Recently, the British Ministry of Defence (MoD), in cooperation with The National Archives (TNA), explained that the release of 18 still closed UFO-files of the MoD will not happen before early 2017. Now, Grenzwissenschaft-Aktuell (GreWi), the German news-blog on frontier science and the paranormal, has discovered why the release of these files needs more time. The reply gives an interesting insight into the release process, and at the same time, it allows new speculation about the reason why those files were, and are, still held back.

Background

Contrary to its claim in 2013 that all of its formerly classified UFO-files were released to the public via the National Archives, in 2014 the MoD had to admit that 18 UFO-files were held back. The release of these files was initially set for 2015, but the date was delayed to early 2016, then to the summer of 2016, and then delayed again to August. In August, it was said that the release was yet again rescheduled, and that the files would not be published before early 2017.

GreWi-editor Andreas Müller contacted the National Archives by E-Mail and just received the following explanation:

Dear Andreas Muller,

Thank you for contacting the Information Management Department at The National Archives of the United Kingdom regarding the release of UFO files.

The National Archives and the Ministry of Defence had agreed a timetable for the release of these records which would have made the records available for the public at TNA this autumn. Unfortunately, following the transfer of files to TNA in June, additional information which is covered by FOI exemption was identified, resulting in the files being returned to MoD in August.

This has delayed the release of these files. MOD are now ensuring that all information that is covered by an exemption is identified (refer to step 3 – Sensitivity reviews of selected records – of the gateway process). The Advisory Council on National Records and Archives will then need to consider any applications relating to newly identified exemptions. Its next meeting is taking place on the 10th of November. The files will then have to go through step 4 (Cataloguing and preparation of records), 5 (Planning and arranging delivery of records) and 6 (Accessioning the records) of the gateway process. It is anticipated that these records therefore won’t be available until early 2017.

I sincerely apologise for these records not being available to be viewed as anticipated.

In short: While preparing the files for public release, the National Archives identified some information within those files that they judged to be of such a sensitive nature that it seemed to qualify for an exemption from the Freedom of Information Act rules. Therefore they did send the files back to the MoD for a re-examination of that content to decide whether it can be made public or to be held back.

Part of the yet to be released UFO-documents are filed under the title “UFO-Policy“ and date from 1971-76 and 1996-2000. Three other files cover June-December 2000, December–March 2004 and March 2004. Furthermore the MoD also confirmed that some files cover topics like “Air Traffic Control Low Flying UFOs,“ as well as so-called “ADGE UFO Reports,“ which experts assume are UFO related documents from a radar unit called the UK Air Defence Ground Environment (UKADGE)..

Some observers even anticipate that parts of the files will include new information about the so-called Rendlesham Forest Incident, when in December 1980 staff of the military RAF-bases Bentwaters and Woodbridge (used at the time by the U.S. Air Force) allegedly observed the landing of an unidentified flying object at close range.

Canadian astrophysicists have discovered 234 cases of what they call “peculiar periodic spectral modulations in a small fraction of solar type stars,“ which translates as variations in the light-pattern of 234 stars more or less similar to our own sun. Even after examining a wide range of possible technical and astrophysical  explanations, the scientists are left with the hypothesis, even if still speculative in nature, that the signals are caused by light pulses generated by Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI) to makes us aware of their existence.

As Prof. Ermanno F. Borra and Eric Trottier of the Université Laval in Québec report in a preprint-paper viaArXiv.org, their new discoveries match exactly with a modulated signal that Prof. Borra described and simulated already in a paper published in 2012. In that paper, he described how intelligent signals could be hidden but also discovered in already available data-sets of sky surveys.

As Prof. Borra explains to Grenzwissenschaft-Aktuell.de (GreWi): “The paper discusses the results of an analysis of 2.5 million spectra of astronomical objects. A spectrum gives, in great details, the measurement of the intensity of light as a function of color.”

This work was carried out to detect periodic signals in their spectra generated by Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI). The periodic signal predicted in a previous scientific publication was found in only 234 stars that are overwhelmingly similar to the sun (but neither in galaxies nor quasars).

A detailed statistical analysis in the paper definitely shows that the signals cannot be caused by instrumental or data analysis effects. Several other possible physical causes of the signals are also considered, but quantitative analyses show that they cannot generate the signals.

Because the detected signals have exactly the shape of an ETI signal predicted in a scientific publication (2012), they are therefore in agreement with the ETI hypothesis. The ETI hypothesis is strengthened by the fact that the signals were detected in only a small fraction of stars that have spectral types (colors) in a narrow spectral range centered on the spectral type of the sun. On the other hand, the ETI hypothesis is so peculiar that, at this stage, it cannot be accepted as certain. It absolutely has to be confirmed, or denied, by more observations.

According to the authors, so far the only other explanation, alternatively to the ETI-hypothesis, is the idea that “the signals are due to highly peculiar chemical compositions in a small fraction of galactic halo stars.”

Beside the fact that Borra and Trottier could not find a technical or astrophysical explanation for the discovered signals, the signals also match exactly with the one suggested, and simulated, by Borra in 2012 when he suggested to look for exactly that kind of signals hidden in already available data of large sky surveys like the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS).

Such strong light signals could be sent, for example, with powerful lasers that get modulated in such a way that they get embedded in the light spectrum of a star as a pattern that could very well be discovered and recognized as such by an intelligent observer.

“The fact that only a small fraction of stars, in a narrow spectral range centered near the spectral type of the sun, has the signal in agreement with the ETI hypothesis since we intuitively would expect that solar type stars would have ETI and only a small fraction of them would have ETI“, the authors explain in their paper.

They continue, “The ETI hypothesis requires that all different ETI transmitters choose to broadcast with the same time separation of pulses and one may wonder why they do so. This is a highly speculative issue that may have several explanations. A possible explanation that makes sense is that all ETI use the same time separation to make it clear that the pulses all come from ETI.“

Concluding their paper, Borra and Trottier emphasize that at this stage, the ETI generation of the spectral modulation is still a hypothesis that needs to be confirmed with further work.

They suggest that this can be done by repeatedly observing the described stars with photoelectric detectors capable of detecting very rapid intensity signals.

“However ETI may not necessarily send us pulses at all times so that a lack of detections in some stars may not necessarily signify that ETI does not exist: The reason why ETI may not send pulses at all times may simply come from the fact that the signals must be sent to a very large number of stars so that too much energy would be required to send pulses to all stars at all times.“

According to Borra, he has already contacted SETI-astronomers who seemed very interested to do a follow-up.

Borra says, “Now I am waiting for the other astronomers actions and help them.“

John Podesta

Although this meeting sounds incredible, most of the media has been focused on other UFO emails in the Podesta WikiLeaks. In particular, emails from former astronaut Edgar Mitchell. People interested in the topic of UFOs are familiar with Mitchell’s interests in the subject. He often talked about growing up in Roswell, New Mexico and believing the locals who told him they were around when an alien spacecraft crashed in the desert outside of town in 1947.

Mitchell’s interests included other fringe ideas about extraterrestrials, so it came as no surprise to many when emails were found in the WikiLeaks Podesta files requesting a meeting between Podesta and Mitchell. As we have written about – many times – Podesta is also known for his UFO interests. Podeta’s interests seem to be centered around credible investigation. He often uses the term Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), instead of the term UFO.  UAP is a term used by scientists and other serious researchers who seek to distance their work from the more fringe elements.

According to Yahoo! News, a friend of Mitchell’s and the people who sent Podesta the invitation on his behalf, says the meeting never took place.

However, a more interesting – some may argue – meeting did take place. This meeting seems to have been initiated by Tom DeLonge, the former front man of the wildly popular rock band, Blink-182. He is the former front man because it seems his interests in UFOs became more important to him than the band and he left it to delve into the UFO mystery.

DeLonge told the Rolling Stone of the breakup, “I couldn’t tell the band I was working with people in the government.”

It appears John Podesta was one of the people in the government DeLonge was working with. Again, this is actually no surprise to those of us in the UFO field. In fact, as DeLonge began to ramp up his UFO projects, he posted about his upcoming media projects. He even absconded a couple of the employees here atOpenMinds.tv to help start a short lived paranormal blog. Other projects include a comic book, a novel and a yet to be released documentary.

Much of the shooting for the documentary appears to have been done in January, 2015. DeLonge posted photos of the shooting locations, including a photograph of an interview with Podesta. The caption in thephoto reads: “Yes, the President and I discussed Unidentified Aerial Phenomena…” We assume that is a quote from Podestsa. However, since the documentary has not been released, we are not sure what else Podesta might have said.

This is where the WikiLeak emails come in. The first email in the recent WikiLeaks dump between Podesta and DeLonge is one from DeLonge updating Podesta on his UFO projects. It’s dated October 26, 2015.

The email reads:

Hi John-

Tom DeLonge here, The one who interviewed you for that special documentary not to long ago.

Things are moving with the project. The Novels, Films and NonFiction works are blooming and finishing. Just had a preliminary meeting with Spielberg’s Chief Operating Officer at DreamWorks. More meetings are now on the books-

 I would like to bring two very “important” people out to meet you in DC. I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you. I just need 2 hours from you.

Just looking to have a casual, and private conversation in person.

This is where some of the intrigue begins. Who are these high level officials, and what are they telling DeLonge about UFOs?

In the Rolling Stone interview referred to earlier, DeLonge says, “I have 10 people that I’m working with that are at the highest levels of the Department of Defense and NASA and the military.”

The Rolling Stone also claims, in their interview, that DeLonge’s recently published novel, co-authored with A.J. Hartley, Sekret Machines Book 1: Chasing Shadows, “theorizes that alien technology not only exists, but that the government has known about it for decades and has even replicated some of it.”

“Though fictional, it’s written with information DeLonge says he gleaned from ‘sources within the aerospace industry and the Department of Defense and NASA,’” according to Rolling Stone.  “Then he adds, ‘That sentence, specifically, was approved for me to say.’”

DeLonge has been on the famous late-night paranormal talk show Coast to Coast AM, claiming to have incredible insider information about government UFO secrets, but, he has not let us in on who these people are. Many in the UFO field, including myself, were afraid he had fallen victim to the numerous charlatans claiming to have insider information.

One clue to the legitimacy of his sources is a review for his book on the Amazon.com listing. It is from  retired USAF Major General Michael Carey. According to his USAF bio, Carey was the Special Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, which is also the home of NORAD. Petersen is at the base of the famous Cheyenne Mountain.

Carey writes:

Sekret Machines scratches at the surface of “who do” we trust with our classified technology – certainly our adversaries are aware of our undertakings, as they are doing the same, but what of our citizens, our politicians, even our own military. Tom DeLonge and A.J. Hartley create a convincing narrative describing the “cat and mouse” game that is timeless between strategic adversaries. It has existed under the sea, on the surface of the earth and in its skies, why wouldn’t we believe it occurs in space. Our military leaders have been saying space is a contested environment for years now, perhaps we should believe them!

Nothing too shocking there, and nothing indicating Carey has an interest in UFOs. But this was our first indication that DeLonge has at least been in contact with a real high-level government official.

The second email to Podesta from DeLonge in the WikiLeaks dump is dated November 16, 2015. This one is actually an email forwarded to Podesta from a special assistant to Hillary’s campaign, Milia Fisher. It is an email written to her and another aide from DeLonge. In it, DeLonge is again asking to meet with Podesta and says he would like to bring along someone important. He also suggests Steven Spielberg – another UFO enthusiast – would like to also attend.

The email reads:

I created this teaser as a way to open conversations and excite Spielberg’s people. It worked. I just left my meeting at DreamWorks, and they are very, very interested.

On another note, I have somebody important that is willing to fly out and meet with Mr. Podesta. A member of my Committee. I am awaiting a time in January that might work for Mr. Podesta. My goal is for Spielberg to be there, too. And if not him, somebody of his stature. Please show Mr. Podesta this private teaser. Let him know that I am spending all afternoon interviewing a scientist that worked on a spacecraft at Area 51 tomorrow.

We have no indication that either of these two emails actually resulted in a meeting. However, it appears DeLonge finally did get a meeting in January of 2016.

In an email dated January 24, 2016, a man identifying himself as Neil McC, sent an email to Podesta and a group of people who appear to have been invited to a meeting via Google Hangout. Neil’s email was to clarify the time of the meeting which was to be held the following morning. Listed as attendees were Tom DeLonge, Neil, Fisher, Podesta, a man named Rob Weiss and Carey (the former Major General who wrote the review for DeLonge’s book).

From this email we can tell that Podesta setup the meeting, and the other attendees are quite fascinating. Rob Weiss can be found on LinkedIn using the email in the WikiLeaks. There, his job title is listed as Executive Vice President & General Manager Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works) at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Skunk Works is the group that built Area 51 at the behest of the CIA, and for decades has worked on developing top-secret advanced aircraft.

Another WikiLeaks emails helps us confirm who Neil McC is. In an email also dated January 24, 2016, a woman named Susan McCasland Wilkerson accepts a request to the meeting. She can be found onFacebook, and is the wife of  Major General William N. McCasland. His middle name is Neil, which, according to his Facebook page, is the name he apparently goes by. According to his USAF bio, he is the commander of the U.S. Air Force’s research laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Wright-Patterson AFB has a rich history in UFO folklore as it was the home of the Air Force’s official UFO investigations from 1947 to 1970.

Whoa! Right? DeLonge is getting a meeting with the head of a research lab famous for UFO research, a man who worked for the head of Air Force Space Command, a man who is in charge of the people who run Area 51, and the campaign manager of the person who is, apparently, as of today, likely to be the next president of the United States.

Remember, DeLonge claims to have insider information that the government knows about, and has back engineered, alien technology.

We do not know for sure what was discussed in that meeting, yet.  We also do not know for sure who attended. However, one last email indicates that the meeting did take place, and at least Podesta, DeLonge and McCasland were present.

This email is dated January 25, 2016, the day of the meeting.  The timestamp is 16:04 in the afternoon, indicating that the email was sent after the meeting. The content of the email shows that DeLonge seemed a little disappointed about McCalsand’s contribution to the meeting.

DeLonge wrote to Podesta:

He mentioned he’s a “skeptic”, he’s not. I’ve been working with him for four months. I just got done giving him a four hour presentation on the entire project a few weeks ago.

Trust me, the advice is already been happening on how to do all this. He just has to say that out loud, but he is very, very aware- as he was in charge of all of the stuff. When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago.

He not only knows what I’m trying to achieve, he helped assemble my advisory team. He’s a very important man.

Although Delonge is implying he was disappointed with what McCasland shared in the meeting, what he shares here about McCasland is quite revealing. He alludes to Roswell, giving the appearance that DeLonge believes that event was significant. One might assume that DeLonge is implying he believes an alien spacecraft crashed at Roswell, but we cannot be certain given only these few words. DeLonge also implies that McCasland knows more about the Roswell incident than he is willing to share publicly. It makes one wonder, what has he told DeLonge.

Besides the Roswell thing, DeLonge does say that McCasland is aware of his interests, which we know are UFOs, aliens and the government back engineering alien technology. Despite the fringe nature of DeLonge’s interests, DeLonge clams McCasland helped him acquire advisors to look into this issue.

A man in charge of research labs at an USAF base rumored to have housed alien spaceship parts and alien bodies is helping a rock star who is trying to prove these rumors to be true? WTF?

It is a strange world my friends, and it keeps getting stranger.

The FBI has accused Russia of being the culprits behind the recent hacking of emails from members of the Democratic Party. And although there has yet to be a challenge to the authenticity to these alleged Russian hacked WikiLeaks, Podesta has said that some of the emails do not appear to be accurate. However, he says he does not have the time to go through the thousands of emails that have been released to authenticate every one.

Thus far, none of the attendees of this meeting have verified it did indeed took place. I have inquiries out, and I will let you know if I receive a response. Others are also keeping a close eye on Delonge’s and Podesta’s social media to see if they comment. I recommend you do the same, and let us know if you see something.

Personally, I commend DeLonge for his efforts. Many of us in the media who are interested in UFOs have been seeking to interview Podesta on the topic. It is great that DeLonge is doing more than just going to take a look at Area 51, or visiting Roswell. He is out there working on finding answers. Hopefully, he will share his findings with us in a non-fiction media project soon.

At the UFO DATA conference in October 2007, I met up with veteran UFO investigator David Beezer. I’ve known David for many years and he has regularly attended many of our public events. David wanted me to read a report he had received from a RAF officer, but on the day I simply did not have the time. David made me a copy of the report in question and I read it a day or two after the conference had finished.

The report came from a Mr. Alan Turner, Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), and concerned a UFO observed on radar at Royal Air Force (RAF) base Sopley in the summer of l971. I subsequently contact Mr. Turner and have his permission to document the following. His report is published in full.

Alan Turner was aged twenty-five when he joined the Royal Air Force in l966 and was commissioned that year as an Air Traffic Control Officer. RAF Sopley was a wartime bunker, which had been converted into a joint military/civilian Air Traffic Control Radar Unit (ATCRU): it closed in l974 when both the civil and military ATC functions were transferred to West Drayton.

Alan Turner remained in the RAF eventually to command the Central ATC School from 1990 to 1992. In July 1995, he was discharged from the RAF in the rank of Wing Commander.

This is Wing Commanders Turner’s account of what he personally observed at RAF Sopley in the summer of l971 in full:

In the summer of 1971, I was the Duty Military Supervisor at RAF Sopley, which was a joint military/civil Air Traffic Control Radar Unit (ATCRU). It was a Tuesday afternoon but I cannot remember the exact date. The Duty Civil Supervisor drew my attention to a situation on radar the likes of which neither of us had ever encountered.

Emanating from a point some twenty nautical miles east of the eastern extremity of the Salisbury Plain Danger Area were a series of six or seven blips moving on a south-easterly track each being separated from the other by about six miles. At about forty miles from the point they appeared on radar they disappeared to be followed almost immediately by a replacement at the point of origin.

I put the FPS 6 Height Finder onto some returns to discover that they were about 3000 feet when they came into radar cover and climbing extremely rapidly so that, by the time they disappeared from radar, they were in excess of 60,000 feet. To climb to such a height in only forty miles was beyond the ability of any fighter aircraft at the time.

The phenomenon was witnessed by four civil and six military controllers on duty at the time. I called Heathrow Radar to discover that they, also, were seeing a similar picture. The same situation prevailed in the Fighter Control Operations Rooms at RAF Neatishead. The three units involved operated different radars from each other thus different frequencies were in use. The weather forecast from the south of England was calm and sunny. I called the Met Office to confirm the strength of the upper winds to find that they were also relatively calm and were about fifty degrees off the southeasterly track of the blips; they also confirmed that there were not Met balloons/probes airborne at the time.

The winds were not strong enough, nor in the right direction, to cause the blips to travel on their observed track, especially at the speed they were travelling. It was estimated that they were doing around 250 knots, but it must be borne in mind that this was a lateral speed as seen on radar – they must have been travelling very much faster to climb over 50,000 feet in less than forty miles. Equally the weather was such that there were no ‘angels’ to affect the radar picture. “Angels” was a euphemism for, what were believed to be, ionozed pockets of air which, under very specific atmospheric conditions, were often seen on radar screens in those days: when seen, these ‘angels’ traveled extremely slowly simply drifting along haphazard tracks. In those days all radars were ‘raw’. That is to say that, whatever was within the coverage of the radar envelope and capable of bouncing (returning) the radar pulse back to the receiver, would be seen on the radar tube. Today’s radars are computerised thus such interference is processed out so as not to affect the picture.

Looking around for some other method of checking what was going on, I discovered that a controller had two Canberras on frequency returning from Germany. One of the pilots agreed to investigate so I assumed control of his aircraft and, having confirmed he was in good visual met conditions, I vectored him on to the blips keeping him regularly updated on their position relative to the Canberra. The aircraft was flying at around nineteen thousand feel and when it got within a mile or so of one particular blip, the pilot reported, in a very agitated voice, that his radar had picked something up heading down his port side by about a quarter of a mile and ‘climbing like the clappers’, it was on a reciprocal heading to the Canberra. The pilot admitted that neither he nor his navigator made any visual contact and confirmed that the weather conditions were such that they would have had no difficultly seeing something that close.

The whole episode lasted for twenty minutes or more before the blips stopped appearing. I impounded the R/T tapes and the Radar Video film and made appropriate entries in the log. Each person in the Ops Room who witnessed the incident was required to write a report. The Squadron Leader in charge of Operations collated the reports and informed higher authority. Within a couple of days I was interviewed in the Squadron Leader’s office by two men who were not identified to me. I, along with all the others in the Ops Room on the day in question, were told in no uncertain terms not to relate what we had seen until cleared to do so. About four years later I was serving at RAF Wattisham when the Station Commander asked to see me. I was told that he had a communication from the MoD about the incident at Sopley and that as ‘nothing could be confirmed’ the situation was such that doubt would be cast on anything I said about it. I took this to mean that I was no longer to remain silent.

I am at a loss to explain what I, and many other people, saw. In those days aircraft could not climb at such a rate. To be seen on displays by three different ground radars, plus the airborne radar in the Canberra, is also a mystery. The weather conditions were very definitely VMC or Visual Met Conditions; the aircraft was clear of cloud by at least a thousand feet vertically and with a forward visibility of at least five nautical miles.

In Mr. Turner’s letter to be dated 10^th November 2007 he apologised for not remembering the exact date of the incident and believes that there are those out there that will use this to discredit his account. An Oregon witness at Eugene reported watching a triangle-shaped UFO with three orange lights that eventually cloaked itself and disappeared, according to testimony in Case 79421 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness – who is a military veteran and amateur astronomer – stepped outside at 8:15 p.m. on September 25, 2016 and noticed a triangle-shaped object over the city.

“I had just stepped out on my balcony for a smoke and sat down in my chair facing east overlooking most of northeast Eugene and north Springfield,” the witness stated. “Looking in the sky above and well beyond the neighbor’s house at the sight line of the power lines, I saw three orange lights equidistant apart and in a triangle.”

But the witness was sure that there should be no bright stars in the sky in that area that time of night and time of year.

“As I looked closer, I saw the bottom most of the lights moving, and then I thought to myself – that makes sense. It is commercial aviation. So I looked back at the other two lights and saw they were moving together too and that it was one triangle-shaped craft rotating on its center axis. All the while I noticed the bright orange lights were shining through what looked like heat shimmer coming off the desert floor. Very much like a scene from the movie ‘Predator’where the ‘cloaking’ around it wavered for just a brief second, and when it did, I saw a large triangle-shaped craft with smooth sides and a smooth metallic bottom with a smaller, circular abutment in the center with a light bluish glow.”

The witness watched as the object appeared to stop moving.

“The craft stopped rotating and it looked like a harrier jet pulling up its nose on a vertical takeoff and then it disappeared. It did leave, but as it was leaving the ‘cloaking’ kicked back in and it disappeared from sight. Like something out of the ‘X files.’”

The witness watched as two helicopters appeared.

“Two helicopters showed up within 30 seconds of the object disappearing. Eugene is a small city and helicopters are fairly rare here with just a couple of overflights a day, but these stayed on station for the better part of an hour circling over the Eugene/Springfield area.”

More hacked emails from the democratic party  were releases by WikiLeaks in the last few days, in particular, the emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta. Podesta is a name that is often attached to the UFO issue, because he has made it no secret that he has a an interest in the topic. So it should come as no surprise that among the thousands of leaked emails, a few reference UFOs and extraterrestrials.

Although some of the emails may indicate that Podesta had some sort of communication with the senders about UFOs, most of the emails are chance references to UFOs or aliens in news headlines or individuals referencing ETs to make a point.

For example, two emails appear to be updating Podesta on recent headlines. One from November, 2015includes a news article and some headlines, one of those headlines referencing a Navy missile test that was mistaken for UFO. Another, from December, 2014, references Dennis Kunich as being a politician mostly known for claiming to have seen a UFO, a fact that was used against him during his presidential run in 2008.

Two other emails involved the idea of extraterrestrial life in emails making points. In an email discussing thedangers of nuclear terrorism, it refers to a concept several scientists have referenced regarding the ability of an intelligent civilizations to not blow itself up with their own super-weapons. The idea is that we are at a stage in which we can either blows ourselves up with nukes, or somehow figure out how to get along and continue to evolve socially and technologically.

The second email, arguing the dangers of German immigration, pokes fun at alien abductees. It states: “Germany’s Immigration Disaster Deniers have as much credibility as alien abductees spirited away in a UFO with Bigfoot at the controls.”

Of course, there are the emails from believers, some being a bit more fringe than others. The oddest one is from a man who wants Podesta and others to warn Hillary that the scientists have it all wrong when it comes to climate change. He argues that the Earth’s climate issues are due to the return of Planet X, also referred to as Nibiru. He says it comes around every 3600 years or so, and is due to pass near the earth again soon, but we cannot detect it because it’s in the Sun’s glare.

Another email, from 2015, appears to be someone representing former astronaut Edgar Mitchell, emailing Podesta in order to setup a meeting regarding Zero-point energy and government disclosure regarding extraterrestrial visitation. The email was sent by an address used by Terri Mansfield. The email mentions Terri in the third person, so some have guessed that the email was sent by Mansfield’s colleague, Suzanna Mendelssohn.

In the email, the sender mentions that Mansfield would be present during the meeting to discuss the Vatican’s awareness of extraterrestrial Intelligence. This is not too surprising given the mission listed on Mansfield website. The site states: ” We educate humans about our work with our nonviolent obedient-to-God ETI, Extraterrestrial Intelligence, from the contiguous universe whose mission is to work with our scientists to bring zero point energy here for the purpose of extending life on our fragile Earth.”

The website goes on to claim that they fundraise only with billionaires.

There is no indication whether or not Podesta scheduled this meeting, or if Mithcell had anything to do with the email. However, Mitchell was into these sorts of topics, and he often discussed his belief in extraterrestrial visitations, so it is entirely possible he asked Mansfield to send the email. Mitchell passed away in February of 2016, so he will not be able to confirm either way.

The emails I have listed so far were found by OpenMinds.tv contributor Shepherd Johnson. However, The Wall Street Journal found a few more. These were from a gentleman who was able to meet Podesta and discuss UFOs. Namely, rock star Tom DeLonge.

DeLonge is another famous UFO enthusiast. In fact, his interest in UFOs has been credited as the reason he left his uber-successful band, Blink 182. Since his split with the band, he has been working on fiction and non-fiction media projects regarding UFOs and extraterrestrials.

He has already release a book titled Sekret Machines, which he says contains some information that is based off of interviews with deep throat informants that have secret information regarding the government’s knowledge regarding UFOs. In July, 2015, DeLonge posted to his Facebook pictures of a video shoot of an interview he conducted with Podesta for a yet to be released documentary on UFOs.

It is still unknown what DeLonge and Podesta discussed, but the WikiLeaks emails give a bit more insight. In the first email, sent on October 26, 2015, DeLonge gives Podesta an update on his projects and asks for a meeting so DeLonge can introduce him to two individuals DeLonge claims are very important people.

DeLonge writes:

Things are moving with the project. The Novels, Films and NonFiction works are blooming and finishing. Just had a preliminary meeting with Spielberg’s Chief Operating Officer at DreamWorks. More meetings are now on the books-

I would like to bring two very “important” people out to meet you in DC. I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you. I just need 2 hours from you.

The second email was sent on January 25, 2016, and is an update to Podesta regarding DeLonge’s meeting with “General  McCasland.”

DeLonge writes:

He mentioned he’s a “skeptic”, he’s not. I’ve been working with him for four months. I just got done giving him a four hour presentation on the entire project a few weeks ago.

Trust me, the advice is already been happening on how to do all this. He just has to say that out loud, but he is very, very aware- as he was in charge of all of the stuff. When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago.

He not only knows what I’m trying to achieve, he helped assemble my advisory team. He’s a very important man.

It would appear DeLonge is referring to Major General William McCasland who is the commander of the U.S. Air Force’s research laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Wright-Patterson AFB has a rich history in UFO folklore as it was the home of the Air Force’s official UFO investigations from 1947 to 1970.

Again, DeLonge’s emails were the only side that was leaked, whether or not Podesta responded is unknown. However, if DeLonge is correct, and McCasland knows something he is not sharing with the public regarding UFOs and/or Roswell, that would be very interesting indeed.

It should be mentioned that Podesta is claiming that some of his emails released by WikiLeaks are not real. He claims some of them have been changed. However, he says he is too busy to comb through all of them to identify which are real and which are not.

DeLonge has yet to comment on these emails, but you can be sure, we will be monitoring his social media.
