Latest Crop Circle In Wiltshire, England on 6th August 2014
Since olden times, many people have claimed to witness extraterrestrial beings or aliens. These life forms are called extraterrestrial because they are believed to originate from other worlds. While many people refuse to accept the idea of their existence, many scientists consider extraterrestrial life to be plausible, especially considering their supposed history within human life. These scientists maintain that billions of years ago, it was the genetic complexity of organisms that brought humans into being, and this same genetic complexity could have also brought aliens to life. Some say that these creatures resemble the form of humans but they generally look spine-chilling. Though there is still no direct evidence of their existence, several photographs have been released by eyewitnesses to prove that they actually exist. Here are 25 controversial UFO photographs ever released.
Westall ‘UFO’ incident was actually government radiation testing, reports reveal
Joy Clarke and Sue Savage were among those who saw a UFO in 1966 over Westall High School in Clayton.
AN almost 50-year-old mystery when more than 200 people believed they had a close encounter with a UFO landing in Clayton may have finally been solved after newly-unearthed government documents revealed a secret radiation-testing program.
Although federal and state government agencies refused to comment about the 1966 ‘Westall’ incident at the time, it is now believed that, rather than a UFO, what landed was an errant high altitude balloon used to monitor radiation levels after the controversial Maralinga nuclear tests.
The HIBAL program was a joint US-Australian initiative to monitor atmospheric radiation levels using large silver balloons equipped with sensors between 1960 and 1969.
Documents held by the National Archives and former Department of Supply indicate one test balloon launched from Mildura may have been blown off course and came down in Clayton South in a paddock near Westall High School, alarming and baffling hundreds of eyewitnesses, including teachers and students.
After hovering over the area, it landed at an area known as The Grange, behind a grove of pine trees, before taking off again and being pursued by several light aircraft in a sighting which lasted 20 minutes from 11am on April 6, 1966.
The event has ever since been shrouded in mystery.

But researcher Keith Basterfield, who has spent years investigating unexplained phenomenon in Australia, said a “runaway” balloon from the HIBAL (high altitude balloon) project was the likely answer.
Each test balloon lifted a 180kg payload consisting of an air sampling and telemetry unit in a gondola and was followed by a light aircraft tasked with tracking it and triggering its 12mtr parachute via radio signal.
Immediately after the Westall “UFO” sighting, reports emerged of Government men in suits converging on the area and asking school officials and other witnesses to not talk about the event.
A contemporary witness reported these “suits” stated what the students saw was part of a secret government exercise and that for national security reasons they were forbidden from discussing it.
“My hypothesis is that the incident involved not a UFO, but a high altitude balloon, it’s parachute and large payload,” Mr Basterfield said.
In a research paper completed this year, Mr Basterfield said a close review of all available documentation, including that searched through Freedom of Information laws, pointed to HIBAL flight number 292 as the real culprit.

“The Westall object was described as being a white/silver colour which could describe the colour of an HIBAL balloon or parachute.”
A witness account prior to the Westall sighting stated a flying object — trailing what appeared to be a long vacuum-like hose — was seen by a couple, whose surname was Frankie, near Smith’s Gully 40km north of Clayton South.
“HIBAL balloons were filled with gas through a thin tube which went to the top of the balloon and was left in place during the balloon flight,” Mr Basterfield said.
He said uncovered documents had also highlighted government concern about the potential damage if a heavy test balloon came down in a suburban area.
“The Department of External Affairs files on HIBAL reveal there was considerable discussion on possible damage to property or personnel by a HIBAL balloon,” Mr Basterfield said.
But despite government archival records showing the results of numerous HIBAL test flights, the paperwork for the launches scheduled for the day before Westall appear to have been lost or destroyed.
“What is strikingly missing is a memo reporting on the actual four launches for April 1966, one of which was scheduled for 5 April 1966, the day before Westall.
“So we have no (official) knowledge of where flight 292 went.”
HAMPTON, N.H. – A fisherman has caught a rare lobster that’s bright orange with dark blue spots.
Josiah Beringer found the calico lobster in one of his traps on July 23 in the mouth of New Hampshire’s Hampton Harbor. He donated the 1.5-pound, 5-year-old male lobster to the Explore the Ocean World Oceanarium in Hampton.
Beringer tells the Portsmouth Herald the lobster was found in an area known as Washerwoman Rock, an area between two rocks that gets its name from its “really rough” and “washing machine”-like waters.
The aquarium’s Ellen Goethel says calico lobsters are the second rarest in the world, after albino lobsters. She says the spots are the result of a genetic pigmentation mutation occurring in 1 in every 30 million to 50 million lobsters. – FoxNews
Police raid pub in ‘Holy Grail’ relic hunt…find salad bowl
Police raided a village pub searching for a stolen Holy Grail relic but only found a salad bowl.
A team of 12 West Mercia Police officers searched the Crown Inn in Lea, Herefordshire, for the Nanteos Cup, which was once housed in Aberystwyth.
The only item found vaguely resembling the relic was a bowl for serving salad to customers.
Police said they received intelligence that the cup had been seen in the pub so executed a search warrant on Sunday.
Landlady of the 15th Century pub, 58-year-old Di Franklin, said: “If somebody had stolen something as priceless as the Holy Grail I don’t think it would be on show in my pub. Read more at BBC
After read so many stories I finally got the will to share with you all what happen to me. Years ago, I had the most terrible experience in my entire life. I was a kid back then, living in the countryside with my parents, older brother and grandmother. Our house was big enough to accommodate everyone in their rooms, but me and my grandmother shared the same bedroom in two separated beds. I believe she was afraid of sleeping alone (that’s what my parents told me). On a cold Thursday night in February something changed me forever. After dinner and watched some TV we went to bed like we did usually. After turning of the lights, my grandmother said her prayers like she always did (believe it or not her prayers were extremely reassuring to me that everything was all right). So I fell asleep. In the middle of the night I woke up to feel really cold on my face. Somehow, I kept my eyes closed even after I woke up. I could hear a gust of wind right above me and that’s when I opened my eyes to see “it” (I don’t know how to call it… “ghost”, “spirit”, “figure”,”hallucination”). It was a bright white humanoid figure with a head with two black eyes and a mouth; however the rest of the room remain pitch black. Desperate, I tried to scream for my grandmother, but I had no voice to yell. I tried to move, but the my body was paralyzed. As I struggled, the thing started to speak with a familiar voice. First, I didn’t listen, I was to scared trying to scream for help, but then I heard the thing saying “unite the people”. As soon as it said that, I closed my eyes so hard and it disappeared. When I reopen them, it was morning…a normal Friday morning. Was it a bad dream? Night paralyzes? Vivid dream? May be… Needless to say that I thought about that all day and that I didn’t tell anyone at school nor at home. On Friday night, my father had a night shift at the hospital and the bad news came on Saturday morning. A cousin, that lived 5min from our house, had committed suicide the night before. I freaked out… I got so affected by it that the nights after I could swear that I could see lights (just like starts) in my bedroom. Eventually it faded away and I got better and nothing like that ever happen to me again. Still, when I’m back at my parents, I avoid that room.
PS: A year ago I shared this experience with a friend who had a similar experience (the bright white figure appearance) and we draw what we saw and it was the same thing! I know its a generic humanoid figure, but still I have found it quite interesting. – Reddit.com
A man has been fined for pretending to be a ghost and other rowdy behaviour in a cemetery.
Anthony Stallard pleaded guilty at Portsmouth magistrates court to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause distress.
The court heard that the 24-year-old had been out drinking with friends when they went to Kingston cemetery in Portsmouth, where they started to play football.
A Hampshire police spokesman said that witnesses complained to police about Stallard’s rowdy behaviour and his pretending to be a ghost.
“The witnesses reported the group engaging in rowdy behaviour and one of them throwing their arms in the air and saying ‘woooooo’,” he said.
Stallard, of Southsea, Hampshire, was fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £20 in costs.
He also had an extra three months added to a conditional charge for previous harassment which he was found to be in breach of, according to a Crown Prosecution Service spokeswoman.

A New Jersey witness at Mercerville who is retired law enforcement reported watching a sphere-shaped UFO that appeared to move toward ground level, according to August 7, 2014, testimony in Case 58710 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside standing on a deck about 8:50 p.m. on August 3, 2014, when the object was first seen.
“I observed out of my top peripheral vision a large bright, white sphere that suddenly appeared at an elevation estimated to be 75 degrees,” the witness stated. “This object was in the northwest sky about 15 degrees to the left of 90 degrees straight overhead when first seen.”
The witness described the object’s size and flight.
“It was about the size of one-quarter inch to five-sixteenth inch in diameter at arm’s length. It had a downward slope to it slightly toward the north of about 10 degrees. This sphere, perfectly round, was a very, very bright, white object in color. The size, shape and color did not vary throughout my observation.”
The object did not appear to be a meteor.
“There was no trail, no tail, no burning of the material leaving any combustion or debris field behind it.”
The object was quickly obscured by trees.
The sphere-shaped object disappeared behind trees as the witness watched about 8:50 p.m. on August 3, 2014. Pictured: Mercerville, New Jersey. (Credit: Google)
“The object was observed in the open sky for one second, and then it was partially obscured by a tall tree in my yard for the remainder of the event. What stands out in my mind is how the object flew beyond the branches and leaves of the 50-foot-tall tree covering about 60 degrees of the observable field of view to the northwest and was so easily seen within the tree due to the magnitude of the light it emitted.”
The witness lost view of the object.
“There was a second tree behind mine that was farther away and the object did not go below the canopy of the latter. There was still another 5 degrees of sky to observe below the tree line if the object continued downward to the ground along the same flight path. I lost view of it midway in my tree. I estimate that to be approximately 40-degrees elevation.”
The witness first thought the object might be a meteor.
“I have seen hundreds of meteors and many comets in my lifetime. I tried to play this off and forget about it. There were no other observable aircraft or stars in the sky at the time. This object moved slower than a meteor and shared no heating up characteristics like a body moving into the atmosphere.”
The witness also looked into weather data for the location and time.
“There were no stars visible. I thought about this one for some time because it didn’t make rational sense. I researched the weather data for the date and time I made this observation at Wunderground.com. On that evening there was overcast around 2,600 feet. This object appeared at a relatively low altitude below the cloud cover.”

Mercerville is located in Mercer County, NJ, population 13,230. New Jersey MUFON is investigating. New Jersey has a current UFO Alert Rating of 4 with a higher than average number of recent reports nationally. New Jersey had 24 UFO reports in July 2014 – the 11th highest reporting state – while California had 104 reports as the highest reporting state. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 150 or more reports for the month are rated an Alert 1; states with 100 or more reports are rated an Alert 2; 25 reports or more for the month are rated an Alert 3; 13 or more reports are rated an Alert 4; and those states with less than 13 reports for the month are an Alert 5.

Marc has been involved with MUFON since 1971 and has a vast amount of experience investigating UFO cases. He is also the owner of FX Models where they work on CGI and physical models for the entertainment industry as well as defense contractors among others. It was in this line of work that Marc began working with motion picture special effects guru Doug Trumbull, who it turns out also has an interest in UFOs. We get an update from Marc on a project he and Trumbull are working on called UFOTOG. This project intends to build units that scan the sky with cameras and other sensors to gather large amounts of data, beside just pictures or video, during UFO sightings. We also talked to Marc about his recent appearances on several UFO related television programs.
One of the most elaborate UFO pranks ever staged was on April Fools’ Day in 1989 over London. Virgin, the famous venture capitalist conglomerate, is known for its April foolery, and the mastermind behind their pranks is Virgin’s founder Sir Richard Branson.
The mission to fly a UFO over London began as a top secret project code named “Project Wedgewood.” Cameron Balloons Limited in the town of Bristol, a bit less than 2 hours from London by car, was commissioned to build a massive UFO hot air balloon fully kitted out with strobe lights.

As to what happened next, Branson detailed the execution of the prank in a blog on World UFO Day (July 2) in 2013. Branson says they took off in the balloon at approximately 4 am, the strobe lights blinking every 10 seconds. By the time the first light of dusk could be seen they had reached the M25, a major motorway leading into London.
Branson writes, “We could see every single vehicle grinding to a halt and hundreds of people looking up at the UFO flying over them.”

Newspapers said that Branson and his UFO were blown off target. The plan was to land in London’s Hyde Park, instead Branson had to set the UFO down in Surrey Field. Branson says they hadn’t realized the extent of the commotion their stunt was creating while they were in the air. The police and army had been alerted to their presence, and radio and TV stations were reporting the UFO over London.

When the balloon set down Branson says they were surrounded by police. The police appeared a bit hesitant to approach the strange aircraft. Branson says they “sent one lone policeman with his truncheon across the field to greet the alien.”
He continued, “The UFO’s door opened very slowly, with tonnes of dry ice billowing from it. A dwarf that we had carried on board, dressed in an ET outfit, walked down the platform towards the bobby. He promptly turned and ran in the opposite direction!”

Sir Branson of course thought this prank was pretty funny, but the police were not amused, at least not at first. Branson says, “The police initially didn’t see the funny side of it and threatened to arrest us for wasting their time. But they soon joined in the general merriment of it.”
Branson says, “Every April Fools Day we love to come up with a major fun prank that pulls peoples legs and makes them smile.”
This year, Virgin has conspired with the climate control company Nest for their April Fools’ Day fun. Branson, along with Nest CEO Tony Fadell, introduce an incredible new personal climate control feature on Virgin America airlines in the promotional video below. Although, if it sounds too good to be true, it is because, unfortunately, it is.
There are some unsettling conclusions reached by abduction researchers that are rarely mentioned in mainstream UFO reporting. Abduction researchers suggest, often based on decades of research, that there may be more going on with most UFO witnesses than simply seeing something unusual in the sky.
There is a wide continuum of what gets reported as a UFO. At one end of this spectrum are tiny dots of light making odd motions way off in the distance, but the source could be something perfectly terrestrial. On the other end of that same spectrum would be a close up sighting of a silvery flying saucer hovering silently just above the swing set in the back yard; which would be very difficult to dismiss as anything other than unknown.
David Marler
Author and researcher David Marler has been calling the more noteworthy sightings unambiguous UFOs. This implies something well beyond the tiny dots that make up the majority of the sightings reports.
Marler says, “I came up with the term unambiguous UFOs to separate descriptions of large, low-flying, structured aerial objects from the ubiquitous and ambiguous light in the sky UFO reports. I believe there is a huge distinction between the two that demands clarification.”
The late researcher Elaine Douglass collected UFO reports for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) for more than a quarter century. When conducting an investigation she would ask the witnesses the standard set of questions for any sighting, what time, how big, and so on. She would then do a follow up interview with deeper, more personal questions, asking them to describe any unusual personal events. This simply involved asking: “So, what else, in your whole life, has ever happened to you that you cannot explain?” More often than not, a big story would emerge. She would hear the unusual events that would imply some sort of direct contact experiences. What she concluded was that over half the people who see UFOs are abductees.
Elaine Douglass
This may seem like a bold statement, but it’s very similar to what other investigators have concluded. Pioneering abduction researcher Budd Hopkins spoke openly that if someone sees a UFO they are most probably either seeing it arrive or leave, and there has been a missing time event covering an abduction. Hopkins has publicly speculated that there are probably more abductions than there are UFO sightings.
Abduction researcher Dr. David Jacobs said, “There is a reason for those UFOs in the sky, the phenomenon is far less random than we had once assumed. If people are seeing UFOs they are quite probably abductees.”
When I asked Jacobs what percentage of people who are seeing unambiguous UFOs are actually abductees, he replied, “The majority.” We discussed this and he seemed comfortable with the term majority, but he felt this was conservative and the real percentage might be much higher.
David Jacobs
Abduction researcher and hypnotherapist Yvonne Smith was asked this same question, What percentage of people who are reporting an unambiguous UFO sighting are actually abductees? She, like most everyone I’ve asked, felt it was impossible to come up with an actual percentage, but was quick to say the majority. She said, “Many of the close-up sightings will have clues that this was a probable contact experience, things like distorted or missing time, or a car engine sputtering and mysteriously stopping.”
Smith noted that someone who has seen a UFO sighting might experience nightmares, vivid dreams or recurring flashbacks in the weeks or months afterwords. She feels it is vital that any witness have access to a qualified therapist if any distressing memories emerge. Both Cero International on the West Coast and Starborn Support on the East coast could recommend resources for anyone seeking help.
When abduction researcher Kathleen Marden was asked the same question, she said she had no way of knowing what that percentage might be. But she did say, “I can tell you that 67% of the participants in the2012 Marden-Stoner Commonalities Study stated that they consciously recalled (not with hypnosis), the observation of an unconventional craft at less than 1000 feet prior to an abduction.”
Kathleen Marden
This statistic can’t be seen as an indication of a percentage of whether or not a close encounter witnesses may have been abducted, but it is interesting. Marden also added that from her research, she feels anyone with more than one close up sighting of a craft has most probably had some sort of an abduction experience.
Joe Montaldo
Joe Montaldo is both a contactee and an abduction researcher. He runs an organization called ICAR (International Community for Alien Research) with a focus on the abduction phenomenon. Montaldo states that almost all UFO sightings are meant to be trigger memories, which are designed to let the witness know something happened.
Montaldo says, “ET never has to show himself to anybody. There is no need to ever let anyone see a craft, ever,” implying that their technology is so advanced that making their craft invisible is effortless, so if anyone actually sees a UFO it is because they want to be seen for a reason.
Montaldo went on to say, “I don’t think you can see a UFO if you’re not a contactee. Once you’ve been exposed to their telepathic fields or whatever they are, that’s how you can see them. It may not be easy [or possible] for us, but it’s easy for them.”
When asked to give a percentage of how many people who see a UFO are actually abductees, Joe said, “I’d put it at 100 percent”
Roger Marsh
Roger Marsh, Director of Communication for MUFON and also editor of their monthly journal, has been compiling and documenting UFO sighting reports gleaned from the MUFON Case Management System, which is an extensive database of witness reports. He also writes about UFOs for The Huffington Post, The Examiner and Open Minds.
When I asked Marsh this same question, “Off the top of my head, of the really good cases, I would say that maybe five percent of these would imply some sort of abduction event.” He went on to say he was judging these accounts by the written testimony of witnesses, where you sometimes get a clue like missing time within the reports. This is a much more conservative number than Montaldo’s sweeping 100 percent, but it is telling none the less. It should be noted that Marsh is not an abduction researcher like the other folks quoted here, he considers himself a UFO journalist instead.
What seems to be emerging, and this would be very difficult to quantify, is that the closer the UFO to the witness, the more likely an abduction event has occurred. The implication being that many, if not most UFO sightings have a buried abduction component.
In the Peruvian Desert, about 200 miles south of Lima, there lies a plain between the Inca and Nazca (sometimes also spelled Nasca ) Valleys.Across this plain, in an area measuring 37 miles long and 1-mile wide, is an assortment of perfectly-straight lines, many running parallel, others intersecting, forming a grand geometric form. In and around the lines there are also trapezoidal zones, strange symbols, and pictures of birds and beasts all etched on a giant scale that can only be appreciated from the sky.

Discovery and Meaning
Though discovered by Peruvian archaeologist Toribio Mejia Xesspe who spotted them while hiking through the surrounding foothills in 1927, the forms are so difficult to see from the ground that they were not widely known until the 1930′s when aircraft spotted them while surveying for water. The plain, crisscrossed, by these giant lines with many forming rectangles, has a striking resemblance to a modern airport. The Swiss writer, Erich von Daniken , even suggested they had been built for the convenience of ancient visitors from space to land their ships. As tempting as it might be to subscribe to this theory, the desert floor at Nazca is soft earth and loose stone, not tarmac, and would not support the landing wheels of either an aircraft or a flying saucer.
So why are the lines there? The American explorer Paul Kosok, who made his first visit to Nazca in the 1940s, suggested that the lines were astronomically significant and that the plain acted as a giant observatory. He called them “the largest astronomy book in the world.” Gerald Hawkins, an American astronomer, tested this theory in 1968 by feeding the position of a sample of lines into a computer and having a program calculate how many lines coincided with an important astronomical event. Hawkins showed the number of lines that were astronomically significant were only about the same number that would be the result of pure chance. This makes it seem unlikely Nazca is an observatory.
The Nasca lines were created by clearing the darkened pampa stones to either side and exposing the lighter sand underneath. (Photo courtesy of Michael J. Way. Copyright Michael J. Way)
Perhaps the best theory for the lines and symbols belongs to Tony Morrison, the English explorer. By researching the old folk ways of the people of the Andes mountains, Morrison discovered a tradition of wayside shrines linked by straight pathways. The faithful would move from shrine to shrine praying and meditating. Often the shrine was as simple as a small pile of stones. Morrison suggests that the lines at Nazca were similar in purpose and on a vast scale. The symbols may have also served as special enclosures for religious ceremonies.
Construction of the Lines
How were they built? The lines were apparently made by brushing away the reddish, iron oxide covered pebbles that compose the desert surface and uncovering the white colored sand underneath. In most places wind, rain and erosion would quickly remove all traces of this within a few years. At Nazca, though, the lines have been preserved because it is such a windless, dry and isolated location.
A writer by the name of Jim Woodman believes that the lines and figures could not have been made without somebody in the air to direct the operations. ”You simply can’t see anything from ground level,” states Woodman.”You can’t appreciate any of it from anywhere except from above. You can’t tell me the Nazca builders would have gone to the monumental efforts they did without ever being able to see it.”
Woodman has proposed that ancient hot-air balloons were used to get an aerial view of the construction. To prove his hypothesis, Woodman constructed a balloon using materials that would have been available to the Nazca people. He was able to conduct a successful flight, though it only lasted two minutes.
The Nasca lines were created by clearing the darkened pampa stones to either side and exposing the lighter sand underneath. (Photo courtesy of Michael J. Way. Copyright Michael J. Way)
Most researchers are extremely skeptical of Woodman’s conclusions, however, as they find little evidence in the remains left by the Nazca of any balloon construction or operation.
It is more likely that the Nazca people used simple surveying techniques in their work. Straight lines can be made easily for great distances with simple tools. Two wooden stakes placed as a straight line would be used to guide the placement of a third stake along the line. One person would sight along the first two stakes and instruct a second person in the placement of the new stake. This could be repeated as many times as needed to make an almost perfectly-straight line miles in length.Evidence that the line makers used this technique exists in the form of the remains of a few stakes found at the ends of some of the lines.
The symbols were probably made by drawing the desired figure at some reasonable size, then using a grid system to divide it up. The symbol could then be redrawn at full scale by recreating the grid on the ground and working on each individual square one at a time.
Related to Water?
Recently two researchers, David Johnson and Steve Mabee, have advanced a theory that the geoglyphs may be related to water. The Nazca plain is one of the driest places on Earth, getting less than one inch of rain a year. Johnson, while looking for sources of water in the region, noticed that ancient aqueducts, called puquios, seemed to be connected with some of the lines.Johnson thinks that the shapes may be a giant map of the underground water sources traced on the land. Mabee is working to gather evidence that might confirm this theory.
Other scientists are more skeptical, but admit that in a region where finding water was vital to survival, there might well be some connection between the ceremonial purpose of the lines and water.Johan Reinhard, a cultural anthropologist with the National Geographic Society, found that villagers in Bolivia walk along a straight pathway to shrines while praying and dancing for rain.Something similar may have been done at the ancient Nazca lines.
Human Sacrifice
A recently discovered headless body suggests that human sacrifice was used by the Nazca people in religion ceremonies. ”Human sacrifice and decapitation were part of powerful rituals that would have allayed fears by invoking the ancestors to ensure fertility and the continuation of Nasca society,” wrote Christina Conlee of Texas State University in an article in Current Anthropology. ”The decapitation of the La Tiza individual appears to have been part of a ritual associated with ensuring agricultural fertility and the continuation of life and rebirth of the community.” The body is one of eight found in the Nazca area, buried seated with no head. A ceramic jar painted with an image of a head was found next to the remains. The head on the jar has a tree with eyes growing out of it, making it seem likely that the sacrifice was part of a fertility ceremony.
What was done with the heads of the victims? The Nazca were known to collect “Trophy Heads.” The Nazca removed the brain and soft tissue from the skulls, sewed the lips closed with cactus spines and drilled a hole through the forehead to accommodate a loop of woven rope. The heads were then hung on the ropes for display. Originally these were considered to be war trophies collected from distant tribes, but recent DNA analysis shows that the heads came from the Nazca population itself, suggesting that the motive was religious in nature.

The lines at Nazca aren’t the only landscape figures South America boasts. About 850 miles south of the plain is the largest human figure in the world laid out upon the side of Solitary Mountain in Chile. The Giant of Atacama stands 393 feet high and is surrounded by lines similar to those at Nazca.
Along the Pacific Coast in the foothills of the Andes Mountains is etched a figure resembling a giant candelabrum. Further south, Sierra Pintada, which means “the painted mountain” in Spanish, is covered with vast pictures including spirals, circles, warriors and a condor.Archaeologists speculate that these figures, clearly visible from the ground, served as guideposts for Inca traders.

This is a alien sighting and abduction story seen in the archives of The Daily Gazette. It goes back a while but it seems that the person involved, Richard L.Price, would still like to find out who the creatures were that abducted him when a child and implanted a strange object inside him.
Price said, “I’ve felt over the years, that they’ve been with me – that they’re with me all the time.”
This is his story:
When he was eight years old he and a friend were walking near the railroad tracks in Troy. On hearing a noise, which sounded similar to a train approaching, they headed into a wooded area. The friend decided to turn back so Price was then alone.
He continued walking near a cemetery and a covered bridge. This is where the encounter happened.
At first he was scared. He said, “When I got a look at them, I turned and ran. Then all of a sudden, as if they did something to me, I stopped and wasn’t afraid any more.”
The aliens communicated with him, “You are coming with us.”
They took him to their spacecraft. It was an oval shape with six sides on top and on the bottom. There were pedestals coming out of the bottom for landing, similar to those seen in old science fiction stories.
He described the aliens as being between 4 and 5 feet tall with grey-pink complexions and they wore suits of red and blue together with helmets.
Price was taken into the craft and shown what he describes as a movie, only it felt to him as if he was part of the film. Amongst other things the movie showed a battle in space, where another craft was blown up by using beams of light which the spaceships were aiming at each other.
He was then taken into another room and had to remove all of his clothes for an examination. A scanning like device was used over his body. At one point the scanner stopped and burned his leg but he didn’t feel any pain. Another instrument was passed over his leg and it was healed straight away.
Next came his implant. A hand held instrument was used to implant a tiny object under the skin of his penis. He was told not to tamper with it. He was then released to go home.
He didn’t tell anyone about what had happened.
As he got older and attended High School, however, he mentioned what had happened to a girlfriend. His encounter and the story soon spread around his classmates.
The news also got out to his parents and other adults and Price was sent for psychological tests and was confined to a psychiatric hospital for three months. He was only released when he told the doctors he had made up the story. This was the only way they would free him.
In the early 1980s Price saw a physician, Neal Rzepkowski, who confirmed there was an object under the skin of Price’s penis, that did not belong there. Rzepkowski told him not to disturb it as it wasn’t infected or causing him discomfort.
The physician told The Daily Gazette, “… He appears normal. Who knows? It might be true.”
In 1989, however, the implanted object suddenly popped out. Price said he was scared, “I thought I was a goner. I thought I was going to die.” He had somehow convinced himself that the implanted object had kept him healthy.
He claims he looked at the item through a magnifying glass and saw something crawl away from it, and is convinced it was an alien bug.
As for the object itself an identified physicist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology was given half but has yet to identify it. All the physicist would tell the Gazette was that the object was made up of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen and was therefore organic or biological.
The 1966 Westall UFO incident is hailed by some as one of the best mass UFO sightings of the modern UFO era. But recently discovered government documents have some suspecting that the UFO was actually a government research balloon.
The incident occurred on the morning of April 6, 1966 in the Australian suburb of Clayton South in Melbourne near Westall High School. Hundreds of students, staff, and nearby residents watched the strange object hover, land, and quickly fly away. Witnesses describe the craft as a silver or grey shining object shaped like a flying saucer or “a cup turned upside down on a saucer.” The UFO was reportedly accompanied by five light aircraft. According to the witnesses, the incident lasted twenty minutes.

Some report that men in uniforms arrived at the location of the craft’s landing, removing extensive soil samples. Some witnesses even claim that these unidentified men in uniforms scorched the landing area to eliminate any potential evidence of the UFO’s presence. And The Dandenong Journal reported that “students and staff have been instructed to ‘talk to no-one’ about the incident.”
Witnesses were, and still are, adamant that what they observed was absolutely not a light aircraft or a weather balloon. But, based on recently uncovered documents, some believe a balloon is actually the culprit.
Unexplained phenomenon researcher Keith Basterfield believes a rogue balloon from the HIBAL (high altitude balloon) project is the likely explanation for the Westall UFO. And, more specifically, he thinks it was HIBAL flight 292. The HIBAL project was reportedly a joint US-Australian initiative between 1960 and 1969 to monitor atmospheric radiation levels. The project accomplished this by using large silver balloons with payloads of sophisticated sensors. Basterfield formulated his hypothesis after reviewing all available documentation, including what he unearthed with Freedom of Information searches.
A high-altitude balloon being launched from the Roswell air field in 1967.
The Herald Sun explains, “Documents held by the National Archives and former Department of Supply indicate one test balloon launched from Mildura may have been blown off course and came down in Clayton South in a paddock near Westall High School, alarming and baffling hundreds of eyewitnesses, including teachers and students.” The Herald Sun points out that, despite government records of several HIBAL test flights, “the paperwork for the launches scheduled for the day before Westall appear to have been lost or destroyed.” Basterfield comments, “What is strikingly missing is a memo reporting on the actual four launches for April 1966, one of which was scheduled for 5 April 1966, the day before Westall . . . So we have no (official) knowledge of where flight 292 went.”
Despite claims of discovered government documents, many, including those who witnessed the UFO in 1966, are sure to find the HIBAL hypothesis hard to swallow.
The 1966Westall UFO incident was recently commemorated with a a $150,000 UFO-themed playground that features a nearly eleven-foot-high, large, silver flying saucer that can accommodate up to seven children. It is trimmed with blue LED lights and is loosely based on what witnesses saw in 1966.
When a UFO video seems too good to be true — is it?
We’ve pointed out many times how difficult it is to identify hoaxes among UFO photos and videos, and computer technology has just added to the confusion. With the right app or Photoshop elements, even youngsters can create and post real-looking, out-of-this-world UFOs to YouTube faster than you can say, “ET, phone home.” But the footage doesn’t always hold up under expert scrutiny.
Consider this recent example: A triangular UFO was reportedly videotaped over Kassel, Germany, on June 26 by a man who was taping his son playing in a park, reports the International Business Times.
“The fact that the person blurred out the face of the kid and didn’t get the UFO in the dead center of the video is what causes me to believe this is real,” he said. “Also, the lighting and shading on the UFO matches that of the trees and the bars of [the] jungle gym.”
But is that analysis enough to give this UFO the seal of approval? Other experts say no.
“There are two giveaway segments” that show the UFO is computer-generated, saidMarc Dantonio, chief photo and video analyst for the Mutual UFO Network. “As the object is first seen, you notice that the cameraman shifts the camera up and down a bit. The object should not be affected by this motion at all.”
Dantonio, who was featured on last month’s Syfy Channel documentary, “Aliens on the Moon: The Truth Exposed,” told The Huffington Post in an email that the triangular object in this Germany video should appear to move smoothly through the sky. “Its path, however, indicates anything but. As the camera moves, the object shifts in the sky in direct correlation to the movements of the camera.
“This shows me that this is a CG composition where the UFO flying in the sky was poorly tracked with ground objects. This happens several times,” Dantonio wrote.
The cracks in the facade don’t end there.
“It walks like a duck, it talks like a duck, but it’s not a duck,” says former FBI special agent Ben Hansen.
“The video incorporates the image of a classic triangle UFO, which witnesses often report as silently floating across the sky. The videographer got that part right. However, there are several major red flags that tell me this was a hoax,” Hansen told HuffPost in an email.
“Although witnesses’ reactions can vary greatly when seeing a shocking UFO event, this man appears extremely underwhelmed. I would expect a little more enthusiasm or effort to try and follow the craft when it emerges behind the trees. If he made efforts to follow it, I’d like to see that. We’re led to believe that he puts down the camera and casually strolls away.”
Hansen agrees with Dantonio that the video is most likely the product of CGI (computer-generated imagery).
“As much time as was spent on getting the movement of the UFO right, the editor was a little lazy on the details of what we call ‘rotoscoping,’” Hansen said, describing what is probably the final blow to the video’s authenticity. “Going frame by frame — to tell the software program which objects the UFO needed to pass behind — it appears they got a little sloppy.
Hansen explains that he magnified and lightened the image, shown below, and it “shows the corner of the UFO accidentally overlapping in front of the playground structure when it was supposed to be passing behind.”
When it comes to UFO videos, you can’t always believe what you think you’re seeing.
CNN reports that the Eiler Fire raging about 200 miles north of Sacramento came within a mile of the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array in Hat Creek on Tuesday, forcing staffers "to evacuate and temporarily shut down all of their computers, Internet, and power" for several hours.
"We can't listen when all that is down," Seth Shostak, senior astronomer and director at SETI (or "Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence"), told CNN. "The fire on the west had jumped the road, burnt down our favorite lunch place, got within a mile of the telescopes."
The Allen Telescope Array, funded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, includes 42 antennas designed to listen for extraterrestrial activity "at centimeter wavelengths.
Shostak, though, downplayed the possibility that they missed an E.T. discovery.
"We just lost some search hours," he said. "To expect that E.T. will somehow reach out at this moment, that would be very bizarre."
Power was later restored but SETI staffers "were not been able to communicate with the antennas," Shostak wrote on the institute's blog late Tuesday. He expects the array to be back up and running by Thursday.

At around 09:30 UTC this morning, the Rosetta spacecraft completed its decade-long trek throughout the solar system as it finally reached its intended target of Comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The spacecraft will orbit the comet as it makes its way into the inner solar system, studying how the nucleus is affected by the heat of the Sun.
The comet is currently about 450 million kilometers (251 million miles) from Earth and is currently headed toward the inner solar system as part of its 6.45-year-long orbit. The orbit extends past Jupiter and comes roughly halfway between the orbits of Mars and Earth. Rosetta is currently studying the comet, trying to find the best place for the lander when it launches in November.
If you want to keep track of Rosetta throughout its journey and see how it has been navigating the solar system for the last decade, ESA has an interactive website that will show the past, present, and future position of the spacecraft.

The new film “Earth to Echo” — which follows a group of kids on a fictional journey to help save a small alien robot — might have a bit of extraterrestrial truth at its core, one alien-hunting astronomer says.
As it turns out, writer Henry Gayden’s (“Zombie Roadkill,” the upcoming “Children of the Lamp”) depiction of a small, owl-like alien robot might be a more likely candidate for first contact than most people would expect, said Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the seti Institute in Mountain View, California. Given the dynamics of interstellar travel, robots make sense, he said.
“Just about the time that you develop enough science or tech to fly to other planets and other stars… you begin to develop faster computers,” Shostak told Space.com. “If you believe the people working on artificial intelligence — they think we will have thinking machines by midcentury. That is just decades away.”
