One Type of Fast Radio Bursts… Solved?

Every now and then there is a burst of radio light in the sky. It lasts for just milliseconds before fading. It’s known as a Fast Radio Burst (FRB), and they are difficult to observe and study. We know they are powerful bursts of energy, but we aren’t entirely sure what causes them.

The more we’ve learned about FRBs, the stranger they appear. Most occur outside our galaxy, but there are a few that seem to originate within the Milky Way. Most seem to appear at random in the sky, but a few of them are repeating FRBs. Some of them even repeat with surprising regularity. Because of this, astronomers generally think they can’t be caused by a cataclysmic event, such as the last radio burst of a neutron star as it collapses into a black hole.

One likely candidate is a special kind of neutron star known as a magnetar. Neutron stars generally have strong magnetic fields, but magnetars take this to the extreme. Their magnetic fields can be a thousand times more powerful than that of a typical neutron star. Their fields are so powerful that they can heat the surface of a magnetar to more than 10 million Kelvin.

Magnetars are magnetically and thermally active, so they can have upwellings of hot material and magnetically charged flares. It’s similar to the surface activity of our Sun, but at a much more powerful level. When a magnetar has a flare, it can create a burst of intense x-rays and gamma rays. These stars are known to be the source of soft gamma ray repeaters, for example. Since a flare of ionized gas can create radio light when it interacts with a magnetic field, it’s thought that magnetars could also create fast radio bursts.

Recently, a team found evidence to support this idea. About 30,000 light years from Earth there is a magnetar known as SGR J1935+2154. In mid-April of 2020, it entered an active period, so the team decided to observe it with the Insight-HXMT satellite. They observed hundreds of x-ray bursts from the magnetar. Then on April 28, the CHIME radio telescope observed the fast radio burst FRB 200428, which had the same location and distance as the magnetar. The FRB occurred just 8.6 seconds after the team observed an x-ray burst. This time delay is consistent with the fact that the interstellar medium slightly slows radio signals.

From this study it is clear that magnetars are a source of fast radio bursts. We still aren’t clear if magnetars are the source of all FRBs, particularly those that don’t repeat. But since SGR J1935+2154 is relatively close and regularly goes through active periods, we should be able to observe many more FRBs from it over time. It should give us the data we need to understand these strange radio signals.

EXCLUSIVE: The Coming Space Race

Introduction

The domain of space has become an increasingly important playing field economically and militarily amid the wider great power game here on Earth.

While mostly out of sight, the satellites circling overhead provide us with precise positioning information for navigation, communication, weather data, intelligence, and imaging for maps so readily available online – we have begun to take this all for granted.

The impact of this technology in orbit on our ability to engage in commerce and maintain military preparedness has become so vital over the past several decades that nations have begun dedicating not only more resources into developing spaceborne capabilities, but also creating the ability to monitor threats in space and develop methods to defend against them.

This has led to several nations creating “space forces,” with the United States creating the US Space Force in 2019. Russia and China also have equivalent military forces dedicated solely to the domain of space – though how they will be used will most certainly differ from how the US will likely (and is already beginning to) use theirs.

What we see unfolding now is geopolitical cooperation and conflict here on Earth being extended into Earth orbit and beyond.

China has begun launching as many, if not more rockets per year than the United States. Its capabilities range from placing entire satellite constellations into orbit, to launching its own astronauts and even space station segments, as well as commercial missions for clients from around the globe.

Russia continues to develop its space launch capabilities and currently still has these most reliable manned space launch systems on Earth – the Soyuz. Their plans to develop reusable rockets to remain competitive with American aerospace company SpaceX means that Russia too remains a significant partner/competitor in the space domain.

And of course, private companies – from the US to China and everywhere in between – are creating capabilities and pursuing objectives beyond existing state-dominated space programs – with US-based SpaceX creating everything from reusable launch vehicles, to satellite internet, to a fleet of stainless steel starships designed to colonize Mars.

And just beyond reach of current technology are resources in space in the form of minerals and ore on the Moon and trapped in near-Earth objects like asteroids that could open the door to a multi-trillion dollar space economy that could sustain a population within our solar system many times larger than the 7.6 billion people on Earth today.

Through this now quickly shifting and rapidly developing space industry we can see the stage being set for a new, and much more wide-ranging “space race” for the 21st century.

While the first space race was bipolar – between the United States and the Soviet Union – today’s new space race includes old adversaries – the US and Russia – as well as China, India, and even Iran. There are also a growing number of private space companies from US-based firms like Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, to Japan’s iSpace, and Galactic Energy in China.

The Space Economy 

There is a very real space-based economy already.

It consists of constellations of satellites providing everything from communication to navigational services – services that are playing an increasingly important role in the global economy.

Industries like delivery services heavily depend on satellite navigation to connect drivers with their destinations, aiding them in navigating to customers and allowing customers to track their progress in real-time. Food delivery alone is an industry of over $100 billion worldwide.

There are also taxi services that increasingly rely on satellite navigation to find and deliver passengers.

The growing importance of satellite navigation for the economy is only set to grow as companies around the globe explore the possibility of drone delivery services and modes of land transportation that are increasingly autonomous.

Communication satellites have long served an important role in advancing and connecting modern information technology. Satellite phones and now satellite internet are services already available around the world. These services depend on satellites in higher orbits over the Earth meaning that latency is higher – and internet speeds slower.

Geostationary orbits, while higher and providing slower communication speeds, require fewer satellites to cover any particular area – with specific satellites assigned to and stationed permanently over a single region of the planet.

Communication satellites in low earth orbit cannot remain over a single region of the planet permanently. They are constantly moving, and thus to create worldwide coverage, shells of constantly moving satellites with protocols meant to relay signals not only from the ground to orbit, but between satellites in orbit are required – and in large numbers.

The lowering costs of both satellite manufacturing and space launches to place them into orbit makes this possible today.

With SpaceX’s Starlink service, consisting of thousands of satellites in low earth orbit (and eventually tens of thousands of satellites), low latency satellite internet will be available worldwide with a partial network already being tested.

Other companies are attempting to create their own low earth orbit constellations including OneWeb and Amazon’s Project Kuiper.

Russia’s Roscosmos is planning to create a similar constellation and China via its Hongyun project is already launching satellites in a bid to create its own low earth orbit broadband internet constellation.

These would constitute global internet service providers – though satellites would still depend on ground stations that connected to the physical backbone of the Internet in order to receive and transmit data – and companies involved in proposing and building these constellations are designing custom tailored solutions on a state-by-state basis to address security concerns in an age where information warfare is as serious a threat as actual warfare.

There are also clear military implications regarding satellite navigation and communication.

Its use on the battlefield includes collecting intelligence, coordinating the locations of and communication between troops in the field, guiding warships at sea as well as warplanes overhead, guiding munitions accurately to their targets and for managing the growing fleet of unmanned military vehicles on land, in the air, and both on and under the sea.

The obvious importance of satellite navigation and communication for both a nation’s economy and its defense is why nations like the United States, Russia, China, and the EU have developed their own networks that they control and that they cannot be excluded from. These are networks that they can offer access to for allies and customers, to enhance their alliances and to open up streams of revenue.

The United States maintains the Global Positioning System (GPS) with a constellation of 31 satellites. The maintenance and protection of America’s GPS satellites was transferred to its newly christened Space Force.

Russia maintains the Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) with 24 satellites in orbit. The EU’s Galileo network also consists of 24 satellites.

China recently completed its BeiDou network with 35 satellites in orbit – the largest network of its kind and one of several key indicators illustrating not only how serious China takes this new space race, but the competence it is able to bring to it.

The BeiDou network has already become a key component of China’s One Belt, One Road initiative. It is space infrastructure China is using to help stitch together the economies of Eurasia and to help augment the military capabilities of its allies – including nations like Pakistan who now have access to BeiDou’s higher military-grade positioning resolution.

Since China is building continent-spanning transportation infrastructure – creating and maintaining its own network of navigation satellites with global coverage prevents nations like the US from cutting it off from the GPS network at junctures of geopolitical tensions and potentially stranding logistical operations across entire continents.

CISLunar Economy 

United Launch Alliance (ULA) – a space lift company created by Boeing and Lockheed – has proposed what it calls a “cislunar economy.” Cislunar describes the space between the Earth and the Moon.

ULA’s proposal imagines a cislunar economy reaching $3 trillion by 2050. According to SpaceNews in an article titled, “ULA’s Tory Bruno argues for U.S. investments in the production of fuel in space,” that economy would include mining, transportation, manufacturing and space tourism.

Space.com in an article titled, “Inside ULA’s Plan to Have 1,000 People Working in Space by 2045,” would note just how many people would make up that economy.

Mining and in-situ manufacturing in space alone would be transformative for human civilization – akin to moving from the bronze age to the iron age. The resources trapped in near earth objects dwarf the total amount of resources here on Earth. It is just a matter of accessing it and possessing the tools to use it in manufacturing processes in space.

The science fiction future imagined in books and movies for decades could become a reality, complete with orbital habitats not unlike that featured in the 2013 film, “Elysium,” hopefully without the accompanying dystopian class divide.

While ULA’s own expendable launch vehicles are unlikely capable now or anytime in the near future of actually realizing their cislunar economy, other US-based companies and even those abroad might – and sooner than we imagine.

Jeff Bezos – Amazon founder and owner of US-based aerospace company Blue Origin – has proposed a roadmap (video) for the mining of resources and the construction of such habitats. Blue Origin is currently working on its New Glenn rocket – the closest launch vehicle in terms of capability and reusability to SpaceX’s Starship currently under testing. New Glenn, Starship, and similar launch vehicles would be needed to create the foundation of these proposed manned economies in space.

Getting to Space

Space was once the sole domain of a handful of government space programs.

Today, governments, corporations, and a mix of both are now widening the space launch capabilities of countries with space programs, as well as opening increasingly attractive options for nations without their own space launch capabilities.

To date, Russia, the US, Japan, China, the EU, India, Israel, Ukraine, Iran, and North Korea have all demonstrated the ability to launch payloads into orbit.

Currently, China, Russia, and the US lead the world in total launches per year – placing public, military, and commercial payloads into orbit not just for their respective countries but for a wide range of customers from around the world.

China currently leads, or closely follows the US in total launches per year – depending on the year – with US-based SpaceX accounting for America’s ability to continue competing.

The US currently holds the edge in overall competitiveness – again because of SpaceX – and owed in particular to SpaceX’s reusable Falcon 9 launch vehicle. Some of its Falcon 9 boosters have flown and landed up to 8 times (at the time of writing). The boosters are designed to fly up to 10 times before major overhauls.

The merit of reusability has not been lost on America’s main competitors. China has been nurturing its own private space industry and several companies are pursuing Falcon-style reusability including Galactic Energy with its planned Pallas 1 rocket targeting a 2021 test launch. Companies like iSpace are also pursuing similarly reusable launch vehicles. Both companies have already reached orbit with expendable rocket designs.

Russia’s Roscosmos is developing its Amur rocket, following SpaceX’s strategy for reusability using a first stage that launches and lands under the power of its own rocket engines.

SpaceX itself – while continuing to launch its Falcon 9 on a regular basis (26 launches in 2020 alone) – is working on the next generation of reusable launch vehicles – Starship.

It will be the largest, most powerful rocket ever built and feature fully reusable first and second stages. It is designed ultimately not only to send people to Mars, but to be able to lift enough material, equipment, and people into orbit frequently enough to build a city on the red planet.

While this goal remains on a more distant horizon, the cargo lift capabilities of Starship – lifting 150 tons into low earth orbit – and its rapid reusability will make access to space cheaper than ever before. It will open up a variety of possibilities both economically and militarily for the United States and its allies, as well as for commercial partners around the world – while leaving other nations playing catch-up.

Nothing like Starship is even under development elsewhere around the globe. While China and Russia are developing heavy-lift rockets nearing Starship’s lift capabilities, none of them will be even partially reusable.

There is also the ability to reach other places in the solar system – other than Earth orbit. The US, China, Russia, and Japan all possess the capability to reach the Moon, Mars, and even near earth objects like asteroids.

In 2020 when the most recent launch window opened to send missions to Mars, the US and China both sent major missions.

NASA’s Perseverance rover successfully touched down on Mars’ surface earlier this month. The rover contains experiments to retrieve and eventually send back samples of the Martian surface to Earth as part of future missions to Mars, as well as an experiment for in-situ oxygen production which will be vital for human habitation and the production of fuel on Mars in the future.

China’s mission – Tianwen-1 – has also reached the red planet, featuring an orbiter, a lander, and a rover.

If China successfully lands on the surface of Mars it will signify a major milestone for the nation and its spaceborne capabilities. Having already reached Mars orbit and having sent back incredible pictures of the Martian surface – Tianwen-1 has already made a major geopolitical statement.

While critics say China has not done the many things the US has done in space and has a long way to go to catch up – China does not need to replicate America’s past achievements – it merely needs to match or surpass America’s current achievements and is working to do exactly this.

NASA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) have both sent missions to asteroids – a major first step toward eventually exploiting the vast amount of resources trapped in them.

JAXA’s Hayabusa missions both retrieved samples from targeted asteroids and returned them to Earth. NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission has successfully collected a sample from asteroid Bennu and is slated to return it to Earth by 2023.

Getting into space and being able to reach a wide variety of destinations there – and being able to carry out a wide variety of activities will be key to expanding Earth’s economy into space. Government agencies and private companies are developing these capabilities at an increasingly faster pace each year with large implications regarding cooperation and conflict in space in the near future.

Conflict in Space

The networks being placed into orbit will enhance the economic and military capabilities of the respective nations on the ground launching them. The importance of creating and defending these networks is obvious.

Satellite navigation’s use in conducting warfare and in particularly accurately guiding unmanned aircraft and even munitions across the battlefield makes it an obvious target for electronic jamming.

Here we can see the clearest example of how geopolitical competition on Earth is extending into the domain of space.

The National Interest in a 2019 article titled, “GPS Jammed: Russia Is Messing with America’s F-35s,” would claim:

Russian forces have been jamming GPS systems in the Middle East. The electronic-warfare campaign could affect U.S. forces gathering in the region in advance of potential strikes on Iran.

“Since last spring, pilots flying through the Middle East, specifically around Syria, have noted that their GPS systems have displayed the wrong location or stopped working entirely,” The Times of Israel reported in late June 2019.

GPS is essential for US military operations – and for pilots of warplanes like the F-35 in particular – both regarding navigation and guiding munitions to target. Jamming GPS signals in theater means partially blinding US warplanes and severely inhibiting their ability to carry out military operations.

While the US has claimed this jamming is a serious provocation, Syria is a nation the US has illegally occupied for years. This is in addition to its military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan and, as the article points out, its planned military aggression against Iran, all nations thousands of miles from America’s shores, and all nations that pose no direct threat to the US itself.

The use of America’s GPS in the Middle East is explicitly for enabling military aggression abroad – not the defense of the United States itself.

With the founding of the US Space Force in late 2019, and with the new armed forces branch overseeing America’s GPS capabilities, it is certain that stopping Russia or any other nation from disrupting these capabilities overseas will become part of its mission.

It is clear that the US Space Force will be used – not to defend the United States itself – but to prevent others from defending themselves from US aggression and its spaceborne capabilities used to enable it.

Russia’s use of electronic jamming has complicated American aggression in the Middle East. But there are other threats to America’s spaceborne capabilities – and theoretically, to those of all other nations as well.

This includes anti-satellite missiles.

In 2007, when China tested an anti-satellite (ASAT) missile which destroyed one of its aging Fengyun series weather satellites, the West vocally protested – so much so – that many might believe China was the first ever to carry out such a test.

In reality, the US conducted a very similar test as early as 1985 using an ASM-135 ASAT missile mounted on an F-15 Eagle fighter aircraft. The missile was used to destroy the Solwind P78-1 satellite – a scientific platform nearing the end of its lifespan.

The early US test – like the Chinese one in 2007 – created debris that posed a hazard to other satellites and spacecraft in orbit. The US test even delayed the construction of what is now the International Space Station (ISS).

After the Chinese test in 2007 – and despite the US already demonstrating its ability to destroy satellites in orbit – the US carried out an additional ASAT mission a year later using a modified SM-3 missile to destroy the USA-193 reconnaissance satellite operated by the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

While the mission was justified by claiming there were fears that the malfunctioning satellite could enter the atmosphere and cause contamination with its highly toxic fuel – the timing following the Chinese missile test made it clear this story was just cover for what was a tit-for-tat demonstration vis-a-vis China and a test of US missile defense systems as provocative as the US claimed China’s test was.

Russia began testing modern ASAT missiles in 2015, conducting several tests but none of them directed at actually destroying a satellite in orbit.

India – a nation with an increasingly capable space program – tested an ASAT missile in 2019 successfully destroying a test satellite in low earth orbit (LEO).

In other words, several nations now possess the ability to not only jam satellites but also destroy them.

For nations like the US who depend heavily on its GPS network when fighting wars of aggression abroad – the destruction of even parts of its GPS network would immediately impact its fighting capacity and require a time consuming and expensive process to replace lost satellites.

The advent of ASAT systems has increased the cost of US military aggression abroad should red lines be crossed and either Russia or China decide to begin targeting this crucial component of American military might.

On the other hand, US-based SpaceX – should its Starship launch vehicle begin placing payloads into orbit, it would be capable of replacing entire constellations faster than they could be shot down.

Here, we can see the potential ingredients for a space-based arms race.

Should ULA’s cislunar economy – or a version of it – begin to take shape, it will be difficult to imagine how economics in orbit and on Earth, as well as the conflict that will inevitably arise will take full shape.

It may resemble in many ways the process of exploring for and exploiting hydrocarbons here on Earth with a process of staking and exploiting claims clearly defined and competitors moving on to other objects in search for resources.

If current studies of near earth objects are accurate, there would be more resources in space than human civilization has the ability to fully exploit – although real estate on the Moon or Mars, or specific asteroids in closer proximity to Earth would be likely candidates for races, competition, and possible conflict.

Conflict might be fought out on Earth between respective nations over what is happening in space or a new class of weapons and tactics might be developed for use in space-to-space combat.

Here on Earth we can already see attempts by the US to pressure nations like Iran and hinder the development of Iran’s space program – which has already successfully placed payloads into orbit and is developing more capable launch vehicles as well as its own satellites to place in orbit.

Denial to space, and denial to regions in space may become common themes in near-future warfare.

Cooperation in space or exclusion of certain nations from specific projects has already become a geopolitical tool. Russia’s monopoly over manned space launches – only recently broken by SpaceX’s crewed Dragon 2 spacecraft – was a useful tool for Moscow to remind America of the limits of its omnipotence.

America’s plans for a Lunar Gateway station now exclude Russia – a politically-motivated decision that will cost America in terms of technical expertise can capabilities Russia could offer the project.

America’s exclusion of China from virtually all cooperation with NASA including on the International Space Station would at first serve to hinder China’s space program – but now appears to be spurring it.

China now plans to launch its own space station and will use it to cooperate with any  and all nations in space – including those thus far excluded by US-dominated projects.

These are possibilities that are no longer the domain of science fiction writers but the serious topics of policymakers and the aerospace branches of national armed forces around the globe.

Satellite-killing missiles, moon bases, Mars rovers, space stations, rockets taking off and landing under the power of their own engines – are fast becoming a reality or in some cases, are already here.

The new space race has begun and it is a race a growing number of nations and companies are joining on a nearly monthly basis.

Rockets are taking off from traditional launch sites in Florida and Kazakhstan – but also now from places like New Zealand and Amur Oblast in eastern Russia. SpaceX is building a spaceport in Boca Chica, Texas, near America’s border with Mexico. And China is constructing new launch facilities on land and at sea.

The scale and importance of activity in space is expanding rapidly, with ever-expanding rewards of the wealth, power and influence for its participants. Wherever there are people and resources – there will be competition, and in this new space race we will likely see this competition move beyond flag-planting and toward something that resembles actual conflict.

Airline Passenger Sees UFO Fleet Over Bay of Bengal, India On Aug 10, 2017, UFO Sighting News.

The video was posted this week on Youtube, however the person had been holding it since it occurred in 2017. The person said they didn't release it till they saw other similar videos and thought someone may be interested in it. Yep...I'm interested! I analyzed the video carefully and saw that when enlarged, a few of the glowing orbs did pass behind the clouds disappearing for a few seconds. This is 100% proof that the objects are outside the window and not a reflection from inside the aircraft. That was a main concern for me, but the results are clear...those are outside the aircraft. I have seen one other video of a similar event many years ago, but this video is more clear. This is a very rare event, when a alien fleet masses above the clouds. There must be a hundred or more of them. 100% proof that aliens exist on Earth!

While looking over a Mars gigapan photo, I found something intriguing on the far right of the picture. A face, a huge statue face carved into the side of a boulder. The face has an eye, nose, mouth and it looks very similar to a human face. To dismiss such evidence is not only ignorant of the facts, but literally a crime against humanity. What would have happened we still believed the earth was flat? Or the sun revolved around the earth? Its a crime against all humanity to be stuck into that false way of thinking. A closed mind, is a close door to the facts. This my friends...is 100% proof that intelligent life with a face like our own, once lived and thrived on the surface of Mars.

This eyewitness was recording the moon with an advanced Nikon p900 camera when a black cylinder UFO passed across the moon. The UFO surprised the eyewitness so much that he seemed to panic as he zoomed out, zoomed in, then zoomed out again. All the while trying to find the object that passed in front of his lens. By chance he did miss the UFO when he zoomed out, because at 1:06 into the video (has to be paused to see it) you will notice the object at the bottom center of the screen for two seconds. Wow, just an awesome lucky catch. 

 

What really gets me is that just last Sunday, a pilot from American Airlines reported a similar cylinder object flying over his plane in New Mexico...the pilot described it as "looking like a cruise missile." Well this looks exactly as he described!

NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover captured on its third day on Mars strange rectangular bright shining metallic looking objects resting on top of an underlying metallic looking sheet. 

It is suggested that it could be the Perseverance Heat Shield that helped protect NASA's Perseverance rover during its landing on the surface of Mars or other parts of the Mars 2020 mission landing system. 

But an official map provided by NASA shows that the heat shield and other parts of the landing system are much further away then the metallic looking objects in front of the Perseverance camera. 

Could it be something artificial, left behind by visitors from the past?

Pilots of an American Airlines jet flying over New Mexico say they saw something fly directly over them that they cannot explain. 

The strange encounter happened over the northeast corner of New Mexico west of Clayton, New Mexico as the jet was cruising at 36,000 feet traveling around 460 mph. 

The unidentified flying object sighting was documented by the pilots when they radioed the Albuquerque Center according to The Drive. 

"Do you have any targets up here," the pilot asked before reporting that "we just had something go right over the top of us." "I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast right over the top of us." 

A response to the pilot's inquiry was, unfortunately, not picked up, but flight tracking websites indicate that there were no aircraft in the vicinity of the plane which could account for the odd sighting. 

Meanwhile, the FAA has released a short statement, which reads: A pilot reported seeing an object over New Mexico shortly after noon local time on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. FAA air traffic controllers did not see any object in the area on their radarscopes.        

It is clear, something is not right here.

Biggest Reveal: US Govt Admitted Testing Roswell UFO Debris To Create Advanced Technology

A stunning explanation is given by American UFO researcher Anthony Bragalia that he had received 150 pages of text from the US Military Intelligence Agency. He filed a request to the US government about the information on UFO debris they possess under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) three years ago and got a reply from them.

He wrote that the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) did not deny the fact that the military recovered the wreckage from the UFO crash site in New Mexico, 1947. It has been revealed officially that the material of the UFO was given to the DIA for analysis, and its properties did not match any material known to man.

According to the released information, there was a discussion of a certain material with shape-recovery properties like the “memory metal.”

The people who witnessed this event could not determine what kind of object had fallen in Roswell, and the US government quickly took everything under control by declaring that a meteorological balloon had collapsed near the city, but UFO enthusiasts did not believe this story. Since then, researchers around the world have been collecting bits of information about this event.

Anthony Bragalia, an American ufologist who closely monitors and records all the incidents and encounters with extraterrestrials that are significant, shared his opinion on the topic.

He wrote:

“It appears that the retrieved debris exhibits other extraordinary capabilities. In addition to “remembering” their original form when bent or crushed, some of these futuristic materials have the potential to make things invisible, “compress” electromagnetic energy, and even slow down the speed of light. Although much of the reports’ details are redacted, what can be gleaned is that these technologies represent a literal quantum leap beyond the properties of all existing material known to man.”

Bragalia made a request under FOIA in 2017 and asked the DIA about the physical properties, descriptions, and compositions of the UFO material. In addition, the US Intelligence agency wrote that the material had been analyzed under the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program monitored by Bigelow Aerospace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the received information, there were several pages discussing some advanced technology connected with nitinol, described as shape recovery alloy. He also noted that the agency’s response contained information on studies of the potential use of nitinol on the human body to improve health.

According to him, the US scientists had planned to create phase diagrams for the manufacture of metal with similar properties (memory effect) using ultra-high-purity titanium and nickel.

Bragalia wrote that the reports he received from the DIA mentioned a special kind of highly-engineered material known as a metamaterial, described as “assemblies of multiple elements fashioned from composite materials such as metals and plastics.” Such material cannot be found in natural occurrences. Interestingly, after two months of the Roswell incident, in September 1947, General George Shulgen of Air Intelligence described “the materials of construction” of the flying saucers as potentially being made of “composite or sandwich construction utilizing various combinations of metal and plastics.”

Unfortunately, there is no clue where the debris of that UFO could be, and also Bigelow Aerospace suddenly laid off all its 85 employees in March of last year.

Although Bragalia did not get satisfactory information from the DIA, he sounded more confident and wrote that he would rechallenge the government, asking them to tell its citizens about the extraordinary extraterrestrial hardware.

Why Aliens Really Don’t Want To Come To Earth

If you combine all our current knowledge of statistics and astronomy, it’s nearly comical to believe we’re the only intelligent life in the universe. We decided to break up the mood and do something rather fun – we’ve been really thinking about why aliens may not really want to come to earth – assuming that they’re not already here, of course. This is what we came up with.

THE LANGUAGE

On Earth we speak a lot of different languages and let’s face it, some of them not very well. For the most part we basically slaughter the English language. It seems like every region has its own slang words and words with double meanings.

Not just that, but we have multiple languages on our planet and mastering even one can take some people a lifetime. Imagine if you were an alien and had to communicate with Earthlings in a meaningful way – it would be next to impossible.

Not to mention, humans have extremely poor communication in general. We speak in innuendos and metaphors. We lie, we talk around the truth, and we people please and try to make everyone happy.

To top it off, we use gestures and body language that mean something different depending on where you are in the world. I can’t even begin to comprehend the misunderstandings we’d have trying to communicate with aliens.

WE’RE STILL CONSIDERED A PRIMITIVE SPECIES

If you look at the Kardashev scale, we aren’t even registered as a primitive civilization. Hell, according to renowned scientist Dr. Michio Kaku we’re not even considered a type 1 civilization.

Think about the radio and television waves we’ve been sending into the universe throughout the years. Somewhere in this moment shows like the Kardashians, Teen Mom, and a host of other trashy television shows are hurtling their way through space.

If an alien civilization has the ability to watch these shows, what will they think? What would you think?

The same holds true but for Hitler’s Olympic Speech and other radio transmissions from long ago. They could just be reaching an alien civilization capable of playing them.

So, unless some alien race is on a mission of good will to save us from ourselves, there would be no reason for them to even want to visit a planet populated with what an advanced alien race might consider stupid people. On a lighter note, they could simply not want to bother us.

WE’RE A VIOLENT PLANET

To the casual outside observer we have to be considered an extremely violent society, and they probably wouldn’t be too far from the truth. How many wars have we fought since the dawn of time? Too many to count.

In addition, we are making no attempt whatsoever to hide our violent tendencies from the rest of the Milky Way. Remember when we dropped the atomic bombs on Japan?

Not only were the explosions able to be detected in space, they have left an electromagnetic signature that would be easily recognizable to any advanced civilization.

Not just that, but it would be possible for aliens to detect the gamma radiation coming from all those nuclear warheads countries have stored all over the world.

Think of it this way, if you had your choice to vacation in a warring part of the world or someplace, say, like Hawaii or the Caribbean, where would you go?

It’s the same line of thought for aliens, why go to a planet constantly at war when we could go to a peace – loving planet instead.

A peace loving alien race would want no part of Earth based upon our violent society, culture, civilizations, and governments – and who can blame them? Don’t you ever just wish you could push a button on your shirt and say, “Beam me up, Scotty?”

OUR PLANET COULD BE POISONOUS FOR THEM

Just because we rely on things like oxygen, nitrogen, and our planet’s biology, ecology, and environment to survive, doesn’t mean that our planet wouldn’t be considered toxic to some alien species.

All planets are not the same, and organisms that may exist on other planets have evolved and adapted based upon their planet’s environment and resources and therefore might not be compatible with Earth’s atmosphere and living conditions.

THEY CAN’T GET HERE FROM THERE

As advanced as we would like to think aliens are, the fact remains that not all alien races may be as advanced as we’ve assumed or wished. They literally may not be able to get to us any more than we have the technology or capability to get to them.

While advances are made every day in the world of science, unless they can travel at the speed of thought, aliens landing on Earth may still literally be light years away.

WE HAVE A DEFINATE LACK OF COMMUNICATION

For years we’ve tried to make contact with life on other planets, and organizations, even SETI, the (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) is still using the same method that’s been tried for what seems like forever – radio waves.

What if aliens don’t use such primitive means of communication and simply can’t hear us? Our scientists either haven’t fully explored or discovered the use of full spectrum communication, so it could be that there are messages floating around us by the thousands and we’re simply not using the right equipment to hear and decipher them.

So that’s our list, why do you think aliens may not want to come to Earth?

The Myth And Truth About The 13,000 Year-Old Alien Satellite

The story begins in 1954, three years before mankind launched its first artificial satellite, the Soviet Sputnik 1.

On May 14, 1954, several newspapers published articles centered on a statement belonging to retired Major D. E. Keyhoe. At the time, Keyhoe believed the Earth was circled by one — if not two artificial satellites.

Scientists at the famous White Sands government facility in New Mexico were actively researching this possibility and trying to determine the purpose and origin of these objects.

Later that summer, Aviation Week magazine attempted to explain the mystery by saying the two satellites’ orbits had been mapped out at an altitude of 400, respectively 600 miles above Earth.

“Pentagon scare over the observance of two previously unobserved satellites orbiting the Earth has dissipated with the identification of the objects as natural, not artificial satellites. Dr. Lincoln LaPaz, expert on extraterrestrial bodies from the University of New Mexico, headed the identification project.

“One satellite is orbiting about 400 miles out, while the other track is 600 miles from the Earth. Pentagon thought momentarily the Russians had beaten the U.S. to space explorations.”

Keep in mind that this was all happening during the space race, when spirits were high and tensions were higher. The competition between the United States and the Soviet Union fueled the paranoia as each nation raced towards the sky.

Many astronomers suspected a large satellite was indeed orbiting the Earth and by 1960, even the U.S. Department of Defense acknowledged this alien presence.

“WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 — An unidentified, silent satellite has been discovered circling the Earth in a near-polar orbit by United States tracking stations, the Defense Department said today. The identity of the mystery satellite — which has been dubbed “the dark satellite” are not known despite nearly two weeks of tracking.”

It wasn’t long before people made the connection between the unknown object and Nikola Tesla. In 1899, he had detected a repeating radio signal and believed it originated in outer space. The enigma surrounding the black satellite was deepened by its strange behavior.

Virtually all the artificial satellites had been launched on West to East orbits (following our planet’s natural rotation) while this one circled Earth on a polar orbit, from North to South. Interestingly enough, polar orbits are employed by modern observational satellites that carry out mapping missions. So, was the Black Knight Satellite an observational unit? If so, who put it there?

Some astronomers who claimed to have observed it said the object would disappear, only to reappear in a different place, traveling along a different orbit. They also reported it was moving twice as fast as any other known satellite.

The Black Knight is often mentioned in conjunction with astronaut Gordon Cooper’s historic flight. In 1963, on the last of his 22 days spent in orbit, Cooper radioed Muchea Tracking Station in Australia, telling them that he was able to see a glowing green object rapidly approaching his capsule.

Although his sighting had received live coverage by the National Broadcasting Company, reporters were forbidden to question him upon his return to Earth. Although Major Cooper was a stern believer in aliens and their presence here on Earth, there is no link between his sighting and the Black Knight.

An interesting yet unverified aspect is the alleged decoding of the radio message the satellite is said to broadcast. As the story goes, ham radio operators who picked up the alien transmission managed to interpret it as a star map that pointed to Epsilon Boötis, a star in the Boötes constellation, located at a distance of 52 light years from Earth. Interestingly enough, in Babylonian mythology, the Boötes constellation was depicted as the god Enlil, the chief divinity among the Anunnaki on Earth.

Almost every article on the Black Knight Satellite mentions its age of 13,000 years without referencing the origin of this claim. In 1973, Scottish astronomer and science fiction writer Duncan Lunan said he had succeeded in decoding the message caught by two Norwegian physicists in the 1920’s.

The message was said to have come from a probe orbiting the Earth in the same Lagrangian point as the Moon and that probe had been sent a long time ago by the inhabitants of a planet orbiting Epsilon Boötis. The message read:

“Start here. Our home is Epsilon Boötes , which is a double star. We live on the sixth planet of seven, coming from the sun, which is the larger of the two. Our sixth planet has one moon. Our fourth planet has three. Our first and third planets each have one. Our probe is in the position of Arcturus, known in our maps.”

The star Arcturus was pictured in the deciphered star map in the position it occupied 13,000 years ago, hence the supposed age of the Black Knight.

Lunan’s theory was picked up by Time magazine and included in several documentaries. However, in 1976 he acknowledged it was flawed and withdrew it, only to revise and reinterpret part of it in 1998.

There are a number of famous photos that allegedly show the alien satellite. The official explanations for the object they show is that it’s nothing more than a thermal blanket that had come off one of the many satellites we’ve put up there. While this might be the case, it only explains the photos and not the Black Knight itself, as the unknown object had been reported prior to these photos.

Another aspect is that these famous photos show an object far smaller than the one indicated in earlier reports, which was said to be as large as a city block. On a side note, the vimanas portrayed in ancient Hindu texts were of similar size. Perhaps there’s a connection between the two.

And since no one can deny the size and scope of the UFO phenomena, it stands to reason that among all reports of flying saucers in our skies and oceans we can fit one more: a huge alien satellite orbiting above our planet.

Like with most things related to the unexplained, there is an aura of misinformation surrounding the Black Knight Satellite. Keep in mind, this is the internet, the place where things come to get blown out of proportion.

One last thing, before you go. In medieval times, a black knight was one who had no allegiance or opted to hide it by covering his colors and emblems, effectively stating that he served no lord. Quite a fitting name for an enigmatic alien watcher, isn’t it?

The Thirsty UFOs: Aliens Using Water To Power Their Craft

A number of UFOs have been noted hovering over bodies of water and apparently lowering a tube down to the water and “sucking it up.” These so-called “thirsty UFOs” may be using water to power their craft, may simply need to replenish the on-board water supply much as a commercial jetliner, or, it has been speculated, may be taking water to UFO bases on the Moon.

On July 25, 1952 in Vico, Italy, a man who was fishing in the Serchio River saw a disk hovering for 10 min. From it hung a hose that plunged into the water. The object was 20 m in diameter, with five propellers in the rear and a dome with something like blades on top. An orange glow could be seen through slits along the deck.

A man wearing a diving helmet looked at the witness through a window, and he received a kind of electric shock as a “green ray” hit him. He looked up with difficulty, in time to see the object fly away toward the east. Six days later, a stranger with a foreign accent contacted the witness and intimidated him.

In 1960, another sighting occurred in Syracuse New York when an electronics engineer was fishing, suddenly he heard a shrill, whirring sound and saw a round object, with a rotating light on top, land on the shore.

The sound gradually stopped, an opening became visible, and two dwarfs with oversized heads came out with a hose and pumped water from the river. Their bodies glowed with lights of changing colors.

On the sunny July morning in 1965, John Hembling, geologist and exploration manager for a mining company, and a companion geologist stepped from a helicopter atop a mountain ridge in north-central British Columbia they expected it would be another routine day of reconnaissance and survey.

But on this particular day they were to have the unexpected opportunity of making a study of a much different sort.

“It was about 10 o’clock and we had just set up our equipment after the helicopter left,” said Hembling, “when we saw a silvery object, shining in the sun, appear over a small ridge below us. It had a flattened-out look and our first reaction was that it was some kind of delta-wing aircraft. We soon realized it was not.”

Facing west away from the sun, with the object below them about half a mile away, they had a clear view of what was happening.

“The object was about 50 ft. in diameter,” he said. “On top of its dome there was a little knob, and around the base of the dome there were circular markings. They might have been some kind of riveting, or even windows. They were a bit too small to tell.

“Below these, on the face of the disc itself, there were larger rectangular markings which could have been glass or metallic. Our impression was that they were windows. As far as we could see, there were three of them.”

As the two men watched in astonishment, the object moved slowly across the ridge until it was above a small glacial lake, barely more than a pond. Hovering there an instant, it then descended to less than 50ft. above the water.

Again it hovered and, to the men’s further amazement, lowered a pipe-like instrument from its underside into the water. “At first we thought it was something like a rope-ladder,” Hembling said, “but it didn’t just drop down. It came out smoothly and steadily as if under mechanical control.”

During this procedure the observers were conscious of a humming sound from the object “like a quiet electric motor.” With its appendage in the lake, the disc then rotated slowly like a water-borne top until its “windows” faced the two men.

After remaining in that position for about eight minutes—as the men judged it–the object withdrew its “pipe” as carefully as it had lowered it.

“It climbed slowly, then all of a sudden it was off,” Hembling said. “It shot over the ridge, made a sharp turn without skidding and was out of sight in about 20 seconds. We figured it had gone 20 or 25 miles by the time it disappeared.” That would give it a speed of at least 3,600 m.p.h.

In 1969, Voronov, Russia, Heinrich Ivanovich was driving his motorcycle along the Kama River near a wooded area. On the side of the road he noticed a man who suddenly raised his hand as if saluting.

Ivanovich slowed his motorbike and approached the stranger. As he approached he noticed a strange disc-shaped object on the ground close to the stranger. The stranger wore a grayish-metallic overall with thick-soled boots.

The man did not wear a hat and had a short haircut. On his left hand he held a hose-like implement, which was apparently extracting water from the Kama River.

He approached the stranger and both conversed in the Russian language mostly about the propulsion of the object. They also spoke about space constellations. At the end of the encounter the stranger asked Ivanovich to stay back from the object and to just observe it take off. The object had a semi-transparent green colored globular dome on top.

As the stranger approached the object a door appeared on the dome and he entered it, then shut the door. The external disc immediately began to revolve and its outer rim became invisible. The object then rose into the sky and instantly disappeared into thin air.

On May 22, 1973, Japanese student Masaaki Kudou had taken a summer job as a security guard at Tomakomai, on the island of Hokkaido (Japan), at a timber yard near the sea. After a routine patrol around the site that clear, starry night he parked his patrol car, turned off its lights and looked over the lumberyard and the bay beyond.

What seemed at first to be a shooting star coming down toward the bay, suddenly stopped in its tracks, vanished, reappeared, and began to gyrate slowly down over the bay. It stopped about 70 feet (21m) above the water and then lowered a transparent tube toward the water with a soft sound (described as “min-min-min”).

When the tube reached the water, it began to glow. The tube was withdrawn, and the UFO moved to hover over Kudou’s car. Everything around the car was lit up like day. Kudou was afraid the UFO would attack or even kill him.

Leaning over to watch through his windshield, Kudou saw that the UFO was perfectly smooth and glowing white, with windows around it. He could see the shape of humanoid figures through the windows. More brightly lit UFOs and a large, brown cylinder now joined the first.

The spheres maneuvered and vanished into the cylinder, which then sped north. Kudou, who felt as if he had been bound hand and foot, regained his senses. His car radio was making static and he had a severe headache. The entire event lasted about 12 minutes.

Another thirsty UFO popped up on September 30, 1980 at the White Acres Ranch, near Rosedale, Victoria, Australia. The White Acres Ranch is a cattle station of about 600 acres with several large water tanks.

On that night, George Blackwell, a station hand and caretaker, awoke about 1 A.M. to the sound of the farm’s cattle going wild. He could hear a “strange screeching whistling” as well, and got up to investigate. The moon was out on that night and there was no wind at all.

Blackwell saw a domed object about 15 feet tall and 25 feet broad with white top and blue and orange lights. For a while it hovered over a water tank made of concrete about 450 yards from the house. It then came to rest on the ground 20 yards further on.

Blackwell drove a motorcycle to within 50 feet of the craft. There was no effect on his motorcycle, but the whistling from the UFO suddenly rose to deafening heights, and suddenly there was a loud bang and the craft lifted off. At the same time, a blast of hot air nearly knocked Blackwell over.

The UFO dropped some debris as it flew away eastward at the low altitude of only about 100 feet. Blackwell examined the site early the next day and found a ring of blackened grass, flattened in a counter-clockwise direction. Inside the ring was green grass, but the flowers had disappeared. In a line to the east was a trail of debris which comprised some small rocks, weeds and cow dung.

For days afterward Blackwell suffered headaches and nausea, and his watch refused to work normally. Most importantly, Blackwell had discovered the water tank that the UFO had been hovering over had been completely emptied of the 10,000 gallons of water that it had originally held!

In the last 30 years, new sightings have occurred and new information on old sightings has come forth through the Freedom of Information Acts in the U.S., Britain and Australia. “Experts,” as usual, were baffled, especially that high-tech “aliens” would need to slurp up sea water in a Japanese bay. Why do aliens, or their craft, need something so plentiful as water? Could their craft actually be powered by water?

Outer space is one of the biggest unknown entities to human beings, although space agencies around the world do their best to try to discover things that happen outside our planet.

NASA, one of the world's leading space agencies, possesses a system called 'Sentry' which exhaustively monitors asteroids and the possibilities of whether or not any could collide with Earth in the next 100 years.

The American space agency has considered an asteroid called '2009 JF1' to be potentially dangerous. In fact, it is considered the fifth most dangerous star in terms of its size, distance and speed of approach towards planet Earth.

Date and time of possible impact with Earth

NASA has been able to establish the exact date and time of a possible impact with planet Earth.

The day would be May 6, 2022 and the time would be at 8:34 in the morning (Spanish Peninsular Time).

Asteroid 2009 JF1 is not that big but it travels at a very high speed of 23.92 kilometres per second, almost twice that of the most dangerous asteroid that exists, which is expected to impact Earth in the year 2880.

One strange phenomenon associated with UFO abductions is the mystery of missing time, when people experience a jump forward in time without realizing where they have been and unaware that any time has passed at all. Such cases are many, and one odd one comes to us from the year1966. On October 1, 1966, 19-year-old First Class Airman Robert Matthews arrived at a bus stop in the Cape Cod village of North Truro, Massachusetts, at 8:45 am in order to be picked up and ride off to his very first tour with the U.S. Air Force at the nearby base. He was already nervous enough to begin with, but became more so when he realized that no one was there to pick him up and the area seemed deserted. He called the base from a phone booth and they told him a truck was already on the way to get him and that he should wait there, as it would only take a few minutes. It seemed normal enough at first, but from there things would get very strange, indeed, unfolding into a weird case of missing time and alien abduction.

As Matthews waited for the truck, he noticed “strange lights moving from right to left across the sky,” and felt an irrational fear begin to spread through him. While the lights were certainly odd, he was not sure where this sudden, overbearing feeling of dread was coming from, and in a slight panic he called the base back and asked how long it would be before the truck arrived. The base personnel that took the call was confused by this, as he informed Matthews that the truck had already been there to pick him up and hadn’t seen him. Matthews insisted he had been standing there the whole time and had not left the phone booth, but had seen no truck, and that was when he realized with a certain pang of panic that the time was now 9:45 am, which didn’t make any sense as he had just called the base the first time not 5 minutes before. Or so he thought.

When Matthews got to the base he was extensively questioned on where he had been when the truck arrived to pick him up, but he honestly had no idea. In his mind he had been standing there for only around 5 minutes, had seen the lights, and then had called the base again to ask where the truck was. He was not aware at all that a full hour had passed between those calls and he was sure that he had not left the designated pick up spot. Officials at the base didn’t believe him, thinking that he had been drinking or was making up a tall tale, but Matthews stuck to his story. After this it was sort of forgotten about, he went to work at the base, and would later serve in the Vietnam War, but through the years that strange incident gnawed away at the back of his mind. He became more and more certain that his bizarre bout of missing time had some connection to the lights he had seen, and he had some vague fragments in his mind of strange faces and a medical room, but he couldn’t quite figure out exactly what had happened. Years later he would by pure chance come across a book by notable ufologist Budd Hopkins, and Matthews would have a sort of epiphany, of which he has said:

I was on vacation looking for something to read and on the shelf there in front of me, I saw this book with this creature on it you know. I read the book and I thought someone had stepped into my head and taken my innermost fears and put them in a book. It brought tears to my eyes, you know, I couldn’t believe this was actually happening to someone else.

He contacted Hopkins immediately, and after several interviews the ufologist became convinced that Matthews was experiencing a case of missing time caused by an alien abduction. This is a condition frequently suffered by UFO abductees, in which they have little to no memory of what has happened during their ordeal, thought to be because the aliens have perhaps wiped their memory, often waking up later with no idea of where they’ve been, or in many cases not even realizing that anything has happened at all until they look at a clock and see that so much lost time has passed. Hopkins has said of it:

It is not perceived as a break in which something happens and then a resumption. It is… remembered as continuous and… the half hour trip… turns out to be a two hour trip or whatever, and this is sometimes experienced in conjunction with a UFO sighting or something like a light, but not always.

Hopkins was very familiar with this phenomenon, as he was rather well-known for dealing with missing time cases, had written two books on it called Intruders and Missing Time, and had even organized support groups for these people so they could compare their amazing and often terrifying stories. From his experience, Hopkins suspected that the memories of what had happened during that missing hour were likely still there somewhere in Matthews’ head, and that the best way to dredge them up was through hypnosis. Matthews would agree to be hypnotized and things would get weirder still. Under hypnosis, Matthews could recall many more details of what had happened. He explained that one of the lights he had seen had approached him at a rapid pace, and that it was some sort of otherworldly flying craft. This craft had then landed and a ramp had lowered, revealing three odd-looking beings standing within. Matthews said that these entities had led him into the craft, where he was examined in a room that looked like a sterile medical room of some kind. According to Matthews, the apparent aliens looked at his chest, took samples from his body, and probed him, before depositing him back where they had found them when they were through. Interestingly, Hopkins also learned that Matthews had had another abduction when he was just a child, of which he says:

This was not the only UFO encounter that Robert had in his life. When he was about five or six years old, he saw a green glowing figure in his bedroom, and he tried to scream but nothing came out and he thought he lost his voice and hearing, then all of a sudden, the figure came towards him lifted up his pajamas and then did something to his chest, but when he told his mother, she didn’t believe him.

Hopkins certainly seems to believe him, deeming him a solid example of the missing time phenomenon considering there were indirect witnesses to the incident in the military truck that arrived at that phone booth to find no one there. What is really going on here? Was Mathews really a victim of an alien abduction or is this just a misunderstanding or even a prank he played? If it was a prank it was a dangerous one to pull considering he was reporting for his first day on duty. We will probably never really know for sure what happened on that day, but Mathews’ case adds to the ever growing pile of similar cases of missing time in relation to UFO phenomena, which gets no less stranger and which is no more closer to being fully understood.

The crew of American Airlines Flight 2292 (Airbus A320) witnessed something very odd during a trip from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Phoenix, Arizona. The crew members encountered a mysterious object while they were flying over the remote northeastern corner of New Mexico – located west of the small village of Des Moines.

They noticed the strange object flying over their plane while they were traveling at an altitude of 36,000 feet and a speed of 400 knots. They described it as being a “long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile” and that it was traveling at an exceptionally fast speed.

Experienced radio interceptor Steve Douglass stated that he listened to the flight transmission on his scanners and provided The War Zone with more than an hour of that audio. According to Steve’s blog, he wrote in part, “At approximately 1:19 CST… the pilot reported: “Do you have any targets up here?  We just had something go right over the top of us – I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing – moving really fast right over the top of us.”

He finished off by writing, “No significant military aircraft presence was noted on ADS-B logs. The aircraft flew on to land in Phoenix, AZ.”

The War Zone is trying to authenticate the audio from the FAA and have contacted American Airlines with no response from either companies as of yet.

Since the White Sands Missile Range and several other military facilities are located in New Mexico, some people believe that what the crew witnessed was nothing more than a missile that went off course during testing; however, that seemed very unlikely as the pilots would have been immediately notified.

A secret military aircraft is another possibility but that theory is also highly unlikely because just like the missile hypothesis, the pilots would have been warned that the craft was in the area.

Interestingly, their encounter with the mysterious cylindrical object is eerily similar to another event that happened around the same area three years ago. In the afternoon of February 24, 2018, N71PG (Learjet 36) and American Airlines Flight 1095 (Airbus A321) both encountered an unidentified object traveling at a height of about 40,000 feet. The encounters occurred between the Sonoran Desert National Monument and the New Mexico border.

The fact that two strange encounters occurred around the same area almost exactly three years apart is pretty astonishing. So what did these pilots witness? Was it a UFO or something man-made like a missile or secret aircraft? There are many unknown answers at this point as the mystery continues…

It’s still winter in the Northern Hemisphere – far too early for crops and crop circles – so whoever or whatever makes them made the best of bad weather in Alabama and created some mysterious and beautiful circles on a frozen creek, not a state where it generally gets cold enough for creeks or lakes to freeze. Ice and weather experts are baffled. Could these ice circles be a warning from aliens to start paying attention to climate change?

“First thing I do in the mornings when I get up is open our shutters to look at the water from our bedroom window. I was so surprised. It appeared a bit frightening, since we had no idea what caused it. We quickly went outside onto our deck and then to our lower deck to see this amazing sight. It looked like crop circles you might see when you are looking from an airplane.”

So began a very unusual February 18th for Wynelle Kirkham of Rogersville, 45 miles west of Huntsville. She told a reporter who saw the photos on Facebook that she and her husband lived in their home on a 60-foot bluff facing the 200-yard-wide Anderson Creek for 15 years and have never seen anything like that view on February 18th. After analyzing the photos (see them here), local meteorologist Kate McKenna gave her professional opinion that creek froze near the shoreline first because it’s shallow there, followed by the wind blowing thin pieces of ice to the middle.

The creek is 200 yards wide and the pattern was spread as far as Wynelle Kirkman could see.

As that process repeated itself overnight, the concentric rings formed like those inside a tree. However, she emphasized that this was just a “theory” and opened the floor to other meteorologists.

“This pattern occurs when moving water forces the forming ice to slowly rotate. Shear is involved … When on one side of the creek you have water that’s moving faster than on the other side causing the ice to form in swirls.”

James Spann, a meteorologist at a competing station, didn’t like the broken sheets of ice theory and blamed the circles all one the wind and freezing water. Followers of all posters argued as well, with many preferring the same aliens blamed for the crop circles in England and other European countries. No one seemed to think they were human-made – no footprints or frozen bodies bobbing in the middle of them.

Ice circles are rare but not unheard of. In 2019, a giant mysterious figure appeared on the ice on the south side of Qinghai Lake, a salt lake in Haitai, China. Ice on a salt lake? That’s mysterious enough, but the ice circles also had a shape that seemed oddly familiar – they looked suspiciously like the logo of an automotive company called AION. How did they do it? You probably had to buy a car to find out. Siberia’s mysterious Lake Baikal is well known for its ice rings which defied explanation until 2020 when underwater sensors found warm eddies swarming in circles under the ice, making the rings.

Both Qinghai Lake and Lake Baikal have had ice circles that could be explained. Will the mysterious rings on Anderson Creek be solved before the weather returns to normal and they’re never seen again?

Of course not. Aliens don’t give up that easily.
