Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

A friend sent me this image…was taken on a mountain called Ajusco, south of Mexico City in 2007.
They spent a weekend camping….but they preferred to return because “something” was observing them one night.
He told me that they saw 2 eyes on the dark forest….but one of the eyes has a vertical movement and the other not. They had a flash light and got closer to the “eyes”, when they saw a big shadow but the flashlight cannot illuminate it. They decide to go back to camp, pack everything and return to the city.
So they took the photo to remember that night. Wasn’t until my friend saw the image on his computer that he realized that “something” was behind one of them. He told me that the guy in the yellow jacket heard the noise of branches breaking, that’s why his head was turned looking to other side.
I put a red circle on the photo B for you can see what I’m talking about.

When I was in 5th grade, I was a pretty popular kid, well liked, and I liked it that way. Before class started, a fellow student brought in a book on witchcraft. He said that there was a page with an incantation and if you say it three times, the devil will appear. Nobody would read it because they were scared, and to be honest, so was I, but I wanted to stay popular so I said I would read it. The gist of it was (as far as I can recall) a prayer to the devil… saying that he was the one true god and that I give my soul to him, etc. On the third time through reading it, I physically felt something pass through my body. It was like my breath was taken away for a split second, I got those cold chills… you know the ones I’m talking about… and I felt faint. I stopped mid-sentence and the kids freaked out. They said they saw something happen to me. My hair blew like a fan was on but there wasn’t. They said that I was still for like two minutes not talking or responding to them. When it was over, I opened my eyes to see the kids in my class with wide eyes and their jaws open asking me if I was okay. I closed the book and told them what I felt, and they said they believed me because of how I was acting. I have never been one for believing in the supernatural, but when I feel myself starting to doubt, I remember back to that day when I was a stupid 5th grader who may have inadvertently sold my soul to the devil for a little popularity. I am Catholic and every time I go to confession, I ask for forgiveness from that, and I try to be a good man, hoping that when my time comes, I don’t find myself on the wrong side of the fence. I have thought that maybe it wasn’t the devil that passed through me, but rather an angel… protecting me and also scaring me straight by passing through me, in a way saying “uh-uh-uhhhh…. don’t do that…” But either way, the story is true, and I will always carry that question with me… did I sell my soul to the devil when I was in 5th grade? – Reddit.com
A passenger on a commercial flight over the English capital this week caught something unusual on camera.
Photographs of UFOs taken from aircraft tend to be some of the most convincing and this latest case is no exception. The images were captured on camera by a passenger flying over London just four days ago on the morning of May 25th.
The object appears to be flying above the cloudline and resembles a dark-colored disc or cigar-shaped craft with lights on either side. The series of photographs show it flying upwards and off in to the distance towards the right.
The sighting has been generating a great deal of interest since appearing online. Some viewers have suggested that it could be the top of a tall building peeking out through the clouds, however the subsequent shots of the craft moving upwards seem to discount this possibility.
After the disappearance of two goats, evidence of attacks on his cows and some mysterious late-night howls, James Newton believes he has found the culprit — the chupacabra, a creature many experts don’t believe exists.
Newton, who owns a farm with his wife, Vanessa, on Dixie Road, had been noticing unusual happenings since taking over the land more than a year ago, including the unexplained loss of two goats in December, and discovering his cows with bloody ears that he believes were evidence of a creature trying to bite the animals.
On Monday morning, Newton said his wife alerted him to what she described as “the ugliest animal you’d ever seen” behind their house.
The creature, which they believe may have been killed by the couple’s German shepherd, was 2-feet long, had short, dark gray hair, a long thin tail, protruding teeth and — according to Newton — an uncanny resemblance to a creature popularly known as a chupacabra.
“I looked it up on the Internet before I called anyone, and sure enough, if you look it up online, you’ll see this looks exactly like the chupacabras people have been spotting,” Newton said. “On the Internet, a man actually shot one on his porch.”
“Chupacabra” is a Spanish word that literally translates to “goat sucker.” Reports of the creature can be traced back to Puerto Rico in 1994, when eight sheep were reportedly attacked and drained of blood. Since 1994, a consensus has been formed on how the creature supposedly looks among those who have claimed to have caught the creature in the act.
The most common features used to describe the chupacabra are dark skin, little to no hair, a long, thin tail and protruding canines.
“What they do is they grab a hold of them and suck the blood out of them,” Newton said. “Every time they find ‘em, the bodies of animals they’ve attacked, they have the blood sucked out of them. This one man had 100 chickens and it just sucked the blood out of every one of his chickens … All it has to do is latch on to an animal and hold on. Now, a goat can be up to 200 pounds. If one of these things can take down a goat, then taking down a full-grown man wouldn’t be a problem. ”
While there have been a number of cases in which people have found an animal, dead or alive, that they believe to be a chupacabra, skeptics have been quick to dismiss these discoveries as dogs, coyotes or some other kind of animal suffering from mange.
In the case of Newton’s chupacabra, both Dr. Curt Locklear of Lumberton’s Southeastern Veterinary Hospital and Tommy Rains, wildlife damage control agent with Cape Fear Wildlife Control, seem to agree, from only viewing photographs, that the body is likely that of a raccoon.
“That is definitely a raccoon, but one that had been under a lot of stress,” Rains said. “Skin disease and malnourishment can make it look like that. It does look a lot like the pictures of a chupacabra though.”
Rains added that in his 16 years of working as a wildlife damage control agent, this was the first time he had been asked to identify a chupacabra. Both Locklear and Rains warn that a raccoon that sickly may have been infected with rabies and have suggested that Newton have his dog checked for the virus. More than a dozen cases of rabies were reported during an outbreak of the disease in Robeson County last year.
“I think that chupacabras may exist, I am not saying they don’t,” Rains said. “Just that I have skinned a lot of raccoons over the years and after you skin an animal, it becomes much easier to recognize the way their body and bones are shaped.”
Newton remains convinced.
“See, it has hair on its back, but no hair on the legs,” Newton said. “I thought it was a ‘coon, but a ‘coon ain’t that color. They have white around their eyes, and he’s got tan color up there.”
Newton and his wife said they will be keeping an eye out for any other chupacabras and keeping a close watch on their four dogs.
“I had never seen anything like that,” Vanessa Newton said. “It is scary to see something that looks like that, and the way I see it, if there is one, then there is another one.” – Your Daily Journal
At the Mihai Kogalniceanu military airport, north of Constanta, several supersonic fighter aircraft pilots of the Aviation Group 57 had witnessed an unidentified aerospace phenomenon. The event took place probably in the second half of March 1989 (there are differences in the timing remembered). Between the hours of 15.00 and 21.00, the unit, consisting then of 18-20 pilots, executed a shooting exercise in two sets: day flight and night flight. “At one point, it was announced that the training flights were halted, although weather conditions were excellent and the visibility was very good” said one witness. At around 21.20, the pilots were stripped of their equipment. Some of them, including the Commander and the Colonel Platon Streja, flight inspector in the Air Force Command in Bucharest, delegate to attend and participate in flights that week, were in the “alarm cell”, a room located in a building, planning the next flight, scheduled over two days. The other pilots were talking on a bench outside this building. The technicians were preparing the aircrafts for parking at night. The sky was “glass clear”, and the visibility perfect. Colonel (ret.) Aurelian Dobre remembers: I was talking with some fellow pilots before the ‘cell’. I was facing the take off terminal. At one point, I saw many lights, appearing actually above the trees. I immediately entered the ‘cell’ to warn those who were inside. When I went out, the lights were already on top of us.” Colonel (ret.) Paul Otelea, commander of the second group, then flying a MIG -23, says:”At one point our colleague Aurelian Dobre entered, calling us: Come out quickly!” We went all; we looked in the sky and saw a triangular sections train at an equal distance between them, bathed in white light silver matte, strong but without giving light around. [... ] They moved from south to north. I appreciate that they were at an angle of about 20-25 degrees and about 7,000 meters high. Along with the passing over him, he heard “a noise that resembled very well with the rustle of a flock of birds in flight over the forest at night. I knew it from childhood, when I was wandering the woods”. “From the first moment I saw them until they disappeared, several tens of seconds passed, then the lights faded out towards Ukraine”. He adds that it is a great mystery the lack of “sonic bang” shock wave. Colonel (ret.) Dan Aioanei, who at the time was flying a MIG-29, says: “From Medgidia, a formation of 7, 8 or 9 flowing objects were approaching. They looked like neon tubing, several kilometers long each, and were thus positioned relative to one another that form a “V”. From the distance, the tubes seem to have a diameter of 15-20 cm, so in reality they have 2-3 meters. Travel speed must have been at least supersonic. They were flying very high, at an altitude of over 3,000 m but may be well over 10,000 meters. Even for us, acquainted with the sky, was hard to estimate, because the reference points, i.e. clouds, were missing. As pilots, we know what shape, texture, dynamics have the clouds, depending on the altitude at which they are. The formation left no trace behind, no light, no trail. The “tubes” have disappeared from the horizon, somewhere east of Tulcea. In 1989, the Group 57 of Air Force, now disbanded, was among the highest rated in Europe in terms of professionalism of the pilots and endowment of the unit. The pilots who witnessed the event were both well qualified and trained to distinguish an airplane, helicopter, balloon, flock of birds, or satellite from whatever.
Exclusive: Found after 500 years, the wreck of Christopher Columbus’s flagship the Santa Maria
Shipwreck found off coast of Haiti thought to be one of the most significant underwater discoveries in history
More than five centuries after Christopher Columbus’s flagship, the Santa Maria, was wrecked in the Caribbean, archaeological investigators think they may have discovered the vessel’s long-lost remains – lying at the bottom of the sea off the north coast of Haiti. It’s likely to be one of the world’s most important underwater archaeological discoveries.
“All the geographical, underwater topography and archaeological evidence strongly suggests that this wreck is Columbus’ famous flagship, the Santa Maria,” said the leader of a recent reconnaissance expedition to the site, one of America’s top underwater archaeological investigators, Barry Clifford.
“The Haitian government has been extremely helpful – and we now need to continue working with them to carry out a detailed archaeological excavation of the wreck,” he said.
So far, Mr Clifford’s team has carried out purely non-invasive survey work at the site – measuring and photographing it.
Tentatively identifying the wreck as the Santa Maria has been made possible by quite separate discoveries made by other archaeologists in 2003 suggesting the probable location of Columbus’ fort relatively nearby. Armed with this new information about the location of the fort, Clifford was able to use data in Christopher Columbus’ diary to work out where the wreck should be.
An expedition, mounted by his team a decade ago, had already found and photographed the wreck – but had not, at that stage, realized its probable identity.
It’s a current re-examination of underwater photographs from that initial survey (carried out back in 2003), combined with data from recent reconnaissance dives on the site (carried out by Clifford’s team earlier this month), that have allowed Clifford to tentatively identify the wreck as that of the Santa Maria.
The evidence so far is substantial. It is the right location in terms of how Christopher Columbus, writing in his diary, described the wreck in relation to his fort.
The site is also an exact match in terms of historical knowledge about the underwater topography associated with the loss of the Santa Maria. The local currents are also consistent with what is known historically about the way the vessel drifted immediately prior to its demise.

Using marine magnetometers, side-scan sonar equipment and divers, Mr. Clifford’s team has, over several years, investigated more than 400 seabed anomalies off the north coast of Haiti and has narrowed the search for the Santa Maria down to the tiny area where the wreck, which the team thinks may well be Columbus’ lost vessel, has been found.

A re-examination of the photographic evidence taken during the 2003 initial survey of the site by Mr. Clifford and his son Brandon has also provided evidence which is consistent with the vessel being from Columbus’ era - including a probable early cannon of exactly the type known to have been on-board the Santa Maria.
When Clifford and his team returned to the site earlier this month, their intention was to definitively identify the cannon and other surface artefacts that had been photographed back in 2003. But tragically all the key visible diagnostic objects including the cannon had been looted by illicit raiders.
“We’ve informed the Haitian government of our discovery – and we are looking forward to working with them and other Haitian colleagues to ensure that the site is fully protected and preserved. It will be a wonderful opportunity to work with the Haitian authorities to preserve the evidence and artefacts of the ship that changed the world,” said Mr. Clifford.
“I am confident that a full excavation of the wreck will yield the first ever detailed marine archaeological evidence of Columbus’ discovery of America.”

“Ideally, if excavations go well and depending on the state of preservation of any buried timber, it may ultimately be possible to lift any surviving remains of the vessel, fully conserve them and then put them on permanent public exhibition in a museum in Haiti.
“I believe that, treated in this way, the wreck has the potential to play a major role in helping to further develop Haiti’s tourism industry in the future,” he said.
Mr Clifford, who discussed the wreck site with the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly last year, is one of the world’s most experienced explorers of underwater archaeological sites. He has carried out survey work on dozens of historic wrecks in different parts of the world over the past four decades – and was the discoverer and excavator of the world’s first fully verified pirate shipwreck, the Whydah, back in 1984, and more recently discovered Captain Kidd’s flagship off Madagascar.
The Santa Maria was built at some stage in the second half of the 15 century in northern Spain’s Basque Country. In 1492, Columbus hired the ship and sailed in it from southern Spain’s Atlantic coast via the Canary Islands in search of a new western route to Asia.
After 37 days, Columbus reached the Bahamas – but, just over ten weeks later, his flagship, the Santa Maria, with Columbus on board, drifted at night onto a reef off the northern coast of Haiti and had to be abandoned. Then, in a native village nearby, Columbus began building his first fort – and, a week later, leaving many of his men behind in the fort, he used his two remaining vessels to sail back to Spain in order to report his discovery of what he perceived as a new westerly route to Asia to his royal patrons - King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain.
A leading American maritime archaeologist, Professor Charles Beeker of Indiana University, who accompanied Mr Clifford’s recent reconnaissance expedition to Haiti and who also carried out an underwater visual assessment of the site, says that it “warrants a detailed scientific investigation to obtain diagnostic artefacts”.
“There is some very compelling evidence from the 2003 photographs of the site and from the recent reconnaissance dives that this wreck may well be the Santa Maria,”
“But an excavation will be necessary in order to find more evidence and confirm that,” said Professor Beeker who is Director of the University of Indiana’s Office of Underwater Science.
The investigation into the wreck is being supported by the American TV network, the History channel, which has secured the exclusive rights toproduce a major television programme on the subject.

Our forte was building technologically advanced airplanes of small number and of high class for highly secret missions."

"When Rich was asked how UFO propulsion worked, he said, 'Let me ask you. How does ESP work?' The questioner responded with 'All points in time and space are connected?' Rich then said, 'That's how it works!' "
According to xenophilius.wordpress.com, the legendary Lockheed engineer and close friend of Ben Rich, the late John Andrews, confirmed a conversation with Rich in which the Skunk Works director said:
Another Skunk Works engineer, Don Phillips, has publicly said UFOs are real and that he and other Skunk Works members were doing "back-engineering" on recovered crashed UFO materials and devices to develop cutting-edge aeronautical technology. According to xenophilius.wordpress.com, Phillips said: "When I was working at the Skunk Works with Kelly Johnson, we signed an agreement with the government to keep very quiet about this. Anti-gravitational research was going on. We know that there were some captured craft from 1947 in Roswell, they were real. And yes, we really did put them to work. We knew each other from what we call an unseen industry. We can term it black, deep black, or hidden.
"The knowledge I have of these technologies came from here. I didn't see the craft, nor did I see the bodies but I certainly know some of the people that did. If the testimony of the Skunk Works engineers is valid, humankind faces the greatest discovery in history — the existence of non-human, intelligent, off-planet Earth life forms with stellar propulsion capabilities. Thus, this meeting of cosmic cultures will inevitably affect every segment of civilization, including religion, politics, science, technology, education and agriculture — in short, the complete spectrum of human life will be challenged by the confirmation of a greater reality.
Surely these accounts of UFO/alien technology — and what they portend for the future — by highly respected engineers Phillips, Andrews and Rich are deserving of further professional investigative reporting. Perhaps a University of Missouri journalism alum or a current MU J-School student will accept the challenge. Who knows? There might be a Pulitzer Prize in the offing.

Stanford Physicist: We Have Physical Evidence Of UFOs!
Peter Sturrock is an emeritus professor of applied physics at Stanford University and one of the very few scientists who has publicly expressed a great deal of interest in UFOs and acted on that interest by twice surveying colleagues on the subject which resulted in some very surprising findings. He is also unambiguous on one particular category of UFO evidence which he happens to know a little bit about . . . . radar reports.
"Yes - radar is physical evidence," Sturrock stated in an email exchange he was generous enough to grant me.
Professor Sturrock's involvement with radar dates back to World War II. While studying mathematics at Cambridge University, he interrupted his studies to help in the war effort and joined the Telecommunications Research Establishment in 1942, now known as the Royal Radar Establishment, where he helped develop radar systems.
Skeptics commenting on the UFO phenomenon often claim that a major problem with UFOs is the only evidence are witness sightings, claim they are unreliable and cite a lack of physical evidence. While that is often the case, there are notable exceptions where physical evidence does exist in the form of radar reports and they corroborate the accounts of multiple credible witnesses. There have been a number of famous UFO cases that have involved radar reports and two of the most famous contemporary incidents are the JAL Alaska case from 1986 and the Stephenville, Texas sightings of 2008.
On November 17, 1986, a Japan Air Lines 747 cargo jet, piloted by Captain Kenju Terauchi, was flying westward near Mt. McKinley when he spotted a UFO. "Then there was a kind of reverse thrust, and the lights became dazzlingly bright. Our cockpit lit up. The thing was flying as if there was no such thing as gravity. It sped up, then stopped, then flew at our speed, in our direction, so that to us it looked like it was standing still. The next instant it changed course. There's no way a jumbo could fly like that. If we tried, it'd break apart in mid-air. In other words, the flying object had overcome gravity," Terauchi said.
Terauchi and his crew had the sighting but John Callahan, the FAA Division Chief of the Accidents and Investigations branch, had the data. The radar report covered more than a half hour. Callahan states in the following video interview, "As far as I'm concerned, I saw a UFO chase a Japanese 747 across the sky for over half an hour on radar."
He goes on to say that members of President Reagan’s Scientific Study Team, the FBI and the CIA he met with about the incident expressed excitement at the data.
The Stephenville, Texas case of January 2008 featured dozens of residents of the Texas town and its' surroundings sighting UFOs. Some reported aircraft the size of a football field and larger. Freedom Of Information Act requests were quickly sent to the FAA, National Weather Service and local Air Force bases by radar expert Glen Schulze and Robert Powell, MUFON Director of Research seeking radar data for January 8.
In their summary, Schulze and Powell wrote, "The enormous size of the object, its' complete silence and its' ability to travel at high rates of speed and to also remain stationary or travel at slow speeds is not explained by any known aircraft. Based on approximate distance of the object and witness descriptions of degrees of sky covered by the object indicated an object closer to 1000 feet in size. Twice, radar picked up an unknown object flying at 1900-2100 mph."

I also asked Professor Sturrock if he had a favorite UFO case and he replied, "The Coyne helicopter case." On October 18, 1973, the four-man crew of an Army Reserve helicopter heading towards Cleveland from Columbus had an otherworldly encounter with a UFO at about 10:30 PM as they were flying near Mansfield, Ohio.
Not surprisingly, skeptic Phil Klass attempted to explain the case away but the credibility of the witnesses involved and the detail of their reports render his explanation implausible.

Finally, I asked the professor about his own research into UFOs. In 1973, Professor Sturrock distibuted two questionaires, one to members of the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the other to members of the American Astronomical Society.
The AIAA survey results indicated that "a sample of scientifically trained persons reports aerial phenomena similar to so-called "UFO reports," and the AAS survey revealed that "a small fraction (of order 5%) are likely to report varied and puzzling observations, not unlike so-called "UFO reports" made by the general public," according to the professor.
He also noted that, "if you want to find out whether scientists see UFOs you must ask them, and you probably must guarantee them anonymity. Scientists have no doubt been discouraged from taking the problem seriously by the bizarre nature of some of the reports and emphasis upon the "extraterrestrial hypothesis" (ETH)."

Specifically, I asked Professor Sturrock about his opinion on expanding future queries to include social scientists like historians, sociologists and psychologists, professionals who I thought might also have some interest in and be able to contribute to the UFO field.
"I would encourage similar surveys of other professions. Then the results could be compared," he replied.

In 2012 stuitte een team onderzoekers in de jungle van Ecuador op een oud bouwwerk. Volgens schrijver en onderzoeker Bruce Fenton is het complex mogelijk de ‘Verloren Stad der Reuzen’, omdat rond het bouwwerk enorme stukken gereedschap zijn gevonden. Daarnaast spreken lokale legendes over een reuzenras dat ooit in het gebied leefde.
Op de vindplaats is een buitengewoon groot piramidevormig bouwwerk ontdekt dat circa 80 meter lang, 80 meter breed en 80 meter hoog is. Het bouwwerk bestaat uit honderden steenblokken, die elk zo’n twee ton wegen. Bovenop de heuvel kunnen vele voorwerpen worden gevonden. Veel van de stenen sluiten precies op elkaar aan, hebben scherpe randen en lijken door mensenhanden te zijn uitgehouwen.
Uit de omvang van het gevonden gereedschap maakt Fenton op dat het mogelijk één van de verloren steden der reuzen is, waar in lokale legendes veel over wordt gesproken. Bij leden van inheemse stammen boezemen dergelijke plaatsen veel angst in omdat ze naar verluidt worden beschermd door geesten of wezens die niet tot deze wereld behoren.
Volgens verschillende legendes werden de steden bewoond door reuzen, die door de tijd heen in de vergetelheid zijn geraakt. In grotten in het gebied – maar ook in andere delen van Ecuador – zijn botten van reuzen gevonden.
De overheid van Ecuador werd op de hoogte gebracht van de vondst. In 2013 organiseerde het ministerie van Cultuur een expeditie. Het overheidsteam concludeerde dat de heuvel een natuurlijke formatie is. Als gevolg hiervan worden er geen opgravingen gepland in het gebied en wordt de vindplaats ook niet aangemerkt als erfgoed.
Fenton en zijn collega’s zijn het niet eens met de conclusies en wijzen op de rechthoekige blokken, het bindmateriaal tussen de stenen, de precisie waarmee ze zijn uitgehouwen en de ontdekking van stenen gereedschap. Bovendien zijn er grote stenen gevonden met ronde gaten in het midden.
“Er is geen twijfel over mogelijk dat we hier te maken hebben met sporen van menselijke bewoning,” schreef Fenton op zijn website Earth4all. “We willen nu monsters gaan testen, dateren en laten onderzoeken door deskundigen.” Hij hoopt in een nabijgelegen dorp een museum te openen waar de voorwerpen veilig kunnen worden bewaard. A team of scientists and researchers have just returned from an expedition in Siberia and the Valley of the Dead and are claiming they have found proof of at least five of the legendary cauldrons that ancient aliens supposedly built.

A team of Russian scientists and researchers have just returned from the “Valley of Death” region in Siberia with startling claims. Lead scientist Michale Visok had this to say in an interview with a Russian newspaper on what they had found:
“We went out into the Valley of Death to really see and investigate the metal cauldrons that people claim exist there and we actually found five metallic objects buried in marsh like swamps”
Michale gave the following details about these metal objects:
They are each submerged in small pools of swamp like water that is anywhere from 2-3 feet deep. They are definitely metallic. The scientists entered each swamp and walked on top of the objects and heard metallic sounds when striking the objects.
The tops of the objects are very smooth to the touch but there are sharp points along the outer edges.
2 of the team members got ill during the investigation.
The team consisted of 3 geologists, 1 astrophysicist, 1 mechanical engineer and 3 research assistants.
Asked what does the team think they have discovered? Could it be something built by ancient aliens like so many people believe? Michale declined to comment other than “there is definitely something weird out there, we have no idea what they are or what they were used for”.

Pew Research’s recent public opinion pollon technology and the future has been on my mind this week. We’ve already discussed the possibility ofweather controlandteleportation, but what about time travel? Only 9% of Americans polled say they want time travel technology (or, at least, that they’d prioritize it over other futuristic contraptions), which I’m initially inclined to blame on thefact that most of us didn’t grow up watching Doctor Whoand don’t know how cool time travel technology can be.
As was the case with most of the other technologies discussed in the Pew study, time travel refers to something we’re already doing (albeit on an insignificant scale). Due to the effects of time dilation, astronauts and satellites already travel forward in time by tiny fractions of a second. Greenwich Royal Observatory’s Colin Stuart explains how here:
But even if we perfect and amplify this technology, it only allows time travel to the future, and where’s the fun in that? There’s little point in traveling to the future if you can’t come back to the present when you’re done. But traveling backward through time involves a lot more energy and, in Michio Kaku’s words, “punching a hole in the universe”:
A good number of scientists and inventors are trying, in various ways, to figure outhow we can travel through time—but none, as far as we know, have been successful.. Our inability to conquer time travel defines our existence as mortal beings who can only move within brief, finite periods of time—in one direction, and at or near one speed. If we ever could travel in time to change the past, it would be to the human experience what printing our own fake money would be to a game of Monopoly. It would be a game-changer—so much of one that our odds of using the technology responsibly, or even competently, would be slim. Stephen Hawking once remarked that one of the best arguments against future use of time travel is the lack of evidence for time travelers among us. It does, at least, suggest that if future generations have visited us, they had the good sense to keep it to themselves.

After the changes that occurred in Russia all kinds of things went on sale. The KGB files were sold in their entirety to Yale University, and two U.S. film companies bought the rights to the KGB UFO files. Soviet scientists and cosmonauts also came forward with what they knew. One of the most famous is Colonel Marina Popovich.
In 1990 Colonel Marina Popovich hero of the Soviet Union, who holds 102 world records held a press conference in San Francisco at the Russian Consulate. During the conference she showed amazing photographs of cigar-shaped alien craft in space that were each, fifteen miles long. The photos were taken by a Russian space, probe which mysteriously stopped working, then disappeared completely, shortly after taking the photographs.
Col. Popovich has flown every kind of aircraft there is in the Soviet Union, from large transport planes to MIG-21s. She holds ninety flight records. She’s even been called the Chuck Yeager of the Soviet Union. Popovich has a Ph.D. in technical sciences and her focus now is to get the truth about the existence of flying saucers out to the public.

There are mysteries that are so eerie and strange that they boggle the mind for days on end. The case of Elisa Lam is one of them. In February 2013, this 21-year-old student from Vancouver, Canada, was found dead inside the Cecil Hotel’s rooftop water tank in Los Angeles. The L.A. County Department of Coroner ruled the death “accidental due to drowning” and said no traces of drugs or alcohol were found during the autopsy. However, there is much more to the story than what is implied by police reports. The first piece of evidence that needs to be considered is an elevator surveillance tape that recorded Elisa’s behavior only a few moments before she lost her life.
The four-minute video posted on YouTube shows Elisa pressing all of the elevator buttons and waiting for it to move. Seeing that the elevator doors are not closing, starts behaving extremely bizarrely. Here’s the video.
At first, Elisa enters the elevator and apparently presses all of its buttons. She then waits for something to happen but, for some reason, the elevator door doesn’t shut. She starts to look around, as if she is expecting (or hiding from) someone. At 1:57, her arms and hands start moving in a very strange matter (almost not human) as she appears to be talking to someone, something … or nothing at all. She then walks away. The elevator door then shuts and appears to start working again.
Right after the events of the video, Elisa apparently gained access to the rooftop of the hotel, climbed to its water tank and, somehow, ended up drowning in it. Her body was found two weeks after her death, after hotel guests complained about the water’s taste and color. Incredible.
Seeing the surveillance footage, most people would conclude that she was under the influence of drugs. However, Elisa did not have a history of drug use and her autopsy concluded that no drugs were involved. When one looks at the context and the circumstances of this death, things become even more mysterious.

Traveling west out of Asheville, North Carolina and crossing the border into Jackson County, one can trace the Caney Fork River along toward the little Tuckasegee community, following NC Highway 107 heading out of the nearby campus town of Cullowhee. There, off a gravel road running between two pastures, is one of the most underrated–and often overlooked–wonders anywhere in the Eastern United States.
Known today as “Judaculla Rock”, the strange stone mound protrudes from the earth just as it did centuries ago, much earlier even than the Cherokee Indians had begun to inhabit the region. According to most estimates by geologists, the stone’s markings date back as much as 3000 years, though on Raliegh-based group a number of years ago supposed that some of the petroglyphs covering the boulder could be twice as old as previous estimates, if not more.
Of all the curious symbols that appear along the stone’s surface, one particular image stands out among the rest, resembling vaguely a hand-like imprint. According to legend, this portion of the stone marks the place where an ancient Cherokee god of the hunt, known as “Tsul’Kalu’,” had leaped from a nearby mountain, and landing within the valley below, had steadied himself against what is now Judaculla Rock. This is, in fact, merely one of several legends regarding Tsul’Kalu’ that still exist, many of which have some fairly remarkable tie-ins with mysterious discoveries of “giants” alleged to have existed in the ancient Americas.

Brian Williams nabbed an exclusive interview with Edward Snowden for NBC News. Snowden is still wanted for leaking classified NSA data in June 2013, and is currently living in exile in Russia. Williams traveled to Moscow for the interview. In advance of this highly-anticipated interview, NBC News has released a clip in which Snowden details his professional background. He has been alternately labeled everything from a “hacker” to a “low level analyst” in the media, but according to Snowden, the truth is a bit more complicated. He explained to Williams that he was “trained as a spy in sort of the traditional sense of the word.” He went on to explain that he lived and worked undercover under a false name in foreign countries.
In response to the “low level analyst” claims, Snowden said the government is “trying to use one position that I’ve had in a career here or there to distract from the totality of my experience.” He then detailed his background, saying that he’d worked for the NSA and the CIA overseas, and worked for the DIA as a lecturer at the Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy. Snowden did indicate that he worked primarily with computer systems, and not with people, but he said it was “somewhat misleading” to classify him as a “low level analyst.”

Momo eyewitnesses in Louisiana, Mo., claimed the illustration looked almost exactly like the creature they saw during the summer of 1972.

The creature is similar to the well-known Bigfoot of the Pacific Northwest, only more otherworldly. It has glowing orange eyes, a pumpkin-shaped head, three-fingered hands and leaves three-toed footprints. Unlike the shy Bigfoot, this aggressive creature is known to kill animals and antagonize humans.
Its name is Momo – the Missouri Monster. Momo sightings have been reported throughout Missouri, even in St. Charles County. But the most famous sightings occurred in Louisiana, Mo., a town of fewer than 4,000 people. Located in Pike County, Louisiana lies 75 miles northwest of St. Charles County. Bigfoot-like creatures have been reported in the Louisiana area since the 1940s, but it was not until the early 1970s that Momo attracted serious interest. Bigfoot researcher Loren Coleman describes the now-legendary Momo scare in his book, “Bigfoot! The True Story of Apes in America.” According to Coleman, the Momo saga began in July, 1971. Joan Mills and Mary Ryan were driving along Highway 79, north of Louisiana, when they allegedly saw a hairy creature that made disturbing gurgling noises. The women described the thing as “half ape and half man.” The most notorious sighting took place one year later. On the afternoon of July 11, 1972, 8-year-old Terry Harrison and his 5-year-old brother, Wally, were playing in their backyard at the foot of Marzolf Hill on the outskirts of Louisiana. Their older sister, Doris, was inside the house. Doris heard her brothers scream. She looked out the bathroom window and saw a black, hairy manlike creature, standing by a tree. The thing appeared to be six or seven feet tall. Its head sat directly atop its shoulders, with no visible neck. The face was likewise invisible, completely covered by a mass of hair. The youths reported a chilling detail – the creature, streaked with blood, carried a dead dog under its arm.

A local farmer reported his dog had disappeared. A neighbor reported hearing terrible growling sounds that afternoon. Edgar Harrison, the children’s father, also heard loud growls the evening of July 14. He and several other people smelled a strong, unpleasant odor as they investigated the area around Marzolf Hill. Investigators later reported smelling a similar stench, like rotting flesh. On July 21 Momo revealed itself to Ellis Minor outside his home on River Road. It was around 10 p.m. when Minor heard his dogs barking. He grabbed a flashlight and stepped outside, expecting to see an intruding dog. Instead, he saw a 6-foot-tall monster standing in his yard. The black, hairy creature turned and ran. According to a July 23, 1972 story in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, police sealed off a 200-acre wooded area while a team of 25 hunters searched for the creature, which many believed to be a black bear. Police received reports of a creature crossing the highway with a dog or sheep in its mouth. Another witness told police that the creature lifted the back of his automobile. Not all hunters used guns. Many used pencil and paper. Bigfoot investigators swarmed Louisiana, interviewing witnesses and taking plaster casts of the creature’s unusual three-toed footprints. One of the preeminent researchers was Hayden Hewes, director of the Oklahoma City-based Sasquatch Investigations of Mid America. “What impressed me was the willingness of people to talk to us. Normally people are reluctant to talk about these things,” said Hewes, 61. “This was not just one person spitting in a can, saying `yes sir, I saw it right over there.’ These were good quality people who were enthusiastic about what was going on.” Hewes said he was impressed with the witnesses’ sincerity. “These people didn’t want to sell something. They didn’t want publicity. They just wanted to share their stories. I never got any inkling that there was a hoax.”

The Momo scare lasted only two weeks, but it triggered a media frenzy. Television and newspaper journalists from across the nation descended on the small town. “I did close to 75 television and newspaper interviews,” Hewes said. “They flew me to Chicago to do some television there. There were people around us shooting documentaries. We haven’t had a case that well-documented since.” Sasquatch Investigations of Mid America is an offshoot of the International UFO Bureau, an organization Hewes founded in 1957. “We researched Bigfoot sightings in eight states, mainly to see if there was any connection with UFO sightings,” he said. “With Momo, we found there was no correlation whatsoever with UFOs.” Hewes said his investigations suggest there are families of nocturnal Bigfoot creatures that continuously migrate across the nation from the Pacific Northwest to the southeast. “The path begins around Oregon and Washington state,” he said. “It crosses Oklahoma around the first week of September, then finishes in Florida.” When he is not conducting paranormal investigations, Hewes runs a talent agency and works in warehouse distribution in Oklahoma City. Hewes has a degree in aeronautical and space engineering from the University of Oklahoma. While Hewes and other researchers concentrated on Louisiana, one team of investigators focused on sightings in the St. Charles County vicinity.

John Schuessler was living in O’Fallon during the Momo scare. Schuessler worked for McDonnell Douglas as a group engineer for life support systems on the Sky Lab space station, then later as director of flight operations for the Johnson Space Center in Houston. In 1969, Schuessler helped establish the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), an international collective of UFO researchers. The 71-year-old Schuessler still directs the organization from its headquarters in Colorado. The Momo scare coincided with a rash of UFO sightings, including reports near his home in O’Fallon. The possible UFO connection intrigued Schuessler, so he joined the Momo investigation. Schuessler found no connection between Momo and UFO activity, but he did investigate two incidents that corroborated the presence of Bigfoot creatures in the region. On June 30, 1972, a month before the Harrison sighting in Louisiana, two young men from Troy were fishing on a secluded bank of the Cuivre River near Cuivre River State Park in Lincoln County. The fishermen, named Vaughn and Tim, stood atop a high bank overlooking an unusually low bank on the river’s opposite side. According to Schuessler, Vaughn noticed a splash and looked up. “They said they saw something wading across the river – a big, hairy thing. They didn’t know what it was,” Schuessler said. “Vaughn said, `Hey Tim, look at that silly hippie wading across the river.’ Then they realized it was not a hippie.” The men described the creature as standing taller than a normal man and hairy all over, Schuessler said. Like the Louisiana creature, the Troy monster’s hair completely covered its face. Its head looked like a dome resting on its shoulders. Tim scrambled up a hillside while Vaughn held his ground. The creature continued its deliberate march toward him. Vaughn finally panicked and ran. The men found a conservation officer and returned to the scene. “All they found were fresh, three-toed footprints where the creature came out of the water,” Schuessler said. Schuessler inspected the area the next day and found the prints. “They were large prints, but I couldn’t tell what made them,” he said. “We looked for hair, but found nothing but tracks.” Schuessler said Vaughn and Tim seemed honest and genuinely frightened. Schuessler also interviewed the conservation officer. “He said he’d gotten a lot of weird reports out of the park, but he didn’t pay attention to them. I think he wanted to stay at arm’s length from it all,” he said.

Another Momo sighting took place July 24 near O’Fallon, just after the final Louisiana sighting. Two teenage girls reported seeing a hairy creature at sunset walking along the edge of a wooded area. The O’Fallon incident is mentioned in “The Bigfoot Casebook” by Janet and Colin Bord, but Schuessler does not remember the details. “It was not as vivid as the Troy sighting,” he said. Momo must have enjoyed his sojourn in St. Charles County, because the creature apparently passed through town again four years later. The “Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization” Web site lists Momo sightings in 29 Missouri counties, including a 1976 report from St. Charles County. According to the report, two people were in a boat on the Missouri River near Highway 40-61 when they saw what appeared to be a 6-to-7-foot tall creature covered in dark brown hair. The creature was drinking from the river when it saw the boat, stood up and ran into the trees. Another local story is posted on the “Bigfoot Encounters” Web site. Mark Richardson, of Modesto, Calif., claims to have seen the creature in 1979 when he was living in St. Peters. According to Richardson, he and a friend were on a railroad bridge over Dardenne Creek one night. Richardson saw shadows moving and assumed it was his friend. To his shock, he discovered it was an 8-to-9-foot-tall creature with long, matted brown hair covering its body and face. Its shoulders were five feet wide. Its three-fingered hands hung below its knees. The creature smelled like rotting hair and screamed like a panther. Richardson claims it lifted the railroad timbers and tried to grab his friend. The two escaped and ran home. Richardson claims he knows other people who saw the St. Peters creature. He could not be reached for comment. So is Momo real? Investigators like Schuessler say the sincere testimony of eyewitnesses cannot be dismissed. “There is definitely something going on,” Schuessler said. “I just don’t know what it is.”

Mocht u niet genoeg hebben met de mysterieuze Bermudadriehoek op aarde - een mythe die enkele maanden geleden overigens volledig onderuit gehaald werd door het Amerikaanse agentschap National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - dan kunt u uw fantasie botvieren op een andere plek die vraagtekens oproept. Het gaat dan wel om een locatie in de ruimte, honderden kilometers boven de kust van Brazilië, zo bericht New Scientist.
Het gaat om een deel van de Van Allen-gordels, twee gordels van geladen deeltjes rond de aarde. Het gebied waar de binnenste van de Van Allen-gordels het aardoppervlak het dichtst nadert, wordt de Zuid-Atlantische Anomalie genoemd (ook wel South Atlantic Anomaly of SAA). De concentratie van hoogenergetische geladen deeltjes is daar op een bepaalde plaats hoger dan elders.
Gevarenzone Astronauten in spaceshuttles merkten eerder dat hun laptops soms crashten wanneer ze langs die plek reisden. Het internationaal ruimtestation ISS is om die reden extra beschermd tegen de straling in de SAA. De Hubble-ruimtetelescoop is zelfs zo voorgeprogrammeerd dat delicate instrumenten op die plek even worden uitgeschakeld om schade te vermijden.
Nu wetenschappers van het Nationale Instituut voor Astrofysica in Bologna een ruimtetelescoop aan het ontwikkelen zijn die geregeld langs die gevarenzone zal passeren, wordt het stilaan tijd om meer zicht te krijgen op het hoe en het waarom van de 'Bermudadriehoek van de ruimte'. Dat doen ze door data van een oude satelliet die er vaak passeerde, BeppoSAX, opnieuw onder de loep te nemen.
In kaart Uit de gegevens blijkt dat het stralingsniveau in het lagere gedeelte van de SAA veel beperkter is dan in de bovenste lagen. Dat komt overeen met de data van een andere satelliet die vijf jaar geleden geanalyseerd werden, maar zorgt wel voor een veel gedetailleerder beeld van de plek. Met de extra informatie wordt de SAA langzaam maar zeker in kaart gebracht, waardoor 's werelds ruimteagentschappen en onderzoekscentra hun missies en apparatuur effectiever kunnen uitrusten als ze door de SAA moeten reizen.

Bermudadriehoek van de ruimte onthult geheimen
Er is een gebied boven het aardoppervlak dat astronauten hoofdbrekens bezorgt. Computers crashen er en satellieten slaan op tilt. Onderzoekers zijn bezig deze Bermudadriehoek van de ruimte, die zich op enkele honderden kilometers boven Brazilië bevindt, in kaart te brengen.
Het gebied waar de binnenste van de Van Allen-gordels, twee gordels van geladen deeltjes rond de aarde, onze planeet het dichtst nadert, wordt de Zuid-Atlantische Anomalie genoemd. Deze anomalie is van grote betekenis voor satellieten en andere ruimtevaartuigen die op een paar honderd kilometer boven het aardoppervlak om onze planeet draaien, omdat ze in de anomalie gedurende enkele minuten lang worden blootgesteld aan verhoogde straling.
Het internationale ruimtestation ISS moest vanwege dit probleem extra worden beschermd en ruimtetelescoop Hubble maakt tijdens het passeren van deze Bermudadriehoek geen opnames. Astronauten aan boord van spaceshuttles merkten dat hun laptops soms crashten als ze door de anomalie werden gevoerd.
Wetenschappers van het Nationaal Instituut voor Astrofysica in Bologna willen meer inzicht krijgen in de Bermudadriehoek van de ruimte. Dat gaan ze doen door data van een oude satelliet die er vaak doorheen vloog, BeppoSAX, uitgebreid te bestuderen.
Uit de data blijkt dat het stralingsniveau in het onderste gedeelte van de anomalie veel beperkter is dan in de hogere lagen. Vijf jaar geleden werd een soortgelijk beeld zichtbaar, toen de gegevens van een andere satelliet werden geanalyseerd. Met de informatie kunnen ruimtevaartorganisaties hun apparatuur beter beschermen tegen de Bermudadriehoek van de ruimte.
