking pictures of Sputnik II as it passed over Caracas. The strange thing was that unlike the Sputnik one and two, The Black Knight Satellite orbited Earth from East to West. Sputnik one and two orbited West to East using Earth’s natural rotation to maintain orbit.
According to research the first Polar orbiting satellite was launched in 1960. Polar orbits are often used for earth-mapping, earth observation, capturing the earth as time passes from one point and reconnaissance satellites. This would put the object in the category of a observational Satellite, the only question here is, who placed The Black Knight in a polar orbit and for what purpose?
One sighting linked to the object was in 1963, when Gordon Cooper launched into space. On his final orbit, he reported seeing a glowing green object in front of his capsule in the distance moving towards his Spacecraft. The Muchea tracking station, in Australia, which Cooper reported the object to, picked up this Unidentified object on Radar travelling East to West.
NBC reported this but after Cooper returned to Earth, the Reporter were not allowed to ask Cooper about the unidentified object. The official explanation given to Coopers sighting were “high levels of carbon dioxide, which caused hallucinations“.
No one has answered some of the most simple and logical questions to ask, who placed that “satellite” in Polar orbit? To what purpose?
It is possible the object has been in orbit for over 10,000 years. Recent projections and computer simulations show it’s orbit to be on an 11,456 year cycle, moving around our solar system, and back into earths orbit every 50 or so years.
Other sightings:
1957, an unknown “object” was seen “shadowing” the Sputnik 1 Spacecraft. According to reports, the “unidentified object” was in Polar orbit, at that time The United Stated nor the Russians possessed the technology to maintain a spacecraft in Polar Orbit.
A ley-line is a straight fault line in the earth’s tectonic plates; this is a scientific fact. What science though refuses to believe is that through these, cracks in the earth’s tectonic plates the magnetic energy released are very powerful indeed.
In fact many people have claimed to have felt the energy surge up their body, and some of them claim that they have blacked out as the surge was that powerful.
How Long Have Human Beings Known About Ley Lines?
Our ancestors have known about these lines for many hundreds of thousands years.
Every race and culture on the planet has known about these lines yet every one had different names for these lines. Many people here in the UK tended to think that the druids found these lines; this of course is complete and utter nonsense. All we need to do is to look at the ancient cultures of the earth.
Take the native Indians of the United States; they used to call ley lines spirit lines and their Shaman’s used to use the electro-magnetic energy in these lines to help them contact the spirits.
They even designed their medicine wheel on the spirit lines, as they knew that these lines followed a straight round line. How did they know about these lines and the energies that they give off? The answer’s simple: the sky Gods told them.
Whilst here in Europe we are lead to believe that the druids called them mystical lines, in Wales they used the same name as eastern countries; they called them dragon lines. We know that Eastern countries called them dragon lines as the sky Gods flew in dragons along these lines (I will draw on the Wales, Eastern connection in the next sub-heading ).
The aboriginal people of Australia called these lines dream lines, once again they claim that knowledge was passed on to them from the sky Gods.
Do Ley-Lines Emit Positive Or Negative Energy?
Yes, ley lines can give off positive or negative energy.
“How?” I hear you ask.
Well if a coven have gathered and practiced black rituals they can blacken the line from giving off positive energy to negative energy. Is there any proof for this? Yes, in the nineteen seventies, in the small Yorkshire mill town of Todmorden, a coven practiced in a small woodland area in the district of Cornhome. The woodland has four ley lines running trough it.
After the coven had stopped practicing there, the wildlife had disappeared from the area and did not return till nineteen ninety-six, after white witches had performed several cleansing rights there.
Also, the occult and paranormal author Andy Collins in his book the Black Alchemist claims that the people of hex are going round blacking ley lines. And through them doing this lead to the gales and great damage that ripped through the UK in nineteen eighty-seven.
This brings us back to why the Welsh call ley lines dragon lines. The Welsh called them this as the white dragon represented all what is good and wholesome in the world. Whereas the black dragon represented all that is bad and evil in the world, which then in turn brings us back to the Eastern philosophy of Ying and Yang the dark and the light.
One interesting fact is that the Swastika stone on Ilkley moor in Yorkshire is the oldest known depiction of a Swastika in Europe.

The cups in this design align north-south and east-west. The northern line points directly towards Simon’s Seat on the northern skyline. The eastern axis points directly at Almscliffe Crag, above which the equinox rises from here. This is probably the most famous carved rock on the moor,the Swastika Stone is generally considered to be later than the other carvings here and to date from the Iron Age.
The stone is believed to have over twenty ley lines intersecting through it.
A colleague of mine who reads Sanscrit claims that the Swastika on the stone is actually an old ancient Sanscrit of a Star/Planetary system map. That once again brings in the link to ley lines and the sky.
He also claimed that a Shaman would have used the rock in his ritual and religious ceremonies, and that it, with out doubt, predates the druids and their knowledge of ley lines.
How Does This Lead To The UFO/Abduction & Paranormal Connection?
As I now enter my twenty-first year of researching the UFO/Paranormal phenomenon, for the past fifteen of those years, I have started to notice how a lot of the phenomenon happens over areas saturated in ley lines.
At first I just thought it was all just coincidence. Then we I looked at the data I were collecting, by interviewing witnesses to these events. As well as during my research I read Maurice Crosse’s findings on the Enfield poltergeist and how he found that thirteen ley lines intersected the house. In his mind, that’s why the family were experiencing the activity.
I went back over all my cases with a fine toothed comb, and ninety- five percent of the sightings/activity all had taken place on ley lines. How can I prove this? Well, since being a young child I have been able to dowse for ley lines.
For my own piece of mind I brought in a gifted psychic whom I know, and took them to the sites to see what they could pick up.
Before I knew they had picked up that there were several ley lines running through the area, as they were in a trance like state, they point the lines out exactly where I had previously dowsed for them and found them. At no time did I tell them why we were going to the area. The only information I gave was that several people had been seeing an apparition at the site.
They even gave the description of the apparition, which had been witnessed there. We then went to two sites where UFOs had been observed. Once again they were drawn towards the ley lines first.
I also took them to places that didn’t have any ley lines and they confirmed that there were no ley lines there, yet the witnesses had observed something there. And they went into great detail as to what they had seen, though it was not as prominent as the things witnessed at the ley lines sites.
With this independent psychics’ findings, as at no time did I tell them what I was looking for, it confirmed what I was already beginning to suspect. Ley lines played an important part in what and why people were reporting more UFO/Paranormal events over ley line sites.
Then in nineteen ninety-six, when I began my research into the abduction phenomena, I found the parallel between abductions and ley lines. As most abductees seem to live on or around heavy ley line sites, I began to look at my own abductions and contactee experiences. I also noticed how I lived on heavy ley line sites.
At this time I was investigating the many UFO sites over the Scammonden area of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, as many people had reported seeing UFOs heading over to the area from the Todmorden and Halifax areas.
As my database grew, I decided to map out all the UFO/Abduction and paranormal reports on a map, and where the ley lines were.
I noticed how they formed a perfect equilateral triangle. From Scammonden to Todmorden through to Ilkley, I had the report and findings published in UFO Encounters magazine. The article was called The Yorkshire Triangle.
By this time my mind was made up strongly for the ley line link with the UFO/Abduction and paranormal phenomenon. All what were left for me to do was to find out why the phenomena are drawn to areas saturated with ley lines.
This is the first time that my conclusions have been printed, due to the fact that when I have given lectures on the phenomena and brought in the ley line connection, most of the people have gasped in disbelief. I only hope that you are more open minded to my ley line theory, than those who have heard it in the past.
I am not saying that it is a fact.
Only that is a big possibility that ley lines are drawing the phenomena to them as a magnet does iron filings.
Conclusions
As stated when I first came across the ley line connection, I thought it was coincidence for these things to happen where there are ley lines.
I checked all the sites and data I had collected over the years. Then I rechecked. I noticed that ninety-five percent of the incidents I had investigated happened where there are a heavy concentration of ley lines.
I asked myself why this were so? I realized how every ancient culture claimed that ley lines gave off positive or negative energy.

January 22, 2015 - Researchers have decoded ancient recordings from fragments of an asteroid dating back billions of years to the start of the Solar System.
They found tiny "space magnets" in meteorites which retain a memory of the birth and death of the asteroid's core.
Like the data recorded on the surface of a computer hard drive, the magnetic signals written in the space rock reveal how Earth's own metallic core and magnetic field may one day die.
The work appears in Nature journal.
Using a giant X-ray microscope, called a synchrotron, the team was able to read the signals that formed more than four-and-a-half billion years ago, soon after the birth of the Solar System.
The meteorites are pieces of a parent asteroid that originally came from asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter.
They represents the left-over fragments of a planet that failed to form. The magnetic recording within it traps a signal of the precise moments when an iron-rich core formed in the asteroid as well as when it froze, killing its magnetic field.
The new picture of metallic core solidification in the asteroid provide clues about the magnetic field and iron-rich core of Earth.
"Ideas about how the Earth's core evolved through history are really changing at the moment," lead researcher Dr Richard Harrison, from the University of Cambridge, told BBC News.
"We believe that Earth's magnetic field is linked to core solidification. Earth's solid inner core may have started to form at very interesting time in terms of the evolution of life on Earth.
"By studying an asteroid we get to see this in fast forward. We can see the start of core solidification in the magnetic records as well as its end, and start to think about how these processes work on Earth."
The meteorites studied by the team originally fell to Earth in Argentina, and are composed of gem-quality crystals enclosed in a metallic matrix of iron and nickel.
Tiny particles, smaller than one thousandth the width of a human hair, trapped within the metal have retained the magnetic signature of the parent asteroid from its birth in the early Solar System.
"We're taking ancient magnetic field measurements in nano-scale materials to the highest ever resolution in order to piece together the magnetic history of asteroids - it's like a cosmic archaeological mission," said Dr James Bryson, the paper's lead author.
"Since asteroids are much smaller than Earth, they cooled much more quickly, so these processes occur on a shorter timescales, enabling us to study the whole process of core solidification."
Prof Wyn William, from the University of Edinburgh, who was not involved in the study, commented: "To be able to get a time stamp on these recordings, to get a cooling rate and the time of solidification, is fantastic. It's a very nice piece of work."
The key to the long-lived stability of the recording is the atomic-scale structure of the iron-nickel particles that grew slowly in the asteroid core and survived in the meteorites.
Scientists have attempted to synthesise the same iron-nickel structures in the lab, without widespread success so far. But their remarkable magnetic properties rival those of rare earth magnets, a key component of wind turbines and electric cars.
They may yet prove a route to making cheap, strong magnets without the need for scarce rare earth metals.
Making a final comment on the results, Dr Harrison said: "In our meteorites we've been able to capture both the beginning and end of core freezing, which will help us understand how these processes affected the Earth in the past and provide a possible glimpse of what might happen in the future."
The Earth's magnetic field will likely die off when the core completely freezes, and Earth will no longer be protected from the Sun's radiation.
"There's no need to panic" said Dr Harrison. "The core won't completely freeze for billions of years, and chances are, the Sun will get us first."

Scientists Shoot Down Meteorite Theory in Antarctica Crater Mystery
A mysterious crater discovered in East Antarctica last month likely formed beneath a leaky meltwater lake, rather than because of a meteorite impact, researchers now think.
The ring of sunken ice, nearly 2 miles (3 kilometers) wide, was spotted a few days before Christmas on the Roi Baudoin Ice Shelf in East Antarctica, north of Belgium's Princess Elisabeth research station. At first, German researchers suspected a meteorite blasted out the crater, because a space rock exploded over East Antarctica in 2004.
However, after the find was announced in early January, scientists gathered on social media and immediately shot down the meteorite hunch. "It was like a virtual coffee table conversation," Olaf Eisen, a glaciologist at the Alfred Wegener Institute in Germany, said of the online discussion. "Real coffee table conversations are difficult for glaciologists, because there aren't that many of us and we're spread all over the world. Even though only one tantalizing photo of the crater was published, Antarctica experts rapidly hunted down the circular structure on satellite images. The puzzler drew luminaries such as Doug MacAyeal, president of the International Glaciological Society, and Ted Scambos, a leading expert on Antarctic ice shelves. Within days, scientists on Facebook and Twitter had settled on an alternative origin. (The Alfred Wegener Institute recently provided clearer pictures of the icy ring.)
Glaciologists who pored over the newly discovered feature think the crater resembles an ice doline — a sinkhole-type pit that appears when meltwater lakes suddenly drain from their bottoms. The collapsed circles of ice commonly appear in West Antarctica and Greenland, where prodigious surface melting results in scores of lakes, but ice dolines aren't widely known even among glaciologists.
"Doline is a pretty obscure term," said Allen Pope, a glaciologist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, and the University of Washington's Polar Science Center.
Historical satellite images uncovered by Pope and others suggest the ice doline crater has been traveling with the ice shelf since the 1990s. (An ice shelf is a thick, floating slab of ice anchored to glaciers or ice sheets on land.) And it's not alone — several small craters pit the surrounding ice, which suggests widespread surface melting.
The hypothesis is appealing to the scientists who found the structure, even though none had heard of ice dolines before, said Graeme Eagles, one of the German geophysicists who was at Princess Elisabeth research station during the discovery. "One of the things I learned as a geology student was that the vast majority of circular structures in rocks are attributable to processes other than meteorite impacts," he said in his research blog.
