Former Obama Counselor Regrets Not Disclosing UFO Files
Every now and then, figures of authority acknowledge the UFO phenomenon and the impact it has on today’s society. While the effects of this secrecy are not up for debate, the decision to keep UFO files classified certainly is. It is a matter that concerns all of us and we have the right to know.
In recent UFO disclosure news, former Obama Counselor John Podesta has made a statement that should come as no surprise to us. On the day he stepped down from the position of Presidential Adviser, Podesta sent out this tweet:
Certainly, his position provided him access to classified files pertaining to the UFO phenomenon. Under the Clinton Administration, Podesta served as Deputy Chief of senior policy adviser, Assistant to the President and from late 1998 to early 2001, as the White House Chief of Staff.
John Podesta is no stranger to the case of flying saucers and has oftentimes manifested interest towards this phenomenon. He also advocates the disclosure of government investigations. At a conference held by the Coalition for Freedom of Information in 2002, he said:
It is time for the government to declassify records that are more than 25 years old and to provide scientists with the data that will assist in determining the real nature of this phenomenon.[…] We ought to do it, really, because it’s right. We ought to do it, quite frankly, because the American people can handle the truth. And we ought to do it because it’s the law.”
Podesta also wrote the foreword to Leslie Kean’s book UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record and concluded that:
The American people – and people around the world – want to know, and they can handle the truth.”
He’s also played an important role in the introduction of Executive Order 12958. To those of you unfamiliar with EO 12958, it was this act that opened up the road to declassifying millions of pages from the United States’ national security history. Without this movement, spearheaded by Podesta, we wouldn’t have heard about the UFO files declassified in recent years.
We’ve established that John Podesta has been a key player in the UFO game and we should note that he’s also a fan of The X-Files since he stated in 2007 that “the truth is out there.”
So why would he state that his biggest failure of 2014 was the inability to secure the disclosure of UFO files? It’s because there are millions of pages still being kept secret. Because what has already been declassified is merely the tip of the iceberg.
The truth might be out there but part of it is here on Earth, locked behind closed doors.
It’s rumored that Podesta will join Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as a senior adviser. Perhaps he will have another chance at becoming influential in the White House. Those UFO files won’t stay hidden forever.
It's hard to talk about UFOs in the 50s, 60s and 70s without mentioning abductees, but what of contactees? Whereas abductees are taken onto craft supposedly for experimentation and observation, procedures and the like, contactees have communication with alien beings without any physical manipulation/examination or moving to a secondary site. There was a supposed contactee named George Van Tassel. He was born in 1910 to a fairly well-to-do family in Ohio. He showed promise with his hands and mechanics and led a life of many jobs in the field of mechanic work and had a pilot's license. By a strange series of events (like most contactees report), he came across a man who was a loner and owned a prospect near Giant Rock in the Mojave Desert in California. When the loner died during WWII, Van Tassel applied to lease there to develop an airstrip.
Van Tassel was an airplane mechanic and inspector. He spent years in the newly booming aerospace industry into the late 1940s. Then, he moved his family to a simple existence out by Giant Rock, living in a room dug out by the loner long ago. Van Tassel then proceeded to build a home, an airstrip, a cafe and a dude ranch there. Interestingly, Van Tassel started hosting meditations in the room under the rock. That very year, he said he was visited by an alien from Venus who woke him up and spoke to him telepathically. He said he was given information about how to build something that could rejuvenate a human's cells, “a time machine for basic research on rejuvenation, anti-gravity and time travel.” Source: Van Tassel described the Integratron as being created for scientific and spiritual research with the aim to recharge and rejuvenate people’s cells, “a time machine for basic research on rejuvenation, anti-gravity and time travel”. The domed wood structure has a rotating metal apparatus on the outside he called an “electrostatic dirod”. Van Tassel claimed it was made of non ferromagnetic; constructed of only wood, concrete, glass and fibreglass lacking even metal screws or nails. The Integratron was never fully completed due to Van Tassel's sudden death a few weeks before the official opening. In recent times some people who visit the unfinished Integratron claim to be rejuvenated by staying there, and experiencing sound baths inside.
Annually at the rock, Van Tassel hosted a Giant Rock Spacecraft Convention from 1953 to 1978. Guests arrived by car and even by small planes to the air strip to attend. Even George Adamski, the most famous contactee, attended.
If that wasn't enough, in his “new age” compound, Van Tassel founded “The University of Universal Wisdom” and shared spiritual revelations from his encounters.
As someone who has had contactee encounters and the sorts of universal insights I was given, I do understand his determination to act on knowledge he believes he received from these encounters. I have tried to make sense of my own information and feel free to share it when people want to know.
I believe there are encounters with other beings, whether they are from other planets or not, I am not certain, but I have my own thoughts on that matter. These are exceedingly similar to those who had “angelic” encounters throughout history. It can make you want to share a new perspective and, in that way, it is eye-opening and mind-opening for the general public. I get more uncomfortable when religious practices are based on it and cults are formed like the sad Heaven's Gate followers that performed mass suicide.
I hope we keep the conversations open. So far as Van Tassel is concerned, I think that he was heading to a destiny. His life seemed to lead to this point where he had a mission and he found the spot and the mission arrived. I understand the feeling. I think he might have had some genuine encounters or something so moving that it motivated him in extraordinary ways.
WORLD War One, London: a German airship is pounding the capital with bombs. Several aircraft are scrambled to attack the enemy raider. But as well as the giant Zeppelin a mysterious object is seen in the sky by the British pilots. “One of them described it as looking like a railway carriage with the blinds down,” says Nigel Watson, who has investigated the century-old sighting. “One pilot took some shots with his revolver but the object flew away out of range.” The strange incident is one of the more extraordinary encounters featured in the Plympton author’s latest book, UFOs Of The First World War. There are many more: Nigel’s book will cause a rethink for anybody who reckons UFOs – unidentified flying objects – only arrived after World War Two departed in 1945. True, the term ‘flying saucer’ was coined in 1947 (after a description of an unexplained object that flew ‘like a saucer would if you skipped it across the water’). But UFOs have been seen for centuries and descriptions of them have evolved over time. “It’s called ‘cultural tracking’,” says Nigel. “People tend to see things in the sky that are a bit more advanced than the current technology but still within the bounds of credibility and the possibilities of that time. “What we see is conditioned by the media and culture.” Hence during the 1914-18 war people saw, and explained what they saw as, objects that fitted the era of airships and biplanes. Nigel, 60, is an expert in the history of UFOs and the latest book is his fourth on the subject. His research came from War Office files held by the Public Records Office – police passed sightings to the government department charged with conducting the British effort during the conflict – and from newspapers (which were heavily censored from 1915 on). “Military intelligence officers investigated the sightings,” says Nigel. “Often they were found, after a few phone calls, to be misidentifications. Some were not explained. “There were a lot of UFO sightings in the Lake District. Troops were sent to search for an enemy aircraft base in Scotland.
“Nothing was found but a reward of £100 (the equivalent of a year’s wage for some) was offered to anybody who did.” The Ashburton area was another hotspot for sightings. Lieutenant Colonel W P Drury, a military intelligence officer based in Plymouth, was sent to investigate a series reports of strange, floating lights in the sky in June and July, 1915. The officer witnessed the light once himself and noted that other sightings were on a line on the map that passed though Buckfast Abbey. “Some German prisoners were being held there,” says Nigel. “He thought that the light might be up to them, to signal (to the enemy) but there were not a lot of targets on Dartmoor.” Nothing he found has convinced Nigel of the presence of an alien life in connection with the sightings. He remains an ‘optimistic sceptic’, he says.

Eerder was men er al op de hoogte van de aanwezigheid van stikstof in de atmosfeer van Mars. Om leven mogelijk te maken, moet het echter omgezet worden in stikstofverbindingen.
Op onze planeet gebeurt die stikstofcyclus door bacteriën die vaste stikstof produceren, die op zijn beurt door planten wordt opgenomen. Van daaruit komt de stikstof in de grond terecht, waarna de cyclus zich herhaalt. Als er ooit leven was op Mars, dan is de kans groot dat het stikstofverbindingen gebruikte.
Blikseminslag
In dat geval kwam de stikstof waarschijnlijk door blikseminslagen of door hitte van een impact zoals een meteorietinslag op de rode planeet terecht. De ontdekking betekent niet noodzakelijk dat er op dit moment leven is, maar toont wel aan dat het ooit mogelijk was. ‘Daarom gaan we uitzoeken of het proces van stikstofverbindingen nu nog steeds gebeurt’, zegt Nasa-wetenschapper Jennifer Stern aan de LA Times.
Steeds meer bewijs
Het is niet de eerste keer dat Curiosity een belangrijke ontdekking doet. Eerder vond de verkenner al een bedding van een oude rivier en toonde het aan dat er drinkbaar water was op de planeet.

APennsylvania witness at Palmyra reported watching a large, black, V-shaped UFO that appeared “shimmery” in the night sky, according to testimony in Case 64079 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside walking a dog and searching the sky for satellites using a phone app when the object was first seen beginning at 8:22 p.m. on March 18, 2015.
“After finding and watching three satellites and not finding the fourth, I heard and saw one of our UH-60s flying past Hershey Park on their way back to Fort Indiantown Gap. While watching the helicopter and noticing that several other airplanes and commuter jets were in the air on such a clear chilly night, I detected movement out of the corner of my eye.”

The witness noticed the unusual object.
“I turned my head and there was a giant black V flying from the southeast to northwest. It had to my best recall, six red lights that I could see on the lower left wing, one under the nose and one I could make out under the right wing in the further most aft position.”
The witness tried to gather as much information as possible during the short sighting.
“With my arm fully extended and the right hand thumb and index finger fully extended – that was the size from nose tip to trailing edge of a wing. It was completely silent. It travelled a heading of about 320-330 degrees. It passed over and just behind the Blackhawk I was watching. All other air traffic was unaffected.”
The object had an odd characteristic.
“Looking directly at it was harder than using off center viewing which is best for night time. Looking at it directly, the red lights were very dim and the craft was shimmery almost like “Star Trek” cloaking. With off center viewing you could see the red lights better and the outline of the craft.”
The object appeared as though it was sliding along in the sky.
“It wasn’t like it was flying. It was like it was sliding on a solid surface. It was so smooth, fast and silent. Whole exposure time was about 5 seconds. To the average person that may not sound like much, but to a aircrew member, five seconds can be an eternity when the adrenaline and training kicks in. I tried to get a picture with my cell phone, but once you took your eyes off the craft it was hard to re-acquire the target. Then a tree was in the way and then I snapped a picture in the area it would have been in, but it was inside the satellite app of my iPhone.”
The witness is guessing the object’s airspeed would be 5,000 feet and 1,000 mph., with zero sound. Heading 320-330 degrees and the size estimate is 300-350 feet long nose to tail/end of wing. (Credit: Google)

“Doing my own research it mostly resembled the V from Phoenix. My educated guess on altitude and airspeed would be 5,000 feet and 1,000 mph. with zero sound. Heading 320-330 degrees and size estimate 300-350 feet long nose to tail/end of wing.”
The witness has a military background.
“Twenty-four years military service; still active National Guard. Enlisted for 15 years and now a Warrant Officer since 2006. I spent my whole career in aviation and most of it flying and crewing CH-47 Chinooks. Now a course writer and platform instructor. I know aviation well and I am trained to react and work under pressure and unusual environments. After the sighting, I finished with the measurements.”
Palmyra is a borough in Lebanon County, PA, population 7,096.
Pennsylvania is currently a UFO Alert Level 5 – with 0.71 sightings per million population based on MUFON February 2015 statistics. Pennsylvania received a total of nine UFO reports in February.
The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

A family was outdoors enjoying a barbecue when they noticed a Ministry of Defence helicopter chasing four UFOs through the skies above the English town of Bolton.
Andrea Finney, her husband Nigel, and their son were eating outdoors when Andrea reportedly noticed the UFOs in the sky. She pointed out the strange objects, and instructed Nigel to grab a camera. After retrieving the camera, he was able to snap a few photos of the unidentified aerial objects. He explains to UK media outlet Mirror, “Our camera does not have a good zoom on it or anything – it is just a normal camera, so we took what we could but afterwards we just could not explain it.”

The witnesses assert that the UFOs “zoomed off” shortly after, and they claim they observed a MOD helicopter in pursuit of these unidentified craft.
“We just could not explain it,” says Nigel. He continues, “They were not hot air balloons. They were not Chinese lanterns. They were just something else.”
Andrea adds, “You just had to be there to see it, it was the strangest thing I have ever seen in my life . . . I was just gobsmacked.”

The day and time of the incident is unclear. But the event definitely startled the witnesses and left them scratching their heads.

In 2008, a team of researches headed for Hawara, Egypt (55 miles south of Cairo), to investigate a lost subterranean labyrinth, described by many classic authors like Herodotus and Strabo.

This just in Ufologists, a new ufo documentary for 2015!!! This one looks good, A Field Full of Secrets is about cereologists who take the designs of crop circles and try to build a UFO out of them. While some might dismiss this documentary, just remember there's two sides to a story. Not all man made crop circles are the same as suggested by physicist Eltjo Haselhoff and biophysicist William Levengood. This may be the best crop circle documentary ever created...
De Amerikaanse robotjeep Mars Curiosity heeft sporen van nitraat in de Marsbodem gevonden, zo heeft Jennifer Stern van het Goddard Space Flight Center van de NASA en collega's in het laatste nummer van het wetenschappelijke vakblad Proceedings van de Amerikaanse Academie voor Wetenschappen bericht. Meteen is er weer een hint dat Mars misschien levensvatbaar is (geweest).
Het leven op Aarde heeft een bron nodig van chemisch gefixeerde stikstof voor de synthese van belangrijke biomoleculen. In een zoektocht naar stikstof op de Rode Planeet heeft de Curiosity nu aanwijzingen gevonden voor de aanwezigheid in Marsstof en in sedimenten van een potentiële vroegere oceaan op Mars van 70 tot 1100 ppm nitraat.
De stikstof die in de Marsbodem gefixeerd is, kan een primitieve stikstofkringloop op het oppervlak van het zeer jonge Mars mogelijk hebben gemaakt en daarmee een bioscheikundig toegankelijke stikstofbron, schrijven de wetenschappers.
Vorsers rond Gary King van de Lousiana State University meldden in een andere studie in de Proceedings een potentiële energiebron voor Marsmicroben uit de oertijd te hebben geïdentificeerd: koolstofmonoxide (CO), dat veel in de atmosfeer voorkomt, kan de stofwissel van mirco-organismen op en in de Marsbodem aandrijven. Volgens King zijn onlangs zoutminnende aardse bacterieën, die CO tot CO2 omwisselen, geëigende modelorganismen voor mogelijke dergelijke Marsmicroben.
Dar er mogelijk leven op Mars kan zijn geweest, wordt ook al aangegeven door het feit dat er een warmer en vochtiger klimaat op onze buurplaneet is geweest.
Wetenschap Australische wetenschappers claimen de grootste meteorietenkrater ter wereld te hebben ontdekt. Het ruimtepuin sloeg miljoenen jaren geleden in op aarde en veroorzaakte een krater van 400 kilometer doorsnee in het continent, zo meldt de Australian National University.
De krater zelf is niet meer zichtbaar. Die is inmiddels zo oud dat hij verdwenen is. Maar in bepaalde lagen in de grond is duidelijk te zien dat er ooit twee meteorieten van beide zeker tien kilometer in doorsnee zijn ingeslagen. Vermoedelijk splitste het stuk steen net voor de inslag in de aarde.
De onderzoekers, die hun bevindingen publiceerden in het geologische vakblad Tectonophysics, stellen dat de klap fataal geweest moet zijn voor veel levende organismen. Ze kunnen echter geen gekende extinctie aan de inslag linken. Mede daarom vermoeden ze dat de meteorieten meer dan 300 miljoen jaar geleden op de aarde insloegen.
Volgens de wetenschappers werpt de vondst van de inslagplek nieuw licht op de geschiedenis van de aarde. Tot nu toe wist niemand van deze krater, tot voor geothermisch onderzoek twee kilometer diep in de grond werd geboord.
