Cabal leaders go to Antarctica to surrender to Extraterrestrials and Earth Alliance
Cabal leaders go to Antarctica to surrender to Extraterrestrials and Earth Alliance
News has recently emerged of global elites (aka cabal) going to Antarctica for a secret meeting. We know from public tweets that Claus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, and Cristina Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank attended a secret Antarctica meeting. Two others present were Brad Garlinghouse and David Schwartz, respectively the President and Chief Technical Officer of Ripple Labs, a computer software company specializing in online payment systems.
The XRP site posts satirical stories, and takes pride in misinforming people. Unfortunately, regarding the four Antarctica tweets, this does cast considerable doubt on their authenticity.
However, disinformation is designed to muddy the waters about real events, and something did genuinely happen in Antarctica as one of the four sources, David Schwartz, is actively posting about his recent trip there. So we know one of the four twitter sources did go to Antarctica. Learn more at:exopolitics.org
Just when we thought the world couldn’t get any weirder and more mysterious, a huge stone ball was recently discovered in Bosnia.
It is an approximately 10-foot wide sphere, and it weighs well over 35 tons in total and its origins are a mystery to everyone involved.
Ancient Giant Stone Ball Found in Bosnia
Suad Keserovic is the man that we need to thank for this amazing discovery, and because of his discovery, the place was swarmed with fans of the strange and unexplained.
Everybody that went to see the huge sphere had the same question in mind, was this an incredible feat of nature, or is this yet another proof of an ancient lost civilization and their brilliant inventions?
Ancient Giant Stone Ball Found in Bosnia
Bosnia, Zavidovici is the area where it was discovered, more specifically in the Podubravlje village. Density wise, the boulder literally resembles iron, being about 7.8kg / m3.
A lot of people were quick to judge this off as definitive proof of an ancient lost civilization, but before we jump to any conclusions we do need to address the fact that the sphere is the most common form in nature.
What truly sets this finding apart from the rest though is the perfection in its craft.
It is simply put way too perfectly round and perfectly sized to be just a freak of nature. The area has been flooded by researchers and we definitely expect to hear more about it in the near future if it is proven to be proof of the lost civilization we spoke of before.
See the video below and tell us what you think about this gigantic stone ba
The original photo – can you find the crashed flying saucer?
“This image shows spectacular layers exposed on the bottom of Candor Chasma, a large canyon in the Valles Marineris system.”
That’s the official NASA description of the photo taken by the HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter on December 29, 2006. (You can see many versions of it here, including one with an arrow pointing to the “saucer” location.)
Here is a cropped and compressed blow-up of the alleged anomaly.

Here is a cropped and compressed version of the entire image, with an arrow pointing to where the anomaly is, so you can find it easier.
NASA called it the “Swirls of Rock in Candor Chasma” because of the intricate swirls of sand- and dust-sized particles approximately 4 kilometers below the rim of one of the largest canyons on Mars. That was impressive enough for NASA, but Jean Ward is one of those people with time, interest and magnifying software, and when he started digitally digging into the swirls of Candor Chasma, he found something he believes resembles a crashed flying saucer.
“The anomaly looks like a disc-shaped object which hit the surface of Mars at a very low angle and left a trench behind it. The disc-shaped object measures approximately 12 to 15 metres in diameter.”
“Alternatives: Could this possibly be a ramp leading into an underground entrance or is this an incomplete Project Ice-Worm structure? Or are we seeing a strange arc-shaped dune?”
Ward is kind enough to link to the HiRiSE site and provides instructions on seeing the original photo. He also provides his speculations on what it might be. While the Internet obviously likes the crashed flying saucer explanation, he also suggests it could be a designed structure – a ramp or part of tunnel for moving around nuclear weapons – that’s what the U.S. Army’s Project Iceworm was in Greenland in the early 1960s during the height of the Cold War.
“As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.”

Or … it could be an unusual dune. As always, anomalies are in the eye of the beholder, and if the beholder is a pareidoliac – one who sees faces in tortillas or on the surface of Mars – then it’s easy to see a crashed flying saucer. Most of us have a touch of pareidolia and a bit of wishful thinking, which explains why this ‘flying saucer’ photo won’t go away soon. Ward doesn’t say how close the Candor Chasma is to the Perseverance rover and its Ingenuity helicopter, but that would be an excellent road trip for the little chopper that could … and is still flying. After all, the Chinese space program is sending its lunar rover to inspect what appears to be a hut on the Moon.
The betting money right now is on a natural anomaly, but the really long odds are on whether NASA takes up the challenge and gets “up close and personal” to it. You’re probably better off buying a lottery ticket.

Strange Water Anomalies Occur At Same Time 2000 Miles Apart… Suggesting Western Hemisphere Tectonic Plates Beginning To Move And/Or Tilt!!
Looks like the Cocos and Nazca plates may have undergone a movement. From what I understand Pacific plate is being loosened, and so then, would these two smaller plates. Proof of this is recent Oregon earthquake swarm. There are reports of flooding in Playa Del Carmen and Cancun, Mexico areas 10 days ago. Is the water sloshing, or is it disappearing under the surface? Perhaps both!
Having discussed the matter of the Bigfoot-UFO issue – and of the Loch Ness-UFO angle, too – I thought it would be a good idea to share with you the data that suggests a UFO connection to another monster:the creepy Dog-Man. Yes, really! Before I get to the strange link, however, here’s some background on the matter the beast. Certainly, wolf-like, upright creatures have been described for centuries. I am , of course, talking about werewolves. However, the relatively recent phenomenon of the Dog-Man takes things to another, much more intriguing, angle. Linda Godfrey is the key figure in this controversy and she has written a number of books on the phenomenon. But, there’s more than that. There’s one particular Dog-Man-themed story that needs to be aired, as it has an alien angle to it. Believe it or not. While there are numerous theories for what the Dogmen are (demonic entities, shape-shifters, a rare/unique kind of wolf; the list goes on) the strangest of all the theories is that which suggests the creatures are extraterrestrials. Yes, you did read that right. In 2005, Linda Godfrey was contacted by a man – a military whistle-blower, we might say – who was an expert in the field of remote-viewing. According to Godfrey’s Edward Snowden-like source, the U.S. Government has uncovered data suggesting that the Dogmen are a very ancient, extraterrestrial race that closely resembles the ancient deity of the Underworld. And who might that be? It’s Anubis, that’s who. Linday’s informant also discovered – via remote-viewing – that the Dogmen can “jump” from location to location via portals or doorways in the fabric of space and time. That’s quite a story told to Godfrey: Dogmen from the stars that have a connection to Anubis. The story isn’t finished, though.

Linda Godfrey with Nick Redfern
On March 24, 2017, “The Emoluments of Mars” blog ran an article that said: “Mike Bara, the world-renowned geneticist and physiologist, was invited once again to blather for three hours on Jimmy Church’s podcast Fade to Black this week. 90% of it was discussion of a series of images of odd-looking artifacts on Mars. There was the pistol, the sarcophagus, the fossilized dinosaur, and my personal favorite the 20ft high cat playing air guitar.” In my book, The Martians, I wrote of this: “An upright cat, standing precariously on a huge hill, on none other than Mars? That is what one particular and peculiar photograph, secured by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, seems to show. The word ‘seems’ is the most important one in all of this. The picture shows what looks like a thin, humanoid-type figure – and that is so skinny it appears to resemble a classic, cartoon-like stick-man. We can see two arms (one of them raised), two legs, possibly two feet, and a head. Admittedly, the head is cat-like, and it has a pair of eyes and pointed ears. And, the “creature” appears to be standing in front of what looks like a shadowy entrance to a cave.” I have to say that Bizarre” is the word. Or, beyond bizarre.
(Nick Redfern)
Anubis from Mars?
I showed the picture to a well-known figure in the ““ancient aliens” world who, on seeing it, practically foamed at the mouth. I’ll avoid mentioning his name, as he has since moved on and relegated it to the “pareidolia basket.” Before doing so, however, he spent a couple of weeks working on a paper titled “Anubis on Mars?” The reason: the person in question felt that the “upright cat” looked far more like none other than Anubis. And who, precisely, was Anubis? Let us take a look: “Anubis is the Egyptian name for a jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife in Egyptian mythology,” Crystalinks state. “Anubis was the god to protect the dead and bring them to the afterlife. He was usually portrayed as a half human, half jackal, or in full jackal form wearing a ribbon and holding a flail in the crook of its arm.” I’ve had people tell me that the Dog-Men and Anubis might have a connection. I have no evidence, at all, to support such a controversial thing. But, it’s worth keeping things in mind when it comes to the words of Linda Godfrey’s “Deep Throat”/whistleblower.
It was in April 1561 when all residents of Nuremberg, Germany, came out of their houses to investigate mysterious lights and loud sounds. They watched the sky, in awe and fear as they witnessed what appeared to be some kind of air battle—and all of this in broad daylight of the early morning.
The reports of event say it lasted for about an hour, and artist Hans Glaser documented this strange event for the German Nuremberg Gazette. Describing the event, he refers to crosses, tubes, wheels, multi-colored objects and globes over the city. Hundreds of them. Objects would disappear in smoke, some even crashing into the ground. The smoke was visible for miles.
This image and description have begged explanation for centuries. What on Earth could explain these phenomena that were seemingly witnessed by many people?
Some would dismiss all of this to the appearance of meteors or comets, even other natural events, but the uniqueness of the Nuremberg incident eliminates such interpretations. The detailed description which is given by Glaser doesn’t seem to fit with any naturally occurring causes:
…the dreadful apparition filled the morning sky with cylindrical shapes from which emerged black, red, orange and blue-white spheres that darted about. Between the spheres, there were crosses with the color of blood. This frightful spectacle was witnessed by ‘numerous men and women.’ Afterwards, a black, spear-like object appeared. The author of the Gazette warned that ‘the God-fearing will by no means discard these signs, but will take it to heart as a warning of their merciful Father in heaven, will mend their lives and faithfully beg God, that he avert His wrath, including the well-deserved punishment, on us, so that we may, temporarily here and perpetually there, live as His children.’
Cylinders, crosses and a black spear-like object appearing in the sky are something that you would imagine seeing in a modern air-battle – but not something that would take place half a millennium ago!
A few years later, in 1566, another similar event took place in Basel, Switzerland, but this time it involved black orbs in a sky skirmish above the city. That event was also recorded at the time in the city’s gazette .
Another similar event took place in 1697 in Hamburg, Germany, where the crowd watched two enormous glowing wheels in the sky above the city.
Multiple reports odd phenomena in the skies over major cities my multiple people have to be describing some peculiar event. Unfortunately, there were no cameras available back then to take photos or videos of the events, so newspaper references and drawings are our only evidence. These remain open to the interpretations of many, and also to the various differing descriptions of the eyewitnesses. But nonetheless, something happened in the sky that day.
Very bright sun dogs in Fargo, North Dakota. Also visible are parts of the 22° halo (the arcs passing through each sundog), a sun pillar (the vertical line) and the parhelic circle (the horizontal line).
Frank Johnson has recently made an effort to debunk the Nuremberg event to sky reflections and the ‘sun dog’ lighting effect produced by the Sun, without offering any explanations for the sounds, the crashed objects or the smoke, and merely hypothesizing that these particulars could simply be either the imagination of the people or nothing at all.
Another interpretation claims the whole description could be of a ground battle, with the cylinders being cannon and the spheres being the cannon balls.
Is it possible that the entire event never happened and the newspaper reference was just a joke or at least an exaggeration of peoples reporting? Johnson notes that the broadsheets of the time, “contained the news of the weird or violent, and they had no problem stretching the truth to sell a few copies”.
When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Of course, all have not been eliminated here, but equally a terrestrial explanation is yet to have been found. The reporting of the event so resembles what you would expect from a sky battle of modern times that explanations of a battle between visiting aliens or even some kind of time shifting event remain on the table.
It is up to you to choose what to believe, but use the evidence and take it further, and above all investigate to find the truth.

“I think they are studying us. I don’t know what they really want.”
What kind of psychic says he knows for certain that extraterrestrials have been secretly watching humans for thousands of years … yet can’t tell us what they want? Uri Geller, of course! The Sultan of Spoon Bending has moved on from claiming to influence sports games and election results to warning that aliens are finally going to make themselves visible to us after studying humans from hidden locations.
“But I think they are preparing us for contact for the Steven Spielberg scenario of landing and it’s going to be spectacular. They will probably land on the White House lawn or somewhere. All our science fiction films about alien encounter will come true.”
Would Spielberg have an alien ship land on the White House lawn? Based on how his latest film is doing, he wouldn’t have them do a dance number as they exited the ship. In an interview with The Sun Online, Geller has expanded his earlier statements that ETs have been watching us for 50 years and now says they’ve been patiently observing for thousands. One would think Geller should have more accurate numbers since he has often claimed he received his psychic powers from aliens … although under hypnosis he once claimed he IS an ET sent here from another solar system. Whatever the case, he’s never been known to do anything as spectacular as bending spoons, so perhaps that’s what we should be prepared for the ETs to do on the White House lawn.
“There is no doubt in my mind that they are gentle and I’ll tell you why – if they weren’t we would have been destroyed a long time ago. Their ability to move in such erratic ways has never been seen before. It’s simply unbelievable. I think the Pentagon know much more but they’re not telling us.”
Geller conveniently piggybacks onto the Tic Tac UFO accounts with his comment about “their ability to move his such erratic ways.” However, to accuse the Pentagon of knowing more than they’re telling us conveniently sidesteps that fact that psychic Geller should also know more than he’s telling us … probably more than the Pentagon knows if he’s really an ET and/or a psychic. Is it any wonder why the late James Randi was so skeptical of Geller?
Will the aliens tell us how to bend spoons?
At this point, it doesn’t take a psychic to figure out what comes next. No, not an exact date of the spectacular arrival of the ETs – the best Geller can do is say “60 to 75 years it’s going to happen.” What Geller reveals next to The Sun Online is what he’s plugging – a new book on how anyone can use their own psychic powers to obtain “health, wealth, success and peace of mind.”
Sorry, Uri, we’d rather know when the aliens are coming and what kind of spoons they’ll be bending.
While the U.S. government is attempting to pass legislation to develop a UFO/UAP department in the Pentagon, with one of its responsibilities being to reverse-engineer crashed or captured unidentified aerial phenomena, a professor at California’s Stanford University claims he’s already been studying UAP materials for year. Not only that, he’s done extensive research on the brains of people who have had UFO encounters and has some interesting insights … and he’s the researcher whoproved the famous 6-inch Atacama skeleton was not an alien but a premature human.
“It was on the front page of just about every major newspaper. What’s more appealing or clickbait than ‘Stanford professor sequences alien baby’?”
Well, we hope Dr. Gary Nolan’s current research is not ‘clickbait’ but actual analysis of UFO materials and humans (including military pilots) claiming to have UFO encounters … some of whom suffered serious health issues as a result and a few who died. In a wide-ranging interview with Vice’s Motherboard, Dr. Nolan starts by revealing that after his review of the Atacama ‘alien’, he was contacted by the CIA to analyze about 100 patients, mostly “defense or governmental personnel or people working in the aerospace industry,” who had UFO encounters.
“A reasonable subset of them had claimed to have seen UAPs and some claimed to be close to things that got them sick. Let me show you the MRIs of the brains of some of these people.”
The MRIs (some can be seen here) revealed damage in the middle of the basal ganglia – an area responsible for motor control and other core brain functions … including intuition. Nolan said the damage should have killed these people, yet they were alive. He obtained MRIs of some prior to their encounters and they had the damage, so they were most likely born with it.
“These are all so called high-functioning people. They’re pilots who are making split second decisions, intelligence officers in the field, etc.”
Nolan compared these injuries to those who suffered from Havana syndrome, but in this case a quarter of them died after their UFO exposure. One of the patients had their encounter on the Skinwalker Ranch and their brain damage was so extensive, Nolan attributed it not to a UAP but a weapon or a massive electric transformer. Nolan resisted offering private thoughts or conclusions on what these patients were suffering from. However, he was more open when the questions turned to UAP materials.
“One of the materials from the so called Ubatuba event [a UAP event in Brazil], has extraordinarily altered isotope ratios of magnesium. It was interesting because another piece from the same event was analyzed in the same instrument at the same time. This is an extraordinarily sensitive instrument called a nanoSIMS – Secondary Ion Mass Spec. It had perfectly correct isotope ratios for what you would expect for magnesium found anywhere on Earth. Meanwhile, the other one was just way off. Like 30 percent off the ratios. The problem is there’s no good reason humans have for altering the isotope ratios of a simple metal like magnesium.”
The Ubatuba event occurred in 1957 – a 30-pound object fell from the sky and was thought to be magnesium. If it came from a spaceship, Nolan wonders why it was dropped. Was it having problems? Did it need to shed weight? Was it a fuel that was spent? Nolan says he’s analyzed 10 or 12 similar objects from UFO encounters and found that “two seem to be not playing by our rules.” What that means is “they have altered isotope ratios” that can’t be explained by conventional means.
Could humans be altering the isotopes in these strange objects for unknown purposes? Nolon speculates that is possible, but proving it requires getting down to the atomic level – possibly with a super quantum interference device (SQUID) – but neither his budget nor the budgets of the groups analyzing UFO/UAP encounters have that kind of funding … yet.
Let’s hope we hear more from Dr. Gary Nolan – a real scientist studying UFOs and people claiming to have UFO encounters.

UFO Landing Ring Near Great Pyramids, Egypt, UFO Sighting News.
Date of discovery: Dec 2021 Location of discovery: Egypt
Google map coordinates: 27°34'41"N 32°56'42"E
There is a huge ring in the mountains in Egypt, you know...the kind of rings that are left in farmers fields after a UFO lands in it. That kind of ring. The ring measures 1.6km across and looks worn as if the UFO had sat there for a very long time. There is also a thick trail going down to the lower ground area, and it looks like it was used to exit and enter the UFO that was landed there. The ring sits 300km from the the Great Pyramids and may have been the resting location of a UFO that was responsible for helping to build the pyramids themselves. Even with todays technology and machine, we could not and have never built anything like it. This ring is 100% proof that aliens helped build the Great Pyramids in ancient Egypt.
A glitch in the Matrix: A still raven recorded in the sky
A glitch in the Matrix: A still raven recorded in the sky
Morning temperatures in New Mexico may fall below freezing, but a strange incident has occurred that apparently has no explanation. A family was baffled after seeing a seemingly motionless crow in the air on their way to school. Kayleen Bowman shared a video on Facebook that shows a black crow suspended in the sky near some electric cables in Gallump, New Mexico, USA. UU. Throughout the 15-second video, the object suspended in the sky has a striking similarity to a Crow, which clearly does not move a single centimeter.
“The other morning, Jay was taking Lilly to school,” Kayleen wrote. “Lilly said: ‘Look, the bird is frozen!’ Jay stopped the vehicle to see what he meant. “They saw this crow ‘frozen’ in the sky. It seems he was in the middle of beating his wings. Jay said you could see the beak moving. This still stuns me. What you think?”
Temperatures in New Mexico drop to -15 ° C in the morning at this time of year. But for a bird to remain motionless in the air defies the laws of gravity. When Kayleen showed the video to his friends. They were surprised and one compared the strange moment as “a glitch in the Matrix. ” They even told her that she must have thrown a stone at the bird to see if it was alive.
A study by Standford University explains that birds can remain motionless in the air as long as they fly into the wind at a speed equal to that of the wind. But as we can see, not a single feather of the raven moves, which clearly indicate. Tthat it was not motionless due to the wind speed.
Gitch in the matrix caused a motionless crow?
So, if we rule out that it is a bird held in the sky, the only possibility is that it is a glitch in the Matrix. There are many who ensure that our descendants will have the immense technological power. Enough to create complex simulations of their ancestors in which everything seems real, including the conscience of the characters. Posthumans will have such easy access to these simulations that they can build as many as they wish, far exceeding the number of royal ancestors. Therefore, since the probability that any of us is a simulated character is much greater than that of being a real ancestor, so we can conclude that we almost certainly live in a simulation.
In the Matrix movie, there were flaws like the déjà vu that offered signs of the true nature of the simulation. Interestingly, the idea has almost become a popular meme in social networks and conspiracy forums. Where users share inexplicable events that have happened to them and that they interpret as problems in Matrix. Although some physicists think that the detection of certain unnatural anomalies, such as an asymmetry in cosmic rays, could reveal to us that the universe is a montage. The idea is that, if the computational power of the post-human limited. Their simulation would linked to certain simplifications that would break the space-time continuum into discrete points.
We could also hack the source code. Some scientists and philosophers have been discussing for years about the call “fine-tuning of the universe. How certain fundamental physical constants seem to have adequate values for the cosmos to exist, and we with it. As cosmologist Max Tegmark said, “If I were a character in a computer game. I would also discover that the rules seemed completely rigid and mathematical. ” But the answer to this great question could be more disturbing than we think. According to the philosopher David Chalmers, our creator could “just a teenage hacker in the next universe whose mother is calling him for dinner. Hopefully it never occurs to him to shut down the simulation.
What do you think about the motionless crow? Is it a glitch in the Matrix? Or do you have another explanation?
Earth scientists at the turn of the century, Gavin Schmidt among them, were enthralled by a 56-million-year-old segment of geologic history known as the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM). What most intrigued them was its resemblance to our own time: Carbon levels spiked, temperatures soared, ecosystems toppled. At professional workshops, experts tried to guess what natural processes could have triggered such severe global warming. At the dinner parties that followed, they indulged in less conventional speculation.
During one such affair, Schmidt, now the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, couldn’t resist the comparison. If modern climate change — unambiguously the product of human industry — and the PETM are so alike, he mused, “Wouldn’t it be funny if it was the same cause?” His colleagues were charmed by the implication. An ancient race of intelligent, fossil-fueled… chickens? Lemurs? “But,” he says, “nobody took it seriously, obviously.” Until, nearly two decades later, he took it seriously himself.
One day in 2017, Schmidt received a visit from Adam Frank, a University of Rochester astrophysicist seeking insight into whether civilizations on other planets would inevitably alter their climates like we have. Truth be told, Frank expected his alien conjecture to come across as mildly outlandish.
He was surprised when Schmidt interrupted with an even stranger idea, one he’d been incubating for years: “What makes you so sure we’re the first civilization on this planet?”
Worlds Within
One thing nearly all human creations have in common is that, geologically speaking, they’ll be gone in no time. Pyramids, pavement, temples and toasters — eroding away, soon to be buried and ground to dust beneath shifting tectonic plates. The oldest expansive patch of surface is the Negev Desert in southern Israel, and it dates back a mere 1.8 million years. Once we disappear, it won’t take Earth long to scrub out the facade human civilization has built upon its surface. And the fossil record is so sporadic that a species as short-lived as us (at least so far) might never find a place in it.
How, then, would observers in the distant future know we were here? If the direct evidence of our existence is bound for oblivion, will anything remain to tip them off? It’s a short step from these tantalizing questions to the one Schmidt posed to Frank: What if we are the future observers, discounting some prehistoric predecessor that ruled the world in long, long ago?
Frank’s mind whirled as he considered. A devotee of the cosmos, he felt suddenly dazed by the mind-boggling immensity of what lay beneath, rather than above, him. “You’re looking at Earth’s past as if it were another world,” he says. At first glance the answer seems self-evident — surely we would know if another species had colonized the globe like Homo sapiens did. Or, he now wondered, would we?
Take the analogy where the planet’s entire history is compressed into a single day: Complex life emerged about three hours ago; the industrial era has lasted only a few thousandths of a second. Given how rapidly we are rendering our home uninhabitable, some researchers think the average lifespan of advanced civilizations may be just a handful of centuries. If that’s true, the past few hundred million years could hide any number of industrial periods.
Humanity’s Technosignature
In the months after that conversation, Frank and Schmidt crafted what seems to be the first thorough scholarly response to the possibility of a pre-human civilization on Earth. Even sci-fi has mostly neglected the idea. One 1970s episode of Doctor Who, however, stars intelligent reptilians, awakened by nuclear testing after 400 million years of hibernation. In homage to those fictional forebears, the scientists dubbed their thought experiment the “Silurian hypothesis.”
Both scientists are quick to explain that they don’t actually believe in the hypothesis. There isn’t the slightest evidence for it. The point, as Frank puts it, is that “the question is an important one, and deserves to be answered with acuity,” not dismissed out of hand. Moreover, he says, “you can’t know until you look, and you can’t look until you know what to look for.” To see what traces an industrial civilization might leave behind, they start with the only one we’re aware of.
Our seemingly indelible mark on this planet will someday be reduced to a thin layer of rock, composed of the eclectic materials with which we’ve constructed the human world. Collectively they will make up our “technosignature,” the unique imprint that accompanies every technological species. For example, the sediment from our current geological epoch, the Anthropocene, will likely contain abnormal amounts of nitrogen from fertilizer, and rare-earth elements from electronics. Even more telling, it may harbor veins of substances that don’t occur naturally, like chlorofluorocarbons, plastics and manufactured steroids. (In fact, that’s the premise of an ominous short story Schmidt wrote to accompany the study.)
Of course, there’s no reason every civilization must unfold in the same way. Some may never avail themselves of plastic. But they must share certain universal features. Probably they would disperse indicator species, like mice and rats in our case, in their travels. And Schmidt notes that even aliens can’t violate the laws of physics: “Does every technological species need energy? Yes, so where does the energy come from?”
We humans conquered our planet with the help of combustion, and it seems reasonable to bet that ascendant life forms everywhere do the same. It’s just intuitive, Frank says: “There's always biomass, and you can always set biomass on fire.” For a long time we’ve founded our industry on fossil fuels, and, climatic consequences aside, that will leave a geological footprint. Carbon occurs in three types, called isotopes. When we burn the tissues of long-dead creatures, we change the ratio of isotopes in the atmosphere, a shift known as the Suess effect. Scientists have noted similar ratios in events like the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, and if anyone is looking in another 50 million years, they should have no trouble seeing it in the Anthropocene.
Anyone Out There?
So what about the PETM? Did those fumes originate in the engines of primeval jalopies? Unlikely. The carbon surge of that period was far more gradual than the one that began with our Industrial Revolution. The same is true of other comparable events in the distant past; geologists have yet to find anything as abrupt as the Anthropocene. That said, the brevity may be the problem — it can be incredibly difficult to make out short intervals in the rock record, as well as at the astronomical level. Which brings us to the Fermi paradox.
If the universe is so vast, with so many livable planets, why haven’t we found any hint of intelligent life? That’s what puzzled the Italian physicist Enrico Fermi. One solution is that plenty of civilizations have arisen, but they fizzle out so quickly that few exist at any given moment. Time, like space, is enormous, and humans may not overlap with many other extraterrestrial world-builders, reducing our chance of discovering any. Then there’s a more optimistic scenario: They may evade our notice not because they died off but because they mastered the art of sustainability, making their technosignatures less conspicuous.
That said, Frank is skeptical that a technological species could ever become undetectable — subtle, certainly, but not invisible. To build solar panels, you need raw materials; to acquire those materials, you need some other form of energy. As for wind power, recent research suggests that even if we raised enough turbines to power the planet, they too would contribute to short-term warming. This, Frank says, demonstrates at global scale the principle that there is no free lunch: “You cannot build a world-girdling civilization and not get some kind of feedback.”
The Search (and Fight) For Life
Since publishing the Silurian hypothesis, the authors have predictably attracted as many eccentrics as academics. “Everybody and their dog who has an ancient aliens podcast wanted to interview us,” Schmidt says. Both Schmidt and Frank realize the prospect of earlier earthlings is a seductive one. But regardless of who latches onto their hypothesis, they still see meaningful scientific lessons in their research.
For one, they hope it will inspire geologists looking in (and astrobiologists looking out) to hone their methods of detection. To identify a bygone civilization, they argue, scientists must search for a broad range of signals at once, everything from carbon fluctuations to synthetic chemicals. And they’ll need to pinpoint the rise and fall of these signals, given the importance of timing in distinguishing natural and industrial causes.
The hypothesis also bears on the famous Drake equation, used for calculating the number of active civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy. The equation assumes at most one civilization per inhabitable planet; an increase in that estimate could radically change its output, or the probability that we have intelligent galactic neighbors.
Perhaps most importantly, Frank and Schmidt’s work represents a call to action, and humility. It could be that both potential solutions to the Fermi paradox — extinction and technological transcendence — are possible. If so, we have a choice: “Are we going to live sustainably, or are we going to keep making a mess?” Schmidt wonders. “The louder we are in the cosmos, the more temporary we’re going to be.” Through one door, humans achieve a lasting place in the universe. Through the other we exit, leaving only a trail of cataclysmic breadcrumbs as a warning for the next big-brained saps to find — or overlook.
Alien Abductee Travis Walton And His Terrifying Experience
Alien Abductee Travis Walton And His Terrifying Experience
Perhaps one of the most famous alien abduction stories is that of Travis Walton. He claims he has had an alien encounter on November 5th, 1975. He was 22 at the time.
He was working with a logging crew of seven men at the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Arizona. The crew were heading home after work in their pickup truck when they saw strange bright lights coming through the trees.
As their truck rolled slowly along the road, they stopped when they reached a portion of trees where the light was so bright it looked like the sunset, but the sun had set a half an hour before.
The men suddenly became aware that what they were witnessing was a UFO. The driver rolled to a stop on the side of the road, along the edge of the trees for a better look.
He shut off the engine as the mesmerized men observed a golden-colored object hovering twenty feet above the ground through the trees. Walton was suddenly seized with an overwhelming desire to see the spacecraft up close before it flew away, so he got out of the truck and blazingly walked up to it.
The ground was vibrating under his feet. He stood within feet of the craft, basking in its glow.
Looking up at the golden disc, Travis stood in awe of it and wondered what mysteries it held. As his mind expanded on the possibilities, the craft began to move oddly and erratically, his friends screamed at Walton to get away from it.
Travis started to move away from the craft when suddenly he felt a tremendous electrifying shock hit him and pass throughout his body. The energy lifted his body above the ground and then hurled him ten feet through the air. When his body hit the ground he felt numb all over.
What The Others Witnessed
What Walton’s friends witnessed was a blast of blinding greenish colored light coming from the aircraft that suddenly hit and lifted his body in the air. His back was arched, his legs and arms outstretched.
He was thrown through the air like a rag doll and landed on the ground in a lifeless heap. His friends thought he was dead because he was not moving. In fear, the crew left Travis behind and went for help.
The men went to the sheriff and told them what happened. The sheriff believed them and sent out a search party after Travis later that night but Walton was gone. His disappearance made news. Search dogs, airplanes, and trackers could not locate the logger. After four days they gave up.
A Terrifying Experience
When Walton woke up, he was on a flat surface on his back. At first he thought he was in a hospital, but when his eyes began to adjust to his surroundings, he realized he was in the alien aircraft.
Three small figures in orange-colored surgical coats stood over him. The strange entities were studying him closely. He said they were about five feet tall with very pale and hairless skin, no fingernails, and had small human-like features, but their eyes and heads seemed oddly large.
Terrified, Travis struck out at one of the aliens with his arm, although it was ineffectual in his weakened state. He then managed to get off of the examining table and moved away from the prying eyes and had nowhere to go.
He was backed up against the wall of the craft ready to defend himself as the creatures moved in on him. While Walton screamed at the aliens and tried to defend himself, they never spoke.
Walton claims the aliens suddenly left the room after his outburst and he wondered through the spacecraft looking for an escape. Eventually, he met up with a tall looking human in a blue space-like suit with a clear helmet.
The stranger never spoke, but took him to another place where two more of these human-looking people were waiting. The other humans never spoke but carefully escorted Travis to an examining table.
He felt powerless as they gently pushed him back on the table and placed a mask over his face. He immediately fell unconscious. When he woke up again, he was laying on the side of a road near Heber, Arizona over thirty miles away from the abduction sight. The craft was hovering over him, then suddenly shot out of sight.
He was gone for five days and was in shock. The story made headlines, and soon a movie about his experience was made (Fire in the Sky).
Still, there were skeptics who wanted to know the truth. Next, Walton was polygraphed by expert, John J. McCarthy, who claims that Walton failed the exam, and felt that Travis had perpetrated a hoax. But McCathy’s outdated methods were called into question.
Travis later took two more polygraphs and passed them. Still, the old polygraph seemed to overshadow him, leading some to believe that he was lying about his ordeal. Walton went on to write the book, “The Walton Experience” which was adapted into the film, “Fire in the Sky.” He has been a guest on Larry King Live and also a guest of several UFO conventions.
History's First UFO Abduction in 1572? The Strange and Mysterious Tale of Hans Buchmann
History's First UFO Abduction in 1572? The Strange and Mysterious Tale of Hans Buchmann
November 15, 1572.
The weather in Kriesbuhl, a small picturesque farming village in the foothills of the Swiss Alps is cold, even for that time of year, but clear.
On that day, a Saturday, Hans Buchmann, an impoverished peasant farmer, has a debt to pay. He owes sixteen florins, roughly the equivalent of $600 in today’s money, to a creditor in the nearby market town of Sempach. Hans has been borrowing heavily against his small plot of land to make ends meet and provide for his family.
But no matter how much Hans borrows, the money seems to always disappear and his family remains impoverished.
Lucky for him this fall’s crop has been quite lucrative and he’s saved up the money to pay off his creditor. Now in the crisp early morning sunlight Hans is preparing to walk the four miles to Sempach to pay off his debts. Unfortunately, for Hans, the road from Kriesbuhl to Sempach is mostly uphill and through wooded terrain, but in November of 1572, though the temperatures have been falling steadily over the last several days, no snow has yet fallen on the foothills of the Swiss Alps.
It is a journey that should take just under two hours each way, but Hans Buchman won’t return home for nearly three months.
Hans bundles up against the cold, putting on his woolen overcoat hat and mittens before grabbing his walking stick and departing. Perhaps out of a sense of shame over the debts that he’s incurred, or perhaps because he has other intentions entirely, Hans leaves his house without telling either his wife, or two teenage sons, exactly where he’s going…
Two weeks later, Hans Buchman, dirty and disheveled, and suffering from a splitting headache, awakes to find himself curled up against a stone wall in an alleyway in a strange and unknown city.
His hat, mittens, overcoat and walking stick are nowhere to be seen and he is clothed in nothing more than a ragged shirt and loose fitting pants. Clothes that seem to have once belonged to someone else.
He has no idea where he is. He runs out into the street inquiring of everyone who passes by in German, “Where am I? What city is this?”
But no one responds. Everyone simply walks by this dirty, unkempt madman, supposing Buchmann to be nothing more than some drunken foreign beggar, the kind that is very commonplace in this cosmopolitan early modern city.
It is St. Andrew’s Day, some two weeks after November 15, 1572 and hundreds of men, women and children are out in the streets, as church bells ring and call the faithful to mass.
Hans sees a man dressed in a soldier’s uniform, not unlike those Hans has seen worn by soldiers in his native Sempach. This soldier seems to be a man of authority, one of the many uniformed, heavily armed men that appear to dwell in this strange and overcrowded city.
“Sir,” Hans shouts in German as he runs up to the soldier, “my name is Hans Buchmann. I was traveling to my native city of Sempach but seemed to have lost my way. What city is this?”
The soldier responds in perfect German, “This is Milan and you are a long way from Sempach.”
1500's Milan
Hans Buchmann, somehow, has ended up over 150 miles from home. He had set out, two weeks ago, on a two hour’s journey from his native village of Kriesbuhl, a simple walk of four miles he had undertaken perhaps hundreds of times before, and ended up on the other side of the Alps in Italy, over a five days journey from his native village.
He has no idea how he got there.
The soldier who answered Hans’ desperate question, is as it turned out, Swiss and he is one of the many thousands of foreign mercenaries who regularly come to Milan to prop up that city’s defenses during the ongoing and interminable wars between the independent Italian city-states.
This soldier, along with other Swiss soldiers of fortune, helps Hans return home. For Hans the journey home in winter, over high snow covered mountain passes is long and arduous. It takes weeks for Hans Buchmann to reach Kriesbuhl. By the time he reaches the doorstep of his farmhouse it is already the first week of February 1573.
In the interim, Hans’ two sons had set out along the same overland trail as Hans on the way to Sempach in search of their missing father. They found Hans’ coat, hat, mittens and walking stick lying by the roadside at the edge of a forest outside of town, but upon reaching Sempach and inquiring of as many locals as they could find as to the possible whereabouts of their father, no one reported having seen him in at least two weeks.
Some residents of Sempach did report that they had seen Hans enter the town on the afternoon of November 15, 1572 and that he had stopped at a local tavern to have a drink, but after that the trail had gone cold.
During the sixteenth century it was common for towns and cities in central Europe to have a local chronicler, who would record events for posterity in a town chronicle, that would be kept in city record offices. It appears that when Hans Buchmann, did eventually return home, and told his fantastical tale of having ended up, by means unknown over 150 miles away in Milan, Italy that he was questioned by both a chronicler and a magistrate from the nearby German city of Rothenburg.
Original Chronicle from 1573
Hans' tale is so improbable that, suspecting some form of foul play or subterfuge on the part of the debtor, the magistrate demands a full investigation into the matter and requests that Hans Buchmann present himself at the Rothenburg police station at once.
Under intense questioning by the magistrate, as recorded in the Rothenburg city chronicle for the year 1573, Hans Buchmann admitted that he had first set out on his journey to Sempach carrying sixteen florins because he owed the money to a man named Hans Schiirmann the proprietor of the Romerswill Inn in Sempach
Sempach Romerswill Inn
Though the historical record is unclear as to whether or not Hans Buchmann ever explicitly stated what he exactly owed the money for, it would appear that the sixteen florins may have been some sort of drinking debt that he owed, like a bar tab gone out of control, since a 16th century inn was more akin to a modern tavern or dive bar rather than a sort of hotel.
Hans Buchmann said that he stopped at Schiirman’s home but that Schiirman was not there, and that unable to pay his debts at that moment, he then went to another local inn to have a drink.
It is at this point that Hans Buchmann’s story begins to get a little sketchy to say the least. Buchmann admitted to drinking on the day of his disappearance, but he claimed he couldn’t remember exactly how much though he stated to the magistrate that, “it was just a little.”
He claimed that he left the unnamed tavern a few hours later, just before sunset and decided to set off on his way home figuring that he would pay his debt back to Schiirman on another, later date, when the proprietor of the Romerswill Inn was at home.
Hans Bruchmann told the magistrate and chronicler of Rothenburg that the last thing he could remember while walking along a wooded trail on the outskirts of Sempach was hearing a loud and insistent buzzing sound. He said that he could recall looking up into the sky and seeing a bright light while being completely enveloped by a buzzing sound like a swarm of bees and lifted up into the night sky towards the light.
The next thing that Hans said he could remember was waking up in an alleyway in Milan with a pounding headache two weeks later and over one-hundred and fifty miles away.
In her book on European folklore surrounding the holiday season entitled The Old Magic of Christmas (Llewellyn Publications 2013) author, historian and folklorist Linda Raedisch states of Hans Buchmann, “(W)hen he was first set upon, he thought he was under attack by a swarm of bees, but the buzzing then revealed itself into a terrible scraping of bows on fiddle strings. We don’t know what really happened to Hans...but it is interesting that he should have mentioned how the buzzing of bees preceded his being lifted up and carried above the treetops.” (Raedisch 12)
Buzzing, noise and lights would indicate, perhaps the existence of some sort of craft, or motor, something that would have been completely unknown to a peasant farmer from the Swiss Alps in the year 1572.
It is also interesting to note that the night sky was extremely active with intriguing celestial phenomena at the time of Hans Buchmann’s supposed disappearance. In fact, only four days prior on November 11, 1572, Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe had become the first person in history to witness a supernova. Brahe, using crude astronomical instruments, had observed and recorded an enormous explosion in the night sky, what he incorrectly deemed the “birth” of a new star in the constellation Cassiopeia. In reality, what Brahe had seen, pretty much with his naked eye alone, was the death of a star, an explosion so enormous that it could easily be seen from billions of lightyears away. The type of celestial event that would have been readily visible to any extraterrestrial civilization anywhere in our galaxy.
Tycho Brahe's sketch of a Supernova
So, with all this talk of bright lights, buzzing and stars exploding in outer space was Hans Bruchmann the unsuspecting victim of history’s first ever verifiably recorded alien abduction?
Maybe, but maybe not.
In her book historian and folklorist Raedisch readily admits, “We don’t really know what happened to Hans...just before his disappearance he had borrowed some money without asking, so he had plenty of reason to fabricate the tale.” (Raedisch 12)
If his debt, was in fact a drinking debt, or if he never had the money to even pay back the debt in the first place, maybe he just conveniently decided to make himself disappear and then return once he supposed enough time had elapsed to allow him to think up a fanciful cover story and protect him from debtor’s prison.
Perhaps, Hans Buchmann simply went on a two week long drinking binge and wandered into Milan, or maybe, just maybe he ended up so far away from home via otherworldly means.
Hans Buchmann may have been history’s first documented victim of alien abduction, or he may simply have been a man filled with shame, who attempted to hide the truth about his debts and his addiction from his family. History will never know for sure...
Having read the heading above, you may very well be wondering what I’m talking about. Well, I’ll tell you: Porton Down, a highly secure facility in Wiltshire, England, and that is steeped in secrecy. And, there are several UFO connections to the place. With that said, here’s some background on the place. The BBC say: “Porton Down was set up in 1916. It was a center designed to test chemical and biological weapons. Nerve gases such as Sarin and CS gas were tested on volunteer servicemen. Servicemen were offered around £2 and three days leave as an incentive to take part in tests. Very few servicemen knew what they were volunteering for and some were even told it was research into the cure for the common cold. In 1953 it is alleged that serviceman Ronald Maddison died after taking part in a Sarin gas experiment. In 1962, one of Porton Down’s own scientists, Geoffrey Bacon died of the plague. Since the end of WWII, 20,000 people have taken part in experiments at Porton Down.” LSD was tested at Porton Down, too. On military personnel, no less. And as the Guardian newspaper stated in 2005: “Fifty years ago, Eric Gow had a baffling and unexplained experience. As a 19-year-old sailor, he remembers going to a clandestine military establishment, where he was given something to drink in a sherry glass and experienced vivid hallucinations. Other servicemen also remember tripping: one thought he was seeing tigers jumping out of a wall, while another recalls faces ‘with eyes running down their cheeks, Salvador Dalí-style.’ Mr. Gow and another serviceman had volunteered to take part in what they thought was research to find a cure for the common cold. Mr. Gow felt that the government had never explained what happened to him. But now he has received an official admission for the first time, confirmed last night, that the intelligence agency MI6 tested LSD on servicemen.”

Dead aliens on ice at Porton Down?
Now, onto the UFO angle. In January 1974, on the Berwyn Mountains in Wales, U.K., something strange happened. Some say it was the crash of a UFO. Others suggest a secret experiment involving the controlling of ball lightning and utilizing at as a weapon. What about that UFO angle and the Porton Down connection? Back in 1996, the late Tony Dodd (a police officer and UFO researcher) met with a man who used the name of James Prescott. “I cannot named my unit or barracks, as they are still operational,” Prescott told Dodd. Prescott did, though, admit that his base at the time was situated in the south-west of England, which – as the crow flies – may have placed his installation not too far from Porton Down. In a very baffling way – and although the incident on the Berwyn Mountains occurred on January 23, 1974 – Prescott and his colleagues were ordered to be on “stand-by at short notice” on January 18. That was five daysbefore the Berwyns were briefly highlighted in the nation’s newspapers. Prescott got right into the heart of the story: “We then received orders to proceed with speed towards North Wales. We were halted in Chester in readiness for a military exercise we believed was about to take place. On 20 January, the communication to us was ‘hot.’ At approximately 20:13 hours we received orders to proceed to Llangollen in North Wales and to wait at that point.”
According to Prescott there was a huge amount of “”ground and aircraft activity” over and around those huge mountains – three days before the ground shook those little old villages at the foot of the mountains. Prescott said that on that same night he and his colleagues were given further orders: “We, that is myself and four others, were ordered to go to Llandderfel and were under strict orders not to stop for any civilians” claimed Prescott. On arriving at Llandderfel – a small, Welsh village – they could see soldiers racing around. Senior officers were barking orders here, there and everywhere. Aircraft were zooming across the star-filled sky. And all of this was against a background of overwhelming darkness. Prescott and his colleagues were ordered to haul a pair of large, wooden boxes onto the back of their truck, which they did in rapid-fire time. According to Prescott: “We set off with our cargo and during the journey we stopped to get a drink. We were immediately approached by a man in civilian clothes, who produced an I.D. card and ordered us to keep moving, and not to stop until we reached our destination.”

The U.K.’s Ministry of Defense
Matters got really weird, as Prescott explained to Dodd: “We were at this time warned not to open the boxes, but to proceed to Porton Down and deliver the boxes. Once inside, the boxes were opened by staff at the facility in our presence. We were shocked to see two creatures which had been placed inside decontamination suits. When the suits were fully opened it was obvious the creatures were clearly not of this world and, when examined, were found to be dead. What I saw in the boxes that day made me change my whole concept of life. The bodies were about five to six feet tall, humanoid in shape, but so thin they looked almost skeletal with a covering skin. Although I did not see a craft at the scene of the recovery, I was informed that a large craft had crashed and was recovered by other military units. Sometime later we joined up with the other elements of our unit, who informed us that they had also transported bodies of ‘alien beings’ to Porton Down, but said that their cargo was still alive.”
Moving on, but still on the same story, there was a man named Bob Bolton, who I met in the English city of Norwich. He told me of his recollections concerning the Porton Down/James Prescott affair: “I spent thirty years in the Royal Air Force as an aircraft engineer. I had various postings, including at Akrotiri in Cyprus, RAF Honnington, and at RAF Valley in North Wales from 1971 to 1974. My wife and her family came from Corwen. At the time that the thing on the Berwyns happened, they lived up on the side of the mountain and her mom still lives there to this day. Corwen is part of the Berwyn range. From where their house is, if you walk up the path that goes behind the houses up and onto the top of the mountains, you’re talking perhaps a mile and a quarter away from where it all occurred; so it’s not very far away at all.
“She still remembers what happened on the night of 23 January. She said to me when I spoke to her about it just recently: ‘I saw aircraft and heard aircraft shot down during the Blitz and it was like an aircraft coming down, but the sound was louder, bigger, heavier that anything you could imagine to do with an aircraft.’ They didn’t know what it was. They heard the noise first of all and ran out into the road. They weren’t the only ones: all their neighbors ran out as well. It got louder and louder and louder and they couldn’t see anything in the sky but then they felt the impact where the houses shook and she had things fall off the mantle-piece in the house. “It was my wife’s dad, who told me the story about bodies being found on the mountain. His name was Harold Smith. But everyone called him Mick. He had a full-time job with Vauxhall at Elsmere Port; he was a local councilor and was also a part-time Sub-Fire Officer at Corwen. One day we got talking and got on to the subject of UFOs and he said to me: ‘Oh, well, you obviously don’t know about the incident up on the Berwyn Mountains.’
“I first heard the story from him around 1976. At that time he only told me that bodies had been brought down from the mountain and didn’t say anything more. Nothing about who brought them down or where they were taken. But from 1979 to 1982 I was posted to Germany and Mick and my wife’s mother came out to stay for a month and it was here that he told us a lot more. I remember that the information that he told us had apparently come from another person in the North Wales Fire Service whose son was in the Army. But it’s not surprising that he would have been told: Mick was a well-respected man and knew people throughout the North Wales Fire Service including at Bala and Wrexham. Mick told me that while the police weren’t involved, the Army was – heavily. I can’t give you an exact date when they visited and he told us this, but it was definitely between 1979 and 1982. He said that there were definitely [trucks] from Porton Down at the scene; that there was a lozenge-shaped object on the mountainside; and that bodies were taken off the mountain and driven to Porton. And to this day, his wife can also confirm that Mick told her the story about Porton Down and bodies too – either in the late 1970s or the early 1980s. I do remember Mick saying that when he had first told me this story in 1976, he didn’t know that it was the Army who had taken the bodies off the mountain and he didn’t know at the time that they’d been taken to Porton Down. So he must have learned that between 1976 and when he came to see us in Germany.”

Now, onto the Porton Down connection to the famous Rendlesham Forest “UFO landing” incident of December 1980 and the late Georgina Bruni, who wrote a book on the Rendlesham case titled You Can’t Tell the People. I first met Georgina in 1997. At the time, Georgina was already working on her Rendlesham book, You Can’t Tell the People. It was published in November 2000. Back in the late 1990s, Georgina and I were two of a very small group of people in the U.K.-based UFO community who were actively and regularly investigating the UFO-Porton Down links. As a result of this, we agreed to quietly and carefully share our data – including any and all new data as it came along – with each other. And that’s how I came to become a recipient of Georgina’s information on the Rendlesham story. As the research for her book advanced, Georgina discovered that in late December 1980 a team from Porton Down was dispatched into the heart of Rendlesham Forest. Dressed in full-body protection (hazmat) outfits, they entered into the woods on a classified operation. It was assumed among those in the UFO research community who Georgina had confided in, that the Porton Down team was there to try and determine what happened over the course of those three nights and to see if there were any chemical or biological hazards still present. So far, the Rendlesham-Porton Down issue has not developed much further. But, maybe one day…
Mysterious cube shaped object on the dark side of the moon
Mysterious cube shaped object on the dark side of the moon
China's Yutu-2 rover spotted a strange cube-shaped object in Von Kármán crater on the dark side of the moon.
Since the rover is about 80m away from the fuzzy object the rover team is planning to drive over and get a closer look at the object.
Although they are talking about a cube-shaped object, the object seems to consist of two towers. The true nature of the object should be become clearer as the rover gets closer.
SCIENTISTS ARE BUILDING A “BLACK BOX” TO RECORD THE END OF CIVILIZATION
SCIENTISTS ARE BUILDING A “BLACK BOX” TO RECORD THE END OF CIVILIZATION
"IT’S BUILT TO OUTLIVE US ALL."
EARTHSBLACKBOX
Apocalypse Cam
If — or when — human civilization collapses, what will remain? Maybe parts of some cities. Or the Statue of Liberty, a la “Planet of the Apes.” Overall, though, there might not be a lot of evidence left behind about what humanity accomplished — or what resulted in its downfall.
One team of researchers wants to change that. Their solution? A massive, indestructible box that’ll record scientific data to give future civilizations insight on how exactly humanity fell.
The project, dubbed Earth’s Black Box, will be an immense steel monolith installed in a remote location in Tasmania. It’s akin to the black boxes that are designed to survive airplane crashes and provide investigators valuable data on what led to the disaster — except on a planetary scale.
Indestructible Recorder
The project is a collaboration between researchers at the University of Tasmania, marketing agency Clemenger BBDO, and creative agency The Glue Society.
The team is designing the box to record climate data such as atmospheric CO2 levels, sea temperatures, and energy consumption levels. It’ll also gather contextual information like news headlines and social media posts.
“The idea is if the Earth does crash as a result of climate change, this indestructible recording device will be there for whoever’s left to learn from that,” Jim Curtis, the executive creative director at Clemenger BBDO, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
Outlive Humanity
The box itself will be made from three-inch-thick steel and cantilevered off granite. Inside will be a system of Internet-connected storage drives powered by solar panels on the box’s roof.
“It’s built to outlive us all,” Jonathan Kneebone, cofounder of the Glue Society, told ABC. “If the worst does happen, just because the power grids go down, this thing will still be there.
The biggest issue for the team now is how to help future civilizations access the information it contains. After all, they’ll just find a mysterious monolith out in the middle of nowhere — and we know how that worked out for us already.

British oceanographers have closed a decades-in length examination concerning the Bermuda not really settled what is behind the many baffling vanishings in the area.
The secretive 700,000sqm triangle, extending between the tip of Florida, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda, and has been the focal point of public interest for more than 100 years, when reports initially began arising of a surprising measure of wrecks in the area. The New York Times guaranteed somewhere around 50 boats, 20 airplanes, and in excess of 1,000 individuals have capitulated to the Triangle in the course of recent years.
Presently, scientists from the University of Southampton say ships are being sucked into the sea by “rebel waves” more than 30 meters (100ft) in stature, and clarified their hypothesis on the Channel 5 narrative The Bermuda Triangle Enigma.
“There are tempests toward the South and North, which meet up… we’ve estimated waves more than 30 meters. The greater the boat gets, the more harm is done,” Dr Simon Boxall, an oceanographer who drove the review, told The Sun.
While numerous speculations to clarify the vanishings have been drifted about throughout the long term, researchers initially focused on the oddity wave theory when a 18.5 meter rebel wave was estimated in the North Sea by satellites in 1995.
Rebel waves happen when a strangely enormous wave crashes in the untamed ocean. Ordinary rushes of around 12 meters have a breaking strain of 8.5 psi (pounds per square inch). Present day ships are intended to endure around 21 psi, however rebel waves can have a devastating strain of up to 140 psi – enough to bring down even the sturdiest of boats.
For the narrative, Dr. Boxall and his group re-made the mammoth waves utilizing indoor test systems and fabricated a model of the USS Cyclops to see what impact it would have on the huge boat. The Cyclops disappeared in the triangle in 1918 with 309 individuals ready.
“Assuming you can envision rebel waves with tops at one or the flip side, there’s nothing beneath the boat, so it snaps in two. Assuming it occurs, it can soak in a few minutes,” said Boxall.
The latest vanishing was simply last year when a plane conveying four individuals disappeared over the notorious triangle. The gathering had gone through Mother’s Day in Puerto Rico and were flying back to Florida when their twin-prop plane disappeared from radar. The inquiry was ultimately canceled and no bodies were at any point found.
Space Mysteries: Did an unidentified flying object really crash land at a New Mexico ranch in 1947, only to be hushed up by the government?
Did an unidentified flying object really crash land at a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico?

There is a spaceship that looks like a flying saucer in Roswell. Thousands of motorists drive past it every day, and hundreds of people go inside. It’s on North Main Street in this southeastern New Mexico city, its metal skin gleaming as it basks in the glow of the sun. Its neon lighting burns into the retinas of those who view it throughout the evening, and it’s rather hard not to admire. After all, aside from its striking looks, who doesn’t fancy a burger every now and then? That’s right: This spacecraft is one of the city’s McDonald’s restaurants.
So why is the building shaped that way? It’s not that far from the site of a mysterious incident which took place in 1947 — the day when a rancher discovered debris scattered around his sheep pasture, prompting speculation that an unidentified flying object, or UFO, had crashed there.
In June, or possibly early July 1947, William Brazel had woken for a normal day’s work on the J.B. Foster ranch in Lincoln County, New Mexico, 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of Roswell, when he made a shocking discovery. He found on the ranch "a large area of bright wreckage made up of rubber strips, tinfoil, a rather tough paper and sticks," Brazel said in an article published on July 8, 1947, in the Roswell Daily Record.
Brazel hadn’t heard of flying saucers — at least not yet. Sightings, however, were coming in thick and fast around that time. On June 24, pilot Kenneth Arnold claimed to see nine unidentified objects "flying like a saucer would across water" near Mount Rainier, Washington. Arnold estimated that the objects were flying at around 1,200 miles per hour (1,930 kilometers per hour), Arnold was reported as saying in the East Oregonian, but at the time there were no known craft that could reach those speeds. The Air Force also said it had no new experimental planes or guided missiles that would fit such a description, according to a U.S. Department of Defense report. That story became front-page news, and the term "flying saucer was born, despite Arnold describing the flying objects as crescent-shape," according to New Scientist.
The country soon became gripped, as Brazel discovered. By July 7, policemen and astronomers were reportedly being harassed for further reports, this time by people from New York and other eastern states, and that was the day Brazel decided to take action. He hand-delivered a box of accumulated debris, which he’d gathered with the help of his wife and two children, to Sheriff George Wilcox of Roswell, according to Smithsonian Magazine.
All About Space magazine takes you on an awe-inspiring journey through our solar system and beyond, from the amazing technology and spacecraft that enables humanity to venture into orbit, to the complexities of space science.
By now there was talk of a reward for anyone who recovered one of these unidentified flying objects. In the Roswell Daily Chronicle, Brazel is stated to have "whispered kinda confidential-like" that his find may be one of the flying disks, so an equally intrigued Wilcox contacted Colonel William Blanchard, the commanding officer of the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF), who sent agents to the site to gather the remaining material.
What happened next would cement the idea that the debris was the remnants of an alien spacecraft. According to David Clarke’s book "The UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-Life Sightings", published by Bloomsbury in 2012, the RAAF’s public information officer Walter Haut issued a press release on July 8: "The many rumors regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence office of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disk through the cooperation of one of the local ranchers and the sheriff’s office of Chaves County
This was reported in the Roswell Daily Record along with the news that Major Jesse A. Marcel was the group intelligence officer dispatched to the scene. He’d gone with Counter Intelligence Corps officer Sheridan Cavitt, but on his way back took a detour to his own home, whipped out a couple of boxes of debris that he’d popped into the boot of his car and showed it to his 10-year-old son, Jesse Jr. One of the objects was said to have hieroglyphic-like markings, something that stuck in the mind of the young boy, according to a report in The Guardian.
But just as quickly as excitement of the find gathered pace, the Army took swift action in debunking the story. The very next day, shortly after government scientists began to arrive at the scene, it was claimed that the debris was actually from a crashed weather balloon, and Marcel was asked to be pictured at a press conference with the debris allegedly found. And that was that, case closed — or so everyone thought.
But interest began to grow again. In 1978, Nuclear physicist, author and UFO researcher Stanton Friedman interviewed Marcel, who said that the discovery made 31 years earlier was not from this world, and that the government had ordered him to keep quiet. Friedman revisited the incident and sought other witnesses, and his work inspired Charles Berlitz and William Moore to write "The Roswell Incident", published in 1980. Their conclusion was simple: there had been a huge cover-up.
The flying saucer conspiracy begins
Other things were happening in the world at the time. Notably, the sci-fi films "Star Wars" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" had just been released, and — as reported by The Times — studies since have suggested that sightings and belief in UFOs rise when popular films and TV shows make their debut. Nevertheless, testimonies about that day in 1947 were forthcoming, and they continued to come for many years.
Glenn Dennis called a hotline shortly after an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" featuring the Roswell incident aired in 1989. He suggested that a friend who worked as a nurse at the Roswell Army Air Field saw three alien bodies, according to TIME Magazine. But the real bombshell moment came in 1994. Could it be that the debris really was from an alien craft?
According to the U.S. Air Force, no. The weather balloon story was not true, but it wasn’t to hide the fact that little green men had visited Earth. The wreckage was actually that of a classified project that flew microphones on high-altitude balloons so that sound waves generated by Soviet atomic bomb tests could be detected. Called Project Mogul, it was said to have run between 1947 and 1949. What’s more, the balloons were claimed to have been made up of unusual material — the type that could easily be confused for a UFO. So, case closed? Not at all.
"The ever-changing accounts gave rise to uncertainty," Kenneth Drinkwater, senior lecturer in psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, U.K., who specialises in the anomalous and paranormal, said via email. "The first message that went out was unclear. Then they changed the message, and it led to suspicion that something was going on and being covered up. It gives rise to a feeling that something is being hidden from the general population, leading to speculation of possible conspiracy and possibly alien technology."

It’s why the Roswell files remain open in the eyes of many, and investigators put great value on the testimonies of those who were there, many of them respected military personnel. "Every member of Blanchard’s senior staff, with a single exception, suggested the craft was of alien origin," Kevin D. Randle, a retired lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Army Reserve who served in Vietnam and Iraq, told All About Space. "Major Edwin Easley, the base provost marshal, told me, when asked if we were following the right path — meaning extraterrestrial — that it wasn’t the wrong path."
The "single exception" is Cavitt, the retired lieutenant colonel of the Air Force who accompanied Marcel to the debris site. His careful testimony suggested that nothing untoward happened. He said he had never been threatened by anyone in government and that the debris wasn’t extensively scattered. Yet UFO investigators say that if the wreckage was Project Mogul, then this testimony doesn’t ring true. Mogul arrays were big, so the debris field would have been large.
"Everyone agrees that something fell at Roswell, but there is no terrestrial explanation," Randle told All About Space. "Project Mogul fails because the documentation tells us that flight number four — the alleged culprit — was cancelled. It did not fly. All other explanations have failed too: It wasn’t an aircraft accident, not a rocket from White Sands and not a regular weather balloon."
Over the past 40 or so years there have been new claims and fresh leads, adding to the mystery and keeping the Roswell files very much alive. UFO investigator Calvin Parker, for example, recently spoke of his time with Marcel before he died in 1986, claiming that Marcel revealed that he’d hidden three pieces of metal from the crash site in the top of his water heater in his house. They have never been recovered, however.
Many UFO investigators are keen to stress that they don’t take every testimony at face value. Randle previously said that the credibility of Dennis must be discounted because of inconsistencies, and told All About Space that the accounts of military personnel are not simply accepted just because of their background. "There are some military witnesses who have been discredited as inserting themselves into the tale," Randle wrote via email. Likewise, there are civilian witnesses who are compelling.
"There are some very creditable civilian witnesses, such as Brazel and Frankie Rowe," said Randle. Rowe is certainly an interesting case. She was told of the crash by her father, a firefighter, who described creatures he had seen. According to Randle, Rowe said she was shown debris from the crash site, but had been told to stay quiet by the state. She says there was evidence her phone had been tapped. But of all of the witnesses, is too much weight being put on Marcel’s account?
In 1947, Brigadier General Roger M. Ramey and Colonel Thomas J. Dubose identified fragments found by the rancher as pieces of a weather balloon. The story changed in 1994, however. (Image credit: Getty Images )
"If Marcel was standalone then there would be some real problems here, but he is not. There are many credible witnesses — men who achieved high military rank, men and women who were prominent in their communities — who believe the craft was alien,” Randle said. "We have attempted to eliminate the fakers from those who had information to provide. We have been taken in, for a time, by some of those fakers, but in the long run it was we who investigated the case that removed many of those fakers, though based on evidence and not a belief there is no alien visitation. The point is that Marcel was backed up by other high-ranking officers, and many civilians who were part of the case. Marcel told what he had seen and done, and there was little embellishment in his testimony."
Randle appeared in the documentary, "Roswell: The First Witness". It follows the investigations of former CIA operative Ben Smith into Roswell, and a key part of the series is a journal found in Marcel’s possessions that was initially thought to have been written by him.
Speculation continues: Was the craft of alien origin?
It turned out that the journal — which consisted of quotes, lyrics and jokes — could be dated to the time of the Roswell incident, but the handwriting didn’t match Marcel’s. Smith pondered why the former army officer retained the journal, and there was speculation over whether it may have contained a code. If it did, however, it could not be deciphered by even the best of minds, according to the documentary.
Smith also sought to discover what was written in a document held by Brigadier General Roger Ramey, Eighth Air Force commander, during the press conference. It was captured in a photograph taken by Star-Telegram reporter J. Bond Johnson, and ufologists have long wondered whether the words they struggle to make out refer to "victims of the wreck." As Smith found, however, even the best technology could not sufficiently clean the document enough to make the words readable, and they remain a source of debate.
There were other interesting explorations in the documentary series. A body-language expert examined video interviews of Marcel and said it appeared that he was telling the truth, at least as he saw it. Experts including aviation crash investigator David Soucie were also taken to examine the crash site. Interestingly, the wind currents in the area were found to be inconsistent with a lightweight balloon crashing in the way that was described.
As the documentary continued, more evidence emerged. Crucially, there was a taped interview conversation between Marcel and author Linda G. Corley in which the military man discussed the items he found in 1947. "I found all this stuff and I was told to keep my mouth shut,” he told her. “I held on to this premium for 32 years without saying anything at all. See, I was an intelligence officer. I handled intelligence and security for the base. I still hold an allegiance to my country, the vow that I took to keep my mouth shut about everything that might encroach on military secrets."
Just as compelling was an account from the family of Patrick Saunders, the 509th adjutant who is likely to have known about the whole event. He had apparently told people that it wasn’t a weather balloon, but something similar to a jet fighter, that files were destroyed or changed and that the world wasn’t ready for the truth because it would cause social upheaval. Were the "beings" friendly, he was said to have pondered.

This kind of testimony — particularly the first-hand testimony of Marcel that was chronicled in Corley’s book, “For the Sake of My Country” — ensures the incident remains open. The fact the US government admitted there was a cover-up in 1994 only continues to add fuel to the fire.
Yet Drinkwater says failure to provide physical evidence means anecdotal accounts have spread misinformation, and he remains in doubt. "Colonel John B. Alexander offers an excellent insight into the myths and possible conspiracies connected to UFOs, the Roswell incident, the government involvement and so on," he said. "I think it’s more about a sense of reality and how it can be swayed emotionally. I’m dubious about the nature of a secret operation where many might not have known about the goings on at their level."
So what of those who likely know: presidents past and present, perhaps? Former president Donald Trump told his son Don Jr. in an interview on YouTube in June 2020 that he’d heard some "interesting things" about aliens, thereby ensuring speculation will continue for some while yet.
"Would you ever open up Roswell and let us know what’s really going on," Don Jr. asked, to which Trump responded: "There are millions and millions of people who want to go there and want to see it. I won’t talk to you about what I know about it, but it’s very interesting."
That’s something countless people will no doubt chew over if they happen to visit and find themselves in that extraordinary McDonald’s. Roswell is a town that will be forever linked to one of the greatest mysteries of all time, and we may never truly reach a consensus on the truth that is out there.
In relation to the question I have posed at the top of this article, it’s not as easy as you might think. The biggest problem is that apart from aone-page FBI document on the Roswell case from 1947, there is nothing else to be seen or found in government archives. No documents. No files. No dossiers at the National Archives that we can read. Nothing. There are only (a) the memories of the families of the people who were at the site and at the time, and (b) the words of the very few who are still alive, and (c) the handful of military personnel who are just about hanging on. Despite several investigations into the Roswell affair in the 1990s (two by the U.S. Air Force and one by what used to be called the General Accounting Office, and what is now titled the Government Accountability Office), nothing appeared of substance. Just about everyone who has an interest in UFOs will know that back in the summer of 1947, something crashed to Earth outside of Roswell, New Mexico. The object was first described as a “Flying Disk,” and a day after that as nothing stranger than a weather-balloon. And that’s where things stopped and were largely forgotten until Bill Moore and Stan Friedman resurrected the mysterious affair in the mid-1970s. And, although a great deal of testimony is now on file, we still haven’t found a single, solid piece of anything; whether photos of dead bodies, old files or…well…anything.
Now, many might say that the reason why we haven’t been able to penetrate the secret of Roswell is because the U.S. Air Force has it all hidden away. However, I don’t believe that, at all. You’ll see what I mean by that. When, in the 1990s, the Air Force began to take a new look at Roswell, it worded its reports very carefully. I’ll explain that. Despite what many UFO researchers have said, the Air Force never stated that the answer to Roswell was a Top Secret, huge “Mogul” balloon designed to monitor for Russian atomic bomb-tests. What the Air Force actually said was that they suspected that the “Mogul” theory was probably the correct picture. It was very much the same when, in 1997, (the 50th anniversary of the incident), the Air Force brought out its “crash-test dummy” report that suggested that the “alien bodies” found not too far from Roswell in ’47 were really nothing but mannequins used in high-altitude flights. It’s important to note that the Air Force never said that the crash-test dummy theory was the answer. Rather, the Air Force said, the “dummy” angle was the likely answer. In other words, the Air Force came up with two theories. And that’s what they were: theories. But, not hard facts. Even the Air Force admitted that.
(Nick Redfern)
Crash-Test Dummies at Roswell? No.
If you read those two, aforementioned Air Force reports – along with the GAO report – and you read them carefully, you’ll see that the Air Force made it clear (albeit briefly) that there was no hard evidence to prove that the Mogul and dummy theories provided definitive answers. Now, some Ufologists might say that the Air Force was lying when they reeled out their 1990s-era reports; that the Air Force was hiding the alien truth. But, I don’t think the Air Force was lying. Not even in the slightest. In my opinion, the Air Force of the 1990s was completely out of the loop of Roswell. As was the GAO team. It may sound strange to suggest that the U.S. Force of the 1990s was not given access to the real story, whatever it was/is. But, such a thing is quite plausible. And, it all revolves around the issue of what are known in the U.S. government as Special Access Programs. Or, SAPs. It is within the domain of SAPs that secrecy so often resides. And, it’s highly likely that the truth of Roswell is hidden deep within the heart of a SAP that has overseen the Roswell puzzle for decades. In essence, Special Access Programs are highly classified projects that are buried so deeply that not even the U.S. Congress knows much about them – if, indeed, anything at all. There is another important issue to note when it comes to Special Access Programs: just because a person may have a Top Secret clearance, it does not mean that he or she automatically has the “magic key” that opens just about every door in government, every secure facility, and every well-guarded underground bunker. In fact, quite the opposite is the case. On the matter of Special Access Programs, the concept of “need to know” is as significant as one’s level of security clearance.
(Nick Redfern)
Out at the Roswell Crash Site
Let’s say that, purely hypothetically, there is still a secret Special Access Program that is sitting on the smoking-gun that would reveal the full story of the November 22, 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. “John Smith” and “Bill Jones” may both have Top Secret clearances. Smith is tasked with hiding the truth of the death of the president. Jones, however, is an expert in North Korea’s plans to develop and deploy nuclear weapons. There would be no need for Jones to have access to the JFK-themed Special Access Program because it has no bearing on his work and expertise in the field of North Korea’s military. That both men have identical security clearances has no bearing, at all, when it comes to SAPs. In fact, it is wholly irrelevant. It all comes down to what a person needs to know to do their job, or, more specifically, what they don’t need to know. That is the way in which secrets are kept. In other words, the control that oversees what we can know, and what we can’t be told, doesn’t just apply to the public and the media. It also applies to the government itself.
In conclusion, and incredibly, what all of this means is that, just like us in the UFO research field, the U.S. Air Force has been denied access to the history, to the files, to the documents, to the photos, to the recovered whatever-it-was that crashed, and to the remains of the bodies. And, as a result, the Air Force – denied from being briefed on the real story and not given any access to the “Roswell Special Access Program”- did its very best by coming up with the Mogul and crash-dummy scenarios.
