US Army’s Top General says ‘Hybrid Armies’ and ‘Little Green Men’ are Future Threats
In an article posted on Army Times, the United States Army’s top general said Thursday as he marked the 100th anniversary of the ROTC program at Norwich University, that “If the world if 1916 was complex, or the world of 1945 was complex, the world of 2016 is intensely complex, and I can tell you that from personal experience,” he said. “You’ll be dealing with terrorists, you’ll be dealing with hybrid armies, you’ll be dealing with little green men, you’ll be dealing with tribes, you’re going to be dealing with it all, and you’re going to be dealing with it simultaneously.”
In today's political atmosphere, UFOs/UAPs and alien life are terms no longer considered political suicide when giving talking points to crowds of thousands. While some political figures have simply hinted that they believe in the possibility of aliens, others have come right out and proclaimed it to be true, while he main stream media seems to simply over look it all.
With John Podesta and Hillary Clinton charging out front on governmental disclosure of information regarding UFOs/UAPs there is a growing list of political leaders who have expressed their beliefs just as well. In a 2014 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, former president Bill Clinton said that he "wouldn't be surprised" if aliens visited the earth.
Former Governor of Arizona Fife Symington has not only publicly shared his belief in aliens, but also claims to have been part of an encounter. The governor said he was a witness to the "Phoenix Lights" in 1997, an incident which many believed to be a large grouping of UFOs hovering in the Phoenix sky. Symington also said that unless it can be proven otherwise, he thinks the lights were "probably some form of alien spacecraft."
In a speech to the United Nations in 1987, Reagan said an alien invasion would unify the world. "Perhaps we need some outside universal threat to make us recognize this common bond," he said. "I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.", and this is just to name a few however, when talking about active military heads discussing extraterrestrials on the record in any capacity is rare if ever, not anymore.
Last Thursday, the Army’s top general, speaking to future leaders of the military said we will be facing hybrid Armies and little green men all at the same time, so what does this mean exactly? Is the US Military engaging in 'Force Readiness' for an alien invasion? Is this another de'facto admission that the government knows more than they have disclosed to the people regarding alien life here on Earth?
In 2016, with Presidential Candidates and Top Military Brass all talking about UFO and ETs one thing is for certain, the bread crumbs are turning into loafs and one can only imagine what comes next. Stay tuned, its going to get real interesting in the coming months.

Billionaire investor Paul Allen has unveiled a new company, Stratolauch Systems, to provide private rocket launches into Earth orbit from a giant aerial launch platform made up of the biggest airplane in history. The novel launch system will use a giant twin-boom airplane with a wingspan longer than a football field and launch a rocket and space capsule designed by the private spaceflight company SpaceX. See how the Stratolaunch system stacks up in the SPACE.com infographic above.
Prof. dr. Wubbo J. Ockels is a Dutch physicist, and also the Netherlands original astronaut. He is a Professor of Aerospace Sustainable Engineering and Technology at the University of Delft, and tries to stimulate a mentality change among Dutch citizens. In his mind-bending TEDxAmsterdam talk, Ockels explains how time is created by human beings, as a way our brains can make sense of gravity. The speed of light is constant, because it is made by us: its the clock by which we have calibrated our existence. Based on this premise, Ockels proposes a new way to explore life in our galaxy.
Last week, a plethora of documents pertaining to the US and Britain’s involvement in the War on Terror in Afghanistan was released by the controversial WikiLeaks organization. This has led to much speculation… even in the absence of any tremendous amount of new or otherwise clandestine information the documents were expected to provide.
In the aftermath, some look at the release of information in the military documents as evidence of crimes against humanity; others question whether releasing the names of Afghan operatives who have helped in the counter-insurgency and otherwise aided US forces was wise. But there are a few angles that haven’t been explored; one which comes to mind is how this disclosure might have predictive elements that could outline what future disclosure of UFO documents might be like in the United States.
People in the UFO community have long speculated about what would be necessary to get the United States government to hand over secret documents it is alleged to have pertaining to UFOs. Although there is little question about the fact that there have been some secrets kept over the years, something that is far too often overlooked is the fact that a variety of government agencies have already released previously-classified documents pertaining to UFOs. Among these you can expect to find the CIA, who has a host of them uploaded to their website already and free for the average Joe to browse at his leisure.
But what does this have to do with WikiLeaks? It’s really pretty simple: in spite of a few minor revelations, there was little released with the disclosure of US military documents last week that most media sources didn’t already know, and nothing particularly ground-breaking or traumatic. If the US government were to release its secret UFO files tomorrow, by week’s end UFO truthers, debunkers, journalists, technophiles and insomniacs would have all the relevant details appraised and uploaded in various places; my prediction, however, is that, again, little would be revealed that we don’t already know.
This point is driven even closer to home when we consider how various governments around the world, having released their UFO documents, have little to show for it other than a few new reports, which could be gauged alongside information that has been available to the public for years already. Many foreign nations have maintained such documents, and yet they’ve remained largely unaware of the the intricacies of what exactly UFOs are, or for that matter, what kind of dangers they may present. Why should we assume the US has been keeping information the rest wouldn’t already have? Citing things like UFO crashes (Roswell) wouldn’t be enough justification, since this sort of phenomenon hasn’t been exclusive to American soil, either.
The end result here, rather than to say that UFOs don’t exist, is to accept just the opposite as a stark reality… in addition to the slightly disconcerting notion that governing bodies around the world, in spite of their official interests in the matter, may know less than many of the experts in the field do already. This has been the case with other countries who released UFO files, and it was very similar with WikiLeaks more recently. Could we really expect the ultimate disclosure of UFOs in America to play out on a different stage?

Eyes Only: How the CIA Kept Tabs on a Civilian UFO Research Group
Eyes Only: How the CIA Kept Tabs on a Civilian UFO Research Group
As most of us know by now, the CIA has indeed kept tabs on the UFO problem in the past, particularly during the 1950s and 60s. This is common knowledge for most these days, particularly thanks to the PR staff at the CIA, and what might be viewed as a “cooperative promotional effort” on their part in advance of the recent X-Files reboot. Namely, the CIA featured a number of their previously declassified UFO files on a page at their website, leading many media outlets to proclaim that the the CIA had “just released its UFO files.”
Not so fast. The files in question had actually been released back in 1978, as their website states. “The CIA declassified hundreds of documents in 1978 detailing the Agency’s investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs),” the statement reads. “The documents date primarily from the late 1940s and 1950s.” That, of course, didn’t keep the press from jumping and running with a host of cheerfully misleading headlines about the sudden release of the CIA’s “real X-Files”.
Many historians would actually assert that the closest thing to “real” X-Files would actually have been the US Air Force’s Project Blue Book, which oversaw the official collection of UFO reports by government until 1968. Despite being a “legitimate” government UFO study, Blue Book left a lot to be desired, resulting in dissatisfaction from many involved, including the project’s former science advisor, J. Allen Hynek. In fact, Hynek’s dissatisfaction with Blue Book’s handling of UFO reports led him to believe that some other organization may have been receiving and studying a number of UFO reports, altogether bypassing the Air Force and its operations. “There were many times during my twenty years as a scientific consultant to Blue Book,” Hynek wrote in 1977, “that I also wondered whether the very best reports were being kept from Blue Book.”
In likelihood, there were a number of different agencies that were keeping tabs on the UFO subject, and as we have already established, the CIA had indeed been one. More specifically, the CIA’s Office of Scientific Intelligence (OSI) and its Office of Current Intelligence (OCI) became the departments that oversaw the CIA’s secret UFO inquiry. At the urging of Weapons and Equipment Division head Edward Tauss, the CIA’s UFO study group was advised to keep its interest in UFOs under wraps, “in view of [the public’s] probable alarmist tendencies.” In other words, it was believed that the CIA’s role in UFO research, if made public, might result in legitimization of the phenomenon, and thus actually encourage belief in it.
Former CIA Chief Historian Gerald K. Haines covered this period in his essay, “CIA’s Role in the Study of UFOs, 1947-90: A Die-Hard Issue” (the article can be read at the CIA’s website). Haines noted that the CIA’s initial report on UFOs prompted Robert Amory, Jr, then Deputy Director for Intelligence, to appoint further UFO studies to the OSI’s Physics and Electronics Division, with A. Ray Gordon in charge during this period. Among the aims and objectives of the CIA’s UFO studies during this time, it was hoped that the relevant OSI divisions could, “coordinate the intelligence effort required to solve the problem.” Haines further notes that, “[Walter B.] Smith also wanted to know what use could be made of the UFO phenomenon in connection with US psychological warfare efforts.”
This is a particularly interesting statement. Rather than suggesting an indirect relationship between world affairs and UFO sightings, employing wording along the lines of “what role the UFO phenomenon may have played in connection with US psychological warfare efforts” (or something to that effect), Haines’ historical overview of the CIA’s internal UFO studies suggests it might have hoped to exploit UFOs. One might consider that a funny thing for an agency to want to do, amidst taking such great care not to appear to be too interested in the subject in question!
Haines goes on to summarize the cooperative effort between the CIA and the USAF, and how the CIA’s concealment of their operations would later help fuel accusations of a coverup:
[T]he CIA Study Group met with Air Force officials at Wright-Patterson and reviewed their data and findings. The Air Force claimed that 90 percent of the reported sightings were easily accounted for. The other 10 percent were characterized as “a number of incredible reports from credible observers.” The Air Force rejected the theories that the sightings involved US or Soviet secret weapons development or that they involved “men from Mars”; there was no evidence to support these concepts. The Air Force briefers sought to explain these UFO reports as the misinterpretation of known objects or little understood natural phenomena. Air Force and CIA officials agreed that outside knowledge of Agency interest in UFOs would make the problem more serious. This concealment of CIA interest contributed greatly to later charges of a CIA conspiracy and coverup.
Returning to J. Allen Hynek, the former Blue Book advisor had written about his suspicions of involvement by parties outside the USAF in 1977 — one year prior to the first batch of UFO files being released by the CIA. While they may not have been theonly other group involved (Stanton Friedman has, for instance, frequently referred to the UFO files kept by the NSA), it is clear that the CIA very well may have been behind some of these operations, of which Hynek had maintained such suspicions.
Hynek wasn’t alone, however. Jim and Coral Lorenzen, founders of the Wisconsin-based Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO), had long suspected control from a party outside the Air Force, and had even gone so far as to specify their feeling that this agency was the CIA. In their book UFOs Over the Americas, the Lorenzens devoted an entire chapter to possible CIA involvement in UFO studies, in which they wrote the following:
In Flying Saucer Occupants we presented the dual hypothesis the CIA is conducting an undercover intelligence gathering program relating to UFO phenomenon, and that, for intelligent reasons, it has been for sixteen-odd years the architect of Project Blue Book (the Air Force investigation project on UFOs) and the general Air Force public information policy–the latter being a “cover” program designed to hide the fact that the former exists.
The Lorenzens offered nine points, as featured in their aforementioned previous publication Flying Saucer Occupants, which gave their rational for why the CIA had likely been involved in UFO research at that time (something that, to reiterate, wouldn’t become public knowledge for a number of years). Later in the chapter, they also share a rather telling story about how one of the early members of their fledgling organization had seemingly been spying on them, possibly in conjunction with the kind of CIA surveillance they had suspected.
This individual, a man who had purportedly worked hard to steer the Lorenzens toward metaphysical interpretations of the UFO phenomenon early on, had sent a letter to them dated February 22, 1953, which Coral read, and “flipped it into a file basket on her desk.” Doing so allowed the light to hit the paper in just such a way that faint depressions from the typing of an earlier document (which had been typed on a separate sheet of paper, using this one as a platen) were revealed; in particular, Coral had seen her own name illuminated on the document! Rubbing lightly over the impressions with a soft lead pencil revealed the beginning of “an abbreviated intelligence report”, and after confronting this individual about the apparent memo he had written about Coral, he claimed it was merely something he did “to formalize his feelings about people he met and to define his impressions and that it was strictly a report for his own files.”
Needless to say, this wouldn’t be the best of ways to gain the confidence of others, whether then, or now. The Lorenzens went on to note the possible (or likely?) connection this man had to the CIA, further noting how the CIA-sponsored Robertson Panel later in 1953 would go on to name the APRO specifically among organizations that should be watched “because of their potentially great influence on mass thinking if widespread sightings should occur.”
As we have examined throughout this article, the CIA’s past involvement with UFO research is well established by now. UFO researchers like J. Allen Hynek suspected the involvement of parties outside the USAF early on, and the Lorenzens and APRO managed to take their assessments so far as to specifically name the CIA amidst their similar suspicions. Whether or not they had been the “architects” behind the USAF’s Project Blue Book, we certainly know that the CIA’s study group was meeting with Air Force officials at Wright Patterson AFB, hence proving that the two groups were in communication on the subject of UFOs.
“Certainly APRO has been watched,” the Lorenzens would conclude. “And, probably, other UFO groups as well.” The words of Joseph Heller come to mind here, where he famously quipped, “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.” A true statement indeed, and the APRO affair is no doubt only one of many instances where the CIA — and probably other groups as well — have kept tabs on civilian UFO groups for various reasons.

The Weird Tale of the Man Who Discovered “Gravity Shielding” UFO-like Technologies
The Weird Tale of the Man Who Discovered “Gravity Shielding” UFO-like Technologies
Eugene Podkletnov was, and still is, an enigma. As far as one can tell today, he never worked as a physicist in any official capacity; if anything, the Russian inventor was an engineer by trade — albeit a good one — whose most controversial discovery would be uncovered by mere happenstance.
Regardless of how it happened, in 1992 the the materials science laboratories at Tampere University of Technology in Hervanta, Finland, would become home to a discovery of great intrigue — and great controversy. It remains one that, according to some, may yet shed light on the propulsion technologies behind many reports of UFOs.
Evgeny “Eugene” Podkletnov was born in Russia, and before immigrating temporarily to Finland, had worked to receive his master’s degree at the University of Chemical Technology at Russia’s prestigious 130-year-old Mendeleev Institute in Moscow, before spending more than a decade at the Institute for High Temperatures with the Russian Academy of Sciences. His professional work with Tampere University would begin with the attainment of his doctorate in materials science, a path which led him into studies and testing with various superconductors.
While observing one particular superconductor experiment in 1992, Podkletnoy began to notice something strange; at the time, he felt it might even be a clue to unraveling the secrets of learning to defy gravity altogether. More specifically, while observing a rotating ceramic superconducting disc, Podkletnov noticed that when positioned in close proximity to electromagnets below the disc, the effect of gravity on objects being suspended above it seemed to lessen.
Journalist Charles Platt wrote of the incident in a Wired feature back in 1996, saying that:
“Small objects above the disc seemed to lose weight, as if they were being shielded from the pull of Planet Earth. The weight reduction was small–around 2 percent–but nothing like this had ever been observed before.”
The above statement is correct, at least for the most part. While nothing known to science had proven capable of so much as appearing to lessen the effects of gravity prior to Podkletnov’s experiment, the French physicist Francois Dominique Arago had discovered as far back as 1824 that “a magnet placed near a rotating metallic disc experiences a force tending to make it follow the motion of the disc,” and that furthermore, a needle placed in a fixed position above a spinning copper disc, rather than being allowed to pivot freely, would actually hinder movement of the disc.
In short, something about the movement of a spinning disc, particularly in relation to magnets in close proximity to it, tends to warrant strange observable effects; indeed, Arago had previously recorded that the effects of Earth’s magnetic pull were lessenedon small objects when a metallic disc began to spin from beneath in such a way.
Much like those of Arago, Podkletnov’s observations had been fascinating, though resulting from chance. Recalling the circumstances in his phone conversation with Platt, he described that his curiosity began while noting the strange behavior of pipe smoke, as it began to collect above the spinning superconductor:
“Someone in the laboratory was smoking a pipe, and the pipe smoke rose in a column above the superconducting disc. So we placed a ball-shaped magnet above the disc, attached to a balance. The balance behaved strangely. We substituted a nonmagnetic material, silicon, and still the balance was very strange. We found that any object above the disc lost some of its weight, and we found that if we rotated the disc, the effect was increased.”
In a scientific paper that would follow, Podkletnov would claim that the superconductor was actually managing to serve as nothing less than a physical shield against the Earth’s gravitational field, lessening the apparent weight of the object by as much as 2%. The idea, in theory, could be applied to a wide array of different technologies, although in terms of helping achieve greater lifting efficiency for aerial vehicles (and thus saving energy), the discovery, if valid, could have pointed to an all new field of avionics.
Interesting enough to the researcher of anomalous aerial phenomenon is the curious persistence of the metallic disc, especially in relation to the presence of odd physical effects levied against magnetism and gravity. Could it be that a disc–or as some might call it, a saucer–might really be the most efficient shape to be afforded an aircraft capable propelling itself against the forces of gravity?
In a rather revealing statement made by Podkletnov in 1997, the engineer, now claiming to be working with a chemical laboratory based out of Moscow, gave the resolute Mr. Platt an intriguing update to this story; he claimed that in building a new device based on the earlier observations at Tampere, he had now developed a variation on the new technology that could reflect gravitational waves… and in such a way that might eventually become conducive to new kinds of flight which are akin to that of UFO craft:
“Under specific conditions, applying resonating fields and composite superconducting coatings, we can organize the energy discharge in such a way that it goes through the center of the electrode, accompanied by gravitation phenomena–reflecting gravitational waves that spread through the walls and hit objects on the floors below, knocking them over…The second generation of flying machines will reflect gravity waves and will be small, light, and fast, like UFOs.”
Of course, extraordinary claims require facts and justification in equal measure, and the bold announcement that true “anti-gravity” had been attained drew sharp criticism for Podkletnov’s claims. The same year as his second Wired interview, the engineer withdrew a second paper he had submitted for peer review, claiming that the biased attitudes of a so-called “gravity establishment” had effectively thwarted his credibility, both in the scientific community, as well as at his alma mater; Tampere had allegedly banned him from his own laboratory, and hence he finally retreated back to Moscow to find work.
Despite the controversy surrounding Podkletnov’s claims, companies like Boeing, as well as the American Space Agency, NASA, would allegedly begin taking serious interest in what the engineer had claimed to do. A BBC report from 2002 would later state that Boeing had in fact begun to get involved in anti gravity research:
[D]ocuments obtained by Jane’s Defence Weekly and seen by the BBC show that Boeing is taking Dr Podkletnov’s research seriously. The hypothesis is being tested in a programme codenamed Project Grasp. Boeing is the latest in a series of high-profile institutions trying to replicate Dr Podkletnov’s experiment. The military wing of the UK hi-tech group BAE Systems is working on an anti-gravity programme, dubbed Project Greenglow. The US space agency, NASA, is also attempting to reproduce Dr Podkletnov’s findings, but a preliminary report indicates the effect does not exist.
Boeing later refuted the claims, and denied having any involvement, while admitting (rather strangely) that, if they were to be questioned about anything secret or clandestine, they would be forced to deny it anyway.
Only a handful of other instances would come to light in more recent years, where any attempts at replicating the effects first observed by Podkcetnov were undertaken. One American company, while apparently under-equipped for the tests in Podkletnov’s estimation (following a visit by the controversial engineer to their facilities), nonetheless were alleged to have been “silenced”, according to Podkletnov, due to the ongoing repression leveled by the “Gravity Establishment.” And yet, even with its conspiratorial overtones, it does begin to seem with time that there could be something more to it all; and furthermore, that the difficulties Podkletnov had seen while attempting to secure peer review and other serious academic interest had indeed been squelched by certain members of the so-called “establishment” that he so often spoke of. If anything, this scenario would run almost eerily congruent to what we already know to have happened during the Project Blue Book years with regard to UFOs: officialdom was encouraged to play down or outright debunk UFO reports, based on some strange set of motives which remain quite elusive to this day.
Thus, maybe it’s no surprise, when we consider the parallels that even Podkletnov himself made between his potential discoveries, and existing UFO phenomenon. Could it actually be that for largely the same reasons that UFOs have been given such poor treatment over the last several decades, Podkletnov also suffered at the hands of elitists driving a hidden agenda… and a grouping of people in upper echelons of government (or elsewhere) who likely already know the incredible benefits of antigravity technologies?
Former American President Dwight D. Eisenhower had three secret meetings with aliens, a former US government consultant has claimed. The 34th President of the United States met the extra terrestrials at a remote air base in New Mexico in 1954, according to lecturer and author Timothy Good. Eisenhower and other FBI officials are said to have organised the showdown with the space creatures by sending out ‘telepathic messages’.
‘Aliens have made both formal and informal contact with thousands of people throughout the world from all walks of life,’ he added. Asked why the aliens don’t go to somebody ‘important’ like Barack Obama, he said: ‘Well, certainly I can tell you that in 1954, President Eisenhower had three encounters, set up meetings with aliens, which took place at certain Air Force bases including Holloman Air Force base in New Mexico.’ He added that there were ‘many witnesses’. Eisenhower, who was president from 1953 to 1961, is known to have had a strong belief in life on other planets.
The Cowboys–Steelers is the NFL rivalry. The Dallas Cowboys are an American football team in the Dallas–Fort Worth. The team is a member of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. Headquartered in Valley Ranch in Texas, they will move to Frisco in 2016. The Pittsburgh Steelers are another American professional football team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, the team belongs to the North Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. The Steelers, founded in 1933, are the oldest AFC franchise. The Steelers have stayed competitive ever since and won two more Super Bowls but lose one. Since Super Bowl XXX, the Cowboys were not back to the Super Bowl and had won three playoff games from 1996 onwards.
While the Cowboys and Steelers provided a lot of memorable plays on the field throughout their matchups that took place in 1970, something that happened in the sky took up all the headlines in 1979. On October 28, 1979, the Steelers has defeated the Cowboys in the 9th week of the regular season, which is 14-3. In Super Bowl XIII, another rematch took place. Franco Harris rumbled 102 yards, at the same time, two touchdowns included a 48-yard run that put the game on the ice. However, late in the game, there is an odd object that grabbed the attention away from the field. While no one has ever figured what they were, Thomas White, the Duquesne University archivist, said that the extraterrestrials were kites that bear a resemblance of UFOs. Back in 2011, the odd object appears similarly like two kites that were connected and was moving in the breeze of the wind. He added that he saw the same footage of the kites before. Though the case has not been concluded, it was still one of the strangest moments in the NFL history, which is another interesting experience of Steelers-Cowboys rivalry.
Regardless of whether we have been visited or merely detected, the approach of UFOs was seen as illogical. They were always the subject to the controversy because their existence is debatable. When a person claimed to spot a flying object that is not readily identifiable, they usually connect it to extraterrestrial beings, but at the end of the day, no explicit photos were captured, or videos of the encounter that took place. However, a genuine encounter with a person that doesn’t believe in aliens at all is worth to listen. In the case of Jose Alves, who lives in Brazil, he was fishing near Pontal on November 4, 1954. The night is quiet; the area was deserted, and there’s only a very slight breeze from the east blowing continuously.
Suddenly, he spotted a bizarre vessel hovering in the sky heading towards him. As it moved, he transfixed and watched it carefully. When it landed on a wobbling motion, it was so near to him that he could touch it. The object he saw bears a resemblance of two washbowls that is being placed together that is about ten to fifteen feet in diameter. Because he was frightened, he could not run. Inside the craft, the three little men with close-fitting skull caps in white clothing appeared from a window-like hole. He does not know who these creatures are, but he is confident that they look like a humanoid with dark skin. Alves watched the small creatures collecting samples of herbs, grass, and leaves of trees. They also included filling the shiny metal tube with water from the river. Once they went back to the vessel, they disappeared swiftly and silently.
Alves is a man of few words. He is dedicated to his family. He does not know anything about extraterrestrial beings. As soon as he arrived in his hometown, he shared the story with the residents of Pontal. He had never heard of flying vessels, but he was confident that what he saw bears a resemblance of the little devils.

IN BRIEF
Astronomers from the University of Texas have pinpointed the location of a possible Earth-like planet not far from here. It has two identified exoplanets, and a possible third one may be a little like our own.
“WE FOUND ANOTHER ONE”
There are many reasons to explore the cosmos; however, one of the most intriguing reasons is to find another planet with life. We send out probes and we look towards the sky with our telescopes and radar dishes, all in the hope of finding another Earth. We have discovered many planets to date that seem to be rather Earth-like, and we are finding more.
Case in point, astronomers from the University of Texas have pinpointed the location of a possible Earth-like planet not far from here. Of course, it could also be rather unEarth-like. Hopefully, additional research will give us a definitive answer soon.
Gliese 832 is a red dwarf sun half the mass and radius of our own star. It is 16 light-years away from our solar system, and it has two identified exoplanets…and a possible third just cropped up.
The paper discussing the finding, published in arXiv, says that the potential Earth-like planet may exist between the two exoplanets, Gliese 832B and Gliese 832C.
Gliese 832B is a gas giant that is 0.64 the mass of Jupiter, and it orbits its star at 3.5 AU. The other planet, Gliese 832C, is a rocky world about 5 times as massive as Earth, and it orbits the star at a very close 0.16 AU. Both cannot harbor life as we know it, as 832B is a gas giant and 832C is too close to the star.
BASED ON A HUNCH
The already discovered planets were seen because of the radial velocity technique, which measures the gravitational effect of the planets on the star. The astronomers had a hunch that another planet may exist between the vast distance of 832B and 832C. They reexamined the data, and concluded that another planet may exist between them.
The newly discovered planet is still hypothetical at this point, and the researchers put its mass at between 1 and 15 Earth masses (yeah kind of a big margin there), and its orbit is between 0.25 to 2.0 AU from Gliese 382 (1 AU is roughly the distance from Earth to the Sun).
Conclusions such as these are not made definitively, but only so that planet hunters and telescopes such as Kepler know specifically where to look.
Most of the cosmic rays arriving at Earth from our galaxy come from nearby clusters of massive stars, according to new observations from the Cosmic Ray Isotope Spectrometer (CRIS), an instrument aboard NASA’s Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) spacecraft.
The distance between the galactic cosmic rays’ point of origin and Earth is limited by the survival of a very rare type of cosmic ray that acts like a tiny clock. The cosmic ray is a radioactive isotope of iron, 60Fe, which has a half life of 2.6 million years. In that time, half of these iron nuclei decay into other elements.
In the 17 years CRIS has been in space, it detected about 300,000 galactic cosmic-ray nuclei of ordinary iron, but just 15 of the radioactive 60Fe .
“Our detection of radioactive cosmic-ray iron nuclei is a smoking gun indicating that there has been a supernova in the last few million years in our neighborhood of the galaxy,” said Robert Binns, research professor of physics in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, and lead author on the paper published online in Science April 21.
“The new data also show the source of galactic cosmic rays is nearby clusters of massive stars, where supernova explosions occur every few million years,” said Martin Israel, professor of physics at Washington University and a co-author on the paper.
The radioactive iron is believed to be produced in core-collapse supernovae, violent explosions that mark the death of massive stars, which occur primarily in clusters of massive stars called OB associations.
There are more than 20 such associations close enough to Earth to be the source of the cosmic rays, including subgroups of the nearby Scorpius and Centaurus constellations, such as Upper Scorpius (83 stars), Upper Centaurus Lupus (134 stars) and Lower Centaurus Crux (97 stars). Because of their size and proximity, these are the likely sources of the radioactive iron nuclei CRIS detected, the scientists said.
An incriminating timeline
The 60Fe results add to a growing body of evidence that galactic cosmic rays are created and accelerated in OB associations.
This time lag also means that the nuclei synthesized in a supernova are not accelerated by that supernova, but by the shock wave from a second nearby supernova, Israel said, one that occurs quickly enough that a substantial fraction of the 60Fe from the first supernova has not yet decayed.
Together, these time constraints mean the second supernova must occur between 100,000 and a few million years after the first supernova. Clusters of massive stars are one of the few places in the universe where supernovae occur often enough, and close enough together, to bring this off.
“So our observation of 60Fe lends support to the emerging model of cosmic-ray origin in OB associations,” Israel said.
Corroborating evidence?
Although the supernovae in a nearby OB association that created the 60Fe CRIS observed happened long before people were around to observe suddenly brightening stars (novae), they also may have left traces in Earth’s oceans and on the moon.
Several impressive photos of alleged UFOs over the arctic captured on camera by the Navy in 1971 have been leaked to UFO researchers, and their discovery has been getting worldwide media attention.
UFO researcher Alex Mistretta claims that the images were originally given to him by an anonymous source in Europe. Later, he discovered that they were also published in a French paranormal magazine called Top Secret.
Two of the images from the French magazine Top Secret. The caption reads: “(Top) On this photo, we identify without a doubt a triangular-shaped UFO. It seems to be in trouble. (Bottom) If the order that we have chosen for these pictures is correct, the UFO here seems to now go sideways before plunging into the ocean…” (Credit: Top Secret/TheBlackVault.com)
To further investigate, Mistretta enlisted the help of John Greenewald, who runs the websiteTheBlackVault.com. He asked Greenewald to post the pictures in hopes that Greenewald and others may be able to find out more about the images.
After posting the story last week, it began getting international headlines. A Reddit user that goes by the name SqizCat was also able to find higher resolution copies of the images.
The images are fantastic. They seem to be of large objects aloft over the ocean, some, if not all, taken from the periscope of a submarine. The big question is are they real, and if so, what are they?

Alleged UFO photo taken from the USS Trepang in March 1971.
In his email to The Black Vault, Mistretta listed what his anonymous source told him.
The photos were taken from a United State Navy submarine.
The location was between Iceland and Jan Mayen island in the Atlantic Ocean. (Jan Mayen belongs to Norway, and is only inhabited by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the Norwegian military.)
They were taken in March of 1971.
The Submarine was the Navy’s USS Trepang (SSN 674) and the Admiral on board was Dean Reynolds Sackett. Obviously, the next step is to try and locate this Admiral Dean Reynolds, if he exists.
The Submarine came upon the object by “accident,” as they were in the region on a routine joint military and scientific expedition. Officer John Klika was the one who initially spotted the object with the periscope.
Greenewald looked into these claims and he says that he found that Admiral Sackett was onboard the USS Trepang at the time listed. He also found that Officer Kilka was also aboard. Further, he found that the USS Trepang was in the area the source claimed at the time the pictures were allegedly taken.

Mistretta wrote: “[Kilka] found the investigation interesting reading, and doesn’t know what the pictures represent. I believe them. I feel confident in saying the Trepang was not involved in the taking of the photographs.”
Although Mistretta now believes his source’s information to be inaccurate, Greenewald found clues that indicate the images may still be real, albeit not extraterrestrial.
Greenewald says, “When I first saw these, I noted there was something very Zeppelin-like about some of the photos, but, unlike the actual Zeppelin’s, it did not have a carrier for the occupants.”
By researching the USS Trepang’s whereabouts, he also found this on the site Hullnumber.com: “From 22 February to 22 March [1971], the nuclear attack submarine operated beneath the northern ice cap, conducting extensive tests to provide data for her weapons systems, as well as carrying out scientific experiments concerning the movement, composition, and geological history of the cap itself.”
This lead him to research test balloons. He searched the Library of Congress and found images of test balloons that look very similar to what is in some of the images.

Greenewald’s discovery makes it possible, if not likely, that the images are from test balloons being fired upon by Navy submarines. The images he found were from the early 1900s, so the question remains as to whether similar balloons were still being used in the 70s, or are the images colorized version of much older pictures. Given the misinformation that accompanied the images in the first place, it is also possible they are Photoshopped hoaxes.
Although the media has picked up on the story, few, if any, have mentioned the investigation work done by Mistretta, Greenewald, and Murillo. By leaving out this part of the story, they leave out the fact that many UFO researchers are more than just wild-eyed believers, as the media often portrays. Some are actually doing all they can to look for the truth.
Murillo’s UPARS organization will be hosting Mistretta to discuss this case on July 21, 2015 in Los Angeles. You can find more information on the UPARS Meetup site.
Nasa beefs up its team of ‘alien hunters’ – and says we may be on the verge of finding extraterrestrial life.

Nasa beefs up its team of ‘alien hunters’ – and says we may be on the verge of finding extraterrestrial life.
Nasa claims we’ll find aliens in the next 10 to 20 years – and now the agency is revving up its efforts to track them down.
The group has put together a team of ‘extraterrestrial experts’ to see if any of the planets discovered outside our solar system are habitable.
And it says that the amateur astronomers could help with its ‘unprecedented’ search for ET by access research data online.
The initiative, dubbed Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (Nexss), will include scientists from 10 universities including Stanford, the University of California and Yale.
The study of exoplanets is a relatively new field with discovery of the first exoplanet around a star like our sun was made in 1995.
Since the launch of the Kepler space telescope six years ago, more than 1,000 exoplanets have been found, with thousands of additional candidates waiting to be confirmed.
Nasa has set up a website for the public called Planet Hunters which allows anyone to search the data gathered by Kepler, since launching six years ago.
Scientists are also developing new ways to confirm the habitability of these worlds and search for biosignatures, or signs of life.
By applying a ‘system science’ approach, the team hopes to understand on an alien planet’s biology interacts with the atmosphere, geology, oceans, and interior of a planet.
The announcement comes just weeks after Nasa’s top scientist predicted we could be on the verge of finding life on one of them.
During a talk in Washington last month, the space agency announced that humanity is likely to encounter extra-terrestrials within a decade.
THE NEXSS TEAM OF ‘ALIEN HUNTERS’: WHAT WILL THEY DO?
Alien hunters from the University of Berkeley, California and Stanford are tasked with answering the question: ‘What are the properties of exoplanetary systems, as they relate to their formation, evolution, and potential to harbour life?’ They will combine astronomical observations of exoplanets and forming planetary systems with powerful computer simulations and cutting-edge microscopic studies of meteorites. The team from Arizona State University in Phoenix will take a similar approach. This research group will place planetary habitability in a chemical context, with the goal of producing a ‘periodic table of planets.’ Researchers from Hampton University, Virginia, will be exploring the sources and sinks for volatiles on habitable worlds. This research will help determine the past and present habitability of Mars and even Venus. The team centered at Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies will investigate habitability on a more local scale. It will examine the habitability of solar system rocky planets through time. The team from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, will design new spectrometers – optical instruments that measure the spectrum of light – with the stability to reach Earth-detecting precision for nearby stars. A group led the University of Nebraska-Kearney will explore the existence and evolution of exospheres around exoplanets, the outer, ‘unbound’ portion of a planet’s atmosphere. From the University of California, Santa Cruz, a group will investigate how novel maths equations can be used to extract information from light that is emitted and reflected by planetary atmospheres.
‘I believe we are going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth in the next decade and definitive evidence in the next 10 to 20 years,’ Ellen Stofan, chief scientist for Nasa, said.
‘We know where to look, we know how to look, and in most cases we have the technology.’
Jeffery Newmark, interim director of heliophysics at the agency, added: ‘It’s definitely not an if, it’s a when.’
‘We are not talking about little green men,’ Stofan said. ‘We are talking about little microbes.’
The announcement was prompted by the recent discovery of water by Nasa in surprising places.
Jim Green, director of planetary science at Nasa, noted that a recent study of the Martian atmosphere found 50 per cent of the planet’s northern hemisphere once had oceans a mile deep.
Signs of Alien Life Will Be Found by 2025, Chief Scientist Predicts
The same study found that water had been present on the red planet for up to 1.2 billion year.
‘We think that long period of time is necessary for life to get more complex,’ Stofan said.
Nasa associate administrator John Grunsfeld said he is excited about seeing what form life beyond Earth may take.
‘Once we get beyond Mars, which formed from the same stuff as Earth, the likelihood that life is similar to what we find on this planet is very low,’ he said.
‘I think we’re one generation away in our solar system, whether it’s on an icy moon or on Mars, and one generation [away] on a planet around a nearby star.
At the same conference last year, Nasa Administrator Charles Bolden made a more conservative estimate.
He claimed that we will find life within the next 20 years – with a high chance it will be outside our solar system.
Nasa next Mars rover, scheduled to launch in 2020, will search for signs of past life and bring samples for a possible return to Earth for analysis.
Nasa also hopes to land astronauts on Mars in the 2030s, which Stofan says is crucial key to the search for Mars life.
‘I’m a field geologist; I go out and break open rocks and look for fossils,’ Stofan said. ‘Those are hard to find.
‘So I have a bias that it’s eventually going to take humans on the surface of Mars — field geologists, astrobiologists, chemists — actually out there looking for that good evidence of life that we can bring back to Earth for all the scientists to argue about.’
The space agency is also planning a mission to Europa, which may launch as early as 2022. It hopes to find out whether the icy moon is habitable.
Meanwhile, the agency’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), will launch in 2018 to scope out the atmospheres of nearby ‘super-Earth’ alien planets.

But the once-secret memo, published on its website, reveals “uncomplimentary comments” were edited out.
Comments on international relations and defence technology were also deleted.
Thousands of pages from the department’s UFO files have been released through the National Archives since 2008, revealing details of reported flying objects and encounters with aliens.
The newly released memo to ministers and defence chiefs, dated September 2007, discusses how to make the largely “low security classification” information public.
The files are considerably less exciting than the ‘industry’ surrounding the UFO phenomena would like to believe
MoD memo
It notes they “include references to air defence matters, defence technology, relations with foreign powers and occasional uncomplimentary comments by staff or police officers about members of the public, which will need to be withheld in accordance with FoI principles.”
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) recorded UFO sightings from the end of the Second World War until it shut its special investigation unit on 1 December last year.
Officials feared publishing only part of the information would “fuel accusations of a ‘cover-up’,” the document reveals.
“Contrary to what many members of the public may believe, MoD has no interest in the subject of extraterrestrial life forms visiting the UK, only in ensuring the integrity and security of UK airspace,” it says.
“The MoD is aware of no clear evidence to prove or disprove the existence of aliens, and consequently the files are considerably less exciting than the ‘industry’ surrounding the UFO phenomena would like to believe.”
The fifth instalment of MoD UFO files was released last week, revealing reports of a large triangular UFO hovering in the skies above former home secretary Michael Howard’s home near Folkestone, Kent, in March 1997.
Mars Tourists Will Be Just as Annoying as Regular Tourists
Mars Tourists Will Be Just as Annoying as Regular Tourists
Visiting Mars might sound like science fiction, but plenty of dreamers think it might soon be possible. SpaceX and Mars One have promised to colonize Earth’s nearest neighbor within decades, and the cold, red planet eventually could become an epic tourist destination.
Julien Mauve envisions what this might look like in his playful series Greetings from Mars. Such a future is all too predictable: seemingly self-absorbed people in space suits roam the awe-inspiring terrain armed with smartphones, cameras and selfie-sticks. Like dogs marking their territory, the earthlings seem more interested in documenting their presence than contemplating the jaw-dropping vistas. “These are all tourist habits that have developed with photography,” Mauve says. “I assume we’ll act the same on another planet.”
Mauve shot the images in April during an eight-day, 4,000-mile road trip during which he meandered from California to Utah. The otherworldly scenery provided a close approximation of the Martian terrain revealed by theCuriosity rover (which explains why movies like John Carterhave been filmed there). He rented replicas of the ESP-A7L space suits worn on the Apollo missions from an LA production company. “They wouldn’t be the suits you’d use for a Mars mission, but my goal was more to get close to the cliché we have in mind when we think of an astronaut,” he says.
Do we travel to discover new places and cultures, or do we travel to take pictures of ourselves and prove that we exist?
He and a friend donned the suits to cavort in the desert like any selfie-sticking oblivious tourists would. Sometimes Mauve triggered the shutter with his phone; other times he set a 10-second timer and ran into the frame. He used Photoshop to remove plants, trees, and other signs of life, then tweaked their colors to conjure the Red Planet’s famously rusty, sulphuric hue.
His photographs are eerily cinematic, and, like the movies, weirdly convincing. Even when the landscapes are recognizably terrestrial—the Grand Canyon or Death Valley, for example—they serve as a reminder that the West once seemed as alien as Mars does today. National parks and photo-op hotspots still draw hordes of shutterbugs eager to prove “I was here.” Mauve doesn’t see any reason why the same thing wouldn’t happen in space, should tourists ever get there.
“The fact that we may witness it in our lifetime, just as our parents and grandparents [witnessed the moon landing] in the ’60s, makes it even more exciting,” he says. “The Internet nearly broke when Felix Baumgartner jumped from the stratosphere, so just imagine what will happen the day we step foot on Mars.”
Despite his optimism about space travel, Mauve’s images ultimately are a parody of how snapping and sharing a photo has become the culmination of every exploratory experience. Travelers don’t even have to wait to get home and have their film developed at the local Walgreens; they can shoot and post a photo within seconds. “There is no being far away anymore,” he says. “So we might ask ourselves: Do we travel to discover new places and cultures, or do we travel to take pictures of ourselves and prove that we exist?”
A WOMAN who claims to have been abducted by aliens more than 20 years ago has visited Torquay to speak to resident UFO expert and author Roy Dutton about her experiences.
Roy, who lives in Torquay and is a retired aerospace engineer, has spent over 50 years studying UFO sightings all over the world.
He is now highly regarded as a UFO expert with a published book and DVD series already under his belt.
'Abductee' Valerie Walters first met Roy in 1990 and the pair have recently met up again to discuss Valerie's experiences for a new book Roy is working on.
The pair first met at a hypnosis session organised to unlock memories about Valerie's extraterrestrial experience.
It was around 1.45am on July 16, 1981, when 26-year-old Valerie and her two friends, Rosemary and Vivienn, were driving home from a night out in Sheffield.
The three friends all saw a strange light in the sky which led to a terrifying experience they will never forget.
Valerie said: "We saw a craft in the sky, it was about 30ft in diameter and hovered directly above the car.
"I was in the back, I didn't remember much at the time — none of us did, things started to come back after the hypnosis.
"I remembered hearing a beeping noise and I started to feel quite drowsy.
"Me and Rosemary saw the craft hovering over the field next to us. I can remember seeing windows and a dome, it had a rim on it. But Rosemary couldn't remember what it looked like."
The three women didn't remember anything else at the time, but 'had lost over half-an-hour' by the time they got home and rushed to their local police station to tell them about their sighting.
"Initially we didn't know anything, we thought it was just a sighting," said Valerie.
"We went to the police to tell them and we heard them laughing in the back."
Valerie added: "I was out of the car looking for the others, then the car was gone.
"I felt something behind me, like I was being picked up by my \\\voice said, 'don't be afraid'.
"Then I felt like I was in a vacuum everything went red in my head — I will never forget that feeling.
"I was in a white wedge shaped room with two humanoid beings, a male and a female both with shoulder length dark hair and hypnotic blue eyes," said Valerie.
"I remembe\\\\\r the beings trying to communicate with me telepathically. They were especially interested in my clothes.
"You'll laugh but the female gestured to try on my shoes, I laughed. I remember laughing at the time. But afterwards, philosophically I wondered whether it was trying to communicate that it wanted to see what it felt like to walk in my shoes."
The women's encounters are detailed in Roy's first book, including a copy of a 'star map' drawn by Valerie.
Roy is now working on a second book, and has met up with Valerie again 20 years later to further discuss her experience.
He said: "I believe they are possibly from a parallel universe, to me that seems to be the most reasonable explanation.
"There have been so many sightings which detail the use of technology which is way beyond our understanding.
"Given my background as an aerospace engineer, I know what is possible in human technology, that is why I got involved."

The TR-3B is Code named Astra. The tactical reconnaissance TR-3B first operational flight was in the early 90s. The triangular shaped nuclear powered aerospace platform was developed under the Top Secret, Aurora Program with SDI and black budget monies. At least 3 of the billion dollar plus TR-3Bs were flying by 1994. The Aurora is the most classified aerospace development program in existence. The TR-3B is the most exotic vehicle created by the Aurora Program. It is funded and operationally tasked by the National Reconnaissance Office, the NSA, and the CIA. The TR-3B flying triangle is not fiction and was built with technology available in the mid 80s. Not every UFO spotted is one of theirs.
The TR-3B vehicles outer coating is reactive to electrical Radar stimulation and can change reflectiveness, radar absorptiveness, and color. This polymer skin, when used in conjunction with the TR-3Bs Electronic Counter Measures and, ECCM, can make the vehicle look like a small aircraft, or a flying cylinder–or even trick radar receivers into falsely detecting a variety of aircraft, no aircraft, or several aircraft at various locations. A circular, plasma filled accelerator ring called the Magnetic Field Disrupter, surrounds the rotatable crew compartment and is far ahead of any imaginable technology.
Sandia and Livermore laboratories developed the reverse engineered MFD technology. The government will go to any lengths to protect this technology. The plasma, mercury based, is pressurized at 250,000 atmospheres at a temperature of 150 degrees Kelvin and accelerated to 50,000 rpm to create a super-conductive plasma with the resulting gravity disruption. The MFD generates a magnetic vortex field, which disrupts or neutralizes the effects of gravity on mass within proximity, by 89 percent. Do not misunderstand. This is not antigravity. Anti-gravity provides a repulsive force that can be used for propulsion. The MFD creates a disruption of the Earth’s gravitational field upon the mass within the circular accelerator. The mass of the circular accelerator and all mass within the accelerator, such as the crew capsule, avionics, MFD systems, fuels, crew environmental systems, and the nuclear reactor, are reduced by 89%. This causes the effect of making the vehicle extremely light and able to outperform and outmaneuver any craft yet constructed–except, of course, those UFOs we did not build.
The TR-3B is a high altitude, stealth, reconnaissance platform with an indefinite loiter time. Once you get it up there at speed, it doesnt take much propulsion to maintain altitude. At Groom Lake their have been whispered rumours of a new element that acts as a catalyst to the plasma. With the vehicle mass reduced by 89%, the craft can travel at Mach 9, vertically or horizontally. My sources say the performance is limited only the stresses that the human pilots can endure. Which is a lot, really, considering along with the 89% reduction in mass, the G forces are also reduced by 89%.
The TR-3Bs propulsion is provided by 3 multimode thrusters mounted at each bottom corner of the triangular platform. The TR-3 is a sub-Mach 9 vehicle until it reaches altitudes above l20,000 feet–then God knows how fast it can go! The 3 multimode rocket engines mounted under each corner of the craft use hydrogen or methane and oxygen as a propellent. In a liquid oxygen/hydrogen rocket system, 85% of the propellent mass is oxygen. The nuclear thermal rocket engine uses a hydrogen propellent, augmented with oxygen for additional thrust. The reactor heats the liquid hydrogen and injects liquid oxygen in the supersonic nozzle, so that the hydrogen burns concurrently in the liquid oxygen afterburner. The multimode propulsion system can; operate in the atmosphere, with thrust provided by the nuclear reactor, in the upper atmosphere, with hydrogen propulsion, and in orbit, with the combined hydrogen oxygen propulsion.
What you have to remember is, that the 3 rocket engines only have to propel 11 percent of the mass of the Top Secret TR-3B. The engines are reportedly built by Rockwell. Many sightings of triangular UFOs are not alien vehicles but the top secret TR-3B. The NSA, NRO, CIA, and USAF have been playing a shell game with aircraft nomenclature – creating the TR-3, modified to the TR-3A, the TR-3B, and the Teir 2, 3, and 4, with suffixes like Plus or Minus added on to confuse further the fact that each of these designators is a different aircraft and not the same aerospace vehicle. A TR-3B is as different from a TR-3A as a banana is from a grape. Some of these vehicles are manned and others are unmanned.
It all become apparent in Belgium where, after frequent sightings of flying lights and a mid-air near-miss by UFO, at one point Belgian Air Force, anxious to identify the origin of the phenomena, authorized F16 scrambles under condition that the visual observations on the ground were confirmed by the local police and detection on the radar.
One of the consequences of such decision was that, on 31 March 1990 at 00:05 hr, two F16 were scrambled from Beauvechain airbase and guided towards the radar contacts.
A total of 9 interception attempts have been made that night. At six occasions the pilots established a lock-on with their air interception radar. Lock-on distances varied between 5 and 8 NM. On all occasions targets varied speed and altitude very quickly and break-locks occurred after 10 to 60 seconds. Speeds varied between 150 and 1010 knots. At three occasions both F16 registered simultaneous lock-ons with the same parameters. The two F16 were flying approximately 2 NM apart. Owing to the night conditions, no visual contact could be established by either of the F16 pilots.
