PASADENA, Calif. –Volcanic activity on Venus took place in the recent past, geologically speaking, and may still be happening on the planet today. New research takes a deeper look at one recent eruption on Venus' surface.
The Idunn Mons volcano in the southwestern hemisphere of Venus rises 1.6 miles (2.5 kilometers) above the surrounding plains. In 2010, observations by the European Space Agency's Venus Express probe revealed that Idunn Mons is a "hotspot," meaning it radiates high levels of infrared light compared to the surrounding area. That suggests that lava flowed at the spot recently, and that the area is still warm.
Now, a more nuanced look at Idunn Mons suggests that the hotspot observations are consistent with multiple (cooled) lava flows along the volcano's eastern flank, the new research shows. The researchers behind the new work said the finding suggests that Venus' volcanos were active in therelatively recent past, and may still be active today. "Venus is a planet which has always been considered Earth's twin sister," said Piero D'Incecco of the German Aerospace Center and one of the researchers behind the new analysis. "But its cloud cover still hides a lot of secrets."
D'Incecco spoke at a media briefing at the American Astronomical SocietyDivision for Planetary Sciences meeting in Pasadena, California.
Venus Express initially identified the hotspot on Idunn Mons in 2010 using the Visible and Infrared Thermal Imaging Spectrometer (VIRTIS) instrument. Most of Venus' surface appears cool when viewed with VIRTIS, and this is a sign that those regions haven't changed (geologically speaking) in millions of years. By contrast, the researchers who initially studied the hotspot estimated that the region could be less than 2.5 million years old. Unfortunately, the thick clouds that cover Venus prevented the Venus Express probe from getting a more detailed look at the volcano and the lava flows.

The new analysis of lava flows on Idunn Mons uses radar data collected in the early 1990s by NASA's Magellan probe. D'Incecco and colleagues built a new numerical model to simulate lava flows on the top of the mountain and the eastern flanks, and compared that model with the Magellan data.
"According to our modeling, the flank lava flows are the ones responsible for this [hot]spot," D'Incecco said. "This is particularly important because this is the first time we can map, with such a high resolution, lava flows from avolcanic structure which is believed to be recently or still active on a terrestrialbody other than Earth."

Close Encounter in New Jersey
Earle Naval Weapons Station
Monmouth County, New Jersey — Joseph Foster former Coast Guard and FBI agent reports I have been privy to a number of “interesting” UFO related events. The original event I reported took place in the summer of 1958, around August when as a child of ten years old, I lived on Dorbrook Farm with my family. This farm was located in the town of Colts Neck, and later became Dorbrook Park. This town is also adjacent to a military base designated Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle. The base, then as now, is a major ammunition storage facility of the U. S. Navy. It consists of the storage facilities (rumored for years to have “non-conventional” munitions stored there) and its pier and handling facilities that are on Raritan bay, about 13 miles to the north in Leonardo, NJ (on of 13 villages comprising Middletown Township).
Sometime around August of that year my family (mother, father and sister) along with several neighbors were enjoying a pleasant summer evening sitting in our respective front yards located on Route 537 (across the street and a couple of hundred yards beyond a pasture that ran up to the Navy’s Normandy Road, otherwise known as the Navy or government road and rail line). It was around 7:00 pm that evening when we witnessed a unique daylight UFO sighting. This event was never reported in the press, nor was it ever satisfactorily explained to this day.
The object observed was a bright, silver, metallic sphere with reflective properties, similar to that of silver or perhaps polished aluminum (I sighted a similar object years later while at sea and in the Coast Guard returning from a Westpac deployment). The object’s approximate size was that of a pencil eraser held at arms length. The sphere-like object also displayed approximately twenty or so randomly blinking red and white points of light. These blinking lights seemed to flash all around the object however did not appear to be directly attached to it (a similar object was reported to have landed close to the pier facilities years later in July of 1970).
What makes this sighting interesting is that the location of the farm from which the object was first viewed was/is adjacent to the U.S. Navy road and railroad linking the main secure munitions storage facilities to its two mile long finger pier (the largest of its kind in the world) and its adjacent handling functions located 13 miles away in the town of Leonardo, NJ. The road itself is restricted to “authorized use only”, therefore being military traffic and to those officially tasked with moving naval munitions to and from the storage facilities located in Colts Neck. The base services various Navy and Coast Guard ships that tie up at its pier location to on-load and off-load munitions. Note: You could always tell when “interesting” munitions were being transported because the vehicles (be they train or truck) were accompanied by a squad of armed Marines who would block each intersection until the train or truck had passed on it way to and from the pier.
Our modest farmhouse was located facing east on a road then known as RD#1 Eatontown, Rte 537 or just the Old Scobyville road. Looking eastward from my front porch directly across that road and beyond a large pasture, I could easily view the Navy road and railroad winding its way between the main base and its loading facility in Leonardo. It should be noted that the farm’s location is especially significant because it is also close to Earle and Fort Monmouth, two critical military facilities and a world famous AT&T/Western Electric Research and Development laboratory known as Bell Labs. All three of these facilities until recently were considered significant to the military and from a purely, advanced scientific research and development standpoint. Note: This is the Bell Laboratories at which the transistor was invented by Shockly and his team, advanced radar was refined and the first satellite communications capability then known as Telstar was born.
The object itself I observed was moving in what appeared to be on a slightly southwesterly direction at a speed of 40 to 120 mph. Its altitude was between 500 to 1000 feet.
The location from which the object was viewed was essentially from the front yard and porch of my house.

The picture is an aerial photograph of the crop circle and the photograph below indicates the current configuration of the Farm as it is today. Just as a sidebar, several years ago a crop circle also appeared on the farm that is now a county park (see red circle on map).

It should be noted that many years later (around 1995) I came across another witness who observed the same object several miles to the north of my location. This other witness told me that the object actually landed behind his house overlooking a swampy area on the Swimming River. This person lives in the River Plaza section of Middletown Township and is located close to Exit 109 on the GS Parkway.
The object according to the witness actually landed in a marshy area near where Newman Springs Road crosses the Swimming River, between the towns of Red Bank and River Plaza. The location also falls directly along a course and direct line of flight from the Navy’s Leonardo pier facilities to the Ammunition Depot proper located in Colts Neck.
It was also years later I came across the last witness who worked at Fort Monmouth. He is the one who related the story of the object’s actual landing. This is where a UFO crash and explosion at a Nike (anti-aircraft radar guided missile system) site would be linked years later.
Missile Sites Destroyed
Nike Ajax Missile
This now gets me to that linkage between Nike and this event. There were actually two events that took place in May of 1958 involving separate Nike Ajax missile batteries. NY-53 (part of the New York Air Defense system) was a Nike Ajax battery co-located next to the Navy Road in the Leonardo section of Middletown Township about 1 ½ miles from the pier facilities and about 10 miles from Dorbrook farm. On May 22, 1958 the worst accident involving the Nike Ajax missile system took place at this site. Ten men were killed when an entire launch section consisting of eight Ajax missiles, all above ground on their launchers, fully fueled and armed blew up in what was a chain reaction.

The formal report was that it was a “maintenance upgrade” accident. However, in light of another Nike Ajax incident in the same month and same year involving a UFO, this Leonardo incident may have to be looked at again. Note: Heavy UFO sightings were common at this time and UFOs are known to return fire when fired on.
The other Nike Ajax event involving a reported UFO sighting (and crash) took place, also in May of 1958 at a site designated W-93 (W for Washington Nike defense system). This site was located partially in Olney and in Gaithersburg Maryland. Harlan Bentley who was an Army radar operator at the time reported that there were sightings and radar contact with a number of UFOs over a period of time. One morning around 6:00 AM, Mr. Bentley while inside his fenced in compound observed an object careening into the field outside of the fence then again gaining altitude. It dropped a refrigerator sized object back into the field. According to Mr. Bentley, there was also a farmer who was working in the field that stopped and both watched the events as they unfolded. Middletown Nike explosion occurred 22 May.
Mr. Bentley reported this event on a recently released “UFO Disclosure” video. He also stated that he was a radar operator at the time and was associated with this site. As mentioned, the object that left behind radioactive debris that was reportedly recovered by the US Air Force at the time shortly after the event. He and the rest of the battery were told that the Air Force had an experimental aircraft and that is what crashed. They were also told that they were not to discuss this event.
Some time between 1960 and 1966 after the site was decommissioned and acquired by FEMA region two to be used as an underground, classified, regional command center. There is a strong indication that there may in fact be a linkage between these two Nike batteries and the UFO events that transpired in both geographic locations. For the Navy road add a significant event that took place in 1970 again, about 1 ½ miles away from the Navy pier and you end up with strong circumstantial evidence. For the 1970 incident, there may be another tie to the Nike system, this time perhaps involving a nuclear-armed Nike.
Note: Hercules missile as opposed to the conventionally armed Ajax. No “smoking gun” but definitely food for thought and investigation.
Editor’s Note:Coast Guard personnel report a likely base off the coast as UFOs are often seen entering and leaving the Atlantic Ocean.
McGuire AFB N.J. Bomarc Missile Site
On 7 June 1960, an explosion occurred causing a fire in a liquid-fueled, nuclear-tipped BOMARC missile site in the Northeast corner of McGuire Air Force Base. To my knowledge no other air to air missiles were destroyed nationwide except those in New Jersey where heavy UFO presence was reported.
Were the UFOs giving us a warning against using nuclear tipped missiles to destroy Soviet bombers. All sites were eventually decommissioned.
Underground Facilities
Raven Rock Underground
Bill Hamilton writes, One of the earliest American underground facilities was built at Raven Rock in Pennsylvania. The military refer to it as “Site R.” Sounds like “Section D.” Raven Rock was picked because it is made of greenstone, a type of granite that is the fourth hardest rock on earth. Construction started in 1950, and engineers had completed a series of tunnels and a three-story building by 1953. Two more three-story buildings were completed by 1963. The complex lies 650 feet beneath the 1,529-foot-high summit of Raven Rock and can be entered through four portals. The mountain has everything needed to survive a catastrophe: some of the best dining in the Army, chemical suits, a fitness center, a medical facility, a barbershop, legal services, a chapel, designated smoking areas and a convenience store. It has six 1,000 kilowatt generators and 35 miles of cable on 180 telephone poles. Remember, this is one of the early underground sites, and probably does not compare with some of the new underground cities that have been constructed in more recent years.
Mount Weather
One of the first of nearly 100 Federal Relocation Centers was built in rural Virginia’s Mount Weather. It took years to complete, but when complete resembled a city more than an emergency installation. Mount Weather was equipped with such amenities as private apartments and dormitories, streets and sidewalks, cafeterias and hospitals, a water purification system, power plant, and general office buildings. The site includes a small lake fed by fresh water from underground springs. It even has its own mass transit system–small electric cars that run on rechargeable batteries and make regular shuttle runs throughout the city.
As recently as 1992, the papers reported the existence of a Cold War secret, the government had built a $14 million underground bunker in West Virginia and maintained it for more than three decades for Congress to use in the event of a nuclear attack.
White Sulphur Springs
The hideaway Capitol was built under the fashionable Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, about 250 miles from Washington. Its location was known only to a relative handful of the nation’s highest- ranking officials. From 1958 on, the very existence of this facility was a closely guarded secret. Very few in Congress or the executive branch knew of the program. The rumors that an underground city exists under the Enchantment Resort in Boynton Canyon in Sedona, Arizona may not be so far fetched after all. Eggs cannot be put in one basket. The Greenbrier bunker has living quarters and work space for 800 people as well as separate meeting halls for the House and Senate.
Ramenke, Russia
We are always willing to release more about the other side’s secrets than our own. We find that the Kremlin and other buildings in Moscow are still linked by underground rail tunnels to an area about six miles outside the city center called Ramenki, site of a vast subterranean bunker designed for the country’s leaders and their families. It was described as an underground city about 500 acres in size, built at several levels from 230 feet to 395 feet. This bunker could shelter as many as 120,000 people!
Oakville-GradeNapa California
According to the Napa Sentinel, a secret underground installation is under construction near the Oakville Grade in Napa County, California, and is being used by the Government for direct satellite communication, the Continuity of Government (COG) program in case of nuclear attack or other disasters, and secure communication links with the outside world in case of disaster.
YUCCA MOUNTAIN
Not all underground sites are shelters. The Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Project took a first step in November, 1993 when it started construction on the entrance pad for its Exploratory Studies Facility (ESF). This pad is the launching point for 14 miles of tunnels that will be drilled directly under Yucca Mountain. The tunnels will measure 24-30 feet in diameter for some and 16-18 feet in diameter for others. This project will eventually cover some 70 acres of surface and underground facilities. This DOE project will contain alcoves for experiments located along the tunnels.
Skeptics have expressed doubts about the existence of extensive underground tunneling and cavitation. They always ask, “Where is all the dirt?” This method of asking a question to disprove an allegation is misleading and faulty logic at best. Skeptics favorite question about the alien presence is “Why don’t they land on the White House Lawn?” Of course, the rejoinder should be “Keep off the Grass signs prevent them.”
One of the new methods of tunneling that have been under study is “nuclear tunnel boring.” U.S. Patent No. 3,693,731 dated Sept. 26, 1972 describes a method and apparatus for tunneling by melting. It says, “a machine and method for drilling bore holes and tunnels by melting in which a housing is provided for supporting a heat source and a heated end portion and in which the necessary melting heat is delivered to the walls of the end portion at a rate sufficient to melt rock and during operation of which the molten material may be disposed adjacent the boring zone in cracks in the rock and as a vitreous wall lining of the tunnel so formed. The heat source can be electrical or nuclear. The melted rock is forced into cracks wherein heat is given up to the crack surfaces and freezes as a glass at some distance from the penetrator. This amazing boring device is capable of drilling at depths totally inaccessible with previous drilling techniques, even, according to the patent claims, down to 30,000 meters. The nuclear tunnel boring machines were invented by scientists and engineers at Los Alamos, called their new machine, the “Subterrene.” In 1975, an A. A. Mathews, Inc. report reveals that the initial experiments were done in the 1960s and the Subterrene performs its job rapidly and economically by “the formation of a glass lining. The use of a nuclear reactor and heat pipes to provide power for kerf penetration within the tunneling machine itself contributes to the overall economy of the system. A Los Alamos symposium held in Atlantic City in 1986 proposed the construction of a Subselene for tunnel melting for high-speed lunar subsurface transportation tunnels on the moon.
US Air Force Drilling Machine
There is rumors of a subterranean highway through America just like our own Interstate highway system, except its underground. There are shuttle tubes that “shoot” the trains at incredible speed using a mag-lev and vacuum method. They travel in excess of the speed of sound. Skeptics have scoffed at claims that 100-mile long tunnels run from one military base to another. Yet, engineers have planned for tunnels to span the nation. Skeptics do not believe in alien visitations. It is even more difficult for them to accept the idea that aliens have inhabited the earth for a long time and like to live underground and out of sight.

There are an increasing number of abductees who report being taken to underground bases. Perhaps ancient underground facilities will eventually reveal the truth.
Robert Salter, of the RAND Corporation, has suggested building a subway from New York to Los Angeles magnetically levitated above the tracks. The trains would zip through the evacuated tunnels crossing the country in less than one hour. Building such a train presents no special technological problems, but the cost of tunneling from coast to coast would. The beauty of the Subterrene is that, as it burrows through the rock hundreds of feet below the surface, it heats whatever stone it encounters into molten rock, or magma, which cools after the Subterrene has moved on. Ancient Egyptian Tunnel
Editor’s Note: Whether or not nuclear subterrene tunneling machines have been used, or are being used, for subterranean tunneling is a question I cannot presently answer. However, a friend who won the Best New Jersey Teacher Award was given a tour of Egypt’s ancient archelogical sites that included tunnels that were guarded by soldiers with machine guns. She stated the tunnels were perfect with unbelievable accuracy and amazingly smooth that went on as far as you could see. She felt they must have been built by ET or an advanced race.
EMP Could Destroy our Civilization
An executive order by President Obama was issued Thursday, October 14, that outlined the country’s contingency plan in the event such weather events lead to significant disruption to systems like the electrical power grid, satellite operations or aviation. Allegedly the Russians have a EMP weapon that also could wipe out the electrical power grid in the United States.
“Space weather and the EMP weapon has the potential to simultaneously affect and disrupt health and safety across entire continents,”the order states.

“It is the policy of the United States to prepare for space weather events to minimize the extent of economic loss and human hardship.”
Obama’s order warns that if large portions of the nation’s electrical power grid is knocked out by a large solar flare or EMP, it would result in cascading failures that would affect your home’s electrical system, water supply, healthcare and transportation.
Preparing a response for an event of this kind is described in the order as an “all-of-nation endeavor” that requires cooperation between government agencies like NASA, the media, academia, the insurance industry, and the private sector. The space weather referred to in the order also includes temporary disturbances to the Earth’s magnetic field caused by solar activity, as well as something known as solar energetic particles, which are ions and electrons ejected from the sun.
Solar flares are common occurrences and rarely cause any knock-on effects on Earth. They refer to brief eruptions of intense energy on or near the Sun’s surface that are typically associated with sunspots.
Large power transformers (LPT) that maintain the power grid are suseptible to distruction by EMP weapons or the sun. Replacement LPTs have long been a major concern for the U.S. electric power sector, because failure of a single unit can cause service interruption and lead to collateral damages, and it could be difficult to quickly replace. LPT can cost millions of dollars and weigh between 100 and 400 tons. Manufacturing of LPTs is a complex process that requires prequalification of manufacturers, the purchase of special copper and electrical steel, and special modes of transportation due to its size and weight. The result is the possibility of extended lead times that could stretch beyond 20 months.
Perhaps the most famous incident of space weather having dramatic consequences on Earth was a solar storm in 1859 known as the Carrington Event. Auroras were seen as far south as the Caribbean and telegraph systems across Europe and North America failed.

California Object
Sudbury — I looked up while having a smoke outside on October 12, 2016, and a craft from the west appeared and was heading east.
Clearly a disc shaped object with two pulsating lights at front with windows in the middle.
Object was very low and no sound. Flew by and went behind houses. It was only viable for 5 seconds but it was not a plane.
Yosemite National Park — This is information and footage/screenshots from a friend that was sent to me. He was filming the landscape on October 10, 2916. He actually did not notice that he captured a video of a UFO until later. The object appears flying through the sky and slightly banking to its right extremely fast and completely silent, we were both in the military together and agreed that was mot a military craft. As you can see from the footage it appears in upper left corner and disappears behind the mountains to the right. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Colorado Triangles
Aurora — Around 11 o’clock at Babi Yar Park in Denver four of my friends and I were filming a video project for school on October 15, 2016.
. I looked up to see an object that looks like a B-52 bomber, but it was matte black dark and made no noise. The object had a leading edge of 10 lights with one in the center and four on the sides of the leading edge of the wings. The object was flying Southwest about 2000 feet moving at around 300 miles an hour. I asked my friends to look up and immediately 3 of the 4 saw the object but one only saw a flying blob. Winter Park — I was driving home after picking up my daughter on September 29, 2016, and my ex then I saw on the horizon six red objects.
I stopped the car and got out using my cell phone I started to take pictures by that time they started to change color and disappear my ex was scared at first and me and my daughter were excited to be able to see them right in front of us this is not the first time I’ve seen UFOs in this neighborhood. Georgia Lights
Newnan — I was taking a walk about dusk around 7:30 pm on October 16, 2016, about 15 miles south of Hartsfield Jackson Airport. There two very bright lights in the sky, that were not airplane lights. The orb lights stood out and were also closer together than any planes would be on approach to the airport. They were very round, glowing circle , glowing orbs. After taking the pictures with an iPhone 6s , I zoomed in and in the middle of the orbs there seems to be something in the middle of each of them. I was excited that this could be my first l sighting. I texted my buddy the picture and he checked flightradar 24 but nothing on the app showed aircraft in the area. Elgin — About 11:30pm Friday October 14, 2016, I went outside on my patio and saw there was a nice full moon. I was focused my camera toward the moon and at the bottom of the screen I saw a light that I thought was a star. I snapped the picture and I aimed my camera again. This time the light that I thought was a star kept abruptly moving in various directions. Suddenly it would disappear and a second later reappeared several times then shot straight up behind the moon. It came over the top of the moon as a larger red oval with a whitish green glowing center and disappeared. I called my boyfriend who also was able to see it moving. Oregon Rectangle
Canby— On September 25, 2016, I’m not sure what this is, but it was in a video my mom took of a bird and it goes across the screen in just three frames. (her iPhone captures video at 16 FPS). I would like to have it analyzed by a paranormal specialist, but I cannot attach the video because it is too high of a resolution for my phone to be able to send or hers by text or email. If anyone can identify this for me, please do so. I am attaching a still from the video of the object. The timestamp is at 12 PM Pacific time. I just want answers. I can’t send the video because it is on my mom’s phone. It was moving way faster than anything biological at an estimated 170 MPH+?.

Texas Orb
Greenville– I was looking at the full moon on October 15, 2016, and looked up and zoomed my iPhone and saw this object in the sky. It was a blue green sphere with pulsating lights. It was hovering, and then changed directions. The video could not capture it very well except for a few seconds. I had to go inside so had to stop recording. Washington Triangular Object
Vashon Island – On October 11, 2016, I saw the black triangular object descending in the eastern sky. It was surrounded in flames that were flickering as coming through our atmosphere flaming. I watched it for about 10 minutes as it slowly went down behind the treeline from my view on Vashon Island. The point of the black object in middle of flames was up and the wider end was going down.
Note: The photo does not show the dark triangular object described by the witness. Looking at the photo the object could be a meteor. Tornado — While in the yard with my son I saw the object fly slowly overhead and out of sight on October 16, 2016.

New South Wales — In the early hours of Saturday, October 1, 2016, I woke during the early hours of the morning, I noticed it was still dark outside, when I woke turned my body around in the direction of our bedroom door, where I saw a “grey” standing there. The height of the alien would have been over 6 feet, grey in color with black eye’s and a slender figure. He look directly at me, tilted his head to the side and made a movement with his arm, I felt so at peace that I dropped off again. Thankfully there was enough ambient light within the house to view him clearly. Later that week I attended the doctor’s, as I do every week for a scan and treatment, however on this scan, it showed that I’d been exposed to nuclear radiation. Aberfoyle, Ontario — I left work at 8:56 p.m. on October 13, 2016, heading NE, I noticed two bright lights peaking in and out of the tree tops slightly to the south of me, but glimpses were fleeting. About 5 minutes later, I turned NW onto a hilly, windy road, and again, the two orbs stayed in the same spot. At 9:03, I reached the top of the hill and was able to pull over safely and film it. At that point they’d been hovering in place for 7 minutes. I took four thirty-to-sixty-second videos before my battery started to run low.Once I started descending the hill again in my car, I lost sight of them. The video is jumpy and all you can see are two glowing lights, so I took a print screen and adjusted the brightness and contrast to show the tree line for perspective. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Thessaloniki— My friends and I were standing in front of Hagia Sophia sightseeing on September 30, 2016, when we caught a glimpse of the described object in question. I immediately considered it to be some sort of UFO. The object was in shape of a triangle, translucent / transparent in color, with obscured outlines and unwavering lights at three apexes. It seemed to be hovering / floating over buildings, ascending, descending, leaning to sides. We were surprised, making no action; just taking two photos of object (unfortunately with a digital camera with almost discharged batteries which is the reason for the images to be of very low quality. Guatemala Rectangle
Mixco — I was getting out of the house walking to my car on October 15, 2015. I am on a 2nd floor and have a clear view towards the hills where I saw a white flash emitted by the object. I thought it was a blimp or maybe a drone. After the flash I noticed the object which was moving slowly towards south that either flipped or changed shape. Now it was looking more like a rectangle. But then it disappeared behind a cloud. This made me change my mind about the size. No drone flies that high. The color was gray non reflective and there was no sun at the time of the sighting. The event lasted less than a minute. My guess is it was about 2-3 miles away which makes me guess that the size was about 70 feet. At first I was confused, no plane flies that slow. Geneva — About seven guys saw the ufo, near the Geneva Stadium from different angles on October 12, 2016. They all say the same thing, that it was a disc shape ufo that was literraly hovering in the air for about 30 seconds and then disappears in a flash. It had four lights on the side. UK/England Orbs
Huntingdon —Driving from March to Benwick saw in the sky bright light going up and down with a trail behind it. Trail consisted of individual tiny lights – sparkly. This is the second consecutive year I’ve seen this phenomena over Huntingdon. On both occasions there was a lead light followed by a sparkly trail. The lead light simply moved up and down in a smooth, controlled motion with the sparkly trail following it. The movement was almost hypnotic and regular.. on the video you can see that it disappeared up into the clouds and did not reappear. The same happened last time. Andover — On October4, 2016, I was at work and went outside for tea break and several of us noticed a plane. I noticed a small shiny object ahead of the plane and pointed it out to the other people there and said it didn’t look like a plane. There were no wings and no vapour trail. Lang werd gedacht dat de atmosfeer van Mars continu dezelfde hoeveelheid water verloor. Maar ruimtesonde MAVEN schetst een heel ander beeld.
De hoeveelheid waterstof die Mars verliest, varieert van tijd tot tijd sterk. De hoeveelheid waterstof die weet te ontsnappen, piekt wanneer de planeet het dichtst bij de zon staat en bereikt een dieptepunt wanneer de planeet het verst van de zon verwijderd is. En wanneer de planeet het dichtst bij de zon staat, kan er tot wel tien keer meer water ontsnappen, dan wanneer de afstand tot de zon het kleinst is. Die conclusie trekken onderzoekers op basis van metingen van ruimtesonde MAVEN.
Langdurig Onderzoekers hebben al wel eerder gepoogd om een beeld te krijgen van de hoeveelheid waterstof die aan Mars ontsnapt, maar vaak waren dat maar momentopnamen. MAVEN heeft de atmosfeer van de rode planeet gedurende een heel Martiaans jaar (bijna twee aardse jaren) bestudeerd en kan dus een veel completer beeld geven.
Waterstofatomen Waterstof in het bovenste deel van de Martiaanse atmosfeer is afkomstig van waterdamp in de lagere delen van de atmosfeer. Een watermolecuul in de atmosfeer kan door zonlicht worden opgebroken, waardoor twee waterstofatomen vrijkomen. En die waterstofatomen kunnen door toedoen van verschillende processen in de atmosfeer aan die atmosfeer ontsnappen.
Seizoenen Uit de resultaten blijkt dat de afstand tot de zon een rol speelt bij het ontsnappen van waterstof. Hoe dichter Mars bij de zon staat, hoe intenser het zonlicht dat Mars bereikt. “Daarnaast is de atmosfeer wanneer Mars dichter bij de zon staat, turbulenter,” legt onderzoeker John Clarke uit. “Dit kan ervoor zorgen dat water in de lagere delen van de atmosfeer naar hogere delen van de atmosfeer reist, waardoor er daar periodiek meer waterstof te vinden is dat kan ontsnappen.” Maar waarschijnlijk zijn er nog meer factoren die belangrijk zijn. Kijk je naar Jupiter, dan zie je de verschillende bruine en witte wolkenbanden. Stel, je pelt de atmosfeer van Jupiter als een ui, dan blijf je de strepen nog lang zien.
Dankzij de Juno-ruimtesonde weten we nu dat de wolkenbanden niet alleen in de bovenste atmosfeer zichtbaar zijn, maar ver doorlopen in de atmosfeer van Jupiter. Juno heeft instrumenten aan boord die met behulp van microgolven diep in de atmosfeer van de grootste planeet van het zonnestelsel kunnen kijken.
“De structuur van zones en banden blijft herkenbaar wanneer je dieper in de atmosfeer van Jupiter duikt”, zegt hoofdonderzoeker Scott Bolton. Dit betekent dat de kleuren van de wolkenbanden op een andere plek ontstaan. “Dit is absoluut een verrassing voor veel wetenschappers.”
De foto hierboven laat zien hoe Jupiter er op een diepte van 350 tot 400 kilometer uitziet. Er zijn nog steeds wolkenbanden te zien, al verschillen ze hier en daar van de wolkenbanden in de buitenste schil.
“Het is voor het eerst dat we dieper in de atmosfeer van een gasplaneet duiken”, zegt Bolton. “We zien nu eindelijk de dynamische processen in de atmosfeer van Jupiter. Dit is pas het begin.”
Overigens gaat het niet goed met Juno. Het ruimtevaartuig schakelde eergisteren over naar de veiligheidsmodus, waardoor er tijdens de scheervlucht gisteren geen nieuwe close-upbeelden zijn gemaakt van de gasreus. De intense straling rond Jupiter vormt een uitdaging, maar wetenschappers beweren dat dit niet de boosdoener is van de problemen. Inmiddels is de veiligheidsmodus uitgeschakeld, maar de instrumenten staan nog niet aan.

De Europese ruimtevaartorganisatie bevestigt dat Marslander Schiaparelli is neergestort op Mars. De lander viel op een hoogte van twee tot vier kilometer naar beneden, waardoor Schiaparelli met een snelheid van meer dan 300 kilometer per uur op de rode planeet klapte.
Het nieuws komt niet als een grote verrassing. Woensdag slaagde de ESA er niet in om contact te krijgen met de lander. De Mars Express en NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter luisterden aandachtig, maarpikten het signaal van de lander niet op. ESA-wetenschappers gaven de moed niet op en kondigden gisteren aan te blijven luisteren. Nu blijkt dat dit niet langer hoeft, want van Schiaparelli is niet veel meer over.
De foto in het midden laat de situatie voor de tijd zien. Op de foto rechts zie je de gecrashte lander.
Grote donkere vlek De Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter heeft Schiaparelli gespot op Mars. Het ruimtevaartuig maakte foto’s van Meridiani Planum: de landingsplaats van de lander. De korrelige foto is naast een kiekje gelegd dat eerder dit jaar is geschoten. Er is veel veranderd. Zo is er een helder vlekje zichtbaar met daarboven een grotere zwarte veeg.
Het lichte vlekje is de twaalf meter brede parachute. Deze ligt redelijk ongeschonden op de buurplaneet van de aarde. Dit geldt niet voor Schiaparelli. Een kilometer ten noorden van de parachute is een donkere veeg te zien met een oppervlak van vijftien bij veertig meter. Een enorm oppervlak. Zo groot is de lander niet. Wetenschappers denken daarom dat Schiaparelli is geëxplodeerd op Mars.
Betere foto’s Komende week wordt de HiRISE-camera van de Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter op de landingsplaats gericht. Waar de bovenstaande foto een resolutie van zes meter per pixel heeft, maakt HiRISE foto’s met een resolutie van 0,3 meter per pixel. Grote kans dat we dan veel meer te zien krijgen.
Zo had de landing van Schiaparelli er eigenlijk uit moeten zien. De lander dringt met een snelheid van 23000 km/h de atmosfeer binnen, op elf kilometer afstand van het oppervlak klappen de parachutes uit. Deze remmen de lander af. Stuwraketten hebben gefaald Wat is er precies misgegaan? Dat is op dit moment nog onduidelijk. Sowieso ging het tot de laatste vijftig seconden voor de landing nog goed. Na het loslaten van de parachutes veranderde dit. De negen stuwraketten moesten het werk overnemen en Schiaparelli veilig op het oppervlak zetten. Waarschijnlijk hebben deze stuwraketten geen controle gekregen over de snelheid en zijn ze eerder dan verwacht uitgeschakeld. Eigenlijk zouden de stuwraketten pas twee meter boven het oppervlak moeten stoppen.
ExoMars-rover Het is belangrijk dat we de oorzaak weten waarom Schiaparelli is neergestort. De landingsmodule was namelijk een proefkonijn om te testen of het landingsmechanisme werkt. Na 2020 gaat de ExoMars-rover naar de rode planeet. Dit beestje zal op dezelfde manier landen als Schiaparelli. Kortom, dat is op dit moment geen goed nieuws. Schiaparelli zou slechts enkele dagen actief blijven, maar de ExoMars-rover is een dure en ambitieuze missie. Daarbij mag niets misgaan. Gelukkig hebben wetenschappers nog een paar jaar de tijd om het landingsmechanisme te verbeteren. Na de mislukte landingen van Beagle 2 en Schiaparelli kunnen we over een paar jaar hopelijk zeggen: driemaal is scheepsrecht.

We hebben de metingen van de Viking-landers die suggereerden dat er leven was op Mars wellicht te snel van tafel geveegd. Dat stellen onderzoekers.
Marsrover Curiosity heeft sterke aanwijzingen gevonden dat Mars – een planeet die nu koud en droog is – ooit warm en vochtig was. Het wijst erop dat de planeet miljarden jaren geleden geschikt was voor het ontstaan en in standhouden van leven. Maar is het mogelijk dat de planeet ook vandaag de dag nog levende wezens herbergt? Absoluut, zo schrijven onderzoekers in het blad Astrobiology. In het paper – dat tot 15 november gratis online in te zien is – halen de onderzoekers experimenten van oude en recente Marsmissies aan.

LR-experimenten Zo komen met name de Viking Labeled Release (LR)-experimenten aan bod. Marslanders Viking 1 en Viking 2 voerden dit experiment op verschillende plekken op Mars uit. Het doel? Nagaan of er microben verstopt zaten in de Marsgrond. De landers voorzagen de Marsgrond van voedingsstoffen en wachtten vervolgens rustig af of er stoffen vrijkwamen – radioactieve koolstofdioxide of methaangas – die erop wezen dat microben de voedingsstoffen tot zich hadden genomen. En jawel, de experimenten wezen erop dat microben in de Marsgrond aan het werk waren. “Hoewel de onderzoekers uiteindelijk concludeerden dat de experimenten Martiaans leven gedetecteerd hadden, was en blijft dit een zeer controversiële conclusie,” zo schrijven de onderzoekers. “Velen geloven dat het Martiaanse milieu schadelijk is voor leven en de LR-metingen niet-biologisch waren en toegeschreven moeten worden aan een nog niet geïdentificeerde oxidant (of oxidanten) in de Marsgrond.”

Niet-biologische verklaring? Maar we moeten de LR-metingen niet te snel van tafel vegen, zo vinden de onderzoekers. “In de jaren na Viking zijn er veel pogingen gedaan om de LR-resultaten niet-biologisch te verklaren, maar tot op heden is er geen enkele niet-biologische verklaring die aan alle eisen voldoet (…) De algemene consensus ten tijde van Viking was dat de positieve LR-metingen een niet-biologische oorzaak hadden. Maar informatie van latere missies naar Mars trekt hetgeen waarop die consensus gebaseerd is in twijfel en het is tijd om een biologische verklaring voor de LR-resultaten te heroverwegen.”

Water Zo werd er ten tijde van de Viking-resultaten vaak gezegd dat de aanwezigheid van microben in de Marsgrond onmogelijk was, omdat de planeet geen vloeibaar water bezit. “Maar resultaten van recente missies voorzien ons van sterk bewijs dat vloeibaar water, weliswaar in kleine hoeveelheden, beschikbaar is.” De onderzoekers wijzen er bovendien op dat op aarde verschillende ‘extremofielen’ leven: bacteriën die onder zeer extreme omstandigheden weten te overleven. En als dat hier kan, waarom dan niet op Mars? “Als er ooit leven op Mars aanwezig is geweest, kan het zich hebben aangepast en geëvolueerd zijn terwijl Mars transformeerde en veranderde in een koude planeet waarop weinig water beschikbaar was.” De onderzoekers concluderen dan ook dat levensvormen op Mars wellicht gebruikmaken van cryptobiose: een overlevingsstrategie die organismen onder extreme omstandigheden (zoals kou en een gebrek aan water) inzetten. Hun stofwisseling komt dan op een laag pitje te staan en als de extreme omstandigheden minder worden, voeren ze de stofwisseling weer op. De Martiaanse bacteriën zouden dat laatste bijvoorbeeld doen wanneer er water voorhanden is. “Al met al sluiten de studies naar water op Mars leven niet uit, ongeacht of LR het nu gedetecteerd heeft of niet. Hoewel de beschikbaarheid van water op de landingsplekken van de Viking-landers op het moment dat de LR-experimenten werden uitgevoerd onbekend was, lijkt de aanwezigheid van water op Mars over het algemeen een biologische interpretatie van de LR-experimenten te onderschrijven.”
Organische moleculen Een andere reden om de aanwezigheid van microben op Mars in twijfel te trekken, was de afwezigheid van organische moleculen: de bouwstenen voor leven zoals dat op aarde voorkomt. Inmiddels weten we dankzij Curiosity echter dat deze moleculen wel degelijk op Mars te vinden zijn.
Methaan En ook het periodiek vrijkomen van flinke hoeveelheden methaan lijkt voor de aanwezigheid van leven te pleiten, zo stellen de onderzoekers. Het methaan zou door microben geproduceerd worden, zich ondergronds verzamelen en periodiek vrijkomen door toedoen van geologische activiteit.
Verstandig De onderzoekers willen zeker niet beweren dat de Viking-landers leven hebben gedetecteerd, maar we hebben de mogelijkheid dat er nog leven is op Mars na de LR-experimenten wel te snel van tafel geveegd. Afgaande op de meest recente ontdekkingen op Mars lijkt het “verstandig als de wetenschappelijke gemeenschap biologie als een geldige verklaring voor de resultaten van de LR-experimenten ziet”.
Rekening houden met de mogelijkheid dat er nog steeds leven is op of net onder het oppervlak van Mars heeft verstrekkende gevolgen voor toekomstige Marsmissies. Denk dan ruimtemissies die erop gericht zijn om Marsgrond naar de aarde te brengen. Die Marsgrond zou dan immers zomaar buitenaardse levensvormen kunnen bevatten. Ook zouden we tijdens bezoekjes aan Mars nog meer moeite moeten doen om te voorkomen dat aardse microben de rode planeet koloniseren. Dat kan op twee manieren: gebieden die leefbaar lijken, mijden en ruimteschepen goed desinfecteren voor ze vertrekken. “We moeten opmerken dat Mars wellicht al geïnfecteerd is door de vele ruimtevaartuigen die er geland zijn.” De onderzoekers wijzen er vervolgens op dat Viking op unieke wijze gesteriliseerd werd: NASA bakte de sondes 40 uur lang op 110 graden Celsius. Geen enkele ruimtesonde na Viking is op soortgelijke wijze gesteriliseerd. “De LR-experimenten van de Vikinglanders kunnen wel eens de enige zuivere leven detecterende experimenten zijn die we ooit hebben gehad.” Grote vraag blijft: hoe moeten we ze interpreteren? De onderzoekers pleiten voor vervolgonderzoek dat eigenlijk alleen doorgang kan vinden als we op het oppervlak van Mars actief op zoek gaan naar (sporen van) leven.

STRANGER THINGS IN SPACE
Too often, when we encounter a seemingly unexplainable occurrence in space, we automatically think Aha! Aliens! It’s not exactly best practice to jump into declaring extraterrestrial life with a snap of a finger. But neither should we be too skeptical. A bit of both, certainly.
That’s why, when Laval University astronomers E.F. Borra and E. Trottier submitted a study about stars producing what appears to be ETI signals, we shouldn’t ignore it, nor swallow it entirely. In any case, the strange phenomena comes from their study of data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Analyzing the spectra of 2.5 million stars, they came across 234 that produced the same strange signal — pulses of light at constant time intervals.
The stars were all “overwhelmingly in the F2 to K1 spectral range,” the authors claimed, very similar to our own Sun. Is it possible that, like our Sun, these stars host a system with intelligent life, and are sending signals to contact other intelligent species?
WITH GREAT CLAIMS COME GREATER BURDEN OF PROOF
To Borra, it seems very likely, especially since the findings match a 2012 study he’d writtenabout ETI signals. The authors easily dismissed three of the five possible explanations to the phenomena and settled on two: either these are effects of the Sloan instrument itself and data reduction, or they are ETI signals.
But are they really? It remains difficult to say, especially since the authors acknowledged that “the signals are due to highly peculiar chemical compositions in a small fraction of galactic halo stars.” And it is very possible to have a subset of stars that behave this way.

As the saying goes, “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence,” which theBreakthrough Listen Initiative team quotes in a response to Borra’s findings. The Breakthrough team isn’t too eager about the whole study, giving it a 0 to 1 score on the Rio Scale. That says a lot coming from a group dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial intelligent life.
In this case, we’ll have to stick to the likeliest possibility: the 234 blinking stars are what they are — blinking stars.
Journey to Mars: Beginning of Intergalactic Travel?
The most recent discussion of a 660 million mile Mars mission has centered around Elon Musk and SpaceX’s plans to fly an unmanned mission to the red planet as early as 2018. But NASA is in the thick of helping SpaceX’s Red Dragon reach Mars. The hope is that NASA’s mission to put boots on Mars itself sometime in the 2030s will be helped significantly by what SpaceX learns from its Mars Mission.
The U.S. Congress recently authorized spending for the “Journey to Mars” project although continuing budget problems could delay the project. In the meantime, NASA continues its rover missions with a new Mars rover mission scheduled to land on the planet in 2020.

The NASA “Journey to Mars” is expected to include the construction and deployment of a space station, like the ISS, in Mars orbit. The Mars Space Station will serve as a base camp for subsequent missions. Additionally, a number of companies are working on full-size deep space habitats with the bells and whistles needed to take care of astronauts on missions to the moon, Mars, and beyond.
NASA reportedly will not go it alone on missions to Mars. Just as it has done with the International Space Station (ISS), scores of countries will play a role including the European Union, Russia, Japan, China, India, and others.
NASA had planned to launch the InSight Lander for Mars in 2016 but suspended the program due to its inability to repair a leak in the science payload. According to NASA:
“Learning about the interior structure of Mars has been a high priority objective for planetary scientists since the Viking era,” said John Grunsfeld, associate administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “We push the boundaries of space technology with our missions to enable science, but space exploration is unforgiving, and the bottom line is that we’re not ready to launch in the 2016 window. A decision on a path forward will be made in the coming months, but one thing is clear: NASA remains fully committed to the scientific discovery and exploration of Mars.”

In many parts of the world, the lack of an adequate supply of clean water is a serious problem. As per UNICEF estimates, worldwide, about 2,000 children under the age of five die every day from diarrhoeal diseases and of these some 1,800 deaths are linked to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
In a big breakthrough, VICI-Labs in collaboration with UC Berkeley and the National Peace Corps Association have developed a device with a goal to provide a sustainable source of clean, safe water.
This device is known as “Water Seer.” It relies on simple condensation processes to collect clean water from the atmosphere. It works without using any power source, without generating any sort of pollution or environmental impact, without the need for costly chemicals or maintenance.

How the Water Seer Works:
The Water Seer device has a vertical wind turbine on its top, and it functions by utilizing wind power. It is planted six or more feet into the ground, and then the soil is packed around its metal neck. When the wind spins its internal fan blades, it draws air into the subterranean chamber. Since it is cooler underground, the air condenses into water in the reservoir to create a sort of an artificial well.
This clean drinking water can be delivered to the surface by using a simple pump and hose.
It works well even in areas with a very harsh climate. It can yield up to 37 liters of pure water a day, and the best part is it is priced at just $134.

Denver International Airport conspiracy exhibit features OpenMinds.tv
Conspiracy theories abound when it comes to Denver International Airport, a fact that the airport has embraced in recent years. So much so that they have recently installed a temporary exhibit that covers some of these theories and their prosaic explanations. It even features a story found right here onOpenMinds.tv.
The exhibit can be seen here in the middle of the room on level 5 west of the Jeppesen Terminal near the north security checkpoint.

The exhibit is titled “Conspiracy Theories Uncovered.” If you are visiting the airport anytime soon, you can see the exhibit on the west end of level 5 of the main terminal.

The exhibit features video, artwork, props and more, explaining some of the most pervasive airport conspiracy theories and the ‘real’ explanations behind them. Visitors will enjoy a compilation of all things mysterious, sinister and strange having to do with DEN. This free exhibit is open 24-hours a day.

The OpenMinds.tv story featured in the exhibit was about a large event held to celebrate the midway point of the construction of a large build-out that included a new public plaza and commuter trains from downtown Denver. The event was held in October, 2013, and the theme was alien conspiracies. They tweeted about a secret alien bunker and strange findings to generate mystery around the event.

A Georgia military witness recalls an event from 2005 where a chrome sphere UFO “the size of a basketball” followed his platoon training exercise for two days, according to testimony in Case 79847 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was serving in the infantry at Fort Benning, GA, when the incident occurred on July 10, 2005.
“The first day half of our platoon went out and then the second day the rest of the platoon would be taken out for the training,” the witness stated.“At the end of the first day, the first half came back going on and on about a UFO. I wasn’t there so I thought they were mistaken or outright making up stories.”
Then on the second day, the second half of the platoon went out to the training grounds.
“Two or three people from the first day also came out with us. Within a half-hour we started hearing a loud buzzing sound. The men who were there the first day start yelling, ‘It’s coming. It’s coming. That’s the noise we heard it make the whole time.”

The witness looked up to see the object that had been described the day before.
“Sure enough about 50 feet over the tree tops comes this chrome metallic sphere. The buzzing was loud. Like it had a motor going inside it. Though the sphere looked complete. I couldn’t see any openings or ports. It would follow us hovering, and then changed direction and heading. Though it always kept us in line of sight. Sometimes it would go so far out and up that we couldn’t hear the buzzing and could barely see the glint of the chrome in the sun. At least a quarter mile out.”
The witness thinks the object may have been early drone technology.
“I always thought it was a drone. This was 2005 so drone designs were coming out every day. I thought for sure someday I would get an explanation. I always was sure it was our own military using my platoon as training for this object. The funny part is the closest thing to someone else seeing something like that and matching my story was a UFO encounter. But I’m still sure you’re going to read this and go, ‘Yeah, yeah. It’s some never-made-it U.S. drone design.’ If that is the case, sorry for wasting your time. If it wasn’t for my buddy hearing my story and making me fill out reports, I never would have said anything. I mean it was like 11 years ago.”

Donderdag is rond 18.30 uur een onverklaarbaar object vastgelegd in de lucht boven Pijnacker. Dat meldt Telstar Online.
De UFO, die door een verslaggever van de krant is gefilmd, was bolvormig van kleur, gaf een witte schittering af en vloog op grote hoogte voorbij.
Bij UFO Meldpunt Nederland zouden donderdagavond veel meer meldingen zijn gedaan over een soortgelijk vliegend object.
Intelligentie
“Een vliegtuig was het zeker niet, misschien een weerballon of toch iets buitenaards,” zei Martijn Mastenbroek, die iedere week een radioprogramma presenteert waarin het gaat over onder andere graancirkels en UFO’s.
“Er wordt altijd lacherig gedaan als het over dit soort zaken gaat,” zegt Mastenbroek. “Maar wat is waarschijnlijker? Een man die drie dagen in de buik van een walvis zit, iets wat miljoenen mensen geloven, of een soort van intelligentie in een stelsel dat is ontstaan onder dezelfde omstandigheden als op aarde?”

Een 250.000 jaar oud stuk aluminium wordt gezien als bewijs dat de aarde is bezocht door aliens. Aluminium wordt eigenlijk pas de laatste 200 jaar op grote schaal gebruikt door de mens.
De ontdekking van een groot stuk dat mogelijk honderdduizenden jaren oud is, wordt dan ook gezien als een sensationele vondst. Het stuk werd in 1973 ontdekt in het communistische Roemenië, maar werd gelijk opgeborgen.
Bouwvakkers stuitten langs de rivier de Mures op 10 meter diepte op drie voorwerpen. Archeologen stelden vrijwel gelijk vast dat twee van de voorwerpen fossielen waren.
Lichte soort metaal
Het derde leek op een stuk door mensen gemaakt metaal en men vermoedde dat het om een stuk van een bijl ging. Alle voorwerpen werden voor analyse naar een lab in de stad Cluj gestuurd.
De twee botten bleken toe te behoren aan een groot uitgestorven dier dat tussen 10.000 en 80.000 jaar geleden over de aarde zwierf. Het derde voorwerp was een erg lichte soort metaal.
Oud aluminium voorwerp (CEN)
Het voorwerp bestaat uit 12 soorten metaal (90 procent aluminium) en is gedateerd op 250.000 jaar oud. Een lab in het Zwitserse Lausanne kwam tot dezelfde conclusies.
Fragment van een UFO
Het voorwerp is 20 centimeter lang, 12,5 centimeter breed en zeven centimeter dik. Het stuk metaal bevat gaten, waardoor het lijkt alsof het onderdeel is geweest van een mechanisch systeem.
Op internet wordt momenteel een verhit debat gevoerd over de vraag of het object onderdeel is van een UFO en bewijs voor buitenaards bezoek in een ver verleden.
Gheorghe Cohal van de Roemeense Vereniging van Ufologen vertelde aan lokale media: “Labresultaten tonen aan dat het een fragment van een UFO is.”
Onbekend
De lokale historicus Mihai Wittenberger claimde dat het voorwerp afkomstig is van een Duits gevechtsvliegtuig uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Het metalen voorwerp wordt tentoongesteld in het historisch museum van Cluj-Napoca. Bij het voorwerp staat een bord met daarop de tekst: ‘Herkomst nog onbekend’.

Planeet X deed mogelijk het hele zonnestelsel kantelen, zo zeggen onderzoekers. In januari presenteerden sterrenkundigen bewijs voor het bestaan van een nog onbekende planeet in het zonnestelsel.
Onderzoekers suggereren dat deze wereld 10 keer zo zwaar is als de aarde en op een afstand die 500 keer groter is dan de afstand tussen de aarde en de zon om onze ster draait.
Uit eerder onderzoek bleek dat Planeet X een sterk gekantelde baan heeft. Wetenschappers hebben vervolgens onderzocht of de planeet ook andere gekantelde banen in het zonnestelsel kan verklaren.
Computersimulaties
Volgens hoofdonderzoeker Elizabeth Bailey van het California Institute of Technology in Pasadena kan Planeet X de andere planeten in het verleden hebben gekanteld.
Eerder bleek al dat de zone waarin de acht planeten om de zon draaien, zes graden gekanteld is ten opzichte van de zon.
Bailey en haar collega’s voerden computersimulaties uit waaruit blijkt dat de kanteling van de acht officiële planeten kan worden verklaard door de zwaartekracht van Planeet X.
Andere mogelijkheden
Er zijn ook andere mogelijkheden. Een alternatieve verklaring is dat elektrisch geladen deeltjes onder invloed van het magnetisch veld van de zon het zonnestelsel hebben gekanteld.
Als Planeet X wordt gevonden, kunnen de onderzoekers kijken of de planeet echt verantwoordelijk is voor de kanteling. Het onderzoek is gepresenteerd tijdens een bijeenkomst in Californië.

Onderzoekers suggereren dat deze wereld 10 keer zo zwaar is als de aarde en op een afstand die 500 keer groter is dan de afstand tussen de aarde en de zon om onze ster draait.
Uit eerder onderzoek bleek dat Planeet X een sterk gekantelde baan heeft. Wetenschappers hebben vervolgens onderzocht of de planeet ook andere gekantelde banen in het zonnestelsel kan verklaren.
Computersimulaties
Volgens hoofdonderzoeker Elizabeth Bailey van het California Institute of Technology in Pasadena kan Planeet X de andere planeten in het verleden hebben gekanteld.
Eerder bleek al dat de zone waarin de acht planeten om de zon draaien, zes graden gekanteld is ten opzichte van de zon.
Bailey en haar collega’s voerden computersimulaties uit waaruit blijkt dat de kanteling van de acht officiële planeten kan worden verklaard door de zwaartekracht van Planeet X.
Andere mogelijkheden
Er zijn ook andere mogelijkheden. Een alternatieve verklaring is dat elektrisch geladen deeltjes onder invloed van het magnetisch veld van de zon het zonnestelsel hebben gekanteld.
Als Planeet X wordt gevonden, kunnen de onderzoekers kijken of de planeet echt verantwoordelijk is voor de kanteling. Het onderzoek is gepresenteerd tijdens een bijeenkomst in Californië.
Een man met de naam Waldemar Czarnetzki maakte een video-opname van deze UFO’s, die er toch weer iets anders uitzien dan die die we bezig zagen boven Parijs.
Deze lijken op het eerste gezicht ook op een soort solide ronde bollen, maar zijn dat bij nader inzien toch ook weer niet. Ze lijken meer op een soort pluizenbollen die ook verschillende groottes hebben.
Of dit werkelijk zo is, of dat het komt door de vertekening van de camera, is niet duidelijk. Wat wel duidelijk is, is dat we hier te maken hebben met zeer snel vliegende objecten zoals blijkt uit de video. Objecten die ook duidelijk onder een soort intelligente besturing staan en die niet zomaar wat heen en weer vliegen.
Van wat wij kunnen begrijpen van het Spaanse commentaar bij de volgende video, kwamen deze UFO’s opdagen, net nadat er een grote chemtrail door een passerend vliegtuig was achtergelaten.
Vanwege de overeenkomsten, hierbij nog een deel uit het eerdere artikel over de UFO die een chemtrail (deels) vernietigt boven Parijs.
Wat ze niet laten zien op de televisie zijn beelden zoals die hierna volgen en die gemaakt zijn in Parijs op 26 september 2016.
Ook daar, net als hier, enorme chemtrails en dan verschijnt er opeens een ronde UFO in beeld.
Maar, wat heel bijzonder is, is dat na verloop van tijd de chemtrail rondom de UFO begint op te lossen.
De man die het geheel heeft gefilmd zegt het volgende:
"Ik dacht eerst dat het een drone of een helikopter was. Maar na het observeren van dit object gedurende een minuut of tien kreeg ik het vermoeden dat het misschien toch niet menselijk was. Het voerde vreemde bewegingen uit, dan weer heel snel en dan weer heel langzaam, zonder dat er een bepaald patroon te herkennen was.
Toen de UFO zich opeens in de richting van een enorme chemtrail bewoog, pakte ik snel mijn camera en probeerde het object te filmen.
Het bleef voor de chemtrail hangen en begon het langzaam te vernietigen. Het leek alsof het de chemtrail langzaam aan het “opeten” was. Ik was totaal sprakeloos.
Ik kan er nog steeds niet over uit dat ik zoiets heb weten vast te leggen. De chemtrail werd echt letterlijk “doorboord”. Ik ben er niet 100 procent zeker van dat dit gebeurd is door het object, maar ik weet zeker dat er een verband is tussen de UFO en de chemtrail.
Een dergelijke grote chemtrail kan niet zomaar vanzelf verdwijnen zonder aanleiding. En alleen een klein deel van de chemtrail wordt vernietigd, net het gedeelte rondom de UFO.
Nadat de UFO de chemtrail had “aangevallen”, begon het achterwaarts te bewegen en vloog weg in westelijke richting. Het verdween behoorlijk snel.
Ever since its translation in 1800 from ancient texts discovered in Ethiopia in 1768, the Book of Enoch has created a stir in academic circles. Enoch has been proven to have existed and was mentioned before the existence of the church. Several copies of it were discovered in 1948 among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Some even believe we can trace back stories that have great similarities to Ancient Summer.
Parts of the Book of Enoch tell the story of the evil angels who kidnapped and paired with human women, resulting in the creation of a hybrid race known throughout the secular and biblical history as the Nephilim.
The first parts of the book detail the interaction of the Fallen Angles with Mankind:
“…And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them: “I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.” And they all answered him and said: “Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.” Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it…”
This is how the Nephilim, aka Giants, were created, as described in the book:
“…And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three hundred ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood…”
In the introduction to the Book of Enoch we read that: “Enoch is a just man, whose eyes were opened by God so that he saw a vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the sons of God showed to me, and from them I heard everything, and I knew what I saw, but [these things that I saw will] not [come to pass] for this generation, but for a generation that has yet to come.”
While it only covers the first four verses of Genesis 6 (also refer to Genesis 3:15, 2 Peter 2:4-6, Jude 6-7), Enoch refers to this story in great detail. In fact, we are able to find a list with names of 18 prefect Angels –out of a total of 200— who committed the great sin.
Interestingly, this ancient text also details how these fallen angels taught mankind how to make swords and knives, shields and breastplates (metallurgy)… magic medicine, root-cuttings (medicinal and hallucinogenic use), incantations, astrology, the course of the moon, as well as how to deceive man;
“…And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all coloring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl, taught astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun, and Sariêl the course of the moon…”(Source)
By the time of Noah, “Earth was already corrupt before God, and the Earth was filled with violence, all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.”
Fearing the consequences, the fallen angels called upon Enoch to speak with God on their behalf.
But God used Enoch to deliver a message of judgment against the Fallen Angels.
God did not forgive them for teaching mankind the use of the arts of magic and form of war.
This, however, is summarized in great detail by Pastor Chris Ward.
“According to the Book of Enoch (Not a Canonical Text), God judged the angels for producing the Nephilim. God decreed that the fallen angels (Watchers) were to be cast into Tartarus. The Nephilim were also judged, and it was determined that their bodies were to return to the earth in peace, but their souls were doomed to wander the earth forever (as) wandering spirits…”
