Als het klopt wat wetenschappers beweren in het vakblad ‘Doklady Biological Sciences’, zijn deze wormen maar liefst 41.700 jaar oud. Het gaat om twee geslachten, de zogeheten Plectus en de Panagrolaimus, die in de Siberische permafrost verbleven en bijna 42.000 jaar geleden aan een winterslaapje begonnen. Tienduizenden jaren hebben ze in een ijslaag overleefd. Onderzoekers die bodemmonsters verzamelden, vonden de dieren. In het laboratorium werden de wormen in een petrischaaltje tot een temperatuur van 20 graden Celsius opgewarmd. Na enkele weken kwam er beweging in: de rondwormen, allebei vrouwelijk, kropen rond en gingen weer eten. Het zou gaan om ’s wereld oudste levende dieren.
“Rondwormen kunnen heel goed tegen bevriezing”, zegt nematoloog Wim Bert (UGent). “Dat fenomeen is natuurlijk al veel langer bekend. Ik doe het zelf ook voor practicalessen. Vooral de lange duur is hier opvallend. Er wordt nu snel gesproken over het opnieuw tot leven wekken van andere, grotere dieren of het invriezen van mensen, maar op dat vlak heb je weinig aan de rondwormen. De wormen hebben geen hersenen. Die invriezen en weer tot leven brengen, is veel moeilijker en ligt nog ver weg.” (DM)
As you might guess, FRBs are milliseconds-long bursts of radio emissions that come from some unknown source across the universe. They're one of the newer cosmic mysteries around, having been first detected only about a decade ago. Possible explanations include bursts from magnetars, exploding black holes, and yes, highly advanced alien civilizations.
CHIME has been operating for less than a year and is designed to gather data on FRBs and other unanswered questions in astrophysics. The detection of FRB 180725A is very preliminary at this point. It was announced in an online "Astronomer's Telegram" post intended to encourage other astronomers "to search for repeated bursts at all wavelengths."
The announcement also notes that additional FRBs have been found in the past week at frequencies as low as 400 MHz and early indications suggest they aren't coming from known sources on Earth.
It's early days for both the study of FRBs and this FRB in particular. CHIME and other observatories will be keeping an ear to the sky for more clues to help solve the mystery.

De nieuwe Canadese radiotelescoop CHIME heeft op 25 juli een mysterieus signaal uit de ruimte opgepikt. Het gaat om een zogeheten snelle radioflits, genaamd FRB 180725A.
Dergelijke radioflitsen zijn afkomstig van een onbekende bron in het universum. De eerste werd ongeveer 10 jaar geleden ontdekt.
Het fenomeen is met mysterie omgeven. Mogelijke verklaringen variëren van magnetars tot exploderende zwarte gaten en hoogontwikkelde buitenaardse beschavingen.
Opgeroepen
De radiotelescoop, die vorig jaar in gebruik werd genomen, is speciaal ontwikkeld om onder meer gegevens over radioflitsen te verzamelen.
De nieuwe radioflits werd aangekondigd in een bericht op The Astronomer’s Telegram, waarin andere astronomen werden opgeroepen om te kijken of het signaal zich herhaalde.
In het bericht werd verder opgemerkt dat snelle radioflitsen in het verleden zijn waargenomen bij frequenties rond 400 MHz en dat er sterke aanwijzingen zijn dat ze niet afkomstig zijn van bronnen op aarde.
Enorm krachtig
Tot dusver is slechts één snelle radioflits ontdekt die zich herhaalt. Onderzoekers zeggen dat de bron van dit signaal enorm krachtig moet zijn.
CHIME en andere radiotelescopen blijven de hemel afspeuren in een poging het mysterie rond dit fenomeen te ontrafelen.
Bak in November 2013, I wrote an article here at Mysterious Universe on an old, enduring story that dates back many centuries. My article was titled “The Wild Kids of Woolpit” and it began as follows: “Woolpit is an ancient English village situated between the Suffolk towns of Bury St. Edmunds and Stowmarket. And it’s a village with a very strange storyattached to it. So the tale goes, back in the 12th Century, a young girl and boy, of strangely green-hued skin, appeared in Woolpit one day, claiming to have come from a magical place called St. Martin’s Land. It was, they said, a place which existed in an atmosphere of permanent twilight, and where the people lived underground, on nothing but green beans. While the story has been relegated by many to the realms of mere myth and folklore, it may not be just that. It might, actually, be much more.”
Although there are those who have embraced the theory that the green children may have had supernatural origins – fairies, for example – I personally think there is a much more likely scenario, as I also noted in 2013 article: “The pair may have been suffering from a condition called Hypochromic Anemia, in which the sufferer – as a result of a very poor diet that, in part, affects the color of the red blood-cells – can develop skin of a noticeably green shade. In support of this scenario, Hypochromic Anemia was once known as Chlorosis, a word formulated in the early 1600s by a Montpellier professor of medicine named Jean Varandal. And why did Varandal choose such a name? Simple: It came from the Greek word Chloris, meaning greenish-yellow or pale green.”
Although I don’t personally think that the mystery is one which has supernatural origins, I thought today I would share with you the words of those who have commented on the theory that the Green Kids of Woolpit may have been extraterrestrial in nature. Little Green Men? Well, some might say “Yes.” Dr. Karl Shuker, one of the world’s leading Cryptozoologists, wrote of this ancient affair:
“In his book Mysteries: Solved and Unsolved (1959), [Harold T.] Wilkins boldly proposed that the green children may have entered our world from a parallel version (existing in a separate dimensional plane but directly alongside our own), by accidentally passing through some form of interdimensional ‘window’ bridging the two. Another dramatic proposal is that the green children are extraterrestrials. As long ago as 1651, Robert Burton opined in his tome Anatomy of Melancholy that they may have come from Venus or Mars.”
Tristan Eldritch provides the following: “To a modern reader, the children might suggest stranded extraterrestrials of some kind, and this interpretation of the tale goes back much further than you would imagine.” Eldtritch adds that, “the story found its way into Francis Goodwin’s fancy The Man in the Moone (1638), a work sometimes regarded as the very earliest example of science fiction.”
Melanie Koslovic offers this: “It has also been suggested that the children may have been aliens, or inhabitants of a world beneath the Earth. In 1996 an article was published in the magazine Analog concerning this mystery; astronomer Duncan Lunan hypothesized that the children were accidentally sent to Woolpit from their home planet due to a malfunction in their ‘matter transmitter.’ Lunan thinks that the planet from which the children originated may be trapped in a synchronous orbit around its sun, presenting the conditions for life only in a narrow twilight zone between a fiercely hot surface and a frozen dark side. He believes the children’s green color is a side effect of consuming genetically modified alien plants eaten on their planet.”
As I said, I am firmly in the down-to-earth camp when it comes to the matter of the strange children of Woolpit. It’s unlikely, though, that the matter will ever be resolved to the satisfaction of everyone.

Wetenschappers hebben ontdekt dat elektromagnetische energie zich concentreert in de verborgen kamers in en onder de Grote Piramide van Gizeh.
“Egyptische piramides hebben altijd veel aandacht getrokken,” zegt hoofdonderzoeker Andrej Evljoekhin.
“Wij waren er als wetenschappers ook in geïnteresseerd,” zegt hij, toevoegende dat ze besloten de bouwwerken aan een onderzoek te onderwerpen.
Interessant
Onderzoekers van de ITMO University in Sint-Petersburg en het Laser Zentrum Hannover brachten de verdeling van elektromagnetische velden in de Grote Piramide in kaart.
Omdat er weinig betrouwbare informatie is over de eigenschappen van de piramides, moesten ze zich af en toe baseren op aannames.
“We namen bijvoorbeeld aan dat er geen onbekende ruimtes meer in de piramide zijn en dat de bouwmaterialen evenredig verdeeld zijn over de piramide,” zegt dr. Evljoekhin.
“Onze resultaten zijn interessant te noemen,” vervolgt hij.
Onafgemaakte kamer
Uit de analyse van de wetenschappers blijkt dat elektromagnetische energie zich concentreert in de verborgen kamers van de piramide.
Het gaat hierbij om kamers in de piramide en eronder, waar zich nog een onafgemaakte kamer bevindt.
De piramide is zo gebouwd dat de energie via de lege ruimtes naar de ondergrond en die kamer wordt geleid.
Nanodeeltjes
De elektromagnetische energie hoopt zich op in de lege ruimtes, leggen de onderzoekers uit in de studie, die is gepubliceerd in het Journal of Applied Physics.
“De piramide verstrooit als het ware de elektromagnetische golven en richt ze op de ondergrond,” klinkt het.
De manier waarop elektromagnetische energie wordt verdeeld in de piramide, kan ons helpen bij de ontwikkeling van nanodeeltjes, laat Polina Kapitainova van de IMTO University weten.

Het internet gonst weer eens van de verhalen vanwege een opmerking die voormalig astronaut Buzz Aldrin maakte tegen een achtjarig meisje.
Hij zei luid en duidelijk tegen haar dat we nooit naar de maan zijn geweest en nu is men op internet verdeeld in twee kampen.
De maanlandingen en of die nu wel of niet echt zijn gebeurd, is iets dat de gemoederen blijft bezighouden, ook nu weer, nadat een vreemde opname van voormalig astronaut Buzz Aldrin boven water is gekomen.
Aldrin hoorde bij de bemanning van de bekende Apollo 11 missie en was na Neil Armstrong, formeel de tweede mens die in 1969 voet op de maan zette.
Hij leeft nog steeds Buzz Aldrin en baarde enkele jaren geleden ook opzien door plotsklaps op Antarctica te verschijnen, waar hij onverwachts ziek werd en met grote spoed werd afgevoerd, zoals wij in een eerder artikel schreven.
Nu gaan er echter beelden viraal van Buzz Aldrin, opgenomen in 2015, waarin een achtjarig meisje hem vraagt waarom we niet meer terug zijn geweest op de maan.
Het antwoord is nogal verbazingwekkend want geloof het of niet, Aldrin zegt letterlijk dat we niet op de maan zijn geweest.
Kijk en oordeel zelf.
En dan vormen zich onmiddellijk twee kampen. De ene die denkt dat wat Buzz zegt absoluut klopt en dat we dus nooit op de maan zijn geweest en de andere helft die denkt dat Aldrin per ongeluk iets verkeerds zegt.
Iemand die dat laatste denkt is Tyler van Secureteam die in zijn meest recente video zelfs suggereert dat omdat Aldrin behoorlijk op leeftijd is, hij duidelijk moeite heeft om dingen goed te verwoorden en aan het dementeren zou zijn.
Maar, Buzz Aldrin is nog steeds heel scherp en is er zeker niet de man naar om dit soort opmerkingen te maken wanneer hij dat niet zou willen doen. Dus, waarom zegt hij ditdan?
Misschien wel omdat niet alleen de maanlandingen nep waren, maar omdat de complete maan wellicht nep is en niet bestaat.
Voor dat verhaal gaan we terug naar een eerder artikel van november vorig jaar, waar diezelfde Tyler van Secureteam met een video kwam met een verhaal van een Youtube gebruiker van wie het kanaal was afgesloten, onmiddellijk nadat hij een hele vreemde video over de maan had gepubliceerd.
Een video welke is opgenomen met een telescoop door de man die zichzelf Crrow777 noemt en waarop een vreemde golfbeweging is waar te nemen die als het ware over de hele maan trekt.
De Lunar Wave laat iets zien dat eigenlijk niet kan, een soort golfbeweging over het oppervlak van de maan van onder naar boven. Een effect wat je ook wel ziet als de wind over het water blaast. Men noemt dit in het Engels een ripple effect. Hierdoor lijkt het alsof het maanoppervlak niet solide is, maar bijvoorbeeld vloeibaar als water.
Deze opname is zo beroemd geworden dat grote mainstream kranten er over hebben geschreven en na de eerste Lunar wave slaagde Crrow777 er op 9 maart 2014 opnieuw in om deze wave vast te leggen.
Crrow777 is er na jaren van observeren en filmen van de maan door een telescoop van overtuigd dat de maan niet is wat wij denken dat het is. Volgens hem is het niets anders dan een hologram in de lucht en zijn de Lunar waves kleine foutjes in de programmering die dat aantonen.
De meest voor de hand liggende verklaring zou zijn een mankement aan de opname apparatuur, maar na jaren onderzoek wordt dit door Crrow777 uitgesloten, omdat het effect alleen zichtbaar is op het oppervlak van de maan en niet op de totale opname.
Daarnaast is ditzelfde effect op het maanoppervlak inmiddels door zo'n 30 andere mensen ook vastgelegd. Hiermee lijkt een technisch mankement uitgesloten.
Dus, waarom is deze opname kennelijk zodanig gevaarlijk dat er een account met 80.000 abonnees waar eigenlijk alleen maar opnames van de maan op staan, wordt gesloten. Het schijnt nog verder te gaan dan dat, want wanneer mensen nu zoeken op Crrow777 via Youtube of Google worden primair allerlei resultaten getoond die zeggen dat de Lunar wave niet echt is.
Het videokanaal van Crrow777 schijnt inmiddels weer in de lucht te zijn en daarom is het ook mogelijk een tweede video van deze man te bekijken (onderstaand), waarin hij verder voortborduurt op de door hem en ook anderen waargenomen Lunar Wave.
De man heeft intensief contact gehad met verschillende Russische wetenschappers die hem dingen hebben verteld/laten zien, waaruit zou blijken dat hij absoluut op het goede spoor zit met zijn theorie dat de maan een hologram is. Er zijn tevens onderzoeksresultaten vertaald uit het Russisch waaruit dit blijkt, zoals ook aan het einde van de video wordt getoond.
Dat wij als mensheid onder controle staan van bepaalde entiteiten die voor ons een bepaalde illusionaire wereld hebben geschapen, waarin als het ware alles nep is, inclusief de zon en de maan.
Voor velen zal dit een stap te ver zijn, maar het past natuurlijk ook aardig in de theorie die zegt dat God mogelijk niets anders is dan een IT specialist en dat diezelfde God voor ons een matrix heeft geschapen waarbinnen wij leven en het gevoel krijgen dat alles echt is.
Kijk en luister naar wat Crow777 te zeggen heeft , met in het achterhoofd de opmerking van de tweede man die voet op de maan zou hebben gezet gezet en die letterlijk zegt dat we er niet geweest zijn.
One of the coolest stories from last week (September 18, 2012) introduced the world to what many are now calling an underwater crop circle. Of course, these sea floor circles have nothing to do with crops, but they are intricate circles, reminiscent of the elaborate crop circles that sometimes turn up in farmers’ fields. Japanese photographer Yoji Ookata captured the photos below while on a dive near Amami Oshima at the southern tip of Japan. He said the rippling geometric sand patterns are nearly six feet in diameter and almost 80 feet below sea level.

Ookata brought colleagues and a television crew to study the mysterious underwater circles further. They found that the artist was a small puffer fish who, using only his flapping fin, tirelessly worked day and night to carve the circular ridges.

The photo above shows the artist: the puffer fish. In Japan, these fish are considered a delicacy, despite the fact they can be poisonous. According to the blog Spoon & Tamago, which I believe is where this story originated, this fish even takes “small shells, cracks them, and lines the inner grooves of his sculpture as if decorating his piece.
Apparently female puffer fish are attracted by the grooves and ridges. They mate and lay eggs in the center of these undersea circles.

Bottom line: In September 2012, a story began circulating about underwater “crop circles,” which are apparently made by puffer fish. Japanese photographer Yoji Ookata discovered them and later brought back a film crew and others to study them. The story appeared in the blog Spoon & Tamago on September 18, 2012.
Ask a kid to name as many three-dimensional geometric shapes as he or she can think of and they’ll probably run out of fingers to count on before they run out of names … even counting two-dimensional mistakes like triangles. Ask them to name the newest 3-D geometric shape, and you’ll likely get a dog-hearing-a-strange-noise stare, followed by a return to texting on the hexahedron in their hand. If they’re the type to talk back and respond with, “Can you?”, the answer is yes … the newest 3-D geometric shape is the scutoid and it can be found in epithelial cells in human skin. Yes, there will be a test.
‘Scutoid’ sounds like a mutant android but it’s actually a shape somewhat like a prism with a five-sided pentagon on one end and a six-sided hexagon on the other. The points are able to join via a triangle adjacent to one edge of the hexagon whose non-adjacent point magically reduces the number of edges from six to five. If you’re lost, here’s a picture.

While this all sounds mathematical, the source of the scutoid discovery is actually biological. According to their study published in Nature Communications, researchers at Seville University in Spain and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, were studying how skin develops on an embryo and trying to determine how the cells are able to conform to the curve of the embryonic body while remaining tightl;y packed together. While it has always been assumed that the cells were shaped like straight-sided columns or bottles that expand on the non-skin side, a computer model showed a better way … and a new shape. Javier Buceta, associate professor of bioengineering at Lehigh and study co-author, explains:
“During the modeling process, the results we saw were weird. Our model predicted that as the curvature of the tissue increases, columns and bottle-shapes were not the only shapes that cells may developed. To our surprise, the additional shape didn’t even have a name in math! One does not normally have the opportunity to name a new shape.”
One would think that if one were given such an opportunity, one would come up with a better name than ‘scutoid’. Being biologists and scientists, they immediately recognized that the shape resembled a Scutellum — the posterior part of an insect thorax – and the scutoid was christened. Someone a little more clever noticed the shape’s convoluted sides and called it a ‘twisted prim’ which is a better name for it and a great name for a band.

Is this a big deal? Yes, says Buceta.
“We have unlocked nature’s solution to achieving efficient epithelial bending.”
In layman’s terms, using the scutoid shape will make it easier to create artificial skin and organs that better match the looks, performance and efficiency of the real thing, especially on a growing body.
Sorry Dr. Buceta. That all sounds great, but scutoid still sounds like more like something the new female Dr. Who will encounter. Or a trick answer on a geometry test.

A team of German and Russian physicists studying the properties of the Great Pyramid, also known as the Khufu Pyramid, have found that it can concentrate electromagnetic energy inside its hidden chambers and focus the electromagnetic waves into the substrate region, according to a study published in the latest issue of the Journal of Applied Physics.
According to Andrei Yevlyukhin, an ITMO University research coordinator in St. Petersburg, the Khufu Pyramid and its "cousins" are often attributed all kinds of "magical" properties, including ability to "concentrate cosmic energy" and other unscientific phenomena.
Scientists surmised that the Great Pyramid, just like many other man-made objects, could act as a resonator focusing and amplifying waves commensurate with the size of the objects themselves.
In this particular case the researchers were examining waves within the 200-600 meter (656-1,968 feet) range - the wavelength many amateur radio stations work on.
Creating a computer model of the Great Pyramid, the scientists bombarded it with radio waves to see how they would interact with the pyramid as a whole and its elements.
As these calculations have shown, the pyramid will indeed interact with the "amateur" radio waves, accumulating their energy inside the King's Chamber redirecting it to the substrate region where the third chamber is located.
Most of all, it will affect the waves with a length of 333 meters (1,092 feet) and 230 meters (754 feet).
According to the authors, the Great Pyramid and its "brethren" can interact even more strongly with other types of waves, but this remains to be verified, reports sputniknews.
Kallavesi is a lake in the Eastern part of Finland, near the city of Kuopio. A local resident Mr. Raimo Blomqvist, 30, was visiting with his parents their summer cottage on an island in Kallavesi. It was a Saturday evening in August, about 19 o´clock, when he suddenly noticed a strange, colourful light ball coming from the sky, under the cloud cover.
The light came nearer and turned out to be an oval glowing object. It was something he had never seen – that is why it was difficult for him to discribe the object. He said that it had “the shape of a fishcock” (“kalakukko”, a local dish with fish and meet baked in bread). There was one difference: as the cross section of a fishcock is a quite regular, symmetric ellipse, one end of the strange object was oddly curved.
While the object was hovering above the shallow water of the island (some meters above water, 10 meters from Mr. Blomqvist) he saw something falling from the object. When it broke the water surface, he heard a sound that resembled hot metal touching cold water.
The UFO started to glow brightly and shot almost straight upwards and disappeared into the clouds. Mr. Blomqvist went to the shallow water and found a piece of stone. It was 3-4 cm long, and you could see 5 layers in it.
11 years later Mr. Blomqvist contacted UFO investigators, told his story and gave the piece of stone found in the water. At that time we had a board member in the FUFORA, engineer Olavi Kiviniemi, who worked in the laboratorium of a steel factory. He organized proper lab investigations of the strange piece, also at labs of universities.
They found out that the piece mostly was of iron, but there were also small amounts of other materials: copper, zink, magnesium, mangan, zirkonium, vanadium, titanium and crom. They also found out that the stone had been in a temperature of 650-800 degrees Celsius for a long time.
Later some investigators have proposed that the UFO piece found in Kallavesi is residue from a traditional iron factory. The piece resembles that kind of metal residue, but is not totally similar.
As many people who have had strong UFO experiences, it appeared that Raimo Blomqvist had parapsychological sensitivity. Later he also said that he had met space beings who looked like normal people.
Seven “air balloons” in Pori 1969
In Pori, a city in southwest Finland, there is an air field used by both civilian and military airplanes. 12.4.1969 there was a training camp of the Air Force of Finland. About 20 pilots were observing, how 7 yellow balls appeared in the sky. They were hovering about 2000 meters above the airfield. They were also seen by radar.
Nowbody knew what those strange objects were. Pilot Tarmo Tukeva was in the air training bombing attacks. He was ordered to go to check out those strange balls. When Tukeva was approaching the balls with his jet Fouga Magister, they started to move out as a formation. They sped away so fast towards the North that the jet had no chance to reach them. It was measured that there was wind blowing 185 km/h, and those objects were flying against it. Very soon the balloons were seen on the radar at the airfield of Vaasa.
No normal explanation was found. Two pilots who saw the strange balloons in the Pori airfield were Jouko Kuronen and Tarmo Tukeva. Jouko Kuronen, later the head of Lappeenranta airport, has talked about the case many times afterwards in public. Tarmo Tukeva described the UFOs that he was catching by jet in the international TV program “Visitors from the Skies” (Juhan af Grann 1992), prized later with an EBE Oscar a the Las Vegas UFO Film Festival. Tukeva died of a heart attack two weeks after telling about the UFO case.
This UFO case is the only one accepted officially by the Finnish Air Force. Tietomaa, the Science Center of Oulu, organized a UFO exhibition and International UFO seminar (with foreign lecturers: Friedman from Canada, Azaza and Popovich from Russia, Volke from Estonia) in co-operation with FUFORA in 1993. The organizers sent a letter concerning the Pori UFO case to the Finnish Air Force. They answered by sending back an official letter (signed by the Information Chief of the Air Force), where they informed that those 7 strange balls seen during the training period of the Air Force were never explained in any normal ways.
FUFORA has tried to co-operate with the Finnish Army, but only in some few cases and with certain persons has it succeeded. Representatives of the Air Force have told our investigators that the Air Force has many UFO cases, but because the strange objects flying in the airspace of Finland represent overwhelming technology, it has been better no to talk about the subject in public.
Rauno Meriö, the former head of the Finnish Air Force, has been very interested in UFOs (translated Bowen´s book “Humanoids”), but has never given comments on UFOs in public.
In the 1970`s we had secret negotiations with Finnish generals to start co-operation in UFO investigation. FUFORA was ready to infrom the army about UFO cases, but when the army didn´t promise to give their information, the negotiations ended.
Humanoid of Imjärvi 1970
The UFO case in Imjärvi, the village near Heinola City (Eastern part of Finland) is maybe the best-known Finnish UFO case abroad. We have had so little international co-operation in UFO investigation (due to the language barrier) that only very few Finnish UFO cases are well-known in other countries.
That winterday in 1970 two men were skiing in the forest, Aarno Heinonen, 36, and Esko Viljo, 38. Both were quite good skiers and participated in local skiing competitions. They took a break in a small open area amidst trees. It was 16.45 o´clock.
Suddenly they saw a fire-coloured, longish object in the sky. The object disappeared and instead of it they saw something like light cloud. After that they heard strange sounds like hum of bees. Then they saw a lightgrey round disc, about 2 meters wide. It was hovering 3-4 meters above the ground. In the bottom there were 3 half balls, in the middle of them a round pipe. Greyish red smoke started to come out of the object. Then a small ball (diameter 15 cm) came out and in touching the ground it changed into a round disc (diameter 1 m). Colourful rays started to spread from this small disc. It changed back into a ball and returned into the bigger object.
The climax of the phenomenon came: both men saw a small creature beside the UFO. The creature was a small man, about 90 cm tall, thin body, curved nose. The uniform was lightgreen with white, long gloves and a cone-shaped cap. He had on the chest a black box with a white button in the middle of it. The box radiated light, which was regularly changing in intensity.
The whole experience lasted only about 15 seconds, then a cloud of smoke covered both the UFO and the humanoid.
The two men stood there, stunned and silent. Then they asked each other: “What was that light?” When comparing the experiences they realized that both of them had seen the same phenomenon. Very soon Aarno Heinonen realized that it was very difficult to move. His limbs were stiff and sore, and it took half an hour to ski home, a distance of only 500 meters.
After coming home the men went to see a doctor. Doctor Kajanoja investigated the men, but didn´t find any normal reasons for the bad feelings of the patients. They seemed to be effects of some kind of radiation. The doctor just gave some sleeping pills and sent them home. The next day, when they went back to the doctor, they were given painkillers.
The pains lasted for months, especially for Aarno Heinonen. He was on sick leave for half a year. Viljo Heino had been further from the UFO and had weaker pains. As in many strong UFO cases Aarno Heinonen became a contactee and he gained parapsychological talents. He has been quite a famous healer in the area.
One of the humanoids that Heinonen met later was “humanoid girl”, who told that Heinonen was his best friend on this planet. However, the girl didn´t want to leave any traces. That is why she took a camera from Heinonen, who had got it from one UFO investigator.
When international UFO books and magazines have described UFO cases around the world, very often they have tried to tell something also from Finland. Lacking new cases they have repeated the Imjärvi case. Unfortunately the story has changed quite a lot from the original form. One UFO magazine described, how the sky of Imjärvi was full of UFOs which tried to attack the poor men, who escaped on snowshoes… A big documentary book about the paranormal (Parker: “Atlas of Supernatural”) presented a good drawing of the Imjärvi case, but informed that the humanoid was 9 meters tall (a mistake of just one point!). This doesn´t give a very truthful or scientific image of international UFO books…
Dish water of Kuusamo 1971
Very few UFO cases have been so largely discussed in public in Finland as the UFO case of Saapunki (in Kuusamo, Northern Finland, near the Russian border) in 1971.
In the years 1969-71 there was the UFO wave of Pudasjärvi-Kuusamo. Typical to the UFO flaps and waves is that they mostly happen in mountain areas. The most southern fells (mountains, on top of which no trees are growing) are in Pudasjärvi and Kuusamo
It was an early wintermorning on 3.1.1971, when Mauno and Martti Talala, a country couple, were drinking morningcoffee in their typical one-family-house in Saapunki. The lake Saapunki was hardly seen through their window. There was quite a fierce snowstorm and you could not see the lights in the windows further than 300 meters.
Suddenly they saw a very bright light which was approaching from the lake.
The light was about 10 meters in diameter. It was moving against the wind. Later the UFO researchers found out that the moving light had been seen by many people living on the lake. It created breaks of electricity in some houses.
When the couple looked out after some seconds, they were terrified: the whole yard was bathed in a bright light. First they thought a fire had started in a yard building. Then they saw that it was a big lightball, so strong that it was difficult to look at the object.
After some seconds the lightball rose up and disappeared. The couple went out and saw some signs in the place, above which the strange object had been hovering. There were some extra materials in the snow and additionally a very odd phenomenon: ice sticks upwards, small ice balls on top. Normally ice sticks can be seen on roofedges, where water has dropped and frozen.
Our local UFO club was just that morning going to Pudasjärvi to establish a new UFO organization. After hearing about the new UFO case we decided, that half of our group would leave for Kuusamo. Later engineer Ahti Karivieri, the leader of Pudasjärvi-Kuusamo investigations, collected exact details and materials of the Saapunki case: interviews (written and taped), photos, drawings, material samples).
The sample was sent to the Geological Research Institute (highest government institute). There was working Dr. Birger Wiik, who had become famous for the moonstone investigations. He was the only person in Finland chosen to research an American moonstone. When newspapers got to know about the Saapunki UFO case and the samples sent to Dr. Wiik, they interviewed him. Without knowing details and without researching the samples he estimated that the materials found in Saapunki were “dishwater”!
Immediately after the interview Dr.Wiik met his friend, who knew more about UFOs. After the meeting Dr. Wiik tried to withdraw his statement, but it was too late. People in Saapunki were quite hurt, because according to them, throwing dishwater to the middle of the home yard wasn´t good manners.
Later Dr. Wiik`s assistant told that the material sample bottle (sent by eng. Karivieri) had been on the windowsill for two weeks. Then Dr. Wiik had given order to throw it out, without investigation.
Fortunately some other samples were sent to other research labs, in Finland and in England. In the samples they found plantcell tissue plus calium, calsium, iron, cloridium and titanium. But there was no koli bacteria, that normal dishwater contains.
Knocking light in Oulu 1976
Seven teen-aged people had a self-made cottage amidst trees in Oulu (Northern part of Finland). They were spending an evening together (12.11.1976) in Rusko, a residential neighborhood. It was dark, only the snow was reflecting some light. At 20 o´clock they saw a strange light far in the sky. Then after being inside for a while, they saw two bright lightballs hovering one meter above the ground, about 20 meters from the cottage. Their sizes were about 1 – 1,5 meters in diameter.
Two boys went out and started to approach the balls. Eero Lammi, a 19- year old man, was walking first, Seppo Moilanen, 15, a couple of meters behind. When Eero was about 10 meters from the balls, Seppo saw, how a lightbeam came from one of the UFOs and went through Eero. He fell down and lost his consciousness.
The youngsters carried Eero to the cottage. After 5 minutes he regained his consciousness. He remembered a flash of light and feeling pain before losing consciousness. When they looked through the window, the UFOs had disappeared. The balls had been hovering for 5-10 minutes. Some red points were found on the skin on Eero´s chest, in the back there was a red area. Afterwards he felt no pain, so he didn´t go to a doctor.
UFO investigators made a proper research, but no normal explanations were found. Other people in the area had also seen strange lights at the same time in the sky. After 5 years Eero Lammi was interviewed in a local newspaper, and he still kept his original story.
On the same day, 21.11.1976, three Spanish soldiers met a strange, 3 meters tall being with phosphor clothes in Talavera la Real, an Air Force Base in Spain. José Trejo, one of the soldiers, was paralyzed temporarily and fell down. The other soldiers came and shot towards the being. They saw a bright flash, and the being disappeared. Afterwards José Trejo experienced some loss of sight and memory; later he had parapsychological experiences.
The Oulu case had some similarities with Travis Walton`s UFO case, which happened in the USA one year before. Walton and his lumberjack colleagues saw a bright UFO hovering above the ground in the forest. After a bright light hit Travis,the other men fled. Travis Walton disappeared for 5 days. Travis remembered that he had been inside a UFO and some strange beings had investigated him. In Oulu Seppo Lammi had no such memories.

When a team of Russian astronomers reported in 2015 that a telescope in the Caucasus region had intercepted a mysterious signal from a distant star, talk of extraterrestrials was not far behind. As some asked: was this proof aliens were trying to contact us?
The answer came soon enough. Follow-up observations from other telescopes failed to confirm the signal and researchers came to the conclusion that the source of the signal was far closer to home. The chances are it came from a passing plane or a person on a citizens band radio, or was down to a glitch in the telescope’s electronics.
It was not the first time public excitement had been whipped up by signals that turned out to be proof of something far less exciting than an advanced extraterrestrial civilisation. And in expectation that more false signals will come, scientists have now created their own Richter-like scale to explain whether a finding is a damp squib or has truly seismic implications.
The new scale allows scientists to rate interesting signals detected in searches for extraterrestrial intelligence from 0 to 10, where 0 is nothing to get excited about and 10 is equivalent to “an alien space probe orbiting the Earth or an alien shaking your hand,” said Duncan Forgan, who worked on the project, at the University of St Andrews Centre for Exoplanet Science.
There are many alternative explanations that need to be considered when evaluating a potential extraterrestrial signal. “There could be a problem with your telescope or a radio frequency coming from something on Earth,” Forgan said. “You might think you found an alien but actually you found a taxi rank.”
Known as Rio 2.0, the scale is a proposed upgrade of an existing Rio scale that is already used by the alien-hunting community. It assigns scores to Seti (“search for extraterrestrial intelligence”) signals by taking into account both the potential implications of the signal and the likelihood that it is genuine, rather than down to natural or human-made phenomena.
“We are talking about extraordinary claims here and so you need extraordinary evidence to go with them,” Forgan said. “Ideally this means multiple observations from multiple instruments – as well as from different research teams using the same instruments.”
Under the proposals, scientists could issue their own Rio scale number for any interesting signals they detect, but so could fellow academics who review their work for publication. The rating system is also being made available to the public.
“It is clear from citizen science projects that the general public are able to complete similar classification tasks with relatively low amounts of training,” the scientists write in the International Journal of Astrobiology.
There are an estimated 400bn stars in the Milky Way, and evidence shows that most have planets circling them. But with so many stars being observed, there is a constant risk of technical glitches or spurious signals masquerading as potential alien transmissions.
In one of the most recent false alarms, the periodic dimming of a star led to speculation that an advanced extraterrestrial civilisation had built an “alien megastructure” around their star to harvest all of its energy. Thousands of headlines and closer observations later, the real cause turned out to be dust.
Jill Tarter, a co-founder of the Seti Institute in Mountain View, California, and an author of the paper, said the new scale could be used like the Richter scale, which describes the severity of earthquakes. A signal is scored immediately and then continuously updated as new data arrives. More credibility will be given to discoveries with multiple independent Rio scores.
Tarter, who was the inspiration for the alien-seeking Ellie Arroway in Carl Sagan’s novel Contact and the subsequent movie with Jodie Foster, spotted potential extraterrestrial signals three times in her career, but each time found mundane explanations for them. The group of astronomers behind Rio 2.0 say it could be tested on fictional scenarios such as the one in the film, as well as on historical “false alarms” such as the famous “Wow!” signal.
Andrew Siemion, another co-author, and director at the Seti Research Center at the University of California, Berkeley,added: “We absolutely encourage wide assessment of the Rio scale for any purported discovery, particularly by independent scientists. It is critical in any scientific process to have independent review of methods and interpretation.”
The new Rio Scale has been submitted to the International Academy of Astronautics Permanent Committee on Seti for official ratification.

As if a divisive Star Wars film wasn’t bad news enough this Christmas, now an analysis by more than 200 astronomers has been published that shows the mysterious dimming of star KIC 8462852 is not being produced by an alien megastructure.
The evidence points most strongly to a giant cloud of dust occasionally obscuring the star. The cloud was most possibly produced by the collision of two comets or the break-up of a single one. Another option is that the star itself is undergoing some sort of internal convulsion that astronomers have never seen before.
KIC 8462852 is approximately 1,500 light years away from the Earth and hit the headlines in October 2015 when data from Nasa’s Kepler space telescope showed that it was dimming by unexplainably large amounts. The star’s light dropped by 20% first and then 15% making it unique. Even a large planet passing in front of the star would have blocked only about 1% of the light.
For an object to block 15-20%, it would have to be approaching half the diameter of the star itself. With this realisation, a few astronomers began whispering that such a signal would be the kind expected from a gigantic extraterrestrial construction orbiting in front of the star – and the idea of the alien megastructure was born.
Tabetha Boyajian, then at Yale University and now at Louisiana State University, led the investigations into the mysterious signals. It was after her that the star was nicknamed Tabby’s star. She said at the time that a constant monitoring programme was needed to watch the star for more dips.
Today’s new analysis is the result of that programme. It was funded by a Kickstarter campaign that attracted support from more than 1,700 people and raised more than $100,000. In partnership with the Las Cumbres Observatory, a privately-funded organisation that operates 21 telescopes at eight sites around the world, the astronomers monitored the star from March 2016 to December 2017.
In that time they recorded four more dips, though none were as dramatic as the originals, reaching only a percent or two. These were named by the Kickstarter supporters as Elsie and Celeste, Skara Brae and Angkor. Significantly for the analysis, the dimming events were captured at multiple wavelengths.
If an alien megastructure had been causing the drop in light, being a solid object, it would block all wavelengths in the same way, at the same time. That’s not what the team saw. Instead, different wavelengths of light dropped by different amounts. This is exactly what you would expect from starlight passing through a tenuous dust cloud.
It happens because dust grains scatter light depending on its wavelength. Blue light, which has short wavelengths, is scattered more easily than red, which has longer wavelengths. This is why our sky is blue; that colour has been scattered out of the sun’s direct light by the molecules in the air.
In the case of Tabby’s star, the new observations show that it dims more at blue wavelengths than red. Thus, its light is passing through a dust cloud, not being blocked by an alien megastructure in orbit around the star (#sadface).
The new analysis of KIC 8462852 showing these results is to be published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. It reinforces the conclusions reached by Huan Meng, University of Arizona, Tucson, and collaborators in October 2017. They monitored the star at multiple wavelengths using Nasa’s Spitzer and Swift missions, and the Belgian AstroLAB IRIS observatory. These results were published in The Astrophysical Journal.
While it is not aliens this time, the story serves as a valuable reminder that unexpected signals of this kind are definitely the ones to look out for. Something unexplainable in some unexpected observation rather than a deliberate radio message to us is probably the way we are going to spot the presence of extraterrestrials – if they’re out there in the first place, of course.

WETENSCHAP & PLANEET 57,6 miljoen kilometer lijkt misschien ver, maar in termen van planeten is dat relatief. Vanavond staat Mars op precies die afstand van de Aarde en dat is het dichtste dat de rode planeet al kwam in 15 jaar. Het betekent meteen ook dat je hem extra goed kan zien. “Wie vanavond niet kan kijken, hoeft niet te treuren, want Mars blijft ook de komende weken goed zichtbaar. Net als een reeks andere planeten”, zegt Marc Van den Broeck van Volkssterrenwacht Urania.
Hoe uitzonderlijk is het dat Mars zo dichtbij staat?
Als je weet dat de minimale afstand tussen de Aarde en Mars 54,6 miljoen kilometer is en de maximale afstand 401 miljoen kilometer: best uitzonderlijk. In 2003 stond Mars nog dichter: op 55,7 miljoen kilometer. Dat was het dichtste in 60.000 jaar. Pas in 2287 zal dat nog eens gebeuren.
Is Mars nu extra groot? “Nee, en zeker niet zo groot als de maan zoals soms beweerd wordt op het internet”, aldus Marc Van den Broeck. “De maan is met haar straal van 1.738 kilometer maar de helft zo groot als Mars, maar omdat ze op amper 384.400 kilometer van de Aarde staat, zal ze er altijd groter uitzien. Mars is met een gemiddelde afstand van 225 miljoen kilometer altijd maar een stip aan de hemel.”
Wanneer moet ik omhoog kijken? “Mars zal vanavond vrij laat opkomen”, aldus Van den Broeck. “Dat zal rond middernacht zijn.”
Waar moet ik precies kijken?
“Ga op een open plek staan en kijk in zuidoostelijke richting vlak boven de horizon”, zegt Van den Broeck. “In de stad is de kans dat je iets ziet - zelfs bij helder weer - beperkt.”
Wat is er te zien?
Een oranjerode stip, die helderder is dan anders. “Je kan de planeet met het blote oog zien. Maar wie een verrekijker heeft, zal het schouwspel nog beter kunnen waarnemen”, aldus Van den Broeck.
Mis je iets als je vanavond niet kan kijken?
Nee, want ook de komende weken is Mars nog te zien. “Deze weken is het verschil in afstand tussen de Aarde en Mars enkele duizenden kilometers, wat op de totale afstand amper een verschil maakt in waarneembaarheid”, klinkt het bij Urania. De volgende keer dat Mars relatief dicht bij de Aarde zal staan, is in oktober 2020. Dan is de planeet 62,1 miljoen kilometer van ons verwijderd.
Wat is er de komende weken nog te zien?
Heel wat, want ook Venus, Jupiter en Saturnus zijn met het blote oog te zien aan de nachtelijke hemel, vlak boven de horizon. Venus is ’s avonds een helder witte stip in het westen. Ze gaat een uur na de zon onder. Jupiter is zichtbaar als een witte stip in het zuidwesten en gaat voor middernacht onder. Saturnus is een geelachtige stip in het zuiden, rechts van Mars.
Zijn de omstandigheden vanavond niet goed door slechte zichtbaarheid of slecht weer en wil je toch niets missen? NASA zet een livestream op vanuit het Griffith-observatorium in Los Angeles en daarop kan je alles volgen.

Tijdens de maansverduistering zijn boven Amsterdam een aantal onverklaarbare blauwe lichten in de lucht gezien. Uit verschillende delen van de stad kwamen meldingen binnen.
“Rond half 11 ’s avonds zag ik een grote formatie lichten, soort van sterren, snel door de lucht vliegen,” zei Tim, die op dat moment in Amsterdam-Oost naar de bloedmaan stond te kijken.
“Het was een heel indrukwekkend verschijnsel wat moeilijk te verklaren was,” voegde hij toe.
Te snel
“Het konden geen wensballonnen zijn omdat ze te snel bewogen,” aldus Tim. “Ze veranderden tijdens de vlucht van formatie.”
Op de website van UFO Meldpunt Nederland maakte hij melding van de lichten, waarna hij reacties kreeg van andere Amsterdammers die hetzelfde hadden gezien.
“Ik zag ze ook in Noord,” schreef Zeola. “Ik rende naar binnen om mijn kind te halen en die zag ze ook. Ze vlogen razendsnel!”

“Ook gezien, ik dacht dat ik gek werd,” reageerde Lisa. “Ik heb ook nooit eerder op een site als deze gezeten. Ik was zo gefrustreerd dat ik [hierover] niks las op het internet. Blij dat ik niet de enige ben!”
Sterrenkundige Lucas Ellerbroek dacht dat het satellieten waren, terwijl iemand anders erop wees dat bij een trouwerij ballonnen met lichtjes waren opgelaten.

Over a half of all Russians believe that US astronauts have never been on the Moon and that the US authorities and NASA covered up this fact by forging proof of moon landings, a new poll shows.
In the recent survey titled “Science and society: authority and trust” experts of the Russian state-run public opinion research center VTSIOM wrote that 57 percent of Russians currently think that the US claims of successful manned Moon missions are lies and that the documented proof of these missions was forged. Only 24 percent of respondents said that they believed that the manned Moon missions were real.
Researchers also specified that 65 percent of those who think that the US authorities are lying about the moon landings have secondary education.
However, Russians are not only suspicious about the NASA moon missions. 59 percent of the poll participants share the opinion that “scientists conceal the truth from common people.” Even among Russians with higher education the proportion was extremely high – at 45 percent.
When facing the question if the scientists possessed some “objective knowledge” about the reality the Russian public again split into almost equal parts: 42 percent agreed that this was true while 41 percent said that in their opinion the scientists who claimed this weren’t telling the truth, albeit in good faith.
In the same poll, three percent of Russians said that they personally supported the flat Earth theory. 93 percent said that they shared the traditional opinion of Earth being a ball-shaped planet and four percent found it too difficult to answer the question.
As far as space aliens are concerned, 45 percent of the poll participants said that they believed in the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and 42 percent think that aliens either don’t exist or for some reason prefer not to visit Earth and contact humans. 18 percent of respondents said that in their opinion the authorities were hiding proof of alien visits from the general public.

Meer dan de helft van de Russen is van mening dat Amerikaanse astronauten nooit op de maan zijn geweest en dat de Amerikaanse overheid en de NASA de maanlandingen in scène hebben gezet. Dat blijkt uit een nieuwe peiling.
Uit onderzoek van de Russische opiniepeiler VTsIOM blijkt dat 57 procent van de Russen denkt dat de succesvolle Amerikaanse maanmissies berusten op leugens en dat het bewijs voor deze missies is vervalst.
Minder dan een kwart (24 procent) gelooft dat we echt op de maan zijn geland.
Waarheid verborgen houden
De Russische bevolking is niet alleen sceptisch over de maanmissies. Bijna twee derde (59 procent) stelt dat ‘wetenschappers de waarheid verborgen houden voor het volk’.
Opvallend is dat ook bijna de helft (45 procent) van de hoogopgeleiden deze mening is toegedaan.
Op de vraag of wetenschappers objectieve kennis hebben over de realiteit, antwoordde 41 procent ontkennend. Dit deel zei dat de wetenschappers niet de waarheid vertellen.
Buitenaardse beschavingen
Drie procent van de Russen gelooft in de platte aarde-theorie, terwijl 93 procent zei dat aarde bolvormig is.
Er werden ook vragen gesteld over ruimtewezens. Bijna de helft van de ondervraagden (45 procent) zei te geloven in het bestaan van buitenaardse beschavingen.

42 procent zei te denken dat aliens niet bestaan of om de één of andere reden geen contact willen maken met mensen of de aarde niet willen bezoeken.
Bijna een vijfde (18 procent) zei dat de overheid bewijs voor buitenaards bezoek achterhoudt voor de bevolking.
The Great Pyramid of Giza remains one of the world’s most enduring sources of mystery. For thousands of years, the Great Pyramid has stood in the desert of what is now El Giza, Egypt to serve as a monument to the ingenuity and technical prowess of its builders. After its construction, the Great Pyramid bore the distinction of the world’s tallest man-made structure for close to 4,000 years. Not bad for an oversized mortuary.
One of the reasons the pyramids remain mysterious is the fact that there is still significant disagreement over how the pyramids could have been constructed with the materials and methods available at the time. Aside from the mystery over how the pyramids at Giza were built, there is the longstanding suspicion that the pyramids might have some unknown purpose or function which has been lost to history. Hidden structures and voids continue to be discovered within the pyramids, leading some to speculate that perhaps the pyramids still might contain more than meets the eye despite the countless research projects and excavations conducted on them over the years.
To build on that speculation, a new study conducted by an international team of physicists has concluded that the chambers inside the Great Pyramid might actually be capable of capturing and focusing electromagnetic energy. According to the authors, their research has “revealed that the Pyramid’s chambers can collect and concentrate electromagnetic energy for the both surrounding conditions” and “shown that basically the Pyramid scatters the electromagnetic waves and focuses them.” The study has been published in the Journal of Applied Physics.
While this study sounds like it might hint at further high strangeness surrounding the ancient Egyptians, researchers found that only electromagnetic radiation within a specific, narrow wavelength has the ability to resonate within the Pyramid. Furthermore, this discovery is purely theoretical, having been discovered through the use of advanced simulations. As scientific supervisor and coordinator of the research Dr. Andrey Evlyukhin points out in a press release, “due to the lack of information about the physical properties of the pyramid, we had to use some assumptions.” Still, he notes that “with these assumptions made, we obtained interesting results that can find important practical applications.”
It remains unknown if the ancient Egyptians who built the Great Pyramid were aware of this unique feature – or even if they knew what electromagnetic radiation was at all. While theories alleging the ancient Egyptians possessed technology or scientific knowledge far more advanced than what we know are often thrown around, we’ve yet to discover any concrete evidence supporting such claims. Could it be possible that ancient cultures possessed technology as advanced or even more advanced than our own? Who knows what we might find in the ground if we dig deep enough.
All of this has happened before. All of this will happen again.

They hate and despise us, but, paradoxically, they cannot live without us.
Have you ever woken up, drained and utterly exhausted, from a terrifying nightmare that didn’t seem like just another, regular dream? If the answer is “Yes,” then you may have been “fed” upon by these infernal things. When we sleep, we are at our most vulnerable. And that’s exactly how they want us. A dream is not always a dream, as strange as that might sound. Sometimes it’s an indication that, as you sleep, and as your guard is down, these voraciously hungry monsters are, in essence, eating you.
Among these creatures are the Shadow People: hostile things that typically manifest between 1:00 A.M. and 4:00 A.M. and who have the ability paralyze us and drain our bodies of energy in much the same way that the vampires of folklore would drain people of blood. In fact, and as the book shows, such distorted tales of vampirism almost certainly had their origins in the worlds, and actions, of these multi-dimensional things.
In a paper prepared for me a few years ago, Jason Offutt wrote, in part: “Like the Men in Black, the Hat Man has floated in the periphery of our lives for decades, observing our movements, occasionally interacting with us, but always threatening. Charles was 13 years old in 1949 and lived with his mother, brother and grandmother in San Jose, California, when the Hat Man crept into his life. He lay in bed with his brother, talking before they drifted off to sleep, when the window sash moved. ‘A dark figure dressed in a black cloak and wearing a black hat with a wide brim appeared in the window,’ Charles said. ‘No facial features were discernible on this person, but I took it to be a man.’ This Hat Man opened the window and reached through with both hands. ‘I thought he was going to climb in,’ Charles said. ‘At that moment I started yelling my head off.’ As Charles’s young voice pierced the night, the Hat Man closed the window, turned and disappeared from sight. The next morning, Charles saw the window was locked from the inside. ‘I saw something,’ Charles said. ‘What in the hell was it?'”
Equally dangerous are what can accurately be termed supernatural seducers: dangerous entities that thrive on sexual energy are also part of the equation. A highly-charged, sexual dream may be deliberately initiated by such things, which, over the centuries, have been referred to as Incubus, Succubus, Lilith, and the Old Hag. Also relevant to this angle is the reason why so many supernatural encounters occur at so-called “Lovers Lane” locations. In these cases, voyeurism and sexual emotion lead to feeding. Indeed, at such Lovers Lane’s we can find numerous encounters with the likes off Bigfoot, Mothman, Goat-Men, and aliens.
Poltergeists – violent entities that can cause chaos in the home and who delight in tormenting us as much as they are energized by us – are also part of the equation, as are thought-forms and Tulpas; creatures created within the human mind and the depths of our imaginations, but which can be externalized and given a strange form of life in the real world. Key to the survival of Tulpas and thought-forms is that we believe in them. The stronger our belief, the greater the ability of the Tulpas to live. In other words, they feed on – and coldly and carefully nurture – our belief-systems.
Then, there is the Slenderman: a sinister figure which started out as an Internet experiment, but which has mutated drastically in the last few years, to the extent that numerous people report having seen the Slenderman in the real world. It’s a perfect example of a modern day Tulpa / thought-form running wild in our reality. Witnesses describe seeing the scrawny, black-suited figure looming over their beds in the dead of night, extracting energy and dining in a fashion that we don’t even want to think about.
The Men in Black fall into this category, too: those who have had UFO encounters and who have been visited by the pale-faced ghouls known as the MIB state that while being threatened and intimidated by the Men in Black they have felt cold, clammy, weak, and light-headed. As many of the unfortunate witnesses have stated, it’s as if the MIB are draining them in the same way that a flashlight drains a battery. And, using the same analogy, when the light finally goes out, we do, too. To slightly alter the words of Charles Fort: The stark and terrifying truth is that our planet may well be one big farm. And, for these energy-based entities, we are the cattle.

A sky watcher has captured an unknown object traveling through our solar system and going behind Jupiter.
It is difficult to say whether it is a huge alien spacecraft or something else, like a meteor, asteroid or eventually a satellite speeding through our solar system.
MrMB333 talks about Jupiter but is it really Jupiter or could it be another planet, anyway an interesting footage and if you look closely, it looks like the object has even disturbed the planet.
