Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

An Australian rancher in Rosedale, Victoria is wakened by the sound of frightened animals in the early morning hours. He immediately thinks it is cattle rustlers, so rushes out to the field where his animals are. That's when he sees an object hovering above a large water tank. He hears a loud, piercing sound as a black tube-like object comes out of the ship. When the object speeds away, the farmhand discovers that the 10,000-gallon water tank is empty.
Part 2: FRENCH CONNECTION: OCTOBER 21, 1982 -
A biologist is working in his garden in the town of Nancy, France during the daylight hours. He spots a small saucer-shaped craft in the distance, which he initially assumes is a plane. As it descends, he runs for shelter as it heads straight for his garden and hovers about a metre off the ground. He observes the craft for 20 minutes. When it leaves, he discovers that all of his amaranth plants have wilted as if affected by an electromagnetic field.

Dit is precies wat in het binnenste van een zwart gat gebeurt. Zwarte gaten zijn in feite de resten van gigantische sterren. Wanneer dergelijke sterren geen brandstof meer hebben, implodeert hun kern. In het centrum van vrijwel ieder sterrenstelsel zijn zwarte gaten gevonden, waarvan sommige meer dan miljoenen keren groter zijn dan onze zon.
Natuurkundigen als Nikodem Poplawski zeggen dat de materie in een zwart gat een punt bereikt waarop het niet verder in elkaar kan worden gedrukt. Dit ‘zaadje’ mag dan ongelooflijk klein zijn, maar weegt meer dan een miljard zonnen.
Wortel
Materie wordt op een bepaald moment niet verder ineengedrukt omdat zwarte gaten extreem snel ronddraaien, aldus Poplawski. Volgens de natuurkundige is een zwart gat een deur naar een ander universum.
Met andere woorden, als je in het zwarte gat in de Melkweg valt is het mogelijk dat je uitkomt in een ander universum. Dit universum bevindt zich niet in het onze, maar kan worden gezien als een wortel die twee bomen met elkaar delen.

Astrobioloog Richard Hoover werkte meer dan 46 jaar voor NASA. Hij werd vooral bekend vanwege zijn onderzoek naar microfossielen in meteorieten.
Hoover, die buitenaards leven in meteorieten zegt te hebben gevonden, is momenteel verbonden aan de Athens State University en de Universiteit van Buckingham.
“Ik ben er zeker van dat leven niet beperkt is tot de aarde omdat ik resten van levensvormen heb gevonden die geen aardse herkomst hebben,” zei Hoover.
Over een vermeend organisme dat door Marsrover Opportunity is gefotografeerd zei Hoover het volgende: “In 2004 maakte Opportunity een foto van een fascinerende structuur met eigenschappen die doen denken aan organismen die op aarde bekend staan als zeelelies, dus het zijn dieren! Enkele uren na het maken van de foto werd de steen met het mogelijke fossiel van een zeer interessant organisme vernietigd door een stuk gereedschap van de Marswagen.”
De structuur zou zijn vernietigd om ‘in de steen naar koolstof te zoeken’. “Eenieder die werkzaam is als paleontoloog weet echter dat je niet naar koolstof hoeft te zoeken om een fossiel te vinden,” legde Hoover uit.

Allentown, PA: Thank you for accepting me. I’m glad I came across this site. Because I do have a question. Last May (2013) I was walking into a Farmers Market and there were 2 people standing at the pizza bar talking but as I was right by them they stopped. I remember seeing the tops of 3 childrens heads lined up on the other side of the pizza bar. Hair was identical like triplets but could not see any faces. But as I walked past them I felt compelled to turn around to look at them because something didnt seem right. Well the adults were standing there like stoic soldiers just staring at me. The 3 little ones didnt move a hair. What was ironic was that the so-called mother and father looked alike. She had not quite shoulder length blonde hair, he had dark hair. But they looked identical. Their eyes looked normal not like the black eyed children. And yet at no time did the children move. Then I just turned and walked away. Wish I just would have done a round trip around the corner and see if they were still there. Oh yeah and that reminds me, it was almost as if they knew I was coming there or knew me or had some kind of connection because as soon as I walked in they stopped talking and then were learing at me. It has been on my mind ever since it happened. It didnt scare me and I dont feel like Im being followed. My first thought about it was were they hybrids! It really was a freaky experience. My late uncle lived in Punta Gorda and worked heavy machinery back in the swamps digging out canals. He spend a lot of time helping to lay out North Port. His best friend, also now deceased, had a similar job in Ft. Myers. Once while visiting my uncle he told me three UFO stories after the subject arose. One was that his best friend in Ft. Myers had witnessed a saucer shaped craft land out in the swamp, in the daylight, while working. He tried to sneak up on it but it took off before he could. This would have been in the 60s or 70s. His other story was of coming back from dinner with my aunt from Ft. Myers and on one of the dual bridges, seeing a large dark object apparently siphoning energy from the power lines from the opposite bridge. BTW, my ex-brother in law told me he saw the exact same type thing east of Sarasota in either the 70s or 80s. The third sighting was by my uncle and my late grandfather after WWII when he was young, probably early teens. They saw an object doing incredible maneuvers, around Jacksonville, Fl, in the daylight during a car trip. He knew it wasn’t any known craft because he was fascinated with airplanes and knew all types of craft. Your post on the SW Florida sightings reminded me of his stories. And he was the kind of guy that gave his word, didn’t lie, lifelong NRA member, Florida Cracker, etc.. I was pretty blown away that day he, and my aunt, told me about their sighting and the other stories. They both said that UFOs were real and here visiting. Wow. Now, to give you an idea of how level headed they were on the subject they also told us this story. They eventually moved to the mountains of NC. One early evening Venus was especially stunning and some of the people of the valley freaked out and started to pack up thinking aliens were invading! My uncle just called them fools, told them it was only Venus. So he’s the type that is smart enough not to fall for common identifications. Bill
Eyewitness states: ”I was sitting at the courthouse today flipping through my Mars Images application when this one popped up! Totally awesome! There looks like cut blocks, statues, work equipment, and even machinery spread around this whole area. What do you think? Just plain old rocks ehh? As always I give you the photo directly from the NASA website.”
Several interesting UFO videos have surfaced from Mexico in the last few weeks. The Epoch Times features them on a story about UFO videos from February of this year, although one of the videos was actually on the last day of January.
The first video was filmed at 8 pm on January 31, 2014, according to the YouTuber who posted it. The account is under the name CHIVASHALOMEX. The video was taken in the city of Cuautla in the Mexican county of Morelos.
The account holder appears to be mostly interested in videos games and animation. There aren’t any other UFO videos posted on the account, and the account is several years old. This lends credibility to the video, because this person does not seem to be a habitual hoaxer. Also, many hoaxed videos are on brand new accounts with no history.
The witness says he took the video from the patio of his house.
The second video was taken about the same time of day as the first – 8:26 pm to be exact – on February 10. This video was taken in the Atizapán de Zaragoza area of Mexico City by UFO hunter José Luis Rueda. Rueda posted the video on YouTube where he posts his other investigations into paranormal phenomena.
This video was made using a Yukon Ranger night vision system, and it shows three white dots in a triangular formation. You can tell from the description that Rueda is very excited about the video. He says it is excellent and that he and his research colleagues had never seen anything like it. He says it is clearly a triangular UFO.
The third video was filmed at 10 pm the next day, February 11. It was filmed near the Caucel police station in the town of Merida in the state of Yucatan, Mexcio. It was posted on YouTube by Solomon Mayorga.
Mayorga says he is not claiming that the object is a ship, but that it is an unidentified flying object, making it a UFO. He says it is the first time he has recorded anything like this.
Mayorga’s YouTube account mostly contains video of news items and safety videos. The account has been open for several years. All of this, like CHIVASHALOMEX’s account, lends to the credibility of the sighting. Whether or not the object is truly anomalous, Mayorga appears to be genuine, and not a hoaxer.
His video shows a bright object zipping back and forth in the night sky. Like the other videos, some have suggested it is a drone or quadcopter. Others have suggested that perhaps these videos are of top secret advanced aircraft from the US.

The thought of such weapons of mass destruction flying about in our air space is not one we ever wish to contemplate. It‘s the stuff of our darkest fears and nightmares.
Others have suggested some type of a UFO, yet the possibility of a condensation trail from a jet air liner does at this point seem the most rational explanation herein. Let’s hope it is so.
I keep an open mind, yet one that is extremely suspicious of all politicians and their true hidden agendas. As a prior example, perhaps we should recall the alleged man made-global warming (bang up the green taxes) fiasco beloved of the vast majority of self-righteous politicians.
Historically, the Chinese are a judicious people with much cultural wisdom to offer the world. They are painfully aware of what nukes can do, when recalling WW11 activity against neighbouring Japan and the severe ramifications of such actions. Would they really wish to invoke a dose of the same, via radical anti-US actions off the South Californian Coast?
I am also aware that clever politicians just love to create unsubstantiated trepidation as a method of controlling mass public consciousness at times, as a way to promote their agendas. Very often – what we see is NOT what we are getting!

The answer to whether or not we are alone in the universe could be right under our nose, or, more literally, inside every cell in our body.
Could our genes have an intelligently designed “manufacturer’s stamp” inside them, written eons ago elsewhere in our galaxy? Such a “designer label” would be an indelible stamp of a master extraterrestrial civilization that preceded us by many millions or billions of years. As their ultimate legacy, they recast the Milky Way in their own biological image.
Vladimir I. shCherbak of al-Farabi Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan, and Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute, hypothesize that an intelligent signal embedded in our genetic code would be a mathematical and semantic message that cannot be accounted for by Darwinian evolution. They call it “biological SETI.” What’s more, they argue that the scheme has much greater longevity and chance of detecting E.T. than a transient extraterrestrial radio transmission.
Writing in the journal Icarus, they assert: “Once fixed, the code might stay unchanged over cosmological timescales; in fact, it is the most durable construct known. Therefore it represents an exceptionally reliable storage for an intelligent signature. Once the genome is appropriately rewritten the new code with a signature will stay frozen in the cell and its progeny, which might then be delivered through space and time.”
To pass the designer label test, any patterns in the genetic code must be highly statistically significant and possess intelligent-like features that are inconsistent with any natural know process, say the authors.
They go on to argue that their detailed analysis that the human genome (map here) displays a thorough precision-type orderliness in the mapping between DNA’s nucleotides and amino acids. “Simple arrangements of the code reveal an ensemble of arithmetical and ideographical patterns of symbolic language.” They say this includes the use of decimal notation, logical transformations, and the use of the abstract symbol of zero. “Accurate and systematic, these underlying patterns appear as a product of precision logic and nontrivial computing,” they assert.

This interpretation leads them to a farfetched conclusion: that the genetic code, “appears that it was invented outside the solar system already several billions years ago.” This statement endorses the idea of panspermia, the hypothesis that Earth was seeded with interstellar life. It’s certainly a novel and bold approach to galaxy conquest if we imagine this was a deliberate Johnny Appleseed endeavor by super-beings.
However, there are other possibilities too. I’ve previously written about the far-out notion that the universe we observe was built just for us and exists inside a computer program (with apologies to The Matrix film trilogy). Therefore the idea that some programmer somewhere wrote the genetic code for life in their model universe is consistent with the authors’ suggestions.
Biological seti inevitably smacks head-on into an idea that is completely antithetical to science: the concept of intelligent design (ID). The proposition of ID is that our biology is so complex it must have been engineered by a higher power.
ANALYSIS: Space Algae Invasion? Probably Not
To date, ID has been nothing more than biblical creationism in sheep’s clothing. Christian fundamentalists use it to push the teaching of creationism in schools as an alternative to “secular” evolution. (Which, by the way, is now being battled in school systems in four states.)
Can the claim of an alien signature in our genetic code be any more believable, or provable than biblical ID?
We know so little about the origin of life on Earth it seems presumptive to identify genetic structure that supposedly defies a natural explanation. Even the discovery of life elsewhere in the solar system would not provide an independent test of this idea. Panspermia could have naturally occurred among the planets and moons.
And, even if the genetic code is ultimately considered the handprint of an extraterrestrial grand designer, then who designed the designer?

So here I sit at 37,000 feet breathing recycled air for the ninth time in three months pondering my existence upon this blue sphere and what precisely I am doing here. I’ve come to two immediate conclusions: the first is that I haven’t the foggiest idea and the second is that maybe my purpose is to bring some level of awareness to people about the existence of extraterrestrials and its ultimate impact upon humanity as we know it. Peering out at these crimson tinted cloud tops I imagine a massive UFO silently slipping across the expanse beneath this plane in my minds eye and nobody else on this plane giving even the slightest care in the world about it. I can see the mentally preoccupied CFO in business class catch it out of the corner of his eye and think to himself “that`ll make a great tweet when I land…” Sometimes I wonder if anyone still cares about full disclosure of the ET reality anymore?
Personally, I would like to believe its still on our collective bucket lists, as a society, but it seems more and more that’s no longer the case. Given the choice most people would pick a new iPad over the revelation that we’re not alone in the universe. Have we lost the way or have we all just become so complacent that we truly don’t care as much as we should about this topic? Mainstream news has denigrated and demeaned the topic of Ufology to the point of being no different than a face eating cannibal in Miami or a water skiing bulldog in Michigan. It’s fringe entertainment meant only to be consumed in bite sized increments, listed under the tagline odd news, filler for the gaps between senators tweeting photos of their junk to the world and drunk celebs punching the paparazzi — you know, the real news.
A number of years ago during a trip to the Galapagos I met an extraordinary individual and we became lifelong friends. He was a retired air force pilot and ex Vietnam POW who spent a number of years in that most famous of all hotels. Once he opened up about his experience I was able to bring up exceedingly more fringe topics with him, including UFOs. When he returned to the US the military basically said to him, you can do whatever you want in the air force, just tell us what that is and we’ll make it happen for you.
“I want to work on Project Bluebook.” was his answer. Their response, “Anything but that.”
So he became a flight instructor and, just like that, left his curiosity of the whole UFO topic behind him. The way he put it was that you don’t ask questions, you don’t open that door again because it’s closed. Move along, there’s nothing to see here. He said the last thing they want is for any of it to really get out of the bag, and what does get out is usually allowed out for some specific reason. He went on to have several incredible UFO-related experiences in his career as a pilot, but I can’t go into that here, nor is that the point of this article.
My point here is that full disclosure isn’t going to come about without a fight. There will be blood and lives will be destroyed in the process. The powers that be are going to try as hard as possible to keep this knowledge from going public. Why? Because entire industries will collapse when it’s ultimately revealed that we don’t even need oil or combustion engines, that everything we’ve built around us is resting on the foundation of a grand deception, the darkest most elaborate lie in the history of humankind. The revelation that we’re not alone will be a domino effect that ripples throughout the world. Most people, I feel, will accept if not fully embrace this knowledge with a positive attitude. But for as many positive effects there will be negative as well. Once it truly sinks in that humankind has been lied to for decades, that we do have clean zero point energy, that we do have the power to cure horrible illnesses, that we don’t have to be shackled to the hydrocarbons that we’re slowly killing our planet with… that’s when the bliss of knowing we’re not alone in the universe will be replaced with total outrage.
What most people don’t realize is that full disclosure will be similar to a worldwide natural calamity. Most people immediately think the first thing to collapse will be organized religion. I think that’s short-sighted at best. People will choose to stick to their belief system whether it’s challenged by the concept of aliens or not, and even if they don’t it doesn’t much matter in the grand scheme of things. I think it would be most evident among government scientists and engineers who would have to deal with the fact that their employer has been lying to them and feeding them false data all along. More importantly, the grim revelation that many of their fundamental beliefs in science might be wrong. In 1960 the Brookings Institute study “Implications of a Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life” looked at this very situation. “It has been speculated that of all groups, scientists and engineers might be the most devastated by the discovery of relatively superior creatures, since these professions are most clearly associated with the mastery of nature, rather than with the understanding and expression of man.” So when you ask yourself why the government is so keen on keeping the lid on this whole topic just think about how many different industries would be affected, think about how many jobs would be impacted, think about the economics of it all. Retooling an economy based almost entirely on oil would be extremely disruptive to society, to say the least. But potentially the biggest problem will be the blowback upon governments of the world by their own populace, the people will demand an explanation for the lies, coverups and ridicule. Once this cat is out of the bag, it opens the door to potential chaos. It truly is Pandora’s Box and nothing will ever be the same again.
There will inevitably be a huge shift in credibility, once the government discloses this information they will lose all credibility on the subject after decades of lies. This distrust will become all encompassing and credibility will suddenly shift from the government to the Ufology community. Mainstream media and the public at large will look to the Ufology researchers for straight answers.
Yet, there has already been disclosure on some levels. Recovered alien technology was what seeded private industry in the decades after Roswell, as Philip Corso lays out in his book The Day After Roswell. It was the catalyst for the technology that is currently integrated into every aspect of our lives right now. As early as the 1960′s we had the ability to escape earth’s gravity in a craft the size of a fighter jet using electrogravitic technology. In the 1970′s and 80′s research centers such as Bell Labs and Xerox PARC were busily reverse-engineering recovered ‘foreign technology’ and functional computational linguistics which led to massive leaps in technology. In the 1990′s and 2000′s the focus was on miniaturization of components and exceedingly fast computer components, stealth technologies and UAV’s.
Don Phillips (Contractor, USAF, CIA, Lockheed Skunkworks) testified on record about his direct involvement with ‘extraterrestrial devices.’ I won’t go into detail here but it’s well worth watching his entire testimony. Don’s boss, Ben Rich, was famously quoted as saying, “We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an Act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.” For the benefit of humanity, that’s the key phrase here. Rich even went as far to say that ESP is part of the key to interstellar travel. So there’s simply no question that our current level of technology in 2014 is far beyond what any of us can possibly fathom. There are military craft that are mistaken for UFO’s, and vice-versa. The state-of-the-art has likely reached the point where one is indistinguishable from the other.
But that certainly doesn’t mean the military went Full Monty with the recovered alien technology they had in their possession either. The truly earth-shattering stuff–like propulsion systems, weapons and medical scanners–were kept safely in the hands of the government and placed into compartmentalized special access programs, presumably for eternity. Sure, they let specific things like transistors, fiber optics and night vision escape into the private sector, but that was all intentional, it was all part of a larger plan under their tight control. It’s what they have right now which they’re never going to share with us that could irrevocably change the entire planet.
Imagine a world where we could mothball every nuclear power plant, oil refinery and coal fired facility on the planet in a handful of years because our new alternative energy source is free, clean and harmless? Imagine never having to drill for oil in the ocean again! It might not be a stretch of the imagination for our open-minded readers, but Wall Street might have a decidedly less positive reaction. Remember that ripple effect I was talking about, well it applies triple in the case of economics. Regardless of whether or not Paul Krugman thinks an alien invasion would fix the economy, it doesn’t take into account the fact that we already have the technology to provide endless renewable power for entire cities thanks to this perceived ‘alien threat.’ It’s a typical human approach to assume that the only way to boost a failing economy is through conflict and the manufacture of weapons to fuel it. Let’s face it, if the visitors wanted to invade this planet, we’d already be done for by now. It’s not at all about invasion, it’s about our own government(s) withholding world altering technology that could benefit everyone, and it’s happening right now as I type this.
What full disclosure really means is the end to a way of thinking about everything, not just our place in the universe but how we perceive everything we have created as a society thus far. The ramifications are wide ranging and will touch every aspect of our lives. It’s a game changer of epic proportions and our government will continue to spend billions of dollars to make sure everything remains copacetic. Don’t ask questions, don’t open that door… just go about your lives working, paying the mortgage and filling up your car with petrol. To the powers that be the very concept of the existence of alien life, much less the reverse-engineering of alien technology, shouldn’t even be occupying a thought process in our brains. Nothing to see here folks, move along…

I’ve come to two new conclusions: the first is that my purpose is to bring some level of awareness to people about the existence of extraterrestrials and its ultimate impact upon humanity as we know it. The second is that full disclosure is not going to be a basket of kittens. It’s going to be a messy, chaotic and quite possibly terrifying experience for everyone. Everything we know will change on a fundamental level overnight and we will all be forced to accept the negative effects along with the ultimately positive outcome.
Full disclosure of the ET reality is going to happen in our lifetime and we’re all going to have a front row seat as we hit this crossroads in our evolution as a species. Each of us needs to be prepared for it mentally, emotionally and spiritually so keep your minds and hearts open and always remain positive.

Maybe those science-fiction scenarios about killer robots fromspace invading the Earth aren’t so far-fetched after all.
Aliens bearing little resemblance to Steven Spielberg’s cuddly “ET” might actually eye Earth for its potential slaves and to plunder its natural resources, say scientists interviewed in “Aliens: The Definitive Guide,” a new documentary being broadcast Sunday on Discovery Canada.
In short, they might be a lot like humans were when they explored new lands.
But don’t go running for the shelters just yet.
Even if aliens are headed for us now, space travel can take thousands of years using currently known technology, which probably rules out the possibility of any malevolent ETs touching down during our lifetime, anyway.
Producer Alan Handel says aliens are a “never-ending preoccupation” for people, so making the documentary was a no-brainer. He says surveys indicate that many Canadians believe extra-terrestrials exist and may already have dropped in.
“I just think it’s a really neat concept to say ‘OK, let’s take it seriously and let’s go to some of the best scientific minds in the world and see what they have to say.’”
However, “Aliens: The Definitive Guide” isn’t a tale of extra-terrestrial terror and instead entertainingly poses an exhaustive list of questions about who may be beyond the stars.
What planets might have life? How might its inhabitants get here? What would they look like? And what are their possible intentions?
These are some of the queries pondered in the two-hour film by Montreal’s Handel Productions and U.K.-based Arrow Media.
A theoretical physicist at City University of NEW YORK scoffs at anyone who tries to suggest we’re the only life forms in the universe.
“Gimme a break,” Michio Kaku says in the documentary.
“I mean, how many stars are out there in the universe anyway? The Hubble Space Telescope can see about a 100 billion galaxies — that’s the visible universe,” he says. “Each galaxy consists of 100 billion stars. Do the math.”
For the benefit of viewers who might be a little less adapt at math than your average theoretical physicist, Kaku is kind enough to provide the tally: “10 sextillion — that’s one with 22 zeros after it.”
All the scientists agreed that any alien who touched down on Earth would be pretty advanced scientifically.
It’s not the first time Handel has tackled a subject that would be considered more in the realm of sensational supermarket tabloids. Their last definitive guide documentary was on Bigfoot and the next one in the works looks at time travel.
“We tried to have a lot of fun with it,” Handel says of the “Aliens” documentary. “There’s a playful tone at times.”
Handel describes himself as a “professional skeptic” when it comes to extra-terrestrial life and UFOs.
He says he was surprised by the number of planets that might support life in some form and the extent of the likelihood that alien life could visit Earth.
“It was really surprising to me. I had no idea. I think it’s a program that’s full of surprises and revelations and information that will be new to most viewers.”
He noted that science fiction can often cross the line into science fact, and pointed to one of his other previous films, “How William Shatner Changed The World.” That documentary discussed how some technology in the old “Star Trek” TV shows and movies had actually become real.
“A lot of stuff that seemed far-fetched back then was in fact really pretty visionary,” he said.
“It’s interesting to do a kind of reality check on science fiction and see how far away we are from that vision being real, or real down the road.”

Et ces lumières ne se situaient pas au-dessus d’une zone urbanisée, mais au-dessus d’un camp militaire de l’USAF comme Maccabee et d’autres l’ont montré en triangulant diverses observations. Les prétendues incompatibilités avec des flares — pas de fumée visible, immobilité apparente… — ont été correctement expliquées.

2/17/2014 – I was driving my tractor trailer north on US15, approximately 4-5 miles south of the intersection of PA44. Straight above the Susquehanna River, to my northeast, also, in the direction of Watsontown, PA, I saw two bright white lights. They were probably about 1.5-2 miles away when I first saw them. Maybe even slightly farther. I thought it was an aircraft that had taken off from Montoursville regional airport, heading south. But as I drove further, I realized the lights were not moving. I would describe them as very bright white, large-looking headlights. They appeared to be pointing towards the river, as a beam projected from them straight down. I would guess the beam only projected about 25-40 from the craft, which was around 600-800 feet above the river. The entire duration of seeing it was probably about 3-4 minutes or so. I slowed my speed from 55-60 to low 40s once I realized the object was not moving. The truck seemed to drive itself as I got “lost” watching this. This may sound odd, but I had an overwhelming feeling that “nothing was going on”. That’s the best way I can describe how I felt.
There was nowhere for me to pull my truck over until a mile or so down the road, where I know of a small diesel station where I have been before. In hindsight, I regret not pulling into the shoulder to film it. I was able to capture a 20 second iPhone5 video of it. The video is shaky because I was still driving, and using elbows to steer. The object appears to be moving because the phone is bouncing everywhere. The object was definitely not moving though. When I pulled into the diesel station, trees and a ridge blocked any view I could have had.
I also pinned on an iPhone map where the object was. It is the PURPLE pin, not the red pin. Red pin denotes the town of Dewart, PA, which I simply searched as a starting place to pinpoint location. I am born and raised about 15 miles from this location, I drive the roads often, and am very literate with maps. The purple pin is an accurate location.
Before I filmed, I zoomed iPhones video camera because with no zoom it probably would not not have picked up the lights. Although the zoom does increase blurriness, it was necessary here. – MUFON CMS

Chihuahuas are apparently overrunning Maryvale, a Phoenix neighborhood, where animal control officers report stray dogs.
Officials said foreclosures and undocumented workers being forced away led to a large number of small dogs running wild. Animal control workers said they’ve had thousands of calls about stray Chihuahuas.
“If at all possible, if you see a stray, if you can safely contain him in your yard and then call us, that makes a big difference. Because what’s happening is people are calling saying, ‘hey I see a stray’ by the time we get there, it’s long gone,” Melissa Gable, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, said.

Last night, a giant asteroid was supposed to streak by the Earth, close enough for us to catch a glimpse as it zipped by. Except it never showed, and now astronomers say they have no idea just where the 900-foot asteroid has gone.
So, just how does one misplace an asteroid the size of three football fields? The most likely explanation is that its orbit was miscalculated. Even with its current whereabouts unknown, the near earth asteroid poses no present danger to Earth — in fact, if anything, its loss indicates that 2000 EM26 is probably further out in space that was originally thought.
Still, the Slooh observatory is trying to track down the asteroid using robotic telescopes, and has also asked amateur astronomers to help out with the search. “We don’t have the authority to name the asteroid after [its finders],” the observatory said, “but we would if we could.”
Of course, if the incentive of not having an asteroid named after you fails to motivate, there’s also the added plus of knowing just where the giant space rock that was set to hurtle by our atmosphere has gotten off to. I know I’d probably sleep better. – io9
Spike Jonze’s Her raised many questions on the future of artificial intelligence (AI), and you’d be hard-pressed to find someone more qualified to discuss the technology that permeates through the movie than the renowned futurist Ray Kurzweil. In a blog post, the author, who joined Google in 2012 to work on machine learning and voice processing, discusses the feasibility of Her’s AI, concluding that companions with a similar capacity to Samantha could become reality within 15 years. He suggests other futuristic elements found in the movie, such as pin-sized “freckle cameras” and diffident video game characters, may be with us at the end of the current decade.
Perhaps more interesting than the date projections are Kurzwell’s thoughts on the themes and plot points presented in the film. Perhaps unsurprisingly given his scientific background, Kurzweil comes at Her pragmatically, calling her seemingly rapid “evolution” and her ultimate desertion unrealistic, both technically and cinematically.
From a technological perspective, Kurzweil cites his law of accelerating returns to note that human-level AI would be “roughly doubling in capability each year,” while Samantha “appears to be progressing much faster than that.” On a storytelling level, the departure of the AIs makes little sense to Kurzweil. Assuming Samantha’s proclamations of love are genuine, and given her immense mental capacity, there’s no reason why she couldn’t continue her relationships with Theodore and others using a “trivial” portion of her cognitive ability.
Although Kurzweil, like so many of us, clearly found Her a thought-provoking and enjoyable experience, he doesn’t believe such situations will become reality. Its central conceit — that AIs will outpace human development — is unlikely to come to pass. “In my view, biological humans will not be outpaced by the AIs because they (we) will enhance themselves (ourselves) with AI,” argues Kurzweil. “It will not be us versus the machines (whether the machines are enemies or lovers), but rather, we will enhance our own capacity by merging with our intelligent creations. We are doing this already. Saudi Arabia: Women’s visits to hospitals without male guardians banned
The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) has officially prevented women from visiting medical clinics without male guardians.
This came after a member of the Council of Senior Scholars issued a “fatwa” (edict) prohibiting women from visiting male doctors without having male guardians present.
“Islamic law does not permit women to visit their doctors without male guardians,” said Qais Al-Mubarak, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars. “Women are prohibited from exposing body parts to male doctors in Islamic law, especially during childbirth. This does not include medical emergencies. Islamic jurisprudence makes exceptions,” he added.
Male guardians can only be the next of kin in Islam. They are sons, grandsons, husbands, brothers, fathers or uncles.
Sources said that Haia members recently issued orders to employees working at a nutrition center not to admit women patients unless a guardian accompanies them during their weekly visits. This decision caused huge losses to the nutrition center in a single week, according to the source.
Many women have opposed this decision, saying their male relatives are not available to accompany them on a weekly basis.
“This is going to be a huge burden for us. Many of us don’t have male guardians. Those of us who do, can’t depend on them, as they have work and travel commitments,” said Muneera Dawood, a stay-at-home mother.
“Does this mean that I have to wait for my husband to be free to go on my weekly checkup? This is a serious matter. Going to the doctor is not a luxury like going to the hair salon,” she said.
Al-Mubarak said male doctors could conduct medical examinations on female patients only if female physicians are unavailable and only if male guardians accompany them. “Unaccompanied visits to male doctors can have negative implications,” he said.
The owner of a private hospital in Jeddah said that most female patients already attend to their appointments with their male guardians.
“We do not allow any patient, whether a man or a woman, to be inside the doctor’s room without having a nurse present. Aside from them having to assist the doctor with their work, they are also there to prevent free mixing between doctor and patient,” he said.
“We don’t see women coming to the hospital as un-Islamic and we usually don’t even see women coming alone, so we don’t have a problem with this new fatwa,” he said.
A local Jeddah clinic said it has not received word from the Ministry of Health on the matter. “Our clinic is like a beauty center for women to get facials and undergo other forms of skin treatment. It is almost impossible for men to join them and I’m sure this would make other patients uncomfortable,” said Dr. Waleed Abdulmajeed, a dermatologist at the local clinic.
“We will not ask our patients to be accompanied by guardians unless we receive an official note from the ministry itself,” he said. – Arab News
