The SHADO Rocket
The SHADO Rocket

Only featuring in one episode (The Man Who Came Back) and located at The Cape, the rocket is one of our favourite models because of how incredible the launch sequence is. Check out the video above to see it in its full glory.

The MoonBase Interceptor
The MoonBase Interceptor

Designed by Mike Trim and then revised by Derek Meddings. Armed with a single nuclear missile distinctively attached to the front of the craft, SHADO’s first line of defence against the UFO attacks.

The Lunar Carrier & Lunar Module
The Lunar Carrier & Lunar Module

The gorgeous Lunar Carrier is responsible for flight within the Earth’s atmosphere. It carries the Lunar Module which is released into the upper atmosphere before flying on to the Lunar Base.

The Lunar Mobile
The Lunar Mobile

Charged with ground defence of the Moonbase and equipped with rocket launchers. These fantastic models still look incredibly modern.

The Skydiver
The Skydiver

It’s never said how many Skydivers are patrolling the oceans in UFO. If a UFO penetrates the Earth’s atmosphere SHADO launchers a fighter to intercept it.

One of our favourite episodes, Sub Smash, will be broadcast on Sunday, June 4, at 6pm. It features a damaged Skydiver in the dept

hs of the ocean.

A UFO

The aggressor itself, the UFO. Pronounced as “You-FO”. They have a transparent outer shell protecting an opaque core.

Capable of travelling at 12 times the speed of light but forced to slow down in the atmosphere, these are a force to be reckoned with.

UFO continues at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday on the Forces TV Channel, Sky 264, Virgin 277 and Freesat 165
