DUIZENDEN MENSEN ZIEN VREEMD OBJECT BOVEN KANSAS CITY , USA ( VIDEO )

Photographs Of A Supposed Alien Ship Dropped in Australia
Photographs Of A Supposed Alien Ship Dropped in Australia
Those who say that UFO photos are always blurred and too far away to be able to identify them can not say the same about the images were taken by two men in Australia.(alien ship dropped in Australia)
The photos and selfies are just above what they say are the remains of an alien spacecraft, even its beer can is clearly visible. What is “blurry” now, is exactly what it could be .
This case belongs to MUFON and is the number 99,500, which can also be seen on the UFO Stalker website. Obviously, the report is not made by the actual witnesses/photographers and was submitted two years after the alleged discovery.
“One of them sent me these pictures of their friends who were out on motor bikes in the Macedon ranges where they came upon a crashed UFO. They took some pictures that I am sending to MUFON”
“They called some friends and told them that they would come to pick them up to show them the object. When they returned a few hours later, the site had been cleaned and there were no remains of it. There was a police tape but everything else was gone. They took some pictures with their phones before and after. “(alien ship dropped in Australia)
The post of MUFON was picked up by the intrepid observers of the UFO portal TexasUFO, who uploaded the photos to their website and social networks, where the skeptics focused on the idea that the supposed debris seemed to come from a movie.
The MUFON post was picked up by intrepid UFO watchers TexasUFOs, who uploaded the pictures to their website and social media pages, where skeptics centered on the idea that the alleged debris looked like it was from a movie set. That’s entirely possible, since Mount Macedon (the name of the town and the mountain it sits at the foot of) has been used by some film crews – most notably for scenes in the 2009 sci-fi film “Knowing,” the 2010 horror film “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” and the 2009 fantasy “Where the Wild Things Are.” However, those scenes were shot four years before the alleged UFO wreckage was discovered – enough time for it to deteriorate (movie sets aren’t made to last) or be vandalized.
The Macedon is also just a few kilometers from the location of Hanging Rock, the famous geological formation that has strong spiritual and cultural significance to the Dja Dja Wurrung, Woi Wurrung and Taungurung tribes. This mamelon rock formation was formed by volcanic magma cooling in place rather than flowing, and the unique configurations this created include the Hanging Rock (a boulder suspended between other boulders, the Colonnade, the Eagle, a number of pareidolic faces on rocks and the … here it comes … UFO! (You can see the formations here.)
Of course, any reference to Hanging Rock brings up “Picnic at Hanging Rock,” the 1975 Peter Weir movie based on the book of the same name. Both center around the unsolved mysterious disappearance of three young girls on Valentine’s Day in 1900 that some believe could have been due to a UFO abduction or mysterious powers emanating from Hanging Rock. Some people have even reported seeing the ghosts of the girls in the area. What most forget because of the realistic style of both is that the book is a novel and not based on any historical event.
Yes, the movie was filmed at and around Hanging Rock, which brings us back to the UFO wreckage report and photographs. Texas UFOs found a video that leads them to consider it was from a TV series, but there’s no concrete proof that it’s a TV prop either.
Then there is the “police barrier tape”. That is the strangest part of this report. Why would the police be called to remove a set of old movies and why would they cordon off the area with yellow tape? It does not sound like things were from a movie … or a picnic … Any ideas?
And that’s entirely possible since the film crew has used Monte Macedon (the name of the city and the mountain where it sits), especially for the scenes of the 2009 science fiction film “Knowing”, the film of terror “Do not be afraid of the dark.”(alien ship dropped in Australia)
However, those scenes were filmed four years before the alleged UFO accident was discovered, enough time for it to deteriorate (movie sets are not made to last) or to be vandalized.
Whatever it is, this sounds like a great argument for a new movie in a beautiful place that is cheaper to shoot than Hollywood. What do you think about it?
What: Large mystery object discovered in woods, appearing to be a craft that has crashed
Updated 4/5/2019:Folks online have tracked down photos from the set of the Syfy show called "Hunters" and they show a very similar (man-made, fictional) craft shown in the photos sent to MUFON.
Some phenomenal, head-scratching photos were shared to MUFON recently (case 99500) and they apparently depict a crashed UFO, which oddly enough seems to blend in with the trees surrounding. According to the witnesses, the UFO was gone when they went back to investigate later and instead there was police tape:
I was talking to my sons friends and saying that I had in the past seen things that made me believe that UFO's exist.
One of them sent me these pictures of their friends who were out on motor bikes in the Macedon ranges where they came upon a crashed UFO. They took some pictures that I am sending to you.
They called some friends and told them they would come and pick them up to show them the object.
When they returned t a few hours later he site had been cleaned and there was no remains of the object. There was some police barrier tape but everything else was gone. They did take some pictures with their phones before and after.
What do you think these pictures show? A man-made structure, perhaps a tree house or even a movie set? Or something more alien than that?
The Dark Knight satellite conspiracy theory claims that there is at least one alienUFO in near-polar orbit of the Earth. This has led UFO conspiracy theorists to claim US space agency NASA is engaged in a cover-up regarding the Dark Knight satellite’s existence and origin. And well-known alien life believer Scott Waring has reignited the bizarre theory after re-examining a photo from the iconic Apollo 10 moon mission.
UFO sighting: This NASA photo is believed by some to show the Black Knight satellite

The NASA photo is believed by some to show the Black Knight satellite, but the space agency has stated this was likely space debris, specifically a thermal blanket lost during an extravehicular mission.
Waring’s post soon attracted scores of comments on his YouTube channel.
Cosmic Soul wrote: “Dark Knight is always monitoring us.. it's part of their mission... And for many decades.”
However Leatherneck Joe is a little more sceptical, commenting: “You can never tell, could be what you say or a one of hundreds of satellites in orbit.”
Local farmers in Santa Fe, north-eastern Argentina, have seen seven cows killed and mutilated with some believing extraterrestrials are killing the bovine animals.
Witnesses claim the cows look as if they were attacked with lasers, while strange markings were also found on their tongues and genitals.
Farmers in the region are blaming aliens or the mythical chupacabra – a myth from South America which supposedly feeds on animals’ blood.
Norberto Bieri, owner of one of the seven cows, told local media: “They did not have tongues or flesh around the jaw, but they did not take any animals away or remove their bones.
“It seems as though the clean incisions were done with a laser as there is no trace of a knife being used. The cows did not have signs of blood and nothing had appeared to eat them.
“Some people say chupacabra or aliens did it. Others believe it was rodents.
“The truth is, the cows are dead and there are no answers as to why.”
Mr Bieri added that there had been other recent cases of mutilated animals.
Flesh had been ripped away from the skeleton

Aliens or chupacabra is to blame, according to locals
(Image: CEN)
Samples were sent to the lab to be analysed and results indicated the cattle had not been shot or poisoned, adding more mystery to the case.
However, experts offered their, more logical, opinion.
A rat-like animal called hocicudo is endemic to South America and some believe they are responsible.
Animal expert Juan Calla Fontana said that animals often die at this time of the year “due to exposure and lack of food and therefore there is nothing mysterious here”.
Following the cattle’s deaths, the hocicudo, a natural scavenger, would have moved in, targeting the soft parts of the animal such as tongues, eyes, ears and anus – leaving the cow looking as if it had been mutilated.
“Blame it on the Chupacabra” sounds like it could be the title of a country western song (note to self: dust off guitar and call agent) but it’s more likely to be the lament of farmers – particularly in Puerto Rico, Texas and Central and South America – who have lost goats, sheep and chickens under mysterious circumstances. However, cattle mutilations, at least in the U.S., are often attributed to aliens, especially if they occur in the 37th parallel latitude which is home to many UFO sightings. But not in Argentina, where a particularly brutal cow mutilation last week is being blamed on a Chupacabra. Unfortunately, this is eerily similar to another series of cattle mutilations in September 2018 in Argentina that were also blamed on Chupacabras. Are they connected? Is this story worthy of a song … or an investigation?
“The Chupacabras is back, in action , and with such inexplicable consequences that they never cease to surprise others and others. The precision of the cuts, the state of the animal that does not seem to decompose, the absence of scavengers, are some of the many curiosities that are in suspense to the town of La Paz, in Catamarca where the event occurred.”
Infocampo, an agricultural media source in Argentina, appears to be the first to report the incident on the farm owned by Ariel Sorribes in the northwestern province of Catamarca on the Chilean border. (Apologies to them for the poor Google translations.) After noticing the herd count down by one, a worker found the mutilated cow under a tree. Sorribes stated that the cow had been healthy and vaccinated. The site cautioned that the photos were horrific (see them here) and the report listed the missing organs (udder, vulva, anus, eyes, tongue, and maxillary muscle) and complimented the killer on the precise cuts made to remove them – cuts that in the U.S. would be blamed on aliens or a surgeon who dabbles as a weird rustler or a provider of organs to cults. But wait … there’s more:
“No one can make such a perfect cut with a scalpel, in addition all the wounds seem sealed. There are even rarer things, for example, no scavenger comes close to the body of the animal. Nothing eh, nothing at all. Not a carancho, not a vulture, nothing. Above, it seems that the meat does not decompose and is all intact.”
OK, now it’s getting strange … and beyond the powers of a normal Chupacabra. No decomposition, wounds sealed and no vultures. If only there were more pictures …
“In addition to all that, when the pawn wanted to take more pictures, his cell phone was turned off. He thought it was the battery that had run out, but no. Then came a teacher from a nearby school, because she wanted to film the cow, and neither did her cell phone … It is as if it were a magnetic field, or something that prevents taking pictures.”
Whoa! This is obviously the work of aliens, right? Farmer Ariel Sorribes asked for an answer and this is what he got from SENASA, the National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality:
“For similar cases, SENASA has said that it is the work of the snout mouse.”
The what? Believe it or not, the Hocicudo is a long-snouted mouse that was blamed for the mutilations last year. Hocicudo are scavengers that like to dine on the soft parts of dead animals and there are plenty of dead animals in cattle country.
What about the dead phones? The precise cuts that seemed to heal themselves? The lack of vultures? The web site La Gran Epoca (The Epoch Times) says the ranchers are nervous because the unexplained mutilations have been going on for years. One explained the financial consequences:
“It’s not just in my field, it’s in the whole region. Behind the Cerrito killed five, in Malabrigo a while ago killed seven, a neighbor killed two, so they add up and when you get the count are 20 or 30 animals per month … and are 15,000 pesos (about 335 dollars) each heifer.”
Would you blame the Chupacabra? Aliens? If not those, then who … or what? What latitude is Catamarca? (28th south.) Does anyone dare follow it to search for more dead cattle?
In the meantime … what rhymes with Chupacabra besides macabre and candelabra?
I killed that Chupacabra With my candelabra It was real macabre
The above image is real but from another sighting in Scotland.
A Minnesota witness at Fridley reported watching two sphere-shaped red lights in the sky and a helicopter that moved into the same airspace to intercept them, according to testimony in Case 92957 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The incident occurred at 10:30 p.m. on June 26, 2018.
“My wife had left some things on the clothes line and it was forecast to rain late evening,” the witness stated. “I work nights and had been up about an hour. I took the clothes down and put the basket on the patio. I usually always have a smoke and walk around the yard, check out the sky. The far side of the yard is pretty clear with a good view west. As soon as I looked up, I noticed two very bright red lights. Had no idea what this was.
“Both were motionless, one was much larger than the other. From my vantage point one was about the size of the moon, the smaller one about the size of a very bright star. I stood staring at them for about a minute or so and the small light was at about 11 o’clock in relation to the large light and maybe what looked to be about six inches between them. The small light slowly moved right above the large light keeping what looked to be the same distance. It again was motionless for maybe 20-30 seconds and returned to the 11 o’clock position. Within about 30 seconds it slowly went straight up into the cloud cover.
“The large red light this whole time has not moved or changed the intensity of its red color. The small red light was not visible through the clouds. About 10-20 seconds it became visible again and was descending until it was nearly out of sight because of the tree line. Just before it left sight, the large red light flashed very bright, in fact enough to eliminate a quick red glow on the clouds above. It then started to descend.
“With the small light now no longer visible and the large one nearing the tree line I could hear a helicopter not far away east of my location. Just as the large light dropped out of my line of sight, I could see the helicopter because it had a very powerful spot light on the front. It travelled nearly over my house at a very high rate of speed, at least I’ve never seen a helicopter at that speed at tree top level in a residential area before.
“In fact, I was quite surprised because we have high tension power lines very near us and they ate up much higher than the tree level. At this point both objects/red lights are totally out of my view and the helicopter also left my sight in the same vicinity as the lights. I’m guessing the distance was maybe a quarter mile or just slightly more which puts two major freeways, 94/694 West and 252 going north and south nearly right underneath where I saw the lights. I didn’t know what to think when I first saw the lights, but the movement and flash of light was spectacular, most likely a once in a life time observance. The helicopter with the search light sealed my thoughts and confirmed it was most likely something more than just red lights. This whole episode was less than five minutes and it has definitely changed my perspective on UFOs.”
Minnesota MUFON Field Investigator William Odden closed this case as an Unknown-Other.
Are Ancient Alien Civilizations Sending Signals inBacteria?
Are Ancient Alien Civilizations Sending Signals in Bacteria?
Alien space probes? Are there alien civilizations? The search for extraterrestrial intelligence has mainly focused on searching for radio signals.
However, John Michael Godlier spoke with Dr. Robert Zubrin about a new theory he proposes which posits that alien space probes would be seeding life throughout the universe using bacteria. Are alien civilizations sending signs?
If so, Dr. Zubrin proposes that we search for these microbes, a form of deep space communication, within our own solar system on Mars, Venus, and Titan. He also asks if bacteria was sent to Earth from another intelligent alien civilization as a form of panspermia.

Have Japanese ornithologists cracked the mystery of the Nazca lines?
The Nazca Lines are among the most mysterious archaeological sites in all of Latin America. However, a team of Japanese experts has published a study in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports where they claim that they have now correctly identified some of the glyphs for the first time and that many represent non-native birds. This has provided them with a theory as to what was the purpose behind the massive designs in the desert and helped solve some of the ongoing mystery of why they were created.
Mysterious figures stretching out in the desert
The Nazca Lines are a large number of geoglyphs that been etched into the arid deserts or Pampas of Southern Peru. Some of the glyphs extend for a great distance and they can only be seen from the air. Over 2000 have been identified and they depict many animals, plants, strange figures , and also many birds. These account for the largest number of geoglyphs and indicates that ‘birds were important for Nazca people", reports Newsweek.
Little is really known about the Nazca civilization that created these unique monuments in the desert. LiveScience reports that the Lines were ‘created with piled stones or carved into the dry desert ground’. It is widely believed that they were created between the period 300 BC and 1000 AD. According to the Times, the people who made the lines ‘continued to add hundreds of miles of shallow trenches’, down the centuries, making evermore unique geoglyphs.
But there remains a great mystery as to why these monuments were made, in a desolate region, when most can only be seen from a great height.
Image traditionally thought to represent a condor.
An ornithological approach to the mystery
An interdisciplinary team including ornithological specialists from the Hokkaido University Museum in Japan began to investigate, specifically 16 of the geoglyphs representing birds. They were working on the remains of birds from a neighboring archaeological site when they became interested in the Lines. According to LiveScience, the ‘team studied the anatomical characteristics of each of the 16 bird etchings, categorizing features such as the shape of the beak and tail and the relative length of the tail and feet’
This led them to an amazing series of discoveries, they found that many of the geoglyphs had been misidentified, ever since the site was found in 1926.
Traditionally categorized as a humming bird, the ornithologists have identified this as a Hermit.
Non-native birds
They established that one famous monument that was frequently referred to as a humming bird was, in reality, representing a species known as the hermit. They also found that some of the birds were actually pelicans and one was a guano bird. The researchers also believe that they have identified some glyphs depicted a heron and “what is most likely an immature parrot” according to the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports . But they are not absolutely certain about these designations.
Left; A possible immature parrot; Right; A pelican
These birds are not native to the Pampas of Southern Peru. One of the co-authors of the study, Masaki Eda, is quoted by Inverse, as stating that ‘our findings show that they drew exotic birds, not local birds’.
The hermit bird is a bird found in the rainforest and the pelican is from the coast, all far from the deserts where the monuments are found. This could help us to understand why they were created. LiveScience quotes Eda, as saying "I believe that the motifs of the animal geoglyphs are closely related to the purpose [of] why they were etched".

The symbolism of the birds
It is believed that the Lines had a religious and ceremonial purpose . They were made as ritual procession routes or labyrinths that were walked by priests and others as part of some religious rite. The lines also symbolically represented figures and symbols that were important for the makers of the geoglyphs.
The Hermit Bird and the Pelican may have been symbols of water or were associated with the rain. It is possible that ‘the images have been drawn in honor of water and the creatures that were thought to bring the rains’ reports The Times . So the theory is presented that the birds were represented as a way of influencing the coming of rain to the desert.
However, this new reasoning does go against the thinking of some, who argue that the glyphs represent astronomical symbols and signs . According to Inverse it is ‘hypothesized that they may have had ritual astronomical functions. Therefore, the hermit bird may have possibly represented a star or a constellation for example.
New light on the Nazca Lines
What can be established from the Japanese team investigations is that the mysterious people who made the Nazca Lines were familiar with areas beyond their own territories. They had seen the Hermit bird in the jungle and the Pelicans on the coast. This may indicate that they had widespread trading contacts or that they even conducted military expeditions to these regions, which were the natural habitats of the non-native birds.
The research is helping researchers to understand the possible reason for the creation of the Lines. It is also allowing us to understand something of the worldview of the enigmatic Nazca. The Japanese team is studying bird representations at this culture temples and on their pottery. This could establish what the birds symbolized and could provide more insights into why the geoglyphs were made.

Mystery of Peru’s Nazca Lines may finally be solved as experts reveal the ancient carvings depict exotic birds ‘used for rain dances’
Charlotte Edwards, Digital Technology and Science Reporter
THE MYSTERY of the Nazca Lines may have been solved by experts who think lots of the drawings actually depict exotic birds to please the gods during 'rain dances'.
The huge carvings in the Andean desert were carved by an ancient Peruvian civilisation 2,000 years ago and have baffled scientists for decades as they try to work out why they were created.
Peru’s famous Nazca Lines are ancient symbols that were carved into vast planes of land and are only visible in all their glory from the air.
Some anthropologists think the Nazca lines were designed to please the gods, which the ancient people thought were looking down from the Sky.
Now, a team of researchers that has been analysing the giant drawings has noticed that the birds depicted do not come from the area but from far off rainforests or coastal areas.
They have proposed that this is because the carvings were made in honour of creatures who were thought to bring rain, as the society would have been highly dependent on rainfall to survive.

Researchers from Hokkaido University in Japan have released a paper in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports explaining how lots of the Nazca Line drawings were incorrectly classified and that some them actually represent exotic birds.
They claim that two of the desert carvings depict pelicans, often associated with the coast, and others represent rainforest birds like parrots and hummingbirds, such as the Long-tailed Hermit hummingbird depicted above.
The researchers wrote: "The amount of rainfall in the highlands was estimated by observing the migrations of seabirds.
“When seabirds migrate to mountainous regions of the Nazca pampas during November and December, it is expected that rain will fall in the highlands. On the other hand, if migrating seabirds are not observed, water shortages are feared.”
They concluded that the ancient Peruvian people thought the birds carried the weather with them and brought seawater to the hills and rain from the rainforests.
The carvings could therefore be signs of honouring the birds, worshipping them or hoping for them to come back.
They could have been used for ceremonial purposes like the rain dance rituals that are connected to other dessert tribes.

What are the Nazca lines?
They were discovered in 1930 by some people crossing over the Nazca desert by plane
Geologists think that they were designed by Nazca people in the ancient era between 400 and 600 AD
Here's some facts about the giant ancient artworks...
The Nazca lines are famous giant patterns that have been etched into vast areas of dry land in Peru and can only be viewed properly from the air
Anthropologists think they were made to please the gods, which the Nazca people thought were looking down from the sky
The Nazca lines make up more than 70 different designs including geometric shapes and animals like monkeys or sharks
The famous Nazca Lines in the Nazca desert of southern Peru have a number of mysteries … not the least of which is the mystery of who made them. And why. And what exactly are the drawings supposed to represent? That last mystery may have been partially answered in a new study by a group of ornithologists who focused on the sixteen giant geoglyphs that look like birds. They believe they’ve identified the species and where they come from and, most importantly, why they became the subjects of these mysterious glyphs.
Concentrating on just the Nazca birds makes sense because they account for the largest number of the geoglyphs that depict plants and animals. Researchers from the Hokkaido University Museum, the Yamashina Institute for Ornithology and Yamagata University agree, especially since no one has really identified them beyond general descriptions. In a press release announcing the publication of their study in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports, Masaki Eda of The Hokkaido University Museum described their process of analysis:
“Until now, the birds in these drawings have been identified based on general impressions or a few morphological traits present in each figure. We closely noted the shapes and relative sizes of the birds’ beaks, heads, necks, bodies, wings, tails and feet and compared them with those of modern birds in Peru.”
As a result, the team determined that a shape previously thought to be a hummingbird is actually a depiction of a hermit – a dull-colored hummingbird cousin in the same family (Trochilidae). Two other birds – one a mystery and the other thought to be a guano bird (seabirds that create massive amounts of … you can figure it out) – are actually pelicans. Another strange bird that has defied identification was determined to be a baby parrot. The team could neither confirm nor deny other bird drawing thought to depict condors and flamingos so they stuck with those identities. Eda points out that the fact that these drawings come close to what the real birds look like is amazing considering their size and the lack of technology the artists had.
“The Nasca people who drew the images could have seen pelicans while food-gathering on the coast. Our findings show that they drew exotic birds, not local birds, and this could be a clue as to why they drew them in the first place.”
Identifying the birds led to the real “Aha!” discovery – these were not local desert birds. Pelicans are coastal birds, guano birds live on islands, and hermits and parrots live in the rain forest. The Nazca people may have seen them on food-gathering excursions. This implies that they were special to the Nazca culture in some way. But how?
“The amount of rainfall in the highlands was estimated by observing the migrations of seabirds. When seabirds migrate to mountainous regions of the Nazca pampas during November and December, it is expected that rain will fall in the highlands. On the other hand, if migrating seabirds are not observed, water shortages are feared.”
Some things never change. These ancient Peruvians were constantly concerned about the weather and especially rain and believed the birds brought water from the ocean and the rainforests. The drawings may have been drawn to honor or worship the birds, thank them for their gifts and perhaps even be a big welcoming sign letting them know where to stop the next time.
Eda and the ornithologists plan to analyze bird drawings on pottery and bird remains from Nazca ruins to further identify the bird drawings.
What about the other strange creatures in the Nazca lines like the monkey, the whale, the spider and the dog? What species are they and why were they drawn? More studies of this type are obviously needed. Can they be protected from destruction until that happens?
One thing you can say about the Nazca lines – they’re great job creators.
If there’s one thing, more than any other, that annoys me in the field of paranormal research, it’s an armchair researcher of the debunking kind. Time and time again I have heard the debunkers loudly assert (often in high-pitched, whiny voices, and with their arms firmly folded) that the chupacabra simply cannot, and does not, exist. How do they know? Well, actually, they don’t know. Have they personally visited Puerto Rico? For the most part, no, they have not. Have they sat down opposite a witness and actually spoken to them? Nope: Hardly more than the barest occasion. What they have done is to secure their data from that bastion of truth and reliability known as the Internet. Not a good sign, to say the least. As to why the debunkers piss me off so much, it’s not just as a result of their lazy approach and attitude. It’s because by not actually visiting the places in question, and speaking with the people on the ground, they are missing out on a wealth of untapped data that simply cannot be found by just opening Google and typing in the words “Puerto Rico + chupacabra.”
A perfect case in point: if the chupacabra is a real creature, ask the naysayers, then why did it suddenly surface out of nowhere in 1995? Well, actually, it didn’t. Yes, it did, they reply; the Internet says so. Well, yes, the Internet does say that. But try speaking to the locals. When you gain their confidence and trust you quickly find yourself immersed in a very different story. This was something that became abundantly clear to me just one day into my first expedition to Puerto Rico, in the summer of 2004. As well as a cameraman and director, our team was comprised of a sound guy and a couple of drivers, all of who were native to the island. On day two, we stopped for lunch at a road-side café and I got chatting with the guys. As I did so, something remarkable surfaced. All of them laughed and scoffed at the idea that the chupacabra was a modern day phenomenon. They pointed out that, yes, those emotive words – chupacabra and goat-sucker – were relatively new. No-one disputed that. They added, however, that blood-sucking monstrosities of vampire-like proportions had been reported across the island not just for years but for decades; at least since the 1970s. I could suggest that the saga of Frank Drake, and the vampire of Puerto Rico’s Arecibo Telescope, pushes the boundaries back to at least the 1960s.
Moca Plaza
What separated the earlier reports from those of the 1990s and the 2000s, I was told, was that they had largely been forgotten or overlooked. Plus, it was explained to me, the lack of the Internet in the 1970s meant that, just like Las Vegas, whatever happened on Puerto Rico largely stayed there. A perfect case in point, they said, was a beast that became known as the Moca Vampire. Noted for its fruit industry and cattle-farming, Moca is a cool place, filled with old and atmospheric buildings and surrounded by amazing forestland and green hills. The municipality was, back in the mid-1970s, home to something else, too: the Moca Vampire. It was a most apt title for a creature that caused brief havoc and mayhem in March 1975. Pigs, goats, chickens, geese, cattle, and even pets were found violently slaughtered, and specifically in the Barrio Rocha suburb of Moca. I know this, as not just the guys on the crew, but numerous locals in Moca itself too, were happy to reveal all during the course of my first excursion to the island.
Location of Moca
The bodies of the dead animals were quickly collected by the authorities and were subjected to necropsy, which was said to have demonstrated that at least some of them had been drained of notable amounts of blood. The people of the area, hardly surprisingly, were plunged into states of fear and anxiety. Children were kept indoors at night. Armed police patrolled the streets after sunset. Matters came to a horrific climax when the monster turned its attention away from animals and towards the human population. One of the most traumatic attacks occurred on March 25, when a woman was viciously clawed by what she described as a fearful-looking beast covered in feathers. Then another story surfaced. Utterly petrified by what occurred, the witness reported that late one night in March, a huge, winged monster landed on the zinc roof of her Moca home and let loose with an ear-splitting scream. She feared for her very life, as the mighty thing clanged around loudly in the darkness, only mere feet above her living room.
Just a couple of days later, a rancher in the area found more than thirty of his chickens dead, all slaughtered by a silent, stealthy killer. Overall, and across a two week period in March 1975, around ninety animals were killed and an untold number of Moca residents were living in downright terror. The monstrous affair was never resolved. Fortunately, however, the attacks stopped as mysteriously, and as quickly, as they had begun. It should be noted that, as I was told by the guys on the TV shoot, a theory did the rounds at the time that occultists, rather than a deadly monster, were the cause of the attacks; occultists whose activities revolved around sacrificial blood rites, for which the tale of the Moca Vampire offered convenient and ingenious cover. This was not the only time a story reached my ears to the effect that the assumed attacks of the blood-suckers of Puerto Rico were actually the creation of those that engaged in rite, ritual and sacrifice.
I was looking at the NASA Apollo archives and found this odd looking UFO in the distance. The UFO is hovering over the horizon but at a tilted angle, much like Bob Lazar said about the UFO he worked on in Area S4 needing to tilt to move. The astronauts must have seen it, its not like there is a lot to see on the moon but dust and rocks, but a UFO of this size hovering...must have really blown their minds. Scott C. Waring
Were two mysterious white objects that were spotted in the sky over Kansas City, Missouri last night evidence of otherworldly intelligence?
Nope — instead they turned out to be evidence of a strange research project the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA), Gizmodo reports, which is working on balloons that can intelligently use wind currents to steer as they stay aloft almost indefinitely.
Balloon Project
The Adaptable Lighter Than Air balloon project is working to extend the range of wind-borne navigation systems. The balloons fly at more than 75,000 feet and can take advantage of wind movement, using a sensor that provides “real time time stratospheric wind measurements.”
Local Kansas City news reported of unusual floating objects on Thursday night, and the government expressed confusion as well.
“We honestly have no explanation for the floating objects over Kansas City,” tweeted The National Weather Service in Kansas City.
Boring Balloons
While DARPA hasn’t independently confirmed that it was their balloons, a source with knowledge of the program confirmed to Gizmodo they belonged to the agency.
And before you ask, the balloons weren’t part of Google’s Project Loon either.
“While Loon does routinely fly balloons over the [U.S.] from our launch site in Nevada, we do not currently have balloons in the area where the sightings have been reported,” Project Loon’s Scott Coriell told Gizmodo by email.
The news comes after the U.S. government is officially starting to take reports of “unidentified aerial phenomenon” more and more seriously. Just yesterday, three U.S. senators received a classified briefing on UFO sightings according to Politico.
In extraordinarily salty puddles of water resembling ones you might find on Mars, bacteria can survive getting completely dried out, suggesting that the Red Planet may be more habitable than previously thought, according to a new study.
Since there is life virtually wherever there is water on Earth, research into whether Mars was once capable of hosting life — and whether it still might host it — typically focuses on the past or current presence of liquid water on or below its surface. However, the cold, thin atmosphere that Mars has nowadays means liquid water likely cannot exist on its surface for any length of time.
Still, just before dawn, evaporating frost on the Martian surface can drive humidity up to 100 percent, said the study's senior author Mark Schneegurt, an astrobiologist at Wichita State University in Kansas. At its peak, the humidity on Mars can resemble the drier parts of the Atacama Desert in Chile, the driest place on Earth aside from its poles, which nevertheless is home to life.
In addition, a variety of salts often found on the surface of Mars could absorb this moisture. Because the briny fluids that result have a lower freezing point than water, they could withstand the frigid temperatures that prevail on the Red Planet's surface — and potentially harbor life.
However, the humidity on the Martian surface plummets during the daytime as temperatures rise. As such, any microbes on Mars would likely have to deal with constantly getting dried out.
To see if life on Mars could survive these cycles of desiccation, scientists experimented with two species of bacteria taken from two highly salty areas — Hot Lake in Washington and the Great Salt Plains in Oklahoma. They grew them in the lab in a solution that was half water and half magnesium sulfate, commonly known as Epsom salt, a kind of salt common on the Martian surface.
The researchers next dried small drops of this bacterial-laden solution using water-absorbing chemicals under a vacuum, to mimic how brines on the Martian surface might evaporate. Finally, they locked the dried drops in a jar with either regular water or saltwater and let the jar fill with humidity.
Within a day, the scientists found the dried drops absorbed enough moisture from the air to make a liquid brine, at which point the bacteria revived and began to grow. Typically more than half the cells survived.
"We have the first data showing the growth of bacteria after drying and then rehydration through humidity alone, in the presence of salts that absorb moisture from the air," Schneegurt told Space.com.
These findings may expand what scientists consider habitable when it comes to dry or cold worlds, Schneegurt said. It also could mean there is a greater risk than previously thought that Earth microbes can contaminate other worlds.
In the future, the researchers may examine how well these bacteria perform at the colder temperatures typical of Mars, as well as with other kinds of salts found on the Martian surface, Schneegurt said.
The scientists detailed their findings on June 21 at the annual meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in San Francisco.
Some sort of a heat wave warms the rings of Uranus, even though the planet orbits far away from the sun.
New heat images of the planet, obtained by two telescopes in Chile, reveal the temperature of the rings for the first time: minus 320 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 195 degrees Celsius), or the boiling temperature of liquid nitrogen.
While that sounds cold by Earthly standards, consider that most of space is much colder, approaching a temperature at which atoms stop moving. This point is called absolute zero, which is roughly minus 460 F (minus 273 C).
And Uranus itself is located pretty far out in the solar system, where the planet receives only a fraction of the heat from the sun that the Earth receives. The ice giant orbits our star at an average distance of 19 astronomical units (AU), with each AU equivalent to the average distance from the Earth to the sun, or 93 million miles (150 million kilometers).
The scientists who captured the new images said they aren't sure what's causing the relative warmth. But the weird temperature proves that the brightest and densest ring at Uranus (also known as the epsilon ring) is very different from other ring systems in our solar system.
Every giant planet in our solar system — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune — has its own set of rings, but Saturn's are the most spectacular and best-understood. That's because they are easily visible even with just a small telescope and because NASA's Cassini mission studied them up close. But Saturn's rings are quite different from those at Uranus.
"Saturn's mainly icy rings are broad [and] bright and have a range of particle sizes, from micron-sized dust in the innermost D ring, to tens of meters [or feet] in size in the main rings," study co-author Imke de Pater, an astronomer at the University of California, Berkeley, said in a statement. "The small end is missing in the main rings of Uranus. The brightest ring, epsilon, is composed of golf ball-sized and larger rocks."
The epsilon ring also differs from rings observed at the other giant planets. Jupiter's rings are made of particles that are roughly a thousandth of a millimeter in diameter each, while Neptune's rings are made up almost entirely of dust. The epsilon ring doesn't even look like the main rings of Uranus, as huge tracts of dust lie in between them.
"We already know that the epsilon ring is a bit weird, because we don't see the smaller stuff," lead author and graduate student Edward Molter, who is also at the University of California, Berkeley, said in the same statement. "Something has been sweeping the smaller stuff out, or it's all glomming together. We just don't know. This is a step toward understanding [the rings'] composition and whether all of the rings came from the same source material or are different for each ring."
Another mystery is how Uranus and the other planets acquired their rings in the first place. Perhaps one or more moons got too close to the planet and broke apart, as is the probable fate of Mars' moon Phobos. Perhaps moons crashed into each other and broke into pieces, which could someday happen again at Jupiter, where the orbit of a newly found moon crosses the path of several other moons. Or perhaps the rings formed from captured asteroids that crumbled once they came under the influence of a planet's gravity. The rings could also have come from debris left over from the birth of the solar system, 4.5 billion years ago.
The scientists used Chile's Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and Very Large Telescope to gather the data used in the new research. But the researchers said they hope still-better information about the oddball Uranian ring will come from NASA's forthcoming James Webb Space Telescope, which could gather data about the elemental composition of the epsilon ring.
In front of the larger rock formations, a tiny elongated white blob appears to be streaking past.
Nasa has previously admitted to similar anomalies in pictures taken by the probe. This image was taken on 16 June, and while conspiracy theorists have said the photograph is evidence of extra-terrestrials on the Red Planet, it appears more likely to have been a cosmic ray, some kind of camera lens flare or sunlight reflecting on rocks.
The Curiosity rover landed on the surface of Mars in 2012, and is armed with 17 cameras. Since then it has roamed all over the planet, beaming back huge amounts of data along with vast quantities of photographs. Many other pictures it has captured have featured anomalous lights too.
The rover has two mounted “navcams” on its mast, which act as a stereo pair of cameras – a bit like eyes. The black and white images capture panoramic 3D imagery and each has a 45 degree field of view, giving ground control crews a detailed view of the planet’s terrain.
The image in question was taken by the right navcam. Unfortunately, the left camera wasn’t looking in the same direction, and photos from the same set and time show it having swivelled down to take some kind of space selfie, showing parts of the craft over rocks and dust on the ground.
The appearance and disappearance of the unidentified white blob appears to have been rapid, as photos taken immediately before and after don’t show the same unidentified phenomenon.
When another bright spot captured in pictures taken by the rover made headlines in 2014, people claimed it was “light from an alien hut”.
But Justin Maki, the leader of the team that built and operates Curiosity’s navcams rapidly put those theories to bed.
He said: “In the thousands of images we’ve received from Curiosity, we see ones with bright spots nearly every week.
“These can be caused by cosmic-ray hits or sunlight glinting from rock surfaces, as the most likely explanations.”
Cosmic rays are formed by highly charged atomic particles, often from outside our own solar system, which travel through space at almost the speed of light and can produce visual effects upon impact. They are more common on Mars than on Earth due to the thin atmosphere which doesn’t provide as effective a barrier to cosmic radiation.

Want to Find Aliens? The Largest Dataset in the History of SETI has Been Released to the Public
In 2016, Russian billionaire Yuri Milner launched Breakthrough Initiatives, a massive non-profit organization dedicated to the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence (SETI). A key part of their efforts to find evidence of intelligent life is Breakthrough Listen, a $100 million program that is currently conducting a survey of one million of the nearest stars and the 100 nearest galaxies.
In keeping with their commitment to making the results of their surveys available to the public, the Listen team recently submitted two papers to leading astrophysical journals. These papers describe the analysis of Listen’s first three years of radio observations which resulted in a petabyte of radio and optical data, the single largest release of SETI data in the history of the field.
This analysis builds on the result presented by in the team in 2017, which reported on the analysis of 692 stars observed with the Green Bank Telescope. With these new results, Breakthrough Listen has completed the most comprehensive and sensitive survey in the history of SETI and highlighted the advancements they’ve made in the past three years.
These include how the Breakthrough Listen science team – from UC Berkeley’s SETI Research Center – developed specialized techniques to search for evidence of technological activity (aka. “technosignatures”). These include searches for powerful radio signals occupying a narrow range of frequencies and scans for laser flashes that could indicate optical communication or directed-energy propulsion.
They also designed new machine-learning algorithms that are being used to study unexplained astrophysical phenomena, which could be an indication of an as-yet-unknown technology. Last, but not least, are the techniques used by the Listen team to scan through billions of radio channels and filter out signals that are too narrow and well-defined to be the result of natural processes.
The vast majority of these come from local (human) sources, but the team applies two techniques to filter out these interfering signals from anything that could be an indication of an ETI. The first selected only narrow-band signals that are drifting in frequency while preserving signals that experience a change in frequency over time due to their motion relative to the telescope (aka. “Doppler drift”).
The second filter removes signals that do not appear to originate from a fixed point in the sky, which effectively removes signals that are not coming from the direction of the target star. These two techniques reduce the number of signals from tens of millions to just a handful, effectively simplifying the hunt for needles by reducing the size of the “haystack”.
The few remaining signals are then carefully examined to see if they are not, in fact, human-generated radio interference. While this latest analysis did not produce any verifiable technosignatures, this latest analysis places the most stringent constraints to date on the possible existence of an ETI that uses radio frequency communications in the local area of our galaxy.
As Dr. Danny Price – a research fellow from UC Berkley and the Swinburne University of Technology and the lead author on the analysis paper – said in a recent Breakthrough press release:
“This data release is a tremendous milestone for the Breakthrough Listen team. We scoured thousands of hours of observations of nearby stars, across billions of frequency channels. We found no evidence of artificial signals from beyond Earth, but this doesn’t mean there isn’t intelligent life out there: we may just not have looked in the right place yet, or peered deep enough to detect faint signals.”
At present, the Listen team is busy performing detailed observations of a sample of 1702 stars within about 160 light-years from Earth using the Green Bank and Parkes radio telescopes – as well as observations of a large swath of the Milky Way galaxy’s disk using Parkes. In the near future, the Lick Observatory’s Automated Planet Finder (APF) and South Africa’s MeerKAT radio telescope will begin observing a one-million-star sample.
These added facilities, as well as the experience gained during the last three years of the program, will also allow the Listen team to extend their efforts to higher radio frequencies, more signal types and thousands of times more stars. Meanwhile, Breakthrough Listen continues to seek partnerships with other facilities across the globe to expand the search for intelligent life.
Other information contained within the Listen archive also includes the massive amounts of optical data obtained by the APF and the team’s observations of the first repeating Fast Radio Burst (FRB) ever detected (FRB 121102). It also contains the results of Listen’s scans of the interstellar asteroid ‘Oumuamua, where the team looked for evidence of radio signals to see if the asteroid might actually be an interstellar spacecraft.
The public is invited to peruse this data in order to help find evidence of possible technosignatures. As Matt Lebofsky, BSRC’s Lead System Administrator and the head author on the second paper, explained:
“While we have been making smaller subsets of data public before in varying forms and contexts, we are excited and proud to offer this first cohesive collection along with an instruction manual, so everybody can dig in and help us search. And we’re just getting started – there’s much more to come!”
The way in which public input is being sought for the sake of SETI research is a hallmark of the current age of space exploration. More and more, public and private institutions are collaborating for the sake of mutual benefit. And thanks to improved means of information-sharing, citizen scientists and enthusiasts are also able to contribute and advance the boundaries of science.
With the way international partnerships are becoming more common and more lucrative, the possibility of their being a breakthrough (no pun!) in the next few decades is becoming more and more real.

BIJZONDERE UFO WAARNEMING BOVEN ZEELAND, NEDERLAND
BIJZONDERE UFO WAARNEMING BOVEN ZEELAND, NEDERLAND
