NASA’s robot on Mars, aptly named Curiosity, has recently come across some fascinating finds which will help solve the mystery of the presence of water on the Red Planet.
As noted by The Christian Science Monitor, “In the last several months, Curiosity has for the first time found an abundance of the rock-forming chemical silica, a mineral composed of silicon and oxygen and, on Earth, usually deposited by water.”
As shared by NASA, “Curiosity rover has found much higher concentrations of silica at some sites it has investigated in the past seven months than anywhere else it has visited since landing on Mars 40 months ago.”
In a video which can be viewed below, astro-geologist Jens Frydenvang from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico shared, “We don’t have a full understanding yet of what this means.” He added, “On earth, all the environments where we find this kind of silica require some kind of water activity. Often it’s also a very nice environment to find microbial life.”
NASA further shared, “Adding to the puzzle, some silica at one rock Curiosity drilled, called ‘Buckskin,’ is in a mineral named tridymite, rare on Earth and never seen before on Mars.”
On our planet Earth, the mineral tridymite is found in volcanic deposits with rich silica content. So, the mineral being discovered hints at volcanic evolution on Mars. It is also possible that tridymite could have formed by other processes.
As reported by The Christian Science Monitor, Elizabeth Rampe, planetary geologist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, said, “We could solve this by determining whether trydymite in the sediment comes from a volcanic source or has another origin.” She added, “A lot of us are in our labs trying to see if there’s a way to make tridymite without such a high temperature.”
Geophysicist Ashwin Vasavada shared at the American Geophysical Union meeting that “scientists have observed signs of the building blocks for life on Mars.” So, keep coming back to see how the mystery unfolds.

FARMINGTON — For UFO authors Scott and Suzanne Ramsey, the truth is still out there.
After self-publishing their 2012 book, "The Aztec Incident: Recovery at Hart Canyon," the couple along with Frank Thayer have just published a new expanded edition, released by New Jersey publisher New Page Books on Dec. 14, with a longer title, "The Aztec UFO Incident — The Case, Evidence and Elaborate Cover-up of One of the Most Perplexing Crashes in History."
Scott Ramsey said during a phone interview on Monday from the couple's home in North Carolina that they are still adding to the 1948 flying saucer story that has captivated them since the late 1980s.
"When we self-published our book, within a year we had more people knocking on our door with new information," Scott Ramsey said. We're still getting leads. And when I first heard about (the Aztec UFO), I said, 'I'll have this whole thing figured out in 16 months tops.' That was late 1986. I was a young guy back then."
As reported in The Daily Times in March, the Ramseys last returned to Aztec to visit the site of the fabled flying saucer crash in Hart Canyon, about eight miles northeast of Aztec. The couple installed a plaque where they are convinced a UFO came down in Hart Canyon in 2012.
"The spacecraft was approximately 100 feet in diameter and 18 feet tall. It was one of the most intact crafts that the government had recovered at that time. Sadly, all occupants, as many as 16, died as a result of this crash, making the full disclosure of both purpose and origin all but impossible," the sign reads.
Initial witnesses responding to a reported brush fire near drip tanks in the canyon described seeing a "lens-shaped disc" and after peering inside the saucer, "several child-size bodies in form-fitting jumpsuits, slumped over a control panel and charred 'like fried ducks,'" according to the book.
The Ramseys plan on returning again next year on Mar. 25 to mark the 68th year since the flying saucer allegedly crashed atop a mesa in Hart Canyon.
They met when Suzanne Ramsey invited Scott Ramsey to speak on her Farmington radio show in 2001 about his research and she was intrigued by her future husband's ardent pursuit of historical research, she said. For 26 years, the two have followed an "investigative journey" that has taken them through 28 states, poring over 55,000 FBI, CIA and other related documents at a personal cost of than $500,000, Scott Ramsey said.
And still, the crash continues to provide more and more leads, the couple says. They are considering spending the next few years continuing to gather more and more leads and evidence and releasing a third edition on their latest findings.
"I don't care where the answers lead, I just want to know the truth," Suzanne Ramsey said. "We just love gathering facts. It's the greatest treasure hunt. It's been a challenge on our marriage, our time, money and energy. But we really enjoy it. Life's never boring."
While a better known purported brush with aliens in New Mexico came eight months earlier in Roswell, the Ramseys said the hunt for new leads keeps them going, all while they each run separate businesses — Scott Ramsey has a wire supply business and Suzanne has a company that sells root beer. They live on and operate a farm, the third of their many enterprises.
But the Ramseys say that what really drives their interest in the event has very little to do with aliens from outer space — it's history and research, not the tin foil hat crowd.
"If somebody says they lived in Aztec, we pull the tax records. It's a lot of detective work," Scott Ramsey said. "You watch these new UFO shows, there’s only a handful of people doing real research. The majority of the people are just doing fluff. We’re trying to do legitimate historical research."
One of the Ramsey's closer readers, former college professor and accountant Monte Shriver, spent about a year researching the fabled crash near Aztec after first reading their 2012 book. the work resulted in his self-publishing his own book in response to "The Aztec Incident," called "It's About Time."
"I don't deny that there are things called UFOs, but they're just what they're called, unidentifiable flying objects," Shriver said on Monday from his home in Las Cruces. "I still disagree about many of their conclusions."
He said he has personally witnessed three UFOs — all of them near his Las Cruces home — over the last decade, but finds little credible evidence of verifiable alien life as presented in the Ramseys' new edition.
He's even part of the Ramsey's new book.
"They call me a 'sincere skeptic,'" Shriver said. "They were very nice to me."
Shriver plans on rebutting many of the conclusions in the Ramsey's new book at a San Juan County Historical meeting in April at the Aztec Senior and Community Center, roughly a week after the UFO crash anniversary brings the Ramseys out from North Carolina.
"Maybe they'll be there the same time I am," Shriver said. "That would be pretty interesting and fun. We'll see."

A Southport UFO specialist has joined a project to raise money to buy a new satellite to check for extra-terrestrial activity.
Pat Regan, an author from Ainsdale, joined the six-man team who hope to raise $50,000 (or £33,000), as a UFO consultant.
The 58-year-old dad-of-four was approached after he published work on his own UFO sighting.
Pat said: “I got involved after a woman in Canada wrote to me who had seen my UFO report.
“I was fishing in Rufford in 2008 with my little girl at the canal and there was some really bad weather.
“We saw this tunnel cloud and I climbed up onto a bridge to take a photo of it and when we got home we saw a speck in the picture, and when we zoomed in we saw a green disc.”
Pat, who also has four grandchildren, has been an author since the 1990s, and has published nine books.
Pat Regan is the UFO consultant on a new crowdfunding project which is hoping to buy a Low-Earth Orbit satellite.
He said the project was “exciting” to be involved with and was nothing like talking about “little green men”.
Pat said after national media picked up the picture he was contacted by an American history channel who came over and interviewed him.
He wrote about his experiences and became inundated with people contacting him with their own exper- iences, which was how he became involved with his latest project.
Pat said it was an “honour” to be featured on the project, entitled CubeSat – after the satellite they hope to buy with the money they raise.
The team’s CubeSat will be cap-able of detecting and measuring various radiation sources which can then be visually confirmed with two nano-cameras giving a 360-degree view around the satellite.
They are also hoping to include a micro-radar system which would give them the ability to verify detected objects in space.
Pat said: “I find the mystery behind it the most interesting.
“The day I saw the disc in Rufford was just one of those days when you get a weird feeling that something was going to happen.”

Dave Cote says he used to be skeptical about the existence of unidentified flying objects but after seeing some lights in the sky that he couldn’t explain, he’s looking for an answer.
Cote is now planning to launch a small satellite into low-Earth orbit in the hopes of getting those answers and he’s raising the money to do it through a crowdfunding campaign.
“There’s a lot of people who believe, there’s a lot of people who don’t,” Cote says. “But there’s very little actual scientific experimentation to study the phenomenon, so I thought, why don’t we try and do that.”
Cote says he was with a friend, who had seen UFOs before, the first time he saw one for himself
Cote says the two were out at night, near his hometown of Maple Ridge B.C., looking for UFOs when it happened.
“We saw something, we had a few lights turn on above us and start zigging and zagging and turning in circular motions, no sound, and this was before the time of drones, I couldn’t explain it. And from that day, I think my skepticism sort of dissolved a bit,” he says.
Before that, he says he had met other people with UFO experiences, but he wasn’t quite ready to believe until he saw something with his own eyes.
Cote says that a large number of former airforce pilots have reported seeing UFOs. There’s also former Canadian defence minister Paul Hellyer, who has said that aliens are visiting Earth.
“It sounds really crazy but these are a lot of people with reputations and careers and its hard to think that they would all lose their minds,” he says. “Usually when you have that kind of testimony, you take the topic seriously, but with this particular topic, it’s never really been taken so seriously.”
And that’s what Cote says he wants to do, a serious, scientific inquiry into what might be causing this. He says he doesn’t know what he’ll find.
“I’d be interested to find anything, we’ll be measuring things like radiation, we’ll probably get infrared, we’ll get visual, maybe we’ll find things with the magnetic field or solar flares,” he says. “If we actually capture something, like a craft of some kind, that will definitely raise some questions.”
Working with him is Matthew Lippert, an expert in the type of miniature satellite that Cote wants to launch who works at a U.S. airforce base in Ohio.
Cote says that when Lippert first emailed him, he was a little surprised.
“If you go into the UFO literature, apparently the Roswell Incident, when there was a crashed disc, it’s claimed that the U.S. government captured it,” Cote says, “ and brought it to the Wright-Patterson Airforce Base,” the base that Lippert works at.
But he says he soon realized that Lippert was just a fan of satellites who was interested in the topic.
Cote wants to raise US$50,000 to get the project off the ground, of that around $8,000 will go to the space launch with the rest being used to improve the capabilities of the satellite.
With over two weeks left, he’s raised over US$11,500.

Christoffel Columbus kwam in 1492 aan in het gebied dat nu de Bahama’s omvat. Maar was hij de eerste niet-inheemse persoon die Amerika bereikte? Zo zouden onder meer de Vikingen, Polynesiërs en de Chinezen de beroemde ontdekkingsreiziger al voor zijn geweest.
Een groep onderzoekers verkondigt nu een controversiële theorie, namelijk dat de Romeinen 1000 jaar voor Columbus voet aan wal zetten in de Nieuwe Wereld. Hoofdonderzoeker Jovan Hutton Pulitzer zegt bewijs te hebben dat Romeinse schepen Noord-Amerika in de eerste eeuw of eerder hebben bezocht.
De onderzoekers zeggen een Romeins zwaard te hebben gevonden op Oak Island, voor de kust van Nova Scotia. Pulitzer heeft een paper geschreven over zijn ontdekkingen. Het is volgens hem 100 procent zeker dat het gaat om een Romeins zwaard.
Grottekeningen
“Het ceremoniële zwaard komt uit dat scheepswrak,” vertelde hij aan The Boston Standard. “Het is een indrukwekkend Romeins artefact.” Het zwaard is vergeleken met andere Romeinse zwaarden en blijkt qua samenstelling overeen te komen.
Pulitzer keek ook naar grottekeningen die zijn gemaakt door de inheemse Mi’kmaq. Sommige afbeeldingen tonen volgens hem Romeinse legionairs.
Uitheemse plant
In 1901 werden al een fluit van een Romeinse legionair en een Romeins schild gevonden op Oak Island. In 1933 stuitte men op een klein Romeins beeldhouwwerk in Mexico-Stad. Ook zijn in de buurt van Oak Island gouden munten uit Carthago ontdekt.
Pulitzer wijst daarnaast op de aanwezigheid van een uitheemse plant die ooit werd gebruikt door de Romeinen. Het team is van plan de onderzoeksresultaten begin volgend jaar te publiceren.
Door de jaren heen waren er al veel opnames te zien van UFO’s die zich ophouden in de buurt van het ISS ruimtestation.
Er zijn nu beelden door NASA gemaakt waarop niet één, maar talloze UFO’s zijn te zien.
Tijdens de aankoppeling van de Sojoez ruimtecapsule enkele dagen geleden bij het ISS ruimtestation kregen mensen die de gebeurtenissen via de webcam volgden een mooie voorstelling.
Er waren talloze UFO’s te zien die aan alle kanten langs de Sojoez capsule scheerden.
Ongetwijfeld hadden ze de afgelopen week koffiepauze bij NASA toen de beelden van de aankoppeling van de Sojoez capsule werden vertoond via de webcam.
Normaal gesproken wanneer iets dergelijks gebeurt, gaat de boel onmiddellijk op zwart en komt er een mededeling dat er technische problemen zijn met de verbinding.
Niets echter van dit alles dit keer. Over het scherm zie je talloze UFO’s die zich met hoge snelheid in alle richtingen begeven.
Op een zeker moment komt er zelfs een soort donut-achtige UFO voorbij zeilen.
Het meest bizarre van alles is dat de hele wereld dit kan zien en dat er nimmer een verklaring komt.
We zien ze overal, maar we doen net of er helemaal niets te zien is.
Van jongs af aan worden wij voorgelogen in de schoolbanken omtrent onze werkelijke afkomst en onze geschiedenis.
De bewijzen dat er veel meer was, staren ons in het gezicht, niet alleen op deze planeet, maar ook op Mars.
In de zomer van 2012 schreven wij een artikel over Brien Foerster en de langwerpige schedels in een klein museum in Peru.
Brien Foerster, bekend van de Discovery Channel serie “Ancient Aliens” werkt op dit moment samen met een piepklein museum in Peru. Hier liggen een aantal overblijfselen van mensen met een langgerekte schedel.
Sommige historici stellen dat deze schedels zijn ontstaan door het “afbinden” van het hoofd, waardoor de vreemde vorm zou zijn ontstaan. Er zijn echter een aantal aanwijzingen waaruit valt af te leiden dat dit wellicht niet het geval is.
Zo schijnt het dat de schedels een indicatie zijn dat er een grotere hersencapaciteit aanwezig was dan bij normale schedels. In het museum bevindt zich ook een baby met een langwerpige schedel. Nu is het al niet aannemelijk dat een schedel bij een jonge baby gevormd zou zijn door “afbinden” van het hoofd.
Bovendien is er nog een merkwaardigheid. De baby heeft elf ribben, terwijl de mens 12 ribben hoort te hebben. Ook de verbinding tussen het lichaam en het hoofd laat zien dat deze dikker is dan bij doorsnee mensen. Bovendien ziet de schedel er volkomen natuurlijk uit en laat totaal geen sporen zien van enige misvorming.
Bij wijze van grote uitzonderding heeft Brien van de curator van het museum toestemming gekregen om DNA-monsters te nemen van deze baby, tesamen met een ook daar aanwezige foetus.
Dit DNA zal dan in de zeer nabije toekomst moeten uitwijzen of het hier inderdaad om een menselijke baby gaat of wellicht toch een buitenaardse.
In de onderstaande video kun je zien hoe het nemen van het DNA monsters in zijn werk ging.
Inmiddels zijn in ieder geval een deel van de resultaten van het door Brien Foerster uitgevoerde onderzoek bekend en het zal niemand verbazen dat de schedels die gevonden zijn in Paracas in Peru in 1928 niet menselijk DNA bevatten.
Nu naar Mars waar deze week op een NASA foto iets is ontdekt dat verdacht veel lijkt op de soort langwerpige schedels uit Peru.
Eigenlijk niet meer dan logisch. Buitenaardsen die zich ooit op aarde bevonden zullen ongetwijfeld ook op Mars zijn geweest.

The lights were in the sky and seen through tree branches. This tells me it is a real sighting and the UFOs are flying together as if watching out for their wingman. Scott C. I was points of light in the sky in the North moving N to S in a line. None of the lights were were in a perfect line but formed a rough line. All moved uniformly and in sync WRT velocity. My suspicions were raised when I realized no sound was being emoitted, contrary to my initial belief that they were military helicopters in formation. As the four of them passed overhead, the second to the vanguard diminished in brightness and in doing so began emitting a redder light until finally it disappeared. I then noticed more movement to the North and observed a fifth apparently catching up because of it's slightly higher rate of speed. At this point there were only four and all continued in the same vector at the same speed. After a short time, as with the first one, all began to disappear in the same as the first. Detailed description of lights: each light had a bright center enveloped on a fuzz glow. I felt elated and surprised.

According to British Astronaut Major Tim Peake, life exists elsewhere in the universe. Major Tim is confident that we are not the only intelligent species in the universe. Peake has joined a long list of Astronauts and government officials who claim that Alien life does exist in other parts of the universe.
“There is a high chance we will soon discover there was – or is – life in our solar system,” the 43-year-old told Mirror Online.
“I would be very surprised if there wasn’t life elsewhere in the universe.”
Even though Peake believes in Alien life, he does not expect to see ‘little green men’ popping out of a crater on Mars. However in a surprising statement he added that “Single cell life forms might be found on Mars.”
Not only does Peake believe life can be found on Mars today, he also states that it is very likely that extraterrestrial organisms might be found on the moons of Saturn or Jupiter, some of which are proven to hide vast oceans of water.
He said: “Wherever there is water, there is the possibility of life.”
The statements from Peake are anything but surprising. Before him, numerous other astronauts have come forward speaking about alien life and the UFO phenomenon. One of the most incredible statements about Alien life was made by the sixth man to walk on the surface of the moon, Edgar Mitchell who claims that aliens came to Earth to stop a nuclear war between America and Russia. Edgar Mitchel has spoken about the fact that military personnel had seen mysterious flying objects over missile bases around the world, even above the White Sands facility, where the world’s first ever nuclear bomb was detonated in 1945.
“White Sands was a testing ground for atomic weapons – and that’s what the extraterrestrials were interested in.
“They wanted to know about our military capabilities.
“My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to war and help create peace on Earth.”
“I have spoken to many Air Force officers who worked at these silos during the Cold War,” he continued.
“They told me UFOs were frequently seen overhead and often disabled their missiles.
“Other officers from bases on the Pacific coast told me their [test] missiles were frequently shot down by alien spacecraft.
“There was a lot of activity in those days.”
Nick Pope, the former ministry of Defense, and one of the most prominent UFO researchers on the planet said in an interview for British media:
“Edgar Mitchell is an honorable and truthful man, who I’ve had the privilege of meeting,” he said.
“But so far as I’m aware, most of his information on this issue comes not from things he’s experienced himself, but from things he’s been told by others.
“Clearly, because of who he is, he’s had access to government, military and intelligence community personnel at the highest level, but because – quite understandably – he won’t name his sources, we can’t be certain these people were being straight with him, or indeed that they were privy to any classified information about UFOs.”

The changing faces of Pluto and its biggest moon, Charon, are highlighted in a set of newly released photos captured by NASA's New Horizons spacecraft.
New Horizons took the images from July 7 through July 13, in the lead-up to the probe's historic flyby of Pluto on July 14. The photos show Pluto and Charon rotating through a full day on those worlds, which lasts 6.4 Earth days on both frigid, faraway objects. (Charon is tidally locked to Pluto, just as Earth's moon is locked to Earth; an astronaut on Pluto would always see the same face of Charon.)
The images — captured by New Horizons' Long Range Reconnaissance Imager and its Ralph/Multispectral Visible Imaging Camera — show the famous heart-shaped feature on Pluto, dubbed Tombaugh Regio. The photos also highlight that while Pluto's two hemispheres differ radically from one another, Charon seems much the same all over, NASA officials said.

Although Pluto completes one rotation every 6.4 Earth days, the time from sunrise to sunset will vary a lot as the "seasons," each of which lasts decades, pass by. Pluto's seasons are much more extreme than those on Earth, incidentally, because the dwarf planet's axis is tilted 120 degrees, compared to just 23.5 degrees for our planet.
Pluto's orbit is also highly inclined. As a result, the sun would appear to circle overhead from large parts of the dwarf planet for most of its 248-year-long orbit around the sun.
New Horizons took the images from distances that ranged from about 5 million miles (8 million kilometers) on July 7 to 400,000 miles (645,000 km) on July 13, NASA officials said. During the July 14 flyby, the spacecraft approached within 7,800 miles (12,550 km) of Pluto's surface.
New Horizons is still beaming home images and data from the July 14 flyby, and will continue to do so through next August or so, mission team members have said. The spacecraft is currently cruising toward a small object located about 1 billion miles (1.6 billion km) beyond Pluto, called2014 MU69, which the probe will study up close on Jan. 1, 2019, if NASA approves a potential extended mission.

Northrop Grumman has revealed a tantalising image of a new stealth 'superjet' capable of firing laser weapons.
The so called 'sixth generation fighter' is rumoured to fly at supersonic speeds, although Northrop Grumman, who are developing it, say the specifications are still secret.
The stealth craft is expected to use advanced cooling systems to help disguise its laser systems.

Known internally as NG Air Dominance, the craft features laser weapons. The so called 'sixth generation fighter' is rumoured to fly at supersonic speeds, although Northrop Grumman, who are developing it, say the specifications are still classified.

Air Force bosses have boasted combat lasers will be fitted to fighters planes 'very soon' and have revealed a full scale prototype is being built.
'I believe we'll have a directed energy pod we can put on a fighter plane very soon,' Air Force General Hawk Carlisle has claimed at the Air Force Association Air & Space conference in a presentation on what he called Fifth-Generation Warfare, according to Ars Technica.
'That day is a lot closer than I think a lot of people think it is.'
Chris Hernandez, Northrop's vice president for research, technology and advanced design, told BreakingDefence the sixth-gem fighter will be long range because it won't have many bases to operate from overseas; it must 'carry a lot of weapons;' survivability will be key.
What do those requirements and physics lead you to?
'This looks a lot like a baby B-2 and this is really getting into our sweet spot,' Hernandez said.
Northrop Grumman has two design teams working on the new aircraft.
However, the firm would not discuss the plane's speed, saying that would have to wait for clearer direction from the Pentagon in the future.
It is expected to use laser weapons - and this has caused major problems around heat.
As Northrop president for aerospace Tom Vice said, managing heat will be key.
'Add in all the aircraft's power and thrust systems, and you have an enormous heat challenge,' said Hernandez.
In April 2012, the Navy issued a formal request for information for the F/A-XX.
It calls for an air superiority fighter with multi-role capabilities to replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft in the 2030s,
Boeing and Northrop Grumman are both developing concepts.
Lockheed Martin has been working on next-generation air dominance-related activities with the U.S. Armed Services and most recently the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to determine the best way to maintain air dominance in the post-2035 world.
In October of 2012, Frank Kendall, Undersecretary of Defense, tasked DARPA to explore concepts for the next generation of air dominance.

In an attempt to break the battle space into smaller pieces, DARPA defined separate focus areas that span capabilities across the air dominance battle space.
'This decomposition may not be perfect and will most certainly be fine-tuned over time, but it does provide a logical construct for looking at the future battle space,' said Mark Jefferson, director of Next Generation Air Dominance programs at the Skunk Works.
Previous reports say the superjet might even not have a pilot.
According to the Pentagon, it may partially fall in the hands of artificial intelligence (AI).
Reports say that both the US Navy and Air Force are planning next-generation fighters that don't have just a human pilot.
Future fighter jets may have an AI co-pilot on board that can help with sensory data in addition to autonomously landing the plane on an aircraft carrier.
According to the US Naval Institute (USNI), artificial intelligence will feature prominently on the successors to the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.
The US Navy is working on the F/A-XX and the Air Force on the F-X, with both designed to replace their predecessors by 2030 at the earliest.
'AI is going to be huge,' a US Navy official told the USNI.
While the exact purpose of AI in aircraft isn't known yet, it could have a number of uses from acting as a co-pilot to carrying out autonomous landings.
According to Popular Science the robotic co-pilots would be especially helpful for aircraft carriers, which are difficult to land on.
Recently the Navy's X-47B experimental drone landed autonomously on an aircraft, demonstrating the usefulness of AI in such a situation.
AI could also help with something known as advanced sensor fusion.
This involves combining data from various sensors to get a more accurate reading of a situation or location.
The Navy and Air Force are also hoping to get help from industry experts in Silicon Valley to aid them in the design of such sixth-generation fighters.

India has been an attractive region for UFOs lately, such objects being filmed over the skies of the capital city, New Delhi, and the Indira Gandhi airport.
Authorities have taken public notice and the air force pilots have received orders to fire at will on UFOs, if they return.
This time, a red glowing spacecraft landed somewhere in the west of India and put an entire village on their toes. Scared witnesses described a human like shape emerging from the UFO for a few seconds and retreating just before the ship went airborne, covered in what villagers saw as a glowing fire that was leaving sparks behind.
Investigators sent to Kangal to question witnesses, somewhere in the Mysuru region, concluded that :
"The women claim that the spacecraft descended close to 500 feet from them and they could spot humanoid figures. They have no clue about aliens and they have not even heard about such things. So we are assuming that they are not lying.”
There were 7 people who claim to have experienced the encounter, which took place in broad daylight on the 1st of October, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
They say the alien was wearing orange apparel and approached them in order to gather information or quickly study them, before reentering the UFO and taking off. The burning debris left behind is very unusual, as almost all UFOs encountered make no noise and leave no residue behind.
This particular UFO might have been plagued by technical difficulties and looking for the right place to gather the needed resources and proper hiding spot for repair. Indian UFOlogists have even claimed that this is the same UFO from the international airport, or at least a similar one, ran down by the Indian Air Force and probably damaged as a result.
Skeptics say that the villagers could’ve easily seen just a military aircraft, which would also be completely unknown and strange for farmers in that region of India. The skeptics, however, have failed to explain the orange suited alien.
As the Indian authorities are clearly taking this matter seriously, we can expect to hear more on the subject before too long.

ATMOSPHÈRE.
Titan, une lune de Saturne, est le deuxième plus grand satellite naturel du système solaire, après Ganymède. Il s’agit du seul satellite connu à posséder une atmosphère dense et des paysages pouvant rappeler ceux de la Terre avec des collines, des lacs et des rivières…d’hydrocarbures. Mais l’épaisse couche nuageuse au-dessus de Titan masque la plupart du temps ces détails. Cette nouvelle image livrée par la Nasa et issue des données récoltées par la sonde Cassinilève (un peu) le voile sur la surface de l’astre.
L’infrarouge contre la brume
La photographie composite ci-dessous a été réalisée à partir de clichés pris le 13 novembre 2015 à haute altitude (10.000 km) par l’instrument VIMS, un spectromètre fonctionnant en lumière visible et en infrarouge. Il a obtenu des vues dans le proche infrarouge de Titan à des longueurs d’onde pouvant percer la brume nuageuse et orangée de l’astre et laisser apparaître quelques détails de la surface.

Sur l'image sont notamment visibles deux régions sombres et parallèles : Fensal au nord et Aztlan au sud qui forment une sorte de H renversé. Les couleurs de l'image sont fausses et représentent les longueurs d'onde de la lumière collectée par VIMS, le bleu pour 1,3 microns, le vert pour 2,0 microns, et le rouge pour 5,0 microns. Pour la Nasa cette nouvelle image de la surface confirme que sur Titan se déroulent des processus remarquablement semblables à ceux qui façonnent la Terre. De fait la surface de la lune est parsemée de dunes, de lacs et de rivières. Mais avec une température qui peut descendre jusqu’à -179°C, Titan ne possède pas d’eau liquide mais plutôt des lacs de méthane et d’éthane et une atmosphère composée à 95% d’azote. Des composés qui n’excluent pas la possibilité de l’existence d’une forme de vie avec un métabolisme basé sur le méthane.

The first manned mission to Mars is still a goal for the future, so the best we can do to explore the Red Planet is to send robots. Curiosity has proven itself to be a good stand-in for boots on the ground, though. After rolling farther than any rover before it, Curiosity has found something new on Mars — silica. There’s silica everywhere on Earth, but we haven’t seen much of it on Mars before no, and that’s what makes this find so important.
Our story starts seven months ago when Curiosity was passing through an area called Marias Pass. It stopped and used its ChemCam laser drill into the rock to perform a mineral analysis, as it had done at many points since landing on Mars in 2012. The data was acquired and Curiosity went along its way up Mount Sharp. Then, NASA did something it almost never does — it turned the rover around and sent it back to do more science in Marias Pass.
It was the presence of silica in the sample that got scientists so excited. That sample analyzed by Curiosity showed concentrations of up to 90 percent silica, which is a big change from seeing only traces of silica in all previous samples. Curiosity spent the next four months checking various areas around Marias Pass, which is where two different sediment layers converge, to see how extensive the silica enrichment was. It turns out, pretty extensive.
The presence of silica is important because it points to the presence of water in Mars’ geologic past. Of course, we now know that Mars has a little flowing water now, and that it had large lakes and flowing rivers in the past. Curiosity has found the dried lake and river beds, after all. All those dry lake beds only tell us there was water, not whether or not it would have been suitable for life. The water could have been too salty or acidic for live to develop, and it’s hard to know what conditions were like millions of years ago.
A high concentration of silica could, however, help us make draw some conclusions about the nature of Martian water from ages ago. Silica in these concentrations would probably end up there because of other minerals dissolving (acidic environment) or deposition of silica (neutral pH). Silica precipitates out of water at pH 7 or 8, so the layer of strata in Marias Pass and surrounding areas could have been ideal for living organisms. Scientists are still examining the data from Curiosity’s stop-off in Marias Pass in hopes of determining how the silica got there, which might change the way we imagine an ancient Martian environment ( via extremetech.com ).

Astronomers spotted a faint, distant object located in the outer region of the solar system. Using the Atacama large millimetre/submillimetre array (ALMA), a powerful telescope located in Chile, the scientists said that this object could possibly be the ninth planet of the solar system.
The object can possibly be a super-Earth, a planet with a mass higher than Earth but substantially below that of Neptune and Uranus. However, other scientists have doubted the discovery. Mike Brown, an astronomer from the California Institute of Technology, remarked that the evidence to support the claim is too little and finding a ninth planet is very unlikely.
"One possibility (and I think the most likely) is that it's an extreme trans-Neptunian object about 100 astronomical units (AU) away from the Sun," claimed astrophysicist Brian Koberlein, Christian todaynotes. "Another possibility (which seems more likely to the object's discoverers) is that it is about 300 AU away and about 1.5 times the size of Earth, making it the first 'super-Earth' found in our solar system."
The discovery has been submitted but has not been peer-reviewed or formally published yet due to scepticism. However, the discoverers defend that they need other scientists’ opinion to confirm the discovery. If proven to be incorrect , they will fully withdraw the papers.

Ten years ago a Google employee, Dave Bacon, may have unlocked the secret to quantum time travel, creating a computer that could theoretically travel back in time.
Around ten years ago researcher Dave Bacon, now at Google, showed that a time-travelling quantum computer could quickly solve a group of problems, known as NP-complete, which mathematicians have lumped together as being hard. The problem was, Bacon’s quantum computer was travelling around ‘closed timelike curves‘. These are paths through the fabric of spacetime that loop back on themselves. General relativity allows such paths to exist through contortions in spacetime known as wormholes.
Why send a message back in time, but lock it so that no one can ever read the contents? Because it may be the key to solving currently intractable problems. That’s the claim of an international collaboration.It turns out that an unopened message can be exceedingly useful. This is true if the experimenter entangles the message with some other system in the laboratory before sending it. Entanglement, a strange effect only possible in the realm of quantum physics, creates correlations between the time-travelling message and the laboratory system. These correlations can fuel a quantum computation.
Physicists argue something must stop such opportunities arising because it would threaten ‘causality’ — in the classic example, someone could travel back in time and kill their grandfather, negating their own existence.
And it’s not only family ties that are threatened. Breaking the causal flow of time has consequences for quantum physics too. Over the past two decades, researchers have shown that foundational principles of quantum physics break in the presence of closed timelike curves: you can beat the uncertainty principle, an inherent fuzziness of quantum properties, and the no-cloning theorem, which says quantum states can’t be copied.
However, the new work shows that a quantum computer can solve insoluble problems even if it is traveling along ‘open timelike curves’, which don’t create causality problems. That’s because they don’t allow direct interaction with anything in the object’s own past: the time travelling particles (or data they contain) never interact with themselves. Nevertheless, the strange quantum properties that permit ‘impossible’ computations are left intact. “We avoid ‘classical’ paradoxes, like the grandfathers paradox, but you still get all these weird results,” says Mile Gu, who led the work.
Gu is at the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) at the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University in Beijing. His eight other coauthors come from these institutions, the University of Oxford, UK, Australian National University in Canberra, the University of Queensland in St Lucia, Australia, and QKD Corp in Toronto, Canada.
“Whenever we present the idea, people say no way can this have an effect” says Jayne Thompson, a co-author at CQT. But it does: quantum particles sent on a timeloop could gain super computational power, even though the particles never interact with anything in the past. “The reason there is an effect is because some information is stored in the entangling correlations: this is what we’re harnessing,” Thompson says.
There is a caveat — not all physicists think that these open timeline curves are any more likely to be realisable in the physical universe than the closed ones. One argument against closed timelike curves is that no-one from the future has ever visited us. That argument, at least, doesn’t apply to the open kind, because any messages from the future would be locked.

Thirteen years ago, a group of Chinese researchers located and explored an ancient structure so unusual that an extraterrestrial hypothesis was promptly taken into consideration.
The fascinating ruins were discovered in the remote wilderness that makes up most of the intersection between China’s Qinghai province and the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Throughout history, humans have seldom settled in this harsh and inhospitable area. Only occasionally, migrant herdsmen pass through the mountainous regions to the north.
No industrial facilities can be found in the zone, much less the remnants of civilizations with advanced metalworking capabilities.
Despite this, atop a rocky ridge called Mt Baigong lies a pyramid-shaped ruin with three triangular entrances. Two of them are collapsed but the remaining one leads into an artificially-dug cave going deep into the heart of the mountain. Embedded in the cave walls and floor are hundreds of ancient metal pipes, arranged in what appears to have been a sophisticated network of unknown purpose and origin.
The rusted pipes range from toothpick-sized to 1.5 feet in diameter and connect the cave to nearby Toson Hu, a saltwater lake 300 feet away. On the northern shore of Lake Toson, erosion exposed hundreds more of these archaic ducts. This detail led researchers into believing whoever built the pipework either used it as a drainage system or as a way to pump saltwater from the lake.
Baffled by the complexity of the network of pipes, the researchers took samples of the strange metallic tubes to the Beijing Institute of Geology for analysis. That’s when they had their biggest surprise.
Making use of a process called thermoluminescence dating, the scientists were able to analyze the pipes’ crystalline structure and determined they had been subjected to extreme heat approximately 140-150,000 years ago. In other words, the pipes had been smelted long before humans started dabbling in metalworking. An advanced civilization building complex structures 145,000 before us? Could it have been alien?
The chemical analysis revealed even stranger details. The pipes had been smelted using a strange alloy composed of 92% common metals and minerals like ferric oxide, silicon dioxide and calcium oxide but it also contained 8% unknown materials. This intriguing aspect did not prove the pipes were out of this world but it did pave the way for speculation.
Unable to identify the exotic 8 percent, researchers turned to the remaining constituents and discovered another puzzling aspect: the pipes contained a proportion of silica that is specific to Mars.
The news fell like a bomb, the story quickly went viral and people started flocking to Mt Baigong to gawk at the anomalous artifacts. They even erected a monument with a satellite dish on top, a direct reference to the efforts to contact extraterrestrial civilizations.
As a consequence, the Chinese Government closed off the area and posted guards at the entrance to the cave. This attitude is highly suspicious, to say the least.
Skeptics say the Baigong pipes are nothing more than fossilized tree roots that somehow got lodged in sediment, hardening over the years and eventually becoming the unusual structures that stumped everyone. If this is the case, why would the authorities step in and have the military guard the site?
This situation led conspiracy theorists to believe Mt Baigong was once visited by an advanced extraterrestrial race, possibly originating from Mars. For whatever reason, they constructed an artificial pyramid on top of the mountain, housing what appears to have been a laboratory. This theory is intriguing for a number of reasons.
The entire area surrounding the mountain consists of wide expanses of flat terrain that would have been an ideal landing site for large spacecraft. The mountaintop makes for a perfect vantage point one could use to oversee landings and takeoffs.
THE ENTRANCE IS GUARDED AND ACCESS IS DENIED TO OUTSIDERS.
Recently, mineral explorations have shown the area contains various ore deposits. Any industrious civilization, no matter how advanced, could see the utility of extracting and managing these resources. In order to do so, they would have needed some type of energy source and that is where the pipes’ purpose might become obvious.
The Chinese scientists wondered why the pipes went into saltwater when another freshwater lake was even closer to the pyramid. Why the need for water containing a greater percentage of sodium chloride? Let’s examine some of our own activities and perhaps we can find an answer.
Modern chemistry and manufacturing makes use of a process called electrolysis, which basically requires passing an electric current through a solution or a molten substance. This triggers a chemical reaction which allows for the separation of materials. When water undergoes electrolysis, it breaks down into hydrogen and oxygen but this only works when saltwater is used. And it’s worth noting that a mixture of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen is commonly used as rocket fuel.
LAKE TOSON
Admittedly, this is all speculation but when combined, the totality of the details start painting a clear picture for the open-minded:
-Scientists discover ancient artifacts that predate modern history.
-Evidence suggests they were part of a much more complex structure.
-Complexity of said structure suggests the presence and activity of an advanced civilization, possibly from Mars.
-Government intervenes and prevents access.
-This scenario seems all too familiar to overlook.
Naturally, some have claimed the Baigong pipes are nothing more than a hoax. Unfortunately, this proposition seems to ignore the facts. The Chinese Government is well-known for its attitude towards those who sabotage the country’s image in the eyes of the rest of the world. It would have taken measures to punish those responsible for spreading false information rather than occupying the ancient pyramid.
Whatever the truth behind this perplexing discovery might be, one thing is certain: it doesn’t seem to fit in any of our traditional textbooks.
