Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

How Can the Discovery of Gravitational Waves Help Mankind?
When a child enters school, he or she is taught about gravity and its effects. Somewhere between seventh and tenth grade, the famous scientist and mathematician, Einstein, is introduced to them. We have read about him and his famous theory of general relativity. The name has become synonymous with the special relativity equation, E=mc2.
Different scientists have tried to prove the theory behind it in different ways, but they never really could find any hard evidence.
Well, it may not have been verified before, but new evidence, after over a century of research on Einstein’s version of mass-energy equivalence by hundreds of scientists, has come to light which may well have proven the theory for good.
In September 2015, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) detected slight signs of gravitational waves. And the information collected was then substituted in the equation, and guess what? The equation was found to be balanced. The world now has hard evidence that what the man said a hundred years ago was not a prediction or just a hypothesis – it was scientific law.
Gravitational waves are a kind of energy which are found to be the ripples in space-time. When LIGO detected the signals, the waves were produced due to the collision of two black holes. The collision resulted in a larger black hole that emitted the gravitational waves in space.
This may all seem like a technical lecture to you, but the interesting part is just around the corner. You see, gravitational waves are the only waves that can travel at the speed of light or even more. They can penetrate through any matter without getting altered. It doesn’t even harm the object in any way.
These gravitational waves can help us study the anatomy of anything present in the universe. This is the key that will unlock various secrets of the universe. This will not just help us to gain knowledge, but will also aid in finding solutions to the problems that the world is still unaware of.
We can find out how planets are made, how cells and atoms can be regenerated, and the like. Imagine replicating the earth’s core. We know that the earth’s temperature is continuously increasing, which is definitely not a pleasant news, but what if we could get it back to normal? Gravitational waves are going to unveil various aspects of life and matter, which are hidden from the beginning.
The gravity of the earth is a force that holds it together, but it is also the weakest force discovered. We don’t know how long this force is going to last, which means we don’t have any idea how long the earth stays in existence. Knowing the ending point will be a great help – we could make adequate arrangements for our future. Who knows, maybe we could also replicate it or just stop it from reaching the limit; let’s see what can be done.
These are just predictions, or you can say these are just a few benefits that we know we can avail through the discovery of gravitational waves. But, nature always has surprises; maybe this discovery could lead us to something that is beyond anyone’s imagination just yet.
The world has changed a lot since 1903 when the Wright Brothers made the first successful flight. Now, we have gigantic planes in the air, thousands of tons of metal flying, carrying hundreds of passengers at a time such as the Airbus A380, Boeing 747, 777, and the like. Some of these are able to accommodate over 400 passengers, complete with exclusive facilities to make the journey more pleasurable. Passengers can even get their own rooms in some planes!
Once, the Airbus A380 was known to be the largest plane. This metal bird made by Airbus was truly humongous. It is still the largest passenger plane in the world. And Emirates Airline was its biggest customer, with 75 A380s in its fleet and another 130 already ordered.
This piece of engineering is a masterpiece of design. The double-deck, wide-body vehicle is powered by four high-powered engines. The Rolls Royce Trent 900 and Engine Alliance GP7000 are among the monster engines found on this plane.
Evolution never stops, though, and the A380 has new competition to contend with, the Antonov An-225 Mriya. This leviathan of a plane isn’t so much competition, however; it far surpasses the A380 in terms of sheer scale. The Antonov An-225 Mriya is effectively the largest airplane in existence.
In the 1980s, the Soviet Union’s Antonov Design Bureau came up with this machine. It’s not just the largest plane; it is a plane that can carry maximum weight, which is equal to 52 fully matured elephants. It is also the heaviest plane ever built and holds a total of 240 Guinness World Records.
The plane has 6 turbo engines, easily overpowering any other plane in this respect. The massive body allows the plane to gain enough uplift from the air to keep it stable. With a stupendous capacity of 300,000 kilograms, it can make long cargo journeys.
For a plane of this size, it makes sense that it would serve as a cargo plane, a fact that has solved many a logistic nightmare for companies. Before the An-225, the logistics of transporting necessary equipment like a plant generator could take years to resolve, having to break down everything into small components and then deal with the hassle of reassembly. The An-225 has become to go-to choice for such needs.
America also signed a contract with the Soviet government to use the An-225 to transport military assets. The Soviet government’s main purpose to build this massive bird was to make a lot of money out of it, and it is clear that they have succeeded.
This happens every few years; we think that this machine is the largest and nothing more can be done, but after a few years we are proved wrong. The same happened with the Airbus A380; it is still the largest passenger plane, but it isn’t even close to the size, power, and capacity of the An-225.
Let’s see what aeronautical engineers have in store for us in the future!
Edge of Tomorrow is a colossally underrated film, one of the best sci-fi flicks I’ve seen in the past couple of years.
If you haven’t seen it, the film stars Tom Cruise attempting to save humanity from aliens in essentially the same type of transportation exoskeleton we see here from Hyundai.
I’m not sure how long Hyundai’s transportation exoskeleton has been in production, but the similarities between it and the Edge of Tomorrow are striking.
The suit will be part of the company’s ‘Next Mobility’ Group, which focuses on moving people from point A to point B.
A working transportation exoskeleton from Hyundai would find plenty of applications, from factory workers to soldiers carrying out military operations.
Of course, the “wearable robot” could also be used by regular citizens to stave off an attack on Earth from extraterrestrials, should stuff ever really hit the fan.

A Washington witness at Battle Ground reported watching what appeared to be a military helicopter escorting a cigar-shaped UFO very close to ground level, according to testimony in Case 75344 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The incident occurred beginning at 11:20 p.m. on March 21, 2016, and was reported to MUFON the following day.

“I was in the backyard and heard this incoming Chinook helicopter flying near, close to the ground, very loud, and as it passed into view, just ahead of it was this dark moving craft,” the witness stated.“Observing both was very short, but I could make out a cigar shape as best as I can describe. It could have been diamond shaped, or could be a disc on edge, but it was very much something that was making no sound at all. Seeing the helicopter so close to it, could see it was being escorted.”
The witness believes there has been UFO activity in the area over a long period of time.
“I have prior reports from the area, and also have not mentioned other strange sightings here. They are very frequent and Battle Ground, Washington, is an area UFO watchers should be looking more into these days.”
The case was investigated by Washington Assistant State Director AletaDeBee and closed as an Unknown.
“The two craft were about the same size, traveling at the same speed and same height, just 2 to 300 feet off the ground,” DeBee wrote in her report.“It seemed to him that they might have been traveling close to the ground to stay beneath the radar. They were traveling to the northwest. The dark, oblong object was unlighted. The crafts were close to his location, probably no more than 300 feet away. It moved so fast that it seemed like less than a second that he was able to see it before it had flown beyond the clearing.”

DeBee reviewed the case details.
“The helicopter was manmade, without visible insignia, possibly a dark blue/green color. Looked to be a Chinook, as it had two props. Very large, very loud. Object was flying in front of the helicopter, and appeared totally black, oblong, like a cigar or elongated diamond shape. Weather was clear, 46-degrees F., with a visibility of 10 miles. Wind about 5 mph.Battleground is a thriving populous community, a suburb of Vancouver. It is located about 30 miles north of Portland International Airport, and about 20 miles north of Vancouver and about 30 miles southwest of Mount St. Helens.”
Other databases and resources were reviewed.
“Checked NUFORC immediately and two weeks afterwards to see if there were other sightings. Checked weather. Called Joint Base Lewis-McChord to find out what explanations there might be for this event. Was told by the public information officer on duty that at any one time they might have 150 helicopters in the air, and it’s hard to say what they are doing. Called the Control Tower at Portland International Airport, about 20-25 miles south and southwest of the sighting locations to see if they had any idea what it was, and whether there was any radar information. They said that it may be that there were maybe exercises that the military was conducting that included one helicopter flying with another, one with night vision equipment and without lights, while the other would have lights.
“I called the tower another day, and received the phone number for the FAA Standards unit in Oregon. The person there at the FAA said that this did not sound like anything he’d ever heard of before, but offered some good information. He said that if aircraft fly along the river often. If they are flying low in Washington, they probably won’t show up on radar, and these sounded like they were running within 500 feet of the ground. He said that aircraft that are running below 1000 feet don’t need to talk to the tower. Also, that military aircraft don’t always follow the rules. He suggested training for putting out fires this coming summer.
“Called Bill Puckett, who gave good advice about aircraft details and radar. He was very helpful, but I decided that there’s no doubt that there were helicopters involved. As for the other object, any radar data would be inconsequential, as the helicopter and the object were so close together they would show up as one object, even if radar had a blip. He said that Troutdale has an airport that is set up to accommodate military planes. Troutdale is just south of Washougal.”

“MUFON Case #75413 was the same night, and almost the same description. The witness in that correlating case was able to see the object for a longer time.
“Considering that this object was in front of the helicopter and not slung underneath it, was not lighted, and made no sound but moved as fast as the helicopter, I conclude that this was an Unknown. It may have been a military vehicle, but not one known to this investigator at this time, so it is still Unknown.”

There is a report created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) which is mainly about President Putin, and is circulating in the Kremlin today. The report states that Pope Benedict XVI was forced to resign this past week over Catholic Church fears that this 85-year-old leader of over 1 billion Christians was “mentally and physically unprepared” to deal with the coming revelation about the truth of alien beings.
In our 22 January report, ‘Russia Orders Obama – Tell World About Aliens, or We Will,’ we detailed how the issue of extraterrestrial beings was brought to the forefront of the World Economic Forum (WEF) with the naming in their 2013 Executive Summary of the danger posed to our world over the discovery of alien life with their stating:
“Proof of life elsewhere in the universe could have profound psychological implications for human belief systems.”
In addition, it was noted in our previous report were Prime Minister Medvedev’s 7 December 2012 off-air comments to reporters which were recorded and wherein he stated:
“Along with the briefcase with nuclear codes, the president of the country is given a special ‘top secret’ folder. This folder in its entirety contains information about aliens who visited our planet…
Along with this, you are given a report of the absolutely secret special service that exercises control over aliens on the territory of our country… More detailed information on this topic you can get from a well-known movie called Men In Black…
I will not tell you how many of them are among us because it may cause panic.”
Spurring Pope Benedict XVI to become the first leader of the Catholic Church to resign in nearly 600 years, this MFA report says, was the appearance over Los Cristianos, Spain on 21 August 2011 of the long prophesized “bird of prey” interplanetary spacecraft, and which was followed nearly 3 weeks ago with a fleet of them appearing in the skies over Mexico City
To fully understand the significance of these “bird of prey” UFO’s, this report continues, files relating to the 27 September 1989 Voronezh Incident must be studied in length, especially as it relates to the “messages” delivered to eyewitnesses from the “giants”.
In an 11 October 1989 New York Times article about the Voronezh Incident titled ‘UFO Landing Is Fact, Not Fantasy, the Russians Insist’ it says:
“It is not a joke, nor a hoax, nor a sign of mental instability, nor an attempt to drum up local tourism by drawing the curious, the Soviet press agency Tass insisted today in discussions of what it called an extraterrestrial visit to southern Russia.
Residents of the city of Voronezh insisted today that lanky, three-eyed extraterrestrial creatures had indeed landed in a local park and gone for a stroll and that a seemingly fantastic report about the event carried Monday by the official press agency Tass was absolutely true.
The three-eyed creature, about nine feet tall and fashionably dressed in silvery overalls and bronze boots and with a disk on its chest, disappeared, then landed and came out for a promenade with a companion and a robot.
The aliens seemed to communicate with each other, producing the mysterious appearance of a shining triangle, and activated the robot with a touch.”
Regarding these “messages” from the Voronezh “giants”, this MFA report says, was the warning to human beings that when these “bird of prey” UFO’s descend upon Earth the whole planet will be in peril.
The Voronezh “giants” further related, this report says, that the alien beings associated with these “bird of prey” UFO’s were the cause of the 14 April 1561 massive “sky battle” over Nuremberg, Germany which was depicted in a famous 16th century woodcut by Hans Glaser and described by the residents as:
“A very frightful spectacle.”
“The sky appeared to fill with cylindrical objects from which red, black, orange and blue white disks and globes emerged. Crosses and tubes resembling cannon barrels also appeared whereupon the objects promptly began to fight one another.”
Important to note is that the Catholic Christian faith headed by Pope Benedict XVI, as well as nearly every other religion on Earth, all prophesize in their teachings a time when the “gods” will return to our planet and engage in a battle that could very well bring our entire planet to the brink of destruction.
Equally important to note about Pope Benedict XVI’s shock resignation is how it eerily compares with Saint Malachy, who as an Irish saint and Archbishop of Armagh, in the 12th Century, received a vision of 112 Popes later attributed to the apocalyptic list of Prophecy of the Popes.
He was the first Irish saint to be canonized by Pope Clement III in 1199.
In their 2012 book the American authors Tom Horn and Cris Putnam “Petrus Romanus – The Final Pope is Here” about Saint Malachy’s prophecies told interviewers last Spring that Pope Benedict XVI would resign by late 2012, or early 2013, and described the next Pope to follow as “Petrus Romanus,” or “Peter the Roman,” writing:
“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock among many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.”
Though the masses of people reading of the things this report contains will, undoubtedly, ridicule them, the same cannot be said of the elite moneyed classes who, even at this writing, are protecting themselves from “something” at such a fever-pitched pace it is destabilizing the entire global economy.
It was exampled at an article titled “What Do They Know That We Don’t?” and which, in part, says:
“Friday evening when no one was supposed to pay attention, Google announced that Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt would sell 3.2 million of his Google shares in 2013, 42% of the 7.6 million shares he owned at the end of last year – after having already sold 1.8 million shares in 2012. But why would he sell 5 million shares, about 53% of his holdings, with Google stock trading near its all-time high?
“Part of his long-term strategy for individual asset diversification and liquidity,” Google mollified us, according to the Wall Street Journal. Soothing words. Nothing but “a routine diversification of assets.”
Routine? He didn’t sell any in 2008 as the market was crashing. He didn’t sell at the bottom in early 2009. And he didn’t sell during the rest of 2009 as Google shares were soaring, nor in 2010, as they continued to soar. In 2011, he eased out of about 300,000 shares, a mere rounding error in his holdings. But in 2012, he opened the valves, and in 2013, he’d open the floodgates.
So it’s not ‘routine.’
Mr. Schmidt isn’t alone. Corporate insiders were “aggressively selling their shares,” reported Mark Hulbert. And they were doing so “at an alarming pace.” The buy sell-to-buy ratio had risen to 9.2-to-1; insiders had sold over 9 times as many shares as they’d bought. They’d been aggressive sellers for weeks.
Instantly, soothing voices were heard: ‘don’t be alarmed,’ they said.
But Mr. Schmidt and his colleagues at the top of corporate America, multi-billionaires many of them, are immensely well connected, not only to each other but also to the Fed, whose twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks they own and control.
The reason the Google Chairman Schmidt did not attend the World Economic Forum this year, is because of the fact that the danger of aliens was being discussed, and he went for a visit to North Korea instead and when coupled with the information contained in this MFA report, is far from being “soothing”, and is, instead, something well all should be very alarmed about as the end is much nearer than the beginning as those with “eyes to see” and “ears to hear” already know.

Het is ronduit crimineel te noemen dat de zaken waar het werkelijk om gaat in deze wereld uit het mainstream nieuws worden gehouden.
Zoals wanneer er dit jaar opeens een enorme toename plaatsvindt van vuurbollen in de lucht dit op iedere voorpagina ter wereld zou moeten staan.
Eén van de kenmerken van de elite is dat ze volkomen maling hebben aan het welzijn van de bevolking. Dat het ze een biet zal zijn of er drie, vier of vijf miljard mensen omkomen. Eigenlijk hebben ze dat wel liever, want dan is de planeet straks van hen.
Ze zijn zo arrogant dat ze denken hun zaakjes goed voor elkaar te hebben met hun ondergrondse schuilkelders, dat ze daar straks volkomen veilig zijn voor de dingen die gaan komen om daarna met een soort “schone” planeet opnieuw te kunnen beginnen.
Wij hebben al eerder geschreven over de enorme toename van vuurbollen in de lucht de afgelopen jaren.
Waar dan weer géén aandacht aan wordt besteed is het feit dat het aantal vuurbollen (meteorieten) die de aarde bereiken de laatste jaren schrikbarend is toegenomen.
Hieronder een grafiek voor Amerika, maar die geldt eigenlijk ook voor de rest van de wereld omdat dit fenomeen zich overal voordoet en niet is beperkt tot een bepaalde regio.
Dan zie je een explosieve stijging van vuurbollen gedurende de afgelopen paar jaar.
Waar we dus vorig jaar al een enorme toename zagen, wordt het dit jaar nog erger en wordt er door The American Meteor Society de afgelopen weken een explosieve toename van vuurbollen geconstateerd.
De kans dat er door de toename van het “ruimtepuin” dat op ons afkomt meer ongelukken op aarde zullen voor komen, neemt dan ook aanzienlijk toe. In plaats van dat de wereld zich gaat bezighouden met acties die objecten in de ruimte tijdig kunnen waarnemen en eventueel vernietigen, heerst er overal een dodelijke stilte. Laat staan dat er maatregelen worden genomen om de mensen op aarde te beschermen.
Iedereen heeft de afgelopen week kunnen lezen over de enorme bosbranden in Canada. Dat deze waarschijnlijk zijn veroorzaakt door de inslag van een meteoriet hoor je nergens. Als mogelijke verklaring wordt door de autoriteiten een sigarettenpeuk geopperd.
Zelfs het ISS ruimtestation ontsnapte niet aan puin uit de ruimte, want enkele dagen geleden stuurde astronaut Tim Peakeeen plaatje de wereld in met een foto van een 7 mm scheur in het raam van de Cupola module nadat dit raam was geraakt door een stuk van dit puin.
De volgende video is een compilatie van vuurbollen in de lucht gedurende de afgelopen week.
Nu wordt er gezegd dat er in de maanden maart en april meer meteorieten voor kwamen dan gewoonlijk omdat we door de staart van de komeet Hailey gingen. Misschien is dat zo, maar de enorme toename is niet alleen van één maand. Ze komen letterlijk van alle kanten op ons af en ook in de maand mei gaat het op volle kracht door.
In de volgende video gaat Youtube gebruiker Tom Lupshu in op de vraag waarom Rusland bezig is met een raket die de naam Satan 2 draagt en die maar liefst 12 kernkoppen bezit. Een explosieve kracht zo groot dat het complete landen ter grootte van Frankrijk van de kaart kan vegen.
Volgens Lupshu is er een andere reden dat Rusland dit soort raketten ontwikkelt. Niet om deze te gebruiken in een oorlog, want dat zou totaal zinloos zijn, maar wel om straks eventuele dreigingen vanuit de ruimte te kunnen uitschakelen.
De oorzaak van dit alles is duidelijk; deze brokstukken uit de ruimte komen niet zomaar spontaan op ons af.
We besluiten dan ook met een kort verhelderend stuk uit een eerder artikel van onze vaste columnist Evert Jan Poorterman:
In mijn visie en verwachting komt het mini-stelsel uit de richting van Groenland/Canada, dus noordelijker dan jullie bron in de onderstaande tekst stelt. Daarom ook bouwde men duizenden jaren geleden de ‘schuilkelders’, die wij kennen als ‘hunebedden’, ‘longbarrows’ en ‘dolmen’ (en in America als ‘quaboghs’). Dat was omdat de stenenregens, veroorzaakt door het mini-stelsel, uit de astroïdengordel komen. Daarom wereldwijd, maar vooral in Europa, een band van schuilkelders van Zuid-Zweden, Denemarken, Duitsland...
Nederland, België, Frankrijk, Engeland, Wales, Ierland en Spanje... en zelfs tot in Marokko. Dus een band over west-Europa van schuilkelders voor de bevolkingen. Dus geen praalgraven voor het stamhoofd, maar een schuilkelder voor de hele dorp. Dan het volgende; de passage van het mini-stelsel zal niet vóór de Zon zijn, maar achter de Zon. Het stelsel draait om de Zon want wordt door de Zon aangetrokken in hun baan. Zou het mini-stelsel voor de Zon langs gaan dan zou het mini-stelsel botsen in de Zon. Dat is mogelijk maar gebeurt niet.
De ster van dit mini-stelsel is half zo groot als de Zon, maar zijn ‘halo’ zou inderdaad zo groot kunnen oplichten dat hij vergelijkbaar even groot is als de Zon en de Maan (optisch). Als wij achter de Zon zitten ten opzichte van de tweede ster, bedraagt de afstand 580 miljoen kilometer. Zitten we aan de andere kant; de kant waar ook de tweede ster passeert in zijn ronde om de Zon, bedraagt de afstand slechts 280 miljoen kilometer. Dus een paar maanden eerder of later in tijdverschil maakt voor ons op dit kleine planeetje heel veel uit.

Conspiracy theory is any speculations or explanations, suggesting that more than two people have conspired with each other to cover up intentionally, and deliberately a situation or incident that were regarded as harmful or illegal. Apparently, conspiracy theorists do not necessarily believe or reject the whole situation. It just means that they know something but choose to conceal the event for safety purposes. However, the recent incident shows that they witnessed a vessel hovering over Australia, and believed that it is a UFO. It was the flight tracker app that detected the mysterious object. According to them, it flew 50 to 100 times at a faster speed compared to a typical aircraft.
Based on the flight tracker app, different planes were operating in the area, and among them, it was the mysterious flying vessel that stands out. As stated, the rest of the planes were flying over New South Wales in Australia, and while they moved at a steady speed, one object travels faster than the others.
The images were spotted and recorded yesterday, and were uploaded on YouTube, which garnered 31,000 views. Despite witnessing by conspiracy theorist, it appears that most viewers were not convinced that the footage is genuine. According to one YouTube user, the trackers apps utilizes ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast). But one viewer believes that it was a mysterious object because the airliner’s average speed is around 700 miles per hour, and the mere fact that it moved 50 times, it is faster more like hundred times faster than other air vessels.
Another user commented stating that not even a rocket or anything in the orbit can travel that fast. While many debunked the footage as a hoax, others still believe the mystery of the video. It has not been announced, but it seems like UFOs are becoming the worst kept secret in the world.

UFOs – Unidentified Flying Objects – are real. Of course they are: Hundreds of people see mysterious objects in the sky all the time. However, some are considered by a more eccentric few to represent something more enigmatic and alien. Either way, there have been reported sightings of these levitating blobs and lights for years. Now, a historian has revealed that he has uncovered evidence of what may be the first-ever documented UFO sighting – which was made in Hull, England, way back in 1801.
Although the earliest UFO image was taken from the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, in 1870, sightings of these mysterious objects may have stretched back even earlier, with some evidence only put down in writing. Mike Covell, an author and historian, perused through newspaper archives from the beginning of the 19th century, and discovered a written description in the newspaper, the Northampton Mercury, of a huge, moon-like orb that appeared over the city at roughly 1:00 a.m. on July 11, 1801, accompanied by a weird blue light.
The “immense moon” also had a black bar running across it. According to the Mirror, the report said: “It seemed then to form itself into seven small distinct moons or globes of fire which disappeared for the space of a few seconds. Its reappearance was equally brilliant, at first showing itself like the face of the moon, afterwards in five circular balls, and lastly like several small stars which gradually faded away, leaving the whole atmosphere brilliantly illuminated.”
Another local newspaper, the Chester Chronicle, described the weird blue light emitted by the object – but a week later, on July 17.
It isn’t immediately clear that a UFO sighting older than this hasn’t also occurred – perhaps the records haven’t been checked yet. In fact, according to TIME, the earliest UFO sighting in recorded history can be found in 4th century Chinese tomes, which claim that a “moon boat” hovered above the country every 12 years.
“There is a lot of portraits showing stuff flying about in the sky from Biblical times. But it is all open to interpretation – whereas this is real evidence,” Mr. Covell told the Mirror.
We’re not particularly convinced that a written report about a strange light in the sky is conclusive proof of what is inferred to be an alien UFO. Distressingly, the description of the moon-like UFO makes it sound somewhat like the Death Star. Perhaps it did come from a galaxy far, far away after all.

If today's aviation advances aren't moving fast enough for you — tray table technology hasn't budged in decades — you'll want to check out the futuristic visions of Spanish industrial designer Oscar Viñals.
The Flash Falcon is a future concept jetliner powered by portable fusion reactors. That technology isn't here yet, of course, but Viñals kind of specializes in "what if?" scenarios.
After all, this is the man who brought us the Sky Whale passenger airliner and the enormous GIGAbay cargo plane.
Viñals' latest creation is currently featured on the design-forward website Tuvie, which is a fun place to browse any day of the week, really. In additions to a collection of rather gorgeous images, Viñals provides some technical details on his space-age concept aircraft.
The Flash Falcon design envisions a future where small fusion reactors can power advanced and incredibly powerful electric-combustion (EC) engines. Thrust is generated by superconductive fans along with special combustion chambers.
The Flash Falcon's engines would be flexible and powerful enough to enable vertical take-off and landing. At cruising altitudes, the aircraft could easily attain supersonic speeds up to Mach 3. That will get you from New York to Paris in about three hours.
In its current design iteration, the Flash Falcon could carry upwards of 250 passengers on two roomy decks. The wings are designed to be flexible as well, and can change their angle of inclination in relation to the central fuselage.
Up in the cockpit, holographic windows give the pilots expanded views and control options. Viñals has even included a theoretical "Sound Boom Eraser System" for muffling the noise generated when the aircraft penetrates the sound barrier.

A team led by researchers at Harvard's Wyss Institute have created a 3D metal printer that uses laser-assisted direct ink technology, allowing users to create metallic structures made out of silver mid-air.
OVERCOMING LIMITATIONS BY INNOVATION
From human bones to jet engine parts, products made through 3D printing technology have been increasingly transforming our world. The potential is limitless, and perhaps, at some point, it may no longer be a question of “what else can it print?” but “how else can we print?”
In a recent press release, scientists from Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering announce that they have just constructed a new 3D printer that could spew out conductive metallic ink at the microscale, possibly leading to more complex architectures and electronic devices.
It also has the ability to print objects in mid-air. By printing in mid-air, users can create freeform objects and patterns that were not possible using traditional 3D printers.
RE-ENGINEERING PRINTING
The team was led by Wyss Core Faculty member Jennifer Lewis, and she describes their technology as a “laser-assisted direct ink writing method,” in the report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The 3D metal printer has a nozzle that uses ink composed of silver nanoparticles, and as the ink is being sent out of the nozzle, it is also directly annealed through a precisely programmed laser.
The researchers indicate that this was devised with a heat transfer model to control the distance between the nozzle and the laser, allowing for the ‘on-the-fly’ printing. This level of control allows for the wires to be printed directly on plastic surfaces due to the localized laser heating.
Apart from that, the printer nozzle, which looks much like a pen, is capable of positioning along the x, y, and z axes. Combined with a rotary print stage, you could, in fact, create precise curvilinear shapes like butterfly wire frames.
The silver wires were noted to exhibit excellent electrical conductivity, which the researchers believe could lead to nearly limitless applications. Highly customized electronics, wearables, biomedical devices, and various architectures are just some of the imagined products that this printer could bring the world of technology.
Ultimately, the institute asserts that technology is a testament on how it’s still possible toinnovate current technologies, even ones as sophisticated as 3D printing.

Astronomers, biologists and other scientists are discussing the nature of alien intelligence during a daylong workshop on May 18, 2016, at the International Space Development Conference in Puerto Rico.
During the daylong workshop, called "The Intelligence of SETI: Cognition and Communication in Extraterrestrial Intelligence," astronomers, biologists and other researchers will discuss the best ways to craft a message that could potentially be understood by alien civilizations.
This effort will draw upon the incredible diversity of life on Earth, conference organizers and participants said.
"Philosophical questions aside, from a pragmatic perspective, if we are to send a message, we must design it in a way that it can be understood and used by the broadest range of forms that intelligent life could take," University of Washington biologists Dominic Sivitilli and David Gire said in a statement. "We can make substantial progress toward this goal by understanding the diversity of forms that intelligent life has taken on this planet."
For example, it's possible that sexual selection — which drives the evolution of traits that don't aid survival but do impress potential mates — has played a larger role in the development of human intelligence than "normal" natural selection, said biologist Anna Dornhaus of the University of Arizona.
"If this is true, then we should expect cognitive ability — i.e., learning, memory, abstraction and many other elements of intelligence — to be commonplace in the galaxy as they are among organisms on Earth," Dornhaus said in the same statement. "But 'exaggerated' intelligence, as in humans, may be a rare accident of chance, as rare as a peacock's tail."

The SETI workshop is part of the National Space Society's International Space Development Conference (ISDC), which takes place from today through Sunday (May 22) in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
"By launching ISDC 2016 with a daylong meeting on the nature of intelligence in the universe, we set the stage for an engaging conference that includes sessions on the habitability of other worlds, the latest research from Arecibo Observatory and updates on cutting-edge space missions like Breakthrough Starshot to Alpha Centauri (Pete Worden) and New Horizons to Pluto (Alan Stern)," said Dave Dressler, ISDC 2016 program chairman.

The chances are good that microbial life existed on Mars long ago, and sending astronauts to the Red Planet is the best way to find the evidence, NASA's chief scientist said.
Do you think life exists on Mars today?
Yes - The Red Planet is teeming with tiny microbes, we just haven't found them yet.
Yes - An advanced civilization lives below the surface, where we can't detect them.
No - Life never existed on Mars.
No - Mars once had life, but those organisms are long dead.
Though Mars is cold and dry today, the planet hosted liquid water on its surface for extended periods more than 3 billion years ago, Ellen Stofan pointed out during a talk Tuesday (May 17) at the Humans to Mars Summit in Washington, D.C.
"Those conditions on Mars, we know, were not that different from the conditions on Earth from when life evolved," she said. "And life evolved so quickly here on Earth, and in the oceans, that it gives the scientific community a fair amount of confidence that the same conditions did exist on Mars, and that life did evolve there. So how are we going to find it?" [The Search for Life on Mars (A Photo Timeline)]
Scientists know that life had evolved on Earth by 3.8 billion years ago, and a recent study suggested that the first microbes actually might have appeared by 4.1 billion years ago — just 440 million years after the planet formed.
Earth life-forms stayed simple for a long time after that; complex, multicellular organisms didn't get a firm foothold here until 800 million years ago or so. By that time, the Red Planet had long since lost most of its atmosphere, as well as its stable surface water. So the hunt for life on Mars should think small, Stofan said.
"We're not looking for skeletons; we're looking for fossil microbes — if [Mars] life did indeed go extinct," she said. "And those are going to be hard to find."
Indeed, field geologists here on Earth can study rocks rich in fossil microbes but never see the tiny structures, said Stofan, who is a geologist. Therefore, she thinks robots won't be able to do the job by themselves on Mars, especially considering how high the burden of proof will be for such an epochal discovery.
"I strongly believe we will never settle this question of determining whether or not there's life on Mars unless we get human scientists down onto the surface of the Red Planet," Stofan said.
No planet is more steeped in myth and misconception than Mars. This quiz will reveal how much you really know about some of the goofiest claims about the red planet.
The search for Mars life is, therefore, a strong motivation for putting boots on the Red Planet, which NASA aims to do by 2040. But there are other drivers as well, Stofan said.
"Every time I go out into a classroom — whether it was a D.C. high school I went to last week, elementary schools around the world — you ask those kids, 'Do you want to go to Mars?' And over half the room raises their hand," she said. "So let's get this done. Let's go to Mars."
Een groep sterrenkundigen van Sterrenwacht Leiden zoekt naar sterrenstelsels aan de rand van het waarneembare heelal. Maar wat is de rand van het heelal? En waarom kunnen we niet verder kijken?
Zoeken naar sterrenstelsels aan de rand van ons waarneembare heelal. Dat is waar een groep sterrenkundigen van de Sterrewacht Leiden, waar ik mijn promotieonderzoek deed, zich mee bezig houdt. Maar wat is de rand van het heelal? Het heelal is tenslotte oneindig groot. Maar hoe verder we het heelal inkijken, hoe verder we terugkijken in de tijd. Kort na de oerknal was het heelal ondoorzichtig omdat alle materie, voornamelijk waterstof en helium, in geïoniseerde toestand verkeerde. 380.000 jaar na de oerknal was de temperatuur van het heelal zo ver gedaald dat de waterstofionen elektronen konden invangen en er voor het eerst atomen ontstonden. We noemen dit proces recombinatie. Lichtstralen konden zich nu voor het eerst vrij door de ruimte bewegen en het heelal werd doorzichtig. Daarom kunnen we niet verder terugkijken dan 380.000 jaar na de oerknal. Voorbij deze ‘grens’ zien we niets meer. De ruimte houdt niet op, maar de tijd en de eindige leeftijd van het heelal begrenzen tot hoever we kunnen kijken. Binnen die grens bevindt zich het waarneembare universum.
“HET LICHT VAN STERRENSTELSELS AAN DE RAND VAN ONS HEELAL IS VAAK WEL 13,4 MILJARD JAAR ONDERWEG OM ONS TE BEREIKEN”
Lang onderweg Het licht van sterrenstelsels aan de rand van ons heelal is vaak wel 13,4 miljard jaar onderweg om ons te bereiken. Dat is 97% van de tijd sinds de oerknal. Dit betekent niet dat de huidige afstand tussen ons en deze sterrenstelsels ook 13,4 miljard lichtjaar is. Sinds het uitzenden van dat licht is het heelal namelijk flink uitgedijd en het stelsel staat nu dus veel verder dan 13,4 miljard lichtjaar van ons vandaan. Ook zien deze sterrenstelsels er vandaag de dag niet meer uit zoals ze op ons computerscherm achter de telescoop verschijnen. Met de tijd zullen de sterrenstelsels zijn gegroeid, samengesmolten met hun naaste buren en misschien zijn het zelfs wel rode en ‘dode’ stelsels geworden, waarin geen stervorming meer plaatsvindt. Dat weten we pas over vele miljarden jaren wanneer het licht dat nu deze stelsels verlaat bij ons op aarde is aangekomen.
De Melkweg.
Baby-Melkweg Op dezelfde manier zou er nu een beschaving kunnen zijn in dit sterrenstelsel aan de rand van het heelal dat terug in de tijd kijkt naar onze Melkweg. Ze zien daar niet onze prachtige geordende spiraalarmen en roterende schijf, maar onze Melkweg hoe die er 13.4 miljard jaar geleden uitzag. Waarschijnlijk was de baby-Melkweg een klein hoopje sterren dat verder veel turbulent gas bevatte. Wij zullen onze eigen geschiedenis nooit direct zien, wél die van andere stelsels in het vroege universum, sterrenstelsels die nu misschien wel op ons lijken. Daarmee kunnen we toch iets over onze eigen geschiedenis leren.
Het reïonisatietijdperk De sterrenstelsels in het vroege heelal waar we naar zoeken bevinden zich in het zogenoemde reïonisatietijdperk. De fase in de geschiedenis van het heelal die na de hierboven beschreven recombinatie volgt, toen het heelal gevuld was met neutraal waterstofgas, wordt vaak met ‘het donkere tijdperk’ aangeduid (zie de afbeelding hieronder). Sterren waren er toen nog niet. Zij ontstonden pas een paar honderd miljoen jaar na de oerknal en kort daarop waren de eerste sterrenstelsels een feit. Deze sterrenstelsels kunnen wij nu in principe zien aan de rand van het waarneembare heelal.

Raadsel in de sterrenkunde De geboorte van deze sterrenstelsels valt samen met het begin van het herionisatietijdperk. De eerste sterren en sterrenstelsels produceerden zoveel energierijke ultraviolette straling dat bijna al het neutrale waterstof in het heelal opnieuw in losse ionen en elektronen gesplitst werd. Deze faseovergang van het kosmische gas vormt al decennia lang een van grootste raadsels in de sterrenkunde. We zien de toestand van het gas veranderen in de metingen van vroege quasars (actieve zwarte gaten die omringende materie opslokken en daarbij enorme hoeveelheden energie vrijmaken), maar hoe het mogelijk is dat de kleine baby-stelsels uit die tijdsperiode genoeg energierijke straling kunnen produceren om het waterstofgas in het heelal opnieuw te ioniseren, is zeker nog niet duidelijk. Er zijn aanwijzingen dat de eerste sterren in het heelal uitzonderlijk zwaar en heet waren en daardoor voldoende ioniserende straling produceerden (zie de afbeelding hieronder). Of misschien was het de vrijgemaakte energie door de eerste quasars en andere materieopslokkende zwarte gaten.

Pas sinds een aantal jaar zijn we in staat om sterrenstelsels uit het reïonisatietijdperk te identificeren. Dit is zeker geen makkelijk karwei, maar omdat deze stelsels ons zoveel kunnen leren over deze vroege fase uit de geschiedenis van het heelal en de geschiedenis van onze eigen Melkweg, wordt er veel geïnvesteerd in dit onderzoek.
DIE STIPJES ZIJN BIJNA ALTIJD STERRENSTELSELS DIE HEEL VER WEG STAAN EN WAARVAN HET LICHT AL MILJARDEN JAREN NAAR ONS ONDERWEG IS
Stipjes in de ruis De eerste stap in het speuren naar sterrenstelsels aan de rand van het heelal is het zoeken naar de meest lichtzwakke objecten aan de hemel. De beroemde Hubble Space Telescope is daar uitstekend toe in staat. Elk jaar stelt het Hubble Space Telescope Science Institute een gedeelte van haar data vrij beschikbaar aan het publiek zodat sterrenkundigen (maar ook niet-sterrenkundigen) daar optimaal gebruik van kunnen maken en iedereen de mogelijkheid heeft om zelf naar de meest interessante objecten te zoeken. Een aantal gebieden aan de hemel zijn door de jaren heen zo vaak waargenomen dat de opgetelde belichtingstijd meer dan 100 uur beslaat. Door vele Hubble-opnames in de computer bij elkaar samen te voegen kunnen we de achtergrondruis steeds verder onderdrukken en zien we opeens allerlei piepkleine stipjes verschijnen. Die stipjes zijn bijna altijd sterrenstelsels die heel ver weg staan en waarvan het licht al miljarden jaren naar ons onderweg is.

De kleur bepalen De volgende stap is om met grote precisie de kleur van een sterrenstelsel te bepalen. Hoe verder een stelsel van ons af staat, hoe meer de golflengten van het licht zijn uitgerekt als gevolg van de uitdijing van het heelal. Het uitgerekte licht van vroege sterrenstelsels heeft nu een veel rodere kleur dan toen het werd uitgezonden. We spreken daarom van roodverschuiving. Hoe roder de kleur, hoe groter de afstand van het sterrenstelsel, hoe langer het licht van dat stelsel naar ons onderweg is en hoe verder wij het stelsel terug zien in de tijd. Door de rode kleur van sterrenstelsels te kwantificeren kunnen we zien uit welke tijdsperiode van het heelal het licht van een sterrenstelsel afkomstig is. Voor dit soort waarnemingen heeft Hubble camera’s met verschillende filters die voor de opnamechip geplaatst kunnen worden. Deze kleurenfilters laten heel specifieke golflengten door, bijvoorbeeld alleen blauw, groen of rood licht. Vervolgens proberen we zo nauwkeurig mogelijk de helderheid van een sterrenstelsel te meten door verschillende filters. Typisch worden zo’n 4 tot 7 opnames met verschillende filters gebruikt om een goede kleurbepaling te doen. Zo kunnen we de meest rode lichtbronnen en daarmee de beste kandidaten voor sterrenstelsels uit het reïonisatietijdperk uitselecteren.
Afstandsbepalingen met spectroscopie Een kleurbepaling levert alleen een schatting van de afstand van een sterrenstelsel op het moment dat het licht uitgezonden werd. Voor nauwkeurigere afstandsbepaling willen we met grote precisie de roodverschuiving meten. Dit doen we door gebruik te maken van spectraallijnen van verschillende atomen in het interstellaire gas van een sterrenstelsel. De golflengte waarop de spectraallijnen van een bepaald atoom worden uitgezonden staat vast en vormt een unieke vingerafdruk van dat element. Een gevoelige spectrograaf kan zelfs in sterrenstelsels aan de rand van het heelal deze spectraallijnen waarnemen. Zo kunnen we een directe vergelijking maken van de golflengte waarop de lijn in het verre sterrenstelsel waargenomen is en welke golflengte deze lijn in een aards laboratorium heeft. Het verschil tussen de twee golflengtes vertelt ons met zeer hoge nauwkeurigheid de roodverschuiving van het sterrenstelsel.
Lyman-alpha Het overvloedig aanwezige waterstofgas in het heelal ‘produceert’ duidelijke spectraallijnen. De belangrijkste waterstoflijn heet Lyman-alpha, op een golflengte (zonder roodverschuiving) van 121.6 nanometer (nm). Door de hoge roodverschuiving meten we deze lijn in sterrenstelsels in het vroege universum typisch rond de 1000 nm. We vergelijken dit met het licht dat het menselijk oog waarneemt. De kleuren van de regenboog liggen in het golflengtegebied tussen 380 en 780 nm. De Lyman-alpha-lijn van waterstofgas straalt hier op aarde in het voor ons onzichtbare ultraviolette deel van het spectrum, maar verschuift helemaal naar het nabije infrarood voor deze verre sterrenstelsels waar het opnieuw onzichtbaar is voor onze ogen. Tot een paar jaar geleden werd Lyman-alpha veelvuldig gebruikt om vervolgonderzoek te doen aan sterrenstelsels die met Hubble waren geïdentificeerd als belangrijke kandidaat-stelsels in het vroege heelal. De afstanden van deze extreem verre stelsels werden bepaald met state-of-the-art nabij-infraroodspectrografen. Deze sterrenstelsels werden echter gevonden in de tijdsperiode nét na het reïonisatietijdperk. In het reïonisatietijdperk komen nog steeds grote hoeveelheden neutraal waterstofgas verspreid in het heelal voor. Neutraal waterstof absorbeert het Lyman-alpha-licht, zodat de eerste sterren en sterrenstelsels die tijdens het reïonisatietijdperk op het kosmische toneel verschenen, voor ons onzichtbaar blijven. Het neutrale waterstofgas in het reïonisatietijdperk is te vergelijken met de mist van het kosmische ochtendgloren waar we nauwelijks doorheen kunnen kijken.

James Webb Telescope Het is daarom uitermate moeilijk om sterrenstelsels in het reïonisatietijdperk te identificeren met behulp van waterstoflijnen. Hoewel het theoretisch mogelijk is om sterrenstelsels te identificeren met behulp van andere atomaire spectraallijnen, zijn er op dit moment geen instrumenten die gevoelig genoeg zijn en in het juiste golflengtegebied opereren voor deze waarnemingen. We hopen dat over een paar jaar hierin verandering zal komen met de lancering van de James Webb Space Telescope, maar tot die tijd zijn we voornamelijk van Lyman-alpha afhankelijk. Voorlopig blijft daarom de vraag: is het lage succesgehalte van het opsporen van verre sterrenstelsels met Lyman-alpha het gevolg van de absorptie door neutraal waterstof of is onze voorselectie die we met Hubble maken nog niet goed genoeg? Het nemen van spectra kan alleen via lange belichtingstijden met grote aardse telescopen, waardoor het belangrijk is om alleen de meest veelbelovende kandidaten te onderzoeken. Want hoe beter je selectie van kandidaat-sterrenstelsels door middel van een kleurenanalyse, hoe groter de kans op een succesvolle spectroscopische identificatie.

Spitzer Space Telescope In Leiden maken we de laatste paar jaar naast Hubble steeds meer gebruik van deSpitzer Space Telescope. Spitzer heeft een veel kleinere spiegel, slecht 85 cm in diameter in plaats van 2.4 m zoals Hubble, maar heeft als voordeel dat de telescoop, anders dan Hubble, kan waarnemen in het verre infrarood. In mijn promotieonderzoek werkte ik veel met verre infraroodopnames van Spitzer. Er werd lang gedacht dat de infraroodstraling die we met Spitzer in sterrenstelsels waarnemen, vooral afkomstig is van sterren met een lage massa. Kleine, lichte sterren zijn minder heet en stralen daardoor het grootste deel van hun licht in het infrarood uit. Omdat er veel meer lichte sterren zijn dan zware, kun je de totale massa aan sterren in een sterrenstelsel meten door te kijken naar de totale hoeveelheid straling in het verre infrarood. Tijdens mijn promotieonderzoek voerde ik met Spitzer deze massabepaling uit op (kandidaat)sterrenstelsels uit het reïonisatietijdperk. Tijdens dat werk deed ik een onverwachte ontdekking: er bleek ‘extra’ flux (stralingsintensiteit) aanwezig te zijn in één van de opnames van Spitzer, genomen met één specifiek filter. De extra flux was duidelijk niet aanwezig in opnames met andere kleurenfilters. Na alle andere opties uitgesloten te hebben kwamen we tot de conclusie dat het extra licht afkomstig moet zijn van de spectraallijnen van zuurstofatomen in het hete gas rondom pasgeboren sterren.
Nader onderzoek Waarom dit licht zo sterk is, is nog niet duidelijk en wordt nog nader onderzocht. Maar nu we weten dat het hete gas in deze sterrenstelsels zoveel licht uitstraalt in het verre infrarood, moeten we daar zeker rekening mee houden in ons onderzoek. Ten eerste is het belangrijk dat we onze massabepalingen van sterrenstelsels niet laten beïnvloeden door deze onverwachte lichtbron. Daarnaast geeft het hete gas ons een extra mogelijkheid voor het identificeren van sterrenstelsels in het reïonisatietijdperk. De verste sterrenstelsels hebben namelijk het meest roodverschoven licht en dat geldt dus ook voor het ‘extra’ licht van het hete gas dat we waarnemen in de opnames met bepaalde Spitzer-filters.
Hoge lichtintensiteit Een groep wetenschappers in Leiden, Rychard Bouwens, Ivo Labbé, Mauro Stefanon, master-student Guido Roberts-Borsani en ikzelf, hebben verschillende Spitzer-opnames van sterrenstelsels onderzocht. Van deze stelsels vermoedden we al dat ze zich in het reïonisatietijdperk bevonden omdat de kleurmeting met Hubble daar op wees. Maar daarnaast hadden sommige sterrenstelsels ook een heel hoge lichtintensiteit in de opname met het meest rode filter van Spitzer. Een meting die bijna identiek was aan de sterrenstelsels met zuurstof-spectraallijnen die we al eerder hadden waargenomen, maar dan nóg verder roodverschoven! Deze ontdekking was de aanleiding voor een aantal vervolgwaarnemingen in samenwerking met wetenschappers Pascal Oesch (Yale University) en Adi Zitrin (Caltech) in de Verenigde Staten om te proberen een gedetailleerde afstandsbepaling te doen van de drie meest veelbelovende sterrenstelsels.
EEN VAN DEZE STELSELS, DATEREND VAN SLECHTS 650 MILJOEN JAAR NA DE OERKNAL, BRAK HET AFSTANDSRECORD
Het verste sterrenstelsel ooit Sinds 2013 was het record van het verste sterrenstelsel ooit gemeten en bevestigd met een Lyman-alpha-lijn op 1034 nm, in handen van een stelsel waarvan het licht 700 miljoen jaar na de oerknal was vertrokken. Het stelsel werd opgespoord door Steven Finkelstein van de universiteit van Austin, Texas, met behulp van de Amerikaanse Keck-telescoop op Hawaï. Steven onderzocht een klein dozijn sterrenstelsels en kon slechts bij één daarvan de afstand vaststellen. Om dit record te verbeteren kreeg Pascal Oesch waarneemtijd op dezelfde Keck-telescoop tijdens de nachten van 23 en 25 april 2014. Twee kandidaat-sterrenstelsels, eerder achterhaald met zowel Hubble als Spitzer, werden waargenomen, en verrassend genoeg ontdekte Oesch de Lyman-alpha-lijn in beide stelsels op 1031 en 1062 nm. Een van deze stelsels, EGS-zs8-1, dateerde van slechts 650 miljoen jaar na de oerknal en brak het afstandsrecord (zie hieronder).

Aangemoedigd door dit succes kreeg Adi Zitrin opnieuw de kans om op 10 en 11 juni 2015 een derde sterrenstelsel uit dezelfde Hubble en Spitzer-selectie te bestuderen met Keck. Opnieuw werd de Lyman-alpha lijn-vastgesteld, deze keer zelfs op 1178 nm. Het licht van dit stelsel, EGSY8p7, werd uitgezonden toen het heelal minder dan 600 miljoen jaar oud was (figuur 4 en 5). De identificatie van de ‘extra’ Spitzer-flux, veroorzaakt door het hete gas in stervormingsgebieden van extreem verre sterrenstelsels heeft in korte tijd grote gevolgen gehad voor de studie van deze stelsels aan de rand van het waarneembare heelal. Niet alleen deze nieuwe afstandsrecords zijn opmerkelijk, maar vooral de efficiëntie van het onderzoek: drie geselecteerde sterrenstelsels leverden drie Lyman-alpha-lijnen op waarmee de afstand kon worden bepaald. Betwisten deze ontdekkingen ons beeld dat neutraal waterstof in het reïonisatietijdperk Lyman-alpha absorbeert? Hoe kan het dat voorgaande studies slechts een efficiëntie van 5% konden bereiken?
Het verre sterrenstelsel, EGSY8p7, ontstond toen het heelal nog maar 550 miljoen jaar oud was. Deze recordhouder is ontdekt in afbeeldingen van de Hubble- en Spitzer-ruimtetelescopen. De bijzonder rode kleur in de infraroodafbeelding van Spitzer was aanleiding om het stelsel nader te onderzoeken. Het raadsel van de geïoniseerde bubbels Het waargenomen Lyman-alpha-licht in deze extreem verre sterrenstelsels is afkomstig uit het reïonisatietijdperk en stelt ons voor een raadsel. We weten dat er veel absorberend neutraal waterstof aanwezig was in het heelal rond die tijd, maar duidelijk zijn niet alle gebieden van het vroege universum compleet gevuld met dit gas. Want anders zouden we stelsels als EGS-zs8-1 en EGSY8p7 nooit kunnen waarnemen.

Hypothese Eén mogelijke hypothese is dat deze sterrenstelsels zelf genoeg ioniserende straling hebben uitgezonden voor het vormen van een grote ‘bubbel’ of bel van geïoniseerd gas rondom het stelsel. De Lyman-alpha-straling kan deze bel ongehinderd doorkruisen, maar wordt onderweg roodverschoven – en verliest daardoor energie – als gevolg van de uitdijing van het heelal. Tegen de tijd dat het licht een gaswolk van neutraal waterstof tegenkomt kan die het Lyman-alpha-licht niet meer absorberen: de energie van de fotonen is daarvoor nu te laag. Dat lukt alleen als de bel een voldoende grote afmeting heeft. Tijdens de reis van het Lyman-alpa-licht door de bel moet de afgelegde afstand en de reistijd groot genoeg zijn om de expansie van het heelal zijn werk te laten doen. De roodverschuiving moet immers groot genoeg zijn om te voorkomen dat de straling in de ‘mist’ van het neutrale waterstof voorbij de grens van de geïoniseerde bubbel verdwijnt.
Hoe ontstaat zo’n bubbel? De vraag is nu: hoe is deze geïoniseerde bubbel ontstaan? Waar komt de ioniserende straling vandaan om dergelijke reusachtige bellen te vormen? Misschien bestaat er een verband met de mysterieuze spectraallijnen van zuurstof die deze drie sterrenstelsels hebben. Deze lijnen zijn afkomstig van het hete gas rondom de stervormingsgebieden in deze stelsels. Het zou kunnen dat in deze sterrenstelsels extreem hete sterren geboren worden die overmatig veel ioniserende ultraviolette straling produceren. Een aantal kandidaten zoals snel roterende sterren en massieve binaire sterren zijn voorgesteld, maar bewijs vinden voor één van deze theorieën is heel moeilijk. Misschien zal de James Webb-telescoop uitsluitsel geven.
Alternatief Een alternatieve hypothese voor de geïoniseerde bubbels zegt dat deze sterrenstelsels in een redelijk ver gevorderd stadium van hun evolutie verkeren. De grote helderheid van deze stelsels kan daarop wijzen. Ver ontwikkelde sterrenstelsels vormen vaak groepen en leven dus in overbevolkte gebieden. Dat zou betekenen dat er meerdere sterrenstelsels in de buurt moeten zijn en dat de gezamenlijke straling van deze groep sterrenstelsels een bel van geïoniseerd gas kan produceren. Om deze theorie te bevestigen zal er nog veel meer telescooptijd moeten worden geïnvesteerd, aangezien de sterrenstelsels in de directe nabijheid van onze nieuw ontdekte stelsels veel lichtzwakker zijn.
Voor onze onderzoeksgroep bestaat de eerstvolgende stap uit het verzamelen van een grotere steekproef van dit soort sterrenstelsels. We hebben meer kandidaten met Spitzer geselecteerd en nieuwe waarneemtijd is toegewezen aan Ivo Labbé door de European Southern Observatory om met de Very Large Telescope in Chili naar Lyman-alpha te zoeken in deze sterrenstelsels. We komen stapje voor stapje dichter bij het oplossen van het raadsels van het reionisatietijdperk en het vinden van sterrenstelsels in het meest vroege stadium van het heelal.

While past presidents and presidential candidates have joked about UFOs, Hillary Clinton is one of the first mainstream candidates to promise disclosure of classified Area 51, UFO and Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAP) documents should she be elected president.
“I want to open the files as much as we can,” Clinton said in a recent radio interview. In the wake of a New York Times article that brought renewed attention to Clinton’s most unexpected campaign commitment, President Barack Obama’s White House was asked to respond.
The answer, from President Obama’s press secretary Josh Earnest, will disappoint UFO enthusiasts still hoping for disclosure on the federal level:
“I have to admit, I don’t have a tab for Area 51 in my briefing book today,” Earnest began. After a joke from the press corp. Earnest proposed a “grand conspiracy” to keep him from answering the question thoroughly.
“I’m not aware of any plans the President has to make public any information about this,” Earnest said, ending hope that UFO disclosure will come from the White House in 2016.
Steve Bassett, executive director of The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, believes Hillary Clinton’s openness on the issue will prompt the Obama administration to disclose classified extraterrestrial information. “Clinton’s presidential campaign and her connection to the ET issue may offer the best chance to end the truth embargo on the ET issue,” Bassett said. “Obama will be the Disclosure president — hopefully well before the November election.”
Not only has Clinton evinced a past interest in extraterrestrials — in 1995 she was photographed carrying Are We Alone?: Philosophical Implications of the Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life by Paul Davies (above) — but she’ll also have the backing of campaign chairman John Podesta, who has crusaded for the release of government information on unexplained aerial phenomena for decades.
While previous presidential administrations, Obama’s included, have treated declassification of Area 51 and UAP files as a joke, a Clinton presidency might at least take the demand seriously.

The Keeper of The Sanctuary Tells Us of Ancient Giants and UFOs
There’s a place in Romania where unusual sightings occur on a regular basis. From animated UFO sightings to spooky events that seem to defy all logic.
Located on a remote pasture in the Arges county, the mystical place dubbed “The Sanctuary” offers a panoramic view of the neighboring mountain chain of Bucegi, renowned for the numerous out-of-place artefacts discovered there, but also for their richness in gold.
Not far from here lies “The Sphinx,” an ancient monument considered to be a natural formation that strongly resembles the face of a human being. Legend has it that Zamolxis – the god of the ancient Romanian people (the Dacians), made his home and sanctuary beneath these mountains. Different accounts speak of how Zamolxis vanished deep within the labyrinth of caves to consult with his oracles about the faith of the vast region governed by him.
In 2009, the book Transylvanian Sunrise was published, causing an unprecedented debate among conspiracy theorists. The co-author of the book, Peter Moon, claimed to have worked in tandem with a secret intelligence officer of the Romanian government who revealed to him classified information about an unusual discovery dug-up by the Pentagon. The book reads the following.
“In 2003, the Pentagon discovered through the use of satellite technology, an anomaly beneath this ancient sphinx. Through the highest levels of Freemasonry, the Pentagon was able to secure an alliance with the most secret department of the Romanian Intelligence Service which is known as Department Zero.”
The find consisted in massive underground tunnels that led the U.S and Romanian governments to ancient and advanced technology. Some claimed they have found a Vimana, while others speak of a stargate, or a holographic hall of records buried underneath the Sphinx. Although the book is considered pure fiction by many, the possibility of such a discovery is extremely likely, and here is why:
First of all, there are countless local legends speaking of this mythical place. There are hundreds of unexplored caves alongside the mountain range of Bucegi, not counting the ones already discovered.
Secondly, there’s a written account dating from the First World War telling how the peasants from Dobrogea were using underground tunnels that stretched thousands of kilometers beneath the Black Sea. Through these underground passages they lead their herds of sheep into Turkey and Asia Minor, where they would sell them for a considerable profit.
There are two known entrances in the region of Dobrogea, but are now sealed due to national security reasons. The underground passage could be linked to the ancient tunnels that have recently been discovered in the Cappadocia region of Turkey, making this story less likely to be just a myth or coincidence.
In the 80s, a group of men working on the canal that unites the river Danube to the Black Sea, stumbled across another entrance that carried them from Romania to Bulgaria underneath the vast mass of water. All these tremendous discoveries are being suppressed by the Romanian and foreign governments.
However, there are many historians who acknowledge the long heritage of the Romanian people and the mysterious ways their ancestors ruled over the land thousands of years ago. According to Marja Gimbutas, professor at U.C.L.A, their bloodline stretches a considerable span of time.
“Romania is the hearth of what I name Old Europe, a cultural entity of 6.500 – 3.500 B.C., based on a matriarchal society, theocratic, peaceful, loving and creators of art, that preceded the patriarchal Indo-European societies of warriors from the bronze and iron age. It became evident that this ancient European civilization precedes the Sumerian by millennia. It was a period of harmony, in full agreement with the creator energies of nature.”
Of course, there are also the clay tablets discovered at Tartaria which bear an old writing similar to that of the Sumerians, but since they were dated to about 6,000 B.C., it directly contradicts the general accepted theory according to which the first writings belonged to the Sumerians and ancient Egyptians. Marco Merlini, an Italian archaeologists who studied the artefacts in detail, expressed his point of view:
“The bones, as well as the tablets are very old. It is a certainty. It is our turn to think that writing began in Europe, 2.000 years before the Sumerian writing. In Romania we have a great treasure, but it does not belong only to Romania, but to the whole of Europe.”
THE SANCTUARY
The twisted road led me to this hidden valley surrounded by cliffs and dense forests. I can barely settle because of the dazzling view, but maybe all this enthusiasm is because the place I’m about to visit promises to offer an even more impressive panorama. Only a few miles down the road and I see the first cave, suspended on a steep crag. Its broad entrance makes my sporadic curiosity go beyond the present, thinking of how easily an ancient civilization could had used that place to outlive a global catastrophe.
Although I have expected the cave to be a tourist attraction by now, the close-up view revealed through the binocular lenses disclosed that it was in fact a remote cave that couldn’t be accessed without special mountaineering equipment. At this point, the legendary feeling of the place was slowly becoming a reality.
The Keeper awaited me at the base of the hill. From there, we followed the path until we reached the high pastures. The world I knew vanished entirely after reaching the Sanctuary.
The tranquility of the place couple up with the breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape gave me a feeling of immortality, but not for me, this for this hidden wonder that passed the test of time, remaining unaltered after countless wars and an industrial revolution. Now I see why sky-watchers and conspirators alike gather here to exchange knowledge and investigate the UFO phenomenon.
Our host, Welcica, had once been a man of faith. Like every other Romanian, he had deep Christian roots transmitted from one generation to the other, but after the answers provided by religion were not enough to satisfy his thirst for universal knowledge, he was guided to this place where he would undergo a substantial transformation. A few years spent up here had shown him at least a dozen unexplained aerial phenomenon, and I’m not talking about the usual chem spraying riffraff we all know about.
Q: What was the most consistent UFO experience you’ve had up here?
A: I don’t have to think much about that, as I’ll never forget what I’ve witnessed back in 2014. The encounter was overwhelming. I am glad that I’m still here to tell the tale.
Q: You’re insinuating that your life was put in peril by a UFO encounter? Would you mind going into more details?
A: It was about …. When I was sitting relaxed on the porch together with two conspirators. We were discussing about the giant bones unearthed not far from here when one of us saw a strange light up in the horizon. At first, we didn’t pay much attention to it and carried on with our conversation, but as soon as every dog on the valley started barking, we pointed our eyes towards the sky. Now, I told you this place is strategically put, like the center of cauldron with rocky walls. You can only access it through where you came from, where the valleys are opening up. There we saw this bright, circular light that was slowly hovering over the lowlands. It was heading towards us, and as it did, the barking of the dogs became even louder.
Q: Could you break down the UFO a bit?
A: Before doing this, I would like to mention that it did not give me an overall feeling of safety. It looked light a sphere of light, but as it was moving, pieces from it seemed to be missing. It was not a complete sphere, but more like a liquid object swimming through the air. It continued to hover over the valley until it reached a point about 200-300 meters from where we were standing. Now I could see it better. Whenever it moved, its shape was vibrating and changing at the same time. I could see waves fluctuating out of its energy shield, almost like it was alive.
Q: So what distressed you about this encounter?
A: When it was close enough, I could see the faint, conic shape of another light emitted by the UFO. It strongly resembled a flashlight scouting in the dark. Then I realized it was looking for something, or maybe scanning the area. The tip of the iceberg was when the luminous sphere directed its light towards us. It stopped at about 150 meters on the right side of the cabin and scanned the face of my friend. My buddies and I were frozen in place at this point, unable to think of a reaction. The moment only lasted for approximately 5 seconds. Afterwards, the sphere took flight over the hill, slowly descending for the nearby village. It continued to move up and down without following a specific pattern.
Q: That’s a fascinating story. Do you have any viable explanation for it in mind?
A: At first I thought of it being some sort of military device, considering that they own technology far ahead of our time and also have several secret bases located in the mountains nearby. But after debating this with the other two witnesses, we’ve reached the conclusion of it being a living organism. It was very peculiar: the way it moved, morphed and reacted to the environment.
Q: Are there other notable experiences you would like to share?
A: I see strange things on a regular basis here. UFOs are something common, and I can now distinguish between what’s what, but this incident that I’ve mentioned beats the others by far. However, I sometimes see this red dot that’s locking on certain airplanes. It follows them and it doesn’t leave any visible trail behind. I suspect this to be a military device though.
The Hyperborean Gallery and Traces of Ancient Technology
Discussing certain ideas with The Keeper has lead me to the conclusion that he is more than a common online-reading conspirator. In fact, some of his stories are based on real experiences and thorough research that he’s done throughout the years. To cut this short, I’ll tell you about how he contributed to defending an area piled up with artefacts of extreme importance to cultural and world heritage.
Rosia Montana is a small town in Transylvania with an ongoing mining operation. The prospected materials (at least on the surface) are gold, silver, and precious stones that can be found in abundance in the Apuseni Mountains. Because mining involves a lot of digging, certain out-of-place items were discovered there, among the most interesting being the skeletal remains of a 10 meter (32.8 feet) tall giant unearthed back in 1976. (Check out the man standing next to the colossal skeleton to understand the huge proportions).
Approximately 5,500 years ago, the Agathyrsi – the ancient people of this area, constructed a complex gallery of underground tunnels. Various sources claim these tunnels led to a dome-like structure located deep within the Bucegi mountain range.
This ancient place, dubbed “The Hyperborean Gallery” or “Gallery 13”, was found underneath the Cornea village, the same place where Ceausescu – the Romanian communist dictator, discovered several giant bones and weapons in 1976. The remains were sent to Moscow because the Romanian state lacked the means to analyze them, but the Russian observations were never to arrive. There are only a few photos left that remind of the extraordinary find.
Fast forward to February 2012, when another remarkable discovery was dug up by a group of geologists operating not far from the location of Gallery 13. While following a certain gold vein, they stumbled upon an unusual gravestone made from different materials. A sample was sent for further investigations, and the results revealed that the composition of the tombstone included 55% gold dust, 15% granite dust and 30% wolfram, but the icing on the cake was the technique used in the carving process – declared unknown to this day.
The relic unearthed in 2012 shared a similar fate to the artifacts discovered in 1976 and no one knows its exact whereabouts. Measurements revealed its staggering proportions – six meters (19.7) wide, twelve meters (39.4 feet) long and three meters (9.8 feet) tall. It weighed close to 1,700 tons, containing about 900 tons of solid gold. To make another comparison, it would have taken the ancients more than twenty years to mine such a considerable amount of gold. The gravestone ended up in 80 small pieces because otherwise, it couldn’t had been transported.
Probably the most intriguing find occurred upon lifting of the gravestone, where archaeologists discovered an ample entrance on the bottom of the grave. A four meter (13.1 feet) diameter pit with a coiled stairway descending into another room illuminated by a mysterious milky-violet light was then revealed to the archaeological team. At first sight, the stairs appeared as carved into the wall using an extremely smooth and advanced method of laser precision. Although the overall discovery made the archaeological team really anxious, a daring volunteer decided to venture into the opening, but he was never to return from down there.
Accounts speak of how the army closed the entire Gallery 13 a few days later, sealing the underground pit under a dense layer of cement. Witnesses and those who participated in the expedition were obliged to sign confidentiality agreements and were never to speak of this unusual discovery ever again.
Although an official report has never been made available to the public, there are numerous rumors that succeeded in keeping the story alive. There is not much information available about what lies beyond the spiral staircase, but the swift intervention of the military indicates the radiant mechanism from within holds great power, possibly from the ancient dwellers of the Carpathian Mountains.

The reptilian and other entities, which are manipulating our world by possessing “human” bodies, operate in frequencies between the Third and Fourth densities.
These are referred to as “hidden spaces and planes unknown to man”, in the apparently ancient Emerald Tablets, which I quote from in “Children of the Matrix”. For simplicity, I refer to this “between world” in my books as the lower fourth dimension.
It is from here that they police our vibrational prison – the Matrix – and seek to addict and restrict us to the dense physical senses. This world was once far less dense than it is today and the “fall” down the frequencies, caused by the manipulation of incarnate consciousness and DNA infiltration, has made it so much more difficult to maintain a multi-dimensional connection while in physical form.
We are now in a cycle of change when the vibration of this “world” will be raised out of dense physicality and return to where it once was. In doing so, the reptilians’ ability to manipulate our physical form will be removed and this is why they are in such a panic at this time to prevent this shift from opening the vibrational prison door.
The reptilians and other manipulating entities exist only just outside the frequency range of our physical senses. Their own physical form has broken down and they can no longer re-produce.
Thus they have sought to infiltrate human form and so use that to exist and control in this dimension. They chose the Earth for this infiltration because it most resembles in vibration the locations from which they originate.
These reptilians are addicted to the dense physical “world” and the sensations it offers and they have no desire to advance higher. Their aim in this period is to stop the Earth and incarnate humanity from making the shift from dense physical prison into multi-dimensional paradise.
From what I understand, this dense physical world is caught in a manufactured time “loop”, in which “time” is a circle, constantly repeating itself. Note that one of the ancient symbols for “infinity” is the snake swallowing its own tail. The pentagram or five-pointed star, so prevalent in Satanism, is also symbolic of this unbroken “time” cycle, the vibrational prison.
The period we are now experiencing has, therefore, been played out before. We are just at that point again in the repeating circle or cycle, like a rat running on one of those wheels in a cage. No matter how fast it runs, it keeps covering the same ground. What we need to do is break the “time” circle and thus the prison.
We are now in that part of the circle that is most vulnerable to this because of the vibrational changes taking place in this part of the Universe and this is why the control of humans has tightened so rapidly in this period – they are doing everything they can to defend their prison from the awakening of the inmates.
The micro-chip is crucial to that.
Genetic Corruption
These reptilians and their allies have corrupted Earth DNA with their own and this genetic infiltration lies dormant until it is activated by the vibrational fields generated by the Illuminati secret society rituals, and others in the public eye like the carefully designed coronations and official ceremonies of many kinds, including even the UK State Opening of Parliament and certainly those of the various religions.
This activation is now also being inflicted upon the general population through technology on Earth and in space, no doubt, and this channeled entity said that the cloning program is there to develop designer bodies for the reptilians of the “in between world” that would not require the overpowering of an already incarnate consciousness.]
Once activated, the DNA opens the body to possession by these reptilians and other beings, and this is what is happening, for example, to Freemasons in the rituals that most of them deliver parrot fashion while having no idea of their vibrational significance. This is why the Illuminati are so obsessed with knowing a person’s bloodline. They know which have the potential for this activation and possession and which do not.
The Mormon Church genealogical data base and now the DNA data banks are designed to identify those with the bloodline.
These are the people who are given jobs and roles that serve the Illuminati agenda, while most of them have no idea what is really going on and what they are being used for. Their DNA is then activated and they go through a change of character (a phrase I have heard so many times in relation to such people once they advance in the system) and a very different consciousness takes over their mental and emotional processes
This is why it is so important for everyone to stay well clear of ritual, no matter how innocent it may appear on the surface. I would include “New Age” ritual in this, too. I don’t mean standing in a circle, connecting together and projecting loving thoughts, etc. I mean carefully constructed ritual that is constantly repeated, as with religious ceremony for example. I am beginning to realize why I have had a life-long aversion to taking part in ritual of any kind.
Each new generation of the Illuminati bloodline families is exposed to the appropriate ritual to activate their possession by the reptilian entities and so the cycle goes on. The phrase that comes to mind is “…forgive them for they know not what they do.”
P.S.: Apparently, this DNA infiltration is known within the inner circles of the British royal family as the “family disease”. They are actually in fear of it because they know that once it is activated they will be taken over.
But of course they are caught in a world of constant ritual and ceremony designed specifically to activate their possession. It is catch 22. Without the ritual they cannot be the royal family, but with the ritual they are activated and possessed. The thought and emotional processes of the UK’s Queen Mother are not those of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the little girl officially born into that body 101 years ago.
They are controlled by the reptilian entity or entities, which possessed her after the hybrid DNA activation.

Voor mensen die graag de routes en voortgang van vliegtuigen willen volgen, is het programma Flight Tracker een bekende naam.
Wat nou als daar een object verschijnt dat 100 keer sneller gaat dan een vliegtuig en later ook nog visueel wordt waargenomen?
Op 14 mei 2016 's morgens vroeg was er iets bijzonders aan de hand in de stad Auckland in Nieuw Zeeland.
Iemand had daar op z'n Flight Tracker app gekeken naar de bewegingen van vliegtuigen en zag tot zijn stomme verbazing een object met een enorme snelheid van Nieuw Zeeland naar de kust van Australië vliegen.
Vergeleken met de normale snelheid van de vliegtuigen ging dit object zo'n 100 keer sneller.
Daar bleef het niet bij want dit vreemde object werd diezelfde ochtend ook waargenomen door de weercamera’s die staan opgesteld in Auckland.
Wat het ook was, het werd beschreven als een klassieke retro UFO qua vorm en was volgens de getuigen absoluut geen vliegtuig.
