Romans Recorded Some Of The First UFOs

One of the first recorded examples of a UFO actually came from Rome, although most people tend to think of them as a modern phenomena. In 218 B.C., a written account reports that a fleet of gleaming ships appeared to be floating in the sky of Rome. That wasn’t the only one, either—in A.D. 150 a report from an area right outside of Rome described “a beast like a piece of pottery about one hundred feet in size, multicolored on top and shooting out fiery rays, landed in a dust cloud.”

The Roman author Julius Obsequens, believed to have lived in the fourth century A.D., drew on Livy as well as other sources of his time to compile his book Prodigorium liber, which describes many peculiar phenomena, some of which could be interpreted as UFO sightings. Here are just a few examples:

216 B.C. Things like ships were seen in the sky over Italy… At Arpi (180 Roman miles, east of Rome, in Apulia) a round shield was seen in the sky. At Capua, the sky was all on fire, and one saw figures like ships…

99 B.C. When C. Murius and L. Valerius were consuls, in Tarquinia, there fell in different places… a thing like a flaming torch, and it came suddenly from the sky. Towards sunset, a round object like a globe, or round or circular shield took its path in the sky, from west to east.

90 B.C. In the territory of Spoletium (65 Roman miles north of Rome, in Umbria) a globe of fire, of golden colour, fell to the earth, gyrating. It then seemed to increase in size, rose from the earth, and ascended into the sky, where it obscured the disc of the sun, with its brilliance. It revolved towards the eastern quadrant of the sky. A later chronicler of inexplicable phenomena, one Conrad Wolffhart (a professor of grammar and dialectics who under the pen name of Lycosthenes wrote the compendium Prodigiorum ac Ostentorum Chronicon, published in 1567), mentions the following events:

393 A.D. Strange lights were seen in the sky in the days of the Emperor Theodosius. On a sudden, a bright globe appeared at midnight. It shone brilliantly near the day star (planet, Venus), about the circle of the Zodiac. This globe shone little less brilliantly than the planet, and little by little, a great number of other glowing orbs drew near the first globe. The spectacle was like a swarm of bees flying around the bee-keeper, and the light of these orbs was as if they were dashing violently against each other. Soon, they blended together into one awful flame, and bodied forth to the eye as a horrible two-edged sword. The strange globe which was first seen now appeared like the pommel to a handle, and all the little orbs, fused with the first, shone as brilliantly as the first globe.

UFO ‘FLEET’ SEEN ON NASA SPACE STATION VIDEO — RESEARCHER ASKS, ‘ALIENS OR SECRET GOVERNMENT TESTS?’

What appears to be a UFO “fleet” appears in NASA video taken from the International Space Station robotic camera, as discovered by a prominent YouTube online UFO archivist and researcher. The find, if indeed it is a find, is just the latest in a long series of UFO appearances on the NASA ISS video feed.

Just last week, a YouTube user in Australia found apparent evidence of a UFO “miles in diameter” hovering near the space station. The user, who posted the video under his screen name of “blubeard2011,” said that he had been combing the NASA ISS feed for two years hoping to find some evidence of a UFO observing the space station that orbits about 250 miles above the surface of the Earth.

But when he finally found one, as reported in the Inquisitr article that can be accessed at this link, it was a doozy.

That sighting came about three weeks after another UFO hunter examining the NASA feed found what was described as a cigar-shaped UFO flying past the space station at “warp speed.”

The new sighting was recorded by the prolific online UFO researcher who goes by the name Streetcap1. The video is viewable above. It was publicized by Scott C. Waring, another top online UFO researcher, on his blogUFO Sightings Daily.

“These UFOs visited the space station this week and were found by Streetcap1 of Youtube. Only one of the UFOs was clear enough to get a nice close up of it, but that’s all I needed to tell if it was a reflection or a solid object,” wrote Waring.

• “The UFO on the far left is 100% solid. The others are probably the same. I notice that the one on the left fades out, while the one on the far right fades in. Streetcap1 is right, its possible these ships are some covert project, like the old Aurora project, but still unidentified.”

If the UFOs are not clearly visible on the video, Waring isolated a screen capture of two of the UFOs hovering around the space station.

And then Waring zoomed in on one of the objects.

The Aurora project mentioned by Waring was alleged to be a secret testing program for a new, supersonic stealth surveillance aircraft. In December of last year, as the Inquisitr reported at the time, a series of ear-shattering and unexplained sonic booms over Britain were linked to the Aurora project.

Whether the UFO “fleet” captured in the NASA video is part of a similar program, albeit one based in space, remains to be seen. Of course, as some scientists have claimed about the repeated UFO sightings near the space station, the sightings could simply be the result of glitches in the video system.

L'ile Maury

Maury Island est une îles située dans le Puget Sound non loin de la ville de Seattle dans l'état de Washington au nord-ouest des états-Unis. 


C'est là qu'un après midi de juin 1947 débute se qui seras désormais connu sous le nom de :L'incident de l'île de Maury



Le samedi 21 juin 1947 à 14:00 , une vedette garde-côte américaine, commandée par Harold Dahl, dans laquelle se trouvent également son fils (15 ans), son chien, ainsi qu'un autre membre d'équipage, patrouille au niveau de Puget Sound. Le jour est morne et sombre, avec des nuages bas. 

Le bateau fait escale dans une baie de l'île Maury (Maury island), à environ 5 km de Tacoma. Les gens à bord de la vedette voient alors 6 machines très grosses, en forme de beignets juste au-dessus de leurs têtes, à environ 600 m de hauteur. Aucun de ces engins n'émet de bruit. 5 des ovnis commencent à tourner autour du 6ème, lequel perd de l'altitude jusqu'à ce qu'il s'arrête, en vol stationnaire, à environ 150m (250 m ?) au-dessus du niveau de l'eau. Dahl évalue son diamètre 30 m, et la largeur du trou en son milieu (comme à Phoenix) à 8 m. Sur son bord extérieur, métallique et brillant, se trouvent des hublots de 2 m ; la circonférence interne est trouée de sombres fenêtres circulaires. De crainte que cet engin ne tombe dans la mer, Dhal range le bateau sur la plage. C'est là qu'il prend 4 photographies des objets. L'ovni central vomit alors des fragments de métal en fusion qui tombent dans l'eau et sur le rivage. L'un d'eux tue le chien, un autre brùle grièvement le fils de Dahl, et une mouette est également tuée. Le bateau est endommagé. Puis l'ovni s'élève, rejoint les autres, et tous les 6 partent à toute vitesse au-dessus du Pacifique. Les hommes recueillent des échantillons de métal encore chaud. De retour au port, Dahl rapporte les événements à son officier supérieur, Fred Crisman. 
Le lendemain matin, un homme vêtu de noir arrive chez Dahl dans une Buick noire et l'invite à déjeuner. Durant le repas, il signifie à Dahl qu'il est au courant de tout ce qui s'est passé à Maury et lui dit : Le silence est la meilleure chose pour vous et votre famille. Vous avez vu ce que vous n'auriez jamais du voir. Dahl établit plus tard que personne n'a parlé à qui que ce soit de leur étrange expérience. 
Le lundi Fred Crisman se rend à Maury afin de voir par lui-même les débris métalliques. Tandis qu'il est là -bas, un disque volant en forme de beignet apparaît, survole la baie puis disparaît dans Une nuée d'orage. Il développe ensuite les photographies : elles sont couvertes de tâches blanches, comme si elles avaient été exposées à quelques radiations... 

Fred Crisman signale en suite l'affaire ...
Crisman signale l'affaire au journaliste Ray Palmer, qui demande à Kenneth Arnold d'enquêter. Il lui donne pour cela 200 $, une somme si énorme que lorsque Arnold s'en vente aux bureaux de l'Idaho Daily Statesman, l'éditeur envoie un télégramme au Service de Renseignement de l'USAF pour signaler l'événement. 
Le lundi 30 juin, Arnold se rend à Tacoma et parle avec Fred Crisman. Le lendemain, il voit les fragments comparés à des scories, mâchefer, mais pas les négatifs des photos égarées. Il appelle le lieutenant Frank Brown, un officier de renseignements de la base de l'USAF de Hamilton (Californie), pour lui demander de se joindre à l'enquête. 
Brown est un certain capitaine William L. Davidson, tous 2 du département G-2, prennent la route dans l'heure même, à bord d'un bombardier B-25. Ils s'entretiennent l'après-midi avec Crisman dans la chambre d'hôtel d'Arnold. Brown dit qu'il doit retourner en Californie dans la nuit et ne peut donc visiter l'île. Mais il remplit un large carton de plusieurs kg de fragments métalliques avant de partir, de Tacoma dans le B-25 pour San Francisco.

Le mercredi 2 juillet, tôt le matin, Crisman est au téléphone avec Arnold. Le B-25 où se trouvaientBrown et Davidson s'est écrasé près de Kelso. Tous 2 sont morts. 

Le samedi 5, Arnold est présenté au capitaine Emil J. Smith, qui vient de faire une observation avec son co-pilote la veille. Ils s'entendent bien et deviennent bons amis. Arnold demande àSmith de l'aider dans son enquête sur l'Ile Maury. Ce dernier se déclare heureux d'apporter son aide, et Arnold se rend à Seattle pour l'emmener à Tacoma. 
Arnold organise une expédition à l'île Maury en compagnie de Crisman et Dahl, mais il s'avère que le moteur de leur bateau rend l'âme. 

Le FBI démarre immédiatement une enquête...
Le FBI qui a immédiatement démarré une enquête suite au crash, entend Dahl et Crisman confesser qu'ils ont fabriqué cette histoire de soucoupe volante. Les "débris" auraient consisté en des morceaux de ferraille et de pierre ponce récupéré sur la plage de l'île Maury. L'US Army et les survivants confirment que le crash du B-25 a été causé par un feu de moteur. 

L'explication officielle est un canular monté par les gardes-côtes pour se faire de la publicité.
Cependant, certains faits planant sur cette affaire, peuvent laisser penser que "L'incident de l'ile Maury" soit moins un canular que se que le FBI ait bien voulus le laisser entendre... 

Les faits troublants ,curieux...
-...Arnold organise une expédition à l'île Maury en compagnie de Crisman et Dahl, mais il s'avère que le moteur de leur bateau rend l'âme. ... 

-...Mais il remplit un large carton de plusieurs kg de fragments métalliques avant de partir, de Tacoma dans le B-25 pour San Francisco...suite au crash les fragments ne sont pas retrouvés. Le Tacoma Times qui relate l'incident indique que l'avion a pu être saboté ou abattu. D'après le rapport établi le 4 aoùt , l'un des moteurs de l'avion a mystérieusement pris feu 20 mn après l'envol... 

-Suite a la panne moteur du bateau,Crisman promet de rappeler Arnold dès que le problème serait résolu. Il ne le fera jamais. Et ne rendra pas non plus les photographies. Il est devenu introuvable,d'après Dahl, il a quitté la ville pour affaires; d'après d'autres sources, il a été vu pour la dernière fois montant à bord d'un avion militaire en partance pour l'Alaska. Puis le fils de Dahldisparaît à son tour... 

-Il semble que quelqu'un ait truffé de micros la chambre d'hôtel d'Arnold, transmettant aux journaux locaux les détails de ses conversations, même celles qu'il eut seul avec Brown et Davidson. 

- Arnold contacte un autre officier de renseignements de la base USAF de McCord, le major Sanders. Ce dernier l'emmène chez un fondeur de Tacoma (probablement Asarco & Ruton) et lui montre des scories comme les morceaux de Dahl et Crisman.Arnold ne les considère pas identiques. Lorsqu'Arnold souhaite en prendre un échantillon, Sanders le dissuade. Sandersdemande tous les morceaux à Arnold et Smith . Après qu'il les ait mis à l'arrière de sa voiture, ils ne les renverrons plus jamais... 

-...L'explication officielle est un canular monté par les gardes-côtes pour se faire de la publicité.Cependant, ils ne sont pas poursuivis...

Tom Sanger interview and new analysis of Independence Day UFO near Tucson

Vancouver, BC – An exclusive new video published to YouTube on September 17, 2015, catches up with night vision videographer Tom Sanger to discuss his evidence of a UFO over the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson recorded on Independence Day. Fireworks weren’t the only bright objects in Arizona skies that July 4, 2015, evening as the seasoned experiencer and his sky watch colleague teamed up to capture one of this summer’s most talked-about close encounters. While MUFON has declared the matter “case closed” a few questions remained concerning optics that even the so-called professionals of UFOlogy may be loath to consider.

Citing communications masts visible on Mt. Bigelow, Open Minds stated on July 22, 2015, that “out of focus lights can be seen on the far right of the screen” at the beginning of the video. This defocused status contrasts with a pin-sharp in-focus recording of the UFO, indicating how the mystery object and communications masts resided on two entirely different focal planes that evening.

During his NewsInsideOut.com interview, Tom Sanger emphasized that while recording fireworks that evening he had manually set focus at that time for nearby, not distant objects, recanting earlier remarks to Open Minds in which he described an object at 30 miles distance.

Huffington Post’s follow-up from earlier this month offered the report of Phoenix MUFON’s director of investigations whose on-site post-event survey determined that human activity (described by HuffPo as headlights from automobiles) near the summit of Mt. Bigelow was the cause behind the sighting. A gated roadway leading to a platform does exist at relative line-of-sight to the camera’s perspective, but according to the witness, this is no superhighway trafficked by a lineup of hundreds of vehicles passing through the trees over the 8 plus minutes accounted for in the video.

The strong possibility exists, supported by optical evidence, that the UFO was in fact located over Sanbino Canyon between the mountain and the observer. During his NewsInsideOut.com interview Tom Sanger described how the masts and peak of Mt. Bigelow both resolve along the same focal plane when imaged during daylight with the Luna Optics camera.

That the UFO resided upon a separate focal plane at variance with the distance to out-of-focus communications masts shown in the early frames of the video is abundantly clear to all parties concerned. In this reporter’s considered opinion, the evidence shows that the UFO was not on the mountain. It was recorded hovering in the foreground.

Digital magnification of the Tom Sanger UFO reveals possible structural details including three individual light sources separated by discrete gaps along the observer-facing portion of the object’s airframe.

The relationship between exceptionally bright bursts of light shown in the video and the operations of hand-held illuminators is further explored during the NewsInsideOut.com interview. The impact of a one Watt laser recorded at 13 miles distance on a 0 Lux broadcast camera’s sensor array is compared to overexposure suffered by the 0.03 Lux Luna Optics LN-DM50-HRSD when capturing fireworks. Lights from the UFO neither display streaming trails from sweeping hand-held light beams nor do they at any time overexpose on the sensor.

Archival footage from Mt. Adams in Washington provides a baseline for evaluating such claims, suggesting how the 300-times-more-sensitive Luna Optics camera would have struggled to display anything other than a whited-out image frame under similar conditions near Mt. Bigelow. The Tom Sanger video shows no evidence of the visual jitter associated with hand-held lights and their operations. It is as if the UFO lights were performing with machine-like precision at a separate focal plane from the summit.

Was it hundreds of dancers wearing headlamps rotating in a circle on the Mt. Bigelow platform? The focal plane evidence again denies such suggestions. What really happened is that members of the public equipped with affordable night vision optics exceeded the data collection performance of so-called UFOlogy experts who proceeded to attempt to bury the story under a mountain of spurious claims and paperwork.

Their loud and widespread protestations betray serious absence of real-time instrumental field operational experience and post-event critical analytic skills. The Tom Sanger video and its public consequences offer a revelation concerning how persons seeking answers to UFO contact mysteries are today empowered in pioneering independent avenues of research at these awe-inspiring frontiers of twenty-first century knowledge.

Les deux OVNIs filmés le 5 septembre à Los Angeles

Des dizaines de témoins, des vidéos, des photos... L'observation de deux OVNIs début septembre à Los Angeles a tout pour plaire aux spécialistes. De fait, il ne s'agit pas d'un canular mais, si la vérité est ailleurs, elle ne vient pas forcément de très loin.

Que faut-il pour réussir une bonne observation d’OVNIs ? La recette est assez simple: plusieurs témoins fiables, de préférence non anonymes, des informations précises sur la date, l’heure et le lieu de l’apparition de l’objet volant, et, cerise sur la gâteau, des photographies et des vidéos. Si ces images proviennent en plus de sources différentes, alors le Nirvana ufologique n’est pas loin. Il semble bien que toutes ces conditions étaient réunies dans la soirée du 5 septembre à Los Angeles.

Comme chaque soir, l’observatoire de Griffith, situé sur les hauteurs de Los Angeles, accueillait de nombreux promeneurs venus profiter de la vue imprenable sur la Cité des Anges. Parmi eux, Chris Montague, auteur de la première vidéo mise en ligne de deux lumières qu’il décrit ainsi sur sa page YouTube:  «Depuis l’observatoire de Griffith, nous avons vu ce qui ressemblait à un météore ou à un avion en flammes qui se rapprochait du sol. Mais soudain la boule de feu s’est arrêtée dans et a commencé à se déplacer lentement. Puis, la lumière s’est éteinte. Huit secondes plus tard, elle est réapparue à quelques dizaines de mètres au dessus de son emplacement initial. Quelques instants plus tard, une seconde lumière est apparue et les deux boules lumineuses se sont assemblées au milieu du ciel avant de disparaître.»

La scène a aussi été filmée depuis d’autres parties de la ville: au moins deux autres vidéos ont été partagées sur YouTube par des personnes différentes.

D’autres témoins confirment dans les commentaires des images avoir eux-aussi assisté à la scène: «Ma mère et moi étions sur le chemin de retour quand nous avons vu ces lumières. On a eu la peur de notre vie. Après, j’ai passé deux jours sur Internet a essayer de comprendre ce que nous avions vu. C’est TELLEMENT fou! » écrit Eric Del’Accort.  En commentaire d’un article du Huffington Post qui rend compte de l’observation, une lectrice Erika Heidewald, ajoute: «J’ai vu moi aussi ces lumières ! C’était très bizarre et j’ai pris quelques photos. J’ai cru que c’était une grosse lanterne chinoise.»

Avec tant de témoins différents et d’enregistrements vidéos, la piste du canular semble exclue. De même le comportement de ces lumières, extrêmement brillantes malgré la faible qualité des vidéos, ne correspond pas à celui de lanternes chinoises, qui portées par le vent, ne changent pas de trajectoire et ne s’immobilisent pas avant de fusionner. Pour les mêmes raisons, l’hypothèse de flares, des leurres thermiques lâchés par des avions militaires, ne tient pas. D’autant que l’US Air Force évite en général de procéder à ce genre de largage potentiellement risqué dans des zones urbaines surpeuplées.

Mais les nombreux éléments dont on dispose permettent d’ouvrir le champ des explications. Parmi ces données capitales, figurent la date et l’heure exacte de l’observation : le 5 septembre aux environs de 19h45. Or, à cette heure précise débutait le premier match de la saison de football américain au Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Pour l’occasion, des parachutistes de la NAVY S.E.A.L ont été largués au-dessus du terrain. Plusieurs spectateurs ont filmé le spectacle et les images se retrouvent aisément sur YouTube.

 On remarque que les parachutistes  sont équipés d’un grand drapeau américain et, surtout, d’un dispositif qui émet de spectaculaires gerbes d’étincelles…  «coïncidence» supplémentaire leur ballet aérien rappelle étrangement celui des deux sphères lumineuses…  

Le doute n’est plus permis : les deux OVNIS sont en réalité les parachutistes de la NAVY S.E.A.L. en démonstration. Conclusion un chouïa décevante mais néanmoins riche d’enseignement. Ce cas presque parfait souligne la nécessité d’avoir à disposition le plus d’éléments possibles. Il démontre par ailleurs que, si Internet, peut facilement induire en erreur en montant en épingle des vidéos truquées, il offre aussi toutes les ressources pour expliquer une observation. Car tout ce qui brille dans ciel n'est pas forcément un OVNI...

De Macushi-indianen leven in het zuiden van Guyana, het noorden van Brazilië en het oostelijke deel van Venezuela. Ze zien zichzelf als afstammelingen van de kinderen van de zon, die vuur en ziekte met zich meebrachten, en beschermer van het binnenste van de aarde. Ze geloofden ook dat ze Washacá, de Boom des levens, hadden ontdekt.

Trappen

Het verhaal gaat dat de Macushi in 1907 een grot zijn binnengegaan, waarna ze na 13 tot 15 dagen het binnenste van de aarde bereikten. Er zouden reusachtige wezens van drie tot vier meter lang leven.

Volgens de legende kregen de Macushi de taak om de ingang te bewaken zodat buitenstaanders de holle aarde niet konden bereiken. De inheemse stam zou trappen zijn tegengekomen waarvan iedere trede 80 centimeter hoog was. In de grotten was volgens de overleveringen al verlichting aanwezig. Reusachtige lantaarns zo groot als watermeloenen, die net zo fel schenen als de zon.

Na vier of vijf dagen in de grot zouden de Macushi zijn uitgekomen in reusachtige grotten met vier objecten ‘zoals de zon’. De indianen hadden geen idee waar ze voor dienden. De legende beschrijft bomen waar mango’s, bananen en andere fruitsoorten aan hangen.

Mysterieuze lucht

Volgens de mondelinge overlevering moesten de indianen halverwege de reis oppassen voor een mysterieuze lucht die mensen kon laten vliegen of zweven. Uiteindelijk zouden ze een plek hebben bereikt waar reuzen leefden. De Macushi zouden er appels zo groot als mensenhoofden en vuistgrote druiven hebben gegeten.

De legende zegt dat de reuzen de ontdekkingsreizigers weer naar de buitenwereld hebben geleid. Er wordt gezegd dat de Macushi de bewakers van de onderwereld zijn. Zo zouden ze hebben geprobeerd Britse ontdekkingsreizigers tegen te houden die in de Amazone op zoek waren naar goud en diamanten. Voor de Macushi is deze legende gebaseerd op waargebeurde verhalen.

Is dit slechts een verhaal met een hoog Lord of the Rings-gehalte of is er ergens in de Amazone een echte ingang naar een plek diep in de aarde?

Here we have what I believe to be a UFO above a cloud. Its color is iridescent. Many UFOs are iridescent as seen in reports around the world. This UFO is observing the humans below. We intrigue them. Thats a good thing. It shows they care in some way.

A UFO researcher in Mexico caught his first UFO and its detail is one of the best I've seen this year. We can see that its a half disk with a larger lower area. At the bottom there is a clear, white distortion, which looks like its caused by the propulsion of the craft, mixed with the UFO exiting the water and the water dripping off of it. The UFO was caught over the ocean, because it came from the water. Its a well known fact that aliens have bases not below the ocean, but several km below the floor of the ocean. And notice the dark bronze color...extraordinary.

I'm sorry I changed the color of the photos so much, but its the best way to see as much of the UFO as possible. In one of the photos, I can see a pilot of the craft standing up (below). The cockpit window is so transparent, we can't see it in the photos below. The UFOs propulsion is causing a distortion field around it. That is why its shape seems to be changing, but its really not. This is the most uniquely shaped UFO I have ever seen. This is freaking amazing! Such an usual and interesting design.

With the spread of crop circle and UFO phenomena through modern mass media, many find it easy to dismiss crop circles as hoaxes. Everyone knows what they are, and so what if someone goes out in a field with a mower to get some attention or play a prank? 

When Queen Elizabeth put a crop circle book on her summer reading list in 1989, there was a particular surge of interest, and also talk of hoaxing. 

But crop circles aren’t a modern fad.

Reports throughout history, before the term “crop circle” buzzed through the world, seem to refer to phenomena much like those observed today. It doesn’t mean that there aren’t ordinary explanations for those historical crop circles as well as today’s. It simply means people have been surprised and perplexed by crop circles for centuries. Some of the explanations given in historical accounts suggest natural causes, though some allude to supernatural causes. 

‘The Mowing Devil’

In 1678, a news pamphlet titled “The Mowing Devil: Or, Strange News Out of Hertfordshire,” described a crop circle in Hertfordshire, England. The report was republished by Hertfordshire folklorist W.B. Gerish in 1913, and it reads:

“Being a true relation of a farmer, who bargaining with a poor mower about the cutting down three half acres of oats: Upon the mower’s asking too much, the farmer swore that the devil should mow it rather than he. And so it fell out, that very night, the crop of oat shew’d as if it had been all of a flame; but the next morning appear’d so neatly mow’d by the devil or some infernal spirit, that no mortal man was able to do the like.”

The farmer seems to have seen a bright light, like fire, in his field the night the crop was mysteriously mowed.

Crop Circles Caused by Storms?

In the July 29, 1880 edition of the journal Nature, John Rand Capron published an article titled “Storm Effects,” that described crop circles in detail.

Part of his description reads: “These all presented much the same character, viz., a few standing stalks as a centre, some prostrate stalks with their heads arranged pretty evenly in a direction forming a circle round the centre, and outside these a circular wall of stalks which had not suffered.”

He wondered if these were caused by “cyclonic wind action.” He noted, “The storms about this part of Surrey have been lately local and violent.”

Improved Fertility in Crop Circles

In 1686, Oxford University professor of chemistry Robert Plot wrote of geometric shapes in fields in “A Natural History of Stafforshire.”

He wrote, “the earth underneath having been highly improved with a fat sulpherous matter . . . ever since it was first stricken, though not exerting its fertilizing quality till some time after.”

Improved fertility is also said to be a characteristic of some crop circles today.

Plot hypothesized that the formations were created by lightning or other forces during thunderstorms. Gary Bobroff, in his book “Crop Circles, Jung, and the Reemergence of the Archetypal Feminine,” noted: “Today, formations continue to be found the night after tremendous thunderstorms—the 2001 Milk Hill formation, consisting of 409 individual circles and spanning 1,000 feet across—being perhaps the finest example of this correlation.” 

Some have suggested that Plot was describing what we know today as crop marks, not crop circles. Crop marks appear due to different conditions of the soil, often caused by buried structures. For example, a buried wall or ditch will affect how much water will collect in the soil above, thus affecting the ability of plant life to flourish. This sometimes causes discernable patterns in crops.

John Leyland, a chronicler of King Henry VIII’s court wrote of traditional English maypole dance: “We go out in the early hours and we learn the patterns that appear on the grass overnight.”

Fairies at Work or Play

Walter Evans-Wentz gathered Celtic folklore in his 1911 book “The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries.” Bobroff noted that many of the collected descriptions of rings in the grass clearly relate tomushrooms that grow in ring formations and have long been known as “fairy rings.” But some seem to relate to crop circles, as they clearly describe a flattening of crops.

For example, Evans-Wentz wrote: “Sometimes the fairies helped human beings with their work, coming in at night to finish spinning or … thresh a farmer’s corn or fan his grain.”

Icelandic Government Says Their Sea Monster Is Real (VIDEO)

Scotland’s Loch Ness is home to the world-famous creature known as Nessie but sightings are reported all over the globe. In recent years, a serpent-like cryptid from Iceland has stolen the spotlight.

 

Called Lagarfljótsormur or the Iceland Worm Monster, it gained popularity due to a 2012 video that showed it swimming in an ice-covered lake called Lagarfljót from which the creature got its name.

 

 

The first recorded sighting took place in the 14th century but folklore points to even earlier origins. The worm monster sightings were considered omens that foretold the coming of disaster. According to legend, a girl was given a gold ring and wanted to keep it safe so she placed it in her linen chest and set a small lizard ( or snake) to guard it.

 

In the following days, the lizard grew and the frightened girl threw both the lizard and the ring into the nearby lake. It continued to grow and terrorize people until it was tied to the bottom of the lake but not killed.

 

The Lagarfljótsormur is described as being over 300 feet in length and having multiple humps. Although aquatic, it was sighted an the lake shore as well, lying coiled in the sun or even slithering up in trees.

 

The creature has been sighted several times in recent years, with the most interesting incident occurring in 1983. Contractors were laying a telephone cable when they noticed a large mass moving near the shore as they were performing depth measurements

 

 

When they retrieved the cable, it was badly torn and damaged in 22 places. The workers believed they dragged the cable over the beast or even through its jaws.

 

Though the 2012 video was met with skepticism by some, an Icelandic truth commission determined the video was authentic and recommended further investigation.

 

Even if the Iceland worm monster proves to be nothing more than an old tale, there are plenty other mysterious creatures lurking in Earth’s lakes and oceans.

Amazon Indians say there is a whole world inside our planet

The Macuxi Indians knew of the existence of the Hollow Earth almost one hundred years ago. But legends are true or is another incredible story of folklore?

What if the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne's classic, really true? And there somewhere, a whole new world is waiting to be explored, a place where somehow, living beings inhabit the depths of our planet, a place that cultures and ancient civilizations knew existed, or that still it exists today. 

The Macuxi Indians are Indians living in the Amazon, in countries like Brazil, Guyana and Venezuela. According to their legends, they are the descendants of the children of the Sun, the creator of fire and disease and protective of the "inner Earth."

Oral legends tell of an entry on Earth. Until 1907, the Macuxies entered a sort of cavern, and traveled 13 to 15 days until they reached the interior. It is there, "on the other side of the world, in the inner Earth" where giant creatures that are about 3-4 meters high living.

According to Macuxies were given the task of monitoring to outside the entrance and prevent outsiders from entering the "hollow Earth."

Legends say Macuxi people entering the mysterious cave for three days, only giants descend stairs, measuring about 80 centimeters each step. After the third day, they leave behind their torches, and continue their journey "inside" Earth illuminated by the lights that were already present in the caves. Giant lanterns, the size of a watermelon, shining like the sun. After 4-5 days of travel, those inside the cave lose weight and body mass, allowing them to move much faster.

The legends of the Macuxi say after 5 days inside the caverns, they would go by huge caverns whose roofs could not be seen, and one of the chambers of the cave system, there are four objects "like the sun", which are impossible to watch, whose purpose is unknown to the Macuxi village. 

Within the Earth, there are places where trees are able to grow food. The Macuxi say cajúes fruits like, oak, mangos, bananas and some smaller plants are in 6-7 days into their journey. The farther the Macuxi people moved into the Earth, larger areas of vegetation observed. But not all areas are green and prosperous color. The Macuxi people say that some places are extremely dangerous and should be avoided, as those with boiling stone and streams "azoge." 

Macuxi Oral traditions continue and say that after going through these giant cameras, having spent half the trip have to move carefully as the mysterious "air" can cause people to "fly or float" around. Continuing their journey, they reach a place within the Earth, where the Giants lived. There, the Macuxi explorers ate food giants such as apples the size of human heads, grapes the size of a human fist, and delicious and giant fish were captured by the giants and the Macuxi given as gifts.

After stocking with offered by giant food, Macuxi explorers return "home" to the world "outside", helped by the giants of the inner world. It is said that the Macuxi are the "guardians" of the underworld, guards the entrance Inner Earth and its legends tell of a land in the interior of the earth, which is full of incredible power and wealth.

Earth may have gigantic underground ‘ocean’ three times that on surface

Researchers have made an astounding discovery. Found under a layer of rocks to more than 640 kilometers under the surface of the Earth, a reservoir that contains 3 times more water than all the oceans. ESM explain everything on this amazing discovery that could allow scientists to learn more about the origin of water on Earth.

A gigantic ocean at 640 km below the surface of the Earth Scientists working at the Northwestern  University, United States, provided evidence that there was a huge amount of water underground. The reservoir is trapped in a cavity composed of a high pressure called rock  Ringwoodite.  With this discovery, the researchers hope to explain how the oceans have formed on our planet.

The team, led by mineralogist Steven  Jacobsen, used a set of seismographs in 2000 to study how seismic waves generated by earthquakes were moving through the interior of the Earth. The speed of these waves changed depending rocks through which they pass, and the wet Ringwoodite has a particular effect on these waves. Steven  has reproduced the same experiment in his lab and came to this edifying conclusion: Ringwoodite, when it is maintained under extreme heat and pressure, as in the Earth’s mantle, “sweat of the water.” It would then be trapped in a transition region between 320 and 640 kilometers deep.

And if the water on Earth came from a huge underground reservoir?

In any case think that the research team after discovering that ocean. Scientists hope also that this will allow them to better understand the water cycle on Earth but also how tectonic plates move water between the surface and the reservoir. By measuring the speed of these waves, depending on the depth, the researchers were able to determine what type of rocks they crossed.

The water tank was thus revealed itself as idle when the waves have passed through the wet rock. Beforehand, Steven Jacobsen had determined what would happen if ringwoodites containing water is put in through seismic waves. For this, he developed synthetic ringwoodites in his laboratory before being exposed to pressures and high temperatures, similar to the coat, 700 km depth. “This tells us that if similar wet ringwoodites in the transition zone, we expect them to produce a liquid. Ex-Air Force Officer Says Two UFOs Crashed At Roswell

The Roswell Incident is undoubtedly the most influential UFO event. The official version goes something like this: in the summer of 1947 something crashed on a ranch 30 miles north of Roswell, New Mexico. The first press release was issued by public information officer Walter Haut on July 8, 1947. He stated that a “flying disk” had been recovered by military personnel.

 

All subsequent public statements denied this information, saying that the object was in fact a weather balloon. The US Military later revealed that the balloon was part of a top-secret operation destined to detect Soviet nuclear testing.

 

 

There are several inconsistencies in this story and numerous conspiracy theories revolve around the Roswell crash. Most of them dismiss the possibility of a balloon wreckage because of its relatively small size. The initial wreckage was scattered across a large area. Over the years, multiple eyewitness reports have surfaced, confirming this. Some of them mention exotic materials among the wreckage, as well as hieroglyphic markings on said materials. Quite a few of them mention the presence of bodies and detail the sense of urgency with which the military operations happened.

 

The vast majority of theories related to this incident explore the possibility of one crash occurring at Roswell but recently, an ex-Air Force official and UFO debunker claimed there wasn’t just one, but two of them happened in a few days’ interval.

 

Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Richard French served more than 27 years in the military and participated in the famous Project Blue Book as an investigator and debunker. His duties involved collecting testimonies from people who had witnessed UFOs or alien phenomena and then shoot down their claims with rational explanations that were sometimes borderline offensive to the witnesses’ intelligence.

 

French was familiar with the procedure and well aware of the risk of something like the UFO phenomenon being confirmed by the military. According to him, they had to dismiss any and all alien theories in order to prevent a global event with catastrophic consequences. The fact that unknown creatures existed elsewhere in the universe and they had the ability to freely move around Earth would have destroyed the structure of religion. The military’s inability to manage this situation would have made them look helpless and the crisis would have further escalated.

 

 

According to French, the first flying object that crashed at Roswell was an alien spacecraft brought down by an experimental US airplane. It was shot and rendered uncontrollable by an electromagnetic pulse weapon. A few days later, a second UFO presumably came looking for survivors and was shot down using the same weapon. He claims to have browsed through folders of pictures and reports regarding the incidents.

 

French says he decided to come forward because the UFO cover-up operations have clearly gotten out of hand. He has faced strong opposition and the US Military discredits him and denies his allegations.

 

Why would an elderly ex-official forego almost three decades of service and come forward with such a statement? Some choose to discredit him and blame old age and a longing for celebrity. Others know better.

 

Regardless of the number of spacecraft crashed at Roswell, one thing is certain: something did happen there in 1947 and great efforts have been made to sweep it and keep it under the rug.

Super-intelligent aliens could be trying to contact Earth, but humans are too stupid to pick up the signals, says Seti’s top scientist

At this very moment, an advanced alien civilisation may be trying contact Earth.

But despite our best efforts, we could be oblivious to their messages because humanity is not clever enough to pick up the signals.

This is according to Dr Nathalie Cabrol, who is leading the hunt for alien life at the Seti Institute in California. 

Speaking to DailyMail.com, Dr Cabrol said we are getting closer to finding both microbial life in our solar system and intelligent life elsewhere.

We could be oblivious to their messages from aliens, because humanity is not clever enough to pick up the signals. She believes, in our lifetime, we'll find simple alien organisms close to Earth and a replica of our planet in another galaxy.

Finding intelligent life, however, may not be as easy - largely because of our own limited view of the universe.

'See how much progress we have made in the past 100 years,' said Dr Cabrol.

'If there is a civilisation out there that is only 1,000 years older than we are, who knows what type of technology, or what type of process, they’ve put into communicating with others.

'We’re just scratching the surface here. We’re looking at the universe from our own standpoint

'We tend to ask questions in the way we do. But what kind of thought process an alien civilisation may have, we really don’t know.'

Currently, the search for ET is based on picking up optical and radio signals. 

For instance, earlier this year, scientists picked up a series of mysterious pulsing signals coming from outside our solar system.

Dr Nathalie Cabrol was recently appointed as the lead for the SETI Institute multidisciplinary research programs into the search for life beyond Earth. She currently heads the Institute’s Carl Sagan Center for the Study of Life in the Universe

Known as Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), just 10 of these signals have been discovered to date.

A study earlier this year found that all 10 bursts' dispersion measures are multiples of a single number: 187.5. 

The results imply five sources for the bursts are all at regularly spaced distances from Earth, billions of light-years away.

'This will either be new physics, like a new kind of pulsar, or, in the end, if we can exclude everything else, an ET,' said researcher Michael Hippke of the Institute for Data Analysis in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany.

But Dr Cabrol says searching for radio signals such as this may prove futile.  

'We are hoping that ET has done the same thing as us, but there are other ways,' she said. 

'Some people have talked about ET technology, sending vessels or robots in space.

'We have to rely a bit on our imagination right now to figure out what ET will be doing, and not being afraid to develop new research avenues as well.'

One of the ways we may be able to spot alien civilisations is through the destruction of their own planet, she says. 

'Seti is, at this moment in time, about radio astronomy, and optical. But it’s also about what a civilisation does to its environment as it grows older.

'We are somewhat advanced, but we are a teenage civilisation. We are playing with toys and technologies but we don’t know the rules very well yet.

'We are not in equilibrium in our environment, and this is the problem with climate change.

'Here you have, a direct link between ET and climate change. There is a window in time when you can expect a civilisation to get to this disequilibrium as we are in now.

'During this time, you will find signatures in the atmosphere of a planet that shouldn’t be there. So we can look for that as well. And this is just an example.

Her views echo that of former astronaut, John Grunsfeld, who earlier this year said if aliens are out there, they already know we exist.

In April, Nasa's chief scientist Ellen Stofan said we could find evidence of extraterrestrial life in 20 to 30 years. 

'We know where to look, we know how to look, and in most cases we have the technology.'

Jeffery Newmark, interim director of heliophysics at the agency, added: 'It's definitely not an if, it's a when.'

'We are not talking about little green men,' Stofan said. 'We are talking about little microbes.'

The announcement was prompted by the recent discovery of water by Nasa in surprising places.

Jim Green, director of planetary science at Nasa, noted that a recent study of the Martian atmosphere found 50 per cent of the planet's northern hemisphere once had oceans a mile deep.  

The same study found that water had been present on the red planet for up to 1.2 billion years.

'We think that long period of time is necessary for life to get more complex,' Stofan said.

Grunsfeld said at the time he was excited about seeing what form life beyond Earth may take.

'Once we get beyond Mars, which formed from the same stuff as Earth, the likelihood that life is similar to what we find on this planet is very low,' he said.

'I think we're one generation away in our solar system, whether it's on an icy moon or on Mars, and one generation [away] on a planet around a nearby star.

Jupiter's moon Europa and Saturn's satellite Enceladus are also thought to have an ocean of liquid water beneath their surface in contact with mineral-rich rock.

This, according to Nasa, means they may have the three ingredients needed for life as we know it.

'The science community is making enormous progress,' said Green.

'And I've told my team I'm planning to be the director of planetary science when we discover life in the solar system.

At the same conference last year, Nasa Administrator Charles Bolden made a more conservative estimate.

He claimed that we will find life within the next 20 years - with a high chance it will be outside our solar system.

Nasa next Mars rover, scheduled to launch in 2020, will search for signs of past life and bring samples for a possible return to Earth for analysis.

Nasa also hopes to land astronauts on Mars in the 2030s, which Stofan says is crucial key to the search for Mars life.

The space agency is also planning a mission to Europa, which may launch as early as 2022. It hopes to find out whether the icy moon is habitable.

Meanwhile, the agency's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), will launch in 2018 to scope out the atmospheres of nearby 'super-Earth' alien planets.

The Weirdest Conspiracy Theory You’ve Ever Heard

It’s no secret that many countries perform secret experiments if the required resources are available. The general populace usually finds out about these experiments long after they’ve finished either through declassified documents or with the aid of whistleblowers. One such case is the Montauk Project..

 

Government officials deny the project ever took place and say the whole account is made up however the original author Preston Nichols paints quite a different story. He has written several books related to this top-secret project after recovering repressed memories of his own involvement. The project took place at Montauk Air Force Station in Long Island and spanned over the course of several decades. Its main objectives were developing new psychological warfare techniques as well as delving into exotic research, such as time travel and teleportation.

 

 

Somewhere in the 1950’s, scientists that had participated in the Philadelphia Experiment decided to continue their research into the manipulation of strong electromagnetic fields in order to achieve and perfect invisibility technology. They prepared a report and presented it to Congress but it was considered too dangerous and rejected. They made a direct proposal to the Department of Defense and promised they would develop an impressive new weapon that induced schizophrenia with the push of a button.

 

The DoD saw the potential and approved the project, imposing total secrecy. It was funded from a $10 billion cache of Nazi gold captured at the end of WWII in France. When it became fully operational, the base had at least twelve underground levels and housed several hundred scientists and military personnel. The facility even extended under the nearby town of Montauk and was connected to other Deep Underground Military Bases ( DUMB) via a vast tunnel network and fast magnetic levitation trains.

 

The first order of business was to abduct orphans and homeless people and subject them to powerful electromagnetic radiation. They wanted to test mind control and brain reprogramming but knew that very few test subjects would survive. Many young boys underwent grueling physical and psychological torture. Those who survived were reprogrammed and trained as sleeper cells that could be easily activated and sent into any mission, following orders blindly without a will of their own.

 

The Montauk Project also enhanced people’s psychic abilities to the point where they were able to materialize objects from nothing. With the help of aliens, they developed a device ( specifically, a chair) which boosted the mental capacity of individuals that used it.

 

The scientists managed to create a time portal which they used to travel in time and space. It was manipulated and stabilized into a time tunnel which was then used to explore underground martian tunnels. There they discovered cultural archives that had been built by a long-gone martian race. They added the information found to their ever-expanding knowledge.

 

 

They used the time tunnel to contact aliens and exchange advanced technology with them, broadening their horizons and their access to hyperspace. On August 12, 1983 they somehow managed to entangle the original Philadelphia Experiment from 1943 and as a result the USS Eldridge was trapped in hyperspace. Two crew members, Al Bielek and Duncan Cameron jumped from the ship’s deck while it was stuck in its inter-dimensional travel and wound up 40 years ahead of their time and very disoriented.

 

The chief director of operations at the Montauk base was Nikola Tesla who had faked his death and lived well into his 120’s. Under his management, complex subliminal message projects and mass psychological experiments were performed. The experiments needed public enforcing and so the ominous Men in Black division was formed, with the objective of instilling fear and confusion among the masses.

 

Usually, conspiracy theories gain traction because they manage to explain what mainstream science can’t or won’t. While something that required secrecy actually happened at Montauk Air Force Station, the events recalled by Nichols in his book pushed the envelope so far it probably ended up in another dimension.

Giant Radio Telescope Could Detect E.T.'s Call

A huge telescope array will allow scientists to conduct the most sensitive and exhaustive search for signs of alien civilizations to date when it comes online, the project's backers say.

The Square Kilometer Array (SKA), currently planned to begin construction in 2018, could enable the search for intelligent alien life to piggy-back on other scientific observations, scouring the galaxy with unprecedented precision.
