Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Bedroom Encounters: Ghostly Black Dogs & Supernatural Wolves
Now and again I’ll find myself on the receiving end of a report in which the witness encounters alarge, red-eyed black dog or a giant wolf staring at them while in bed or on the bed. And usually in the dead of night; sometimes, however, during the day. Typically, the witnesses – awakened by the animals – are unable to move at the time of the encounters. A deep sense of dread suddenly envelopes them. Then, suddenly, after a few moments or even minutes, the creatures are gone. From a woman who as a young girl had a traumatic encounter with an infernal, supernatural hound at the height of the Second World War, we have the following: “At the time, because of the war, my mother and I usually stayed with an elderly gentleman, who had kindly taken us in as ‘refugees’ from London. We only went back to the capital when the bombing ceased. The cottage where we lived is still in existence, in Bredon, Worcestershire. My encounter took place one late afternoon in summer, when I had been sent to bed, but was far from sleepy.”
She continued: “I was sitting at the end of the big brass bedstead, playing with the ornamental knobs, and looking out of the window, when I was aware of a scratching noise, and an enormous black dog had walked from the direction of the fireplace to my left. It passed round the end of the bed, towards the door. As the dog passed between me and the window, it swung its head round to stare at me – it had very large eyes, which glowed from inside as if lit up, and as it looked at me I was quite terrified, and very much aware of the creature’s breath, which was warm and as strong as a gust of wind.
“The animal must have been very tall, as I was sitting on the old-fashioned bedstead, which was quite high, and our eyes were level. Funnily enough, by the time it reached the door, it had vanished. I assure you that I was wide awake at the time, and sat on for quite some long while wondering about what I had seen, and to be truthful, too scared to get into our bed, under the clothes and go to sleep. I clearly remember my mother and our host, sitting in the garden in the late sun, talking and hearing the ringing of the bell on the weekly fried-fish van from Birmingham, as it went through the village! I am sure I was not dreaming, and have never forgotten the experience, remembering to the last detail how I felt, what the dog looked like.” Moving on…
Dion Fortune was an occultist, mystic, and the author of a number of acclaimed works, and whose real name was Violet Mary Firth. Fortune, who died in 1946 at the age of fifty-five, was someone who was skilled at creating monsters in the mind and who then unleashed them into the world around her. It was grey and colorless, and had weight. I could distinctly feel its back pressing against me as it lay beside me on the bed as a large dog might.
“I knew nothing about the art of making elementals at that time, but had accidentally stumbled upon the right method – the brooding highly charged with emotion, the invocation of the appropriate natural force, and the condition between sleeping and waking in which the etheric double readily extrudes.”
Altogether, I have eleven cases in my files of sightings by the bed of large black dogs (with blazing red eyes) and supernatural wolves. Of course, the skeptic would very likely say that because the encounters occurred in bedrooms and so often well into the early hours of the morning, the witnesses were just having particularly vivid dreams. And as for the inability of the witnesses to move, it may be suggested that sleep paralysis is the culprit. Perhaps so. But, in all of the cases? And why so many deeply similar incidents, in terms of the specific appearances of the creatures that are encountered time and again?
Nightmares or nightmarish creatures? It’s a question I ponder on.

These appear to be algae based plankton. These plankton are slow to move because they are algae based. Now Russian astronauts announced to the world that they found large plankton growing on the space stations solar panels about 3-4 years ago. Russia...not NASA announced it. It was in world news...but finally here are some videos of the creatures. You are looking at aliens. Non intelligent, but nevertheless...alive. Duitse wetenschappers hebben een meetapparaat ontwikkeld waarmee kan worden vastgesteld of de raadselachtige EmDrive echt werkt.
Deze ‘brandstofloze’ motor, die volgens sommigen voor een revolutie kan zorgen in de ruimtevaart door raketten overbodig te maken, blijft voor controverse zorgen.
De EmDrive werkt naar verluidt door stroom om te zetten in een stuwende kracht door microgolven in een afgesloten ruimte heen en weer te laten kaatsen.
Zonder brandstof
Het aandrijfsysteem zou op deze manier zonder brandstof stuwkracht produceren, iets wat volgens wetenschappers in strijd is met de natuurkundige wetten.
Hoewel eerdere tests met het apparaat interessante resultaten hebben opgeleverd, is men het er niet over eens of het daadwerkelijk stuwkracht genereert.
Het probleem is dat de waargenomen stuwkracht zo minuscuul is dat het moeilijk is vast te stellen of de EmDrive hier verantwoordelijk voor is, of dat er een ander proces aan ten grondslag ligt.
Extreem gevoelig
Martin Tajmar en zijn collega’s van het SpaceDrive-project in Duitsland hebben een extreem gevoelig meetapparaat ontwikkeld dat in staat moet zijn om te bepalen of de stuwkracht echt wordt geproduceerd door de EmDrive.
De resultaten van het team worden naar verwachting gepubliceerd in augustus en gepresenteerd op een congres in oktober.

Reflect On:
Would it be easy for an intelligent extraterrestrial to visit Earth? It doesn't seem so, it seems our reaction is always to shoot first and ask questions after. Is this really an intelligent decision?
Global governments and intelligence agencies around the world have released hundreds of thousands of pages of documents pertaining to the UFO phenomenon over the past few years. These files indicate that objects are commonly tracked on radar and pursued by our own military craft, which are then sent out to take a closer look. The files also reveal there have been sightings of strange objects travelling at tremendous speeds and performing maneuvers that no known aircraft is capable of performing.
These types of UFOs might now be officially verified within the mainstream, but they’ve been seen, photographed, and recorded by credible witnesses for decades. For example, here’s a document (straight from the CIA’s FOIA Electronic Reading Room) pertaining to “a group of red, green, and yellow flying saucers” that were seen “hovering” over multiple military bases in Antarctica. Here’sanother detailing how, when intercepters approached the object, pilots lost “all instrumentation and communications.” Here’sa great interview (and there’s no shortage of them) with navy commander pilot Graham Bethune, who describes another extraordinary in-flight encounter.
These objects are thought to be extraterrestrial in origin, not only because of their technological superiority, but also because many high-ranking political and military insiders, along with prestigious academics, have shared information they’ve been privy to regarding actual intelligent extraterrestrial beings visiting our planet. There could be several different groups doing so at the present moment. It may sound far-fetched, but as we move through 2017 and beyond, bits of truth will continue to leak out, and the “official campaign of secrecy and ridicule” that Roscoe Hillenkoetter described to the New York Times in 1960 may come to an end.
That being said, once this box is opened, everything will change. It will have tremendous implications for humanity — philosophically, scientifically, and technologically. Our world would change forever.
The Document
It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies were keeping tabs on other countries. We know spying happens all the time, and other governments probably did the same to North American governments as well.
The UFO issue has obviously been of extreme interest to these agencies, given the scale of resources put toward investigating it. One document within the CIA archives also shows that they were interested in reports of actual extraterrestrial bodies.
For example, here is one that was addressed to “certain scientists of distinction,” to “aeronautical and military authorities,” and to “a number of public officials.” The document, stored in the FBI database, shows interest in a letter written by someone with “several university degrees” and a former “university department head.” It provides information, (on pages 21 and 22) about extraterrestrial beings, their craft, how they operate, and where they come from.
Again, the question to ask here is, why were intelligence agencies so interested in this? They continue to investigate any reports of extraterrestrial bodies, and I have to wonder if it’s because they’ve had secrets of their own. Is it because, as Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell once put it so bluntly, “there have been crashed craft, and bodies recovered”?
When you study ufology, you come across all sorts of stories, and one interesting thing these stories seem to share is that “they” (whoever is operating these crafts) are not interested in confrontation.
For example, in a (well-known) document released via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Four-Star General Nathan Twinning wrote that the “phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious” and that “the reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of climb, maneuverability (particularly in roll), and action which must be considered evasive when sighted or contacted by friendly air-craft and radar, lend belief to the possibility that some of the objects are controlled either manually, automatically or remotely.”
The key word there is “evasive.” This point was also made a few years ago by former Canadian Defence Minister Paul Hellyer, who stated that, “Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about where we were headed and offered to help. But Instead, we, or at least some of us, interpreted their visits as a threat, and decided to shoot first and ask questions after.” In that same speech, he also mentions the fact that, as a result of our own displays of aggression, the UFOs started to take “corrective measures to avoid our air-craft,” and that some pilots actually lost their lives as a result of retaliation.
The KGB Incident
Which brings us to a document, stored in the CIA archives, that describes how Mikhail Gorbachev — who, by the way, once publicly stated that “the phenomenon of UFOs does exist, and it must be treated seriously” — was “dissolved.”
It’s a document keeping tabs on a report a media outlet put out, which again, clearly shows a high level of interest from them.
It states that “U.S. intelligence obtained a 250-page file on the attack by a UFO on a military unit in Siberia,” and it goes on to describe something extraordinary:
The file contains not only many documentary photographs and drawings, but also testimonies by actual participants in the events. One of the CIA representatives referred to this case as “a horrific picture of revenge on the part of extraterrestrial creatures, a picture that makes one’s blood freeze.”
According to the KGB materials, a quite low-flying spaceship in the shape of a saucer appeared above a military unit that was conducting routine training maneuvers. For unknown reasons, somebody unexpectedly launched a surface-to-air missile and hit the UFO. It fell to Earth not far away, and five short humanoids with “large heads and large black eyes” emerged from it.
It is stated in the testimonies by the two soldiers who remained alive that, after freeing themselves from the debris, the aliens came close together and then “merged into a single object that acquired a spherical shape.” That object began to buzz and hiss sharply, and then became a brilliant white. In a few seconds, the spheres grew much bigger and exploded by flaring up with an extrememly bright light. At that very instant, 23 soldiers who had watched the phenomenon turned into… stone poles. Only two soldiers who stood in the shade and were less exposed to the luminous explosion survived.
The document then goes on to state:
The KGB report goes on to say that the remains of the UFO and the “Petrified Soldiers” were transferred to a secret scientific research institution near Moscow. Specialists assume that a source of energy that is still unknown to Earthlings instantly changed the structure of the soldiers’ living organisms, having transformed it into a substance whose molecular composition is no different from that of limestone.
The document ends with a comment from a CIA representative, who said, “If the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case. The aliens possess such weapons and technology that go beyond all our assumptions. They can stand up for themselves if attacked.”
The Takeaway
Quite remarkable, isn’t it? This isn’t the only story of retaliation with regards to what happens when our agencies encounter a UFO. Yet, in every instance, we are the instigators it seems. Today, UFOs are no longer taboo, most people are well aware of their existence and all of the evidence that’s gone towards verifying that. The new question is whether some of them are extraterrestrial and some of them are not. Stories like this one, and countless others, are the reason why the extraterrestrial hypothesis has so much validity.

Er is een interessant document over UFO’s opgedoken uit het archief van de CIA. Het stuk begint met een verwijzing naar Michail Gorbatsjov, die openlijk heeft gezegd dat het fenomeen UFO’s bestaat en serieus moet worden genomen.
Het betreft hier een bericht dat in de jaren negentig in de Oekraïense kranten Ternopil vechirniy en Holos Ukrayiny is verschenen.
Nadat Gorbatsjov was afgetreden werd veel geheime informatie van de KGB doorgespeeld aan de CIA.
Steen
De Amerikaanse inlichtingendiensten kregen onder meer een 250 pagina’s tellend document over de aanval van een UFO op een legereenheid in Siberië.
Het document bevatte niet alleen foto’s en tekeningen, maar ook getuigenverklaringen.
In het vrijgegeven CIA-document valt te lezen dat Russische soldaten die per ongeluk een UFO neerschoten ‘in steen werden veranderd door aliens’.
In het stuk wordt gesteld dat 23 soldaten werden gedood door vijf aliens die in een vliegende schotel zaten die in 1993 boven Siberië uit de lucht werd geschoten.
Slechts twee
De vliegende schotel zou zijn verschenen op het moment dat een militaire eenheid in Siberië oefeningen deed.
Eén van de soldaten zou het object met een luchtdoelraket hebben neergehaald. “Vijf kleine humanoïden met grote hoofden en grote zwarte ogen stapten uit,” schreven de kranten.
Naar verluidt overleefden slechts twee soldaten het incident.
De vijf wezens kwamen volgens de kranten uit het gecrashte toestel en vuurden een lichtbol af waarna 23 soldaten ‘in steen’ veranderden.
Energiebron
Het rapport van de KGB vermeldt dat de resten van de soldaten werden overgebracht naar een geheim onderzoeksinstituut nabij Moskou.
“Experts nemen aan dat de structuur van het lichaam van de soldaten werd veranderd door een energiebron die voor ons nog onbekend is,” klinkt het.
De CIA merkte in een voetnoot op: “Als het rapport van de KGB overeenkomt met de werkelijkheid, is dit een extreem bedreigend voorval.”

In 2004 zag commandant David Fravor iets in de lucht wat hij nog nooit eerder had gezien. Hij wist niet zeker wat het was, en besloot het te achtervolgen met zijn F/A-18 Super Hornet.
Hij stelde dat het object in staat was tot volstrekt onverklaarbare manoeuvres, die met moderne vliegtuigen niet uit te voeren zijn.
“Technologisch gezien veel verder dan wat wij hebben,” zei hij tegen VICE News.
Openbaarheid
Fravor, die sceptisch staat tegenover de mogelijkheid van buitenaards bezoek, hield lange tijd zijn mond.
Maar in 2017 besloot hij samen met zijn copiloot om in de openbaarheid te treden.
Een interview met het tweetal werd gepubliceerd in de New York Times. De UFO-gemeenschap zag hun getuigenis als bewijs van buitenaards leven en Fravor werd een soort messias.
Ongemakkelijk
De aandacht maakte hem erg ongemakkelijk. “Ik heb de gevolgen van een artikel in de New York Times onderschat,” zei hij. “Ik zou zoiets nooit meer doen.”
Toch was Fravor afgelopen maand één van de sprekers op het McMenamins UFO Fest in de Amerikaanse staat Oregon, een grote conferentie over buitenaards leven.

Spend any time in the world of UFOs, alien abductions and extraterrestrials and you’ll find all flavors of origin stories, beliefs and strange support organizations. It’s easy to fall into the trap of pointing fingers and calling others “odd,” especially now that these types of snap judgments so permeate the entire world of social media. One person’s religion is another’s cult and vice versa. And yet … there are some that cross the line. This is the story of one of them.
“Pocono Mountain Regional Police responded to the scene in the early morning hours of July 15, 2017, after (Barbara) Rogers called 911 saying that (Steven) Mineo had placed a gun in her hands, pointed it at himself and pulled the trigger in their Coolbaugh Township (Pennsylvania) home. Police at the scene discovered that Mineo had been shot in the forehead at close range with a .45-caliber handgun. Rogers was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Mineo’s murder.
Police said Rogers told officers that Mineo asked her to kill him because he believed the leader of the cult was a “reptilian” pretending to be a human.”
On July 15th, 2017, Barbara Rogers admitted killing Steven Rogers at his request because he could no longer deal with being kicked out of Sherry Shriner, a group founded by and named for its now deceased leader who claimed, among many other things, that reptilian aliens pose as humans and dump snakes down people’s throats to “scalp” their souls. Believers in Reptilians contend that these shapeshifting humanoids control many of the world’s leaders in their quest to take over humanity (apologies to believers for that bare-bones summary – there’s plenty of more detailed explanations available by Google search). According to an investigation reported in The New Republic, Mineo had followed Sherry Shriner since at least 2004, but his problems seem to have started when Rogers became his girlfriend and she wrote a Facebook post praising steak tartare – an indication to Shriner’s followers that Mineo was living with a raw meat-eating Reptilian … or in Shriner’s words — a “Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier.”
Mineo defended her, claiming that a substance Shriner recommends called Orgone is supposed to kill Reptilians and it had no effect on Rogers … ergo, she’s not one of them. That didn’t pacify Shriner, so Mineo and Rogers left the group and Mineo released derogatory videos about Shriner, which allegedly caused fighting between all parties and, according to Rogers, drove him to the suicidal state that she merely helped him accomplish.
“I don’t run a cult. You can turn on my video or turn it off. You can turn on my podcast or turn it off. I don’t have a list or a membership rule.”
Sherry Shriner defended herself and her followers in an interview prior to her death by natural causes in 2018. Her website, blogs, self-published e-books, Twitter and Facebook posts and large YouTube library are still popular, especially with those who see a link between the Reptilians and Zionism. As expected, this case falls smack in the middle of many conspiracy theory debates raging today.
Whatever you believe, murder is still murder and dead is still dead – that’s a line that must not be crossed because it cannot be uncrossed.
Did anyone ever expect the term “Reptilians” to be used in a U.S. court of law? In ANY court of law? Rogers’ lawyers are expected to appeal. How far will this go? Will we someday be hearing stories about whether some Supreme Court justices should recuse themselves from this case because they themselves are Reptilians? It seems farfetched … but so did the idea that the mainstream media would someday cover UFOs.
New details keep emerging in the ongoing saga of To the Stars Academy and the U.S. Navy’s experiences with unidentified flying objects. Navy personnel continue to come forward to share their encounters with strange objects in the skies and on radar systems, yet we are no closer to understanding what this all means for our understanding of unidentified aerial phenomena – if it means anything at all. Is this what disclosure looks like, a psychological operation to sway public opinion, or just a great way to sell advertising space on cable TV? Could it be all three?
The Navy’s 2004 and 2014-2015 encounters with unidentified aerial phenomena have been well-documented in recent months – perhaps over-documented – and most of the information has been carefully controlled and released by To the Stars Academy. However, Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot Ryan Graves just this week went out on his own and shared new first-hand details of his and other pilots’ experiences during their 2015 deployment to the Persian Gulf aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Graves appears on the TTSA History Channel program Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, and has come forward to help clarify some of the comments he made in the heavily edited series. Specifically, Graves contacted The War Zone’s Tyler Rogoway to clear up some of the confusion concerning whether or not the USS Roosevelt continued to encounter anomalous radar tracks and incredibly fast flying objects while on deployment in 2015 to aid with the conflict in Syria. Graves says that his strike group indeed came into contact with what appeared to be the same UAPs while operating in both the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf, but that due to the nature of their mission, the strike group could not waste time or resources investigating the objects:
While flying in the med [Mediterranean] during the transit, or while operating in the Gulf, the workload we have is significantly higher and we had less time to explore the phenomena, especially at this point where it was such a daily occurrence we essentially only gave them enough thought as to avoid hitting them. However, to answer your question, in the med I did occasionally see radar signatures that performed in ways that were consistent with our experiences back home, though at a significantly reduced rate.
Graves goes on to note that the air over the Syrian conflict zone “is very congested airspace, there is much more air traffic than one would expect, both friendly and otherwise, especially as we go through the straits,” which made it even more difficult to identify anomalous aircraft. Still, this firsthand account adds to the intrigue and mystery surrounding these accounts of these encounters. Does this mean that the objects were following the strike group around the globe, or does this show that perhaps that the Navy’s pilots and new technologies simply encountered the same ‘glitches’ while on deployment as they did during training?

At the far end of the speculation spectrum, given all of the strange coincidences surrounding these accounts, could these encounters mean that the Navy brought some type of exotic new aerospace technology to the battlefield for the first time in 2015? Until we know the true nature of the objects seen by these pilots and other Navy personnel, everything remains total conjecture. Don’t hold your breath.
I’m far from alone in sensing that TTSA and/or the defense industrial complex probably have ulterior motives other than disclosure and aren’t telling us everything they know about these encounters or these objects. I still suspect that all of this is likely just a lead-up to a new arms race, recruiting propaganda for the Space Force, or the Navy prepping the public for a reveal of new paradigm-changing technologies; after all, much of the UFO waves of the mid-20th century are now regarded to have been a cover story for tests of formerly classified aerospace technologies like the first jet fighters, stealth aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and ultra-fast reconnaissance planes like the A-12 and SR-71.
All of this recent UFO news could very well be a means of obfuscating what’s really buzzing around in sensitive military airspace. If U.S. military personnel have seen and tracked these objects, chances are high that other nations’ militaries have as well. Maybe this is all the Department of Defense trying to muddy the waters surrounding what other nations know or think they know about these objects. Do we really trust “former” counterintelligence officers and “former” DoD spooks to tell us the truth on cable TV?

At least it would be if there were such a musical genre (note to self: it may be time to get the old CW band back together). A group of dedicated researchers who have spent the last 15 years freezing in Antarctica can finally head someplace warm after completely excavating the fossil remains of a 15-ton dinosaurthat looks an awful lot like what many people think the Loch Ness monster looks like – really long neck, 40-foot-long thin body and tail, four massive flippers and a mouth full of sharp teeth. Is it time for a Nessie song? Would a skiffle tune be more appropriate? With bagpipes?
“The presence of this specimen, located less than 2.5 meters below the K/Pg boundary, indicates the persistence of aristonectines at high latitudes short time before the mass extinction.”
That’s paleontology-speak for “We found a huge cousin of the plesiosaurs near the South Pole latitudes that survived to the end of the Cretaceous era before being wiped out by the Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction event (a massive comet or asteroid impact a long way off in the Gulf of Mexico).”
According to their paper in Crestaceous Research, archeologists discovered the fossils in 1989 on Marambio Island off the coast of Antarctica, but the sheer size and significance of the skeleton and the freezing conditions on the island forced the team to carefully remove it over an 18-year period culminating in 2017. Paleontologist and study co-author José O’Gorman of the Museum of La Plata summarized its importance:
“It is the largest elasmosaurid in the world.”
The elasmosaurids have the longest necks of the reptiles in the family of plesiosaurs and this discovery indicates that they survived right up until the big extinction rock hit Earth 66 million years ago, meaning Antarctica was a pretty nice place to live at the time, with plenty of warm water and food for 15 ton creatures. The question is, could one of more of these elasmosaurids have somehow survived the K–Pg extinction event or perhaps reappeared shortly after it and moved north to Scotland?
“Even in Antarctica, there were lots of happy elasmosaurs. It’s definitely an indication that toward the end of the Cretaceous, [plesiosaurs] managed to expand their feeding repertoire.”
Anne Schulp, a vertebrate paleontologist at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, was not involved in the research but told the National Geographic that the southern elasmosaurs known as the Aristonectes (meaning “best swimmers”) were bigger than their northern cousins and size of the one discovered on Marambio Island may indicate it’s a separate and new genus. The mouth full of teeth may have helped it grow to record size … the researchers believe the southern elasmosaurs fed more like whales – opening their mouths wide to envelop fish-filled waters and then close their mouths and expel the water, catching the fish in their teeth. Unfortunately, that same feeding method is probably why they couldn’t have survived until today – the K–Pg extinction event killed off almost all of their food sources.
We probably won’t find Nessie in Antarctica and it’s unlikely the Loch Ness Monster is a lost southern elasmosaur. However, that kind of stuff never stopped country-western songwriters before. Grab a geetar and a pen and come up with some new “monster” lyrics for this classic from Urban Cowboy.
Our planet is one small part of the solar system, which is itself one infinitesimally small part of our galaxy, the Milky Way. The Milky Way, possibly containing as many as 400 billion stars, is part of the Local Group, two linked clusters of over 54 galaxies. The Local Group is, in turn, part of the Virgo Supercluster, which contains at least 100 galaxy clusters. A 2014 study found that the Virgo Supercluster may in fact be a part of an even larger structure, the Laniakea Supercluster, which contains roughly 100,000 galaxies. There are about 10 million superclusters in the observable universe. These superclusters form cosmic filaments—threads of millions of galaxies weaved through the void like fungal mycelium through the forest’s soil. The resulting structure, what we believe the universe to look like, is called the Cosmic Web.
Until now, the Cosmic Web has been observed through the clusters and superclusters that, tied together by gravity, make up the cosmic filaments. A new study, however, has looked into the dark space between galaxy clusters and found a mysterious bridge of radio waves between two galaxy clusters almost 10 million light-years apart.
Abell 0399 and Abell 0401 are two galaxy clusters about 1 billion light-years from earth. They are slowly crashing together. Eventually they will merge into a larger structure, but considering there is 9.8 million light-years of space between them, it won’t happen for a long time.
It turns out Abell 0399 and Abell 0401 are already interacting in a perplexing way however. According to a paper published earlier this month in the journal Science, astronomers have observed a stream of electrons spiraling around magnetic fields at close to light speed linking the two galactic clusters. This is the first time an electromagnetic link between two beads in the Cosmic Web has been observed.

The European telescope array LOFAR detected the radio waves emitted by this stream of electrons—a phenomenon called synchrotron emission. Astronomers now believe that this type of link is common between galaxy clusters, but is hard to detect with today’s telescopes. According to astronomer Tracey Clarke of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory:
“The signal detected in this study is a factor of up to a hundred times brighter than some theoretical predictions for the emission from the synchrotron web. This is likely because it is enhanced in this region between these merging clusters.”

As with everything spacey, one new discovery creates even more mysteries. For one, astronomers do not know how synchrotron emission could be produced over such a vast distance. Also, the mechanism for accelerating electrons to near light speed over 9.8 million light-years remains unknown. According to Tracey Clarke:
“This opens a whole new set of doors to begin exploring things like the particle distribution in the filaments, the magnetic field strength—and potentially its origin—as well as acceleration or reaccelerating processes at work within the filaments.”
Just as we keep seeing new complex interactions at the smallest levels, it seems we’re finding new complex interactions at the largest levels. And the lower and upper limits on those levels seems to be changing all the time. The great thing about outer space is that it will most likely always be a mystery, an endless frontier of curiosity and wonder. You have to think of it that way, because it’s either that, or sheer terror at how very, very small we really are.

FastWalkers is a code name created by the North American Aerospace Defense Command to classify Unidentified Flying Objects which moving and changing directions at high speed and enter or leave the atmosphere at a great velocity.
Sometimes FastWalkers have been captured on the Defense Support Program satellite system as happened on May 5, 1984 when a DSP satellite captured a FastWalker while it was traveling a 22,000 mph.through space, while Fastwalkers caught by drones traveling at a speed of at least 2,000 mph.
Lately these objects or UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) are increasingly being observed and captured especially by drones. The latest sighting of a fastwalker took place in Mieroszow, Poland on May 30, 2019 where a drone captured such an UAP on camera.
Although we do not know what these UAPs could be, it is quite possible that these objects are secret technology belonging to the U.S. military or even deployed by its adversaries.

A team of astronomers found a “large excess of mass” under the Moon’s largest crater, the Aitken basin — likely a relic from an ancient asteroid impact event, but perhaps something much stranger.
“Imagine taking a pile of metal five times larger than the Big Island of Hawaii and burying it underground,” said lead author Peter B. James from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in a statement. “That’s roughly how much unexpected mass we detected.”

The strange mass extends to “depths of more than 300 km [186 miles]” according to the researchers’ paper, which was published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters earlier this year.
To find the mass, the researchers looked at changes in the strength of gravity around the Moon by analyzing data from NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) mission.

Computer simulations suggest that the crater could have been created by an iron-nickel core asteroid that spread out into the upper mantle of the Moon during impact while the metal “could remain suspended in the Moon’s mantle until the present day, rather than sinking to the Moon’s core,” James said.
Another theory floating around as to what the mass might be the result of: lunar magma ocean solidification, or the process in which a once molten Moon surface solidified over billions of years while forming dense oxides.
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) contains the genetic instructions for all known living things. And scientists at US space agencyNASA have created an “alien” form of DNA. This DNA could lead breakthroughs in understanding what alien life could resemble.
The NASA discovery suggests there might be unimagined forms of DNA-based life as we know it on Earth.

And alien life on other worlds might be built using different molecular systems of the kind the NASA scientists have synthesised, they have suggested.
The new molecular system will allow scientists searching for alien life to recalibrate what exactly they are actually looking for and where it could exist.
DNA is a complex double helix-shaped molecule stored and then transmitting the genetic information that makes us who we are.
And this week’s announcement is a huge breakthrough, as the study has has created such a molecule.
Lori Glaze, acting director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division said: “Life detection is an increasingly important goal of NASA’s planetary science missions, and this new work will help us to develop effective instruments and experiments that will expand the scope of what we look for.”
The new research saw scientists create a new kind of molecule system that functions like DNA, but has an important difference.
Instead of DNA’s usual four ingredients, the NASA scientists have created one containing eight.
It has all of the four that are found in life on Earth: adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine.
Steven Benner, leader of the research team at the Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution in Alachua, Florida, said: “By carefully analysing the roles of shape, size and structure in hachimoji DNA, this work expands our understanding of the types of molecules that might store information in extraterrestrial life on alien worlds.”
The NASA study appears to have proved how life could structure itself in different ways than it does on Earth, at the most fundamental level.
This means unimagined alien life forms could be thriving in environments never previously considered by those searching for it.
Mary Voytek, senior scientist for Astrobiology at NASA Headquarters said: “Incorporating a broader understanding of what is possible in our instrument design and mission concepts will result in a more inclusive and, therefore, more effective search for life beyond Earth.”
The meteorite crater was discovered near Ullapool, Scotland.
Britain might be a green place that’s full of life today, but 1.2 billion years ago, it was a completely different place — the whole world was. Plants hadn’t migrated onto land yet, and all macroscopic life was still in the sea. Judging by its dry land, Earth was a barren planet. At that time, Scotland was around the equator, making it an arid, Mars-like landscape.
When the meteorite struck, the change in landscape wouldn’t have been observed by anyone, although the impact was probably felt by any microorganisms unfortunate enough to lie too close to the impact site. For geologists, however, the site of the impact was quite lucky: it was quickly covered by sediment favoring its preservation.
At about 1 km across, it wasn’t a huge meteorite, but it came down at 40,000mph, striking the Earth with a force 940 million times greater than that of the Hiroshima bomb. Although it created a 40 km-wide crater, the fact that it was preserved was quite lucky. Lead author Dr. Ken Amor explains:
“The material excavated during a giant meteorite impact is rarely preserved on Earth, because it is rapidly eroded, so this is a really exciting discovery. It was purely by chance this one landed in an ancient rift valley where fresh sediment quickly covered the debris to preserve it”.
“It would have been quite a spectacle when this large meteorite struck a barren landscape, spreading dust and rock debris over a wide area,” he adds.

The site was discovered near Ullapool, in northwest Scotland and it’s the oldest meteorite impact ever recorded in the UK. The largest ever meteorite was discovered in Free State, South Africa, and it’s called the Vredefort crater. Vredefort crater has an estimated radius of 118 miles (190 kilometers), making it the world’s largest known impact structure. This crater was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
Meteorite impacts were a bit more common back then due to all the leftover debris from the formation of the solar system still floating around. Even now, it’s unclear how common and likely this sort of impact was at the time. A commonly used estimate states that collisions with an object of about 1 km in size occur once every 100,000-1,000,000 years. However, these estimates can vary quite a bit — one of the reasons we don’t have better estimates is because these impact sites aren’t often preserved. Meanwhile, smaller impacts (where the meteorite is only a few meters across) are much more common, occurring about once every 25 years on average. In December 2018, a meteorite exploded in the atmosphere above the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia and we barely even noticed.

One of the most logically-baffling solar mysteries is the fact that the sun’s surface is close to 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit while its outer atmosphere is several million degrees hotter. The body of the heat’s source itself is cooler than the atmosphere surrounding the fireball — and that’s simply against the common sense of physics.
Some physicists think that the terrific, intense heat displayed in the outer limits of the sun’s atmosphere may be explained by magnetic waves traveling to and from the solar surface, bouncing off the upper atmosphere (otherwise known as the corona) of the star. Recent studies have suggested that this activity could be tied to the sun’s zone of preferential ion heating. In this zone, ions reach scorching temperatures exceeding those at the very core of the sun.
Another element which has a role to play in this outlying solar vortex are Alfven waves. These waves are low-frequency oscillations traveling through a plasma in a magnetic field. Scientists think that these waves are making solar wind particles to collide and ricochet off one another. But once it hits the outskirts of the zone of preferential heating, the solar wind sweeps by at an extremely fast pace. Thus, it manages to evade the Alfven waves from there on out.
Researchers at trying to definitively mark the extent to which the superheating effect reaches beyond the sun. Recent research has brought light to a connection between the Alfven point (the point of altitude beyond the solar surface that permits solar wind particles to break free of the sun) and the outskirts of the zone of preferential heating. These two fields have fluctuated in unison. They shall continue their dance, and in 2021, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe, christened in honor of physicist Eugene Parker, should come in contact with the two boundaries.
The spacecraft includes instruments capable of recording a number of significant data pertaining to those solar fields. The information it would collect in some two years to come would be invaluable in this particular study.
The Parker Solar Probe was launched in August 2018.
