Astronomer Tracks UFO Sightings Over Chicago Area, Feb 2016, Video, UFO Sighting News.
Date of interview: February 8, 2016 Location of sightings: Chicago, Illinois, USA News Source:
I do believe, as technology advances, so will the publics abilities to record and even contact aliens. Technology will arm the UFO researchers with very powerful tools. The one I want the most is a tool that can detect CGI in video to tell me if its real or not. There is an overwhelming amount of fake UFO videos on Youtube and we really need to know the truth, and fakes don't help the cause. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News): Mark Hammergren knows that the truth is out there. An astronomer for the Adler Planetarium – and a confessed X Files fan – he’s lived a life looking up into the stars. And when it comes to reported sightings of UFOs around the Chicago area, he’s heard a tale or two. Mark often gets phone calls at the Adler, with people claiming to see unexplainable lights and objects in the sky – unexplainable until Mark starts investigating. Modern UFO sightings in the U.S. began nearly 70 years ago. During that time, no definitive proof has ever been uncovered. But that doesn’t mean that the search is over, especially for astronomers. A quick Google search of UFOs in Chicago will yield a seemingly never ending trail of rumors, theories and speculation. And Mark will always be there to follow the trail. Because he’s a man who knows the value of looking into the night sky. He knows, somewhere out there, the truth is waiting.
Below, you see the close up view of the UFO that is orbiting asteroid 2004 BL86 right now. The UFO is 70 meters long. They call the UFO a small moon, but its not. As you see from the focused photos below, The UFO has a long metallic cylinder hull and two more smaller cylinder sections on opposite sides. The UFO is spinning, which gives us a great view of it from different angles as you see below. It came 750, 000 miles from Earth. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com
Above is the focused altered version, below is the original untouched version.
Deep Space Network JPL News States: 1/27/2015 UPDATE: The Goldstone scientists observing 2004 BL86 are part of a team of astronomers from around the world who have been characterizing the asteroid. Spectroscopic observations of 2004 BL86 made by Vishnu Reddy, a research scientist at the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson, using the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility on Mauna Kea, Hawaii, indicate the asteroid's spectral signature is similar to that of massive asteroid Vesta. Located in the heart of the solar system's main asteroid belt, asteroid Vesta was the recent destination of NASA's Dawn mission, which is now on its way to the icy world Ceres. Scientists working with NASA's 230-foot-wide (70-meter) Deep Space Network antenna at Goldstone, California, have released the first radar images of asteroid 2004 BL86. The images show the asteroid, which made its closest approach today (Jan. 26, 2015) at 8:19 a.m. PST (11:19 a.m. EST) at a distance of about 745,000 miles (1.2 million kilometers, or 3.1 times the distance from Earth to the moon), has its own small moon. The 20 individual images used in the movie were generated from data collected at Goldstone on Jan. 26, 2015. They show the primary body is approximately 1,100 feet (325 meters) across and has a small moon approximately 230 feet (70 meters) across. In the near-Earth population, about 16 percent of asteroids that are about 655 feet (200 meters) or larger are a binary (the primary asteroid with a smaller asteroid moon orbiting it) or even triple systems (two moons). The resolution on the radar images is 13 feet (4 meters) per pixel. The trajectory of asteroid 2004 BL86 is well understood. Monday's flyby was the closest approach the asteroid will make to Earth for at least the next two centuries. It is also the closest a known asteroid this size will come to Earth until asteroid 1999 AN10 flies past our planet in 2027. Asteroid 2004 BL86 was discovered on Jan. 30, 2004, by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) survey in White Sands, New Mexico.
Here’s one new video of a bright unidentified flying object hovering in the sky above Smyrna in Tennessee on 21st January 2016.
Witness report:My daughters and I were driving East on I-24 in Tennessee. The lights seemed to be hovering over the trees to the southeast of my location. We were driving, so it was hard to tell. I thought they were possibly helicopters from a nearby Air National Guard base. They seemed to remain stationary as we drove right under them. There were four bright points of white lights shaped in a crescent with a twinkling reddish/white in the center of the four brighter points of light. I have lived in this area most of my life and have never witnessed anything like this before. We continued on to our destination writing it off as what we thought it had to be, helicopters. But, curiosity got the best of me….
“UFO Did Crash In Roswell” Confirmed The Man Who Walked On The Moon. R.I.P Edgar Mitchell
“UFO Did Crash In Roswell” Confirmed The Man Who Walked On The Moon. R.I.P Edgar Mitchell
Former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell who once walked on the Moon, sadly passed away on Thursday 4th February 2016. He always claimed that he STILL believes a UFO with aliens DID crash in a US desert before the government covered it up and wants the world to know the TRUTH!
The former NASA astronaut and man on the moon Edgar Mitchell, has always remained adamant that more than one alien landed at Roswell nearly 70 years ago – and some of them were captured alive and could still be alive somewhere to this day. He went on to say:
“The truth about it is that it was real. I was there when the Roswell incident took place. I was on my way to college and had just graduated high school.
“One day, it was in the Roswell Daily Record, which was a newspaper in Roswell, about an alien spacecraft that had crashed, and the next day that it had been denied by the Air Force, saying that it was a weather balloon.
“I believed that and went off to college.
“Many years later, after I had been to the moon and came back, I went out to Roswell to give lectures, talk and meet people I knew since I was a kid.
“Many of the people I knew, along with descendants of the people who had been involved in the Roswell incident, told me their stories.” He said.
Edgar confirmed that the descendants included the son of an undertaker who provided “coffins for the alien bodies” and the son of a sheriff who “kept traffic away from the crash site” and helped keep the area secure from prying eyes!
Mr Mitchell once stated a very wise comment and said that we do not know what beings are in the Universe, because our planet is “like a grain of sand on a huge beach”.
Mr Mitchell was the sixth man to walk on the moon as part of the Apollo 14 mission in 1971.
Edgar Mitchell exploring the Moon in 1971
Mr Mitchell also added:
“A family friend who was a major in the United States Air Force told me it was all real.
“I got the stories from all of these various people into my head when I came back from the moon, and I then went to the Pentagon and told them my story about that and said, give me your opinion.
“The admiral who I spoke to said, ‘I don’t know anything about it, but I’m going to find out.’
“He went out to New Mexico and checked all around, came back and told me, ‘Your stories are quite correct and all real.’”
Edgar was also keen to confirm that the US government found dead and live aliens on board the crashed craft at Roswell!
Apparently, the US Government covered up the Roswell incident because they did not know if the ‘visits’ were hostile and also did not want Soviet Russia discovering about it….and possibly stealing any potential knowledge or technology!
Apparently the US Government were nervous about a potential hostile situation with Aliens after the Roswell event!
Edgar told how governmental agencies in the US did not know at all what to do with the alien crashed saucer and its “superior technology” for fear of it getting into Soviet hands and being used against them one day!
“The best course of action was to just lie about it, and keep it to themselves. They labeled it ‘above top-secret,’ and that created the long running iron curtain separating a secret group within the government, and the American public.” He said.
Mr Mitchell also made a shocking statement that he had been made aware of “many UFO visits to Earth during his career with NASA” with each and every one covered up!
Please check out an intriguing video with Edgar below:
U.I.P Summary
Edgar Mitchell no matter what, deserves a lot of respect as believe it or not but he did once upon a time walk on the moon, even though a lot of people think that this was faked. Mr Mitchell is a brave man, not just for his work as an Astronaut for NASA, but also for putting his reputation at stake by declaring his belief in Aliens and the events that happened at Roswell!
Yes Edgar was part of the fiasco that was the Roswell Slides recently, however you get the impression by his sudden non arrival at the event that he smelt a rat about the whole slides thing so perhaps had a change of heart! But when a man who used to work for NASA as an Astronaut declares that Aliens exist, then there is no denying the fact that the world has to LISTEN UP to what he is telling us all….
Sadly Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the Moon, passed away at a hospice in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday 4th January 2016. He died alongside his loving family. He was 85 years of age, and spent many of those years seeking the truth about who our ET visitors are – We salute you Sir for your bravery and for helping Humanity discover the truth about what lies beyond.

FBI’s Memo Confirms “Aliens DO EXIST”
FBI’s Memo Confirms “Aliens DO EXIST”
A memo has recently been discovered, apparently claiming by the ‘FBI’ that Aliens do exist! This memo was discovered by some leading UFO Researchers it has been confirmed.
The UFO Investigators are based at the Hakui Centre for UFO Research in Tokyo, Japan. Claiming that they have discovered an important document PROVING that Extra-terrestrial life exists.
The unusual memo supposedly confirms the existence of 3 foot Alien Beings, which piloted flying saucer type crafts.
According to some insiders, the FBI have become VERY anxious about this find and are concerned that if the document is released into the public domain members of the public gaining access to thousands of documents!
This recent exciting Memo found, apparently confirms the below:
“An investigator for the Air Force states that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. “They were described as being circular in shape with raised centres, approximately 50 feet in diameter.
“Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture.
“According to Mr (name blanked out), the saucers were found in New Mexico due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers.”
The Truth Is Coming??
U.I.P SUMMARY – Is it just me, but it really does feel like the FBI, NSA, MI5 and the CIA really do need to be a lot more careful with this ‘top secret’ information!? It feels like every month we are learning more and more about what is supposedly REALLY going on, by leaked information by Government Agencies.
Like we mentioned above, this is not the first time that the FBI has leaked information about Alien Beings and I am sure it is not that last time either. The NSA even have on their website an apparent ‘recorded Alien message’ from space, which they must have posted on there very discreetly!? Even the UK’s government agencies appear to be slipping up recently……!?
Could it be that this is all part of the ‘drip feeding of disclosure’ or just sloppy maintenance by these ‘supposed’ professional government agencies??
This is ALL of our Universe that we live in and we are ALL part of the Universe – So we should all know the truth about our Extra-terrestrial visitors opposed to having to depend on leaked government memos/documents.

Alien Disclosure : A Timeline of Secrecy [FULL VIDEO]
Alien Disclosure : A Timeline of Secrecy [FULL VIDEO]
Documents the efforts by Prime Minister St. Laurent’s government in the early 1950s to investigate flying saucers. This effort included building a flying saucer observatory, studies called Project Magnet and Second Storey, gravity control experiments, and the plan to land an alien at a Top Secret base in Alberta at the same time that high level officials in the USA and UK were meeting with aliens. Grant Cameron will show conclusively that high level officials in Canadian and US government knew the extraterrestrial nature of the phenomena from almost day one.
Officials have also known the nuclear connection and Mr. Cameron will talk about nukes in 1945, 1954, 1975, and 1988. Grant will name the officials since 1948 that have provided Top Secret briefings to the President, how Bill Clinton dealt with the effort by Laurance Rockefeller in 1993 to get disclosure, and Hillary Clinton’s interest in the subject as she runs for President in 2016.'
Quick, what's the best way to provide an alternative source of energy for the Earth?
If you answered, "Get a mini black hole to orbit Earth," then you andphysicist Stephen Hawking may be thinking on the same wavelength.
In a lecture on Feb. 2, the famed scientist said tiny black holes, about as massive as the average mountain, could power all of the world's energy needs.
"There is nothing technically wrong with this idea, but it is not very practical, at least within the next 10,000 years," said Sabine Hossenfelder, a physicist at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, who blogs at backreaction.blogspot.com.
Leaky black holes
Originally, scientists believed black holes were regions of collapsed matter so dense that nothing, not even light, could escape from their gravitational pull. Then, in 1974, Hawking put forward the idea that black holes leak quantum particles, a process now known as Hawking radiation.
The biggest black holes, which are billions of times more massive than the sun, live at the hearts of galaxies, while black holes about 10 times the size of the sun are peppered throughout the universe, Hossenfelder said. Such massive black holes are very cold, and so emit Hawking radiation. But researchers have also proposed the existence of relatively tiny black holes that would be hotter, and so emit more particles via Hawking radiation.
"A mountain-sized black hole would give off X-rays and gamma-rays at a rate of about 10 million megawatts, enough to power the world's electricity supply," Hawking said in the lecture. "It wouldn't be easy, however, to harness a mini black hole. You couldn't keep it in a power station, because it would drop through the floor and end up at the center of the Earth."
Elusive space objects
But there's another problem: No one has ever found evidence of these mini black holes, and there are good reasons to doubt they exist, Hossenfelder said.
In theory, these black holes formed early in the universe's history, when matter existed in a hot soupy plasma. As this primordial soup got squished together and flung apart, causing fluctuations in density, the theory held, occasionally some regions got so dense that the matter collapsed in on itself, forming mini black holes, Hossenfelder said.
But to form these primeval black holes, most models assume a high level of density fluctuations, which also tend to produce many more black holes than are present in the universe.
"You don't want everything to end up in black holes," Hossenfelder told Live Science.
Major towing problem
Then, presuming these miniature black holes are real and that people could detect the objects' existence, the problem becomes how to reach the monstrous powerhouses. That could take tens of thousands or even 100,000 years, Hossenfelder noted.
Next comes the monumental task of harnessing the black holes' power for energy.
"You cannot land on it and put some booster on it and move it, because it does not have a surface," Hossenfelder said. By using the gravity of a much larger object, people could theoretically tow a mini black hole, eventually coaxing it to sit in Earth's orbit, she said. Scientists would also have to harness the black hole's energy while simultaneously shielding humans from the black holes' harmful radiation (a relatively simple matter compared to all of the other tasks involved in the setup, she said).
DIY black holes
Of course, if venturing deep into outer space is unrealistic, there are other ways to harness mini black holes, Hawking said in the lecture.
But these extra dimensions may or may not exist: The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has so far seen no trace of them, Hossenfelder said. And if there are extra dimensions, that doesn't mean that lab-made mini black holes could power anything. If particle colliders such as the LHC did produce these tiny black holes, the objects would stick around for just 10 raised to the minus 23 seconds, she said.
"These tiny black holes would decay immediately. There is no way you could harness their energy," she said.
BRITISH CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY HIGHLY INTERESTED IN PILOTS' UFO SIGHTINGS
BRITISH CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY HIGHLY INTERESTED IN PILOTS' UFO SIGHTINGS
Despite the fact the UK's Ministry of Defense officially ended its UFO investigations in 2009, it appears that the British Civil Aviation Authority decided -- unbeknownst to the public -- to continue collecting reports that involved UFOs with possible flight safety issues.
"They were only interested in sightings that definitely had a bearing on aircraft or flight safety, and were no longer interested in reports from the public, who'd seen things in the sky and reported them to the Civil Aviation Authority," said David Clarke, the official UK National Archives consultant and a journalism lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.
Clarke, seen at right, told the Huffington Post that the Civil Aviation Authority -- a different government department from the MoD -- kept separate records of UFO cases, "not only by the aircrew, themselves, but also anything unusual that was seen by air traffic controllers on the ground at airports."
Through the filing of Freedom of Information requests, Clarke found that the Royal Air Force specifically requested any UFO reports submitted to the Department of Transport would no longer be forwarded to the MoD.
The RAF specifically states that "members of the public who make such reports are not encouraged to believe an investigation will take place."
It's now known that British air traffic controllers have been receiving UFO reports on almost a regular basis.
Speaking on the BBC Radio's "Today" programme, on Aug. 17, Richard Deakin, the head of the UK's National Air Traffic Control Services, was asked if he or his staff had ever been unable to identify a flying object.
"Well, occasionally, there are objects that are identified that don't conform to normal traffic patterns -- not just from the UK point of view, but from around the world," Deakin responded.
"I have to say it's not something that occupies a huge amount of my time." Deakin added that these sightings occur "typically around one a month."
If that's true, then Clarke's calculations of how many actual UFO sightings were written up as Mandatory Occurrence Reports, or MORS, was substantially higher.
"As far as MOR reports that I got from using the Freedom of Information, from December 2004 to October 2010, their actual database listed 10 instances of UFOs or unidentified aircraft," said Clarke. "Now [Deakin] is saying they get a report every month," he added.
"If that was the case, I'd expect it to be 80 in that six-year period, not 10. So, my question is: Where did all the others go?"
This comes on the heels of the Ministry of Defense's ruling that all UFO investigations in the UK have come to an end.
According to the MoD's website: The MoD has no opinion on the existence or otherwise of extra-terrestrial life.
However, In over fifty years, no UFO report has revealed any evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom.
The MoD has no specific capability for identifying the nature of such sightings.
There is no defence benefit in such investigation. Furthermore, responding to reported UFO sightings diverts MoD resources from tasks that are relevant to defence.
UK pilots have reported a number of chilling near-misses with UFOs.
One incident involved David Hastings, a British pilot pictured below, who, along with his co-pilot, David Paterson, was flying a Cessna Skymaster plane over the Mojave Desert in America on Sept. 9, 1985.
"We were sitting there enjoying the sunshine when we both suddenly saw this speck out on the horizon at our 12 o'clock position," Hastings told HuffPost.
"This speck suddenly grew extremely quickly until we saw this huge shadow go over the top of us," he recounted. "But the most amazing thing about it was there was no noise and absolutely no movement or turbulence at all. We looked at each other, saying, 'What the hell was that?'"
At that point, both pilots felt that something was in the air off the port (left) side of their plane, but they couldn't see anything there. They agreed that they were able to sense something moving outside.
Hastings walked to the back of the plane, grabbed his camera and returned to the cockpit where he snapped two pictures out the window. All he was able to see in the camera viewfinder was the left wing of the plane and the ground below.
It was only after they returned to San Francisco and got the pictures developed that they knew they'd encountered something extraordinary.
"One picture showed what we expected to see -- the aircraft wing and the ground," said Hastings. "But in the second one, there was this [cigar-shaped] thing. We were both convinced that it was not a manmade object.
"Several pilots have seen UFOs in England, so it didn't surprise me, but I was surprised that we actually got a picture of it."
Hastings recalls that, although he wasn't frightened by the object, he was mostly concerned about the initial encounter with it and the possibility of a mid-air collision. No hoax was ever determined in this case, which remains unexplained to this day.
Why do aviation officials avoid talking about UFOs? In the UK, Clarke suggests it's something that could result in bad publicity ( via huffingtonpost.com ).

Einsteins zwaartekrachtgolven zouden zijn gespot DS.be
Einsteins zwaartekrachtgolven zouden zijn gespot - DS.be
Russia and Europe Join Forces Toward Building a Permanent Base on the Dark Side of the Moon
Russia and Europe Join Forces Toward Building a Permanent Base on the Dark Side of the Moon
Space projects have started to intensify this century, and the plans and expectations of space agencies are big and daring like never before.
While Russia plans to build a permanent lunar base, as well as an orbiting outpost by 2030, the European Space Agency (ESA) decided that it will be a good idea to join forces with them, in order to diminish their efforts and also start a ripe collaboration between the two space agencies.
The ESA announced that it will offer key tech for a planned exploration mission scheduled for 2020, and also provide important resources for the future plan to construct a permanent outpost.
Lead scientist on the project, Igor Mitrofanov, from Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, told the BBC that:
" We have to go to the Moon. The 21st Century will be the century when it will be the permanent outpost of human civilization. Our country has to participate in this process, and we have to do it together with our international colleagues."
The two space agencies will send Luna 27, a robotic lander that will reach the South Pole-Aitken basin, a colossal crater located on the dark side of the Moon, in order to prospect resources that will be used by astronauts for the development of the future Moon outpost.
"It will be for astronomical observation, for the utilization of minerals and other lunar resources and to create an outpost that can be visited by cosmonauts working together as a test bed for their future flight to Mars. – Mitrofanov declared"
However, ESA’s lead scientist, James Carpenter revealed an interesting fact about this future space mission. The location where Luna 27 will set up camp is covered under a veil of mystery. He claimed that this so far unexplored part of the Moon will provide essential conditions for future space missions due to its “completely different environment”.
"The south pole of the Moon is unlike anywhere we have been before. The environment is completely different, and due to the extreme cold there you could find large amounts of water-ice and other chemistry which is on the surface, and which we could access and use as rocket fuel or in life-support systems to support future human missions we think will go to these locations."
While they assume that a Luna 27 base can work using the resources provided by the environment to create rocket fuel and other complex designed materials, it is more likely that the two space agencies will use an already existent base in order to achieve their goals, well hidden in the far south side of the Moon.
Considering that astronauts will reach the distant Red Planet starting with 2020, this Lunar Project seems rather insignificant, unless it holds other meaningful secrets. – Is it possible that this particular project is evolving around an already existent base of extraterrestrial origins?
The chances might seem small, but reading through the lines of another curious statement belonging to ESA’s lead engineer on Luna 27, Richard Fisackerly, the hypothesis of an existing alien base on the south pole of the Moon furtherly takes shape.
"This whole series of missions feels like the beginning of the return to the Moon but it is also starting something new in terms of overall exploration of the Solar System."
If this is indeed an ambitious plan for humans trying to systematically explore and conquer space or if it’s rather a sophisticated staging attempt of an already existing ET base that is gathering precious resources using advanced alien tech, we can only presume, but because truth is always found half way when official announcements are made, there is plenty of room left for speculations.
Columnist Cheryl Costa discusses what you need to do to report your UFO sighting.
So you are out for a walk with your significant other and low and behold, the two of you see some strange and amazing bright object in the sky. What do you do?
My advice: watch it and enjoy the experience.
If you have the presence of mind to note what direction it came from and traveled to, it would be helpful for researchers — especially should you care to report the sighting later. The two of you should come to a consensus about the shape of what you saw, as well as make a note of where you were and what time it was that you saw the UFO.
OK, regarding reporting: This is where it gets a bit complicated. First off, don’t call the Air Force, as they haven’t collected UFO sighting information since 1969. In fact, since 1969, no United States government agency publicly collects UFO data.
Don’t call your local newspaper. Most news editors I’ve met tend to blow off the topic of UFOs. Many I have known think that people who report such sightings are either nuts or hoaxers, so don’t bother with them.
While I don’t want to paint all journalists and news directors with the same brush, I’d also advise against calling your local television or radio station. Experience has shown they aren’t any more receptive than the newspaper folks are.
What about law enforcement? My advice is if the UFO has landed or is a clear and present danger to property or public safety, then by all means call law enforcement. Many of the best UFO sighting reports over the years have been filed by law enforcement and public safety officers. But if you just want to tell somebody about your amazing sighting, don’t bother law enforcement. They have enough to do.
If you file a report, it’s important to just get it down concisely to the facts and only the facts. You wouldn’t believe how many sighting reports that I’ve read that rambled on about whose back yard barbecue it was at and how amazing the sighting was. But nowhere do they tell us size, shape, color, direction of motion and sound, if any.
Likewise, it’s important to fill in the blank of what city, town or village you were in, and the correct state. An accurate date and time of the sighting is also critical, especially if other people report the sighting. All of this helps UFO investigators correlate mass sightings.
Be sure to share your identification and contact information. The NUFORC and MUFON folks are honest people, but if you really want to remain anonymous that’s ok too.
Finally, you really only need to file the report with one of the two UFO reporting services. Most the researchers monitor both databases.
Spring is coming and with it comes the season for UFO sightings. Enjoy the experience if you see one!
LET’S LOOK AT SOME RECENT UFO SIGHTINGS IN NEW YORK SKIES:
Jan. 17, 2016: At 4:15 a.m., a resident of Accord witnessed three bright golden lights flying in a tight formation. The lights were moving slowly above the tree line.
Jan. 17, 2016: At 8:30 p.m., a resident of Manhattan observed a white cloud-like object that was rotating.
Jan. 22, 2016: At 6 a.m., a resident of Middle Village witnessed a bright object fly across the sky in a high arc.
Jan. 24, 2016: At 11:45 p.m. a resident of Whitestone watched a bright light streak across the sky.
If you are interested in joining a monthly UFO discussion group in the Onondaga County area, drop Cheryl an email NYSkies@DragonLadyMedia.com. If you have a UFO sighting to report, you can use either one of the two national database services: nuforc.org or mufon.com. Both services respect confidentiality.
Cheryl Costa would love to hear the when, where and what of your New York sighting. Email it to NYSkies@DragonLadyMedia.com. The names of witnesses will be omitted to protect their privacy.

5 of the most chilling British UFO sightings in history revealed
5 of the most chilling British UFO sightings in history revealed
TALES of unidentified flying objects have always shaken up conspiracy theorists and, in the spirit of the X-Files, we’ve rounded up the top five British sightings which sent shivers down our spine.
1) Not the whole picture... Photos plundered
In 1990, two hikers in the Scottish Highlands were startled when a huge diamond-shaped object appeared in the air, where it hovered for 10 minutes before shooting off into the sky.
Whilst most UFO ‘sightings’ lack convincing photo evidence, these savvy spotters managed to snap the mysterious craft.
A series of 6 colour photos showed the 25-metre metallic craft with an RAF jet in pursuit, and the pictures were said to be the best ever evidence of UFO activity.
Of course, these snaps ended up in the hands of government officials, but Nick Pope, an MoD employee charged with logging UFO sightings, said a blown-up image was removed suspiciously from his office.
He said: “It was the best UFO photo we ever received... intelligence personnel came to the conclusion that these photographs are real – it’s a solid craft and no-one has the faintest idea what it is.”
He claims this was part of an internal cover-up, but he was told by officials there was no record of the original photos when he pressed them.
In December 1980, two members of a US security patrol at an Air Force base in Suffolk went to investigate a suspicious light in nearby Rendlesham Forest.
One of the men, Jim Penniston, claimed he saw a strange craft in the woods.
“I estimated it to be about three metres tall and about three metres wide at the base,” he said. “I walked right up to it. I noticed the fabric of the shell was more like a smooth, opaque, black glass.”
The object then apparently vanished, but other staff at the base noticed some strange sights over the next few days.
Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt described a hovering object and “a beam coming down to the ground”, whilst other guards investigating another supposed UFO landing in the forest were warned away by shadowy military personnel.
Whilst the official investigation said the sightings were due to a lighthouse, Halt, now, 75, claims he obtained reports saying local radio operators did log a mystery craft.
He believes he was part of a serious UFO cover-up.
Former British cop Alan Godfrey believes he was the victim of an alien abduction when he was on a night patrol in November 1980.
The respected policeman was suddenly startled by a brightly lit craft on the road in front of him, which he claimed was “the size of a bus.”
The UFO was 14ft tall, rotating and hovering five feet above the ground, but when the creeped-out cop tried to radio for help, Pc Godfrey found his device was dead.
The next thing remembered was driving along the road again 30 yards beyond the point where he was stopped.
He found he couldn’t remember the 15-minute period after spotting the craft, and filed an official report when other officers and a lorry driver saw similarly strange lights in the same area as his encounter.
Under hypnosis, the policeman later recalled seeing small beings on the UFO, as well as a figure who conducted medical tests on him. Pc Godfrey said: “This was a solid craft, not a trick of the mind.
“I would swear on the Bible it was from somewhere else."
A black triangular UFO spotted several times over the Midlands has been dubbed the ‘Dudley Dorito.’
In 2008, the craft was snapped over Dudley, with a report following in 2010 that a triangular craft “four or five time bigger than a plane” had been spotted in the region.
And, mere weeks later, 21-year-old quality inspector Minuesh Mistry saw a similar craft hovering above his home in Tipton.
He said: “Me and my closest friend saw an amazing fast-moving and silent craft in the shape of a triangle made up of what appeared to be three lights fly across the sky at a mind-boggling speed.”
Officials dismissed the reports as likely to be caused by “supernormal atmospheric plasma phenomenon”.
A shocked jumbo jet pilot was left fearing for his life after a near-miss with a UFO in July 2013.
His aircraft was flying over Berkshire at 34,000ft when the cabin crew spotted a strange object hurtling towards his port side window.
In the last moment, the “bright silver rugby ball-shaped” craft allegedly vanished into thin air as quickly as it appeared.
The panicked pilot radioed air traffic control, but radar came up blank – as did military scanners when an official report into the sighting was launched.
The investigation concluded it was “not possible to trace the object or determine the likely cause of the sighting.”

A DOG owner from Nailsworth was celebrating after two of her Shetland sheepdogs won national trophies for their obedience.
Blackbird of Exford, owned by Ms D Homfray, was awarded the Moonen Shield Trophy for gaining the most points in obedience and Gleam of Exford was runner-up.
Ms Homfray was the senior trainer of the Stroud Dog Training Club.
FORMER Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas-Home visited Bisley to attend the wedding of his nephew in the village church.
The ex-Conservative minister attended the wedding of Charles Douglas-Home and Jessica Gwynne with Lady Douglas-Home.
PUPILS at King’s Stanley Primary School had an unexpected extra day off after a fault with the boiler.
The stock of anthracite which fed the boiler had run out and because of a rail hold-up, the County Education Department was unable to get a new supply to the village.
The eighty-five pupils and teachers were forced to take the day off as it was decided it was too cold.

A MUCH-LOVED mum from Chalford passed away – 12 days after she had celebrated her 100th birthday on Christmas Day.
Annie Pearce, a strong supporter of the Labour Party, grew up in Chalford where she met and married John Pearce.
The couple had one child together, Gwen, who Annie lived with along with her son-in-law before her passing.
A FARMER from Painswick appeared on HTV West television programme West Country Farming to discuss a controversial new dairy unit at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester.
The show, presented, by Richard Hughes, a former student at the college, discussed the merits of the unit which was controversial due to its cost.
THE introduction of music cassettes at Stroud Library was proving popular.
An array of cassette cases could be seen in the main hall of the library, mainly consisting of classical and light classical music.
Stroud had joined other county libraries Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester, Cinderford and Moreton-in-Marsh in introducing the new state-of-the-art technologies.

THE FUTURE of St Matthew’s Church Hall in Cainscross hung in the balance after a decision by Stroud District Council not to develop the land for sheltered housing.
The hall was situated on a site which was soon to be put up for sale by the PCC.
Users of the hall feared that unless the land was bought by the council, it would be sold to a developer who would pull down the hall to build on the land.
THE new chairman of Stroud Show Peter Chapman was drawing up plans for a spectacular event.
It was announced that the Band of the 15th/19th The King’s Royal Hussars would lead the carnival procession at the event in July.
Mr Chapman, from Minchinhampton, had been the society’s treasurer for several years and was this year taking over the mantle of being chairman of the show.

GENEROUS readers helped raise more than £1,000 for a teenager who was left paralysed in an accident.
Rob Blanch, who was 14, needed the money so that he could get a £7,000 wheelchair which could climb stairs so that he could then attend Maidenhill School in Stonehouse.
Rob, from Cashes Green, Stroud, suffered a broken back, damaged spinal chord and fractured skull after he fell from a tree while on holiday at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.
He spent three days in intensive care before being transferred to the specialist Duke of Conrwall spinal unit in Salisbury.
Discharged in time for Christmas, Rob was aiming to get back to school in April but needed the wheelchair as the school had three storeys.
THE Stroud Football Poets reached their cup final – an appearance at the launch celebrations of the European Championships.
The group of literary experts with a love of the beautiful game were to appear for 20 minutes at the Festival Hall in London in June in a spot called 90 Minutes of Football Poetry.
The group was set up by Stuart Butler and Dennis Gould. Mr Butler was also putting together a book of football poems written by staff and pupils at Brockworth School where he worked as a history teacher.
2006
WITNESSES who saw a bizarre object hover over in the sky over Cainscross were so concerned they contacted a UFO investigation group.
Michael Soper, from the group Contact International UK, said “We were contacted by a man who reported seeing a very large pinkish object.
“It was 1,000 feet up and silent.
“It took about 30 seconds to pass over Stroud and it was travelling from north west to south east.”
He said it was unlikely to be a plane because of the colour.
PARENTS heaved a sigh of relief after new premises were found for a Stroud nursery.
Beanstalk Nursery had been running at Stroud College since 1992 but in June staff were shocked to discover plans to create a new state-of-the-art-college which did not include space for a childcare facility.
But Stroud District Council found the nursery new premises in the old tennis pavilion at Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
The rooms were being refurbished to make them suitable for a nursery.
Stuart saw light emanating through the tall trees...
PARANORMAL investigator Damon Simms has explored some of Staffordshire's spookiest locations. This week he interviews a man who encountered something inexplicable in the woods...
The paranormal world is something I find absolutely fascinating but if there is one subject that really stirs my imagination it is the prospect of life on other planets and the thought that it has visited us here on Earth.
UFOs and aliens to some people would seem fantastical. However, for others they are all too real... as Stuart found out in July of 2013.
Stuart works for the fire and rescue service locally and, in his spare time, enjoys walking his dog at Cannock Chase.
His dog is a three-year-old husky called Nanook - named after the dog from the classic 80s horror movie The Lost Boys.
Day or night, come rain or shine, he would always take time out to enjoy a long stroll with his dog.
It was late July and the sun was setting over the Chase. Stuart hasn't seen another soul for almost an hour.
As man and dog ventured further into the dense and vast woodland area, Stuart and Nanook were both enjoying the fresh evening air.
Stuart described an almost intoxicating and revitalising smell of natural pine which became stronger the further they walked into the towering trees.
Normally around this time on their walks, Nanook would become excitable and run off - only to return with a random sticks and cones for his owner.
However, for some reason on this occasion Stuart noticed that Nanook seemed hesitant to leave his side.
In the distance Stuart thought that he kept getting glimpses of light emanating through the tall trees.
He remembers Nanook kept glancing towards the light as if he could hear or sense something.
Stuart stopped walking so that he could pay attention to the strange situation.
At that moment, Stuart claims he could not only sense but smell what he describes as a static or electrical atmosphere envelope them.
He says Nanook became agitated and began to growl in a protective and aggressive manner in the direction was where the light was coming from.
Stuart said that he felt as if he was rooted to the ground and became paralysed with fear.
The more intense the atmosphere became the more terrified he felt and the more agitated his dog became.
The lights flashed again. This made Nanook even more agitated.
By now his fur was standing up all over his back, his head was bowed low and his teeth were bared as he snarled at whatever the perceived threat was.
Then something even stranger happened.
The lights that seemed to be just off the forest floor began to rise - 10 feet, then 15 feet, then 20 feet into the air.
Still the lights continue to rise until it seemed to Stuart they had risen above the top of the trees.
Looking up, Stuart stared with his mouth wide open.
Finally, he could make out where the lights had been coming from and as he looked above the treetops he could now clearly see what looked like a large, metallic disc-shaped object 'the size of the centre circle on a football pitch'.
Struggling to take in what he was actually witnessing, he attempted to calm his dog but he says the words wouldn't come out. By this point Nanook was uncontrollable.
The object stopped rising into the air and suddenly changed direction. Slowly but steadily it moved towards Stuart and his canine guardian.
Stuart managed to shake himself out of an almost trance-like state and began to stumble away - dragging Nanook with him.
Stuart told me that he even tried to hide behind a number of trees - hoping to shake off the strange UFO but the object seemed to just know where they were.
For a moment Stewart and his dog lost sight of the object.
Then suddenly it rose to approximately 50 feet in the air and hung there motionless for about a minute before thundering into the sky at what Stuart described as an unbelievable speed.
Then it was gone.
Shaking, yet feeling exhilarated from his experience, Stuart returned home with Nanook.
He informed me that he has told a few close friends and family and that most didn't believe his story.
However, I have no doubt - having spent quite some time interviewing him - that Stuart himself believes that he encountered something inexplicable that night at Cannock Chase...

Moonwalker, Outspoken UFO Enthusiast Ed Mitchell Dead At 85
Moonwalker, Outspoken UFO Enthusiast Ed Mitchell Dead At 85
In the news yesterday, not much was made of the passing of Edgar Mitchell, who walked on the moon in 1971. According to his family, Mitchell, 85, died in a Lake Worth, FL, hospice after a brief illness Feb. 4, the day before the 45-year anniversary of his lunar landing. Of the dozen humans who have walked on the moon, that leaves just seven still alive.

Two thoughts immediately come to mind about the relative lack of media interest. First, in a culture obsessed with fame and faux celebrity, perhaps Mitchell did not rise to the glib mediocrity of say, a Donald Trump, the Kardashians or a past Super Bowl ad. Then again maybe it was the fact that Mitchell, in addition to his stellar astronaut credentials, was outspoken about the controversial subject of UFOs. Ask any pilot or credible witness who has seen something – it is a no-no to report it.
In 1952 Mitchell earned a B.S. Then, while on active military duty he completed his M.S. at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and earned a Ph.D. in aeronautics and astronautics from MIT. In 1970, the former Korean War fighter pilot was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and, in 1997, inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame.
A few years back I had the privilege of chatting with Mitchell. To give a sense of what the man was about, following are selected edited excerpts. I found him thoughtful, modest and smart as a whip. He was brave, too – not only in his commitment to space exploration, but in a willingness to share his controversial views with the world.

Jim Clash: Was there much emotion when you became the sixth man on the moon?
Edgar Mitchell: Sure it was wonderful, we were pleased to do it and it was enjoyable to be among the first, but it was just part of a checklist we had practiced week after week at Cape Kennedy. We would go through the whole routine, modify it, rewrite it, modify it again until we were comfortable with the order. And, of course, our mission was to be the first to do science on the moon, so we had to be very careful about getting everything in during the allotted time. Apollo 11 and 12 were just to prove physically we could get [astronauts] down, and then back safely. Apollo 14 was to start doing science.
JC: You had a famous spiritual “moment” on your return to Earth.
EM: All I had to do then was monitor the spacecraft systems, which were functioning perfectly. I could lie back in weightlessness and watch the slow progress of the heavens. Suddenly I felt tuned into something much larger than myself, larger than the planet in the window – something incomprehensibly big. Even today, the perception baffles me. It wasn’t religious or otherworldly, nor was it new scientific understanding which I had suddenly become aware of. It was a pointer showing the direction toward greater understanding.

JC: What’s your knowledge of the famous 1947 Roswell incident?
EM: After my space flight, I was contacted by some descendants of the original Roswell observers, including the person who delivered the child-sized coffins to the Air Forceto contain the alien bodies. Another was one of the children of the deputy sheriff who was patrolling traffic around the site back then. There was also a military officer who was a friend of the families not involved in that particular operation but who did share office space there. They all seemed credible with their stories that the bodies were alien.
JC: If that’s the case, why do you believe it has been covered up?
EM: Initially, there was justification in that leadership officials thought the people weren’t ready to handle it. But I think we are well past that now. Frankly, and this is just a personal opinion, remember what [President Dwight D.] Eisenhower in his final speech said: “Beware the military industrial complex.” I suspect that’s what we’re talking about. But it’s not just the military. It’s a cabal of money and military organizations primarily for the profit motive. We invented aircraft at the beginning of the 20th century. Twenty years later, we had an airline industry. Think of what that could mean in terms of space travel with control of that [UFO] machinery, that technology. There’s a lot of money involved.
JC: Is it separate efforts within countries like the U.S, Russia, China, etc., or is it a worldwide cabal?
EM: I think it’s worldwide, but I have no way of proving that. It’s just speculation on my part.
What Neurologist Discovered With Alien Abductions Victims
What Neurologist Discovered With Alien Abductions Victims
eople claiming to have been abducted by aliens are considered mentally delusional. However, as stories of alien abduction become more and more mainstream, it is hard to dismiss the credibility of these alien abduction witnesses. The idea of aliens has been discussed for many years now by different persons. There are many researchers exploring the existence of ancient aliens and whether they have already visited our planet or not.
When asked about the possible delusion, Neurologist Dr. Michael B. Russo claimed he didn’t know what to say to his patients who shared their abduction stories. He said that the majority of the doctors of his current patients sent them because the latter complained of primary headaches or some neurological problems. But their physicians didn’t have any idea about their abduction stories not until Dr. Russo asked them about the duration of the problem. As part of his examination, Dr. Russo used his dense array electroencephalography, or DEEG, a machine worth $200,000. The machine maps the electrical activity in the brains of his patients. Russo wondered if there are similarities to patients complaining about being abducted with regards to brain wave activity.
According to his examination, those patients claiming to have been abducted by aliens have shown abnormalities in their parietal lobe brain wave activity. The electrical brain wave activities of abductee patients are similar to patients who experienced traumatic brain injury. He tries to look at the experiences as different based from his patients’ point of view and works with them to alleviate their problem.
When performing DEEG tests, patients often ask the possibility of interpreting or reading transmitter. Russo confirmed that he couldn’t see the wire, but he can see the brain signals. Russo has experienced success using pharmacological therapies in alleviating the headache pains. Russo will share his findings, which co-authored with Shane Endicott, Ryan Nillo, Melba C. Stetz, and Judith Profant on their upcoming meeting at the Hawaii Convention Center.
60 years after the publication of the second book of George Adamski called “Inside the Space Ships”, some still regard this experience as one of the most important contacts between humans and aliens.
