Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

I am a crane operator in NJ. My partner and I just started up the 250 ton American Crane, and we were talking by the cab standing on the cat walk. I notice a light moving straight up the Hudson River going north. I said to my partner look at that plane it’s moving really fast! We both looked in amazement as the object got closer at incredible speed. It was huge, and it was loosing parts or something, it was definitely burning . As it passed over the World Trade Center it left a puffy cloud, from our point of view it was directly over the towers. As it passed us, I remebered that I had a camera. It was a low resolution digital camera. After I snapped the picture, the object split perfectly into three parts. One went straight, and one went to the right and the other went to the left in perfect synchronization as all three descended. My son was working a few blocks away and he and some others saw it as well, but not the split. Where we were we had the advantage because we were right by the river. Later that day there was a report on the radio that this object was seen as for as South Carolina, and they said it was an old Russian Space Ship. To this day I don’t believe that story. It was never mention again on any news, television or newspaper. It was big! and you can hear it roaring as it went by. On the left of the photo is the edge of the boom of the crane, it had to be about 75 miles or more passed us when I took this picture. Again it was big!

Several residents were disturbed by a loud roaring noise in the early morning and rushed outdoors to see a very low-flying object described as a “jumbo jet” painted red and white which appeared from the northeast, overflew the island, and departed on about a 175 true heading over the horizon. Doors were clearly visible on the flying object and the noise was described as exceptionally loud.
It was suggested that this occurrence might be connected with the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 from Kuala Lumpur which had occurred a few hours earlier that morning; however, analysis of the latter flight’s presumed position seems to indicate that it could not have been in the area at the time.
The incident occurred in an area where low-flying commercial aircraft are never seen, as there is no nearby airport out of which such an airplane could have operated. Air traffic controllers in Malé, some 100 miles to the northeast, confirmed that no known commercial aircraft were operating in the area at the time. The description is inconsistent with any known military aircraft, and the behavior is anomalous for a large jet aircraft, which would have been expected to be at cruise altitude had it transited the area.
The object departed in the direction of Addu Island, but no one there reported observing it. The only land on the projected flight path beyond Addu is the coast of Antarctica, some 4,200 miles to the south (though the path would have passed close to two uninhabited islands enroute, Grande Terre and Heard Island.)
Maldives island residents report sighting of ‘low flying jet’

Residents of the remote Maldives island of Kuda Huvadhoo in Dhaal Atoll have reported seeing a “low flying jumbo jet” on the morning of the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
Whilst the disappearance of the Boeing 777 jet, carrying 239 passengers has left the whole world in bewilderment, several residents of Kuda Huvadhoo told Haveeru on Tuesday that they saw a “low flying jumbo jet” at around 6:15am on March 8.
They said that it was a white aircraft, with red stripes across it – which is what the Malaysia Airlines flights typically look like.
Eyewitnesses from the Kuda Huvadhoo concurred that the aeroplane was travelling North to South-East, towards the Southern tip of the Maldives – Addu. They also noted the incredibly loud noise that the flight made when it flew over the island.
“I’ve never seen a jet flying so low over our island before. We’ve seen seaplanes, but I’m sure that this was not one of those. I could even make out the doors on the plane clearly,” said an eyewitness.
“It’s not just me either, several other residents have reported seeing the exact same thing. Some people got out of their houses to see what was causing the tremendous noise too.”
Mohamed Zaheem, the Island Councilor of Kuda Huvadhoo, said that the residents of the island had spoken about the incident.
A local aviation expert told Haveeru that it is “likely” for MH370 to have flown over the Maldives. The possibility of any aircraft flying over the island at the reported time is extremely low, the expert added.
The Malaysia airlines jet disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board after taking off from Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing. Investigators say it was deliberately diverted off course.
Twenty-six countries are now helping to hunt for the plane after satellite and military radar data projected two huge corridors through which it might have flown.
Satellite data suggests that the last “ping” was recieved from the flight somwhere close to the Maldives and the US naval base on Diego Garcia.
But the Maldives is not amongst the countries that Malaysian authorities had sought help from in its search for the missing jet. Malaysia has listed the countries that it had appealed for assistance: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and France. – Haveeru
GEORGE TOWN (April 4): Questions are being raised in the Maldives while the international search-and-rescue mission for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 continues west of Australia.
Attention is being focused on an object that resembles a fire suppression bottle for aircraft found washed ashore on a beach at the northern Maldivian island of Baarah on March 24.
The website Maldives Finest (www.maldivesfinest.com) has featured a series of reports, together with photographs of the object.
In particular, the website’s editorial stressed that questions are being raised on why the authorities are not releasing updated information on it.
“Are they simply trying to ignore the fact that an object possibly belonging to MH370 has been found? Or the authorities want the world to focus on the depths of massive oceans just to say, at last, the plane may never be found?” the report said.
“We can’t believe Boeing and the Malaysian authorities are not aware of this object. Why have not they said anything so far?” it asked.
“Why are the major news networks not reporting this?”
(Incidentally, the secretive US military base on the atoll of Diego Garcia is about 700km south of Maldives, or just about an hour’s flight for a Boeing 777-200ER like the one operating as MH370.)
The website has also tagged Boeing and MAS on a Tweet button on its page, and is encouraging concerned readers to click on it to tweet the message:
“@Boeing @MAS What happened to the possible Fire Suppression Bottle found washed up on Maldives beach? #MH370 http://goo.gl/i7GYl4.”
MH730 disappeared in the pre-dawn hours of March 8 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing via the South China Sea.
Search operations moved to the Indian Ocean a few days later when it was determined that the plane had made an “air turn-back” through deliberate means.
” Military denies access to object”
Maldivian news portal Haaveru Daily (http://www.haveeru.com.mv) first reported about the object when it was found on March 24.
The residents alerted the police who handed it over to the military.
Haaveru then reported on March 26 that residents had assumed the object to be a bomb or sea mine, but the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said it was not an explosive device.
It also quoted an experienced local aircraft engineer, who wished to remain anonymous, as saying that the object is “very likely” to be a fire suppression bottle from an aircraft, but could not say which type of aircraft without seeing it in person and cross-checking the part number on it.
It was earlier reported that residents of Kudahuvadhoo island further south claimed to have seen a low-flying aircraft of similar size as a Boeing 777 on the morning of March 8.
According to Maldives Finest, the authorities investigated and said the claim was not valid.
On March 27, the website reported that the spokesperson of the MNDF, Major Hussain Ali, had confirmed to it that they are aware of the talk relating object with missing MH370.
Hussain said the MNDF was in touch with the ‘relevant authorities, but declined to confirm when asked if they are in touch with Malaysian authorities or the airline.
“When requested to grant access to our staff to photograph the object, the officer declined to give that chance,” the report stressed.
On March 29, the site attributed unconfirmed reports as saying that the Maldives military had sent pictures of the object to Boeing.
In its latest update on March 31, Maldives Finest said it had contacted Hussain again but could did not get any additional information about the object.
“When asked about pictures being sent to Boeing, the spokesperson said that he can’t confirm that and he does not have any additional update of the investigation,” the report said. – FZ
University lecturer John Hyatt claims he has proof the creatures are real. He says they are residing in the Rossendale Valley, Lancashire. Mr Hyatt has now put his photographs on display at a special exhibition…
My co-worker’s girlfriend had received a picture/text from one of her friends, of a sunset, she had taken in her hometown of Delhi, Ontario on approximately March 28, 2014.
Apparently she hadn’t noticed the object until she had looked at the photo later on.

NIGERIA: A 30-year-old man, simply called Chukwudi has been arrested by the police in Ebonyi State for allegedly killing and beheading his 56-year-old father, Michael, in Egwudinage Obegu village in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state.
He was alleged to have come from Owerri in Imo State where he resides as a mason, used machete and pestle to sever the head of his father, drank his blood and ate-up his neck.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Chris Anyanwu, while parading the suspect before journalists in Abakaliki said the action might not be unconnected with ritual killing, noting that the suspect was still undergoing interrogation to ascertain the reason behind his actions.
According to him: “The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested one Chukwudi, a 30-year-old man for beheading his father, Michael, a 56-year-old man of the same address. The motive behind this gruesome act was not ascertained yet as the suspect is still undergoing interrogation as to why he murdered his father in a cold blood.
“He was arrested on April 1, 2014 and before he was arrested, he was running and waving his machete which he used to cut his father’s head and threatened to kill anybody that moved close to him. Meanwhile, he was over powered and arrested but was caught eating the part of the severed head, after he ate-up the entire neck of the severed head.
“So, when you look at the exhibit head, you would see that he doesn’t even have the neck even though he cut the head on the base of the head you cannot find the neck from the head because he had eaten it up.
“I think it is not unconnected with ritual killing because it does appear he may have been asked to do such a thing but like I said he is undergoing interrogation if he yields, then we will be able to know clearly and why he did the act.
“However, the machete and the pestle with which he committed the crime were recovered from the scene of the incident and the headless body and severed head were deposited at the mortuary at Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki for autopsy.
“The suspect will been arraigned in court for prosecution.”
But the suspect, in an interview said he committed the act but blamed his action on a voice that directed him to go home and kill his father.
“I’m living at Owerri in Imo and I am a mason. A voice came to me, threatening me to go home and kill my father and I immediately rushed home and used machete to kill my father,” he said. – Sun News Oline
9-month old arrested for attempted murder in Pakistan
LAHORE, Pakistan — A 9-month-old boy was arrested for attempted murder, according to authorities in Pakistan.
The baby’s grandfather took him to court where a judge granted him bail and told police to “record his statement.”
The child was arrested with his father and more than two dozen others for reportedly attacking police officers during a protest over a lack of electricity in their neighborhood.
Police later said the whole ordeal was a misunderstanding.
The charges were dropped and the officer who arrested the child was suspended. – KHOU
Owners of a trail camera were perplexed when they discovered it had taken photos of strange lights on the night of February 16.
Rainer and Edith Shattles live on 150 acres in the Cumbest Bluff area of Jackson County, Mississippi. They have trail cameras set up around the property to view the various wildlife regularly seen in the area. The cameras took photos of deer on February 16, but strange lights appear in some of the photos.

The timeline of the pictures is clear. At 7:24pm, deer appear and all is normal. At 7:29, a dim light appears. At 7:35, it gets brighter. Then at 7:53, a weird shape appears on the camera. The deer are lit up brightly, but how? The cameras are infrared and don’t emit light. At 7:56, another sharper light appears, then it gets much closer, seemingly focused on the deer. It looks like headlights, but well off the ground and there is no road. It then flies away.

Mr. Shattles is puzzled by the mysterious lights, but he doesn’t think extraterrestrials are responsible. He explains to WLOX, “Well, if it’s alien, I’m not sure about that. But it’s definitely a UFO. Now whether it’s a government drone or what, I wish if nothing else, one of them would step up and say, ‘Yes, that’s ours.’”
I am what you could call a “UFO Contactee.” I experienced several strange happenings that I really couldn’t understand from 2 or 3 years old (1939 or 1940) until age 48/49 (1986/1987).
During those several months in the latter part of ‘86 and early part of ‘87, I spontaneously recalled an enormous number of so-called UFO encounters that had occurred since my very early childhood. I found some witnesses who could verify some of my memories, people who had been with me during several of the strange encounters. Through conversation, they and I concluded that most of our mutual memories were true and accurate.
I have since analyzed my other UFO memories carefully and also, through investigation, have discovered an enormous number of supporting facts and happenings. This has led me to believe all of my memories are true and accurate, save a few misinterpretations.
In a nut shell, this is 46 plus years of periodic personal UFO contact, which obviously brings us to the question of meaning…not only for me, but all of humankind.
Throughout the last 28 years I have found that many others also have experienced similar UFO encounters, primarily during the last half of the Twentieth Century…and still others, most probably, dating back to the beginning of time, possibly beyond humankind’s existence on Earth. If true (and at this late date, it surely does seem to be true), all of this can give us unprecedented insight into the meaning of life itself, informally and formally…in and beyond the fields of science, religion and history.
UFO Connections To Our Human Culture
First, if so-called UFOs truly have been with us since the beginning of time, it seems obvious on the surface that they most likely have influenced our culture, or possibly have been an integral part of our collective development or progress…and in some cases our personal progress. They at least have affected us in ways that most of us don’t yet understand. Without getting into extensive proofs and supporting information, it seems obvious to me that what I experienced was also experienced in ancient history and prehistory. The phenomenon I and others experienced, for instance, is described somewhat perfectly in The Bible from Genesis through Revelations and in other historic writings and documents. However, I don’t believe what we encountered was nearly as profound or important. This especially includes Zechariah Sitchin’s Earth Chronicles and the ancient Egyptian, Babylonian and Greek texts, etc.
Secondly, it is obvious to me that “they” were an integral part of my life, periodically appearing and influencing me at some normal and critical times in my life.
- For instance, they took a neighbor boy and me up into what I call “the large object” (what appeared to be a futuristic airliner) when I was about three years old (1940). There they told me they were here to change humankind and the way they did it was to enlist help from people like me…etc, etc, etc.
- At about 13 years old (1950), they somewhat initiated me through ceremonial routines that were related to Ancient Egypt and the Masonic Order, etc, etc. They told me at that time that the small alligator-like beings were in charge of my life-long education and development.
- Passing from Junior High School into Senior High School, they told me that I would go to college and be an “engineer” and that I had better get used to the idea.
- At other times they told me that we, they and I, would communicate through ESP, etc.
- …all of this among many other things.
In June of 1957 my friend and I were told that “they” were the monitors or keepers of the Earth who were responsible to a hierarchy, etc, etc. We met historic inventors who displayed their inventions, and it was indicated that “they” worked with the inventors to help develop new devices, etc, for the betterment of humankind, etc. “They” indicated that this sort of thing had been done throughout the centuries.
Especially during the 1950s (and at other times) I and those people who were with me (normally just one person) experienced time travels where we were taken into the future and shown and told what we would do in the future…at times receiving information that involved minute technical details. We traveled with who I call “the familiar strangers” who were humans. Astonishingly after my 1986/1987 recollections, I met those same “familiar strangers.” We compared information and found that some of us had been shown and told some of the exact same things during our respective so-called UFO encounters. (It was amazing!) It involved what I call the ET/human “project” to be developed in Nebraska and some adjacent states. It involves helping others, especially orphans, etc, etc.
Observations concerning the particular mysterious way the craft, beings and what seemed to be normal but mysterious men arrived near us during the encounters…coupled with the new discoveries in advanced Physics and Quantum Mechanics…indicates that they were “multidimensional” or from another dimension that was somehow overlapped on our three dimensional time/space reality. They, not I nor those with me, caused it all to occur.
Others and I experienced many more encounters and I received much more detailed information.
Considering many other reported happenings, much more information, and that many other so-called “UFO Contactees” have experienced similar encounters, I can only concluded that UFOs …and the mysterious intelligences who are connected to the craft… lie at the very core of our human culture.
If this is the actual case, the implications are awesome. If people could truly know this and very earnestly consider the best qualities of human experience, I believe we can solve an enormous number of cultural problems, including lawlessness and all kinds of unnecessary human suffering.

De Amerikaanse oud-president was woensdagavond te gast in de talkshow ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’. Hij kwam er niet om een antwoord te geven op de vraag of zijn vrouw Hillary nu kandidate zal zijn om in 2016 president van de Verenigde Staten te worden, maar hij sprak wel over zijn fascinatie voor buitenaards leven.
Clinton gaf toe dat hij tijdens zijn presidentschap enkele van zijn medewerkers Area 51, de beroemde militaire basis die vaak gelinkt wordt aan buitenaardse activiteiten, had laten onderzoeken. “Om er zeker van te zijn dat er geen buitenaardsen aanwezig waren,” aldus de voormalige president.
Hij deed hetzelfde met Roswell, het plaatsje waar in 1947 een UFO is neergestort. “Maar zou je het ons wel zeggen als daar buitenaardsen zijn geweest?” vroeg Jimmy Kimmel. “Jazeker,” antwoordde Clinton.
De oud-president denkt dat in het universum wel ander leven moet zijn. “Als we op een dag bezocht zouden worden door buitenaardsen, zou ik niet verbaasd zijn,” zei Clinton. “Ik hoop alleen niet dat het er aan toe gaat als in Independence Day. Al kan dat misschien wel de enige manier zijn om alle mensen hun geschillen te laten bijleggen en dat de gezamenlijke vijand ervoor zorgt dat we allemaal één front zullen gaan vormen.”
Het lijkt er sterk op dat iedere Amerikaanse president dit standaardriedeltje gebruikt. Tijdens een toespraak bij de Verenigde Naties in 1987 sprak toenmalig president Ronald Reagan nagenoeg dezelfde woorden: “Wellicht is een dreiging van buitenaf nodig om te beseffen dat we een gemeenschappelijke band hebben. Stel je voor hoe snel wereldwijde verschillen zouden verdwijnen als we worden geconfronteerd met een buitenaardse dreiging.”
Tijdens zijn tweede ambtstermijn zei Bill Clinton tegen zijn vriend Webster Hubbell: “Als ik je bij het ministerie van Justitie neerzet, wil ik dat je op zoek gaat naar het antwoord op twee vragen. Eén, wie JFK heeft vermoord. En twee, of er UFO’s zijn.” Hubbell ging op onderzoek uit, maar was niet tevreden met de antwoorden die hij kreeg.
De regering Clinton werkte ook samen met Laurance Rockefeller om informatie over buitenaardsen naar buiten te krijgen. Uit interne stukken is gebleken dat Rockefeller samen met medewerkers van Clinton werkte aan een document getiteld ‘Lifting Secrecy on Information About Extraterrestrial Intelligence as Part of the Current Classification Review’. Over de samenwerking met Rockefeller werd nooit openlijk gesproken.
John Podesta was tijdens het presidentschap van Bill Clinton stafchef van het Witte Huis. Hij is op dit moment één van de adviseurs van president Obama. In 2002 zei Podesta tijdens een conferentie in Washington DC: “Het wordt tijd dat de overheid 25 jaar oude geheime stukken vrijgeeft zodat wetenschappers de werkelijke aard van dit fenomeen kunnen vaststellen.”

Nowadays, when the media reaches out to the US government for a quote on a UFO story, the response is a polite “no comment”, referral to a dismissive statement on the Department of Defense website, and the suggestion that people interested in the subject should contact civilian UFO organizations. It wasn’t always like this. Back in the forties, fifties and sixties, the issue was taken seriously by the United States Air Force and the Pentagon, and the subject even attracted congressional and presidential interest. It’s probably a story that DOD press officers would prefer to gloss over, but it’s a fascinating piece of Cold War history and it shines a light on an era when Hollywood sci-fi movies led many people to believe that an alien invasion was just as likely as a Soviet invasion.
Throughout human history, people have seen strange things in the skies. Meteors and fireballs were once seen as signs from the gods. But the modern UFO phenomenon dates back to the Second World War, when pilots on bombing missions reported strange balls of light (and sometimes unusual aircraft) following their planes. Allied pilots thought they were some sort of Axis secret weapon, but there was no apparent hostility and after the war it transpired that Axis pilots had seen similar things. These objects were dubbed “Foo Fighters.”
On June 24, 1947, a light aircraft pilot called Kenneth Arnold saw nine delta-shaped craft flying over the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. He described how they moved in a strange, jerky fashion, “like a saucer skipped across water.” The media coined the phrase “flying saucer,” and reports were soon coming in from all over America— and indeed from all around the world. A modern mystery was born.

Via Wikimedia Commons. A couple of weeks later, in early July, a rancher in New Mexico noticed some strange debris on his land and contacted the local military base at Roswell. The debris was taken back to the base and the military drew up a press release suggesting that the flying saucer mystery was about to be solved: “The many rumors regarding the flying disk became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disk,” the text began. The story was picked up by numerous media outlets, yet in a move that gave rise to conspiracy theories that persist to this day, within 24 hours a retraction was put out, with the military authorities stating that a mistake had been made and that the debris had been from a crashed weather balloon.
Roswell quickly faded from public consciousness, in a way that would never be possible now, given the internet, new media, and social networking sites. The story was largely forgotten until some of the original military witnesses started telling their stories in the late seventies. But back in 1947, while Roswell faded from memories, the flying saucer phenomenon did not. Sightings came in thick and fast, and the United States Air Force set up a small team to investigate. The thinking was that these objects were more likely to be Russian than Martian. Indeed, fears that UFOs might be foreign military aircraft underpinned official interest in the subject in countries all around the world.
The USAF’s program to look into the flying saucer phenomenon was codenamed Project Sign. This was later changed to Project Grudge, and in a final alteration, in 1953, became Project Blue Book. One of Project Blue Book’s most far-reaching decisions was to invent a more scientific-sounding term for the phenomenon than “flying saucer”. “Unidentified Flying Object” was chosen, and was soon abbreviated to the more familiar UFO.
Over the course of its existence, this USAF program investigated 12,618 UFO sightings. Most turned out to be misidentifications of ordinary objects or phenomena such as aircraft lights, bright stars and planets, meteors, weather balloons, or swamp gas. There were a few hoaxes too. But there were some more interesting cases, including ones where UFOs were seen (and sometimes chased) by military pilots, and where visual sightings were corroborated by radar evidence. Over the life of the project, 701 sightings were formally categorized as “unexplained.”
Over two weekends in July 1952, flying saucer fever hit Washington D.C., with air traffic controllers at Washington National Airport and Andrews Air Force Base sighting uncorrelated targets on their screens. There were visual sightings from military personnel, and air force jets were vectored to try to intercept the mystery objects. The sightings made headlines all over America, and public interest was at an all-time high. Speculation was rife and there were even rumors that a shoot-down order had been issued. President Harry Truman called the head of Project Blue Book to demand an explanation. The Pentagon was forced to hold a press conference, which was the largest and best-attended press conference since the end of the Second World War. The official explanation put forward was that the radar signals had been false returns, generated by a temperature inversion. The visual sightings were dismissed as misidentifications of aircraft lights, stars or meteors, but not everyone believed the official story.
One reason for the media and public fascination with the UFO mystery was the influence of science fiction. Hollywood movies such as The Day the Earth Stood Still popularized the idea that UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin, and a whole host of other sci-fi films such as Invaders from Mars and Earth vs. the Flying Saucers raised the specter of an alien invasion. The public was certainly open to such a possibility; while it predated the flying saucer/UFO era, the 1938 radio dramatization of the classic H.G. Wells sci-fi novel The War of the Worlds (narrated and directed by a young Orson Welles) caused widespread panic as some listeners thought the Martian invasion being described was real. Fear of the outsider is arguably hardwired into human beings, and extraterrestrials were the ultimate outsiders.
The USAF stance in relation to UFOs was notoriously defensive. This, coupled with the inherent secrecy of the military, led to the suspicion that the government was not telling the truth about UFOs. This suspicion (fueled by a combination of Hollywood movies and Cold War paranoia) led directly to the spaceship-in-a-hangar trope that one sees in modern UFO belief. Ufologists (as they like to call themselves) treat The X-Files as if it was a documentary. The ultimate irony is that to date, the only proven government conspiracy in relation to the subject was a CIA/USAF initiative to encourage belief in UFOs. This was on the basis that it was helpful if sightings of spy planes like the U2 and the SR-71 were reported as flying saucers, and thus written off by the mainstream media—and hopefully by Soviet intelligence officers too.
Belief and interest in UFOs was never confined to the public. There have been two formal Congressional hearings on UFOs; one by the House Armed Services Committee in 1966, and another by the House Science and Astronautics Committee in 1968. In later years, two presidents— Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan— went on the record stating that they had seen UFOs.
Project Blue Book was terminated at the end of 1969, after an independent University of Colorado review. By that time, the USAF’s corporate irritation with the subject was substantial, and the review certainly gave military bosses the answer they wanted to hear: no UFO sightings had been assessed as a threat to national security, and there was certainly no evidence that UFOs were extraterrestrial. There were, in short, plenty of better things on which to spend taxpayers’ dollars.
The story didn’t end in 1969, of course. UFOs continue to be seen, and the subject generates a steady stream of news stories, TV documentaries and sci-fi movies. But the government no longer investigates UFOs, and gone are the days when they were the subject of press conferences at the Pentagon, congressional hearings, and presidential inquiries. It’s really rather a pity, because I suspect it made government just a little bit more interesting and fun than it is these days.

Bill Clinton has a novel vision of how to attain world peace — an attack by villainous space aliens.
The former president said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday that an invasion by extraterrestrials might be the best way to unite the fractious countries of our war-wracked planet.
“It may be the only way to unite this increasingly divided world of ours … think about all the differences among people of Earth would seem small if we feel threatened by a space invader. That’s the whole theory of ‘Independence Day,’” he said, referring to the hit 1996 sci-fi disaster flick.
“Everybody gets together and makes nice.”
Bubba’s spaced-out comments came during a discussion with Kimmel in which the former two-term president revealed he had an obsession with space aliens during his stint in the White House.
Clinton said that soon after his inauguration, he assigned staffers to eyeball the Nevada military facility called Area 51, “to make sure there was no alien down there.”
His staff also boned up on Roswell, NM, where a UFO was supposedly sighted in 1947.
“I had all the Roswell papers reviewed — everything,” he told the bemused Kimmel.
“If you saw that there were aliens there, would you tell us?” the host asked.
“Yeah,” replied Clinton.
The former president — who famously admitted smoking pot as a student but claimed he never inhaled — said the sudden appearance of little green men wouldn’t surprise him at all given the vastness of the universe and continuing discovery of new planets.
“If we were visited someday, I wouldn’t be surprised,” Clinton said.

Een OOPArt of ‘out-of-place artifact’ is een voorwerp dat gevonden is in ongebruikelijke aardlagen of tussen andere voorwerpen die thuishoren in een bepaald tijdperk, maar waar het betreffende voorwerp niet hoort. Een hypothetisch voorbeeld van een OOPArt is een laptop die men tussen de mummies vindt in een oud-Egyptisch graf.
In 1934 werd in de plaats London in de Amerikaanse staat Texas een hamer gevonden in een laag steen. Het gesteente is naar verluidt meer dan 100 miljoen jaar oud, wat betekent dat de hamer is gemaakt voordat er mensen waren om een dergelijk voorwerp te vervaardigen.
De hamer kwam in de jaren tachtig in handen van Carl Baugh. Hij speculeerde dat de atmosferische omstandigheden 100 miljoen jaar geleden hebben geleid tot een ras van reuzen. De hamer ligt nu in Baughs Creation Evidence Museum, waar replica’s worden verkocht aan bezoekers.
Baugh liet het artefact analyseren door het Battelle Laboratory in de staat Ohio. In hetzelfde lab zijn maanstenen van de NASA onderzocht. De hamer heeft een ongewone samenstelling: 96,6 procent ijzer, 2,6 procent chloor, 0,76 procent zwavel en geen koolstof.
De afwezigheid van koolstof is vreemd. Chloor wordt normaal gesproken niet aangetroffen in ijzer. In het ijzer zijn geen luchtbelletjes gevonden. De hamer bevat een laag ijzeroxide die roest voorkomt.
Scepticus Glen J. Kuban zei dat het gesteente materiaal kan bevatten wat meer dan 100 miljoen jaar oud is, maar dat het gesteente rond de hamer mogelijk een stuk jonger is. Rond artefacten vormt zich soms een laag kalksteen die niet ouder is dan 200 jaar.
Rond de hamer zijn echter fossielen gevonden die deel uitmaken van de oorspronkelijke formatie. De fossielen zijn niet aangetast. Dit zou erop kunnen wijzen dat de fossielen en de hamer uit dezelfde periode stammen. Koolstofdatering van de hamer in de jaren negentig leverde weinig op omdat de monsters besmet zouden zijn met recent organisch materiaal.
Het voorwerp is gevonden door een wandelaar en lag op een richel. Mogelijk is het losgekomen uit een grotere formatie. Baugh verklaarde dat een deel van het houten handvat van de hamer door de tijd heen in steenkool is veranderd. Op foto’s van de hamer is een zwart gedeelte te zien wat steenkool zou kunnen zijn. Dit is één van de vele objecten die ‘out of place’ zijn. Binnenkort zullen er meer van deze OOPArts voorbij komen.

Er zijn vele tientallen rapporten van UFO-crashes, maar slechts weinig incidenten bereiken het grote publiek. In 1976 leidde een UFO-crash in de Golf van Mexico tot een confrontatie tussen de Verenigde Staten en Mexico. Rond 1800 werd in een boerendorp een openbare begrafenis gehouden voor de buitenaardse piloot van een gecrashte vliegende schotel.
In Kecksburg in de Amerikaanse staat Pennsylvania gaat een man op zoek naar de waarheid achter een UFO-crash in 1965. Wie verdoezelt het bewijs voor UFO-crashes en hoever is men bereid te gaan om de waarheid te verhullen?
YouTube video Parachutespringer Anders Helstrup heeft een goede beschermengel. Tijdens een sprong met andere skydivers in het zuid-oosten van Noorwegen ontsnapte hij nipt aan een botsing met een neerstortend object, zo goed als zeker een meteoriet, zo meldden verschillende media.
Het voorwerp passeerde de Noor rakelings net nadat hij zijn parachute had geopend. Een camera op de helm van de skydiver filmde de val van de steen, die met een snelheid van ongeveer 480 kilometer per uur langs Helstrup zoefde.
Volgens geoloog Hans Amundson, die nog met de NASA heeft samengewerkt, is het object dat Amundson op een haar na miste duidelijk een meteoriet en zijn de videobeelden uniek. "Het voorwerp kan niets anders zijn dan een meteoriet. De vorm is typisch: een vers breukvlak aan één zijde, terwijl de andere kant is afgerond."
Amundson stelt dat het gaat om een meteoriet in de 'dark flight'. Dat is de fase in de vlucht waarbij de ruimtesteen niet meer roodgloeiend is, maar donkerbruin of zwart. Het zou de eerste keer zijn dat een meteoriet in deze staat wordt vastgelegd op film.
Inmiddels ligt de focus op het vinden van de meteoriet van Helstrup. Experts hebben berekend waar de steen zich moet bevinden, waardoor ze het gebied hebben afgebakend tot honderd vierkante meter. De zoektocht valt echter niet mee, gezien het om onherbergzaam terrein gaat.
De parachutespringer zelf was zich tijdens z'n sprong niet bewust van de primeur. "Ik had wel het gevoel dat er 'iets' aan de hand was, maar ik wist niet wat", klinkt het in Daily Mail. Pas achteraf ontdekte Helstrup hoeveel mazzel hij heeft gehad.

67-year old Joao Inacio Ribeiro was walking along the oceanfront when he saw a circular object about 10 meters in diameter approach from the sea. It had brilliant blue, yellow, green, and lilac colored lights. On its upper section it had a sort of cabin or cupola with 3 circular windows. T…he craft approached, stopped, and hovered above the waters, causing the area directly below the object to become agitated and choppy. Ribeiro then saw two short humanoids appear on top of the craft. The figures were about 1 meter in height, and wore gray colored tight fitting outfits. The beings were baldheaded, with small noses and mouths and huge black eyes. One carried something resembling a walking cane; the other had what appeared to be a vacuum cleaner like object. Both beings then began operating the vacuum like object seemingly extracting water from the ocean. After 10 minutes they re-entered the object. Moments later the object descended to 10 meters above the waters causing them to become even more turbulent, creating large waves and foam. Afraid Ribeiro ran home.

Renato Longato had gone on an excursion with a group of friends in the Andes foothills and was walking alone picking up some stones for his collection. Suddenly the area became different. Somehow the noise of the birds and the wind stopped for a while and it seemed that he was inside a “big bubble.” A homogeneous ligh…t form appeared in front of Longato, it then transformed into a body shape and then into a human like being. The being was about 6-foot tall with delicate gray hair, strong cheeks, and hypnotic eyes that inspired harmony and respect. He wore a bright uniform that covered him from his neck to his toes. The witness felt suddenly very calm and heard a voice inside of him “We are watching you, Amurac, continue what you are doing…will see you again.” The figure then suddenly disappeared and everything came back to normal. Longato then looked up and saw a brilliant object flying over the mountains.

Oopart (out of place artifact) is a term applied to dozens of prehistoric objects found in various places around the world that seem to show a level of technological advancement incongruous with the times in which they were made. Ooparts often frustrate conventional scientists, delight adventurous investigators open to alternative theories, and spark debate.
A hammer was found in London, Texas, in 1934 encased in stone that had formed around it. The rock surrounding the hammer is said to be more than 100 million years old, suggesting the hammer was made well before humans who could have made such an object are thought to have existed.
Much mystery surrounds the so-called “London Hammer.”
Carl Baugh, who is in possession of the artifact, announced that it was tested by Battelle Laboratory in Columbus, Ohio, a lab that has tested moon rocks for NASA. The tests found the hammer to have unusual metallurgy—96.6 percent iron, 2.6 percent chlorine, 0.74 percent sulfur, and no carbon.
Carbon is usually what strengthens brittle iron, so it is strange that carbon is absent. Chlorine is not usually found in iron. The iron shows a high degree of craftsmanship without bubbles in the metal. Furthermore, it is said to be coated in an iron oxide that would not readily form under natural conditions and which prevents rust.
Glen J. Kuban, a vocal skeptic of Baugh’s hammer claims, wrote in a 1997 paper titled “The London Hammer: An Alleged Out-of-Place Artifact,” that the tests may have been conducted privately rather than at Battelle Laboratory. He cites a 1985 issue of the magazine Creation Ex Nihilo. Epoch Times contacted Battelle Laboratory to verify. A spokeswoman said she had not heard of the hammer in her 15 years at the lab, but she would check into it.
Kuban said the stone may contain materials that are more than 100 million years old, but that doesn’t mean the rock formed around the hammer so long ago. Some limestone has formed around artifacts known to be from the 20th century, so rocks can sometimes form fairly quickly.
Baugh’s website says, however, that the fossils in the stone surrounding the hammer “retain fine detail, indicating that they were not reworked, but [are] part of the original formation.” This would suggest the fossils and the hammer are from the same time period, that the fossils did not just get mixed up in materials that formed rock around the hammer at a later date.
Carbon dating performed in the late 1990s “showed inconclusive dates ranging from the present to 700 years ago,” Baugh supporter David Lines reported at the time. According to Kuban, Lines said the test had been contaminated by more recent organic substances. Such contamination is one of the reasons Baugh is said to have delayed having the artifact carbon dated (skeptics say he delayed because he feared being proved wrong). Dating is often called into question on both sides—by skeptics and proponents—for various reasons when it comes to ooparts.
The object was found by a hiker, and it seems it was not found embedded in the original layer of rock, which would have made a stronger case for an ancient origin. It was a chunk of rock found resting on a ledge, perhaps having tumbled there from within a larger formation.
As evidence of the hammer’s age, Baugh said part of the wooden handle had turned to coal. The photos of the hammer show a black part of the hammer that looks like it could be coal.
The debate surrounding the hammer’s origin has become bound up with the creationism versus evolutionism debate. Baugh is a creationist. Kuban is a creationist-turned-skeptic (or a much more moderate creationist). Various creationist organizations take different stances on this artifact, and many evolutionists dismiss it as a creationist hoax. But the object remains a fascinating one apart from its role in this controversy.
