Een voormalige hooggeplaatste militair heeft in de podcast van Joe Rogan een boekje open gedaan over een enorm onderwaterobject waar hij mee werd geconfronteerd.
De voormalige marinepiloot David Fravor onthulde recentelijk tegenover de New York Times dat hij in 2004 tijdens een oefening voor de kust van San Diego een object ter grootte van een Boeing 737 had gespot onder het wateroppervlak.
Vlak boven het water en boven het onderwaterobject hing een 12 meter lang object in de vorm van een Tic Tac.
Ongelooflijke snelheid
Fravor probeerde het object te onderscheppen, maar het vloog weg met een ongelooflijke snelheid.
Hij speculeerde dat de objecten op de één of andere manier het zwaartekrachtveld kunnen manipuleren en door een soort leegte vliegen.
“Op die manier kun je de oceaan in vliegen, weer de lucht in vliegen en de ruimte in gaan,” zei hij.
Vreemde dingen
“Je verwijdert als het ware de barrières waar we met normale aandrijfsystemen mee te maken hebben,” vervolgde hij.
Hij zei dat veel van zijn collega’s ook vreemde dingen zien in de oceaan.
Eén van hen, een helikopterpiloot, zag op 15 meter boven het wateroppervlak een donkere massa omhoog komen uit de diepte.
Geen onderzeeër
Toen hij het object zagen verschijnen, verdween het weer snel richting de bodem.
“Hij zei dat het geen onderzeeër was,” aldus Fravor. “Hij weet hoe onderzeeërs eruitzien.”
Er werden op dat moment proeven gedaan met torpedo’s. Het leek erop alsof ze door het object omlaag werden gezogen.
THE SUPERMASSIVE black hole at the centre of the Milky Way exploded 3.5million years ago, according to astronomers.
This is considered to be 'astonishingly recent' in galactic terms and is changing what scientists thought they knew about our galaxy.
Professor Lisa Kewley, who worked on the study, said: "This is a dramatic event that happened a few million years ago in the Milky Way's history.
"A massive blast of energy and radiation came right out of the galactic centre and into the surrounding material.
"This shows that the centre of the Milky Way is a much more dynamic place than we had previously thought. It is lucky we're not residing there!"
The cataclysmic blast ripped through our galaxy and was likely felt 200,00 light years away in the Magellanic Stream.

It is considered to be a recent event because when it happened the dinosaurs had already been wiped out for 63million years and human ancestors were already walking on Earth.
This black hole blast phenomenon is known as a Seyfert flare.
The astronomers think it would have created two enormous 'ionisation cones' that would have sliced through the Milky Way.
They think it was caused by nuclear activity in the gigantic black hole, known as Sagittarius A.
It is estimated to have lasted for around 300,000 years, which is extremely short in galactic terms.
Co-author Magda Guglielmo from the University of Sydney said: "These results dramatically change our understanding of the Milky Way.
"We always thought about our Galaxy as an inactive galaxy, with a not so bright centre.
"These new results instead open the possibility of a complete reinterpretation of its evolution and nature.
"The flare event that occurred three million years ago was so powerful that it had consequences on the surrounding of our Galaxy.
"We are the witness to the awakening of the sleeping beauty."
The research was led by by Professor Joss Bland-Hawthorn from Australia's ARC Centre of Excellence for All Sky Astrophysics in 3 Dimensions (ASTRO 3D).
During the study, data was gathered by the Hubble Space Telescope and used to calculate when and how the explosion took place.
It will soon be published in The Astrophysical Journal.

The remaining central ball is extremely dense, and if it's especially dense, you get a black hole
Researchers have found evidence of a cataclysmic flare that punched outward in both directions from our galaxy’s center, reaching so far into intergalactic space that its impact was felt 200,000 light-years away.

Remember the vast and mysterious Fermi bubbles, apparent remnants of a titanic explosion close to the supermassive black hole in the center of our Milky Way galaxy? They were widely discussed around the year 2010, noticeable in X-ray and gamma ray data from the ROSAT and Fermisatellites. Astronomers said today (October 6, 2019) that they’ve uncovered more evidence relating the Fermi bubbles – gathered using Hubble Space Telescope data – in the form of two enormous bursts of ionizing radiation that must have zipped through the poles of our galaxy and out into deep space. One burst must have been powerful enough to reach 200,000 light-years into space, so that its impact struck the Magellanic Stream, a long trail of gas extending from the nearby Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, dwarf galaxies orbiting our Milky Way.

All of this activity from our Milky Way’s center – the explosion and its aftermath – apparently occurred just 3.5 million years ago when, on Earth, the asteroid that triggered the extinction of the dinosaurs was already 63 million years in the past, and humanity’s ancient ancestors, the australopithecines, were roaming in Africa.
They estimate that the blast lasted for perhaps 300,000 years, a long time in human terms, but an exceedingly short time as measured on the scale of galaxies.

The astronomers who recently discovered the flare event – impacting the Magellanic Stream – said they noticed it because:
… some Stream clouds towards both galactic poles are highly ionized by a source capable of producing ionization energies up to at least 50 eV [electronvolts].
And these researchers associate this ionization with the blast that created the Fermi bubbles.
These new findings come from a team of scientists led by astronomer Joss Bland-Hawthorn from Australia’s ARC Centre of Excellence for All Sky Astrophysics in 3 Dimensions (ASTRO 3D). They are soon to be published in the peer-reviewedAstrophysical Journal.
About 10% of all galaxies are known to have flares of this kind, which are called Seyfert flares. Our galaxy isn’t generally considered a Seyfert galaxy, or a particularly active galaxy at all. But the Milky Way is known to have a 4-million-solar-mass black hole at its heart, called Sagittarius A*, or Sgr A* (pronounced Sagittarius A-star). Even earlier this year, Sgr A* was caught having an unusually large meal of gas and dust.
So astronomers are learning that the Milky Way, too, can sometimes have a burst of activity, although it’s minor in contrast to true active galaxies.
The explosion 3.5 million years ago was too huge to have been triggered by anything other than nuclear activity associated with Sgr A*, said the team who studied it. Bland-Hawthorn commented:
The flare must have been a bit like a lighthouse beam. Imagine darkness, and then someone switches on a lighthouse beacon for a brief period of time.
This is a dramatic event that happened a few million years ago in the Milky Way’s history. A massive blast of energy and radiation came right out of the galactic center and into the surrounding material. This shows that the center of the Milky Way is a much more dynamic place than we had previously thought. It is lucky we’re not residing there!

It was interesting that while I was researching my next video about Greta Thunberg potentially being a small grey alien I noticed this article from April 26th, 2019 in the UK DailyMail about a Korean instructor from Oxford University saying that aliens are interbreeding with humans all in the name of preserving life on Earth from the catalytic consequences of climate change. He originally presented this lecture in 2012. I refer his discussion on climate change to the recent speech made by another small grey alien named Greta who see’s Earth’s demise in the next ten plus years. I found this disk shaped craft in a SOHO/NASA photo today. Its dated Oct 6th, so its one of the newest out. This UFO is huge, moon size and has a raised upper and lower center hump on it, much like the classic disks seen in the 1950s. UFOs near the sun appear daily, yes I said that right. I would estimate that hundreds of UFOs if not more appear near our sun daily. The real question is why? Only two possible answers:
1: They are gathering some energy or rare energy substances.
2: They are using the center of the sun for their planets and a mini solar system. Much like a Dyson sphere.

Date of sighting: Oct 4, 2019 Location of sighting: Cienaga, Colombia This woman noticed a dark ring UFO moving slowly through the clouds above her. She grabbed this quick video which shows the object moving in and out of the clouds. This is not the first time a UFO ring report has come in. On September, 1957, Private Stone was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was assigned to the Post Engineers. It was about 9 AM while he was working inside buildings in the Post Engineer section, when someone yelled to him and others to come outside to see the odd thing coming over head towards their area. Stone and five or six others ran out and spotted an odd, black ring, moving slowly, high above the tree tops but below the broken cloud cover. The ring seems solid enough, not a smoke ring and Private Stone guessed the size of the ring to be about 60 feet in diameter, with the ring width about five or 6 feet. (This was a guess, possibly incorrect.) Private Stone remembered his Kodak Brownie camera which was in his car. He ran over to the car, which was parked nearby, grabbed the camera and took six pictures in fairly rapid sequence. After the second picture was taken, the strange ring started to develop a mist around itself. The mist thickened rapidly until it was more like a small cloud and within 30 to 60 seconds the Black ring was completely enveloped within a small compact cloud of its own. Scott C. Waring-Taiwan
Baffling footage of a circular object in the sky above New York City has been likened to the Death Star from Star Wars by stunned conspiracy theorists.
The video begins with the view of the famous skyline of the city in New York, US.
A bright light then comes into shot above the buildings, as cameraman Mauricio Lopez voices his thoughts.
"I've got something in the sky, a blinking red light," he says.
"I believe in UFOs and I think I've got one right now."
A strange object seen above New York City has been likened to the Death Star
When he zooms in, the object appears to have terrain on its surface – shown by the dark and light colours.
It also seems to have a black line striking through it, sparking the viewer to claim: "This is not a star, either."
The object appears to then change colour from white to red and at one point even seems to vanish from view before reappearing.
Mauricio posted the footage to YouTube on September 25 with the caption: "UFO over New York City".
It has since gone viral after being picked up by renowned UFO channel Mavi 77.
"It looks like the Death Star out of Star Wars," one viewer wrote.
The Death Star refers to the moon-sized space station built by the Empire in Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
In the popular franchise, it was able to destroy an entire planet with its laser beam.

Another user suggested it was "another planet", which a third agreed with.
"It is just an out of focus star, Venus perhaps," they added.
The footage comes after a series of snake-like UFOs were filmed across the US in recent months.

A fleet of lights recorded off North Carolina’s Outer Banks has started a debate about whether the lights are UFOs or part of a mysterious military exercise.

(Tribune News Service) — A fleet of lights recorded off North Carolina’s Outer Banks has ignited a debate about whether they are UFOs or just part of a mysterious military exercise.
William Guy posted a 31-second video Sept. 28 on YouTube, showing what appears to be 14 glowing orbs over the water. He refers to it as a “real UFO sighting.”
“Anybody tell me what that is?” Guy says in the video. “We’re in the middle of the ocean, on a ferry, nothing around. Look. Nothing around. No land, no nothing.”
Guy told the McClatchy news group he’s from Indiana and is among the workers sent to repair damage on Ocracoke Island caused by intense flooding during Hurricane Dorian.
The video was filmed aboard a ferry crossing the Pamlico Sound from Ocracoke Island to Swan Quarter on the mainland, he said. The lights appeared for at least a minute and a half, he posted on YouTube.
Pamlico Sound is not part of the Atlantic Ocean, but a large body of water that separates the Outer Banks from mainland North Carolina.
The incident happened Sept. 18, reports UFOS sighting LPKZ 2019, one of many UFO sites and tabloids covering Guy’s story.
“The footage has left the conspiracy world in shock,” the British tabloid Daily Star says.
“Prepare to be amazed,” LADbible wrote of the video.
Commenters on YouTube are divided as to whether the lights are UFOs or just flares used by the military. The latter is plausible, given the proximity of the Outer Banks to multiple military facilities, including Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg in Eastern North Carolina.
“I know what those lights are,” posted Derrick Chennault on YouTube. “As a former Marine based at the 2nd Marine Air Wing in Cherry Point, N.C. ... we used to regularly drop flares out of the back of our plane in the evenings for military exercises... Glad to see the Marines are still spooking people.”
Guy doesn’t appear to be completely convinced of that explanation.
“A lot of people I have talked to here on the island said it was flares, but they also said they have never seen anything like what I captured,” he wrote on YouTube.
North Carolina is considered one of the most active places in the country for UFO reports, including an incident in November when a fisherman filmed two sets of lights floating off Cape Lookout National Seashore.
National Park Service officials at Cape Lookout told the Charlotte Observer they were not sure what the lights were, but labeled them “peculiar.”

By this time you may already be familiar with Cmdr. David Fravor (US Navy, retired) as the fighter pilot who engaged what’s come to be known as the white Tic-Tac UFO back in 2004, leading to one of the remarkable videos released by the Pentagon over the past couple of years. He’s given a number of interviews to various mainstream news outlets recently, talking about his remarkable experience. But yesterday he showed up on the Joe Rogan show for a nearly two-hour discussion and it turned into a serious deep dive. I’ll embed the full video of the interview below, but first I wanted to cover a few of the highlights. (The entire show is worth your time, however, even if you’re already familiar with the story. Fravor goes into a lot of details we hadn’t heard before.)
Also on the show was filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, who recently released a movie about Bob Lazar. (Ugh.) He briefly derails the conversation a couple of times talking about Lazar and some Ancient Aliens type stuff, but also adds in several good details about the recent revelations.
Sometimes when people go on Rogan’s show it turns out to be something of a disaster. Just ask Elon Musk or Tom DeLonge. Joe has a way of dragging them down various rabbit holes or getting them to engage in antics that wind up being embarrassing. That didn’t happen with Fravor, who maintained an air of cool professionalism throughout. (Well, there’s one possible exception I’ll get to in a moment.) But here are some of the highlights.
One detail he revealed early in the interview while describing the Tic-Tac encounter was that his F/A-18F Super Hornet was not equipped with any live missiles. Dummy loads were installed because they were scheduled to go on a training mission. This would have presumably left him with nothing more than his 20 mm rotary cannon if things had gotten tense with the unidentified craft.
Another fascinating detail he included was that during multiple encounters with the Tic-Tacs on both coasts, pilots were able to determine that the objects were actively blocking their radar systems, making it impossible to get a lock on them. And we’re talking about one of the newest, best radar systems in the world. This is interesting because it at least implies an actively engaged, intelligent force controlling the Tic-Tacs. (Whether that’s local or remote, biological or AI-driven we don’t know.)
Fravor additionally revealed that government and military investigations into these incidents are far from over. He has personally been summoned to Washington multiple times this year for private, confidential meetings with “high ranking government officials.” (He wasn’t authorized to be any more specific than that.)
One potentially disturbing story Fravor tells at the 49-minute mark in the interview (in case you want to skip ahead) deals with his “sense of humor” and some antics he and the other pilots get up to on occasion. This story involves them basically making their planes appear like a UFO in the night sky when they see people camping in remote areas.
Fravor: We used to fly night vision goggles in Hornets a lot. And with night vision goggles you can see a campfire from like fifty miles away. We used to do it, the good spots were down in like El Centro California. There’s some bombing ranges and people go camping in the Superstition Mountains… so we would go out at night flying around on goggles. You’d see a campfire and go, “Oh. UFO time.”
And then you get the airplane going around 600 knots and then you pull the power back to idle so you can’t hear it. Then you get zinging toward the fire and you turn the lights all down because we’re in a restricted area so you can do that. There’s lights on it you can only see if you’re on vision goggles. So the other airplanes can see us, but no one else can see us. Then you go zinging at it and right when you get to the campfire you pull the airplane into vertical and stroke the afterburners, let ’em light off, you count to three and then you just go away. Instant UFO reporting.
Sadly, Fravor may have just wiped out half of the UFO reports made to MUFON by people camping in Southern California over the years. Still, I don’t doubt the story a bit. I knew plenty of pilots during my years serving on an aircraft carrier and they tended to have rather “sick” senses of humor, as Fravor describes it.
Anyway, those were some of the highlights that stuck out for me. Here’s the video. As I said, it’s rather long, but definitely worth the time if you have any interest in this subject at all.

Ze zien er dikwijls uit als dreigende onweersluchten, donkere wolken met heen en weer schietende bliksemflitsen.
Vaak ontbreekt het donderen van een echte onweersbui en schieten ufo’s in en uit de wolk.
Wat dit fenomeen precies is weet eigenlijk niemand. Wij noemen ze dimensieportalen omdat het lijkt alsof ufo’s dit soort vreemde wolkenformaties gebruiken als portalen van de ene naar de andere dimensie.
We schrijven al heel lang over dit soort verschijnselen, waarover later meer, maar eerst een waarneming van dit jaar die plaatsvond boven Thailand.
Een bizarre rood-achtige wolk vol met bliksemschichten waar eveneens een aantal ufo’s zichtbaar zijn zoals te zien op de volgende afbeeldingen.
De opname is gemaakt door de 53-jarige Engelse toerist Darren Blakeley die het gebeuren omschreef als iets uit de serie The Avengers.
Het voorval vond plaats in Laguna, Phuket, en voorbijgangers stonden met open mond te gapen naar het vreemde verschijnsel in de lucht.
Weer hetzelfde verschijnsel zoals we dat al vaker hebben omschreven: een verder helemaal heldere lucht met een vreemde wolk, vol met bliksemschichten en ufo’s die in- en uitvliegen.
Enkele jaren geleden bracht ook Secureteam een video met daarin opnames die veel lijken op een dergelijk dimensieportaal.
Volgens een artikel op Mysterious Universe heeft zich ook iets dergelijks voor gedaan nabij de Spaanse stad Alicante en heeft zelfs NASA belangstelling getoond voor die bepaalde opname. Ook daar een onweerswolk vol met bliksemschichten en een ufo die tevoorschijn komt.
Hierbij de originele video opname uit Alicante en wie zelf de ufo niet ziet die tevoorschijn komt, kan hier kijken.
Voor de volledigheid hierna nog een aantal vergelijkbare voorbeelden uit eerdere artikelen. Tot nu toe heeft niemand nog een andere verklaring kunnen geven, dus voorlopig blijven het wat ons betreft dimensieportalen.
De opname is gemaakt bij de Zárate-Brazo Largo brug die aan de rand van de Argentijnse stad Buenos Aires ligt.
Al jaren schrijven wij nu over vreemde wolken die niet thuis horen in een bepaald landschap. Onderstaand een dergelijke wolk. Wat ook iedere keer weer kenmerkend is, zijn de bliksemflitsen in de wolk. Alsof je een grote onweerswolk hebt, maar dat eigenlijk niet is.
In de korte video zie je diverse UFO’s ronddartelen waarvan er een aantal met enorme snelheid verdwijnen in de wolk.
Na ongeveer zes seconden zie je er zo één linksboven in beeld verschijnen zoals ook te zien is op de volgende afbeelding.
En wanneer zo’n UFO de wolk in vliegt, ontstaat er op diezelfde plek een bliksemschicht. Wanneer je goed kijkt, dan zie je dat diverse keren gebeuren in die korte video.
De volgende opname is uniek, omdat het ook een bevestiging is van wat verschillende getuigen hebben gezien en van eerder gemaakte en vergelijkbare beelden.
Hierna een voorbeeld van hetzelfde fenomeen door de ogen van een getuige en eveneens een bijzondere opname uit Mexico.
Als eerste een getuigenis van een dame die wij ontvingen in november 2014:
"Het is dinsdagavond 7 oktober en om 20.30 stap ik op de fiets vanuit Lytse Geast,(een dorpje een kleine tien kilometer ten zuid-oosten van Leeuwarden).
Mijn weg voert door de weilanden over een afgelegen pad en als het even kan zorg ik er voor dat ik niet in mijn eentje in het donker nog op pad ben. Vandaag ben ik al te laat en de laatste schemering gaat al over in duister.
Ik ben nog maar net buiten, of het begint te regenen en hard te waaien. Schuin voor me zie ik een paar flitsen, en het rommelt in de verte, precies tussen mij en Leeuwarden, waar ik naar op weg ben. Onweer dus, ook dat nog.
Voor me is een brede, langgerekte, vrij laag hangende wolk. Dat is waar ik de hemel op zie lichten. Er komen witte bollen uit de wolk. Twee gaan naar links en twee gaan naar rechts. De afstand van de ene bol tot de andere blijft steeds gelijk, alsof ze met een touwtje aan elkaar vast zitten. Ze bewegen langzaam.
Ik weet niet, wat het is, dat ik zie... zijn dit vliegtuigen? van de basis? En waarom zijn die geïnteresseerd in een onweerswolk? Ja, het zijn vast vliegtuigen. Het licht pulseert ook, zoals bij een vliegtuig. Flits aan, flits uit. Ja maar, bij een vliegtuig zie je dan altijd ook een rood licht aan en uit flitsen. dat is hier niet. Alleen wit. Melkwit.
De twee bollen rechts zijn verdwenen, die van links zijn opeens weer terug boven de wolk. Verbeeld ik me nu dat ze sneller pulseren dan zo net? Nee, dat verbeeld ik me niet. Het lijken wel sterren en het licht is niet meer zozeer wit, als wel koud. Zoals bij sterretjes voor kleine kinderen. Het zijn nu dus geen witte bollen meer, maar steeds sneller aan- en uit flitsende 'sterren'.
Dan zijn ze weg. Een paar minuten is er niks meer te zien en dan opeens zijn er wel twintig. Allemaal onder, boven, naast of uit de wolk. En allemaal flitsen ze aan en uit, nu in een heel hoog tempo. In een ijzig wit licht dat zo fel is dat het mij verblindt. Je zou zeggen dat ze er plezier aan beleven, zoals ze om en door de wolk heen duiken. Er in, er uit, om de wolk heen, achter elkaar aan... Net zo plotseling als ze verschenen zijn ze nu weer weg.
En komen niet meer terug. En ik ben bijna bij de eerste huizen van de stad. Het regent niet meer en de wind gaat ook liggen. Hoe lang dit al met al geduurd heeft? Twintig minuten à hooguit een half uur. Ik kan me niet voorstellen, dat er niet meer mensen geweest zijn die dit gezien hebben. Er was echt een hele lichtshow in de lucht.
Wat me achteraf ook nog wel frappeert, is dat er eigenlijk alleen die ene enorm grote wolk was, verder was er vrijwel geen bewolking.

One in a million recording of what is most likely a military TR3B antigravity craft flying silently over a neighborhood at treetop level in Clearwater florida! Cop sees a trianglar craft and shines his spotlight on it! It’s recorded on his cruiser video system. He records it on his cell phone before it’s deleted. You can see this craft is completely black and quite large and is moving very slowly over the neighborhood.
Here’s the police officer’s statement posted on a blog.
“i am a law enforcment officer for a police agency in florida. while i was dispatched to a call 10/4/19 at 117 am in regards to suspicious person, upon arrival i noticed a completely back triangular shape craft with no lights about 40 feet above the ground traveling about 35 mph in a southerly direction. the craft had no sound. as the craft came into the line of sight of my cruiser it passed behind some trees and i saw a clearing of trees ahead and it was going in that direction. i shined my spotlight and illuminated part of the craft as it passed between the trees. the craft continued on and i had arrived on the scene of a call so i could not follow. later after finishing the call i reviewed the dash cam video of the time i arrived and saw the object. the video cameras record constantly and are save temporarily to a cache. unless selected they are dumped and not saved to hard drive. after reviewing the video i could see the incident and part of the craft as it passed between the trees on film. i recorded the playback on my phone from the in-car camera of the cruiser. the upper left corner is a retangular blur which had my personal identification number and i removed it for anonimity.”
This TR-3B or whatever this thing was do not fly around in the daytime where people can see them. The chances of it being seen in the middle of the night are very small. This cop was very lucky to be at the right place at the right time to get this on video. No doubt about it, there is a black object flying over this neighborhood and it’s not an airplane or helicopter that’s for sure.
Two people in my own family saw something very similar back about 1984. This object flew directly over our house at dusk on the outskirts of Anchorage Alaska. Unfortunately I was away at college or would have seen it too! It was reported in the Anchorage newspaper the next day. My family members said it was black, triangular and as big as a 747 jet but flew over our house without a sound and at only about 40 miles per hour.

Around 6:14pm I was sitting on a bench at Lorimer Park with my camera and I looked up at the moon. I noticed something near the moon that looked like a plane reflecting light off of the sun. The sun wasn't set yet and the sky was clear. It seemed too early for any stars to be out. I kept my eye on it and it was getting further away from the moon even though it appeared stationary. The moon was rising but it was getting further away horizontally. I kept my eye on it on and off while driving home and eventually it disappeared. The stars are out now and it's not there. I wanted to rule out it being a UFO but when I got home I checked MUFON and I saw that two other people in the area submitted reports on a very similar object earlier in the day.

Eyewitness states: I was on vacation with my family at Yosemite National Park in June of 2018, some pictures I take with my cell phone, and most of another pictures with my Nikon camera with wide lens. two weeks ago my wife ask me to print some pictures to frame, and I found I little dark spot on the right corner of the picture.
This eyewitness was taking some selfies at a national park in California and accidentally caught a silver metallic UFO disk in the back ground! He didn't see it till he got home and took close look at the photos, where he discovered the strange craft in the background. The disk is more visible in black and white, which makes it focus well. This is absolutely 100% proof that an alien base is hidden in the mountains of Yosemite National Park and the US government knows it and made it a wildlife reserve on purpose to keep people from knowing.

Put an ear to the ground on Mars and you'll be rewarded with a symphony of sounds. Granted, you'll need superhuman hearing, but NASA's InSight lander comes equipped with a very special "ear."
The spacecraft's exquisitely sensitive seismometer, called the Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS), can pick up vibrations as subtle as a breeze. The instrument was provided by the French space agency, Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES), and its partners.
SEIS was designed to listen for marsquakes. Scientists want to study how the seismic waves of these quakes move through the planet's interior, revealing the deep inner structure of Mars for the first time.
But after the seismometer was set down by InSight's robotic arm, Mars seemed shy. It didn't produce its first rumbling until this past April, and this first quake turned out to be an odd duck. It had a surprisingly high-frequency seismic signal compared to what the science team has heard since then. Out of more than 100 events detected to date, about 21 are strongly considered to be quakes. The remainder could be quakes as well, but the science team hasn't ruled out other causes.
Quakes
Put on headphones to listen to two of the more representative quakes SEIS has detected. These occurred on May 22, 2019 (the 173rd Martian day, or sol, of the mission) and July 25, 2019 (Sol 235). Far below the human range of hearing, these sonifications from SEIS had to be speeded up and slightly processed to be audible through headphones. Both were recorded by the "very broad band sensors" on SEIS, which are more sensitive at lower frequencies than its short period sensors.
The Sol 173 quake is about a magnitude 3.7; the Sol 235 quake is about a magnitude 3.3.
Each quake is a subtle rumble. The Sol 235 quake becomes particularly bass-heavy toward the end of the event. Both suggest that the Martian crust is like a mix of the Earth's crust and the Moon's. Cracks in Earth's crust seal over time as water fills them with new minerals. This enables sound waves to continue uninterrupted as they pass through old fractures. Drier crusts like the Moon's remain fractured after impacts, scattering sound waves for tens of minutes rather than allowing them to travel in a straight line. Mars, with its cratered surface, is slightly more Moon-like, with seismic waves ringing for a minute or so, whereas quakes on Earth can come and go in seconds.
Mechanical Sounds and Wind Gusts
SEIS has no trouble identifying quiet quakes, but its sensitive ear means scientists have lots of other noises to filter out. Over time, the team has learned to recognize the different sounds. And while some are trickier than others to spot, they all have made InSight's presence on Mars feel more real to those working with the spacecraft.
"It's been exciting, especially in the beginning, hearing the first vibrations from the lander," said Constantinos Charalambous, an InSight science team member at Imperial College London who works with the SP sensors. "You're imagining what's really happening on Mars as InSight sits on the open landscape."
Charalambous and Nobuaki Fuji of Institut de Physique du Globe de Parisprovided the audio samples for this story, including the one below, which is also best heard with headphones and captures the array of sounds they're hearing.
On March 6, 2019, a camera on InSight's robotic arm was scanning the surface in front of the lander. Each movement of the arm produces what to SEIS is a piercing noise.
Wind gusts can also create noise. The team is always on the hunt for quakes, but they've found the twilight hours are one of the best times to do so. During the day, sunlight warms the air and creates more wind interference than at night.
Evening is also when peculiar sounds that the InSight team has nicknamed "dinks and donks" become more prevalent. The team knows they're coming from delicate parts within the seismometer expanding and contracting against one another and thinks heat loss may be the factor, similar to how a car engine "ticks" after it's turned off and begins cooling.
You can hear a number of these dinks and donks in this next set of sounds, recorded just after sundown on July 16, 2019 (Sol 226). Listen carefully and you can also pick out an eerie whistling that the team thinks may be caused by interference in the seismometer's electronics.

A Gallery of Hidden Prehistoric Rock Art Points to Lost Indian Civilization
India is a land of many civilizations. Now it appears that another one has been uncovered in the west of the country. A team of explorers has discovered a number of petroglyph sites that belonged to an ancient society that was previously unknown. The discovery of the primitive art is allowing experts to study what seems to be a lost Indian civilization and to understand more about the subcontinent's very complex prehistoric past.
Primitive rock carvings in Western India
The petroglyphs or rock carvings are located in the hills of the Konkan region of Maharashtra, mainly in the districts of Ratnagiri and Rajapur. The rock art was created by removing or carving exposed stone. There are believed to be thousands of these rock carvings in the Konkan area, all presumably belonging to a lost Indian civilization. They are generally located near villages and some are familiar to locals and tourists but many more have now been discovered and not even local residents were aware of their existence.
The rock art was discovered by two explorers, Sudhir Risbood and Manoj Marathe who began a systematic survey of the area after finding some images. The duo has led teams on hikes across a vast area of the hilly region looking for rock art. The carvings were often buried beneath earth and mud, but others could still be seen. Those that were out in the open are considered holy by the local communities.
The team enlisted local students to help to identify carvings and to gather local tales on the images. The BBC reports that this provided the experts with "a lot of valuable information". Apart from identifying individual rock carvings the explorers are documenting and recording the petroglyphs. Risbood and Marathe have been tireless in their efforts to raise awareness of the carved figures. They are also actively lobbying the local government to support efforts to study and conserve the prehistoric works of art.
One of the most remarkable things about these images is that there are so many of them and that they are so diverse. There are carvings representing humans, animals, birds, and geometric shapes. It is hard to date the carvings, but it is estimated that some of the recent finds are the Neolithic period and possibly some of the oldest discovered.
The images allow experts to understand something of this forgotten Indian civilization. According to the Smithsonian, the director of the Maharashtra state archaeology department “suspects the original artists may have come from a hunter-gatherer society.” The lack of domesticated animals would show that they were not an agricultural society and therefore would be reliant on hunting and gathering. Some of the images are of sea creatures and indicate that the society was one that was also dependent on fishing. These carvings are reminiscent of others found on other continents.
Most of the older images are of animals that lived in this part of India in prehistoric times. While the images are of recognizable animals and humans, their meanings have not been deciphered. Another mystery is there are images of rhinos and hippos and these are not native to this part of India. Iflscience has reported that experts are baffled at “how exactly the artists were able to produce recognizable carvings of non-native species.” The rhino can be found elsewhere in India, the hippo is not native to the sub-continent.
To explain why representations of non-native animals were carved, several theories have been put forward. Some speculate that the people who made the images had recently migrated from Africa. Then there are those who argue that hippopotamuses once lived in the region. There are also suggestions that the rhinoceros was much more common in India in the prehistoric era than in historical times.

What do the carvings tell us?
Risbood and Marathe have been successful in their efforts to secure more state support for their investigations of the rock art. The state government of Maharashtra has pledged funds for the study of several hundred of the rock carvings. It is expected that this will allow for more knowledge to be obtained about the rock carvings and the society that produced them. However, it is believed that the meanings of the glyphs will remain mysterious. While the origin and the ultimate fate of this lost Indian civilization will be even harder to establish.
