UFO hunter Jeff Woolwine has shared some eerie photos and videos that show bright flying objects hovering in the night skies of Phoenix, Arizona

Jeff Woolwine, a popular UFO hunter based in Arizona, has released some eerie videos and pictures on his Facebook account that show bright flying objects hovering above his apartment. In the Facebook posts, Woolwine reveals that these glowing orbs were shot on November, and he argues that Phoenix lights are making its appearance again.

It should be noted that Phoenix lights were a series of widely sighted unidentified flying objects (UFO) observed in Arizona initially on March 13, 1997. Later, the lights reappeared in 2008, and a few days back, conspiracy theory YouTube channel Mavi777 released a video that shows glowing orbs in the night sky of Surrey Park Phoenix, Arizona which many people considered the reappearance of Phoenix lights.

In the video and photographs released by Jeff Woolwine, multiple lights can be seen hovering across the night skies, and interestingly, at the first glance, it looked like a giant triangular structure with lights on its edges.

However, at some point in time, these lights seem to be individual bright orbs hovering in the skies. The objects apparently spotted above the apartment of Woolwine seem to be moving at times in the eeriest manner, and it literally resembled the objects that appeared above Surrey Park Phoenix a few days back.

In one of the comments answered by Jeff Woolvine to a fan, the UFO researcher claims that each light spotted in the skies are actually living entities. Jeff Woolwine also believes that ancient Indian cave carvings hold the real secrets behind these weird skylights.

However, some skeptics argue that Jeff Woolwine is trying to popularise his new book through these videos.

In the meantime, a section of conspiracy theorists has started claiming that these lights are actually alien spaceships from deep space. These theorists believe that aliens have been visiting the earth for hundreds of thousands of years and they even argue that governments all around the world are aware of their existence.

Pilots report UFO sighting over Nunavut’s northern Baffin Island

A pilot said he saw a shining light, which changed colors, and may have been from a star or a meteorite.

Pilots have reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object on Nov. 24, as they flew from Iqaluit to the Mary River mine in north Baffin Island.

The pilots were flying a Nolinor Aviation Boeing 737-200 jet, and reported that the sighting took place at about 8:30 p.m. local time.

Their incident report to Transport Canada’s Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System, or CADORS, gave few details about what they saw, but it suggested the sighting could have involved a weather balloon, meteor, rocket or another unidentified flying object.

On the CADORS report ,the unidentified flying object is referred to as CIRVIS/UFO, an abbreviation for “Communications Instructions for Reporting Vital Intelligence Sightings” for a UFO.

The CADORS report says that the North American Aerospace Defence Command, NORAD, was advised. The flight experienced “no impact to operations.”

As for what happen now to this CADORS report, Transport Canada said that “with regards to next steps when reports like these are generated, it depends on the type of the incident reported,” and that “the information… should be treated as preliminary, unsubstantiated, and subject to change.”

Marco Prud’homme, Nolinor’s vice president, said they learned Tuesday about the sighting and the CADORS report.

In speaking to the pilot, who had the day off, Prud’homme said he learned more about what was seen.

The pilot told him that he saw a shining light, which changed from red to green to white, and which may have been from a star or a meteorite, but “probably something natural,” Prud’homme suggested.

Various online sources suggest a report of a UFO can jeopardize a pilot’s career.

However, such UFO reports appear not to be that unusual: earlier this month several pilots reported seeing a “very fast” UFO above Ireland.

“It came up on our left hand side (rapidly veered) to the north, we saw a bright light and it just disappeared at a very high speed … we were just wondering. We didn’t think it was a likely collision course … [just wondering] what it could be,” said a recording of a pilot with air traffic controllers in Shannon, Ireland.

A group called Ufology Research. which has solicited UFO case data from known and active investigators and researchers in Canada, said earlier this year that 1,101 UFO sightings had been reported in Canada in 2017.

“The continued reporting of UFOs by the public and the yearly increase in numbers of UFO reports suggests a need for further examination of the phenomenon by social, medical and/or physical scientists,” the report said.

There have been reports of UFOs made from the ground in Nunavut.

On Sept. 16, 2016, in Iqaluit, a hiker said he was headed home and was looking at the northern lights “when a bunch of star-like lights moving in sequence caught my attention. Then I saw an airplane flying, and when it flew towards the lights it went out of sight until it reached the other side.

“I suddenly saw something bright flash, and I looked up then I saw it again, and it happened one more time, and I got a little nervous, so I went to call a cab and my phone started acting up, then all of a sudden it went to normal, and I finally got a cab and went home.”

Another UFO report from July 2011 includes a video taken by an Iqaluit man filming on his deck, where he had gone out to have a smoke.

“There was a blue light rotating around another stationary blue light. I ran for my camera and by the time I got back outside the ‘UFO’ was at a much higher altitude and thus the video. It stayed in the skies for almost three hours and I had at least 60 witnesses, mostly just curious but astonished and amazed individuals, one woman even freaked out and ran back inside her house,” said a text accompanying his video on YouTube.

Back in July 2004, Davidee Kowcharlie of Sanikiluaq saw “hovering and flying of different objects/lights.”

“More lights (were) noticed underneath the hovering white light and they seemed to be retrieving something from the area and there were more lights coming out of the big hovering light,” Kowcharlie said.

He said the “speed of objects coming out of bright light (were) too fast for this world.”

The cave paintings supposedly more than 40,000 years old were discovered at various sites across Europe, and they suggest that ancient humans used to keep track of time using the knowledge of how the position of the stars slowly changes over thousands of years.

Researchers who took part in this study revealed that symbols depicted in the caves are actually constellations, and they were used to represent dates and mark catastrophic events like asteroid hits. If the speculations of these researchers are right, ancient people were well aware of the effects which happen on earth due to its gradual shift of rotational axis.

"Early cave art shows that people had advanced knowledge of the night sky within the last ice age. Intellectually, they were hardly any different to us today. These findings support a theory of multiple comet impacts over the course of human development, and will probably revolutionize how prehistoric populations are seen," said Martin Sweatman, a researcher at the University of Edinburgh and the lead author of the study, Eurekalert.org reports.

Conspiracy theorists speculate alien angle

Soon after the discovery of these European cave paintings, conspiracy theorists soon jumped to the conclusion that aliens from deep space have direct involvement in teaching ancient humans about astronomy and space. As per these conspiracy theorists, aliens have been visiting the earth for hundreds of thousands of years, and depiction of these extraterrestrial beings on Indian caves is a strong sign of their existence.

Conspiracy theorists argue that ancient aliens which visited earth were often called 'Starmen' by humans. Due to their impeccable advancement in technology, humans often misunderstood them as Gods, and some section of people even started worshipping these extraterrestrial visitors.

Scientists Confirm That Moses Did Cross The Red Sea, After Finding The Egyptian Army At The Bottom Of The Red Sea

The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities announced that a team of underwater archaeologists had discovered the remains of a large Egyptian army of the fourteenth century BC, in the Gulf of Suez, 1.5 km from the coast of the modern city. By Ras Gharib

The team was looking for ancient ships and artifacts related to the Stone Age and Bronze Age trade in the Red Sea region, when it stumbled upon a giant mass of human bones blackened by years of immersion.

THE SCIENTISTS

Led by Professor Abdel Muhammad Gader, who are linked to the Faculty of Archeology at the University of Cairo, they have recovered more than 400 different skeletons, as well as hundreds of weapons and pieces of armor, also the remains of two cars.

It is estimated that more than 5,000 skeletons could be scattered over a larger area, suggesting that a large army was in place.

Many clues led Master Gader to conclude that the bodies may be related to the famous episode of Exodus.

The old soldier seemed to have died in the dry land, since there are no traces of ships that are in the area.

The positions of the bodies and the fact that they were stopped in a large amount of clay and rock, implies that they could have died in a landslide or a tsunami.

This magnificent sheet of an Egyptian khopesh was undoubtedly the weapon of a main character.

It was found near the remains of a richly decorated chariot, suggesting that it might have belonged to a prince or nobleman.

The number of corpses suggests that a large ancient army perished on the site dramatically, both seem to corroborate the biblical version of the Red Sea crossing, when the army of the Egyptian pharaoh was destroyed when the Jewish people had passed through the Red Sea.

THIS DISCOVERY

It shows that a great Egyptian army was destroyed by the waters of the Red Sea during the reign of Akhenaten. The famous biblical story of “crossing the Red Sea” was discredited by most scholars and historians.

ARCHAEOLOGISTS FOUND THE SECRET TOMB OF GOD OSIRIS UNDER THE SPHINX

He was the king of kings, the god of the gods. Now archaeologists believe they have found the “tomb” of the Egyptian supreme deity, Osiris. The Egyptian media reports that two new tombs were announced during the weekend, one of which belonged to an unknown queen.

In reality, it is not a tomb: it is a place of symbolic burial used in rituals to link the immortal powers of the god with those of the ruling pharaohs.

THE MINISTER OF ANTIQUITIES

Mamdouh al-DamAcaty said that the structure was inspired by a real tomb, with multiple axes and cameras. It consists of a transversal corridor supported by five pillars, as well as a staircase that goes down the rock to a complex dedicated to Osiris.

It was discovered by Project Min, an Italian-Spanish initiative in cooperation with the Egyptian government that aims to study the tombs of the New Kingdom in Thebes, namely a private tomb TT109 (also known as Tomb of Min) and Kampp -327-, which it is an extension of the original tomb.

A CENTRAL CAMERA

Deep in the rock is a statue of Osiris, an axis and two rooms full of rubble. The room facing west was where the sarcophagus of the owner of the tomb was intended (Matjaz Kacicnik, Project Min). Its main feature is a large room supported by five pillars.

A staircase leads to a burial chamber containing a carving of the dead god. An adjacent room contains reliefs of demons holding knives, which the archaeologist in charge of the Spanish-Italian excavators described as guardians.

A well of 9 m depth leads to a central chamber, below which another 6 m axis leads to two more unexplored, with rooms full of rubble. It is believed that the “tomb” is based on the ancient complex of the tomb / temple of the Osirion in Abydos, Sohag.

It is not the first time that the tomb is discovered. The Department of Antiquities in Egypt says that part of the structure was discovered in the 1880s by archaeologist Philippe Virey. Despite some attempts to make a map, the meaning and nature of the site remained unknown until now.

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria found on the ISS — they’ve been up there for at least two years

That the ISS is laden with germs isn’t, honestly, much of a surprise. But some of them are highly resistant to antibiotics, and that’s worrying.

The International Space Station might sound spacey-clean but it is, in fact, crawling with microbes. JPL-NASA scientists report identifying several strains of Enterobacter in samples collected from the space station’s toilet and exercise area. Enterobacter is best known for infecting patients with weakened immune systems in hospitals, and being extremely resistant to antibiotics.

Luckily, the strains identified on the ISS aren’t pathogenic to (they don’t infect) humans. And, while it’s virtually impossible to have humans without bacteria — we trail our own microbiomes around anywhere we go — just finding any strain of Enterobacter on the station is enough cause for concern.

The genus is infamous for its preying on immunocompromised patients here on Earth; it’s also renowned for its ridiculous resistance to antibiotics. Space is (pardon the quip) an environment out of this world. There’s more radiation, there’s virtually no gravity, there are humans everywhere, crammed up in a tube with a lot of their carbon dioxide. All of these constraints could alter how the microbes live and multiply — these changes, could, in turn, cause them to become pathogenic to humans.

NASA employs quite a handful of microbiologists at its Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who regularly analyze microbe samples sent down from the ISS to see whether space life alters their populations or habits. The microbiologists also keep an eye on any potential biological hazards to either equipment or the astronauts’ health. This is the first time they’ve identified antibiotic-resistant Enterobacter strains in the station.

“To show which species of the bacteria were present on the ISS, we used various methods to characterise their genomes in detail. We revealed that genomes of the five ISS Enterobacter strains were genetically most similar to three strains newly found on Earth,” explained microbiologist Kasthuri Venkateswaran.

“These three strains belonged to one species of the bacteria, called Enterobacter bugandensis, which had been found to cause disease in neonates and a compromised patient, who were admitted to three different hospitals (in east Africa, Washington state and Colorado).”

The samples were collected in 2015. Since no astronauts have been struck down since then, the bugs seem not to be an immediate threat. However, the team says this state of affairs can quickly change — and it would be bad. The space-borne Enterobacter were found to be resistant to a wide range of antibiotics, and virtually completely immune to cefazolin, cefoxitin, oxacillin, penicillin, and rifampin.

The strains also share 112 genes with clinical strains, associated with virulence, disease, and defense. The team reports that computer models show a 79% probability that the space strains will develop a human pathogen and cause disease.

Right now, however, the astronauts are safe. The possibilities, however worrying, have yet to be tested in living organisms. So the team is working to better understand the situation and develop a response procedure (that they hope never to use) against these bacteria.

“Whether or not an opportunistic pathogen like E. bugandensis causes disease and how much of a threat it is, depends on a variety of factors, including environmental ones,” Venkateswaran said. “Further in vivo studies are needed to discern the impact that conditions on the ISS, such as microgravity, other space, and spacecraft-related factors, may have on pathogenicity and virulence.”

The paper “Multi-drug resistant Enterobacter bugandensis species isolated from the International Space Station and comparative genomic analyses with human pathogenic strains” has been published in the journal BMC Microbiology.

The photo that captured two breathtaking atmospheric wonders couldn’t have been taken at a more perfect time. The picture caught the incredibly unique moment that the Northern Lights – also known as the aurora borealis – and a ‘moonbow’ were seen together at the exact same time.

The astonishing picture was taken in Abisko in the Swedish Lapland which is north of the Arctic Circle. It was captured by Chad Blakeley who is the founder of “Lights Over Lapland” which helps visitors experience and photograph the spectacular phenomenon of the Northern Lights. “We’ve set up an Aurora webcam giving our community a live feed of images of the night Sky and Northern Lights,” Blakeley explained. And it was when he was reviewing the footage that he noticed the moonbow forming through the Northern Lights. “It was a unique experience for me and I’ve been photographing the Northern Lights every winter for the last 10 years,” he said.

A moonbow – which is also known as a lunar rainbow – works similar to a daytime rainbow except that it needs moonlight instead of sunlight to pass through the water particles in the air. They are, however, seen less often than the daytime rainbows as they need more precise conditions in order to form. They need the light of the full moon to be reflected, as well as the water droplets at a specific angle in order to be created. Normally, moonbows appear white to the human eye although the colors are always there and that’s why long-exposure photos are the best way to see and appreciate their stunning features.

The moon has to be full or very close to being full and it has be located quite low in the dark sky at less than 42 degrees. The rain also needs to fall opposite of the moon. In order to witness a moonbow, you have to have the moon behind you and the best time to observe them is either a couple of hours after the sun sets or before the sun rises. There are certain locations around the world where people have a better chance at witnessing moonbows, such as Hawaii. They have also been around for many years, as Aristotle first mentioned seeing a moonbow in the year 350 BC.

There are two types of Auroras: the Aurora Borealis which means “dawn of the north”, and the Aurora Australis which means “dawn of the south”. These spectacular light shows are created when electrically charged particles from the sun enter our atmosphere on Earth. During strong solar storms, the particles enter our atmosphere and combine with gas particles which includes helium and hydrogen, and that’s what creates the breathtaking light shows. While the Auroras can display many colors, the most commonly seen ones are green and pink.

NASA's Future Spaceships Will Travel At 1 Million Miles Per Hour

NASA could be on the verge of a breakthrough. Currently, NASA is working on an advanced propulsion engine, that if cracked, can elevate our space travel to the next level. For decades, spacecraft have been stuck traveling at low chemical speeds, limiting our ability to research and explore space. However, now speeds of over one million miles per hour before 2050 are possible. The NASA institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC) is funding two high potential concepts.

There are new ion drives being developed right now that could have power levels that are tens thousand times higher. Antimatter propulsion and multi-megawatt ion drives are being developed. The current speeds of spacecraft are quite low in space terms. The Voyager 1 spacecraft is moving at 38,000 mph (61,000 km/h). This speed was achieved mostly by a chemical rocket but also with the assistance of gravity, using it to slingshot the spacecraft out of orbit. Juno, Helios I and Helios II managed to reach speeds of around 150,000 mph using gravitational boosts also. The recently launched Parker Solar Probe will reach 430,000 mph using the Sun's gravity.

Gravitational boosts are our current best way of achieving higher speeds for our spacecraft. However, this method is also detrimental to our research and exploration as it takes a lot of time to work. It can take many months before the desired speed is achieved and the real mission starts.

The new methods will use 50000 ISP lithium ion thrusters, the first of which will be tested in 4 months. This is part of a NASA NIAC phase 2 study to use lasers to beam 10 megawatts of power into new ion drivers. The recent progress of lasers is largely unknown to the public. The US military is developing lasers that can produce a whopping 100 kilowatts within the next two years.

Laser beam powered ion drives will be up to ten times faster than any previous ion drive. A spacecraft with this technology would take less than a year to get to Pluto.

Jet Propulsion Lab is building and ironing out the many components used in this system. The sail and the ion drives are finally coming together. The hardest part will be creating and sustaining the phased array lasers. Testing voltage will be boosted up to 6000 volts. This will allow the ion drives to be directly driven, which eliminates the need for a lot of electronics and weight. These type of ion drives do have many technical challenges, but predictions show a well-funded project could be successful before 2040.

InSight stretches its solar panels, beams back first clear photo from Mars

Landing on Mars is an incredibly challenging feat, a process that has claimed numerous probes and spacecraft over the last 50 years. On Monday, NASA landed its InSight Probe after it had traveled for six months through 300 million miles of space. According to the latest reports from NASA engineers, InSight has now deployed its array of solar panels so that it may recharge its batteries each day. The probe also beamed back its first clear photo of the Martian surface.

The picture was taken on November 26, 2018, the same day InSight landed on the Red Planet. The probe’s camera is still covered by a transparent dust cover meant to prevent damage to the lens upon landing.

The signal that the solar panels had been deployed successfully was transmitted to Earth at about 5:30 p.m. PST (8:30 p.m. EST) by NASA’s Mars Odyssey orbiter. The twin solar arrays are each 7 feet (2.2 meters) wide, when fully open. This now makes the lander about the size of a large 1960s convertible. But because Mars is so much farther away from the Sun than Earth, the amount of sunlight that reaches the Red Planet is also weaker. The panels should provide about 600 to 700 watts of power on a clear day and 200 to 300 watts the panels are covered in dust, which is practically the norm. Luckily, the probe’s sophisticated instruments do not require a lot of energy and InSight’s solar arrays should be more than capable of recharging the batteries.

“The InSight team can rest a little easier tonight now that we know the spacecraft solar arrays are deployed and recharging the batteries,” Tom Hoffman, InSight’s project manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, said in a statement. “It’s been a long day for the team. But tomorrow begins an exciting new chapter for InSight: surface operations and the beginning of the instrument deployment phase.”

InSight’s mission is unlike that of any spacecraft we’ve sent to Mars. All of our past probes have studied the planet’s environment above ground, but InSight is focused on what happens beneath the surface by listening to ‘marsquakes’. By studying these slight seismic waves, scientists want to determine what makes up the planet’s mantle and core. Basically, InSight will study seismic waves as they pass through the Red Planet, using that information as a sort of ultrasound to find out what is lurking underneath the crust.

InSight will also help scientist come to a better understanding of how the solar system formed and evolved. Both Mars and Earth are rocky planets that had lots of water on their surface during their rich history. However, the two planets look very differently today — Earth is wet and teeming with life while Mars is barren and dead.

Next, NASA will use a robotic arm to deploy instruments on the surface of Mars, among them the precious seismometer and a heat flow probe. However, it will take at least three months before there will be any seismic data available. That’s because NASA wants to make sure that the instruments are properly set up and calibrated. Meanwhile, InSight will use its weather sensors and magnetometer to make measurements from its landing site at Elysium Planitia.

Archaeologists discover 4,000 year-old-game in rock shelter. It’s called “58 Holes”

The exciting Bronze Age discovery was made in a rock shelter in Azerbaijan, and it suggests that the ancient people who designed it had long-reaching and intriguing cultural exchanges.

A dot pattern chiseled on stone at a Eurasian rock-shelter indicates that an ancient Near Eastern game called 58 Holes quickly spread to a distantherding population, a scientist says.

A game called “58 Holes” or “Hounds and Jackals” is believed to have been invented in Egypt 4200 years ago, becoming increasingly popular over the next centuries, and ultimately fading away some 3650 years ago. But before its popularity dropped, it reached other parts of the world, such as Mesopotamia and Persia, where it also became pretty common.

At least 68 gameboards of 58 Holes have been found archaeologically, including examples from ancient cities such as Babylon, Ur, and Thebes. Archaeologist Walter Crist had been looking for examples of the game in the Azerbaijan area (which lies in the Caspian, a former USSR region). He got lucky when he found a photograph in an Azerbaijani online magazine. He had a contact in the country and arranged to visit the country in April 2018. His luck, however, took a turn for the worse: the site had been scrapped by bulldozers to develop a residential neighborhood. Thankfully, a science official learned of the situation and informed Crist about another similar pattern.

The archaeologist traveled to the new site and indeed found another board game sketched on the inside of a Bronze Age rock shelter that dated to approximately 4,000 years ago. Although precise dating has not been carried out, the archaeological context strongly suggests this approximate time frame.

Bronze Age herders in that region must have had contacts with the Near Eastern world,” Crist said. “Ancient games often passed across cultures and acted as a social lubricant.”

The pegs found at some archaeological sites were made of valuable materials such as gold, silver, or ivory. Of course, most versions would have featured simpler pegs made from wood, but these would have perished by now.
