The recent discovery of what appears to be a UFO above the legendary Mount Shasta has reinforced the belief that something mysterious is happening in the area. The odd occurrence appeared on Google Street View and caused an unprecedented stir inside the UFO community, since the place of the sighting is renowned for its richness in unexplained aerial phenomenon.
Mount Shasta in California is the central point of a large number of local legends. People say strange activity occurs beneath the mountain due to the existence of a secret and massive alien outpost kept away from sight deep inside the crust of the earth.
Native Americans in the area tell stories of the Great Spirit Chief Skell who came from the sky and never really ascended back, but instead he remains hidden underneath the mountain even today. In more recent years, it was speculated that beneath Mount Shasta continues to exist a city established by survivors from the lost continent of Lemuria.
As the legend goes, British prospector J.C. Brown discovered the underground city in 1904. While looking for gold, he stumbled into a cave that spiraled down for 11 miles and eventually led to the city of Talos. Brown presumably found giant mummies, gold, weapons and shields but was never heard from again once he decided to carry an expedition to the heart of the mountain.
During the last few decades, Mount Shasta shared the reputation of one of the “few global power centers” and plays an important role within the New Age movement. The UFO surprised here only confirms the intense activity in aerial phenomenon depicted by the local inhabitants of the area.
Hypothesis on the mysterious object varies. The most skeptics consider the UFO to be nothing more than a raindrop on the lens of the camera, and others have even suggested that it could be a smashed bug. However, the elucidating hypothesis might be the one involving a glider, considering that the margins of the object are curved, and from afar it seems like a piece of cloth in the wind.
But further analysis indicate the glider scenario might not be the case either. After zooming in on the picture, its full spherical form is revealed. Its smooth design points towards a refined mix of metals that’s constituting the outer carcass of the object.
Upon moving the camera throughout the sky resort, the UFO is no longer visible. Was this caused by a simple glitch, or is it more to it than meets the eye?
According to some UFO enthusiasts, the above phenomenon is clear evidence of UFOs on our planet. Their beliefs are based on the fact that other photos don’t show the craft anymore, proving that it traveled at an extreme speed compared to the Google car. That, and Mount Shasta, a renowned place where numerous UFO sightings occur on a regular basis.
Are there really signs of activity springing from beneath the mountain? If so, can the UFO surprised by the Google Street View camera be somehow related to this secret activity?

5 Historic Paintings That Show Undeniable UFO Activity
Various paintings depicting important historical events from our recent history have in common an intriguing element illustrated in all cases in the form of a UFO, or more like an unusual object that’s strongly resembling a flying saucer.
This out of this world imagery appears in paintings belonging to different movements that all have in common religious motifs that illustrate divine events, which indicates that there’s a strong link between divinity and extraterrestrial activity.
Next, we will enumerate a few iconic examples of pieces of art that simply speak for themselves.
1.The Annunciation with Saint Emidus, painted in 1486 by Italian artist Carlo Crivelli, displaying the Virgin Mary before being told of giving birth to Jesus the Messiah. In this picture we can clearly see a beam of light streaming down from a flying round shape towards Virgin Mary.
The art critics interpreted this obvious UFO activity as a projection of the Lord’s halo, but alien enthusiasts don’t share the critics’ opinion on Jesus’ divine nature. Their belief takes a more plausible and pragmatic approach, worthy of a sci-fi scenario: Jesus was a geneticly engineered embodiment of human perfection implanted in the context of Immaculate Conception. This scenario may have involved Mary’s abduction for impregnation by an alien race.
The light beam’s consistency inside Mary’s chamber adds relevance to the more scientific theory, since the people who claimed that they have been abducted reported that they were inside their houses when a strange light glared from outside, moments before their apprehension.
2.The Baptism of Christ, painted in 1710 by Dutch artist Aert de Gelde, depicts a disc shape object in the sky shining down four beams of light upon the baptismal scene on the ground.
Considering that Gelde was an ardent student of Rembrandt, some say this was his key to accessing forbidden knowledge stored within the walls of Vatican. This work of art may be a hidden clue to a piece of that forbidden knowledge.
3.The Miracle of Snow, by Masolino da Panicale reflects his vision in reference to the legend of snowfall that occurred in a hot summer day in the fourth century.
The painting depicts Jesus and Mary watching from a cloud over the scene of this extraordinary event. Besides the interpretation of that cloud being a kind of window from the heavens down to earth, there are plenty other disk-shaped clouds that for a rapid glance it may seem like a massive UFO activity that could mean that these clouds are an important part of the legend.
This phenomenon is linked to a strikingly similar event that took place on October 27, 1954, when several disk-shaped aircrafts were seen in the sky by the many spectators on a stadium in Florence. The witnesses reported silver glitter identical to snowflakes falling from the sky as the UFOs hovered above them.
4.The next example comes from the Church of Dominican Monastery in Sighisoara, Romania, and it’s pretty self-explanatory: a giant disc-shaped floating object above a burning church.
The German caption below the painting whose author is unknown, reads: “Israel, put your hope in the Lord”. The initial interpretation is that the disc-shaped object is in fact a shield, just like the ones in the 17th century French getons paintings, or so the historians have allegedly debunked. Still, why “shields” and why does it leave behind a trail of smoke?
5.A final outstanding example of alien presence in our lives comes in the form of The Crucifixion of Christ, a fresco that can be seen in Svetishoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta, Georgia.
In this wall painting a bizzare flying object on both sides of the cross is clearly depicted, strongly sustaining theories regarding our divinity’s alien-human hybrid nature.
This work of art might hint at the fact that aliens have always been present in key events along our questionable history, and we are being monitored on every step we make on the evolutionary path.
The holographic universe proves that the physical world we believe is real is in fact illusion. Energy fields are decoded by our brains into a 3D picture, to give the illusion of a physical world.
The perceptions we observe may well be coming from an artificial source.
Suppose we could take our brain out of our body and keep it alive in a glass jar. Put a computer in which all kinds of information can be recorded. Transmit the electrical signals of all the data related to a setting such as image, sound and smell into this computer. Connect this computer to the sensory centers in our brain with electrodes and send the pre-recorded data to our brain.
As our brain perceives these signals it will see and live the setting correlated with these.

Abduction, Alienation and Reason
Not many scientists are prepared to take tales of alien abduction seriously, but John Mack, a Harvard professor who was killed in a road accident in north London last year, did. Ten years on from a row which nearly lost him his job, hundreds of people who claim they were abducted still revere him.
Professor John E Mack was an eminent Harvard psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and Pulitzer Prize winner whose clinical work had focused on explorations of dreams, nightmares and adolescent suicide.
Then, in 1990, he turned the academic community upside down because he wanted to publish his research in which he said that people who claimed they had been abducted by aliens, were not crazy at all. Their experiences, he said, were genuine.
They were not mentally ill or delusional, he said, and it was the responsibility of academicians and psychiatrists not only to take what they said seriously, but to try to understand exactly what that experience was.
And if reality as we know it was unable to take these experiences into serious consideration then what was needed was a change in our perception of reality.
“What are the other possibilities?” said Mack. “Dreams, for instance, do not behave like that. They are highly individual depending on what’s going on in your sub-conscious at the time.
“I would never say, yes, there are aliens taking people. [But] I would say there is a compelling powerful phenomenon here that I can’t account for in any other way, that’s mysterious. Yet I can’t know what it is but it seems to me that it invites a deeper, further inquiry.”
Lifeline
For many people who claimed they had been abducted, John Mack was a lifeline. He worked with more than 200 of them, including professionals, psychologists, writers, students and business people.
Many had never told anyone else of their experiences apart from Mack for fear of ridicule from colleagues, friends and family. Here at last was a highly respected psychiatrist who was not only prepared to listen – but also take what they were saying seriously.
An abductee – or “experiencer” as they prefer to be known – says that alien encounters begin most commonly in their homes and at night. It can however happen anytime, anywhere. They say they are unable to move; they become extremely hot and then appear to float through solid objects, which their logical mind tells them can’t be happening.
Usually the experiencer says they are accompanied by one or two or more humanoid beings who guide them to a ship. They are then subjected to procedures in which instruments are used to penetrate virtually every part of their bodies, including the nose, sinuses, eyes, arms – abdomen and genitalia.
Sperm samples are taken and women have fertilized eggs implanted or removed.
Hybrid offspring
“Have I questioned my own sanity”? says Peter Faust an experiencer and close friend of John Mack’s. “Absolutely, every day to a certain degree because the majority of the world says you’re crazy for having these experiences. But if it was just me who had contact with aliens, who had intimate experience with female aliens and producing hybrid offspring, I would say I’m certifiable, put me away, I’m crazy.
“And that’s how I felt when I initially had these experiences. My wife thought I’d lost it. But then I began to look at the experience outside myself and realized that hundreds if not thousands of people reported that exact same experience. And that gave me sanity. That gave me hope. I knew I couldn’t be fantasizing this.”
The whole experience is often accompanied by a change in the experiencer’s understanding of humanity’s place in the universe.
And it was this that forced Mack to question who we are in the deepest and broadest sense.
“I have come to realize this abduction phenomenon forces us, if we permit ourselves to take it seriously, to re-examine our perception of human identity – to look at who we are from a cosmic perspective,” he said.
Extraordinary work
In 1990 John Mack’s book Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens was published. It shot to the top of the best sellers list and John Mack appeared on radio and television programs. Harvard decided enough was enough.
Mack was sent a letter informing him that there was to be an inquiry into his research on alien abductions. It was the first time in Harvard’s history that a tenured professor was subjected to such an investigation.
John Mack decided to fight back and hired a lawyer, Eric MacLeish.
“It was appalling that John had to go through this,” says MacLeish now. “And we made it clear that if we were to have a full blown trial here, then we were going to have a very public trial and call on everyone who worked with John – all of whom had nothing but praise for his extraordinary work and dedication to his patients – and I don’t think that’s what Harvard had in mind at all.”
There followed 14 months of stressful and bitter negotiations.
“They tried to criticize me, silence me – by saying that by supporting the truth of what these people were experiencing, possibly I was confirming them in a distortion, or a delusion. So instead of being a good psychiatrist and curing them, I was by taking them seriously, confirming them in a delusion and harming them,” said Mack.
The inquiry made front page headlines all over the world and eventually Harvard dropped the case and a statement was issued reaffirming Mack’s academic freedom to study what he wished and concluding that he “remains a member in good standing of the Harvard Faculty of Medicine”.
He continued to work and write.
But Mack was killed in a car collision last year in north London after leaving a Tube station. He was visiting the city to deliver a lecture on the subject which had won him the Pulitzer Prize in 1977, T.E. Lawrence.
But Mack’s work lives on with an institute which now bears his name; the hundreds of people who count themselves in “the experiencer community” still hold him in particular affection.
His search for an expanded notion of reality, which allows for experiences that might not fit traditional perceptions and worldviews, is one they, at least, will be hoping continues. }

As icy temperatures blast much of the northern hemisphere and winter approaches with chilling speed, a mysterious creature from the Himalayas reminds us that the north is home to more than just snow.
This mysterious creature often takes a backseat to the more notable Bigfoot. However, similar in stature and structure to Bigfoot, the Yeti, or Abominable Snowman as he’s sometimes called, is best known for inhabiting the Himalayan Mountains and is an indispensable part of local lore in Nepal and the surrounding area.
Sightings of the creature have also been reported in other parts of the world, including the United States.
The Yeti has a rather extensive history.
According to National Geographic, Alexander the Great came across tales of the beast-man as early as 326 B.C. during his campaign to conquer the Indus Valley.
When he pressed the natives to present a specimen, they refused, saying that the creature could not survive at lower altitudes.
The Nazis were also interested in the Yeti, believing that it might be a progenitor of the Aryan race. Head of the S.S. Heinrich Himmler supposedly sent German Professor Ernst Schäfer to search for the creature in 1938, reported National Geographic. Schäfer came to the conclusion that the Yeti was a Tibetan bear.
Differences Between Yeti and Bigfoot
The Yeti is similar to Bigfoot, but different in several key aspects. The bipedal ape-like creature can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but it is often covered with dark-gray or reddish-brown fur, weighing in at 200 to 400 pounds.
The most distinctive feature between Bigfoot and Yeti is the height; Yeti reports place the creature at an average of about 6 feet tall, according to Live Science, and Bigfoot is said to average about 8 feet tall but accounts come in of it being 10 feet or taller.
Evidence?
Evidence for the Yeti, as with many creatures of myth, is often very hard to come by or unreliable. Unlike the many Bigfoot footprints that are often found and casted, the snowman’s footprints are usually found in snow, which makes it more difficult to differentiate from other creature’s prints.
In 1960, Yeti lore seemed to be reaching new heights when Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to scale Mt. Everest found what he thought might be a scalp from the mysterious beast while searching for physical evidence of the creature. However, the hide was actually from a serow, an animal similar to a goat that is native to the Himalayas.
However, as with Bigfoot, the absence of physical evidence doesn’t mean the creature definitely doesn’t exist. The Himalayas are both remote and vastly uninhabited with a range about 1,500 miles (2,400 kilometers) long.
The Yeti is said to inhabit the space from the tree line, at a height of about 14,000 feet, to the permanent snow area at about 20,000 feet. Mount Everest’s peak sits at 29,028 feet.
Recent Sighting
One of the last alleged sightings wasn’t in the Himalayas, but rather in Litchfield, Maine, last winter.
The sighting was reported to the International Cryptozoology Museum, according to WMTW 8, a local ABC affiliate.
The person who purportedly viewed the Yeti preferred to remain anonymous, only leaving his initials, “M.P.” This person claims the Bigfoot-like beast had fur that was all white.
Yeti’s Place in Nepal’s Culture
Back in Nepal, the Yeti is taken rather seriously and an important part of the culture.
During the Mani Rimdu Festival, which takes place during the first full moon of the 9th month of the Tibetan lunar calendar (late October), the local monks wear masks to represent divine beings during their ritual dance.
During their dance, one of the monks traditionally takes on the role of the Yeti.
The native Sherpas also have a legend surrounding the Yeti, and it states that the Yeti will only show itself to those who believe in it.

Alex Collier claims to be a ‘contactee’ with a race of Nordic looking humans from the constellation of Andromeda.
He has had a number of contact experiences since his childhood and this developed over the years as he was given more and more information by his Andromedan contacts.
I have analyzed Alex Collier’s information, had phone interviews with him, and also interverviewed him over a four day period in September 2005. I have witnessed some physical evidence he has provided to support his testimony. I have also spoken with a direct witness verifying various aspects of Alex’s contact experiences.
Alex has also revealed that he was the recipient of threats from shadow government agencies and abruptly chose to stop disseminating his information in 2000. Furthermore, Alex has give face to face interviews with veteran UFO researcher Paola Harris who has had the opportunity to examine the evidence supporting his testimony and concludes he is credible.
My conclusion from my investigation so far of Alex is that he is very credible and very likely a genuine contactee with a ‘friendly’ extraterrestrial race.
I therefore recommend taking the information he has to reveal very seriously. All those interested in galactic diplomacy and understanding a variety of extraterrestrial races interacting with humanity, will find Alex’s work to be very helpful.
I and others sincerely hope that Alex soon resumes his public life and disseminate the additional information he has to share about his Andromedan contact experiences, and the evidence he has prepared to substantiate these.

Video Interview October 1994
At the recent international UFO Congress, Rick Keefe showed a video interview of Alex Collier from October 1994.
In it Alex talked about his contacts with ‘benevolent’ extraterrestrials from the constellation of Andromeda, and the efforts by these extraterrestrials and others to assist humanity resolve its many problems. This interview was done fairly early in Alex’s public career.
One gets a good idea of the strong emotions he felt in hearing about and revealing some of the things he had been told about ‘regressive ETs’.
The video allows one to judge for themselves the credibility of Alex’s testimony since one can directly observe Alex’s body language and emotions.

On the night and early hours of February 20-21, 1954, while on a ‘vacation’ to Palm Springs, California, President Dwight Eisenhower went missing and allegedly was taken to Edwards Air force base for a secret meeting.
When he showed up the next morning at a church service in Los Angeles, reporters were told that he had to have emergency dental treatment the previous evening and had visited a local dentist.
The dentist later appeared at a function that evening and presented as the ‘dentist’ who had treated Eisenhower. The missing night and morning has subsequently fueled rumors that Eisenhower was using the alleged dentist visit as a cover story for an extraordinary event.
The event is possibly the most significant that any American President could have conducted: an alleged ‘First Contact’ meeting with extraterrestrials at Edwards Air Force base (previously Muroc Airfield), and the beginning of a series of meetings with different extraterrestrial races that led to a ‘treaty’ that was eventually signed. This astonishing First Contact event, if it occurred, will experience its 50th anniversary on February 20-21, 2004.
This paper explores the evidence that the First Contact meeting had occurred with extraterrestrials with a distinctive ‘Nordic’ appearance, the likelihood of an agreement having been spurned with this ‘Nordic race’, the start of a series of meetings that led to a treaty eventually being signed with a different extraterrestrial race dubbed the ‘Greys’, and the motivations of the different extraterrestrial races involved in these treaty discussions.
The paper will further examine why these events were kept secret for so long, the significance of the 50th anniversary of Eisenhower’s meeting with extraterrestrials, and whether an official disclosure announcement is likely in the near future.
There is circumstantial and testimonial evidence supporting Eisenhower’s meeting with extraterrestrials and the start of a series of meetings that culminated in the signing of a treaty with a different group of extraterrestrials.
The most intriguing are circumstances surrounding Eisenhower’s alleged winter vacation to Palm Springs, California from February 17-24, 1954. Firstly, the”vacation for the President” which was announced rather suddenly and came less than a week after Eisenhower’s ‘quail shooting’ vacation in Georgia. According to UFO researcher, William Moore, all this was quite unusual and suggested that there was more to the one week visit to Palm Springs than a simple holiday. [2]
Second, on the Saturday night of February 20, President Eisenhower did go missing fueling press speculation that he had taken ill or even died. In a hastily convened press conference, Eisenhower’s Press Secretary announced that Eisenhower had lost a tooth cap while eating fried chicken and had to be rushed to a local dentist. The local dentist was introduced at an official function on Sunday February 21, as “the dentist who had treated the president”.
Moore’s investigation of the incident concluded that the dentist’s visit was being used as a cover story for Eisenhower’s true whereabouts.
Consequently, Eisenhower was missing for an entire evening and could easily have been taken from Palm Springs to the nearby Muroc Airfield, later renamed Edwards Air Force base. The unscheduled nature of the President’s vacation, the missing President and the dentist cover story provide circumstantial evidence that the true purpose of his Palm Springs vacation was for him to attend an event whose importance was such that it could not be disclosed to the general public.

Recent photos beamed back by NASA’s Curiosity rover of a shadowy figure that’s strongly resembling an astronaut may prove that intelligent lifeforms are already operating on the surface of Mars.

Are we able to draw clear conclusions based on only what they serve us? And even more, can we truly affirm that no human beings have set foot on the Red Planet so far?
To better understand the above questions, I’ll present you with a pile of peculiar photos captured during Curiosity’s mission, where an alleged shadow of an astronaut can be observed just near the rover.
Although the shadowy figure can be interpreted in many ways, there’s no denial that it strongly resembles an astronaut that’s taking care of technical issues encountered by the earthly rover.
Its defined shape is noticed not in one, but in four photos taken over a period of 45 minutes. It constantly changes position, and the last two pictures expose it while bent over the back panel. So can this hypothesis of an astronauts taking care of our rover have any solid background?
According to Scott C. Waring from ufosightingsdaily, this is not the only case when an unusual shadow slips into an official picture. A few years ago, a man stumbled across another similar shadow of a presumed astronaut equipped with an oxygen tank that appears to be fixing the rover.
Can these two appearances be considered a case of pareidolia – a psychological phenomenon that links something inexistent to a familiar pattern? Or rather a true fact that our minds refuse to acknowledge because of the social standards we’re all accustomed to?
The UFO community finds this catch to be clear evidence that something is wrong with this entire Martian mission, if it’s really Mars we’re talking about. Scott Waring who posted this amazing discovery on his blog has an interesting point of view on this:
“I was checking out the newest Curiosity rover photos on the NASA site and found four of them with the shadow of an astronaut in spacesuit that appears to be fixing the rover. This just goes to show the public that the rover is being maintained by humans on Mars, and that there are other spacecraft kept secret from the public that carry a person to Mars in just a few minutes.”
He added another remark that’s a bit unrealistic, but worth the mention:
“I got a Taiwanese friend who works at NASA right now. He said a few years ago that he saw a blue/green wheel spacecraft that hovers like a turning wheel and can carry an astronaut at about 1/20 the speed of light. That’s fast, and would get you to the moon in about 30 seconds.”
Such a scenario is not that hard to imagine considering the technological advancement in recent years (not to mention the hidden toys of the military), but I think that it’s highly unlikely because, even if we could achieve such speeds, the human body will be unable to withstand the atmospheric pressure.
Whatever the case, the shadowy figure found in close vicinity to Curiosity is sure to raise a lot of question marks.
Are there already astronauts on the Red Planet operating in secrecy for NASA and other space agencies? Or maybe we have already designed a form of artificially intelligent robot that’s helping maintain the rovers. Mars is clearly the perfect testing ground for such a machinery.
Other UFO enthusiasts have once again proposed the idea of Curiosity rover being somewhere on Devon Island, Canada, instead of Mars. This is a reasonable point of view that would explain the presence of human beings (or just beings) in spacesuits.
However, these remain only speculations based on our disbelief in governmental institutions, but there’s a good chance for this to be more than just a conspiracy theory.
It is possible that humanity may be at the threshold of the most important moment in its history; contact with an extraterrestrial civilization may be imminent.
Until now, this has been the topic of science fiction books and films. But scientifically speaking, the Universe is too big to maintain only one civilization, the human one.
The search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) was started in the past century, with many projects that were funded by the U.S. government and by private sources. For the moment, nothing has been found to confirm its existence, or if anything has been found, it has not been announced to the public. However, planets have been discovered in our galaxy that indicate similarities with Earth and possibilities of life on those planets.
A few months ago, according to unverified information, there was a meeting of a committee of the U.N., comprised of the permanent members of the Security Council that deals with such issues. It had been the first time in many years that the committee had met and of course very few humans know what was discussed.
Then something very interesting happened. One month after the visit of the Pope to the U.S., the Vatican daily,“L’Osservatore Romano,” hosted an interview on May 13 with the director of the Vatican’s Observatory, titled “The alien is my brother,” in which he says some very important things.
Let us read the contents of his interview.
When he was asked about the possibility of extraterrestrial life, he responded by saying,
“It is possible, even if until now we have no proof. But certainly in such a big universe, this hypothesis cannot be excluded.”
Asked if he sees a contradiction between the Catholic faith and believing in aliens he replied,
“I think there isn’t a contradiction. Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on the earth, so there could be other beings, even intelligent beings, created by God. This is not in contradiction with our faith, because we cannot establish limits to God’s creative freedom. To say it with St. Francis’ words, if we can consider some earthly creatures as brothers or sisters, why could we not speak of a brother alien? He would also belong to creation.”
It is important to note that the Vatican, for the first time in its history, issued a statement of that kind. And the Vatican never makes statements unless there is a reason.
Objectively there is no reason for the Vatican to make such a statement at this time.
Subjectively there may be a reason that humanity does not yet know about.
Let us be more concrete.
When there were contacts between civilizations on Earth in the past, what usually happened was that the stronger one influenced or absorbed the weaker one or that the weaker one died out. This is one of the reasons that the Neanderthal race of humans disappeared and Homo sapiens prevailed. If there was to be contact between humanity and an extraterrestrial civilization, the first casualty could be the religions of Earth, if it were proven that the existence of extraterrestrial life would contradict human religions.
In order to prevent the collapse of human religions, which could lead to chaos and to the loss of the planet’s religious institutions’ power, the Vatican made an effective pre-emptive strike by announcing that no such contradiction exists.
Consequently it is possible that contact between humanity and an extraterrestrial civilization may be imminent and that technical details of such an encounter may be in the process of being worked out. This would explain the Vatican statement.
If that were the case, then all the other problems of the planet would become temporarily irrelevant, in view of the importance of such a contact.
But let us wait and see.
Ponder our thoughts, dear humans, for your benefit.
The three small islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino float in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, south of Sicily and east of the Tunesian coastline.
Though small, their history dates back thousands of years – and continues to throw a magical spell on many visitors. And we need to ask whether the modern tourists are the last in a series of sun worshippers that came to these islands.
Various megalithic monuments are located on Malta, dated at approx. 4000 BC.
What is important is that the buildings are unique in style and that their builders – as is so often the case – are unknown.
Malta is by far the biggest of the three islands: it measures 40 km in length and is 20 km wide. The eastern part of the island has the megalithic monuments of Tarxien, Hagar Qim and Mnajdra. The most northern is Tarxien, a vast temple complex that has become surrounded by a modern town. Next to the old temple rises a modern church, as if underlining that what was once sacred, still is.
The megalithic “church” consists out of a series of oval-shaped “chapels” – typical for the Maltese temple structure.
The temple of Tarxien is unique as it holds its own spring. Archaeological finds in the form of vessels suggest that water must have played an important role on this site – and it is more likely that the role of the spring and its water was spiritual, rather than economic.
Better known is the subterranean chamber complex nearby: the famous Hypogeum, dating from the 4th and 3rd millennium BC. It is here that the remains of no less than 7000 people were discovered. Archaeologists believe that both Mnajdra and the Hypogeum should be considered as one whole, but as the purpose they served, that remains an open question. Was the Hypogeum a temple of the dead, a cemetery? Certain finds inside do suggest that rituals were held inside the complex.
The sites are located in the middle of a modern town, which makes it difficult to imagine the temples in a more original setting. But that setting can be perceived in the southern parts of Malta.
On a slope near the coastline are the temples of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra.
Both temples are close to each, a few hundred meters apart. Again, it suggests that both temples were part of one complex. When the complex is approached from the direction of Tarxien, the visitor finds himself in a valley that leads to the sea. It is there that the famous “Blue Grotto” can be found, an impressive display of nature that for modern tourists is still considered to be a “must see”.
It is perhaps this natural wonder that might explain the presence nearby of the temple complex, as it is located at a mere few hundred meters.
Hagar Qim is the most impressive of all Maltese monuments. The finesse that was used to join the stones can be compared with the precision employed in the Valley Temple, next to the Sphinx, at Gizeh (Egypt), where the builders equally carved out massive stones and placed them together as if it was the easiest job in the world.
But it is only the massive size of the stones that allows for such a comparison. Other than that, both sites have their own unique design and decoration. Still, as we know, that the Hagar Qim monument predates the Valley Temple with many centuries… could this Maltese knowledge of working with giant stones have made it into Egypt?
The small island of Gozo also has a megalithic temple: Ggantija. The name is derived from local folklore, which says that only giants (gigantes) would have been able to construct such a complex. Its folklore is just a modern remain of the legendary importance the Greeks had instilled on the island.
In Greek mythology, Gozo was the island where the nymph Calypso held Odysseus imprisoned for no less than 7 years. Her cave is situated near the temple, with the cave offering one of the most stunning view of the most famous sandy beach of the island.
If Odysseus was indeed imprisoned here, the view from his prison window was excellent.
The temple of Ggantija contains – according to UNESCO – the largest free standing stone in the world.
In itself, this is not that impressive, as there are larger stones elsewhere – they are just not free standing. Nevertheless, Ggantija is yet another impressive temple. What is very intriguing is that north of the temple itself, a stone circle can be found – showing that “classic megalithic monuments” were also constructed on the island.
It is here that archaeologist, in 1987, uncovered human skeletons. The Xaghra stone circle furthermore has a subterranean complex of natural caves, which seem to have been used as a cemetery – thus apparently identifying this location as a Gozo counterpart of the Hypogeum on Malta’s mainland.
The presence of a temple connected with a subterranean cemetery seems to hint at rituals to do with the dead. Perhaps the temples – as was popular elsewhere – might also have been used by priests, employed to contact the ancestors.
As there are no written traditions, at present, it is important to be more prudent and thus conclude that perhaps the temples and underground complexes were merely used for funerary rituals.
The megalithic monuments no longer have a roof, but drawings that date from previous centuries and small models that were left by the megalithic builders themselves reveal that the temples once were roofed. If the roof was made from stone, then it is a major enigma where they disappeared to.
Perhaps it is more like that other material was therefore used.
Still, some archaeologists have concluded that stone would have been the preferred material for the roof – as such a roof would have been virtually impossible to build, they have concluded the temples never had a roof. Still, if we assume that the temples did have a roof – made of stone – than these structures would have closely resembled caves: artificial caves, made to resemble the natural caves?
Many temples are decorated with spirals, and the temples have oval shaped chapels. Certain temples have three ovals, though most have seven. Most temples also contained statues, though most have been partially destroyed – either by the passing of time, or by a deliberate act of destruction at some point in the past. Some of the statues seem to be of a giant woman, with giant breasts, thighs and arms.
Were they statues of the Mother Goddess?
Many archaeologists believe this is indeed the case, though certainty should not be confused with belief in such cases.
Though many archaeological discoveries have occurred in the last century, certain questions remain open: who were the people that build these temples? Where did they come from?
Apart from the temple, there are also the enigmatic “cart ruts”, which can be found in certain sections of the island. What purpose they served is unknown, but some speculate that they may have been markings in the rocky surface which would allow cows or bulls to follow the grooves, “guided” as it were by a mechanism that connected them to the ruts.
This theory has become a hot topic of debate, even though near one car rut, a wheel, made from lava stone, was discovered. Perhaps they had an astronomical purpose, but if so, it is highly improbable that this can ever be proven. At present, the most likely possibility is that they will remain a mystery… though a major discovery seems to be made approximately every decade, so one will never know…
Malta is an island; the closest land – Sicily – is invisible from its shores. Was Malta on par with Crete, as a site of a very ancient culture? There are certain parallels between the two islands. First of all, though both islands have their unique style, the general layout is largely identical: the presence of temples is in the eastern second of the island, close to the sea, and mostly in the northern and southern part (of that eastern section). They are – furthermore – temples: buildings.
At the same time, they are separated by 2000 years. But as on Crete, it is clear that there is an interrelationship with caves and temple complexes – though the caves of Malta could never be found at the altitudes that some of the Cretan mountains rise to. Finally, some of the artifacts recovered from the sites are identical to artifacts recovered at e.g. Knossos, specifically the vessel.
Though such comparisons can be made, it does not explain why Malta was chosen, and not Sicily. Certain demographic conditions might have already existed so many millennia ago that did not allow these people to build there – but perhaps there is a reason why Malta was specifically chosen.
Malta has a unique climate: an incredible amount of sunshine, a statistic it shares with e.g. Carnac in France, where other major monuments are found. Furthermore, the Carnac structures were constructed at roughly the same time as the monuments of Malta. Were the people of Malta solar worshippers?
The possibility that the religion of the Maltese temple builders was sun worship seems likely, particularly when certain information, identified by Joseph Ellul, is taken into account. Ellul’s father was the caretaker of the Hagar Qim complex – a privileged position to learn much about the complex and be confronted with a wide variety of visitors, each giving their insights.
As a result, Ellul was able to identify that certain chapels of the complex were carefully orientated towards the sunrise and sunset of the equinoxes and solstices (e.g. December 21 and June 21). The moon was also an important phenomenon, specifically its 19 year Metonic period. Certain doors “frame” the full moon at the start of this cycle, which also shows that the planning of these complexes must have taken many decades.
Perhaps it is indeed the fact that Malta is an island which has set it apart by the temple builders. Many ancient religions speak of an island, where the sun god had created the world.
In Egypt, this was the god Atum, who masturbated the world in existence. In the French town of Carnac, we find an artificial hill, on top of which can be found specifically phallic-like standing stones. We note that the Mother Goddess statues of Malta might perhaps be more displays of fertility – and hence creation: pregnancy, when breasts become larger than they normally are.
The Maltese builders did not leave us any written documents. The quest for the final answer continues. But it is clear that Malta is no longer the enigma that it once was. It has certain unique characteristics, but also some features that can be found elsewhere.

It isn’t a secret that Earth’s moon has been considered as a critical strategic celestial body. Looking back at history, we will find that numerous countries had planned ‘scientific’ outposts on its surface. However, there are certain documents that have only recently revealed militarization projects of the moon. There is a requirement for a manned military outpost on the moon. The lunar outpost is required to develop and protect potential United States interests on the moon; to develop techniques in moon-based surveillance of the earth and space, in communications relay, and in operations on the surface of the moon; to serve as a base for exploration of the moon, for further exploration into space and for military operations on the moon if required; and to support scientific investigations on the moon. On June 9, 1959, the United States Government decided that the construction of a lunar outpost is of great importance to the country. Project Horizon: The establishment of a Lunar Outpost was created in response to growing interest of other nations, like the Soviet Union in the militarization and exploration of the moon. However, its primary goal was to protect potential United States interests on the lunar surface.
During 1959, the Space Race was adopting a whole new level. Two years after the initial proposal of Project Horizon, the first Apollo mission would launch, on October 27, 1961, creating a new chapter in the history of mankind. However, countries around the globe –primarly the US and the Soviet Union—werent only planning traveling to the moon and placing astronauts into orbit around the planet, their plans were way ahead of time, and they had numerous projects already lined up that would have kickstarted the militarization of our solar system.
The rapid advances in propulsion, electronics and space medicine and other astronautical sciences in the 1950’s would have allowed the successful construction of a military outpost on the moon.
“To be second to the Soviet Union in establishing an outpost on the moon would be disastrous to our nation’s prestige and in turn to our democratic philosophy. Although it is contrary to United States policy, the Soviet Union in establishing the first permanent base may claim the moon or critical areas thereof for its own.“ (Source)
The outpost was planned to be of sufficient size in order to contain sufficient equipment that would later be used in the militarization and exploration of the moon. The military outpost was designed in order to allow the survival and moderate, constructive activity of ONE person, and 10-20 on a sustained basis.
During planning, researchers considered that the outpost needed to be designed for expansion facilities, supply and operation of personnel in order to maintain the maximum extension of sustained occupancy. The futuristic project of 1959 was planned to be self-sufficient for as long as possible without any additional support from Earth.
However, not only was Project Horizon the first step of lunar militarization, the base was designed so it could sever as a permanent manned installation on the moon, which eventually would allow the investigation of scientific, commercial and military potential on the lunar surface.
The lunar outpost was intended to serve as an observation post which would facilitate –in the near future—travel between Earth, the moon and eventual exploration of our solar system and outer space.
The establishment of a manned US outpost on the moon will:
Demonstrate the United States scientific leadership in outer space
Support scientific explorations and investigations.
Extend and improve space reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities and control of space.
Extend and improve communications and serve as a communications relay station.
Provide a basic and supporting research laboratory for space research and development activity.
Develop a stable, low-gravity outpost for use as a launch site for deep space exploration.
Provide an opportunity for scientific exploration and development of a space mapping and survey system.
Provide an emergency staging area, rescue capability or navigational aid for other space activity.
Project Horizon included a ‘sophisticated’ defense system that would be incorporated into the lunar outpost. The base would be defended against Soviet overland attack by man-fired weapons

Conventional Claymore mines modified to puncture pressure suits
Take in count that all of this was possible in 1959. Over half a century later, with the numerous technological advancements, just imagine what we are capable of.
To my knowledge, this maybe the first time that somebody is telling the rest of the world about subterranean UFO Bases he has found. I suppose there is a first time for everything.
On the map further up this report is a reference to the “Mount Dragon UFO Base” entrance. This is definitely a current UFO Base used by Aliens. The entrance to this subterranean Base is a waterfall-lake about 2,500 feet high on the western side of a 5-kilometre long valley, and is approximately 8-kilometres from the coast.
I spent several months living in a village called “Chapuru”, of Cape Esperance, which is north on the coast from the “Subterranean Terrestrial UFO Base” (ST’s new word), and in this area, the Alien activity from this Base is seen of regularly, meaning like nearly every night. During the time I lived at this village, I began to lose count of these UFO sightings at around 60 times, but I do remember estimating that it would be 100 by now.
The reason why I eventually called this unnamed mountain UFO Base entrance “Mt. Dragon” is because the Guadalcanal people who live in this area call these flying ‘balls-of-light’ UFOs, “Dragon Snakes”.
To the people of Northwest Guadalcanal, as they have been observing these “Dragon Snakes” for well over a century, and most probably much longer, although they fear them because people have been killed, injured, or have gone missing due of them, they generally give them no more of a second thought unless in close proximity, as they can be found flying around in the area nearly every night.
As an example of this accepted part of life, about a kilometer East from “Chapuru”, the village I once lived, the current Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands, Prime Minister “Sir Alan Kemakeza’s” main residence is found, and he has seen these UFOs many more times than I have. “Ezekiel Alebua”, a once Prime Minister, the previous Guadalcanal Premier, and Guadalcanal Minister again, also knows of the Waterfall Lake UFO Base entrance.
You can ask anyone from Northwest Guadalcanal about their UFOs, and I mean anyone about them and they will tell you heaps, as they are seen of virtually every night and have been for well over a century.
That is if the American led Australian Solomon Islands Government allows Tourism to continue in the Solomon Islands and doesn’t place restricted no go zones everywhere.
As these sightings did not always become second nature to me, after some extensive investigation to find out where these UFOs go when they were not flying around, over a six-day period there and back, myself and another Guadalcanal friend made an arduous trip to this UFO Base, and from a hidden position in the nearby mountains above it, was when we first discovered that there was more than one “UFO/Dragon Snake” using this place as one of their residence in the Solomon Islands.
This Alien Base is still there today. Apart from all the people of the area, the best person to confirm this Base and its position is “Ezekiel Alebua”. Also, may I say, the current Solomon Island’s Prime Minister, “Sir Allan Kemakeza”, who I know, being from Guadalcanal, knows all about the Giant race existing on his Island, but was unaware of the real reasons why the Australian Prime Minister after many years all of a sudden had a change of heart and started offering assistance with a military interdiction immediately after he got back from visiting the American President.
You cannot tell me that the Americans, British and Australians do not know of these UFO Bases, because I have overwhelming proof that they do. The current ‘Solomon Islands Interdiction’ by the American led Australian Multinational Forces has been named, “Operation Helpem Friend”. No More! Hemi “Operation Containem, and Bringem Come Oil and Gas”.
Incidentally, it was during my adventurous stay at this village that I first began to learn about the Giants of Guadalcanal also.
On the map above is shown the entrances of the UFO Base located in the Central East Coast of Malaita that I know of, and the location of the ‘Ramo mountain remanence’ mentioned.
The question mark represents:
“I know there is some kind of base in that location somewhere too”.
Although one pin is missing near the left-hand arrow, I believe that cluster of pins are all entrances that make up one big UFO Base under the Island.
Contrary to popular belief, NASA, or whoever that mob was, first made contact with the Aliens at the subterranean UFO Base of Central East Malaita in 1961. No doubt this is one of the ways of how they began to gain what partial secret technology that they have today. Back then; during the height of the ‘Cold War’ in attempts to gain technological advantages, they blackmailed these particular Aliens.
This all happened because when the great British Geologist “Mr. Gropher” was doing his few expeditions in the area in-between 1958-1960, he first saw these UFOs and then reported them back to England. In 1961, a Whiteman who claimed himself to be from NASA came to that part of the Island and asked assistance from my wife’s relatives to take him to the UFO subterranean Base entrances, which they did.
Requesting privacy, they left him at the desert coast above the UFO Base. This self-claimed NASA guy (or whoever he was) was gone a week, during which somehow he made contact with these Aliens, until he arrived again, when he asked my wife’s relatives once again for further assistance to take him back from where he came. Most of the people of Kwaio and Kwara’ae know of this NASA guy happening.
In the map above, you will notice the right-hand red pushpin on the east coast with an arrow pointing at it. This is a 50-meter in diameter ‘bottomless circular reef’ in amongst the surrounding 10-meter deep coral reef and is few miles North of ‘Kwoi Island,’ (which is on the border of the Kwaio and Kwara’ae tribes) and South of Namo’ere’ere of Central East Malaita. “Singalanggu Harbour” is slightly further south.
“Balls-of-light” UFOs can be seen going in-and-out of that bottomless circular reef virtually every night. My friends like fishing down this UFO hole during the daytime, because it saves them going out to the danger of the ocean, as lots of big fish like found in the ocean can be found down there.
They have let down over hundred 200 meters of 100 lb line and it still hasn’t hit the bottom. I always think of this hole being made by a huge spaceship that hovered above it and shot a huge laser into the crust of the earth.
Maybe the Australian minesweeper currently in the Solomon’s could go over this UFO hole to determine for us all how deep it is, that is, if they don’t know already. I mean to say, the minesweeper really does belong to us “Australian” taxpayers, and because we are paying 300 million dollars a year to contain these momentous world scattering discoveries instead of putting it into the much in-need hospitals, dental, and education services, just to name a few, maybe they could do this and let us all what they found out.
The left-hand pushpin with the arrow, directly inland from that circular-reef hole UFO Base entrance, about 3-4 miles on the mainland of the Island is a lake of which when the boys are out fishing at night, the UFOs can be seen going in that lake and coming out the circular-reef, or vice-versa. Both entrances are definitely connected. I personally have only seen their activities at the lake in this area.
A UFO coming out of this lake at dusk, incinerated my good friend’s Grandfather, and everyone in the area knows about it. These Aliens, for the want of another name, have installed fear in these people for generations, and many people have gone missing, and I think I know where they are. In the Kwaio and Kwara’ae area are three other entrances in their jungle mountains that I know of, where these ‘balls of light’ type UFO vehicles can be seen going in-and-out.
It is my belief that all these entrances are not individual Bases, but are all connected making up one big one under the Island. I may be wrong, but I also believe one of the many reasons why they there, is that, for reasons of their own, they have been mining a very rare type of gemstone under this highly mineralized Kimberlite base carrying rock volcanic Island of multitude type gemstones.
The rare gemstones of the Alien’s interest that my wife’s relatives possess have a far higher specific gravity than that of diamonds, and a refractive index that when you put the stone in sunlight, you see your mirror image deep in the centre of the stone. Also, holding them to the sun, they are a very deep transparent silvery-blue. For their size, they are noticeably extremely heavy.
I once had one of these “E.T. Stones” that was 32.4 caret, which had these characteristics. Ironically enough, the more customary people of this Island call these particular UFOs “Diamond Snakes”, and there are some old folklore stories supporting the Alien’s interest in these unique gemstones.
As there are many remanence of the “Ramo civilization” to be found on top of the Island, and “the Aliens” underneath for what appears has been a very long time, there is every chance there is a connection between the two. Nevertheless, if there ever were a place that one could call “UFO Headquarters”, it would have to be Central East Malaita. Mind you, these are only the ones I know of.

Discoveries of man-made objects confined in pieces of rock or coal offer a very alluring and tangible evidence that in the “impossibly” distant past, humanity was significantly more technologically advanced than we could even comprehend.
At the top of a mountain peak, 4,300 feet above sea level, encased inside a stone lay a genuine example of ancient advanced technology, dating from millennia before the historical advent of the Homo sapiens.
On February 13, 1961, Wallace Lane, Virginia Maxey and Mike Mikesell, owners of the Gem and Gift Shop in Olancha, California, went into the Coso Mountains to supply the minerals stock for their shop.
To their surprise, in that day they would find not only minerals, but something that may unravel a major conundrum of the ancient human history. In their search for minerals, they stumbled upon an unusual fossil-encrusted geode. Having caught their interest, Mike Mikesell decided to investigate further over the peculiar rock’s structure.
In the process of cutting it open, Mike Mikesell found to his fascination that the geode proved to contain something strange. In the middle of the stone there was a metal core, about 2 millimeters in diameter.
Casing the core was what seemed to be a ceramic collar that was itself sheathed in a hexagonal sleeve carved out of wood that had become petrified, presumably at a later date.
Around the fossilized wooden shell was the exterior layer of the geode consisting of solidified clay, pebbles, scraps of fossilized shells, and two non-magnetic metallic items that seemed identical to a regular nail and washer.
A piece of copper still remaining between the ceramic and the fossilized wood indicates that the two may have been detached by a now decomposed copper sleeve.
X-ray tests of the item brought to light an object that resembles very much to present-days’ spark plugs.
Considering the approximate layering and structure of the outer crust, the object has been dated from 250,000 to 500,000 BC. However, the name of the geologist is either kept a secret or simply not mentioned in any source material.
n an earlier statement from 1961, an INFO member claimed the object had magnetic properties, but a few years later, in 1969, said magnetism was no longer present.
Despite its assumed extraterrestrial origins, the Coso artifact isn’t just a random spark plug encased in a fossil. Its construction clearly reveals that it is very similar to the first superconductors.
After a series of thorough tests and meticulous X-ray analysis of the Coso artifact, it was revealed that the so called geode was actually a form of mechanical device. Its metallic shaft presented rust at one end, but the other end was bound to a metal spring.
The ceramic finish and the copper and metallic inner parts hint at a kind of electrical apparatus. Though it’s very much alike a spark plug, its helix terminal does not relate to any of our days’ spark plugs.
To push the mystery around the Coso artifact even further, some geologists claim that the rock where it was found encased was at least 500.000 years old, because it fossilized in sedimentary rock deposited during the Great Flood.
This artifact is of extreme importance to archaeologists and geologists, for it reveals the antediluvians had attained impressive progress beyond our expectations: they had discovered and learned to manipulate electricity many thousands of years before the reintroduction of this knowledge into our age of civilization.
Like all ancient artifacts that may hold clues to our enigmatic ancient history, the artifact disappeared three years after it was displayed for only three months at the Eastern California Museum of Independence.
To spice these intriguing conspiracy-like events, in September 1999, an attempt to track the missing artifact has proven unsuccessful, having no leads to the whereabouts of the first people that discovered the Coso artifact, although the chances were some of the three people involved in the discovery had died before then. The only one known to be still alive is Virginia Maxey, but she refuses to publicly comment about the artifact.

Seven years after the nuclear detonations in New Mexico, Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, the ‘father of the atomic bomb’ was asked during a lecture if he had been the first person to conduct atomic tests. His reply was: Yes, in modern times.
Although at the time his answer was considered cryptic or at least vague, Dr. Oppenheimer was alluding to a series of ancient Hindu texts that described the occurrence of large-scale catastrophes that did not correspond to any recorded natural disasters. More specifically, he was referring to the Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Sanskrit writing that portrayed the detonation and effects of a powerful “unknown weapon”.
This subject is obstinately avoided by the scientific community but there is evidence supporting events such as this one. This evidence routinely comes in the form of fused glass fragments found in many deserts all over the world. These pieces of glass closely resemble those found at the Alamogordo atomic proving grounds, the place where the modern world’s first nuclear device was detonated. Desert glass forms when temperatures in excess of 3,300 degrees Fahrenheit (1,800º Celsius) cause the sand grains to melt and fuse together.

They were first described by Patrick Clayton who encountered them while surveying the Sahara in 1932. Clayton discovered huge chunks of yellowish-green glass in the sand and presented them to fellow geologists. A possible explanation came almost 50 years later when one of the engineers that helped create the atomic bomb was revisiting the testing site in New Mexico. He noticed glass fragments that were similar to those he had seen in the desert, albeit much smaller.

Being open-minded, he made a connection. Being an engineer, he did the math and was astounded by the results. In order to produce desert glass the size of the pieces found by Clayton, the explosion had to have been 10,000 more powerful than the one in New Mexico. A very plausible explanation was proposed: the glass had formed due to asteroid/comet/giant meteorite impacts. Such impacts would certainly fit the profile as they cold easily produce the tremendous amount of heat required to fuse silicon crystals.
But an impact that great would also leave behind a noticeably large crater and no such craters were found in the desert. Glass was found in the Sahara, the Mojave and the Desert of Libya but neither sonar nor satellite imagery could find any accompanying craters. Furthermore, the Libyan glass had a very high purity and clarity (over 99 percent). In the case of meteorite impact, the silicon is fused together with iron from the meteorite itself as well as other adulterants.
METEORITIC DESERT GLASS
When we piece together all the clues, the picture becomes clearer and we have to ask ourselves: is it truly impossible that ancient civilizations reached a technological level similar to others? Have we truly explored all possibilities? After all, depictions of terrible weapons capable to obliterate entire cities are found in the legends of many cultures, separated by both space and time. Were those depictions nothing more than the work of human imagination envisioning the superlative weapon? What about the physical evidence then? Where does it fit?
In my opinion, considering ourselves the first and only civilization on Earth to have split the atom is nothing short of absolute vanity and we all know where that leads to.
There are many UFO photographs and videos circulating on the web , and although we do not doubt the existence of life on other planets , we can not help but question the veracity of each of the images shown . The Bolsón de Mapimi basin in Mexico is home to a very strange area called La Zona del Silencio – The Silent Zone. Located between the states of Durango, Chihuahua and Coahuila, this area achieved notoriety thanks to a number of unexplained anomalies.
The Zone of Silence first gained attention in the 1930s, when a Mexican airplane pilot named Francisco Sarabia experienced some difficulties while flying over the mysterious patch of desert. The instruments aboard his plane inexplicably started malfunctioning; he couldn’t receive nor send any radio transmissions and the compass had a hard time pointing north. He chalked it off to some disturbances in the local magnetic fields and, for another 30-something years, the issue would remain in obscurity.
Attention was once again drawn to the area in the 1970’s when an Athena test missile was launched from a military base near Green River, Utah. Its destination was the White Sands Proving Grounds in New Mexico. Without warning or explanation, it went 400 miles off course and crashed into the Zona del Silencio. A team of scientists and US Air Force officials were promptly and secretly sent to recover the missile and investigate the region. To their surprise, they ended up discovering several abnormalities.
Careful measurements showed that within the Mapimi basin there is an unspecified, fluctuating area through which radio signals cannot travel. The zone acts like an absorbent barrier for television, radio, short wave, microwave and satellite signals. Despite increasing the intensity of the transmission, these waves simply couldn’t make it through. The name Zone of Silence was quickly adopted and scientific interest brought a number of researchers looking for answers.
With the aid of the U.S., the Mexican government built a research facility whose purpose was to allegedly study the local flora and fauna. It is said that plants and animals in the Zone of Silence suffer strange and unique mutations found nowhere else in the world. But there are rumors claiming that this is just a front for far more secretive and obscure groundwork taking place in the Silent Zone.
One of the odd attributes of the region is its unusually high levels of magnetite and uranium deposits that scientists believe are causing electromagnetic pulses able to disrupt radio signals. It is also a hotbed for meteorites, which could account for the magnetic properties that cause metallic objects to end up falling from the skies. But things still don’t add up.
As it turns out, the Zone of Silence is located on the same latitude as the Egyptian Pyramids, the ill-fated Bermuda Triangle and the sacred cities of Tibet. Mere coincidence or further evidence towards the zone’s peculiar characteristics?
THE STRAIGHT LINE DOESN’T LIE
Some say the area could be a magnetic grid point where the Earth’s energy is concentrated and the unusually high energy levels are drawing in extraterrestrial activity. And if there’s one thing the Zone of Silence has plenty of, it’s unusual occurrences linked to the UFO phenomenon.
Strange lights, floating orbs, burning bushes, flying saucers, and alien encounters have all been reported with a degree of abundance in the area. Locals report mysterious lights filling up the night sky and floating aircraft landing in the desert and causing small, localized fires wherever they touch the ground.
Some theorists proposed the continued existence of a portal in the area. Mexican ranchers tell tales of mysterious lights hovering over the Silent Zone and strangers appearing out of thin air. Multiple witnesses report encountering the same three blonde humans that always asked for water, but never for food. When asked where they were from, the strangers invariably responded that they “came from above.”
As always, tangible evidence was not provided or perhaps is being kept secret. Regardless of the official answers, the area is home to several phenomena that defy explanation. We are left wondering whether the unusual magnetic properties of the Silent Zone are a natural occurrence or are caused by something that we do not yet understand.
