OVNI = ET, équation fausse ?

Les ovnis ont-ils une origine extraterrestre ?

Délicate question qui fait débat depuis plus de 40 ans^1/ !

Les preuves manquent, en effet pour répondre : oui. Mais qu’entend-on par « preuves » ?

Et sinon, y a-t-il d’autres explications crédibles pour le phénomène ?

C’est autour des années 1960, voire avant, que l’idée commença à gagner du terrain selon laquelle les ovnis, qui avaient fait leur apparition en 1947, seraient une manifestation extraterrestre.

Est-ce l’incapacité des autorités à résoudre le problème posé (déjà !) par ces Objets Volants Non Identifiés qui incita certains chercheurs à pencher pour cette fantastique théorie ? Ou bien sont-ce les officiels eux-mêmes qui la lancèrent dans un but de diversion concernant leurs essais secrets : ailes volantes, avions-cibles, fantômes radar... ? Je me suis laissé dire que le gouvernement américain avait largement et mystérieusement subventionné les films E.T. et Rencontres du troisième type...

Toujours est-il que, profitant d’un terrain socio-psychologique propice en cette époque charnière de notre civilisation (progrès technique, boom de l’industrie spatiale, etc.), l’hypothèse extraterrestre (HET) s’implanta profondément et durablement dans les esprits. Au point qu’encore aujourd’hui (1987), à l’heure de la « grande déception » (re-déjà), plus de 70 % des gens^2/, y adhèrent encore.

Cette théorie, fort séduisante et respectable au demeurant, a été malheureusement sérieusement handicapée parce que, comme le déplorait le regretté Professeur J. A. Hynek (1910-1986), « trop d’individus la confondent avec la fantaisie des petits hommes verts ». Et, dans ce cas, elle devient irrecevable sinon ridicule.

Une attente qui n’en finit plus…

Si, comme on l’a cru certes très sincèrement longtemps, les ovnis n’étaient que « des vaisseaux spatiaux envoyés vers nous par des mondes d’une civilisation avancée » [D. Keyhoe (1897-1988)], il est certain qu’ « on aurait connu la vérité dans les 10 ans » [L. Davidson (1922-2007)]. Je vais me faire critiquer en m’appuyant sur ces arguments - en omettant ceux de l’interception, de la panne, je sais, il y a des rumeurs ! - mais la photo irréfutable, le contact officiel « diplomatique », tout cela fait défaut et violemment contraste avec les milliers de témoignages souvent très précis.

Sans compter que si l’on adopte une vue totalement anthropomorphique, à savoir les extraterrestres en balade en banlieue terrestre dans des soucoupes métalliques à échelle coulissante, il faut bien reconnaître notre grande infériorité à rivaliser avec eux, nous qui ne sommes pas allés bien loin (Lune), mais qui nous n’en avons pas moins souillé notre satellite naturel de nos épaves, nos déchets, nos urines... Eux rien... depuis plus de 40 ans!

Je ne parle pas de la transparence aux radars, du silence du système de propulsion, des distances incommensurables car je suis persuadé, que ces « obstacles » seront « balayés » par la science de demain.

Carl Sagan^3/, un des plus grands astronomes actuels et certainement le plus au fait de ce qu’il y a dans le ciel - il croit fermement aux extra-terrestres et ne s’en cache pas - a déclaré en mai 1987: « Personne n’a jamais fourni la moindre preuve physique solide de la visite d’étrangers sur la Terre ».

Alors faut-il regarder ailleurs ? Pourquoi pas ? Les alternatives commencent à se multiplier^4/...

Quatrième dimension et univers parallèles

Ayant abandonné^5/ lui aussi le schéma jugé simpliste des « sondes interplanétaires habitées », fruits d’une technologie avancée du style de la nôtre, l’ufologue franco-américain Jacques Vallée déclarait à Londres fin 1986 : « La raison pour laquelle nous ne pouvons comprendre comment ces apparitions célestes se manifestent chez nous, c’est parce qu’elles proviennent d’une autre dimension. »

Cette supputation n’est pas nouvelle puisque formulée pour la première fois en 1946 par Meade Layne^6/ mais n’a-t-elle pas été beaucoup prise au sérieux ?

Il ne s’agit plus, cette fois, d’extraterrestres au sens spatial du terme, provenant d’une planète physique dans notre système solaire ou dans un autre, mais d’entités issues d’un continuum espace-temps adjacent et coexistant actuellement au nôtre, tout cela « à un autre niveau vibratoire ». C’est notamment la thèse des univers parallèles, revenue au premier plan depuis que les plus récentes découvertes de la microphysique nous autorisent à multiplier les dimensions qui nous entourent. Ce ne sont plus quatre, ni 5, ni même 136 comme l’annonçait Vallée, mais un nombre infini de mondes qui s’interpénètrent à notre insu et dont nous faisons partie intégrante.

Les habitants « ultra-terrestres » d’un de ces univers multiples ont-ils réussi à trouver le moyen d’accéder à notre propre plan d’existence et les ovnis sont-ils les manifestations de cette incursion « extradimensionnelle »^7/ ? Quelle excitante éventualité!

Machines à temps ou échos du futur ?

Non moins intéressante est la théorie pour laquelle les ovnis sont des machines à remonter le temps^8/ utilisées par nos propres descendants en provenance du futur pour étudier l’humanité en se servant du passé comme musée historique vivant. Cette hypothèse chère à G. Steinhauser (1920-1989) des « chrononautes », ayant franchi le mur de la lumière n’est plus aussi utopique depuis qu’on soupçonne l’existence de particules qui vont à rebours du temps.

Si ce sont des visiteurs de demain mutants qui pilotent les ovnis, on comprend mieux pourquoi ils sont si discrets, la moindre « interférence active » avec leur passé - notre présent à nous - risquant de mettre en péril leur propre existence. Imaginez, par exemple, qu’ils tombent sur l’un de leurs aïeux et l’empêchent d’aller à la rencontre de sa petite amie appelée à devenir sa femme ! Que se passerait-il si celle-ci, sans cela, était devenue leur grand’mère ? Peut être ne seraient-ils jamais nés à cause de ce rendez-vous manqué et alors que font-ils là puisqu’ils n’ont jamais eu de parents ? Dilemme insoluble dans l’état actuel de nos connaissances.

Les ovnis sont-ils vivants ?

Les ovnis sont-ils une forme de vie indigène de la haute atmosphère terrestre non identifiée et non reconnue ? Le romancier britannique A. Conan Doyle (1859-1930), inventeur du héros détective Sherlock Holmes, croyait cela suite à une formulation originale de Charles Fort.

Ce concept d’une vie aérienne, opposée à la vie sous-marine, garde encore de chauds partisans. Tel Trevor James Constable ( ?...- ?...) qui écrit que « les ovnis sont des organismes vivants natifs de notre atmosphère qui cohabitent avec nous, côte-à-côte, inaperçus depuis la nuit des temps ».

D’origine plasmatique, électrique ou de pure énergie, ils auraient la capacité d’apparaître sous différentes formes. Notamment, ils pourraient être constitués de cette fameuse énergie d’orgone étudiée par le Dr Wilhelm. Reich (1897-1957). N’a-t-on pas raconté que, lors de certaines « expériences » effectuées par ce médecin autrichien, « des ovnis faisaient le siège de son laboratoire »?

Ectoplasmes spatiaux ?

Depuis une dizaine d’années, une nouvelle génération de chercheurs ovnis, se ralliant au panache plutôt fumeux du psychologue suisse Carl Jung (1875-1961) - lui dont Hynek disait en 1979 qu’au sujet des ovnis « il avait tout compris » - tend à placer le phénomène ovni au niveau du psi, du paranormal. Ces « para-ufologues », très représentés en France, voient les ovnis comme « une objectivation de réalités psychiques, une idéoplastie cybernétique »^9/ [P. Viéroudi alias Pierre Berthault (1939-1999)]. Enfouie dans ce langage plutôt ésotérique hérité de la psychanalyse se cache aussi l’interprétation psychosociologique à laquelle se sont rangés plusieurs grands noms de l’ufologie : Vallée, J. Keel (1930-2009)... Elle vise ni plus ni moins à nier l’existence objective des ovnis.

Les ovnis seraient des « projections mentales », des « condensations d’énergie psi », des « formes de pensée » sinon des fantasmes puisqu’ils ont souvent plusieurs témoins - reflétant une « tension affective, une détresse collective de l’humanité moderne » (Jung). Ils émergeraient d’un « tertium quid », élément transformateur de l’esprit humain.

Ces « signes dans le ciel », la plupart du temps symboliques - on a dit « messianiques » - confineraient à l’expérience mystique par l’entremise d’une auto-manipulation drainant, comme corollaire, que « celui qui veut en voir en verra ».

On se rapproche ainsi des apparitions mariales, des « miracles » en supposant que Jung a voulu nous suggérer que les ovnis sont la représentation moderne des « anges de lumière »....

Ils sont loin nos petits martiens humanoïdes, cueillant nos fleurs, mutilant nos vaches, basés sur la Lune ou au centre creux de la Terre.

En vous présentant ces quelques propositions de rechange à l’énigme ovni il y en a au moins 20 autres : poltergeist cosmique, âmes d’ultraterrestres surgis d’un autre état de conscience, « déités » nouvelles formules, mirages atmosphérique, etc. - j’ai voulu vous montrer que le problème posé semble trop « riche » pour être enfermé dans une seule hypothèse : l’HET, en l’occurrence, lorsqu’elle s’exprime au ras des pâquerettes. C’est ainsi mettre des limites certes navrantes à notre pensée ; il n’en reste pas moins qu’elle a été une idée forte » qui a ouvert notre esprit à l’exobiologie, c’est à dire à l’éventualité d’une vie extérieure à la planète Terre, nonobstant le fait qu’elle tend à abaisser l’ego collectif de l’Homme. A ce titre l’HET mérite tout notre respect sinon hélas la validation officielle.

Et, comme il est toujours bon de rêver, je laisse le mot de la fin à Michel Carrouges (1910-1988) : « Chacun de ces petits points fugitifs dans le ciel contient peut-être plus de connaissance, de puissance et d’esprit qu’il n’y en aura jamais dans l’histoire de notre planète... »

Peut-être effectivement. Qui sait?

1/ J’ai publié ce texte dans le journal local : Le Courrier de Saône & Loire Dimanche, du 21 juin 1987. Il constitue la base de ma réflexion sur l’hypothèse extraterrestre pour élucider l’énigme posée par les ovnis.

Depuis, j’ai affiné ma pensée et suis revenu sur cette question à travers divers articles parus dans des revues ufologiques et parapsychologiques. Certains diront que mon esprit s’est plutôt fermé car je suis devenu beaucoup plus circonspect vis-à-vis de ces hypothèses alternatives à l’HET dont la plupart sont hautement exotiques et ne constituent que des spéculations de science-fiction !

Je livre là mon texte original à peine « ajusté » et indique les références ultérieures où j’ai approfondi certains points de cette fascinante problématique qui reste pendante encore aujourd’hui en 2013, pour ne pas dire très vilainement attaquée de toutes parts.

Il est vrai qu’on tourne lamentablement autour depuis trop longtemps. Mais à qui la faute : au comportement incompréhensible des ovnis, à la fatigue des ufologues de bonne volonté ou à l’insidieux triomphe des négateurs ou autres sceptiques qui saisissent le désarroi des premiers pour alimenter leurs appels au doute ?

In the arsenal of eternal skeptics there are few tools more dramatically and more commonly used than Ockham’s razor. It is triumphantly applied to resolve arguments about ghosts (more parsimoniously seen as misperceptions by distraught family members or the suggestible), UFOs (evidently hoaxes and mistaken observations of natural phenomena) and telepathy (a “delusion” of wishful thinking and poorly-constructed tests).

Born in England, Franciscan monk William of Ockham (c. 1287–1347) is among the most prominent figures in the history of philosophy during the High Middle Ages. The Skeptics Dictionary quotes the Razor as Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate, or “plurality should not be posited without necessity," while Wikipedia defines Ockham's razor as follows:

“It is possible to describe the other planets in the Solar System as revolving around the Earth, but that explanation is unnecessarily complex compared to the contemporary consensus that all planets in the Solar System revolve around the Sun.” Another often-quoted formulation of the principle is that “one should not multiply entities beyond necessity.”

Brother Ockham, however, said nothing of the kind. Later philosophers have put these words into his mouth for their own convenience.

Here is what he wrote, according to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy:

So let’s come back to the planets, and apply Ockham’s razor–as formulated by the man himself–to a comparison between two different hypotheses about their motion.

The contemporary consensus states that they revolve around the sun according to the Copernican system, Kepler’s laws of motion and Newton’s model of gravity, as demonstrated by complex observations and significant mathematical underpinning.

Our alternative hypothesis simply states that they are moved around the sky by angels, as illustrated in this beautiful painting from the Breviari d’amor of Matfre Ermengaud, where a convenient gear mechanism is gracefully activated to regulate planetary motion. Ermengaud was a contemporary of Ockham and, like him, a Franciscan friar.

Were we to apply Ockham's formulation of the razor literally, the choice between these two hypotheses is clear. It does not favor the first hypothesis, the standard scientific interpretation. The Scriptures clearly state that angels do exist, and their reality was re-affirmed by Pope John Paul II as recently as August 1986. Since they manifest through their actions in the heavens, the second hypothesis appears far more parsimonious and elegant than the complicated rationalizations used by mathematicians and astronomers, which involve unseen entities such as the acceleration of gravity, centrifugal force, and mass, which - to this day - raise issues that science is yet to resolve. If you seriously believe in angels, then the contemporary consensus about planetary motion is a case of “plurality without necessity.”

The second hypothesis is also more powerful since angels can just as easily move the planets around the earth as around the sun. They can do whatever they like—and thereby explain any phenomena.

Perhaps we should be more careful when we quote ancient authors out of context, or twist their words to fit the convenient modern tenets of skepticism in the name of Reason. The Scriptures are full of ghosts, UFOs and examples of telepathy - which means that such phenomena cannot be dissected and thrown out using Ockham’s razor anyway.

We know, of course, that the planets revolve around the Sun, an idea that would have shocked Ockham. And I firmly believe that, in philosophy and in science we should go on selecting the hypothesis that makes the fewest assumption when confronted with competing explanations, and one should not multiply entities beyond necessity -- even if Brother William never said so.

But we should also remember that nature is not parsimonious at all.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research.

4,500,000,000 Earth-like Planets in our Galaxy

Billions of Earth-like alien planets likely reside in our Milky Way galaxy, and the nearest such world may be just a stone's throw away in the cosmic scheme of things, a new study reports.

Astronomers have calculated that 6 percent of the galaxy's 75 billion or so red dwarfs — stars smaller and dimmer than the Earth's own sun — probably host habitable, roughly Earth-size planets. That works out to at least 4.5 billion such "alien Earths," the closest of which might be found a mere dozen light-years away, researchers said.

"We thought we would have to search vast distances to find an Earth-like planet," study lead author Courtney Dressing, of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), said in a statement. "Now we realize another Earth is probably in our own backyard, waiting to be spotted."

Dressing and her team analyzed data gathered by NASA's prolific Kepler space telescope, which is staring continuously at more than 150,000 target stars. Kepler spots alien planets by flagging the tiny brightness dips caused when the planets transit, or cross the face of, their stars from the instrument's perspective. Kepler has detected 2,740 exoplanet candidates since its March 2009 launch.                                                       

 Follow-up observations have confirmed only 105 of these possibilities to date. In the new study, Dressing and her colleagues re-analyzed the red dwarfs in Kepler's field of view and found that nearly all are smaller and cooler than previously thought. This new information bears strongly on the search for Earth-like alien planets, since roughly 75 percent of the galaxy's 100 billion or so stars are red dwarfs.

Further, scientists determine the sizes of transiting exoplanets by comparison to their parent stars, based on how much of the stars' disks the planets blot out when transitting. So a reduction in a star's calculated size brings a planet's size down, to the realm of rocky worlds with a solid, potentially life-supporting surface.

And the size and location of a star's " habitable zone," the range of distances that could support the existence of liquid water on a planet's surface, are strongly tied to stellar brightness and temperature.

The team calculated that about 60 percent of red dwarfs likely host worlds smaller than Neptune. Dressing and her colleagues determined that Kepler has spotted three roughly Earth-size exoplanet candidates in the habitable zones of their parent red dwarfs. One of these worlds is Kepler Object of Interest (KOI) 1422.02. This candidate's newly calculated size is 90 percent that of Earth, and it circles its star every 20 days. 4,500.000,000 of Earth-like planets

The team further determined that about 6 percent of the Milky Way's red dwarfs should harbor roughly Earth-size planets in their habitable zones, meaning that at least 4.5 billion such worlds may be scattered throughout our galaxy.

"We now know the rate of occurrence of habitable planets around the most common stars in our galaxy," co-author David Charbonneau, also of CfA, said in a statement. "That rate implies that it will be significantly easier to search for life beyond the solar system than we previously thought."

That search may bear fruit right in Earth's backyard, researchers said.

"According to our analysis, the closest Earth-like planet is likely within 13 light-years, which is right next door in terms of astronomical distances," Dressing told SPACE.

"The knowledge that another Earth-like planet might be so close is incredibly exciting and bodes well for the next generation of missions designed to detect nearby Earth-like planets," she added. "Once we find nearby Earth-like planets, astronomers are eager to study them in detail with the James Webb Space Telescope and proposed extremely large ground-based telescopes like the Giant Magellan Telescope."

Red dwarfs are also longer-lived than stars like the sun, suggesting that some planets in red dwarf habitable zones may harbor life that's been around a lot longer than that on Earth, which first took root about 3.8 billion years ago.

Scientists have also detected five planetary candidates circling the star Tau Ceti, which lies 11.9 light-years away. The new study will be published in The Astrophysical Journal. Thanks to space com.

Allegedly China will be releasing Hi Res images taken by the Chang'e-2 moon orbiter, which clearly show buildings and structures on our Moon’s surface.

China is moving toward full disclosure of the Extraterrestrial reality.

Russian Revolution Film in 1917 with UFO

 Hello again Major Filer...Have I got something for you to scratch your head over I was watching a movie called 

‘World War I: Russian Revolution; 1/4 on YouTube ....I notice an object flash through the frames all I could was stop on the frames.

This is what I found  on the 1-4 You Tube 1.png  white dot on the right side I am not sure about, but were the red arrows are pointing they looks to me metallic, nearly the same shape as the photo of the orb in the field in Poland.

The Abstract

[1] We report independent results from two subgroups of the Mars Express Radio Science (MaRS) team who independently analyzed Mars Express (MEX) radio tracking data for the purpose of determining consistently the gravitational attraction of the moon Phobos on the MEX spacecraft, and hence the mass of Phobos. New values for the gravitational parameter (GM = 0.7127 ± 0.0021 × 10−3 km3/s2) and density of Phobos (1876 ± 20 kg/m3) provide meaningful new constraints on the corresponding range of the body's porosity (30% ± 5%), provide a basis for improved interpretation of the internal structure.

We conclude that the interior of Phobos likely contains large voids. When applied to various hypotheses bearing on the origin of Phobos, these results are inconsistent with the proposition that Phobos is a captured asteroid.

Monolith on Phobos

One of the two moons of Mars with its Monolith appears to be similar to the Washington Monument making it unlikely to be a natural formation. 

Phobos, was discovered by A. Hall in 1877, and still attracts great attention.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin said in an interview with C-Span some years ago. "We should visit the moon of Mars. There is a monolith there, a very unusual structure on this little potatoes-shaped object that goes around Mars."

His words confirmed the existence of a mysterious structure on Phobos, one of Mars' two moons.

When Buzz Aldrin was asked who created the structure, he replied with a smile, “It was either the Universe or God.”“

Possible Illinois Visitation

DeKalb – The witness David Telford was driving home after work taking a series of ninety degree turns on county roads and realized a light was following his various turns. At first, he thought it was an aircraft but realized it was making the sharp turns that an aircraft could not make. He got home and saw a disc shaped craft descend to about 200 feet altitude about 100 yards from his house. His wife was cooking a roast for dinner that had been in the oven for about an hour.

He asked his wife and nine year old daughter, “Come outside and see this revolving disc with colored lights.” It was making a low whoop whoop sound. They stood outside and watched the disc for a few minutes and decided to go back in the house.

When they entered the kitchen the roast was smoking and burned to a crisp. It appeared there were several hours of missing time. Later in his dreams he remembers being taken aboard a space ship with a tall thin being that was in charge taking him past a series of rooms with smaller beings. He felt they are researching humans in attempt to understand our emotions, and illnesses such as arthritis. He does not feel they are here to harm us. He noticed scoop marks on his body. Partially as a result of the possible abductions they moved a thousand miles away. He still feels something may be occurring because when he puts his head on the pillow, he immediately goes to sleep, and what seems like a few seconds he awakes and it is morning. He has a series of red spots between his fingers that seem related to the abductions. Photo is depiction.

North Korea Conducts Nuclear Test

North Korea confirmed through its official news agency KCNA that it conducted an underground nuclear test on Tuesday. The test employed "a miniaturized and lighter nuclear device with greater explosive force" than previously tested," reported Reuters. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney called the test "a highly provocative act" that "undermines regional stability," among the detrimental effects. He called for "further swift and credible action by the international community" to deal with this provocation. This is North Korea's third nuclear test, following underground events in 2006 and 2009.

UFO Sightings in the United States

Arizona Red Light

 Sedona -- In the late afternoon of August 14, 2003 – my wife, while I was driving slowly along a back road just north of the Big Park Grade School began taking photographs of the sky to the west of the red rock mesas. In two of the photos, taken within seconds of each other, a large bush can be seen where the craft was photographed. In the background is a distant mesa while in the sky, within an odd angular opening in the clouds, appears to be dark object beaming down two bright lights. One photo shows both a red and a bright white spot while in the other both spots are white. Snip

Note: The photographer did not see the object, but two workmen apparently did see the object. When first viewing the photo I thought that the dark object was an artifact due to the fact that the photo was taken in the direction of the Sun and therefore not a real object. However, if the workmen actually saw the object, then the object could be real. The enhancement sent by the witness is somewhat compelling and shows an entity in a oval shaped craft. The enhancement is zoomed to the individual pixel level.

PARADISE Valley – I had yet another sighting this month, in the local supermarket parking lot around dusk has I scanned the skies I could see two commercial airliners heading into Phoenix. Both of their bright landing beacons were lit up, making them visible from many miles away. The closest one was to the right of the one farther back, and as I monitored their approach I was surprised to see a red light suddenly drop down into their path. After the light had descended below the paths of the oncoming planes, it leveled off and then continued on a slightly downward path in the opposite direction.

 It soon disappeared from view on the horizon. I'm unsure whether the red light descended ahead of both planes or whether it was at some point in between them. The closer plane soon passed over my position, heading towards landing at Skyharbor. The second one continued on its path towards me, but then banked off to my right as though it were heading towards the west side of Skyharbor. This left me to wonder if this had been an adjustment because of the red light. Was the pilot of the second plane startled by this and taking evasive action? Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Oval Object

SUNCITY, PALM DESERT -- We had a day light sighting in the Palm Desert Foothills on February 2, 2013. We saw a black round/oval object hovering over high voltage towers. The object was about 20 to thirty feet in diameter. We looked at it for about 8 minutes. I was playing golf and had to go to the next hole, otherwise I would have stayed to see where it went. Florida Light

 Santa Rosa Beach -- My husband and I took our camcorder down to the Choctawhatchee Bay on January 27, 2013, to shoot the moon.  Immediately upon sitting and filming an emerald colored light flew into view and we were able to get about 20 seconds of unbelievable footage of the orb flying around the moon. It wasn’t visible when it wasn’t lit by the moon. It was totally amazing and was able to move at high speed in any direction. We have amazing pictures around our home using a Jazz/Hdv102 camcorder and a Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera. These are, but a few of the orbs around our home, and we have some with the letters FORC written inside them!

Note: The orb in the video is probably the reflection of the moon off of the camera lens. The orbs in the photo were not seen. The camera flash was used. Illinois Orb

FOREST PARK -- At 12:30 am, on February 10, 2013, I saw a star like object ascend in the NE, beginning at 60 degrees above the horizon. It reached approximately 80 degrees within two minutes. At first I thought it might be an approaching jet, but it had no strobes and it maintained the same size, indicating that it was not coming closer or moving away. It was only moving upwards. It was beneath the cloud cover last night - which makes me think it may have been of similar size to conventional aircraft. I base that on how planes usually look coming and going, as I live between O’Hare and Midway, and comparing the star like object to regular air traffic luminosity. 

I had time to observe the object through binoculars, though they’re not very strong. The object was pulsing and multi-colored. I watched this for a minute or so, it was only hovering at this point. It blinked out right then, and looked like a small white ember - just a pinpoint. Here’s the weird part: when the object dimmed, a whitish meteor arced north from the object. As if the meteor came from it. The object made no sound. A plane with red strobes came from the direction of O’Hare (west), toward the object and the object disappeared. When the plane passed, the object became visible again, having moved about two inches right in a more easterly direction and now at about 85 degrees. The cloud cover began to obscure it from my view and I went inside shortly after. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kentucky Orbs

Lexington -- My husband pulled into our driveway and noticed an orange ball of light hovering in the sky on February 6, 2013. He ran into the house and grabbed our camera and began filming. He filmed two and a half minutes of footage of the maneuvering light. This is the fourth time this object has hovered over our home, shining brightly, darts around, and then disappears.

We already knew what it was going to do and were able to film it this first time so we were filled with joy and exuberance. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New York Light

Rotterdam -- Driving on Route 7 from Duanesburg towards Schenectady, three blue orbs were flying over the industrial park in a triangle formation on February 7, 2013. They combined and came towards the road. Over the road the super orb hovered and glowed red. By this point people on the road had come out of their cars staring in disbelief, others grabbing out cameras. 
The orb then descended to about ten feet above the people watching and hovered. The radio shut off, the engine of the car began to run funny, our cell phone immediately began to die. The orb then split off in three directions with a square trail holding illumination as the object itself flew away, and the square began to dissipate.

When the orb left the radio came back on and the cell phone went back to being fully charged. Note: the object showed up as yellow in the picture, not the red hue that it appeared to be in person. Thanks to MUFON CMS

North Carolina UFO/F-15 Crash

Wilmington – Approximately ten years ago a witness was watching the local television news when a UFO was videotaped and shown... Shortly after the video of the disc was shown an F-15 fighter aircraft enters the video diving towards the UFO and ascends to conduct what appears to be an attack maneuver. The UFO suddenly gains altitude and hits the F-15 which disabled starts falling out of the sky. The pilot ejects and parachutes to safety comes the plane and the pilot parachutes out of the F-15 as the UFO flies off. The next day prior the regular news broadcast the station announces that the video of the UFO had disappeared during the night.

When I was stationed at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia I was told by a pilot that the F-15s had the UFO intercept mission, but did not mention this incident. Thanks to Dave.

 Roanoke Rapids -- I was traveling home from job approaching a major intersection but before I reached traffic stop light I noticed a bright light in sky about 35 - 40 degrees over horizon. At first I thought it was a bright star in sky, then I thought it could’ve been a helicopter shinning a bright search light. I took my eye off object for a couple of seconds to pay attention to traffic and when I saw object again the light was off and it was actually moving west very slowly.

The object appeared to be about the size of a passenger airplane but looked more like a cigar. Both ends of object were equally curved. When the object omitted the light it appeared much smaller and the light was the brightest I had ever seen. After the light turned off I could see the true shape of the object. It went from small bright glowing object to cigar shaped. It moved slowly across sky and I lost track of it when turned onto Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Ohio Chevron

Columbus -- At 10:37 pm, on February 6, 2013, I walked out of a side exit door at the Cinemark Movies 12 at the corner of Bethel and Pickford. I know the time is exact because I was leaving work at the theater on my way to the bus stop on Pickford and checked my phone in anticipation of the bus I was about to catch. 

About one minute after leaving the theater I reached the bus stop and happened to look up, over the Carriage Place shopping center where the theater is located and saw a black crescent-shaped craft fly approximately 100 over the building. The object was about 80 across and 20 wide in the center. All of the measurements are based in comparison to the part of the building that it flew over - the building being about 20 high at that point.

The only sound I heard at all was an alto-pitched hum that faded as the object passed over flying due north. The object itself was a flat dark color, slightly lighter than the sky behind it. There were several light grey squares underneath but no lights. It traveled a distance of approximately 1 mile before I could no longer see it, which took about twenty to thirty seconds. When I first noticed it I thought it looked like a giant boomerang-shaped ship. I felt only a slight confusion/curiosity. I lost sight of the object because its dark color made it blend in with the sky after passing over the well-lit parking lot of the shopping center. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oregon Object

 La Pine – I felt something. I wasn’t sure what I was experiencing on October 31, 2012 at 10 AM –. I stopped my car, looked into the clouds and saw a small light that did not seem like an aircraft. I took several rapid pictures on “sport mode”. The object moved without notice, and when I examined the photos I could see a shadow being cast by the object. One of the things that stands out is that this is not an orb or light refraction as the object cast a shadow.

Pennsylvania Star Like Light

Philadelphia -- While walking in Olde City on February 9, 2013, I noticed a very star like object in southwest above the buildings moving slowly. I observed that it did not have any strobe lights that would indicate it was an airplane. The object continued to move in a NNE direction and passed overhead when suddenly the light dimmed and disappeared. This reminded me of pass over’s of satellites, for which I checked and saw that a pass over of SkyLab1 happened at 7; 04 but did not coordinate to this objects brightness. Very interesting indeed! Texas Orbs

San Antonio -- I was driving on February 4, 2013 at 7:15 Pm on Route I10 and DeZavala Road when my backseat witness observed 40 blinking off and on randomly Orange/Yellow orbs of light. All the lights together made a diamond shape 150 yards in length. We also observed a small plane underneath it as the orbs of light were turning off/on randomly. A third witness also observed the lights in disbelief. The lights were hovering above us and we attempted to film with our phones, but were only able to get a small amount of images that do not do it justice. We observed for about 40 seconds before it disappeared. We have never seen anything like this before.

P.S. After we viewed the pictures we also observed the lights were actually floating right above the parking lot right in front of us, although we didn’t see them when we were actually there.....super strange. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Watching Matlock around 7:30 PM on February 9, 2013, Father Yelled as I ran out with video cam in hand UFO was hovering above the house as the lights turned red to green and white to blue Yellow-Orange moving north to South. MAR DEL PLATA -- Oval bright white light, traveling fast for about a minute, and then disappearing on January 20, 2013, at 11 PM. As I´m standing on the rooftop of my building, I see a bright light approaching. At first I thought it was a fast moving plane, but as the travel path of the light changed in angles (moving from right to left, a plane light would have diminished and it's wing signals become visible), it was the same intensity (bright white), with no blinking "airplane" lights. Australia Fireball

Perth -- Bright Star like object about 45 seconds in WA near the southern cross
just before 9:00 Pm Sitting down, Saw a Star like object move high in the sky, was very bright and I had time to tell my family to come out and have a look at January 25, 2013 at 10:53 PM. estimate time about 45 seconds It was near the southern cross and the brightest star in the sky. It appeared before the brightest star and finished before the moon. It was very bright and moved almost like a satellite but much faster and lower. The object was very bright for about 20 - 30 seconds and then went dull as it disappeared. I was able to get a small video clip of only 6 seconds, as it left. Brazil Orb

 Seagull / Santa Catarina – The object appeared near a person's residence on January 29, 2013. The gentleman who photographed the image works as a lawyer and said he had never seen anything like it. The lawyer said he felt a presence calling him to photograph the house. He said he could not resist the urge to photograph the residence and this image captured by the camera. Canada Two Orange Lights

Germany Disc

Freiburg – We saw a silver disc on January 2nd 2013 at 1:21 PM, flying on a straight line to south. Sometimes it disappeared behind some clouds, but re-appeared after a few seconds. It was very slow in the beginning, but then it speeded up and disappeared behind the clouds. In the first 20 seconds it flew very slowly, but then it speeded up faster than a plane. I think it was approximately 50 to 100 feet in diameter. One witness saw it clearly with me with identical observations, but I had no time to look for my camera.

Japan Two Crescent Shaped Craft

Adachi-ku (Tokyo) In the past; I had seen plasma balls meandering about. I didn't think to report those because I felt that they might be natural in nature (example: ball lightning). This however was different and definitely not natural. This time they were craft at 6:10 PM, on January 5, 2013. Two of them, shaped like crescents, boomerangs, a "V", or however you want to call it. It was half transparent, without lights, no sound, and traveling around 2500 kph. They were visible from ambient light from Tokyo. They seemed somewhat transparent, the same way that a small lone cloud is visible but also transparent looking in an otherwise crystal clear night sky.

Tonight coming home from dinner the sky was super clear and many stars were visible and I was enjoying a wonderful view of Jupiter. That's when suddenly the two craft entered my field of view. One was traveling to the East/Northeast, and the other was traveling to the East/Southeast. Their trajectories and positions in the sky were perfect intersecting mirror images of each other. When their positions had reached a distance from each other of about the width of six to eight of their craft, they went into formation flying east for a moment then banking hard to the right quickly flying out of sight to the Southeast.

If these are ours, we have mastered at least three or more ground breaking technologies that aren't even officially on the drawing board yet or even considered possible. I mean, forget about soundless supersonic flight and cloaking. What I want to know is how they pull a 500 G turn without killing the occupants. Mexico Red Light

Monterrey – At ten minutes after midnight on January 13, 2013, my family and I were west of the city near the Hill of Mithras and noticed a red light approaching from the north at a height of 50 degrees. It stopped its movement and hovered for about ten minutes and then disappeared. I believe that anyone who had raised his eyes to heaven would have seen it. The night was perfectly clear without a cloud. The light was the apparent size of Jupiter but was rather a dull red. I noticed two people passing by and confirmed what my daughter and wife saw. I have lived near the international airport for over twenty years and know the aircraft codes green white and red lights, all very bright. This was a totally different color light and form. Puerto Rico Formation

Quebradillaa –About two minutes after midnight on January 1, 2013, two objects were traveling northeast in formation. The two objects were traveling at the same speed with a control distance between them. The two objects disappeared to the northeast making no sound.

At five minutes after midnight on January 1, 2013, a third object appeared traveling the same direction and speed as the previous two objects. All objects were oval shape, red in color. Slovakia Sphere

Banska Bystrica -- We were watching the fireworks display bringing in the New Year in our village when a football size orange light came across the roof tops about 30 feet in the air. It was travelling in a Northerly direction when it stopped directly above us for about one minute.

I waved at this glowing ball of light but it stayed motionless for a while, and then shortly started to travel in a westerly direction. South Africa UFO Sighting,

JOHANNESBURG, RANDBURG – On January 1st, 2013, at 12:22 AM. I was watching allot of fireworks being fired off and displayed, when I noticed what appeared at first to be a flare as it was an orange/ red orb, but as I watched it, I noticed it was moving in a straight line towards me at the speed and height of a commercial airliner, I noticed it was flying from north to west and then disappeared behind some clouds.

On January 5, 2013, five days later, I saw the same UFO coming closer from the north on the same course and exactly the same time 12:22 am. I then had a better view with the binoculars and noticed that it wasn’t one ball of orange and red light but a disc shaped craft with four lights equally spaced under the craft. UK/England Ovals

Norwich -- These were real alien craft and very fast and able to hover and make clever formations it was fantastic to see on January 1, 2013. Fifteen bright orange oval shapes were flying at great speed in clever formations. This fantastic event was not reported by anyone but me to the Norwich Constabulary. At least five craft stopped in perfect line waiting for the final UFO to catch up. The Local Press, TV, and Royal Air Force were not interested in my photo evidence but the Norwich Police have given me a record number of this event. UK/Scotland I Have Pictures of Aliens

CLACKMANNANSHIRE (FORTH VALLEY) – I saw an oval shaped craft in the skies over Devonside, Scotland, on January 9, 2013, at 11:43 PM, It was alternatively elongated at sides whilst watching. This may be due to the craft entering a light speed and flickered between vivid colors of red, blue, green and white. I observed it for twelve minutes at 11:43 PM, and then due to tasks needed to be done my watch had to be discontinued. I went to check to see if it was still visible 40 minutes later and it moved at an extremely slow pace. This evening’s sighting was also observed by my friends. As soon as they told me of the observation; I immediately exclaimed that at the same time, I’d seen the same color, and shaped craft.

REG PRESLEY AND THE ALIEN AUTOPSY FILM

Reg Presley is best known as the lead singer with the 1960’s pop group ‘THE TROGGS’. He sang lead vocals on their international hit ‘Wild Thing’ as was the writer of the huge international hit ‘Love Is All Around’ by Wet, Wet, Wet in the 1990’s. Reg passed away on 4^th February at his home in Andover, Hampshire.  The former bricklayer continued performing with The Troggs right up until 2012.

As well as his passion for music Reg Presley had another, quite different interests. One was so-called Crop Circles and another was the infamous ‘ALIEN AUTOPSY FILM’.  This short piece of film caused a sensation when it was released across the world by London businessman Ray Santilli in 1995. The film was shown on Channel Four in the UK and Fox TV in the USA to name but two. Santilli claims he was on a business trip with his partner Gary Shoefield in 1993. They were visiting Cleveland, Ohio looking for old film clips of rock ‘n’ roll starts. Allegedly they bought a very early clip of Elvis from an elderly gentleman. They paid cash and everyone was happy. Santilli states that shortly before flying home he was contacted again by this same (un-named) elderly gentleman who told him that prior to being a freelance cameraman he had actually been a cameraman for the US military. He told Santilli that in 1947 he was flown on a secret mission to Roswell, New Mexico to film the crash and recovery of a UFO. Not only that, he still had film of two of the recovered deal aliens being autopsied. Cutting a long story short, a deal was done and Santilli bought was has become known as the Alien Autopsy Film.

In 1993 I was the press officer for the British UFO Research Association and among my mail one day was a letter from Ray Santilli. After speaking to him and meeting with him over the next 18 months I was shown the film in question in early 1995.  It was in January 1995 that the first ever public mention of this film was made on live TV by none other than Reg Presley. He was on ‘Good Morning with Ann & Nock’ on the ITV network when he suddenly blurted out that he had seen film footage of the alien autopsy and that it was soon to be released.  Presley had been friends with the films owner Ray Santilli for many years. Santilli’s main area of business is music through which he met Reg.

The Alien Autopsy Film was shown on TV for the first time in August 1995. It was hugely popular and of course hugely controversial. The arguments for and against its authenticity raged around the world and I seemed to be in the middle of it all. The height of this interest peaked in 1996 when I travelled to meet up with Reg Presley and a number of other delegates at a huge conference held in Düsseldorf, Germany. The conference was organised by the German newsstand publication ‘Magazine 2000’ edited by historian and UFO researcher Michael Hesemann.

A packed conference venue heard presentations on a variety of topics but the main subject of interest was the alien autopsy film. I presented my findings so far as did Reg Presley. Reg and I were also on a panel at the end of the conference taking part in a Q & A session from members of the public. Reg left the audience in no doubt that the alien autopsy film was the genuine article and that his friend Ray Santilli was telling the truth.

And so the debate continued down the years with no proof of the films authenticity coming from those that owned it and no convincing evidence that it was a fake from those that apposed it. The battle lines had been drawn. I personally was determined to get to the bottom of it no matter how long it took.

This short piece of black & white film has made a lot of money for its owners and made its way right into the heart of popular culture. This culminated in 2006 when British TV stars Ant & Dec appeared in the Warner Bros film ‘Alien Autopsy’. They play Ray Santilli and his business partner Gary Shoefield.  The arguments of the films authenticity still raged. I had kept in touch with Reg Presley every now and again and he had not changed his opinion at all. To him the film was authentic.

In 2008, after a lengthy investigation I finally made contact with a man named Spyros Melaris. He claimed to be the man who led the team that faked the alien autopsy film. Not only that, he could prove it.  Melaris was a film maker and magician and he was hired by Santilli to fake the film. He showed me his research materials, named names, locations and a whole manifesto of other supporting documentary evidence to support his claims. In my mind there was no doubt he was telling the truth.

Santilli of course remained tight-lipped and stuck pretty much to his original story. And Reg Presley never changed his opinion; he did not belie Melaris but instead stuck by his friend Ray Santilli. In 2012 I released all my research in the book ‘ROSWELL ALIEN AUTOPSY’.

Reg Presley was a very nice guy indeed. When you met him you would never have guessed he was a well known pop star. With his West Country accent this former bricklayer had a natural charm and made people feel at ease in an instant.  Reg and his music will live on as will the debate over the alien autopsy film. But for me my quest for the truth is at an end and that truth is that the film is one gig fake. Sorry Reg.

Les relations privilégiées de David Mac Donald avec la France qu’il adore et ou il est venu à plusieurs reprises, sont une chance pour notre pays, pour l’Europe car il accorde immédiatement sa confiance à John Tomlinson dans le but, non pas de « coloniser la France » comme on a pu l’entendre, mais de tisser avec la France, le vieux continent, des liens profonds basés sur un échange d’informations, d’idées ou de services fructueux pour tous. D’ailleurs, le réseau Mufon France est 100 % Français, dispose de sa propre structure et de ses propres méthodes d’enquêtes, d’études ou d’information. Il a donc une indépendance totale. Lors de sa venue, Dave Mac Donald mettra en place avec le GEIPAN, l’organisme officiel qui en France (et c’est unique au monde) étudie le phénomène ovni, un accord de collaboration. C’est un fait remarquable, un début de collaboration France – USA qui n’a jamais été mis en place à ce niveau à ce jour. Nous devons également cette action couronnée par une réussite à Xavier PASSOT, responsable du GEIPAN qui prend son rôle à cœurs avec un grand sérieux, ne comptant pas son temps pour faire tourner et surtout développer la structure existante.

Le GEIPAN, avec la nomination de son nouveau directeur, n’a jamais été aussi actif et clair vis-à-vis du milieu associatif en France, entretenant des liens étroits avec les organismes sérieux privés qui s’intéressent au dossier ovni et qui sont demandeurs. Il en est de même avec le MUFON qui a établi un rapprochement basé sur un échange mutuel d’informations et d’accords divers dans notre pays.

Nort-sur-Erdre (Loire Atlantique), 7 septembre 1987 : un ovni bruyant qui fit pschitt…

Alors que les ovnis étaient (et sont) réputés silencieux, l'annonce, à l'automne 1987, que le bruit d'un tel objet volant non identifié avait été entendu et enregistré fit sensation. Le journal Le Monde du 15 septembre titrait : « Un ovni sur bande magnétique ». Ajoutait au prodige, le fait que le « bruit » semblait un mélange sonore surimposé du ronronnement d’un moteur (un ovni doit bien être autopropulsé) et d’un message à déchiffrer !

Qui avait réussi ce « deux-coups-en-un » apte à nous rapprocher de l’ultime confrontation avec les extraterrestres en maraude dans le ciel breton ? Quelque astrophysicien au moyen d’une des grandes oreilles du SETI ? Un ufologue chanceux ? Non : un gamin de 10 ans, Laurent X., avec sa radiocassette achetée à Carrefour, depuis la fenêtre de sa chambre à coucher, à Nort-sur-Erdre (Loire Atlantique), un bourg situé quelques kilomètres au nord de Nantes.

L’AFP, s’étant informée auprès des gendarmes (verdict de ceux-ci : « ça a l’air vraisemblable »), répercutait les propos sortis de la bouche même du petit témoin à partir du procès-verbal : « Il était cinq heures (du matin, le 7 septembre), j’ai entendu du bruit, j’ai ouvert les volets et enregistré un genre de bip-bip. Je suis resté le temps que ça a duré sur ma fenêtre, enfin… sur le rebord et puis quand la musique s’est arrêtée, il y avait encore de la lumière (à 20 mètres) ; elle s’est déplacée très lentement, très droit et puis a disparu : ça clignotait, c’était tout orange, ovale presque rond… J’ai eu peur, très peur mais je n’ai pas réveillé mes parents. »

Laurent, au matin, se confia à ses parents lesquels décidèrent d’en informer Radio France Loire Océan qui, « ne voulant pas garder cela pour nous », téléphona aux gendarmes vers 10 heures le 7 septembre, ce qui eut pour effet de lancer des dépêches et ameuter tous les médias. « Je suis certain que mon fils n’affabule pas », avait dit le père aux gendarmes.

Quelques jours plus tard, des copies pirates de l’enregistrement circulaient librement et on pouvait entendre le « bruit de l’ovni » à France Info, France Inter, RTL, Europe 1, RMC, Radio Fun (situant la source aux USA !). « L’assiette anglaise » sur Antenne 2 datait l’observation du 10 septembre… bref, le PAF (paysage audiovisuel français) était secoué par un tohu-bohu de force un.

Or l’écoute des 40 secondes d’enregistrement de Laurent (inséré « par-dessus » la chanson Joe le Taxi de Vanessa Paradis) rappelait furieusement ces modulations bizarres qu’on pouvait capter sur le poste radio quand par inadvertance on basculait sur les ondes courtes : un signal à cycle répétitif régulier comme du morse. Des « A » en l’occurrence…

Mais pourquoi donc interdirait-on à un ovni d’émettre un son du type « tu-tuuu avec des doublets plus courts te-te » (sic) et pourquoi les ET ne tenteraient-ils pas de communiquer en code morse ? Même si leur alphabet semblait singulièrement réduit !

Le GEPAN (sans « I » à l’époque) ne se précipita pas sur les lieux ; le 28 septembre seulement, il préleva des échantillons de végétation et, à son habitude, récupéra la cassette originale avec l’enregistrement, pour faire des analyses.

C’est là qu’à l’instar d’un auteur d’énigmes policières, je peux vous dire que vous avez en mains tous les éléments pour résoudre l’énigme.

Mais la vérité a souvent du mal à s’exposer lorsqu’elle met en évidence les travers de l’emballement médiatique autour de tout ce qui peut apporter quelque sensationnalisme aux nouvelles lénifiantes d’une fin d’été en manque de scoops.

Et puis, il faut bien reconnaître qu’en matière d’ovni, tout n’est jamais simple et que même derrière l’évidence persistent des interrogations.

Comme c’est malheureusement trop souvent le cas, après la tempête médiatique suscitée par l’annonce de l’enregistrement en Bretagne du « bruit » d’un ovni en septembre 1987, très peu de médias répercutèrent les conclusions du G.E.P.S.I. (Groupe d’Etudes des Phénomènes Spatiaux Inexpliqués) aidé par le laboratoire d’acoustique de l’université de Provence ; tel qu’exposé dans la revue Ovni-Présence de février et août 1988, « il existe une infinité de transmissions en morse en provenance du monde entier, susceptibles d’être captées sur un simple récepteur équipé des ondes courtes » (telle que la séquence sonore de 40 secondes trouvée sur la radiocassette du petit Laurent X, unique « témoin » de cette affaire, en l’occurrence) : celles des « radiobalises ».

Pour le bruit de fond  rappelant celui d’un rotor d’hélicoptère, la confusion est facile avec l’émission d’un radar soviétique installé en Roumanie dit « trans-horizon » et nommé « woodpecker » (pivert, oiseau qui frappe les troncs d’arbres avec son bec) par les radioamateurs, audible sur plusieurs fréquences à cause des harmoniques, et venant se superposer à divers autres signaux. Ainsi, six mois après les faits, l’enregistrement n’avait plus rien d’extraordinaire ; quant à l’ovni…

Laurent apparaissait bientôt comme un petit farceur dépassé par les événements. Pourtant, 18 ans après, en décembre 2006, la revue Inforespace (de la SOBEPS = Société Belge des Phénomènes Spatiaux) publiait, à propos de l’énigme de Nort-sur-Erdre, une étude de 22 pages du professeur Auguste Meessens, un physicien de l’Université Catholique de Louvain, héros de la vague belge de 1989-90.

Par delà une violente diatribe contre les sceptiques et leurs méthodes diffamatoires, notamment dirigées contre son « auguste » personne, dans un texte délayé à la sauce bilieuse, l’auteur révélait enfin deux éléments essentiels ; tout d’abord, les résultats de l’analyse du GEPAN, lesquels, dès 1991 (aucun des organes de presse parlée ou écrite cités ci-dessus n’en a parlé !), établissant que « l’enfant avait triché ». En effet, l’expertise de la bande magnétique avait montré que le son provenait, non pas d’une source extérieure, mais avait été capté « en interne » sur le « mode radio » de l’enregistreur et pas sur le « mode micro » ! Ensuite, dans un paragraphe quasiment honteusement inséré, le professeur Meessens avouait ni plus ni moins qu’en novembre 2005, Laurent, lui avait avoué par téléphone que son histoire n’était pas vraie. Il s’excusait même, non pas pour le préjudice « ufologique », ce qui aurait été la moindre des choses, mais pour les coups reçus par le professeur dans cette affaire !! Magnanime, ce dernier accordait son pardon au petit devenu grand et parlait de Laurent comme d’une victime de l’affaire plutôt que comme un imposteur, ce qu’il était vraiment. Quelle indulgence !

Sur le fond, la contribution du physicien belge visait à démontrer qu’un bruit analogue à celui enregistré par Laurent aurait pu provenir, « au moins en principe » d’un d’ovni si l’on en croit ce qu’on en sait (coque à plaque mince, très solide, mais élastique !) ; en logique scientifique, on appelle cela un raisonnement « tautologique » ; mais surtout c’était l’occasion pour lui de régler ses comptes avec ceux qui avaient osé critiquer ses travaux quand il s’était attaqué de son côté bien naïvement au décorticage du salmigondis sonore écouté puis immortalisé par Laurent entre deux couplets de la chanson Joe-le-taxi.

Une histoire à oublier, malheureusement, sauf pour être plus prudent, au cas où quelque chose d’approchant resurgirait. L’ufologie n’a rien à gagner là dedans.
