Mr. Rible, and his daughter, Jean, took out the family car for a trip around the neighborhood in the hope of glimpsing some unusual lights. They had been seen earlier by Mrs. Rible who described them as “flitting around at low altitude”. The Rible home is in a sparsely populated area of scattered hous…es and farms. It is also a mile from a private airfield used by Cessnas and other light aircraft. The Rible family is familiar with night flying, and the lights seen by Mrs. Rible did not in any way conform to those seen at night on aircraft in the vicinity. It was the curious behavior of the unusual maneuvering lights that persuaded Mr. Rible and Jean to take the car and investigate them. They saw nothing at first as they drove around the back roads of the Butler area, and decided to pull off the road, switch off the lights of their Volkswagen, and await events. They had been parked for a few minutes when Mr. Rible who had stepped out of the car for a better view, spotted two globes of light about a mile down the road and about 200ft up. They had a clear view of the lights which, when first observed, looked slightly smaller than the full moon appear to the naked eye. The objects traveled towards the Ribles, flying parallel to each other, and a little way apart. When about half a mile away, they changed places, but maintained the same parallel course, the same distance apart. But they now looked considerably larger, and although they shone yellow-white, they did not light up the area over which they traveled. Both Mr. Rible and his daughter first thought they were observing two private aircraft, each with a landing light, coming to touch down on the highway where the car was parked; but there were several factors against this. There was no noise, private aircraft carry much smaller lights; and tight formation on a pitch-black night, culminating in a landing on an unlit narrow highway, was unlikely to be done, even by an experienced stuntman. The Ribles watched with increasing concern as the two globes of light appeared to land on the road a quarter of a mile away from them, at the foot of the gradient. They came up the slope at an estimated 70-80 mph, looking like lights of two motorcycles racing along, ten feet apart. While Mr. Rible stood paralyzed with fright next to the Volkswagen, Jean yelled to her father, “Oh my God!” They’re coming right at the car!” Mr. Rible reached in through the car window and flicked on the headlights. The strange lights continued to approach on a collision course with the car—and then, fifty yards away from it, they vanished into thin air. The Ribles, crouching, tensed and bracing themselves for what they believed to be the inevitable impact, saw to their astonishment, a few yards away from the bonnet of their Volkswagen, a group of five figures, standing somewhat irregularly in a semi-circle. This was an additional shock which prompted them to swift action. Within a few seconds the Ribles were back in their car. While her father was busy starting the car and reversing. Jean got a good look at the humanoids. According to her they stood there, about 10 ft from the car. They looked like human beings, but their faces were totally devoid of expression, and unlike a human face. Their eyes, if you could call them such, were horizontal slits about the length of the forefinger and thumb. She could not see any irises or pupils—just slits. Their noses were narrow and pointed, not unlike a human nose, and their mouths were slits like the eyes. Four of the figures were about 5ft 7” tall, and the fifth was considerably shorter—about 5ft. all wore caps with a flat top, non unlike baseball caps, beneath which blond hair was showing. The hair of the four taller figures was ear-length. The shorter humanoid had hair falling to the shoulders—she thought it might have been a woman. She didn’t get a good look at the ears. All five were dressed alike, somewhat sloppily, in gray-green shirts and trousers, not unlike a hunter’s outfit. The shirts, which were open at the neck, were worn outside the trousers. Everything was loose-fitting. The skin on their faces and hands was rough-looking—it resembled scar tissue or skin which has been severely burned. “It gave us the creeps, seeing them just stand there doing nothing” said the witnesses. They heard no noise in connection with either the lights or the figures. Mr. Rible nearly broke the door handle trying to get into the car. When they started the engine, they had to reverse and then go forward and around the figures, to miss them. Under questioning Jean mentioned another point which she had at first deliberately refrained from mentioning. As the lights swiftly approached the car, coming down the road, she heard a chorus of voices in her head—not with her ears, but she seemed to sense them in her brain. The voices said, “Don’t move…don’t move…don’t move…” They kept repeating “Don’t move…but they dragged it out—Doooooonnnnnttttt mooooooovvveeee.” When the lights vanished, the voices stopped at once. Mr. Rible did not ‘hear’ the voices.

A professional stopped his car to watch a metallic top shaped craft with a transparent section hovering over the road. Inside he was able to see up to 25 apparently naked smiling humanoids standing around. These were about 4-foot tall with large elongated heads, topped with short-cropped dark hair. The humanoids appeared to be smiling and had normal looking eyes and noses, and large pointed ears. They had… long dangling arms with large hands. The craft took off after a few minutes, that same evening witnesses watched moving lights in the sky in the same area.

Sara Bajc, de vriendin van één van de vermiste passagiers aan boord van vlucht MH370, roept getuigen op informatie over de kaping van de Boeing 777 van Malaysia Airlines naar buiten te brengen.
Bajc heeft zich aangesloten bij drie onafhankelijke initiatieven die zijn georganiseerd door Maleisische en Chinese nabestaanden om lastige vragen te richten aan de autoriteiten. In een recent interview met CNN zei Bajc dat ‘de focus ligt op vragen waar we geen antwoord op krijgen’.
“Ik denk nog steeds dat het vliegtuig intact is omdat er geen bewijs is van het tegendeel. Het meeste indirecte bewijs wijst erop dat het vliegtuig is gekaapt,” zei Bajc. “Ik weet niet waarom en ik weet niet door wie, maar ik ben ervan overtuigd dat het toestel door iemand is gekaapt.” De vriendin van Phillip Wood is er ook niet zeker van dat alle passagiers onschuldige slachtoffers zijn. Eerder werd bekend dat twee mannelijke passagiers met gestolen paspoorten aan boord waren van de vermiste vlucht naar Peking.
In het interview wijst Bajc erop dat de verdwijning van de Boeing mogelijk verband houdt met een ‘militaire operatie vanuit een bepaald land’. “Een enorm vliegtuig vol mensen is gekaapt,” zei ze.
In 1898 schreef Morgan Robertson in het boek ‘Wreck of the Titan’ over een onzinkbaar luxeschip dat te snel voer en in de Atlantische Oceaan op een ijsberg botste. Vanwege een tekort aan reddingsboten kwamen de meeste passagiers om het leven. Veertien jaar later werden de gefantaseerde gebeurtenissen werkelijkheid toen de Titanic in 1912 een ijsschots raakte en naar de bodem van de zee zonk.
Het is inmiddels meer dan 100 jaar geleden dat de Titanic is gezonken. Het is misschien wel de beroemdste scheepsramp ooit. Op veel plekken in de wereld wordt de ramp nog steeds herdacht.
De Titanic was eigendom van White Star Line, een bedrijf dat onderdeel was van de International Mercantile Marine Company van bankier J.P. Morgan. Voor de scheepsramp beschikte Amerika nog niet over een centrale bank. In 1910 kwam een internationale groep bankiers in het geheim bijeen op Jekyll Island, een eiland voor de kust van Georgia.
Verschillende steenrijke bankiersfamilies stuurden afgezanten naar het eiland, waaronder de familie Morgan, Warburg, Vanderlip, Rockefeller en een vertegenwoordiger van Kuhn, Loeb & Co. Paul Warburg zou niet alleen namens zijn eigen imperium aanwezig zijn geweest, maar ook namens de familie Rothschild. Nelson Rockefeller, een kleinzoon van de beruchte olietycoon John D. Rockefeller, zat namens de bankiers in het Amerikaanse Congres. Ze wilden een centrale bank oprichten in Amerika om eindeloos geld te kunnen bijdrukken.
Het resultaat van de geheime ontmoeting was de Federal Reserve Act, die in het jaar na de ramp met de Titanic werd aangenomen. De Amerikaanse onderzoeker Eustace Mullins was een fervent tegenstander van de Federal Reserve, die volgens het door hem gepubliceerde bewijsmateriaal op onwettige wijze in het bezit was van banken en particuliere aandeelhouders, via het aandeelhouderschap in de 12 plaatselijke afdelingen van de Federal Reserve. Het uitgebreid gedocumenteerde onderzoek van Mullins ‘toont aan dat bankiersfamilies het economische, juridische, medische en politieke leven van de Verenigde Staten beheersen en controleren, met als spin in het web de Federal Reserve van de Rothschilds’.
In september 1911 leken de plannen van J.P. Morgan even in duigen te vallen. Eén van zijn drie zusterschepen, de Olympic, kwam in aanvaring met een Brits marineschip, de HMS Hawke. Voor Morgan was dit een financiële strop. Robin Gardiner schreef in zijn boek ‘Titanic: The Ship That Never Sank?’ over de vele toevalligheden in de aanloop naar de ramp met de Titanic. Hij kwam tot de conclusie dat het zusterschip Olympic op de bodem van de oceaan ligt. Volgens Gardiner zijn de schepen omgewisseld om de verzekeraar te misleiden.
Aan boord van de Titanic of de Olympic bevonden zich ook enkele machtige individuen die de plannen van de bankiers in de weg stonden. Onder hen was John Jacob Astor IV, een Amerikaans zakenman, uitvinder en vriend van Nikola Tesla. Hij opende het Waldorf-Astoria Hotel en kwam om tijdens de scheepsramp. Astor was de rijkste man aan boord van het schip.
Andere tegenstanders van de Federal Reserve aan boord van het schip waren de Amerikaanse zakenmannen Benjamin Guggenheim en Isidor Straus, die kort lid was van het Amerikaanse Huis van Afgevaardigden.
Diende het boek ‘Wreck of the Titan’ voor J.P. Morgan als inspiratiebron om rijke tegenstanders van de Federal Reserve uit de weg te ruimen? Werd op Jekyll Island een plan gesmeed om de concurrentie uit te schakelen?
Er zijn enkele opvallende overeenkomsten tussen de Titanic uit de Olympic-klasse en de Titan uit het boek van Robertson. Het fictieve schip zonk net als de Titanic in april in de Atlantische Oceaan en in beide gevallen waren er onvoldoende reddingsboten aanwezig voor de passagiers. De Titan was 243,84 meter lang en de Titanic was 269,04 meter lang. De Titan had een kruissnelheid van 25 knopen, de Titanic had een kruissnelheid van 21 knopen. Beide schepen werden bestempeld als ‘onzinkbaar’.
De Titanic voer op 14 april 1912 op 640 kilometer van Newfoundland met 22,5 knopen tegen een ijsschots. De Titan voer op een nacht in april op 640 kilometer van Newfoundland (Terra Nova) met 25 knopen tegen een ijsschots. Morgan Robertson stierf in maart 1915, drie jaar na de ramp, aan een overdosis.
Een OOPArt of ‘out-of-place artifact’ is een voorwerp dat gevonden is in ongebruikelijke aardlagen of tussen andere voorwerpen die thuishoren in een bepaald tijdperk, maar waar het betreffende voorwerp niet hoort. Een hypothetisch voorbeeld van een OOPArt is een laptop die men tussen de mummies vindt in een oud-Egyptisch graf.
Bij het opblazen van een stuk rots in Dorchester in de staat Massachusetts in 1852 werd een metalen vaas gevonden. Hoe kwam de vaas terecht in een stuk rots dat meer dan 500 miljoen jaar oud is en kwam de vaas daadwerkelijk uit het gesteente?

Op 5 juni 1852 verscheen in het tijdschrift Scientific American een artikel over de vaas: “De onbekende vaas werd op circa vijf meter onder het oppervlak uit het gesteente geblazen. Er is geen twijfel over mogelijk dat het voorwerp uit de rots is geblazen. Het gesteente is tussen de 541 miljoen en één miljard jaar oud en stamt uit het Proterozoïcum.”
De website Bad Archaeology stelt dat de vaas waarschijnlijk niet uit het gesteente afkomstig is en dat mensen die het voorwerp na de explosie hebben gevonden onterecht aannamen dat het onderdeel was van de rots.
In het artikel van Scientific American wordt het artefact omschreven als ‘een antieke metalen vaas die mogelijk is gemaakt door Tubal Cain, de eerste bewoner van Dorchester’. Cain was een metaalbewerker en zou afstammen van Kaïn, één van de zonen van Adam en Eva.
Veel OOPArts doen denken aan moderne uitvindingen of objecten. Sommigen zeggen dat dat komt omdat beschavingen door de eeuwen heen meerdere malen zijn vernietigd en weer zijn opgebouwd, waarbij iedere keer soortgelijke culturen opkwamen.

A huge cloud was filmed engulfing the main beach in Alicante, causing concern among locals and holidaymakers and prompting debate as to its cause.
The huge white mass is seen rolling across the sands of Albufereta beach, obscuring everything in its path – despite an otherwise cloudless sky.
Some speculated that the cloud was smoke from a fire, while others compared the apocalyptic scenes to the smoke cloud left behind when thousands of firecrackers are set off for the Las Fallas festival in neighboring Valencia.
Spanish local Antonio Carlos Soria Hernandez posted the film showing the unusual phenomenon on his Facebook page and it soon went viral, with thousands of people sharing theshort video.
Tourists and locals from other coastal towns in eastern Spain also reported similar cloud masses in Calpe, on the Costa Blanca, and the popular resort of Benidorm. It was explained as a phenomenon that occurs when the cold sea meets the warmer air from inland, causing a huge cloud to form.
When the video was posted on Facebook, one user commented: 'I thought it was a fire'.
Mr Hernandez, who filmed the scenes, agreed, explaining: 'I saw it and ran down thinking it was exactly that... a fire and caught it on camera, the effect of the cloud is really beautiful.'
This bird-like/dinosaur-like skeleton was found in a Western US cave in 2006. It was about a half mile into the cave within a very small crawlspace opening. They had some cans and bottles with them that they put out and proceeded to take photos. There was no way they were leaving the cave with this item. It had mineralized, part of the trachea was there and very brittle, some hide on it appears to still be on it. The finders did not really understand what they had found, but shared it with someone who recognized it was very unusual, MK Davis. MK was kind enough to share this with me to put out there for the public to puzzle over and see if anyone can identify what this was.
It was a large – what at the time looked like an ostrich sitting on its haunches, head missing, tail missing, upper arms missing (notice the cross bone over the ribs where a velociraptor would have attachment of the forearms) and lower part of the hind leg articulation is missing. When compared to a velociraptor skeleton (below) it looks pretty damn close.
This is one of those mysteries that we hope to settle and I would seriously appreciate any input into what this was.
An artificial light source was seen this week in this NASA photo which shows light shining upward from…the ground. This could indicate there there is intelligent life below the ground and uses light as we do. This is not a glare from the sun, nor is it an artifact of the photo process. Look closely at the bottom of the light. It has a very flat surface giving us 100% indiction it is from the surface. Sure NASA could go and investigate it, but hey, they are not on Mars to discovery life, but there to stall its discovery. Video here:
The idea to build an upscale hotel made to look like a UFO in the middle of the desert may seem ludicrous. However, it makes a little more sense when you consider who is building it and where.
If you have driven from Los Angeles to Las Vegas you probably noticed the signs for Alien Fresh Jerky. You might have even stopped to try it out. If so, you witnessed the UFO and alien spectacle that is the Alien Fresh Jerky store. Aliens can be found climbing on the building and the sign. UFOs and alien automobiles are parked up front, complete with alien pilots/drivers.
The abundance of aliens and UFOs mirrors the abundance of beef jerky being sold at this road side attraction. Luis Ramallo, the owner of Alien Fresh Jerky, has been selling so much jerky that he recently built a 6,000 square foot Mediterranean-style home next to his shop. However, he is no longer satisfied with simply adding more alien dolls and UFOs to the store. He now has plans to build a 31 room UFO hotel (the concept art for the hotel can be seen at the top of this story).
The hotel will cost $30 million to build, and last month the San Bernardino County’s Board of Supervisors signed off on the plan. Ramallo will include an alien-themed gift shop, museum and swimming pool.

He plans on designing the hotel so that it is like walking through a space ship, with a flight deck and themed rooms. However, the rooms won’t come cheap. Ramallo told the San Bernardino County Sun, “This is not economy. This is for high-rollers.”
Although, Ramallo does plan on conducting tours at a more affordable price so that everyone can enjoy the fruits of his efforts.
Ramallo has contracted a designer out of Los Angeles with experience working on amusement parks and the Kennedy Space Center to turn his vision into reality, and he plans to have the hotel finished by the summer of 2016.
Ramallo says, “I think it will be a good attraction that will blow people’s minds.”

Ramallo’s jerky business started off as a humble roadside stand 50 miles east of Area 51 in 2001. Working as a master electrician in Las Vegas, he decided to sell jerky to supplement his income. He sold $800 worth of jerky on his first day, so he knew he was on to something.
He kept working the roadside stand for four months until the police drove him off. They asked him for his green card and work permits. Ramallo moved from Argentina to the U.S. in 1988. He noticed the words “alien resident” on his green card, and that gave him the idea to name his business Alien Fresh Jerky.
Although he started his business near one the most infamous UFO landmarks, he said he was not even aware of Area 51 at the time and didn’t know what an extraterrestrial was. In 2002, he bought land in Baker, California and opened up his Alien Fresh Jerky store. He continued to pull in large numbers of hungry Californians on their way too and from Las Vegas and in two years was able to quit electrical work and sell jerky full time.

His original store was 800 square feet, and besides jerky Ramallo sold nuts and candy. Now his store is 5,000 square feet and he sells over 2,000 products. Most of them are stamped the Alien Fresh Jerky logo which includes a green alien face with big black eyes. He also sells online at www.alienfreshjerky.com.
Now, if everything goes as planned, he will have a large hotel shaped like a UFO, the current store will be renovated to look like an alien transport vehicle, and he will build new storage and office facilities that resemble alien space stations.
Alien Fresh Jerky is slowly taking over the town of Baker. While other businesses, including the Starbucks, have closed, Ramallo continues to flourish. Soon he will have a facility that will make aliens feel at home. Perhaps his hotel will be the first place confirmed alien visitation takes place, and we will owe it all to jerky.

Crop circles have been emerging in grain fields all across the globe. They appear swiftly and usually at night. They are elaborate and reminiscent of geometric forms and profound mathematical theorems.
It is believed that such ‘geological graffiti’ is the work of Nephilim/Alien life forms and their handiwork has been defacing the planet for some time now; and while some of the crop circle formations can be attributed to hoaxes, others cannot be.
The video below reveals bizarre notes taken by a scientist who was commissioned by the government to visit alien crash sites and observe alien life (the scientist is now in hiding). In it he exposes top secret information on how crop circles are created. I think you’ll find it rather interesting….
Those who claim that all crop circles formations are made by hoaxers are dead wrong! In fact, crop circles formations appeared well beyond the 20th and 21st century. In the 16th and 17th century folklore reveals stories about fairies and elves who were dancing in fields and leaving circles in the grass. The earliest depiction of a crop circles occurred in 1678 in woodcut, which depicts a “Mowing Devil” reaping a field into a flattened circle. The story behind it claims that a farmer refused to pay the reaper his dues. As a result strange sounds and lights were seen in his filed and the following morning the farmer found his croup lying in neat circles. Much like we see today.

Also in 1686 a British scientist named, Robert Plot, published a book called A Natural History of Staffordshire, in it he talked about his experiences with geometric areas of flattened plants found in pastureland. He described circles, spirals, and squares with rings. Here is one of his images from the book.

After arriving from work today (03-07-2014) I proceeded to sit in my front porch here in East Los Angeles and proceeded to Summon. A few minutes later I noticed with the naked eye a white object next to the moon. I zoomed in with my camcorder and noticed it was a white Ebani UFO. This is the second Ebani I have filmed. My first Ebani was the orange tube one from last year. This video is 11 minutes long, I did not shorten this video as I would like everyone to know how these Craft move in many intelligent angles and also form different shapes. Thank you and enjoy.
For those who may not know, “Ebani” is a spanish term which means (Entidad Biological Anomalous No Identificada), Simply an “Unknown / Unidentified Flying Biological Anomaly”.
The SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) selected a new organization head.

A press release issued by the SETI Institute on Wednesday, April 9 announced that Dr. David Black has been named the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. The press release describes:
Black, who is President and CEO Emeritus of the Universities Space Research Association and Visiting Scientist at the Lunar and Planetary Institute, is a widely recognized researcher in the fields of star and planet formation, and the search for exoplanets. Black also served as the Chief Scientist for the Space Station and Deputy Chief for the Space Science Division at NASA Ames Research Center. He has chaired numerous advisory committees for NASA and the National Science Foundation.
The SETI Institute is largely known for its efforts related to collecting radio telescope data in search of potentially extraterrestrial communication. But this is just one area of SETI’s research. The organization actively participates in a broad range of research arenas. SETI explains, “More than 75 research scientists lead studies that bear on the search for life, past or present, on Mars or on moons of the outer solar system, as well as the location, composition, and history of asteroids, meteors, and interstellar dust.”
SETI scientists have also contributed to exoplanet discoveries made by the Kepler space telescope. Black states, “With the discovery of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of planets orbiting distant stars, the mission of the SETI Institute is more relevant now than when it began.”

FAMILY’S INCREDIBLE UFO SIGHTING NEAR INDIANAPOLIS AIRPORT
MARCH 29, 2014 ….. INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA
I was driving home westbound on I70 passing near the airport when I noticed something in the sky. We (I was with my 17 and 12 year old daughters) were very near the airport but this wasn’t an airplane. As we got closer to it, I asked one of my daughters “what is that?” It was a V shaped object in the sky but it wasn’t moving. It had lights on it around the point of the V or at the point. I was actually severely lacking sleep at the time so I kept asking my daughter what is that? She kept saying she didn’t know. The only reason we could see it aside from the lights on the object was because the object was darker in color than the sky. The lights were not beaming they were just on. I picked up my phone and called my husband and asked him how fast an airplane had to go in order to maintain any altitude in the sky because this wasn’t moving. My other daughter then said she saw a plane. It was moving. When I got off the phone with my husband I kept asking my daughters what that was. My 12 year old kept saying she didn’t know but that she knew for sure the one object WAS an airplane. I said then what was the other thing? She said I don’t know. So I said when I was on the phone you know for a fact that the one thing WAS an airplane she said yes. I said then what was the other thing? She said I don’t know. The lights I saw were also round in shape I do not recall how many lights there were. I also can not remember exactly what direction the object was in the sky, I know it was not up and down but could have been horizontal but somehow I could see the lights and feel like they were on the bottom or underside of the object. I pulled up some pictures tonight and had my 17 year old look at them because I saw something that looked very similar to what I’d seen. I asked her to look at the pictures and she pointed out exactly what I thought looked like what we’d seen. When I tried to get my 12 year old to look she refused and ran out of the room and avoids anything and everything to do with this. I don’t know why. Because I was so tired I didn’t do what I would have done had I been thinking clearly and that would have been to pull over on the interstate and take pictures (it wasn’t that busy on the road) and I’d have watched it. I hope it happens again but what I’d really like to know is if anyone else has reported it.
I was hiking in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque with a friend and I saw… something. Basically I saw what appeared to be a dog, a normal sized/ full grown German Shepherd running through the underbrush right at us. Except that there was something wrong with it, firstly it had a really odd mouth. Like a MASSIVE humanoid grin kinda like Ryuk from Death Note. A dog should NOT have a mouth like that. It was totally silent, and it seemed to almost float as it moved, I never saw it touch the ground. But as soon as I turned my head and was about to panic: it didn’t materialize, even though it had been coming straight at me from about 20 feet away, nothing. This photo was taken in 1895 by an amateur spelunker/photographer named Oren Jeffries while exploring an unmapped section of Grand Caverns, in Southwestern Virginia. At the time it was taken, Jeffries was conducting photographic experiments, using super long exposures to see if anything at all could be captured in the total absence of light—otherwise known as “cave darkness.” He would situate himself on level ground, extinguish his lantern, and then open the lens of his homemade box camera for as long as he could stand the darkness. During one of these experiments, he heard something approach from the deeper recesses of the cave. Frightened, Jeffries abandoned his experiment and set off one of the Blitzlicht flashes he used for taking traditional photos underground. According to the report he later gave to a local newspaper, Jeffries saw three “humanoid” creatures staring at him from the shadows and took off running in the other direction and didn’t stop running until he was topside. Several days later, he returned with three other men to retrieve his box camera. This is the image that was recorded on the film inside.
A new study has calculated how many people it would take to viably populate another planet.
In the future we may see generational ships heading out across the stars on voyages lasting thousands of years in the hopes of finding new Earth-like worlds to colonize.
Back in 2002, anthropologist John Moore calculated that such a ship would need at least 150 people in order to survive a 2,000-year trip across the cosmos, but is this really enough ? A more recent study conducted by Cameron Smith or Portland State University has cast doubt on this conclusion and suggests that a more realistic number to ensure survival would be between 10,000 and 40,000 people.
These figures were reached by taking in to account the necessary genetic diversity of a population, the possibility of disease or disaster along the way and the likely growth rate from natural births.
“I did this study to materially help in putting together the millions of puzzle pieces that will be required to allow humanity to spread out from our earthly cradle,” he said. Read more at Popular Mechanics
Oopart (out of place artifact) is a term applied to dozens of prehistoric objects found in various places around the world that seem to show a level of technological advancement incongruous with the times in which they were made. Ooparts often frustrate conventional scientists, delight adventurous investigators open to alternative theories, and spark debate.
A hammer was found in London, Texas, in 1934 encased in stone that had formed around it. The rock surrounding the hammer is said to be more than 100 million years old, suggesting the hammer was made well before humans who could have made such an object are thought to have existed.
Much mystery surrounds the so-called “London Hammer.”
Carl Baugh, who is in possession of the artifact, announced that it was tested by Battelle Laboratory in Columbus, Ohio, a lab that has tested moon rocks for NASA. The tests found the hammer to have unusual metallurgy—96.6 percent iron, 2.6 percent chlorine, 0.74 percent sulfur, and no carbon.
Carbon is usually what strengthens brittle iron, so it is strange that carbon is absent. Chlorine is not usually found in iron. The iron shows a high degree of craftsmanship without bubbles in the metal. Furthermore, it is said to be coated in an iron oxide that would not readily form under natural conditions and which prevents rust.
Glen J. Kuban, a vocal skeptic of Baugh’s hammer claims, wrote in a 1997 paper titled “The London Hammer: An Alleged Out-of-Place Artifact,” that the tests may have been conducted privately rather than at Battelle Laboratory. He cites a 1985 issue of the magazine Creation Ex Nihilo. Epoch Times contacted Battelle Laboratory to verify. A spokeswoman said she had not heard of the hammer in her 15 years at the lab, but she would check into it.
Kuban said the stone may contain materials that are more than 100 million years old, but that doesn’t mean the rock formed around the hammer so long ago. Some limestone has formed around artifacts known to be from the 20th century, so rocks can sometimes form fairly quickly.
Baugh’s website says, however, that the fossils in the stone surrounding the hammer “retain fine detail, indicating that they were not reworked, but [are] part of the original formation.” This would suggest the fossils and the hammer are from the same time period, that the fossils did not just get mixed up in materials that formed rock around the hammer at a later date.
Carbon dating performed in the late 1990s “showed inconclusive dates ranging from the present to 700 years ago,” Baugh supporter David Lines reported at the time. According to Kuban, Lines said the test had been contaminated by more recent organic substances. Such contamination is one of the reasons Baugh is said to have delayed having the artifact carbon dated (skeptics say he delayed because he feared being proven wrong). Dating is often called into question on both sides—by skeptics and proponents—for various reasons when it comes to ooparts.
The object was found by a hiker, and it seems it was not found embedded in the original layer of rock, which would have made a stronger case for an ancient origin. It was a chunk of rock found resting on a ledge, perhaps having tumbled there from within a larger formation.
As evidence of the hammer’s age, Baugh said part of the wooden handle had turned to coal. The photos of the hammer show a black part of the hammer that looks like it could be coal.
The debate surrounding the hammer’s origin has become bound up with the creationism versus evolutionism debate. Baugh is a creationist. Kuban is a creationist-turned-skeptic (or a much more moderate creationist). Various creationist organizations take different stances on this artifact, and many evolutionists dismiss it as a creationist hoax. But the object remains a fascinating one apart from its role in this controversy.
