Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

A new study is showing that carbon from Mercury's original crust is the reason the planet looks so dark. Data from the MESSENGER mission further supports this.
You might be surprised to hear that the closest planet to the sun has an immensely dark surface. For a long time, Mercury’s lack of sunlight left scientists puzzled. The planet’s surface isn’t littered with iron-rich materials, known to be a darkening agent. So just what makesMercury so dim?
A new study from Johns Hopkins University claims the answer is carbon. The element has ancient origins from deep within the planet itself.

Questioning Comets
Patrick Peplowski, of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and his team used data from the MESSENGER mission to study the accumulation of carbon on Mercury. Prior to these studies, scientists proposed that the carbon came from comets that traveled into the inner Solar System.
Poplowski’s team came to a different conclusion. Rather than being delivered by comets, the carbon most likely originated deep below the surface, in the form of a now-disrupted and buried ancient graphite-rich crust, some of which was later brought to the surface by impact processes after most of Mercury’s current crust had formed.
Co-author and Deputy Principal Investigator of the MESSENGER mission, Carnegie’s Larry Nittler, explained: “The previous proposal of comets delivering carbon to Mercury was based on modelling and simulation. Although we had prior suggestions that carbon may be the darkening agent, we had no direct evidence. We used MESSENGER’s Neutron Spectrometer to spatially resolve the distribution of carbon and found that it is correlated with the darkest material on Mercury, and this material most likely originated deep in the crust. Moreover, we used both neutrons and X-rays to confirm that the dark material is not enriched in iron, in contrast to the Moon where iron-rich minerals darken the surface.”
MESSENGER obtained its statistically robust data via many orbits during its last year of operation. Repeated Neutron Spectrometer measurements showed higher amounts of low-energy neutrons, a signature consistent with the presence of elevated carbon, coming from the surface when the spacecraft passed over concentrations of the darkest material.
Figuring out exactly how much carbon was present required combining the neutron measurements with other MESSENGER datasets, including X-ray measurements and reflectance spectra.
Together, the data indicate that Mercury’s surface rocks are made up of as much as a few weight percent graphitic carbon, much higher than on other planets. Graphite has the best fit to the reflectance spectra, at visible wavelengths, and the likely conditions that produced the material.
The Original Ancient Crust
When Mercury was in its infancy, much of the planet most likely consisted of an “ocean” of molten magma. Scientists believe that, as this magma cooled, most minerals that solidified would sink. Graphite though, would have been buoyant and floated to form the original crust of Mercury.
“The finding of abundant carbon on the surface suggests that we may be seeing remnants of Mercury’s original ancient crust mixed into the volcanic rocks and impact ejecta that form thesurface we see today. This result is a testament to the phenomenal success of the MESSENGER mission and adds to a long list of ways the innermost planet differs from its planetary neighbors and provides additional clues to the origin and early evolution of the inner Solar System,” concluded Nittler.
Who are some of the leading UFO researchers who recognize that UFOs are an occultic and/or demonic phenomenon?

Volgens een Marsonderzoeker bepalen UFO’s hoeveel zonlicht en warmte onze planeet ontvangt. De ufoloog heeft op foto’s van de zonnesatelliet SOHO naar eigen zeggen UFO’s bij het oppervlak van de zon gespot, zo schrijft de Britse Daily Mail.
Russische wetenschappers zouden ‘zes tot zeven jaar geleden’ iets soortgelijks hebben gezien. “Mensen hebben recht op de waarheid die door NASA verborgen wordt gehouden,” schrijft Myunhauzen onder een video op zijn YouTube-kanaal. In het filmpje zijn foto’s van vreemde groene objecten te zien bij de zon.
“Ongeveer zes à zeven jaar las ik in een nieuwsbericht dat twee Russische wetenschappers hadden ontdekt dat er meerdere UFO’s rond de zon draaiden, 24 uur per dag, iedere dag,” schrijft Scott Waring op zijn website. “Ze zeiden dat de UFO’s plotseling scherpe bochten maakten zonder af te remmen.”
Hij legde uit dat het nieuwsartikel over de ontdekking ‘lang geleden is verdwenen’ van het internet, aldus de Daily Mail.
“Ze draaien rond onze zon. Joost mag weten wat ze doen,” schreef hij. “Het is mogelijk dat ze de zon beheersen om de temperatuur op aarde stabiel te houden of ze onttrekken een zeldzaam zwaar element aan de zon.”
Ieder jaar opnieuw gooien wij rond de negen miljoen ton plastic in de oceanen.
De meeste mensen denken dat als het eenmaal in het water ligt, dit afval vanzelf wel verdwijnt, maar ze hebben geen flauw idee wat er onderwater gebeurt.
Overal waar mensen zijn, vind je ook rommel. De twee gaan nu eenmaal hand in hand en nog steeds heerst er bij velen een mentaliteit van “na mij de zondvloed” en liggen ze er geen moment wakker van dat ze anderen en uiteindelijk ook zichzelf, opzadelen met hun troep.
De beroemde auteur Arthur C. Clark zei ooit, “Hoe fout eigenlijk om dit de planeet aarde te noemen, terwijl het duidelijk een oceaan is”.
Misschien als we de plek waar we wonen oceaan zouden noemen, zou de mensheid wat meer geïnteresseerd zijn in wat er onder het wateroppervlak allemaal gebeurt en merken dat er zich daar grote problemen afspelen.
Meer dan 97 procent van alle waterop deze planeet bevindt zich in de oceanen en biedt leven aan zo'n 80 procent van alle dier- en plantensoorten. Zonder de oceanen zou het leven zoals wij dat kennen, ophouden te bestaan.
Waar veel mensen bijvoorbeeld niet bij stilstaan is dat 70 procent van de zuurstof op aarde wordt geproduceerd door waterplanten.
Alle leven komt uit het water.De oceaan is de immer bewegende kracht in alle vitale levenscycli van deze aarde: ze bepaalt de temperatuur, de wind, de regen, de lucht die we inademen. Ze geeft ons voedsel en geneesmiddelen, transport, energie en uitgestrekte verten.
We hebben na de enorme ramp bij Fukushima al kunnen zien welke vernietigende effecten dit heeft veroorzaakt voor het leven in de Stille Oceaan, maar er is nóg een groot gevaar voor alle leven in de oceanen en dat is het plastic.
Ieder jaar opnieuw wordt er rond de negen miljoen ton (9 miljoen x 1000 kg = 9 miljard!) plastic afval in de oceanen gedumpt. Meestal eindigt deze troep op de bodem van de oceaan of wordt meegevoerd met stromingen.
Omdat je dit probleem boven het wateroppervlak niet ziet, bestaat het dus ook niet voor veel mensen.
Degenen die er wel mee worden geconfronteerd, zijn duikers. Zij zien wat er onder het wateroppervlak gebeurt en het zijn ook groepen duikers zoals die van Project Aware die de mensheid wakker willen schudden voor de rampzalige gevolgen van al dit plastic afval.
Ze hebben op hun website dan ook een fotocampagne georganiseerd die heet Onder de golven.

De duikers van Project Aware ruimen op wat ze kunnen, één vuilniszak per keer. En hoewel een mooi initiatief is het natuurlijk maar een druppel in de oceaan zolang wij daar die idiote hoeveelheden plastic in blijven gooien.

I remember reading long ago that the US was testing an alien built craft in the UK. They called it the Aurora project. Yes this could be an alien spacecraft, but the likelihood of it being USAF is even higher. Also the fact that he said the UFO sounded like a thousand hoovers. This is odd, the propulsion of a alien craft is often silent, unless this sound was made by the craft being damaged, or rebooting or sorts if struck by lightening. News states: A pensioner has captured a picture of a UFO which he claims hovered near his home for a few minutes before vanishing. The aircraft, which bears a striking resemblance to the alien spacecraft from the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind, was said to have been snapped over Rossie Ochil, Perthshire. John Macdonald, 65, from Dysart, Fife, is convinced he saw a spaceship above him and said it was only around 50 to 70 yards away from him. He said: 'It's definitely a space craft of some sort. 'I don't know whether I frightened it or not with the flash of the camera, because in the beat of a heart it was gone.' It happened at around 11pm last Sunday, when he was driving home after visiting a friend. He described how the noise drowned out the sound of his jeep. 'My jeep is quite noisy, but this sounded like a thousand hoovers. 'When I phoned my friend, who's a shepherd, he said 'don't worry about it, we get this up here quite a lot'. One suggestion is that the mysterious flying object, which looks like the spacecraft in the Stephen Spielberg's science fiction hit movie, could have been a drone. But the Civil Aviation Authority said, although it was possible to fly a drone in darkness, it would make managing to control such a craft much more difficult. A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority said: 'It's possible to fly a drone in darkness, but you have to keep it in your line of sight at all times. This could be some of the alien tech being moved out of Area S4, part of Area 51. Its a well known fact that lots of new tech the USAF gets is tested there, especially the anti gravity types like the TR3B and some disks. This looks like one of those secret projects. There are black vehicles behind it, but the eyewitness says they are the Department of Safety patrol trucks. For the USAF to be transporting it and not flying it, means this is the newest alien tech. Witness report:I saw a UFO, in fact not one, but 5 of them. MUFON is going to be posting my sighting, so I wanted you all to hear it all first hand from me before it is posted worldwide! It was a few nights ago about 8:30 PM. The sky was clear dark and with bright stars. My son and were loading a trailer by the side of our driveway. The next thing I saw, was my son saying do you see that? I turned and looked over my shoulder and coming over the road by my house where two extremely large aircrafts/UFO’s. Each one was the size of 747 jumbo jet following one another in tandem only about 75 feet apart just clearing the tree tops going about 80 miles per hour. They were in the shape of a triangle or boomerang. The UFO’s were banking sharp right going Southeast and downward toward Lake Gentry. The 2 crafts were only approximately 150 feet above the ground. We thought they were going to crash into the lake because they went down below the tree line at an extreme angle. We saw or heard no explosion or crash, and yet we never saw the UFO’s never came back up! Then a few minutes later two more crafts came and did the same exact thing! Same size and everything, WOW! The first four crafts each had very large bright red lights on the tip of each corner with a bright white light in the front. We both ran in the house and told my wife, and were going out to Lake Gentry to see if the indeed did crash. I had my camera at this time and was getting into our car. Just at that point another craft, UFO slightly smaller, came directly over my house going so slow that it enabled me to get out of my car and turn my camera on. The photo you see is what I took. I was so stunned at the time I was having a hard time, fumbling doing the process of turning my camera on quickly. It took me about 45 seconds to 1 minute at least for me to set up this picture. The 5th UFO had white lights only, three of them. Each bright white light was on a corner point. This craft was also in the shape of a triangle boomerang. Again it was banking sharply south east and going down into Lake Gentry never coming up! After all of the excitement we pulled out of our driveway and there were other people stopped by the side of the road totally stunned asking us if we saw what they saw, and of course we said yes! The craft was approximately 600 yards away when I finally took the picture. Please look at the reflections off of my cars and you can see how big the craft was. Also the lights in the photo were not blurred by movement. You can see this by the cars they are not blurry. If you look close you can see small lights in the white lights. They kind of look like little LED’s/little dots in the lights The angle of the lights are the same angle the UFO’s were banking at. The daytime photo shows how low the UFO’s actually were. The cars were not moved in the exact same place as the night before. These crafts also were flying in a no fly zone, under the commercial flight entrance only 12 miles away from Orlando International Airport going the opposite direction of the airports landing routs. Some people try to search for proofs that would make UFO as an idle fancy. They attempt to explain the phenomena with the help of graphs, weather problems, statistics charts, and other evidence. However, the facts are more significant. Enthusiast and researchers affirm that the flying object existed and was under the control of intelligent creations.
On February 28 around 11 pm, John Macdonald, a 65-year-old pensioner, was driving home right after visiting his friend’s house. Minutes after, he heard strange noises like a thousand hoovers. He captured the odd object in a form of strange lights soaring in the sky near his hometown in Perthshire. If not with the beat that sounds similar to thousand hoovers, he would not notice the strange lights. As it hovered, he managed to capture the aerial object that bears a resemblance to a flying saucer. Minutes after, it suddenly disappeared in front of his eyes. The disappearance of the object made him think whether or not he frightened the object with the flashes of his camera.
The 65-year-old man from Dysart firmly believes that he saw an alien space aircraft around Rossie Ochil in Perth. John estimates he was 50 to 70 yards from the object when he took his picture. According to Civil Aviation Authority, flying in a drone of darkness would make it difficult to manage. The vision has to be on the line of sight. Those people who do not want to admit the existence of the aliens, offer such facts and proofs of their opinion. First, the people are always ready to believe in strange and unusual things. They are looking for unexpected events and things. Second, nothing can fly in the air without the permission of the government. The personnel of the airports have full instructions in the case of unexpected and unusual situations, so the uncontrollable objects cannot fly in the air. However, everything is possible even if the people are not ready to believe their eyes and ears.

An Omaha, Nebraska police officer, reported seeing a slow moving triangular UFO below 500 feet in the sky at a local Walmart store.
The police officer was on duty patrolling near Walmart when he noticed something strange above. He claimed to have seen a triangle-shaped unidentified flying object at 5:38 p.m. on 13th of January 2016.
According to the witness testimony filed as case 74492 in Mutual UFO Network witness reporting database, he knew right away that it was an unusual encounter when he first saw the UFO. The witness said the object, which has three bright lights, moved slowly for several seconds and then vanished in the night sky.
The witness included two sketches in his report, which was filed on 23 February 2016. The case is under investigation. It was assigned to Frederick Zewe, a MUFON field investigator in Nebraska.
One of the sketches shows a representation of the area where the police officer spotted the bizarre object. The other one is a detailed illustration of the triangular object that was spotted over Omaha.
Most UFO sightings can be something man-made or natural. The conclusion of the investigation will help the public weigh in the authenticity of the report.

A man believes that he videotapes a UFO that uses advanced camouflage technology while flying through storm clouds. YouTube user SAUFOTX was sitting in a parked car when he took the video in San Antonio, Texas.
In the video, the object appears to travel through the sky on an overcast morning in February. The witness was observing the clouds after a heavy storm had passed when he noticed a mysterious looking cloud. He decided to take a photo of it using an LG cell phone.
He saw a saucer-shaped UFO that was moving erratically. The witness uses top of the buildings as reference points. When zooming in, he made out a glow and a shadow underneath the aerial thing. Upon checking the video, he had come to the conclusion that he had seen a massive UFO with a camouflage technology.
However, some viewers of the video don’t agree as they think the object is just a drop of water on a windshield. Similar comments say that the suspicious object was just a drop of rain on the window. Others go on to say that the YouTube user just wants attention so badly that he decides to invent a UFO story.
Here’s a new video of a two bright unidentified flying objects hovering in the sky above Ontario in Canada. One of the objects then disappears into the clouds. This happened on 21st February 2016.
Witness report:Hello, On February 21, 2016 at around 5:50 PM I witnessed 3 UFO’s hovering outside. The sighting happen in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada it was a very cloudy day, and the sun was setting at the west. I was in my bedroom about to turn on my PlayStation 4 that is located along my bedroom wall next to a large modern window with the blinds pulled up, As I turned on my PS4 I looked outside to see 3 bright objects in the sky hovering beside each other in a strange formation. At first I thought I was looking at airplanes/helicopters with their headlights turned on but their was no movement, after a few seconds maybe 6-9 seconds one UFO at the very top started blinking randomly, few seconds later the middle UFO dissapered and reappeared in the same exact spot it was in, I called my mom over who was in the kitchen to show her and she did not know what it could be… After a few more seconds 2 UFO’s started blinking but very slowly and stopped, the 3rd UFO is slightly hard to see in the video the 3rd UFO is almost like transparent slightly visible, So I pulled out my IPad Air 2 and started recording. 3 seconds into the recording and the UFO’s started disappearing one by one. After the UFO’s disappeared into the clouds (which is what it looked like) I looked into the sky all around me inside my bedroom window to notice anything unusual and everything looked normal like always. I went back to review the video and noticed a 4th UFO along the right side above the tall middle tree, that 4th UFO must have appeared and disappeared at the same time the last UFO on the left side disappeared. I did not see the 4th UFO when I was recording the other 3 UFO’s on the left side disappear on my IPad screen. I have no idea how high and how far away the UFO’s were, possibly hovering 2-5K feet high… The UFO’s looked VERY large. I did not hear any strange noises or any aircraft engines, Cars were driving on the road so perhaps that is why. The color of the UFO’s was a yellow/orange almost like car lights. I have footage of the event and I uploaded it on YouTube, one person has said it was a drone but that is the most idiotic comment I have heard. It what could soon be called "Cloudgate," "leaked" emails appear to discuss structures in Pluto's already hazy atmosphere as clouds, based on a March 4 article in New Scientist.
The picture above shows sections of an image attached to an email sent by Southwest Research Institute scientist John Spencer, in which he noted particularly bright areas in Pluto’s atmosphere within a New Horizons image.
"In the first image an extremely bright low altitude limb haze above south-east Sputnik on the left, and a discrete fuzzy cloud seen against the sunlit surface above Krun Macula (I think) on the right," Spencer wrote.
While it was quickly determined after New Horizons' July 2015 flyby that Pluto is enveloped in a complex atmosphere comprising layers of blue-tinted haze, individual clouds couldn’t be resolved. That may have changed as high-resolution data continues to arrive on Earth from the still-moving spacecraft, now 1.9 AU — or approximately 180 million miles — past Pluto.
Unlike clouds on Earth, Plutonian clouds wouldn't be composed of water — they would likely be made of particles of nitrogen ice along with methane and other compounds.
Clouds are different from haze in that haze is a very diffuse and widespread suspension of particles while clouds are more concentrated and regional, and usually much less long-lived.
If this is true this would be the first time actual clouds have been identified on Pluto, although no official confirmation or findings have yet been announced or published by either the New Horizons team or NASA.
Forecasters had predicted a solar storm and good conditions for Aurora Borealis, and sightings of green, pink, purple, red and yellow lights were reported for several hours from about 20:00 GMT.
Donna Butcher, from Staveley, Cumbria, tweeted to say she had been watching an "amazing display" with "shafts of light streaming directly towards Polaris".

Met Office space weather adviser Amanda Townsend said a "lucky combination" of conditions had made for a fantastic display.
"Once in a while the solar winds are enhanced to levels stronger than normal, with particles at higher speeds, and on this occasion it has connected really well with the Earth's magnetic field," she said.

The strongest part of the geomagnetic storm has now passed, meaning glimpses of the Aurora Borealis are likely to be available only to those in northern England and Scotland on Monday night.

We're still a long way from the teleportation machines of sci-fi movies becoming a reality, but assuming the technology is one day invented, how will our bodies react to being beamed from one point in space to another?
That's the question being asked by neuroscientists at the University of California, Davis, and they've focused specifically on whether the human brain is ready for teleportation.
The answer, as Motherboard reports, is pretty much a yes. It seems that our brains can retain certain navigational information, even when all the live inputs 'go dark' – in other words, the brain isn't completely frazzled by hopping from one place to another. Of course, the researchers couldn't use a teleportation machine, but they were able to build a computer simulation to accurately convey the experience of using such a device.
Every time we move around, there are certain rhythmic brain patterns that appear, and those patterns also show up when we move through virtual space on a computer. So, by putting together a VR teleportation experience, the team was able to get a good idea of how a real-life teleporter might affect us.
Three epilepsy patients who already had brain-monitoring electrodes implanted in their brains (to monitor for signs of seizure) were chosen to take part in the study.
These neural oscillations continued during simulated teleportation, which suggests that our navigational awareness might remain functioning while we're teleported. That's a big deal, because that theory runs contrary to most neurological models.
"The idea that vestibular/proprioceptive [sensory] input is fundamental to how we code space has dominated in the field of spatial navigation for several decades," Arne Ekstrom, the lead author of the study, told Motherboard's Michael Byrne. "Our results fundamentally challenge this viewpoint and thus require revision of models we have assumed this to be correct for quite some time."
Amazingly, the rhythmic patterns varied depending on how far the subjects were teleported: the researchers think our brains might fall back on some kind of memory-related spatial coding that kicks in when we don't have live information about our surroundings to draw upon.
When the tests were repeated without the teleporter simulation, the hippocampal oscillations diminished, as you would expect. So the next question to answer is what data those oscillations contain.
We should point out that this study uses a very small sample size and involves a specific type of person - those who already have an epilepsy condition - but what's interesting is that all three volunteers showed the same brain patterns during the test, and it's an intriguing foundation for future studies to build on.
The group's work has now been published in the journal Neuron.
CIA files, which appear to be a top secret from the 1950s, reportedly expose an explosive truth about alien UFOs visiting Earth.
The documents have details of encounters with flying saucers and aliens. Stunned witnesses describe unusual craft moving fast through the skies. Others mention meetings with shadowy figures or noises in space.
If proven true, the accounts are as incredible as, or even more amazing than the alleged alien crash at Roswell.
The 1952 file includes Oskar Linke’s sworn testimony. Linke was the mayor of Gleimershausen in Germany. He claimed to have spotted two entities in shiny metallic clothing, and one of the two had a glowing lamp on his body.
Next to the two was a massive object that resembled a huge frying pan, which the two climbed when Oskar’s daughter called out to him.
He said the object ascended in a horizontal position, turned toward a neighbouring town, and then vanished above the heights and forests.
He went to the place where the object had been when he saw it. He was surprised to discover a circular opening in the ground that seemed to be freshly dug.
The file indicates that many other residents in the same area later claimed they saw a comet-like object at the time.
Another file from the same year depicts two fiery disks lurking above a uranium mine, which was then the Belgian Congo.
The two mysterious things glided in elegant curves, the witness described. It then made a stop in mid-air and took off in a zig-zag manner.
Commander Pierre flew after the disks from an airfield in Elisabethville, now known as Lubumbashi. Pierre, who was known to be a dependable airman, estimated their speed to be around 900mph. He also provided a sketch of the two UFOs.
One more report from that year is from May, which involved a bizarre object that emitted flashes of light over Barcelona. Valentin Garcia, the journalist witness, said his office was flooded with many phone calls from people who claimed to see the same object.
Several different witnesses reported similar sightings above Casblanca in Morocco, Algiers in Tunisia, Meknes, and Taorirt.
