In the heart of Europe: Nearly half of Slovenians believe in UFOs!

From the stunning Julian Alps and picturesque Lake Bled to the bustling streets of its capital, Ljubljana, the country combines natural beauty with historic charm. As a progressive society with a high standard of living, Slovenia is also recognized for its innovative spirit and forward-thinking population. It is within this intellectually vibrant setting that a captivating public opinion has emerged – a considerable portion of the Slovenian population believes in the existence of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP)
Almost half of Slovenians believe in the existence of UFOs
Nearly half of the Slovenian population believes in the existence of UFOs. This fact emerged as NASA recently spoke openly for the first time about the UFO phenomenon, as they referred to it. Interestingly, they received about 800 reports of UFO sightings last year, with only about 40 considered to be suspicious.
The belief in UFOs is not limited to the United States, where a significant number of people already believe in their existence. A recent online survey revealed that almost half of Slovenians also share this belief. This fascination reflects the famous saying from the legendary series, ‘The X-Files’ – “The truth is out there.“
The X-Files, one of the most successful series dealing with unidentified flying objects and the existence of extraterrestrial beings, foregrounded conspiracy theories and the belief that the government is hiding the existence of UFOs. Despite concluding in 2018, the show’s impact is still evident in the sustained interest in UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
According to a January report from the Pentagon, UFO sightings have been on the rise since 2021. The US Department of Defense established a division last year for the analysis and collection of data on UFO encounters. Furthermore, NASA initiated a comprehensive study last year on unidentified flying objects and other phenomena that cannot be easily explained. The first findings of this study were reported last week.
According to a 2021 Pew Research Center study, around 65% of Americans believe in the existence of intelligent beings on other planets, and 51% consider unidentified flying objects reported by military personnel as proof of intelligent extraterrestrial life.
The social survey on opinions and perceptions of the phenomenon of UFOs in Slovenia was conducted by Talk Online Panel, and it was conducted online between May 15 and 21 of this year. 1,000 respondents aged between 18 and 65 took part in it.
Regarding Slovenian perceptions of this phenomenon, a survey commissioned by National Geographic showed that 48% of Slovenians believe in the existence of UFOs, while 37% do not. According to the survey, this belief is more common among men, with 55% affirming their belief in UFOs, compared to 41% of women. Older respondents were more inclined to believe in the existence of UFOs than younger ones.
Interestingly, 5% of the surveyed Slovenians claim to have seen a UFO or have had contact with extraterrestrial beings. This percentage increases slightly (8%) among people aged 40 to 49.
Regarding evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations, 54% of respondents believe such evidence exists, 33% disagree, and 13% are undecided.
One question in the survey asked whether contact with a UFO could pose a danger or benefit to humanity. A third (32%) believe that contact with UFOs could offer benefits but also pose dangers. 16% believe the contact would be more beneficial than dangerous, and 12% believe the opposite. Interestingly, men and older participants more often believe that humanity would benefit. Among younger respondents (18 to 29 years), more people believe that such contact would pose more danger (19%) than benefits (12%).
The survey also asked about the government’s policy on UFOs. A whopping 65% believe that the government should collect and disclose information about UFOs. 13% believe the government should collect but not disclose UFO information, a stance more supported by younger people (18 to 39 years). Only 5% believe that the government should not collect data on UFOs.
The Slovenian perspective on UFOs mirrors a global fascination with this phenomenon and the potential existence of extraterrestrial life. As further investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena unfold, the “truth” that “is out there” may soon be within our grasp.
The search for alien life on Saturn’s moon has recently got a boost. Scientists have found out that Enceladus, one of Saturn’s 83 moons, has building blocks of life present under its surface. Similarly, unlocking the mysteries of Titan’s landscape could open doors in the quest to find extraterrestrial beings. Are Saturn and its moon a hideout for an alien civilization? In 2009, Bob Dean, a retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major released photos of a huge anomaly (or an alien spacecraft) taken during Voyager’s mission to Saturn in 1980 that showed a giant “luminous source” positioned next to the planet Saturn.
Robert O. Dean, a.k.a. Bob Dean worked at NATO headquarter from 1963 to 1967. He joined the US Army on April 5, 1960, and also served in combat service in Korea and later in Vietnam. He got retired from the army on October 31, 1976, as a Command Sergeant Major. “There are intelligent races out there that are a billion years ahead of us. We find stars out there that probably have planets, those planets can be up to three times as old as our star,” – Bob Dean said at Barcelona Exopolitics Summit.
On 25 July 2009, he released a set of photographs that he claimed had been in NASA archives for a long time but the agency did not want the world to see them. Mocking NASA acronym calling it “Never A Straight Answer,” Mr. Dean in anguish said that the agency erased 40 rolls of film of the Apollo Program: the flight to the Moon, the flight around the Moon, the landings on the Moon, and others.
Further in the lecture, he presented a photo from the Voyager program to Saturn in 1980 which is really shocking. Mr. Dean received the photos from his good friend, Dr. Norman Bergrun, a scientist and engineer for NASA’s Ames Research Centre and Lockheed Martin. Dr. Bergrun played a key role in the Voyager missions, the probes that were sent out and tasked with photographing Saturn, its rings, and moons.
There is a photo shown below from that mission that Dr. Bergrun was able to obtain from the agency of a large unidentified flying object hovering just outside Saturn’s rings. It is huge, approximately the size of Earth, and is published in his book, “Ringmakers of Saturn.

Mr. Dean said that Dr. Bergrun got frustrated that NASA decided not to tell the public what they had photographed at Saturn, and he wrote the book. Bergrun even had to leave the country in order to publish it.
In that book, Dr. Bergrun analyzed photographs of Saturn’s rings taken by the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1980 and 1981. He detailed his theory that the rings were formed by giant Electro-Magnetic Vehicles (EVMs), which are possibly being controlled by intelligent beings. He stated that the 7000-mile-long elliptical ships are currently orbiting Saturn within the rings and emitting visible exhaust. Later, analysis by Bergrun and others suggested the same or similar ships are in orbit around the Sun, Jupiter and Uranus.
Dr. Bergrun said: “What I found out is, these things inhabit Saturn, that’s where I first discovered them, and they’re proliferating. You can find them around Uranus and Jupiter. Wherever you see some rings, that’s where I see the aircraft, I call them a ring maker. I say that it is electromagnetic because I can identify streamline patterns with respect to it that I knew were what we called ‘potential lines’ and that says it was electrical.”

According to Mr. Dean, the object in the photo (as shown above) is larger than Earth’s moon, moving all around apparently under intelligent control in the rings of Saturn. He further said: “If you can imagine the kind of a technology that is capable of constructing something larger than our moon, that’s artificial, that moves around wherever it wishes to go that has probably got several thousand guys inside. That is shocking to some people.”
There is another photograph of the object (circular in shape), again larger than our moon, moving throughout the rings of Saturn and among its moons. “You know, there has to be intelligence aboard,” Mr. Dean said. The object is claimed to be 2000 miles long with 400 miles in diameter.

“I think the rings are probably rich in nutrients, in minerals probably, and an incredibly advanced civilization I think would work out some system of mining those rings for all the minerals up there and utilizing them because space is filled with wealth; energies of all kinds. They never have to dig another hole in the ground like we do down here. Space is filled with energy.
This is 2000 miles long and here on this end, there seems to be something like an exhaust or a flare of energy of some kind. It’s probably the result of engines of some type inside this thing; but, whatever it’s doing, it’s there, and it’s a recognition and representation of an advanced intelligence.”
In his 41 years of federal service to the United States, Mr. Dean heard a lot of bizarre things, but the thing that the human race is a hybrid race stunned him. He said: “I’ve learned that we are not merely alone; we have never been alone. We have had an intimate interrelationship with advanced extraterrestrial intelligence from the beginning of our history. And let me tell you that that intimate interrelationship is still going on.”

The image seen below was taken by Astronaut Neil Armstrong. While the astronauts were looking out of the window of their little craft, this cigar-shaped object flew by.
The next image, according to Mr. Dean, shows a mysterious disc-shaped object with several hundred feet in diameter. It was snapped while the astronauts were on their way to the surface of the moon. The next two images were taken by Apollo Astronauts when they were overflying the so-called Lansberg crater. According to Mr. Dean, “The astronauts in orbit above the Moon were particularly fascinated by the Lansberg crater. They had been given a special designation to take pictures of Lansberg, because the crater, which they named as the Lansberg, had things going on that were very anomalous. There was construction going on. There were gigantic facilities in the crater up there. So they were specifically delegated and assigned to photograph Lansberg to see if they could figure out what the hell was going on down there. While they were looking at Lansberg, this object happened to express interest in them and flew by. Now this line is an artificial line that was drawn to show you the… it gave the direction that this object was going. This is a good-size object flying past the Apollo Lander.”

Mr. Dean continued showing evidence gathered by astronauts from the Apollo 13 mission. The below image, as Mr. Dean said, was taken by Apollo 13 astronauts while traveling to the moon when a number of things began happening. Some strange objects were appearing outside the windows of the spacecraft, so the Apollo 13 astronauts grabbed their Hasselblad cameras and started taking pictures of what they encountered.

Such claims and evidence shared by Mr. Dean come with a price. He received harsh criticism from the skeptics’ side, but most opinions shared by people are in favor of Dean, and the majority believes that he was legit. He died on October 11, 2018, at the age of 89 in Tucson, Arizona.

US military has been observing ‘metallic orbs’ making extraordinary ‘maneuvers’

At a historic NASA briefing on UFOs — “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP) in government parlance — a key Defense Department official made a striking disclosure. Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, director of a new UAP analysis office, stated that U.S. military personnel are observing “metallic orbs” “all over the world.”
According to Kirkpatrick, spherical objects account for the largest proportion — nearly half — of all UAP reports received by his office. Critically, some of these objects are capable of “very interesting apparent maneuvers.”
To be sure, rigorous scientific analysis may ultimately identify a prosaic explanation for such observations. In the meantime, however, such “metallic orbs” are prima facie evidence of extraordinary technology. After all, how would spheres, lacking wings or apparent forms of propulsion, execute “maneuvers” of any kind?
In his presentation, Kirkpatrick also described the UAP characteristics most frequently received by his office. This range of attributes, in short, amounts to a UAP profile that Kirkpatrick’s staff is “out hunting for.”
Intriguingly, this profile includes small (3 to 13 feet in diameter) “spherical” objects capable of flight at a range of velocities, from “stationary” to twice the speed of sound, despite a perplexing absence of “thermal exhaust” such as heat from an engine. Of particular note, as Kirkpatrick made clear, some of these highly anomalous characteristics are observed via multiple sensors.
Although the aircrew rarely observed the objects visually, a harrowing near-midair collision marked the first time a naval aviator in Graves’s squadron had observed one of the objects at close range. According to the pilot, the object appeared as a dark-colored cube inside of a clear sphere. As if to confirm, Kirkpatrick noted at the NASA event that “translucent” spheres are among the most commonly reported UAP characteristics.
Similarly, a hazard report from the previous day describes two objects — both confirmed via radar and infrared sensors — hovering in place. However, in this incident, two other UAP fly past the stationary objects “at a high speed.” Graves’s exasperated squadron commander punctuates the report by stating that “it is only a matter of time before this results in a midair” collision.
Less than a month earlier, a hazard report filed in the same area by a different squadron describes an aircrew encountering “a small metallic object” “approximately the size of a suitcase,” matching, once again, the commonly-reported characteristics described by Kirkpatrick.
The squadron commander, similarly incensed by the dire flight safety risk posed by the frequent UAP encounters, wrote that “it may only be a matter of time before one of our F/A-18 aircraft has a mid-air collision.”
While he had less flexibility to investigate after he deployed, Graves recalls observing similar anomalous radar contacts as his squadron moved to the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf. This is consistent with Kirkpatrick’s statement that such UAP are observed “all over the world.”
A few years later, a test pilot flying in a nearby evaluation range told Graves of an encounter with one of the commonly reported objects. According to Graves, a spherical UAP was “just riding along with him,” about 30 feet from the aircraft, before it “zipped off.” A declassified report matching the general details of the incident describes a test pilot’s encounter with a “sphere.”
More recently, one of Graves’s former student pilots, along with a senior officer, observed one of the spheres. As Graves’s former student told him, “[The object] looked exactly like what you said, [a] cube in a sphere. They’re still here.”
Importantly, the spheres are associated with one of the best-known UAP encounters.
The 2015 “Gimbal” video is arguably the most recognizable publicly available UAP footage. Recorded at the end of a complex pre-deployment training mission, Graves recalls that the “Gimbal” UAP flew in a loose formation with a “fleet” of four to six objects which, based on their perplexing radar signatures, resembled the objects observed daily by aviators off the East Coast.
During the post-mission debrief, a thorough review of the sensor data from the “Gimbal” incident “left a crowd of fascinated intelligence officers and aircrew” perplexed enough to summon the highest ranking officer aboard the aircraft carrier. The admiral, exasperated by the frequent UAP incursions into the carrier’s airspace, and the “Gimbal” incident in particular, reported the incident to the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Moreover, during the recent briefing by NASA’s Independent Study Team, a panel member mathematically analyzed the “GoFast” UAP video. Such open, transparent academic engagement with noteworthy UAP incidents is a much-welcome development.
Importantly, by virtue of its connection to the “Gimbal” incident, the “GoFast” video has a plausible link to the anomalous spherical UAP observed frequently by naval aviators.
“GoFast” was recorded hundreds of miles offshore, just 10 minutes prior to the “Gimbal” incident, and by the same aircrew. While the NASA study team member who analyzed the video employed basic trigonometry to conclude that the cold, sphere-like “GoFast” object was traveling relatively slowly (about 40 miles per hour), citizen scientists — UFO skeptics and “agnostics” alike — have created three-dimensional models that recreate the effect of the strong winds that evening.
When accounting for wind, which can alter such geometrical reconstructions significantly, current analyses show that the “GoFast” object must travel far faster, at approximately 115 (versus 40) miles per hour. Moreover, the orb-like “GoFast” UAP would potentially move even more rapidly if a key figure pertaining to range is incorrect, as current and former aviators deem likely.
Hopefully, by drawing on NASA’s deep scientific expertise, the mystery of the “metallic orbs” observed globally can be resolved satisfactorily.

First, let’s delve into the data. Based on an extensive survey by BonusFinder.com, there have been 126,094 UFO sightings reported in the U.S since record-keeping began. Canada comes a distant second, with 5,696 reported sightings, while the United Kingdom ranks third with 3,146 sightings. But what makes these “Unidentified Flying Objects” so fascinating? They defy our understanding of physics, often appearing as strangely-shaped lights performing extraordinary maneuvers in the sky.
It’s intriguing to note the disparity in the duration of these sightings between the U.S. and its northern neighbor, Canada. While UFO incidents are more prevalent in the U.S, they tend to linger longer in Canada, with the average sighting lasting over five hours.
The U.S., however, has its own share of long-lasting UFO encounters. In Pennsylvania, the sixth highest state for UFO sightings, these mysterious objects tend to remain visible for just under 40 minutes per visit, significantly longer than any other state.
Within the U.S, California leads the pack, boasting 15,480 reported UFO sightings, followed by Florida (7,835), Washington (6,889), Texas (5,814), and New York (5,627). This geographical diversity adds another layer of intrigue to the enigma of UFO sightings, making it a truly national phenomenon.
But it’s not just the public reporting these sightings. A recent survey reveals that almost one-fifth of U.S. academics have encountered Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), the official term now widely used instead of UFOs. He said data collection is also “unsystematic and fragmented” across many agencies and that reported UAP sightings are often “uninformative” due to lack of quality control and data curation.
Similar to the Congressional hearings concerning the UFO/UAP phenomenon, last year, NASA's public hearing may not have provided groundbreaking revelations to those seeking confirmation of extraterrestrial life. Their findings will likely center around suggestions on how to develop better methods for collecting data on UAP events as well as the best methods for analyzing that information, but one can only wonder what they have discovered.

About one-fifth of academics who responded to a recent survey reported that they or someone they knew had seen what we now call unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), and more than a third were interested in doing serious academic research on the topic.
“I personally know three physicists who independently report seeing UFOs,” one scientist (whose field was omitted for privacy reasons) told social scientist Marissa Yingling, historian Charlton Yingling, and education researcher Bethany Bell. “They have no explanation for the phenomenon they observed, other than they observed it.”
That scientist is one of about 280 academic researchers who reported that they, or someone they know, have witnessed UAPs — the current, more respectable term for UFOs. They make up a fifth of the researchers who responded to Yingling and her colleagues’ recent survey on the subject. Responders included researchers in 14 academic fields, from art and design to physics, at 144 major U.S. universities. They published their results in the journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communications.
According to Yingling and her colleagues, “Curiosity outweighed skepticism or indifference.”
WE DON’T TALK ABOUT UAP – BUT...
Only 1,460 researchers responded, out of more than 39,000 that Yingling and her colleagues contacted. A 4 percent response rate is extremely small to base a research study on, and it’s on the low end even for things like customer satisfaction surveys. In this case, researchers who were already interested in UAP, or who had an experience of their own, were probably more likely to answer the survey. The skeptics probably weeded themselves out by not responding.
“Not only did one faculty member write to communicate that simply receiving the email was ‘insulting,’ 14 faculty wrote seeking confirmation that the survey was not spam,” write Yingling and her colleagues. “One person sent a courtesy email to share that they feared our names were being used in a scam.”
If anything, the response rate and the worried emails emphasize reticence on the part of U.S. academics about UAP research. But among those who responded, there seems to be growing interest in serious academic research into UAP, which parallels recent interest from NASA, the Pentagon, and Congress.

“CURIOSITY OUTWEIGHED SKEPTICISM”
Thirty-nine percent of the researchers who responded to the survey said they didn’t know how to explain UAP. About 21 percent said there was bound to be a natural explanation, and a slew of individual answers pointed the finger at super-secret military technology, “cultural predilections,” drug-induced hallucinations, and, of course, weather balloons. On the other hand, 13 percent of participants — about 190 researchers — said that UAP are probably “devices of unknown intelligence.”
For comparison, 41 percent of U.S. adults in a 2021 Gallup poll believe at least some UAP are alien craft. About half believe UAP can be entirely explained by human activity or natural phenomena. So academics seem to be more skeptical than the general public about alien explanations for UAP, notwithstanding operations like the Galileo Project.
But at least some academic researchers are also curious. Only 4 percent of the survey participants had actually done UAP research, but another 36 percent showed interest, and 37 percent described UAP research as “very important or absolutely essential.” And 64 percent said that if UAP research is happening, it’s important for academia to be involved.
“Something is definitely out there,” one social scientist told Yingling and her colleagues, “and I just hope the mystery is solved to everyone’s satisfaction during my lifetime.”

Date of sighting: 20 April 2021 over the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California. Over 50 US Marines witnessed and recorded with iPhones and infrared the huge triangle UFO for about 10 minutes before it disappeared.
According to the many eyewitness reports, the size of the UFO was between half the size of a football field and a three bedroom two story house and made no sound.
