Man On Mars? NASA Says It's Happening -- And Soon
"We are farther down the path to sending humans to Mars than at any point in NASA's history."
We're going to Mars -- and we're going in the not-too-distant future.
NASA says preparations for a manned mission to the Red Planet are proceeding as planned, with humans expected to set foot on Mars in the 2030s.
That work includes completing the development of the rockets and spacecraft that will get humans there and back again, including the Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft, which are still being tested.
The next Mars rover, planned for a 2020 launch, will carry the Mars Oxygen ISRU experiment. MOXIE, as its known, will take carbon dioxide out of the thin Martian atmosphere and produce oxygen, the space agency said.
If it can do so successfully, humans will have oxygen to breathe and rockets will be able to use that oxygen to help power the return trip home.
“We’re going to make oxygen on another planet -- the first time ever to make oxygen on another planet,” said NASA deputy administrator Dava Newman, according to The Space Reporter. "These experiments -- they’re real, they’re here."
Andy Weir, author of "The Martian" which has been made into a film starring Matt Damon, was at the NASA event. He recently said the main barrier is funding -- and that given enough money, a manned Mars mission could happen in the 2030s as planned.
"The Martian" goes into wide release on Oct. 2, but the film was given an early screening over the weekend in a very unique location: the International Space Station.

Betty Hill drew a star map of the constellation that the aliens pointed to
On September 19 1961, Betty and Barney Hill of Portsmouth, New Hampshire claim to have been abducted by aliens.
Scientists at the time discredited a map drawn by Betty which outlined the exact location of where she claimed the extra-terrestrials originated.
Experts claimed there was no constellation similar to the drawing and that it bore no resemblance to any known formation at the time.
Now years later, one statistician has remarkably argued that the unusual alignment of key sun-like stars in the drawing, which mirrors the Zeta Reticuli could never have happened by chance and that Betty WAS a victim of an alien abduction.
Just south of Lancashire,New Hampshire, Betty and Barney claim to have seen a strange, oval craft hovering above them.

Then, they spotted a group of 'humanoid beings' watching them from behind a curved lighted window in the craft. Their last conscious memory was of the same creatures standing in the middle of the road, blocking their path.
The next thing they knew they were pulling up at their house in Portsmouth. Over three hours of their journey was unaccounted for with neither of them able to remember the details of that night’s events.
Betty, speaking before her death in 2004, said in an never before seen interview: "I was taken on board. Barney was taken into one room and I was taken into another. The one who did the testing we called The Examiner.
"First they put me on a stool and they checked my eyes, ears, nose, throat. They put me on a table, and said they wanted to check my nervous system.
"Then they tried to insert a needle-like instrument in my navel which caused pain so they stopped doing it. Barney’s exam was very much like mine in the beginning except they were interested in his bone structure.”

Betty also remembered a conversation with ‘The Leader’ in which she asked where the extra terrestrials had come from. “I said ‘I know you’re not from this planet but where are you from?’ He showed me a star map indicating where he came from’.
Under hypnosis, Betty drew the map which consisted of twelve prominent stars connected by lines and three lesser ones that formed a distinctive triangle. She said she was told the stars connected by solid lines formed "trade routes", whereas dashed lines were to less-traveled stars.
David Saunders, a statistician who had been on the Condon UFO study, argued that the unusual alignment of key sun-like stars in a plane centered around Zeta Reticuli was statistically improbable to have happened by chance from a random sketch and that Betty was in fact telling the truth.
He claimed that only aliens could have given her the information.

Other puzzling evidence surrounding the claimed abduction at the time include Betty’s dress being torn, and covered in a strange pink powder which was later confirmed as 'not being of any organic origin'. There were shiny concentric circles covering the boot of their car and when a compass was placed next to them it would spin uncontrollably.
Later, after the 'encounter', the couple began to experience terrible nightmares and suffer symptoms of severe stress.
Barney became so ill, they sought medical advice. The couple were examined and put under hypnosis by psychiatrist, Dr Benjamin Simon who made an astonishing discovery.
When Betty and Barney were regressed to the missing time and alleged moment of abduction, they were able to clearly recall all the details, serving as further proof of the couple's story.

Another incredible picture to emerge from these sessions occurred when Barney sketched his abductors – creating the first known image of an alien.
Later, a 3 dimensional model was created by a local artist.
Barney died of a cerebral hemorrhage on February 25, 1969, at age 46. Betty believed this was partially due to the terrifying experience of his alien abduction.
Betty Hill died October 17, 2004, having spent the intervening years proving beyond a doubt that she was visited by aliens from a distant planet.

Witness report: On September 21, 2015 I walked outside after a storm, the sky was a dark bluish color, but I noticed a beautiful brilliant white cloud. It looked out of place in its whiteness, so I ran inside to get my cellphone to get a picture.
I love taking pictures of storm clouds, but when I saw the pictures I had taken, I was very surprised at the yellow orange shape that came out behind the white cloud, as that had not been visible at all during my picture taking.
I looked again and I still could not see it, but after snapping another picture, saw that it was still there. Mufon case 70720.

Countless questions have been pondered — Is it real? Are there really aliens there? Why so secretive?
No matter what the answers to those questions are — we may never know — one family knows first-hand how serious the folks at Area 51 really are about their privacy.
Stories have recently surfaced about the Sheahan family who owns a large tract of land near Area 51.
Joe Sheahan told lasvegas.com his family has owned the land since the 1880s, much longer than the Air Force has had a secret base in the desert.
The Sheahan family claims the government has shot at them, tried to arrest them, held them at gunpoint, and blew up a mill on their property in 1954, they told cnn.com.
Col. Thomas Dempsey, commander of the facility, told cnn.com the Air Force can no longer ensure the family's safety in the area and have offered them millions of dollars to leave the land.
However, the Sheahan's told cnn.com they are standing their ground, claiming they were there first and the government surrounded them.
One of my favorite movies is "Independence Day."
It's also one that best portrays what most of us think Area 51 really is — a room full of creepy aliens suspended in formaldehyde next to a garage that holds an intact UFO.
The government laughs at Hollywood versions of Area 51 such as that one, but they still won't tell us what's going on in there.
Former employees have claimed to have worked to recreate alien viruses and use crashed alien crafts to design new military plans.
People who live in the area have said they have seen strange lights in the sky and assumed that meant the aliens were coming to visit. Yes, another claim is that Area 51 is a meeting place for Americans and aliens.
The government continues to ensure the public that nothing weird is going on at Area 51, but they still haven't opened up for tours or will even tell us what does happen there.
And they have been trying to get the Sheahan family away from their fences for 60 years.
Why?
Maybe if they told the family the reasoning, they would give up their land and be on their way.
If it is dangerous or classified, just tell them.
Honesty is always the best policy right?
Yet Americans have been trying to get the truth for many years.
I guess the real question is, will we ever really know what happens behind the locked gates of Area 51?

Snowden denkt dat aliens een beter politiek systeem hebben dan de aardbewoners. Een systeem waarin een klokkenluider niet wordt vervolgd wegens onthullingen over spionageactiviteiten die zijn uitgevoerd door zijn eigen overheid.

I have to admit that some of these underwater mysteries have been on my mind for some time. Especially the Baltic Sea UFO found under water. Although a sample of it was taken and it was confirmed to be a stone material, it is probably a war ship, like the ones used to destroy Mars long ago, that is why its solid, but not stone, microtechnology build to be strong like stone, that is why the boats electronics all died when the ship was above it.

Scientists in Poland say they have made a surprising find at a well-excavated archaeological site in the southeast: the oldest stone wall ever discovered in the country. Dating to the Bronze Age, the wall, constructed of thick stone slabs, was found at the site of Zyndram’s Hill in Maszkowice beneath a settlement occupied throughout the first millennium BCE. The early stone wall is much older; based on radiocarbon dating of organic materials discovered with the architectural elements, the researchers estimate it dates to between 1750 BCE and 1690 BCE.
It’s a highly unusual find not only for Poland but for the wider region, the archaeologists said. "In the whole Central Europe there are only a dozen sites dated so early with more or less well-preserved stone fortifications,” Jagiellonian University researcher Marcin S. Przybyła said in apress statement. “At that time, the use of the stone as a building material was typical of the Mediterranean areas. In the temperate zone of Europe until the Middle Ages, fortifications were built with wood and clay."

The structure was built on a hilltop that had been flattened in antiquity to create an inhabitable plateau of about 1.2 acres. Clay from the hilltop was used to build a terrace on the eastern and northern slopes of the hill. The interior wall was constructed of large, 1.5-foot-long sandstone blocks held together with clay. It was fortified with a retaining wall forged from huge, 3-foot-long blocks. The wall was almost 460 feet long and nearly nine feet tall, and bordered by a trench about five feet deep. This formidable wall was both structural and defensive, surrounding the eastern and northern sections of the settlement.

The archaeologists suspect its builders were not natives to the region—or at least likely imported the know-how to build such a structure from elsewhere. Przybyła says the size and style of the construction is closer to Bronze Age civilizations in the Mediterranean than to any cultural traditions of Central and Western Europe.
That idea is bolstered by the previous discovery of a foreign artifact at the site—a so-called violin idol. “Such statuettes were produced in large amounts in Mycenaean Greece, and [the] Northern Balkans," Przybyła said.
The Rosetta mission has detected a mysterious signal coming from Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
When recording signals in the 40-50 millihertz frequency range, the RPC scientists stumbled on a surprise — the comet was singing, they report.
Through some kind of interaction in the comet's environment, 67P's weak magnetic field seems to be oscillating at low frequencies. In an effort to better understand this unique 'song', mission scientists have increased the frequency 10,000 times to make it audible to the human ear.
First detected in August as Rosetta approached the comet from 100 kilometres, this magnetic oscillation has continued.
Rosetta scientists speculate that the oscillations may be driven by the ionisation of neutral particles from the comet's jets.
As they are released into space, they collide with high-energy particles from interplanetary space and become ionised. Because it is electrically charged, the plasma then interacts with the cometary magnetic field, causing oscillations. But to draw any conclusions about this, further work is needed
One of the very possible reasons why the secrecy has been so profoundly maintained is that the power of the energy systems and technologies being worked on as well as the antigravitic technology – if it gets in the wrong hands could be a serious problem. I’d like to mention something you may have forgotten about. Back in 1991/92 there were articles which I read that the military kind of had a problem in that they had been developing a huge range of sophisticated weapons and were very frustrated that there wasn’t a war they could use them in….
He then mentions Saddam Hussein and Kuwait and he talks about the Gulf War and how it was shown on TV in graphic detail. Then at about 24:30 into the discussion, he says

Of course, if Steve Bassett had referenced or described Dr Judy Wood’s book at this point, he would have been able to illustrate that he was, indeed, correct! He would have been making an observation, not a suggestion. Would that not have increased his credibility – referring to a comprehensive, publicly available investigation by a scientist, part of which had been submitted in a court case? This investigation (contained in “Where Did The Towers Go?”) even includes reference to certain antigravitic effects discovered by John Hutchison and inspected by Col John Alexander in 1983.

This new, ‘complete’ tree of life shows how 2.3 million species are related
Scientists have released a new version of the tree of life, showing everything we know about how the living things of Earth are related to one another. With 2.3 million species and counting, it's the most complete model of its kind — but there's a lot more work to do.
Everything that lives or ever lived on Earth is somehow related to everything else. But figuring out just how all those critters and plants and pond scums fit together has posed a bit of a challenge. There are a lot of Earthlings, after all, and with around 15,000 species discovered each year, our family tree keeps getting bigger and more complicated all the time.

That's why the researchers, who reported their new tree on Friday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, have open-sourced the model, making it free to download online. This is simply version 1.0, and they're going to need help with revisions.
The first draft combined around 500 existing trees to come close to true completion. But close is a relative term here.
One popular study estimated a staggering 8.7 millions of species on Earth today, let alone in the planet's entire history. There are a lot of gaps we've yet to fill in. And the relationships between different species aren't always easy to pin down, so some are controversial or just totally mysterious.
"As important as showing what we do know about relationships, this first tree of life is also important in revealing what we don't know," co-author Douglas Soltis of the University of Florida said in a statement.
The researchers hope that other scientists will help finish the job by uploading their own data.
You know how you think you know what is real, what is possible on the earth in life, in terms of experience? I mean, all of you reading this probably have a pretty good grasp on “REALITY” and what that means, what it encompasses.
I did too. Until last year.
Late afternoon in a 5th floor room of a basic hotel in Surat Thani, Thailand. Laying on my side on the double bed, MacBook Air computer going and I was looking for something on Craigslist Thailand. I was laying at an angle, body and head facing the large window. The sky was cloudy, there was a light rain. There had been no lightning strikes near but I heard some thunder way off in the distance a couple of times. There seemed to be a storm about 30km (20 miles) from the hotel and the clouds were moving toward the hotel I was in.
I had the air conditioner on at 25°C, the air was damn cold coming out of the thing. The unit was located right above the window. The vent pointed straight down to the floor and the fan was on high. Curtains open and windows shut. No lights on in the room.
I hadn’t been drinking anything, smoking anything, or shooting anything up. I’m completely anti-drugs. I drink on average just two beers a week. I don’t smoke. I don’t have a history of mental illness. I’ve never seen a ghost. I’ve never thought they were real. I always figured the mind could conjure up a ghost or something weird that a person was focused on. I have a master’s in psychology, so I’m aware just how powerful the mind is when there is something troubling it.
I wasn’t troubled about anything. I’m not paranoid the world is ending, someone is out to get me, or anything like that. I’m the most well-balanced person I know. My life is normal. I have normal thoughts. I do normal stuff. I’m odd, yes, but only in that my personality is so different from other people. What I think about is odd, but it is always based in reality, not superstition or anything else weird.
I’m the most normal, logical, and realistic person you’d probably ever meet.
I saw a floating white ball of light that oozed into the hotel room through the glass like a long bubble a kid can make with one of those giant loops and a plate full of bubble solution.
Let me explain more.
I heard a very weird sound like the air conditioner was going to die. Then it kept going. Then it was going to die. Then going again… so on-off on-off over and over like that. Wrrrrr—rrrrrhhhhh-wrrrrr—rrrrhhhh. Like that. I didn’t move, just looked up at it.
For 1-2 seconds I saw nothing but what I was supposed to see. No smoke, no sparks, no light, nothing.
I glanced down at my computer again, thinking the air conditioner was just stuttering a bit.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something white through the window. No, on second thought it was in the window. No, on third thought – it was in the fucking room and spreading out a meter long like a child’s bubble. It was pure white like snow. I mean the color, nothing else reminded me of snow. You know how when you look at snow – it’s pure white, and the whitest white you’ve ever looked at? It was like that. It didn’t SHINE white, it was just very white.
The borders of the light bubble were crisp. There was no smoke at the edges, there were no undefined edges… It was smooth as anything. Curved and flowing. It moved slower than a kid’s bubble might, you know because the kid is moving his hand fast to make a long bubble with the loop.
My first thought after seeing the white light coming into the room like that was… nothing. There were no thoughts. I didn’t think. I just couldn’t take my eyes off it. I didn’t want to move because I thought it might go away. I was completely enthralled by it. Not entranced… enthralled. I was captivated by the experience, and yet my mind still worked – it was hyperactively alert. I was absolutely lucid, and I’m sure my adrenaline started pumping immediately. I knew I had to study it closely and try to figure out what it was.
The bubble was about 1 meter long and the tail end popped through the glass. The bubble then shrunk, the tail moving into the front part which was very near the lower right corner of my bed and about 4-5 feet off the ground. It formed a sphere. An absolutely perfect sphere without fault. The white was also absolutely perfectly white. I could not see through it, nor into it at all. It was so white that it appeared as a solid sphere.
Once it morphed into this ball, it moved toward the head of my bead (another 2 feet maybe) and hovered there – same distance off the floor. It was about 3-4 feet from my face. Unmoving, it just stayed there in the air.
This photo was taken from the same place I was during the white ball of light incident. Water, orange juice and pizza on the nightstand. No beer! Air conditioner was off here, but the only thing different about this pic and when it happened minutes before was the air was on then. Seeing the place again makes me want to return to the hotel room and see if it happens again.
I wasn’t scared yet. My mind wasn’t working emotionally yet. I knew it was a profound experience, and I just wanted to see it with my eyes as much as possible before it went away. I probably had time to go get my camera and fire off a few shots, but I didn’t know that. I dared not move a finger, an eye-lash. I stared wide-eyed at it and tried to come to grips with it.
As I looked at it I struggled to put it into some category. It was very odd because the light of the ball didn’t shine out. It was as if it was inside the sphere, or, or just the sphere was made entirely of white light. It didn’t hurt my eyes, it was just pure as any white I’d ever seen.
The sphere had a crisp edge, and yet there was nothing encapsulating it. It was just a perfectly formed ball. It didn’t sparkle, pulse, change color or form, dance around, talk to me, or anything.
After 3-4 seconds of staring my mind changed and I realized what I was probably looking at. Ball lightning. It was the only solution I could come up with at the time. I’d never seen ball lightning, only heard of it briefly somewhere before. I’d never studied the phenomenon and didn’t know anything about it except it was visible sometimes during storms.
Just as I became aware that it could be a form of lightning and fear entered my mind, the thing vanished. I don’t remember really how it went away, it just was instantly not there. There was no trace of it. No smell. No sound. No marks on the wall or window. The air conditioner was working fine. Though the object was pure white light, I saw no after effect – I mean like no inverse color retina effect of it once it was gone.
I lay there for a few seconds, not realizing it was gone. I haven’t said this before, because it made even less sense to say it back then when it happened, but I’ll say it now because I just want to give out as much information as possible about the thing.
I lost some time during this.
I can’t account for an hour of time. An hour or a bit more. I do know it was late afternoon about 17:25 (5:25 p.m.) when I first saw it. When it left, it became dark outside very quickly. It doesn’t get dark until 6:30 – 6:45 p.m. I have no memory of missing the time. It was only when I go back and trace my steps – seeing it, writing about it, shooting the video about what happened, that I realize there is an hour plus that I cannot account for. I have goose-bumps right now as I write that and every time I think about it I get the same feeling.
After it left and I yanked the wire out of my computer and turned the air conditioner off, I dove behind the bed where I cowered in the corner farthest from the window. I don’t know why I didn’t leave the room, I was terrified, but I was also half-afraid to miss it in case it came back when I was out.
So, since April 15th, 2013 I’ve been asking myself what it was. I’ve done a lot of research on ball lightning, and my experience doesn’t appear to match other people’s experiences of it. Mine was different in many ways, not least of which being there was no lightning nearby before seeing it.
I wrote up a list of possibilities below.
Possible Explanations for White Sphere of Light in My Hotel Room
Ball Lightning. At first this was the only thing I could point to. Now, after much research, it doesn’t appear at all a good match for any report, and only some of the characteristics match ball lightning at all.
Floating Ball of Electricity. I don’t think this had anything to do with the electricity from the air conditioner coming out and floating through the air for a couple of reasons. 1. The ball of light came through or materialized IN the window, not from out of the A/C unit. 2. The air conditioner worked fine all the time, except during this occurrence and it didn’t happen again for my stay. 3. There was no burning smell, electric smell in the air. 4. No smoke. 5. No crackling sound of electricity.
Plasma. There are some reports online about balls of plasma that occur due to electricity and some atmospheric conditions. Some say they come through windows because silicone has something to do with it. This is a possibility I guess, except plasma in experiments I saw online looks cloudy. Mine was not. Scientists say it is extremely hot (see video) – mine wasn’t.
Dream. I wasn’t sleepy. I had slept enough over the past few days. I always sleep enough. I was in the middle of searching something online, not in the middle of feeling sleepy. Definitely not a dream.
Hallucination. This is a scary thought. I guess. I haven’t had one since though (15 months later).
Ghost / Spirit / Demon / Angel. I don’t know about any of these. Never believed in them. Not sure one of these would come and just stare at me and then leave again in a few seconds. What do I know though?!
Kasina. In meditation there is a white or other color ball of light that is a mind-sign that helps one get into the Jhana levels. I haven’t meditated for a while, and I only rarely saw any white ball kasina when I did. I’ve never seen one during the middle of the day with my eyes open and not meditating. Possible I guess, but extremely odd. I’ve never heard of anyone having seen one like this. Also, it started out as a long balloon shaped blob… kasinas are always small and round and just grow larger around. Always have been for me at least, other people do report other shapes.
Random Energy. Maybe energy for some reason just materialized there in the room. I don’t have any idea about this. I did think that if I touched the white sphere maybe I would spontaneously combust. Maybe this is what happens to people that do. The ball touches them and they burst into flames. Who knows, right? Two unexplained phenomena that might be explained a bit when combined. Alien or Being from Another Dimension. As much as it is hard to believe, there doesn’t seem to be any more rational explanation for this experience. I love the idea too, so, I’m leaning toward this one.
God. If God came here and floated in the air above me, there must have been a point. I don’t see the point because it seems nothing was asked of or communicated to me. I sincerely doubt this one. Maybe God doesn’t want me to write “Recipe for Chaos” but, no message like that was communicated, so the book will be written!F

For somebody who has never seen a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object), it can be hard to imagine what they look like. Reports of incidents from the military are quite detailed, and if one thing is absolutely clear, it’s that the UFO phenomenon is global and has included many military encounters. Personally, I’ve had multiple UFO experiences, some of which have been quite remarkable and breathtaking. I’ve even had a few alongside a couple of members here at Collective Evolution. These are objects that are performing maneuvers that should be impossible, and look like nothing that we have on this planet. I mention this because we are not alone in our experiences, there are many others who have seen the same thing.
“As the F-4 approached a range of 25 nautical miles it lost all instrumentation and communications… When the F-4 turned away from the object and apparently was no longer a threat to it, the aircraft regained all instrumentation and communications.” (source)
The above quote comes from a declassified United States defence agency report detailing a UFO encounter that occurred over Iran in 1976. It’s one of many examples outlined in thousands of pages of UFO documents that have been released by dozens of governments from all over the world. This type of occurrence is a common one, where UFOs are tracked on radar, as well as visually confirmed by military pilots, who are then sent out to take a closer look.
Another example of a common encounter occurred on December 16th, 1978, by the Chilean Air Force:
“Two pilots on a training mission, each flying an F5 fighter aircraft, tracked the object on their airborne radar. It gave a return equal to ten or more aircraft carriers – except this object was in the air, not floating on the water. Each pilot assumed his radar equipment was faulty, until he learned that the other pilot was also getting the same return. Not only this, but ground radar from a nearby airport also picked up the object and confirmed its huge size. The pilots also saw the object with their own eyes. One pilot later said that at a distance of twenty miles, it looked ‘like a plantain banana swathed in smoke.’ The pilots were frightened, having no missiles or weapons. As they approached the massive object, which had been motionless all this while, it took off at an unimaginable speed. The list of encounters from these documents where pilots describe such objects literally goes on and on, and the pictures below are a good example of what various military pilots have described throughout the decades. This is something that has happened scores of times and continues to this day.
The pictures below come from investigator/researcher Alex Mistretta, who can be contacted at: mistretta1020@gmail.com. Apparently, they are from a United States Navy submarine, taken in March of 1971. The Sumarine was the Navy’s USS Trepang (SSN 674). The submarine came upon the object by “accident,” as they were in the region on a routine joint military and scientific expedition. Officer John Klika was the one who initially spotted the object with the periscope.
I am not saying that these pictures are real, in fact, they might not be. The point here is to give readers a taste of what military pilots commonly describe, and what is commonly picked up on military radar. That’s why I wanted to show these pictures in the first place, to spark your imagination with what could be ‘fake’ pictures, of a very real phenomenon, and for those who have not had the experience of seeing something like this.

This incredible discovery could prove to be the most important thing since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The ancient collection of 70 tiny books bound with wire, could reveal some of the biggest secrets of the early days of Christianity.
As everything that challenged conventional thinking and science, the discovery of these artifacts has caused experts to have divided opinions and to question their authenticity. Located on these miniature pages are images, symbols and words that seem to refer to the Messiah and, possibly, to the crucifixion and resurrection. But most importantly, some of the books are sealed, arousing doubts among academics if these could actually be the lost collection of codices mentioned in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. Dr. Margaret Barker, former president of the Society for the Study of the Old Testament, said, "The Book of Revelations speaks of sealed books that were only open for the Messiah. There are other texts of the same period of history that speak of great wisdom that has been locked away in the sealed books. These contain a secret tradition passed by Jesus to his closest disciples.
The books were found in a cave situated in a remote part of Jordan known to be a location to where Christian refugees fled after the fall of Jerusalem. Other important and authentic documents of the same period have previously been discovered in the area.
Jordanian government officials are in talks at the highest levels to repatriate and safeguard the historical collection.
After the discovery by Jordanian Bedouin, this potentially "priceless treasure" was acquired by an Israeli who said he smuggled the books outside the border into Israel, where they remain.
After initial studies, metallurgical testing indicates that some of the books would go back to sometime near the first century after Christ. Some researchers believe this discovery to be one of the most important findings in history, crucial evidence from the beginning of the Christian era, prior to the writings of St. Paul.
These writings could contain, within their inscriptions, contemporary stories of the final days of Jesus' life. David Elkington, a British scholar of ancient religious history and archeology, and one of the few to examine the books, said that might well be "the greatest discovery in the history of Christianity." "It's exciting to think that we in the hands objects that may have been held by the early saints of the Church," he added.
Philip Davies, emeritus professor of biblical studies at the University of Sheffield, believes that this is an authentic historical findings. according to Davies, there is strong evidence that the books have a Christian origin because there are plaques showing a map of the holy city of Jerusalem. According to professor Davies, there is a cross in the foreground, and behind it is something which could be interpreted as a grave. The books seem to describe the crucifixion that takes place outside the walls of the city.

Retour sur les faits
Le 19 septembre 1961, dans la nuit, sur une route déserte du New Hampshire, Betty et Barney Hill traversent les White Mountains, en suivant la nationale 3. C'est alors qu'ils observent dans le ciel le déplacement d'un point lumineux qui grossit et change soudain de trajectoire pour les suivre. L'engin se rapproche de plus en plus d'eux en émettant des flashs de lumières avant de s'immobiliser dans le ciel. Puis il se pose dans un champ et Barney décide de descendre de son automobile afin de mieux observer l'appareil. Il aperçoit à travers les hublots de l'OVNI des êtres en uniformes. Celui-ci se pose puis une échelle sort de sa base, puis une porte s'ouvre. Barney fuit en direction de sa voiture et démarre très rapidement. Un étrange son, décrit par Barney comme un " bip-bip ", envahit l'habitacle de la voiture, et le couple s'endort. Le même son se répète une deuxième fois et ils se réveillèrent. C'est alors que l'homme se retrouve au volant de son automobile en train de conduire, à 55 km de l'endroit où ils s'étaient arrêtés, d'après un panneau. Leurs deux montres sont arrêtées et le voyage dure 2h de plus que d'habitude. Aucun souvenir ne correspondait à cette période de leur trajet. Ensuite, Barney ressent une vive douleur dans le dos et il constate des marques d'usure sur ses chaussures, comme s'il avait été traîné sur le sol. La semaine suivante, ils sont pris de cauchemars, de souvenirs étranges et d'insomnies. Betty développe également différents symptômes dépressifs : mélancolie, perte d'appétit et angoisse. Le couple s'adresse alors à un médecin qui leur conseille de consulter un Psychiatre de Boston, le docteur Benjamin Simon. Celui-ci décide de les interroger séparément, sous hypnose, et les versions coïncident étrangement.
Faits décrits lors de ces séances d’hypnose
Ils voient des humanoïdes se diriger vers eux et se sentent paralysés. Puis ils se retrouvent soudainement dans le vaisseau. On les sépare et leur fait subir des expériences physiques et mentales, ainsi que toutes sortes de prélèvements. Betty veut savoir d'où viennent ces êtres, et le capitaine du vaisseau demande à l'américaine de lui situer la terre sur une carte de l'espace. Mais elle en est incapable. Il lui rétorque que dans ce cas, il ne saurait lui répondre. Le capitaine du vaisseau leur dit qu'ils ne se souviendront de rien à la fin, que cela vaut mieux pour eux, et que la curiosité Betty est inutile.
Sous hypnose, Betty Hill décrit la carte présentée par les Aliens en la dessinant au docteur. Après des analyses de spécialistes tels que Walter Mitchell et Marjorie Fish, les ET des Hill seraient venus du système Zeta Reticuli. Interrogés séparément pendant plus de six mois, Betty et Barney ne se contredirent jamais et leurs versions furent toujours concordantes. La personnalité du couple Hill rend la thèse du canular hautement improbable. Surtout qu'à cette époque le phénomène des enlèvements par des ET est quasiment inconnu. Le docteur Benjamin Simon considérait que le couple était sincère, mais conclu, en tant que scientifique, au " fantasme partagé ".

ABDUCTION RECOLLECTION:
He is flying high over a lush green tree landscape, over rolling tree lined hills and though he
knows that it must be night, within the tractor light-beam, under a moving craft, the fields and countryside below are lit up as though it were day, but he knows it's night, because he is told that he is dreaming.µ
For a few brief seconds, until he is drawn into the craft, he sees the green granular nature of the trees below, and feels the visual exhilaration of flying, but rather than fear, he is filled with a combined sense of peace and joyous happiness.
He marvels at the texture and color of his neighborhood, and his movement above it.
He is dreaming, but he is awake.
The smaller craft lands near a much larger ship, hiding in plain sight, in a field.
He is told by a small, dark, grey alien, always just out of sight, that he is to wait on line, for a tour of a country estate.
He is numb and is surreal vividly dreaming but he feels that he is awake.
He moves forward, people in front of him and in back of him, on a narrow path surrounded by a false screen memory of a flat, unidimensional static scene, a photograph of an English garden.
It is hot and humid with the rank smell of soil.
People clutch what looks like brochures and move slowly in a single line, towards the country estate, bored, and only mildly interested.
He approaches the door of the large alien craft.
A ticket taker sits at the entrance way, on a stool behind a lectern, observing the entering crowd, a doorway official seen as a slim teenager.
He thinks it odd, that such a young caretaker should seemingly be in charge, and as he lifts his eyes to meet the teen's gaze, the young boy turns into a kindly old man.
"It's mind control, not shape-shifting", he is told, by a sonorous tour-guide's voice, in answer to his unasked thought.
Everyone is awake but also dreaming.
Inside is a waiting room, dirty, dull and round, a white room with no adornments and a black floor.
He awakens, dreaming and feels that the room is in flight.
It is a dream within a dream.
Awake again, briefly, he is dreaming while standing upright, walking in his sleep,
climbing a steep metal stairway ladder path-bridge, that leads to a very large room at the top of the stairs.
Someone in front of him dreams, and wakes up dreaming.
He looks to his right, as he climbs, to see an enormous domed -curved window which makes up the staircase's whole upper wall of the alien craft, and as he
climbs, feeling very numb,
he pauses, and stops the line of mass abducted people.
He looks out of the window and sees the Earth and the Moon, opposite each other, hanging in the blackness of space.
He places his arms on the curved railing where the staircase meets the bottom of the window and
cups his chin in his hands, to understand the raw beauty of what he sees:
Outside is blackness.
The Earth, in the far right portion of the glass window, hangs suspended in a black nothingness, a planet swimming in blue-white haze, with a large red area, perhaps, the desert of North Africa, or the Arabian peninsula.
Silver and bright, the Moon, far to the left portion of the glass, also hangs suspended in a black nothingness.
Far away, violet splashes of nebulae, and points of red pinpoint starlight, intersperse with millions of white stars.
Chin in his hands, he leans over and says in a wistful, admiring tone,
"These people who live at THIS estate have some view; what a view!"
The small, dark, grey alien tour guide became startled and all at once, the window's 3-D space scene, becomes a painted uni-dimensional flat portrait, of an English garden landscape.
Chin in hands, still looking out of the window, but now at the expanse of poster-like green lawn, of a garden landscape, he dully repeats,
"They DO have a nice view!"
The tour guide, startled to hear him repeat this praise, seemingly unaware that the scene of the garden had already worked to distract him, knee-jerk- reflex -overreacted; he is slammed with a mind control jolt.
The alien creature tightens and magnifies its short psychic leash of control to throw him into a vivid emotional ecstasy, and he feels compelled to look down at his feet, and away from the window's view.
The simple metallic ladder- path underfoot, transforms into carved inlaid wood one, delicately patterned and dazzlingly ornate, an inlaid ebony and maple wood design, cryptic and deeply beautiful in motif and complexity.
He is forced to kneel to examine it, his eyes now fully away from the stars, Earth and moon, seen outside the enormous, curved window .
Powerful awe, love, and wood -admiration, a godlike reverence of wood, flashes through his mind at the mirage of the intricate wood designed staircase, suspended in air.
Complex, gorgeous and lushly constructed, a staircase in multicolored woods, forces an almost religious awe, which courses through his brain, to thrill him,
a tsunami of reverent awe for the dazzling wood patterns, and for the unknown artist-architect, overwhelms and distracts him, a gifted attempt to get him to forget what he has seen outside of the craft's window.
The sleeping line of climbing people is now fully stopped by his fawning and repeated examinations, of the simple metal staircase, as he repeatedly retraces his steps to examine it, in a rapture.

The tour guide, just out of sight, presumes that the delusion is strong enough to have worked and he hears a resonant, deep, paternal, impatient voice, now within his head,
"Just keep going; it will be there, for you to see, when you get back."
"But, things change so quickly, in dreams", he thinks, "and this gorgeous wood stairway, will likely not be there, when I return."
He lingers, enthralled.
The alien ' guide', who tethers him and all the others, within a snug cocoon of illusions, had deftly made a simple, metal staircase, the un-rightful recipient of that stolen awe, of the magnificent scene viewed outside the craft's window.
But when he awakens, he DOES remember the staircase and his monumental awe of the spectacular space scene, outside the curved window, of the alien craft;
" Astounding creatures, uncanny, psychic, mind-bending, short- leash-controls." he dully thinks, when he awakens exhausted, with a dull headache and a copious nose bleed, more tired getting up, than he had been, going to bed.
And 'dreams', in a gnawing realization, could no longer ever again, be trusted to merely be, .. 'dreams'...

One's longitudinal approach to any self-defense must be a spiritual one, and not a physical one.
For defenses to flare, one must recognize that one is not a person having troubled spiritual problems, but instead an eternal soul having troubling human experiences.
From the stance of self-recognition as an eternal spirit, one can then insist on "one's own space'. as spiritual fruition.
Avoid church-based or organized religions and put the Bible on the same shelf, as the Tooth Fairy for
God, is real, but down a long hall, and somewhere else...
