Atlantis is the Holy Grail of mythical islands and nations. First mentioned by Plato, his writings led those searching for it to the Atlantic Ocean, hoping to find the actual island or one that could have inspired the myth. While it has never officially been found, there’s no lack of ancient maps showing its location in the Atlantic. Many frustrated with finding it there have gravitated to other bodies of water where the lighting is better and the islands are easier to find — suspecting those making the original reports were confused, using it allegorically or perpetrating a hoax. That tendency exists even today, as a historian now claims a small rock island near Ireland is actually Atlantis peeking out from the ocean depths. Is it big enough for a hotel and a cruise ship dock?

Rockall
Matt Sibson, creator of the Ancient Architects YouTube channel, claims in an interview with The Daily Star that he believes the tiny granite island of Rockall in the North Atlantic is the highest point of the sunken Atlantis. Located about 300 km (187 miles) west of Scotland, 420 km (263.0 miles) northwest of Ireland and 700 km (440 miles) south of Iceland, Rockall belongs to the UK as a part of Scotland, although Ireland seems to want this place, which is classified by the United Nations as one of those “rocks which cannot sustain human habitation or economic life of their own.” (Sounds like some places in the U.S. too.) That could change with all of the tourism business generated when Sibson convinces the world it’s Atlantis. If only he had an old map.

Actually, he does, but on it (and some others, including the infamous Zeno map which is a proven hoax) the spot currently occupied by Rockall is called Frisland or Friesland (which is also the name of an unrelated province of the Netherlands).
“Friesland has never been officially identified but featured in many maps between the 1500s and 1600s, before disappearing completely. Why would they make up an island completely in the middle of the ocean? I think there was something huge there, and there is still something there now to prove it – the last remaining part of Friesland.”
Sibson also has a modern, not mythological, reason for the disappearance of Frisland multiple times dating back to 13,000 years ago when Plato’s Atlantis allegedly was still above water … climate change.
“This was when Earth was coming out of the Ice Age and everything was getting warmer but, all of a sudden, about 12,900 years ago, it went freezing cold again. Then about 1000 years later it warmed again and it has been getting warmer to this day.”
Sibson also works in a comet hit, which is a theoretical but still unproven occurrence about the same time that may have created earthquakes, tsunamis and other stresses to the Earth’s crust, causing … you guessed it … the island of Frisland/Atlantis to sink into the Atlantic. Subsequent environmental changes could explain its alleged reappearance and subsequent disappearance on maps from 1500s/1600s and the existence of all that’s left … Rockall.

That’s a lot of extrapolation (which Sibson admits) between the three remote dots of Plato’s writings, old and potentially unreliable maps of a disappearing island, and a tiny disputed rock islet. Some searches of Rockall and especially the area around it would probably resolve this. Actually, they’ve already taken place. In 2013, surveys by Marine Scotland didn’t find evidence of Frisland or Atlantis but did discover four new species – a sea snail, two clams and a marine worm – living around a cold seep, which is a crack in the ocean floor where hot hydrocarbons leak out.

Saturn’s largest moon, Titan, is weird. Really weird. Its atmosphere is unlike that of any other moon in our entire solar system — in fact, it’s a lot like what scientists believe Earth’s was like during its first billion years.
Titan’s atmosphere also includes organic compounds called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), precursors to the molecules that gave rise to life on Earth. Previously, we thought they could only form under high-temperature conditions. But the average surface temperature on Titan is a frigid -179 degrees Celsius (-290 degrees Fahrenheit).
Now, researchers think they’ve found the “missing link” that explains how Titan’s atmosphere could include these compounds. The knowledge could better our understanding of our own planet’s infancy and provide new clues in the search for extraterrestrial life.
Early Earth
In a study published Monday in the journal Nature Astronomy, U.S. and Russian researchers show how gases already known to exist on Titan could have combined to produce PAHs. They did this using a combination of computer simulations and practical experiments.
The finding isn’t remarkable simply because it teaches us something new about Titan — it could also help us better understand Earth’s history.
“The gas make up of Titan is similar to prebiotic Earth — hydrocarbons and nitrogen and the absence of oxygen — hence, scientists are keen to see how chemistry is evolving or has evolved on Titan to provide clues to Earth’s atmospheric content,” Berkeley researcher and study author Musahid Ahmed told Futurism.
The better we can understand the conditions that led to the formation of the Earth as we know it, the better equipped we’ll be to figure out exactly what conditions are necessary for the formation of life — and where we might want to look for it elsewhere in the universe.

On 8 July 1947, General Eisenhower ordered, Lt. General Nathan Twining the commander of the Air Materiel Command (AMC), to go to White Sands to make an appraisal of the reported unidentified objects being kept there. With a team of experts, technicians, and scientists Twining was directed to not only appraise the unidentified flying object, but also to deal with the military, political, and psychological situation surrounding its existence. General Twining flight logs of 1947 have been recently released, so his location between July 7 and July 9th 1947 has been confirmed. This trip to New Mexico was Twining’s only trip during the summer of 1947 to inspect a crashed UFO IPU Summary Page 4 states the following: – 7th July 1947 – Twinning went to Alamogordo AAF for a secret meeting with Army Air Force Chief Of Staff General Spaatz and to view recovered remains of craft from crash landing site 20 miles northwest of Socorro.
8th July 1947 – Twinning went to Kirtland AAF to inspect parts recovered from power plant.
9th July 1947 – Twining went to White Sands Proving Ground to inspect craft being stored there.
10th July 1947 – Twining made inspection of R&D facilities at Alamogordo and then returned to Wright Field.
General Nathan Twining was the commander of the Air Materiel Command that was deeply emerged into research: aircraft design, guided missiles, propulsion, electronics, meteorology and climatology, aviation medicine, armament, winterization and atomic energy. Scientists and engineers of AMC investigated the effects of high speed, high altitude flight upon the human body and aircraft.
Air Materiel Command was the place where much of the new technology for the Air Force would be developed such as the entire guided missile program, and it became the responsibility of the United States Air Force in 1947. This Secret document was downgraded under the Freedom of Information Act.
Air Material Commands Opinion Concerning “Flying Discs” Lt. General Nathan Twining

As requested by AC/AS-2 (General George Schulgen) there is presented below the considered opinion of this command concerning the so-called “Flying Discs.” This opinion is based on interrogation report data furnished by AC/AS-2 and preliminary studied by personnel of T-2 and Aircraft Laboratory, Engineering Division T-3. This opinion was arrived at in a conference between personnel from the Air Institute of Technology, Intelligence T-2, Office, Chief of Engineering Division, and the Aircraft, Power Plant and Propeller Laboratories of Engineering Division T-3.
It is the opinion that:
The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious.
There are objects probably approximately the shape of a disc, of such appreciable size as to appear to be as large as man-made aircraft.
There is the possibility that some of the incidents may be caused by natural phenomena, such as meteors.
The reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of climb, maneuverability (particularly in roll), and action which must be considered evasive when sighted or contacted by friendly aircraft and radar, lend belief to the possibility that some of the objects are controlled manually, automatically, or remotely.
The apparent common description of the objects is as follows:
(1) Metallic or light reflecting surface.
(2) Absence of trail, except in a few instances when the object apparently was operating under high performance conditions.
(3) Circular or elliptical in shape, flat on bottom and domed on top.
(4) Several reports of well kept formation flights varying from three to nine objects.
(5) Normally no associated sound, except in three instances a substantial rumbling roar was noted.
(6) Level flight speeds normally about 300 knots are estimated.
Editor’s Note: While I was giving a speech at the Roswell Museum a young man introduced himself and told me his father had flown alien bodies and debris of the Roswell disc to Wright Field in 1947. He was the co-pilot on Captain Pappy Oliver Henderson’s C-54 crew and was convinced the debris was not from this world. More Data on UFO Crash at San Augustin, New Mexico
From 1980 to 1999, John Andrews sat on the knowledge of the configuration of the crashed discs to resemble the “Wave rider-stingray-cetacean-form” . He died on Good Friday, 1999 of a cancer similar to Ben Rich’s.
Bill McDonald obtained detailed information about the Roswell alien craft from Army counter intelligence personnel he called Rick and Frank who carefully described, sketched and overdrew on my sketches until the lateral profile of the craft was exactingly close to the profile of a harbor porpoise a species of cetacean known as Dall’s Porpoise. The stingray-skate-like diamond triangular wing form profiles were subtly different–But close enough to satisfy a detective’s standards regarding multiple witness composites.
The hexagonal power cell belly tiles were identically described by both men, to include being subducted under a thin rim layer of approximately eighteen inches. There were big hexagons near the nose, shrinking in size towards the tail and trailing wing edges.
John Andrews independently confirmed that Kelly and Ben also described a complex “Power grid” on the ships belly. Likewise for the cockpit canopy/forward sensor array shield–Only subtle variances in shape and placing. Frank thought it was a cockpit canopy. Rick stated it was a cover for a multi-tiered instrument array. The craft carried seven aliens.
Witness “Dutch” Bischoff in Anaheim (Who claimed to be a CIC auxiliary pilot) stated it was a “Half nose cone.”– May 1993—Long before my interviews with Rick and Frank.
My friend Len (Stringfield) stated very surprising things over the phone in December ’94. Len was VERY specific about the skin of the flight crew: He stated that macroscopically, the skin resembled the tiny, granulated smooth beaded scales of the tiny albino Geckos inhabiting the islands of the South Pacific.
He stated that his physicians reported that the skin was NOT the semipermiable layers that hold in moisture and fluids and hold out dangerous rot bacilli. He stated that it was like synthetic screen mesh under a microscope.
He stated that the flight crew members would have leaked like sieves if they were walking around outside the landed craft and not encased in some artificial cellophane-like substance. Infection would have occurred in seconds. They apparently worked together navigating and operating the craft. Rick July 1995 interviews stated that when he crawled through the wreckage he noticed something very odd about the texturing of the floor of the flight deck of the interior crew cabin. He stated that it was the oddest form of “Antiskid” imaginable. He stated that examining experts had compared the deck flooring to rings and swirls like “Fingerprint” and “Coral growth” patterns. Rick stated that in later years, he had occasion to examine a kidney dialysis bag and that when cut open, the microtubule packing was similar to the crystalline layers of microtubes in the floor layers. He also described vented louvers in the flooring edges on either side of the crew compartment which when he drew them reminded me of the gill slits of sharks and rays.
I put the skin and the flooring descriptions together and came up with the fluid life support system / flight ballast inertial dampening buffer. Oxygenated fluorocarbons approximate the weight of water but evaporate fast after a hull breech. Sterile fluids would not only sustain life but would also cushion the flight crew from high “G” aerial maneuvers and death from rapid onset of infections and rapid catastrophic dehydration.
All witnesses told me that the craft was unusually light for its size. Without some form of heavy ballast, it would have fluttered like a kite without a tail in atmospheric flight mode. Trim was critical for a craft of its size and weight. Every seat needed to be filled. Only a fluid fulfills all ballast and all delicate trim requirements for atmospheric flight–Magneto-aero electric propulsion in the air. Certain species of frogs breathe and receive nutrients directly through their skin tissue membranes. They die fast out of the water. Their lungs are partially atrophied from lack of use. Art Campbell has done an incredible job of researching the July 2, 1947 crash of a small, extraterrestrial craft in the Plains of St Augustin, New Mexico not far from the Roswell crash. There is speculation that the two UFOs collided or were affected by radars.
Art Campbell writes, “In May of 2012 a group of 15 people found a great deal of important material near the San Augustin, NM crash site that is thought to have happened at the same time as the Roswell crash. By far the most important finding was this I-beam. It is 2 inches across at the flanges and 13 1/4 inch long. Rather crude flanged holes at each end indicate it may have been a repair. Bottom skin, honeycomb, and I-beam might have been scraped off a craft on the first skip down. Below the I-beam is another piece of 38’oneycomb. This one had some skin attached, believed to be just inside the interior. Some excitement occurred when a faint triangle, circle and other markings were found near the right end of beam. The beam is probably the most significant find at the crash site and wants to make sure everybody knows about it. The beam looks more like an H-beam used to distribute horizontal loads. Crude flanged holes are a mystery. It is possible it was used more than once in a repair of some sort.

Art Campbell and his research team found a beam with a metallurgical composition primarily aluminum with high silicon, manganese, copper, and iron. The UFO had the general shape of a Sting Ray and many of the parts seemed to be similar to underwater plants and coral. The team found several pieces of beams that likely were part of a grid of beams that covered the entire bottom of the UFO (probably crisscrossing the bottom of the craft in 10-12″‘ squares) supporting the honeycomb sandwich. The craft when it skipped down lost allot of its bottom and this beam was probably ripped out. Also light weight honey comb material was found at the San Augustin crash site and also at one in Japan.
Honeycombs nearly identical were found 6000 miles apart and 41 years later, Honeycomb on left are from San Augustin, Magdalena Plains, New Mexico crash debris. The Shikoku Island, Japan debris were found in 1971, on the right by Mr. Shioto who saw the UFO explode and found the debris.
All of the samples were tested with a volt-ohmmeter, and were found to conduct electricity. Fifty-six (56) elements were detected in at least one sample. The aluminum contained alloys not available in aluminum in 1947. The coatings on all metals were blended with metal and rich in silica, titania, magnesia, sulfate, phosphate, and chloride, were almost certainly not available in 1947. The coatings are similar to those removed from people claiming alien contact. The samples still emit magnetic and electrical energy indicating these samples include nanotechnological smart metals of probable alien origin. Analysis of some of the metal indicated it was not from Earth.
Campbell found many items which are as follows:++++The major component of the metallic portions of all of the samples proved to be aluminum (Al). All of the samples appeared to be composed of aluminum alloys, with varying amounts of alloying elements. Other elements detected included beryllium (Be), carbon (C), oxygen (O), sodium (Na), magnesium (Mg), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), chlorine (Cl), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), titanium (Ti), iron (Fe), and palladium (Pd). The coating layers of the coated samples were much different in composition from the metallic portions of the samples. Aluminum was still a major component of the coatings, but was present to a lesser degree than in the metallic portions of the samples. The amount of oxygen in the coatings was much greater than in the metallic phase of the samples, indicating that the aluminum was probably present as an oxide layer, rather than as free metal. The proportions of carbon, silicon, and chlorine in the coatings were also higher than in the metal, indicating.

An artificial 3-layered container about the size of a human fist, believed to be some kind of an artificial body organ.* Seven kinds of unusual foil containing high levels of silicon, iron and manganese (unknown to the foil industry.)* Some strange wax material which may have been some kind of an insulation coating inside the UFO* Also found of a similar material was the remains of a small structural member (possibly a tiny I-beam)/* Possible alien sole shoes were found of different sizes of an extremely narrow width. Art’s book goes into great detail with photographs and analyses of these shoe soles.
The fluid would also allow for near but not quite neutral buoyancy in seawater. Her shape suggests that she could most likely dive into the ocean and fly out again with slightly positive buoyancy easily offset by her magneto-hydrodynamic propulsion modes underwater. The material and buoyancy suggests underwater bases and possible manufacture by aliens who live underwater. Our oceans are obviously an alien world where other forms of human like creatures may have developed.
The UFOs may use holograms to produce misty effects, shape shifting, and other means to camouflage their appearance. They appear to light up that may be part of an electronic shield or the propulsion system. Some UFOs leave radioactive effects and some leave burns on humans. This may come from particle beams used for radioactive control.. They also have the ability to appear and disappear which may be accomplished by time travel. Within the UFO they appear to have an inner space separated from the force of gravity and universal space that allows extra ordinary maneuvers and may overcome time as we know it.
This grid material may form a force field separating the craft from the universal gravitation force field allowing them to maneuver like there is no gravity and reverse time. It is likely a strong electron current flows around and thru the craft. High electron speeds may create a time change. Many reports claim the aliens are able to manipulate time arriving at a destination in minutes or returning to a previous position instantly. Lt Col. Corso explained that in some ways the craft were also time machines. I know this sounds impossible by our standards but they are thousands of years ahead of us. The humming sound often reported indicates that are using alternating current control components causing the surface of the craft to vibrate rather than having large internal machinery. One alternating current component may be the 7.5 Hertz signal sometimes recorded from these craft.
An alternating current component could be a higher frequency component that could cause the outside surface of the craft to emit a light. The energy for the light could come from the neutrinos causing the electrons to move up and down in energy levels as required to produce light. Russian Navy UFO Record Say Aliens Love Oceans
The Russian navy has declassified its records of encounters with unidentified objects technologically surpassing anything humanity ever built, reports Svobodnaya Press news website. The records dating back to Soviet times were compiled by a special navy group collecting reports of unexplained incidents delivered by submarines and military ships. The group was headed by deputy Navy commander Admiral Nikolay Smirnov, and the documents reveal numerous cases of possible UFO encounters, the website says. Vladimir Azhazha, former navy officer and a famous Russian UFO researcher, says the materials are of great value.
“Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more – with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water,” he said. On one occasion a nuclear submarine, which was on a combat mission in the Pacific Ocean, detected six unknown objects. After the crew failed to leave behind their pursuers by maneuvering, the captain ordered to surface. The objects followed suit, took to the air, and flew away. Many mysterious events happened in the region of Bermuda Triangle, recalls retired submarine commander Rear Admiral Yury Beketov. Instruments malfunctioned with no apparent reason or detected strong interference and numerous planes have been lost. The former navy officer says this could be deliberate disruption by UFOs.
“On several occasions the instruments gave reading of material objects moving at incredible speed. Calculations showed speeds of about 230 knots, or 400 kph. Speeding so fast is a challenge even on the surface. But water resistance is much higher. It was like the objects defied the laws of physics. There’s only one explanation: the creatures who built them far surpass us in development,” Beketov said.
Navy intelligence veteran, Captain 1st rank Igor Barklay comments: “Ocean UFOs often show up wherever our or NATO’s fleets concentrate such as near the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. They are most often seen in the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, and also in the Caribbean Sea.”
Another place where people often report UFO encounters is Russia’s Lake Baikal, the deepest fresh water body in the world. Fishermen tell of powerful lights coming from the deep and objects flying up from the water. In one case in 1982, a group of military divers training at Baikal spotted a group of humanoid creatures dressed in silvery suits. The encounter happened at a depth of 50 meters, and the divers tried to catch the strangers. Three of the seven men died, while four others were severely injured. “I think about underwater bases and say: why not? Nothing should be discarded,” says Vladimir Azhazha. “Skepticism is the easiest way: believe nothing, do nothing. People rarely visit great depths. So it’s very important to analyze what they encounter there.”

Looking at the image the first thing Scientist Ron Stewart noticed was the size and shape of the shadow produced by the object that NASA points to as the Lander, it is nearly twice the size of the crater in front of it. The photo shows the shadow of the Tower very clearly, it is estimated that the Tower is over two miles high. The Tower is also thought to be made of a metal not seen on Earth with manufacturing processes not know to humans. The fact that the Tower is over two miles high and was placed on the lunar surface means it is beyond human capacity to build it? NASA plans to start building a moon-orbiting space station called the Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway in 2022. This outpost will be a waypoint for future missions to the lunar surface and more-distant destinations, such as Mars, agency officials say.

The moon has not superseded Mars as a human-spaceflight target, despite NASA’s current focus on getting astronauts to Earth’s nearest neighbor, agency officials stressed. The Red Planet remains the ultimate destination, and the moon will serve as a stepping stone along the way, Jim Bridenstine, NASA administrator. “The moon is the proving ground, and Mars is the goal,” Bridenstine said during testimony before the Subcommittee on Space, Science and Competitiveness, part of the U.S. Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.
“The glory of the moon is that it’s only a three-day journey home,” Bridenstine added. “So, we can prove all of the technologies, we can reduce all of the risks, and work on another world. And we can do it all at the moon, where, if there is a problem, if there is an emergency, we know that we can get people home.”
Far from delaying a crewed Mars mission, which NASA aims to execute in the 2030s, the current and near-future moon work should “accelerate our path to get to Mars,” Bridenstine said.
This reassurance is in keeping with the language of Space Policy Directive 1 (SPD 1), which has spurred much of the moon work. SPD 1, which President Donald Trump signed in December of 2017, instructs NASA to return astronauts to the moon as part of a sustainable exploration program that will eventually bring more-distant destinations, such as Mars, within reach. By Alex Swoyer – The Washington Times – October 3, 2018, reports, Christine Blasey Ford’s ex-boyfriend has sent a letter to the Judiciary Committee contradicting her claims last week that she never coached anyone about how to take a polygraph test, Fox News reported..
The ex-boyfriend, whose name was redacted from the letter Fox posted, said he dated Ms. Blasey Ford for roughly six years and she never mentioned a sexual assault in her past, nor did she seem afraid of flying or of enclosed spaces. Ms Ford last week testified that she was assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh when they were in high school — and said it left her afraid of tight spaces without escape routes.
She also testified that she had been reluctant to come to Washington to testify because she was afraid of flying. The ex-boyfriend also said he recalled Ms. Blasey Ford, a psychologist by training, coaching a friend, Monica McLeam, on how to take a polygraph test in preparation for a Fbi job interview.
“Dr. Ford explained in detail what to expect, how polygraphs worked and helped Monica McLean become familiar and less nervous about the exam. Dr. Ford was able to help because of her background in psychology,” the man said in the letter.
During the hearing last week Ms. Blasey Ford told Rachel Mitchell, the sex-crimes prosecutor and Senate the GOP hired to question her, that she “never” coached anyone or gave tips about how to take a polygraph.
MITCHELL: Have you ever taken any other polygraphs in your life?
MITCHELL: And I don’t just mean countermeasures, but I mean just any sort of tips, or anything like that.
FORD: No. I was scared of the test itself, but was comfortable that I could tell the information, and the test would reveal whatever it was going to reveal. I didn’t expect it to be as long as it was going to be, so it was a little bit stressful.
MITCHELL: Have you ever given tips or advice to somebody who was looking to take a polygraph test?
Ms. McLean put out a statement, following Fox News’ report, denying she ever had help from Ms. Blasey Ford.
“I have NEVER had Christine Blasey Ford, or anybody else, prepare me, or provide any other type of assistance whatsoever in connection with any polygraph exam I have taken at anytime,” she said.
According to the New York Post, Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley contacted Ms. Blasey Ford’s lawyers once he receive the letter, saying it “raises specific concerns about the reliability of Ford’s polygraph-examination results.”
The committee retweeted the Fox News story Tuesday.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, criticized Republicans for releasing the letter, which also contained details of the relationship between Ms. Blasey Ford and the unnamed man.
“Now, in the midst of an FBI investigation, Republicans are interviewing former boyfriends of both Dr. Fordand Deborah Ramirez in a transparent attempt to discredit them,” she said in a statement. Ford provided the Post with the polygraph results as well as session notes from her couples therapist written in 2012.
The therapist’s notes do not name Kavanaugh but record Ford’s claim of being attacked by students “from an elitist boys’ school” who went on to become “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington”. The therapist’s notes also say four boys were involved, which Ford attributed to an error by the therapist.
No reports of the Senate Judiciary Committee interacting with a former boyfriend of Ms. Ramirez, who was the second woman to accuse Judge Kavanaugh, have been made public.
Ms. Feinstein said. “The terrible treatment of Dr. Ford and Ms. Ramirez tells every woman in this country to keep sexual assault to themselves.“

Santa Cruz — She was outside with her dog on October 2, 2018, and saw a glowing white object. It was not a jet plane which regularly pass over going north to SFO. This object was traveling in different direction and was glowing white and moving slowly from SE to NW. She took one photo on her I-Phone and sent it to me (her friend) via Facebook. I looked at the photo with a strong magnifying glass and saw a glowing white saucer shape with dome center, ‘the classic UFO”. She was especially taken by the whiteness of the object at 6:41 PM PST. Holmdel — I was flying my drone (A parrot bebop 2) shooting video at 1080p 30 frames per second, just ascending to do a 7 minute flight on September 3, 2018. It wasn’t until I reviewed the video that I saw the object fly in and out of exactly one frame at an incredible rate of speed. At first I didn’t notice it because the speed seems to almost make it invisible. Then something caught my eye. I slowed down the video using movie. If I have the frame rate speed correct that means it moved in 0.04 seconds . Its trajectory would have blown apart the trees or made some sort of sound. It was practically silent. Bloomington — My husband and I were driving home from Minneapolis, and when we exited the highway on September 30, 2018, we saw a small-ish band of light in the sky. As we continued on the road, the circular “orb-ish” object appeared to get larger, with about a dozen points of brighter light, with a slightly dimmer ring connecting them.
It’s just hovering in the sky, no movement.

It was a very warm evening on September 28, 2019. My girlfriend and I were sitting in our back yard enjoying looking at the stars. I had my Luna Optics LN-DB60 HD Digital, Night vision binoculars with a recorder and was searching the sky and recording occasionally for practice. My girlfriend noticed a bright light in the sky and at first we thought it was an airplane. I started filming the object and noticed it was moving a bit slower than the airplanes and the light was brighter and steady. It moved across the northern sky from west to east silently. Saint Bathans — We pulled into the lake to take photos that is only meters from the “haunted historical St Bathans Hotel”. My partner and I observed the lake and as I’m an avid photographer, took many photos. The only real observation while in the location was the “weird shape” of what we thought was the sun. Something has dawned upon me while writing this, the photos were taken at 14.25. This particular photo was taken on my iPhone with a fast shutter speed.

London — It’s an older video that I’ve just got around to sharing. It’s perhaps nothing but in January 2017 my family and I observed an object at high altitude that appeared flashing and at very high altitude moving steadily across the sky in a northerly direction.

Mysterious lights caught on a time-lapse video recorded from a pier in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in early August have triggered conspiracy theorists who claim the footage is evidence of a UFO sighting.
The recording, which shows lights hovering in the night sky above a Myrtle Beach pier, was captured on August 5 and later uploaded onto website Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) on October 4.
The footage was also shared on YouTube on Sunday by user UFO Zone, who stated in the video's description that it shows a "massive ‘spaceship'" lingering above the area during a thunderstorm.
"I was taking the pictures off the edge of a long pier after dark, so there were no reflective surfaces around," the unidentified filmer who shared the recording with the site wrote. "I did not notice the objects until I returned home and checked the photograph and video."
The individual noted that they had been intending to simply capture "pictures and time-lapse [video] of the incoming storm."
Commenters on both MUFON and UFO Zone's page were quick to shut down the claims being made, with some suggesting the lights were "all internal camera lens reflections."
"It's just lens flare from the bright pinpoint lights below in one of the lens elements," Buzz K wrote on YouTube. "Nothing to see here. Move along back to your Bud Light. Dilly dilly."
Another unconvinced user wrote, "I think I saw bigfoot on the ferris wheel."
The latest reporting on puzzling and eyebrow-raising content comes days after a "mysterious object" washed ashore on South Carolina's Seabrook Island. Photos of the suspicious object were uploaded and shared on Facebook by the state's Lowcountry Marine Mammal Network, a nonprofit tasked with increasing awareness and education regarding marine mammals of the Palmetto State.

"There's no metal on it. The whole thing is just layers of foam," Lauren Rust, founder and executive director of the nonprofit, told the Charleston Post and Courier. "It also doesn't look like it's been in the water that long. You'd think if it were in the water [for a long period of time], it would be covered in barnacles and all sorts of [sea life]."
Officials have since taken the strange object away in order to investigate the matter and possibly solve the mystery of its origins.
A new IPCC report suggests that the world is completely off track when it comes to limiting climate change to 1.5 degrees Celsius — instead, we’re more likely to go towards 3 degrees. The window isn’t shut just yet, but we need to act now, otherwise, the worldwide damage would be massive.
The world is heating up. We can put our heads in the sand all we want, but the fact is temperatures are rising as a result of us burning CO2 — and it’s time to act. Three years ago, in Paris, world leaders made a necessary first step: they agreed to take measures to limit at 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. They even snuck in the more ambitious goal of sticking to 1.5C. While many rightfully feel that the Paris Agreement is not nearly enough and we need much more ambitious actions, it was still a critical step in the right direction. Finally, it seemed that the world had come together to tackle climate change. But in the three years that have passed, politicians have not brought about that much change. This is where the new report comes in.
The 33-page report titled ‘Summary for Policymakers’ was published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a scientific and intergovernmental body that provides a scientific view of climate change and its political and economic impacts. The IPCC is essentially the leading body monitoring climate change research, which they use to provide recommendations to policymakers.
The picture this report paints is essentially saying that our planet is feverish because of us, and we need massive investments to curb this heating.
“Scientists might want to write in capital letters, ‘ACT NOW, IDIOTS,’ but they need to say that with facts and numbers,” said Kaisa Kosonen, of Greenpeace, who was an observer at the negotiations. “And they have.”
We must try and stick to 1.5C

Although the report bears clear scars of political interference, it still makes a few clear and undiluted points. Among them, it urges leaders to understand that there’s a huge difference between 1.5C and 2C, and we need to aim for the former, not the latter.
“The first is that limiting warming to 1.5C brings a lot of benefits compared with limiting it to two degrees. It really reduces the impacts of climate change in very important ways,” said Prof Jim Skea, who co-chairs the IPCC.
“The second is the unprecedented nature of the changes that are required if we are to limit warming to 1.5C – changes to energy systems, changes to the way we manage land, changes to the way we move around with transportation.”
A 2C warming would likely destroy around 13% of the world’s ecosystems, it would drive coral reefs essentially extinct, and cause dramatic risk for a massive number of animal and insect species. The Arctic would be completely ice-free once or twice a decade, and for most humans, summer temperatures would simply be unbearably hot. By the end of the century, the situation would likely escalate to a full-blown disaster — and considering the scale of things, the end of the century is really not that far off.

If we manage to stick to 1.5C, that risk would be halved. But according to current projections, we’ll reach 1.5C by 2030. This seemingly small difference of a half a degree is absolutely huge. The world is already 1C warmer than pre-industrial levels, and we’re already seeing the effects.
“It’s a line in the sand and what it says to our species is that this is the moment and we must act now,” said Debra Roberts, a co-chair of the working group on impacts. “This is the largest clarion bell from the science community and I hope it mobilises people and dents the mood of complacency.”
A half of degree
The one good thing the report highlights is that we still can remain in the 1.5C warming interval — but we need massive investments, from both governments and individuals, and we need them as soon as possible.
Using electric cars can make a big difference, the report highlights.
The core of the action is transitioning to renewable energy. A 1.5C scenario requires us to generate around 75-80% of our energy from renewable sources, such as wind and solar. We also need to expand reforestation efforts, to take advantage of trees’ ability to suck out carbon out of the air. This, however, requires 2.5% of global gross domestic product (GDP), the value of all goods and services produced, for two decades, something which most governments don’t seem convinced to invest in.
Even so, this would still require us to develop technologies to take carbon out of the atmosphere and store it safely underground by the end of the century. This technology is already in its nascent stages, and there’s a good chance it will be developed in a few decades, given proper investments.

The big problem, of course, is the 2.5% GDP figure. However, it’s important to keep in mind that we’re not talking about sending money down the drain. There’s a good chance that much of that figure will be gained back by avoiding damage caused by climate-related events such as droughts and hurricanes. There’s actually a very good chance that we will get a return on this investment.
“Every extra tonne of carbon that we dump into the atmosphere today is a tonne that will have to be scrubbed out at the end of the century,” says Myles Allen, a climate scientist at the University of Oxford, UK, and one of the lead authors of the report.
“I think we need to start a debate about who is going to pay for it, and whether it’s right for the fossil-fuel industry and its customers to be enjoying the benefits today and expecting the next generation to pay for cleaning it up,” Allen says.
Globally, 2.5% of GDP is a huge sum, and as Allen hints, no one will likely want to pay for it — even though, at the end of the day, we all have a lot to gain from it. We just need to convince policymakers to act on it. But it’s not just politicians that need to act.
What all of us can do
The problem of climate change can seem overwhelming. Here’s a huge problem that requires international, large-scale cooperation, and we’re all just one person. But each and every one of us can still make a big difference, as the IPCC report also highlights. We all have the power to change things. Dr. Debra Roberts, the IPCC’s other co-chair, explains:
“That’s a very empowering message for the individual,” she said. “This is not about remote science; it is about where we live and work, and it gives us a cue on how we might be able to contribute to that massive change, because everyone is going to have to be involved.”
“You might say you don’t have control over land use, but you do have control over what you eat and that determines land use. We can choose the way we move in cities and if we don’t have access to public transport – make sure you are electing politicians who provide options around public transport.”
Some simple lifestyle measures include:
buying and eating less meat, particularly beef;
buying and eating less cheese and butter;
eating more locally sourced foods;
wasting less food;
driving an electric or hybrid car;
using public transportation, biking, or walking;
using videoconferences instead of business travel;
using a washing line instead of a tumbling dryer;
insulating houses;
demanding clean energy and low-carbon in every product we consume.
Bizarre footage has emerged showing triangular orbs in the sky above Mexico City.
The video, uploaded by the YouTube channel 'colourufo,' has been dubbed 'absolute proof' of alien life, with the filmer claiming the strange clip shows "multiple" UFOs.
The video reportedly captured on Sunday shows a white light moving from right to left before it speeds up and disappears.
The uploader then replays the video in slow motion, which appears to give the white light a more triangular shape, as if a 'shield' has formed around it.

The video was picked up by UFO researcher Scott C. Waring who commented on his UFO sightings blog: "This video was made by a UFO researcher in Australia watching the live Mexico City cam.
"He is famous for his hard work in the field and this time he caught an amazing Pyramid UFO that is semi cloaked moving through the clouds."
"I have heard of pyramid clouds, but very few legit reports come in like this one," his blog post continued.
"As you see the cam takes a photo every few seconds so there is a jump in-between, but the UFO is seen in many still shots.
"Absolute proof that aliens are active in Mexico," he concluded."
Triangular and pyramid UFO sightings have become quite common in recent years, particularly above north and central America, but not everyone thinks they're aliens visiting Earth.
Often referred to as 'Black Triangles', some UFO experts claim people are actually seeing a top secret US spy aircraft known as TR-3B.
One of the most recent sightings occurred above Seattle, Washington in September.

TR-3 planes do not officially exist, but according to conspiracy theorists, they are a class of US surveillance aircraft first used during the Gulf War in the early 1990s and developed in complete secret.
If Earth warms by just 1.5 degrees Celsius over preindustrial times by 2100, rather than 2 degrees, we would see fewer life-threatening heat, drought and precipitation extremes, less sea level rise and fewer species lost.
Those findings are detailed in a report, a summary of which was released October 8, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, following its weeklong meeting in Incheon, South Korea. “This will be one of the most important meetings in the IPCC’s history,” Hoesung Lee, a climate economist at Korea University in South Korea and current IPCC chair, said in his opening address October 1.
To compile the report, the scientists sifted through more than 6,000 papers probing the impact of a global temperature hike of 1.5 degrees, sometimes working through the night, says Natalie Mahowald, a climate scientist at Cornell University and one of the report’s coauthors. But the long hours were worth it: The report’s message is compelling and urgent, she says. “Such a small change in temperature will have big impacts on people.”
Three years ago, in 2015, 195 nations signed onto the Paris agreement to curb greenhouse gas emissions sufficiently to limit global warming to “well below” 2 degrees by 2100 (SN: 1/9/16, p. 6). Getting all the delegates on the same 2-degree-warming page was a hard-won victory. But many scientists have warned that the 2-degree target isn’t stringent enough to prevent major environmental changes affecting everything from sea level rise to water scarcity to habitat loss. During the Paris talks, more than 100 nations — including many of those most vulnerable to climate change, such as the island nation of the Maldives and drought-stricken Angola — called for a lower warming target of 1.5 degrees.
At the time, Lee noted in his Oct. 1 address, scientists knew relatively little about how to compare the risks of a 1.5-degree-warmer world with a 2-degree-warmer world. So, as part of the decision to adopt the Paris agreement, the nations invited the IPCC to prepare a report assessing those impacts.
As it turns out, the differences are stark between the two warming targets, as outlined in the new report, titled “Global Warming of 1.5° C.” In addition to fewer heat, rain and drought extremes, the impact on future sea levels would be significant. A half a degree less warming means about 0.1 meters less sea level rise on average by the next century. As a result, at least 10 million fewer people would be exposed to such risks as flooding, infrastructure damage and saltwater intrusion into freshwater resources, the report found.
Somewhere between 1.5 degrees and 2 degrees, the planet’s great ice sheets may become increasingly unstable, further increasing the potential for sea level rise. And, in the 1.5-degree warming scenario, the Arctic Ocean is projected to be ice-free during the summer only once per century. That would happen once a decade under the 2-degree scenario.
As for the planet’s other denizens, a lower temperature increase would mean less risk of habitat loss for many insect, plant and animal species compared with a full 2 degrees of warming, the report notes (SN: 6/9/18, p. 6). And other climate-related risks to these species, including forest fires and the spread of invasive species, would be less under that lower warming threshold.

Much of the data analyzed in the report has been published in scientific journals over the last two years, and wasn’t available when the Paris agreement was signed. The London-based website Carbon Brief published an interactive infographic on October 4 that summarizes the results of 70 such 1.5-degree studies that show the impacts of warming targets on everything from future sea level rise to heatwaves to hurricanes.
Despite building a case for a lower temperature target, the trick will be how to get there. In 2017, the Paris accords faced a major setback when President Donald Trump announced that the United States, a major contributor to the greenhouse gases that drive warming, would pull out of the agreement. Achieving an even more stringent target seems particularly daunting.
The IPCC report examines various possible paths that scientists have examined to limit the environmental impacts of warming. Among the variables considered in these paths are when emissions are projected to reach net zero, when the amount of carbon released to the atmosphere is balanced by the amount that is being removed. Another variable is how many more emissions will be allowable in the meantime — a concept known as the carbon budget.
But almost all of the projected pathways to 1.5 degrees have one thing in common, says Zeke Hausfather, a climate scientist with Carbon Brief: They overshoot that temperature threshold somewhere around 2050. “They all exceed it — and then back down,” he says.
To overshoot the mark by only a small amount, or not at all, requires reducing emissions by about 45 percent relative to 2010 levels by the year 2030, and reaching zero around 2050, the IPCC report notes. In comparison, to get to “below 2 degrees Celsius,” emissions must decline by about 20 percent by the year 2030 and reach zero by about 2075.
Barring such early, deep cuts, it will take “negative emissions” to bring the temperatures back down after overshooting the mark mid-century. Negative emissions are, essentially, a hoped-for reduction in emissions due to future technologies that will be able to remove enough carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reverse the greenhouse effect.
Those technologies, such as carbon capture and storage, are not yet commercially viable. And reversing the effects of the greenhouse warming is not so straightforward: “By and large, it’s generally true that there’s a linear relationship between warming and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as long as both are increasing,” Hausfather says. “But once you start sucking carbon out of the atmosphere, that linear relationship breaks. You need more negative emissions to reduce temperatures than positive emissions to increase them.”
It’s uncertain how — or if — policy makers will be able to use the findings to reshape the climate accords. During the 2015 Paris talks, a proposed 1.5-degree target was met with strong resistance from nations that would need to be on board, particularly China.
And President Trump’s administration gave a hint of its reaction when, in July, it released an environmental impact statement on the White House’s plan to freeze federal fuel efficiency standards for cars and light trucks built after 2020. With current levels of greenhouse gas emissions, global temperatures are currently on track to rise by 4 degrees compared to preindustrial times by 2100 — and freezing the standards will further increase those emissions, the report acknowledged. But the study recommended the freeze anyway, stating that moving away from fossil fuels to make deep cuts in carbon emissions would require innovations that are “not currently technologically feasible or economically feasible.”
The challenges may seem insurmountable. But this special report — and the two years of intense research that led up to it — has also forced scientists to reassess some assumptions about what’s possible, says Kaisa Kosonen, a Helsinki-based climate policy adviser at Greenpeace International who traveled to South Korea for the meeting. Including certain factors, such as better energy efficiency in the future, can lead to “results you didn’t know even existed,” she says. “I’ve been inspired by how much optimism there still is among scientists.”
Indeed, one of the key messages from the report is that holding warming to 1.5 degrees “is not impossible,” Mahowald says. “But it will require really ambitious efforts, and the sooner the better. We have to start cutting emissions now. We have to be very ambitious on sustainable energy and sustainable agriculture,” she says. And, she notes, achieving the goal will require people to undergo behavioral changes as well, from energy conservation to changes in diet.
But people would also face huge adjustments in a world that’s 2 degrees warmer, or even higher, Mahowald warns. So despite the challenges, “it still might be easier to reach 1.5 than to adapt to those higher temperatures.”

I spend a lot of time chasing UFO sightings and talking to alien abductees with the main goal of proving that aliens are visiting Earth. One of the things that I have always wondered about is “what do the aliens want?”. It is pretty obvious to me by now aliens do exist and the do visit the Earth. What they are doing here on Earth is an entirely different problem though. All we can do is make a logical guess based off of the information that we do have.
Learning from Alien Abductees
I have been in contact with a lot of alien abductees over the years. These people have always fascinated me. Most of them describe very similar experiences. We can try to figure out what the aliens want by what they did to these people while they had them. Hopefully their common experiences can shed some light on this mystery.
Aliens are doing Experiments on Humans
One of the common experiences of alien abductees is that they have some memory of being in some kind of exam room. They are usually on a metal table surrounded by instruments and sometimes even the aliens themselves. None of the abductees I have talked to know exactly what the aliens are doing to them but they all agree that they felt like a lab experiment. Some of these people come back with pieces of unidentifiable metal under their skin, in their teeth or even implanted all the way into a bone. These implants prove that the alien abductors have a vested interest into keeping track of these people. What kind of experiments the aliens are doing on these people is what I want to find out.
Why Would Aliens Want to do Human Experiments?
If we can figure out why aliens would want to experiment on humans we may be able to figure out what kind of experiments they are doing. I have come up with some possibilities.
Aliens are Researching Earth Germs and Viruses
Anyone that has seen the movie “War of the Worlds” has heard of the idea that aliens could be threatened by Earthly germs. This is a real possibility! Since humans have spent thousands of years building up resistance to these germs they don’t really harm us. We get sick and feel like crud for a few days and then our bodies kill the invading virus causing us to feel better. If an alien creature had no built up resistance to these viruses then they probably wouldn’t be able to fight these germs off naturally. This would be fatal to the creatures as it was in the movie. The only problem with the movie is that I seriously doubt that a super advanced species of aliens doesn’t know about Earth’s viruses and germs. It is hard to believe that aliens wouldn’t be prepared for such things. That could be one reason that they are abducting people; they are studying our illnesses so they can create vaccinations for themselves. That way they would be much safer spending more time on Earth.
Are Humans Alien Offspring?
Another reason that aliens could be showing so much interest in humans is that we could be their offspring. It is possible that at some point these alien civilizations decided to stop having sex to procreate and switched to using technology to create their children. There are many reasons that could have caused them to make this decision. That subject could be it’s own article.
Aliens could have decided to colonize Earth thousands of years ago by placing their offspring here. Humans could be either an exact copy of the alien race or they could have manipulated the DNA of creatures already on Earth combining it with their own to create an entirely new species. This would explain why they killed off all of the subhuman races besides homo sapiens. They wouldn’t have wanted their offspring to have too much competition.
Why Aliens Look Different
You may wonder why humans and aliens look different if it is possible that we are their children. There is a very simple answer to this question. Our bodies would have evolved and adapted to Earth for the last 20,000 years. This evolution would cause us to look different from our ancestors because we grew up on a different planet than they did. This is the same reason that people look different depending on which continent their family came from.
Aliens Could Want Our Planet
Out of all of the things that the aliens might want this one scares me the most. They could be visiting Earth trying to decide if they want to take it from us or not. Us humans have thought for a long time that the Earth is a very special place. We may not be wrong. We don’t know what kind of planets these aliens come from but we can assume that they require a lot of the same types of elements and minerals that we use here on Earth. It is very possible that the Earth is considered a desirable planet among alien species.
If Aliens Want Earth, What’s the Wait?
You might be asking yourself at this point why aliens wouldn’t just take the Earth if they want it? Why would they need thousands of years to decide to take it for themselves? If they haven’t taken it by now then they probably don’t want it, right?I have asked myself these same questions. There are several different answers that I have come up with.
The first possibility is that the aliens may experience time different than humans do. If they have an average life span of thousands of years, a few hundred years on Earth would seem like a very short amount of time to them. These advanced species of aliens could also be using wormholes or time travel engines in their space ships. What that means is that they could leave their planet during one century but arrive at Earth during a different century. This process could be reversed on their trip back to their home planet. To the aliens this trip could seem like a very short amount of time while thousands of years are passing here on Earth.
An Unknown Plan
Another reason that the aliens might be waiting to take the Earth is because they don’t need it yet. Our planet could be some kind “alien retirement plan”. This idea makes sense when you really think about it. Alien activity has increased since humans created atomic weapons. UFOs are constantly spotted around nuclear weapons sites and power plants. They might be concerned that we are going to blow u their investment. People have suggested that the aliens are interested in our nuclear power because they are interested in keeping the human race alive. I personally think that they are more worried about our planet. If I am right than we should really start worrying more about global warming and carbon dioxide pollution. We don’t want the aliens taking us out just to save the Earth!
Let’s Hope for the Best
When it comes down to it we can speculate all that we want but we will still have no idea what the aliens are doing here on Earth. They may be so far advanced past us intellectually that their reasoning could be incomprehensible to us humans. All we can do is go on with our lives and hope that our alien guests have no intentions of harming us. Maybe one day they will tell us about their plans for humans and the Earth. Until then; remember that the truth matters!

Possible signs of alien life haven't been spotted in the Andromeda Galaxy thus far — but that isn't stopping scientists from searching.

For more than a half century, we’ve been scanning the skies for radio signals that might be evidence of an alien civilization. Now physicists at the University of California, Santa Barbara are trying a different approach: scanning the skies for light beams that are monstrously intense. It’s a promising approach that could uncover aliens that have equipped themselves with the mother of all laser pointers.
The idea of using light beams to signal from one world to another isn’t new — even the Victorians considered it. In 1874, the Finnish mathematician Edvard Engelbert Novius proposed wiring up 22,000 light bulbs and using curved mirrors to focus their glow on Mars, thereby alerting Red Planet residents that they had neighbors on the third rock from the sun. He didn’t get the funding.
The Santa Barbara plan is to reverse Novius’ scheme and look for aliens who might be signaling us. Or, more accurately, inadvertently spilling light in our direction with a light source brighter than a blowtorch. The scientists plan to search for such high-tech luminaries camped out in the Andromeda Galaxy, which at 2.5 million light-years away is the nearest large galaxy to our own Milky Way.
Is it aliens? Scientists detect more mysterious radio signals from distant galaxy
This effort is an offshoot of another project developed at the university. Several years ago, faculty physicist Phil Lubin suggested syncing up a phalanx of high-powered lasers to produce a truly blinding light source. His idea was to use this super-laser to kick matchbook-sized space probes to nearby stars at roughly 20 percent the speed of light. This is difficult, but not impossible, and Lubin’s plan is now getting financial support from NASA and Breakthrough Starshot, a private initiative funded by venture capitalist Yuri Milner. It’s exciting to think we could send probes to the nearest stars fast enough that the project scientists will still be alive when the probes reach their destination.
But Lubin and his students also cooked up an ancillary experiment: a search for alien societies so advanced that they’ve already built powerful lasers for their own interstellar launches. These light sources would be easy to see even at astronomical distances. Indeed, by some reckonings, if you were looking down the beam of such a laser even from very far away, it would outshine stars, quasars, supernovae and — well — anything in the universe. You would notice.
The Santa Barbara team plan to use small telescopes to repeatedly take photos of Andromeda. Then they will compare these pics with older photos to see if any new “star” has appeared — possible evidence of a non-natural source. The process will be automated, and the survey can go on as long as there are interest and support.

Why Andromeda? The reason is simple: choosing a nearby galaxy means the project can quickly reconnoiter a vast swath of extraterrestrial territory.
Andromeda, like the Milky Way, is thought to contain a trillion or so planets, a fact that led the Santa Barbara physicists to inventively dub their effort the Trillion Planet Survey. Most conventional searches for E.T. look for signals from nearby star systems one at a time. By examining an entire galaxy at once, the Santa Barbara scientists aim to greatly increase the chance of finding something.
There are some worries. Even if Andromeda contains a society whose super-bright lasers routinely stab the sky, the rotation of their home planet might cause this beam to sweep over Earth very quickly. If so, it could easily be missed. It’s also worth noting that Andromeda — which you can check out yourself with binoculars — has been studied nearly as much as the Bible. No one has ever seen any puzzling bright lights. In addition, astronomers hunting for supernovae have surveyed millions of other galaxies with automated telescopes. They’ve found many exploding stars, but no super-lasers.
Of course, failure to find these things doesn’t prove they’re not there.
The search for aliens has always assumed that advanced beings will either transmit an unnatural-looking signal or construct some artifact large enough to be seen with a telescope. But few searches have eyed as much cosmic real estate as the Trillion Planet Survey plans to do. And who knows? It just might turn up some society that’s truly enlightened.

Son diamètre est d’environ 60 mètres. L’image était plutôt floue, mais il serait possible de distinguer des formes semblables à des escaliers, à des rampes et à d’autres appareils.
Les chercheurs sont allés sur place pour étudier personnellement l’anomalie, mais ont fait face à un phénomène étrange. Lorsque le navire s’est placé au-dessus de l’objet, tous les appareils électroniques, y compris leur téléphone satellite, se sont éteints.

Water and ice
When it comes to space exploration, few things are as exciting as Europa. Sure, the Earth’s moon or Mars spark our imagination, but Europa is much more likely to host life — beneath its frozen surface.
Slightly smaller than Earth’s Moon, Europa is primarily made of silicate rock, but because it’s so far away from the Sun, its surface is completely frozen. Initially, astronomers didn’t give much attention to it, but the Galileo mission (launched in 1989) showed that there’s much more to Europa than meets the eye.
Current models now show that heat from tidal flexing causes the subsurface to stay liquid, enabling the Jovian moon to host an ocean of liquid water, right beneath its surface. Since liquid water is crucial for life as we know it, this makes Europa a prime candidate — and to make things even better, astronomers provided strong evidence of water plume activity on Europa, suggesting that the ocean is interacting with the seafloor, having tectonic-like activity. All of this makes Europa a prime candidate for searching extraterrestrial life.
But if we want to really see if there’s life on Europa, we need to send a lander mission there, and that’s not gonna be easy. A new paper published today in Nature Geoscience suggests that Europa’s jagged surface will make any landing mission even more difficult due to a phenomenon that’s also present on Earth: the so-called penitentes.

The penitentes were formally described by Charles Darwin in 1839: giant, blade-like ice features in the Andes mountains. When the weather is very dry and cold, the sun’s warm rays can cause parts of the ice and snow to undergo sublimation (turn from ice into vapour, without first becoming liquid).
“On Earth, the sublimation of massive ice deposits at equatorial latitudes under cold and dry conditions in the absence of any liquid melt leads to the formation of spiked and bladed textures eroded into the surface of the ice. These sublimation-sculpted blades are known as penitentes,” researchers write in the study.
A similar process has been observed on Pluto, for instance, so we know that it can happen on extraterrestrial bodies. Daniel Hobley of Cardiff University and his team investigated the conditions that could give rise to Penitentes on icy worlds such as Europa.
In a study released Monday, scientists say they've found evidence of huge, jagged "ice spikes," some 50 feet tall, on the moon's surface.
They found that conditions on Europa favour the development of penitentes, particularly at latitudes below 23°, which in turn, could threaten potential future missions.
“Although available images of Europa have insufficient resolution to detect surface roughness at the multi-metre scale, radar and thermal data are consistent with our interpretation. We suggest that penit }entes could pose a hazard to a future lander on Europa,” the study concludes.
Both NASA and ESA have Europa flyby missions scheduled for the 2020s.

Er zijn inmiddels ook al een aantal boeken verschenen over dit onderwerp en één van die auteurs is Nick Redfern. Naar aanleiding van zijn onlangs (mei 2018) verschenen boek, The Black Dairy, hebben enkele lezers onafhankelijk van elkaar contact met hem opgenomen.
Het eerste bericht dat Nick ontving was afkomstig van ene Ron die vertelde dat hij het boek had gekocht en gelezen.
Enige tijd daarna werd hij middenin de nacht wakker met een daverende hoofdpijn, een droge mond en uitslag op zijn armen. Hij was wakker, maar kon zich niet bewegen. Dit is een fenomeen dat vaker voorkomt en dat slaapverlamming wordt genoemd.
Zoals gebruikelijk wanneer zoiets zich voor doet voelde degene in kwestie angst. En dat is niet zo vreemd, want aan de rand van zijn bed stonden twee kinderen van een jaar of elf met gitzwarte ogen. Ze hadden een bleke huid en beiden hadden een zwarte capuchon.
Maar, het werd nog veel vreemder, want binnen enkele seconden werd de slaapkamer van Ron als het ware overspoeld door beelden. Apocalyptische beelden van een platgeslagen aarde, miljoenen doden en een zwarte hemel. Ron wist wat de oorzaak was: een geweldige paddenstoelwolk hing boven wat er nog van zijn stad over was.
Plotseling waren de beelden weg, evenals de kinderen. Toen hij ’s morgens wakker werd, was ook de uitslag op zijn armen weg. Dagenlang heeft Ron slapeloze nachten gehad, maar de BEK’s (Black Eyed Kids) zijn niet meer teruggekomen. Ook de nachtmerrie die Ron had met de afgrijselijke beelden is niet teruggekomen.
Een tweede verhaal heeft vorige maand plaatsgevonden bij een man uit Engeland, Adrian Clarke. Het ’s nachts rond drie uur toen hij plotseling wakker schrok en recht naar twee BEK’s keek aan het voeteneinde van zijn bed.
Ook deze kinderen hadden gitzwarte ogen, maar droegen een oranje gewaad. Plotseling zat Adrian midden in een nachtmerrie waarbij hij een wereld zag waar miljarden mensen waren omgekomen en een totaal verwoestte aarde. Ook hij was eerst volledig verlamd, maar vocht ertegen en slaagde er uiteindelijk in om de betovering als het ware te verbreken. De beelden verdwenen van het ene op het andere moment, evenals de BEK’s.
Dan is er nog het geval met een dame uit de Amerikaanse staat Virginia. Zij ontmoette Redfern persoonlijk op een festival en vertelde hem wat haar was overkomen.
Het gebeurde in april van dit jaar en ook zij werd middenin de nacht wakker en keek recht in de gitzwarte ogen van enkele kinderen die aan haar bed stonden. Eén van hen wees naar de muur van haar slaapkamer en deze veranderde plotseling in een geweldig groot televisiescherm.
Op dit scherm verschenen beelden van een kernexplosie. Jennifer vertelde dat ze niet begreep hoe ze het wist, maar dat de stad die werd verwoest door een kernbom Milwaukee was in de staat Wisconsin. Zij is nog nooit in Milwaukee geweest en heeft daar ook geen familie, vrienden of bekenden. Net zoals Ron en Adrian, was ook Jennifer dagenlang overstuur na deze gebeurtenis.
Drie verschillende mensen, zelfs in verschillende landen en op verschillende tijdstippen, die alledrie dezelfde ervaring hebben. Dat ze alledrie BEK’s hebben gezien zou misschien nog verklaard kunnen worden doordat twee van hen het boek van Nick Redfern hadden gelezen, maar dat ook alledrie dezelfde apocalyptische beelden hebben gezien is wel heel merkwaardig.
Mochten er lezers zijn die ook iets dergelijke hebben meegemaakt, laat ons weten.
NASA observeert nauwgezet de activiteiten van de bekende Yellowstone vulkaan omdat er behoorlijk wat ongewone dingen gebeuren.
Nu plotsklaps komen wetenschappers van NASA met een plan om hitte vanuit de vulkaan af te voeren, maar als het mislukt is er grote kans dat deze juist zal uitbarsten.
Het is al jaren onrustig rondom de Yellowstone supervulkaan in Amerika. Regelmatig duiken er berichten op dat een uitbarsting van deze gigant misschien niet zo ver weg is.
Ook nu is er weer een groep seismologen die waarschuwen dat de Yellowstone supervulkaan “onder druk” staat, waarmee uiteraard dan weer de vrees toeneemt dat er een uitbarsting zal volgen.
En verder:
Dat alles toch niet zo normaal is als men wil doen voorkomen blijkt ook uit het feit dat vorig jaar het speciale NASA observatievliegtuig, een Boeing 747 genaamd Sophia en uitgerust met infrarode opname-apparatuur, vluchten uitvoerde boven Yellowstone. En nu is Yellowstone weer in het nieuws en dit keer door de onverwachte uitbarsting van een geiser met de naam Steamboat Geyser. Dit is sinds 2014 niet meer gebeurd en nu zijn er drie uitbarstingen in de afgelopen zes weken. Er zijn ooit een keer eerder drie uitbarstingen in één jaar geweest en dat was in 2003. Maar, dit jaar is pas vier maanden oud en aangezien iedere keer het woord “ongewoon” wordt gebruikt, raken mensen steeds wantrouwiger. Temeer ook omdat vulkanologen zoals Michael Poland, hun uiterste best doen om haastig te zeggen dat er helemaal niets aan de hand is, maar geen verklaring kunnen geven voor deze “ongewone” uitbarstingen. Het enige dat ze kunnen zeggen is dat er geen vast tijdschema bestaat voor dit soort uitbarstingen.
We zijn net twee maanden later en wat eigenlijk niemand voor mogelijk hield, is toch gebeurd en dat is dat Steamboat Geyser nu voor de tiende keer dit jaar is uitgebarsten.
We zijn inmiddels in oktober aanbeland en de Steamboat Geyser heeft net zijn 22e uitbarsting van dit jaar achter de rug. Het hoogste aantal uitbarstingen dat ooit in een bepaald jaar heeft plaatsgevonden was 1963 toen de teller op 29 eindigde.
NASA houdt zich al heel lang bezig met de problematiek rondom Yellowstone en werkt nu aan een plan dat de wereld moet redden van een uitbarsting door deze gigant.
Die plannen bestaan volgens Brian Wilcox van het NASA Jet Propulsion Lab uit het boren van een tien kilometer diep gat in de vulkaan waardoor water naar binnen kan worden gepompt. Op deze manier kan dan de hitte in de vulkaan langzaam afnemen. Tegelijkertijd zou dan de vrijgekomen hitte kunnen worden gebruikt als een soort enorme energiecentrale.
Er zouden dan ook investeerders gezocht moeten worden die hier brood in zien, want de kosten van het boren van een dergelijk gat met bijbehorende acties zou ongeveer 3,5 miljard dollar moeten kosten.
Maar, zegt Wilcox erbij: “Dit alles moet heel voorzichtig gebeuren, want het kleinste foutje kan ervoor zorgen dat deze supervulkaan juist zal uitbarsten”.
En als dat zou gebeuren, dan krijgen we op het noordelijk halfrond een langdurige vulkanische winter met als gevolg onder andere enorme problemen met de voedselvoorziening omdat oogsten zouden mislukken. Volgens cijfers van de Verenigde Naties is de totale reserve voorraad voedsel voor de wereld slechts genoeg voor 74 dagen.
Waar het op lijkt is dat men bij NASA een beetje in de paniekmodus verkeert en dat ze “iets” moeten doen, omdat de dreiging van deze vulkaan met de dag groter wordt.
Over of het massaal ontwaken van vulkanen en andere heftige aardveranderingen moet worden toegeschreven aan een onbekend groot object in ons zonnestelsel of iets anders, schrijft een lezer het volgende:
Om te beginnen, ik ben overtuigd van het bestaan van Niburu. Maar ik sluit mij aan bij de mening van Arend Zeevat betreffende tijdstip van passage en zijn mening over Masters en Lieder.
De reden hiervoor is als volgt, ik heb een nautische achtergrond en mijn hele leven de zeeën bevaren. Zodoende heb ik altijd te maken gehad met getijden en berekeningen etc.
Zoals een ieder met een beetje opleiding weten we dat het moeilijker is om vaste stoffen te bewegen dan vloeistoffen. Dus hoe komt het dat de vaste stoffen op aarde eerder reageren op een verstoring in aantrekkingskracht dat vloeibare stoffen zoals de zeeën? Getijtafels kloppen nog steeds! Dit zou onmogelijk zijn als er een enorm groot object of stelsel al in de buurt van de zon zou zijn.
Ik denk dat net als het klimaat, ook de aardkorst onderhevig is aan cyclussen, relatief gezien is onze observatie geschiedenis erg kort en wat er buiten valt zijn louter theorieën. Van de huidige wetenschap heb ik echt geen hoge hoed op, uitzonderingen daargelaten. Veel van Uw artikelen onderschrijven deze mening.
Voor 1895 waren er (Nobel)geen prijzen en commerciële doelen(industrie) en nu denk ik dat deze prijzen en doelen een prestatie dwang creëren die de basis is van frauduleuze bevindingen.
Wat het ook moge zijn, er gebeuren steeds vaker dingen die normaal gesproken zelden of nooit voorkomen. Zoals het instorten van bruggen.
Dit is iets dat je de laatste tijd misschien nog niet regelmatig komt, maar we hebben de ineenstorting van de brug bij Genua gehad deze zomer en nu stort er een brug in over een spoorweg in Rusland.

Onlangs publiceerden wij een artikel waar op drie verschillende tijdstippen in de Amerikaanse staat Minnesota een groot cirkelvormig object met talloze lichten werd waargenomen door getuigen.
Het ziet er onmiskenbaar uit als een (buitenaards) ruimteschip en naar nu blijkt, is hetzelfde soort schip ook al eerder in Nederland gesignaleerd.

In het originele artikel staat het verhaal beschreven van iemand die in Nederland in 1996 een UFO heeft waargenomen die identiek is aan die onlangs door diverse mensen is gezien in de Amerikaanse staat Minnesota.
Na zijn verhaal komen wij tot de conclusie dat het dan geen drone kon zijn omdat die er nog niet waren in 1996. Dat is echter niet correct, want een lezer stuurt het volgende (dank!):
Even een kleine opmerking over een zinnetje in de laatste alinea van het UFO-artikel van donderdag 4 oktober. Daarin staat dat het geen drone kan zijn omdat die tot 1996 niet voorkwamen.
Ik woon in Papendrecht maar vrijwel niemand die hier woont weet dat Aviolanda hier vroeger zat en het schijnt dat die in de jaren 50 de eerste Nederlandse drone hebben gemaakt en gebruikt is door de Marine. Dit is wat wikipedia erover te zeggen heeft, de nederlandse wiki-versie bevat nauwelijks zinnige informatie.
Vaag verhaal maar er zaten (en zitten) een aantal onzuivere bedrijven en multinationals hier waar de 35.000 schapen niks vanaf weten.
Tot zover de lezer. Als we wat verder zoeken, dan blijkt echter de drone zelfs nog veel ouder te zijn en gaat eigenlijk al terug tot de Eerste Wereldoorlog.
Het gaat om drie onafhankelijke waarnemingen in de Amerikaanse staat Minnesota van een behoorlijk groot cirkelvormig object dat er als volgt uit zag:

Op die website staat inderdaad het hele verhaal wat er die zomeravond in juni 1996 gebeurde tijdens een autorit van Oeffelt naar Boekel, een afstand van zo’n 26 kilometer.
De man in kwestie was samen met zijn toenmalige vriendin op bezoek geweest bij vrienden die in een vrij afgelegen boerderij in de buurt van Oeffelt woonden.
Hij kan zich die avond van 22 juni 1996 nog goed herinneren, want dat was de avond dat Nederland tegen Frankrijk speelde voor de wereldkampioenschappen.
Rond middernacht vertrekt het stel omdat de volgende dag een werkdag was en ze een beetje op tijd in bed moesten liggen. Het eerste wat de man ziet is een rond object met vele lichten dat rondcirkelt boven de boerderij waar ze op bezoek waren. Het was identiek aan die die nu wordt waargenomen in Minnesota.
Het was een kilometer of 7 richting snelweg vanaf de boerderij en de weg was verlaten en liep door een vrijwel onbebouwd gebied. De vriendin kon vanuit de auto zien dat het object hen volgde rechts van de auto en exact dezelfde snelheid aan hield. Toen de man gas gaf accelereerde de UFO ook en toen hij een bocht naar rechts maakte volgde de UFO.
De man werd een beetje overmoedig, stopte de auto en stapte uit om beter te kunnen kijken. Het object draaide rond tegen de richting van de wijzers van de klok in en stopte boven een huis aan de rechterkant van de weg. Toen begon het met de richting van de wijzers van een klok mee te draaien en bewoog zich richting auto en de man had het gevoel alsof het object met hem communiceerde. Hij schat de grootte ervan op enkele voetbalvelden, geen kleintje dus. Bovendien maakte het geen geluid. Het vloog enkele keren over de auto en tenslotte stapte de man weer in.
Omdat ze op een gegeven moment onder een bladerdak van bomen reden dachten ze het object kwijt te zijn, maar niets was minder waar. Een minuut later was het weer terug aan de passagierskant van de auto. De vrouw vroeg hem om sneller te gaan rijden en de auto zo snel mogelijk thuis de garage in te rijden, hetgeen geschiedde.
Thuis gekomen was de man toch weer nieuwsgierig geworden, liep naar buiten en zag het object hangen boven het huis van de buren. Omdat het object nu heel dichtbij was en onder een bepaalde hoek hing, had de man heel sterk het gevoel dat ze naar hem keken. De man riep naar zijn vriendin en de babysitter om snel naar buiten te komen en toen ze dat deden schoot het object weg met hoge snelheid. Het verdween van het ene op het andere moment, zonder enig geluid te maken.
De man was een voormalig sergeant bij de luchtmacht en is daardoor wel goed in staat om onderscheid te maken tussen bijvoorbeeld een helikopter en een onbekend object.
Even later kwam het object nogmaals terug en werd toen ook gezien door de babysitter en de buurman die net zelf terugkwam van een feestje. Uiteindelijk verdween het object opnieuw en ze hebben het daarna nooit meer gezien. Wel bleek later dat er die avond veel UFO meldingen waren geweest in dat gebied.
Tot zover het verhaal.
Het mooie van dit verhaal is wel dat hiermee eigenlijk wordt uitgesloten dat het waargenomen object een drone is. Simpelweg omdat die in 1996 nog niet voor kwamen.
Wij hopen dat door het lezen van dit verhaal misschien meer mensen zich iets herinneren, hetzij van die avond of een andere gelegenheid waarbij ze ook dit bepaalde type UFO hebben gezien.

During the opening of the 2018 Youth Olympics thousands of people witnessed an unidentified flying object just above the Obelisco de Buenos Aires (Obelisk of Buenos Aires) a national historic monument and icon of Buenos Aires.
Despite the shaky video, the strange craft is clearly visible.

I was walking up the street with my dogs when I felt my head want to turn left. I looked up and saw 2 bright lights of different sizes facing each other. White cloud looking objects around them and various colors of pink and green below. The biggest bright light was moving backward, and the smaller light was opening and closing. It was extremely bright. A couple people stopped their car to look as well. My dogs were pulling at me and another woman walking her dogs was trying to manhandle her dogs who were acting up- all while we stared into the sky. None of us said anything to each other, which I thought later was strange. The brightest light did not waver, just kept moving backward- but the smaller light that would open and close started to fade along with the colors and not-clouds.
Then, I saw a bright orange ball what looked to be the size of a basketball (to my eye) drop out of where the smaller light had been and start to drop to the ground. I ran up to try and see where it went but, I missed it. I did not hear any sound during the event, but one of my videos recorded a super strange sound. I have photos and video, which really does not show how bright and intense it was. I felt like I had to watch this, but then started to feel frightened, so I went inside after the orange ball dropped.

Over a fishing village in Japan several glowing lights maneuvered around catching the attention of local residents. Because of their high speed seen by witnesses, we know they are not man made objects. Also they are near the ocean and these UFOs may have come from an underwater alien base not far away. Scott C. Waring-Taiwan Eyewitness states:
The location is Izumisawa fishing port in Kikonai-cho, Hokkaido Japan. It is the original image of the in-vehicle camera when I went fishing. A semitransparent object appeared at the super high speed from behind the trees on the right side, half turned clockwise around the side of the street pole, stopped at the rear trees stand still, moved rapidly to the upper right with the momentum I will. Immediately after the object on the right side stands at the top of the trees, something flickers from the upper side of the black wig boxer on the left side, something will appear, and if you look at the image often, some shadow of the object is reflected on the top of the wappokuka .
When I saw the picture, I was watching whether insects or someone was doing kite flying, but I have not seen such a person, and I can not confirm the insect on the windowpane of the car It is.
