It might sound unbelievable, but we’re currently living in an era that’s birthed the disclosure of some very sensitive information. So sensitive that despite all of the evidence, it’s still hard for many people to think about, let alone accept. And that’s the fact that there are now dozens of governments who have confirmed the existence of UFOs. We’re talking about mysterious objects performing maneuvers that defy our laws of physics. Apart from having both visual and radar confirmations, there are hundreds of military officers from all ranks, politicians and academicians speaking out and providing evidence that suggests some of these UFOs are indeed extraterrestrial.
One of the people responsible for this movement is Dr. Steven Greer, MD and founder of The Disclosure Project and The Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), who has been on a mission for decades to shed light on the fact that we’re not alone, that we’ve never been alone, and that an ET presence is currently engaging our planet and the human race.
This person has been able to organize and bring forth hundreds of military whistleblowers with verified backgrounds, who have given some shocking witness testimony. Colonel Ross Dedrickson is one example; here is an interview Dr. Greer conducted with him over a decade ago.
Another example would be former Apollo astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who confirmed that himself and Greer did in fact have multiple meetings within the Pentagon about this issue.
One thing is for sure: Greer has some interesting connections that have allowed him to do what he does. He’s known as the father of the disclosure movement, for one person to bring forth hundreds of defence employees is quite eye-opening.
Out of all those who support him that come from different fields and verified backgrounds, Dr. Greer has amassed a great deal of credibility. Being in contact with, and referenced by astronauts, colonels, generals and more who have agreed to participate in the disclosure movement is what gives his project a special kind of credibility, because all those who agree to an interview do indeed come from where they say they do, within the military industrial complex. Never before have we seen such a large gathering, all with verified backgrounds.
Which is why, when he conducts an interview where the name remains anonymous, it’s that much more interesting. Sure, we can’t verify this person’s identify, but the hundreds of others who have been a part of his disclosure project, as well as all of the big names who have verified multiple stories from Greer, it’s probably best to give this one the benefit of the doubt.

Other Information That Lends Credibility To This Story
According to Author and UFO researcher Dr. William Lester, the CIA released documents to him under the Freedom of Information act after he made a request while researching for his new book at the time, A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier. The document and story was brought forth by the Daily Mail, pertaining to a letter written by John F. Kennedy to the head of the CIA demanding to be shown highly confidential documents about UFOs just 10 days before his assassination.
According to the Daily Mail, “the secret memo is one of two letters written by JFK asking for information about the paranormal on November 12 1963, which have been released by the CIA for the first time.”
It’s understandable that a Daily Mail article and a claim from a UFO researcher isn’t really considered credible, but what’s even more fascinating about the story is the fact that it also appears within some Wikileaks Cables.
February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files; over five million emails from the Texas headquartered “global intelligence” company Stratfor. The emails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques, and psychological methods.
From these emails, we have one that details information that documents by a gentleman named Timothy S. Cooper, who, according to many, leaked the supposed “MJ-12” documents that dealt with the cover-up of UFO/extraterrestrial phenomenon.
In the email, it states that “Soon after Kennedy became President, he began to needle the CIA for information on UFOs” and that “President Kennedy fired off a top secret memorandum to him outlining a previous discussion concerning a classification review of all CIA UFO files that could affect national security. Dated 12 November, 1963, just ten days before he would be gunned down in the streets of Dallas, Texas, Kennedy informed Angleton that he was setting things in motion to actually share sensitive CIA UFO intelligence data with the Russians through the director of NASA.”
The question to ask here is why is a company like Stratfor sending emails within the company regarding this topic?
Definitely interesting to think about.
Perhaps the most interesting fact is that JFK was President right around the time a massive cover-up regarding this topic ensued. Only a couple of terms before his own, President Harry Truman went on national television stating that this topic is discussed at every single conference they have with the military. The topic of flying saucers and “other things.” He stated that “there are always things like that going on” (source).
There are even claims that President Eisenhower held a meeting with extraterrestrials. His great granddaughter Laura is one who has spoken about the incident. You can read more about that specific story and where it comes from, here.
Today, Presidents don’t really know much. In fact, based on my research, when they do inquire they’re not told much and they don’t really have access nor a need to know information about UFOs and extraterrestrials. So who does?

It seems, based on my research, that presidents don’t really have access to this type of information, and it’s not an easy thing to inquire about.
“The results suggest that certain mediums can anomalously receive accurate information about deceased individuals. The study design effectively eliminates conventional mechanisms as well as telepathy as explanations for the information reception, but the results cannot distinguish among alternative paranormal hypotheses, such as survival of consciousness (the continued existence, separate from the body, of an individual’s consciousness or personality after physical death) and super-psi (or super-ESP; retrieval of information via a psychic channel or quantum field).”
That’s right, over decades, and even over thousands of years, intellectuals have been interested in those who claim, or are seen by others, to have “supernormal” type of abilities which cannot really be explained by our current knowledge of science. That being said, just because we can’t explain it, doesn’t mean it’s not real, and studies like the ones above have shown, multiple times, that there are people on the planet who can do some extraordinary things that completely defy belief, logic and reason. This is often why we see such a harsh response to it, because it contradicts and conflicts with most people’s idea of what can and can’t be achieved.
It’s something that’s been claimed to be done for thousands of years. Be it through Oracles of the past, Yogi’s with superhuman abilities that are described in ancient Eastern texts, or modern-day mediums, it seems something is going on here, which is evident by the amount of research put into it and how many “intellectuals” and “scholars” continue to study it and vouch for its validity.
There is usually, however, a response that this type of thing is a result of complete delusion.

The Woman Who Visited Mars
Helene Smith was a 19th century French medium. She is noted for popularizing the concept of automatic writing, that is, writing down information while in a trance like state, doing so in a type of unconscious manner.
In the 50’s and 60’s, all the way up to the present day, the field of ufology is filled with supposed off-world contactee’s, who usually receive their information in similar ways. These people were quite popular and received a lot of serious attention many decades ago, and some of what they said sharply correlates with what’s been happening today.
In 1954, an ordinary citizen by the name of George King was also one of many who was/had been contacted by extraterrestrial intelligence, this one was from Mars as well, and supposedly part of an alliance of several intelligences from other planets.
Now, if you think this is impossible given what we know about those planets, well, it turns out we don’t know as much as we thought we did. For example, Mars is not the dry arid planet we once thought it to be. NASA scientists recently held a press conference revealing some astonishing facts about extraterrestrial life on Mars.

As far as Helene, her contacts name was ‘Leopold,’ and she become popular when a Professor of Psychology at the University of Geneva, Theodor Flournoy, published a book titled “Des Indes a la planete Mars.” The book documented her experiences.
Multiple linguists were also brought in to translate the words that were channeled through her, and they seemed to be a mix of multiple languages, and not the easiest to understand.
She used to write out supposed Martian speech onto paper and then translate it into French when she was in her trance like state.
It featured her paintings of Martian landscapes and documented her “experiences” on Mars, of humanoid type beings and certain social ways of greeting each other, their homes, etc…
Now, if you read the articles linked above about Mars, and what modern day, ‘credible,’ people have said about what’s going on up there, it’s interesting to think about to say the least.

Personally, I like to look into topics with skepticism. The more research I’ve done about Mars, contactee’s and channellers, it’s not uncommon to find multiple consistencies that come through in the form of channeling and automatic writing.

Een Franse vrouw beweerde in 1894 de planeet Mars te hebben bezocht en daar gecommuniceerd te hebben met buitenaardse wezens.
Helene Smith uit het Zwitserse Martigny begon op 33-jarige leeftijd voor het eerst te claimen dat ze contact had met aliens.
Ze zei ook dat ze een reïncarnatie was van een Hindoeprinses en Marie Antoinette.
Automatisch schrijven
De vrouw, die eigenlijk Catherine-Elise Müller heette, zei in de jaren daarna onder meer dat ze de rode planeet had bezocht en daar met aliens had gesproken.
Smith is voor zover bekend één van de eerste mensen die beweerde contact te hebben met aliens. Ze maakte zelfs tekeningen van de wezens die ze zou hebben ontmoet.
De vrouw schreef ook vreemde teksten die ze via automatisch schrijven doorkreeg en die ze vertaalde naar het Frans.
Verkeerd begrepen
Het zelfverklaarde medium werd onderzocht door professor Theodore Flournoy van de Universiteit van Genève, die in 1899 een boek over haar schreef met de titel ‘Des Indes à la Planète Mars’ (van India tot de planeet Mars).
In het boek zijn onder meer haar tekeningen van de landschappen op Mars en ervaringen opgenomen. Er zijn mensachtige wezens op te zien die elkaar begroeten.
Het boek werd zeer goed ontvangen, maar Müller vond dat ze verkeerd begrepen was en wilde niet langer met Flournoy samenwerken omdat hij haar ervaringen had afgeschilderd als een product van wat hij beschouwde als kinderlijke verbeelding.
Boriska
Meerdere taalkundigen bogen zich over de teksten die ze had opgeschreven. Het leek te gaan om een combinatie van verschillende talen.
Müller is niet de enige die beweert dat ze op de rode planeet is geweest. Onlangs was de Rus Boriska Kiprijanovitsj nog in het nieuws. Hij beweert dat hij op het ‘door oorlog verscheurde’ Mars heeft geleefd.
Hij zei dat in een ver verleden een nucleaire ramp heeft plaatsgevonden op de planeet.

Wij mensen staan bekend als goedgelovige wezens die je van alles wijs kunt maken, wat dan ook volop gebeurt door de machthebbers van deze wereld.
Het bewijs dat de menselijke beschaving veel ouder is dan ons wordt verteld, ligt voor het oprapen in de verhalen van de oude Egyptenaren.
Ieder mens is in meer of mindere mate geïnteresseerd in de menselijke geschiedenis, simpelweg omdat ze zelf een mens zijn. Natuurlijk wil je dan weten waar je eigenlijk vandaan komt en wat er voor jouw bestaan op deze aarde gebeurde.
Op het moment echter dat wij als mensenkinderen in de programmeerfabrieken van de overheid, die ook wel scholen worden genoemd, terechtkomen dan worden wij systematisch gehersenspoeld met fabeltjes.
Wij leren op school dat onze menselijke geschiedenis ongeveer 5.000 jaar teruggaat en dat alles wat daarvoor plaatsvond niets anders is dan mythologie. Dit uiteraard om te voorkomen dat wij erachter zullen komen dat onze werkelijke voorouders afkomstig waren van andere planeten en dat er al tienduizenden jaren lang menselijke beschavingen op aarde zijn geweest.
Want, het is de kennis die we nodig hebben om overal doorheen te prikken en te beseffen dat we systematisch zijn bedonderd vanaf het moment dat we zijn geboren.
Eén van de oudste en meest bekende rijken op aarde is Egypte, waar volgens onze geschiedenisboeken zo'n 3000 jaar voor Christus opeens de eerste farao's als uit het niets verschijnen.
Alles wat daarvoor is gebeurd, wordt door de mainstream wetenschappers min of meer verwezen naar het rijk der fabelen. Natuurlijk is dat niet het geval en waren er talloze heersers voordat de bij ons bekende farao's er waren.
En de informatie daarover is ons nota bene door de Egyptenaren zelf nagelaten in de vorm van een papyrys document, de Turijnse koningslijst genaamd.
De Turijnse koningslijst zijn een aantal fragmenten papyrus waar hiëratische teksten staan, beschreven ten tijde van Ramses II. De papyrus werd ontdekt in 1820 door Bernardino Drovetti in 300 stukjes in een graf te Thebe en is de meest uitgebreide lijst die beschikbaar is van de Farao's, samengesteld door de Egyptenaren.
Op die koningslijst wordt duidelijk aangegeven dat er vele heersers waren over het Egyptische rijk voordat de bij ons bekende farao's er waren. Onze geschiedenisboeken doen net of deze niet echt zijn en verwijzen naar mythische goden.
De Egyptenaren geven duidelijk aan dat het begon met de Goden die over het rijk regeerden en die daarna werden opgevolgd door de halfgoden. Deze werden de volgelingen van Horus genoemd en zij werden uiteindelijk weer opgevolgd door de bij ons bekende farao's.
Wanneer je de vroegere heersers over Egypte meetelt, kom je al snel uit op een jaartal van ongeveer 30.000 voor Christus voor de eerste Egyptische beschavingen.
Niet alleen bij de Egyptenaren wordt gesproken over heersers ver vóór de bij ons bekende, hetzelfde geldt voor de Soemerische kleitabletten waar volgens sommige onderzoekers de beschaving nog veel verder teruggaat en er worden zelfs getallen genoemd van een kwart miljoen jaar.
Een andere bijzonderheid van de Turijnse koningslijst schijnt te zijn dat er wordt gesproken over een dusdanig lange periode dat de sterren vier keer van koers zijn veranderd en de zon twee keer is ondergegaan op een positie waar ze normaal op komt.
Waar het op lijkt, is dat de oudste beschavingen op aarde voorkwamen in Soemer en dat het vandaar is uitgewaaierd naar Egypte.
De werkelijke geschiedenis van onze aarde is natuurlijk bekend bij de vele geheime genootschappen, maar die kennis wordt koste wat kost verborgen gehouden voor de gewone man. Die moet gewoon zijn mond dichthouden, niet zeuren, luisteren naar de pastoor, imam of dominee, werken, belasting betalen en op tijd doodgaan, anders worden ze te duur.
Dat ook wij eigenlijk Goden zijn, is iets dat we niet mogen weten en dus bij deze:

Onlangs hebben wij enkele artikel gepubliceerd over vreemde dingen die zich voordoen met betrekking tot dimensies en hoe dat soms gerelateerd kan worden aan een bepaald gebied.
En wanneer we wat dieper spitten, zijn er inderdaad beruchte gebieden op aarde waar je beter niet kan komen als je tenminste niet spoorloos wilt verdwijnen.
En dat bepaalde plekken op aarde anders zijn dan andere, toont het volgende verhaal aan.
Een gebied op aarde waar speciale krachten aan het werk schijnen te zijn, noemt men een vortex. Een gebied waar hele enge dingen gebeuren, noemt men wel een vile vortex. Wanneer je het woord "vile" vertaald, dan krijg je walgelijk, laaghartig of gemeen.
Kortom een vile vortex is geen plek waar je graag wilt verblijven en tot nu toe zijn er 12 van dergelijke vile vortexen geïdentificeerd op aarde.
Op het volgende plaatje is te zien waar ze liggen op aarde.
De meest bekende van de vortexen is wel de Bermuda Driehoek, de plek in het Caraïbisch gebied waar in de loop der jaren talloze vliegtuigen en schepen zijn verdwenen.
Ook de Noord- en Zuidpool horen bij de 12 vortexen en daarnaast nog een aantal andere locaties, waarvan de Duivelszee ten zuiden van Japan waarschijnlijk de meest bekende is.
Echter, er schijnt nog een locatie te zijn die niet voor komt op de lijst van 12 vile vortexen, maar die daar eigenlijk wel op thuis zou horen. En dat is een gebied in de woestijn van Mexico met de naam Zona del Silencio, het Gebied der Stilte.
Het is een bizar gebied, waar letterlijk niets schijnt te werken. Er groeit en bloeit zo goed als niets, radiosignalen werken er niet, net zo min als vliegtuigapparatuur en het schijnt een plek te zijn waar zich veel mysterieuze UFO-zaken afspelen.
Het is ook een gebied waar in de loop der jaren om onverklaarbare redenen een aantal Amerikaanse raketten naar beneden zijn gekomen en ook schijnen er meer meteorieten terecht te komen dan waar dan ook.
Een gebied waar mensen ook verhalen vertellen over ontmoetingen met figuren die lijken op de bekende Men in Black en die plotsklaps als in het niets verdwijnen. Een gebied waar de rotsen op een vreemde manier magnetisch zijn en waar talloze keren vreemde mysterieuze lichten worden waargenomen.
In de onderstaande video geeft Tyler van Secureteam nog meer dingen aan waarom de Zona del Silencio eigenlijk toegevoegd zou moeten worden aan de 12 "vile" vortexen, waardoor het er uiteraard 13 zullen worden. In het licht van de aard van deze vile vortexen zou het (ongeluks)getal 13 in ieder geval wel passen.

AFPHet gevaarte is zo'n 400 meter lang en 40 meter breed. Maar wat het is, en waar het vandaan komt, dat proberen wetenschappers nu uit te zoeken.
DE KRANTHet is geen vliegtuig, het is geen vogel, het is geen rots en het is geen afval. Wát dan wel het sigaarvormige gevaarte is dat door onze ruimte klieft, weet niemand. Wetenschappers sluiten niet uit dat het een deel van een ruimteschip is - al blijft de kans klein. De grootste beweegbare radiotelescoop ter wereld, de Green Bank Telescoop in West-Virginia, zal vandaag tien uur lang speuren naar radiosignalen.
Wie gelooft in buitenaards leven, schuift dezer dagen ongeduldig heen en weer op zijn stoel. Want niemand lijkt met absolute zekerheid te weten wat ’Oumuamua precies is. Het gevaarte is naar schatting 400 meter lang, 40 meter breed en heeft volgens sommigen iets weg van een sigaar. In oktober werd het voor het eerst gespot in ons zonnestelsel door de Pan-Starsstelescopen op Hawaï. Het raasde toen onze planeet voorbij op een afstand 85 keer groter dan de maan van onze planeet. Today, December 13, 2017 scientists from the "Breakthrough Listen program" (a global astronomical program searching for evidence of other civilizations) was launched by Stephen Hawking in 2015 and is funded by Russian billionaire Yuri Milner and CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg will point the powerful Green Banks radio telescope which is located in West Virginia at the mysterious interstellar object named Oumuamua to listen for alien signals across four different transmission bands, reports RT.

Oumuamua was first spotted in the solar system by researchers on the Pan-Starrs telescope in Hawaii in October but due to its strange cigar-shaped body it has sparked rumors that instead of a meteor or asteroid it could be an interstellar alien craft speeding through our solar system as fast as 196,000 mph (315,000 km) as it went past the sun.
Although the 400 meter-long Oumuamua is already on it's way to the Pegasus constellation scientists at the Breakthrough Listen program take the opportunity to check the object for artificial signals.

The following amazing statement comes from a witness who has experienced a very strange encounter next to the Mazaredo bay in Argentine on December 2, 2017. The strange event was so overwhelming that the witness felt compelled to report the encounter to the Mutual UFO Network case 88710 including detailed satellite images showing the area where he has experienced the encounter.
The Mazaredo bay is opposite to the last known position of the Argentine submarine “San Juan”.
The witness states:
We did a trip by national route 281 to Puerto Deseado (Santa Cruz, Patagonia, Argentina) at the Atlantic ocean coast, later by provincial route 68, and later by provincial route 70, and by provincial route 14, and directly want to visit the antique and forgotten post office at Mazaredo site which is a part of the antique President Roca telegraph (year 1905) next to Mazaredo Bay (Argentine coast).
That mega construction with towers of 210 feet high and thousands of post (eucalyptus) and wires was forgotten in the time. The antique post office was made in red patagonia hard stones and is totally beautiful.
We arrive at night and see not other people in the area and we were plans to stay there a week, but the place awaiting us with a surprise. In the early morning we go to the sea (4 miles away), we chose to go by foot to make natural photos.
During the trip we cut off by a ravine (a little canyon) of 150 feet tall or less, then in a curve of this we can see at the top five white range rovers ‘evoque’ with an orange circle icon with a line through it on the side, some people dressed in rare almost translucent clothes, three 30 foot towers and one big artifact with cone shape.
The last was pointed to the sea and it sounded like to an exact whale song, almost ten second we can see a flash pulse in direction to the sea horizon and then from there something answered from the sea, again and again.
This people see us and we waved our hands to say hello and they did the same.
When we arrive to the coast, we find two men more, they talk with us and said "hello, are you here to see the post office?"
We said "yes" and they said "You are needed to see a last telegraph reference, a bronze tribute plate", and then they said which direction we must to go (1 mile from there).
We question about the vehicles and towers, and the cone, they said "we are looking for something; it is a scientific stuff, important for us".
In the next three days that vehicles and that people stay there, we see them ten times but we never go, where they are.
After we left, the telezoom photographs we had taken were blanked, we have no problems, or car damages, or health risk, we are ok and go to our business.
Coincidence or not but the Mazaredo bay is opposite to the last known position of the Argentine submarine “San Juan” which vanished in the Atlantic with 44 on board on the morning of November 15, 2017.
Although the navy earlier said the vessel’s captain had reported a short circuit after water had entered the submarine’s snorkel and that the battery malfunction may explain a vicious chain of events that led to the submarine being sunk as the result of an on-board explosion, could it be that the missing Argentine Submarine has been used in a Philadelphia-like experiment given the strange activities in the Mazaredo bay?

Colorful, staggered lights numbering from one to five and fluctuating in appearance, surrounded by aircraft On December 11, 2017, a family friend shared a video he took near Sour Lake, Texas of four staggered lights, changing color rapidly and floating in formation 10 or so miles southwest of the bridge he was filming from. On the following day, just hours before writing this report, I went to the very same bridge around the same time, 6:00 PM, and witnessed much the same as he did. The family friend also showed up and witnessed the event. This time, the lights began as three and gradually grew in number to five. The way they did this is indiscernible, it seemed as though one light would merge with another and form into one, or break off into two. They looked like large stars, flashing all colors of the rainbow randomly. Some lights maintained cooler colors, some warmer, and one remained glowing white throughout.
Around the area, same as the previous day, there were between 5 and 10 aircraft circling the area. We watched for almost 45 minutes, before I took to the general perimeter of the event. Due to the low elevation of most of our part of the state, I caught only a few glimpses on the round trip, but when I returned to the bridge about an hour later, one light was still visible. I filmed for a few minutes before being stopped by a police officer, who let me go without even asking for my license after seeing the light as well. He did tell me not to linger long, but in the few minutes I stayed after he had left, two more lights had reappeared. I left the bridge at about 8:10 with three lights in the sky.

NASA has announced plans to livestream a major media briefing on Thursday, December 14. The agency says the event will focus on the latest Kepler discovery, which was facilitated by machine learning techniques from Google.
Kepler was launched in 2009, and it has already profoundly affected our understanding of space. When it set out on its voyage, we didn’t know how common planets were outside of our solar system. Now, thanks to the insights provided by Kepler, astronomers believe there might be one or more planets orbiting every star.
Due to issues with Kepler’s reaction wheels, its initial planet-hunting mission was brought to an end in 2013. Since then, it’s been on the hunt for exoplanets using its remaining capabilities.
Kepler has been used to observe the seven planets that comprise the TRAPPIST-1 system. NASA announced the discovery of these worlds in February 2017, and since then, the agency has been using Kepler, Spitzer, and Hubble to find out more about these bodies and their potential to support life.
NASA isn’t the only space agency that’s been consistently sharing major discoveries. In October, the European Southern Observatory (ESO) shared news of an “unprecedented” finding pertaining to gravitational waves. That announcement turned out to be the first time we were able to observe gravitational waves and light from the same event concurrently.
We don’t know what this latest Kepler discovery will be about, but the last time NASA announced a major news conference like the one scheduled for December 14, TRAPPIST-1 was the focus, so it’s reasonable to assume this week’s announcement will be something suitably exciting. Thankfully, the wait to find out for sure is a brief one.

Oumuamua heeft op geen enkel moment een komeetachtige staart gehad nadat het voorbij de zon passeerde, wat erop wijst dat het niet gaat om een vers stuk wrakgoed van een nabijgelegen sterrensysteem. Bovendien is Oumuamua dieprood gekleurd, wat er mogelijk op wijst dat het gaat om een asteroïde van een andere ster. Ook de afmetingen van het object doen wetenschappers in de haren krabben. Oumuamua lijkt gevormd als een naald, met een lengte tot 800 meter en een breedte van nauwelijks 80 meter, en draait om de zeven uur en twintig minuten om zijn as.
Dat maakt dat Oumuamua eerder de vorm heeft van een afgelijnd interstellair ruimtetuig dan van een asteroïde. Voldoende om alienjagers onder hoogspanning te zetten.
Avi Loeb, de voorzitter van het departement Astronomie van Harvard, besloot daarom om de cavalerie erbij te halen. “Hoe meer ik dit object bestudeer, hoe ongewoner het lijkt, wat me doet afvragen of dit een kunstmatig gemaakte verkenner is die is uitgestuurd door een buitenaarde beschaving”, schreef hij in een mail naar de Russische miljardair Yuri Milner. Mocht tegen alle verwachtingen in blijken dat Oumuamua signalen uitzendt, zal dat niet in de doofpot verdwijnen, verzekert Andrew Siemion, hoofdwetenschapper van Breakthrough Listen. Vanaf het moment dat er een signaal wordt opgepikt, zal het team in Green Bank Oumuamua onmiddellijk opnieuw observeren om het signaal te bevestigen. An ancient tomb discovered in Baoji City in Shaanxi, China, back in 2013, is ripe with spoils of war. The crypt is filled with bronze ceremonial vessels etched with intricate designs, and alongside the artifacts, archaeologists found a badly decomposed body.

The hoard of vessels, most of which are believed to be ‘food vessels’, include a four-handled tureen, a type of deep dish used to serve soup. It’s a lavish piece, decorated with 192 spikes and engravings of dragons and birds, alongside 24 etchings of bovine heads.

Two wine vessels shaped as deer and engraved with complex designs were also discovered in the M4 tomb. The skeleton found in the tomb is badly decomposed and archaeologists could not determine his identity. Still, the person buried there must have been a chieftain or someone of great importance.

The team referred to the vessels as “ritual vessels,” saying that if they were ever used to actually serve food, it would only have been during religious or burial ceremonies. They were likely spoils of war, gifted to the person buried in the tomb, they note.
“The occupant of Tomb M4 was most likely of elite status, and could potentially be a high ranking chief or the spouse of a chief,” wrote the team led by Zhankui Wang.
To the victor the spoils
At the time the tomb was sealed, 3,100 years ago, the Zhou dynasty was battling their rival, the Shang. They would eventually overcome their enemy and seize control of the Shang lands. Given that several of the vessels discovered in M4 are adorned with inscriptions, some of which are the names of different Shang clans, the team believes the vessels are “originally from multiple clans of the Shang people” seized in the conflict.

The bronze booty was then gifted to the person interred in M4, the team says.
“After conquering the Shang dynasty, the Zhou king distributed the plundered war spoils to the military officers with great achievements, and these spoils usually included bronze vessels,” they wrote.
A paper about the tomb discovery was published in Chinese in 2016, in the journal Wenwu. The article was recently translated into English and published in the journal Chinese Cultural Relics.

A MAN has claimed his life will never be the same again after a bizarre encounter he and two friends had with a mysterious triangular UFO, as reported sightings increase across the globe.
Yesterday Express.co.uk reported on the growing number of bizarre triangular UFOs being reported, with the latest in Glasgow, Scotland.
Each time they are reportedly black in colour, of an enormous size, relatively low flying, at slow speeds and utterly silent.
Reports on underside lights can vary with one type, often called a TR-3B, having a light at each corner and a larger middle one.
The other type reported tends to have five or seven lights in a V shape along two of the sides.
Many witnesses report feeling a sense of fear or awe at the sighting and sometimes numbness and memory loss.

Now the man has told how his life will never be the same again after spotting the TR-3B-like UFO.
He reported the sighting to the US-based Mutual UFO Network, a database of UFO reports from across the globe, which also investigates sightings.
The witness, who has not been named by MUFON, said: "Two friends and myself were driving down the road when we saw to our right a three-storey tall, black, triangular UFO hovering stationary in the air.
"It was less the 500 feet to our right and east a little over a residential area, nearly 120 feet off the ground.
"It had a light, each on it's belly in the three corners of this triangular craft.
The three of us just kept asking each other if we were seeing the same thing. We were blown away to say the least. Life changing.

"I was the driver, but I couldn't keep my eyes off it. It's like time stopped only because we watched it for minutes while driving but never made it down the road.
"I still can't figure that out."
He said the craft's surface did not appear smooth, but looked to have detail that he could not make it out.
He added: "The vehicle began to move, after our seeing only maybe three minutes of actual hovering.
"It moved extremely slowly for what seemed to me like forever.
"The three of us just kept asking each other if we were seeing the same thing.
"We were blown away to say the least. Life changing."
Then, he claimed it moved off to the south east, appearing to shrink.
He added: "In a blink it was very small, and we realised it had taken off so fast that to us it appeared to shrink.
"We watched until it disappeared into a point on the horizon some 20 miles south east of its straight path of flight.
"We were very quiet for a while in the car after we calmed down. I think of it often and how it affected many of my points of view."
The sighting was on January 18 this year at 10.40pm local time in Herrin, Illinois, USA, however, it has just been reported to MUFON which is investigating.
Some alien hunters believe the triangles are the motherships of aliens visiting Earth.
However, many conspiracy theorists believe they are actually secret aircraft developed by the US Air Force (USAF) and other military which are being tested or used.
The TR-3B is alleged by conspiracy theorists to be a secret "black project" spy craft of the US Government that can be flown into space.

If extraterrestrial life is ever discovered, humanity would probably be pretty cool with it.
A new study, one of very few of its kind, finds that people typically respond quite positively to the notion of life on other planets. The study investigated the possibility of finding microbial extraterrestrials, not intelligent E.T.s, so people's responses might be a little different if they were told an armada of aliens were headed toward Earth, cautioned study author Michael Varnum, a psychologist at Arizona State University. Nevertheless, he noted, large portions of people believe that intelligent aliens do exist and that they've visited Earth; so even a more dramatic announcement might not ruffle feathers.
"What this suggests is, there's no reason to be afraid" of sharing news of astrobiology with the public, Varnum told Live Science. "We won't collapse. We're not going to have chaos in the streets." [13 Ways to Hunt Intelligent Alien Life]
Are we alone?
How people would respond to finding they're not alone in the universe is a perennial question, but one that has been the subject of far more speculation than study, Varnum said. He could find only one study that asked people how they thought they'd react to the announcement of extraterrestrial life, and it was a decade old.
Varnum wanted to tackle the question a bit more realistically. So he turned to the real-world news, analyzing articles dating back to 1967 that looked at discoveries that could potentially have hinted at alien life (including — full disclosure — articles by Live Science's sister site Space.com on a star with irregular brightness cycles that might have signaled extraterrestrial activity, but the irregular cycles more likely result from orbiting dust).
Most of the language in these pieces skewed positive, software analyses revealed, and writers tended to emphasize the potential rewards of discovery over potential risks. Armed with that knowledge, Varnum turned to real people. He first recruited 501 subjects on Amazon's Mechanical Turk crowd-sourcing website, paying them a small fee to write responses to two questions. One was how they would feel if scientists announced the discovery of alien microbial life. The other was how they thought the public at large would respond to such an announcement.
"It's really much more likely that we're going to encounter strange germs rather than E.T.," Varnum said. And no one has previously studied people's attitudes toward the discovery of alien microbes.
In a second study, Varnum recruited Mechanical Turk participants again. This time, they read a real-life article about the possibility of alien microbes. In 1996, scientists announced that they'd found what might be fossilized microbes in a Martian meteorite, known as Allan Hills 84001. Today, the researchers behind that discovery still think they may have found telltale signs of ancient alien life, though people in the field as a whole are far from convinced. At any rate, contemporary news articles about the discovery were very positive, Varnum said. He lifted one from The New York Times, stripped it of information about the date, and presented it to 256 participants as a new article. As a control group, he asked 249 other participants to read a real article about the creation of synthetic life in the laboratory.
Earthlings love company
In both studies, people reacted to the idea of alien life with more positivity than negativity, Varnum found. They tended to focus on the rewards over the risks. Individuals in the first study felt they, personally, would respond to the announcement of microbial E.T.s with a little more positivity than the public at large, but they still thought humanity as a whole would be enthused.
In the case of the realistic announcement about Martian microbes, people still remained overwhelmingly positive. They were pretty gung-ho about synthetic life, too, Varnum said, but Mars life got people even more jazzed. That finding suggests the enthusiasm isn't just about science or discovery or even just new life, he said, but specifically about alien life. [7 Theories on the Origins of Life]
"I think there might be something sort of comforting about knowing that life wasn't an accident that happened once here," he said. "Maybe it makes us feel a little less fragile or a little less lonely in the expanse of space."
A paper describing the findings is available as a preprint and is under review at a peer-reviewed journal. Varnum would like to replicate his findings in other countries to see if culture or other factors influence people's attitudes toward aliens. He'd also like to study people's responses to intelligent life, but it would be harder to fool participants into believing, even briefly, that humanity had made contact with an alien civilization.
"I've got to think the subject pool might think, 'Why am I hearing about this in a psychology experiment?'" he said.
Reactions to the discovery of intelligent life-forms outside of planet Earth might be a bit more complex, Varnum said, but it's hard to tell. Already, he noted, polls show that more than half of Americans, British and Germans believe extraterrestrial intelligence exists. Thirty percent believe that intelligent aliens have contacted Earth, but that the government has covered it up.
"That raises another question," Varnum said. "If I did the kind of study where I did a real-worldish, fake announcement, maybe some good chunk of participants would go, 'Well, I already knew.

In HG Wells' classic sci-fi horror novel War of the Worlds, alien invaders who conquer the Earth are ultimately killed by an unexpected weapon: our planet's native bacteria.
As strange as it may seem for this to be a genuine threat, one of the biggest challenges involved in exploring the cosmos is making sure that humanity doesn't accidentally infect foreign worlds with our own gross germs, or alternatively, unwittingly bring space bugs back to our planet.
One mistake here could leave Mars covered in dangerous diseases, or cause a plague that would wipe out life on our own home world. Enter Catharine Conley, who, since 2006, has been the stalwart defender of the Earth. She doesn't get to fire a laser gun or pilot a cool spaceship, but her job involves keeping the Earth safe from aliens that could kill us all.
The problem with microscopic life forms centers around disease resistance—or, more importantly, a lack thereof.
We might not notice that our hands are covered in tiny germs because we've developed an immunity to them, but take them elsewhere in the universe, and we could potentiallyunleash a deadly illness on the landscapethat could wipe out any native life forms that could exist there.
This is essentially the point of the ending ofWar of the Worlds—Wells' story is a metaphor for colonialism, with alien invaders neglecting to realize the effects that local micro-organisms can have on an unprepared immune system.
This happens all the time in real life—if you've ever been on a journey far from home, you might have been advised to avoid drinking the local water, just in case an otherwise harmless local bug messes with your unprepared immune system.
"We know from experience of moving organisms around on Earth that invasive species can have unexpected and unintended consequences," Conley said.
"Assuring Earth's safety from extraterrestrial biohazards is the highest priority for planetary protection."
Bringing these to Earth without thorough tests could have seen the planet suffer through an alien plague that nobody would be immune to, which was why they needed to be properly tested before being brought home.
Perhaps more important than the threat of alien life, is the dangers that are posed by Earth-borne bacteria which mutate in outer space.
Conley gained a PhD in plant biology from Cornell University in 1994, before going on to work for NASA, designing experiments into organic matter that could be undertaken in orbit.
In 2006, after working on several key projects in this field, she was officially given the title of Planetary Protection Officer, and was assigned the responsibility of organizing all decontamination processes to make sure that astronauts coming home don't bring icky space germs with them.
While Conley has been hard at work defending the Earth for decades now, her job is likely to get a lot busier in the near future as commercial space flight increases the number of rockets that are going up and coming down.
"There are an increasing number of organisations becoming involved in space exploration, so the potential for inadvertent contamination is increasing," said Conley.
At present, it seems that Conley and her team are up to the challenge of keeping the Earth safe from deadly mutants and aliens.
She may not ever get the recognition she deserves, but in spite of this, Catharine Conley toils every day to prevent invasion, and maintain microscopic peace between our planet and our neighbors.
Fontana, Calif., was founded in 1913 by Azariel Blanchard Miller. For the next 30 years it remained little more than a small rural village.
It was the dog days of August 1937, when the Great Depression still ruled America. Harry, his two younger brothers and his parents lived on the outskirts of Fontana in an old tractor barn. It wasn’t fancy, but it was shelter and the family was all together.
The three brothers were out walking one evening in an area where there were no streetlights and no automobile traffic. It was just after sunset and getting darker fast.
Suddenly the three boys were startled by the appearance of a very bright light that silently hovered above them.
Harry remembered, “We just stood and looked up at this brilliant glowing cylinder. It didn’t move, and we didn’t either. Puzzled, we asked each other what it was. Of course we were kids; we weren’t able to even make a guess.”
The boys quickly became afraid, and they ran into an orange grove to hide. “But the light just moved with us,” Harry said. “It was brighter than daylight under the orange tree that we were under.”
Frightened out of their wits, the brothers tried to figure out what to do next. “Then just as unexpectedly as the light had started, the light just abruptly went out.”
The boys stayed under the trees until they got up enough nerve to run for home. “This was a long time before anyone ever said they had seen an UFO or little green men.” Harry explained.
But sometimes a UFO incident isn’t just a sighting. On occasion these events are of an initiating nature that can go on for years.
“For a long time after that event, I had what I thought were dreams,” Harry said. “I would awake in a room with subdued light, with four or five of the little people with big heads and dark eyes. These little people were about as tall as I was and would be moving all around and touching me. I was never too afraid of them. I can’t ever recall being hurt in any way.”
Occasionally in Harry’s dreams, a door would open with a bright light. In the doorway there would be a tall person.
“I could never tell what he looked like. All I could see was his shadow, he would say something to the little people and they would leave. And soon after I would awake in my bed.”
Harry has struggled for years with these memories, whether or not these were real events or just fantasy dreams.
“I’m not too sure if they were real or not anymore. People have a hard time believing what you tell them you have seen. But the older I get, the more I think there is more to my story then I originally thought.”
The rural village became a major boom town in 1942 when the nation went to war. Henry J. Kaiser built the first West Coast integrated steel mill in Fontana in 1942 to supply plate for his seven shipyards.
The city of Fontana now has a population in excess of 200,000. It’s the second most populous city in San Bernardino County and the 19th largest in the state.
From 2001 through 2015: California had the most UFO sighting reports in the country at 15,836. San Bernardino County logged 836 of those reports. And the city of Fontana reported 50 UFO sightings.

Astronomers to Check Mysterious Interstellar Object for Signs of Technology
Russian billionaire Yuri Milner says if the space rock 'Oumuamua is giving off radio signals, his team will be able to detect them—and they may get the results within days.
The email about “a most peculiar object” in the solar system arrived in Yuri Milner’s inbox last week.
Milner, the Russian billionaire behind Breakthrough Listen, a $100 million search for intelligent extraterrestrial life, had already heard about the peculiar object. ‘Oumuamua barreled into view in October, the first interstellar objectseen in our solar system.
Astronomers around the world chased after the mysterious space rock with their telescopes, collecting as much data as they could as it sped away. Their observations revealed a truly unusual object with puzzling properties. Scientists have long predicted an interstellar visitor would someday coast into our corner of the universe, but not something like this.
“The more I study this object, the more unusual it appears, making me wonder whether it might be an artificially made probe which was sent by an alien civilization,” Avi Loeb, the chair of Harvard’s astronomy department and one of Milner’s advisers on Breakthrough Listen, wrote in the email to Milner.
A day later, Milner’s assistant summoned Loeb to Milner’s home in Palo Alto. They met there this past Saturday to talk about ‘Oumuamua, a Hawaiian word for “messenger.” Loeb ran through the space rock’s peculiarities, particularly its elongated shape, which looks like a cigar or needle—an odd shape for a common space rock.
For Milner, the object was becoming too intriguing to ignore. So he’s decided to take a closer look.
Breakthrough Listen announced Monday that the program will start checking ‘Oumuamua this week for signs of radio signals using the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia. The interstellar asteroid is now about twice the distance between the Earth and the sun from our planet, moving at a brisk clip of 38.3 kilometers per second. At this close distance, Green Bank can detect the faintest frequencies. It would take the telescope less than a minute to pick up something as faint as the radio waves from a cellphone. If ‘Oumuamua is sending signals, we’ll hear them.
The chance of an alien detection is, as always, small. But it’s not zero. And Milner thinks we should check—just in case—before ‘Oumuamua is gone for good. The object will pass the orbit of Jupiter next year, and by the 2020s will be hurtling beyond Pluto.
“Whether it’s artificial or not, we will definitely know more about this object,” Milner told me, in a video interview last week.
The new observations will likely be welcomed by the many astronomers who have been scratching their heads for weeks over this space rock. ‘Oumuamua seems to smash many of their predictions about fast-moving interstellar objects, and the more scientists delve into the data, the more puzzles they find.

The glint of ‘Oumuamua was first spotted by the Pan-STARRS survey telescope in Hawaii during its nightly scan of near-Earth objects like comets and asteroids. Its speed and orbit suggested the object was not bound by the sun’s gravity, and was not of this solar system.
At first, astronomers thought ‘Oumuamua must be a comet, based on decades of scientific literature that predicted its arrival. When our solar system was young, the biggest planets wreaked havoc as they swirled into shape and settled into their orbits. Their movements could jostle nearby material so violently that bits of rock and ice would go flying way out into the universe. The easiest objects to eject were those orbiting at the edge of the solar system, where escaping from the sun’s gravity would be easier. In our solar system, there are far more comets than asteroids lurking near the boundary before interstellar space. Astronomers expected these to be the first interstellar objects they saw.
And so astronomers checked ‘Oumuamua for a coma, a tail of evaporated material that trails comets as they pass near the sun and become heated up. They used telescopes that can detect a sugar cube’s worth of material flying off the object every second. But ‘Oumuamua showed no signs of a coma.
This was the first surprise of many.
Unlike the lumpy, potato-shaped asteroids of our solar system, the 400-meter-long ‘Oumuamua is perhaps 10 times as long as it is wide, an extreme aspect ratio that trumps any of the known asteroids. Astronomers don’t know how the universe could have produced an object such as this. Most natural interactions between an object and its surrounding medium favor the creation of rounded objects, Loeb said, like pebbles on a lakeshore made smooth by lapping water.
Further observations of ‘Oumuamua revealed it carried no traces of water ice, which suggests the asteroid is made of rock or perhaps metal. Whatever it is, the material is certainly sturdy. ‘Oumuamua rotates about every seven hours, a rate that would likely cause some rocky objects, nicknamed “rubble piles,” to crumble. ‘Oumuamua even survived a close pass with the sun in September, before it was detected, without breaking apart.
Thanks to its nonspherical shape, the asteroid is tumbling uncontrollably. “If you take an object that isn’t round and you throw it up in the air, it’ll make this complicated spinning motion,” said Jason Wright, an astronomer at Penn State University. “It just doesn’t just spin nicely along one axis.” Wright said a long journey across the cosmos can slow an object’s tumbling, but ‘Oumuamua has shown no signs of stopping its spinning.
“I’m not saying that any of that is necessarily a smoking gun or super exciting,” Milner said of ‘Oumuamua’s unusual properties. “But I think it warrants thorough investigation from a seti standpoint.”
Karen Meech, an astronomer at the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy whose team discovered ‘Oumuamua, has said their observations are “entirely consistent with it being a natural object.” Analysis of the light reflected by the asteroid shows ‘Oumuamua is red, a color that would be expected for rocky bodies exposed to the cosmic radiation of interstellar space for long periods of time.
There are indeed some natural explanations for some of ‘Oumuamua’s weird properties. Some astronomers say ‘Oumuamua could be a contact binary—two objects that drift closer until they touch and fuse at one end—like our solar system’s Kleopatra, a metallic, dog-bone-shaped asteroid.
They suggest any ice on the asteroid’s surface was zapped away by high-energy particles on its journey between stars. Perhaps the asteroid is so hardy because it formed in the inner regions of a solar system, where rock and metal are more commonly found than ice. This would be tricky, since most exoplanets discovered so far orbit extremely close to their parent star, preventing them from flinging debris beyond the star’s pull. But they may have siblings, like our Jupiter and Neptune, lurking in the darkness, doing the work for them.
If ‘Oumuamua has anything exciting to tell us, it’s that our understanding of planet formation needs some work, said Gregory Laughlin, an astronomer who studies exoplanets at Yale University.“We know that planetary systems are extremely common, but the way that their process unfolds seems to be richer than anticipated,” he said.

The thought of a spaceship being dropped into planetary systems like a reconnaissance mission may sound like the stuff of science fiction. But for Milner, it’s the future. Milner is spending $100 million over 10 years to develop spacecraft technology capable of sending a tiny probe hurtling at one-fifth the speed of light toward Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system to Earth. If Milner succeeds, the 25-trillion-mile trip would be cut from tens of thousands of years, based on our current technology, to a breezy 20 years. Hundreds of these miniature probes would be deployed into the darkness in the hopes that at least one might complete the journey. Perhaps another civilization already had the same idea.
If that kind of technology were available today, Milner said he would send some kind of probe after ‘Oumuamua. “We need some new propulsion technologies to be able to do this,” he said.
The possibility that ‘Oumuamua is an artificial artifact from an advanced civilization is not spoken in whispers in the astronomy community. But there’s a healthy dose of hesitation in their discussions. Scientists must, after all, exhaust every other plausible explanation before considering ET.
“It’s sometimes mentioned in a half-joking way that people say things when they’re not quite sure whether they want you to take them seriously or not,” said Ed Turner, an astrophysicist at Princeton University. He’s intrigued by a potential seti observation of ‘Oumuamua, but, like most astronomers, he’s not holding his breath.
“If you were betting your house, I wouldn’t bet it on this,” Turner said.
When they speak of ‘Oumuamua, astronomers recall the tale in Arthur C. Clarke’s 1973 novel Rendezvous with Rama. The year is 2131, and astronomers have detected a mysterious object beyond the orbit of Jupiter and classified it as an asteroid. Their observations reveal the object, named Rama, doesn’t follow the orbit of the sun and must have come from outside the solar system. They send a space probe to photograph Rama and find it’s in the shape of a perfect cylinder. A crewed mission is dispatched. When they land, humans discover the asteroid is an alien spaceship, carrying odd, machinelike beings that pay them little attention. There are no signs of the alien civilization that made them. After some tinkering, the human crew disembarks, leaving Rama to speed out of the solar system.
The story shares some tantalizing similarities with the current circumstances. The most skeptical astronomers point out that, aside from its vessel-like shape, ‘Oumuamua doesn’t have any of the characteristics one would imagine for an alien spacecraft. The object has followed an easy-to-predict trajectory through the solar system. Astronomers have accurately plotted its course forward and backward. Wouldn’t an alien spaceship travel at a fraction of the speed of light, and wouldn’t it slow down to take a look at things as it swept by?
“The explanation that this is a directed probe is, in my view, comically unlikely,” said Konstantin Batygin, a planetary astrophysicist at the California Institute of Technology. “This is just a chunk of debris. I think there’s nothing more to it than that.”
Astronomers predict many more interstellar asteroids, perhaps thousands, are coasting through our solar system, out of view of our telescopes. Pan-STARRS, a survey telescope designed to observe the entire visible sky night after night, found ‘Oumuamua after only four years of operation. Turner suspects the discovery—a fairly quick one—is not a case of pure luck, but a sign of more to come.
Some interstellar asteroids may be hiding, overlooked, in the archival data of Pan-STARRS. Many more will be spotted as other powerful survey telescopes, like the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope in Chile, come online in the next few years.
For Milner, it’s worth examining every interstellar object for signs of artificial technology. They could all be nothing more than space rocks, mindlessly plowing ahead. Or they could be the needle in the haystack. “It would be difficult to work in this field if you thought that every time you looked at something, you weren’t going to succeed,” said Andrew Siemion, the director of the Berkeley setiResearch Center who leads the center’s Breakthrough Listen Initiative.
And so, starting Wednesday at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, the Green Bank Telescope will aim at the first known interstellar object in our solar system. The telescope will observe the asteroid for 10 hours across four bands of radio frequency. The results may be made public within a matter of days.
Milner knows the odds are against him. But as he spoke from a conference table in his home, flanked by screens filled with radiant telescope images stretching from floor to ceiling, he smiled in excitement.
“If you look more, everywhere, I think chances are that eventually you will find something,” he said.
