Scientists Find Mysterious Time Crystals In Children Toys
Scientists Find Mysterious Time Crystals In Children Toys
Ok, so you’d probably ask what the heck are time crystals and what are they doing in kids’ toys?
We’d have to define first what crystals are. Crystals—ordinary crystals—are defined as being a structure made of a homogeneous solid substance having a natural geometrically regular form with symmetrically arranged plane faces.
Crystals—like quartz or even salt—are composed of atoms that are arranged in a fixed grid. These atoms don’t move around. In other words, if we take a look at a diamond, for example, we will find that the atoms are arranged in a repeating pattern through space.
However, in time crystals these laws do not apply.
Atoms inside of Time Crystals tend to oscillate. These atoms have a tendency of spinning in one direction and when exposed to electromagnetic pulses, they switch direction and spin the opposite way.
However, when that same electromagnetic pulse is irregular, this doesn’t change as time crystals seem to be locked into a particular frequency which guards their irregularity.
In other words, the pattern behind time crystals repeats in time.
CURIOUS CRYSTAL A time crystal appears in monoammonium phosphate (shown). The spins of atomic nuclei in the crystal flip at regular intervals when hit with radio waves.

Time crystals are composed of a bunch of interacting atoms that never ‘settle down’ to thermal equilibrium. They are like really cool rebel crystals.
Also dubbed DTC’s or Discrete Time Crystals, scientists at Yale discovered one made from monoammonium phosphate (MAP) crystals. Thee happen to be the crystals that kids know and love when they get them in toy kitsto grow their own crystals at home. Which is why researchers at Yale were left stumped when they detected them.
Scientists used nuclear magnetic resonance to spot the DTC’s signature in a map crystal that had been intended for an entirely different test.
“We decided to try searching for the DTC signature ourselves,” said physicist Sean Barrett, senior author on two new papers about this discovery.
“Our crystal measurements looked quite striking right off the bat. Our work suggests that the signature of a DTC could be found, in principle, by looking in a children’s crystal growing kit.”
“We realized that just finding the DTC signature didn’t necessarily prove that the system had a quantum memory of how it came to be,” said Yale graduate student Robert Blum, co-author on the studies.
“This spurred us to try a time crystal ‘echo,’ which revealed the hidden coherence, or quantum order, within the system,” added lead study author Jared Rovny, also a Yale graduate student.
“It’s too early to tell what the resolution will be for the current theory of discrete time crystals, but people will be working on this question for at least the next few years,” Barrett said.
Scientists say that one day, time crystals could be used in atomic clocks, gyroscopes, and magnetometers, among other devices.
The Sword Of Goujian, The Weapon That Challenged Time, An Oriental Excalibur
The Sword Of Goujian, The Weapon That Challenged Time, An Oriental Excalibur
Despite having been crafted more than 2,000 years ago, the Goujian sword has a sharp blade, as sharp as the day it was crafted, and shows no signs of tarnish. Such resistance to tarnish rarely seen in artifacts so old.
In 1965 an archaeological expedition fifty tombs belonging to the period of the Springs and Autumns (722 to 481 BC) in China’s Hubei Province, located around 7 kilometers from the ruins of Jinan, capital of the former state of Chu.
In one of those tombs, next to the skeletal remains of a man, researchers discovered an ancient sword whose structure and sharpness had not been altered despite being crafted more than two thousand years ago.
At the archeological site, experts recovered more than 2,000.
The sword, which is currently housed in the Hubei Provincial Museum, was carefully sheltered in a virtually airtight lacquered wooden box.
The sword measures 55.6 cm long and weighs 875 grams.
The sheet is manufactured with an alloy of copper and tin, decorated with blue and turquoise crystals and covered with millenary ideograms.
The hilt of the sword is wrapped in silk moorings while the knob is formed by 11 concentric circles.
Experts in traditional Chinese language eventually analyzed the inscriptions of the sword and translated their symbols.
The researchers concluded that the sword was forged by King Goujian (496 – 465 BC), and called it the Goujian Sword, the ancient weapon that defied time.
The ancient sword was unlike anything experts had seen.
The weapon did not have a single trace of rust, something that experts found hard to believe.
Incredibly, the sword’s blade, despite the time that had gone by, managed to cut the archaeologist’s finger as he tested the sharpness of the sword, upon finding it.
However, in addition to being a weapon that seemed to have been crafted recently, with unprecedented quality, its extremely intricate decoration features turned it into one of the most unique swords ever discovered in China.
The ancient sword is a treasure of ancient Chinese history.
In fact, some scholars even compare the Goujian Sword to the legendary Excalibur, believed to have been the sword of King Arthur.
After careful studies, experts quickly noted that the enigmatic sword belongs to a class of swords known as Jian: straight, double-edged swords, used in China for the last 2,500 years.
These weapons are considered as the oldest swords in China and are closely associated with their rich and plentiful mythology.
In Chinese folklore, this weapon is called the “Knight of the Arms” and is one of the four primary weapons, along with the stick, the spear, and the saber.
Why the sword remains sharp despite the fact that it had been forged more than 2,000 years ago remains a mystery, but experts point to the weapons composition, claiming that it remained in such an impeccable state thanks to the metals with which it was made, which allowed it to stay so well preserved.
Studies have revealed that a high proportion of sulfur and copper sulfide have allowed the sword to remain stainless.
The weapon is made according to a millenarian tradition of Chinese blacksmiths.
Its owner, King Goujian was the ruler of the Kingdom of Yue (present-day northern Zhejiang) near the end of the Spring and Autumn period. Goujian’s reign coincided with arguably the last major conflict of the Spring and Autumn period, the struggle between Wu and Yue, wherein he eventually led his state to victory, annexing the rival. As such, King Goujian is sometimes considered the last of the Five Hegemons.
Ancient, Exiled Asteroid Discovered Beyond Neptune
Ancient, Exiled Asteroid Discovered Beyond Neptune
By Chelsea Gohd, Space.com Staff Writer
Astronomers have spotted a carbon-rich asteroid in the icy region beyond Neptune called the Kuiper Belt — the first such asteroid ever found exiled from the inner solar system.
This asteroid, known as 2004 EW95, likely formed in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter but was soon hurled out into the Kuiper Belt, according to a statement released today (May 9) by the European Southern Observatory (ESO). This ancient, exiled rock from the solar system's primordial days provides unprecedented evidence of what that early time was really like, researchers said in the statement.
The early solar system was far more chaotic than it is today. Theoretical models predict that, during this time, objects were flung from the inner solar system to far-off distant orbits, according to the statement. These theories also dictate that the Kuiper Belt should contain objects like carbon-rich, or C-type, asteroids. [The Asteroid Belt Explained: Space Rocks by the Millions (Infographic)]
Previously, objects that originated in the inner solar system have been found far out in the solar system — discoveries that have supported these theoretical models. But although "there have been previous reports of other 'atypical' Kuiper Belt Object spectra" — indicating the objects were made of substances not normally found in the region — none were confirmed to the level of quality of 2004 EW95, Olivier Hainaut, an ESO astronomer who was not part of the team, said in the statement.
This is the first time that a C-type asteroid has been concretely observed as far as the Kuiper Belt, according to the statement. This finding is some of the best evidence thus far of the theorized early solar system activity.
Wesley Fraser, an astronomer at Queen's University Belfast in the U.K., first noticed the asteroid during routine observations with the Hubble Space Telescope. The exiled asteroid was visible because of its unique reflectance spectrum, a pattern of wavelengths of light reflected from an object. Because the spectrum was not typical for objects observed in this region," it looked enough of a weirdo for us to take a closer look," said Tom Seccull, a researcher at Queen's University Belfast and the lead author of a new paper that explains these findings.
Seccull and his team observed 2004 EW95using the X-Shooter and FORS2 spectrographs on the ESO's VeryLarge Telescope (VLT), and despite the sensitivity of these instruments, the team had great difficulty gathering data from the asteroid. "It's like observing a giant mountain of coal against the pitch-black canvas of the night sky,"co-author Thomas Puzia, a researcher at the Institute of Astrophysics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, said in the statement.
Despite the challenges of studying the dark, faint, moving object, the team was able to extract sufficient data using an advanced data processing technique, according to the statement.
"The discovery of a carbonaceous asteroid in the Kuiper Belt is a key verification of one of the fundamental predictions of dynamical models of the early Solar System," Hainaut said. This finding is a critical step towards better understanding our early solar system, he added.
ERIC DAVIS, PHYSICIST, EXPLAINS WHY SCIENTISTS WON’T DISCUSS THEIR UFO INTERESTS
ERIC DAVIS, PHYSICIST, EXPLAINS WHY SCIENTISTS WON’T DISCUSS THEIR UFO INTERESTS
For a very long time, the scientific community has been wary of studying UFOs, and the scientists themselves hesitate to talk about their beliefs of unexplained aerial phenomena
But that attitude is changing, and many scientists are joining the discussion without fear of ridicule.
“UFOs are real phenomena. They are artificial objects under intelligent control. They’re definitely the craft of a supremely advanced technology,” says physicist Eric Davis, a researcher of light-speed travel.
Davis, a research physicist at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Austin, studies propulsion physics, which he hopes will one day allow humans to travel easily and quickly through our galactic neighborhood.
VIDEO: Eric Davis explains how humans will be able to travel through space at faster-than-light speed.
He’s aware of the public perception — mostly from skeptics and debunkers — that no legitimate scientists would ever touch the subject of UFOs.
“They’re wrong, naive, stubborn, narrow-minded, afraid and fearful. It’s a dirty word and a forbidden topic. Science is about open-minded inquiry. You shouldn’t be laughing off people. You should show more deference and respect to them … Scientists need to get back to using the scientific method to study things that are unknown and unusual, and the UFO subject is one of them.”
Davis is one of several scientists who are presenting their views this weekend on a variety of UFO-related topics at the 2013 MUFON Symposium in Las Vegas.
The physicist, who recently won an award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics for his study, “Faster-Than-Light Space Warps, Status and Next Steps,” knows many colleagues who quietly study UFOs.
“There are scientists who are aware of evidence and observational data that is not refutable. It is absolutely corroborated, using forensic techniques and methodology. But they won’t come out and publicize that because they fear it. Not the subject — they fear the backlash from their professional colleagues. The impact on their career might be detrimental and they’d get bad publicity.
“It’s not an acceptable, funded line of research. The National Science Foundation does not accept UFOs as a subject for scientific study.”
It may come as a surprise that many scientists have been interested in UFOs for decades.
For 20 years, astronomer J. Allen Hynek was the U.S. Air Force scientific consultant on UFOs during its famous Project Blue Book UFO study that ended in 1969.
Watch this 1977 video of Hynek talking about astronomers and UFOs.
” Davis believes that the domain for UFO investigations doesn’t really belong in the hands of scientists.
“It’s the domain of military intelligence,” he suggests. “The fact that [unknown] craft are flying around Earth is not a subject for science — it’s a subject for intelligence-gathering, collection and analysis. That’s because UFOs are not a natural phenomenon, and that’s what science studies.”
Breakthrough Listen Launches New Search for E.T. Across Millions of Stars
Breakthrough Listen Launches New Search for E.T. Across Millions of Stars
By Chelsea Gohd, Space.com Staff Writer
Breakthrough Listen, a $100 million project designed to seek out potential signals from intelligent extraterrestrial life, took a giant leap forward Monday (May 7) with a new campaign to search for life in the cosmos faster than ever before.
Using the Parkes radio telescope in New South Wales, Australia, Breakthrough Listen will scan millions of stars in the Milky Way's galactic plane over the next 60 days. This will allow researchers to survey a greater area of the galaxy more quickly, which will increase their chances of finding signals of interest.
The Parkes telescope (which is operated by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, or CSIRO) has a new "multibeam" receiverwhich uses 13 beams to observe large pieces of sky, Breakthrough Listen representatives said in a statement. [13 Ways to Search for Intelligent Aliens]
"With these new capabilities we are scanning our galaxy in unprecedented detail," Parkes project scientist Danny Price of the University of California, Berkeley, said in the statement." By trawling through these huge datasets for signatures of technological civilizations, we hope to uncover evidence that our planet, among the hundreds of billions in our galaxy, is not the only where intelligent life has arisen."
The Breakthrough Listen initiative was started in 2016 by entrepreneur Yuri Milner and astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (who died in March) to use instruments like the Parkes radio telescope to survey the Milky Way's galactic plane, along with nearby galaxies. The initiative's main goal is to find evidence of intelligent, technologically capable life beyond Earth.
Using radio surveys with instruments like Parkes, scientists aim to distinguish between human-made signals and "signals of interest," or signals whose origins could be extraterrestrial.
The new Parkes campaign will continue Breakthrough Listen's search at a whopping 130 gigabits per second — bandwidth that your laptop could only dream about. In addition to increasing the speed and scope of the search, the new multibeam receiverwill also give scientists the ability to better distinguish between signals of interest and human-made signals, such as radio interference from airplanes, cellphones and satellites.
During the new 60-day campaign, the Parkes telescope will spend 1,500 hours listening for extraterrestrial signals. Scientists will then sift through the resulting mountain of data for any true signals.
Most of the signals observed will be human-created radio frequency interference (RFI), or signals from technologies like cellphones, satellites, and airplanes, but scientists are hoping that within this sea of data lie signals of interest, according to Breakthrough Listen.
Researchers are especially interested in locating fast radio bursts (FRBs). These quick and vibrant radio pulses have intrigued scientists for years, as they are both unusual and certainly extragalactic. FRBs have mysterious, far-off origins — the closest observed FRB was 1.6 billion light-years away. There is no evidence of the alien involvement in FRBs, but they do originate from sources with extremely powerful magnetic fields, according to Breakthrough Listen.
Previously unseen documents reveal how officials at the U.K.'s Ministry of Defence handled the 'UFO mania' of the late 1990s.
The truth is out there … and it’s not from another planet. Previously unseen documents reveal how officials at the U.K.’s Ministry of Defence handled the “UFO mania” of the late 1990s.
In 1997, there was massive spike in interest around UFOs, fueled by the 50th anniversary of the purported UFO incident in Roswell, NM. and the global popularity of the “X-Files” TV series.
Set against this backdrop, over-worked officials at the Ministry of Defence sought to cut their commitment to investigating UFO reports, the Guardian reports.
The documents were obtained from the MoD by Dr. David Clarke, a principal research fellow at the U.K’s Sheffield Hallam University. “The new papers show the UFO desk head in 1997 ‘wanted to get rid of’ an issue they considered a ‘diversion from their main duties’,” Clarke wrote in a blog post. “Within the files civil servants, intelligence officers and military staff debate how the British Government should respond to growing public interest in the phenomena and what they called ‘the media’s obsession with UFOs’.”
The UFO documents
(Dr David Clarke/Sheffield Hallam University)
The files run to more than 2,500 pages and some of the more sensitive papers, declassified from “secret,” are heavily redacted, according to Clarke. “What has survived the censor’s pen paints a fascinating picture of the arguments that raged behind closed doors in Whitehall around the 50th anniversary of the UFO mystery in 1997,” he wrote.
One RAF Wing Commander, for example, urged caution on shifting focus away from UFOs. “He argued that as MoD had not carried out any study of the UFO data they had collected since the 1970s it was not credible – and also politically risky – to continue to claim UFOs posed no ‘threat to the realm’,” Clarke explained.
In 1996, the MoD commissioned a defense contractor to produce a comprehensive report on UFO sightings, which were carefully described as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).
The report, which analyzed a database of sightings between 1987 and 1997, was delivered in 2000. The study duly found that most sightings could be explained by a range of known phenomena, both natural and man-made.
This opened the door for the MoD to start scaling back its UFO-related operations. The DI55 department, which had secretly collected data on potential UFO sightings since 1967, closed at the end of 2000. The MoD’s UFO Desk closed in 2009.
It appears, however, that the writing was already on the wall for the MoD’s UFO operations long before the report was finished. In a document dated April 16 1998, the report’s author writes: “I am particularly looking ahead to my expected recommendation, that DI55 should no longer be involved in UAP monitoring.”
“It was the end-game,” Clarke told Fox News. “They created a definitive study that would draw a line under their involvement in the subject.”
The academic notes that in 1997 MoD officials were clearly swamped with reports of UFO sightings. At that time, the Ministry even had a UFO hotline that members of the public could call. “The workload on the subject had trebled as a result of what was going on in popular culture,” he said.
“All our historic files which refer to UFOs have either been released, or are in the process of being released to The National Archives,” explained the MoD, in a statement emailed to Fox News. “The MoD continues to have no opinion on the existence, or otherwise, of extra-terrestrial life and does not investigate reported unidentified flying object sightings.”
New research suggests that as great land plates began to shift and move on Earth’s surface, our world became what geologists call a Snowball Earth.
Artist’s concept of a Snowball Earth, via MIT/Space.com.
About 700 million years ago, the Earth is known to have undergone a period of climate change that sent the planet into a deep freeze. The freeze, lasting millions of years, is what geologists now refer to as the Snowball Earth period. Several theories have been proposed to explain what might have triggered this dramatic cool-down, which occurred during a geological era called the Neoproterozoic. A new study suggests that those major climate changes can be linked to one thing: the advent of plate tectonics.
The theory of plate tectonics states that the Earth’s crust and upper mantle – a layer called the lithosphere – is broken into moving pieces, or plates. Today’s scientists measure the movement of these plates and know they move very slowly, about as fast as your fingernails and hair grow. Plate tectonics on Earth – the grinding, slipping and sliding of land plates with respect to each other – produces earthquakes and volcanoes and, over time, great geologic features like mountain ranges.
The study researchers – Robert Stern at the University of Texas/Dallas and Nathaniel Miller of the University of Texas at Austin – said they expect their hypothesis to generate controversy. That’s because geologists usually place the start of plate tectonics at least 3 billion years ago, while their new hypothesis puts the process during the Neoproterozoic, about 542 million to 1 billion years ago.
According to Miller and Stern, there are a variety of traces in the geologic record that could be consistent with plate tectonics not getting started until the Neoproterozoic – around the same time as the era of the Snowball Earth. The researchers examined a suite of published scientific data on the geological activity during the Neoproterozoic and found many links between plate tectonics and a cooling world.
Their study, published in the April 2018 edition of the journal Terra Nova, lists 22 proposed ways plate tectonic activity could have brought about the global cooling that caused the Earth to be covered pole-to-pole with ice. The researchers mention explosive volcanoes cooling the planet by releasing sulfur into the atmosphere; the shifting of the plates changing the planet’s rotational axis; and increased rock weathering pulling CO2 — a greenhouse gas — out of the atmosphere and back into the Earth. Stern said:
This climate crisis could have been caused by a number of proximal causes, but the overall great cause was this revolution in Earth’s tectonic style.
The authors note that the geologic interval preceding the Neoproterozoic shows a lack of geological activity — a feature that has it earned it the nickname the Boring Billion.
In the study, they considered possible non-tectonic reasons for cooling that came from space — in other words, causes that don’t agree with their theory. These range from asteroid impacts to the collapse of ice rings that could have formed around Earth. If these were the cause of Snowball Earth, Stern and Miller’s theory falls apart — but the researchers say there’s not much evidence to support these triggers.
As usual, the authors say, more research is needed to test the link between the dawn of plate tectonics and Snowball Earth. They hope that this research will lead other geoscientists to consider the evidence and test the hypothesis. Stern said:
Revolutions in our field don’t happen often or very easily. You plant ideas and then you go and look for more data that either supports them or refutes them.
During the Snowball Earth phase, our world might have resembled this one, Enceladus, a snow-and-ice-covered moon of Saturn.

Bottom line: A new study suggests that the dawn of plate tectonics could have been responsible for Snowball Earth.
Kilauea is one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Here are images and video from its ongoing eruption in Hawaii.
NASA’s Terra satellite acquired this image on May 6, 2018. Massive sulfur dioxide plumes from Kilauea volcano are shown here in yellow and green. A smaller, but thicker, sulfur dioxide gas plume can be seen coming from Kilauea. The prevailing trade winds blow the plumes to the southwest, out over the ocean.

Lava and sulfur dioxide gas are continuing to spew from Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island, where flows of lava across a rural neighborhood have caused evacuations. By late Tuesday (May 8, 2018), some 104 acres were covered by lava. Hawaii Civil Defense said that 35 structures — including at least 26 homes — had been destroyed.
A total of 12 volcanic fissures had formed as of late Tuesday. Residents were voicing frustration and anxiety against a backdrop of flowing lava and hazardous fumes.
Videographer Mick Kalber was on the ground in Leilani Estates on May 5, where he told captured the dramatic video above and told this story:
This is a killer video! And may be one of the last ground level shots I’ll be able to get before I have to evacuate … After all the lava drained out of the Pu’u ‘O’o Vent (the main vent of the 35 year long current eruption) last Monday [April 30, 2018], the contents moved down the East rift zone, causing hundreds of earthquakes as far away as Kapoho, some 15 miles downslope. All week, a new eruption had been forecast … cracks appeared on roadways, as the Earth began to swell. And then, on Thursday afternoon [May 3, 2018], Pele (the Volcano Goddess) made her appearance in the lower part of Leilani Estates Subdivision. At first, fountains of lava shot up into the air … but within a few hours, she had settled down into a lava flow that now threatens dozens of nearby homes, and a geothermal power plant just a quarter mile downslope. That flow has now stopped… but several more continue to pop out nearby. I live in the subdivision, and we are continually experiencing rolling earthquakes … it ain’t over till it’s over!
Meanwhile, the video below, also from Mick Kalber, shows the view from the air:
The eruptive activity began on April 30, 2018, when the floor of Kilauea’s crater began to collapse. Earthquakes followed, including one that measured magnitude +6.9, a very strong earthquake. All the while, lava was being pushed into new underground areas that eventually broke through the ground in such areas as the Leilani Estates (population 1,560 at the 2010 census) near the town of Pahoa, Hawaii.
Evacuations in Leilani Estates began on May 4.
The USGS is doing a good job following the volcano on Twitter.
This video of Halema‘uma‘u lava lake from May 7 shows the agitated lake surface caused by intermittent rock falls. On May 6 the lake level was about 220 m (240 yards) below the crater rim and it continues to drop. #KilaueaErupts#usgs#hvo#hawaiianvolcanoobservatory#kilauea
Kilauea is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and it’s the youngest and southeastern-most volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island. Eruptive activity along the East Rift Zone has been continuous since 1983.
Bottom line: Images from the May 2018 eruption of Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island.
Aliens Or Demons? Pentagon And MoD Officials Feared UFOs Were Works Of The Devil
Aliens Or Demons? Pentagon And MoD Officials Feared UFOs Were Works Of The Devil
So are aliens demons? Are UFOs the result of ‘divine’ forces? According to new claims, Pentagon and MoD officials feared UFOs were either ‘demonic’ or sent by God, former UFO researchers reveal.
Researchers who carried out the UFO programs of the Pentagon and the British Ministry of Defense were hampered by alleged religious beliefs.
Demons, not Aliens?
The United States has—or better said had—a mysterious program dedicated to studying UFO sightings, financed with 22 million dollars per year.
Luis Elizondo, a former member of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), revealed this information a few months ago. Elizondo has now claimed that several high-ranking officials undermined his work in the belief that unidentified flying objects had a ‘demonic’ or ‘divine’ origin.
The purpose of the so-called Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was to research and study flying foreign weapon threats. Many of the reports included details of pilots, who encountered a number of unidentified flying objects which were also later confirmed on radar.
UFO’s, a divine technology?
“What we found many times was the fact that the aircraft did not belong to anybody,” Elizondo said.
Sometimes, he added, the flying objects displayed behavior the AATIP team couldn’t explain.
Halfway around the world in the UK, Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense (MoD), has confirmed what Elizondo said.
“I was aware that Pentagon pushback on UFO research was in part due to the religious belief of some of those involved,” he revealed.
“It was an odd irony that UFO investigations were being hampered because some people’s belief in God meant that they either didn’t believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life or that they regarded UFOs and extraterrestrials as demonic.”
It is not surprising that religion often gets in the way of UFO research.
“Religious people often do not believe in the existence of extraterrestrials or characterize them as demons. This seems to be rooted in Satan’s biblical description as “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2: 2), “he added.
“Luis Elizondo says he opposed the religious beliefs of the top brass ruining their investigations while working for the Pentagon. I can say that I have seen evidence of the same in the MoD, “he concludes.
Not long ago, a spokesman of the Department of Defense within the Pentagon itself confirmed the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program had shut down in 2012. However, the New York Times has exposed that this work may still be operational in some capacity.
SCIENTISTS MAY HAVE DISCOVERED THE FIRST METEORITE FROM MERCURY
SCIENTISTS MAY HAVE DISCOVERED THE FIRST METEORITE FROM MERCURY
When dynamicists run the numbers, it’s at least statistically possible that meteorites should fall to Earth from all over the inner solar system — even from Mercury.
So, spurred by the Messenger orbiter’s close scrutiny of Mercury’s surface, the hunt has been on to find meteorites from the innermost planet. All previous candidates (called angrites and aubrites) are close but imperfect matches to the unique composition found by Messenger on Mercury’s surface: dark igneous rock enriched in magnesium but virtually free of iron.
Now, finally, they might have one in hand.
Weighing just a bit more than 100 g, this is the largest fragment of the meteorite NWA 7325. Note the amazing light-green color of its fusion crust — one of many characteristics hinting that it might be from the planet Mercury. The cube at right is 1 cm square. Click here for a larger view. Stefan Ralew / sr-meteorites.de
The new Moroccan find is now officially known as Northwest Africa 7325. Ralew sent samples to the laboratory of Anthony Irving (University of Washington), well known for his expertise with unusual meteorites from the Moon, Mars, and elsewhere.Last April, German meteorite dealer Stefan Ralew bought a clutch of 35 small meteorites that had been found a few months earlier in the Moroccan desert. The fragments from a single fall totaled about 12 ounces (354 g). Right away he could see that they were unusual: Their fusion crust, created by flash heating while decelerating in Earth’s atmosphere, was greenish. This was especially evident in the largest, golfball-size piece, weighing just over 100 g. “Green and glassy fusion crusts are known from a few lunar meteorites,” Ralew explains, “but they all don´t have an extreme color as this one.”
The stones’ interiors are full of relatively large and obvious crystals, suggesting that the magma from which they solidified had cooled slowly. The stunning emerald-green color comes from a silicate mineral called diopside that’s infused with chromium. Irving and his team found lots of magnesium and calcium in the suite of silicate minerals, but even more important is what they didn’t find: there’s virtually no iron.
Irving, who’ll present his team’s findings at a planetary-science conference next month, is trying to keep his enthusiasm in check. “NWA 7325 is tantalizing, and certainly more consistent with the Messenger results than either angrites or aubrites,” he explains, “but we need a [spacecraft-returned sample] for ‘ground truth’.”
A polished cut surface of the meteorite NWA 7325 reveals green crystals of the silicate mineral diopside (colored by chromium ions). This meteorite contains abundant magnesium and calcium yet almost no iron — hallmarks of what geochemists believe rocks from Mercury should be like. The cube is 1cm tall. Click here for a larger view. Stefan Ralew / sr-meteorites.de
Shoshana Weider (Carnegie Institution of Washington), who’s spent years studying Messenger’s spectra of Mercury, likewise offers a cautionary note. The planet’s surface seems to be rich in the silicate mineral enstatite, which is not obvious in NWA 7325. Also, there shouldn’t be so much calcium. To explain these discrepancies, she and Irving agree that meteorite might have been a deeply buried rock — well below the surface — before a powerful collision sent it flying off into interplanetary space.
There are still many unknowns about these weirdly green space rocks. Tests are under way to determine how long ago they crystallized and how long they were exposed to cosmic rays as they drifted in space before reaching Earth.
One way to zero in on planetary paternity would be to see if NWA 7325 exhibits remanent magnetism. After all, Mercury has a robust magnetic field that would have been imprinted on any rock as it crystallized. (That said, possible complications might arise from the shock-heating these rocks experienced as they were being ejected into space, or from the strong magnets that Moroccan nomads use when searching for meteorites in the desert.)
A second approach would be to see if the meteorite’s ratios of three magnesium isotopes match what Messenger’s gamma-ray spectrometer is seeing on Mercury. It’s a challenging observation, explains Patrick Peplowski (Applied Physics Laboratory), because the GRS has a magnesium housing. “There does exist the potential to detect different magnesium isotopes, but I expect that the errors on any resulting isotopic ratios would be at the ~5% level,” Peplowski says. “I suspect that this is larger than would be needed to compare to NWA 7325, but I’m not sure.”
(One problem with using magnesium isotopes is that their ratios don’t vary much from place to place in the solar system.)
Finally, researchers could melt one of the NWA 7325 stones and then let it cool and recrystallize under controlled conditions, to see how closely the result mimics Mercury’s surface composition. “A lot of scientists will want to get their hands on this,” Weider notes.
However, anyone wanting a piece big enough to melt down will likely have to get in line. So far Ralew has donated less than 1 ounce of NWA 7325 for scientific analysis, and he’s got the rest. It’s not inconceivable that bits of this unique find could fetch $5,000 per gram on the sometimes-frenzied meteorite market. For now, at least, he’s holding off offering any of it for sale, to give researchers the chance to run the entire gamut of analytical tests.
“If this rock isn’t from Mercury, it’s still amazing,” Irving notes. It’s from a planet, he says — we just need to figure out which one.

Beware ‘Demonic' Aliens: UFO Probes in US, UK Hampered by Religious Fears
Beware ‘Demonic' Aliens: UFO Probes in US, UK Hampered by Religious Fears
Though it was officially announced in 2012 that the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a secret US Defense Intelligence Agency program that studied UFOs, was shuttered over budget pressures, it has since been revealed that its closure had more to do with senior officials and their religious beliefs.
Speaking with Las Vegas Now on Friday, Luis Elizondo, a former intelligence officer with knowledge on the matter, explained that senior officials pushed back on the secret program over concerns that the study would become an embarrassment for the department and because it conflicted with their religious beliefs.
Elizondo, who previously spoke out about the five-year-old program to the New York Times in December 2017, stressed that though the government's funding ended in 2012, the study continues as officials from the US Navy and the CIA offered resources to further the program. It is speculated that the program is still active, just through private funding.
"There were other folks related to our efforts," Elizondo told Las Vegas Now. "It is a confederated approach so you had folks in the Navy, in DIA [the Defence Intelligence Agency], in pockets here and there. We worked collectively."
But Elizondo isn't the only official spilling the beans on secret government programs investigating UFOs.
Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator with the UK's Ministry of Defense, told the Metro UK that he, too, encountered pushback.
"I was aware that Pentagon pushback on UFO research was in part due to the religious belief of some of those involved," Pope told the outlet. "It was an odd irony that UFO investigations were being hampered because some people's belief in God meant that they either didn't believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life or that they regarded UFOs and extraterrestrials as demonic."
"The fact that some people regard UFOs as demonic seems to have its roots in the biblical description of Satan as being ‘the prince of the power of the air' from Ephesians 2:2. Luis Elizondo says that he came up against religious pushback from senior staff when he ran the Pentagon's UFO program and I saw some evidence of this at the MoD too," Pope added.
Prior to the Metro UK's revelation Tuesday, the Guardian published an article Sunday showing that talks were going on inside the Ministry of Defense regarding the UK's UFO investigations dating back to the late 1990s.
Messages obtained by the publication stated that investigations should focus "on the possible threat to the UK [from foreign hostile powers] and technology acquisition" rather than "X-Files activities such as alien abductions."
Another memo goes on to add that inquiries "shouldn't be driven by a UFO thesis."
David Clarke, a research fellow at Sheffield Hallam University who obtained the files from the ministry following a freedom of information request, told The Guardian that UK officials have only "encouraged conspiracy theorists through their own paranoia."
"They always say that the public gets the wrong idea about UFOs, but they've actually encouraged that themselves by destroying the files," Clarke said, noting that the UK government had destroyed files they'd collected on the topic of UFOs over the years.
After deciding that staff could be better used elsewhere, The Guardian reported that the Ministry of Defense closed its UFO desk in 2009. This was the same reason that US officials cited when revealing that their official investigation into UFOs had concluded.

‘Duivelse’ aliens?
(Natural News) Telling the truth about a scandal that hasn’t been approved by the legacy media and their owners often yields a predictable result: You’ll be labeled a conspiracy theorist — even when there is plenty of evidence to support the truth. Comfortable lies may help some people sleep at night, but the truth is that many supposed “conspiracy theories” are actually real, and are supported by science. Who would have thought? Here are five truths that are widely misrepresented as conspiracy theories, and the evidence which supports them:
1. Atrazine disrupts, damages the endocrine system
Atrazine is on the fast-track to becoming one of the most widely used pesticides in the United States. And because of this, there is a high amount of it in groundwater. It is consistently detected in public water supplies — which in and of itself is really quite concerning. But when the profound potential for this toxic chemical to spur endocrine disruption is taken into account, atrazine becomes downright frightening.
Research led by Dr. Tyrone Hayes, a scientist from the University of California at Berkeley, has shown that in frogs, atrazine is capable of causing lasting endocrine damage. In males, the disruption to endocrine function can be so severe that it results in chemical castration. In one study, Hayes exposed 40 tadpoles to water tainted with atrazine, at a concentration of 2.5 parts per billion — well within the EPA’s allotment for drinking water.
Nearly one-tenth of the tadpoles that were reared in the atrazine-laden water became “functionally female,” according to Hayes. Despite reportedly being born male, they ended up producing eggs.
And as sources report, “After being exposed to atrazine, many of the 36 male-presenting frogs reportedly showed decreased testosterone, reduced breeding gland size, poor laryngeal development, suppressed mating behavior, and reduced fertility. Similar effects have been seen in other amphibious creatures.”
Studies from Purdue University and other esteemed research teams have found similar results regarding atrazine’s potential to disrupt the endocrine system — even at amounts regarded by federal agencies as “safe.” Indeed, it would seem they are emphatically notsafe. Perhaps that’s why Europe banned atrazine. So, why is it still used in the U.S.?
2. Cellphones cause brain tumors
Is this really that far-fetched? That cellphones produce radiation is well established at this point — as is radiation’s connection to cancer. It’s often reported that because cellphones produce a different type of radiation (compared to say, nuclear radiation), it poses no health risk. But numerous scientific studies have said otherwise. Indeed, the risk of cellphone use is widely under-reported.
Recently, research again implicated cellphones as a player in the cancer-causing game: This time, mobile devices were linked to brain and heart tumors. In a study of rats, exposure to radio frequency radiation produced by cellphones led to the onset of a few different types of cancer — including rare Schwann cell tumors in the brain and heart.
At a 2016 conference, one doctor bravely declared that the potential for cellphones to cause cancer was obvious. “The weight of the evidence is clear: Cell phones do cause brain cancer,” stated Dr. Devra Davis, president of the Environmental Health Trust. Children are particularly susceptible to the woes of cellphones, and Davis contended further that pregnant women should be especially careful about their cellphone use and storage. “Keep the phone away from the abdomen — especially toward the end of pregnancy,” she cautioned.
There have been multiple warnings about the threat of cancer posed by cellphones, but many refuse to acknowledge the science that backs it up.
3. Chemtrails and geoengineering are real
Mentioning the word “chemtrails” is a great way to earn the scorn of mainstream media pundits and their ilk. But a quick search of the term “geoengineering” yields a number of results — including a Geoengineering program at University of Oxford. The program page notes that stratospheric aerosols (more commonly known as chemtrails) are one tool of choice in the geoengineering industry.
There are many reports on the facts about geoengineering efforts. While there are many facets to the geoengineering scheme, chemtrails have long been one of the most easily visible tactics — and also the most denied. According to the U.S. government’s own records, aerosol spraying efforts have been underway for decades. Even NASA has reportedly admitted to spraying lithium into the atmosphere. And in 2017, an EPA scientist was fired for sounding the alarm on the dangers of spraying aluminum into the atmosphere.
These efforts may be an attempt at controlling the climate — but as many have warned, geoengineering may come with a hefty price.
The mass fluoridation of the American people is probably one of the greatest shams of all time. First and foremost, there is no evidence to support the claim that fluoride consumption prevents cavities. Fluoride is not an essential nutrient (quite the opposite, really) and it is not necessary for human health in any way, shape or form.
But it’s not just “nonessential,” this compound is actually quite dangerous to human health — especially when it comes to the health of your brain. Nearly 60 studies have reported a link between fluoride consumption and a reduction in IQ.
Water fluoridation has also been linked other health problems, like bone loss, cancer, and negative effects on the immune system, thyroid and pineal gland. Many have likened the fluoridation of public water supplies to mass medication, especially given fluoride’s link to lower IQs in children and other neurological impairments. Even research from Harvard University has shown this potential for harm.
There is no shortage of reasons to end water fluoridation, but mainstream media and their keepers surely don’t want you to know about that.
5. Vaccines contain mercury, aborted fetal cells and other hazardous ingredients
Last but certainly not least is perhaps the most widely contested truth of all: Vaccines are a veritable cocktail of unsavory ingredients. From thimerosal in flu shots to aluminum adjuvants to human diploid cells from fetal tissue, there’s no shortage of things to be disgusted with when it comes to vaccines — or the vaccine industry’s propaganda, for that matter.
Despite media attempts at misinforming the public, the FDA admits that some vaccines still contain thimerosal as a preservative — and some vaccine-makers still use thimerosal as part of their “manufacturing process.”
As the FDA itself notes, thimerosal is 50 percent mercury by weight — and a thimerosal-containing vaccine will deliver a 25-microgram dose of mercury to its recipients that are over the age of three. Children under three get a half-dose, which means they’re still being injected with over 12 micrograms of mercury. This may not sound like a lot, but as Trace Amounts explains — that is more than enough to do harm. A child would have to weigh 550 pounds to safely withstand a 25-microgram dose of mercury. Mercury is a toxic heavy metal with no currently identified safe level of exposure. It does not belong in any vaccine, whether it’s being labeled as “preservative” or a “manufacturing process” agent.
Mike Adams, founder of Natural News and Director of CWC Labs, has repeatedly broken stories about the presence of other detestable vaccine ingredients. In 2017, the Health Ranger revealed that the chicken pox vaccine was made with human embryonic lung cell cultures and human diploid cell cultures, among other crazy things like guinea pig cells — information he pulled from the CDC’s own website.
Sadly, the list of scandalous ingredients in vaccines doesn’t end there; there are many parts to a vaccine cocktail, and none of them sound like anything you’d want injected into your body.

As someone who has worked in radio and as a writer, the passing this spring of two legends in those fields is a time for respect and reflection. Last month, the paranormal world lost broadcaster Art Bell and today we learned of the passing of prolific paranormal author Brad Steiger.

Obituary for Brad E Steiger
Brad Steiger, 82, of Mason City, IA, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of Brad E Steiger, please visit our Tribute Store.
“The Strange World of Brad Steiger” (a syndicated newspaper column he wrote in the early 1970s) began in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on February 19, 1936. Born Eugene E. Olson, he was a typical Iowa farm boy until August of 1947 when a severe farm equipment accident gave him a near-death experience that altered the directions of his religion, his career ambitions and his life. While he recovered physically, everything else seemed to have changed. In an interview with the Des Moines Register, Steiger gave an example:
“Among my earliest memories are the man and the woman who would walk into my bedroom at night and stand at my bedside, looking down at me.”
He believed that couple was his great-grandparents who had lived in the house.
Steiger left the farm after college to teach English at a high school and then journalism and creative writing at Luther College, his alma mater. Fortunately for the world, he wrote in his spare time and a published biography of silent movie star Rudolph Valentino and his interest in the paranormal drew him into the field and led to his first book contracts, starting with Ghosts, Ghouls and Other Peculiar People, published in 1965. When he quit teaching to write full-time, a woman gave him his pen name, which she said meant “to one who guides others to higher awareness” (possibly from the Dutch meaning of ‘steiger’ which is ‘scaffolding’). Steiger always believed that he was one to be guided as well.
“We are all spiritual beings. The paranormal is just part of the world we all share but do not fully comprehend.”
One area where he needed no guidance was writing. In his long career he penned over 2,000 articles on paranormal subjects and authored or co-authored over 175 books, both fiction and non-fiction, which have sold 17 million copies. Everyone’s list of Steiger favorites will be different, but they’re sure to include such popular titles as “Mysteries of Time and Space”, “Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits and Haunted Places”, “Conspiracies and Secret Societies: The Complete Dossier”, “Project Bluebook”, “The Rainbow Conspiracy” and many more. Don’t forget “The Source: Journey Through the Unexplained,”which he co-authored with none other than Art Bell, and “Four-legged Miracles: Heartwarming Tales of Lost Dogs’ Journeys Home” which he wrote with his second wife and spiritual companion, Sherry Hansen Steiger.
With his many books and articles and accompanying appearances on paranormal radio shows and podcasts, Steiger attracted countless fans, widespread admiration and, of course, some criticism. That comes with the territory when the territory includes Atlantis, giant humans, ancient aliens and numerous other controversial paranormal topics that Brad wrote and talked about.
Brad Steiger will surely be missed by Sherry, their two sons, three daughters, and ten grandchildren. His passing will leave a hole in our bookshelves and on the schedules of paranormal podcasters worldwide. The best way to honor his life and contributions to the field is to continue to read his books … and remember:
“We are all spiritual beings. The paranormal is just part of the world we all share but do not fully comprehend.”
It’s no surprise that the United States Air Force is up to some pretty secretive stuff. Area 51, for example, is an Air Force-run facility and detachment of Edwards Air Force Base in nearby southern California. It’s public knowledge that the USAF tests some of its most secretive and cutting-edge technologies in Nevada’s Groom Lake and the Nevada Test Site, but little information about what goes on at these bases is actually made public. Still, there are some tidbits of information available to the public if you look in the right places. The military units which operate at these top-secret bases, for example, don’t always hide the fact that they’re up to some weird stuff out in the desert.
This week, Tyler Rogoway’s military technology blog The War Zone shared pictures of the official challenge coin of the USAF’s 72d Test and Evaluation Squadron Detachment Two, and the coin seems to imply that the unit revels in the fact its testing ground is steeped in UFO, alien, and otherwise spooky lore. The bizarre challenge coin, which can be seen here, is a collage of odd symbols, cryptic imagery, and mysterious slogans all of which point to the fact that this unit is up to some seriously shadowy work in the Nevada desert. What exactly was this unit trying to depict with the coin?
Challenge coins.
Challenge coins are small tokens of appreciation or commemoration issued by units of the military and often traded among service members. The most prominent aspect of this strange coin is a large B-2 bomber spanning the entire width of one of its faces. The 72nd Test and Evaluation Squadron Detachment Two is charged with testing and evaluating the B-2 Spirit aircraft, more commonly referred to as the Stealth Bomber. It’s believed that this single-wing aircraft is responsible for many “flying saucer” sightings due to its flat profile and near-silent operation. Surrounding the bomber is the unit’s cloud and lightning bolt insignia and a series of strange unknown symbols believed to depict antenna arrays at Area 51. The edge of the face contains the US Post Office’s motto of “neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”
B-2 Spirit, otherwise known as ‘hot death from above.’
The coin’s other face bears the motto ‘Denego, Decipio, Depopulor,’ Latin for “Deny, Deceive, Destroy,” and depicts the Las Vegas skyline with a cryptic map-looking image beneath it. The meaning of this image is unknown, but it appears to depict some sort of tunnel system, road map, or other similar structure. Superimposed on this image is a typical grey alien which appears to be scratching its head in disbelief as a B-2 flies over Las Vegas as a lightning bolt striking the ground before it. It’s a truly disconcerting image, and I encourage you to visit The War Zone to check it out and read Rogoway’s analysis of the coin and the history of the unit behind it.
Is this coin merely a tongue-in-cheek reference to the otherwordly folklore surrounding the USAF’s bases like Area 51, or might this coin be a way of hiding knowledge of higher mysteries in plain sight? What would be the gain in that, other than to laugh at us mortals down here in the dark? Like all things with these top secret units, we’ll likely never know.
Having extensively written about the “Contactee”/”Space Brothers” issue in my 2006 book, On the Trail of the Saucer Spies, and in my 2009 book, Contactees, I quite often get asked what I think about the likes of George Adamski, Dana Howard, Truman Bethurum, Orfeo Angelucci, and the many others who, in the 1950s, claimed face-to-face contact with long-haired aliens from other worlds. I think some of them had legitimate experiences with...something (but definitely not with space-hippies from Venus). Others may have been the victims of early “mind-control” operations. Some were definitely engaged in hoaxing. Others were just plain nuts. But, there is one Contactee-linked affair that I get asked about at least a couple of times a year – an affair that is highly entertaining, but for reasons you might not think. It’s a story of how two men hoaxed George Adamski and created something that still circulates among his followers. Well, among at least some of them.
It all began back in 1957 and involved a pair of friends who decided to play a prank on Adamski – which they did. But, it had unforeseen circumstances. That aforementioned pair of friends were Jim Moseley and Gray Barker. Moseley, who died in 2012, is mostly noted for his highly amusing newsletter, Saucer Smear and his 2002 book, Shockingly Close to the Truth, co-written with Karl Pflock, which is hilarious. As for the late Gray Barker, he’s noted for having written the first book on the Men in Black (1956’s They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers), as well as the first book on Mothman (The Silver Bridge, which was published in 1970). Both men were notorious pranksters. Barker was someone who played fast and loose with facts – particularly so in his books. And Moseley, at times, would go along with Barker’s escapades. All of which brings us to the matter of what went down one night in 1957, and of what became known as the Straith Letter.
At the time, Barker had a friend who, back in the 1950s, was in his late teens. It turns out that the kid’s father worked for the U.S. Government, specifically in an office of the Department of State. Barker and the unnamed teenager got talking one day and the kid brought up the fact that he had seen a bunch of unused Department of State-headed paperwork in his father’s office. This gave Barker an idea: he asked his friend if he could get his hands on some of that same letter-headed paperwork. So, the next time the kid visited his father’s office, he quietly and quickly grabbed a bunch of DoS documents and stealthily got them to Barker. He even provided Barker with Department of State envelopes. It wasn’t at all long before the Barker-Moseley caper began.
On one drunken night in Clarksburg, West Virginia – where Barker lived – the two cooked up a plot to hoax Adamski, then the most famous Contactee on the planet. And, having got not photocopies of Department of State-headed paper, but originals, made their plan even easier to con Adamski. Barker started to type. The pair decided they would create a completely fictitious employee of the Department of State. They called him “R.E. Straith,” of the “Cultural Affairs Committee.” In the letter, the actually-non-existent Straith tells Adamski that he – Straith – and several of his colleagues are right behind Adamski, but cannot publicly provide support for him and his claims of contact with aliens, because of their jobs in the government. And then, Barker and Moseley mailed the letter to Adamski – in one of those Department of State envelopes. Of course, Adamski loved it. Whether he believed the letter to be the real deal, or if he suspected it was a hoax, is a matter we’ll never likely know. But, for Adamski, it didn’t really matter: this was just what he needed to show to his followers (and his critics too) that he had government support. Which he didn’t. Then, things got a bit worrying for Barker. Not so much for Moseley though, who thought it was all great fun.
It turns out that Adamski began showing the faked letter to various people in Ufology, and waving it around at lectures. Not only that, a copy of the Straith Letter reached the FBI (maybe even from Adamski himself, who enjoyed mixing things up to his advantage). The G-Men were, unsurprisingly, far from impressed. They quite rightly suspected a hoax and told him to quit all of his foolishness. When word of all this got to Barker, he totally freaked out – and to the point that he actually broke the typewriter into small pieces and, one day, buried the bits and pieces in the fresh cement of a building then being constructed in Clarksburg. Of course, the “cement story” may have been yet another of Barker’s jokes, adding even more layers to the legend. But, we know for sure that Barker wasdeeply worried by the fact that the FBI were now onto a matter than began as a late-night prank put together by a couple of booze-soaked buddies. Barker was even grilled by the FBI, but it came to nothing. Barker never revealed the name of the kid who got the Department of State paperwork – at least, not publicly. He certainly shared the name with Moseley, though, who took it with him to the grave (his name, however, was James Villard). The FBI eventually dropped the matter.
The reason why I mention all of this, is because just last week I was asked about the Straith Letter – yet again – and by someone convinced that it was (and still is) the real deal. It’s not! The Straith Letter is the product of two people who liked to screw with the collective minds of Ufology for their own entertainment. And, in this case, they excelled themselves. Far too many people – whose “I want to believe” approach to Ufology has affected their common-sense – see the letter as something notable. But, let’s be clear: it’s a joke. It was alwaysa joke. And it always will be a joke. Case closed? I dunno. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if – in the not too distant future – someone else resurrects the letter and waves it around as evidence that the U.S. Government was secretly supporting George Adamski.
