Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

C'est vrai qu'il y a peu de nouvelles importantes actuellement, à part les déclarations sensationnelles du Canadien Paul Hellyer, cent fois répétées, et probable désinfo amplifiante, mais on continue à enregistrer pas mal d'observations à travers le monde. Récemment, l'Américain Peter Davenport, qui continue à recueillir ces observations tous les jours, a signalé une forte augmentation en janvier, de l'ordre de 600 cas au lieu de 2 à 300 habituellement. On peut s'en faire une idée, par exemple, en lisant le bulletion du Major Filer "Filer's File" , publié tous les huit à dix jours. On peut le recevoir gratuitement sur internet.
Une nouvelle quand même, pour la francophonie : le livre de Leslie Kean "OVNIS. Des généraux, des pilotes et des officiels parlent" est enfin paru en librairie. Cela va-t-il susciter un petit buzz médiatique ? J'ai bien peur que non, vu l'ambiance actuelle de scepticisme et de ricanements tous azimuths.Bof ! Rigolons plutôt en écoutant grand journal de Canal Plus. Mais c'est pourtant cette chaîne qui a fait un bon reportage (qui repassait encore samedi dernier sur la petite chaîne Numéro 23 : "Ovnis Quand l'armée enquête"). Donc ce n'est pas "joué" dans les médias.

Witnesses in Missouri and California reporting separate events on February 11, 2014, both describe helicopters chasing UFOs, according to testimony today in cases 54029 and 54034 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
A Missouri witness in Lone Jack was watching television at 6:01 p.m. Central Time, February 11, 2014, when the sound of a “loud helicopter thundering” overhead was heard. He immediately moved to a window facing south and looked outside.
“I saw a black military attack helicopter hauling ass just over my house at or below 300 feet from my roof top,” the witness stated.
But then the witness noticed a second object in the sky.
“It was going east to west and then immediately turned south towards a thin, dark gray, disk object that had a white light modulating from it. The disk appeared less than a mile away heading north when it was as if the helicopter spooked it and it simply made an abrupt left turn heading northwest at an amazing speed towards Kansas City, Missouri.”
The witness observed that the military helicopter was not able to catch up to the disc-shaped object.
"With the black military attack helicopter turning very hard 'almost vertical' around heading northwest in pursuit of it - whatever the object was - it definitely had the ability to out run the military helicopter and disappeared from sight."
Then two hours and 24 minutes later - in Anaheim, California - a witness was inside at a computer at 6:25 p.m. Pacific Time on February 11, 2014, when the sound of a loud helicopter was heard. The witness ran outside to a backyard facing west.
"I saw that the ground in the backyard was lit up pretty good," the witness stated. "I say 'lit up' because it was dark out and we have a patio cover so the sky is somewhat blocked."
But the witness was surprised to see two objects moving overhead.
"As I went out the sliding back door to my right I immediately saw an orb-like, star-shining object that was being chased by a helicopter."
The witness watched the scene.
"The helicopter did have its search light on so I'm guessing that's what the light was. So when I looked up I didn't even see the helicopter at first - all I saw was a bright white orb and then the helicopter. That's how low the two were. I viewed the helicopter chasing the orb (orb made no noise) from the west going toward the east."
The witness was fascinated with the objects.
"I was in awe on just how low these two were in the sky and on how the orb was just so bold and solid and brilliant. It was like a star passing by right in front of me. The helicopter had its blinking red and white lights on with the search light, but when the helicopter shined the light on the orb, it kept going out, or so it seemed."
The witness watched both objects move off into the distance.
"I viewed these two flying toward the east, way off into the distance, and kept viewing for as long as I could when the orb suddenly disappeared for 2 to 4 seconds and then reappeared for another 20 seconds and then disappeared again."
MUFON receives reports every year from around the country where a military jet or helicopter appears to be following or chasing a UFO.
"These types of incidents are certainly something we watch for," said MUFON Executive Director Jan C. Harzan, reached today at his Newport Beach, CA, headquarters office. "Some of the more important historical UFO events include a military presence. And in a small number of cases nationally, we do have reports where a witness will encounter a UFO and then see what appears to be a military jet or helicopter coming into the same airspace. Witnesses in these cases typically report that the military vehicle appears to be chasing the UFO. It is definitely something we watch for because it supports the reality that we believe the U.S. government still investigates UFOs."
Lone Jack is a city in Jackson County, MO, population 1,050. The Missouri incident was Case 54029. Missouri has a UFO Alert Rating of 4 with a higher than average number of recent reports. Missouri was the 10th highest reporting state with 19 reports in January 2014 - while California had 102 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. Anaheim is a city in Orange County, CA, population 336,265. The California incident was Case 54034. No images or videos were included with either case.

US scientists are searching for alien life forms – on Earth
Some U.S. scientists are helping search for evidence of alien life not by looking into outer space, but by studying some rocks right here on Earth.
Some of the rocks are up to 3.5 billion yearsold. The scientists are looking for crucial information to understand how life might have arisen elsewhere in the universe and guide the search for life on Mars one day.
“There’s a story always hidden in rocks,” said geoscientist Clark Johnson, the lead investigator for the Wisconsin Astrobiology Research Consortium. “… It’s up to (geologists) to be clever enough to find the tools that we need to interrogate those rocks to find what story they preserve.”
The University of Wisconsin-Madison project is funded through the U.S. space agency NASA, which provided a $7 million, five-year grant that started in January. It was the group’s second five-year, $7 million grant.
The consortium has been tasked with finding footprints of biological activity, or biosignatures, which are substances such as elements or isotopes that show evidence of ancient life. The scientists are looking for microscopic signs of life, including microbes, which are bacteria, and other tiny, one-celled organisms that are much more adaptable than more complex organisms.
The team is also sending microbes into Earth’s orbit on the

In the process, they are learning more about Earth’s history. They’ve found new details of microbial life that dates back 2 billion to 3 billion years, before the planet’s atmosphere contained oxygen. They’ve found that microbes then relied more on iron than sunlight for energy.
Eventually their work will be used to interpret data beamed back from Mars by the six-wheel spacecraft Curiosity, which landed in August on a two-year mission to determine whether the environment was ever favourable for microbial life. Their work will also be used to prepare for future Mars missions.
“It may be that planets spent a long time in a microbial lifecondition and then only rarely evolved to advanced multicellular complex life,” Johnson said. “That’s one of the hypothesis we would test.”
Edward Goolish, acting director at the NASAAstrobiology Institute, said the project supports one of NASA‘s major goals to find life or the potential for life elsewhere.
The project’s results will provide a quantitative understanding of how life is preserved, he said.
“At the same time (Johnson’s team is) contributing an immense amount to the understanding of life on Earth, which is equally important to astrobiology and science in general,” he said.

A recent newspaper poll found that nearly half of its readers believe that the meteor strike in Russia could be anything from a divine message to UFOs to a US weapons test.
A survey published by the fairly staid Moscow daily Noviye Izvestia found that barely half its readers believe the official report that the blast was caused by a meteor.
According to the newspaper, the other half prefer to believe in an assortment of bizarre explanations, including that the blast was a secretUS weapon test, an off-course ballistic missile, a message from God, a crashing alien spaceship, or even an extraterrestrial trojan horse carrying a deadly space virus to wipe out the Earth, CS Monitor reported.
“Our people remember the Soviet past, when news of disasters was concealed or lied about,” Alexei Grazhdankin, deputy director of the Levada Center, an independent Moscow polling agency said.
“We have no scientific polls on what people think about the Chelyabinsk event last week, but it’s safe to assume the majority of Russians accept that it was a meteorite. However, our past surveys show that up to 25 per cent of Russians do believe in UFOs. A lot of our people just prefer not to accept the safe explanations they were taught at school. Even when all necessary information is available, they don’t want to believe it,” he said.
Scientists insist that they already know most key facts about 10,000-ton iron and stone meteorite — now named Chebarkul, after a city nearest to where the largest fragments landed — that exploded over the Urals city of Chelyabinsk a week ago in a dazzling fireball that released 500 kilotons, the power of 30 Hiroshima A-bombs, about 15 miles above the city.
It was the largest meteorite to make contact with Earth since the vastly more destructive 1908 Tunguskaya event, which involved an estimated 50 megaton blast that leveled an area of almost 800 square miles, and flattened 80-million trees, in a remote part of central Siberia.
For those Russians not prepared to believe in UFOs, a wide variety of other offbeat explanations are available for the Chelyabinsk event.
Russian ultranationalist parliamentarian Vladimir Zhirinovsky, with a nod to the currently strained relations between Russia and the US, has suggested that anti-Russian hardliners in the US staged a secret weapons test over Russia.
About a third of Noviye Izvestia‘s readers said they thought the meteor was actually a Russian missile test gone awry, or perhaps a falling satellite, which was covered up with the official story of a meteorite.
Inevitably perhaps, at least one leading Russian cleric has insisted that the meteor was a message from God, to remind us all of the fragility of life on this world.
And from the trade union newspaper, Trud, the cheery suggestion that the meteorite could be carrying deadly viruses from outer space, possibly the work of malevolent extraterrestrial forces.

White dwarfs may hold the key to finding alien life
At the end of one part of a star’s life, if it’s not massive enough to become a neutron star or black hole – which is the vast majority of stars – it will shed mass and eventually become a very dense type of star known as a white dwarf.
White dwarves are no longer capable of the nuclear fusion that sustains our Sun and most other stars. However, its residual thermal energy is enough to sustain heat for billions of years as it slowly dissipates.
Even white dwarves that areclose in age to that of the universe still retain their heat.
It’s around these slowly dying stars that astronomers now think may show the first signs of life. At least, given the limits of our current technology. That’s the conclusion of researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
“In the quest for extraterrestrial biological signatures, the first stars we study should be white dwarfs,” said theorist Avi Loeb in a CfA press release.
So far, no planets have been found in the “habitable zone” of a white dwarf star – an orbit where liquid water could exist on the surface of the planet. However, the researchers believe that a survey of 500 or so dwarf stars could discover such a planet.
Once such a planet is discovered, the next step belongs to the James Webb Space Telescope, which will launch in 2018. The JWST will have equipment on it capable of determining the chemistry of the atmospheres of alien worlds based on the how the light of its star changes as it passes through.
The benefit of studying white dwarfs, though, is that they give off less light than other types of stars.
As a result, the astronomers demonstrated in their research that the JWST should be able to detect the presence of water vapor and oxygen in an atmosphere in just a few hours of observation.
For planets around other types of stars, such as red dwarfs, observation might take hundreds of hours.
“Although the closest habitable planet might orbit a red dwarf star, the closest one we can easily prove to be life-bearing might orbit a white dwarf,” said Loeb.

The first detection of intelligent extraterrestrial life will likely come within the next quarter-century, a prominent alien hunter predicts.
By 2040 or so, astronomers will have scanned enough star systems to give themselves a great shot of discovering alien-produced electromagneticsignals, said Seth Shostak of the seti (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Mountain View, Calif.
“I think we’ll find E.T. within two dozen years using these sorts of experiments,” Shostak said here Thursday (Feb. 6) during a talk at the 2014 NASAInnovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) symposium at StanfordUniversity. [13 Ways to Hunt Intelligent Alien Life]
“Instead of looking at a few thousand star systems, which is the tally so far, we will have looked at maybe a million star systems” 24 years from now, Shostak said. “A million might be the right number to find something.”
Many potentially habitable worlds
Shostak’s optimism is based partly on observations by NASA’s planet-hunting Kepler space telescope, which has shown that the Milky Way galaxy likely teems with worlds capable of supporting life as we know it.
“The bottom line is, like one in five stars has at least one planet where life might spring up,” Shostak said. “That’s a fantastically large percentage. That means in our galaxy, there’s on the order of tens of billions of Earth-like worlds.”
Shostak and his colleagues think at least some of these worlds host intelligent aliens — beings that have developed the capability to send electromagnetic signals out into the cosmos, as human civilization does every second of every day. So they’re pointing big radio dishes toward the heavens, hoping to detect something produced by living beings.
This search started in 1960, when pioneering astronomer Frank Drake scanned two sun-like stars with an 85-foot-wide (26 meters) West Virginia antenna. It has ramped up considerably over the past half-century, as astronomers have taken advantage of significant advances in electronics and digital technology.
However, getting enough funding to keep scanning the skies is a constant problem. For example, the Allen Telescope Array in northern California — which the seti Institute uses — was designed to consist of 350 radio dishes, but just 42 have been built to date. And the array had to go into hibernation in April 2011 due to budget shortfalls. (It came back online in December of that year after more funding was found.)
The funding situation colors any discussion of seti activities and timelines, Shostak said.
The 24-year estimate, for example, “depends on continued seti funding, which is in dire straits right now,” he told Space.com after his talk at the NIAC symposium.
A three-way race to find life in space
The search for alien life does not focus solely on technological societies, of course. Many other scientists are keying in on simple life forms, which must be distributed much more commonly throughout the universe.
The first evidence of microbial life on Earth, for instance, dates from 3.8 billion years ago — just 700 million years after our planet formed. But it took another 1.7 billion years for multicellular life to evolve. Humans didn’t emerge until 200,000 years ago, and we’ve become a truly technological species in just the last century or so.
Shostak thus views the alien life hunt as a three-way race. The contenders are researchers looking for advanced, intelligent civilizations; scientists scouring solar-system bodies such as Mars and Jupiter’s moon Europa for simple organisms; and researchers focusing on finding signs of microbial life on nearby exoplanets using future instruments such as NASA’s $8.8 billion James Webb Space Telescope, which is scheduled to launch in 2018.
The race may come down to the wire, as Shostak thinks all three approaches could bear fruit in the next few decades.

A few years back in October 2012 my partner and I were in Peru on tour exploring the country. After leaving the Nazca Plain we continued heading south and stopped by a very famous cemetery, discovered in the 1920s, called the Chauchilla Cemetery located in the desert peninsula of Paracas. Although the cemetery was discovered in the 20th century it had not been used for burials since the 9th century. In his chapter for “UFOs,” French Major General Denis Letty reports on the case of Air Force Captain Jean-Pierre Fartek, then a Mirage III pilot, who had seen a UFO in 1979.
s case was most unusual, because the sighting did not occur while he was flying, but had taken place at his home in a village near Dijon, during the day. He and his wife witnessed an oscillating object hovering low to the ground, in front of a row of apple trees. General Letty met with them at the location, and wrote this in his notes during the interview: The object looked like two reversed saucers pressed against each other” The clarity and precision of the shape of the object left no doubt that it was something solid and physical. He provided many more details, as Letty describes.
The similarities between the object described by the three Captains — Guerra,Schultz, and Fartek –- in different countries and in different years, are both suggestive and fascinating. Captain Fartek submitted a report to the Air Guard Station at the base, and he was instructed not to talk about what he saw. Letty writes that Fartek, was very upset by this experience. “He told me when we met that the sighting called into question his perception of what were then called ‘flying saucers,’ because he had never believed in them,” Letty says in his chapter. “Now, he acknowledged to me that after seeing this craft he could no longer doubt their existence. Hearing his testimony, I too did not have any more doubt about the reality of the Phenomenon.
In fact, taken together, I found the Farteks’ testimony so disturbing that I have been preoccupied by the UFO problem ever since. In 1996, after he became a Major, Commander Fartek was interviewed for the COMETA study which I initiated, and even then, after seventeen years, he was still visibly shaken by what he saw.” NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

Geographic Channel study finding that 80 million Americans are certain UFOs exist and that one in 10 believe they’ve spotted one.
“We wanted the pulse on people’s opinions,” says Brad Dancer, senior vice president of research and digital media for National Geographic. “We wanted to get a sense of how Americans view UFOs, what people believe and how mainstream pop culture may or may not be playing into their opinions on it.”
The results are in: Seventeen percent of Americans don’t believe UFOs exist, 36% think they do, and 48% aren’t sure.
The survey was commissioned for National Geographic Channel’s series Chasing UFOs, premiering Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
About 79% of those surveyed think the government has kept information about UFOs a secret from the public, and 55% believe there are real-life Men in Black-style agents who threaten people who spot UFOs.
So what if they stopped by? The survey shows:
22% would try to befriend the alien, 15% would run away, 13% would lock their doors, and only 2% would try to inflict bodily harm.
Nearly 65% think Barack Obama would be better suited than Mitt Romney to handle an alien invasion.

A UFO expert from the USA contacted the Welwyn Hatfield Times to say he believes aliens are working with the USGovernment in an underground base.
Mike Orrell, of San Diego, California, got in touch after readingWelwyn Hatfield Times chief reporter Paul Christian’s online story about UFO hacker Gary McKinnon’s mother, Janice Sharp, from Brookmans Park, writing a book about her battle to halt her son’s extradition.
Mr McKinnon hacked into computers owned by the Pentagon and NASA, and was looking for evidence of UFOs.
Mr Orrell, 56, made some pretty fanciful claims and said he would “sure like to see what Gary saw in those files”.
When asked what information he thought the twoUS departments might hold he said: “I heard reports that he saw evidence that the USGovernment had captured UFOs and was working with aliens in an underground base.”
He added: “It seems with the amount of sightings escalating around the world, that contact may be just around the corner.”
Mr Orrell said he was no stranger to unexplained phenomena, and sent us a snap of a group of UFOs, dubbed ‘The Inaja Formation’, which he snapped in San Diego, in 1990.
Whatever your view on UFOs, I am old enough to remember a certain TV show called The X Files, which had the tagline “the truth is out there”.
Strange lights are reported by security patrol near the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge, a U.S. Air Force base on England's east coast. Just after midnight on December 26, eyewitnesses and radar screens follow an unidentified flying object as it vanishes into the forest. Soldiers are dispatched to the site where they encounter a luminous triangular-shaped craft, ten feet wide and eight feet high. The soldiers chase it into a field when it shoots upward, shining bright lights. The following evening, other soldiers report strange, dancing red lights in the Rendelsham forest.
Part 2: HIGH TIDE: OCTOBER 4, 1967:
18-year-old Norm Smith is driving back from a dance at a local community centre, when he and his friend see an object falling from the sky near the small fishing village. At first, they think it is an airplane about to crash. When they arrive at Shag Harbour, a dozen witnesses report seeing a metallic object hovering over the water and then crashing. A search and rescue team is assembled, and nothing is found but an eerie, yellow glittery foam floating where the object was spotted. An extensive underwater investigation finds nothing strange on the sea floor where the object is last seen.
NSA and CIA have secretly turned America, recently, into East Berlin, while no one was watching.
Snowden's portrait will adorn Mount Rushmore, for Democracy cannot be amended and protected unless there is 'reporting', and when officials violate the Constitution, blatantly, it's all secret, so there's no 'reporting'.
It's 'reporting' that protects democracies.
That's what Snowden did; he saved America from KGB-like hands.
These covert NSA and CIA activities, at home in the U.S.A., are precisely why we hated the Russians during the cold way, for the evil surreptitious things that it did to its own citizens.
But, sometimes, Big Brother is just family, especially when it comes to UFOs.
Aliens have always been here and are as native and terrestrial to our planet as are thunderstorms; they are the game wardens of this preserve that we call 'Earth' and like good game wardens, they do not let the creatures within suspect that it is indeed, a preserve.
Alien greys are subservient to a Mothman race, sentient, highly technological reptilian overlords, monitor- lizard-men, who use the same dimension and portals that ghosts and demons use, to enter and exit our 'reality' dimension.
Many in the UFO community echo other indigestible gleaned truths concerning us and these beings:
Human young are a preferred diet, as we never were the 'top of the food-chain'.
Suddenly these beings' silhouettes emerge: a reptilian masquerade of an ancient reptilian Mayans' 'God', a God who organized a 'religion' that provided him a delicacy he most desired, that of a still-beating human heart.
How is one to grasp UFO nightmarish truth? What would the average Joe, walking around the street, say about this truth, if revealed?
Isn't our government's attitude of denial concerning UFOs suddenly seen as more-than-kind, paternally loving, to seek to protect and shield a barely civilized public from the ontological shock, likely to shatter society?
What's another indigestible UFO/alien E.T. realization gleaned by government and abductees?
We are time/space woven, 'held' and cocooned, within a reptilian computerized time matrix, a contrived-'loop'- dimension, elusive and revealing, far from the Universes' objective "reality".
Those in power, in "OZ", who know, must for all sanity's sake, "Pay no attention to the Reptilians, behind the curtains!"
Is it your imagination to notice unseen portals and traffic, but now take pause, when 'reality', a synthetic computer program, pixilates, for a moment?
If there were no alien/UFO secrets, why are so many agencies responsible for quashing suspicions?
Knowing full well that disclosure of UFO/alien realities would cause religious and social societal disintegration, our government has thoughtfully and parentally organized covert agencies of disinformation to sustain the fabric of societal equilibrium; I herein list only a few:
-The DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (DIA) – Coordinates the intelligence data gathered from the various Armed Services intelligence branches (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Forces), and provides counter-threat measures, which include providing security at ultra-classified installations by the deployment of U.S. "Thought Police," who conduct surveillance, by scientific remote viewing [SRV] and other para-psychological measures, against penetrations and scanning by foreign or civilian remote viewers [clairvoyants/out-of-body seers], at the Pentagon, VA, Fort Meade, MD, and the entire astral plane.
-The NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY (NSA) – Monitors and screens all telephone, telegraph, computer modem, radio, television, cellular, microwave, and satellite communications, and electromagnetic fields "of interest" around the world, and orchestrates information-control and cover-up activities related to UFO secrecy and surveillance of extra-terrestrial operations, Fort Meade, MD.
-The NATIONAL RECONNAISSANCE OFFICE (NRO) – Controls and collects information from global spy satellites, monitors UFO traffic entering and leaving Earth's atmosphere, coordinates firing of energy beam weapons from orbiting Star Wars satellites at selected human ground and airborne targets and selectively at extra-terrestrial craft, Pentagon basement and Dulles Airport area, VA.
-The NATIONAL RECONNAISSANCE ORGANIZATION (NRO) (aka MJ-TF) – The military/intelligence operations arm of the PI-40 Subcommittee, conducts surveillance, interdiction, capture and confiscation of UFOs and their extra-terrestrial occupants for intelligence and "International Security" purposes; surveilles and "interacts" with close encounter experiencers, including occasional physically and sexually assault mind-control kidnappings disguised as "Alien abductions" for psychological warfare and dis-informational purposes, (headquarters unknown), highly compartmented and dispersed among various elite Delta Force Special Operations units, such as the USAF Blue Light at Hurlburt Field, Mary Esther, FL and Beale Air Force Base, Marysville, CA.
-The CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (CIA) – Commands, often controls and sometimes coordinates the gathering of secret overseas information gathered by spies (HUMINT), electronic surveillance (SIGINT), and other means; carries out covert unconstitutional paramilitary counterinsurgency operations and preemptive political pacification projects in violation of international law, as well as counter-intelligence sting operations against foreign agents; engages in domestic surveillance, and manipulation of the U.S.
political process, "in the National interest" in direct violation of its congressional charter; operates proprietary "false front" companies for profit; conducts a major share of international trans-shipment of illegal drugs, using National Security cover and immunity; and cooperates with NSA's UFO cover-up operations, Langley, VA, and worldwide branches.
-The FEDERAL BUREAU of INVESTIGATION: Counter Intelligence Division – The branch which investigates, conducts surveillance and neutralizes foreign Intelligence agents operating within the U.S., and cooperates with the National Reconnaissance Organization in the surveillance of those involved in close encounters with UFOs and extra-terrestrials [EBEs].

Twice upon a time (maybe, even, thrice, upon a time), a tadpole frog who lived by the side of a vast blue-green ocean visited his distant tadpole frog cousin who lived very far away in a deep, small well in a very dark cave.

The essential frog ontological shock that the "image we were created in" wasn't divine, but alien, would make people's heads explode.

Een vreemde S-vorm die voor de kust van West-Australië op de radar verscheen is niet veroorzaakt door bewolking. Dat zegt de Australische meteorologische dienst.
De vorm werd vandaag op zo’n 30 kilometer ten westen van het eiland Rottnest gezien op de radar van het weerbureau.
Neil Bennett van de meteorologische dienst sloot uit dat het fenomeen is veroorzaakt door bewolking. “Er is geen wolk, er is niets wat een neerslagecho kan veroorzaken,” zei hij. “Wolken nemen niet de vorm van een ‘S’ aan.”
Militaire operaties
“De radar die we gebruiken is er voor de detectie van neerslag,” ging Bennett verder. “Een straal raakt de regendruppels of ijsdeeltjes in hagel. Soms wordt de straal gebogen en vang je weerkaatsingen van de oceaan op in plaats van regendruppels.”
Het Australische ministerie van Defensie is gevraagd of er in het gebied militaire operaties worden uitgevoerd die verantwoordelijk kunnen zijn geweest voor de vreemde vorm.
The creatures had humanlike features – the faces of adult humans on childish bodies – but their oval heads had eyes set so close together as to make them resemble the legendary Cyclops. Terrified by the sight, Juan and Héctor broke into a mad dash for the imaginary safety of Zaragoza Street, and the prospect of reaching their home. Héctor tumbled to the ground a few times, weighed down by the contents of his book bag.
There are contradicting sources as to what happened next. In one version, the beings took to the air, flying up and away , enveloped in a white light, as if though having been spotted by the young humans marked the end of their escapade. In another, the boys ran to their home, only to find their mother standing outside, gazing skyward at a strange light in the sky that “looked like the sun” due to its brightness, thinking that “strange birds” were flying in the air toward the light, unaware that they had taken flight precisely from the field that her two children were running home from.
“They frightened us,” said one of the boys, “sent us into a panic. My mother was able to see them from the entrance to our house.”
The mother contacted the authorities and law enforcement agents questioned the boys, asking if they had slept well the night before the incident and if they “knew anything about UFOs or extraterrestrials”, questions to which the youths replied yes and no, respectively. Pressed by the uniformed grown-ups as to what they had seen, one of the brothers piped up: “Some children, but they weren’t like us.”
There was no follow-up to the astonishing account and the percipients were never heard from again, despite the inquiries made by two separate Mexican UFO research groups. For some reason, an alternate date of March 30, 1979 appears as the date of the event in some sources, questioning the veracity of the whole ordeal. The truth of the matter lies with two boys – now men in their Forties – who are probably still trying to put the nightmare behind them.
A Quiet Evening Stroll
The warm temperature and spectacular starry skies on the evening of June 15, 1974 were enough of an enticement to prompt to neighbors – Dolores and Marisa – to go for a nocturnal stroll in their town of Manzalvos, in the Galician province of Ourense (Spain). The two friends had no idea that their spur-of-the-moment constitutional would land them in the pages of the chronicles of the unknown. Veteran ufologist Marcelino Requejo, who had relatives in that community, included the experience in his book OVNIS: Alto Secreto (Ediciones Cydonia, 2009). He was able to pay a visit to the community and interview the experiencers in person.
Inspired by the warm night, the friends decided to walk beyond the outskirts of Manzalvos and enjoy the breathtaking firmament above. As they walked, Dolores and Marisa became aware of two intensely bright red lights descending from the dark sky in complete silence, eventually landing at the foot of a hill a few hundred meters from where they walked. The lights went dark, and the friends were startled to see the appearance of a bright yellow horizontal light in the middle of the darkness. “The light,” writes Requejo, “expanded until it formed a perfect triangle of enormous size.”
The friends were further shocked to see two humanlike silhouettes, perfectly black, emerging from either end of the oblong light, walking slowly toward each other, their paths crossing in the middle of the light and each heading in the opposite direction from which it had first emerged. What astounded Dolores was that the silhouettes walked with the precision of “soldiers standing guard in front of a building.” This maneuver repeated itself for a few minutes while both friends, now patently terrified by the enigma playing out before their eyes, sought shelter behind the corner wall of a village alleyway. Even more astonishing to them was the fact that the luminous oblong shape began to collapse inward on itself, becoming once more a thin, bright light that vanished into the dark. The two powerful red lights reappeared at the either end of what had been the rectangle and slowly rose into the air, before lurching suddenly into the starry night, vanishing out of sight. Both women ran home to tell their relatives about the unsettling and outright bizarre event.
“Two entities,” writes Requejo as a result of his interview with the witnesses, “were walking along the screen in a regular manner. No arms were visible. Their silhouette was entirely dark and their height, estimated at a little more than two meters, was shorter than half the height of the luminous oblong.”
Ufologist Requejo mentions, by way of comparison, other cases similar to the 1974 experience in Galicia, sometimes involving larger groups of witnesses, but featuring the “projection screen” feature witnessed by Dolores and Marisa. While clearly a display of some sort, one wonders if it was aimed at the witnesses, as the humanoid “actors” were oblivious to the presence of witnesses in these cases. It could be another example of the 'pointless' activities that UFO occupants have been seen engaging in since the early days of the phenomenon, ranging from collecting useless specimens of soil to asking terrified humans for the time of day.
Hit the Road, Jack
Up until to the abduction paradigm of the 1990s, it could be argued that a nocturnal road trip through a desolate area in any part of the world was the likeliest location to have a UFO experience – any of the three CE-types – and some researchers of the ‘70s even cautioned their readers to have care when driving alone under such conditions.
This was clearly the case in Chile in 1965, when medics aboard an ambulance on an emergency call became the unwilling witnesses to a brilliant light descending from the night sky, surrounded by a host of lesser, attendant lights, that eventually came to rest upon a plain. As the wary ambulance driver drove on, given the urgency of his mission, he was shocked to find one of the smaller objects intercepting his vehicle on one of the curves on the road. One of the medics would later report seeing – lost amid the glare – what appeared to be “figures moving behind portholes”. Even more disturbing was another medic’s recollection of seeing a creature’s face looking at him through one of the side windows, “being dominated by its eyes”.
Chilean researcher Rodrigo Fuenzalida has looked into his share of these cases, which have made Chile one of the world’s foremost locations for encounters with the unknown for well over fifty years. During a radio interview on the “De La Noche a la Mañana Radio Show” on Radio Cooperativa, the researcher brought up the eerie case of Mr. and Mrs. Juan Munizaga, who were traveling to the coastal city of Viña del Mar in 1983. In their Forties, highly respected and both occupying important jobs, the last thing the Munizagas expected at two thirty a.m. as they drove down Route 68 was to be inducted into the annals of humanoid contact experiences.
At some point along the dark road – the vicinity of Casa Blanca being mentioned – the couple saw figures ahead on the asphalt that they first took to be “horsemen on their respective mounts” riding on the paved surface. As the figures did not make way for the motor vehicle, Mr. Munizaga slowed down, turned on the high beams, and cast light upon creatures standing two and a half meters tall (8.2 ft.) with white hair, enormous eyes and “celestial” tunics “like something out of a Hollywood production”, as they would later describe them.
Even more perplexing was the description of “shoulder pads with electronic circuits that came out of their necks” and the emotionless features of both giants, one of whom the Munizaga’s distinguished as possibly being female by its sharper features and somewhat ruddier complexion. Fuenzalida uses the term “feminoid” to describe the possible giantess, who made her way to the car and looked into the passenger side window, casting her enormous eyes on a terrified Mrs. Munizaga, who curled into a fetal position on the seat in a vain effort to shut herself off from the unknown; Mr. Munizaga is reported to have cursed out loud “why didn’t I bring my revolver with me”.
The encounter with the towering humanoids in their glowing raiment reportedly lasted three minutes, after which one of the beings stood aside and the driver was able to accelerate past them. Mrs. Munizaga looked back and reportedly saw one of the creatures making mechanical gestures with its arm, beckoning them to return.
“These entities,” notes the researcher, “belong to the classification of tall beings in luminous outfits that give off some form of unknown luminous energy. Their morphology is generally human, but their eyes were twice as large as normal human eyes.” Another couple had a similar experience in the same area in 1986, but in this instance, one of the entities raised a hand and caused the automobile to lose all power while its companion performed an “inspection” of the vehicle, walking around it. Once the first creature lowered its hand, the car was restored to normal and able to leave.
But why the absurd behavior of circumambulating a car? “With UFO entities,” writes Hillary Evans in Visions-Apparitions-Alien Vistors, it is not possible to give them the benefit of such a doubt. Their conduct is almost always bafflingly meaningless to our eyes,” despite the fact that the behavior is clearly endowed of some sort of significance. Other authors suggest that these behaviors serve the purpose of misleading the witness, but why?
With the Northern Hemisphere awash in sightings and bedroom invasions of “Grey” entities in the Nineties, it is notable that more traditional – but no less bizarre – events were occurring elsewhere with other non-human types. A 1998 case in Chile involved a family enjoying a day outdoors when they witnessed what they first took to be parachutists coming out of the sky, capturing the event on their camcorder. But no parachutes were ever deployed. The humanoid figures plummeting out of the sky suddenly stopped in mid-air, flying in formation toward the Pacific Coast.
As if this detail wasn’t enough to move the case into the highest ranks of high strangeness, the family remarked that the erstwhile parachutists were gigantic – estimating them to be at least three meters tall and clearly visible in broad daylight. They seemed to be surrounded by a swarm of lesser lights (much like the object seen by the ambulance crew in 1965). Skeptics dismissed the incident saying the figures were “large trash bags sent aloft by local children.” (The video can be seen at YouTube URL http://youtu.be/V95qHv1b0t8) We see in this case a repetition of the “flying humanoids” that terrified the two boys in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, a decade earlier.
Another significant Chilean case from the late Nineties – also from Rodrigo Fuenzalida’s files – includes a “bedroom visitor” that once again, was not one of the multitudinous Greys.
On the evening of February 13, 1997, an unnamed young housewife was getting ready to put her baby daughter to bed before going to bed herself, as her husband worked nights. At one point, the woman heard a “buzzing” sound that came out of nowhere, electrical in nature, and when she glanced over to the bedroom wall, was alarmed to see a humanoid figure with a backpack and helmet materializing on the wall. The witness went to pick up her daughter in terror, as the unearthly figure seemed interested in the child. A curious detail is added: the helmeted non-human appeared to be “confused” –had it materialized in the wrongapartment or time, or the wrong dimension?
The witness heard the buzzing noise again and the bedroom visitor disappeared, leaving behind a strange glow on the wall that remained visible moments alter. The outcome of this experience was hardly a positive one, as the woman refused to return to her apartment: she returned home to her mother and father, suffered a nervous breakdown, and could not be dissuaded from sleeping at the foot of her parents’ bed.
