NASA's new asteroid-sampling mission will do a lot of interesting things, but helping prepare humanity for Earth's imminent destruction is not among them.
There is indeed a chance that the 1,650-foot-wide (500 meters) asteroid Bennu — the target of NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft, which is scheduled to launch next month — could hit Earth late in the 22nd century.
But, mission officials stressed, that chance is slim, and the space rock is not nearly big enough to pose an existential threat to the planet, despite what some media reports claimed over the weekend. [Potentially Dangerous Asteroids (Images)]
"We're not talking about an asteroid that could destroy the Earth," OSIRIS-REx principal investigator Dante Lauretta, of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona, told Space.com. "We're not anywhere near that kind of energy for an impact."
Armageddon' asteroid BENNU:Nasa to launch Osiris-Rex probe to Investigate
If all goes according to plan, the $800 million OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer) mission will lift off atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Florida's Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Sept. 8.
The spacecraft will spend two years chasing Bennu down, finally rendezvousing with the near-Earth asteroid in August 2018. OSIRIS-REx will then study the space rock from orbit for another two years before grabbing at least 2.1 ounces (60 grams) of surface material in July 2020.
In 2023, this relatively hefty sample should make it back to Earth, where researchers in laboratories around the globe will analyze the material in a number of ways.
The mission team is chiefly interested in learning the role that asteroids like Bennu — dark, primitive and apparently carbon-rich objects — may have played in helping life get a foothold on Earth, Lauretta said.
"Did these kinds of bodies deliver organic material and water, in the form of hydrated minerals like clays, to the surface of our planet that created the habitability and the environments that may have led to the origin of life?" Lauretta said.
"That's the prime mission," to investigate that question, he added.
There are secondary objectives as well, including learning more about the valuable resources that Bennu-like asteroids may harbor, Lauretta said. And then there's the planetary-defense angle, which has gotten a lot of attention in the last few days.
Earth Impact Event: Asteroid BENNU near Earth Returns in 40 years could HIT US.
Bennu is officially classified as a potentially dangerous asteroid. In fact, there's an 0.037 percent (or 1-in-2,700) chance that it will strike Earth in the last quarter of the 22nd century, NASA scientists have calculated.
Specifically, that's the probability that, during an Earthy flyby in 2135, Bennu will hit a special orbit-altering "keyhole" that will send it on a collision course with the planet later in the century.
OSIRIS-REx will help scientists refine those odds, by refining their understanding of Bennu's orbit. (That orbit, by the way, is already the best-known of any asteroid, Lauretta said; thanks to extensive observations since Bennu's 1999 discovery, astronomers have nailed the space rock's orbital radius down to within 20 feet, or 6 m.)
"Our uncertainties will shrink, so that will allow us to recalculate the impact probability," Lauretta said. "We don't know which direction it'll go. It could go down, because we just eliminated a bunch of possible keyholes that Bennu may hit. Or it may go up, because in the area that's left we have a higher concentration of keyholes compared to the overall area of the uncertainty plane."
OSIRIS-REx's work will also help researchers better understand the Yarkovsky effect, which describes how absorbed sunlight, when radiated away as heat, affects an object's trajectory. Such information will improve knowledge not only of where Bennu is headed, but where it came from, Lauretta said.
But to focus on where it's headed — what if Bennu does hit one of those keyholes in 2135, and the space rock squares Earth up for an impact in 2185 or thereabouts? What should humanity expect?
Such an impact would likely devastate the local area but fall short of wiping out civilization or causing a mass extinction, experts have said. Astronomers estimate that a space rock must be at least 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) wide to cause a global catastrophe. (For perspective: The asteroid thought to have wiped out the dinosaurs — or at least to have finished them off — was probably about 6 miles, or 10 km, across.)
But an impact would not be inevitable, even if Bennu had Earth in its sights. Given a decade or so worth of lead time, researchers say, an incoming asteroid could potentially be nudged off course using fly-along "gravity tractor" probes and/or "kinetic impactors." And if time is not on humanity's side, there's always the nuclear option.
The Perseids are here: The dazzling meteor shower's peak of activity is Aug. 12, but you can already see its streaks of light peppering the sky.
Skywatchers are particularly excited about this year's Perseids. Though the meteor shower is an annual event, the Perseids are in outburst this year. That means that rather than 80 meteors per hour, we might see 150 to 200 per hour, according to NASA meteor expert Bill Cooke.

"Next, we move into the August Perseids, which is perhaps the most popular meteor shower of all," Cooke told Space.com in our summer meteor shower guide. "This year, they will be in what we call 'outburst' — their rates will double, because we're running into more material left behind by Comet Swift-Tuttle." The Perseid meteor shower occurs when Earth moves through the trail of dust and debris left by Comet Swift-Tuttle as it orbits the sun; the debris hits Earth's atmosphere and burns up, creating the white-hot streaks we see in the sky. Most of the pieces of debris, which move at 37 miles per second (59 kilometers per second), are about the size of a grain of sand, NASA has said.

Earth is passing through a particularly dense clump of debris this year — the source of the outburst — caused by the influence of Jupiter's gravity on Swift-Tuttle's trail. The number of meteors is increasing as Earth penetrates the heart of the debris, and it will diminish again once it passes through (after the peak).
The moon will be full six days after the meteor shower's peak, which might wash out the vivid streaks across the sky. So it might be a good idea to look earlier on, before the peak, to see the brightest streaks and fireballs, and to go to the darkest location you can, Cooke said. All of the meteors will appear to stream away from the constellation Perseus — that apparent source is called the shower's radiant — but will materialize all across the sky.

You don't need a telescope to see the meteors. In fact, because telescopes narrow your field of view, it's much easier to watch a meteor shower with the naked eye, just looking up at the entire sky. It will take around 30 minutes in the dark night for your eyes to adjust, and Cooke suggested to plan for a few hours outdoors, taking in the views. The Perseids will appear most clearly in the Northern Hemisphere after 10 p.m. local time, and the meteor rate will increase each night all the way until dawn.
"If anybody's going to get out and see a meteor shower, it probably should be the Perseids this year," Cooke said. "It is the one I would flag and say you've got to go out to."

To date, there has been only one mission to Neptune, the Voyager 2 flyby of 1989. That flyby capped a "grand tour" of the outer planets that took advantage of a unique gravitational alignment to slingshot the spacecraft from Jupiter to Saturn to Uranus to Neptune.
While there is no mission to Neptune currently funded, a Uranus orbiter and probeproposed in the Planetary Decadal Survey of 2013-2022 could be adapted to explore Neptune if the current alignment of Jupiter were more favorable, Amy Simon, a senior scientist for planetary atmospheres at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, told Space.com.
Until another spacecraft can get out there, scientists must rely on ground-based telescopes such as Keck II, and space-based observatories such as the Hubble Space Telescope and the Kepler space telescope, to get occasional glimpses of Neptune in between their other duties. This leaves a lot of unanswered questions about the blue planet. Here are some of the top queries raised by Simon.

5. Why are the winds so fast?
Neptune is a world of speedy winds. They have been clocked going at 500 meters (1,640 feet) per second, said Simon. This is about four times the speed of the fastest winds measured on Jupiter. At high altitudes, Neptune's winds can go faster than 1.5 times the speed of sound, or 1,100 mph (1,770 km/h), according to NASA.
Also, for some reason, the winds on Neptune are blowing westward, or backward to the rotation of the planet. Research published in the journal Nature in 2013 suggested the winds on Neptune and Uranus would be in thin layers no more than 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) thick. This shallow depth suggests that condensing and evaporating moisture could create the winds.

4. Why is Neptune's magnetic field offset?
Uranus and Neptune have relatively similar size, composition and location, soresearchers suspect the two planets have somewhat similar formation histories as well. Uranus and Neptune also both have off-kilter magnetic fields, which distinguishes them from the bigger gas giants, Saturn and Jupiter. Specifically, if you were to overlay a magnet on those planets, the magnet would not line up with the center.
"We have no idea how you even do that," Simon said.
Because magnetic fields are created by moving currents, it is believed that all planets with magnetic fields, including Earth, have conductive material moving in their centers. But because Neptune's magnetic field is tilted at 47 degrees to the planet's rotation, it's clear that rotation and magnetism are not inherently aligned.
"Neptune's magnetosphere undergoes wild variations during each rotation because of this misalignment," NASA wrote on a page about Neptune.

3. Why does it shed more heat than it gets?
Neptune receives heat from the sun, like all other planets, but there seems to be something fierce inside the planet that makes it generate more heat than it receives. Simon said scientists want to know why Neptune generates such heat, because this affects weather processes on the planet.
"The temperature difference between Neptune's strong internal heat source and its frigid cloud tops, about minus 260 degrees Fahrenheit [minus 162 degrees Celsius], might trigger instabilities in the atmosphere that drive large-scale weather changes," NASA officials said in a 2011 statement.
Measurements from the European Space Agency's Infrared Space Observatory in the 1990s showed the planet is radiating at minus 351 F (-213 C), roughly 25 degrees F (45 degrees C) warmer than what it should be without an internal heat source

2. What happened to the 'Great Dark Spot'?
The "Great Red Spot" is the most famous feature on Jupiter (and the solar system's biggest storm), and for reasons that are still poorly understood, that spot has been shrinking in size for decades. So, scientists were intrigued when they saw a corresponding "Great Dark Spot" on Neptune during Voyager 2's flyby in 1989.
Another detailed observation of Neptune was in 1995, when the new Hubble Space Telescope turned its eye to the other blue planet. By then, however, the spot had mysteriously vanished. It could have dissipated at the equator, but scientists do not know for sure how exactly it disappeared, Simon said. Later that year, Hubble found what might be another dark spot, but it is difficult to determine, because the photo resolution of Neptune is so poor at this distance from Earth.

1. What is Neptune's interior made of?
Because astronomers can't see into Neptune, it's difficult to know what its interior is made of. A 2003 model from the Lunar and Planetary Institute suggests an atmosphere of hydrogen, methane and helium. Below that atmosphere is liquid hydrogen, methane and helium, with even lower levels of other materials, including liquid hydrogen compounds, nitrogen and oxygen. The core (if there is one) would be rocky and icy.
It will take measurements of other planets by current NASA spacecraft to better predict the interior composition of Neptune, Simon added. That's one of the prime missions of Juno, which arrived at Jupiter this July. Also, in 2017, the Cassini spacecraft will take a suicidal plunge into Saturn, measuring as much as it can about the atmosphere and interior of that planet before disintegrating.

Someday, stargazers may see pink, green and violet shooting stars streak across the night sky, thanks to a startup company that wants to launch tiny, human-made meteors, according to news sources.
The Japanese company ALE plans to create and release artificial meteors into space that emit colorful trails when they burn up in Earth's atmosphere. For instance, a meteor made of copper would burn green; a barium one would burn blue; and potassium, rubidium and cesium meteors would burn various shades of purple.
"As one learns in high school science classes, when a substance burns, the flame emits a specific color; this is called the flame reaction," ALE said on its website. "By loading our satellite with various materials, we are able to turn our shooting stars into any color." [Space-y Tales: The 5 Strangest Meteorites]
Normally, shooting stars form when particles in space — usually much smaller than an inch (just a few millimeters long) enter the atmosphere and burn brightly, in a process known as plasma emission. ALE researchers want to recreate that process, but with human-made particles, they said.
The company plans to launch a satellite carrying about 500 to 1,000 "source particles," which will become the artificial meteors. Once the satellite stabilizes in orbit, operators on the ground can command it to discharge the particles to create the colorful shooting stars.
"The particles will travel about one-third of the way around the Earth and enter the atmosphere," ALE researchers said. "[They] will then begin plasma emission and become shooting star[s]" at an altitude of about 37 miles to 50 miles [60 to 80 kilometers] aboveground.
The mission, dubbed "Sky Canvas Project," will emit dozens, if not hundreds, of particles, showering Earth with rainbow-colored meteor showers, the company said.
Though small, the particles will burn brightly, according to ALE scientists. Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, has an apparent magnitude of minus 1.5. (The lower the apparent magnitude, the brighter the glow.) The artificial shooting stars have an apparent magnitude of about minus 1, at least in a laboratory setting, the researchers said. This means they'll bevisible down on Earth, even in a city, where lights often drown out celestial objects, ALE said. [Fallen Stars: A Gallery of Famous Meteorites]
Space junk
If launched, ALE's satellite would join countless other spacecraft orbiting Earth. However, the company says it will follow international regulations and ensure that its satellite doesn't stay aloft and become space junk, by purposefully crashing it into the atmosphere within 25 years.
"In this case, the used satellite itself will become a very large shooting star," ALE said.
Moreover, the company is taking precautions so that its meteor-emitting satellite won't crash into other satellites. The team created software based on the United States' Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), which tracks satellites and debris in space. ALE will calculate where other objects are located in space, and prevent the ALE satellite from colliding with them, the company said.
But Moriba Jah, a space-junk expert and the director of the University of Arizona's Space Object Behavioral Sciences program, isn't sure that method will work.
JSpOC's site, space-track.org, largely tracks objects' general movements, but not their precise locations, which makes him "a bit uncomfortable" and unsure if ALE's satellite can effectively stay out of trouble, Jah told National Geographic.
Still, ALE plans to launch its first satellite in the second half of 2017 and service it in 2018, the researchers said. But it won't be cheap. Each particle is slated to cost about 1 million yen (about $9,620) to produce, and that doesn't include the costs for the satellite or the launch, National Geographic reported.
What's more, ALE dispelled rumors last week that it might stage an artificial meteor shower for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
"While we do intend on providing our shooting stars, once complete, to large-scale events — and we also have mentioned the Olympic Games as an event that we would love to work with (*hint*) in interviews — we have not made an official proposal to the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and hence do not have any facts or developments to disclose at the moment," the company said in a statement.

In honour of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, the Hubble Space Telescope has released an image boldly going where no one has gone before.
Peering through a cluster of galaxies to the very edge of the observable Universe to see the First Galaxies themselves.
The Frontier Field (in honour of Star Trek’s mission to explore the Final Frontier) is a region of the sky no bigger than a dollar coin seen from 100m away. Yet in that region 4 billion light years distant Hubble sees hundreds of galaxies that form Abell S1063, a galaxy cluster, one of the largest objects in our Universe.
While finding a galaxy cluster would usually be the scientific highlight of the story it’s what this cluster allows us to see that’s even more exciting.
The streaks or arcs of light you see in the image are optical illusions of even more distant galaxies warped by gravitational lensing.
The image of these background galaxies are brought into ‘focus’ by the mass of the galaxy cluster. This makes the already incredible Hubble Space Telescope effectively 20 times mores powerful seeing further into the distant universe.
Since it takes light time to reach us from these distant objects we then see them as they were, just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang. These galaxies are newborns, when the entire universe was barely a teenager relative to its current age.
Gravitational lensing is an effect of General Relativity predicted by Einstein in which that massive objects like stars or galaxies would bend light around them focusing it like a lens. You can test the physics of gravitational lensing at home with a wine glass.
Simply take a sheet of paper and draw a coin-sized dot on it and fill it in, then place a wine glass over it. By looking directly down the stem of the glass the dot will turn into a ring, and looking to the side will see it distorted into streaks and arcs much like the cluster image.
Gravitational lensing allows us to not only see further behind the objects it also allows us toweigh the ‘lensing’ galaxies themselves as the bending of the light depends on the mass of the object (much as a thicker wine stem of lenses in your glasses will bend the light more).
This reveals that most of the material of the galaxy is in fact invisible, composed of a new form of mass called Dark Matter. While lensing allows us to map the Dark Matter to confirm its nature will require finding it in the lab. Australia has a key role to play in this search with SABRE, the world’s first dark matter detector in the Southern Hemisphere.
As we look deeper into the Universe we are seeing it as it was when the light first left. Ever wondered what life in Mars could look like? Well, to get the answers you seek, just ask a “Marschitect,” like Vera Mulyani, who founded Mars City Design – a think tank (of sorts) that is aimed at developing blueprints for the first self-sustaining city on Mars.
Mulyani’s group raised $30,382 on Kickstarter to build 3D-printed three to-scale habitat prototypes of Martian cities at Reaction Research Society’s test area in the Mojave Desert.
Select engineers, designer, and architects from all over the world will gather at a workshop at the University of Southern California in September to plan the exciting features of the first cities on Mars.
Mulyani says their project is “macro to micro,” which means the team will first explore how an entire city would function as a whole then trickle down into individual habitats. They hope to start with a base of four people on Mars and then ultimately grow it to a city of 1,000.

CREATING SUSTAINABLE CITIES
The workshop will be attended by Jim Erickson, project manager of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover, and Madhu Thangavelu, a professor at the Viterbi School of Engineering, and Apollo 11 pilot Buzz Aldrin, among many others.
From 25 design entries, the Mars City Design team shortlisted three finalists with the best prototypes to be 3D-printed. Some of the designs include Neurosynthesis: an urban settlement with a closed river system and an artificial Martian waterfall; Project Dandelion: an autonomous habitat that uses regolith to provide a sustainable source of oxygen, water, energy and nutrition; Vertical Farms: sustainable farming to limit the reliance on sporadic supply runs from Earth; and Instant Structure: a laser explosion technology to rapidly create constructions as immediate solutions to natural disasters or war.
Mulyani says their team sees Mars as an opportunity to think long-term and plan sustainable cities, something we didn’t do with Earth.
Researchers have been using electrons as qubits for the past few years and have been looking for a better option due the unreliability of electrons in keeping noise out. As a nifty solution, they tried out electron holes—the positively charged voids left behind when they remove electrons.
ELECTRONS AS QUBITS: NOT PERFECT
Quantum bits, or qubits, are the units that will be the foundation of quantum computing. Unlike the binary system, wherein bits can only be either 1 or 0, qubits allow the superposition of each unit, meaning each bit can be both 0 and 1 at the same time. This creates exponentially superior computing power that allows calculations to be carried out with less steps than the classical system.

Researchers have been using individual electrons as qubits for the past years. An electron is locked in the quantum dot, which is a tiny semiconductor volume, and the spin turns it into a small permanent magnet. The direction of this spin is then used to code information.
The problem, however, is that atoms from its surroundings also generate magnetic fields—and this noise interferes with the external magnetic field and ultimately corrupts the process of programming and reading qubits.
THE FIX
A team of researchers from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the University of Basel, and Lyon University have found a nifty solution to the hurdle: instead of using electrons as qubits, they used the “electron holes.”
Instead of locking individual electrons in the quantum dot, specific electrons were removed, leaving positively charged voids, or electron holes, that also have a spin but, unlike the electrons themselves, are immune from the interference caused by surrounding magnetic fields. “A hole spin may circumvent the nuclear spin noise. In principle, the nuclear spins can be switched off for a pure heavy-hole spin,” the study notes.
The downside, however, is that this can only be applied at low temperatures since these holes have a weakness to warmth. While the technique is still not perfect, it’s a step closer to making quantum computers a reality.

Ancient China’s Yellow Emperor is a legendary hero credited with many feats, such as introducing writing and medicine. But despite his contribution to founding the Chinese civilization, there are ancient texts that suggest he wasn’t even human at all, but an extraterrestrial being from a star system far away.
Throughout mankind’s history, the ruling class has done its best to create and maintain the illusion that kingship is a divine construct, established by the gods themselves. Dynasties of monarchs and majesties claimed the first of their name had been direct descendants of the “gods” and thus justified their own reign as demigods. The king-coming-down-from-heaven-to-assist-mankind-through-his-governance phenomenon is a a staple presence within many cultures, leading some of us to believe that it was a common occurrence for extraterrestrial beings to lend a hand and establish divine bloodlines.
The Yellow Emperor (Huang-Di) lived in the third millennium BC and his rule is traditionally said to have lsted for over 100 years. Many inventions are attributed to his genius, including the introduction of wooden houses, the bow and arrow, carts and boats, Chinese medicine and writing. He is also credited as being the first to mint coins and establish governmental institutions.
An epitome of wisdom and understanding, Huang-Di was a patron of the esoteric arts and considered a cosmic emperor. His rule was a golden age during which he envisioned a perfect kingdom where peaceful inhabitants would live a life of harmony. For someone from 5,000 BC, that’s quite progressive.
It is said he had vast astronomical knowledge and even possessed advanced technology, such as a “cauldron” that he would use to enlist the help of a dragon. Sometimes, this dragon is described as having metallic scales and the Yellow Emperor could summon it whenever he pointed the cauldron at a star known as Xuanyuan. Astronomers have identified this star as Alpha Leonis, located 79 light-years from us, in the constellation Leo.
According to ancient Chinese myths, the same cauldron could store various types of energy for long periods of time and would show moving images of other dragons flying through unfamiliar skies.
Another intriguing object belonging to the Yellow Emperor was his magical chariot, called Changhuan. He would use it to travel quickly to all corners of his empire, bot woe unto him who dared climb aboard without Huang-Di’s permission. When one of his advisers decided to take it for a spin, he returned the same day but being many years older than he had left. This sounds too much like the time dilation effect of faster than light travel to ignore.
Multiple sources claim that after his hundred-years reign ended, the Yellow Emperor simply summoned the metal ‘dragon’ and ascended to the heavens. This could be a metaphor for death or it could literally mean the extraterrestrial emperor climbed aboard his flying machine, waved goodbye to the subjects he had so graciously helped evolve, and went back to his own star system.
It is worth mentioning that Alpha Leonis, also known as Regulus, was seen as an important celestial body in ancient times. The Babylonians called it Sharru (The King) while in India it was called Maghā, meaning The Mighty. Millennia ago, ancient Persian astronomers saw Regulus as one of the four ‘royal stars’ of the monarchy and referred to it as Miyan – The Center.
Being the initiator of the Chinese civilization must have been hard work, so it makes sense for history to sing songs of praise to the Yellow Emperor, but was he human or not? He successfully introduced alien concepts that had never been heard of before him and allegedly owned and operated technological marvels that only an advanced, space-faring civilization could produce.
His birth is said to have been an actual descent from the Xuanyuan star, accompanied by a “thunderclap on a clear day in the skies.” The metallic dragon could have been a flying craft similar to the ones we see today, and we’re left wondering whether UFOs are responsible for the representation of the strongest, wisest mythical creature in Chinese lore.

Researchers have concluded that some 4.1 to 3-7 billion years ago, Mars had enough liquid water to cover the entire surface of the planet with a fluid layer nearly 150 meters deep. It is entirely possible that during that time, life as we know it could have formed on Mars.
Have UFO hunters spotted the remains of ancient sea creatures on Mars? According to a new image, ‘seashell-like’, however, creatures may have just been spotted on the surface of Mars indicating Mars’ ancient ocean was once teeming with life.
Not long ago, researchers from NASA have found out that there was once a vast primitive ocean covering the Martian surface containing more water than Earth’s arctic sea. Now alien hunters believe they have spotted the remains of a creature that may have once inhabited the Martian ocean proving that in the distant past Mars and life.
According to estimates proposed by scientists earlier this year, Mars had once more water that the Arctic ocean on Earth and the Martian ocean existed on the planet for over 1.5 billion years.
Findings on Mars indicate that there was enough water and time for life to thrive on Mars. However, over the last 3.7 billion years, our neighboring planet has lost around 87% of its water turning into a barren and desolate world.
Researchers have concluded that some 4.1 to 3-7 billion years ago, Mars had enough liquid water to cover the entire surface of the planet with a liquid layer nearly 150 meters deep.
A study published in the journal Science concluded that Mars’ northern plains would have had around 20 million cubic kilometers of water, an ocean that would have been as 1.5 km deep in some locations.
Interestingly, scientists believe that Mars had liquid water for a longer time that previously thought which also means it may have been habitable for longer.
In an article about Water on Mars, Dr. Michael Mumma, co-author of the study and Senior Scientist at Nasa Goddard wrote:
“We now know that Mars was wet for a much longer time than we thought before, Curiosity shows it was wet for 1.5 billion years, already much longer than the period of time needed for life to develop on Earth. And now we see that Mars must have been wet for a period even longer.”
The peculiar image of the alleged fossilized creature was discovered in images taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover exploring the Gusev crater.
Skeptics, however, tend to disagree suggesting that these discoveries are just pareidolia doing its thing, making us see familiar shapes in images of the Martian surface.
Scott Warring from UFO Sightings Daily however disagrees.
According to a post published on Mr. Warring’s website:
“I found this shell back in 2012 in Gusev crater in a false color Nasa photo, but came across it again this week but in an all new photo I have never seen before, The sea shell is still there and had not been edited out.”
For nearly four years, NASA’s very own alien robot has been exploring the surface of Mars in an effort to understand the red planet and its long history.
Since the rover touched down on Mars, it has taken countless images of Mars where many UFO hunters have found peculiar images that are very hard to explain.
“The shell is round, and the top of the shell was thinner, so it’s been broken away, but the outer rim still exists,” writes Mr. Waring on his blog.
“The evidence of Mars having an ocean with living creatures grows.”

A Milan-based Researcher claims Da Vinci included a HIDDEN message in his famous painting of The Last Supper.
According to researchers, there is a hidden message inside Leonardo da Vinci’s version of the Last Supper that points to the possibility that Jesus was MORTAL.
The last Supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci isn’t the only existing version. However, Leonardo’s version is believed to be far more unique than anyone had ever thought, and a research4re believes he has identified a ‘hidden’ message that Leonardo embedded into the painting.
What if it were true? And what if Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings have, in fact, a mystery or two just as the fictional story of The Da Vinci Code once suggested?
Other paintings depict Jesus and his 13 subjects as saints, but Da Vinci’s paintings are unique, and now a researcher believes he may have discovered the reason why da Vinci decided to leave out the halos surrounding Jesus and his disciples.
According to a researcher, Leonardo Da Vinci left out the traditional ‘halos’ surrounding Jesus and his disciples in order to show Jesus was a ‘common mortal’.
In a video presented by the Smithsonian Channel, Leonardo Da Vinci’s paintings is perhaps the most widely recognized, but it isn’t the only version of the Last Supper.
Other Versions of the painting are eerily similar to one another, but Leonardo’s version has one DETAIL that sets them apart: Leonardo’s paintings does NOT have halos.
In Da Vinci’s version, not only are his disciples portrayed without halos, even Jesus has his halo missing.
The video published by the Smithsonian Channel explains:
“Before Leonardo da Vinci, all versions of The Last Supper showed Jesus and his disciples with halos, in effect, portraying them as saints, but, da Vinci chose to ignore this convention and paint them without halos.”
According to Mario Taddei, the missing halos in Leonardo’s paintings may have been a way of sending a message.
Mr. Taddei is an Italian inventor and expert in Leonardo da Vinci.
According to Taddei, the people Da Vinci depicted in the painting are common simple men and not saints, implying that Jesus too was a mortal.
“I believe that Leonardo never put the halos because he thinks that the people are ordinary people, and this is a genuine secret of Leonardo. There is no extraterrestrial or supernatural object inside the last supper. Leonardo wants to tell us that the thirteen men are simple men. And this said something much more powerful,” explains Mr. Taddei in the video.
The Idea that Jesus was a mortal is a subject of debate that has been proposed many times in the past.
Interestingly, the novel The Da Vinci Code and the film that followed made strong claims that were firmly rejected by the Vatican.
Mr. Taddei explains that“Leonardo da Vinci is communicating a subtle message with his Last Supper, He’s telling us that Jesus was a mortal – a theme echoed in The Da Vinci Code.”

In case you were eager to see an alien invasion in your lifetime, you might want to take a look at this shocking video.
The UFO and alien fever has reached new heights with so much information at hand revealing never-before known facts about space and life in general. It’s easier now than ever for people to understand that we’re not alone in the universe, but although most of us humans accept the idea, we’re still divided in two groups: those who believe that aliens had already made contact with us, and those who think they are out there, but out of reach between a vast space measuring millions of light years.
In case you’re part of the first category, your interest and excitement when it comes to an alien invasion in the near future is undeniable, and as a matter of fact, they may have already appeared to us. This claim is not without proof, as a man has already recorded a presumed alien invasion, but on a local scale. Even so, the sighting is extremely puzzling and raises tons of question marks.
It all starts with a radiant orange ball of light. Some would say there’s nothing unusual so far, but as the UFO descends, it breaks in midair and releases a handful of bright orbs. Five peculiar dots on the sky aligned in a bizarre formation are now hovering over this small US community. They stop falling in midair, hinting at an intrusive alien invasion. The witnesses are in shock, especially the man who’s filming this alleged apocalyptic scenario. On the background you can even hear a girl screaming, accompanied by other various noises.
The orb from the middle suddenly vanishes, and the others keep changing their color from pale white to orange. At this point, a second orb makes a dip in brightness and two more light up near it. They remain still for a brief moment, further shocking the mesmerized cameraman, then the orbs slowly fade away, leaving behind only three UFOs which start to perform a bizarre ritual. Near the end of the video, the orbs become brighter and then disappear without a trace.
Could this be indeed some kind of alien invasion? Is this video proof of UFO activity on Earth, or does it rather have a more rational explanation? Let’s explore the possibilities and find out:
A heated debate has started on Reddit regarding the origins of this sighting, with the most upvoted theory being a group of skydivers descending with their flares lit up. But does this really explain what we see in this capture? Would a group of divers jump off a plane holding all flares together, then break in a symmetrical formation, change the color of their lights and freeze midair?
Such a scenario would only be possible, in my acceptance, if they would deliberately intend to fake an alien landing. But why would a group of professionals engage in such a troubling, unprofitable operation?
Indeed, the trail left behind by a plane is clearly visible in the first frames of the video, but that’s far from explaining anything, and besides, other lights emerging as the scene unwinds further hints at otherworldly visitors. Could this really be the case?
On the other side of the fence, this theory is gaining ground since the behavior seen in the images is not foreign to the UFO community. The traits of the bright UFOs are in fact common characteristics encountered in orb-UFOs. They are renowned for performing brisk maneuvers, dips in brightness, changing colors and even morphing and multiplying.
Orb UFOs are believed to monitor the activity of our earthly communities, despite their size or location. They are frequently seen during the night as they ‘play’ above secluded villages and even crowded cities.
Doctor Ruehl has investigated numerous such sightings and reached the conclusion that they could be ageless plasmatic entities that travel between dimensions. Whenever they enter our realm they tend to generate a circular energy shield around them, making them look like bright spheres, an appearance that can easily be interpreted by any skeptic in its own desired way.
However, decades-old reports and numerous videos of these orb UFOs undeniably reveal their otherworldly nature. In my acceptance, the military and our world governments are mostly aware of these UFOs, but are unable to interact with them because of their tremendously advanced capabilities.
If an alien invasion would be a positive thing remains another topic of discussion, with an interesting point of view being presented in this comment from worldstar:
“The so called white man hasn’t been able to peacefully coexist with any dark indigenous nation he ever came into contact with on this planet. Every nation came to him with a peaceful hand and he came at them with a sword and these nations belong to the same genetic human race and species as him… you think it’s going to be a peaceful encounter if so called extraterrestrials come here? This devil would send missiles at their spaceship before they even land and try to put them in captivity before they even speak.”
With this rapid shift in technology we can at least hope that one day we’ll be able to reach out to these incredible beings. De laatste tijd zijn er op deze website behoorlijk wat berichten geplaatst over de vreemde verschijnselen bij een aantal Mexicaanse vulkanen.
Wij blijven daar nog even, want de dingen die zich daar voor doen, worden met de week vreemder en de wereld reageert maar niet.
Wat is er eigenlijk voor nodig om wat mainstream aandacht te krijgen voor dingen die iedere dag gebeuren, die door talloze getuigen worden waargenomen, die worden gefotografeerd en gefilmd en waarvan iedereen blijft doen alsof ze niet bestaan.
Heeft de bevolking dan zulke grote oogkleppen op of zijn ze zo gedrogeerd en gehersenspoeld dat ze zelfs niet meer waarnemen wat er concreet in hun omgeving gebeurt?
Enkele weken geleden hebben we (weer) uitgebreid bericht over de vreemde sigaarvormige UFO’s die zich keer op keer vertonen bij de Mexicaanse vulkanen en dan in het bijzonder de Popocatépetl vulkaan.
Soms zie je ze met het blote oog, maar op het moment dat je gaat filmen met een infraroodcamera komen er de meest fascinerende beelden tevoorschijn.
Zoals de volgende opnames laten zien, vliegen de sigaarvormige objecten af en aan rond de Popocatépetl.
Naast de Popocatépetl is er in Mexico nog een bekende vulkaan, de Colima, waar regelmatig vreemde objecten worden waargenomen.
Omdat er een goede vergelijking gemaakt kan worden met de krater van de vulkaan heeft men berekend dat deze UFO’s ongeveer 500 meter lang zijn. De grootste van de twee heeft ook een soort metallic-achtige glinstering, wat normaal is, omdat deze opnames gemaakt zijn bij zonsopgang.
Deze vulkaan bevindt zich op ongeveer 500 kilometer afstand van de hoofdstad Mexico City.
De vulkaanuitbarstingen wereldwijd nemen toe en het was dan ook een kwestie van tijd totdat mensen verbanden gingen leggen tussen de toenemende UFO activiteit bij vulkanen en die van vulkanische uitbarstingen.
Tenslotte iets wat misschien niet veel mensen weten, is dat er diverse getuigenverklaringen zijn van reddingswerkers die vreemde wezens hebben waargenomen op de hellingen van de Popocatépetl vulkaan.
De professionele bergbeklimmers (Mountain Rescue) die zich bij en rond de vulkaan bezighouden met onder andere het in veiligheid brengen van verdwaalde toeristen en dergelijke, maken melding van vreemde wezens.
Ze zijn tussen de twee en twee en een halve meter groot en worden waargenomen op de helling van de vulkaan, dichtbij de krater.
Ze zijn lang en dun en beschikken niet over een uitrusting zoals een rugzak of iets dergelijks. Ze hebben niets om zich tegen de barre weerscondities op die hoogte te beschermen.
Deze wezens zijn niet een keer bij toeval waargenomen. Ze worden op regelmatige basis gezien door leden van Mountain Rescue en anderen.
Tot grote verbazing van de bergbeklimmers kunnen de wezens in een heel korte tijd een aanzienlijke afstand overbruggen op de steile gladde berghelling.
Een afstand op de berghelling waar de bergbeklimmers normaal gesproken drie uur over doen, wordt door deze wezens in tien minuten afgelegd.
Guillermo Vidalez is één van de bergbeklimmers die ze met eigen ogen heeft gezien. Hij zegt dat het eigenlijk onmogelijk is voor iets of iemand om een berghelling in zo'n korte tijd te beklimmen, gezien de condities van het terrein en het weer. De wezens zagen er uit als dunne, lange figuren en ze waren te ver van Vidalez verwijderd om contact te kunnen maken.
Grote vraag is natuurlijk: Wie zijn deze wezens en wat hebben ze daar op die helling van de vulkaan te zoeken.
Kortom, er gebeuren dingen rondom de vulkanen in Mexico die volgens de geldende regels “niet kunnen”. En toch gebeuren ze en worden deze vreemde dingen dag na dag vastgelegd op camera’s.
