“Francis Crick, the discoverer of DNA, and winner of the Nobel Prize although an atheist published a book which subscribed to the theory of intelligent design, that our universe was not simply the result of a series of chemical accidents.
He states, “Life did not evolve first on Earth, a highly advanced civilization became threatened so they devised a way to pass on their existence. They genetically-modified their DNA and sent it out from their planeton bacteria or meteorites with the hope that it would collide with another planet. It did, and that’s why we’re here.”
Our DNA was encoded with messages from that other civilization. They programmed the molecules so that when we reached a certain level of intelligence, we would be able to access their information, and they could therefore “teach” us about ourselves, and how to progress.

Missouri MUFON Has Equipped a Level 1 Lab
Missouri MUFON has equipped a Level 1 Lab to assist MUFON International with preliminary trace level case evidence, thus saving MUFON International the cost of analyzing trace evidence that may be able to be identified within our organization. We have acquired a Forensic Comparison Microscope capable of comparing metal samples with reference samples to determine type and alloy using the grain pattern size. The Lab is in need of sample alloys to complete this process.
Here is a list of the aluminum alloys needed to produce reference samples for the Lab along with other things we can use. We are starting with aluminum alloys as they are the ones most used in aerospace applications. We will also need alloys and pure stock of other metal types. These are going to be made into reference samples so I need the alloy number or indication they are pure stock when received. The reference samples are needed to compare case metals against when field samples come in. There are several places that make reference samples but due to the cost (400 to 500 dollars) per ten we will have to make our own. If anyone has access to already made reference samples that they would donate we will of course be glad to have them. Other things that are needed at present are: a small acid cabinet and supplies such as are needed to sterilize soils in my kiln (crucibles of various sizes, large filters).
This Level 1 trace evidence lab is open to all States and Canada for use. Any sample found with an “unknown” or sample the lab is not equipped to analyze, will be immediately forwarded to MUFON International for high level testing. The alloy numbers on the Aluminum are attached to this e-mail. The best for this use would be aluminum pieces no thinner than 1/2 inch but we would take this in any shape and can cut small pieces off any rod , bar, sheet etc. as long as the alloy number is known.

Earthquakes Likely With Sun Moon Eclipse
Mitch Battros Recent studies reveal accelerated tectonic movement involving fluid distribution of super-heated rock (magma) in worldwide ‘hotspots’, also known as mantle plumes.
A mantle plume exists along the Mediterranean Sea, particularly along the length of Italy and in many of the islands in the southeastern Tyrrhenian Sea. The eclipse on August 21 may trigger earthquakes.
The same gravitational force that creates high tides when the moon and sun align may also play a role in triggering major earthquakes, according to a study released Monday.
Better understanding of this mechanism could help predict when known faults are more likely to produce killer quakes, the researchers said.
“Large earthquakes are more probable during periods of high tidal stress,” the scientists concluded in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Geosciences. When the tug of gravity is strongest, they added, “the probability of a tiny rock failure expanding to a gigantic rupture increases.” For centuries after the discovery that solar and lunar forces affect the ocean tides, scientists speculated whether they also cause Earth’s crust to buckle and fracture.
But only recently has statistical research started to establish a firm link between planetary alignments and temblors. Satoshi Ide, a professor at the University of Tokyo, and his colleagues zeroed in on large earthquakes — magnitude 5.5 or greater — around the world over the last two decades. His team reconstructed the strength of gravitational pull, known as “tidal stress,” in the two weeks prior to each tremor.
Many of the largest earthquakes occurred during periods when the pull of the moon and sun were particularly forceful.
These included the Dec. 26, 2004, quake in Sumatra, which ravaged a large swath of the island and delivered deadly tsunami toward South and Southeast Asia. Some 220,000 people died.
The same link held for two other mega-quakes, the 2010 temblor near Maule, Chile, and the magnitude-9.0 quake on March 11, 2011, off the Tohoku region that claimed about 19,000 lives and crippled the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. Exactly how strong earthquakes start and evolve is still poorly understood.
One theory suggests that all quakes begin with a tiny fracture and grow, in a cascading process, into large-scale ruptures. If this is true, then the new study suggests that the likelihood of this happening increases during the spring tide, the period just after a new or full moon. The findings “can be used to improve probabilistic earthquake forecasting, especially for extremely large earthquakes,” the study said. https://www.japantimes.co.
The US Space Corps Would Be a “Combat-Ready Space Force”
The full House is now set to consider the bill that proposes a US Space Corps. The mission: Send combat forces into space to save the world from potential Star Wars. A Congressional committee is proposing that the US armed forces add a new military branch that would, quite literally, send soldiers out of this world.
The crew of real-life Buzz Light-years is described in the National Defense Authorization Act, which is now headed to the full House for a vote.
There isn’t usually anything extraordinary about the NDAA, which every year lays out military spending.
But this time, the House Armed Services Committee voted 60 to 1 in favor of a bill that would, among many other things, create the first new branch of the armed forces since the Air Force’s founding in 1947.
Among the Space Corps’ official duties, as established in the bill, would be “providing combat-ready space forces that enable the commanders of the combatant commands to fight and win wars.”
Space Corps would fall under the Air Force in the same way the Marine Corps does the Navy. The chief of staff of the Space Corps, a presidential appointee with a six-year term, would be on equal footing with the Air Force’s chief of staff. Both would report to the Secretary of the Air Force.
So far, there’s just one main problem with the proposal: Neither the Air Force’s secretary nor its chief of staff are thrilled with separating America’s own “Guardians of the Galaxy” from the rest of the armed forces.
“I’ve been shocked by the response by the Air Force leadership,” Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Alabama, said during a June 22 committee hearing. The congressman chairs the subcommittee that wrote the Space Corps into the legislation.
Senior Air Force officials see the proposed corps as an unnecessary change in the force’s existing space efforts. (The Space Corps wouldn’t exactly be boldly going where no man has gone before. The Air Force Space Command has been working toward that since 1982.)
“This will make it more complex, add more boxes to the organizational chart, and cost more money,” Secretary Heather Wilson told reporters June 21. There are still plenty more congressional hoops for the Space Corps to jump through before it would become official. But, hey, at least the name sounds cool.

Thank you for the space ship images: once again they show that you are an excellent photographer. There are of course many satellites in orbit, which look very different and appear much smaller. This space ship looks much larger than even the space shuttle and may be armed.
These space ships are readily seen by astro-photographers like John all over the world.
You should just enjoy the excellence of your images, and make them available as widely as is possible, through the public web-sites, magazines, etc, so you can get the credit you deserve for your skills.

Several UFOs were spotted during the flooding and dozens of tornadoes were reported in August throughout the Midwest. An average of 60 people are killed each year by tornadoes. Another 200 are drowned by flooding with about 50 people dying each year from lightning. The damage from cumulonimbus clouds (CBs) can run into the billions of dollars to buildings and homes.
The National Severe Storms Laboratory NSSL Site Information – NOAA’s reports, “The most destructive and deadly tornadoes occur from super cells, which are rotating thunderstorms with a well-defined radar circulation called a mesocyclone. (Super cells can also produce damaging hail, severe non-tornado winds, unusually frequent lightning, and flash floods.) Tornado formation is believed to be dictated mainly by things which happen on the storm scale, in and around the mesocyclone.”
When I was in Vietnam in 1968, the Air Force extended the Monsoon season by over a month by cloud-seeding with silver iodide crystals using two C-130s and two F-4s on the Ho Chi Minh trail. I encourage the Air Force to use weather controlling tactics to protect American lives and property.
I suggest tornadoes can be tamed and potential flooding storms should be spread out. For example, the Chinese, in August of 2008, used 37,000 people to seed clouds aiming for a dry Olympics. Hundreds of teams used anti-aircraft guns to shoot shells of silver iodide into approaching cloud masses and kept Beijing dry.
The most common chemicals used for cloud seeding include silver iodide, potassium iodide and dry ice (solid carbon dioxide). Liquid propane, which expands into a gas, has also been used. This can produce ice crystals at higher temperatures than silver iodide. After promising research, the use of hygroscopic materials, such as table salt, is becoming more popular.
Surplus Harvard T-6 single engine aircraft were fitted with racks under each wing containing 32 railroad fuses that were impregnated with silver iodide were ignited individually or all at once, depending upon the threat. In coordination with ground units, the aircraft would lay a plume of silver iodide in front of approaching cumulonimbus clouds (CBs) with noticeable effect. Large, active Cumulonimbus clouds CBs which cause most of the damage were reduced to nothing. Heavy hail storms were also reduced in intensity.
A C-5 Galaxy aircraft can carry a standard: payload of 240,000 pounds of dry ice or chemicals that could seriously effect a mesocyclone. Maximum payload capacity of the C-17 is 170,900 pounds with a service ceiling of 45,000 feet. Even drones could be used to tame dangerous clouds. Air Weather Service is headquartered at Scott AFB, IL, where I briefed the commander on a regular basis. AWS was restructured as a field operating agency during the reorganization of the former Military Airlift Command now called Air Mobility Command.
Below is radar readout of a typical tornado. The actual tornado early in its track is located in the southern reddest hook near the bottom of the image. Craft inserting cloud seeding chemicals would likely stop the tornado formation.
Recent theories and results from the VORTEX 2 program suggest that once a mesocyclone is underway, tornado development is related to the temperature differences across the edge of downdraft air wrapping around the mesocyclone. Storm spotters look for low bands of ragged bands of low cumulus clouds extending from the main storm tower usually to the southeast or south. The presence of inflow bands suggests that the storm is gathering low-level air from several miles away. If the inflow bands have a spiraling nature to them, it suggests the presence of rotation and the forming of the tornado.
The beaver’s tail is a smooth, flat cloud band extending from the eastern edge of the rain-free base to the east or northeast. It usually skirts around the southern edge of the precipitation area. It also suggests the presence of rotation. (Possible attack point)
A wall cloud is an isolated cloud lowering attached to the rain-free base of the thunderstorm. The wall cloud is usually to the rear of the visible precipitation area. A wall cloud that may produce a tornado usually exists for 10–20 minutes before a tornado appears. A wall cloud may also persistently rotate (often visibly), have strong surface winds flowing into it, and may have rapid vertical motion indicated by small cloud elements quickly rising into the rain-free base. As the storm intensifies, the updraft draws in low-level air from several miles around. Some low-level air is pulled into the updraft from the rain area. This rain-cooled air is very humid; the moisture in the rain-cooled air quickly condenses below the rain-free base to form the wall cloud. (Possible attack point)
The rear flank downdraft (RFD) is a downward rush of air on the back side of the storm that descends along with the tornado. The RFD looks like a “clear slot” or “bright slot” just to the rear (southwest) of the wall cloud. It can also look like curtains of rain wrapping around the cloud base circulation. The RFD causes gusty surface winds that occasionally have embedded downbursts. The rear flank downdraft is the motion in the storm that causes the hook echo feature on radar. (Possible attack point)
A condensation funnel is made up of water droplets and extends downward from the base of the thunderstorm. If it is in contact with the ground it is a tornado; otherwise it is a funnel cloud. Dust and debris beneath the condensation funnel confirm a tornado’s presence. (Possible attack point)

NSSL is working to simulate storms that produce tornadoes in computer models to better understand how they form and behave. The Air Force could gain tremendous support from the American people if they could calm the tornadoes, lightning, and flooding deaths. Thanks to NSSL.
Underwater Airport
UFO Sightings Daily’s Scott C. Waring believes this alien base is connected to all the UFO sightings coming out of Mexico and the entire Central America. This base is huge and it’s no wonder why we hear about so many UFO sightings over Mexico,” he writes. “This base is just 45 miles away from the Mexican coast. The chances of this being an intelligently-made structure I put that at 100 percent.”
It’s interesting to note the similarity between the structure’s arrangement and that of an airport’s landing strips when viewed from above. However, the sheer size of the tubular structures that make up the underwater network means they must have served a different purpose. It is unfortunate that we might never know what that purpose was, but unless the scientific community decides to investigate the matter in a thorough, transparent way, we’ll remain clueless. NASA Photos from Mars
Frank Jacobs has found some astounding images of Mars that indicate precision cuts on stone of ancient archeological ruins.
This image appears to show some type of truck or vehicle carrier. If it represents stone it is obvious the stone has been cut in the past similar to that found on Earth in the building of the pyramids at Giza, Egypt. Speculation suggests Martians left Mars and came to Earth.
Mars image found by Frank Jacobs shows Mars from space taken by the Hubble telescope. It appears to show clouds or at least strong winds blowing up dust. The pictures indicate some kind of atmosphere.
Not usually known is that temperatures around the Mars equator in the summer months reach 90 degrees.
Life apparently existed on Mars and the archeological remains are available for all to see who wish to take the time to investigate the images.

The giant stone heads of the Olmecs found in La Venta, Tres Zpotes and other sites in Mexico can be classed as artifacts of a similar type. These colossal heads carved of black basalt are from 1.5 to 3 meters high (5-10 feet), weighing from 5 to 40 tons. They are placed on stone stands like similar large globes also found in the area. The globes would be easier to role and later carved into heads.
The nearest basalt quarries are 50 to 100 kilometers (31-62 miles) away. How could a people without a wheeled vehicle or pack animal bring the masses of rock across swamps and jungles to the erection sites?

The Strange Spheres of Costa Rica
Another strange discovery was made in Costa Rica, also in the fifties. Hundreds of perfectly shaped spheres made of volcanic rock were scattered in the jungle. Similar spheres have been located in Guatemala and Mexico but nowhere else in the world. A number of questions have been raised with the discovery of these balls. What ancient race could have carved and polished them so perfectly and what was the purpose of them? Or are they natural geological formations as some scientist believe? Some rest on stone platforms, others are arranged in clusters, then again others in geometrical patterns forming triangles, squares or circles. Do they have astronomical significance in the manner of the Stonehenge megaliths?
The Coming of Tan
Dr Bruce Cornet writes, “Riley Martin published a book in 1995 by Historicity Productions about his childhood abduction experiences at age seven and older.” Riley was born on 9 May 1946. When I met him in 1995 he came across as very intelligent and artistic. One could therefore dismiss what he says in 369 page book as the product of imagination. Yet he goes into so much detail about abduction experience and the types of aliens he met, that one has to wonder where he got all his information, since he only has his GED. What he reveals in his book is extraordinary, unlike anything you will find in other accounts by abductees and contactees. If true, he not only remembered everything he saw and learned aboard an enormous mothership that orbits Saturn, which is 40 KM across. Two major alien races divide up this mothership: The Batavians and the Targzissians.
The Biavians look very human like but with distinct differences. The Targzissians closely resemble what anthropologists have identified in ancient civilizations as the Reptilians or Naggas. I attach five pages from his book on the Targ Terror – May 1988. Few others have had such contact with this reptilian race as Martin has had. The Big Lie
New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D’Souza is out with a new book aimed at exposing what he calls “The Big Lie” of the progressive Left. 3 to 5 million Democrats in 1930 were in the KKK
“Ever since Trump, the Left has been accusing him of being a fascist; the Republican Party is the party of Neo-Nazis — all of this is based on the assumption that fascism is on the Right, (that) it’s a ring-wing thing,” D’Souza told CBN News. “What I do in the book is kind of a deep history of fascism and National Socialism. I show, “These have always been on the Left.'”
He makes the claim that Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger inspired Nazi racial theorists. “Margaret Sanger was part of a community in the United States and they were the community of eugenics. Eugenics means you sort of encourage the people you think are fit or successful to have children, and you try to prevent the people you consider to be inferior from breeding at all,” explained D’Souza. Planned Parenthood even now aborts some 500,000 babies a year.
“So Margaret Sanger supported forced sterilization, and these forced sterilization laws that were promoted in the United States were copied by the Nationalist Socialist Party (Nazis) in 1933 for the notorious Nazi-forced sterilization program,” he continued.
“And similarly American progressives were advocating what one guy called lethal chambers to kill off people. And the Nazis again established a euthanasia program using lethal chambers and carbon monoxide gas,” he said.
“If you go to the college campuses you see these groups called Antifa. The name actually stands for anti-fascist, and yet if you look at them they’re wearing costumes; they wear masks; they carry bike locks and baseballs bats as weapons,” D’Souza told CBN.
“They intimidate. They terrorize. They use violence yet they’re doing it supposedly to fight fascism — except they look like the fascists, they talk like the fascists and they behave like the fascists.”
D’Souza told CBN News that he was inspired to write this book at this particular time in history because he considers his work the intellectual equivalent of investigative reporting. “I find that there’s fake news and there’s fake scholarship,” he charged. “Fake scholarship is the way in which progressive scholars distort the narrative of American history to serve their political agenda. Part of my work is unmasking and exposing them.” “It’s a big lie, and that’s the title of the book. When Hitler spoke of the big lie he said small lies can be caught, but sometimes lies are so audacious and so big that you can’t get your head around them so it’s kind of easier to sell a big lie than a small lie and that’s what the Left is doing in America right now,” he said.
The Washington Times reports, a majority of Americans – 51 percent – now disapprove of the news media’s treatment of President Trump, a sentiment shared by 77 percent of Republicans and even 26 percent of Democrats.

Tolleson — I was sitting in my backyard having a cigarette and there was a full moon out so I thought I would take a picture of it on August 7, 2017.
When I went to send it I looked at it this was there. So i took several photos some had this and some didn’t. This happened 2 nights in a row. Do you have any clue what this might be. Thanks to MUFON CMS
California Object
Stockton– I was taking photos of the full moon when I noticed a black object flying above the moon and into my shot on August 6, 2017. It made no sound and had no lights. It flew from left to right, then down, then hovered, then back to the left.
When I got home and dumped photos to computer I noticed that there were actually 3 objects in the photos and sometimes 2.
They were flying saucer shaped. I kept shooting but the objects were no longer visible. They just vanished. –

Durango— On August 5, 2017, departed on the Durango to Silverton Train at about 9:00 am. As the train was traveling I was taking numerous photos of the breathtaking scenery until we reached Silverton. Later that evening at the motel I downloaded the photos and noticed in one photo that it had some kind of an object in the background. I then zoomed the photo in and noticed it was some type of an object above one of the mountains. I was very surprised and to me it looked like a UFO. About a little before 7:00 pm, I went outside of my house so I could take some photos of the super moon on November 13, 2016. I had my iPhone camera on and I faced towards the east at the moon. Almost immediately I noticed an extra “spot” of light in the photo next to the moon. I raised my phone again and looked through the lens and saw the spot of light, but when I lowered the camera I didn’t see the “spot” by the moon. I checked one of the photos then by zooming it out and noticed something that looked like a blue ball next to the moon like. I thought it was funny, because it looked as if the moon had a little planet next to it! I cleaned both phone lenses with an alcohol wipe and looked through the lens and saw the same “light spot.” My son tells me maybe the orb/sphere in my photos is “lens flare.” Later O took more pictures and noticed the sphere would be in different places in relation to the moon. There are 17 total photos and the orb appears clearly in 11 of them and in the rest I just see some colorful streaks or smudges. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kirkland –, I saw the same thing only it was higher up and on a crystal clear day with a bright blue sky. I was in near Seattle at my nephew’s house. I recorded it in two different sittings and I observed it for a good 10 minutes before it disappeared. I have pictures and videos. I forgot to mention that I spotted it on Tuesday, On July 18, 2017, at 5:27 PM PDT.
Witness and his nephew were outside and saw the object. The witness then grabbed his cell phone and shot 3 videos and a photo. He is familiar with drones and all concur that the object was not a drone. The witness also stated that one his video clips show the object making a sudden movement downward and to the left. A view of the footage and slowed speed does show that the object may have moved.
Note:The witness is referring to the sighting of a bright object hovering over Seattle, WA on April 24, 2017. The object is quite likely not the planet Venus. Venus was only 8 degrees above the horizon at the time of the sighting. Also the object disappeared in 10 minutes. It was not a weather balloon or a high altitude balloon because these balloons generally are suspended at a constant height and are generally airborne for several hours. Prince Edward County — On August 1, 2017, while on vacation in the in southern Ontario I was fishing in a river near the Sandbanks Provincial Park at exactly 8:41 pm. something caught on my eye.
It was miles away moving quite fast of a very bright and I managed to get one picture as I lost sight of it over the tree line. This sighting lasted only twenty to thirty seconds. Minutes later I noticed a military jet buzzing about that maybe related? Later on August 2, 2017 while on the beach the military jet did a fly by and I took some pictures. Korcula— I was on my vacation on Korkyra Island and like every morning I take a ride to the town to get coffee. I saw a beautiful sunrise above the old town on August 8, 2017, so I stop the car and take a photo with my iPhone. It has live photo and makes two pics in one second. In my iPhone I’m able to click to each photo and then a have a few frames to see before the final photo is shown (like a mini video, a cool feature). After few days I wanted to post some photos on Facebook and noticed something strange. I’ve had two pics, one is normal and on the other pops up some flying object from nowhere. The photos were taken just outside the town of Korcula, with a nice view to the Monastery of St. Nikola. It is very clear that ufo on second photo appears out of nowhere. When I realize that maybe I have something I went to my husband to show the photos. He is an amateur but passionate photographer and he was astonished. After closer examination he concluded it’s definitely it is a real flying object. When you use the iPhone feature you can see the movement of the bird in the beam of light in the position above the object so you can actually see the quick time that passed from the moment the 2 photos were taken and also clearly the moment of the appearance of the ufo. It seems to be a small spaceship 3 or 4 meters. If you look at other elements on the photos and compare it the ufo you will see that the bright and dark regions are just perfectly fitting, reflecting the sun correctly since it seems that the ufo is flying at a small angle and little descending, too. The strong light reflecting from the back side must be from some highly reflective material

Lihula — I was in my work place which is a cow farm in a small village on August 12, 2017. I had just gotten there and it was very beautiful sunset so I took out my phone and decided to take some photos but after I had taken the photo I noticed something. There was this weird light in the sky. First I thought it was just a sunlight reflecting on the cloud but it didn’t look like a cloud and it also wasn’t moving. So I just stood there trying to figure out what it is. After some minutes the clouds started covering it and I took quickly one more photo. Finally I could not see it anymore and so I just left. Disley — We were visiting Lyme Park on August 13, 2017. It was a sunny day with only some high cirrus-clouds at the time. We sat down in the garden to look at the estate and took some pictures. After lying down in the grass I saw a plane flying by at high and behind it I saw a bright star. This was odd, because it was 3:45 PM and neither moon nor stars were visible.
The star changed brightness perhaps it was a satellite or the ISS. After a few minutes some cirrus clouds past in front of it and although the ‘star’ was a bit less visible, you could still see it changing in brightness. I tried to focus on it -after the clouds were gone- with my camera 200 mm lens and took a photograph. I took a second photograph and at zooming in I saw that it had a shape. Montevideo — I’m a spotter, I take pictures with airplanes, and it’s a hobby. I heard a plane; it was a C-130 of the Uruguayan Air Force, clearly a military airplane. I run to get my camera and I take two pictures. When I finish taking the photos, I look directly at the plane and see those objects that also appear in the attached images, I thought of dirt, file with errors, birds, flight in formation among other possibilities. The vast majority of UFOs that aren't lens flares or natural objects are probably drones or some form of advanced government technology. Think about it – over 60 years ago our government built the atomic bomb in an underground city (the Manhattan Project) – God knows what insidious teleporting and nanotechnology they're up to now!
There is a tiny percentage of UFO cases that have no rational explanation. These UFOs could actually be of extraterrestrial origin, and some of the most interesting evidence comes in the form of old photos that were taken before the age of drones and Photoshop – when there really shouldn't have been anything up there flying around besides early planes, and when complex photo manipulation was next to impossible.

1. The Oldest UFO Photo Ever - Mt. Washington, New Hampshire 1870

This photograph depicts a cloud formation over the summit of Mt. Washington in the Winter of 1870 - 1871. The image is part of an antique stereoview that happens to contain an unexplained cigar-shaped object.
It is simultaneously the oldest and one of the best UFO sightings on record. Remember, there were no planes in the sky in 1870 and no digital manipulation.

2. TIENSTEN, HOPEH PROVINCE, CHINA - 1942

This World War II-era photo was discovered in an old Chinese scrapbook. It was taken by a sidewalk photographer, who snapped a picture of the strange object and then sold it. It shows a UFO in the sky above a Tsientsien Street and there appears to be at least one person pointing at it. (Source)
3. Farming UFO Photo, USA - 1920s

The only thing known about this picture is that it was taken somewhere in the United States in the early 1920s. The hilly terrain indicates that it could be on either the west or east coast, and is less likely in the central flat part of the country.
Wherever this is, the object up and to the right of the horse-drawn transport looks to be a flying object in the sky at a time when biplanes were rare and monoplanes didn't quite exist yet. (Source)

Taken at the Ward sawmill. The man in the picture (featured in the above link), who died a few years later, said there was a “terrible thunderous bellow” and then a large object rose up in the near distance and flew off. (Source)
5. Vancouver City Hall UFO - 1937
The story goes that 21-year-old soldier Leonard Lamoreux snapped this image in 1937 while visiting the brand new Vancouver City Hall.
Here's the full description:
"The two were suddenly astounded to see a 'bright bright blue light' drop straight down from the sky. It became larger as it did so and they were able to observe the source of the light as an object that Leonard described as 'two saucers' open ends facing each other, glowing bright blue. The object then moved 'dead straight' horizontally across the sky. When it just appeared to clear the flagpole on the roof of the City Hall it came to an almost dead stop and Leonard clicked the shutter on the camera. The object then shot straight back up into the sky. 'They never seen anything fly so fast!' This scared them to death and they ran from the scene. The object made no sound."
It's important to note that this photo has no negative in existence and the UFO could very well be a “watermark defect that appeared during the development of the print.” (Source | Photo)
6. ROSETTA/NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA - JULY, 1956

This photo is one of seven taken by meteorologist Elizabeth Klarer just before a thunderstorm. Its authenticity has been confirmed in a notarized affadavit and she stood by her story until she died in 1994 at the age of 83.
I'd be remiss not to add that Elizabeth also claimed she was impregnated during a later encounter with a spaceship pilot. (Source)
One of the classics. This image portrays searchlights and anti-craft shells converging on a UFO during what would later be called The Battle of Los Angeles. Though visually stunning, this image is almost certainly not evidence of extraterrestrials. Most analysts believe this was a combination of heightened tensions with the Japanese and a weather balloon.
But have you ever watched the Fox TV Series, Fringe? Maybe someone is observing our reactions to these kinds of spectacles, studying us in some kind of experiment....you never know.

A timelapse simulation from NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio (SVS) depicts seven days in 2005 when a category-4 typhoon developed off the coast of China.
The video is a timelapse simulation that depicts seven days in 2005 when a category-4 typhoon developed off the coast of China. The seven-day period is repeated several times during the course of the visualization.
Scientists used data from NASA’s Goddard Earth Observing System Model, Version 5 (GEOS-5), to depict the simulation’s volume-rendered clouds. This particular run of the simulation, called 7km GEOS-5 Nature Run (7km-G5NR), was executed on a supercomputer. This short visualization produced petabytes of output and referenced nearly a terabyte of brickmap files.
According to the SVS website, the goal of videos like the above is to provide the public with a clearer picture of our planet and our own place within it, as well as give people an idea of what NASA is all about: “The SVS works closely with scientists in the creation of visualizations, animations, and images in order to promote a greater understanding of Earth and space science research activities at Goddard Space Flight Center and within the NASA research community.”
Based on this video, I’d say that they seem to have gotten things right.

Observed several round, reflective spheres ascending in sky. Continued watching them assume a pattern as they moved slowly from my sight. Sunday March 19 2017, while instructing a martial arts class at Eastwood park, El Paso TX, I stopped to drink some water. As I threw my head back to swig from the water bottle I noticed a series of perhaps 6 bright reflective balls, ascending quickly in a row, but curving in a C shaped flight pattern while ascending. They were not floating like balloons but rising rapidly. That caught my attention for sure ! It was midday and I marveled at this sight. From my initial vantage point, it looked like this string of spheres had started low to the ground. Within seconds they had reached an altitude of approx. 3000 ft. I work in army aviation and am fairly confident of the alt. Several of the spheres shot straight up and out of sight the remainder seemed to float aimlessly into a pattern. That’s when I grabbed my iPad and took the video. I clearly filmed what I thought were 3 spheres which had formed a triangular pattern, but in the video I see one or two more . One of my students also witnessed this event, but not from the beginning, only after he saw me run for the iPad and start filming. We both agreed this was high strangeness. The event ended with the spheres gradually moving in an eastern direction out of sight , while still in a triangular pattern. One of the objects appeared to be more reflective than the others. I have ruled out reflective balloons based on the way they flew. And the wind direction seems to have been out of the NE that day. Not sure what these spheres were. I got the feeling they were under controlled flight.

Sightings of bizarre triangular-shaped UFOs are being reported day by day, leading to claims that aliens could be visiting the Earth in the mysterious crafts. Unidentified flying objects come in all sizes and shapes, from a flying saucer that looks like cartoons up to cigar-shaped space ships. Triangular-shaped objects are another common breed, with the more famous encounters occurring in the 1980s and 1990s. Accounts of silent and large triangular-shaped crafts are now being reported every week, with hundreds of videos, photos, and drawings resurfacing every single day.
riangular-shaped aliens have been spotted all over the world, with notable sightings documented in South Carolina, California, Maryland, Texas, Buenos Aires, Virginia, and the United Kingdom. A bus driver saw a strange video footage of three aircraft. According to the latter, the strange object seen in the footage appears to make any altering triangle formation in the skies above the Exmouth. In fact, it formed a triangular pattern wobbling slightly and rotating on its axis. Currently, the case was being examined by the UFO specialist and investigators on April 17. The witness firmly believed that the object was not normal. Though he was already interested with aliens and extraterrestrials before, this does not hinder his credibility as an eyewitness of a strange sighting. He admitted, however, that his camera had a hard time focusing on te formation due to the street lights. He moved closer to the river for a better view and was able to shot a footage which lasted for 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Afterward, he took seven photos and shot another 41-second video. He even shared his difficulty in going back to the bus and saw four people getting out of the car. He managed to point out the object to the people, but they seem not very interested.
Sightings of mysterious triangle spaceships do not appear to be the reason for any injury or harm.
Yes, I know … if it was truly ‘apocalyptic’, why are we here reading about it? That’s a good question – one of many we’ll try to answer as we look at a cloud that appeared over Brazil recently that looked pretty sinister to Brazilians and ‘apocalyptic’ to headline writers.
The mysterious cloud appeared on the evening of August 17th over Teixeira de Freitas, located at the southern in of the state of Bahia on Brazil’s Atlantic coast. It’s claim to fame until the possible apocalyptic sign has been its rapidly expanding array of large eucalyptus plantations which feed an expanding array of factories processing the plant for cellulose.
The primary witness to the eerie cloud was João Paulo Magalhães, who says he captured it on video at about 5 pm in the Santa Rita neighborhood of Teixeira de Freitas. He posted it on Facebook and gave this description:
“It really looked like the entrance to a meteorite or something. I was scared too, we thought it would form a tornado.”
“We” as in the other people who were with him at the petrol station where he saw the phenomenon. Magalhães was apparently not the only witness to record the cloud with his phone as other pictures soon appeared on the Internet. The reports with the photos said that the ominous-looking cloud dissipated after about five minutes — reducing fears and increasing speculations, especially with the full eclipse of the sun just four days away – even though it would not be seen in Brazil … no sense wasting a good opportunity to connect remote dots. That’s what many media outlets did with their “apocalyptic” headlines.

Cooler heads – i.e., meteorologists who have their heads in the clouds as part of their job – looked at the photos and proclaimed the phenomenon to be nothing more than a “dust cloud”
A dust cloud. Move along. Nothing apocalyptic to see here. Well, that’s a relief. Or is it? No one gave any explanation for what caused the “dust cloud.” Dust clouds are not normal meteorological events. As mentioned before, Teixeira de Freitas has a booming eucalyptus economy that is controversial because the non-native plant is a huge consumer of water yet is ironically a big fire hazard because eucalyptus oil is highly flammable. Was this ‘dust cloud’ the result of a fire or dry conditions that those possibly responsible (agribusiness and factories) wanted covered up?
The residents of Teixeira de Freitas should demand more answers about this “dust cloud.” Ignoring the impact of business on the ecology of Brazil is a true apocalypse.
An incredible 30 second video clip shows intriguing sky action that allegedly took place on August 18th, 2017 in the Phoenix, Arizona area. We’ve been working to track down the original posting location of the video but have not yet been able to. In this sighting you will see 5 crafts in the sky in a ‘W’ like formation. They then move around the sky and then the video abruptly ends. As a long time explorer and researcher of the UFO phenomenon let me be the first to say “I really want to see the end of this video.”
This is some of the most clear and intriguing footage I have seen, not to say there aren’t a lot of great videos out there, but more so that this video gives a clear example of the stunning sightings that have been taking place over the last 10 years in increased frequencies.
The first question that popped into my mind when I saw this video was “why hasn’t this been reported anywhere else?” Good question. When I looked around I wasn’t able to find any other videos or articles related to this sighting. But, this was also the case with another sighting we were sent back in April of 2017. It also took place in Phoenix and shortly after our article went out, more experiencers of the sighting reported on it. Soon the mainstream news reported on it, but claimed it was just a meteor breaking up and falling through the sky.

This is the thing with UFO sightings; many people see them and don’t record, report or tell anyone about them. I’ve seen a number of sightings in my life that came during CE-5 expeditions I used to do in my hometown years ago. We never brought cameras and thus never had media of it, yet we would often see between 8 and 10 crafts show up each time. We took the time to learn the difference between satellites, planes etc. so we could properly identify what we were seeing. Some of the most stunning sightings I’ve ever had were done during those expeditions, and yet none were recorded or published.

The Importance Of The UFO & ET Phenomenon
I’ve said this many times over and I will say it again: the UFO and ET phenomenon that is rising heavily into humanities focus over the last 10 years is one of the most important things taking place for us as a whole. Why? Because it represents an evolution humanity direly needs, and gratefully, is experiencing.
In 2011 I began exploring in incredible detail a shift that is taking place on our planet. My work in this shift started back in 2009 when I first learned something grand was taking place on this planet and that things were changing rapidly, but it went full force during the filming of the latest documentary I made called CE3: The Shift, which you can watch for free here.
I explored this shift taking place through a scientific, cosmic, ancient cultural and modern events lens to help prove that we are in fact witnessing something we have never experienced as modern humans on this planet. A big part of this shift relates to humanity opening itself up to a truth that has been hidden from us for decades, one that allows us to realize we are not alone in the universe and one that would change the way we live on our planet entirely. The latter is the reason as to why the UFO and ET phenomenon has been so aggressively covered up.
Imagine for a moment that you are back in the times when humans in what we now call Europe were not aware of humans in what we now call America. Life is being lived and there are sets of traditions, cultures, and ways of doing things that are set. One day, after a very long boat ride Europeans discover the civilizations in America. Suddenly there are a whole new set of humans with different traditions, cultures, and ways of doing things that can now be learned from. Perhaps it could be seen that knowledge for these civilizations has in essence been doubled. This results in changes, evolutions, expansions in ways of doing things and so forth. Now, from a human consciousness point of view it also came with war and fighting, but as explored in the film I made, this is a factor of a primitive level of consciousness, one that we are evolving beyond in our current times. Humans are now doing this exact same thing with ET’s. We have been playing amongst each other for thousands of years and we have learned immensely from one another. When we begin to interact with ET’s on a big level we are going to learn and open up to incredible new ideas, in the same way we will share ideas of states of consciousness with other beings. As humans, we often downplay ourselves and believe we are inferior to ET’s. This is of course a very mind and ego based view of ourselves, one that is often reinforced in our society, but it’s simply not true. ET’s do not view us in this manner, and unlike we have been told in many movies out there, ET’s are not an evil force waiting to come harvest or kill us. There are many races out there and virtually all are peaceful in nature.
It’s time to start opening up to them, clearing out our minds of fear and disbelief about a topic that is so abundant with evidence and begin to welcome a huge catalyst in an evolution within humanity that will help bring about peace on this planet.

In Phoenix in de Amerikaanse staat Arizona zouden afgelopen week onbekende objecten in de lucht zijn waargenomen. Er wordt gesproken van een massale UFO-waarneming.
In onderstaand filmpje zijn vijf objecten te zien die in formatie door de lucht vliegen. Joe Martino van Collective Evolution schrijft dat dit één van de duidelijkste en meest intrigerende UFO-filmpjes is die hij ooit heeft gezien.
In april werden er ook al UFO’s gesignaleerd in Arizona. Toen legde Mauricio Morales vreemde objecten vast terwijl hij onderweg naar Phoenix was.
Niet het geval
Een bericht dat hij op Facebook plaatste werd in korte tijd vele duizenden keren gedeeld. Uiteindelijk berichtten ook de media erover, maar zij claimden dat het ging om een meteoor.
“ABC15 meldt dat de foto’s een meteoor tonen. Dat is niet het geval,” reageerde Morales.
Martino merkt op dat veel mensen UFO’s zien, maar er geen melding van maken. Of ze zien een UFO en leggen het object niet vast op beeld.

Phoenix Lights
Op 13 maart 1997 werden in het luchtruim boven Phoenix in Arizona de zogeheten Phoenix Lights gezien, een reeks massaal gemelde UFO’s.
Het incident is één van de best gedocumenteerde UFO-meldingen. Er werden foto’s en video’s gemaakt en CNN deed er verslag van.
Niet van deze wereld
Meer dan 700 ooggetuigen beweerden dat ze toen driehoekige UFO’s hadden gezien met vijf bolvormige lampen of lichtgevende motoren.
Fife Symington, de toenmalige gouverneur van Arizona, was één van de ooggetuigen. Later beschreef hij de objecten als ‘niet van deze wereld’.
It’s just days before an eclipse of a lifetime and as the world readies for the sight and some for the energetic shifts, a new crop circle has appeared in a field at Sutton Hall near London Southend Airport. The circle was discovered on August 17, 2017 but it’s meaning, if any, is not yet fully understood. A crop circle with meaning you might ask? Yes, evidence has shown time and time again that many of these circles have incredible scientific anomalies and thus people believe the formations come from somewhere or something else.
On the scientific side, the electromagnetic field over the area where a circle appears is usually electrostatically charged. There is also a rare form of electromagnetic energy called an “ionized plasma vortex,” also known as ball lighting, involved with these formations.
Let’s have a closer look at this and imagine for a moment. In this particular formation, it appears the overall appearance resembles a “radio broadcast tower” with a “satellite dish” near the top. In this case, its “satellite dish” resembles the usual symbols for a “solar eclipse.” Interesting considering we will have the Great American Eclipse in just a couple days on August 21, 2017.
So what might this mean? Could we be receiving some sort of radio message from somewhere or someone at that time? Might it simply mean that new frequencies are coming onto our planet as a result of the eclipse? As we explored deeply in our latest documentary The Collective Evolution III: The Shift, celestial bodies, including the sun, have a great impact on our physical bodies, minds, and consciousness. This eclipse will be no different, and our in-house astrologer Carmen DiLuccio has outlined how this eclipse may affect you in his latest article about the eclipse.
The next intriguing aspect of this formation are the many symbols that seem to be arranged in three separate columns of seven ‘boxes’ each. What do the symbols mean? We don’t know yet.

In the end, do we know what this crop circle means? Not yet, but there are certainly some interesting aspects to it and its timing. With the eclipse coming up, it may simply serve as a reminder to take some time to be present during the eclipse tomorrow.

NASA’s SOHO satellite LASCO C2 has transmitted some images of strange anomalies very close to the sun on August 20, 2017.
A massive anomaly appears at 07.48 and seems to be a multi level structure containing a number of square/rectangular looking entrances, then at 08.12 a huge unknown object (UFO?) appears at the same spot upon which the object and the structure disappear moments later.
It looks like the structure is not connected to the sun and although it seems unlikely, could it be that a UFO flies into an interdimensional portal or maybe the multi level structure is a giant extraterrestrial mothership with hangars/landing platforms for incoming or outgoing UFO’s?
Whatever it may have been, both objects certainly were not high-energy particles called neutrinos coming from the sun. Interestingly, the images of the unknown objects have been captured a few hours before the onset of the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017.
For any Mars exploration plans, surviving on the Red Planet is as important as getting there. This is why NASA is looking forward to its Mars 2020 Rover mission, which would include a test for making oxygen on the Red Planet's surface.
SMALL STEPS FOR MAN
Getting humans to land on Mars is the biggest space project this generation will ever see. Such a bold endeavor—getting humans to another world—comes with a cornucopia of nitty-gritty details to iron out. These details need to be set before we can even begin to proceed with a manned mission.
The most obvious is the need to build rockets and spacecraft able to ferry probes (carrying food and other supplies) and people. For NASA’s mission to Mars, this also entails the construction of a lunar space station that’ll serve as a jump-off point to the rest of the solar system.
Speaking to Futurism after the successful launch of SpaceX’s CRS-12 mission on Monday, NASA Acting Chief Administrator Robert Lightfoot, Jr. explained how getting to Mars requires small, incremental steps, and he noted that NASA has a remarkable project in the works. “When you look at our plans today [for getting to Mars], we use the International Space Station as much as we can…for example, our life support systems, we test them up there.” He added that the Moon would be the next logical step in this process.
But getting to Mars and surviving there are two disparate yet equally important aspects of the same mission. “We try and make sure that, when we do a science mission or a human spaceflight mission, that we have a cross between the science and the human exploration,” Lightfoot explained.
MAKING LIFE POSSIBLE
Now no one wants to fly to Mars, land on the ground, yawp “I did it!”and then turn around and head home. Space exploration is more than symbolic pretense. We want to stay on Mars and install a colony. Of course, the eventual plan is to terraform Mars, but that could take thousands of years to accomplish — if it’s at all possible.
So, in Lightfoot’s mind, we ought to start small, and there’s nothing more basic for survival on Mars (or anywhere) than having a secure source of air to breathe. “The next lander that is going to Mars, Mars 2020, has an experiment where we are going to try and actually generate oxygen out of the atmosphere on Mars, clearly that’s for human capability down the road,” Lightfoot said.

What we know is that the Red Planet’s atmosphere is thinner than Earths, with some 95.32 percent carbon dioxide, 2.7 percent nitrogen, 1.6 percent argon, and about 0.13 oxygen, plus a bunch of other elements in even smaller amounts. By contrast, the Earth’s atmosphere has 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. Water won’t be much of a problem, though.
Is it possible to make oxygen from Mar’s atmosphere? NASA’s had plans for this since 2014, when it first revealed the Mars 2020 Rover. It involves bringing some microbial life to Mars, perhaps bacteria or algae, that would would use Martian soil as fuel and then pump out oxygen as a product. The oxygen could then be harnessed and made available for breathing and also to make rocket fuel for return flights to Earth.
It may sound like science fiction right now, but lab experiments have shown that it’s possible. That’s why the Mars 2020 Rover mission is crucial. Other efforts to make Mars habitable include plans of building a magnetic shield around the planet, similar to Earth’s, building a nuclear reactor, as well as growing potatoes like in Matt Damon in The Martian.

A woman in Arizona who was born without a vagina — the result of a rare condition — is speaking out about her condition, and raising money for a surgery to treat it.
People with this condition are genetically female (meaning they have two X chromosomes), and have normally functioning ovaries. They also have normal external genitalia, and so the condition is usually discovered only when women do not get their period, as was the case for Moats. [Read more about the rare condition.]

Whiskey connoisseurs have long thought that mixing a few drops of water with the drink could enhance its flavor.

A bizarre-looking dinosaur discovered by a young boy in Chile may be the missing link showing how members of one major dinosaur lineage evolved into a completely new dinosaur group, a new study finds.

7. Predicting Eclipses

More than 2,000 years before the Great American Solar Eclipse, which will darken the skies over the U.S. on Aug. 21, astronomers in ancient Greece developed their own "supercomputer" to predict eclipses just like this one.
Though the mysterious astronomical calculator's 2,000 years under the sea have corroded it, scientists have used 3D imaging to reveal some of the text on the box, which provides instructions on how to use it, according to a 2016 study published in the journal Almagest. 9. More Dangers at Fukushima

The Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant is still severely damaged from the magnitude-9.0 earthquake and massive tsunami that crippled it in March 2011. But now, the area is facing another threat: What is thought to be an undetonated World War II-era bomb was discovered on the grounds of the power plant, according to news sources.
Fukushima police plan to examine the device to confirm that it actually is a bomb, and they will decide how to dispose of it if it is still explosive, according to The Mainichi. [Read more about bomb.]
10. Antarctic Dangers?

Nearly 100 previously unknown volcanoes lurk beneath Antarctica, and scientists still don't know how many of these volcanoes are active.
The Ocumetics Bionic Lens essentially replaces a person's natural eye lens, given them the ability to see three times better than 20/20 vision. Though not yet available to the public, human trials are expected to begin on the lenses in July 2017.
A CLEAR PROBLEM
Most of us take our vision for granted. As a result, we take the ability to read, write, drive, and complete a multitude of other tasks for granted. However, unfortunately, sight is not so easy for everyone.
Cataracts account for about a third of these. The National Eye Institute reports that more than half of all Americans will have cataracts or will have had cataract surgery by the time they are 80, and in low- and middle-income countries, they’re the leading cause of blindness.
But now, people with vision problems may have new hope.
A WELCOME SIGHT
Soon, cataracts may be the thing of the past, and even better, it may be possible to see a staggering three times better than 20/20 vision. Oh, and you could do it all without wearing glasses or contacts.
So what exactly does having three times better vision mean? If you can currently read a text that is 10 feet away, you would be able to read the same text from 30 feet away. What’s more, people who currently can’t see properly might be able to see a lot better than the average person.
This development comes thanks to the Ocumetics Bionic Lens. This dynamic lens essentially replaces a person’s natural eye lens. It’s placed into the eye via a saline-filled syringe, after which it unravels itself in under 10 seconds.
It may sound painful, but Dr. Garth Webb, the optometrist who invented the Ocumetics Bionic Lens, says that the procedure is identical to cataract surgery and would take just about eight minutes. He adds that people who have the specialized lenses surgically inserted would never get cataracts and that the lenses feel natural and won’t cause headaches or eyestrain.
The Bionic Lens may sound like a fairy tale (or sci-fi dream), but it’s not. It is actually the end result of years and years of research and more than a little funding — so far, the lens has taken nearly a decade to develop and has cost US$3 million.
There is still some ways to go before you will be able to buy them, but if the timeline Webb offered in an interview with Eye Design Optometry holds up, human studies will begin in July 2017, and the bionic lenses will be available to the public in March 2018.

Enormous Pyramid Just Discovered in Antarctica Could Change How We Look At History Forever
Google Earth: It’s good for more than just looking at aerial views of where your ex is living now.
As it turns out, it’s good for a whole lot more, actually: Recently, Google Earth satellite imagery discovered a constellation of three snow-covered pyramids in Antarctica. Scientists and researchers are, admittedly, rather taken aback.
Two of the three pyramids are about 10 miles inland, while the third is directly near the coastline.
The implications? Well, this discovery could end up re-writing our entire history. No research has ever mentioned a civilization in Antarctica, much less one with the technological know-how to construct pyramids. So, how did these pyramids get there? That answer requires a look back in time.
As any 3rd-grader knows, Antarctica is cold. Really cold. Frozen, actually, at least until climate change has something to say about it. But it wasn’t always this way; over millions of years, Antarctica has drifted from a position closer to the equator to its present perma-frozen location. The British Antarctic Survey backs this up:
with doctor Vanessa Bowman saying “Go back 100 million years ago, and Antarctica was covered in lush rainforests similar to those that exist in New Zealand today.
NASA seems to agree, too. In an expedition to Antarctica’s Lake Vida, they discovered unexpected microbial lifeforms trapped under a 65-foot-thick sheet of ice. They resemble descendants of microorganisms from much warmer climates.
Today’s technology couldn’t begin to touch the idea of building a pyramid in Antarctica. Manpower and logistics alone would tank the project before it even started. Clearly, these pyramids were built in the past — a time when Antarctica was inhabited.
Which presents a tremendously complicated problem for our view of history: About 100 million years ago, someone was building pyramids on the Antarctica that was then located at the equator. With estimates of human civilization not stretching back even close to far enough to account for this, maybe it’s time we start looking for some different timelines.
Egyptian pyramids are still a point of fascination for generations of modern humans. They’ve stood the test of time. So what of these even-more-ancient pyramids? What might we learn of their builders, should we go explore them?
Strangely, this wouldn’t have occurred without climate change — making it, officially, the only time that I’ve had reason to be happy that it’s so much hotter outside every year.
Planet Earth is home to some spectacular relics from bygone eras, constructions that seem to defy the technological capabilities of their time either because they’re too big, too heavy, or too complex.
As such, some suggest the ancient builders of the Egyptian pyramids, the Nasca lines, and others were following an extraterrestrial instruction manual. Perhaps the hands that crafted these sites weren’t really of this world.
To be sure, it’s fun to think about whether aliens have visited Earth. After all, humans are on the threshold of expanding our reach in space, and places like Mars are in our sight. But the truth is, there’s no evidence suggesting that aliens have ever been here. And invoking a supernatural explanation for some of the most monumental of human achievements means skipping over the fascinating ways in which prehistoric civilizations managed to make some of the largest and most enigmatic constructions on Earth.
1. SACSAYHUAMÁN

Outside the old Inca capital of Cusco, a fortress called Sacsayhuamán rests in the Peruvian Andes. Built from enormous stones that have been chiseled and stacked together like a jigsaw puzzle, some say Sacsayhuamán could be the work of an ancient civilization that had a little help from interstellar friends.
The 1,000-year-old interlocking fortress walls are made of rocks that weigh as much as 360 tons each, and which were carried more than 20 miles before being lifted and fit into place with laser-like precision.
How an ancient culture accomplished such a feat of engineering is a fun little problem to solve; turns out the Inca were as adept at building houses and fortified complexes as they were at watching the sky and keeping calendars. In fact, Sacsayhuamán isn’t the only example of this intricate masonry: Similar walls exist throughout the Inca Empire, including one in Cusco where a 12-angled stone has been carefully wedged into place.
More recently, archaeologists have uncovered traces of the rope-and-lever system the Inca used to transport stones from their quarries to their cities—a system that relied on strength and ingenuity, rather than alien architects.
2. NASCA LINES

On a high and dry plateau some 200 miles southeast of Lima, more than 800 long, straight white lines are etched into the Peruvian desert, seemingly at random. Joining them are 300 geometric shapes and 70 figures of animals, including a spider, monkey, and hummingbird.
The longest of the lines run straight as an arrow for miles. The biggest shapes stretch nearly 1,200 feet across and are best viewed from the air. Scientists suspect the Nasca drawings are as many as two millennia old, and because of their age, size, visibility from above, and mysterious nature, the lines are often cited as one of the best examples of alien handiwork on Earth. Otherwise, how would an ancient culture have been able to make such huge designs in the desert without being able to fly? And why?
Turns out, it’s rather easy to understand the how. Called geoglyphs, these enigmatic designs are made by removing the top, rust-colored layer of rocks and exposing the brighter white sand underneath.
The why is a bit tougher to comprehend. First studied in the early 1900s, the designs were initially suspected to be aligned with constellations or solstices, but more recent work suggests the Nasca lines point to ceremonial or ritual sites related to water and fertility. And in addition to being visible from the air, the shapes can be seen from surrounding foothills.
3. EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS

Just outside Cairo, in Giza, the most famous of Egypt’s pyramids rise from the desert. Built more than 4,500 years ago, the Pyramids at Giza are monumental tombs where ancient queens and pharaohs were buried.
But how, exactly, did the Egyptians build these things? The Great Pyramid is made of millions of precisely hewn stones weighing at least two tons each. Even with today’s cranes and other construction equipment, building a pyramid as big as that of Pharaoh Khufu would be a formidable challenge.
And then there’s the astronomical configuration of the pyramids, which is said to align with the stars in Orion’s belt. As well, alien theorists often point to the fact that these three pyramids are in way better shape than others built centuries later (never mind the amount of work that has gone into preserving them over the past several centuries).
So are Egypt’s pyramids artifacts of aliens? Not exactly. It’s true that scientists aren’t quite sure how the ancient Egyptians build the pyramids—and especially how they did it so quickly—but there’s ample evidence that these tombs are the work of thousands of earthly hands.
4. STONEHENGE

A huge circle of stones, some weighing as much as 50 tons, sits in the English countryside outside Salisbury. Known as Stonehenge, the Neolithic monument inspired Swiss author Erich von Däniken to suggest it was a model of the solar system that also functioned as an alien landing pad—after all, how else could those massive stones have ended up hundreds of miles from their home quarry?
No one knows what, exactly, the meaning of Stonehenge is, but, as with all the other sites in this collection, the explanation is not aliens. Instead, scientists have demonstrated it’s actually possible to build such a thing using technologies that would have been around 5,000 years ago, when the earliest structures at the site were built.
And now, it appears as though the stones are aligned with solstices and eclipses, suggesting the Stonehenge builders were at least keeping an eye on the heavens, even if they didn’t come from above.
5. TEOTIHUACÁN

Teotihuacán, meaning the "City of the Gods," is a sprawling, ancient city in Mexico that’s best known for its pyramidal temples and astronomical alignments. Built more than 2,000 years ago, Teotihuacán’s age, size, and complexity can make it seem otherworldly, but it’s very much the work of humans.
Scientists suspect that over centuries, a mix of cultures including Maya, Zapotec, and Mixtec built the city that could house more than 100,000 people. With its murals, tools, transportation system, and evidence of advanced agricultural practices, Teotihuacán is often considered much more technologically developed than should have been possible in pre-Aztec Mexico.
By far, the most well known of Teotihuacán’s buildings is the massive Pyramid of the Sun. One of the largest such constructions in the Western Hemisphere, the pyramid’s curious alignment is believed to be based on calendrical cycles.
6. EASTER ISLAND

The enigmas surrounding the moai, Easter Island’s fleet of large stone figures, pretty much follow the same narrative as the other sites described here: How in the world did the Rapa Nui make these figures more than 1,000 years ago? And how did the moai end up on Easter Island?
Carved from stone, the nearly 900 human figures are sprinkled along the flanks of the island’s extinct volcanoes. The figures average 13 feet tall and weigh 14 tons and appear to have been chiseled from the soft volcanic tuff found in the Rano Raraku quarry. There, more than 400 statues are still in various states of construction, with some completed figures awaiting transportation to their intended resting place.
The reasons for carving the moai are mysterious, though they were likely sculpted for religious or ritual reasons. It’s also not exactly clear what happened to the stone-crafting Rapa Nui, but a leading theory suggests their civilization succumbed to an environmental disaster of their own making … which is something that probably could have been prevented had ancient aliens bestowed their infinite wisdom upon the culture.
7. THE FACE ON MARS

If Elon Musk has his way, humans will be capable of visiting the “face on Mars” sometime this century. Spotted by the Viking 1 orbiter in 1976, the so-called face is nearly two miles long and is in a region called Cydonia, which separates the smooth plains of the Martian north from the more cratered terrain in the south. At the time, scientists dismissed the “face” as shadow play, but over the decades it has become a favorite among those who suspect aliens with a penchant for building things have been visiting the solar system.
In 2001, NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor took another good look at the face—using a much higher resolution camera—and saw … no face. Turns out that what had appeared to be a face is just another boring old Martian mesa, kind of like the landforms that litter the U.S. Southwest.
But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be fun to visit.
