Dit is ons nieuw hondje Kira, een kruising van een waterhond en een Podenko. Ze is sinds 7 februari 2024 bij ons en druk bezig ons hart te veroveren. Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Makhunik en Iran, la cité des nains existe vraiment ?
L'ancien village iranien dans le sud de la province de Khorasan, connu sous le nom Makhunik, connu aussi sous le nom de Shahr-e Kotouleha (City of Dwarfs), a étonné beaucoup de gens qui sont friands de visiter une vraie ville naine. Personne ne savait à priori qu'il existait une antique civilisation dans ce désert avant 1946. Cependant, suite à des études menées par la faculté de l'Université de Géographie de Téhéran en 1946, des poteries ont été découvertes dans Shahdad comme preuve d'une civilisation qui a prospéré dans le désert de Lut.
Compte tenu de l'importance de la question, un groupe d'archéologues a visité la région et a mené des études qui ont conduit à la découverte de civilisations appartenant à la préhistoire (fin du 4ème millénaire avant JC et au début du 3ème millénaire avant JC).
Des fouilles scientifiques et archéologiques ont été menées dans cette région au cours de 1948-1956. Des Cimetières appartenant aux millénaire avant J.-C. et des fours à cuivre des 2e et 3e ont été découverts au cours des huit phases d'excavation. Les reliques découvertes dans les cimetières de Shahdad incluent de nombreuses poteries et vaisseliers.
Situés à environ 100 kilomètres à l'est du district de Shahdad à Kerman (voisine de la province de Khorasan), les vestiges de la ville antique et les structures découvertes évoquent l'image de "la ville de Liliput (Cour de Lilliput)" décrite dans le célèbre roman de Jonathan Swift, Les Voyages de Gulliver. L'ancienne région de Shahdad est répartie sur 60 km au cœur du désert de Lut. La ville comprend des ateliers, des quartiers résidentiels et des cimetières. Les études archéologiques dans le quartier résidentiel connu sous le nom de la "ville des nains" ont révélé la présence de sous-districts dans lesquels les bijoutiers, les artisans et les agriculteurs vivaient. Plus de 800 tombes antiques ont été fouillées pendant les phases d'excavation.
Selon les rapports des archéologues, l'ancienne ville de Makhunik (Makhoonik) faisait partie de la terre de la civilisation d'Aratta et des humains nains sont également rapportés avoir existé depuis 6.000 avant JC.
La petite taille des structures découvertes dans la ville pourrait être la preuve de cette croyance.
En outre, la découverte d'un nain momifié de 25 centimètres dans la zone en 2005, qui a créé de grandes sensations parmi le public, peut également soutenir la revendication. Le cadavre a été récupéré par deux trafiquants qui voulaient vendre la momie pour environ 3 millions de dollars en Allemagne. La recherche dans la région a révélé que même il y a assez peu d'années, la hauteur des personnes à Makhunik atteignait rarement les 150 cm, mais maintenant, ils ont une taille normale. Au même moment, le plus ancien drapeau (blason) en métal de l'histoire humaine a également été mis au jour dans cette ville antique.
Les enquêtes archéologiques dans la "ville des nains" indiquent que les habitants ont abandonné la région en raison de la sécheresse il y a 5000 ans et ne sont jamais revenus. Mir-Abedin Kaboli, qui supervise les fouilles archéologiques de Shahdad, a déclaré : "Après les dernières fouilles, nous avons remarqué que les habitants de Shahdad avaient laissé beaucoup de leurs biens dans les maisons et recouvert les portes avec de la boue. Certains archéologues sont prudents et nient même que la ville de Makhunik était autrefois habitée par des nains anciens.
" Puisque les études médico-légales n'ont pas pu déterminer le sexe du cadavre, nous ne pouvons pas compter sur eux pour parler de la hauteur et de l'âge du corps, et des études plus anthropologiques sont encore nécessaires pour connaître les détails sur la découverte ", dit Javadi, l'archéologue de l'Organisation du patrimoine culturel et du tourisme de la province de Kerman. " Même s'il est prouvé que le cadavre appartient à un nain, nous ne pouvons pas dire avec certitude que la région de sa découverte dans la province de Kerman ait été la ville des nains. C'est une région très ancienne, qui a été enterrée en raison de changements géographiques. En outre, la technologie n'était pas aussi développée à cette époque et les gens pouvaient ne pas avoir été en mesure de construire de hauts murs pour leurs maisons ", a-t-il ajouté.
" En ce qui concerne le fait que, dans aucun des périodes de l'histoire de l'Iran, nous avons eu des momies, il n'est pas accepté du tout que ce cadavre soit momifié. Si ce cadavre se trouve appartenir à l'Iran, il serait un faux. En raison des minéraux existants dans le sol de cette région, tous les squelettes ici sont pourris et aucun squelette intact n'a été trouvé à ce jour. D'autre part, les fouilles archéologiques de 38 ans dans la ville de Shahdad nient toute ville naine dans la région. Les maisons qui sont restées avec leurs murs de 80 centimètres de haut étaient à l'origine de 190 centimètres. Certains des murs sont restés de 5 centimètres de haut, devrions donc nous prétendre que les gens qui vivent dans ces maisons avaient 5 centimètres de hauteur ? " dit Mirabedin Kaboli, leader des fouilles archéologiques dans la ville de Shahdad ".
Plusieurs mois après la découverte, Payvand Iran Nouvelles a indiqué que les études anthropologiques ont révélé que la petite momie datait en fait de 400 anset n'appartenait pas à un nain du tout, mais à un bébé prématuré qui avait été momifié par des processus naturels. " Le squelette appartient à un bébé prématuré qui, en raison des conditions régionales et sa méthode d'enfouissement, a été momifié sous des processus naturels ", a déclaré Farzad Forouzanfar, un anthropologue de l'Organisation du patrimoine culturel et du tourisme de l'Iran. (YH : On se souvient que, pourtant, un autre spécialiste dit le contraire et qu'il n'a jamais été trouvé de momie en Iran à cause des conditions régionales, justement...)
Alors, que pouvons-nous conclure à propos de Makhunik et la petite momie ? Il semble que la plupart des reportages des médias sur l'affaire ont été stimulés par la rumeur et déformés par le sensationnalisme. Il semble plus probable que la momie soit le reste naturellement préservé d'un bébé, des études anthropologiques l'ont révélé.
Néanmoins, il est curieux que les légendes de «petites gens» n'existent pas seulement en Iran, mais peuvent être trouvées dans de nombreuses cultures à travers le monde. L'Histoire des Petits Peuples perdus, selon le Dr Susan Martinez, auteur de "L'histoire des Petits Peuples : Leurs civilisations avancées spirituellement à travers le monde", une ancienne race de gens qui étaient de petite taille, a autrefois habité la Terre. Elle se réfère à des légendes et des histoires de nombreuses cultures, comme les dieux nains du Mexique et du Pérou, la Menhune d'Hawaï, le Nunnehi des Cherokee, ainsi que les Pygmées africains et le Semang de la Malaisie, et s'appuie sur les découvertes de réseaux de tunnels minuscules, de petits cercueils, de portes basses dans des monticules, et des huttes de la taille de pygmées, comme preuve de cette race ancienne. Alors, pourquoi ces êtres n'auraient pas existé dans l'ancien Iran ?
Après un laps de 5000 ans, depuis le départ des nains de la ville, une large bande de cette région préhistorique est enterrée dans le sol et la migration des nains de Shahdad reste assombrie de mystères. Humans have long wondered whether we are alone in the universe. According to scientists working with the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) Institute, the question may be answered in the near future.
"It's unproven whether there is any life beyond Earth," Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute, said at a House Committee on Science, Space and Technology hearing Wednesday (May 21). "I think that situation is going to change within everyone's lifetime in this room."

Vancouver reported 116 UFO sightings in 2013, more than any other Canadian city. The city that once played host to The X-Files is also the best place in Canada to spot a flying saucer, according to the Canadian UFO Survey. That’s right: If the truth is out there, Vancouver is probably a good place to find it. Astronomer Chris Rutkowski said the sheer number of sightings – 1,100 in all of Canada last year – demands further research. ““Are we looking at a real phenomenon? Is there a psychological phenomenon accounting for all this?” said Rutkowski, who works with the Canadian UFO Survey. “Why do people persist in seeing something that supposedly shouldn’t be there?” Vancouver has been a UFO hot spot for years, according to the survey, and B.C. was second only to Ontario for sightings in 2013. About 300 UFOs were reported across the province, with sightings peaking between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Rutkowski said most UFO sightings can be easily explained as satellites, planes or military exercises, but 10 per cent remain a mystery. Also unexplained are some incidents of crop circles, which have confounded farmers in Northern B.C. in the past. Charles Lamoureux, a Vancouver resident, claims he sees UFOs on a regular basis. “I see them every night,” he said. “I can pretty well tell what’s a satellite and not a satellite. If it’s not a satellite and way up in the atmosphere and it changes direction, there’s not many things it could be.” He claims to have seen his first UFO three years ago and was entranced by the possibility of communication with beings not from earth. Lamoureux has since purchased a Yukon Night Vision Device, which he uses to peruse the night sky, searching for any sign of visitors from another planet. In one memorable incident, he said an orb came about 15 metres away from his balcony seemingly observing him. It hovered for a few moments before shooting off into the night sky. Another time, he shone a light at a mysterious object in the sky with the orb flashing a light in response. KEN’S NOTE: Personally I feel the percentage of unexplained UFO sightings is more like 30%. Many UFO investigators write off thousands of sightings to birds, bugs, satellites and planes. Of course they are guessing 90 % of the time. We need more investigators with open minds and the passion that comes with investigating a UFO sighting. Many people are not cut out to be a UFO investigator because sometimes people cannot handle the truth. It really opens your eyes to how many and how detailed some of these UFO sightings can be.
There is certainly an alien presence on this earth.

De hitte van de vulkaanuitbarstingen moet ervoor hebben gezorgd dat op de flanken van de vulkaan - met ijs bedekte - meren ontstonden.
Studente Kat Scanlon van de Brown University berekende dat dit alles tot honderden kubieke kilometers smeltwater moet hebben veroorzaakt. En wie water zegt, die denkt aan leven.
Bovendien is het mogelijk dat er onder gesteente of onder de grond nog wat van dat gletsjerijs bewaard is gebleven. "Allen daarheen" kan aldus het motto zijn.

The mutilation of cattle and its relation to sightings of unidentified flying objects is a well documented phenomenon, however mutilations have also been found in humans.
There are many cases where unidentified flying objects have been linked to mutilation and removal of organs in humans, phenomena investigated by various authorities and today still unexplained.
The phenomenon of animal mutilation is difficult to explain in conventional terms, and has been linked for decades with UFO's, because strange lights are sometimes witnessed in proximity to sites where animal carcasses are found.
But have human beings suffered similar attacks?
Rumors about human mutilation have circulated the UFO community for years and there are many cases where unidentified flying objects have been linked to mutilation and removal of organs in humans, with some people claiming to have had contact with a military group which is used to acquire the corpses of victims and to hide all evidence of human mutilations. Shungite is zeldzaam en wordt op maar één plaats ter wereld gevonden: in Karelië, een regio die gedeeltelijk deel uitmaakt van Finland, maar voor het grootste deel in Rusland gelegen is. De steen werd voor het eerst ontdekt in de buurt van het plaatsje Shun’ga.
Sommigen zeggen dat shungite in de oceaan is gevormd, terwijl anderen menen dat de steen is meegebracht door meteorieten. In 1985 ontdekten wetenschappers dat de steen fullerenen bevat. Hierdoor is het een interessant studieobject voor wetenschappers, de industrie en de medische wereld.
De bewoners van Karelië maken naar verluidt al honderden jaren gebruik van de helende eigenschappen van shungite. Tot het eind van de twintigste eeuw waren grafiet en diamant de enige bekende verschijningsvormen van koolstof.
Harold Kroto van de Universiteit van Sussex en Robert Curl en Richard Smalley van de Rice-universiteit kregen in 1996 de Nobelprijs in de scheikunde voor hun onderzoek naar fullerenen. In 2003 werd onderzoek gepubliceerd naar medische toepassingen van fullerenen: ze kunnen specifieke antibiotica binden om resistente bacteriën aan te pakken en zelfs kankercellen aanvallen, zoals melanomen. Daarnaast vindt steeds meer onderzoek plaats naar supergeleiding van fullerenen.
Fullerenen hebben een antioxiderende werking en verminderen de concentratie vrije radicalen, die in het lichaam kunnen leiden tot de vernietiging van cellen, versnelde veroudering, schade aan de huid, hartaandoeningen en kanker. Vrije radicalen worden met name veroorzaakt door luchtverontreiniging, kunstmatige toevoegingen aan voeding, stress en zware metalen.
Shungite wordt al sinds het begin van de 18e eeuw gebruikt bij medische behandelingen. Tsaar Peter de Grote opende het eerste Russische kuuroord in Karelië waar gebruikt werd gemaakt van de waterzuiverende eigenschappen van shungite. Hij gebruikte de steen ook om gezuiverd water te leveren aan het Russische leger en op deze manier dysenterie te voorkomen.
In Rusland is op medisch en ecologisch gebied veel ervaring opgedaan met shungite. Om de positieve invloed van shungite op het fysische en psychische welzijn te testen werden verschillende shungite-ruimtes ingericht. De oudste is te vinden in Petrozavodsk, de hoofdstad van Karelië.
Andere zijn te vinden in een militair hospitaal aan de rand van Sint-Petersburg, de Moskouse gevangenis Matrosskaja Tisjina en in Beslan in Noord-Ossetië, waar de ruimte na een gijzelingsactie op een school werd gebruikt om schoolkinderen te helpen bij de verwerking.

Apparently, in June of 1977 Area 51 had a problem with mysterious cattle deaths. The EPA was notified and investigated, but were unable to figure out why these six cows died.
The documents were found by UFO researcher Shepherd Johnson via the digital archives of Congressional ProQuest. The document was difficult to read so I transcribed the document below.
According to the report, the animals had sufficient food and water, and there were no apparent signs of struggle or trauma. The cattle mutilation phenomenon, which was very common in the southwest during the late 70s, usually entailed the animals having strange cuts and missing organs. That does not appear to be the case with these cows.
However, it is apparent by the tone of the report that the investigator was at a loss as to explain how these cows died. The water samples they refer to collecting came back without any toxins. It appears this case was never solved.

To: The files
On June 20, Mr. Jerry Doran, off-site monitor , MOR, was informed by Area 51 security personnel, of a recent series of deaths among the cattle that wander onto the Area 51 complex from the herds of Mr. Steve Modlin who ranches to the east. The security personnel had noted six carcasses within the past two weeks.
After consultation with Mr. Ernest D. Campbell of ERDA/NV, it was decided that Mr. Doran and I should investigate and attempt to determine the cause or the causes of the death of these animals. We arrived at the Area 51 complex at 100 hours on June 21 and talked to security personnel (Mr. Krause). They furnished us with a map showing the locations of the carcasses (see enclosure). They stated that numbers 1, 4, and 5 had been noted about two weeks before and the remaining animals had died within the last week (probably since Friday).
No animals had been note to be sick. Water was readily avaialble at the Area 51 recreation lake and at a corral approximately one mile beyond the east gate. Water had also been available for the last several weeks due to rain runoff on the dry lake bed.
Mr. Doran and I examined each of the carcasses. In all Cases, petrifaction was so advanced to make a necropsy or sample collection impractical. A description of each carcass is as follows:
Animal Number 1: An aged Hereford cow in advanced state of decay (estimate of two weeks) located on edge of dry lake bed. No visible signs of trauma or agonal struggling. Brand on left side indecipherable.
Animal Number 2: Brahman-cross cow with brand D/4 on left side. Estimated dead one week. Age unknown as could not see teeth for maggots. No signs of trauma or agonal struggling.
Animal Number 3: Four- to five-year-old Brahman-cross cow. About same stage of decay as number 2. No visible signs of trauma or agonal struggling. Same brand as number 2.
Animal Number 4: Aged Hereford cow lying on dry lake bed. Advanced decomposition of carcass indicated death about two weeks ago. No signs of agonal struggling or trauma. Water sample collected from lake bed about 100 yards from the animal.
Animal number 5: Aged Hereford cow in advanced stage of decomposition. Desiccation of carcass had begun which indicated it had been dead about two weeks. Again no signs of agonal struggling or trauma.
Animal number 6: Hereford cow dead within last week. Too many maggots to examine teeth. Some slight signs of struggling by rear feet.
All six of these animals were lying on sides with neck and head extended and four feet fully extended. no signs of trauma or agonal struggling were visible. My impression was all animals dies suddenly.
An Angus bull in the same area appeared normal and was in good condition. Graze appeared adequate. Drinking water was readily available. Area 51 personnel denied any severe electrical storms in the last few week. No Poisonous plants were noted except for scattered Halogeton along the roadways.
Water samples were collected at the dry lake bed and the recreational lake and were submitted for analyses. Area 51personnel were asked to report any other deaths to me promptly so a necropsy could be made.
Security personnel were going to notify Mr. Medlin of the deaths of his cattle that evening and secure his permission to bury them.
The cause or causes of death of these six animals was not readily apparent. Possible causes might include one or more of the following:
Lightning strikes – Not too likely in so many different locations as different times.
Trauma – (vehicle or bullets) – no external evidence.
Toxins – toxic plants not overly abundant. Water sources have been used for years previously. However, Mr. John Titus, EPA employee, said that when he was seventeen he rode for a cattle company that ran cattle over the Groom Lake area, and that about 30 to 40 cattle died whose deaths were attributed to drinking the water standing on the dry lake bed after the rain. Water samples were collected for analyses.
Infectious disease – no history of sickness – other animals in area appear healthy.
Starvation – good graze, readily available water.
Metabolic disturbances – bloat, grass tetany, etc., not likely.
Hopefully, if any other deaths occur, a more prompts investigation will shed more light on the causation agent.

When, in 2006, the British Ministry of Defence declassified its three-year study of UFOs known as Project Condign, former USAF Sgt. John Burroughs pretty much skipped it. Initially stamped “Secret UK Eyes Only” by authorities, the 1997-2000 analysis attempted to soft-peddle The Great Taboo by swapping out the UFO acronym for the less incendiary Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAP). And it went to great pains to reassure the “Eyes Only” crowd there were no intelligent forces in play, just rare haphazard confluences of meteorological elements broadly referred to as “buoyant plasma formations.”

Based on reported and observed effects, Condign went on to describe what was undoubtedly some of the damnedest and most fearsome highly-localized weather you’d ever want to see. Generating electromagnetic anomalies forcing pilots to take potentially catastrophic evasive action, subjecting observers to radiation exposure, and even provoking hallucinations and “lost time” events, UAP — reported Condign — even held promise for weaponization. “The relevance of plasma and magnetic fields to UAP was an unexpected feature of the study,” wrote the unnamed authors. “It is recommended that further investigation should be [undertaken] into the applicability of various characteristics in various novel military applications.”
At the time, it was all gobbledy-gook to Burroughs. Burroughs was more preoccupied with high technology and hardware, the kind of stuff he and fellow first-responder Jim Penniston insist they confronted in the woods outside a U.S. airbase in southern England in late December 1980. Now regarded as one of the most famous UFO episodes in history, the controversy about what went down in the wilderness separating adjacent American military bases in Bentwaters and Woodbridge has provided grist for documentary and cable-channel programming for years. But it it refuses to go away, because whatever these retired 81st Security Police and Law Enforcement Squadron veterans encountered in Rendlesham Forest continues to plague their health today.
What Burroughs didn’t realize — at least, not until he revisited Condign in 2008 and gave it a more careful read — was that the MoD’s formerly classified assessment also included references to his own life-altering encounter:
“The well-reported Rendlesham Forest/Bentwaters event is an example where it might be postulated that several observers were probably exposed to UAP radiation for longer than normal UAP sighting periods,” it stated. “There maybe other cases which remain unreported. It is clear that the recipients of these effects are not aware that their behavior/perception of what they are observing is being modified.”
Meteorological behavior modification -- really. But wait, it gets worse: “Any pursuit of this process of indentification or elimination [of EM radiation] is pointless if the UAP radiation is other than EM radiation as we know it.” After all, Condign continues, “It is not certain that the radiation/fields are conventional and electromagnetic in nature.”
Reconnecting after nearly 30 years to compare notes of their mutual incredulity, Burroughs and Penniston discovered they were both suffering from multiple health issues. Their subsequent efforts to acquire their military medical records have been stonewalled by the Department of Veterans Affairs. With the VA under fire (again) for screwing veterans over, the timing probably couldn’t be better for the release of Encounter in Rendlesham Forest, their first-person recollections of that almost impossibly complex event, written by former MoD agent Nick Pope.
For now, leave aside all notions about ETs and alien spacecraft. This is an ongoing story about doctored service records, hot-potato buck-passing among allies, and (finally) intervention from Sen. John McCain’s office. With VA critics calling for Secretary Shinseki's scalp and all eyes focused on veteran' grievances, this Cold War mystery might finally gain some traction. We'll take an even closer look next time.

Ever hear about a mass murder and think, huh, I wonder if a yeti did it? Okay, probably not your first conclusion. Or second. Or fifty-fifth. But that was the one explorer Mike Libecki found himself drawn to in investigating the cold case of the Dyatlov Incident, a journey documented in “Russian Yeti: The Killer Lives” (a two-hour special premiering on Discovery Sun. June 1 at 9:00 p.m.). Crazy, right? Well, hold on a minute.
There haven’t been a lot of other plausible explanations for what happened on Feb. 2, 1959, when nine college students hiked up the slopes of Russia’s Ural Mountains but didn’t come back down (not on their own steam, at least). Their bodies were later found scattered across their final campsite, some partially naked and with strange injuries including crushed ribs, a fractured skull, and one hiker whose eyes had been gouged out and tongue removed. Libecki doesn’t just pull the yeti idea out of thin air, by the way — it comes from interviews, the diaries of the hikers and the pictures taken before their deaths. Oh yeah, it was a picture of a yeti.

Stanley Romanek to be evaluated before court proceedings continue
The Loveland author of numerous books on the extraterrestrial will be assessed by a psychologist before court proceedings for the felony charges against him move forward.
Stanley Romanek appeared in 8th Judicial District Court on Wednesday with his public defender, who requested that the scheduled preliminary hearing be continued. Romanek was arrested by Loveland police on Feb. 13 on allegations of possession and distribution of child pornography.
According to his attorney, Romanek receives services related to cognitive deficits, and a psychologist hired by the public defender’s office will assess Romanek and determine his competency to proceed.
A status conference was scheduled for 2 p.m. on July 7. – Reporter Herald
A Delaware County man has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $350,000 worth of human skin from a Philadelphia hospital for years.
Gary Dudek, 54, of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, is charged with theft and tampering with records. According to investigators, Dudek repeatedly stole skin grafts from Mercy Philadelphia Hospital between November 2011 and July 2013.
Police say their investigation didn’t begin until January of this year, however, after officials at Mercy conducted an audit of their finances and noticed that skin grafts were missing.
According to investigators, Dudek worked as a sales representative for Organogenesis, a Massachusetts-based regenerative medicine company, between September 2006 and September 2013. Police say he was in charge of managing accounts for Mercy Hospital’s bio-science department and that he also supplied the hospital with skin grafts.
Due to his position, Dudek had an “open purchase order” which allowed him to order the skin grafts whenever he wanted. However, police say Dudek made several unauthorized purchases, and Mercy never received the grafts, leading the hospital to lose an estimated $357,000.
Officials also say Dudek was captured twice on surveillance video taking the skin grafts from the hospital and putting them in his car.
Dudek was arrested and released on Tuesday after posting 10 percent of $10,000 bail. At this point, investigators say they don’t know what Dudek did with the skin or the motive behind the alleged thefts. They suspect, however, that he was trying to make commission off of sales.
NBC10 visited Dudek’s home on Wednesday, but he refused to comment and referred us to his attorney, Eugene Tinari.
Tinari said in a statement that the issue should be a civil court matter and that the hospital has yet to prove his client did anything wrong.
“If Mercy Hospital has suffered losses and they can be deemed to be as a result of Mr. Dudek’s actions then perhaps a civil suit could have been initiated. But to take this into the criminal arena against a man who has been nothing but hard-working and law-abiding his entire life is a bit draconian, in my view,” he said.

The traditional concept of a vampire in popular culture is one of a blood-sucking creature of the night that can turn in to a bat and has no reflection, but outside of books and movies there has been a growing community of people who have come to identify themselves as modern day vampires.
Senior lecturer Dr Emyr Williams has been conducting the first ever academic study in to this unusual subculture and has drafted a questionnaire in an effort to learn more.
“We are talking about a group of individuals who believe they have a psychological need to consume blood,” he said. “Some books say there are between 10,000 and 15,000 people in the UK who call themselves vampires, with maybe another 30,000 being donors. So we’re trying to reach as many of these people as we can to try and understand them better.”
Some modern vampires take their beliefs so seriously that they sleep in a coffin at night and even have their teeth sharpened in to fangs, however most don’t take things to such an extreme.
“This is a subculture that exists in every country, especially in the west,” he said. “It is fascinating and all very real, which is why I wanted to conduct this study.” Read more at Telegraph

Yeah, those red-haired mummies show up again - even in Egypt.
Source: Racially speaking, the inhabitants of Egypt at this period in time were separated into three groups. Skeletal evidence from grave sites show that the original White Mediterraneans and Proto-Nordics were in a majority in the area. A well preserved body found in a sand grave in Egypt dating from approx 3000 BC is on display in the British Museum in London with the nickname "Ginger" for his red hair.
CHINA
Taklamakan mummy (China desert)
Let's talk a little about the "Tarim Mummies" found in the Tarim Basin (HINT - Ancient Giants Loved lakes and basins are dried up lake beds). This find was especially unusual and the called them "Europoid physical type whose closest affiliation is to the Bronze Age populations of southern Siberia, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and the Lower VolgaIo."
When you hear the descriptions, some buttons are going to go off for you and as I believe Asia was the origin of the giants, this really intrigues me. SOURCE: Notable mummies are the tall, red-haired "Chärchän man" or the "Ur-David" (1000 BCE); his son (1000 BCE), a small 1-year-old baby with brown hair protruding from under a red and blue felt cap, with two stones positioned over its eyes; the "Hami Mummy" (c. 1400–800 BCE), a "red-headed beauty" found in Qizilchoqa; and the "Witches of Subeshi" (4th or 3rd century BCE), who wore 2-foot-long (0.61 m) black felt conical hats with a flat brim. Also found at Subeshi was a man with traces of a surgical operation on his abdomen; the incision is sewn up with sutures made of horsehair.
This blond female mummy found in 1989 in the Taklamakan Desert in China was 3000 years old and believed to have been a sacrifice. Interestingly, the mummies dug up on Catalina Island in California had blond hair and showed women and children sacrifices.
The baby buried in the same grave was believed to be a sacrifice buried alive.
This female was braided and wearing finely woven garments (remember that fine weaving in the characteristics of the "originators" race?) These people were believed to have created the infamous silk roads, bringing horses, saddles, Buddhism and metal work to China. Her red hair and tall stature were assumed to be European.
Source: Meanwhile, Yingpan Man, a nearly perfectly preserved 2,000-year-old Caucasoid mummy, discovered in 1995 in the region that bears his name, has been seen as the best preserved of all the undisturbed mummies that have so far been found.
Yingpan Man not only had a gold foil death mask -- a Greek tradition -- covering his blonde bearded face, but also wore elaborate golden embroidered red and maroon garments with seemingly Western European designs.
His nearly 2.00 meter (six-foot, six-inch) long body is the tallest of all the mummies found so far and the clothes and artifacts discovered in the surrounding tombs suggest the highest level of Caucasoid civilization in the ancient Tarim Basin region.
CONCLUSION
Ultimately, its becomes obvious that there were some dirty dealings among primitive people with sacrifices and these tall red and blond folks running about in the thousands of years BC with advanced knowledge. How does this all work together with the "originator" culture? Well, the coloring and height and technology fit, but not necessarily with the skull shapes from what I can tell on these photos. So, perhaps the races between earlier man were much more diverse than we assumed that there were races from Homo Erectus in Asia that left long before Homo Sapiens emerged from Africa and these breeds of folks from Neanderthal, Denisovan, and others, were interbreeding and creating hybridized and intelligent folks. It's my sincere hope that scientists go with open minds to find the truth of their origins. It seems if there is hair, there should be DNA....
A coronal mass ejection burst off the side of the sun on May 9, 2014. The giant sheet of solar material erupting was the first CME seen by NASA’s Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph, or IRIS. The field of view seen here is about five Earth’s wide and about seven and a half Earth’s tall.
IRIS must commit to pointing at certain areas of the sun at least a day in advance, so catching a CME in the act involves some educated guesses and a little bit of luck.
The IRIS Observatory was designed by and the mission is managed by Lockheed Martin Solar & Astrophysics Laboratory. NASA’s Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California, provides mission operations and ground data systems. NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, manages the Explorers Program for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington, D.C.

Al sinds de oudheid verschijnen er verhalen over ongeïdentificeerde vliegende objecten (UFO’s). NASA-wetenschapper Richard Stothers concludeert dat er een aantal raadselachtige waarnemingen zijn die niet kunnen worden verklaard. Dit fenomeen omvat vele eeuwen en verschillende culturen, aldus de onderzoeker.
Stothers (1939-2011) studeerde aan de Princeton- en Harvard-universiteit en was werkzaam voor het Goddard Institute for Space Studies van NASA. Hij heeft uitgebreid onderzoek gedaan naar 5 onverklaarbare UFO-waarnemingen in de klassieke oudheid.
Strijdwagens in de lucht
De Romeins-Joodse historicus Josephus schreef rond 65 na Christus over een fantastische waarneming boven Judea: “Op de 21e dag van de maand Artemisium verscheen een wonderlijk fenomeen. Ik denk dat deze waarneming normaal gesproken zou worden afgedaan als een fabel, ware het niet dat er veel verslagen van ooggetuigen zijn. Voor zonsondergang werden strijdwagens in de lucht gezien. Gewapende bataljons vlogen door de wolken en daalden neer op de steden.”
Volgens Stothers was Josephus waarschijnlijk zelf getuige van de gebeurtenissen. Door de getuigeverslagen werd zijn geloofwaardigheid versterkt. De omschrijving lijkt niet overeen te komen met een natuurlijk fenomeen, schreef Stothers.
Duizenden Romeinse soldaten zien UFO
De Griekse historiograaf Plutarchus schreef over een onbekend object dat door duizenden werd gezien. In 74 voor Christus marcheerde het Romeinse leger in de richting van de troepen van koning Mithridates VI van Pontus.
“Zonder dat het weer veranderde, scheurde de hemel open en viel er tussen de twee legers een enorm, vlammend object naar de aarde,” schreef hij. “Het had de vorm van een wijnkruik en was zilver van kleur. Beide kampen stonden voor een raadsel en gingen ieder hun eigen weg. Dit wonder geschiedde in Frygië, in een plaats genaamd Otryae.”
Stothers wijst erop dat het waarschijnlijk geen meteoriet is geweest omdat meteorieten zwart zijn in plaats van zilver. Plutarchus schreef nergens over een inslag. Er is een kans dat het een bolide was, een meteoor die vaak explodeert.
Waarneming tijdens de Tweede Punische Oorlog in Rome
Tijdens de Tweede Punische Oorlog (218-201 voor Christus) zijn door de Romeinse geschiedschrijver Titus Livius vele waarnemingen van onbekende objecten opgetekend. De teksten zijn verkregen uit de Annales Maximi (Grote Jaarboeken), die werden gepubliceerd door de pontifex maximus van Rome.
In de winter van 218 voor Christus was boven Rome ‘een vliegspektakel zichtbaar’. In 217 voor Christus verschenen ‘boven Arpi ronde schilden in de lucht’. In 173 voor Christus ‘werd in Lanuvium een enorme vloot gezien in de lucht’.
Het lijkt Stothers sterk dat de UFO’s indertijd zijn verward met wolkformaties, omdat dergelijke formaties toen al geruime tijd bekend waren. De waarnemingen hebben volgens de NASA-wetenschapper ook niets te maken met een parhelium of bijzon.
Engelenhaar
In een aantal UFO-stukken kan worden gelezen over glasachtige vezels of kalkachtige substanties die door onbekende objecten zijn achtergelaten, ook wel bekend als engelenhaar.
In 196 na Christus schreef de Romeinse geschiedschrijver Lucius Cassius Dio: “Een fijne, zilverkleurige regen viel neer op het forum van Augustus. Ik doopte enkele bronzen munten in de zilverkleurige substantie. Na vier dagen liet de substantie weer los.” In 214 voor Christus en in 98 voor Christus zou het ‘kalk hebben geregend’ in respectievelijk Cales en Rome.
Paus Pius
Paus Pius I heeft rond 150 na Christus in de buurt van Via Campana in Italië een UFO waargenomen. “Op een zonnige dag landde een ‘beest’ van een stuk aardewerk met een doorsnee van 30 meter en een gekleurde bovenkant in een stofwolk. Er schoten felle stralen uit en het werd vergezeld door een ‘juffrouw’ gekleed in het wit.”
Stothers concludeert na het bestuderen van UFO-waarnemingen in de klassieke oudheid dat er een klein aantal onverklaarbare (of op zijn minst niet geheel verklaarbare) meldingen is van vermoedelijk geloofwaardige getuigen.
