Spacecraft looking for life on Mars beams back jaw-dropping photos

A spacecraft looking for life on Mars has beamed back jaw-dropping images of the Red Planet's terrain.

The ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter's (TGO) observations include an eight-kilometre-wide crater displaying evidence of water ice.

The European Space Agency (ESA) documented the crater that sits in Utopia Planitia, the largest known impact basin in the Solar System with a diameter of roughly 3300 km, or twice the size of Earth’s Sahara Desert from north to south.

The region is known to scientists for showing intriguing ice-related features on and below the surface, including frost on the surface during the Martian winter.

In the southern highlands of Mars, CaSSIS spotted ancient and eroded craters filled with sediment.

When ExoMars flew about 400 km above the crater it almost filled the full field of view of its most sophisticated color camera, CaSSIS (Colour and Stereo Surface Imaging System).

ESA says: "This remnant of an ancient impact is just one of the many scars asteroids have inflicted upon the Red Planet. Water, volcanoes and impacts from asteroids shaped the Martian surface in the ancient past. Mars is currently a cold, dry desert."

The view from CaSSIS showed the crater with material ejected in a way that scientists believe suggests the presence of water ice. When the asteroid hit this region of Mars, the water ice melted and a mix of liquid water and dust rock was propelled from the top layers.

The smooth look of the crater is consistent with other features in the region having evidence of a water-ice history. Zooming into the crater it is possible to see streaks on the walls of the crater, showing evidence of landslides, and ripples sculpted by the wind.

Along the equator of Mars, CaSSIS spotted a couple of interesting craters in Ganges Chasma, a mineralogically diverse canyon in the far-eastern portion of Valles Marineris.

Other observations by the TGO's Trace Gas Orbiter’s Color and Stereo Surface Imaging System (CaSSIS) included a couple of interesting craters in Ganges Chasma, a mineralogically diverse canyon in the far-eastern portion of Valles Marineris along the equator of Mars.

ESA says: "The shape and texture of the ejecta blanket show that the surface was not completely dry at the time of impact. Water ice in the subsurface mixed with fractured rock and dust formed a ‘fluidized’ mass of material that was ejected outwards from the center of the impact site. This indicates that there was water ice present in the surface at the time of impact."

Also observed by CaSSIS are spotted ancient and eroded craters filled with sediment in the southern highlands of Mars. The relatively old, 15 km diameter crater in Tyrrhena Terra, shows its age in its flattened rim – younger craters have sharper, more defined rims – and the degraded ejecta blanket.

The ExoMars program comprises two missions: the first – the Trace Gas Orbiter – launched in 2016 while the second, carrying the Rosalind Franklin rover, is targeted to launch in 2028.

"Together they will address the question of whether life has ever existed on Mars," says ESA.

A satellite video purportedly showing the final moments of MH370 has been making rounds on the internet. The video, consistent with a remote terminal Citrix login to a U.S. spy satellite surveillance system, shows what appears to be the plane over the Nicobar Islands at around 18:40 UTC. This timing aligns with reports from Subang Air Traffic Control, which lost contact with the plane at this precise moment.

In the bottom left corner of the video, the designation “NROL-22” is visible. NROL-22 is part of the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) launched in 2006, designed for missile warning, missile defense, battlespace awareness, and technical intelligence. The coordinates next to the designation align with the known location of MH370 at the time contact was lost.

The video shows three bright UFOs or orbs flying around the plane before it disappears. This startling phenomenon adds a new layer of mystery to the already enigmatic disappearance of MH370.

Early Release and Corroboration

Interestingly, the satellite video was published online on May 19, 2014, a full eight days before the release of the Inmarsat telemetry data on May 27, 2014. The Inmarsat data led investigators to focus on the South Indian Ocean as the plane’s final location. Before this data was made public, there was widespread speculation that MH370 had flown over Indonesia into the South Indian Ocean, a theory now potentially challenged by the satellite video.

Eyewitness Accounts

Katherine Tee, a sailor, reported seeing a plane consistent with MH370 near the Nicobar Islands around the same time depicted in the satellite video. She described seeing the plane flying low, descending, with smoke trailing from its back. Her account adds a crucial eyewitness perspective that aligns with the video footage.

China Times Report

On the day MH370 disappeared, the China Times reported an intercepted communication indicating the plane was disintegrating and attempting an emergency landing at 2:43 AM local time (18:43 UTC). This timing matches the events shown in the satellite video, providing further corroboration from an independent source.

Technical Analysis

Experts have conducted a thorough technical analysis of the satellite video, confirming its consistency with the capabilities of a Boeing 777 and the resolution expected from satellite sensors, approximately 1 meter per pixel. The analysis also demonstrated that the clouds in the video evolve naturally, suggesting the footage is authentic.

The slight perspective movement observed in the video is consistent with satellite footage captured from around 1000 km away. This minor shift further supports the video’s authenticity and the plausibility of the events it depicts.

Synchronization with Drone Footage

The satellite video is synchronized with another video purportedly captured by a drone. Both videos show the same clouds, indicating they were recorded simultaneously from different perspectives. The ability to synchronize these videos so precisely suggests a high level of sophistication, making it highly unlikely that the footage was hoaxed.

Naval Ocean Surveillance

Analysis of satellite trajectories revealed that the Naval Ocean Surveillance Satellite USA-229, capable of signals intelligence (SIGINT), was in the Malacca Straits at 18:40 UTC. This satellite could have relayed the data seen in the MH370 satellite video, supporting the theory that a SIGINT-capable satellite captured the footage.

The UFO Phenomenon and Theories

The presence of three bright UFOs or orbs in the video raises several theories:

1. Alien Intervention:
   • One theory posits that extraterrestrial beings might have been involved in the disappearance of MH370. The orbs could be advanced alien technology, either observing or interacting with the aircraft.
2. Secret Government Technology:
   • Another theory suggests that the orbs could be secret government technology, possibly experimental aircraft or drones with capabilities beyond current publicly known technology. This could imply a covert operation that led to the plane’s disappearance.

Physicist Bob Lazar Who Exposed Area 51 Explains How Element 115 Used As UFOs Fuel

Bob Lazar is the most important entity in exposing the alleged secret activities related to extraterrestrials and UFOs happening at  Area-51. He is widely recognized as the  Area-51 whistle-blower who revealed aliens and the government worked together on secret bases in 1989. Thirty years ago, he claimed to have worked as an engineer near  Area 51 at a hangar called S-4. Lazar claimed in 1989 that Element 115 — a yet-to-be-discovered element on the periodic table — powered antimatter generators found on the craft.

• Note: Bob Lazar’s Element 115 is not “Moscovium,” an element that was first synthesized in 2003 and added to the Periodic Table in 2015. In 2003, a team of Russian and American scientists at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (located in Dubna, a town just north of Moscow) synthesized it for the first time. “115” is simply Moscovium’s atomic number, referring to the 115 protons in an atom’s nucleus. Moscovium, more generally, is a “superheavy” element due to its large atomic number. Hydrogen, with an atomic number of 1, is the most abundant and oldest element in the universe and also the lightest. In stark contrast, Moscovium (Element 115) is both dense and extremely uncommon. When stellar cores reach high enough temperatures and pressures, they can fuse heavier elements together.

The story of Element 115 gets weirder when Bob claimed that the FBI raided his business. His followers found this to be very suspicious, and have theorized that the FBI was attempting to recover samples of Element 115 that Lazar took from  Area-51. According to Motherboard, the FBI did actually raid Bob’s United Nuclear Scientific Equipment and Supplies, which sells radioactive ore and isotopes, X-Ray components, electrical items, high-powered magnets, lab equipment, jet engines, and UFO T-shirts.

This claim was revealed in Jeremy Corbell’s documentary “Bob Lazar: Area 51 and Flying Saucers.” Lazar and the documentary frame the raid as an attempt by the U.S. government to seize alien fuel that Lazar allegedly stole from  Area-51. But the documents obtained by Motherboard had nothing to do with Element 115. Corbell told Express.co.uk: “Lazar did have a stabilized version of Element 115 in his possession at one time. He did tests on it – and filmed the element bending light due to its unique gravitational characteristics. A handful of witnesses observed these tests – including investigative reporter, George Knapp. There is footage of one of these tests in my film. Lazar was able to acquire some of the element when it was being machined at  Area 51.”

Someone can still question the credibility of Bob Lazar, but there are many authentic people to confirm his credibility. George Knapp stated that he had spoken with former employees who worked with Bob and verified that he was a physicist, however, these claims were made informally and off the record. Knapp said that those employees were friends of Lazar’s and only specifically named Joe Vaninetti as being one who confirmed it. Vaninetti had a significant interest in UFOs and was involved in UFO research with Bob, both before and after Bob claimed to have worked at S-4. (Click here to read more about Lazar’s credibility)

Element 115: An Alien Fuel?

A decade before it was synthesized, when Lazar began discussing Element 115, it was still a mystery that was just out of grasp. Theoretical element on the periodic table that, according to others more skeptical of Lazar’s assertion, was perfectly positioned to lend credibility to his views. Similarly, it is possible that element 119 exists as well… but has not yet been discovered. Could it one day become the key ingredient in an alleged alien coverup?

According to Bob, this alien artifact is a highly radioactive element that allows alien spacecraft to traverse the cosmos, impervious to gravity’s effects. Lazar has been claiming for years that he worked on the material at  Area 51 and that it can be used to power spacecraft. Lazar also described the materials utilized to make the craft as metamaterials not from this planet. In a 2019 New York Times report, it was asserted that the Pentagon had been investigating metamaterials from“off-world vehicles not made on this Earth” for years.

“The craft that I worked on, that when it’s going to travel a long distance, that is how it operates. It puts its belly to the target and then brings all of the amplifiers to power, and you know it shoots off in that direction. It doesn’t fly as it would in a science-fiction movie. It flies with the belly, the bottom, forward,” Lazar said in Corbell’s documentary. “There’s no question in my mind, that’s the way the craft operated,” he said. “It’s the exact same propulsion system.”

“It’s a superheavy element,” Lazar once told Larry King. “It’s a unique element. When it’s exposed to radiation, it produces its own gravitational field—its own antigravitational field, and it’s what’s used to lift and propel the craft.” The UFO fuel is stable and did not decay, according to Lazar. He said that the fuel creates gravity waves to propel the UFO.

In his initial TV interviews (check the video below) with George Knapp back in 1989, Bob first discussed Element 115 and how it was used in the propulsion system of the alien craft hidden at the S-4 facility. He never denied or confirmed if aliens had given them Element 115 but he told that they had 500 pounds (227 kg) for reverse engineering purposes.

In 2014, Bob did another interview with Knapp where he discussed Element 115 and how it is created both synthetically and naturally through a supernova, which is the cataclysmic explosion of a star.

Bob Lazar further explained in his interviews that bombarding Element 115 with protons leads to it creating Element 116 (Livermorium), which immediately decays and produces antimatter. The antimatter collides with normal particles creating a massive energy burst, which can be used for propulsion. It is quite likely Element 115 could also be the famed exotic matter that is needed to create traversable wormholes that physicists such as Drs. Kip Thorne and Carl Sagan have speculated, and was the subject of a recently leaked Defense Intelligence Reference Document titled “Traversable Wormholes, Stargates, and Negative Energy.”

In September 2020, Corbell shared a photo of Lazar holding Aerogel that was used to package Element 115 for transport. He said that he could not include this part in his Netflix documentary but promised to publish the clip on his YouTube channel, discussing Element 115 and how he observed it functioning (Editor’s note: I searched throughout Corbell’s channel but could not find a clip explaining Element 115).

“It’s reported that a distortion occurs – a gravitational distortion. This is highlighted by how these vehicles appear to negate the effects of inertia. You’ve heard it thousands of times from credible witnesses regarding their UFO encounters… ‘It shot off at an IMPOSSIBLE speed.’ Cmdr. Fravor & Cmdr. Select Underwood used those exact words to me when describing their encounters with the TIC TAC UFO. The craft displayed instantaneous acceleration – and was immediately gone from both sight and radar. Even the Princeton with it’s SPY-1 radar system confirmed this in real-time.

So what’s up with these transmedium machines – these UFOs that fly with impunity in our airspace? Maybe ELEMENT 115 can give us a glimpse into the UFO presence on Planet Earth,” Corbell wrote.

After leaving the military, he went on to have a successful life as an entrepreneur and became a well-regarded sculptor. Many of his themes focused on black culture, and he has over 100 pieces on show. He was also eventually made an honorary member of the US Space Force back in 2020.

Most importantly, he had never made it to space until now. On May 10th, 2024, people across North America were treated to a rare celestial event: an aurora visible from the Eastern Seabord to the Southern United States. This particular sighting of the Northern Lights (aka. Aurora Borealis) coincided with the most extreme geomagnetic storm since 2003 and the 27th strongest solar flare ever recorded. This led to the dazzling display that was visible to residents all across North America but was also detected by some of Ocean Networks Canada‘s (ONC) undersea sensors at depths of almost three kilometers.

ONC, an initiative of the University of Victoria supported by the Government of Canada, is one of the country’s major research facilities. Its network includes cabled observatories along the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic coasts of Canada and the Southern Ocean. that supply continuous power and internet to scientific instruments, cameras, and over 12,000 ocean sensors. According to a statement released on May 15th, ONC instrument platforms on Canada’s west and east coasts recorded the temporary distortion of Earth’s magnetic field at depths up to 2.7 km (1.68 mi) under the ocean.

The disturbances triggered the movement of compasses, which the ONC uses to orient its Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) instruments that measure ocean currents. The most significant magnetic shift was detected by the ONC NEPTUNE cabled observatory off the coast of Vancouver Island. A compass belonging to this observatory, at a depth of 25 meters (82 ft) at the Folger Passage site, shifted within a range of +30 to -30 degrees. These magnetic disturbances were discovered during data quality control checks, which the ONC routinely performs to ensure their sensors work.

ONC data specialist Alex Slonimer was completing a daily check on the Ocean 3.0 Data Portal in late March when he first noticed the anomaly. Last week’s much larger solar storm reinforced the observation. Slonimer noticed that the peaks in compass headings were closely correlated to the peaks in the visible activity in the aurora. “I looked into whether it was potentially an earthquake, but that didn’t make a lot of sense because the changes in the data were lasting for too long and concurrently at different locations,” said Slonimer in a UVic News release. “Then, I looked into whether it was a solar flare as the sun has been active recently.” 

Professor Justin Albert of UVic’s Department of Physics and Astronomy welcomes this news and sees great potential for subsea detection of solar storms:

“The next two years will be the peak of the 11-year solar cycle. After a decade of relative inactivity, aurora events like this past weekend are likely to become more frequent over the next couple of years, although solar variability makes precise prediction of such events impossible. ONC’s network might provide a very helpful additional window into the effects of solar activity on the Earth’s terrestrial magnetism.”

A former intelligence official who worked at the Pentagon says a deep-dive through top secret government files for evidence of aliens or UFOs has uncovered something far more worrying

A former UFO hunter searching for answers about aliens says there are far more concerning things to be worrying about after taking a deep dive into Pentagon files that could supposedly prove the existence of extraterrestrials.

Sean Kirkpatrick, who used to work for the US government, has taken a deep dive into government archives for information about UFOs and aliens. But what he found is particularly worrying, he says, especially after another former official claimed recently that the US has access to "nonhuman" spacecraft and their "dead pilots".

The classified files he searched, to him, are more concerning than any possibility of extraterrestrials actually being out there. It comes as UFO sightings, including ones from military pilots, continue to fascinate people all over the globe.

Kirkpatrick, a physicist and former intelligence official, told Scientific American in a podcast earlier this year that he went on a historical mission to look at everything the United States government has done on the topic since 1945. He was told to get to the bottom of whether or not there’s been any sort of hidden program made by the government that’s stopped Congress from uncovering the truth about UFOs.

Former US government workers have come out with evidence claiming to prove UFOs exist

Until last December he was in charge of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the very Pentagon office that Congress told to find answers about various UFO and extra-terrestrial claims. But despite having found no evidence of any secret missions whatsoever he says it's brought up something far more concerning.

He said: "[It is] important that we need to get it investigated and documented but certainly takes away from the more salient and concerning mission, the operational mission of the here and now." He went on to say a "cloud of conspiracy" was detracting "from the real mission" which was protecting soldiers.

It comes amid continued claims from whistleblowers, including a former White House insider who shared a document, from around 2020, that appears to prove the US government recovered remains of a crashed UFO in Arizona in the 1950s.

Chris Mellon, who served in the Clinton and George W Bush administrations, published a redacted copy of discussions with a “senior US government official” who says it came down in Arizona.

Three military veterans who testified in Congress' highly anticipated hearing on UFOs last summer included a former Air Force intelligence officer who says the US government has operated a secret programme relating to recovered vessels for decades. Congress has since demanded answers on these objects.

A NEW NASA IMAGE CAPTURES A TRIO OF STARS IN A COSMIC NURSERY

Three baby stars light up the cosmic dust that likely gave birth to them — 550 light-years away.

This week, NASA published an enchanting image of a trio of stars emerging from the clouds of dust and gas from which they formed. This young trio shows what amounts to a cosmic nursery — young stars emerging from the gaseous clouds that likely created them.

NASA found that HP Tau, the star in the cloud, at the top of the central trio, changes in brightness. That could be because it’s still consuming material from the clouds, or emitting flares off its surface, or reveling in the general chaos that comes with stellar adolescence. Thanks to the trio’s light, the Hubble Space Telescope was able to capture this scene, located 550 light-years away in the constellation Taurus.

HP Tau could become a Sun-like star someday, but it still has ways to go. For one, it needs to reach nuclear fusion, the hallmark of any main sequence star. In a star’s heart, immense pressures and high temperatures fuse hydrogen into helium. But HP Tau, which is probably less than 10 million years old, needs more time. By comparison, the Sun is about 4.6 billion years old.

When HP Tau and its stellar brethren came into view, Hubble was investigating protoplanetary disks. These pancake-shaped regions surround stars. They’re another major part of stellar adolescence, and astronomers curious about our own origins love to study them. From protoplanetary disks, over the course of millions of years, planets, moons and extra bits like comets and asteroids take shape.

Hubble captured this scene using its Wide Field Camera 3. Space Shuttle astronauts installed this critical piece of hardware onto the orbiting telescope fifteen years ago, in May 2009. This mission, called Servicing Mission 4, almost didn’t happen. “After the loss of the space shuttle Columbia in 2003, Servicing Mission 4 was canceled due to safety concerns,” according to NASA. “Public support for the mission surged, and two years later it was reinstated,” the agency added.

Boer vindt een enorm mysterieus object op zijn velden in Canada: het is ruimteafval

Een boer heeft een enorm stuk ruimteschroot gevonden op zijn akker in Canada. Dit is wat het precies is.

Een 66-jarige boer uit Saskatchewan, Canada, dat in het zuiden aan de VS grenst, vond een enorm, schijnbaar ongeïdentificeerd object op zijn akker. Barry Sawchuk, zo heet de man, kon niet vermoeden dat het ruimteafval was toen hij het gigantische brokstuk opmerkte. Op dat punt vermoedde een van zijn zonen, Cody, de oorsprong van het enorme object en ging op onderzoek uit om erachter te komen of het echt ruimteschroot was. Nadat ze zich tot een plaatselijke krant hadden gewend om er meer informatie over te krijgen, werden de beelden van de ontdekking ook gezien door Samantha Lawler, universitair hoofddocent astronomie aan de Universiteit van Regina. De deskundige verklaarde zonder enige twijfel: "Dit is absoluut ruimteafval."

Lawler liet de foto's en coördinaten van de ontdekking zien aan astrofysicus Jonathan McDowell van Harvard, die routinematig ruimtelanceringen in de gaten houdt. De collega was in staat om de ware aard van het puin te herkennen. Hij plaatste een afbeelding op zijn X-account en schreef: "Ik besprak dit net met Sam Lawler. Het rompgedeelte van de Dragon Axiom-3 missie keerde op 26 februari terug naar dat gebied. Ik heb er het volste vertrouwen in dat dit een stuk van de romp van de Dragon is."

Het enorme object dat in het veld van de boer belandde, zou dus een stuk zijn van een Space X Dragon-ruimtevaartuig dat in februari terugkeerde naar de aarde, samen met vier bemanningsleden van het internationale ruimtestation.

McDowell liet op sociale media zien dat het traject van het rompgedeelte van de raket tijdens de terugkeer een paar kilometer verwijderd was van het punt waar het puin viel. Om elke twijfel weg te nemen werd ook de Transportation and Safety Board of Canada geraadpleegd, die bevestigde dat er geen luchtrapporten zijn die verband kunnen houden met het puin.

Buiten ons zonnestelsel zijn er verschillende planeten die we als “enkelvoudig” zouden kunnen definiëren en die astronomen in veel gevallen niet kunnen verklaren, zoals de laatste “nieuwkomer”: de planeet die gemaakt lijkt te zijn van suikerspin.

Het universum is zo uitgestrekt en rijk aan hemellichamen dat ontdekkingen over nieuwe exoplaneten, dat wil zeggen die buiten ons zonnestelsel, vrij frequent voorkomen. Sommige van de nieuw geïdentificeerde planeten trekken echter bijzondere belangstelling vanwege hun excentriciteit. De laatste is er zo één: de samenstelling is extreem zacht en licht, zozeer zelfs dat je hem kunt vergelijken met een suikerspin.

De breedte is ongeveer 1,5 keer die van Jupiter en de naam die is gekozen om hem te identificeren is WASP-193 b. Hoewel hij groter is dan onze gasreus, is zijn massa slechts 0,139 van die van Jupiter: dit betekent dat het de tweede lichtste planeet is in de lange lijst van planeten met dit kenmerk. In feite bevat de lijst 5400 planeten en de enige die WASP-193 b overtreft is Kepler 51 d, vergelijkbaar met Neptunus. Maar waar bevindt zich de “suikerspinplaneet”?

Enorme planeten met kleine dichtheden: al jaren een mysterie

WASP-193 b bevindt zich op ongeveer 1200 lichtjaar van onze planeet en draait rond zijn ster op een afstand gelijk aan 0,7 maal die tussen de zon en de aarde. Het duurt slechts 6,2 dagen om een baan te voltooien. Met zijn ontdekking wordt er een stukje toegevoegd aan de prachtige puzzel van het universum. Khalid Barkaoui van MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, en co-auteur van de ontdekking, legde uit: “Het vinden van deze gigantische objecten met zo’n kleine dichtheid is echt heel zeldzaam. Er is een klasse planeten die gezwollen Jupiters worden genoemd, en wat ze zijn is al vijftien jaar een mysterie. Dit is een extreem geval van die klasse."

WASP-193 werd ontdekt door het MIT-team via het Wide Angle Search for Planets (WASP)-systeem, dat twee robotobservatoria heeft, één voor het noordelijk halfrond en één voor het zuidelijk halfrond, evenals talrijke telescopen.

WASP-193 b lijkt echter in tegenspraak te zijn met de huidige concepten met betrekking tot planeetvorming, omdat het extreem “zacht” is, zoals uitgelegd door de co-auteur van de ontdekking Francisco Pozuelos, onderzoeker aan het Instituut voor Astrofysica van Andalusië: "We weten niet waar we deze planeet moeten plaatsen in alle vormingstheorieën die we nu hebben, omdat het een abnormale waarde heeft. She used to live the rock and roll lifestyle while married to Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones. 

However, now the star has left the wild nights of partying behind for an eco-friendly countryside cottage.

The 68-year-old TV personality moved to the old farmhouse in 2019 and has embraced 'off-grid' living, generating her own electricity and nurturing her own vegetable patch.

Aside from WiFi, she more or less lives self-sufficiently and has traded in her days of drinking and joints for homegrown veg and is even creating a capsule supplement called Longevity to boost her health.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Jo admitted that she didn't have an addictive personality which made it easier for her to walk away from the party lifestyle after it suddenly dawned on her one day that way of living wasn't what she wanted.

Jo was married to Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie for 24 years between 1985-2011 and the two share children Leah, 44, and Ty­­­rone, 39.

Jo is also mum to another son, Jamie, 48, from her first marriage to clothing entrepreneur Peter Greene.

After ditching her unhealthy lifestyle, Jo converted to organic food in 1991 after she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, this was later revealed to be a misdiagnosis and she actually had a perforated appendix. 

'I laid in hospital and said to myself "from now on, I will be an organic girl",' Jo explained. 

Her obsession with organics led to her interest in plastics and chemicals in cosmetics which led to her fragrance company Jo Wood Organics. 

The star got Ronnie on a healthy diet, and her son Jamie even joked that he left home because he couldn't stand her being so health conscious anymore. 

She added: 'I'm going to live forever. That's the plan. I certainly want to make sure to live to an old age because I want to see what's going to happen with my grandchildren.'

Living in the middle of nowhere, Jo also explained that she feels free at home, away from the censoring and cancel culture of the world. 

The star remarked that she is unable to post anything that is even slightly controversial on Instagram as somehow it is blocked. 

Jo also confessed she did not get vaccinated due to her organic beliefs as she doesn't wish to be forced to get something she didn't feel like she needed it. 

The star also has a slight obsession with aliens, and her home contains a selection of alien-themed fittings.

Revealing the importance behind the painting, Jo explained: 'Marilyn reminds me of my mummy.'

The lenticular galaxy NGC 4753 is about 60 million light-years away. Lenticular galaxies are midway between elliptical and spiral galaxies. They have large-scale disks but only poorly defined spiral arms. NGC 4753 sees very little star formation because like other lenticulars, it’s used up most of its gas. The fact that they contain mostly older stars makes them similar to elliptical galaxies.

Among lenticulars, NGC 4753 is known for the dust lanes surrounding its nucleus. Astronomers think that spirals evolve into lenticulars in dense environments because they interact with other galaxies and with the intergalactic medium. However, NGC 4753 is in a low-density environment. Its environment and complex structure make it a target for astronomers to test their theories of galaxy formation and evolution.

This Hubble image is the sharpest ever taken of NGC 4753, revealing its intriguing complexity and highlighting the space telescope’s impressive resolving power.

NGC 4753 also hosts two known Type 1a supernovae, which are important because they help astronomers study the expansion of the Universe. They serve as standard candles, an important rung in the cosmic distance ladder.

Galaxies like NGC 4753 may not be rare, but the viewing angle plays a key role in identifying them. Our edge-on view of the galaxy makes its lenticular form clear. We could be seeing others like it from different angles that obscure its nature.

If we were looking at NGC 4753 from the “top” down, its detailed dust lanes wouldn’t be obvious to us. But fortunately, we are.

And so is the Hubble.

For the study, the research duo compared two types of planetary tectonic processes: single lid (also called stagnant lid) and plate tectonics. Single lid refers to a planetary body that does not exhibit plate tectonics and cannot be broken into separate plates that exhibit movement by sliding towards each other (convergent), sliding past each other (transform), or slide away from each other (divergent). This lack of plate tectonic activity is often attributed to a planetary body’s lid being too strong and dense to be broken apart. In the end, the researchers estimated that 75 percent of planetary bodies that exhibit active convection within their interiors do not exhibit plate tectonics and possess single lid tectonics, with Earth being the only planet that exhibits plate tectonics. Therefore, they concluded that single lid tectonics “is likely to dominate the tectonic styles of active silicate bodies in our galaxy”, according to the study.

Additionally, the researchers investigated how planetary continents and oceans contribute to the evolution of intelligent life and technological civilizations. They noted the significance of life first evolving in oceans due to them being shielded from harmful space weather with single-celled life thriving in the oceans for the first few billion years of Earth’s history. However, the researchers also emphasize how dry land provides a myriad of benefits for the evolution of intelligent life, including adaptations to various terrains, such as eyes and new senses, which contributed to animals evolving for speed to hunt among other biological assets that enabled life to adapt to the various terrestrial environments across the planet.

In the end, the researchers concluded dry land helped contribute to the evolution of intelligent life across the planet, including abstract thinking, technology, and science. Therefore, what were the most significant results from this study, and what follow-up studies are currently in the works or being planned?

Dr. Gerya tells Universe Today, “That very special condition (>500 million years coexistence of continents, oceans, and plate tectonics) is needed on a planet with a primitive life in order to develop an intelligent technological communicative life. This condition is very rarely realized: only <0.003-0.2 of="" planets="" with="" any="" life="" may="" satisfy="" this="" condition="" span="">

Dr. Gerya continues, “We plan to study water evolution in the planetary interior in order to understand how stability of surface ocean volume (implying stability of coexistence of oceans and continents) can be maintained for billions of years (like on Earth). We also plan to investigate the survival time of technological civilizations based on societal collapse models. We also started a project on the oxygenation state evolution of planetary interior and atmosphere in order to understand how oxygen-rich atmospheres (essential in particular for developing technological civilizations) can be formed on planets with oceans, continents and plate tectonics. Progress in these three directions is essential but will greatly depend on the availability of research funding.”

As noted, this study was motivated and attempts to improve the Drake Equation, which proposes a multivariable equation that attempts to estimate the number of active, communicative civilizations (ACCs) that exist in the Milky Way Galaxy. It was proposed by in 1961 Dr. Frank Drake to postulate several notions that he encouraged the scientific community to consider when discussing both how and why we haven’t heard from ACCs and reads as follows:

N = R_* x f_p x n_e x f_l x f_i x f_c x L

N = the number of technological civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy who can potentially communicate with other worlds

R_* = the average star formation rate in the Milky Way Galaxy

f_p = the fraction of those stars with planets

n_e = the average number of planets potentially capable of supporting life per star with planets

f_l = the fraction of planets capable of supporting and developing life at some point in its history

f_i = the fraction of planets that develop life and evolves into intelligent life

f_c = the fraction of civilizations who develop technology capable of sending detectable signals into space

L = the length of time that technological civilizations send signals into space

According to the study, the Drake Equation estimates the number of ACCs range widely, between 200 to 50,000,000. As part of the study, the researchers proposed adding two additional variables to the Drake Equation based on their findings that plate tectonics, oceans, and continents have played a vital role in the development and evolution of complex life on Earth, which are as follows:

f_oc = the fraction of habitable exoplanets that possess notable continents and oceans

f_pt = the fraction of habitable exoplanets that possess notable continents and oceans that also exhibit plate tectonics that have been functioning for at least 500 million years

Using these two new variables, the study provided new estimates for f_i (chances of planets that develop life and evolve into intelligent life). So, what is the importance of adding two new variables to the Drake Equation?

Dr. Gerya tells Universe Today, “This allowed us to re-define and estimate more correctly the key term of the Drake equation f_i – probability of a planet with primitive life to develop an intelligent technological communicative life. Originally, f_i was (incorrectly) estimated to be very high (100%). Our estimate is many orders of magnitude lower (<0.003-0.2 which="" likely="" explains="" why="" we="" are="" not="" contacted="" by="" other="" civilizations="" span="">

Additionally, when inputting these two new variables into the entire Drake Equation, the study estimates a far smaller number of ACCs at < 0.006 to 100,000, which is in stark contrast to the original estimates of the Drake Equation of 200 to 50,000,000. Therefore, what implications could this study have on the search for life beyond Earth?

Dr. Gerya tells Universe Today, “It has three key consequences: (1) we should not hope much that we will be contacted (probability of this is very low, in part because the life time of technological civilizations can be shorter than previously expected), (2) we should use remote sensing to look for planets with oceans, continents and plate tectonics (COPT planets) in our galaxy based on their likely distinct (CO2-poor) atmospheres and surface reflectivity signatures (due to the presence of oceans and continents), (3) we should take care about our own planet and civilization, both are extremely rare and must be preserved.”

This study comes as the search for life beyond Earth continues to gain traction, with NASA having confirmed the existence of 5,630 exoplanets as of this writing, with almost 1,700 being classified as Super-Earths and 200 being classified as rocky exoplanets. Despite these incredible numbers, especially since exoplanets first started being discovered in the 1990s, humanity has yet to detect any type of signal from an extraterrestrial technological civilization, which this study referred to as ACCs.

Arguably the closest we have come to receiving a signal from outer space was the Wow! signal, which was a 72-second radio blast received by Ohio State University’s Big Ear radio telescope on August 15, 1977. However, this signal has yet to be received since, along with a complete lack of signals at all. With this study, perhaps scientists can use these two new variables added to the Drake Equation to help narrow the scope of finding intelligent life beyond Earth.

Dr. Gerya concludes by telling Universe Today, “This research is part of an emerging new science – Biogeodynamics, which we try to support and develop. Biogeodynamics aims to understand and quantify relations between the long-term evolution of planetary interiors, surface, atmosphere, and life.”

How will these two new variables added to the Drake Equation help scientists find life beyond Earth in the coming years and decades? Only time will tell, and this is why we science!

The Vatican has long been thought to be hiding something very telling when it comes to it - and The Pope's - involvement with alien cover-ups, with continued silence seemingly not helping

David Grusch is a US Air Force veteran and has often made claims about the US Government's involvement in covering up the truth about aliens and UFOs. However, last year he brought the Vatican into the fold by claiming that it knows about aliens and was involved in a cover-up as far back as 1933.

He said: “1933 was the first recovery in Europe, in Magenta, Italy. They recovered a partially intact vehicle, and the Italian government moved it to a secure airbase in Italy until around 1944-1945

“The Pope back-channelled that, and told the American's what the Italians had and we ended up scooping it.”

He was then asked by NewsNation to clarify whether or not the Catholic Church was aware of “non-human” existence on Earth, to which he replied: “Certainly.” And when asked why he should be believed, he said: “I have the credentials, and I was an intelligence officer.”

But when probed about the claims, the Vatican refused to respond – and has yet to do so to this very day.

Journalist Ross Coulthart suggested: "It's a very difficult situation for the Vatican because if Mr Grusch is telling the truth, it's a difficult thing for the Vatican to admit without the US concurring. I'm told the Vatican does have a very efficient intelligence service and it's long collaborated with intelligence services like the CIA providing useful intelligence, and especially in the wake of the Second World War."

Coulthart claims to be in touch with people with access to the Vatican’s archives, which consists of 53-mile-long shelves full of documents. Answers to Grusch’s claims may lie there, he added.

It has often been claimed that if the Vatican were to open its vault doors and be honest about what it knows, it could do irreparable damage to itself.

But for now, the truth remains . . . more hidden than “out there”.

Bizarre moment RADAR picks up a structure above 'UFO hotbed' during rocket experiment

A group of scientists have been trying to understand what is causing a radar blip in the middle of Utah wilderness that is a notorious 'UFO hotbed'.

In a series of experiments that see the group using both ground-penetrating radar and rockets, they try to determine what may also be causing the electromagnetic disturbance from above. 

The experiments were set at the 512-acre Skinwalker Ranch in northeastern Utah in the Uinta Basin.

The area is notorious for UFO sightings and other paranormal-related mysteries.

The scientists used radar in order to detect what may be behind a specific anomaly they're repeatedly experienced at a specific area of the ranch called The Triangle. 

The ground penetrating radar (GPR) they used sends radio signals into the ground, but some are also sent up into the sky, enabling the detection of objects that might be lingering above. 

The team noted how in the past, when they were scanning the area using GPS, there were times when all data would suddenly be lost, and the GPS signal would give readings that were below the surface of the ranch. 

So far, the team have been unable to identify what is behind the sudden blocking of the GPS signal.

In this latest episode of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, the scientists attempt to uncover more of the mysteries of the area.

While a second team conducted GPR surveys, a similar phenomena was uncovered with major blips picked up at the exact same time as the rocket launch, some 40ft in the air.

Although the team had been attempting to uncover an underground tunnel that may lie below, the scientists were perplexed when the data they received appeared to have been altered by an unknown force.

Only seconds after launch the data produced some unusual readings appearing to show that the rocket had gone directly into the mesa, despite them witnessing from the ground that the rocket had fired straight up, to a height of around 2000ft. 

However, the point where the rocket appeared to go inside the mesa is where a UAP (unidentified aerial phenomenon) was seen both entering and exiting the area on a previous occasion. 

The team at first believe they may have uncovered some sort of electromagnetic disturbance, but others in the group say an object was discovered that appears and disappears if only for a few seconds.

Earlier this month, the team believed they had exposed a possible 'portal' on the haunted ranch, where the team has witnessed a mutilated cow who died under mysterious circumstances. 

The discovery adds to the mystique surrounding Skinwalker Ranch, where past events have included encounters with mutilated cattle and other unexplained phenomena.

In 2008, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) awarded a $10 million contract to BAASS under a contracting program known as the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP).

According to former Senator Harry Reid, whatever happened at Skinwalker was enough to convince the DIA to seriously investigate paranormal and UFO phenomena.

'Something should be done about this. Somebody should study it.' I was convinced he was right,' Reid told New York Magazine.

A 2009 BAASS report commissioned by the Pentagon mentions Skinwalker Ranch in Utah as a 'possible laboratory for studying other intelligences and possible interdimensional phenomena.'

In 2016, Bigelow sold Skinwalker Ranch for $4.5 million to 'Adamantium Holdings', a shell corporation whose true owners have never been traced.

After this sale, all roads leading to the ranch were blocked, the perimeter was secured with cameras and barbed wire, and signs went up warning strangers not to approach.

Anyone who approached the ranch after reported being immediately confronted by guards and ordered to leave.

Proof aliens exist? Federal agencies must now deliver all UFO reports for public disclosure - including classified material

Federal agencies have until October 20th to deliver every document, audio and video they have about UFOs to the US government for distribution to the public.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) issued the instructions this month — putting into action the UFO disclosure amendment to the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), as signed into law last December.

The guidelines reveal the latest strategy to compel unwilling parts of the US military and the intelligence community into revealing everything they know about the mysterious airborne events, now called Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). 

The move comes two months after the Pentagon's UFO office issued a controversial report to Congress, claiming it 'found no verifiable evidence that the US government or private industry has ever had access to extraterrestrial technology.'

NARA archivists have issued guidelines mandating that all UFO or UAP documents be delivered in electronic formats with detailed metadata for inclusion a new searchable database to be made available to the public. 

The database will include classified material that the NARA will store independently, safe keeping the records until they can be declassified for the public.

NARA's guidelines make it clear that all government agencies are required label their records with each file's 'official security status' and any 'special controls' including 'special compartmented information' (SCI) and 'special access programs' (SAP).

Every federal agency, including branches of the US military and the intelligence community, like the CIA, are also required to explain to NARA and the public why certain UFO documents qualify as 'exempt' from disclosure under the new law. 

'If Released in Part or Withheld in Full,' the NARA guideline advisory posting stated, 'cite the specific grounds for postponement in section 1843 of the NDAA.'

The archives added that these agencies must adhere to either these provisions in the new UFO disclosure amendment of the 2024 NDAA or to the provisions 'outlined in Executive Order 13526.'

The order, put into effect by President Barack Obama in 2009, states that all classified material over 25-years old will be up for 'automatic declassification.'

Members of both houses of Congress expressed frustration over the watered-down nature of the UFO disclosure amendment signed into law with the 2024 NDAA.

'We got ripped off. We got completely hosed. They stripped out every part,' said Representative Tim Burchett, one of the lawmakers behind the act. 

And, unpersuaded by the Pentagon's latest UFO report this past March, members of the House Oversight committee in Congress have recently said that they are preparing two new public hearings on UFOs to keep the pressure on. 

'We don't have the facts yet,' as Republican congressman Representative Glenn Grothman explained to reporter with Ask a Pol late last month.

One of these hearings, according to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, will focus on undersea cases of unknown craft, known as Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs).

'We're working on doing something with USO,' Rep. Luna said this May, 'we're talking to some people.'
