In april publiceerde dr.
Pulsar
The International Space Station (ISS) is a constant source of conspiracy theories and UFO conjectures. NASA operates a live feed of cameras aboard the ISS, and it seems like a new video appears on YouTube every week purporting to show proof UFOs or a NASA coverup. While most of these turn out to be baseless conjectures or doctored footage, the ISS seems to be the source of some recent somewhat verifiable strangeness. NASA recently detected unknown microbial colonies growing on the walls of the ISS. While some level of biological contamination should be expected on the inside where astronauts’ disgusting human bodies float around stinkin’ up the joint, finding possible life on the outside of the space station is much more unexpected – yet that’s exactly what Russia’s state space agency, Roscosmos, is reporting.
“Definitive proof of alien contact!” says every YouTube UFO channel any time orbital debris or lens flares are seen on ISS live streams.
In 2014, Roscosmos cosmonauts collected cosmic dust samples from the outside of the ISS and analyzed them for any signs of extraterrestrial life. According to Russian state-owned news agency Tass, Roscosmos scientists now believe the samples may contain “biomaterial” that is not of this planet:
The micrometeorites and comet dust that settle on the ISS surface may contain biogenic substance of extra-terrestrial origin in its natural form,. The ISS surface is possibly a unique and easily available collector and keeper of comet substance and, possibly, of biomaterial of extra-terrestrial origin.
Tass explains that the ISS spends much of its time orbiting in the wake of dust streams and other “substance flows” trailing off of the backs of comets, which have been claimed to spread organic and biological material throughout the universe. NASA has yet to issue a comment on the reports. Most likely, any microbial life on the exterior of the space station could be terrestrial in origin and could have come into contact with the space station through incidental means. Still, it’s worth looking into – if Roscosmos actually has found organic material on the exterior of the ISS, that is. Strangely though, another development this week hints that something odd might indeed be going on at the International Space Station.
The ISS had a close encounter this week.
On May 1st this year, commercial aerospace firm SpaceX launched a mysterious spy satellite into orbit on behalf of the National Reconnaissance Office. The exact nature and purpose of satellite NROL-76 is unknown, and SpaceX cut the live feed of the satellite’s launch just as the rocket entered its second stage. Sure, spy satellites and commercial rockets launches are relatively commonplace today, but it’s the satellite’s behavior that has skywatchers befuddled.
Looks like SpaceX got itself a cushy defense contract.
According to satellite tracking blog SatTrackCam, the NROL-76 passed within just a few kilometers of the ISS on June 3rd, just outside of its collision avoidance zone. The satellite then circled the ISS before entering its own orbit.
Satellites rarely pass this close to other objects or craft in orbit – especially so soon after their launch.
SatTrackCam’s Marco Langbroek claims that this type of activity is an anomaly, and should certainly attract some suspicion in the international aerospace community:
I am struggling to understand why the NRO allowed this close approach to happen, if it was not intentional. This event was bound to attract attention and that harms the classified character of the mission. It is also an extremely sloppy thing to do because this close an approach to a high profile object like ISS is politically risky. As the ISS is an international cooperation which includes two parties (the United States and the Russian Federation) that are currently geopolitically on an uneasy footing, sending your military payload so close to the ISS as one party is eyebrow raising.
On another satellite tracking site, SatObs.org, Ted Molczan writes that “I am inclined to believe that the close conjunctions between USA 276 and ISS are intentional, but this remains unproven.” The announcement by Roscosmos of possible alien life on the outside of the ISS is unusual given the timing of this satellite fly-by. Could the two be related? Who knows. But put this mysterious development alongside the unexplained nuclear activity being detected in the Arctic and the anomalous “killer” satellite activity seen in Russian satellites, and it’s possible that Cold War 2.0 is already getting interesting.

On April 11, 2017 a UFO sighting was reported in York County. It is under investigation by the Mutual UFO Network. Sean Heisey, York Daily Record
The universe is a big place.
It is vast beyond our imagination – at least if your imagination is somewhat less active than that wheelchair guy – and it is ever expanding, creating new space for new planets and solar systems and galaxies and strip malls, a kind of cosmic sprawl.
It would be solipsistic of us to believe that we are the only beings in the universe who have built great cities, tamed and then destroyed our environment and domesticated the dog to the point where we exist as a support system for canines. (If aliens ever visit, they will immediately try to talk to our dogs to learn about our culture. The dogs are clearly in charge. I mean, we follow them around and pick up their poop.)
There has to be intelligent life out there somewhere because, as Monty Python once opined, "there's bugger all down here on Earth."
These are notions to ponder as we delve into the news, kind of, of a close encounter of some kind that may have occurred somewhere around here.
According to a report received by the Mutual UFO Network, called MUFON, for short, the person who witnessed it was inside watching TV when the person, who was not identified, saw two bright lights in the distance.
At first, the witness believed it was a new cell tower, but it wasn't. The witness reported to MUFON that the lights did not move for a while, and after a few moments, a smaller light detached from the larger one and hovered below it.
The witness then reported that the larger of two objects, described as a large craft, moved toward the witness and passed, low, over the witness's house. "It was diamond shaped and had a rectangular light underneath it," the witness was quoted as saying. "In that rectangle was a red light, then a white light, and then a green light. The lights were not flashing. The UFO was humongous and made a humming noise."
It hovered and then both things began to move, the witness reported. "When it took off, the small thing that came out of it went straight up," the report continued. "When the light came out of the right corner or what would have been the right corner (the only thing I could see at that point were the two huge lights) it seemed that the small thing came off that light. Almost like it was poured out of that light."
The witness reported, "Anyway, it scared me a lot, and I have looked for a hovering jet picture on the net, but did not see any that looked like it. And why would a hovering jet be spitting out a small craft like that? Before it took off, it had stayed unmoving for at least 10 minutes, maybe longer, before I noticed it. In relationship to its size, it was huge. I watch planes in the distance from my backyard and the little thing that came out of the big UFO would have been the size a commercial airplane like I see all the time going toward Harrisburg airport. So the big UFO was really, really big."
So, aliens? Little green men? Are they the kind of docile, kind aliens of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Or are they huge tentacled insects bent on world domination and killing off the human race as in "Independence Day"? Or are they the really tall mutes who want to eat us, as featured on "The Twilight Zone"?
Or are these craft part of a fleet of intergalactic airliners that took a wrong turn around Albuquerque?
Who knows?
Well, Bill Weber might know.
Bill Weber is MUFON's chief investigator for Pennsylvania and Delaware, and as such, the report from York was funneled to him. Weber declined to release either the name of the witness or the location of the sighting, saying the organization maintains confidentiality with those who report things like this. The closest city was York was all he would say about it.
He said he has assigned an investigator and will await the results of whatever he comes up with.
Typically, he said, the investigators interview the witness, search the area for corroborating witnesses, review any photographs or video, stuff like that. In some cases, they file Freedom of Information Act requests with the Federal Aviation Administration for radar data and analyze that.
In many cases, he said, there is an explanation for whatever witnesses think they saw. It could be a terrestrial aircraft – as opposed to an extraterrestrial aircraft – or it could be birds or bats, or it could be something else entirely, maybe a drone or something. Some reports are hoaxes and MUFON's investigators can easily debunk them, he said.
Weber estimates that between 80 and 85 percent of the cases the organization investigates conclude with a logical explanation. "It's only about 15 percent that we tend to classify as unknown," he said. That doesn't mean it's an alien craft, only that "we can't figure out what it is."
Among those reports investigators apparently figured out was another from Pennsylvania, reported in 1997 and published on MUFON's website.
It reads: "It was like a spinning top but the bottom was not pointed, lots of multicolored lights, lots of see-through window at top. At least 15 or 20 aliens unlike the standard look, they were half human and half standard look, full bodies, beautiful looking creatures all moving about and communicating whatever. All had the same colored outfits and all the lights constantly moving. All windows seem to be moving or turning separately from the bottom. The bottom then had a long yellow light dropping to the ground and a small stepside Ford or Chevy pickup lowered slowly to the ground and disappeared over the hill ahead and then the UFO disappeared. I followed to find it and could not find it, but at the bottom of the hill daylight stunned me and it was 6:30 a.m. I don’t know where the night went."
Aliens in a pickup truck? Were these some kind of interstellar migrant workers? Are we going to have to build a bigger wall? And what's "standard look"?
Well, we may never know.
Confirmation: The Hard Evidence of Aliens Among Us? is a rarely seen 1999 documentary on the UFO phenomena.

UFO Disappears Into Portal Above Colorado?
UFO Disappears Into Portal Above Colorado?
A video that has been viewed millions of times on social media appears to be fake.
CLAIM
A UFO was seen disappearing into a portal over Colorado.
RATING
UNPROVEN
ORIGIN
On 17 April 2017, a video was posted to the Facebook page “I’m From Denver”, showing what appears to be an unidentified flying object. The video, which came with a claim that it was spotted over southern Colorado, was shared more millions of times:
Because the page doesn’t say exactly where in southern Colorado the video was allegedly filmed, we can’t check with local authorities to verify whether residents actually saw something that looked extraterrestrial in the night sky and caused alarm. However because the video shows something rather outlandish happening, one would expect it to have been covered by the local news media — and there are no reports in Colorado matching the description of such a sighting (although the southern Colorado region known as San Luis Valley is an apparent hotspot for UFO sightings).
This video, in fact, didn’t originate in Colorado, but was initially reported in March 2017 with people claiming they had seen it somewhere over Sonora, a Mexican state that touches the United States border:
Humans have no known contact with extraterrestrials; however, we aren’t sure whether the video was computer generated or the result of a light trick. There are tabloid media reports out of Mexico that claim residents saw the object and were frightened by it, but they don’t quote any sources. Meanwhile the use of drones using LEDs to createlightshows (or troll the credulous) is a well-known pastime.
Gabe Hash, a Spanish-language YouTube personality who delves into unexplained phenomena, claimed he could explain the video with the help of two computer-savvy volunteers who were able to recreate the effect in less than a day using a program called Adobe After Effects:
In the video, Hash casts doubt on the idea that the lights seen in the video were real as opposed to computer generated. He says (in Spanish):
The post says that the object was seen by residents. But that’s not true, since there is no other proof besides this video and no official mention of the event. Secondly, the video is only 30 seconds long and nobody is talking while the person is recording it, meaning that it meets all the characteristics of an animation. Most of the video is blurry and as I’ve said below, this is done to camouflage the animation… In conclusion, in our opinion the video is fake and just an animation rendered via computer. Judge for yourselves.
However, since this video is impossible to prove or disprove without knowing more about what and where it is supposed to be, we can only rate it as Unproven.
An artist’s conception of TRAPPIST-1. (Credit: ESO)
If we detect alien life on a planet in the TRAPPIST solar system, there’s a chance they’ve already spread to one or more of the other six planets orbiting this ultra-cool, ultra-tiny star some 40 light-years away.
In May 2016, scientists made headlines when they discovered three, Earth-size, rocky planets (in February scientists announced they found four more) orbiting a red dwarf star that’s roughly the size of Jupiter. Planets in this system huddle around their home star in tightly packed orbits—TRAPPIST-1b circles its star once per day. And since red dwarfs are cooler than our sun, it’s thought that several of these planets could be habitable, despite close proximity to their star.
This tightly packed solar system begs a tantalizing question: Are these planets exchanging life via space rocks? There are theories that life on Earth may have come from Martian rocks. And if that’s the case, Harvard University researchers Mansavi Ligam and Abraham Loeb argue that the odds of the same thing occurring in the TRAPPIST-1 system are magnitudes higher.
Sowing Seeds
The panspermia hypothesis, credited to Big Bang skeptic Fred Hoyle, underlies all of this life-exchanging talk. Basically, it states that asteroids, comets and meteorites laden with microbes crash into virgin planets, and the surviving microbes sow new life. A few years ago, scientist Steven Benner threw out a provocative idea during a geochemistry conference: Perhaps life on Earth began with organisms clinging to rocks from Mars.
Billions of years ago, conditions on Earth were far too hellish for life to take root. But perhaps a major impact sent Martian rocks flying into space on a course toward Earth. The rest, as they say, is history. It’s still a theory, but there are organisms that can survive the ravages of space—ahem, tardigrades.
In a study published Tuesday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Ligam and Loeb built a mathematical model, borrowing from theoretical ecology, to see how the panspermia hypothesis might play out in the TRAPPIST-1 system. Based on their analysis, if Mars could send life to Earth, it’s far more likely that the same thing would happen at TRAPPIST-1.
If you boil down the math, their results are intuitive: The distance between two planets in the TRAPPIST-1 system is tens of times less than the distance between Earth and Mars, which increases the efficiency of material exchanges. Thus, there’s a higher chance TRAPPIST planets are throwing life-seeds back and forth.
An Exciting Theory, But a Theory Nonetheless
Of course, there’s no telling what kind of organisms, if any, would be hitching a ride on TRAPPIST-1 rocks, so it isn’t possible to know if TRAPPIST organisms would survive the trip. Their model is also very simplified, because we just don’t know much about TRAPPIST-1. When did the planets settle into their orbits? Are there a sufficient number of meteorites slamming into planets to launch life-seeding rocks through space (a.k.a. cause spallation)? These are just a few Ligam and Loeb raise in their work.
Looking forward, we first need to determine if life indeed exists in TRAPPIST-1. Telescopes that will be launched in the coming years will be able to probe planets’ atmospheres in the system to detect biosignatures associated with life as we know it on Earth. Scientists could also search for “red edge” spectral signals that hint at the presence of vegetation.
If life exists, researchers could then theoretically verify the panspermia hypothesis, as well. If “red edge” signals are the same on various TRAPPIST-1 planets, that would indicate life sprung forth from a singular source.
Life as we know it relies on “left-handed” amino acids and right-handed sugars, for example. If organisms on TRAPPIST-1 planets all adhere to the same chirality rules, that’s a good sign that life hopped from planet to planet. But if the rules were different on each planet, it would be an indication that life evolved in isolation.
Extraterrestrial life will always capture even the most casual stargazer’s imagination, and these theories about TRAPPIST-1 are certainly titillating. Unfortunately, patience will be the mantra for years to come, as we’ll need to wait for new, technologically advanced telescopes to come online before putting hypotheses to the test.
1977 'Wow!' Signal Was Not a Comet, Could Have Been Aliens
1977 'Wow!' Signal Was Not a Comet, Could Have Been Aliens
YouTube
By Jason Devaney
A mysterious radio signal detected in deep space 40 years ago was not from a comet and might have been from alien life, according to a new theory.
Dubbed the "Wow! signal because of a note scribbled on a printout of the signal by the man who detected it, the cosmic sound lasted 72 seconds and has puzzled astronomers for years. A new paper claims it was from a comet, but that insistence is being debunked by another expert.
Senior astronomer Seth Shostak of the SETI Institute told Live Science the frequency of the transmission detected by astronomer Dr. Jerry Ehman is telling.
"I don't think anyone ever found such emission from comets," Shostak told Live Science.
What the signal might have been, according to experts, was some sort of transmission from an extraterrestrial life form.
Ehman also disputes the claim that a comet was the source of the transmission, telling Live Science, "We should have seen the source come through twice in about 3 minutes: one response lasting 72 seconds and a second response for 72 seconds following within about a minute and a half. We didn't see the second one."
Astronomers have not seen the same radio transmission since it was detected in 1977.
In 1977, astronomer Jerry Ehman discovered a mysterious signal when working with Ohio State’s “Big Ear” telescope in Delaware. When Ehman first saw the signal on a printout, it was so large and unusual that he circled it and wrote “Wow!”, thus giving the signal its name. It’s also been passed around as possibly the best evidence in support of those who believe alien life is out there.
The Wow! Signal was 30 times stronger than usual background radiation and was broadcast at the same frequency with which hydrogen glows. Some astronomers believe this is the best frequency to look for alien signals, leading conspiracy theorists to claim that the Wow! Signal is in fact a message from extraterrestrials.
Astronomers at the time knew the signal could not have come from Earth, and they believed the signal had come from a region of space near the constellation Sagittarius.
Since the signal’s discovery in 1977, scientists have attempted and subsequently failed to explain its origins, however, recent evidence from Antonio Paris, an astronomy professor at St. Petersburg College, suggests the signal was due to passing comets — not life beyond our planet.
The Center for Planetary Science, which Paris helps run, previously suggested a passing comet and its cloud could be the origin of the Wow! Signal. A comet known as 266/P Christensen was, in fact, in the sky in 1977 when the signal was recorded, however, this was unknown to astronomers at the time.
Using a 10-meter radio telescope, Paris and his team observed the comet as it was passing. The team found that both comet 266/P Christensen and comet P/2008 Y2 (Gibbs) were passing through the particular region of the sky Ehman was observing in 1977. These comets were not known to scientists until 2006. When the radio telescope was moved even 1 degree from the comet in 200 trials by Paris and his team, the signal faded.
Paris admits that it is not entirely proven whether these comets in particular were responsible for the signal, but his team has acknowledged the 1977 Wow! Signal was indeed a natural phenomenon generated by a comet.
An unusual picture taken in daylight somewhere in Leitrim has been recorded by Filer's research Institute, the US based National UFO Center. The image which looks like the moon was reported in Leitrim (exact location not recorded) on May 7 this year by an anonymous observer.
The person who reported the UFO said “There was no movement or sound. I turned to call my wife and it was gone at 2.15pm. It was weird and a tad spooked in truth.” The sighting could be a plasma ball or it could just be the moon!
While Leitrim is not a well known location for unusual objects in the sky, we are located close to a “hotspot” for UFOs. The area around Lough Key and Boyle is believed to be located where an orbital track intersects. Boyle has been the focus of UFO sightings in Ireland with Dr Eamonn Ansboro astronmer conducting research from his Kingsland Observatory for 20 years.
According to reports the most recent UFO sighting was just over a month ago from a man in Boyle who was driving on the N4 to Sligo. He saw two balls of light about 50 meters in front of him.

‘Bizarre UFO clearly rising into portal in sky' seen by one million in shock video
‘Bizarre UFO clearly rising into portal in sky' seen by one million in shock video
A SENSATIONAL video that shows what appears to be a bizarre-looking UFO disappear into a "portal in the sky" has been viewed by more than one million people.
The video, which was posted on the Facebook page “I’m From Denver”, claimed the flying object was spotted over southern Colorado.
It shows an odd shaped cluster of lights rising before a square portal opens in the night sky and disappears.
If a true recording, the video would be one of the most compelling pieces of video evidence of UFO activity.
However, it has now been exposed as likely to be a fake made using CGI technology.
Fact checking website Snopes.com investigated the release.
In an article branding it fake, it said: "Because the page doesn’t say exactly where in southern Colorado the video was allegedly filmed, we can’t check with local authorities to verify whether residents actually saw something that looked extraterrestrial in the night sky and caused alarm.
"However because the video shows something rather outlandish happening, one would expect it to have been covered by the local news media — and there are no reports in Colorado matching the description of such a sighting (although the southern Colorado region known as San Luis Valley is an apparent hotspot for UFO sightings.”
Snopes went onto say that the video did not even originate from Colorado, and was first reported in March this year as being Sonora, a Mexican state on the US border.
They did find Mexican tabloid media reports about some residents witnessing it.
However, Gabe Hash, a Spanish YouTuber said it had been possible to recreate the video using a program called Adobe After Effects.
He said two tech volunteers took less than a day to recreate the film.
We can’t check with local authorities to verify whether residents actually saw something that looked extraterrestrial in the night sky and caused alarm.
Snopes.com
Translated from Spanish, he said there were no official accounts of the sighting.
He added that at just 30 seconds long, with no-one talking, it had the hallmarks of CGI animation.
He said: "Most of the video is blurry and as I’ve said below, this is done to camouflage the animation… In conclusion, in our opinion the video is fake and just an animation rendered via computer."
Snopes.com concluded the case was unproven, adding: "Since this video is impossible to prove or disprove without knowing more about what and where it is supposed to be, we can only rate it as unproven."
The same phenomenon has been recorded on cameras across the globe.
The strange phenomena, described as an orb of light inside a disk-shaped purple haze, continues to make headlines worldwide after being captured on camera.
In the latest case, The Irish Sun reported that a "bizarre UFO" was pictured in daylight above County Leitrim, which it said was a UFO hotspot.
The newspaper website described it as an "eerie snap of a UFO," and said it had been recorded as a sighting by the Filer’s Research Institute, the US-based National UFO Center, run by Major George A. Filer, who spent 20 years in the Air Force working as an intelligence officer, and is now convinced aliens exist.
The Irish Sun warded of sceptics, saying: "Before you dismiss it as a picture of the moon at night – the image was taken in broad daylight."
It called on astronomer Eamonn Ansbro of Kingsland Observatory in Boyle, Co Roscommon, for his view.
He said he thought the latest sighting could be a new form of light known as a plasma ball.
He said: "There’s a similar ball of light that has been seen in a place called Hessdalen in Norway.
“I know the people who operate there and they have automated instrumentation that has recorded them, and we’ve had recordings here as well.
“It appears to be a new form of light in physics that we don’t know about yet, so we’re putting the physics to it to see what it’s about.”
But, Express.co.uk can reveal that the object in question is actually a common form of lens flare - meaning there was nothing outside the camera when the snap was taken.
Lens flares occur when a camera is pointed towards strong sunlight or artificial lights.
It causes light to refract inside the camera before the anomaly in question then appears on the final image.
Despite this countless pictures showing the lens flare are sent to UFO investigation databases across the globe, and few ever appear to get removed or confirmed as lens flares.
Witnesses usually say in their report that they saw nothing at the time, but spotted the object when reviewing the images later.
This is because there was nothing in the sky at the time.
In the latest case the anonymous photographer in County Leitrim said: "The purple haze was not there or visible to the eye. I’m confused in truth.”
The US-based Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) holds the worlds largest database of UFO sightings.
I think MUFON should have a section with typical FAQs to help people to identify correctly their alleged UFO sightings.
Scott Brando
It is regularly sent images showing the same lens flare, but it rarely updates its website to say they have been dismissed as such.
MUFON usually receives 20 plus reports, often including photographs or video, from people around the world each day.
We found scores of alleged UFO pictures sent in by members of the public to MUFON that were clearly or likely to be just lens flares.
In most of these cases the person filing the report said they saw nothing at the time, but spotted the "object" after later reviewing the picture.
In many situations the lens flare only appeared in one or two of a series of images.
In one case the photographer, a man from Los Gatos California, said: "As soon as we looked at the pictures, to our amazement, we had captured a strange orb with layers of colour around it in a couple of the shots."
MUFON
Similar lens flares that have been reported to the MUFON database.
Despite the high volume of red-herring reports with the potential to be easily solved, MUFON lists the majority of them as still unresolved.
Although there is reference to lens flares on the MUFON website, there is no specific article highlighting the different types which people could refer to before sending in images.
We showed the County Leitrim "UFO" to Scott Brando, a forensic UFO investigator behind the website ufoofinterest.org which exposes hoaxes and false UFO sightings.
He said: "Well, this picture cropped shows just a lens flare."
He provided examples of the same lens flare produced by cameras pointed at the sun."
He said: "I think MUFON should have a section with typical FAQs to help people to identify correctly their alleged UFO sightings.
"Of course this means people will learn to identify a 'flying object' before sending a report to MUFON."

When you call yourself ‘The UFO Capital of Australia’ because of the hundreds of sightings there since World War II but you’ve had none in the past year, you tend to get worried. When there’s nothing else in your town to attract tourists besides a single restaurant, a park and a roadhouse selling gas, beer and souvenirs, you begin to wonder what you did to offend the aliens. That’s the situation right now in Wycliffe Well, Northern Territory, considered to be – until last year – one of the top five UFO hotspots in the world. What happened?
Scientists say the sky is full of Ley Lines, which act like highways for the UFO’s to travel along. But these energy lines must meet somewhere and one of those crossroads or intersections lies directly above the middle of Australia. That’s why we see so many here.
Lou Farkus is the owner of the Wycliffe Well Holiday Park and depends on that alleged Ley Lines intersection about 400 km north of Alice Springs for his survival. Wycliffe Well popped up as a watering point along the stocking route for the 3200 km Overland Telegraph Line which connected Darwin with Port Augusta in South Australia in 1872. It was a market center for troops during World War II, but after the war only two soldiers remained to keep the market open for stores in Alice Springs … and UFOs.
UFO sightings are so common, that if you stayed up all night looking, you would be considered unlucky not to see anything, rather than lucky to see something.
A binder containing descriptions and records of the sightings has been kept at the park since it opened, but the original was stolen and the current version only dates back to the 1990s. The walls of the restaurant are covered with newspaper clippings for those wishing more details.
Why Wycliffe Well? One reason might be because it’s location is completely flat and there’s no city lights to distort the 360-degree view of the nighttime sky. Another reason might be the Woomera Prohibited Area – a.k.a. Australia’s Area 51 or Area 52 – which is south of Wycliffe Well on the Stuart Highway. The 122,000 sq km (47,000 sq mile) weapons testing range – the world’s largest — has been in operation since … you guessed it …. World War II, for testing of secret aircraft and rocketry for the Royal Australian Air Force.
Are all of the UFO sightings actually secret RAAF aircraft? “Of course not!” say the people whose lives depend on UFO tourism, like Lou Farkus.
Sure the RAAF do flyovers from time to time, but once you seen their Jets going at Mach-1, There’s no comparison with the speed that these other things travel at. Sometimes the UFO’s travel so fast you’d literally blink to miss it. I’ve only heard of one case of someone seeing an Alien form, it was from an Aboriginal woman who said she saw a flashing object descend into the trees and then sighted three beings.
Whether they believe it’s UFOs or secret aircraft, everyone is puzzled by the sudden disappearance of bright unidentified objects in the Wycliffe Well night sky, especially when UFO sightings are on the rise elsewhere in the world. The RAAF doesn’t appear to be talking and neither are the aliens.
Columinst Cheryl Costa looks at the UFO sighting numbers for 2016.
I had a request from a magazine editor who contacted me last Friday. She was seeking the national UFO sighting numbers for 2016. Alas, I’ve been so focused on the release of our book, UFO Sightings Desk Reference, which focused on 2001-2015, that I hadn’t bothered to compile the 2016 numbers, nor my home state’s UFO sighting numbers.
Nationally, the UFO sighting trend is up 9.2 percent from 2015 but down from 2012, 2013, and 2014.
To be honest I really thought that 2012 and 2014 spikes were flukes. I felt that the UFO sighting trend was due for its six- to seven-year hump cycle and would be taking a downward trend (shown in red). Then the 2016 numbers were tallied, and the classic downward trend seems to be taking a more gradual slope (shown in green).
A third possibility is that 2010-2015 (shown in red) is the six year hump and 2016 is the first indication of the next upward cycle. The truth is we won’t know for sure until the 2017 UFO sighting numbers are tallied.
On the home front here in New York state, the numbers offered a unique surprise in terms of sighting totals. In 2016 the state’s UFO sightings of 414 had dropped 23.5 percent from 542 in 2015. The 414 statistic is clearly at a six-year low for New York state.
The other big surprise in New York state was a significant change in the monthly season pattern.
Typically northern states of similar latitude to New York state have a monthly pattern while the peak UFO sightings are in the warmer months of summer.
2016 was really strange! Note the unusually high number of sightings in January, February and March, despite the uncharacteristic downward trend. It’s been suggested that it was a warmer winter in the first quarter of 2016. Perhaps it was something else. Perhaps there was a disturbance in the force or a glitch in the matrix. After all, the Chicago Cubs won the series. Who knows?

A Louisiana witness at Lafayette County reported watching two, disc-shaped objects with binoculars that disappeared into a dark cloud, according to testimony in Case 84059 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness was outside looking at clouds at 5 p.m. on May 27, 2017, at a 45-degree angle to the north using binoculars.

“And as soon as I got the focus, there they were – two UFOs,” the witness stated. “One on top the other and in close proximity to each other. The one underneath the other was moving left to right from side-to-side in a straight pattern, while the other one hovered above it.”
The witness had a feeling the objects were trying to communicate.
“I kind of got the feeling the bottom one was using the craft to wave at me, as to say, ‘Hey, here we are!’ As it was moving side-to-side as in someone would move their hand to wave.”

The witness described the objects.
“These were both saucer-shaped and were a black or dark gray color and both had lights in the front that pulsated back and forth like the Knight Rider car, but only much slower. The color of the lights from my perspective was red on the left, blue in the middle and either yellow or white on the right. I couldn’t make out the size because I couldn’t see them with the naked eye, only through the binoculars. I was using a Redfield brand that was 10 x 50. But they were clear as day to see the shape, color and what they were doing.”
Watch the animated video the witness produced to depict the sighting.
The witness put the binoculars down to see if he could see them with his eyes, but they were too far away.

“But as soon as I looked back in the binoculars, I could see them again. I was hoping to get video footage, as I kept watching for about 30 seconds, a dark cloud was moving toward that area where they were. That’s when I told my wife to go inside and hurry to grab my phone. I was going to try and film it through the binoculars, but by the time the dark cloud got to where they were, I couldn’t see them anymore. The cloud seemed to stay there for a while, which I found strange and maybe even thought something was behind the cloud like a mother ship using a cloud cloaking device, because after it finally cleared up in that area, I couldn’t see the other craft again. I stayed out all that day and hooked up my phone to record through the binoculars, but didn’t see them again.”
Lafayette County is a parish in Louisiana, population 221,578. Louisiana MUFON is investigating. Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

UFO Hunter films UFO flying towards the moon at high speed
On June 6, 2017 at 11.31 pm Limee Watcher from U.K. films the moon from his back garden when he notices an unknown object flying towards the moon at incredible speed before it disappears behind the moon.
He wonders whether it a celestial object, space junk or, if watching the angle when the object comes in towards the moon, a UFO.
UFO hunter Limee Watcher: “I thought I slow down it just to see what this object is, well I am stumped.”
The Kill-Shot will be triggered by a Super Solar Flare or a Nuclear EMP attack?
The Kill-Shot will be triggered by a Super Solar Flare or a Nuclear EMP attack?
Analysts who have researched the affects of a powerful earth-directed Solar Flare believe that a direct hit by an extreme CME could cause widespread power blackouts, disabling everything that plugs into a wall socket. Most people wouldn't even be able to flush their toilet because urban water supplies largely rely on electric pumps.
It has happened before and soon or later it will happen again. In 2016 Major Ed Dames has warned us already for the impending “kill-shot” which will pose a direct threat to all forms of high-technology.
It begins with an explosion--a "solar flare"—in the magnetic canopy of a sunspot.
X-rays and extreme UV radiation reach Earth at light speed, ionizing the upper layers of our atmosphere; side-effects of this "solar EMP" include radio blackouts and GPS navigation errors.
Minutes to hours later, the energetic particles arrive. Moving only slightly slower than light itself, electrons and protons accelerated by the blast can electrify satellites and damage their electronics.
Then come the CMEs, billion-ton clouds of magnetized plasma that take a day or more to cross the Sun-Earth divide.
Remember the solar storm of 1859, the March 1989 geomagnetic storm and the Solar Superstorm of July 2012 that just missed the Earth!
Solar storm of 1859.
The Solar storm of 1859—known as the Carrington Event was a powerful geomagnetic solar storm during solar cycle 10 (1855–1867). A solar coronal mass ejection hit Earth's magnetosphere and induced one of the largest geomagnetic storms on record, September 1–2, 1859. The associated "white light flare" in the solar photosphere was observed and recorded by English astronomers Richard C. Carrington (1826–1875) and Richard Hodgson (1804–1872).
Studies have shown that a solar storm of this magnitude occurring today would likely cause more widespread problems for a modern and technology-dependent society.
The solar storm of 2012 was of similar magnitude, but it passed Earth's orbit without striking the planet. March 1989 geomagnetic storm.
A severe geomagnetic storm struck Earth on March 13, 1989.
It occurred during solar cycle 22 and caused a nine-hour outage of Hydro-Québec's electricity transmission system.
The geomagnetic storm causing this event was itself the result of a coronal mass ejection on March 9, 1989. A few days before, on March 6, a very large X15-class solar flare also occurred.
Three and a half days later, at 2 44 am EST on March 13, a severe geomagnetic storm struck Earth. The storm began on Earth with extremely intense auroras at the poles. The aurora could be seen as far south as Texas and Florida.
The Halloween solar storms were a series of solar flares and coronal mass ejections that occurred from mid-October to early November 2003, peaking around October 28–29. ... One of the solar storms was compared by some scientists in its intensity to the Carrington Event of 1859.
The Solar Superstorm of July 2012.
Carrington-class CME Narrowly Misses Earth. The solar storm of 2012 was an unusually large and strong coronal mass ejection (CME) event that occurred on July 23 that year. It missed the Earth with a margin of approximately nine days, as the Sun rotates around its own axis with a period of about 25 days.
The region that produced the outburst was thus not pointed directly towards the Earth at that time. The strength of the eruption was comparable to the 1859 Carrington event that caused damage to electric equipment worldwide, which at that time consisted mostly of telegraph stations.
And if it is not a Solar Flare than it is quite possible that the danger of a “kill-shot” will come of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) generated by the detonation of a high-altitude nuclear weapon.
This is not mere theory!
In 1962 the United States detonated a 1.4-megaton nuclear warhead over the South Pacific, 900 miles southwest of Hawaii. Designated “Starfish Prime,” the blast destroyed hundreds of street lights in Honolulu, caused electrical surges on airplanes in the area, and damaged at least six satellites..
A North Korean EMP attack on the U.S or other countries may be far-fetched?
No! North Korea could make an EMP attack against the United States by launching a short-range missile off a freighter or submarine or by lofting a warhead to 30 kilometers burst height by balloon,” wrote Mr. Graham earlier this month on the security blog 38 North. Learn more: Zerohedge.com
Even a balloon-lofted warhead detonated at 30 kilometers altitude could blackout the Eastern Grid that supports most of the population and generates 75 percent of US electricity. Moreover, an EMP attack could be made by a North Korean satellite. Two North Korean satellites currently orbit the earth on trajectories that take them over the U.S.
Was it a dry run for an EMP attack?
Yesterday, June 11, 2017 a massive blackout occurred in Seoul's Southwestern Areas, Satellite Cities reports Yonhapnews.co.kr.
A power substation malfunctioned Sunday, causing a massive blackout in some southwestern districts in Seoul and regions just south of the capital, South Korea's state-run electricity monopoly said.
Yeongseo Substation, located in Gwangmyeong, near Seoul, suffered a partial breakdown around 12:53 p.m. causing a disruption in the electrical power supply, according to the Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) and the city government.
An investigation team is still under way to determine the exact cause of black out.
Britain’s UFO files to be RELEASED confirms Government: ‘These are the REAL-life X-Files’
Britain’s UFO files to be RELEASED confirms Government: ‘These are the REAL-life X-Files’
BRITAIN’S top secret UFO files are set to be released within months shedding lighting on alien encounters across the UK, the government have confirmed.
The government has confirmed classified documents detailing evidence of UFO sightings and abductions contain nearly 50 years of information about alien experiences.
Spooks have kept the files under wraps for the past five decades – but now UFO hunters are rejoicing as the files are on the verge of release.
The National Archives have confirmed the UFO document dubbed the “real life X-files” will be released after the General Election on June 8.
It will contain information relating the the Rendlesham Forest incident – Britain’s most infamous UFO encounter – which has been likened to the UK”s Roswell.
Military men at the twin bases of RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk experienced “alien” activity over a number of nights and encountered a “triangle shaped craft” in the woods
NATIONAL ARCHIVES: The UFO files have been under lock and key for 50 years
Conspiracy theorists have claimed the delays in releasing the files have been a cover-up – but archivists have been unable to publish them due to the election.
Documents were meant to be released in 2013, but a number of the files were withheld for release in March.
But their release has been delayed again due to Prime Minister Theresa May calling an election.
While UFO hunters are waiting with baited breath for the files, experts have downplayed their release.
Nick Pope, an expert who worked as the Ministry of Defence’s UFO investigator for 15 years, said: “There’s no smoking gun in these files that will confirm the existence of aliens, but there are plenty of fascinating UFO reports and MoD policy documents, so these really are the real-life X-Files.”
He told the Mail: “The delay has been a comedy of errors though, I think it’s more bureaucracy than conspiracy.”
A spokesman for the National Archives told UFO news website Grenzwissenschaft-aktuell: “Due to the upcoming election here in the UK and the rules relating to the government departments during the pre-election period, the files will not be released until after the election.”
Scientists have never proved the existence of alien-life – but remain hopeful with new discoveries such as Earth-like planet Proxima B.

ET'S NEW HOME?- Bizarre UFO pictured in broad daylight in skies above Co Leitrim as expert explains why area has become sighting hotspot
It's another unusual sighting in an area which is fast becoming known for UFO activity
By Aoife Finneran
THE truth is out there – in the skies above Leitrim.
An eagle-eyed observer captured this eerie snap of an unidentified flying object above their home on May 7.
This unidentified flying object was spotted in the skies above Leitrim
And before you dismiss it as a picture of the moon at night – the image was taken in broad daylight.
The bizarre sighting has now been recorded by Filer’s Research Institute, the US-based National UFO Center.
The unnamed witness described seeing “the small glow above my garden” before quickly reaching for a camera.
They added: “There was no movement or sound. I turned to call my wife and it was gone at 2:15 PM. It was very weird and a tad spooked in truth.
“The purple haze was not there or visible to the eye. I’m confused in truth.”
So have aliens heard about the beauty of lovely Leitrim and its rock-bottom house prices or is it simply a trick of the light?
Whatever the explanation, it’s yet another unusual sighting in an area which has become known as a hotspot for suspected paranormal activity.
Sceptics may dismiss it as a hobby for the tinfoil hat brigade, but the north-west of the country is the focus of major scientific research thanks to astronomer Eamonn Ansbro of Kingsland Observatory in Boyle, Co Roscommon.
He believes the latest sighting in Leitrim could be a plasma ball, which has previously been seen in parts of Boyle.

Experts believe the latest sighting in Co Leitrim could be a plasma ball
He explained: “There’s a similar ball of light that has been seen in a place called Hessdalen in Norway.

“It appears to be a new form of light in physics that we don’t know about yet, so we’re putting the physics to it to see what it’s about.”
Mr Ansbro has already investigated more than 130 sightings around Ireland, many of which he believes can be explained by the presence of orbital tracks around the earth.
NEWS GROUP NEWSPAPERS LTD
Eamonn Ansbro believes the presence of orbital tracks around the earth explains why so many sightings are witnessed in Limerick
And he says that Lough Key in Boyle is one of the points where these tracks intersect, which could explain the unusually high level of unexplained sightings in the area.
He and his research colleagues even managed to work out a pattern of possible cycles of activity at these intersections, and correctly predicted one such sighting.
The strange occurrences have even baffled the most sceptical people in the area, as he recalled: “We received a report six weeks ago from a guy in Boyle who was driving on the N4 towards Sligo.
“He saw two balls of light about 50 metres in front of him, roughly the size of the moon at that distance, so a few inches across.
“They were there for 30 seconds, then they winked out, and he saw them again to his right.
“He reported this to me, and said that while he was completely sceptical, he had gone through all the options and couldn’t find an explanation for it.”
