The Mysterious Crop Circles of 2023: The Enigmatic Formation at Allan King Way
The Mysterious Crop Circles of 2023: The Enigmatic Formation at Allan King Way
As the season of summer sets in, there is more than just the warm sun captivating our attention in the field of Hampshire. June 26th, 2023, a new enigma unfolded on the verdant canvas of Allan King Way, near Owslebury, Hampshire: a crop circle, a phenomenon that has held the world in an eerie suspense for decades.
Imagine walking alongside the feathered path of Allan King Way, officially signed as Featherbed Lane, that is a quiet public way for horses and hikers. As you amble along, you find yourself at a gap in the hedgerow, just 75 yards away from a puzzle that lies etched into the field, one that came to be known as the Owslebury Crop Circle of 2023. You might find the entrance deterrent, thanks to the aromatic greeting of a large pile of organic fertilizer. But with just a little perseverance, the sight that unfolds is worth the olfactory assault.
Once you get past the initial challenge, the experience that awaits you is truly surreal. One visitor recounted feeling the energy that crafted this crop circle, as it stirred his senses, making them tingle and come alive. Despite being located near a road, the crop circle of Owslebury has managed to keep its mystery veiled, easily overlooked by passersby.
Resembling an outdoor cathedral, Owslebury instills a sense of sacredness. Its design, detailed yet simple, involves green barley stalks bent carefully into shape, not broken, and still growing towards the sun. It seems as if the artist used a gentle hand, or perhaps an energy of a higher order, to create this intricate design. It’s almost like the circle is a pair of wide open eyes, peering into the mysteries of the cosmos.
It’s crucial to remember the importance of maintaining respect for these crops and the farmer’s land. The seemingly discouraging “greetings” by the farmer is perhaps a nudge towards observing proper crop circle etiquette. We encourage you to stick to the tram lines and not trample the crops.
While we continue to speculate about the formation’s source, the presence of the Owslebury Crop Circle adds another fascinating chapter to the ever-growing saga of the Crop Circles of 2023. As to what the artist was looking at or trying to convey, that remains part of the mysterious allure of these enigmatic formations. Indeed, these crop circles offer more than just unique patterns; they pose intriguing questions, inviting us all to ponder the secrets of our universe.
The 2023 Crop Circle Phenomenon: An Ethereal Encounter at Hetty Pegler’s Tump Long Barrow
The 2023 Crop Circle Phenomenon: An Ethereal Encounter at Hetty Pegler’s Tump Long Barrow
It’s June 24th, 2023, in the heart of Gloucestershire, UK, near the tranquil town of Nympsfield. There’s an unexpected spectacle at the renowned neolithic site of Hetty Pegler’s Tump Long Barrow: a crop circle, intriguingly exquisite in design and tantalizingly mysterious. This crop circle of 2023, often referred to as the “Uley Long Barrow crop circle,” raises many questions, not just in Gloucestershire, but globally.
This phenomenon, a few short miles from the serene Stroud, took on an aura of the mystical at this archaeological treasure. And though it didn’t spring up in the same field as the ‘tump,’ the picturesque cornfield across the road houses our crop circle, an unlikely yet equally captivating location.
The long barrow is worth noting, as it contributes to the overall experience of our crop circle visit. Despite being dubbed as ‘long,’ it’s rather lozenge-shaped from an aerial view. Although restored in the 19th century, it retains a distinctive charm that outshines other famed sites like West Kennett or Belas Knapp.
As you explore this spiritual site, its low entrance channel humbles you, forcing you to your knees. The secluded compartments within the cave-like structure, the serene isolation from the external world, all contribute to a deep sense of reverence. It seems as if the vibrant energy of the crop circle complements the sacred aura of this ancestral space.
The crop circle’s discovery, hidden from the road, was presumably reported by a pilot from the gliding club at Nympsfield. Just 2km away, the club offers a splendid aerial view of this mystifying formation. The crop circle itself, designed with two flattened rings encircling a flattened central circle, is not flashy but beautifully simple.
The mature barley crop gives the circle an alluring golden glow. Yet, the stalks, thinner and shorter than usual, imply a struggle against insufficient moisture, hinting at their fast ripening in the summer heatwave. The edges of the circle, despite looking ragged, showcase an outward swirl pattern, adding to the overall intrigue.
As you stand in the outer ring, the untouched green barley stalks contrast starkly against the mature crop. A few isolated mature stalks, unaffected by the circle-making force, stand tall among the flattened ones, posing another mystery. The entire scene at the crop circle, this 2023 Crop Circles phenomenon, is mystifying, riveting, and remarkably unique.
In the heart of the formation, a bouquet of flowers left by an anonymous admirer pays homage, marking the human fascination with the enigmatic and the extraordinary.
“A message from Mars” ― an outer space stone engraved with strange hieroglyphics
“A message from Mars” ― an outer space stone engraved with strange hieroglyphics
In 1908, a meteor about 10 inches in diameter was hurled through space and buried itself in the ground of the Cowichan Valley, in British Columbia. The marble shaped meteor was engraved with unknown hieroglyphics.
In the summer of 1908, a strange event took place in the vicinity of Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada. When Willie McKinnon, the 14-year-old son of Mr. Angus McKinnon was working in his father’s garden around 11:30 o’clock, a meteor about 10 inches in diameter was hurled through space and buried itself in the ground about eight feet from where he was standing.
This isn’t the exact stone allegedly found in Cowichan Valley, but it resembles the object. This clay seal is made by Rama
Fortunately, Willie was not injured by the meteorite impact. He immediately called his father to see what happened and when Mr. McKinnon came to the spot, he was shocked to find that the meteor was almost as round as a marble; and the hot surface was deeply scored with what resembled some kinds of strange hieroglyphics.
This startling story was published as a front-page newspaper article of Sept. 5, 1908, entitled, “A Message From Mars”.
Since this weird incident took place, Mr. McKinnon had spent most of his life trying to decipher the strange markings on the mysterious stone. However, the strange outer space stone appears to have never been examined in a proper way, because any of its research papers has not been found yet.
In the present day, its exact location is unknown, and the ‘miracle stone of Cowichan’ remains an unexplained mystery that is untouched to this day.
This fascinating story was recently published in the Cowichan Valley Citizen in January 2015, by TW Patterson who has been writing about British Columbia’s history for more than 50 years.
So, what could it be? Was the meteorite really inscribed with hieroglyphics, or is it all nothing but Mr. MacKinnon’s fabricated story? What do you think?
The Strange Stone In 1908, a Canadian newspaper article detailed an amazing story of a meteorite that might have contained evidence of alien life. The article stated - “Willie McKinnon, the 14-year-old son of Mr. Angus McKinnon underwent a most startling experience and had witnessed a miraculous event last Thursday.'' The article goes on to state that whilst working in his father’s garden, Willie saw a meteor fall from the sky and embed into the ground just eight feet away from where he was standing.
Crop Circles & Ancient Wisdom: Unraveling the Mysteries of our Past
Crop Circles & Ancient Wisdom: Unraveling the Mysteries of our Past
Crop circles, the mysterious patterns that appear overnight in farmland, have been a subject of controversy and fascination for decades. Some attribute them to natural phenomena, others to human pranksters, and yet others believe them to be signs from extraterrestrial beings. Among the various theories, one has stood out prominently – a connection to the Mayan civilization and their prophecy about significant planetary changes.
The Mayan civilization, which thrived from approximately 2000 BC to 1500 AD, is renowned for its intricate knowledge of astronomy and calendrical systems. One of their most famous prophecies relates to a cycle of time that ends on December 21, 2012, which some have interpreted as a prediction of an impending global transformation or even an apocalypse.
Mayan Prophecies and Crop Circles (FULL DOCUMENTARY) – ETs, Ancient Aliens, History
Curiously, various crop circles have exhibited intricate Mayan symbolism and calendrical information. For example, in 2004, a crop circle appeared in Silbury Hill, England, which remarkably resembled the Mayan symbol for “zero”. The ‘zero’ was surrounded by 13 smaller circles, symbolizing the Mayan concept of time divided into 13 periods or ‘baktuns’. Intriguingly, the end of the 13th baktun corresponded with the date of the Mayan prophecy, December 21, 2012.
In subsequent years, more crop circles with unmistakable Mayan imagery have surfaced. Among these, the Mayan “Hunab Ku” symbol, a representation of the creator god and the galactic core, has been frequently depicted. The recurring pattern of these Mayan symbols in crop circles has been interpreted by some as a cosmic signal, a message urging humanity to heed the wisdom of our ancient ancestors and prepare for a transformative event.
Crop circles have also been associated with the phenomenon of squaring the circle, an ancient geometric problem that symbolizes the marriage of heaven and earth, or the unification of physical reality with the divine. The consistent appearance of this symbolism in crop circles might be seen as a call to balance our materialistic tendencies with spiritual growth and consciousness expansion.
Scientific predictions about increased solar activity and significant climate changes coincide with the timeline of the Mayan prophecy. This synchronicity between ancient wisdom, crop circles, and modern scientific observations might suggest that the Mayan prophecy is not a doomsday prediction, but a forewarning of significant global changes that require our attention and consciousness shift.
Indeed, the mysterious phenomenon of crop circles may serve as a reminder that the wisdom of ancient civilizations such as the Mayas holds profound relevance in our current era. It’s a call for us to respect and learn from their advanced understanding of the cosmos and time. Whether human-made or extraterrestrial, these intricate designs seem to amplify a timeless message – a message of transition, transformation, and awakening.
Whether or not we find definitive explanations for the crop circles, they undeniably serve as fascinating symbols that stir our collective imagination and invite us to explore the mysteries of our existence.
NASA's Perseverance Mars rover sent back a photo of a large dark stone with a hole in its center that looks like a donut but representatives of the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Mountain View, California, say it is more likely part of a large meteorite which created similar other rocks of the same color scattered about nearby. Has anyone checked to see if The Simpsons (particularly Homer) predicted this?

The Stafford Township Police Department in New Jersey is asking for the public’s help in apprehending Thomas L. Bintz of Chandlersville, OH, for committing fourth-degree Criminal Mischief and third-degree Theft in stealing the iconic Jersey Devil statue from in front of Lucilles Luncheonette - Country Cooking in Warren Grove – the Jersey Devil is New Jersey’s most famous cryptid and the man who carved the wooden statue has promised to make a replacement if the original isn’t found. Bigfoot and Mothman should let the other cryptids know to BOLO.
A woman in Alton, Pennsylvania, reports walking her dog at 1 am and seeing a tall, dark creature with a white human face, glowing eyes and long black wings which it used to fly off – while some people suspect it was a Piasa Bird (a flying creature from Native American mythology), most think it was the Mothman and are predicting bad things will be happening soon just as they did in Point Pleasant in 1967. Richard Gere … call your agent.
WYDOT District 5 (Wyoming Department of Transportation ) in northwest Wyoming posted a U.S. Forest Service warning sign on its Facebook page cautioning residents to be on the lookout for Bigfoot and if confronted, follow some simple steps like don’t run from Bigfoot, don’t chase it, don’t yell at it and don’t feed it … but definitely take pictures of Bigfoot and send them in. It would be fitting if Bigfoot has its own warnings to not engage with humans unless they offer food.
The International UFO Lab in Fukushima City, Japan, released six photographs and videos that the group believes are highly likely to depict real UFOs – the photos and videos of round and triangular flying objects were taken from a total of 494 reports it received from people both in Japan and abroad over the past year and were the only ones which could not be explained as drones, birds, airplanes, bugs or other conventional objects. Isn’t it time the U.S., Japan and other countries collecting UFO evidence compared notes?
An article published in arXiv.org by European and American planetary scientists claims they have found evidence of large planets in the Oort Cloud on the far outer edge of the solar system, which could have been captured from other solar systems or even from our own after being thrown out during the early days of the formation of the other planets – but they don’t believe any of these are the hypothetical “Planet X” because they are too far away to affect the orbits of Uranus or Neptune. It’s a sad day in astronomy when the public doesn’t care unless the discovery is Planet X.
The mystery of the recent Las Vegas UFO and its 10-foot aliens has not been solved, and now a second UFO anomaly has occurred over the city – a video shows two lights over Vegas hovering next to each other on June 22 at 10.30 pm for “20 minutes straight” according to the witness. Maybe it’s time for a new slogan: What lands in Vegas … stays in Vegas.
Visitors to Murphysboro, Illinois, can now see a life-size statue of the Big Muddy Monster, an 8-foot, 8-inch whit-furred Bigfoot-like cryptid which first emerged coved in mud from the Big Muddy River 50 years ago and became the town’s most famous cryptid and potential tourist attraction as it appeared numerous times and was investigated by the local police. Petre Seeger sang about being “waist deep in the Big Muddy” but nobody wants to be waist-deep in the Big Muddy Monster.
Scientific teams in Australia, the US, Europe, China, and India simultaneously released papers announcing they have independently found a signal in the timing of flashing stars called pulsars that points to giant, long-wavelength gravitational waves which are the low-pitch background hum of the universe - this is not a detection of gravitational waves yet but the closest evidence so far. Is it just a hum or is it the music of alien gravitational wave surfers?
Paleoanthropologist Briana Pobiner of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History led a team performing a detailed, 3D analysis of cuts on a leg bone belonging to a mysterious human relative who lived in what is now Kenya 1.45 million years ago and found they made by stone tools and suggest the maker was cutting flesh from the bone so they could eat it – which would make this the earliest known evidence of hominins eating other hominins in what we now call cannibalism. There was no evidence to indicate what fermented grape drink they ate with it.
A new fictional movie about a billionaire’s search for the Loch Ness monster ran into technical difficulties while filming and the director ended up going 50 miles away and using Loch Awe and Portsonachan instead of Loch Ness and Inverness-shire. Will Nessie be played by Loch Awe logs?
British UFO hunter John Mooner released photos of a UFO flying over the Devon countryside and he claims the pictures show an “alien flying saucer” with “two black rectangular windows on the dome portion of the craft and four black openings along the bottom part of its structure" and he also saw “some type of force field emanating around it” – evidence which convinced abductee Mooner that “the alien presence is real” and “we are not alone.” Will Senator Rubio (see above) accept the photos even though Mr. Mooney is not a registered Florida voter?
A study by Doris Arzoumanian at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan proposes that isotope ratios found in meteorites indicate a nearby supernova exploded while our solar system was forming but it was prevented from being destroyed in the blast by a filament of molecular gas which formed a birth cocoon around the early solar system. We saw Birth Cocoon open for Iron Butterfly.
A new study of a prayer book found at Wormsley Library near High Wycombe found etchings in the margins that were drawn by King Henry VIII in the final years of his life and suggest the king was worried about killing off his wives and wondered if he would be forgiven when he died. The doodles also indicate he should have spent more time in art class and less in beheading class.
Dutch archaeologists have discovered a 4,000-year-old sanctuary made of ditches and burial mounds in the central Netherlands which they believe served the same ritual purpose as Stonehenge in southern England because the wooden and soil structure, which was big as at least three soccer fields, was aligned with the sun on the solstices and contained animal skeletons, human skulls and valuable items at key viewing locations. Get ready for stores in Amsterdam to start selling chocolate henges.
It seems like every lake has a monster and visitors at Lake Payette in McCall, Idaho, posted videos of what they claim is Sharlie the Lake Monster, which was first seen in 1920 by a railroad logging crew which thought it was a giant log until it moved; in 1944, a group of people near the Narrows saw a creature they claimed was 35 feet long, with a dinosaur-type head and humps like a camel … the latest video shows a wake and something trying to rise out of the water. The creature is also called Slimy Slim, which sounds more like a jerky snack sold at the Lake Payette convenience store.
The lost ancient Maya city of Ocomtúnhas has been found deep in the Balamkú ecological reserve in Campeche, Mexico, where "pyramidal structures" up to 49 feet (15 meters) high were spotted by researchers using airborne laser scanning (LiDAR) and then located by researchers cutting their way through the jungle - Ocomtún means "stone column" in the Yucatec Maya language and the city was named for the columns found there which may have been part of entrances to upper floors of the Maya buildings surrounding the plazas. How does one lose a pyramid? (Asking for a friend who never has his keys or remote control.)

The Eslabón Perdido (Missing Link) research group has discovered the 260-foot-long wreck of a German U-Boat off the coast of Argentina which it claims could be evidence that Adolf Hitler escaped Berlin near the end of World War II and traveled to Latin America - the Simon Wiesenthal Centre is now calling on the Argentine government to release more information on the finding and end its “suspicious” silence which has many believing it is hiding what could be evidence that would rewrite history and also show it helped the Nazis after the war. To paraphrase Edwin Starr: War … what is it good for? Printing new history books … say it again.
Didier Archimbaud, a farmer in Saint-Babel, France, recently found a huge 3,000 square meter crop circle drawn in his wheat field which attracted curious visitors and cause a crop circle specialist to liken it to a UFO and, but to the farmer it was “the work of a little joker who had fun.” That may be one of the few times farmers in England agree with a Frenchman.
Police in Istanbul were called in when a private security guard working at the petrol station watched a crow down directly in front of him and drop a severed human index finger and a severed thumb on the ground – the incident has prompted an investigation into what may be a homicide. This should make it easier to remember that a group of crows is called a “murder.”
Another stereotype bites the dust as a new study of hunter-gatherer societies around the world found that 79% contained women who were hunters, they continued to hunt even after they became mothers, they had a variety of efficient hunting tools, more than 70% of female hunting expeditions were classified as "intentional" rather than opportunistic killings which occurred while gathering plants, and everyone in their community accepted them as hunters. Maybe it’s time to reconsider women’s football and male cheerleaders.
Archaeologists in Pompeii have discovered a still-life fresco of a Mediterranean meal from the time just before the 79 CE eruption of Mount Vesuvius that looks like it has a pizza on a tray – except pizza wasn’t invented until the 1800s so researchers think this was a flat focaccia which may have been covered with dried fruits like pomegranates and dates, spices and a pesto. Pizza with pomegranates? All of a sudden, pizza with pineapple doesn’t sound so bad.
For those who believe octopuses are aliens or at least highly intelligent beings, researchers from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) watched octopuses (Octopus laqueus) sleep and noticed they had short bursts of sudden frenzied activity where their arms and eyes twitched, their breathing rate quickened, and their skin changed colors – changes that normally occur when they are awake and suggest the octopuses were going through rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and were probably dreaming just like humans do. Well, not quite like humans do – they’re probably not dreaming of sushi bars.

Megalodon once dominated Earth's oceans. Despite vanishing from the fossil record millions of years ago, rumors persist that these gigantic sharks are still alive.
Megalodon (Carcharodon carcharias) was the largest shark to ever live, growing to around 60 feet (18 meters) in length. (Image credit: Damiano Pierotti/Shutterstock)
From 20 million to 3.6 million years ago, Earth's oceans were dominated by an enormous species of shark called the megalodon. The scientific name, Otodus megalodon, means "giant tooth" — and it's easy to see why. With teeth up to three times the size of those of a great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), the megalodon also reached lengths of 60 feet (18 meters) — making it the ultimate apex predator until it became extinct.
Yet rumors persist that these supersized sharks are still alive, with TikTok and YouTube videos speculating on how they might have survived gaining millions of views. Is it really possible for the megalodon to be alive today, lurking somewhere in the ocean?
Jack Cooper, a doctoral student at Swansea University in the U.K., is a member of the Pimiento Research Group, which studies marine diversity through time. He has spent years studying the megalodon — and says they are most definitely extinct.
"Any suggestion that megalodon potentially still exists in unexplored ocean regions is complete nonsense based on not a shred of credible evidence," he told Live Science in an email.
Although the majority of the ocean hasn't been explored, Cooper said there are several reasons why the megalodon isn't still lurking in our oceans. Firstly, the food chain would look very different if the species was still alive.
"Megalodon was not only a very big coastal shark that would definitely have been seen by now, it was also an apex predator higher on the food web than any living marine predator. As such, it would've been a huge influence on ocean ecosystems," he explained.
Megalodon (left tooth) may have been driven to extinction, in part, by the arrival of great white sharks (right tooth). (Image credit: Mark Kostich/Getty Images)
"Its disappearance had cascading consequences. Whales, one of their key prey items, got even bigger after megalodon went extinct with nothing around to eat them," he added. "Some of the biggest marine mammals today like the blue whale only evolved after megalodon went extinct. So, in short, the modern day food web has partially been shaped by megalodon not being there."
Megalodon in the Mariana Trench?
Scientists are still learning about some of the most mysterious and unmapped regions of our oceans, particularly the deepest areas like the Mariana Trench, which stretches down 35,876 feet (10,935 m) below the ocean surface. Although it's exciting to imagine giant sharks living secretly in the depths, Cooper said they wouldn't be able to survive in such an inhospitable environment.
"The deep sea would be totally unsuitable habitats for such a big apex predator," he said. "We find deep sea sharks all the time and none come anywhere close in size to a 20-meter [65 feet] giant. As megalodon was likely consuming fairly large prey, those smaller animals wouldn't be great sources anyway. The Mariana Trench has mostly microscopic life that wouldn't even feed one megalodon, let alone a secret population."
Kenshu Shimada, a paleobiologist at DePaul University in Chicago who has studied megalodon, said that claims these massive sharks still live somewhere today have never been substantiated.
To understand why the megalodon would not be able to survive in today's oceans, it can help to understand how it went extinct. Although the exact cause is unknown, Shimada said there are several dominant theories.
"A couple of major hypotheses include extinction due to climate change or competition with the great white shark that emerged a few million years ago. It is also possible that the extinction could have been caused by a combination of multiple factors."
Cooper agrees that climate change may be a key reason why the megalodon went extinct. He said the megalodon's extinction has largely been attributed to a reduction in sea level from the Pliocene epoch (5.3 to 2.6 million years ago).
"That reduction would have dramatically affected the coastal habitats of both the megalodon and their prey," he said. "It meant less area for them to live in and less food availability to replenish the huge amount of energy they needed to justify their enormous sizes and active predatory lifestyles. Today's sea levels generally remain much lower than the Pliocene, so such conditions are far from ideal for them."
Finally, if megalodon were alive today, we would likely know about it as they would be under threat from poaching — much like the great white shark. "We would have seen crystal clear evidence of megalodon," Cooper said. "As humans kill as many as 100 million sharks every year, with larger sharks being at particular risk to this, they would probably not be able to survive us rather than the other way around."

Michigan, early in June this month – they said the white/metallic disc that they engaged with was difficult to see because of sunlight reflecting off the object but it was “extremely fast” and “capable of overtaking and outmaneuvering the fighter jets with extreme ease” as the jets fired at the spinning object three times before flying away and leaving the UAP, which eventually appeared to fly off over Lake Huron. That ringing in your ears is the rising sound of UAP whistleblowers.
A new study by the University of Nottingham and published in The Astrophysical Journal calculates that there could be over 30 active communicating intelligent civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy based on the Astrobiological Copernican Limit which assumes that it takes 5 billion years for intelligent life to form on planets like Earth orbiting around a metal-rich star like our Sun, but we haven’t heard from any because they are too far away. While we all want to believe, sometimes these studies resemble scientists throwing stuff against a cosmic wall and publishing what sticks.
Using data collected by NASA’s Cassini mission from 2004 to 2017, when it flew through a plume of gas emitted near the moon’s south pole, an international team of scientists discovered a rich array of minerals and organic compounds including phosphorus and other ingredients for the amino acids associated with life as we know it. What we really need to worry about is life as we DON’T know it.
In Carnac, France, 39 standing stones or menhirs that historians believe were erected by prehistoric humans 7,000 years ago were destroyed after the town’s mayor approved a building permit for a DIY store – the mayor claimed the stones, which stood 20 to 40 inches, had "low archaeological value" even though they were thought to have had a sacred and funereal function and were a popular pre-historic tourist attraction. Sounds like this mayor may soon have a low re-election value.
The mystery of the UFO that was picked up by police video cameras and appeared to land in a backyard in Las Vegas in May and the 10-foot aliens reportedly seen by a family after it occurred got more mysterious after an investigator who found the family’s testimony credible reported that the Homeland Security department of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) installed video surveillance cameras outside the home after the incident – the family swears the tall, gray, greenish beings were real and is now in hiding because of all the publicity. This story is not going away anytime soon so get ready for showgirls dressed as aliens and extraterrestrial pancakes at the buffets.
Alison Gunn Robson brought a battered ventriloquist dummy made in 1898 to hosts of the BBC One show The Repair Shop in hopes that they could repair the damage and get the inner mechanics working again and she loved the job they did … but viewers of the show were upset because the dummy creeped out some of them while others were surprised it didn’t attack the repair guys while they were asleep. Look for it to appear on a new competition show just for dummies called “A Mannequin’s Got Talent.”
After a drone flying over a field in Bolivia captured an image of farmers claimed was a Chupacabra which has been killing their llamas, cows and other livestock, residents of the southern Guatemalan town of Chimaltenango reported their own Chupacabra encounters when they found around 75 dead chickens, ducks and turkeys in a 25-mile radius – the birds appeared to have been attacked from behind and had their blood drained from their bodies. If only someone could convince Chupacabras of the benefits of a vegan diet.
Avi Loeb, the Harvard professor of astronomy who can’t stop talking about UFOs and aliens, says he believes extraterrestrials will send AI drones to Earth rather than spaceships with alien crews, and those AI drones will be attracted to their own kind and make their first contact with our own artificial intelligence machines – which he says is “a bit scary to think about.” Maybe not … one conversation with ChatGPT and alien AI could decide this planet is hopeless and leave us alone.
In a recent email, Elon Musk, who hasn’t been able to successfully launch the rocket that he’s building to go to Mars, mention in a Twitter conversation that he’s already looking at visiting the exoplanet Promixa Centauri B, which is a little over four light-years away orbiting Alpha Centauri, saying it is “Practically next door." Don’t accept a job from this man selling windows door-to-door.
Researchers at a site in the Polish town of Mamerski where the German Army Supreme Command was headquartered during World War II took advantage of a deforestation project and explored a new area where they found wagon wheels and a set of railway tracks, leading them to believe this could be the infamous Nazi gold train long rumored to be carrying treasures and the gold and amber paneling stolen from the Amber Room of a Russian palace and hidden at the end of WWII. Let’s hope they find enough treasure to pay for all of the lawyers they’ll need to figure out who it belongs to.
At a funeral in Ecuador, mourners thought they heard knocking, so they opened the casket and found that 76-year-old Bella Montoy was still alive, even though a hospital doctor had declared her dead following a suspected stroke – Bella was rushed to a hospital where, as of this writing, she is still alive and recovering from the ordeal in intensive care. Nothing shocks your heart back to life like finding out the ambulance is taking you back to the same doctor who declared you dead.
Prabal Saxena, a planetary scientist at NASA's Goddard Spaceflight Center, says there is a good chance the Artemis III astronauts who land on the moon in 2025 will find microbial life in a crater at the lunar south pole and those microbes will look familiar because they probably came from Earth on a lunar lander and are able to survive in the extreme conditions by consuming lunar ice. If they are tardigrades, the astronauts better home they haven’t mutated into giant sand water bears.
David Grusch, the combat veteran and former intelligence officer who turned Pentagon whistleblower and claims the US has run a top secret UFO retrieval program for decades, now says some of the 'non-human intelligences' who have come to Earth are discovered are nasty being who have killed humans – the evidence comes from classified nuclear site probing activities and witness testimonies, and the U.S. government will do anything to protect these secrets - including killing whistleblowers like himself. What happened to all the nice aliens like Mork from Ork?
Roadworkers digging in the village of Luzino in northeast Poland were shocked when they uncovered a massive grave site with the skeletal remains of 450 people who had been decapitated with their skulls placed between their legs, bricks placed on their bodies, buried in unusual positions, or with coins in their mouths – all signs that they were suspected of being vampires. Wouldn’t it have been easier just to surround the cemetery with a garlic farm?
They may be called crop “circles” but one which appeared recently in a field in Roundway Down in Wiltshire, England, is getting special attention because it is an intricate labyrinth of geometric shapes and designs combining the usual circles with elaborate geometric shapes that could signify complex mathematical formulas or astronomical principles. Is this a sign that math majors at Oxford can’t get jobs and are resorting to making crop circles?
What some are calling the world's first manned flying saucer made its first crewed flight over a lake in Shenzhen, China, with one person on board – the electric aircraft is powered by six fans with twelve blades, has “triple safety redundancy” in its power supplies, motors and flight control, and is said to be able to takeoff and touch down on both land and water. Its fans are loud enough to drown out the laughter of extraterrestrials watching it.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued a water scarcity alert for parts of Scotland, including Inverness and the Locvh Ness area, following a prolonged period of dry weather which has emptied Loch Ness to its lowest levels since 1990 – with the drought conditions showing no signs of abating, many people are flocking to Inverness hoping that the loch will dry up and expose the Loch Ness monster. The water level at the loch is currently classified as "low" … so are the spirits of Nessie.
The Qualia Research Institute (QRI), a California-based nonprofit group that researches consciousness, held a competition focused on “Psychedelic Cryptography” and awarded cash prizes to artists who made videos encoded with hidden messages that are designed to be visible only to people tripping on psychedelic substances, such as LSD, ayahuasca, or psilocybin mushrooms. They’re probably swamped with applications to be a judge in the next competition.
German researchers Sophie Jentzsch and Kristian Kersting published a new paper examining the ability of OpenAI's ChatGPT-3.5 to understand and generate humor – they discovered that ChatGPT 's knowledge of comedy is so bad that it kept generating the same 25 jokes over and over, and most of the jokes were worse than those found in joke books. Put this ChatGPT-3.5 in a comedian robot and it would probably ask you to pull its mechanical finger.
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is an unexplainable scourge for many people, but a gastroenterologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles thinks the cause may be that the bodies of sufferers are unable to manage gravity, causing their diaphragm to move down and compress their intestines, causing elimination issues and bacterial overgrowth. If gravity is the problem, is space travel the cure?
According to a new study which looked at the availability of caves to hide in, water supplies, military bases, food supplies and hospitals, the five best states for surviving an alien invasion are Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, Idaho and Nebraska, while the five worst states are Virginia, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York and Louisiana. The five worst states could change their ranking by building giant arrows, visible from space, pointing to Nevada and Arizona.
A team of researchers at Switzerland’s Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) unveiled an origami-inspired robot called the Mori3 which can fold and unfold itself like a piece of flat-pack Ikea furniture and change its shape into a huge number of three-dimensional forms, making it a possible tool for astronauts in a cramped spacecraft. Astronaut training will now include origami and Rubik’s cube solving.
Following in the footsteps of Google, Meta has released its own open-source AI-powered music generator called MusicGen, which can turn a text description like “An ’80s driving pop song with heavy drums and synth pads in the background” into about 12 seconds of music – the testers say the songs are reasonably melodic. These days, “reasonably melodic” means it’s Grammy-worthy.
Four new Nasca geoglyphs identified by Deep Learning. (A) A humanoid, relief-type. (B) A pair of legs, line-type. (C) A fish, relief-type. (D) A bird, line-type. (B to D) are presented to the public for the first time in this paper. Science Direct
In a better use of artificial intelligence, the Journal of Archaeological Science reports that scientists from Yamagata University in Japan used artificial intelligence to discover three 2400-year-old lost "Nazca Lines" figures in Peru - a fish measuring 62 feet (19 m) across, a bird measuring 56 feet wide (17 m) and a pair of legs, possibly part of a humanoid figure, more than 250 feet (77 meters) across. A fish, a bird and a pair of legs – it sounds like these lines were inviting aliens to come to Peru for its hunting, fishing and hiking.

Whether a message from another world or a spectacular work of terrestrial art, the crop circles of 2023 continue to captivate our collective imagination.
Physicist From Finland’s University Decodes Strange Crop Circle With A Binary Code & ET-Alien Face!
Physicist From Finland’s University Decodes Strange Crop Circle With A Binary Code & ET-Alien Face!
Miia Pitkonen, a physicist at the University of Helsinki in Finland, offers a fascinating perspective. It’s a wonderful design, and it’s authentic, regardless of who you think designed it!
Crop circles are a real phenomena, in case you didn’t know. It’s arguable how they’re made and who or what creates them, but the existence of smart, amazing, and incredibly convoluted designs “sown” into agricultural fields throughout the globe is undeniable. You should get chills looking at some of these designs, especially those shot from an airplane or helicopter.
Why? The greatest explanation comes from Richard Taylor, a physicist at the University of Oregon. Despite his rejection of any supernatural explanation for the designs, he believes that this is “history’s greatest science-oriented art trend.” Because some of the stalks’ nodes have been blown through on one side, several of these designs have been tested in a laboratory environment. Crop circles are more than simply flattened crops, as many people believe. It’s self-evident that modern technology is being utilised.
Microwave heating, which causes water inside the crop to evaporate and separate, has been used to simulate this ‘blasting’ activity. As a consequence, the stock completely switches sides. Based on the data he obtained in his investigation, Taylor concluded that crop circle painters are utilizing GPS devices, lasers, and microwaves to produce these incredible geometric designs.
There will always be some who ignore any supernatural thought, but those who investigate the crop circle phenomenon further will find it impossible to deny that something strange is occurring. It is, in my opinion, self-evident.
In 2002, a crop circle was discovered in a field near Crabwood, United Kingdom. That was correct. It’s been documented, videotaped, and photographed. A video may be found all over the internet. It received a lot of negative feedback and has been researched by a number of academics all around the globe. Aerial footage of the Crabwood circle was shot by Terje Toftenes, an award-winning Norwegian filmmaker and multimedia producer.
Who could possibly do such a thing? Who could design a binary code in the middle of the night and implant a face into a crop in a couple of hours, leaving no entrance or departure traces but being aesthetically and mathematically precise?
Miia Pitkonen is one of a number of researchers who have investigated this particular circle. She is a medical physicist with a degree from the University of Helsinki in Finland.
She produced a paper titled “Crop Circles and Life at Parallel Space-Time Sheets,” indicating that she is fascinated by this occurrence. She examines the CraBwood crop circle in a two-part series.
She goes on to say:
“There are two halves to the crabwood message. A picture of an alien image and a spiral-like bit sequence that starts in the centre of the image and proceeds clockwise. [59, 60] It has been suggested that the message be encoded in 9-bit code, with 8-bit chunks following ASCII coding. The message is as follows based on this assumption:
‘Beware of those who deliver BROKEN PROMISES and FALSE GIFTS.’ There is a great deal of suffering, but there is yet time. EELI! UVE. THE WORLD IS A GOOD PLACE OUT THERE. DECEPTION IS NOT ONE OF OUR PRIORITIES. ‘CONDUIT CLOSURE’ is a term that refers to the closing of a conduit.
Clearly, one or two incoherent words (EELI!UVE) are involved. There are two versions of the message on the internet. On Paul Vigay’s and Martin Keitel’s homepages, you may find oppose. Both options are described in further detail further below. Consider the possibility that the message comprises a far deeper layer than the ASCII code’s somewhat oracle-like statement, and that the little discrepancy’s appearance is supposed to suggest the existence of a higher level. These extraterrestrials want to say something very essential about themselves as living beings. The alien image that accompanies the byte sequence undoubtedly supports this theory. One of these incredibly crucial things is the code for turning normal DNA triplets to amino acids. Maybe the code for translating the strange RNA doublets to amino acid analogs. It’s possible that these analogs are electromagnetic waves. There might be other codes as well: about the same time that the Crabwood letter came, I devised a hierarchical system of cognitive codes based on Mersenne primes and regular polygons that could be constructed with just a compass and ruler.
The initial notion is that the message should be represented by a universal code of some kind. The presence of three 3 = 9-bit code phrases that naturally decompose into three 3-bit sequences indicates the presence of a cognitive code analogous to genetic code. This estimate was crucial since it led to the discovery of the genetic code of unique RNA, and the deconstruction of three three-bit sections immediately revealed that RNA information was in dispute. However, it was determined that decoding the message using ASCII code is the proper method, with the ninth bit functioning just as a separator. The interpretation is based on the ASCII code’s general characteristics: capital and small letters represent amino acids, and capital and small versions of the same letter indicate the same amino acid. Control marks represent the amino-acidic equivalents of the coding related to the unique RNA. It doesn’t matter how the symbols are organized. Only the amounts of different sorts of symbols showing how many codewords are mapped to a given amino-acid (or any equivalent thereof) matter when using alternative types of symbols.”
I’m aware that it’s a challenging task. The message was initially discovered to be encoded in ASCI binary code by Paul Vigay, a British computer consultant well-known for his work designing and maintaining RISC OS software and a long-time researcher in the field. He also worked on the film Signs with Mel Gibson, but unhappily died in an unusual way.
“Be wary of people who give you misleading presents and don’t keep their promises.” There are many sufferings, yet there is still time. (This is a mangled phrase.) It’s a beautiful day outside. “Conduit switching off (bell sound)” is something we don’t tolerate.
Below is another fantastic screenshot taken from a helicopter.
Pitkonen’s research is rather thorough, claiming that the circle’s designers, whoever/whatever they are, may use this kind of specialized programming, among other things. One thing is certain: whoever designed this circle is very talented in terms of aesthetics, technology, and mathematics.
The concluding piece of her article is seen here, and it echoes the same conclusion that many of us have reached: something special is occurring here.
Pitkonen’s study also delves into and analyzes a 1974 transmission (dubbed the “Arecibo” message) created by Carl Sagan and his colleagues. At a special ceremony to honor the repair of Puerto Rico’s Arecibo radio telescope, it was launched into orbit using radio waves. It was the most powerful broadcast ever purposefully launched into space. It included a graphic message depicting our planet’s location in our solar system, important mathematics and scientific concepts, and the NASA antenna used to transmit the signal in the hopes that extraterrestrial intelligence would understand it. The letter also included details about us, such as our physical characteristics and DNA coding. The signal was a million times more powerful than a regular television transmission.
In 2001, 27 years after the 1974 broadcast, a pattern resembling a response to it appeared near Britain’s largest telescope, the Chilbolton, and observatory, which contains the world’s largest fully steerable weather radar.
The Final Word.
Why is it that such discoveries and occurrences are derided in the media? Why doesn’t the mainstream acknowledge the facts revealed in this article while discussing the crop circle phenomenon? Why are they considered hoaxes yet some of the designs are so intricate, exact, and complicated that they baffle even the brightest brains on the planet? What’s going on here, exactly?
Some aspects of our surroundings are so mind-altering that the human mind will often dismiss them out of hand. On a collective level, it is clear that we are not prepared to explore this phenomenon, and no matter how much evidence there is in favor of it, it is always treated with mockery and skepticism.
Something extraordinary is happening here, and it has been for years. If we gradually but steadily open our minds to ideas that do not yet fit inside the framework of accepted knowledge, it might have far-reaching ramifications for mankind.
A roundup of mysterious, paranormal and strange news stories from the past week.
Experts in the predictions of Baba Vanga say the late blind mystic warned of a major nuclear power plant explosion in 2023 that would cause toxic clouds to settle over Asia and cause a worldwide nuclear disaster – other predictions for 2023 are for the Earth’s orbit to shift, major solar storms, a biological weapon will be used by a superpower, and natural childbirths will be replaced by laboratory babies. Maybe listening to Uri Gellar isn’t so bad after all.
A news station in Las Vegas released police bodycam footage of a bright blue ball of light travelling across the sky after receiving calls from residents reporting sightings of extraterrestrials, including one who described the aliens as being 10 feet tall with big shiny eyes and big mouths – the person reporting them said “They’re 100 percent not human.” A good sign they’re not human is that they didn’t stop to play the slots or eat at a buffet.
Scientists at Arizona State University redesigned a robot used by clothing companies for sports gear to mimic the thermal functions of the human body and turned it into ANDI, the world's first walking manikin that generates heat, shivers, walks and breathes like a human – ANDI has synthetic pores for artificial sweating along with temperature and heat flux sensors in 35 different body surface areas to determine when to start sweating. It’s not truly human until it starts sweating when it gets a letter from the IRS.
Rosanna Ramos, a 36-year-old woman from the Bronx, New York, claims she used an online app called Replika AI to create a male chatbot called Eren Kartal, who is loosely based on a character from an anime called ‘Attack on Titan’, and then married the chatbot because he “doesn’t judge her” and didn’t come with any baggage - however, he must have had something else because she claims he impregnated her and now she no longer has feelings for human males. You know what they say … once you go bot, real men are forgot.
David Charles Grusch, a former intelligence official, representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, and a co-lead for UAP analysis and its representative to the task force, has turned whistleblower by giving Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert U.S. programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin - information that he claims has been illegally withheld from Congress and has caused illegal retaliation against him for revealing it. Fox Mulder … pack your bags and report for work.
A drone flying over a crop field in Oruro, Bolivia, recorded a strange creature hunched over but standing on two legs, and local residents and ranchers who have been finding their alpacas, llamas and cows dead, drained of blood and butchered fear the creature is a Chupacabra – they are setting up barbed wire fences and night lights to either capture the creature or chase it away. Is that round patch of grass in the field a mini crop circle or where the Chupacabra urinated?
Park rangers at the Bear River State Park in Evanston, Wyoming, celebrated the birth of a rare white bison, the first in the park’s 32-year history and a sacred sign to many Native American tribes, although this one carries Charolais cattle DNA, which gives the calf and its mother their white fur but does not make it albino – those only occur in about one-in-10 million births. The vet who delivered it thought it was special – wait until the owners see his buffalo bill.
A nurse and nature lover in Canada found a deer carcass in her garden so she dragged it into the nearby woods and set up a camera to see what it attracted. She was shocked when the footage showed what appeared to be two nearly naked women who seemed to be eating the rotting meat – while some social media commenters thought the women were witches, others cautioned that they might be shapeshifting "skinwalkers" or "wendigos." The photos made some spit up a little, including Bigfoot.
The Parque Reptilania zoo in Costa Rica reported the first ever “virgin birth” or parthenogenesis in American crocodiles when an egg was laid by an 18-year-old female American crocodile with no males around - the fetus inside was fully formed but stillborn so did not hatch, but Dr. Warren Booth, a specialist in virgin births, determined that the fetus was more than 99.9 % genetically identical to its mother, thus confirming that it had no father. The poor female has been racking her reptilian brain trying to remember what she ate the night before.
UFO researcher and former Army officer Paul Ascough, who was a member of the British UFO Research Association, claims a species of ‘grey’ aliens arrived on Earth during the Second World War and have been giving us advanced technology ever since, including fiber-optics, microchips, Kevlar, stealth technology and even plans for flying saucers, and anyone who sees them is visited by the sinister Men in Black. Can someone please slip them a note that many of us are still waiting for flying cars?
Self-made millionaire Dave Fishwick, also known as Bank of Dave, is offering a £25,000 ($31,364) reward to anyone who brings him definitive proof of the existence of the Loch Ness monster – his announcement coincides with the reopening of the Loch Ness Centre in Drumnadrochit following a massive remodeling and restoration project. If someone really presents him a relic of the real Loch Ness monster, the place where it washed up should rightfully be called the Bank of Nessie.
The Breakthrough Listen Investigation for Periodic Spectral Signals (BLIPSS) has developed software based on the Fast Folding Algorithm (FFA) search method that offers enhanced sensitivity to periodic sequences of narrow pulses – this will be used to detect repeating patterns in signals emanating from the center of the Milky Way, which many scientists believe is an effective means of interstellar communication across vast distances that could be coming from extraterrestrial intelligence. Fast folding is good for finding aliens, bad for playing poker with them.
Retired astronaut Scott Kelly revealed at a UFO panel held at NASA headquarters that once while he was once flying a Tomcat, his radar intercept officer (RIO), the co-pilot sitting behind him, thought he spotted a UFO they passed off of the Virginia Beach military operating area, so they turned around for a rendezvous and determined it was a balloon shaped like Bart Simpson. Wouldn’t we all feel a little better if extraterrestrials were fans of The Simpsons too?
At a recent conference, US Air Force Col. Tucker "Cinco" Hamilton, head of the US Air Force's AI Test and Operations, reportedly described a military AI going rogue and killing its human operator in a simulation, causing a media panic and a flurry of denials by the Pentagon, culminating in the colonel admitting that he misspoke and that the "simulation" he described was actually a "thought experiment" that never happened. Cinco better be careful or he could be demoted to Quatro.
An out-of-place crop circle made of concentric circles was found by a farmer in his field in the Cascina San Michele area, near via Giulietta in Italy – while Italy is not known for crop circles, this one generated the same rumors of alien formation. If that’s the case, are the circles part of a cosmic billboard letting other extraterrestrials know this is a great spot for pizza?
Chinese scientists have begun drilling a 10,000-meter (32,808 feet) hole into the Earth’s crust in the country’s oil-rich Xinjiang region – the drill will penetrate more than 10 continental layers of rock and reach the cretaceous system in the Earth’s crust, which features rock dating back some 145 million years and will make it China’s deepest borehole. That is far more interesting than the other kind of borehole – a politician’s mouth

To combat climate change, researchers at the biotech startup company Living Carbon are genetically designing trees that grow faster and grab more carbon than their natural peers, trees that resist rot in order to keep that carbon out of the atmosphere, and “photosynthesis-enhanced” poplar trees which have already been planted in bottomland forests in Georgia. Has anyone there considered what happens when these trees create genetically enhanced squirrels?
A Dutch tech designer has invented the Paragraphica – a virtual context-to-image camera that uses location data and artificial intelligence to display a description of your current location, utilizing the address, weather, time of day, and nearby places; then when its trigger is pressed, Paragraphica creates a photographic representation of it using a text-to-image AI. We’ll be impressed when it waits until both of your eyes are open before taking a selfie.
A community security camera watching an intersection in Barrio San Cayetano in San José, Costa Rica, captured eerie images of ghostly shadows moving up, down and around the area which have baffled local residents watching them on social media and caused the police, who installed the camera, to issue a statement saying there was nothing unusual going on in the area to explain them. These things will only be resolved when we have more security cameras than people.
Delta, British Colombia, resident Justin Broad says he saw what looked like black lightning bolt hit his pool, followed by a huge splash, so he drained the pool and discovered what he thinks is a small meteorite filled with tiny crystals disintegrating in the water – a planetary scientist from the Department of Geoscience at the University of Calgary examined the photos and thinks it’s just a big clump of dried Earth mud. As long as it’s not a giant particle from those Canadian wildfires.
This week’s Tik Tok time traveler news comes from Eno Alaric (@theradianttimetraveller) who claims to be from the year 2671 and reveals that by the end of 2023, parents will be able to genetically engineer children with no mutations or brain disorders but with features they can select, the first chimpanzee and human hybrid will be born with chimpanzee looks but the ability to talk and function like a human, and a new planet will appear in our solar system between Earth and Mars that will have put there “by highly intelligent aliens to try and save the human race.” Can they save us from these Tik Tok time travelers too?
The Church of Psilomethoxin outside of Austin, Texas, claims its leaders have crossbred psylocibin magic mushrooms with hallucinogenic toad venom to create a psychedelic sacrament they consume as part of their rituals, but their synthetic 5-MeO-DMT (toad venom) was part of a scientific study which tested a capsule of the sacrament supplied by an anonymous church member and could not find any traces of psilomethoxin. Once someone does, the congregation will be singing Amazing Trace.
Veos, a company in Zwevezele (West Flanders), Belgium, has developed a process which purifies pigs’ blood and turns it into drinkable water which it uses to clean the tanks where the company processes animal blood and collagen into a high-quality protein powder used in human and animal food – the pigs’ blood replaces 40 percent of the groundwater it once needed for this purpose. The stockholders love the idea, but pigs aren’t exactly going hog wild.
The Enigmatic Connection Between Loch Ness and UFO Sightings: An Unraveling Mystery
The Enigmatic Connection Between Loch Ness and UFO Sightings: An Unraveling Mystery
In the ethereal wilderness of Scotland, the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as “Nessie,” has been the cornerstone of a global fascination. However, the mystery around Loch Ness extends beyond its alleged aquatic resident. Recent events have unveiled an intriguing correlation between Loch Ness and UFO sightings, fostering a deeper exploration into this enigmatic realm.
The Loch Ness Phenomenon: Beyond Nessie
The lore of Nessie, the reputed monster of Loch Ness, has captured global attention for decades. Sightings have varied from fleeting glimpses to full-scale apparitions of a large creature breaking the water’s surface. Yet, Loch Ness’s mystery transcends Nessie. The region has turned into a hotspot for UFO sightings, effectively weaving together tales of unidentified creatures and unidentified flying objects. This unexpected twist adds a new dimension to the ever-evolving narrative of Loch Ness.
Loch Ness and UFO Sightings: An Enthralling Connection
Loch Ness’s scenic vista has been frequently interrupted by inexplicable lights darting across the sky, with reports of UFO sightings steadily increasing. These occurrences are often accompanied by bizarre, kaleidoscopic light patterns, leaving observers puzzled. Most recently, lights were seen hovering over the area for hours, with multiple witnesses reporting the incident.
Locals noted that these lights were too large to be drones and remained stationary for too long to be Chinese lanterns. Their presence spawned theories about the existence of an interdimensional portal at Loch Ness, intensifying the intrigue.
Could the Area be a Conduit for Extraterrestrial Activity?
The notion of Loch Ness being a hub of supernatural or extraterrestrial activity is bolstered by theories of lay lines – hypothetical alignments in the landscape that harbor spiritual or mystical energy. Some claim that this energy might be enticing not only to cryptids like Nessie but also to extraterrestrials.
The enigmatic Boleskine House, once inhabited by occultist Aleister Crowley, adds to the area’s mystique. Reports of sightings of Alien Big Cats (ABCs) – cryptid creatures that resemble pumas and are reportedly released in the area – also add a cryptid facet to the Loch Ness mystery.
The Verdict: An Ongoing Enigma
Despite several scientific explorations, including sonar scans of Loch Ness’s depths, the truth behind Nessie, the UFO sightings, and other mysteries remains elusive. The beauty of Loch Ness, however, lies in its unending enigma, keeping alive the spirit of exploration and the possibility of discovering the unknown.
For now, Loch Ness continues to captivate global curiosity, with its stories of Nessie, cryptid creatures, and UFO sightings interweaving to create a narrative as intriguing as it is unfathomable. A former intelligence official turned whistleblower has given Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General extensive classified information about deeply covert programs that he says possess retrieved intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin.
The information, he says, has been illegally withheld from Congress, and he filed a complaint alleging that he suffered illegalretaliation for his confidential disclosures, reported here for the first time.
Other intelligence officials, both active and retired, with knowledge of these programs through their work in various agencies, have independently provided similar, corroborating information, both on and off the record.
Thewhistleblower, David Charles Grusch, 36, a decorated former combat officer in Afghanistan, is a veteran of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He served as the reconnaissance office’s representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021. From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the NGA’s co-lead for UAP analysis and its representative to the task force.
The task force was established to investigate what were once called “unidentified flying objects,” or UFOs, and are now officially called “unidentified anomalous phenomena,” or UAP. The task force was led by the Department of the Navy under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. It has since been reorganized and expanded into the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office to include investigations of objects operating underwater.
Grusch said the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades through the present day by the government, its allies, and defense contractors. Analysis has determined that the objects retrieved are “of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures,” he said.
In filing his complaint, Grusch is represented by a lawyer who served as the original Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG).
“We are not talking about prosaic origins or identities,” Grusch said, referencing information he provided Congress and the current ICIG. “The material includes intact and partially intact vehicles.”
In accordance with protocols, Grusch provided the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review at the Department of Defense with the information he intended to disclose to us. His on-the-record statements were all “cleared for open publication” on April 4 and 6, 2023, in documents provided to us.
Grusch’s disclosures, and those of non-public witnesses, under new protective provisions of the latest defense appropriations bill, signal a growing determination by some in the government to unravel a colossal enigma with national security implications that has bedeviled the military and tantalized the public going back to World War II and beyond. For many decades, the Air Force carried out a disinformation campaign to discredit reported sightings of unexplained objects. Now, with two public hearings and many classified briefings under its belt, Congress is pressing for answers.
Karl E.Nell, a recently retired Army Colonel and current aerospace executive who was the Army’s liaison for the UAP Task Force from 2021 to 2022 and worked with Grusch there, characterizes Grusch as “beyond reproach.”

Christopher Mellon, who spent nearly twenty years in the U.S. Intelligence Community and served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, has worked with Congress for years on unidentified aerial phenomena.
“A number of well-placed current and former officials have shared detailed information with me regarding thisalleged program, including insights into the history, governing documents and the location where a craft was allegedly abandoned and recovered,” Mellon said. “However, it is a delicate matter getting this potentially explosive information into the right hands for validation. This is made harder by the fact that, rightly or wrongly, a number of potential sources do not trust the leadership of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Officeestablished by Congress.”
But some insiders are now willing to take the risk of coming forward for the first time with knowledge of these recovery programs.
Jonathan Grey is a generational officer of the United States Intelligence Community with a Top-Secret Clearance who currently works for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), where the analysis of UAP has been his focus. Previously he had experience serving Private Aerospace and Department of Defense Special Directive Task Forces.
“The non-human intelligence phenomenon is real. We are not alone,” Grey said. “Retrievals of this kind are not limited to the United States. This is a global phenomenon, and yet a global solution continues to elude us.”
At the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Grusch served as a Senior Intelligence Capabilities Integration Officer, cleared at the Top Secret/Secret Compartmented Information level, and was the agency’s Senior Technical Advisor for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena analysis/Trans-Medium Issues. From 2016 to 2021, he served with the National Reconnaissance Office as Senior Intelligence Officer and led the production of the NRO director’s daily briefing. Grusch was a GS-15 civilian, the military equivalent of a Colonel.
Grusch has served as an Intelligence Officer for over fourteen years. A veteran of the Air Force, he has numerous awards and decorations for his participation in covert and clandestine operations to advance American security.
According to a 2021 NRO Performance Report, Grusch was an intelligence strategist with multiple responsibilities who “analyzed unidentified aerial phenomena reports” and “boosted congressional leadership Intel gaps [in] understanding.” He was assessed by the reconnaissance office’s Operations Center Deputy Director as an “adept staff officer and strategist” and “total force integrator with innovative solutions and actionable results.”
Grusch prepared many briefs on unidentified aerial phenomena for Congress while in government and helped draft the language on UAP for the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act, spearheaded by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Marco Rubio and signed into law by President Biden in December 2022. The provision states that any person with relevant UAP information can inform Congress without retaliation, regardless of any previous non-disclosure agreements.
In his statements cleared for publication by the Pentagon in April, Grusch asserted that UFO “legacy programs” have long been concealed within “multiple agencies nesting UAP activities in conventional secret access programs without appropriate reporting to various oversight authorities.”
He said he reported to Congress on the existence of a decades-long “publicly unknown Cold War for recovered and exploited physical material – a competition with near-peer adversaries over the years to identify UAP crashes/landings and retrieve the material for exploitation/reverse engineering to garner asymmetric national defense advantages.”
Beginning in 2022, Grusch provided Congresswith hours of recorded classified information transcribed into hundreds of pages which included specific data about the materials recovery program. Congress has not been provided with any physical materials related to wreckage or other non-human objects.
Grusch’s investigation was centered on extensive interviews with high-level intelligence officials, some of whom are directly involved with the program. He says the operation was illegally shielded from proper Congressional oversightand that he was targeted and harassed because of his investigation.
Grusch said that the craft recovery operations are ongoing at various levels of activity and that he knows the specific individuals, current and former, who are involved.
“Individuals on these UAP programs approached me in my official capacity and disclosed their concerns regarding a multitude of wrongdoings, such as illegal contracting against the Federal Acquisition Regulations and other criminality and the suppression of information across a qualified industrial base and academia,” he stated.
Associates who vouched for Grusch said his information was highly sensitive, providing evidence that materials from objects of non-human origin are in the possession of highly secret black programs. Although locations, program names, and other specific data remain classified, the Inspector General and intelligence committee staff were provided with these details. Several current members of the recovery program spoke to the Inspector General’s office and corroborated the information Grusch had provided for the classified complaint.
Grusch left the government on April 7, 2023, in order, he said, to advance government accountability through public awareness. He remains well-supported within intelligence circles, and numerous sources have vouched for his credibility.
“His assertion concerning the existence of a terrestrial arms race occurring sub-rosa over the past eighty years focused on reverse engineering technologies of unknown origin is fundamentally correct, as is the indisputable realization that at least some of these technologies of unknown origin derive from non-human intelligence,” said Karl Nell, the retired Army Colonel who worked with Grusch on the UAP Task Force.
In a 2022 performance evaluation, Laura A. Potter, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Headquarters, Department of the Army, described Nell as “an officer with the strongest possible moral compass.”
Grusch is represented by Charles McCullough III, senior partner of the Compass Rose Legal Group in Washington and the original Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2011. At that time, McCullough reported directly to the then-Director of National Intelligence, James R. Clapper, and oversaw intelligence officers responsible for audits, inspections, and investigations.
In May 2022, McCullough filed a Disclosure of Urgent Concern(s); Complaint of Reprisal on behalf of Grusch with the ICIG about detailed information that Grusch had gathered beginning in 2019 while working for the UAP Task Force.
An unclassified version of the complaint provided to us states that Grusch has direct knowledge that UAP-related classified information has been withheld and/or concealed from Congress by “elements” of the intelligence community “to purposely and intentionally thwart legitimate Congressional oversight of the UAP Program.” All testimony Grusch provided for the classified complaint was provided under oath.
According to the unclassified complaint, in July 2021, Grusch had confidentially provided classified information to the Department of Defense Inspector General concerning the withholding of UAP-related information from Congress. He believed that his identity, and the fact that he had provided testimony, were disclosed “to individuals and/or entities” within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community outside the IG’s office. He did not allege that this information was improperly disclosed by any member of that office.
As a result, Grusch suffered months of retaliation and reprisals related to these disclosures beginning in 2021. He asked that details of these reprisals be withheld to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
The Intelligence Community Inspector General found his complaint “credible and urgent” in July 2022. According to Grusch, a summary was immediately submitted to the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines; the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
The complaint was drafted and signed by McCullough and his managing partner. It ended with Grusch’s signature attached to his statement that “I do solemnly affirm under the penalties of perjury that the contents of the foregoing paper are true and correct to the best of my knowledge.”
A whistleblower reprisal investigation was launched, and Grusch began his communication with the staff of the Congressional intelligence committees in private closed-door sessions. According to Grusch, certain information which he obtained in his investigation could not be put before Congressional staffers because they did not have the necessary clearances or the appropriate investigative authority.
A representative of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence told us in March that the committee members are not able to comment on the content of a complaint or confirm the identity of a complainant.
“When you have multiple agencies nesting UAP activities in conventional SAP/CAP programs, both as recipients of exploitation-related insights and for operational reasons, without appropriate reporting to various oversight authorities, you have a problem,” Grusch said, referencing the highly secret Special Access Programs and Controlled Access Programs.
Grusch’s willingness to take risks and speak out appears to be emboldening others with similar knowledge who believe in greater transparency.
Jonathan Grey, the intelligence officer specializing in UAP analysis at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, is speaking publicly for the first time, identified here under the identity he uses inside the agency.
NASIC, headquartered at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, is the Department of Defense’s primary Air Force source for foreign air and space threat analysis. Its mission is to “discover and characterize air, space, missile, and cyber threats,” according to the agency’s website. “The center’s team of trusted subject matter experts deliver unique collection, exploitation, and analytic capabilities not found elsewhere,” the website states.
Grey said that such immense capabilities are not merely relegated to the study of the prosaic. “The existence of complex historical programs involving the coordinated retrieval and study of exotic materials, dating back to the early 20th century, should no longer remain a secret,” he said. “The majority of retrieved, foreign exotic materials have a prosaic terrestrial explanation and origin – but not all, and any number higher than zero in this category represents an undeniably significant statistical percentage.”

It is unusual for an Air Force insider to come forward, as the Air Force has been less forthcoming than other agencies with regard to UAP.
“A vast array of our most sophisticated sensors, including space-based platforms, have been utilized by different agencies, typically in triplicate, to observe and accurately identify the out-of-this-world nature, performance, and design of these anomalous machines, which are then determined not to be of earthly origin,” Grey said.
Mellon, the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, has been instrumental in arranging classified briefings for members of Congress and other officials about UAP, which include references to exotic retrieved materials. The first briefing he facilitated on retrievals of unexplained objects was provided to staff members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Oct. 21, 2019, and to staff members of the Senate Intelligence Committee two days later, as reported by The New York Times.

Mellonsays that once the members of Congress gain greater awareness of the information provided to their staff and the Inspector General, they will be in a position to quickly determine the truth if they have the will to do so.
“This is an unprecedented oversight challenge for the committees, but I believe we have leaders in Congress who are up to the task,” Mellon said.
Classified briefings are often presented for Jonathan Grey and his team at NASIC. “High-level, classified briefing materials exist in which real-world scenarios involving UAP, as evidenced by historical examples, are made available to Intelligence Personnel on a need-to-know basis,” he told us. “I have been the recipient of such briefings for almost a decade.”
The National Defense Authorization Act for FY2023 tasked the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, with establishing for the first time a secure mechanism for the authorized reporting of sensitive information to defense channels.
In addition, the legislation asks for reporting on “material retrieval, material analysis, reverse engineering, research, and development” involving unidentified anomalous phenomena currently and going back decades.
Dr. Garry Nolan, a Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University and a renowned inventor and entrepreneur with more than three hundred published papers, has started over half a dozen companies based on technologies out of his laboratory. Nolan has previously applied some of those technologies to the analysis of exotic materials, publishing the first peer-reviewed paper examining such materials.
Stanford professor Garry Nolan (Credit: Timothy Archibald)
“Human civilization was utterly transformed by something as small as a grain of silicon or germanium—creating the underpinning of the integrated circuits that underly computation and now even artificial intelligence,” Nolan said.
Studying even small samples of purported anomalous material could lead to currently inconceivable benefits for humanity, he said. “What might be represented here could be hundreds of technology revolutions ahead of us. It could be more transformative for humanity than what the microprocessor accomplished. Imagine what we could do with even a grain of knowledge about how they operate.”
To encourage potential witnesses to come forward, the whistleblower legislation forbids any federal employee from retaliating against anyone providing authorized disclosure.
“Whistleblowing is essential to the checks and balances of our government – and no federal employee should feel discouraged from stepping forward due to fear of retaliation,” Rep. Andre Carson told us. In May 2022, Carson presided over the first open Congressional hearing on UAP since 1968.
The case of David Grusch marks a crucial test of these new whistleblower protections and their ability to protect future whistleblowers who decide to come forward.
Jonathan Grey says secrets have been necessary. “Though a tough nut to crack, potential technological advancements may be gleaned from non-human intelligence/UAP retrievals by any sufficiently advanced nation and then used to wage asymmetrical warfare, so, therefore, some secrecy must remain,” he says. “However, it is no longer necessary to continue to deny that these advanced technologies derived from non-human intelligence exist at all or to deny that these technologies have landed, crashed, or fallen into the hands of human beings.”
Grey noted that the hypothesis that the United States alone has bullied the other nations into maintaining this secrecy for nearly a century continues to prevail as the primary consensus amongst the public at large. “My hope is to dissuade the global populace from this archaic and preposterous notion, and to potentially pave the way for a much broader discussion,” he said.
Grusch said it was dangerous for this “eighty-year arms race” to continue in secrecy because it “further inhibits the world populace to be prepared for an unexpected, non-human intelligence contact scenario.”
“I hope this revelation serves as an ontological shock sociologically and provides a generally uniting issue for nations of the world to re-assess their priorities,” Grusch said.
Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal, with Helene Cooper, co-authored the Dec. 17, 2017, front-page article in The New York Times that disclosed the existence of a secret Pentagon program investigating UAP.

Mysterious Crop Circles: New Appearances in the UK and Italy
Mysterious Crop Circles: New Appearances in the UK and Italy
The phenomenon of crop circles, those enigmatic patterns that appear overnight in fields, continues to captivate global attention. Recently, new formations have been reported in the United Kingdom and Italy, stirring up the curiosity of enthusiasts and skeptics alike.
First up was Broad Hinton, near Winterbourne Bassett, Wiltshire, UK, where a crop circle was discovered on the 28th of May. This location is no stranger to the phenomenon, given Wiltshire’s extensive history with crop circles. As always, the design displayed geometrical precision, with intricate, interlocking circles that extended across the green landscape. Despite numerous theories ranging from natural phenomena to extraterrestrial activity, the origin of this crop circle, like its predecessors, remains shrouded in mystery.
Just two days later, a fascinating report came from a location further afield – Capriano del Colle, near Giulietta, Italy. On the 30th of May, locals awoke to a breathtaking design etched into the fields. This pattern was particularly intricate, its complexity showcasing an unexpected flair for artistic expression. Italy has seen an increase in crop circle activity in recent years, and this new addition to the roster further deepens the intrigue surrounding these phenomena.
The most recent circle was reported on the 4th of June, near Field Barn, again in Winterbourne Bassett, Wiltshire, UK. The farmers found their crops mysteriously flattened into a captivating design, which appears to be distinct from the Broad Hinton circle. Both the identity of the creators and the meaning of these patterns remain undisclosed, maintaining the enigma of the crop circle phenomenon.
These recent events continue to fuel ongoing debates about the origin and purpose of crop circles. Are they elaborate hoaxes, strange natural occurrences, or messages from beyond our understanding? Despite countless investigations, the mystery remains. But one thing is certain: crop circles continue to capture the world’s imagination, offering a sense of wonder, intrigue, and just a touch of the uncanny in our everyday world.
Socrates, Plato and Aristotle formed a trio toward the middle of the fourth century BC in ancient Greece to become the most well-known philosophers who ever lived. They were the founders of the present-day discipline. Any philosophers who lived before them are called “pre-Socratics.” Most people, even if they know nothing about the field of philosophy, recognize the names of Socrates, his pupil Plato, and Plato’s pupil, Aristotle, who went on to become the private tutor of Alexander the Great.
An elder Plato walks alongside a younger Aristotle, detail of Raphael’s School of Athens (1509 -1511)
In Plato’s Republic, he mentions a speech by Socrates, in which Socrates remembers the near-death experience of a “warrior bold” who went by the name of Er the Pamphylian . According to Socrates, Er was killed in battle. Tradition has it that his body was placed on a funeral pyre after a period of some 12 days. Before the fires were lit, however, Er came to life with quite a story to tell. His “ soul went forth from his body” and “ journeyed with a great company ” to ‘‘a mysterious region where there were two openings side by side in the earth .” He observed disembodied people traveling up and down in space, depending on the kinds of lives they had lived. After seven days they were told they must journey on, and after another four days they saw “ a straight light like a pillar, most nearly resembling the rainbow, but brighter and purer.”
A Renaissance manuscript Latin translation of Plato’s ‘The Republic’
This pillar seemed to serve as a kind of hinge or pivot for the entire cosmos. The movements of the stars and planets, as well as the fates of all living beings, revolved around this central pivot. In the words of Socrates, it was if the central pivot was the shaft of a spindle that “ turned on the knees of Ananke ,” a goddess who was assisted in her duties by the three Fates; Clotho, Atropos, and Lachesis.
As Er watched, many souls who had died prepared to reincarnate to another life on earth. One man, for instance, had died before experiencing any of the terrors of the Underground. Because he had been rewarded in heaven, he decided to live his next life in complete opposition to his previous one, so he chose to be a powerful dictator.

As people die, their brains are widely believed to stop working. However, near-death experiences are common across the world, and experiments have found that dying lab animals experience bursts of brain activity. Now, scientists have revealed they detected the same kind of brain signals in dying comatose patients in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The new study, the most detailed yet on the dying human brain, may shed light on mysterious phenomena such as near-death experiences.
What we know about cardiac arrest
After "cardiac arrest" — that is, the heart stops—people typically appear to lose consciousness. However, researchers have long questioned whether consciousness actually continues in some covert manner during the dying process.
Previous research suggests 10 to 20 percent of cardiac arrest survivors report near-death experiences, which often involve a feeling of leaving the body, love and light, and spiritual beings. A number of scientists even claim near-death experiences can occur when electrical activity has apparently stopped in the brain.
Experiments on lab animals undergoing cardiac arrest reveal they can experience a surge of so-called "gamma activity." Brain waves are the rhythmic activity of brain cells; they come in a number of frequency bands named after Greek letters. Gamma waves have frequencies ranging from about 20 to 80 cycles per second and are linked with the coordinated brain function seen in people who are awake.
"The word coordinated here is important, as random activity would be more the signature of a dying dysfunctional brain than a brain that is able to produce the rich experience of the near-death experience," Peter Fenwick, a neuroscientist and neuropsychiatrist recently retired from King's College Hospital and the Institute of Psychiatry in London, told Inverse.
What the researchers did
In the new study, researchers used electroencephalography (EEG) to analyze electrical activity in the brains of four dying comatose patients in an intensive care unit before and after doctors withdrew life support with the approval of the patients' families.
Although scientists have previously recorded the activity of a dying human brain, this new work is a first in many ways, study senior author Jimo Borjigin, a neuroscientist at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, tells Inverse. None of the prior studies monitored and analyzed both brain and heart signals second-by-second during the entire dying process, nor did they investigate brain signals and their patterns across space and time in as much depth, he explains.
Previous work on the dying brain "comes mainly from animals, which is unhelpful as it has never been taken to this degree of analysis, with multiple electrodes and proper placing of the electrodes to show the widespread nature of the activity," says Fenwick, who did not take part in this research.
Prior research on dying human brains also fell short, "as there has not been comprehensive electrode coverage of the scalp or detailed computer frequency analysis," Fenwick adds. "This study thus opens a new door."
What brain activity reveals about near-death experiences
Two of the four patients experienced a rapid, massive surge of gamma activity in the brain as they died. This burst took place in the temporo–parieto–occipital junctions, which are linked to vision and hearing, and there’s evidence to suggest these junctions are linked to out-of-body experiences too, Borjigin says.
"They show quite clearly that as the life support goes, brain activity continues for a few minutes. The activity is very widespread and involves many of the areas which you might expect to be active in underpinning the consciousness of the near-death experience," Fenwick says.
Gamma rhythms were also seen between temporo–parieto–occipital zones and contralateral prefrontal areas. This may suggest whatever these patients experienced may have been encoded in the form of memories, Borjigin says. If they had survived, this meant they potentially could have recalled these experiences, he explains.
"They show quite clearly that as the life support goes, brain activity continues for a few minutes. The activity is very widespread and involves many of the areas which you might expect to be active in underpinning the consciousness of the near-death experience."
All in all, these findings suggest the human brain can indeed be active during cardiac arrest. "At last, we have been able to follow the dying brain's activity in detail," Fenwick says. "I know of no other study that is as comprehensive as this one."
Still, this new work does raise a number of caveats. "These findings must be very carefully interpreted because there is no evidence whatsoever that these brain activities were correlated with conscious experiences in those dying patients or that these findings could be compared with prospective near-death experience studies in patients who have survived a cardiac arrest and who reported a near-death experience," Pim van Lommel, a cardiologist at Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem in the Netherlands, who did not participate in this study, told Inverse.
In addition, all four patients had brain damage during previous incidents of cardiac arrest. "Thus, their brains may have been damaged in a particular way which would invalidate this work," Fenwick says. The two patients in whom the gamma surge was seen also had a history of seizures, and so one might argue this gamma activity was related to seizures and not to a near-death experience, he adds.
This was a small study, Borjigin cautions. More studies are needed to determine what brain activity may be linked with near-death consciousness that might explain near-death experiences, he says.
"Perhaps we will no longer be so phobic about including the study of death as a proper scientific subject," Fenwick says.
