The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research.

Two Earth-like Exoplanets Found

Astronomers Anticipate 100 Billion Earth-Like Planets

NASA’s Kepler mission has discovered a 5-planet system that includes a hot Mars and four super-Earths, two of which might host liquid water. These aren’t quite the Earth-like exoplanets Kepler’s been looking for, but they’re close.

In a system 1,200 light-years away, five small planets whizz around an orange star about two-thirds the size of our Sun. One of them is a hot Mars, a planet half the size of Earth that whips around the star every 12.4 days. Another two are hot super-Earths, completing orbits every 5.7 days and 18.2 days. But the final two are the ones that capture the imagination: half again the size of Earth and orbiting in the star’s habitable zone, these worlds could be the pale blue dots we’ve been looking for.

Eric Agol, a University of Washington associate professor of astronomy, has identified Kepler 62f, a small, probably rocky planet orbiting a sun like star in the Lyra constellation. The planet is about 1.4 times the size of Earth, receives about half as much heat and radiation, as Earth and circles its star in 267.3 (Earth) days. It’s one of two “super Earth planets discovered in the star Kepler 62′s habitable zone, that swath of space the right distance from the star to potentially allow liquid water to exist on a planet’s surface, thus giving life a chance. A super-Earth is a planet greater in mass than our own but still smaller than gas giants such as Neptune.

Kepler 62′s other super-Earth, nearby 62e, is 1.61 times Earth’s size, circles the star in 122.4 days and gets about 20 percent more stellar flux than the Earth. The two are the smallest exoplanets — planets outside the solar system — yet found in a host star’s habitable zone.

Eric Agol says, “The planets this small that we have found until now have been very close to their stars and much too hot to be possibly habitable. This is the first one Kepler has found in the habitable zone that satisfies this small size.”  “Kepler 62f is the smallest size and the most promising distance from its star, which by these measures makes it the most similar exoplanet to Earth that has been found by Kepler.” Agol said,

While the sizes of Kepler 62e and 62f are known, Agol said, their mass and densities are not — but every planet found in their size range so far has been rocky, like Earth.

"We Now Have the Technology to Take ET Home"

Jan Harzan the California assistant state director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) recounts his attending a1993, Ben Rich Lecture of the former president of the Lockheed-Martin “Skunkworks” in Palmdale, California.

During the UCLA Alumni association lecture Ben Rich who is known as the "Father of Stealth," and is recognized as one of the world’s best aircraft engineers led development of the heralded F-117 stealth stated, “Lockheed-Martin then had the technology to travel to the stars — using an entirely new technology not dependent on rockets and chemical propellants.” He stated that, “It would not take years to travel to other planets, some UFOs, are theirs and that some of them are ours.”

Ben showed slides and went through the history of the Skunkworks, the U2, and SR-71 and showed a black disk headed for space stating, "We now have the technology to take ET home".  During a Q&A, he stated, “It was now possible to travel to the stars.  There was an error in the
equations which was corrected.  The time of travel is fast, but he didn't say how fast.

Alien Spaceship in Russia

“Back in the 1990s there was a little known, a military base near the town of Odintsovo in the Moscow region where the military and intelligence agencies have covered-up the investigation of the captured alien spacecraft. Odincovo let slip this data in a telephone conversation with me in the mid-to late 1990s. You and your colleagues have taken virtually no tangible and concrete actions or a detailed study and the final publication of this important data for the whole of Russia and the world of ufology.”

My colleagues and I will put an end to your cynical criminal silence and inaction after years of hiding the truth about the alien ship. We are also aware of the three alien disks seized in the United States (two-discs in Arizona in May 1953 and another one in California in the summer 1967) and stored since the 1970s and still in the underground base at Area 12, Rainier Mesa, a Nuclear test site in Nevada.

With regard to the current Russian cover-up since the mid-1980s, an alien disk-UAV is in an underground bunker base at SRF-10-Odincovo that is now closed. This is the only extraterrestrial aircraft in storage and under study in the former Soviet Union and now Russia. Information about other alleged crashes is false. I’m fully aware of the fact that after the publication of this information on the alien disk will likely cause it to be transported to a more distant place in the Urals. Concealment continues in secret from most of the leading Russian aerospace industry professionals who have the right to know about it!

They are hiding and exploring the unmanned extraterrestrial reconnaissance machine which was discovered and captured in Zagorsk region of Moscow, near the village of Nikulskoe and the arsenal at the landfill by engineering troops back in 1979, after falling into the gorge near power lines, for the "Blue" zone defense of Moscow.

Contrary to popular belief, this craft was NOT hit by a missile, and the disc did not shoot anybody, he fell himself as a result of a domestic accidents. The above is confirmed by numerous witnesses. In particular, corporal Krupin Viktor, who served with the MAS technician in the protection of Zhukovsky in the period 1981-1983. In 1982, I personally talked to the officer, who secretly photographed the rescue disk at the crash site on his personal camera. A cordon of soldiers stood near the 1263rd Engineering Corps arsenal Arsaki. KGB and Soviet Interior Ministry personnel cordoned off the crash site for a rescue disk.  In the mid-1980s, after the full range of research and the weight of failed attempts to open the drive enclosure at the time of equipment in the USSR - the disc was hidden in a much more secure and isolated place. The alien disk was placed inside a new bunker underground room in 1986 or 1987 connected to the main building thru a tunnel in the southeastern part of the military base Odincovo of Vlasikha.

Scientists from different research institutions, including and from the NGO "Composite were brought to the bunker periodically mainly materials science.

The diameter of the disc is a small, 6-7 (max -8) meters, unmanned. Dome top and bottom - a small projection and 3 supports. Unfortunately the disc has not opened, and researchers do not have access to the interior and the equipment inside the drone has not been removed. Numerous methods were tried and extreme means were rejected in order to avoid the danger of destruction of the disc. Therefore, there has not been a special introduction of alien technology. The Americans with those things are better, because they have access to the inside of the two captured alien discs.

In Area 51 (Groom Lake) there are no aliens at all. The base-12 in the area is in the foothills - spur of Rainier Mesa and is much better equipped with the latest technology and well-financed from the "Black Budget" of the U.S. with the direct participation of the Lockheed corporation, CIA, U.S. Department of Energy, and NSA and other secret government military and the U.S. intelligence community. There is a super-secret lab there with an alien spaceship. Rainier Mesa is one of four major nuclear test regions within the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) shown here.

To sum up, I note the reality of the extraterrestrial civilizations with conclusive tangible evidence - not just at Area 12 in the Nevada nuclear test site in the United States, but some specialists now SIC RKT , TSNIIMV (now NPO "Composite"), some soldiers and members of the Strategic Missile Forces Base Odintsovo-10 (Vlasikha). Employees of the former KGB and current FSB, hiding and studying for many years captured alien disc.

The US has three alien discs with participation of corporations "Lockheed", "Monsanto", "North American", "Konv"yr", "Boeing Phantom Works" and many others. The list of companies and organizations involved in the United States is very long (Indian Head Division-Navy DOD Center for Energetics, Maryland; North American Air Force Plant No. 85 - Columbus, Ohio - Naval facility); and more, Etc.

America has eight bodies of aliens while the Russians have only one disk-drone.

I propose on behalf of the "Kosmopoisk" and UFO-Russia Union with a proposal to the higher authorities of the Russian Federation - to address a proposal to the leadership of the United States of America - the joint and simultaneous removal of declassification and on a review of the world community in the Russian Federation and the United States. Ancient Maps Hint at Aerial Surveys

There are a series of ancient maps that have turned up at various places around the world such as in China and Turkey that suggest the Earth once held an advanced civilization or that we had been visited by extraterrestrials. Scholars have been able to dismiss most of the evidence has mere myth, but some evidence cannot be dismissed and should be examined with an open mind.

For example, The Piri Re’ Map dated from 1513 Turkey was only rediscovered in 1929, but its authenticity, has been established. The pre-modern world map compiled in 1513 from military intelligence by the Ottoman admiral and cartographer Piri Reis. It shows the coasts of Africa and South America as well as an essentially mountainous Antarctica without the layer of ice that now exists. We also know that Navy personnel who also make maps realized the map these ancient maps had to have been compiled by their kind of people dedicated people.

Navy experts believe the ancient maps were the result of aerial surveys. It's unlikely they had satellite style surveillance, but may have used something along the lines of operations conducted from prehistoric aircraft carriers! They also recognized ancient space travelers might have been responsible. Knowing the correct shape of Antarctica without an ice covering suggests time travel, or penetrating radar and aerial reconnaissance in the ancient past.

UK’s Monuments to Space Ships

Throughout England there are archeological structures carved in the soil that have a similar cylinder shape to UFOs and size and are known as a cursus. They are called cursus because they thought they were race tracks. Cursus was a name given by early British archaeologists to the large parallel lengths of banks with external ditches which they thought were early Roman athletic courses, hence the Latin name cursus, meaning "course". Cursus monuments are now understood to be Neolithic structures and represent some of the oldest prehistoric monumental structures of the British Isles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cursus - cite_note-0 some 3500 years old and built before the circular Stonehenge. Many are over a mile long and the distance between the dug parallel earthworks (shown here) can be up to 100 meters that consists of a bank with an external ditch. They are often aligned next to pre-existing long barrows or prehistoric earth mounds used to bury the dead.

The Cursus monuments are often built over rough terrain crossing streams or valleys. Cursuses became a subject of study when many of them were discovered through aerial photography, and curiosity was piqued as to what their purpose might be. Finds of arrowheads at the terminal ends suggest archery and hunting were important to the builders. It has been conjectured that Cursus were used in rituals connected with ancestor worship, and that they follow astronomical alignments.

It is my theory the Cursus were built over rough terrain as to mark the position of the huge alien Motherships like the one I chased while in the US Air Force. The Cursus may outline the craft’s landing field. The cylinder shape and size match the monuments on the ground as well as the long burrows. Thousands of man hours of work were needed to build the outline to imitate the Motherships who often launch disc shaped craft. Stonehenge which was built later and hundreds of other stone and timber circles could imitate the discs.

Sightings in the United States

 Arizona Lights

  Yavapai desert -- I live within 15 miles SW of Seligman, Arizona and heard a noise under my trailer on September 10, 2011 at 7:45 PM. I thought it was an animal, so I grabbed my rifle and walked to the front of my trailer. I held my rifle in a position to shoot and saw a large flying object that appeared to be on fire.  I lowered my rifle and watched this object fly by in slow motion. It was disc shaped with blue, green, orange, and yellow flames on the top with a tail.

I thought if it crashed it would be a very bad explosion but I didn’t hear anything. This object was very quiet and low, so I grabbed my camera and started taking photos.

The next morning my friend called me and said, “A ufo had been seen in Arizona, Nevada, and California.” I noticed little red spots in the photos and so enlarged them; to my surprise I captured many lights that looked like the uss Enterprise. It flew over the mountains going toward Seligman. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Disc

 Santa Rosa -- I was just pulling into my driveway, when I noticed this bright light to my left. I took my cell phone and snapped these photos on December 10, 2010. The light was traveling pretty fast and heading northwest. I got out of my car and walked to the right side of my garage (see photo) to my walkway and I looked up to see if I could see it and it was gone. I would say all in a matter of a few minutes it flew across the sky.  Please let me know when you get these photos and what you think?

la grange -- While approaching the entrance to Fleming Meadows recreation entrance at Bond’s Flat Road for a typical day of work I saw two large window panels reflecting sunlight from the rear of it on September 12, 2013. I could not take my eyes off of it as it was so blinding me. It was so bright it made me pull my truck off the road. The reflections giving off the light were reflecting the sun that was just coming up to the east over lake Don Pedro. It like a flying submarine and shaped like a bottle rather than any winged plane. It was panning left to right, moving up then down, slightly panning left to right so slowly it was bizarre to see its movement unlike any aircraft I have ever seen.  I knew I was finally witnessing my first UFO and I was excited and trying to get my cell phone to turn on to snap shots. My iPhone was acting up and would not function. I could not even get my Ford Flex system to turn on the Bluetooth to make an emergency call. So I just anxiously continued to watch, I even started to cry a little and asked it to not go away. Please come back, but it did not listen to me.

I was able to make out what was described as a dark coal-colored wine bottle shaped cylindrical object moving slowly before disappearing to the southwest quickly. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Beam

BUNNEL -- This slanted beam of light is on our Moultrie m880 tree cam on April 20, 2013. It was 4 am, and there is nothing that could have reflected light around there.

You can see the times on the cam. Something had to trigger the cam also to start taking photos on our private camp off any highway with nothing but pine trees around.

Illinois Plane

My nephew’s wife saw a large military plane hover for about three minutes making no sound on April 22, 2013.

She had her cell phone and took a picture. She said it looked big and had six engines.... two pointing down.

Again it was silent. She went inside for a minute came out and it had gone. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Lights

MILLVILLE -- My husband saw something in the sky in the backyard on April 5, 2013. He saw orange red lights above the neighbor’s shed.

 It passed over our house and looked like a wing when it passed over and covered the stars in the background behind it. I’m not sure what we saw, but by the time we got to the front of the house it was in the distance and disappeared. During the whole time we saw the flying object there was NO sound.  Edison -- The picture was snapped on April 6, 2013, of a contrail above the area. Of course one could only speculate as to whether the contrail was caused by a stealth aircraft involved in some sort of covert encounter with the UFO.

I am only happy that I could actually take this photograph, and thus provide some sort of proof that this really happened.
Encouraged by friends, I decided to share this with websites such as your own. In case you have some explanation to share, I’ll be glad to hear your opinion.

Mississippi Golf Ball

I walked out my front door around 10 PM, on April 15, 2013, and walked down the driveway and turned around at the house and witnessed a golf ball shape very bright gold glowing orb over my house. It slowly rose up about 25 feet from the ground and paused for about two minutes and flew west very slowly. I thought it was some kind of bug but I knew it wasn’t.

I was about 30 feet from the orb that about 40 feet northwest, blinked three and then disappeared. I saw the same situation happen when I was a child. But the orb was only 10 feet above the ground. It sat there for a few minutes then shot off upwards into the sky really fast. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ohio Disc

DAYTON – While watching my 5 PM news program, one of our reporters was outside reporting about our Fertilizer Storage Plants. In the background there was a UFO the kind that is round with the little tip sticking out on top and a little round silver ball looking thing that was real weird like heat was on the street around it. This was on our Channel 7 CBS, Dayton, Ohio.

CLEVELAND – I saw a massive glowing orb through my night vision camera on April 21, 2013.

I was able to video record and watched as it picked up speed - accelerated and vanished into space.

Oregon Figure

Cannon Beach -- My boys and I were staying at the Schooner Inn on April 13, 2013, enjoying a bonfire on the beach. About 10:30 PM my oldest boy (13 years) noticed, and pointed out there was a figure illuminated and glowing that was traveling either along the shoreline in front of our hotel or out in the water. I caught site of it as it traveled past us and continued on down the beach. It made a sharp right angle turn onto the beach and continued on until it disappeared in the line of houses.

It appeared as a glowing human in form. Also remarkable was that it was traveling at perhaps 25 MPH and not bobbing up and down as you would expect a runner to be. There were others in our hotel standing on their decks and pointing. Another couple came out and said they had seen it as well. We saw no indication that it was a beam of light. It was going too fast and too steady with its whole form a glowing white light. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Texas Disc

 Llano -- I took a picture two years ago and it keeps haunting me because of what turned up in when I reviewed the picture days later on September 18, 2011. First off, I completely believe we are not alone in this universe.

I was out hunting with my friends and because there was no action that day we decided to go out by the pond and do some skeet shooting. I take lots of pictures so this event was something I wanted to capture for my memory book. When I reviewed the pictures after I got home one caught my eye and I could have sworn there is a huge flying disk in the sky and it freaked me out because it looks so real. I did not see it in the sky at the time I took the picture and it does not appear in any of the other pictures I took at that location. I have not tampered with it in anyway. Virginia White Lights on Unique Object

Richmond – I dropped my husband off at the Richmond Airport and I was returning home on March 1, 2013. I just left the airport and was driving on Richmond Airport Connector Road when I saw what I thought was airplane light. It was too early in the morning for a plane to be flying.

As I continued to watch the plane I figured it was a private jet servicing one of the companies in the area. As I watched the object it stopped, and a bright light was shining down. So now I figured that the object must be police and they were looking for something.

As I came up on the object, now on my right side, I noticed that it was an object that I had never seen. It was hovering over the trees, but there was no sound and the trees did not move. The object was a round cylinder; the inside was hollow except for two cylinders that went thru the middle. Half way thru these two cylinders split and made a "V" shape. I was near the object for about a minute, and then the object took off to the northeast.

Washington Hovering Object

Graham 1 -- I was driving from the store and I remember seeing the lights a week ago on April 16, 2013. A couple nights ago it wasn’t there.

I thought it was an airplane, but it was NOT moving when I drove past it. The UFO was hovering about 150 feet in the air over trees that are at least 100 feet high. The thing had two or three lights making it impossible to miss. It looked like a future helicopter from a war movie with two engines making it hover.

When I noticed it wasn’t a plane, I couldn’t stop staring at it. My grandma was also freaking out so it wasn’t just me. I drove down my road to my house with the trees covering the sight of it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Worldwide UFO Sightings

 Argentina Orb

Photographing the sky I saw this foreign object that would seem to be an unknown vessel above northwest Argentina.

I saw it from 12 noon until 16:00 hours in the south on April 18, 2013. Maybe there were two-still in the sky.

Australia Oval

Logan – A black object was seen near a flock of birds looking like floating paper but was too big and then proceeded to move straight and fast on April 9, 2013, at 4:14 PM. This strange shape was around a flock of birds and I noticed it was bigger than the birds. The object seemed to move left to right as if it were a big plastic bag moving through the sky. But then it moved in a straight line and moved quicker.

It was oval in shape but had an indent on the side. The object was about three times the size of one of the birds in the flock nearby. The object was black as seen under a blue afternoon sky. Canada Disc

BRITISH COLUMBIA -- I was walking home with a friend and the bright orange light caught our attention on April 20, 2013. I was curious at first then quickly realized this was not normal. It moved vary slow laterally then picked up speed moving up and then down then disappeared. It lasted about a minute and a half. The light was larger than any light that would have been on a plane or helicopter, and the wrong color. We are past Chinese New Year, so I don't think it was a lantern since it was too big and too high. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Hungary Light

Kecskemét – On April 16, 2013, my girlfriend and I watched out the roof-window while the light lit up very brightly on the evening deep blue faded sky. We thought it was a meteorite of some kind, because the light was like a strong welder from a distance. It traveled exceptionally slowly to the southeast without blinking, but the shape of the light was oval. Since the roof top window is inset the observation lasted only for seconds just before the light moved out of our eye sight.

I instantly ran to the other window but I was unable to find the lightning anymore, however by looking at the speed and trajectory, it should be visible for a long while, but it was gone.

I pointed to the sky showing my girlfriend an airplane crossing this trajectory, even higher it was so faded and the blinking lights, and also the long trail was visible quite clearly. I believe we saw a UFO here. Some years ago I saw one, but nobody except me watched the sky. I was unable to show the others. Strange thing is that it happens and much of the people around us never saw them. It’s almost like most of the people are simply blinded or what. Thanks to MUFON CMS

UK/England Orbs

CROYDON -- I have seen a round object with white blaze coming out taking off from a distance of about three miles on April 8, 2013. Initially I thought it was fireworks, and then realized it’s something unusual. It was taking off and going above me at a 40 degree angle.

I realized it wasn’t fireworks and took my phone out and was able to capture a video of only 21 seconds as my mobile battery got dead. But I saw it go up for further 10-15seconds. I know there is no airport near so it can't be an airplane taking off. It can't be firework as it was going up with relatively less speed and lasted really long.

I did not see it taking off from ground, when I saw it was already 30 to 40 feet above ground and it looked like it was taking off like a flight. I am not sure it was a UFO or not but it was not an airplane, not a toy, not a firework but something unusual. Thanks to MUFON CMS

United Arab Emirates Strange objects above Dubai

Palm Uumeirah – Is an island in Dubai where I live. I was by the beach with a friend and I saw something like 100 small planes moving together in a formation on April 8, 2013, at 11:35 PM. They were flying very close to each other at very high speed. They were green, red, and yellow colors that are planes, but the number was too large, and they were too close to each other. The planes where flying lower than them. They were flying very close to each other and sometimes they go above each other or under.

They were going up but split in different directions till they formed something like a very long irregular line. The security guard also ran to us and saw the whole thing. I tried to film with my insight phone but they were too far away for phone camera to capture them. However, I have a video for the incident. I work as a banker and my friend she is also a banker. The security guard is Egyptian, and my friend is Greek. They then disappeared in the sky, but it lasted for five minutes until they all disappeared. The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race will attempt to accomplish what the Congress has failed to do for forty-five years - seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time. For this reason the motto for the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure is "If the Congress will not do its job, the people will."

Two Promising Places to Live, 1,200 Light-Years From Earth

Astronomers said Thursday that they had found the most Earth-like worlds yet known in the outer cosmos, a pair of planets that appear capable of supporting life and that orbit a star 1,200 light-years from here, in the northern constellation Lyra.

They are the two outermost of five worlds circling a yellowish star slightly smaller and dimmer than our Sun, heretofore anonymous and now destined to be known in the cosmic history books as Kepler 62, after NASA’s Kepler spacecraft, which discovered them. These planets are roughly half again as large as Earth and are presumably balls of rock, perhaps covered by oceans with humid, cloudy skies, although that is at best a highly educated guess.

Nobody will probably ever know if anything lives on these planets, and the odds are that humans will travel there only in their faster-than-light dreams, but the news has sent astronomers into heavenly raptures. William Borucki of NASA’s Ames Research Center, head of the Kepler project, described one of the new worlds as the best site for Life Out There yet found in Kepler’s four-years-and-counting search for other Earths. He treated his team to pizza and beer on his own dime to celebrate the find (this being the age of sequestration). “It’s a big deal,” he said.

Looming brightly in each other’s skies, the two planets circle their star at distances of 37 million and 65 million miles, about as far apart as Mercury and Venus in our solar system. Most significantly, their orbits place them both in the “Goldilocks” zone of lukewarm temperatures suitable for liquid water, the crucial ingredient for Life as We Know It.

Goldilocks would be so jealous.

Previous claims of Goldilocks planets with “just so” orbits snuggled up to red dwarf stars much dimmer and cooler than the Sun have had uncertainties in the size and mass and even the existence of these worlds, said David Charbonneau of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, an exoplanet hunter and member of the Kepler team.

“This is the first planet that ticks both boxes,” Dr. Charbonneau said, speaking of the outermost planet, Kepler 62f. “It’s the right size and the right temperature.” Kepler 62f is 40 percent bigger than Earth and smack in the middle of the habitable zone, with a 267-day year. In an interview, Mr. Borucki called it the best planet Kepler has found.

Its mate, known as Kepler 62e, is slightly larger — 60 percent bigger than Earth — and has a 122-day orbit, placing it on the inner edge of the Goldilocks zone. It is warmer but also probably habitable, astronomers said.

The Kepler 62 system resembles our own solar system, which also has two planets in the habitable zone: Earth — and Mars, which once had water and would still be habitable today if it were more massive and had been able to hang onto its primordial atmosphere.

The Kepler 62 planets continue a string of breakthroughs in the last two decades in which astronomers have gone from detecting the first known planets belonging to other stars, or exoplanets, broiling globs of gas bigger than Jupiter, to being able to discern smaller and smaller more moderate orbs — iceballs like Neptune and, now, bodies only a few times the mass of Earth, known technically as super-Earths. Size matters in planetary affairs because we can’t live under the crushing pressure of gas clouds on a world like Jupiter. Life as We Know It requires solid ground and liquid water — a gentle terrestrial environment, in other words.

Kepler 62’s newfound worlds are not quite small enough to be considered strict replicas of Earth, but the results have strengthened the already strong conviction among astronomers that the galaxy is littered with billions of Earth-size planets, perhaps as many as one per star, and that astronomers will soon find Earth 2.0, as they call it — our lost twin bathing in the rays of an alien sun.

“Kepler and other experiments are finding planets that remind us more and more of home,” said Geoffrey Marcy, a longtime exoplanet hunter at the University of California, Berkeley, and Kepler team member. “It’s an amazing moment in science. We haven’t found Earth 2.0 yet, but we can taste it, smell it, right there on our technological fingertips.”

A team of 60 authors, led by Mr. Borucki, reported the discovery of the Kepler 62 planets on Thursday in an article published online in the journal Science and at a news conference at Ames.

As if that weren’t enough, a group led by Thomas Barclay of Ames and the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute also reported the discovery of a planet 1.7 times as big as Earth hovering on the inner, warmer edge of the Goldilocks zone of Kepler 69, a star almost identical to the Sun, 2,700 light-years distant. At the news conference, Dr. Barclay described the planet as perhaps a “Super-Venus.” The group’s paper was published on Thursday in The Astrophysical Journal.

And in another paper submitted to The Astrophysical Journal, a group led by Lisa Kaltenegger of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, in Heidelberg, Germany, took the first stab at trying to model conditions on the Kepler 62 planets. That is a tough job because the system is too far away for astronomers to measure the masses of these planets, which would allow the densities and compositions of the planets to be pinned down, or to inspect and analyze their atmospheres with telescopes.

Scaling up from the properties of the Earth, Dr. Kaltenegger and her colleagues concluded that both of them were probably ocean worlds with humid, cloudy skies. Any life on them would probably be aquatic, she said, but “it might even be cooler life than we have here. Looking at the oceans, we find a lot of interesting life-forms there.”

Dr. Kaltenegger said she envisioned the pair as a kind of Darwinian test tube and wondered in an e-mail if life would evolve on both worlds and, if so, “Would life evolve ‘the same’ way or would there be very different life?”

“This is huge for the overall life-elsewhere question,” said Sara Seager, a planetary expert at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who was not part of the work.

Alan Boss, a planetary expert at the Carnegie Institution of Washington and a member of the Kepler team, called the new results the capstone of the Kepler mission. “I would argue,” he said in an e-mail, “that if this was all that we learned from Kepler, that the cost of this mission was justified.”

Kepler, launched in March 2009, hunts planets by staring at 150,000 stars in a patch of Milky Way sky, monitoring their brightnesses and looking for blips caused when planets pass in front of their home stars. To date the spacecraft has identified 115 planets and has a list of 2,740 other candidates. (Over all, the world’s astronomers now know of almost 1,000 exoplanets.)

But Kepler, which had its mission extended for four years last spring, is only now coming into its prime. A minimum of three blips is required to register a planet, and so planets like the Earth that take a year to make an orbit are only now coming into view in the Kepler data. Indeed, the new Kepler 62 planets each registered just three transits, as they are called.

But there is a hitch, Dr. Seager and others cautioned. Because the Kepler stars are all so far away — hundreds or thousands of light-years — and the planets we want to find are so small, astronomers will never be quite completely sure what any particular planet is made of or whether anything can or does live there.

In the case of Kepler 62, said Natalie Batalha of San Jose State University, a Kepler scientist, the astronomers had determined the composition of the new planets by comparison to three earlier objects that had similar sizes and turned out to be rocky.

“Mass by association,” Dr. Batalha called it in an e-mail.

Which is fine if all you want is the statistics of the cosmos. As Dr. Seager pointed out, “Kepler was not designed to tell us which planet to go live on, only how common Earth-like planets are.”

 Arizona Lights

  Yavapai desert -- I live within 15 miles SW of Seligman, Arizona and heard a noise under my trailer on September 10, 2011 at 7:45 PM. I thought it was an animal, so I grabbed my rifle and walked to the front of my trailer. I held my rifle in a position to shoot and saw a large flying object that appeared to be on fire.  I lowered my rifle and watched this object fly by in slow motion. It was disc shaped with blue, green, orange, and yellow flames on the top with a tail.

I thought if it crashed it would be a very bad explosion but I didn’t hear anything. This object was very quiet and low, so I grabbed my camera and started taking photos.

The next morning my friend called me and said, “A ufo had been seen in Arizona, Nevada, and California.” I noticed little red spots in the photos and so enlarged them; to my surprise I captured many lights that looked like the uss Enterprise. It flew over the mountains going toward Seligman. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Disc

 Santa Rosa -- I was just pulling into my driveway, when I noticed this bright light to my left. I took my cell phone and snapped these photos on December 10, 2010. The light was traveling pretty fast and heading northwest. I got out of my car and walked to the right side of my garage (see photo) to my walkway and I looked up to see if I could see it and it was gone. I would say all in a matter of a few minutes it flew across the sky.  Please let me know when you get these photos and what you think?

la grange -- While approaching the entrance to Fleming Meadows recreation entrance at Bond’s Flat Road for a typical day of work I saw two large window panels reflecting sunlight from the rear of it on September 12, 2013. I could not take my eyes off of it as it was so blinding me. It was so bright it made me pull my truck off the road. The reflections giving off the light were reflecting the sun that was just coming up to the east over lake Don Pedro. It like a flying submarine and shaped like a bottle rather than any winged plane. It was panning left to right, moving up then down, slightly panning left to right so slowly it was bizarre to see its movement unlike any aircraft I have ever seen.  I knew I was finally witnessing my first UFO and I was excited and trying to get my cell phone to turn on to snap shots. My iPhone was acting up and would not function. I could not even get my Ford Flex system to turn on the Bluetooth to make an emergency call. So I just anxiously continued to watch, I even started to cry a little and asked it to not go away. Please come back, but it did not listen to me.

I was able to make out what was described as a dark coal-colored wine bottle shaped cylindrical object moving slowly before disappearing to the southwest quickly. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Beam

BUNNEL -- This slanted beam of light is on our Moultrie m880 tree cam on April 20, 2013. It was 4 am, and there is nothing that could have reflected light around there.

You can see the times on the cam. Something had to trigger the cam also to start taking photos on our private camp off any highway with nothing but pine trees around.

Illinois Plane

My nephew’s wife saw a large military plane hover for about three minutes making no sound on April 22, 2013.

She had her cell phone and took a picture. She said it looked big and had six engines.... two pointing down.

Again it was silent. She went inside for a minute came out and it had gone. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Lights

MILLVILLE -- My husband saw something in the sky in the backyard on April 5, 2013. He saw orange red lights above the neighbor’s shed.

 It passed over our house and looked like a wing when it passed over and covered the stars in the background behind it. I’m not sure what we saw, but by the time we got to the front of the house it was in the distance and disappeared. During the whole time we saw the flying object there was NO sound. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Edison -- The picture was snapped on April 6, 2013, of a contrail above the area. Of course one could only speculate as to whether the contrail was caused by a stealth aircraft involved in some sort of covert encounter with the UFO.

I am only happy that I could actually take this photograph, and thus provide some sort of proof that this really happened.

Mississippi Golf Ball

I walked out my front door around 10 PM, on April 15, 2013, and walked down the driveway and turned around at the house and witnessed a golf ball shape very bright gold glowing orb over my house. It slowly rose up about 25 feet from the ground and paused for about two minutes and flew west very slowly. I thought it was some kind of bug but I knew it wasn’t.

I was about 30 feet from the orb that about 40 feet northwest, blinked three and then disappeared. I saw the same situation happen when I was a child. But the orb was only 10 feet above the ground. It sat there for a few minutes then shot off upwards into the sky really fast. Thanks to MUFON CMS

DAYTON – While watching my 5 PM news program, one of our reporters was outside reporting about our Fertilizer Storage Plants. In the background there was a UFO the kind that is round with the little tip sticking out on top and a little round silver ball looking thing that was real weird like heat was on the street around it. This was on our Channel 7 CBS, Dayton, Ohio.

CLEVELAND – I saw a massive glowing orb through my night vision camera on April 21, 2013.

I was able to video record and watched as it picked up speed - accelerated and vanished into space.

Cannon Beach -- My boys and I were staying at the Schooner Inn on April 13, 2013, enjoying a bonfire on the beach. About 10:30 PM my oldest boy (13 years) noticed, and pointed out there was a figure illuminated and glowing that was traveling either along the shoreline in front of our hotel or out in the water. I caught site of it as it traveled past us and continued on down the beach. It made a sharp right angle turn onto the beach and continued on until it disappeared in the line of houses.

It appeared as a glowing human in form. Also remarkable was that it was traveling at perhaps 25 MPH and not bobbing up and down as you would expect a runner to be. There were others in our hotel standing on their decks and pointing. Another couple came out and said they had seen it as well. We saw no indication that it was a beam of light. It was going too fast and too steady with its whole form a glowing white light. Thanks to MUFON CMS

 Llano -- I took a picture two years ago and it keeps haunting me because of what turned up in when I reviewed the picture days later on September 18, 2011. First off, I completely believe we are not alone in this universe.

I was out hunting with my friends and because there was no action that day we decided to go out by the pond and do some skeet shooting. I take lots of pictures so this event was something I wanted to capture for my memory book. When I reviewed the pictures after I got home one caught my eye and I could have sworn there is a huge flying disk in the sky and it freaked me out because it looks so real. I did not see it in the sky at the time I took the picture and it does not appear in any of the other pictures I took at that location. I have not tampered with it in anyway. Virginia White Lights on Unique Object

Richmond – I dropped my husband off at the Richmond Airport and I was returning home on March 1, 2013. I just left the airport and was driving on Richmond Airport Connector Road when I saw what I thought was airplane light. It was too early in the morning for a plane to be flying.

As I continued to watch the plane I figured it was a private jet servicing one of the companies in the area. As I watched the object it stopped, and a bright light was shining down. So now I figured that the object must be police and they were looking for something.

As I came up on the object, now on my right side, I noticed that it was an object that I had never seen. It was hovering over the trees, but there was no sound and the trees did not move. The object was a round cylinder; the inside was hollow except for two cylinders that went thru the middle. Half way thru these two cylinders split and made a "V" shape. I was near the object for about a minute, and then the object took off to the northeast.

Washington Hovering Object

Graham 1 -- I was driving from the store and I remember seeing the lights a week ago on April 16, 2013. A couple nights ago it wasn’t there.

I thought it was an airplane, but it was NOT moving when I drove past it. The UFO was hovering about 150 feet in the air over trees that are at least 100 feet high. The thing had two or three lights making it impossible to miss. It looked like a future helicopter from a war movie with two engines making it hover.

When I noticed it wasn’t a plane, I couldn’t stop staring at it. My grandma was also freaking out so it wasn’t just me. I drove down my road to my house with the trees covering the sight of it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Photographing the sky I saw this foreign object that would seem to be an unknown vessel above northwest Argentina.

I saw it from 12 noon until 16:00 hours in the south on April 18, 2013. Maybe there were two-still in the sky.

Australia Oval

Logan – A black object was seen near a flock of birds looking like floating paper but was too big and then proceeded to move straight and fast on April 9, 2013, at 4:14 PM. This strange shape was around a flock of birds and I noticed it was bigger than the birds. The object seemed to move left to right as if it were a big plastic bag moving through the sky. But then it moved in a straight line and moved quicker.

It was oval in shape but had an indent on the side. The object was about three times the size of one of the birds in the flock nearby. The object was black as seen under a blue afternoon sky. BRITISH COLUMBIA -- I was walking home with a friend and the bright orange light caught our attention on April 20, 2013. I was curious at first then quickly realized this was not normal. It moved vary slow laterally then picked up speed moving up and then down then disappeared. It lasted about a minute and a half. The light was larger than any light that would have been on a plane or helicopter, and the wrong color. We are past Chinese New Year, so I don't think it was a lantern since it was too big and too high. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Hungary Light

Kecskemét – On April 16, 2013, my girlfriend and I watched out the roof-window while the light lit up very brightly on the evening deep blue faded sky. We thought it was a meteorite of some kind, because the light was like a strong welder from a distance. It traveled exceptionally slowly to the southeast without blinking, but the shape of the light was oval. Since the roof top window is inset the observation lasted only for seconds just before the light moved out of our eye sight.

I instantly ran to the other window but I was unable to find the lightning anymore, however by looking at the speed and trajectory, it should be visible for a long while, but it was gone.

I pointed to the sky showing my girlfriend an airplane crossing this trajectory, even higher it was so faded and the blinking lights, and also the long trail was visible quite clearly. I believe we saw a UFO here. Some years ago I saw one, but nobody except me watched the sky. I was unable to show the others. Strange thing is that it happens and much of the people around us never saw them. It’s almost like most of the people are simply blinded or what. Thanks to MUFON CMS

CROYDON -- I have seen a round object with white blaze coming out taking off from a distance of about three miles on April 8, 2013. Initially I thought it was fireworks, and then realized it’s something unusual. It was taking off and going above me at a 40 degree angle.

I realized it wasn’t fireworks and took my phone out and was able to capture a video of only 21 seconds as my mobile battery got dead. But I saw it go up for further 10-15seconds. I know there is no airport near so it can't be an airplane taking off. It can't be firework as it was going up with relatively less speed and lasted really long.

I did not see it taking off from ground, when I saw it was already 30 to 40 feet above ground and it looked like it was taking off like a flight. I am not sure it was a UFO or not but it was not an airplane, not a toy, not a firework but something unusual. Thanks to MUFON CMS

United Arab Emirates Strange objects above Dubai

Palm Uumeirah – Is an island in Dubai where I live. I was by the beach with a friend and I saw something like 100 small planes moving together in a formation on April 8, 2013, at 11:35 PM. They were flying very close to each other at very high speed. They were green, red, and yellow colors that are planes, but the number was too large, and they were too close to each other. The planes where flying lower than them. They were flying very close to each other and sometimes they go above each other or under.

They were going up but split in different directions till they formed something like a very long irregular line. The security guard also ran to us and saw the whole thing. I tried to film with my insight phone but they were too far away for phone camera to capture them. However, I have a video for the incident. I work as a banker and my friend she is also a banker. The security guard is Egyptian, and my friend is Greek. They then disappeared in the sky, but it lasted for five minutes until they all disappeared. Le défi des OVNI

La méthodologie "Condon" (VI)

Les manifestations d'OVNI restaient un sujet sensible. En 1967, plusieurs bases de missiles stratégiques du Montana furent survolées par des OVNI : Minot, Great Falls et Malmstrom. Pour la première fois des ogives nucléaires furent déprogrammées sans raison apparente[44].

Devant l'insistance du public et du gouvernement, l'Université du Colorado releva le gant et passa officiellement un contrat avec l'Armée de l’air le 6 octobre 1966. Ce contrat N° F44620-67-C-0035 stipulait que "Les rapports d'observations à étudier seront choisis par l'US Air  Force".

L'enquête qui portait sur l'entièreté du phénomène OVNI depuis 1947 était confiée au professeur de physique Edward U.Condon. Il s'entoura de 36 professionnels, parmi lesquels le Dr Hynek, James McDonald et Carl Sagan, trois savants favorables à la vie extraterrestre, mais non moins rigoureux.

Mais des indiscrétions jetèrent un doute sur la bonne fin de l'enquête. Hynek apprit par ses amis que trois psychologues ne s'accordaient pas sur la matière à étudier. L'un d'eux considérait déjà que les gens "avaient simplement des visions" et refusait d'admettre qu'ils avaient pu observer un phénomène matériel inconnu jusqu'alors. Ainsi que le relatent D.Saunders et R.Harkins[45] dans le questionnaire qu'il proposait aux témoins, le psychologue réservait une page à la description du phénomène... et vingt pour décrire le profil psychologique du témoin. Soyons impartial et rappelons au lecteur que le Dr Saunders plaçait l'hypothèse extraterrestre au centre du débat, au point que dans son esprit, le public considérait que le terme OVNI était synonyme de visites extraterrestres...

Saunders réalisera toutefois un excellent travail, s'attaquant à l'encodage de toutes les notifications du "Blue Book" sur ordinateur, en vue de leur analyse ultérieure; au terme du programme cela représenta 30000 rapports (dont 1200 seront traités par Saunders). Saunders créa également des questionnaires types pour les témoins et des formulaires de notifications pour les enquêteurs. Il fut également chargé d'envoyer des équipes d'enquêteurs sur le terrain afin de valider les événements et d'essayer de les reconstituer. Condon le renverra cependant pour "incompétence", en réalité pour des raisons de dissensions personnelles, et il ne tint pas compte de ces résultats dans son analyse finale.

Alors que Jacques Vallée et Hynek prièrent la Commission d'utiliser la méthode statistique pour mettre en évidence des schémas globaux, communs à toutes les observations, la Commission Condon n'exploita que 87 rapports, dont 14 étaient déjà analysés dans le "Blue Book" et classés comme méprises... une sélection dérisoire qui ne correspondait pas du tout à l'image et à l'importance réelle du phénomène. Pour sa part, le Dr Saunders continua d'analyser les notifications sur ordinateur et finit par rassembler quelque 85000 observations, constituant l'une des plus grosses bases de données informatique sur le phénomène OVNI.

La méthodologie était au centre des débats. Dans un mémorandum[46] daté du 9 août 1966, Robert Low, doyen de l'Université du Colorado écrivait notamment que son établissement souhaitait conserver sa respectabilité : "L'astuce consisterait, à mon avis, à décrire le programme de telle sorte qu'il apparaisse au public comme une étude résolument objective tout en présentant, aux yeux de la communauté scientifique, l'image d'un groupe de sceptiques faisant son possible pour rester objectif mais avec une espérance quasi nulle de trouver une soucoupe". En apprenant la nouvelle, James McDonald écrivit un article dans le magazine Look[47] et le sénateur J.Roush, défenseur des OVNI, dénonça violemment à la Chambre des Représentants la malhonnêteté de l'équipe qui entourait le professeur Condon.

Le 26 janvier 1967, le journal Star-Gazette de l'Etat de New York publia une déclaration du Pr.Condon : "Je tendrais dès maintenant à recommander que le gouvernement abandonne l'affaire. Pour moi, je suis déjà persuadé qu'il n'y a rien là-dedans... mais je ne suis pas censé déposer mes conclusions avant un an encore. Peut-être son étude (celle du problème OVNI) serait-elle valable pour les groupes qui s'intéressent aux phénomènes météorologiques".

Deux mois plus tard Warren Rogers, éditeur du magazine "Look"[48] écrivit avec lucidité à propos de la mission confiée au Pr Condon : “Il est peu probable que ses efforts soient couronnés d’un prix populaire. Il expliquera trop à ceux qui veulent y croire et pas assez à ceux qui n’y croient pas”.

Mais W.Rogers croit encore à cette époque que “Condon conduit cette quête de réponses, armé seulement de curiosité et de logique scientifique”.

En fait, selon le Dr Saunders[49], Condon se préoccupait surtout des aspects farfelus du phénomène OVNI, se moquant gentiment des témoins crédules et des ufologues qui brillaient le titre de scientifiques : "Le psychologue que je suis en était profondément choqué. Peut-être avaient-ils besoin qu'on leur vienne en aide mais sûrement pas que l'on se moque d'eux. C'était comme si Condon avait perdu tout sens des perspectives et sacrifiait ces malheureux pour se débarrasser de ses propres frustrations... Il semble que dès qu'il estimait avoir assez ri d'un cas, il passait à un autre encore plus amusant..."

L'intervention de Condon discrédita complètement l'oeuvre de la Commission et son prestige aux yeux du public. Trois mois après la mise sur pied de la Commission d'enquête, Condon avait déjà trouvé la solution. Ses conclusions étaient tellement triviales qu'il demanda une rallonge de 259146 dollars quelques mois plus tard, qui s'ajoutaient au 313000 dollars initiaux, pour poursuivre une étude inutile...

On peut en rire aujourd'hui ou crier au scandale, mais comme le disait le Dr Hynek[50] en 1953: "La méthode scientifique n'a que faire du sarcasme, et il ne faut pas enseigner au public qu'il en est une partie intégrante...Le flot régulier des rapports, souvent rédigés de concert par plusieurs observateurs valables, soulève la question de l'obligation et de la responsabilité scientifiques. Demeure-t-il, une fois les divers rapports débarrassés des enjolivements et fioritures qui dissimulent avec art leur aridité foncière, un résidu digne de l'attention scientifique ? Et, dans la négative, le public ne doit-il pas en être averti - non pas avec esprit mais avec sérieux, afin de ne pas entamer la confiance publique dans la science et dans les savants ?"

On discutera encore longtemps de l'opinion des personnes "avisées", des "autorités en la matière" ou des "experts". Tous les débats reçoivent un jour ou l'autre de tels scientifiques à leur table, dont les déclarations, surtout en matière d'OVNI, sont préjudiciables à l'entretien d'un bon rapport entre la science et la société. Les propos de ces chercheurs sont souvent perçus comme faisant autorité dans le public. Pourtant, s'ils acceptent d'assister à ce genre d'émission, pour l'heure ils s'écartent délibérément des sciences - et du programme de recherche qu'ils conduisent professionnellement -, mais cela, le public n'en a pas conscience. Il recherche une réponse à ses questions et c'est donc au scientifique de définir les limites de sa démarche. Mais nous y reviendrons en détail lorsque nous discuterons de la philosophie des sciences.

En 1968, la Commission Condon était toujours sur pied, mais stagnant sur place, se perdant en conjectures sur quelques notifications mystérieuses, le physicien de l'atmosphère James McDonald plaida pour que la NASA prenne une part active dans cette démarche scientifique.

Plusieurs ingénieurs des universités de Caltech, Harvard et MIT partageaient son opinion. Le Dr Hynek écrivit plus tard que parmi les notifications relatées dans le "Blue Book", il y avait "quelques cas intéressants, noyés dans un véritable flot d'élucubrations". A l'instar de ses collègues astronomes, il ne croyait pas à la réalité physique d'émissaires d'une civilisation technologiquement avancée, mais reconnaissait l'intérêt du sujet[51] : "s'il n'y a pas d'extraterrestre, eh bien ! nous touchons là à un domaine qui est aussi étranger et inconnu pour nous que l'était l'énergie nucléaire pour Benjamin Franklin". En bref, après avoir accumulé des preuves 20 ans durant, il plaidait en faveur de l'étude du phénomène OVNI.

Le Dr Hynek[52] était également conscient des polémiques que suscitait le sujet et du besoin de l'entourer d'une extrême rigueur. Il écrivit notamment ceci : "Je pense que l'Académie Nationale des Sciences reconnaîtrait sans difficulté qu'une méthodologie scientifique (et il souligne lui-même) doit se garder, en abordant un problème, de la partialité, des idées préconçues et du sarcasme... On ne doit jamais préjuger de la réponse à une recherche à un degré tel que cette anticipation en colore l'orientation. Chaque fois que j'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer les membres et les associés du groupe d'étude de l'Université du Colorado, j'ai pu constater leur réelle objectivité...Par contre il en allait tout autrement du directeur du programme".

En 1969, un volumineux "Rapport Condon" de 1465 pages, richement commenté et illustré fut publié. Il contenait parmi d'autres annexes, un sondage Gallup sur lequel nous reviendrons. Soumis en lecture à l'Académie des Sciences, le rapport fut approuvé. Edward U.Condon[53] déclara dans l'introduction du document : 

"Aucune grande priorité ne saurait être accordée [à la recherche sur les OVNI] au vu de l'analyse des données étalées sur deux décades d'investigations du phénomène. Nous sommes unanimes pour reconnaître que ce travail a été un effort honorable d'utilisation objective des techniques scientifiques appropriées pour trouver une solution au problème OVNI. Le rapport reconnaît qu'il reste des observations d'OVNI difficilement explicables. Néanmoins, le Rapport suggère tant de directions raisonnables et possibles dans lesquelles une explication pourrait être éventuellement trouvée qu'il semble qu'il n'y ait aucune raison de les attribuer à des causes extraterrestres sans preuves convaincantes. Le Rapport montre également les difficultés qu'il y a à appliquer avec quelque chance de succès des méthodes scientifiques à des observations éphémères. Si une étude de certains aspects du sujet (des phénomènes atmosphériques par exemple) peut être intéressante, celle des OVNI, en général, n'est pas une manière prometteuse d'améliorer la compréhension scientifique des phénomènes. Sur la base de nos connaissances actuelles, l'explication la moins probable est l'hypothèse qu'il s'agit de visites d'êtres extraterrestres intelligents. Notre conclusion générale est que rien ou pas grand chose n'est sorti de l'étude des OVNI au cours des 21 années écoulées qui aurait enrichi les connaissances scientifiques, et qu'une étude approfondie des observations d'OVNI n'est pas justifié". 

Cette conclusion était fausse, car elle était fondée sur une minorité de cas. Elle était facilement démontrable si les responsables de la Commission avaient pris la peine d'investiguer dans le détail les 20 cas réellement inexplicables et, par-delà, les centaines d'autres qui n'avaient pas été étudiés. En excluant toutes les observations qui tombaient sous le sens commun, il restait quelques cas typiques qui demeuraient en désaccord avec les lois de la physique moderne. C'est ainsi que les "scientifiques" jugèrent un peu vite que le phénomène OVNI n'apporterait rien à la science.

L'Université du Colorado[54] considéra également que l'armée pouvait dorénavant ignorer le phénomène OVNI : "Il nous paraît [que porter] une si grande attention à ce sujet (les OVNI) ne devrait être considérée par le Département de la Défense que d'un stricte point de vue de la défense. [...] Nous avons l'impression que la fonction de défense pourrait s'effectuer dans le cadre d'opérations d'intelligence et de surveillance sans [l'assistance d'une] unité spéciale telle le Project Blue Book, mais c'est une question qui concerne les spécialistes de la défense plutôt que les chercheurs scientifiques".

L'affaire était close et en décembre 1969, sur bases des conclusions des scientifiques, le Pentagone mit fin aux activités du "Project Blue Book" : "...Ces études ont conclu : (1) qu'ils n'existaient aucune preuve selon lesquelles les notifications d'OVNI représentent une menace pour notre sécurité nationale; (2) l'Armée de l’air n'a reçu aucune preuve ou n'a fait aucune découverte selon laquelle les observations classifiées comme "non identifiées" représentent des développements technologiques ou des principes en avance sur les connaissances scientifiques contemporaines; (3) il n'y a aucune preuve indiquant que les observations classifiées comme "non identifiées" soient des véhicules extraterrestres."

Malgré l'attitude controversée de l'Armée de l’air, elle sortit honorablement de la polémique. Mais aux yeux du public, cette enquête se terminait en queue de poisson et ne répondait toujours pas à ses espérances : les notifications d'OVNI restaient inexpliquées.

“I feel the scientific study of UFOs is for the benefit of humankind and is an important endeavor. The weekly intelligence report provides you with information on the latest sightings and UFO news that you need to understand the world situation.”

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research.

 I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

Commander Graham Bethune told me, “The entities that crashed near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 seemed to be coming home and might be from our Earth’s future”. It is apparent they are unhealthy in appearance like their livers or other organs are damaged, perhaps as the result of an environmental disaster. They may be suffering from radiation poisoning possibly from a nuclear war, environmental chemical poisons, or space radiation. The eye is the most sensitive target for space radiation and long duration stays may lead to detectable opacities and cataracts. The unusually large eyes may reflect repeated damage to the eyes and immune disorders. They also seem to be collecting DNA, fertile eggs and sperm possibly to improve their species and develop offspring that can live in Earth’s atmosphere. Our bacteria and virus strains appear to mutating into stronger diseases and visitors may also be attempting to obtain some of our antibodies that fight these strains.

The entities may have come here to prevent humans from destroying Earth in an attempt to keep the Earth environmentally clean for future generations. Earth is the best planet for life for millions of miles in this part of the galaxy and is a tremendous source of life forms, food, water, minerals, and atmosphere.

It is apparent our government based on President Truman’s orders kept the entities visits and crashes secret because they feared the intentions and abilities of the visitors. My experience has shown our leaders often make decisions similar to what the average person would make knowing the same information.

There have been rumors that humans probably taken by the Grays were found in the crashed craft. There is also an indication the Grays are robotic computerized animals and all look essentially the same.

According to various reports the visitors have large brains and are able transmit their thoughts and read our minds. They obviously have advanced technology and reportedly are able to go through walls, transport people into their craft, and control people’s actions, etc.

Former Air Force Sgt weatherman, Dr. Charles Hall claims he met aliens in Dreamland near Indian Springs, Nevada. He claims, he spent two years working with three different extra-terrestrial races. One race was the tall whites are about 5 feet 11inches who grow taller after age 40 years old.

Nearby Ruth David was the Director of Development Testing at Sandi Labs Tonopah, Nevada, often called Area 52 from 1991 to 1994 and likely has inside knowledge of our latest weapons and activities.

Why Are These Entities Visiting Earth

Entities are probably visiting Earth as a tourist attraction to show other aliens how not to behave. Our tribal wars, crime, and environmental destruction would likely make an interesting study of human nature. They are also worried that our war like activities could be spread out to other planets. Each life form on Earth from the tiniest bacteria to whales may be valuable to an alien race for food or medicine. There is no evidence the aliens plan to destroy Earth or to wipe out humanity. However, they do apparently have interest in human life, minerals, nuclear power plants and weapons. It is possible they desire to take control of the world and settle here if their planet or sun is failing. An alien race trying to take over this planet may attempt to accomplish numerous tasks to make the transition painless.

Several bases have already been set up to house aliens, and conduct detailed reconnaissance. Assuming they wish to settle on Earth a logical plan would be to clean up the environment, to stop crime and wars, and to prevent a guerrilla insurrection. Humanity would need to be convinced that following alien leaders would be beneficial to the average person. Religion is one method to gain support as would an advanced welfare system. Various national leaders would likely be allowed to stay in office if they supported the alien leadership. The aliens may use walk-ins or other methods to control the national leaders. Providing medical aid and saving lives would also gain support. Stopping crime and wars, disarming the military would save billions.

Establishing a New World Order, a New Jerusalem, or Shangri-La on Earth might be possible.

It is quite likely various nations would join together to fight the intruders. PRESIDENT REAGAN stated at the United Nations regarding extraterrestrials in Sept. 21, 1987, `Is not an alien force already among us?"

Scientist and astronomer Dr. Carl Sagan in his book, "Intelligent Life in the Universe" indicated Earth had likely been visited by extraterrestrials numerous times.  He states, "Sumer was an early--perhaps the first -civilization the contemporary sense on the planet Earth.  It was founded in the forth millennium B.C. or earlier.  We don't know where the Sumerians came from.  I feel that if the Sumerian civilization is depicted by the descendents of the Sumerians themselves to be of non-human origin, the relevant legends should be examined carefully." (Page 456)

He goes on to ask, "What might an advanced extraterrestrial civilization want from us?"He answered his own question by stating, "One of the primary motivations for the exploration of the New World was to convert the inhabitants to Christianity -- peacefully if possible -- forcefully if necessary.  Can we exclude the possibility of an extraterrestrial evangelism?"  (Page 463) 

Kenneth Larson writes, “Our nuclear age started in 1945 during World War Two.

  The UFOs might have come en masse soon after and starting in 1947 so as to prevent or stop any future and all-out nuclear war between battling earth-nations so as to save humanity. This could explain UFOs seen hovering over America's nuclear missile weapons sites and reportedly shutting them down temporarily. Concerned UFOs might have been involved with an intelligent Creator described in Genesis and Isaiah and Job of the Bible in the creation.”

Nuclear Fusion Rocket Could Reach Mars in 30 Days

 Space.com reports, “This is a concept image of a spacecraft powered by a fusion-driven rocket with the crew in the forward-most chamber. Solar panels on the sides would collect energy to initiate the process that creates fusion.” (University of Washington, MSNW)

Nuclear fusion, the energy source that fuels the sun could one day propel rockets that allow humans to go to Mars and back in 30 days. Fusion-powered rockets promise to solve problems of deep-space travel. Scientists at the University of Washington and a space-propulsion company named MSNW say they are getting to closer to creating a feasible fuel for travel to other planets.

John Slough, a UW research professor of aeronautics and astronautics says,

"Using existing rocket fuels, it's nearly impossible for humans to explore much beyond Earth; we are hoping to give us a much more powerful source of energy in space that could eventually lead to making interplanetary travel commonplace." Now it takes about 500 days of space travel to make the round trip to Mars. A rocket powered by fusion would make 30- and 90-day expeditions to Mars possible.

Nuclear fusion occurs when the nuclei of two or more atoms combine, resulting in a release of energy. But to use fusion to power a manned spacecraft, a more controlled process is needed.

Lab tests by Slough and his team suggest that nuclear fusion could occur by compressing a specially developed type of plasma to high pressure with a magnetic field. A sand-grain-sized bit of this material would have the same amount of energy as current rocket fuel, the team says.

To get this fuel to propel a rocket to Mars, the team says a powerful magnetic field could be used to cause large metal rings (likely made of lithium) to collapse around the plasma material, compressing it to a fusion state, but only for a few microseconds. Energy from these quick fusion reactions would heat up and ionize the shell of metal formed by the crushed rings. The hot, ionized metal would be shot out of the rocket nozzle at a high speed. Repeating this process roughly every minute would propel the spacecraft, the researchers say. Slough said, “The next step of the team's work is to combine each of the isolated tests they've already completed successfully into a final experiment that produces fusion using this technology.

Saturn’s Rings Sparkle With Water

Saturn’s rings may be vintage jewelry as old as the solar system, and they’re practically sparkling with water ice, according to data from NASA’s Cassini spacecraft.

The findings, released this week in the Astrophysical Journal, give planetary scientists a window into the solar system’s birth and development, and show that the formation of at least one of the planet's 62 known moons may have been a little more complicated than thought. Launched in 1997, the Cassini mission spacecraft is now on its third lifetime exploring Saturn’s complex system and still turning up remarkable new information about the ringed gas giant.

Data from the spacecraft’s visual and infrared mapping spectrometer have revealed how water ice and shades of color are spread through Saturn’s system.

Finding an abundance of water ice -- too much to have been deposited by icy comets ramming into the planet or its moons -- the team of Italian and American scientists realized that the ice must hail from around when the solar system first formed, more than 4 billion years ago. North Korea Danger

There are statements being released claiming North Korea does not have the capability to put a nuclear weapons inside its rudimentary missiles. As a young man I met Igor Sikorsky who told me it is just a matter of time before one nation catches up to another technologically. Enough money or spying will usually obtain the technology you need. In addition with hackers much data is stolen and secrets can be passed from countries like Pakistan to North Korea to Iran.

North Korean media constantly sends aggressive language directed against the US and South Korea and occasionally Japan. When they do act such as the artillery attack on a South Korean island in 2010, you see very clear warnings," The North has consistently warned that military exercises being conducted in the area would spark a retaliation and it is likely they will carry out their threat.

Any time a nation threatens pre-emptive nuclear war, there is cause for concern.

Thirty years old North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un wants to be recognized has a world power. He has lived in a bubble of adoration all his life and his reality is very different than most people. Kim may go too far in his campaign since he may feel he will not be taken seriously unless he shows sizeable military strength with his million man Army, four million reserves and a nuclear missile strategy. The US often tries to ignore North Korea as a matter of policy. Kim  message is “We will not go away; you have to deal with us."

Allegedly, his last missile fired on December 12, 2012, was recovered by US submarines and was more sophisticated than previously thought. The missile cone with dimensions for a nuclear warhead and could likely hit US bases in the Pacific and Japan. Kim Jong Un is in a precarious leadership position and attempting tactics designed to keep him in power. Frankly there are indications he is emotionally unstable.

Japan is on full alert ahead of an expected mid-range missile launch by North Korea, with Patriot missiles stationed in its capital to protect the 30 million people who live there.

In addition to PAC-3 batteries, Aegis destroyers equipped with sea-based interceptor missiles have been deployed in the Sea of Japan near Korea.

Boston Bomb Likely Stops Chance of ET Disclosure

The Citizens Hearing would provide an excellent vehicle for the administration to encourage the news media to support disclosure. The recent terrorist bombings at the Boston Marathon will likely delay any possibility of announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life.  The bombs were apparently inside pressure cookers with nails steel balls and hidden inside a black nylon bag seen  near the curb. Apparently, one suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev a 26 year old is dead after shooting a policeman, and also being killed. Tamerlan was killed late Thursday night after a shootout with police in Watertown, outside Boston. Tamerlan, was originally from Chechnya and a boxer.

Authorities are searching for Dzhokhar A.Tsarnaev, 19, the younger brother of the alleged bombers. The dead suspect brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is a native of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz state news agency said. He was studying at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, university officials said. Thanks to the Boston Globe

UFO Reports Down a third in US after 2012 Spike

UFO reporting in the United States appeared to spike during the summer of 2012 with higher numbers until a significant drop in February 2013 in a trend that continued into March, according to UFO report statistics from both the Mutual UFO Network.

Arizona Abductions

 SUN CITY -- Hello my name is Shirley Goodwin.  I took this picture of a UFO at 3AM the first week of April. I have been an abductee since June 6, 1996, when I lived in Maryvale, Arizona.  I moved to Sun City and I was followed by these Demonic Beings. I know they lay the Chemtrails to hide their vehicles and their personal coming and going.

I was noticing a lot of activity inside my bedroom and had my camera with me when I went outside. I took my camera outside to take a picture of a Chemtrail that I thought would be over my house. There were no Chemtrails but a small plane flew house frequently showed up. When I opened up the memory stick the first photo showed streaks coming from the small plane. I was shocked when I saw the next photo. Whatever this object is I did not see it, I did not hear it but my camera did. Keep up the good work at MUFON because these horrible Beings need all the publicity they can get.  I believe Awareness will one day get rid of them. Thanks to Shirley Goodwin

California Lights

San Diego -- On April 14, 2013, at Imperial Beach several witnesses and I saw three objects flying in the night sky. There was a coastal eddy or marine layer with drizzle all day. About 8 pm, I went outside and started to speak to a person on the phone and I heard a boom and a light appeared in the southwest sky. I said, “I’m seeing something strange in the sky, I’ll call back after I film it.”

An object was flying north along the coast and originated over the ocean then disappeared after five minutes. The second object did the same thing, so I called my neighbors to come out and see it. The third object appeared as soon as the other had disappeared and flew slower over the same path as the others.

The objects were like fireballs very bright and red in color it was absolutely amazing. My dog was freaking out and still is acting weird. I am hoping that someone else saw them. The Total sightings lasted twenty minutes. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Light

Pompano Beach – On April 10, 2013, here are a few pictures taken by my wife before heading to work Wednesday the 10th. At around 8 AM she called it to my attention and there was one more guy taking pictures too.

My wife said there was too much glare against the sun light. She only took the pictures because she saw a guy looking up at the sun who was taking pictures. It was cloudy, but there is a strange color around the light.

Note: It is believed that the witness didn’t see the object, but later discovered it in a photo. It would appear that the light in the photo is a lens flare because the photo was taken in the direction of the sun. Thanks to William Puckett, Director http://www.UFOsnw.com

FALMOUTH -- Have witnessed multiple UFOs every night since February 16th, 2013, with hundreds of pictures, videos and dozens of witnesses now after showing people. Military planes, fighter jets, and helicopters fly over regularly. I have videos of UFOs shooting a red beam onto neighbors houses and what I assume they are doing is abducting people late at night, have witnessed this strange behavior numerous times, at least three separate types of ufos here; flying discs, triangles, and large cigar shaped. Illinois Lights

NORMAL -- I was driving down one of the main streets of town going to my friend’s house on April 5, 2013, and the first thing that I noticed was a very bright low light. As it got closer to my car I noticed that it was a very large triangle shape, about three times the size of an airplane. I pulled out my phone and took five pictures of it. The craft appeared to be black, and had white lights around the sides and on the front, and three rows of red lights underneath the craft. It moved very slowly and appeared to be hovering and it was silent. It didn’t blink like on an aircraft. I watched the craft disappear behind trees five minutes later. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Maryland Disc

Dundalk – I spotted a very beautiful and positive frequency of light on April 10, 2013. It seemed as if they were having fun. Their flight pattern was straight up to the sky, and then coming straight towards me at an alarming rate. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I thought it was a nuclear bomb! Then all of a sudden it reduces its speed and turns like a motorcycle, then increases speed again and turns 90 degrees right of them.

Then the spacecraft moved as if it wanted to be seen. It was like a dish with top as usually interpreted. It had blue lights circulating the dome and every turn had white light sparks. The blue was vibrant and different, and I liked it. I’m just a young man from Baltimore and I have a great video. I promise I’m not exaggerating. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Flew 250 Feet Up Across the Sky

EGG HARBOR -- I was sitting on my back porch watching the doves in the trees I saw a small object coming from the left about 2 or 300 ft. off the ground across the trees in front of me above my house on April 9, 2013. It then looked like a bird to me at first then it looked like balloons and then it got closer, I could see what it was, it looked gun black, about 10 ft round and 6 to 8 ft tall. It looked like a thread bobbing, it flew across the sky, the same speed and until it went out of my sight. It took about 30 seconds to go from left to right, absolutely no noise, it blew my mind. I could not believe I saw that in the sky. I live two miles from the FAA center in New Jersey and know this was not a plane. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Air Force F-102's Chase a UFO Oregon

 PORTLAND -- Just before dawn, police officer Robert Dickerson was cruising the city streets in his patrol car when he noticed a bright falling object like a meteor on September 24, 1959. But instead of "burning out," the object took on a larger, ball-like appearance, stopped abruptly, and hovered about 200 feet above the ground. Its glow lit up juniper trees below it.

The patrolman watched the UFO for several minutes, and then drove toward it on Prineville Highway, turning in at the airport. The UFO changed color from bright white to a duller red-orange color, and dived rapidly to a new position NE of Redmond airport. The object hovered over Redmond Airport southeast of the city of Portland. Patrolman Dickerson, Wertz, and others studied the hovering object through binoculars. The UFO was round and flat, with tongues of "flame" periodically extending from the rim.

At 5:10 am, official logs show the UFO was reported to Seattle Air Route Control Center and Hamilton Air Force Base. The Seattle log continues:

"UFO was also seen on the radar at Klamath Falls Ground Control Intercept (GCI) site. Six F-102 fighters were scrambled from Portland. As they took off, the Air Force radioed the pilots of a B-47 bomber and an F-89 fighter nearby, ordering them to join the chase. The Redmond Observers saw a high speed aircraft approaching from the southwest. The Redmond log continues: "As aircraft approached, UFO took the shape of a mushroom, observed long yellow and red flame from lower side as UFO rose rapidly and disappeared above-clouds." The UFO was seen again hovering 25 miles south of the airport and radar picked up the UFO south of Redmond for about two hours changing altitudes from 5.000 feet to 52.000 feet

Pennsylvania Flashes

Wilkes-Barre, Wyoming Valley -- I take pictures on partly cloudy days such as on April 6, 2013, and you’ll see little flashes like diamonds. When you see the flash start taking pictures but you will not see anything until you review the pictures. Sometimes they are white, or dark round objects but they are always there. They may be drones from bigger craft, or they come from space, or underground. Perhaps they are alive themselves. I know that they are not something I could see without the help of a camera. Colter Bay RV YELLOWSTONE park -- Our family was on the way to Colter Bay as my nephew was taking pictures of the beautiful Grand Teton Mountains on July 18, 2008. He noticed an object on his camera screen. He showed me the camera and I instructed him to continue taking pictures. We never heard or saw anything visual in the sky. All we had was the actual photograph of an object. On the way home, we stopped in Roswell and showed it to the museum. They asked when it was taken and stated, “They had sightings at that same time.” Thanks to MUFON CMS

Australia Mothership

Kingaroy – I was outside admiring the incredibly bright night sky with another person when we observed many unusual orbs darting across the sky on February 21, 2013. Some were meteorites yet others were different altogether. I had a strange feeling that caused me to look over my right shoulder to see a large high altitude object that was moving slowly. Using line of sight and landmarks I determined it was flying in a southerly direction headed south over the Bunya Mountains.

It was higher and much larger than the commercial jets heading north to Queensland. This was a massive mother ship larger than a city in a typical cigar design. The massive cigar object had a bright light at either end and between was the dark shape of the body of the 'vehicle.

I was amazed and could not speak during the event out of shock and excitement. After ten minutes, it moved slowly until it disappeared into the southern horizon around 2:26 am. I have never seen anything like it. We watched until 4 am when we saw another object with a massive bright light and then a swift darting back and forth to the same locations. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Bulgaria Glowing

Kozloduy – On April 11, 2013, a sunny day as I was travelling with my husband back to Kozloduy while taking pictures when I saw a glowing object in the picture that really surprised me, because the sky was almost clear. There were a few little white fluffy clouds, but the object didn't look like them. I actually didn't really see it. To make sure that it wasn’t some defect on my lens, I took some more pictures, but the object didn't show again. After we saw that picture we joked "What the aliens would be searching for in a small village like Butan? Now seriously, I don't know what to think. Thanks to MUFON CMS

CHILLIWACK – On April 15,2013, I was on a 4th floor apartment looking east, south east and seen a red/orange round light/orb pulsating and rising in altitude, seems to be going away from me. It wasn’t a plane and it was bigger than a star. It reminded me of a signal flare but not as bright as that. It got higher and dimmer and looked like it went into the cloud eventually. Malayer -- Every year on the second of April my large family goes on a picnic where I was taking numerous photos with my mobile phone. In one photo an unidentified flying object is present. I never saw it, but it is in my photo. Please research about it and see if it was observed in other places? I used my mobile Galaxy Gio 3.2 MP camera. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Netherlands Lights

ZEELAND – On March 20, 2013, I was driving my car and saw two lights under a cloud. It was bizarre as I saw the light disappearing after looking after it for three minutes. I was happy that I was able to see it well while I was driving. I stopped my car and watched for six minutes before it disappeared. I didn’t get a photo because I didn't have my cell phone or camera with me. But I got a bizarre video of something; bit I don’t know what it is. Maybe you know. There are two things on one video. First a weird cloud, and a second a black stripe out of space. In the future I’ll never forget my camera again for the lights. Thanks to MUFON CMS
